- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in its true good Steve listening together, Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join Jo. You gotta do that turn you're
- 1:10Speaker 1: going to do. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You haven't got to turn them out to turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come come on your bad huh?
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will good morning everybody you are listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come on deem me now, one and only.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, I said every day
- 2:13Speaker 1: because God been good to me. God has done some
- 2:16Speaker 1: things in my life that's truly been just amazing. It
- 2:20Speaker 1: really amazing. Ain't even really the word. They don't really
- 2:23Speaker 1: have a word for what He's done for me. I'm
- 2:25Speaker 1: just out of superlatives. That's why I said every day.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God is in
- 2:30Speaker 1: a blessing business. Yeah it is. God. God can help
- 2:34Speaker 1: you turn your life around. Did you hear me? God
- 2:38Speaker 1: can help you turn your life around. Whatever you're going through,
- 2:42Speaker 1: God has an answer for it. See. But it's the
- 2:44Speaker 1: going through that gets us though, ain't it? Because I
- 2:47Speaker 1: was having a moment yesterday, and I set my wife down.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I said, Babe, I just need to talk to him.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Going through a little bit right now. I just wanted
- 2:54Speaker 1: to share what I'm a little down right now. My
- 2:57Speaker 1: wife reminded me. She just reminded me, just see this
- 3:01Speaker 1: what a man. That's what a good mate does. A
- 3:05Speaker 1: good mate reminds you just of things that sometimes you
- 3:10Speaker 1: forget when you get off track. Because you know, I
- 3:14Speaker 1: consider myself a motivational type person. I try to listen
- 3:18Speaker 1: to people and then give them something I've learned along
- 3:21Speaker 1: the way on this journey I've been on. I try
- 3:23Speaker 1: to give a person a takeaway. But even being that person,
- 3:26Speaker 1: sometimes I get off track myself. I get a little
- 3:31Speaker 1: a little low. Sometimes, you know, I get a little down.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Sometimes I sometimes I forget some of the stuff I say.
- 3:37Speaker 1: And ain't that I forget it. I guess I just
- 3:41Speaker 1: get caught up in the grind of doing it, and
- 3:44Speaker 1: sometimes I get a little off course and I forget
- 3:48Speaker 1: some of the things that my wife or a mate
- 3:52Speaker 1: can be good for you to remind you. And she
- 3:55Speaker 1: just says, Steve, God got us. She said, have you
- 3:59Speaker 1: ever known to stead every time you get in a spot,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and she say, and I know how you must feel,
- 4:04Speaker 1: because you out here working and and then you keep
- 4:07Speaker 1: turning around and and and and old stuff keep popping up,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and you get a call from your accounting and hit
- 4:14Speaker 1: this then went wrong, and not then when you steady
- 4:16Speaker 1: trying to fix it, but you steady going wild? Man,
- 4:19Speaker 1: what does this? She say? But you ever noticed he
- 4:21Speaker 1: always always, no matter what, provide a way. And he
- 4:27Speaker 1: ain't ever too late, or you might be going the
- 4:29Speaker 1: deadline is approaching. The deadline can come and pass, but
- 4:34Speaker 1: then they have a grace period for you. And then
- 4:37Speaker 1: sometimes man, it's just you go down now after the
- 4:39Speaker 1: grace period and they take the payment anywhere and you're
- 4:42Speaker 1: good anyway. But see, ain't that God bringing you through it?
- 4:46Speaker 1: It may not be when you want it, but he
- 4:48Speaker 1: right on time. Jazz before you get put out, jazz
- 4:52Speaker 1: before they turn. Maybe they cut the lights off, but
- 4:54Speaker 1: you get it back on. Jess Folk company come or
- 4:57Speaker 1: just before the weekend, get here. See he always comes
- 5:01Speaker 1: through for you. And she had to remind me of
- 5:04Speaker 1: that what you're going through is necessary. Look, circumstance and
- 5:10Speaker 1: hardships and pitfalls are always untimely. If you keep the
- 5:15Speaker 1: law of attraction and play. If you keep believing that,
- 5:18Speaker 1: that's that He gonna see you through this, just like
- 5:21Speaker 1: he do when you don't believe it. That's what the
- 5:24Speaker 1: old part is though, ain't it. Ain't God brought you
- 5:27Speaker 1: through even when you didn't really had a faith to
- 5:31Speaker 1: say he was gonna bring you through. But because of
- 5:33Speaker 1: grace and mercy he brought you through anyway. But because
- 5:37Speaker 1: you forgot to thank him, or you didn't pay attention
- 5:40Speaker 1: through to come through, you just was telling people, oh, man,
- 5:43Speaker 1: of you to see me. It was so jacked up. Man,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I was so turned up. I ain't know what I
- 5:48Speaker 1: was donna do. I almost got put out. I was
- 5:50Speaker 1: gonna see keyword almost, And you forgot that part right there.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And then I was look like I won man and
- 5:56Speaker 1: death and seemed like every month I go through this
- 5:59Speaker 1: same thing and then da yeah. Then somebody ought to
- 6:03Speaker 1: just say, did you pay it? Yeah? I paid it?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Did you get put out? Now? I'm cool? See some
- 6:08Speaker 1: see you need somebody on your shoulder to say that
- 6:10Speaker 1: to you, and then you need somebody to come right
- 6:13Speaker 1: behind him and go, man, ain't God good? Really? Man?
- 6:17Speaker 1: That's how this works. See you keep getting in situations,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but He keep getting you out. Now if you jump, look,
- 6:25Speaker 1: listen to me. Hold on. Let's say you in the
- 6:28Speaker 1: frying pan and the skillet and all is up and
- 6:31Speaker 1: you and that frying and you uncomfortable being fried God somehow.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Or let's just say you managed to get out of
- 6:40Speaker 1: the hot grease in the frying pan, and you standing
- 6:43Speaker 1: that next to the skillet, looking at the fire, continue
- 6:47Speaker 1: to heat the grease, you get out, and then for
- 6:50Speaker 1: some unexplainable reason, you dives right on back in there.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Ain't that how we usually do it? I'm just asking you, God,
- 7:00Speaker 1: get you away from the man you've been asking to
- 7:03Speaker 1: get away from. Then you go right back over there
- 7:05Speaker 1: and start seeing him again. It's amazing how many times
- 7:10Speaker 1: God get us out the fire and we walked right
- 7:13Speaker 1: back in there. Ain't it amazing? Man? I mean, really, man,
- 7:18Speaker 1: see this high break life down for me so I
- 7:21Speaker 1: don't get over here stuck on, stupid with myself, and
- 7:24Speaker 1: then get to doing something ignorant like blaming God, when really, man,
- 7:27Speaker 1: God has given us, as human beings, the power of decision,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and we all make decisions. How many times? Man? See?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a blessing and getting locked up. You can
- 7:36Speaker 1: ask a lot of caps I know, man to tell
- 7:38Speaker 1: you it was a blessing for me, man, because I
- 7:40Speaker 1: was just headed the wrong way, steady, but he locked
- 7:43Speaker 1: me up. Setting me down made me miss my family,
- 7:47Speaker 1: miss being out here, being a free man, made me
- 7:50Speaker 1: realize that my family was important. Made me. Man, really
- 7:53Speaker 1: see this girl for what she was. When I get out, Man,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm on a straight and narrow Well, then when you
- 7:59Speaker 1: get out, See you can't be talking about no. Oh man,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I can't find no job. Now I'm gonna go and
- 8:05Speaker 1: do what I gotta do. No, no, no, no, no, partner,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you got to do now what you're supposed to do.
- 8:10Speaker 1: See that don't do what you gotta do got you
- 8:12Speaker 1: in trouble in the first place. See everybody, see see
- 8:16Speaker 1: the hood got a lot of ignorant rules. We didn't
- 8:18Speaker 1: create it. I gotta do what I gotta do. I
- 8:20Speaker 1: gotta feed my family. Well, the only reason you gotta
- 8:22Speaker 1: do what you gotta do is because you didn't do
- 8:25Speaker 1: what you were supposed to do. See if you just
- 8:27Speaker 1: went on to school like your mama kept telling you.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Oh man, I was watching forty eight hours yesterday and
- 8:33Speaker 1: the dude named Nesto was on that and Nesto Latino
- 8:36Speaker 1: do said, Man, my mother told me quit hanging with
- 8:39Speaker 1: these guys. They were going nothing but trouble. I should
- 8:42Speaker 1: have listened to her. He doing thirty years right now.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You can't blame God. That's why I talk to myself
- 8:49Speaker 1: this way, so I don't get stupid and start shifting
- 8:52Speaker 1: to blame the wrong way when it's really on me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: How many times has God got you out of something
- 8:58Speaker 1: and you walk right back into it? Man, why don't
- 9:01Speaker 1: you take these blessings God give you and going about
- 9:03Speaker 1: your business? That be the best way to do it.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Don't you think That's what I think? So I thank
- 9:11Speaker 1: God my wife for reminding me that God got us anyway,
- 9:15Speaker 1: that God gonna pull you through anyway that. Have you noticed, Steve,
- 9:18Speaker 1: we ain't lost a beat. Oh. I know it's hard
- 9:21Speaker 1: out here, but really you ain't lost a beat. You're
- 9:24Speaker 1: still moving forward, You're still dressing nice, you still look
- 9:28Speaker 1: good when you come into that job. Everybody don't got
- 9:31Speaker 1: to know you. Your house is in bad shaping. All
- 9:34Speaker 1: that God got you, man, if you just hold your
- 9:37Speaker 1: head up, man, quit complaining all the time about what
- 9:41Speaker 1: you ain't got, And as in words of my daddy's
- 9:43Speaker 1: slick Harvey, stop talking about what you ain't got and
- 9:46Speaker 1: take a good look at what you do. God, that's
- 9:48Speaker 1: improper grammar, but that always stuck with me, and maybe
- 9:51Speaker 1: it'll stick with you. Quit talking about and look at
- 9:54Speaker 1: what you ain't got to take a good look at
- 9:55Speaker 1: what you do. God, you're listening, show, ladies, gentlemen, everybody listening.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I need your attention for this simple, very simple, but
- 10:10Speaker 1: factual announcement. Today is the day that the Lord has made.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. It's a
- 10:20Speaker 1: very simple scripture. It means so much to me. I
- 10:25Speaker 1: would invite you to just do the same. It's a deal.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Today is all we really have. The past belongs to history,
- 10:36Speaker 1: the future belongs to God. We have today. You should
- 10:41Speaker 1: rejoice and be glad in it because this is yours.
- 10:45Speaker 1: That's why they call it the present, because it's an
- 10:48Speaker 1: unwrapped gift. It's the present, This is yours, this is ours.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Let's get in. Welcome to the Steve Harper Martins Show,
- 10:56Speaker 1: Charley Strawberry, Caller forem Mississippi Monica Junior, Better Notice, Kids,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and the legend of nephew Tommy yours truly, Junior, What
- 11:04Speaker 1: boy tell you what I remember one of your most
- 11:08Speaker 1: famous jokes? Will it turner? I give my money? I
- 11:12Speaker 1: saw the other day. Man, Man, what lisz have you
- 11:16Speaker 1: gone through to get your money? If somebody don't have
- 11:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey money, what liszt have you been through? I'm
- 11:23Speaker 1: gonna tell you one of the biggest impacts, one of
- 11:26Speaker 1: the moments. It's the true story. I got paid in
- 11:30Speaker 1: Arkansas one night and we were performing at this comedy
- 11:33Speaker 1: club that was upstairs on the second floor had a
- 11:36Speaker 1: bar in it. I kind of stayed till the show
- 11:38Speaker 1: was over, talking to some of the bar tenders and waitresses,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and I put my little cash in a bag, which
- 11:45Speaker 1: was seven hundred and fifty dollars, and I'm walking because
- 11:50Speaker 1: I could walk across the street to the condo that
- 11:54Speaker 1: they let the comedian stay in. And I come downstairs
- 11:57Speaker 1: and I'm walking across the parking lot and this dude
- 12:01Speaker 1: runs up behind me and grabs me from behind, and
- 12:05Speaker 1: I kind of turned that I could see the waitresses
- 12:07Speaker 1: upstairs on the balcony what I had just left, and
- 12:11Speaker 1: they was talking and laughing. So I thought it was
- 12:12Speaker 1: one of the little bartenders playing. You know how they play.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I don't really play like that, you know how how
- 12:18Speaker 1: he I go along with it. But a pickup truck,
- 12:21Speaker 1: he grabs me from behind. It was kind of tight,
- 12:24Speaker 1: but I said, okay, that's how he's trying to play.
- 12:26Speaker 1: He wasn't strong enough to toss me, but he was
- 12:28Speaker 1: holding me. A pickup truck pulls up right in front
- 12:31Speaker 1: of me, and the dude jumps out the truck and
- 12:33Speaker 1: it's charging at me. Now. Right then the hood in
- 12:37Speaker 1: me goes off. Yeah. I don't know if they still playing,
- 12:41Speaker 1: but it don't look like playing to me. So I'm
- 12:42Speaker 1: gonna act like it ain't no play game no more.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I put my chain on my chest and threw my
- 12:49Speaker 1: head back into his face as hard as I could,
- 12:52Speaker 1: bust his nose. But here the dude come, the little
- 12:56Speaker 1: white dude gonna bend over and charge me. And that
- 12:59Speaker 1: was where quicker then I was in my thirties. So yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 1: bending over charging me, that's a mistake. I put this
- 13:05Speaker 1: knee in your chin. Come to find out they was
- 13:09Speaker 1: robbing me. Oh dog, I was. You ain't got no gun,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you ain't got no knife, y'all ain't strong, y'all ain't coordinated.
- 13:20Speaker 1: You robbing me? Yeah, you ain't got none of qualification, boy,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and you can't fight. You win here you get my
- 13:29Speaker 1: seven fifty. All right, it's a nice day at the outside.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Nice activity. Right after the show, still had my hands.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Thank you, Lord, coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:41Speaker 1: the hour. Run that prank back right after this. You're
- 13:44Speaker 1: listening to show the nephew is here to run that
- 13:49Speaker 1: prank back? What you got for us, niff, You prayed
- 13:53Speaker 1: for a job. I'm onka Hello, I'm trying to read
- 14:00Speaker 1: a Carol and please listen. Caro, Hi, Carolin, listen. My
- 14:04Speaker 1: name is Lawrence. Lawrence. I actually go to the same
- 14:07Speaker 1: church you do. I saw you last Sunday where you
- 14:10Speaker 1: stood up in the church and I heard that you
- 14:12Speaker 1: were talking about you going through some bad times or
- 14:16Speaker 1: your job supposedly got rid of the department that you're
- 14:19Speaker 1: in and you were now seeking a new type of work.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Am I right? I just just work period because you're
- 14:26Speaker 1: looking for a new occupation and you I was there
- 14:28Speaker 1: when you asked everybody to pray for you. Have you
- 14:31Speaker 1: have you found anything yet? I have? I've been praying
- 14:34Speaker 1: up and we prayed again today. I asked for the
- 14:37Speaker 1: churches prayers again today. And the thing's gonna work out
- 14:41Speaker 1: because you know, he said you take one stuff, he's
- 14:42Speaker 1: gonna take two. That's right. I'm prof and I know
- 14:45Speaker 1: what's going to happen. I know. Well, listen, I think
- 14:47Speaker 1: I may be able to be of some help to you.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I actually owned my own company, and I'm thinking that
- 14:53Speaker 1: you could be the perfect person for a position that
- 14:55Speaker 1: I have available. Now, what what type of work were
- 14:58Speaker 1: you doing in the past. Give me some of your qualification.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'm executive secretary, administrative assistance, anything like that, Kase ever
- 15:05Speaker 1: was a minute? Uh even take the old star shorthand
- 15:08Speaker 1: often do at all? You just said what you need
- 15:11Speaker 1: and I can do it. Take care of your executives
- 15:13Speaker 1: to come through the office, anything that's needed, travel expenses,
- 15:17Speaker 1: That's what I do. Okay. What type of hours are
- 15:21Speaker 1: you used to? Working? Nine to five? Sometimes I'll come
- 15:24Speaker 1: in at Hey, I'll have a problem to coming at eight.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I'm coming even earlier if you need me to come
- 15:28Speaker 1: in earlier. Are you opposed to working at night? No,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm working at night. I mean it
- 15:33Speaker 1: just it just appens, you know, right, my burgers can't
- 15:35Speaker 1: be choosing I ask him and being given to me. Okay, well,
- 15:39Speaker 1: what kind of hours you looking at? I have a
- 15:41Speaker 1: I have an offer for you that it would be Thursday,
- 15:44Speaker 1: Friday and Saturday night. You will only be working three
- 15:47Speaker 1: days a week for me, okay, just from I was
- 15:50Speaker 1: looking for sever a female out of the female days,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and he like full time. I have a family. Well
- 15:55Speaker 1: do it to day right right, I understand, but listen,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I think the actual mount will suffice for that. Now,
- 16:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna offer you seven hundred and fifty dollars per
- 16:05Speaker 1: night for three nights a week. That's that's two thousand,
- 16:08Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty dollars for for for those three
- 16:11Speaker 1: days for one week. Seven hundred and fifty dollars a
- 16:18Speaker 1: night and something you're making a week now and if
- 16:25Speaker 1: you do the math on that, that adds up to
- 16:27Speaker 1: about nine thousand dollars for a month to betro. But
- 16:32Speaker 1: now I put a rising. Was I turned it earlier?
- 16:36Speaker 1: That's we expectedly. I did it from a seven hundred
- 16:39Speaker 1: fifty dollars A nine meaning the books, you know, because
- 16:43Speaker 1: I drive the accounting too. Well, let me say this now.
- 16:46Speaker 1: The reason why I say it's at night is because
- 16:48Speaker 1: I own a nightclub and and you would be working
- 16:52Speaker 1: at the nightclub for me. So you would put in
- 16:54Speaker 1: about four or five hours every night, and and for
- 16:58Speaker 1: three nights a week like I stayed at Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And and of course I'll play your seven hundred fifty mint.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Of fact, I'll actually pay you your first two weeks
- 17:06Speaker 1: in advance. And I know, I'm sure you you know
- 17:10Speaker 1: you've you've lost your balance. You need to get back
- 17:12Speaker 1: on your feet and everything. Yes, yes, yes, okay, Um,
- 17:16Speaker 1: so so you know I'll be doing it today. I'm
- 17:19Speaker 1: sure like I can do office work. I'm good like accounting.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You tell me a front door. I think that keep
- 17:26Speaker 1: your books going right? Well, no, not necessarily. I don't
- 17:28Speaker 1: need you to work to the front door. Um. I'm
- 17:30Speaker 1: actually gonna have you in the club working, okay. So, um,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I mean how are you how's your physical condition? Are
- 17:38Speaker 1: you able to get around? And you don't get tired quick?
- 17:40Speaker 1: Do you? Now? You're in good physical shape? Yes, I
- 17:44Speaker 1: don't keep tied quick at all. You need to do
- 17:47Speaker 1: something like being able to bartenders or something to work
- 17:49Speaker 1: to the body. Make sure of money's now, nobody's selling
- 17:51Speaker 1: money from your something. No. No, no, you're not at
- 17:53Speaker 1: the ball either. See because what I'm gonna do now,
- 17:56Speaker 1: have you ever done anything like, you know, anything close
- 17:58Speaker 1: to dance or anything like that. Have you done that
- 18:01Speaker 1: in the past? Yeah, I do live ballet when I
- 18:03Speaker 1: was younger. Uh, drill squat cheering. I mean you go
- 18:09Speaker 1: out ever watching the while you do the dancing here
- 18:11Speaker 1: and there. Okay, okay, well that's good because see, what
- 18:15Speaker 1: what I wanted you to do is I want you
- 18:17Speaker 1: to do a little bit of dancing in the club.
- 18:20Speaker 1: You have something like ballroom dancing or something that you
- 18:23Speaker 1: need to teach it. I don't know how to do
- 18:24Speaker 1: the ball room. I can't work with nobody on that
- 18:26Speaker 1: stuff like that. No, I'm not asking you to do
- 18:29Speaker 1: any ballroom dancing anything like that. What I need you
- 18:32Speaker 1: to do, I want you to dance on the pole
- 18:37Speaker 1: on the post. See I have a strip club. I
- 18:38Speaker 1: want you to dance on the pole Potter Dancing Party. Well,
- 18:45Speaker 1: actually I own um the silk Stocking, which is a
- 18:48Speaker 1: strip club. I'm not a stilk stocking. Look that has me.
- 18:52Speaker 1: You don't want you must the mother body. You can
- 19:00Speaker 1: say that. Paul, listen with your name. You can shut
- 19:04Speaker 1: up that pole up here. Let's watch your mind. But
- 19:07Speaker 1: don't you want to make this money? I got seven

- 21:13Speaker 1: for seven years, but I caught her and my biological
- 21:17Speaker 1: father in the showers Sunday night. I stopped by her
- 21:20Speaker 1: house after she told me she wasn't feeling well. I
- 21:23Speaker 1: walked in the bathroom, but they didn't see me, so
- 21:25Speaker 1: I bolted out of the house. Should I tell them
- 21:29Speaker 1: what I saw or not. That is a question. Well,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I don't think you should. I mean, you saw it,
- 21:36Speaker 1: What business is it of yours? I'm just trying to
- 21:41Speaker 1: figure it out. What is this your mama? Your mama
- 21:45Speaker 1: been mad to your stepdaddy for seven years. You walked
- 21:47Speaker 1: in and you saw her in a shower with your daddy.
- 21:50Speaker 1: They haven't done that before. Mama, just catching up, that's all, that's,
- 21:57Speaker 1: of course, But what would she say? Though? There's nothing
- 22:01Speaker 1: you can't Mama? I saw you in that with daddy,
- 22:03Speaker 1: And how that sound I do with you? The fact
- 22:10Speaker 1: that that ain't her husband right now? That ain't none
- 22:12Speaker 1: of your business. Yeah, See, this is life. All is
- 22:16Speaker 1: what you ain't gonna ever do. I remember one time
- 22:19Speaker 1: my brothers was talking to me. I was about nine,
- 22:21Speaker 1: ten years old, and I heard him, my two big brothers,
- 22:24Speaker 1: talking about girls and what they was doing. And I said,
- 22:28Speaker 1: out loud, I never do that with a girl. Don't
- 22:34Speaker 1: looked at me and said, if you don't shut your
- 22:36Speaker 1: dumb hands up, I said, boy, you don't. You ain't
- 22:41Speaker 1: even had a girl yet. When you get a girl,
- 22:44Speaker 1: boy too, you ain't fit to do this with no girl. Boy,
- 22:46Speaker 1: you I can't even tell you what they told me,
- 22:50Speaker 1: but it turned out to be so true. Okay, okay,
- 22:54Speaker 1: all right, karma and Oxford writes, my boyfriend is on
- 22:58Speaker 1: a health kick and always on my case about eating
- 23:00Speaker 1: junk food. I saw a Kroger receipt in his car
- 23:04Speaker 1: and he had bought a snicker and a coke. I
- 23:07Speaker 1: jokingly told him that I found the receipt, and he
- 23:10Speaker 1: got mad and said, I can't be trusted because I
- 23:13Speaker 1: went through his personal belongings. Was it really that serious?
- 23:17Speaker 1: Hell no, hell no, that asis? And what he tripping for?
- 23:22Speaker 1: Is he that big of a liar where he want
- 23:24Speaker 1: to maintain the heat healthy all the time. Let me
- 23:27Speaker 1: tell you something. I don't know a living soul that
- 23:31Speaker 1: eats perfectly healthy all the time. No, it's hard to
- 23:36Speaker 1: turn down a snicker. I sat down with a vegan.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Have known this brother to be a vegan for years.
- 23:44Speaker 1: His ass was eating chicken ways with me one day.
- 23:48Speaker 1: A vegan yeah, and he told me, he said, hey, man,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I just man, I'm gonna try. Hain't had one one,
- 23:54Speaker 1: and they smelled so good. I didn't judge him. I
- 23:58Speaker 1: thought you was vegan. You are a vegan, But all
- 24:00Speaker 1: that dog. Now, I ain't saying vegans is eating meat,
- 24:03Speaker 1: because a lot of them ain't. But you eat unhealthy foods.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Vegan's gonna eat some unhealthy time. And I got some
- 24:10Speaker 1: news for you too. All vegan food ain't that good
- 24:14Speaker 1: for you. Some of the stuff is excessive in a
- 24:17Speaker 1: lot of areas. So if any any if you once
- 24:20Speaker 1: you overdo anything, it's bad for you. Do you know
- 24:23Speaker 1: you can drink too much water? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 1: so you know, go ahead, all right? Moving on to
- 24:33Speaker 1: Ella in Kansas. Ella says, I'm a sixty six year
- 24:36Speaker 1: old single woman and I met a man that's my age.
- 24:40Speaker 1: But he's a lot to handle in the bedroom. He's
- 24:42Speaker 1: on the pills that give you vitality and he doesn't
- 24:45Speaker 1: need any help with that at all time. Huh. Go ahead.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Every time I turn around, he's got that thing of
- 24:54Speaker 1: his out pointing it at me. Please he wo hey,
- 25:00Speaker 1: what summer down? Yeah? Yeah, too much, it's too much.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Go Ellen. You can stop seeing him. You can stop
- 25:13Speaker 1: seeing him. Now, there's the other side to that coin.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Now you can be one of the old ass dudes
- 25:20Speaker 1: where the peel don't work or don't nothing work, and
- 25:22Speaker 1: then y'all just sitting up there, knitting front, poach front poach,
- 25:27Speaker 1: sitting up that doing stuff. He don't even really careful,
- 25:29Speaker 1: you know, making dolls, making doll you know, take this gift,

- 25:42Speaker 1: you know, y'all key, y'all get you know, look little
- 25:44Speaker 1: little look, look, you know you're old. You need some activities.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Well you know what he ain't for you? Then gone back.
- 25:51Speaker 1: You like being single, you're sixty six, Go ahead, yeah,
- 25:55Speaker 1: he's sixty six. He finn't get this right though. She
- 26:01Speaker 1: just wants him to simmer dock load and five ain't

- 26:14Speaker 1: she wants him to simmer down. Yeah, but I'm but
- 26:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now because I got a
- 26:19Speaker 1: lot of friends, and I know they don't had many
- 26:22Speaker 1: discussions about these peel. Listen to me. You build up
- 26:26Speaker 1: a tolerance. If you keep on, you're gonna build up
- 26:30Speaker 1: a tolerance. What used to be one pill gonna have
- 26:34Speaker 1: to be two pells. And if you're getting the prescription,
- 26:37Speaker 1: feel then pills. It's expensive. There's two thousand dollars pells
- 26:41Speaker 1: Now he gonna keep on. He's gonna buy himself out.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Now he gonna mess rob. He gonna buy himself out
- 26:54Speaker 1: to situation. That's an expensive prices ass I own out.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Oh okay, he got it all. Hang on in there,
- 27:06Speaker 1: he got it out, all right. Here we go sheersia
- 27:16Speaker 1: and Lexington says, I'm twenty seven years old and I'm
- 27:19Speaker 1: dating a man that just got married. He was a
- 27:22Speaker 1: single dad when we met, and he never told me
- 27:24Speaker 1: he was getting married. The wife moved in with him,
- 27:27Speaker 1: and he introduced me as the babysitter. I love his kid,
- 27:31Speaker 1: and I think I can remain professional and keep the job.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Should I quit or stay? Girl, it's no way you're
- 27:40Speaker 1: gonna be able to keep this up. You think that
- 27:43Speaker 1: woman is a fool. You think she ain't gonna know.
- 27:47Speaker 1: You think the dude you're dating is that brilliant. His
- 27:51Speaker 1: dumbass talking about you the babysitter. What what the babysitter?
- 28:00Speaker 1: You gonna get tired and looking at the babysitter look
- 28:02Speaker 1: like you. You gonna get tired of being the babysitter.
- 28:08Speaker 1: He gonna leave something somewhere. This is this is a disaster.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Waiting to happen. The kid don't say something, nah, Mama,
- 28:21Speaker 1: when you ain't here, Daddy be coming back home. They
- 28:23Speaker 1: be in the dear room. All right, thank you. Feel

- 28:38Speaker 1: be happy. I just want to be happy. Well, you
- 28:40Speaker 1: know what it's. It's be yourself. According to a new
- 28:43Speaker 1: survey of two thousand Americans, people think the key to
- 28:47Speaker 1: being successful and being I mean to being blissful is
- 28:50Speaker 1: a mix of being true to yourself and spending time
- 28:53Speaker 1: with your family. Steve, and that old saying that money
- 28:57Speaker 1: can't buy happiness is reflected on this list. Huh, excuse me,
- 29:05Speaker 1: you had something gonna say that's what make you happy.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna go from ten to one. Okay, number number ten,
- 29:15Speaker 1: they asked two thousand Americans. One of the biggest fights.

- 29:36Speaker 1: they asked. Now, go ahead. Number nine. Spend time outside.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Spend time outside, you know, around nature around nature. Like
- 29:45Speaker 1: name you live in the projects, Okay, you know what's

- 31:15Speaker 1: Number two. Watching TV shows or movies now that makes
- 31:20Speaker 1: you happy? Movie yeah? Action movie yeah? Yeah? Now like
- 31:25Speaker 1: forty eight hours old that makes you happy? Watching a

- 32:04Speaker 1: list says money, not one thing. I don't have all
- 32:07Speaker 1: this but can't go nowhere. You just broke at the family,
- 32:15Speaker 1: but money ain't in there at all at all. Okay,
- 32:19Speaker 1: let me go over something. Okay, who as first of all,
- 32:23Speaker 1: let's just use money compared to all these. Number ten

- 34:01Speaker 1: makes you happy. Man, if you met my sister, you
- 34:03Speaker 1: you ain't gonna do that. Don't say that that boy
- 34:10Speaker 1: can talk about your Why you think I'm alway with y'all? Hey,

- 34:24Speaker 1: it's the most fun I've had many really really enjoyed
- 34:29Speaker 1: my kids because they've grown now, they ain't as stupid

- 43:59Speaker 1: this is However Russell. I'm Isaiah. I'm a a realator
- 44:03Speaker 1: real estate and I'm trying to do some schematics. I'm
- 44:07Speaker 1: thinking I'm I'm calling the right house. I'm not quite sure.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Are you West Dixie Road? Uh? Yeah, that's how many
- 44:17Speaker 1: square feet is your house? If you don't mind me asking, Uh,
- 44:20Speaker 1: it's about thirty five square feet. I don't know this
- 44:23Speaker 1: is the right house or not. Is this you have
- 44:25Speaker 1: a deck out in the back of all weather type
- 44:27Speaker 1: of deck out in the back? Yeah? I do what
- 44:30Speaker 1: do you? What do you? What do you? What's this about? Okay,
- 44:33Speaker 1: if you don't mind me, Russell, how long have you
- 44:35Speaker 1: lived there? Yeah? Man, I've already asked you twice, and
- 44:39Speaker 1: you're asking me for like pros information on my CREB.
- 44:42Speaker 1: It's just a reference to Okay, Well, like I said,
- 44:45Speaker 1: I'm a realator and I'm trying to get ahead of
- 44:47Speaker 1: some things that's going on. And you're well, it's been
- 44:52Speaker 1: brought to my attention that your house is going to
- 44:54Speaker 1: be it's going into foreclosure. It's gonna be on the
- 44:58Speaker 1: on the market in the next two to three weeks.
- 45:01Speaker 1: So I wanted to make sure I was getting the
- 45:03Speaker 1: right house, and I wanted to make sure you got
- 45:06Speaker 1: the wrong house. My my my house is not going
- 45:08Speaker 1: and foreclosure. I'm up to date. I'm good. So you
- 45:11Speaker 1: got you definitely got the wrong house. Okay, hang on
- 45:14Speaker 1: so West Dixie Road, And like you said square feet.
- 45:21Speaker 1: This is a two car garage, right, I don't know.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I don't know what information you're getting. But when it
- 45:26Speaker 1: comes to my name in my crib and what's going
- 45:29Speaker 1: on with my bills and all that, I'm up to
- 45:31Speaker 1: date and I'm fine. So you got the wrong information,
- 45:34Speaker 1: you got the wrong the wrong person, or the wrong
- 45:36Speaker 1: information on the right house, whatever it is. But this
- 45:39Speaker 1: is not My house is definitely not going in the
- 45:41Speaker 1: foreclosure bills like it's my woman, you get me so
- 45:45Speaker 1: I So. My whole thing is is I don't even
- 45:48Speaker 1: know why you're calling. My house is definitely not for sale.
- 45:51Speaker 1: It's now or not on for going a foreclosure. I'm
- 45:54Speaker 1: not behind all my bills, sir. I'm telling you what
- 45:56Speaker 1: my books say, and this is all I'm looking at,
- 45:59Speaker 1: legitimate legal paper money. Yo. What I'm trying to tell
- 46:01Speaker 1: you is this, I don't care about your bucks. Read
- 46:05Speaker 1: what I'm read, Read what I'm writing to you. I'm
- 46:08Speaker 1: up to date on my mortgage. You're just the realtor soul.
- 46:11Speaker 1: My whole thing is, you're not nobody's selling my house.
- 46:13Speaker 1: My house is now Okay, no, no, let's let's back up.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Let's go back to you just the real You're not
- 46:18Speaker 1: gonna talk to me like that. Now, I'm a realtor
- 46:20Speaker 1: and I'm a person. That's that's that's on top of
- 46:22Speaker 1: my game. Your house is going into foreclosure. Now you
- 46:25Speaker 1: can be a denial if you want to be. But
- 46:27Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get on top of everything and
- 46:28Speaker 1: get you know, try to sell the house as soon
- 46:31Speaker 1: as it hits the market. So I know what I'm not.
- 46:33Speaker 1: You don't know, my man. Look, it's not thinking the
- 46:38Speaker 1: foreclosure dude. So so so if I'm looking at paperwork here,
- 46:42Speaker 1: why am I looking at paperwork that has your address
- 46:44Speaker 1: on it? Sir? That's not like a personal problem. I
- 46:47Speaker 1: obviously you now top your well, you know, the personal
- 46:50Speaker 1: problem is gonna be yours when they when they come
- 46:51Speaker 1: put you out your house. This is foreclosure. That's your address. Man. Yo,
- 46:56Speaker 1: Look I try to tell you, man, don't knock on
- 46:59Speaker 1: my door, call my don't call none of that. Nobody's
- 47:02Speaker 1: coming to my house knocking on the door, trying to
- 47:04Speaker 1: put me out of my house. And on top of
- 47:06Speaker 1: that before closure takes a long time. Well, that's what
- 47:10Speaker 1: I mean. This is, this is, this is, this has
- 47:12Speaker 1: been in there a long time. It's coming up in
- 47:15Speaker 1: the next couple of weeks. That's what I'm telling you.
- 47:18Speaker 1: What paperwork do you have? I am looking at what bank?
- 47:22Speaker 1: What do you even even know what bank did? Is
- 47:24Speaker 1: it's telling the house or trying to put me in foreclosures?
- 47:27Speaker 1: Are you with do you? Are you with first five deality?
- 47:32Speaker 1: That's not a concern. Okay, will you just asked me, sir,
- 47:35Speaker 1: you just asked me. That's what's on this paperwork and
- 47:38Speaker 1: the foreclosures. You got the wrong paperwork when you have
- 47:41Speaker 1: the wrong hand dress and taps to somebody else's. Shoot, Okay,
- 47:44Speaker 1: this is your address. It is the right square footage,
- 47:47Speaker 1: it is the right hand set entertaining you right now,
- 47:50Speaker 1: my man, I'm telling you I'm not my isn't going
- 47:52Speaker 1: in the foreclosure? Okay, you know what. You're getting angry
- 47:56Speaker 1: with me, But really, if you have paid your bills,
- 47:57Speaker 1: you wouldn't be in this situation. You know what I
- 47:59Speaker 1: mean that I'm paying my bills, but ifally you're not
- 48:03Speaker 1: paying yours because you're on your way in the foreclosure.
- 48:05Speaker 1: And now you're getting upset with me when I'm just
- 48:07Speaker 1: a realtor calling trying to trying to catch funny to me. Funny,
- 48:12Speaker 1: I'm on my candle, my business barbecue right now, Dude,
- 48:15Speaker 1: I'm not this zero. Let's just a general fear of
- 48:20Speaker 1: me going in the foreclosure. The attitude is not necessary.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Matter of fact, this is probably didn't call me with
- 48:26Speaker 1: this bullet. This is probably your last barbecue on the deck,
- 48:30Speaker 1: So enjoy that. Look you come over here and you
- 48:33Speaker 1: call me again, you'll be on the brol You got me.
- 48:35Speaker 1: All I'm telling you is this right here? Bro, they
- 48:37Speaker 1: come in to close your house out in two weeks.
- 48:40Speaker 1: All I wanted was the schematics on your house. That's
- 48:42Speaker 1: all I wanted. Well, obviously you have all information you need.
- 48:46Speaker 1: You already know more about what's going on with my
- 48:48Speaker 1: personal fears than I do. But I'm gonna tell you
- 48:50Speaker 1: it's gonna be a problem to come out knos to
- 48:52Speaker 1: my fucking door. Okay, Well, I need to come up
- 48:54Speaker 1: and take a look at my house getting foreclosed on
- 48:57Speaker 1: that that that's not how it works, all right. I
- 48:59Speaker 1: need to come up and take some pictures of the house.
- 49:01Speaker 1: So is that gonna be the internet? Get up the internet?
- 49:05Speaker 1: But you got I need to come in. I need
- 49:07Speaker 1: to come inside, sir, and see the condition of the house. Yeah,
- 49:14Speaker 1: you me right. I'm not going in the foreclosure. I'm
- 49:17Speaker 1: up to date with all my You're not coming to
- 49:20Speaker 1: my house. You're not getting inside the house. Okay, you

- 49:29Speaker 1: seems to think different, Michayla. Don't you work with Michaela?

- 50:21Speaker 1: play way to you come over here if you want to.

- 51:01Speaker 1: booster button baby. He said, hey man, hey, hey, hey man,
- 51:05Speaker 1: hold on, I didn't ask you twice. Who are you now?
- 51:09Speaker 1: The animal? Personal business? What what? What? What you want? Yeah?
- 51:15Speaker 1: But then time me try to get offended, just the relative.

- 52:24Speaker 1: Buggle up, hold on tight, We got it for you.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Here it ease. Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject your
- 52:30Speaker 1: single unless you're married is the subject? All right? Dear
- 52:35Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I am thirty six years old and I've
- 52:38Speaker 1: been in a great relationship for four years. A year ago,
- 52:43Speaker 1: I noticed a change in my man and changes in
- 52:47Speaker 1: our sex life. If I initiated sex, he made up
- 52:50Speaker 1: excuses like he has acid reflux and he's scared sex
- 52:54Speaker 1: might give him a heart attack. Then I saw a
- 52:58Speaker 1: text on his phone that said I of you too.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I asked about it, and he said he texted her
- 53:04Speaker 1: some relationship advice that was only responding to her. He said,
- 53:08Speaker 1: it's no big deal to love a friend without romantic involvement.
- 53:11Speaker 1: I told him if he continued to send messages like that,
- 53:15Speaker 1: he was going to need some relationship advice too. After that,
- 53:18Speaker 1: he changed his password to his fingerprint to access his phone,
- 53:23Speaker 1: so I had to be creative to find out if
- 53:25Speaker 1: he was sneaking around with another female. I checked to
- 53:28Speaker 1: social media direct messages and all of the proof was there.
- 53:33Speaker 1: His advice in quotations to her was to leave her
- 53:37Speaker 1: man and be with him. I found out he'd introduced
- 53:40Speaker 1: her to his mother as his future wife, and that
- 53:44Speaker 1: broke my heart. I sat and wrote him a note
- 53:47Speaker 1: telling him what I had seen and told him i'd
- 53:50Speaker 1: be at my sister's while I figured things out. He
- 53:53Speaker 1: called me and said he loves me, but he's not
- 53:56Speaker 1: in love with me. He also said he is not
- 53:59Speaker 1: in love with the new girl, but he's very close
- 54:02Speaker 1: to it. He apologized to me and said I have
- 54:05Speaker 1: every right to be hurt, but I shouldn't be upset
- 54:08Speaker 1: because we were just dating, not married. He said, technically
- 54:13Speaker 1: he's single, and so am I. Why did he stay
- 54:16Speaker 1: with me with four years and use me until something
- 54:20Speaker 1: better came along. We talked about marriage, but I guess
- 54:23Speaker 1: he had other plans. I was blindsided and I feel
- 54:27Speaker 1: like a fool. I am moving out of his house
- 54:29Speaker 1: and his life. Where did where did I go wrong? Whole?
- 54:36Speaker 1: Technically he's single and so are you. That part is true,
- 54:40Speaker 1: and you do have every right to be upset. You
- 54:42Speaker 1: can be upset if you want to be upset. I'm
- 54:45Speaker 1: sorry this happened to you. Four years is a long
- 54:47Speaker 1: time for this to be the outcome. And you know,
- 54:50Speaker 1: I'm sure you were hoping for way more, something a
- 54:53Speaker 1: little more permanent, like marriage, since you mentioned marriage in
- 54:57Speaker 1: your letters that you guys talked about it. But you know,
- 55:00Speaker 1: I say this better late than never, because it is
- 55:03Speaker 1: clear that this man is not for you. He said
- 55:07Speaker 1: he loves you like you can I guess love a
- 55:10Speaker 1: pet or something. But he's not in love with you.
- 55:12Speaker 1: So the best thing for you to do is to
- 55:15Speaker 1: let him go. The quicker you do that, the sooner
- 55:17Speaker 1: you can get on with your life. But the lead,
- 55:20Speaker 1: the learning process is gonna be gonna be hard for you.
- 55:25Speaker 1: You say, where did you go wrong? That that's the
- 55:28Speaker 1: hard part. He was getting everything he wanted from this relationship,
- 55:32Speaker 1: sex with you, all the benefits of marriage. You were
- 55:35Speaker 1: living together, you know, and and even with that, he
- 55:39Speaker 1: still considered you guys single. So these are the lessons
- 55:44Speaker 1: that you gotta that you gotta, you know, watch and
- 55:48Speaker 1: learn so you won't make these same mistakes again. You
- 55:51Speaker 1: weren't getting anything. You weren't moving toward a commitment from him.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Uh So you know, I just don't. I mean, you know,
- 56:02Speaker 1: how did you play a part in this? I guess
- 56:04Speaker 1: is what I'm trying to say. You played a part
- 56:07Speaker 1: in this because you allowed this to go on like this.
- 56:09Speaker 1: You're just dating a man and living with him for
- 56:13Speaker 1: four years. You were hoping for something more, but you
- 56:16Speaker 1: didn't get that. You wanted to marry him. You know,
- 56:18Speaker 1: you guys never disgusted only when he brought it up.
- 56:22Speaker 1: What about what you wanted? And what about you know,
- 56:26Speaker 1: what he thought about what you wanted? You could have
- 56:29Speaker 1: found these things out a little earlier in the relationship
- 56:32Speaker 1: if you just, you know, done some digging like you
- 56:35Speaker 1: did when you were trying to find out if he
- 56:36Speaker 1: was sneaking around cheating on you. So I guess what
- 56:39Speaker 1: I'm saying is let this be a lesson. I think
- 56:42Speaker 1: you should let this one go. Hopefully you have since
- 56:45Speaker 1: you moved out and everything. But next time, you know,
- 56:48Speaker 1: you have a right to speak your mind and let
- 56:51Speaker 1: them know what you want and like Steve says in
- 56:54Speaker 1: his book Act like a lady, Think like a man.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Makes some standards and requirements so you won't end up
- 57:00Speaker 1: in the same position giving four years of your life
- 57:03Speaker 1: to a relationship that really is going nowhere and you're
- 57:06Speaker 1: not getting what you want, but they get everything they want.
- 57:09Speaker 1: So learn from this and move on. Steve subject you're
- 57:14Speaker 1: single unless you're married. That's complete and utter bull Every
- 57:19Speaker 1: adult knows that if you're not married, you can be
- 57:24Speaker 1: in a relationship. You're not single, y'all live together. Single
- 57:30Speaker 1: people can do single things. The problem you have is
- 57:34Speaker 1: when you're not single, but you're performing as though you
- 57:38Speaker 1: are single. If you're in a committed relationship, living with
- 57:41Speaker 1: a person is a committed relationship. Marriage is a committed,
- 57:46Speaker 1: committed relationship. So y'all in a relationship, he ain't single.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I'm a thirty six year old. I've been in a
- 57:54Speaker 1: great relationship for four years. Boy, it is when went
- 57:57Speaker 1: down here pretty fast, though, been a year ago. Changing
- 58:02Speaker 1: your man's sex life. If I initiated sex, he made
- 58:06Speaker 1: up excuses like he had acid reflex and he scared
- 58:10Speaker 1: sex might give him a heart attack. Wow, this is
- 58:15Speaker 1: called pre existing conditions. Who let's acid reflex stopped them
- 58:23Speaker 1: from having sex. I don't know, I've vomited and won't
- 58:28Speaker 1: it six? Oh good Cross, I've had diar real sex
- 58:38Speaker 1: on that night. On that note, we'll have part two
- 58:43Speaker 1: of your response, sir, get yourself together coming up in
- 58:46Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 58:51Speaker 1: you're single unless you're married. We'll get back into it
- 58:54Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to all right, Steve, come on,
- 59:00Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry Letters subject your single until you're married. Well, okay,
- 59:09Speaker 1: that's how you want to go with it, but I
- 59:11Speaker 1: think it's bogus the way he played this woman year
- 59:14Speaker 1: agold had a wonderful relationship. She thirty six that sex
- 59:18Speaker 1: in the chap had a change in a sex life
- 59:21Speaker 1: if she initiated sex. The dude made up excuse like
- 59:24Speaker 1: he had acid reflux and he was scared that sex
- 59:28Speaker 1: might give him a heart attack. You thirty six, First
- 59:30Speaker 1: of all, how old is he? Because if he's the
- 59:33Speaker 1: same age as you, he in bad shape. He's scared
- 59:36Speaker 1: sex gonna give him a heart attack. I have had
- 59:39Speaker 1: sex to try to have a heart attack. Prince wrote
- 59:45Speaker 1: a song that says, when we make love crazy in love,
- 59:55Speaker 1: having a hundred million to h a tax. Damn you,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: that was a song. When we make love is like
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: having a hundred million little heart attacks. That's a song
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you make love to have a heart attack. Now he
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: don't want to have set because he's scared attack my heart.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: This is not about you, sir. No, I'm telling you
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: how wrong this dude is. All right. Then you saw
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: a phone attack on the phone say I love you too.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Then you confronted the man about it, and he said
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: it ain't no big deal. He was giving her some
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: romantic advice, which he was. But the thing of it
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: is is you told him if he continued to see
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: a message like that, that she was gonna need some
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: advice too, all right. So he changed the password, he
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: put his finger on and everything right now. So now
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: she got creative and went through his messages and found
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: out on social media that he had advice to her
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: was to leave her man and be with him. And
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you find out he induced her to his mother as
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: his future wife. That broke her hard. Then you wrote
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: him a note. You told him that you be at
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: your sister's house while while you figured this out. Then
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: he did it hit the whole crux of the whole letter.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Right here. He called you said he loves you, but
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: he's not in love with you. You need to be
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: in love to marry somebody, and everybody on this show
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: could tell you that you got to be in love.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Both show definitely you got to get to marry somebody.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: So that that's a bummer right there. He also said
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: he's not in love with the new girl, but he's
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: very close to it. Did you not get a text
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: that said I love you too? That's right, that's right.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: It was in the tax So now he just trying
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: to let you down soft. But then here he goes
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: he apologized to you and said you got every right
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: to be hurt, but I shouldn't be upset. See this,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: this dude right here, he know how to draw the
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: difference between upset and hurt, Like them two ain't the
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: same damn thing. Whatever. Right, you got every right to
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: be hurt, but you shouldn't be upset because we were
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: just dating, not married for four years. Fool. We lived
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: in your house, right, this ain't dating. We live together.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: In some states that's called common and law. So technically
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: he's singling, So am I Why did he stay with
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: me four years and use me until something better came along?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: First of all sins to stop beating yourself up. You
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: don't know the something the better has come along. That's true.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: You don't know that. Let me tell you something else
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I want you to do. We had talked about marriage,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: and I guess he had other plans. I was blindsided.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I feel like a fool. I'm moving out of his house,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: in his life. Where did I go wrong? You didn't
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: go wrong? Nowhere, You didn't go wrong. See that's what
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: happens to a lot of ladies or dude becomes an
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: a hole and then all of a sudden you take
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the blame and where it like you did something. You
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: got a man that the lied. We wasn't we wasn't
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: we were single? Food, she lived in your house. You
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: find a message that say I love you too. He
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: tell you he ain't in love with her, but he closed.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: How the heir? Are you close in love? What is there?
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: What is that? I'm not in love with her, but
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I'm close kinda? There ain't no songs about now. It's
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: songs that say I believe, I believe, I believe I'm
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: falling in love. That's a song, but the key word
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: he said, I believe I'm falling in love. Did the
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Ain't no song out there going stay with me. I'm
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: almost there. I'm almost in love with you. Ain't come
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: on now, stay with me. I'm almost there. I'm almost
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: in love with you, almost almost damn near. Dare kind
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: of kind, but I don't know when. Hon't wait a
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: while alone, I'm almost in love. Moost your comments Today's

- 1:06:25Speaker 1: just saying. He asked me for some stuff, and I
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: just wanted to let him know this. Now, the name

- 1:07:11Speaker 1: say no before you even start. I'm just hum That's
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: all I can do. That was called the style conversation.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: That's what you're doing. You're sitting there looking for rhymes.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: That's no rhymes, and it ain't got to be. It
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: was that called you don't you have different styles? This

- 1:08:34Speaker 1: and that is sandwiches. Sandwiches are delicious, right. Everybody loves
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: a great sandwich. Right, but still there's plenty of room
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: for healthy debate and disagreement about what's the best sandwich. Okay,

- 1:12:55Speaker 1: All right, we got more, more sandwiches, more Steve Harvey
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: morning shows coming up right after this. We'll be back
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: at twenty after you're listening to the String show. So
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: listen to this story, guys. A Meath manufacturing company experienced
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: a glitch in its payroll recently and accidentally paid a
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: worker three hundred times his salary, and now they can't
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: seem to find the guy. The worker expected his usual
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: monthly check of five hundred and forty five dollars, but
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: instead received a check for more than one hundred and
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: eighty thousand dollars. Now when he noticed, yeah, when he
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: noticed the mistake, he alerted his manager, who told him
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: to go to his bank and repay the money, but
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: he never did and the company can't find him. They
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: tried to reach him for several days and eventually received
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: a letter from his attorney informing them of his resignation.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: He hasn't been heard from since. The company has filed
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: a complaint with the least, but no arrest has been made.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: So the question to you, guys is what would you
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: do in this situation if you got paid three hundred
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: times your salary? Oh, I'm out. I'm telling you. I
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: will die in front of you right there. You would
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: think I'm gone, flat out, roll me out the dough.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Pardon I'm gone, Junior. I call in him. I will
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: call see how y'all doing? How do I want to
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: show doing? Not coming back? Boy? Y'all? Stay boy? Three
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: hundred times you'll pay? All right, We'll have more, thanks, guys,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: We'll do a round of would you rather? At thirty
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Right after this you're listening
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: to the String Show? All right, guys, time now for
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: would you rather? Would you rather be you stuck on
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: an island for eternity all on your own, all on
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: your own, or would you rather be stuck on an
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: island for eternity with someone you hate? M Oh yeah,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: give me b I'm gonna go with B because me
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: and me and me and him gonna have to work
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: through somethings so we can survive this thing. Yeah, that's
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: about to talk to I hope it's a me and huh. Yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: really work it out, b Be for me, I'm gonna
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: drive myself crazy about my damns. Now I got to be.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I'm on an island now, tal me with all those
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: people in your head, man, plead, I got to I
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: got to do be. I got to have somebody. I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: can talk to you, even we don't like you till
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I got to have somebody, all right. Take it back
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: to your school days. Would you rather be prim king
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: or valedictorian? Oh, prim king? Whatever? I feel to be Victoria.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: That would have ruined my whole high school experience. All
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: that study and this stuff, well you know the stuff
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: I'd have missed trying to get this A on this test.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I don't give a damn by no A on no tests, man,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: I gotta get out here learn these social skills all a's. Yeah,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: do you know what that would have took out of me? Man?
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: In order for me to get all a's in high school,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: I'd have had to sell my bike. I'd have had
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: to withdrawal from all extra curriculum axctivities. I'd have to
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: stop playing sports. I'd have to what else I gotta give.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: I couldn't have no girlfriend. I didn't have a whole
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: lot of success then, but most of my time with
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: women was spit trying. Yea, the success ratio that wasn't
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: high at all, but the effort I had to put
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: in just to talk to one junior started on, Yeah,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: it's problem season right now? Yeah? I was. I was.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: That's a touch of subject. I was a runner up front.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I didn't win. I couldn't get black vote back then
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: you lost, Tommy, I lost lost. They wasn't voting. Yeah,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: but you went to school. But but see Timmy, you
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: he was after me using school white kids. Yeah, but
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: but but I couldn't get the black kids to vote.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: That was my proper so looking change, we're voting now,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: We're voting now, we are voting now? All right, um,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: all right, well, thank you guys. That's today's round of
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: would you rather? Coming up at forty nine minutes after
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: it's the last break of the day, and we'll have
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: some closing remarks for you right after this. You're listening,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Here we are, last break of the day. Wow,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: what a week it's been. Huh. So you have some
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: closing remarks for Steve. Oh, I got you, okay. In
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: light of encouraging people and getting people to understand the
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: process that we are all involved in when it comes
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: to finding our success in our happiness, we are all
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: in the process. And you know, one of the things
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: when you're trying to become happy, or you're you're seeking
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: out your success, your position in life, what you're gonna do,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: how you're gonna get it done. Maybe you start a business,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: maybe trying to get a promotion, maybe trying to finish school,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: whatever it is, you're gonna run an to some things.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: That is just life. You are not the only one.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: But when you get hit with one of them hardness,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: one that kind of slows your roll a little bit,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: and we all have them, one that kind of knocks
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you down and you didn't see it coming. I mean, man,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: it's life is difficult, man, it really really is. And
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: all of us have to face some of these challenges
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: that are so heavy that it feels like it knocks
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: us out to game. And you can be thrown for
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: a moment. Don't get me wrong, it's human nature. You
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: can get tossed up pretty bad where you feel like
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: giving up. You can you can get tossed up pretty
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: bad where you feel like, well this is the end.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: But when you get knocked down, when you get ran over,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: when you get push when you're exhausted, you gotta get
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: back in the game. You have to get back in
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: the game. It's still no excuse for not getting back
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: in the game. Because life is ten percent what happens
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: to you. It's what you do about it. Everybody has hardships,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: everybody has challenge moments. Everybody gets knocked down, everybody get
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: ran over, everybody get blindside it. But you have got
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: to get back in the game. You don't have the time.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: Time is too precious for you to just sit on
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: the sideline on the bench, not playing anymore. You can't
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: do that. God is your coach, and with God all
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: things are possible. I want to ask you something when
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: God is doing what he does, when he's in the background,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: moving on your behalf, when he's back there working out
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: things that you don't know that's working on, when he
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: is working on your behalf just because he knows you've
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: been asking him to, if he'd been secretly working on
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: your behalf because you his child, because you honor him,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: love him, in respect him. If he's in the background
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: working on your behalf. Wouldn't you like to be on
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: the field for the end of the game. Wouldn't you
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: like to be on the field when the results come
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: in when God get through doing what he doing. Wouldn't
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: you love to be there when He puts his stamp
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: of approval on it. Wouldn't you like to be on
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: the field in the game when the package that you've
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: been praying for finally arrives. Wouldn't you like to be
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: in the field in the game when He finally answered
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: that prayer. Wouldn't you like to be there standing on
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the field when it all turns around and all your
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: haters got to sit there and become your footstools. Wouldn't
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: you like to be on the field for that? I
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: know I would. I want to be on the field.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: When God starts passing out victories, I want to take
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: a victory left. When God starts blessing you when everybody
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: said was over. I love it when God proved people wrong.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I absolutely love it. I love it when God say
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: there's nothing you can do to my child that he
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: can't handle. And when you get through starting these fires
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: around him, when you get through messing with him, look
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: at him. He gonna be stronger and bigger and brighter
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: and better than ever when you was laughing at him,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: when you thought he folded and I came to his rescue.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: Who laughing. Now all the people in the stands will
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: see it. You won't have to shove it in nobody's face.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: Oh they're gonna see it. They're gonna be sicker, they're
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: gonna try something else. But at the end of the day,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: I want to be on the field when it's over,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: when God comes through, when he show up like he
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: always does. I don't care if it's the last second
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: field goal, as long as I win the game. What
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: difference doing me. I got hurt while I was playing,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: but I want I'll take that. God got a great
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: life for you. But you got to stay in the
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: game to get it. God got a great life for you,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: but you gotta get up when you get ran over.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: God got a great life for you, but you gotta
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: hang on when you feel like sitting down. God got
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: a great life for you, but you will never know
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: how great it is until you get the end results.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: You'll never know how great it is until you hanging
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: out and see what God finally had worked out for you.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: Stay on the field, get back in the game. It's critical.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: It's critical. I want to be on the field when
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: they're doing the victory lab. Those are my closing remarks. Wow,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: drop that mic baby, drop it. Yeah, y'all have a
