- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 1: here we go today, folks. This is a good one
- 2:16Speaker 1: because today I want to share with you something that
- 2:21Speaker 1: affects every living soul, and that one thing is your attitude.
- 2:28Speaker 1: This affects everyone. It is your attitude. You know. I
- 2:36Speaker 1: don't know if anyone's ever told you, but I mean
- 2:39Speaker 1: many of you who listen know this. But there are
- 2:43Speaker 1: a lot of people who don't understand a positive attitude
- 2:49Speaker 1: can bring about a change. A positive attitude can bring
- 2:54Speaker 1: about a change. Well, now here we go with the
- 2:56Speaker 1: nay says well, Steve, what you mean if I'm just
- 2:58Speaker 1: positive being changed? My mama gone, what me being positive
- 3:02Speaker 1: got to do with that? Okay, Now listen to me carefully.
- 3:05Speaker 1: A positive attitude can bring about change. Well, okay, Steve,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I hear you saying that, But they didn't fired me.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So now what does my having a positive attitude have
- 3:16Speaker 1: to do with the fact that they fired me? Well,
- 3:21Speaker 1: one more time. A positive attitude can bring about change.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Or Steve, I set up in here and gave eight nine,
- 3:32Speaker 1: twelve years of my life to this man and he
- 3:35Speaker 1: just he cheated on me and walked out. Now what
- 3:37Speaker 1: does me being positive have to do with him cheating
- 3:41Speaker 1: on me? How that's gonna change that? Okay, here we
- 3:45Speaker 1: go again. A positive attitude can bring about change. Now
- 3:50Speaker 1: listen to the whole thing. Now, the positive attitude and
- 3:55Speaker 1: the change that can happen starts just to start. It
- 4:01Speaker 1: starts within you. See, life is ten percent. What happens
- 4:08Speaker 1: is what you do about what happens. Okay, you gave
- 4:12Speaker 1: twelve years of your life to this man. He cheated
- 4:14Speaker 1: and left you hold in the bag, the kids and everything.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Now what does being positive have to do with changing that?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Or they came in and they fired you. You lost
- 4:23Speaker 1: your job that you was a stellar performer at but now,
- 4:27Speaker 1: how does you having a positive attitude, How does that
- 4:30Speaker 1: change things for you? So far, you can use any example.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Here's what happens when you have a positive attitude. What
- 4:41Speaker 1: it produces within you is a positive approach to life.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And when you have a positive attitude and a positive
- 4:48Speaker 1: approach to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to
- 4:54Speaker 1: have a positive out look, to expect things to eat
- 5:00Speaker 1: virtually turn around, and and and and turn into a
- 5:03Speaker 1: positive That's very important because as the law of attraction
- 5:07Speaker 1: comes into play, if you think positive thoughts, you attract
- 5:12Speaker 1: positive things. If you think evil thoughts, you attract evil
- 5:18Speaker 1: to you. You know, if you want for nothing, then
- 5:22Speaker 1: nothing comes your way. If you want for a positive attitude,
- 5:26Speaker 1: if you want for positive results, if you want for
- 5:28Speaker 1: a great outcome, that's what you attract to you. The
- 5:31Speaker 1: change will begin within you. So let's take the man
- 5:35Speaker 1: that walked out your life and left you hold in
- 5:37Speaker 1: the bag. Here's a positive attitude. Okay, two things have
- 5:42Speaker 1: happened as positive here. Number one, you've ridded yourself of
- 5:46Speaker 1: someone who is obviously going to be, if not already been,
- 5:51Speaker 1: toxic in your life, cause you many restless nights, A
- 5:55Speaker 1: lot of uncomfortable feelings, an uneasiness, not sure security. You've
- 6:01Speaker 1: been going through it with this person, whoever they are.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Number One, that person has been released from your life.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Number Two, it allows you now to have the someone
- 6:12Speaker 1: who will treat you just the way you want to
- 6:14Speaker 1: be treated. That's the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way.
- 6:18Speaker 1: That's when you're a positive person. You see the positive
- 6:22Speaker 1: in things that happen to you, instead of burying yourself
- 6:25Speaker 1: under the what's wrong with it? A old woe is me? Now?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Concept see a positive attitude. When they came in there
- 6:32Speaker 1: and they fired you and let you go, could this
- 6:35Speaker 1: not have been just the opening you needed to finally
- 6:40Speaker 1: start on a new career path that you've been talking
- 6:43Speaker 1: about doing anyway? Could it possibly be a brand new
- 6:47Speaker 1: chance for you to get the dream job or dream
- 6:51Speaker 1: career of your choice. Could it not possibly be the
- 6:55Speaker 1: perfect opportunity now for you to finally finally do something
- 7:00Speaker 1: about that gift, about that talent that God gave you,
- 7:04Speaker 1: that thing that you love to do. Could it not
- 7:06Speaker 1: be the perfect time for you to pursue that? But
- 7:08Speaker 1: if you don't have a positive attitude, then you lay there. Oh,
- 7:13Speaker 1: they finned. Come getting my house? Oh what I'm gonna
- 7:16Speaker 1: do now? All this unemployment ain't enough. Oh Lord, when
- 7:20Speaker 1: this unemployment run out, what am I gonna do? Then
- 7:23Speaker 1: I won't have nothing? And you old woe is me
- 7:26Speaker 1: until you become old woe is me. But if you
- 7:30Speaker 1: take it from the positive approach, some amazing things can
- 7:34Speaker 1: happen in your life. I will tell you on a
- 7:36Speaker 1: personal note, that's some of the most some of the
- 7:40Speaker 1: best changes. Some of the biggest moments in my life
- 7:43Speaker 1: came after a loss. So I don't want to go
- 7:46Speaker 1: down on the list, but boy, I could tell you.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Let me. Let me tell you something. When they didn't
- 7:50Speaker 1: want me on the radio anymore in La, when they
- 7:53Speaker 1: didn't know when they went it was sick of the
- 7:55Speaker 1: way I did radio out there, and they wanted me gone.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And on twenty third, two thousand and five, when I
- 8:04Speaker 1: did When When? When my deal was done? With the
- 8:09Speaker 1: beat out in La? Okay, look what happened though, y'all
- 8:15Speaker 1: was gone in May. But in September nineteenth I started
- 8:18Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Radio Network with four cities. You see.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But I didn't go old woe is me? I said, Oh, okay,
- 8:28Speaker 1: God must have something else from it then, because if
- 8:30Speaker 1: he didn't remove me from this, that must be something else.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Same thing can happened when you lose and you and
- 8:36Speaker 1: you and you break up in a relationship. Same thing
- 8:38Speaker 1: can happen to you. You never know the one God
- 8:41Speaker 1: God for you that here you go, here you go again.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Now you get put into a situation with somebody, treat
- 8:46Speaker 1: you just the way you want to be treated, provide
- 8:49Speaker 1: you the whole lot of aspects of your life you
- 8:51Speaker 1: knew nothing about prior to that. But you gotta stay positive.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If you stay positive, that positive attitude, that optimistic outlook,
- 9:00Speaker 1: that that that always thinking God got me no matter
- 9:03Speaker 1: what happened to me, some amazing things that's going can
- 9:07Speaker 1: will happen in your life. It's a fact. I don't
- 9:10Speaker 1: know how it works that way. I just know that's
- 9:12Speaker 1: what it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all. So get
- 9:16Speaker 1: off the old woe is Me negativity train because it
- 9:18Speaker 1: ain't gonna take you nowhere but down and get get
- 9:21Speaker 1: your outlook up. If you change your attitude, you change
- 9:24Speaker 1: your altitude. Altitude is determined by your attitude, how high
- 9:30Speaker 1: you go, how big you become, how far you go.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It all depends on how you think. It all depends
- 9:36Speaker 1: on what type of attitude you got. Ain't no, ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: no very very successful, super negative people. It just doesn't
- 9:45Speaker 1: coincide that way. If you see that something that happened
- 9:47Speaker 1: to them along the way, and don't wear you ain't
- 9:49Speaker 1: gonna wearr about it because you ain't gonna see them long,
- 9:51Speaker 1: because you can't stay up there like that. It's just
- 9:54Speaker 1: too hard. All right, that's the conversation, hardy morning show
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, let me have it your undivided attention
- 10:05Speaker 1: on this morning. Right here, Steve Harbor will be doing
- 10:08Speaker 1: the entire show as the truth teller. Every single word
- 10:14Speaker 1: out of my mouth, I will attempt to make it
- 10:17Speaker 1: the absolute truth. Whatever you ask me, whatever statement I
- 10:22Speaker 1: make will be the truth. A statement that you can't
- 10:27Speaker 1: even argue with, I would be only stating truth. In fact,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna try, but sometimes every nine then that ignorant
- 10:34Speaker 1: side of me slides in. I'm gonna try to keep
- 10:37Speaker 1: him at bay today. Since we are at full staff.
- 10:41Speaker 1: We have three other fools here. Food one, which is Timmy,
- 10:45Speaker 1: Food two is Jay, and food three is Junior. The
- 10:50Speaker 1: bigger food. Food proven to be a head and fool,
- 10:57Speaker 1: head and shoulders above the rest of the only time
- 10:59Speaker 1: he's taught it's when we announce true statement that what
- 11:04Speaker 1: I tell you I was gonna do. Lady and Jaima,
- 11:06Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry, Hey, good morning, Steve, Happy Friday, Colin Farrell,
- 11:12Speaker 1: never mad on a Friday. What's up crew? That damn
- 11:16Speaker 1: junior boy morning, everybody in the building. My longtime friend
- 11:23Speaker 1: Jay Anfony. I'm sticking in the race to the end.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm not dropping out. I will not Bernie Sanders and
- 11:35Speaker 1: number one times in the building, in the building Friday
- 11:40Speaker 1: of Steve. Let's get it, let's get it, get it
- 11:42Speaker 1: all right. Here's my first truthful statement. Did I not
- 11:46Speaker 1: say from the very beginning? You did? Did I not
- 11:51Speaker 1: name everyone that would be dropping out of this race?
- 11:56Speaker 1: You did? Said it? I hold you who was not
- 12:02Speaker 1: going to be accepted as the Democratic nod for the president.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I just want to make that absolutely clear. Let's go
- 12:10Speaker 1: with the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Joe Biden. Joe Biden
- 12:21Speaker 1: will now be the Democratic presidential candidate to go against Trump.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And if Joe Biden wants to really really put a
- 12:32Speaker 1: nail in the coffin. He should go out of the
- 12:35Speaker 1: box and select Mike Bloomberg as his running mate. And
- 12:40Speaker 1: you say that, why Steve, Because he got the money
- 12:43Speaker 1: and he knows where all the bodies is buried. He's
- 12:46Speaker 1: the one person that can talk to Trump crazy. And
- 12:51Speaker 1: Trump is actually scared of him. Trump is actually afraid
- 12:55Speaker 1: of him because he knows Mike al real billionaire and
- 12:57Speaker 1: he ain't. And Mike gonna tell how he is to
- 13:00Speaker 1: be of the money and everything. Yeah, I think he
- 13:02Speaker 1: needs to be the lady. It would be great a female,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I believe whole hell. I thought I thought Hillary Clinton
- 13:09Speaker 1: could run the country. She had the most votes, she
- 13:13Speaker 1: won the popular vote for but we got pimped yep ye.
- 13:17Speaker 1: So so ain't on time for games. Just the real estate.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Mike Bloomberg and Nan coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:25Speaker 1: after the hour. Flavor Flame, we told you about this
- 13:28Speaker 1: earlier this week. He got fired from Public Enemy and uh,
- 13:34Speaker 1: Steve and Jay, Tommy and Junior are gonna tell you
- 13:39Speaker 1: how you know you've been fired right after this you're
- 13:43Speaker 1: listening to show all right, Flavor flav got fired from
- 13:48Speaker 1: Public Enemy earlier in the week, So Steve, you guys
- 13:52Speaker 1: are here. You gotta tell us. You have some ways
- 13:56Speaker 1: to know if you've been fired. Right, I think if
- 13:59Speaker 1: you pull up in the parking lot in your pocket
- 14:03Speaker 1: space has a trash dumpster in it, I think your
- 14:08Speaker 1: ass is about out. Okay, that's a real good one. Yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 1: I think. I think if you go to work and
- 14:15Speaker 1: everybody asks you, man, will what you're doing here? Your
- 14:19Speaker 1: ass has been fired? What you're doing? Yeah, y'all? What
- 14:27Speaker 1: what what are you? Why are you? Yeah? I think
- 14:32Speaker 1: you know you've been five When your key card you
- 14:34Speaker 1: swipe it ten times and you still ain't getting ten.
- 14:39Speaker 1: You think it's now you've been fired. When when everybody
- 14:44Speaker 1: passing by the dough and looking at you and won't
- 14:47Speaker 1: open it, but they're looking at you through the dough.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Rob Robber, don't work him, No, he said, don't open
- 14:55Speaker 1: that door for robber. You know you've been fi right,
- 15:00Speaker 1: is when you get to work people been walking by
- 15:02Speaker 1: just picking stuff out your cubicle. I want to get
- 15:09Speaker 1: that paper car, this smight plant for the longest, right,
- 15:14Speaker 1: all right? You know you know you've been fired when
- 15:18Speaker 1: your last yet is pink. Your people take the utility bill.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Utility bill. When you know you've been fired when you
- 15:34Speaker 1: get an email and they're trying to tell you about
- 15:36Speaker 1: coming to business, but at the end they say, oh,
- 15:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry. You know you've been fired when your work
- 15:46Speaker 1: wife say that's not gonna work. That's just not gonna
- 15:52Speaker 1: that's not gonna work. Just how you know you've been fired.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You walk in and working their standing around talking, and
- 16:01Speaker 1: when you walk up, everybody get quiet, church quiet. Hey,
- 16:10Speaker 1: what y'all talking about? Just start dispersing. Now you know
- 16:18Speaker 1: you've been fired when you actually get in the building.
- 16:21Speaker 1: If you looked up and get in the building and
- 16:24Speaker 1: don't nobody, I mean nobody make eye contact with your behind.
- 16:29Speaker 1: That not everybody looking down. That's a good one. Yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 1: you know you've been fired when the person you didn't
- 16:39Speaker 1: like that work come up to you and say you
- 16:42Speaker 1: ain't gonna believe it's gonna have him to day now
- 16:46Speaker 1: the heads up. Yeah, you're right, you ain't gonna believe this.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You know you've been fired when you walk into doing security,
- 16:52Speaker 1: start getting on they walk, you're talking, he's here. When
- 16:57Speaker 1: when they're tolking in their shoulder, when they're toling their shoulder, Yeah, yeah,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I'll teach the subject in progress. I do you know
- 17:09Speaker 1: you've been fired when you're driving in the work and
- 17:11Speaker 1: your best friend call you on your cell phone and say, dog,
- 17:15Speaker 1: turn around, go back, y'all. I ain't got time to
- 17:21Speaker 1: get into it right now. But don't come in hereund no, no,
- 17:25Speaker 1: you're just turned around, dog don't I don't know. I
- 17:27Speaker 1: don't know. I'm just your boy. Don't come I don't know.
- 17:34Speaker 1: You know you have been fired, dio lopper. And there's
- 17:38Speaker 1: a name that it says glattys, but that ain't your name.
- 17:44Speaker 1: You've been replaced. Wow, you guys, I'll tell you you know.
- 17:53Speaker 1: You know you've been fired when you go in the
- 17:54Speaker 1: cafetia and the lady who served the mashed potatoes throw
- 17:57Speaker 1: her damn scooped down. I can't believe he walked. You've
- 18:05Speaker 1: been five when you see a bunch of boxes in
- 18:07Speaker 1: your cubicle sitting there waiting. That's that's for you to
- 18:10Speaker 1: pack up. That's what that's fun. Yeah, yeah, you've been five. Yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 1: just take the heads off. Yeah yeah, yeah, So I
- 18:22Speaker 1: got last one for me. When everybody at your job
- 18:27Speaker 1: that don't like you has put all their names into
- 18:31Speaker 1: a hat and they pull it names to see. Who's
- 18:34Speaker 1: gonna be too able to tell you when you come in.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I show hope it's that's the same. Please they I
- 18:47Speaker 1: got it, I got it, I got it, Terrell, Terrell, Terrell,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I got it, I got it. Terrell. Over here, your
- 18:54Speaker 1: ass is fired fire Terrel, Bye bye. Los Yob said
- 19:08Speaker 1: that d confirmed, though he don't listen to me. Public
- 19:15Speaker 1: Enemy has gone on without Flavor Flame. You cannot go
- 19:19Speaker 1: on without Chuck. But hello, well that's not according to
- 19:27Speaker 1: Flavor Flame. He thinks he's just as important down that clock.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I do that. Now they're gonna replace him, Jay, They're
- 19:39Speaker 1: gonna replace him. They're gonna replace him down with a
- 19:42Speaker 1: real roach. No he look and look, I'm not a
- 19:48Speaker 1: hip hop expert. I happen to like Flavor, but I
- 19:52Speaker 1: don't know this. Y'all can correct me if I'm wrong,
- 19:54Speaker 1: because once again, I'm not the hip hop authority on
- 19:56Speaker 1: this show. By any stretching, imagine it. I don't think
- 20:00Speaker 1: he had enough important lines in any of the songs.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yeah boy, yeah, I think we can get a lot
- 20:08Speaker 1: of people to do that time. It just sound just
- 20:10Speaker 1: like it just now. I think at of dogs get
- 20:16Speaker 1: people with the clock on it because it's just a clock. Yeah,
- 20:21Speaker 1: it's just a clock. I think I like he just
- 20:29Speaker 1: ain't like them together, but he he gotta be about
- 20:33Speaker 1: the business. And at this age, why would you not
- 20:36Speaker 1: be about the business? Ain't not ain't like everybody call it.
- 20:44Speaker 1: We gotta move on. Coming up next, nephew in the
- 20:48Speaker 1: building would run that brank back right after this, you're
- 20:51Speaker 1: listening to show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Entertainment news, Meg the Stallion UH will be allowed to
- 21:00Speaker 1: release her new project after all. And in other entertainment news,
- 21:05Speaker 1: Tavis Smiley UH violated a moral's clause of his PBS contract.
- 21:11Speaker 1: H Plus Miss Hannah's standing by with Today's National News.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But right now it is time for the nephew to
- 21:16Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for his nest girls?

- 22:56Speaker 1: came down, man, I finished, I ain't trying to tell
- 22:58Speaker 1: you a little secret or nothing like that. I ain't

- 26:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill him, damn so oh god, who listen?
- 26:50Speaker 1: So listen, Adrian. We have beat. We have beat all
- 26:52Speaker 1: the names, so nobody knows the things at all. Okay,

- 27:21Speaker 1: got me on this. Tell me this man, one more
- 27:24Speaker 1: thing before you go. What's the badest, and I mean
- 27:27Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land, the Steve Harvard
- 27:31Speaker 1: Morton hill Man, which is why he got played every morning.
- 27:35Speaker 1: God kill me, bro and you have it. You're laughing now.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Funny now, yeah, you're laughing now. It's funny. Now played too, mind.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Somebody gotta do it. Yes, I choked, stupid, that's the
- 27:58Speaker 1: route I choked. Dontan, Alabama. Baby Tomorrow night is me
- 28:02Speaker 1: and you. Let's get it. Let's get it. Let's get
- 28:04Speaker 1: it at the Civic Center, ticket Master, all outlets wherever
- 28:07Speaker 1: you get them, get them, because the nephew was coming down.
- 28:09Speaker 1: All right, that's right, that's right, JJ on the bill
- 28:11Speaker 1: with me. Funny is all get out, y'all make show, y'all,
- 28:14Speaker 1: get y'all tickets. It is in Dalton, Alabama. Laying in
- 28:17Speaker 1: the cut on the fourteenth is Montgomery, Alabama. The gull
- 28:22Speaker 1: the nephew is coming through there and laying in the cut.
- 28:25Speaker 1: April Fools Night with Wednesday night, that is Allington, embrod
- 28:28Speaker 1: right there, fool, fool, fool, April Fool with a lot
- 28:32Speaker 1: of fools on the Fool Show, and the leading fool
- 28:35Speaker 1: is hosting the rest of the Food Boy, that's a
- 28:38Speaker 1: lot of fooler they're going on. You understand that, foolish
- 28:40Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Coming up in the top of
- 28:46Speaker 1: the hour Entertainment of National News right after this. You're
- 28:50Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Tomorrow is International Women's Day
- 28:57Speaker 1: and we definitely want to shout out pop star Mega Stallion. Okay,
- 29:02Speaker 1: Megan is having contract disputes with her record label fifteen
- 29:05Speaker 1: oh one and the executive former baseball player Carl Crawford,
- 29:09Speaker 1: former Rep rap A Lot CEO J Prince. It seems
- 29:13Speaker 1: like the label was trying to block Megan from releasing
- 29:16Speaker 1: her new music as part of a Rock Nation deal. Well,
- 29:20Speaker 1: yesterday a judge ruled in favor of Mega Stallion and
- 29:24Speaker 1: rejected the labels retain restraining order against her releasing her
- 29:28Speaker 1: new music. And now Megan can drop her new music.
- 29:31Speaker 1: It's called Sugar. Lookout for it today. Thank girl. Power girl. Yes, yeah,
- 29:40Speaker 1: she accused him of bullying her and all kinds of stuff,
- 29:44Speaker 1: So I'm glad she won in court. She said all
- 29:46Speaker 1: she wanted to do, was, you know, just renegotiate her contract.
- 29:51Speaker 1: She said it was a bad contract. Yeah, so many
- 29:55Speaker 1: young people messed up with the first contract. It was
- 29:59Speaker 1: usually bad and when they hit they got them to
- 30:01Speaker 1: these unrealistic terms. And of course a kid when they
- 30:04Speaker 1: first get out there, they just want to be home. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 1: you know, so you end up signing stuff that you
- 30:09Speaker 1: don't really haven't even seen the light of day on.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And then these record labels try to be gangsters about it.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I'm glad, I'm glad she did it. Oh yeah, me too, Yeah, yep,
- 30:20Speaker 1: yeaphum and other entertainment news. Steven Jury has found that
- 30:25Speaker 1: a former PBS host, Tavis Smiley, violated the morals clause
- 30:29Speaker 1: clause of his contract by having affairs with multiple subordinates.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Uh there. He will have to pay PBS one and
- 30:36Speaker 1: a half million dollars. God yeah man, yeah yeah. Now,
- 30:42Speaker 1: if you recall a few years back, Tavis was on
- 30:44Speaker 1: Good Morning America defending his conduct and said he never
- 30:47Speaker 1: showed favoritism upward or downward. So wow, tough break for him.
- 30:53Speaker 1: And yeah, that's a lot of money. You're hitting it
- 30:57Speaker 1: on the job. Yeah, you was going up been done
- 31:00Speaker 1: on the job. That's the problem right there. Huh. Multiple
- 31:06Speaker 1: affairs with multiple subordinates. Yeah, I guess he's trying to
- 31:10Speaker 1: say he didn't promote anybody or demote anybody, you know,
- 31:14Speaker 1: because of that. But come on now, yeah, but he
- 31:18Speaker 1: shouldn't have been doing it. And come on now, come on, Tavis.
- 31:26Speaker 1: That is why we're in here. Come on, that's what
- 31:29Speaker 1: they say. Yeah, quit playing now, go get the money, Tavis.
- 31:38Speaker 1: That's a lot to old somebody. Yes, well, your former employer.
- 31:42Speaker 1: You know, you have to pay them back for your conduct,
- 31:45Speaker 1: for your behavior and your action when you sue them,
- 31:48Speaker 1: you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a lot. Does he
- 31:54Speaker 1: have that kind of money? I don't know. Here's what
- 31:58Speaker 1: could have happened. It's, uh, well, so you need more
- 32:02Speaker 1: than one point five whatever, forty percent of that is
- 32:06Speaker 1: you got to add that because you have to pay
- 32:09Speaker 1: taxes on the one point five whenever you pay money out,
- 32:13Speaker 1: give money out. They had forty percent at that level
- 32:16Speaker 1: right there. And what probably could have happened This is
- 32:19Speaker 1: just me assuming what might have happened to brother Tavis,
- 32:24Speaker 1: is that PBS probably had to pay out this money.
- 32:29Speaker 1: And now because there was in violation of his conduct,
- 32:32Speaker 1: clause he has to pay PPS back the money and
- 32:37Speaker 1: they had to pay out. Well, maybe cornealer Cornell West
- 32:42Speaker 1: loaning to he's saving money on haircuts. That's for damn sure.
- 32:47Speaker 1: All right, it's time for today's life. Please. No, you're
- 32:54Speaker 1: saving one point five called miss trip. All right, all right,
- 33:01Speaker 1: this is an tripp. And the US Senates joined the
- 33:03Speaker 1: House of Representatives and passing legislation that provides over eight
- 33:07Speaker 1: billion with a B dollars in emergency funding to help
- 33:09Speaker 1: find the spread of coronavirus. The bill now heads to
- 33:12Speaker 1: President Trump, who was expected to sign it. The bipartisan
- 33:15Speaker 1: measure includes more than three billion dollars for research into
- 33:18Speaker 1: a vaccine, more than two billion for preparedness and prevention efforts,
- 33:22Speaker 1: and some other moneys needed. The only lawmaker to vote
- 33:25Speaker 1: against the package was Kentucky GOP Senator Rand Paul. He
- 33:28Speaker 1: wanted the cost of the bill offset by cutting money
- 33:31Speaker 1: from other programs, and the other legislators didn't go for that.
- 33:34Speaker 1: The coronavirus is blamed for these twelve deaths in the US,
- 33:37Speaker 1: all but one in Washington State. There are more than
- 33:40Speaker 1: one hundred Americans though infected. Vice President pens meanwhile says
- 33:43Speaker 1: the US does not have enough coronavirus tests right now
- 33:46Speaker 1: to meet the demand, but Pence is promising that they'll
- 33:49Speaker 1: be in effect in the House. We're in a couple
- 33:52Speaker 1: of weeks or maybe a week. At the same time,
- 33:54Speaker 1: President Trump, with his administration under fire because of the
- 33:57Speaker 1: virus testing kits are not round. He's blaming who else,
- 34:02Speaker 1: former President Obama. According to New York Times, Trump claims
- 34:05Speaker 1: that mister Obama made a decision on testing the turn
- 34:07Speaker 1: out to be very detrimentalist. Is a quote to what
- 34:10Speaker 1: we're doing, and we undid that decision a few days ago. Unquote. Well,
- 34:13Speaker 1: the Time says that health experts and people who served
- 34:15Speaker 1: in the government during the Obama presidency, they don't even
- 34:19Speaker 1: know what rule change he's referring to. What is he
- 34:21Speaker 1: talking about. Critics point out that it was the Trump
- 34:23Speaker 1: administration that dismantled the Obama effort designed to make it
- 34:27Speaker 1: easier to respond to global health emergencies, and that the
- 34:29Speaker 1: officials involved left and were never replaced by the Trump
- 34:33Speaker 1: White House. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren suspended her presidential campaign
- 34:38Speaker 1: after weeks showings in the early primary states and on
- 34:40Speaker 1: Super Tuesday, where she came in third in her own state.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Warren made the announcement outside her home in Cambridge, calling
- 34:46Speaker 1: running for president the honor of a lifetime. She says
- 34:48Speaker 1: she was cautioned at the start though about how things
- 34:51Speaker 1: might turn out, but she said she decided to put
- 34:53Speaker 1: her case before the American people anyway. I was told
- 34:55Speaker 1: at the beginning of this whole undertaking that there are
- 35:00Speaker 1: two lanes, a progressive lane, that Bernie Sanders is the
- 35:04Speaker 1: incumbent four, and a moderate lane, that Joe Biden is
- 35:08Speaker 1: the uncombent four. And there's no room for anyone else
- 35:11Speaker 1: in this I thought that wasn't right, but evidently I
- 35:15Speaker 1: was wrong. Lauren made no endorsement, saying that she needs
- 35:18Speaker 1: time to think about Elizabeth Waaran was the first major
- 35:20Speaker 1: candidate to join the presidential race, and you may remember
- 35:22Speaker 1: before a while she was leading in the polls. Finally,
- 35:25Speaker 1: you want a job, What about space? Yeah, it looks
- 35:29Speaker 1: like NASA is looking for applicants for its Moon program.
- 35:32Speaker 1: The nation's space agency wants to send a man and
- 35:34Speaker 1: woman to the Moon and to Mars by the year
- 35:36Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. Daylight saving time starts on Sunday. You
- 35:39Speaker 1: set your clocks forward an hour. Daylight savings times comes
- 35:42Speaker 1: at the to end to an end rather on November first.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 35:48Speaker 1: to Harvey Morning Show all right time now for our
- 35:52Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer, the CLO, the one and only Steve Harvey. Steve,
- 35:57Speaker 1: you know you get to answer questions from our listeners.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Your chief too. Hey, hey, stay in your I just
- 36:04Speaker 1: stay in your stay in with your pastor stay all
- 36:09Speaker 1: that day. You ain't in this hime. Yeah, before you
- 36:14Speaker 1: get I ain't say nothing, But I'm let me tell
- 36:18Speaker 1: you what your team member said. If you're the chief,
- 36:23Speaker 1: what am I? That's what he asked Steve, and he
- 36:26Speaker 1: gave a listen title. I gave him a whole lot
- 36:29Speaker 1: of stuff. He was, but what he wasn't was Chris.
- 36:35Speaker 1: But Steve, these are from grown women. Okay. These are
- 36:38Speaker 1: from good and grown women who need your advice. This
- 36:41Speaker 1: one's from Sarah out of New Orleans. She says, Steve,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm sixty one, I'm sexy with my Angela Davis Fro.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I'm in love and I can't get enough of my man.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I want him for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Morning, noon,
- 36:55Speaker 1: and night. He's sixty five, and we have such great
- 36:59Speaker 1: Kim Street. There's one problem. He's been married for the
- 37:04Speaker 1: past thirty years. But he says he wants to leave
- 37:07Speaker 1: her for me. I hope he isn't just leading me on.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Should I trust him? Excuse me, lady? Have you not
- 37:15Speaker 1: heard this before? I mean, you're sixty one. You've never
- 37:19Speaker 1: heard of a married man saying he wants to leave her.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Anybody who wants to leave somebody and is really wanting
- 37:29Speaker 1: to go can leave. He's been married for thirty years.
- 37:33Speaker 1: He ain't going nowhere. He's sixty five. Let me tell
- 37:36Speaker 1: you why he can't leave. He can't mess up his pension.
- 37:40Speaker 1: He can't mess up his medicare. Come on, he can't
- 37:43Speaker 1: mess up his insurance. He too close to the tape
- 37:47Speaker 1: to make an idiotic move like this. Too close to
- 37:51Speaker 1: the tape. He damned that album. He didn't live way
- 37:56Speaker 1: motor he got left. Don't talk to it's close to
- 38:00Speaker 1: the damn Take and ask him to make thirty year
- 38:04Speaker 1: old decisions. Yeah, he's on the back nine of golf.
- 38:08Speaker 1: He's on the back back nine. Lady, You got it.
- 38:19Speaker 1: He has a wife. It's not you. You're the chick
- 38:23Speaker 1: on the side. You know why it's so good because
- 38:25Speaker 1: y'all ain't got no bills together. Y'all ain't got no
- 38:27Speaker 1: medicaid together. Y'all ain't trying to make no house noes together.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Y'all ain't got no grandkids. Y'all ain't trying to prepare
- 38:33Speaker 1: for retirement. That's why it's great. Go put that other
- 38:36Speaker 1: stuff on it. You ain't gonna like his ass. No,
- 38:38Speaker 1: he's down to the little bit of milk left in
- 38:40Speaker 1: the cereal. That's where he is down to, y'all, stupid
- 38:47Speaker 1: Manutes after the hour, we'll have more from the CLO
- 38:51Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, here's another
- 38:57Speaker 1: CLO question for you. These are grown women, now good
- 39:01Speaker 1: and grown women asking these questions. This one says, okay, Steve.
- 39:06Speaker 1: This is um Amara from Brooklyn, New York. She says,
- 39:10Speaker 1: I am a fifty eight year old divorced woman. I'm
- 39:13Speaker 1: trying to meet a really nice man, but on dating
- 39:16Speaker 1: websites most men are looking for a hookup and not
- 39:19Speaker 1: a serious relationship. The last guy I met told me
- 39:22Speaker 1: he wanted to have sex with me in his hot tub.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I am sticking to the ninety day no sex rule,
- 39:27Speaker 1: and this drives men away? Does your ninety day rule
- 39:30Speaker 1: only apply to young women? Fifty applies you you're fifty eight,
- 39:33Speaker 1: you're still young. You're fifty eight, you're still young. Now,
- 39:36Speaker 1: if you were seventy five running this letter, I tell
- 39:38Speaker 1: you go ahead and get on in that hot two
- 39:45Speaker 1: of you ain't got seventy five. You ain't got a
- 39:47Speaker 1: whole lot more time. You're gonna be stepping over in
- 39:49Speaker 1: nothing hot. So but if fifty eight you steal young, yes,
- 39:55Speaker 1: the ninety day rule applies because in the age bracket
- 39:59Speaker 1: of fifty eight, sad to say, it's still men playing
- 40:02Speaker 1: the game. So if you're on dating site, you already
- 40:05Speaker 1: know most men want to hook up. That's the game now.
- 40:08Speaker 1: They're looking for easy prey and they are on the
- 40:10Speaker 1: dating sites because they don't know there's so many women
- 40:12Speaker 1: who will be easy. Stick to your guns. Who is
- 40:16Speaker 1: for you? It's really still out there. But you gotta
- 40:18Speaker 1: have some type of patients and you can't set yourself
- 40:21Speaker 1: up for her. And that's all you're gonna do is
- 40:23Speaker 1: set yourself up for her. Yeah, I want to have
- 40:26Speaker 1: sex with you in the hot. Tell if he's over
- 40:28Speaker 1: fifty eight he's that's not gonna be good set. I'm
- 40:31Speaker 1: telling what if he's over fifty eight that sex in
- 40:35Speaker 1: that hot tel, that ain't gonna be good set. Somebody,
- 40:39Speaker 1: damn man, with all that splashing going on and trying
- 40:43Speaker 1: to move around in that water and keep your toe
- 40:45Speaker 1: pressure right, or you don't slip and fall. It's not
- 40:48Speaker 1: gonna steam coming up off that water, and then't have
- 40:52Speaker 1: hot water driving everything out. That ain't the sex you
- 40:56Speaker 1: think it is. It is not the sex you think
- 40:58Speaker 1: it is. You're not producing stuff the way you used
- 41:02Speaker 1: to it. He ain't either, and you're gonna need some
- 41:04Speaker 1: marsha in here at hot ass water. It's just like
- 41:07Speaker 1: it's just dry everything out. I ain't gonna be all
- 41:14Speaker 1: that in that hot ass water either, all right, Steve,

- 45:10Speaker 1: Um and you you came in and I got it
- 45:12Speaker 1: physical I guess about a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, okay,
- 45:15Speaker 1: and my understanding this is for your for your occupation, correct, Yeah, okay,
- 45:20Speaker 1: you're at what do you do for a living when
- 45:21Speaker 1: you're a driver. Okay, Now I was giving you a
- 45:26Speaker 1: call about I'm here looking at your records and all
- 45:28Speaker 1: the testings that you actually went through. Um wow, let's
- 45:32Speaker 1: see have you had any Have you had any activity
- 45:35Speaker 1: or any problems around your naval area? Na that's fine? Okay.
- 45:41Speaker 1: It was saying, all right, h yeah, everything's fine. But
- 45:44Speaker 1: I mean if you haven't had any any type of nothing,
- 45:47Speaker 1: no breakout or anything around your navel or whatsoever. Nah
- 45:52Speaker 1: about my navel? Now everything's going straight, man, Okay, to
- 45:56Speaker 1: see what's going on? Man, what's happening? Okay, Actually, you've
- 46:00Speaker 1: been diagnosed with um oak triositis and os oriostitis is
- 46:05Speaker 1: actually a fungus that comes out of South America. And
- 46:09Speaker 1: you have no activity whatsoever around your NAVELO. It's otriositis, sir.
- 46:17Speaker 1: And what what that is is actually your your If
- 46:21Speaker 1: you haven't had it yet you say you haven't had
- 46:23Speaker 1: any activity, there's gonna be like a small little tree
- 46:27Speaker 1: that's gonna be growing from your navel, and it gets
- 46:30Speaker 1: about six inches long and it probably bears about probably
- 46:33Speaker 1: about twenty five to thirty leaves on it, but it's
- 46:35Speaker 1: very small. You see a tree gonna be growing out
- 46:39Speaker 1: my navel. It's gonna be a small tree. And uh,
- 46:42Speaker 1: what's gonna happen is I'm gonna have to get you
- 46:44Speaker 1: to come back in probably in the next month. We're
- 46:46Speaker 1: gonna need you to come in so we can check
- 46:48Speaker 1: it out. But it's got to grow its fullest potential
- 46:50Speaker 1: before we can actually do anything to it. Na. I
- 46:53Speaker 1: can't come in and on mind, I got to come
- 46:55Speaker 1: in today. Man, somebody got so we we we result Man,
- 47:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna get married. Man, Well, we can't. It has
- 47:03Speaker 1: to grow with fullest potential, sir. And the full term
- 47:06Speaker 1: is actually like about four weeks before we can act. Man.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I'm not waiting for those four weeks. Man. Somebody got
- 47:11Speaker 1: to come tell me something, right, Nah, Man, I ain't
- 47:13Speaker 1: gonna go married. Man, have to fly to time, man
- 47:16Speaker 1: and have something going out of my neighbor. Man, y'all
- 47:18Speaker 1: going crazy, man, Sir Otriosa, this is something that's very rare.
- 47:22Speaker 1: We're actually getting this assignment from overseas in South America
- 47:25Speaker 1: on how to treat this. Man. I don't give it down.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Where is it? Man, Somebody's gonna have to come give
- 47:30Speaker 1: me some help, right, nah, Man, I'm gonna get ready
- 47:32Speaker 1: to get married. Man, I'm not gonna be putting up
- 47:34Speaker 1: with it. Man, Somebody in this office main't got to
- 47:36Speaker 1: come down and then do something for me. Man, And
- 47:39Speaker 1: what you say, get it? If you said I can
- 47:41Speaker 1: cut it out myself. So the best I can do
- 47:43Speaker 1: is probably trim it a bit, you know, and maybe
- 47:45Speaker 1: knock a few leaves off. But I cannot touch the
- 47:47Speaker 1: full stock at all. Man. You can cut this for
- 47:50Speaker 1: a bad day, do something, sir. If you cut it
- 47:54Speaker 1: right now, you cannot, Sir. If you cut it, there's
- 47:56Speaker 1: a possibility of hemorrhaging, and you're gonna really create a
- 47:59Speaker 1: bigger problem than what you have already. Man, I'm trying
- 48:03Speaker 1: to get this school adopt. Man. You didn't tell me.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Ain't nobody that I've dried on there and get this
- 48:08Speaker 1: put dot. Man. I'm gonna get married in two weeks. Man,
- 48:11Speaker 1: we're gonna fly to Jamaican. It can't now. Somebody can
- 48:15Speaker 1: do this for me. So you cannot pull it out.
- 48:20Speaker 1: You're gonna create good Man, You're gonna create a bigger
- 48:23Speaker 1: problem if you try to pull it out, sir. Problems
- 48:26Speaker 1: are already out. I'm trying to get this problem. Man,
- 48:29Speaker 1: you mean tell me the big hospital. Ain't now help me?
- 48:34Speaker 1: You want me to do it? Man, It's not something
- 48:36Speaker 1: I have poke out of my summer and you turn me.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Ain't you can do? Man, sir, Oak triositis is not
- 48:42Speaker 1: something that we treat all the time. Like I said,
- 48:44Speaker 1: it hails from South America, so we got I don't
- 48:46Speaker 1: give it for he from Great Britain. Somebody. I'm feeling
- 48:51Speaker 1: for me to come down and help me pull this man, Sir.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I understand what you're going through, but we have to
- 48:56Speaker 1: let it grow. It's full term, which is four weeks, sir,
- 49:00Speaker 1: the full root of it having to grow. Man, I
- 49:02Speaker 1: ain't row man. I'm gonna vote on right. Nah Man,
- 49:05Speaker 1: y'all gonna have to do something. Man, sir. There's nothing
- 49:08Speaker 1: we can do. We can probably trim it a little bit.
- 49:11Speaker 1: The trim get some training so this man do something. Sir.
- 49:16Speaker 1: There's nothing we can do at this point but sit
- 49:18Speaker 1: back and wait and let it grow. It's full term, Okay.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Can we get you doing the waiting? Man? Somebody helped me, right,
- 49:24Speaker 1: nah Man, sir? Can we get an appointment for you
- 49:26Speaker 1: in the next four to five weeks? And when we
- 49:28Speaker 1: do that, you got to get appointment for me to day.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna get matter. Man, I'm gonna fly to Jamaica. Man,
- 49:33Speaker 1: I can't have them ticking out of me. I can't
- 49:36Speaker 1: see at the apport. Man, he's gonna embarrassing me like
- 49:39Speaker 1: that man that chicking out my neighbor. Sir, I understand it.
- 49:43Speaker 1: And like I said, oak, triositis is very rare, and
- 49:46Speaker 1: it's it's something that we haven't treated that many times
- 49:49Speaker 1: here in the States, but overseas, the message that we're
- 49:51Speaker 1: getting is that we need to let it grow. It's
- 49:53Speaker 1: full term, so we man, tell me, ain't nobody in
- 49:56Speaker 1: the mirrorhood got treat what the man? It's triositis, sir,
- 50:01Speaker 1: So I get it. Nobody else got it, Sir. I
- 50:06Speaker 1: could not believe that you were coming up with otriositis
- 50:09Speaker 1: here in the States. It's it's something very rarely seen here.
- 50:12Speaker 1: There's been two people in the past has been diagnosed
- 50:14Speaker 1: with this and they actually passed away. So now you
- 50:17Speaker 1: telling them dive and you're gonna chip me three weeks. Man,
- 50:21Speaker 1: I'm coming down another day. Man, somebody's gonna do something
- 50:24Speaker 1: for me. Sir. There's nothing that we can do today
- 50:27Speaker 1: until four to five weeks or I gotta go get married.
- 50:31Speaker 1: I'm flying to Jamaica. Man, I just said, Man, I'm
- 50:35Speaker 1: hearing what you're saying, but I can't do anything if
- 50:38Speaker 1: you don't see the tree already coming out of the navel. Yet,
- 50:42Speaker 1: somebody got to do something. Mind Now, I'm saying what
- 50:45Speaker 1: you want me to do. Man, I don't know what
- 50:47Speaker 1: I want you to do, sir, but I have one
- 50:49Speaker 1: more thing I can tell you. Say, Man, are you listening.

- 53:09Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 53:11Speaker 1: going to read this one right here right nawb it
- 53:16Speaker 1: that was for you, Jay. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, it's
- 53:19Speaker 1: that time. It's time for the Strawberry Letter with my
- 53:21Speaker 1: good friend Shirley Strawberry. Thank you, junior subject. I'm going
- 53:26Speaker 1: down because he ain't around. To Stephen, Shirley, I am
- 53:29Speaker 1: a divorced female. I am crushed and lonely without a
- 53:32Speaker 1: man in my life. That's why I'm writing you, and
- 53:36Speaker 1: that's my only problem. I am one of those women
- 53:39Speaker 1: that does not like to be without a man and
- 53:41Speaker 1: someone to lean on when I feel down or when
- 53:44Speaker 1: I'm going through things. I was in a tumultuous marriage
- 53:48Speaker 1: for about ten years and I've been single for three
- 53:51Speaker 1: years now. Even though my marriage was crazy, I wanted
- 53:55Speaker 1: to work things out so I would not end up alone.
- 53:58Speaker 1: I feel like I'm just going through life now without
- 54:01Speaker 1: any satisfaction. I am fine when I'm around others, but
- 54:05Speaker 1: when I'm at home, that's when I realize I'm bored
- 54:09Speaker 1: and alone. I got dressed for church on Sunday, and
- 54:13Speaker 1: I noticed that I haven't purchased new underwear in the
- 54:15Speaker 1: last three years. I don't even care if my underwear
- 54:18Speaker 1: matches anymore because no one is going to see it.
- 54:21Speaker 1: I also haven't bought any new dresses or heels because
- 54:24Speaker 1: I don't feel like there's anyone to impress. I did
- 54:27Speaker 1: all of that for my husband, but now I will
- 54:30Speaker 1: wear my headscarf that I sleep into the grocery store.
- 54:33Speaker 1: My friends tell me that I'll never find a man
- 54:36Speaker 1: like that because men are always lurking and looking when
- 54:40Speaker 1: I least expect it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not
- 54:43Speaker 1: all depressed and feeling hopeless. I just can't snap out
- 54:46Speaker 1: of this phase I'm going through. My ex husband has
- 54:49Speaker 1: moved on, and he says he is happier now. Stephen Shirley,
- 54:54Speaker 1: how can I get back to reality before it's too
- 54:57Speaker 1: late and I'm an old maid? Please advise? Well, you
- 55:02Speaker 1: said all through your letter that you know you're not depressed,
- 55:05Speaker 1: or you're not down or anything, but I'm gonna say
- 55:07Speaker 1: it sounds like you are depressed because you're going outside
- 55:11Speaker 1: to the store with your head scarf that you sleep
- 55:13Speaker 1: in that you wear to bed to the grocery store.
- 55:17Speaker 1: That doesn't sound a little depressed to you. I mean,
- 55:20Speaker 1: that's not what you would do normally. You haven't bought
- 55:23Speaker 1: yourself any new underwear, any new dresses, any heels or anything.
- 55:28Speaker 1: It doesn't sound like you cannot afford to do that.
- 55:32Speaker 1: You just haven't done it. You are going through something,
- 55:35Speaker 1: whether you want to admit it or not. And you
- 55:38Speaker 1: said it. Your crushed lonely without a man in your life.
- 55:42Speaker 1: So you are crushed, you are down. Your friends are right,
- 55:46Speaker 1: you won't get a man like that going to a
- 55:48Speaker 1: grocery store with your head scarf and head rag on
- 55:51Speaker 1: and you know, and all of that. But the point is,
- 55:55Speaker 1: you know, it's almost like you're doing all these things
- 55:58Speaker 1: for a man. What do you do for yourself? You
- 56:00Speaker 1: gotta do some things for yourself. You gotta feel good
- 56:05Speaker 1: about yourself, and you know, and do these things for yourself,
- 56:10Speaker 1: be confident in who you are. Don't just do them
- 56:12Speaker 1: for a man. You gotta love yourself. I mean, again,
- 56:17Speaker 1: your friends are right, you're not going to get a
- 56:18Speaker 1: man like that because men are visual. They do like
- 56:22Speaker 1: a very nice package they do. So you gotta do
- 56:25Speaker 1: what you gotta do in this situation, whether if it's
- 56:29Speaker 1: going to see a therapist. Even though you're kind of
- 56:32Speaker 1: in denial right now, you know, whatever you gotta do,
- 56:34Speaker 1: you gotta get out by yourself, some new clothes. You'll
- 56:37Speaker 1: feel better. You know, when you get some new dresses,
- 56:40Speaker 1: some new underwear, start loving on yourself again. That is
- 56:45Speaker 1: a problem. Then you can you know, I think you'll
- 56:48Speaker 1: attract a man or whatever, but it's never gonna work
- 56:52Speaker 1: if you don't love yourself anyway. So start there, and
- 56:55Speaker 1: I think you know you'll have better results in your relationship.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Start with you, be happy, be with who you are you, Steve.
- 57:03Speaker 1: This letter right here is from a woman who, as
- 57:06Speaker 1: surely so so wonderfully pointed out, you're in denial through
- 57:12Speaker 1: the whole letter, because everything you say and you're not,
- 57:15Speaker 1: it sounds like you are. So here's your problem. I
- 57:20Speaker 1: am one of those women that doesn't like to be
- 57:23Speaker 1: without a man and someone to lean on when I
- 57:26Speaker 1: feel down or when I'm going through things. See, that's
- 57:29Speaker 1: a problem. So now once you've identified the problem, you
- 57:32Speaker 1: further fall deeper into it. I was in a tumultuous
- 57:36Speaker 1: rad marriage for about ten years. I've been single for
- 57:40Speaker 1: three now, and even though my marriage was crazy, I
- 57:43Speaker 1: wanted to work things out so I would not end
- 57:46Speaker 1: up alone. Wait a minute, Wait a minute. So you
- 57:48Speaker 1: wanted to stay in something that you were absolutely probably
- 57:53Speaker 1: miserable in, but you wanted to stay in it just
- 57:57Speaker 1: so you wouldn't be alone. So let me get just right.
- 58:00Speaker 1: You would rather be in a bad marriage, feel with
- 58:04Speaker 1: misery with no reward than to be alone. See the
- 58:10Speaker 1: problem we have in this letter is you have a
- 58:13Speaker 1: bad definition. See being alone is solitude, but being alone
- 58:21Speaker 1: becomes loneliness when you become aware of it. You follow
- 58:26Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Being alone is solitude. Solitude is good
- 58:31Speaker 1: for the soul. Everybody needs some me time. Everybody needs
- 58:35Speaker 1: some time to themselves, to gather your thoughts, to be
- 58:37Speaker 1: who you are, do what you want to do. But
- 58:40Speaker 1: that solitude can easily turn into loneliness when you are
- 58:46Speaker 1: aware of it. And all you're doing is making yourself
- 58:51Speaker 1: aware of what life is like without somebody, even if
- 58:55Speaker 1: it's miserable with somebody. I just feel like I'm you know,
- 59:00Speaker 1: I want things work out so I wouldn't end up blown.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I feel like I'm just going through life now without
- 59:05Speaker 1: any satisfaction. I'm fine when I'm around others. Okay, So
- 59:09Speaker 1: when you buy yourself, you ain't nothing to do. Like
- 59:13Speaker 1: I said, i'm home, That's when I realize I'm bored
- 59:17Speaker 1: and alone. I got dressed for church on Sunday. I
- 59:20Speaker 1: noticed that I haven't purchased new underwear in the last
- 59:23Speaker 1: three years. I don't care. I'm underwear matches anymore, called
- 59:26Speaker 1: no one is going to see it. Let's see. That's
- 59:28Speaker 1: why you're wrong about underwear. Bad underwear can keep me
- 59:32Speaker 1: in a way. When we come back, I'll tell you what.
- 59:34Speaker 1: All right, Steve, we'll be listening waiting for it. You're
- 59:38Speaker 1: a response part two of today's Strawberry Letter, I'm going
- 59:41Speaker 1: down because he ain't a Brown. We're gonna hear more
- 59:44Speaker 1: from Steve at twenty three minutes after the hour right
- 59:47Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on, let's
- 59:53Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letters subject I'm going down because he
- 59:56Speaker 1: ain't around. Here's this lady that got a divorced and
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: she would rather have stayed in her marriage that was miserable,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: but she'd rather be miserable than to be alone. She
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: has this problem with being by herself, obviously, and She's
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: willing to do anything to be with somebody. That's why
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: she would rather stay in the tumutualius marriage for ten
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: years than to be by herself. And she wanted it
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: to work because, she says, so I would not end
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: up alone. Now she feels like she's going through life
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: without any satisfaction. I'm fine when I'm around others, but
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: when I'm home, that's when I realize I'm bored and alone. Lady,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: you've got to change your viewpoint of being by yourself
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: the ten years of rough marriage. Don't you see that
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: the breakup was the blessing for you that now God
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: has given you an opportunity to have a fuller, richer,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: more wonderful and rewarding life than the ten years of
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: turmoil you were in. But you can't see the blessing
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: because you keep looking at the negative of being by
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: yourself or the devil the foods you real good. So
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: now he got you thinking you buy yourself that you
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: would rather be in misery than to be alone. Are
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: you crazy? See you you didn't miss the whole blessing
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: because you keep looking at what you don't have instead
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: of realizing the opportunity of blessing those put in front
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: of I got dressed for church on Sunday, and I
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: noticed that I haven't purchased new underwear in the last
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: three years. I don't even care my underwear matching me
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: call because no one gonna see it. People see bad underwear.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: You can't get away from bad underwear. Then under that
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: old underwear can be keeping men away. See letty, what's
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: wrong with bad bad underwear? You walking? You don't even
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: know that the lastic around the topton pop. Now the
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: lastic is hanging out the top of your pants. Here
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: got another reason you need to straighten your underwear out
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: When men see your panty line in your pants. You
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: only got one panty line on one side because the
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: other side that snapped ain't cutting into you like the
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: other side. Now you got one panty line. Now, women
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: don't like panty lines, but we do. Really yeah, men
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: like panty line. Look at that thing trying to bust
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: up out of there. Men don't mind panty lines. Women
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: don't like pant lines because women like the smoothness. That
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: smoothness is cool. But when the panty line, we know
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: you got panties on. Now, imagination going crazy. But I
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: wonder what it looked like. I get out the draw.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? You got stuff like that
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: going on? And if you got a hole in your
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: underwear with pants on, we can see that hole in
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: your underwear. We see all this, So stop saying that
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: bad underwear and you can put it on. Now, here's
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: another thing you do when you go to grocery store.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: You got your head wrapped in the red that you
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: slept in. Now you walk around the grocery store like
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: you are to be on errup bottle. So now, who
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: you expecting me? Don't nobody want to lay they on
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: the syrup bottle? But that old ass man on that
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: right now? Who who you gonna now? Now? The only
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: person won't at your mamma is uncle Ben. Now you're
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: just walking around toe up. I did all that for
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: my husband, but now I wear my head's golf that
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I sleep into the grocery store. Don't nobody want to
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: be walking behind you smelling sulfur ating gloves? Man? Are
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: we smelling this Burger Martin pro line? Body? Walking behind you?
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: What is that? Man? Is that sofa? Eight? And for
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: young people that don't know what that is, walk your
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: ass down the black beauty section at a drug store
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: and learn yourself something. Now, your friends is absolutely right,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: because your friends is telling me that you never find
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: a man like that. You know why, because who you
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: could meet, it's who you're not preparing to meet because
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you don't want to do it because you don't have
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: a man. But it's the same thing you gotta do
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: to get a man. Don't get me wrong, I'm not
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: depressed and feeling hopefully you damn show sound like it
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: in this letter though, really, and I'll tell you something else.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: One last thing about this underwear. You feel better when
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: you got on new underwear. You walked there, walk that
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: damn head, rag off your head at that damn grocery stove,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: looking like you're in that shopping for white folks. No hell,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: that makes me sick, bashing them seeing me down here
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: to get grocery for the wickend. You ass that rag
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: off your damn head. Why you're in that? Why aren't
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: you saying couple of spirituals? Why ye make me mad?
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Now you're in here? Now my ex when has moved on,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: and he says he's happy enough, Yes, he's happy. You
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: at the house, Joe glad you here. What you're watching?
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I want to watch TV with you. I'm watching the game?
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: What's on? What kind of game? So nobody won't all that. Hey,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: it's golf to the day, all right, Steve Boast your
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: comments on today's Roger Mule down to the Tide on
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Instagram and stop pushing brothy car take a wheel bowl
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: in there. Don't forget to check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: podcast on to me. Oh we wanted for potatos? I
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: got the Boden hold back. Oh boy. Now coming up
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: at forty six minutes after the hour, some really really
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: sad news. I hate to hear this guy's Alabama death
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: row inmate, Nathaniel Woods has been put to death. We'll
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: talk about it right after this really sad you're listening, boy,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I honestly, and I'm sure you guys didn't either think
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: this was going to happen. Nathaniel Woods, the Alabama death
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: row inmate, was executed by lethal injection last night. He
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: was convicted Yeah, and the fatal shooting of three Birmingham
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: police officers despite not being the gunman. Nathaniel Woods, who
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: prosecutors claim masterminded the shooting of three Birmingham police officers
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: at a drug house back in two thousand and four.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: But the condemned man's lawyers, his family, and a throng
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: of supporters, Steve, including Martin Luther King Junior's son, insists
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: that Woods never pulled the trigger and shouldn't have been
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: put to death for a crime he did not commit.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: How sad is this? You know? From Cairo, Yesteron, I
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: had was watching the news about it, and they had
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: just said they had given him a state, yes, and
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: that the Supreme Court had given him a stake. Clarence Thomas,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: who virtually never signs any stays of execution, he signed it.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Come to find out, just when Shirley made the announcement,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: because I went to bed thinking, hey, okay, they spared
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: this kid's life. Shirley. What's the governor of Alabama's name?
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: K Ivy? Governor k The governor overrode the decision of
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: these Supreme Court justices and put him to death. Anyway,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: they had given him a stay. They were there for
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: the education. They gave him a stay. She calls down
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: and overrules it and kills this man. How evil of
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: a person can you be? Now here's the particulars of
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: it as I was watching it. The guy who was
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: to confess trigger man, he's on death row in Alabama.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: He said he had nothing to do with it. As
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: a matter of fact, he didn't even aware of what
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: was happening. And guess what, here's the other fact. He
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: was in the same room where they opened up fire
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: and the three police officers got killed. Who who knowing
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: that we find to kill some people sit there while
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the bullets is flying. Nobody? And that's the other thing
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: that the shooter said. How would he know that? And
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: why if he knew that, why would he sit there?
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Why would he not get out the way? Yeah? That right.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: This woman should not be in political office who does
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: not have a heart and an understanding. If the Supreme
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Court gives this man a state for her to overturn
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: the state, that's pure evil. K Ivy should not be
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: the governor of the state of Alabama. And if y'all
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: got an election coming up, she got to go. I
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: bet not find out by no elections, I'm on a mission.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: She out. We'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to Harvey
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Morning Show. Still some sad news. I mean, it's hard
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: to process this guy's. Alabama has executed inmate Nathaniel Woods.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: The US Supreme Court has denied, or they did deny,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: the stay of execution of Woods, just hours after ordering
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: a temporary halt. Woods forty two, had been scheduled to
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: be executed at six pm. That would be seven pm
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Eastern on last night. The court's temporary stay order came
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: only minutes before he was actually put to death. Woods
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: was convicted of killing three police officers back in two
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: thousand and four, but there are questions. There were many,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: many questions about his innocence, his culpability, and his co
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: defended Carrie Spencer said Woods was innocent because he said
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: he killed the officers, sad and right admitting it. And
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: they still don't do So you executed an innocent man. Yeah,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: the state of Alabama k iv yep. That's what happened.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: See and this and deals like this. Tommy has said
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: it best off the air. But it's deals like this
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: that are bought about because of pressure, pure pressure. They
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: won't justice for the police families. And I understand that, listen, man,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I understand that you want justice for the victim, these
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: three police officers lost their lives in the line of duty.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I understand it. You got the confessed shooter who said
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: he did it, who's also on death row. By the way, Steve, Okay,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: why I killed the one that said he had nothing
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: to do with And even the shooter has come out
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: and said that man had nothing to do with this. Yeah,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: he didn't know what was gonna happen. Matter of fact,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: he was in the same room when when when they're
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: open up fire, who knows that they'd set the police.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Why would you be in the same room when you
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: know this gun gonna be started rolling up in there.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: So at that right there, But the Supreme Court gives
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: us stay, the governor overrules it, and then the Supreme
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Court backs out and says, okay, come on, man, we're
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: in that rush to kill somebody. But that type of
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: pressure comes from the folks at your church, your political contributors,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: people who donate to your campaign, the people at your
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: bridge club, the ones you go to the galas with,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: and the ones you go down there to that church with.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: And we want justice for these families, and you're gonna
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: give it to us. And because you can't face that
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: circle of people that you're associated with. You kill the man. Yeah,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: innocent man they killed, and they didn't care if he
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: was innocent or not. That black. That's what happened when
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: you do that, and that's justice for the families, the
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: justice for the Familiok. They got death row in Alabama.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I'm not a component of the death row death penalty,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: not really. But you got a man on death row
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: who admitted that he did it. Okay, I'm not gonna
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: change that process on this radio show today. Probably not.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: So you have the guy that said he did it,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: The innocent guy who had nothing to do with it,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: shouldn't have been put to down. You set him up, don't.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: What proof do you all have of that? And you
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: have a confession. Yeah, no proof, just just say it. Don't.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: They need it because he's black. They always do it
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: because he black. They don't. This don't. This does not
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: happen to non blacks and non browns. It just doesn't happen.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: They don't do That's sad. Y're very sad. You're angry, Yeah, because,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: like Steve said, seems like it are people right, right,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: And that's why groups and organizations like Black Lives Matter
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: come about. Because the situations like this. Yeah, and then
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: they have a problem with that as well well, because
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: you gotta be you gotta be really smart, because this
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: system is the masters of the spin. So you gotta
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: watch how they spin it. Black lives matter, well, white
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: lives matter too. Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: wait wait, we're not saying they don't. So see you
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: remember at the beginning what I said they should change
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: the name of the movement to Black Lives Matter. Also,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I kept saying that, but you gotta because they're gonna
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: spin it, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right. Um, the
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour right after this. You're listening,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: all right, guys. Quick reminder, Oh I love this. This
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Sunday morning, at two a m. We will set our

- 1:14:20Speaker 1: this it's March which turn to three. Oh my god,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I love it. Oh my god, it's getting quired. You're
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: like that. I love this time. I absolutely love it.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: I do too, me too. You know what I like?
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: You know what I like? What go to church and
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: watch the people who get the real damn so much
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: like this and just wait, why the pastor preaching the
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: already a lot of them called to bust it so
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: they can't go back home. You're so bad, you do
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: a lot, but he ain't started yet. Yeah, another hour.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: There's no excuse this time because you got the time
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: on your phone and goes automatically, changes automatically. People ain't
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: got this shad. You got a smart phone. You're the
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: extra hourip flip phone. Don't go back, so spring for
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: it this weekend. Okay, more of the Steve Harvey morning
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: shows and a poem for Women's Day coming up from Junior,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: our resident poet at thirty three minutes after right after this,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: you're listening to show, all right, So Junior, you have
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: something special for the women. Yeah, sure, I have some
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: special for the women because I love women. Well good,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: yeah yeah, And it's International Women's Day. I thought i'd
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: write a poem for women, you know, on International Women's Day.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Seem I mean it just hit me. Poem out in
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: my pocket. Here's the International Women's Day. I give you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: a great salute. No one else has written a poem,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: so I guess they don't give a hoot. Black and brown,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: red and white women in every shade. I won't pick
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: one over the other. That's the mistake that Jenity Brown
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: made just white women. I want to take this time
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: to give you a big high five, but with all
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: these diseases floating around, I don't think that would be wise.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: So let me say from the bottom of my heart,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: enjoy your special day. I love you, each and every
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: one of you. And that's all I have to say.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Happy International Women's Day. What Bush, that's what. That's what
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: we saved this folk. We've been setting this up for
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: all all day long. You set this up last hour.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: This is what we've been waiting on. Well, that's it.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I mean, that was great. And anybody talking to you,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Junior called the word in the Yeah did you think
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: of that? Wasn't that perfect placement? Wow? Nobody else do
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: the point? I guess they don't get at what the
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: last time you hear? And then you mentioned j for
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: white women in the National Women's Great points? You look
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: stupid asking one or the other. You know, my boy
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Brown deal, I'm sham of all of y'all. In a minute,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: where is your point? Man? Huh? I had one for
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: women because you women, they know women. You got to
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: do so for women. I'll tell you right now. If
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: that is what you women is you got, you could
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: have kept that. I'm taking that. It's thirteen women down
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: and Dallas didn't pull though I pulled over. Junior. Women.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Don't give you credit for mediocrity, no more. They don't
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: do that. And that women changed now. But that was
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: not a great poem. It was short, and it wasn't
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: but about two people. But that's it. That's all unique.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Who said a poem got to be six pages? Who says?
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Where is that written anywhere? And the most Shakespeare's out here?
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: All right, listen, coming up and tell her last break
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: of the day. Before you say anything, I needn't let
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: everybody know. This is the last break of the day.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: So if you're sitting around waiting for another damn break,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: just the last one right here. Okay, that's right, and
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: we'll get some closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after the hour right
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show. All right, guys, here
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: we are our last break of the day. It is
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: the last break of the day. There'll be another break,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Oh no, that won't be. This is the last break
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: of the weekend. It's the last break of the week. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: we'll get another break until Monday. Das right, that's right,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: And Steve, before we get to your closing remark, so
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: we have an email from Steve HARVEYFM dot com. It says,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Dear Steve, I simply wanted to thank you for making
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: me feel welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show experience
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: as a white man who loves soul music, good comedy,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: and inspiring conversation. I wanted to point out that I
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: have listened to other black radio shows and often felt
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: excluded as a white listener. It's refreshing that you are
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: inclusive to all listeners without watering down who you are
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: in a time when there is so much division in
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: the US. It's great that you set a shining example
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: of openness and love. DJ Benny James Yeah, well you
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: know what that's that'd be good for this closed remark.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: So let me say it this way. The reason that
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show exists is because we try to
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: create a show which, first of all, the first priority
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: of this show, it's an entertainment show. The second priority
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: of this show, it's a motivational show. We try to
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: inspire and uplift people so that you can have a
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: better quality of life. And then thirdly, we are information
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: and news. That's just our format. That's the way we
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: decided to do our show. You may have a show
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: that gets into more political things than we do. You
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: may have a show that addresses community needs better, but
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: we go to local breaks and we address that too.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: And because we are syndicated show, we happen to be
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: in many many cities across the country, and so on
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: the local breaks, we allow the people to tell you
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: what's going on locally, so we do handle information and
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: what's going on in the community. And so together we
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: have this combination of who we are. But as far
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: as this show being open for everybody, what the man
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: said was that meant the most to me, that you
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: can still be who you are without watering it down,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: but making everybody feel welcome. See listen to all of
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: our listeners. You are free to be who you are,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: and you should be, but we should not stop each
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: other from being who they are. See my life as
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: well as my coworkers, my partners in crime here on
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: the show. Our view of life is that through of
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: an African American view. That view has caused us to
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: see things and experience things that others don't, and it's
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: important that we share our view, our experience, our look
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: at this life through our eyes so that everybody can
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: might be just a little bit more understanding, just a
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: little bit more. Hey, I never looked at it that way,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: or hey, I never thought of it that way. But
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: even I've grown as this show has developed because I've
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: had to come to understand that everybody has a right.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: For example, this upcoming election. Now we can get mad
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: at black people for voting for Trump, we want to,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: but let me explain something. What I've come to the
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: realization of is that they have just but one vote,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and if they have found a way to find to
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: have found a way to like what President Trump has done,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: or think that he has their best interests at hell,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: then they have every right to go in. They have
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: pull that curtain, push that button, stick that pin in
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: the car, to pull that slider, mark that X for
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Donald Trump. I may not agree with it. I may
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: not see anything that you see of how he's made
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: life better for us or for anyone else for that matter,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: but I have to be open and understand that. You
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: know now, the guy that told of President Trump that
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: he was the first black president because it's black history
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: mouth that NFL player, I don't know what the hell
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: he was thinking about. I don't know what that patronizing
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: moment he had since I'm in his face. You know,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: we always so damned grateful when we get invited somewhere
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: that we have to go along with it. You ain't
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: got to go along with it. You can go up
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: there and give your real opinion. But I've grown from that.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: I think that whites have a different view of this
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: world because whites have looked at this world through their eyes,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: and you you almost have to be understanding that they're
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: not gonna see it the same way we see it.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: But they still some good people over there. It really
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: are some good people in this world. And like I've
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: said many times, slavery didn't end just because black people
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: got tired of being slaves. We was tired of slavery
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: from day one. It didn't take us four hundred years
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: to get sick of it. It took that many years
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: for enough whites to join in and say, you know what,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: this ain't right, man, this ain't right. And we got
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: to help them in this That's what happened. So there
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: are good people on both sides. Not like Trump said
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: about Virginia when you had all these hate groups marching
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: and talking about these good people on both sides. You
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: can't be in a hate group and be a good person.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry. So this show is what it is. It's
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: open to all people, but all people have to be
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: open to all other views that don't come from the
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: same set of eyes that you got. White eyes don't
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: see everything just like black eyes. But one thing for
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: show though, we all want to be happy. We all
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: want the best life for our children. We all want
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: to be successful, and we all want to get to
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: the tape in one good piece and have a great life.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: That's the common thread. And we are all God's children,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: and God made each and every one of us. And
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: because your skin is a different color, don't make you
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: worse or better than nobody else. As soon as we
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: get to understanding that, we can get on with it.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks today. Have a great what
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: I tell you, have a great weekend. Bye for all
