- 2:07Speaker 7: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 7: radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Well, okay, here we go.
- 2:17Speaker 7: You know what's important, What's what can be a huge
- 2:21Speaker 7: part of your success is if you if you find
- 2:26Speaker 7: a balance, if you find a balance in your life.
- 2:31Speaker 7: That's that's been very important for me. And I've really
- 2:35Speaker 7: never phrased it this way until now, but I was
- 2:38Speaker 7: kind of thinking about it after my wife and I
- 2:41Speaker 7: mean we set up one night recently. Man. You know,
- 2:44Speaker 7: I often come on here and this is kind of
- 2:46Speaker 7: an inspirational moment of the show, and I try to
- 2:49Speaker 7: remind people about that most important relationship between you and God.
- 2:55Speaker 7: And that's that's the apex of it. That's that's the
- 2:58Speaker 7: that's the top of the crown. You've got to form
- 3:01Speaker 7: the relationship with God. If you don't, everything else struggles.
- 3:04Speaker 7: It's hard to be a good husband without God. It's
- 3:07Speaker 7: hard to be a good family man without God. It's
- 3:09Speaker 7: hard to be successful without God. Man, it's hard to
- 3:12Speaker 7: be hard to get through this thing called life without God.
- 3:15Speaker 2: So that's clear.
- 3:17Speaker 7: But at the same time, you can't talk about God.
- 3:21Speaker 7: Twenty four seven. You got to go to work. Come on, man,
- 3:25Speaker 7: let's just be real. I ain't I ain't your pastor,
- 3:27Speaker 7: and I ain't at your church. But let's just be
- 3:29Speaker 7: real about it. You know now, people tell you got
- 3:32Speaker 7: to keep your mind stayed on Him and all like that.
- 3:34Speaker 7: That's a true statement. Got to keep your mind stayed
- 3:37Speaker 7: in that area. I don't not here to tell you
- 3:39Speaker 7: how to live, but you got to keep your mind
- 3:41Speaker 7: stayed in that area of God, of doing the right thing,
- 3:43Speaker 7: caring about people. That's what I took it as. Now
- 3:46Speaker 7: I could be wrong. I apologize if I'm not saying
- 3:49Speaker 7: it the way you've been taught. I can only do
- 3:51Speaker 7: me now. But after that, you got to go to work.
- 3:55Speaker 7: You got to have some fun. You got to take
- 3:57Speaker 7: care of your business and that's the balance you have
- 4:01Speaker 7: to find so it once you focus on showing up
- 4:06Speaker 7: your relationship with God, you gotta balance this now. Now,
- 4:12Speaker 7: you got to allocate some time I don't care who
- 4:15Speaker 7: you are, for your family. If you're gonna have a family,
- 4:19Speaker 7: you got to allocate some time for them. See, we
- 4:22Speaker 7: can't just marry these women or make these kids and
- 4:26Speaker 7: then neglect them. And fellas, especially if I'm talking to
- 4:30Speaker 7: men out here and ladies you can listen to, but listen.
- 4:33Speaker 7: If you find yourself struggling in your life, man, and
- 4:36Speaker 7: you can't seem to get it together, let's just go
- 4:38Speaker 7: over a couple of things. The first two things, if
- 4:41Speaker 7: you find yourself struggling, you can't seem to pull it
- 4:43Speaker 7: together and reach your goals and get the where you
- 4:46Speaker 7: want to go, Let's just do a check how is
- 4:50Speaker 7: your relationship with God? And then next how much time
- 4:56Speaker 7: are you taking to allocate for your family? Now, your
- 5:00Speaker 7: family don't always live in your house, but if you
- 5:04Speaker 7: made them, they yours and the responsibility to them is
- 5:08Speaker 7: never lessen because you don't stay that no more. Because
- 5:11Speaker 7: you and the girl broke up, you and a woman
- 5:13Speaker 7: don't speak that, hey, man, that don't ever release you
- 5:16Speaker 7: from the obligation. Feel me what I'm telling you this
- 5:19Speaker 7: now because I'm not telling you something I'm wondering about.
- 5:23Speaker 7: I've had to live through them years. So two things
- 5:27Speaker 7: you can start looking at. If you not where you
- 5:29Speaker 7: want to be, and you ain't, you ain't really solent.
- 5:32Speaker 7: You can't figure out why you keep spending your wheels.
- 5:34Speaker 7: Have you just done a random inventory?
- 5:36Speaker 8: Man?
- 5:36Speaker 7: Have you just checked on your relationship with God? Have
- 5:39Speaker 7: you checked on the time you spending dedicated towards your family,
- 5:43Speaker 7: your children that you created? If them two things is
- 5:46Speaker 7: out of sink, man, that I can tell you right now,
- 5:49Speaker 7: you can go on and get to explaining yourself.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Away just like that. Hey man, how come you ain't
- 5:54Speaker 2: where you want to be?
- 5:55Speaker 9: Man?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Comes man, I really ain't. Well, if you really ain't,
- 5:58Speaker 2: then you really ain't.
- 6:00Speaker 7: The third thing is you got to allocate the necessary
- 6:04Speaker 7: time for your business.
- 6:06Speaker 2: You got to handle your business. All of this, man, is.
- 6:12Speaker 7: The way it works. And the order the order is
- 6:17Speaker 7: God first, family second. Then you got to handle all
- 6:24Speaker 7: your business.
- 6:25Speaker 2: But as me, and this is what we do.
- 6:27Speaker 7: If I don't handle my business, I can't take care
- 6:30Speaker 7: of my family. True statement. But if your business is
- 6:34Speaker 7: in front of your family.
- 6:35Speaker 2: You out of order.
- 6:37Speaker 7: Now that's all we talking about now in it. See,
- 6:40Speaker 7: that's all we really say in here now, fellas you know,
- 6:43Speaker 7: you know I mean, I mean, come on, man, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 7: let's let's have a real conversation about being better. You know,
- 6:49Speaker 7: if you have created these children, you got to handle
- 6:51Speaker 7: your business. You may not like the girl no more.
- 6:54Speaker 2: You and the woman might have.
- 6:55Speaker 7: Broken up, y'all might go your own way, But what
- 6:57Speaker 7: that got to do with the child though, Man, you
- 6:59Speaker 7: got to hand under your business. They got to know
- 7:01Speaker 7: who daddy is. That's your obligation. Man, that God ain't
- 7:04Speaker 7: letting you off the hook for that. Try it.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Go ahead and try it and think you're gonna get
- 7:09Speaker 2: off the hook with that, cause you're not. Man, You
- 7:12Speaker 2: just not. I'm sorry, man, dog Steve, Why you coming
- 7:18Speaker 2: like that? Because I did it like that. I did it. Man.
- 7:22Speaker 7: I was over here trying to reshape my life, get
- 7:24Speaker 7: myself up on my feet when I was a homeless
- 7:26Speaker 7: man and trying to come back. Man, I thought I
- 7:28Speaker 7: had to take care of me first and then so
- 7:30Speaker 7: I can neglect it. Care about them kids, man, I
- 7:33Speaker 7: ain't hid at work man. God kept his knee on
- 7:36Speaker 7: my neck for a long time for that one right there,
- 7:38Speaker 7: till I finally learned the lesson hold up man, put
- 7:42Speaker 7: these phone calls in, Go spend some time, do something.
- 7:46Speaker 7: And then it started turning around for me. You know,
- 7:49Speaker 7: I can't be there all the time because I am
- 7:51Speaker 7: out here on the grind, in the hustle. But at
- 7:53Speaker 7: the same time, man, some more phone calls, some more letters,
- 7:56Speaker 7: some more hawh. He heed something, Then take care of
- 8:01Speaker 7: your business.
- 8:02Speaker 9: Man.
- 8:02Speaker 2: You got to work hard to be successful.
- 8:05Speaker 9: You know.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Sometimes I don't put that in there. I just live it,
- 8:08Speaker 7: and I expect my sons to emulate that. But I
- 8:10Speaker 7: gotta talk to them all the time. How hard you
- 8:13Speaker 7: got to work to be something. It's an all out
- 8:16Speaker 7: of salt on it.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Man. If you gotta target in mind, you gotta go.
- 8:20Speaker 7: You gotta wake up every day trying to get there,
- 8:22Speaker 7: and you can't get tired of it because it.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Never ends.
- 8:29Speaker 7: You're gonna always be this way. That's how life is
- 8:32Speaker 7: designed and set up. You got to be a hard worker, man.
- 8:36Speaker 2: If you always looking.
- 8:37Speaker 7: For some time to chill, and man, I wanna go
- 8:39Speaker 7: do what I want to do. You ain't gonna make it.
- 8:42Speaker 7: In order to be successful, you have to do a
- 8:45Speaker 7: series of things that you're uncomfortable doing, and work is
- 8:48Speaker 7: the thing that most of us are uncomfortable doing.
- 8:51Speaker 2: It's so much easier to chill matter. I wish I
- 8:54Speaker 2: could kick back with a cigar man.
- 8:56Speaker 7: All the time, but I can't, Man, I can't because
- 9:03Speaker 7: I got to work. Then the last piece of the
- 9:09Speaker 7: balance pipe balance piece is you gotta take some time
- 9:12Speaker 7: out to enjoy yourself.
- 9:14Speaker 2: But if you ain't where you wanna be, you ain't
- 9:17Speaker 2: got a.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Lot of time to enjoy yourself. Quit thinking, man, that
- 9:22Speaker 7: this balance is even. It's a whole lot of God,
- 9:25Speaker 7: a whole lot of family, a whole lot of business,
- 9:29Speaker 7: and a little bit of chilling. The chilling can't be
- 9:32Speaker 7: equal to the family, the business, all your God. If
- 9:36Speaker 7: the chilling is equal to any of them, you ain't
- 9:39Speaker 7: gonna make it. Quit chilling, man, and go to work
- 9:43Speaker 7: like a man. Do what you're supposed to do. Work
- 9:45Speaker 7: on your family, work on your relationship, work on your God,
- 9:49Speaker 7: work on your business. And then when you chill, you
- 9:51Speaker 7: might not chill as law, but you show gonna chill bigger.
- 9:54Speaker 7: You're gonna ball bigger baby.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening hard. Morning show.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. The Steve Harvey Mornings
- 10:03Speaker 2: Show is here.
- 10:05Speaker 7: I've got sunshine on a cloudy day when it's cold outside.
- 10:10Speaker 7: I got the month of May. Well, I guess you say,
- 10:15Speaker 7: what can make me feel this way? My girl, my girl,
- 10:21Speaker 7: I'm talking about my girl, my girl. Temptations. Don't really
- 10:27Speaker 7: remember the year, but I was young. Those songs have
- 10:31Speaker 7: stood the test of time. I strongly suggest that this
- 10:34Speaker 7: new generation start writing songs that they'll be able to
- 10:38Speaker 7: memorize and hum along and feel good about it.
- 10:41Speaker 2: When you are in your letter years.
- 10:44Speaker 7: Move b get out the way, Get out the way,
- 10:47Speaker 7: Get out the way, move be get out the way
- 10:50Speaker 7: will not mean the same thing to you in your
- 10:52Speaker 7: letter years as it does now. I can assure you
- 10:56Speaker 7: that because you will be sitting next to your wife
- 10:59Speaker 7: and some do and humming, it ain't gonna sound right.
- 11:04Speaker 7: Let's get back to real lyrics before it's too late.
- 11:07Speaker 7: There is a generation who is already too late. I
- 11:10Speaker 7: suggest the new generation that X Gen, whatever they are,
- 11:14Speaker 7: Tasha car his daughter size, you'all got to get back
- 11:17Speaker 7: to it.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 11:19Speaker 7: That is a public service. Announcement from those of us
- 11:22Speaker 7: who care about the music. We listen to, ladies and

- 12:35Speaker 10: proud that I have a wife.
- 12:37Speaker 1: We got a girlfriend.

- 14:35Speaker 13: Oh you said all the other choir members.
- 14:37Speaker 8: I never heard anything from that, Yeah, all of the
- 14:40Speaker 8: choir members. We probably have about ninety five percent of

- 15:18Speaker 8: We put together some things, a great fundraiser, and you know,
- 15:21Speaker 8: the choir members have been very receptive. You are the
- 15:23Speaker 8: last one for me to call, and I wanted to
- 15:26Speaker 8: make sure you are on board with us.
- 15:27Speaker 12: Oh okay, yeah, I just never heard about this, so.
- 15:30Speaker 8: Right right now, are you able to bring your choir

- 15:38Speaker 6: What song?
- 15:38Speaker 8: Did you need us to sing?
- 15:40Speaker 12: Did you tell the pastor about this?
- 15:42Speaker 4: No?
- 15:42Speaker 8: No, no, you guys are not actually going to be
- 15:44Speaker 8: singing a song. What it is is that we're having
- 15:48Speaker 8: a uh. And I'm glad. I'm so glad that you're you're, you're,

- 16:09Speaker 8: But we're having a wet robe uh contest? What now
- 16:15Speaker 8: a wet robe contest.
- 16:17Speaker 12: You're talking about like a wet T shirt contest type
- 16:19Speaker 12: of thing.
- 16:20Speaker 8: Well, it's not a T shirt, it's a robe, so
- 16:23Speaker 8: you don't have a T shirt on.
- 16:25Speaker 4: What we need you to do is no, no, no, no, no,
- 16:27Speaker 4: no no.
- 16:28Speaker 12: Not in the church you're talking about the whole fire
- 16:31Speaker 12: said they're going to do a wet robe contest. You
- 16:35Speaker 12: said a wet road contest. I heard a wet T
- 16:40Speaker 12: shirt contest. That's not that's not the same thing.
- 16:42Speaker 8: Though, right, Well, no, it's a little bit different when
- 16:45Speaker 8: it is. You don't have a T shirt on. You
- 16:47Speaker 8: actually have your your your choir robe on, and you
- 16:50Speaker 8: don't have anything all underneath it. You don't wear any
- 16:53Speaker 8: clothes underneath it. What we do is all ladies, listen
- 16:57Speaker 8: to me. We're gonna let all wet, all of the
- 16:59Speaker 8: ladies out, and the sexiest one that's wet with their
- 17:04Speaker 8: role is gonna win five hundred dollars and path of
- 17:08Speaker 8: the money is gonna go to the children's vacation.
- 17:12Speaker 12: Are you talking about a wet T shirt contest in
- 17:15Speaker 12: the church?
- 17:16Speaker 8: No, I'm talking about a wet road contest at the church.
- 17:19Speaker 12: No, I'm not sending getting there and and and be
- 17:22Speaker 12: naked under n.
- 17:23Speaker 8: It's gonna be it's gonna be out. It's gonna be
- 17:25Speaker 8: out naked under a road. We need you to be
- 17:27Speaker 8: completely naked under your road. And we're gonna win everybody
- 17:30Speaker 8: down with the water holes. And the finest one is
- 17:33Speaker 8: going to be able to uh to win five hundred
- 17:37Speaker 8: dollars and two hundred and fifty of that half of
- 17:39Speaker 8: that money is gonna go to the children's bay.
- 17:41Speaker 12: Came, hold on, hold on, what don't say? Your name
- 17:43Speaker 12: was again?
- 17:44Speaker 8: My name? My name is Brian Bray.
- 17:46Speaker 12: How long you've been a member of this church.
- 17:49Speaker 8: I've been a member for about three weeks now, Like

- 17:58Speaker 12: charge of something I.

- 18:01Speaker 4: Try to.
- 18:03Speaker 8: Do you gave me they're trying to create and you
- 18:10Speaker 8: don't want to help.

- 18:23Speaker 4: Too good to look.
- 18:25Speaker 12: I don't have to exclaim myself, but I'm not gonna
- 18:27Speaker 12: be naked up.
- 18:27Speaker 6: To no church.
- 18:28Speaker 8: Okay, So so you can't do the naked roll car
- 18:31Speaker 8: or content.
- 18:32Speaker 4: You can't do that for the kids.
- 18:34Speaker 12: I know you're not about to tell me what I
- 18:36Speaker 12: can and cannot do for no kids.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Now. I don't know who gave me my number, but I.
- 18:39Speaker 12: Think you need to figure out who else to call
- 18:41Speaker 12: for this because I'm not gonna be a part of this.
- 18:43Speaker 8: We called all the other quod members and they don't
- 18:45Speaker 8: have a problem with it.
- 18:48Speaker 12: All the fire members, what are their names? What other
- 18:51Speaker 12: choir members did you call that would we called?
- 18:55Speaker 8: We called Sister Sister Bridget in the choir. Sister Bridget
- 18:58Speaker 8: didn't have a problem with it.
- 19:00Speaker 12: No Sister Bridge in the choir.
- 19:02Speaker 8: Okay, how about Sister Rachel. Sister Rachel in the choir
- 19:05Speaker 8: was fine with it.
- 19:06Speaker 12: Ain't no, sister Rachel. Sister Rachel wouldn't be getting naked.
- 19:09Speaker 8: Okay, okay, okay, let me ask you this something. Look, look,
- 19:16Speaker 8: do you know sister Divita in the choir? Hello? Yes,
- 19:21Speaker 8: do you know sister DaVita in the choir?
- 19:24Speaker 12: Yes, I know Sister Divita.
- 19:26Speaker 8: Okay. So, so if Sister DaVita said that Sister Bridge
- 19:31Speaker 8: and his sister Rachel didn't have a problem doing it,
- 19:35Speaker 8: why do you have a problem doing.
- 19:37Speaker 12: I'm not about to be naked in a church, kid, You're.

- 19:53Speaker 8: didn't have no problem doing Who.
- 19:55Speaker 12: The hell is Tommy? We don't even have a Tommy
- 19:58Speaker 12: at the church.
- 19:58Speaker 4: You keep making upouther he's made Tommy is nephew.

- 21:06Speaker 5: So we have a question for you this morning and
- 21:10Speaker 5: for everyone all the guys in the show. Does your
- 21:12Speaker 5: significant other have a house rule or rules that are
- 21:15Speaker 5: very serious and if you break them, he or she
- 21:19Speaker 5: will kill you?
- 21:21Speaker 1: Not literally, of course. But let's start with you, Steve
- 21:26Speaker 1: got let's him. Yeah, let's start and finish with Yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I know, I know for sure, I can't hardly see
- 21:36Speaker 2: that's automatic that.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's death on the spot.
- 21:40Speaker 7: That's not even nothing new. Matter of fact, I didn't
- 21:43Speaker 7: even feel comfortable saying that. I mean, that's that's that's
- 21:47Speaker 7: very coming.
- 21:51Speaker 2: That's a house.
- 21:52Speaker 1: But have you heard see guys say well, uh, you
- 21:55Speaker 1: should put it down or you know, look.
- 21:59Speaker 7: Though, because well crazy yo, I said that the last
- 22:04Speaker 7: time we was in Africa.
- 22:06Speaker 1: You said what if you said?
- 22:08Speaker 5: What?

- 22:09Speaker 2: What she said?
- 22:11Speaker 7: Yeah, we was arguing about the toilet seat under a
- 22:13Speaker 7: mosquito net, and I thought I was so sick of
- 22:16Speaker 7: her talking, and I said, well, I'll tell you what.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Next time you go in there, you let it back up?
- 22:23Speaker 1: Have you lost your entire mind?
- 22:25Speaker 3: And how did that go?
- 22:26Speaker 1: How did that evening go?
- 22:28Speaker 2: I'm telling fellas right now, don't say that.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Don't say it the warning.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Listen to uncle. I'm just don't say that.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Why can't we win that artist?
- 22:40Speaker 2: That's not there's no argument to win Toms because I
- 22:46Speaker 2: gave up.
- 22:46Speaker 1: It's made to go down anyway, it's not made to
- 22:49Speaker 1: be up.
- 22:50Speaker 2: But why does it go up? Hello? Hello, I.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Don't even understand why I put it up to use it.
- 22:59Speaker 5: I don't even get that part.
- 23:01Speaker 2: What you want us to pee on the top? Okay,
- 23:04Speaker 2: you don't think. You don't know why we got to
- 23:05Speaker 2: let the lid, let it up.
- 23:07Speaker 15: It's not that much.
- 23:09Speaker 1: When it's down, it's not that much room. Extra room though.
- 23:12Speaker 13: You don't understand this aiming in the morning.
- 23:15Speaker 2: It's aiming at aiming in.
- 23:18Speaker 9: The morning.
- 23:19Speaker 2: That ain't good. You don't know. You don't know if
- 23:22Speaker 2: you're gonna get some unexpected spray.
- 23:26Speaker 15: You don't know.
- 23:27Speaker 2: You ain't never had the smell.
- 23:29Speaker 1: You ain't never had a split decision.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Yeah, hello, yeah, I know. It's a mystery that you
- 23:37Speaker 2: go to the bathroom in the dark and we start
- 23:41Speaker 2: peeling it. Don't hear water?
- 23:43Speaker 15: Got am I?
- 23:47Speaker 4: Oh?
- 23:49Speaker 5: Hell?
- 23:49Speaker 2: And I know I'm peeing and I don't hear nothing.
- 23:58Speaker 4: On this road.
- 23:59Speaker 13: Hey, yeah, you can't find the light switch.
- 24:04Speaker 7: Light on?
- 24:06Speaker 3: Oh no water.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I've been standing there.
- 24:09Speaker 7: I've been standing there, pet and didn't hear no water
- 24:12Speaker 7: and leaned over to cut the light switch on.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Oh pete all over the glade air fresh he all
- 24:25Speaker 2: on the show.
- 24:27Speaker 7: I left for washing, but left but left the pet
- 24:37Speaker 7: on the soap. I just didn't I didn't see it.
- 24:45Speaker 2: It's it's so real.
- 24:48Speaker 13: You take all that.
- 24:49Speaker 11: You can wake up the next morning and look at
- 24:51Speaker 11: the bath and be like God. But see Shirley and Colin.
- 24:55Speaker 11: See y'all don't have little boys. No, all didn't have
- 25:01Speaker 11: little boys. And I quit asking why is the toilet
- 25:04Speaker 11: seat me to go up?
- 25:06Speaker 2: If you had a.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Little boy, I'm thinking, God, right, he had had a girl.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, he ain't even I don't even think we try.
- 25:15Speaker 1: It doesn't sound like straight in the water. It doesn't
- 25:18Speaker 1: sound like.
- 25:22Speaker 7: We have waited till the last minute anyway. Yeah, we
- 25:27Speaker 7: pulling it out?
- 25:28Speaker 2: Is already Pete, Yeah, yeah, none of these al I'm here.
- 25:37Speaker 16: In the way.
- 25:38Speaker 2: You in trouble. I don't know, but that route of
- 25:44Speaker 2: where I'm going, you're in trouble.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I didn't know it was all of this, did you girl?
- 25:52Speaker 2: Y'all?
- 25:53Speaker 8: No boy?
- 25:54Speaker 2: No, but women, women can hold it better than men. Yeah.
- 25:59Speaker 1: And it's not cut off when we're even yeah, pining.
- 26:02Speaker 1: We can cut it off the whole church service, no pride.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I can't cut it. Okay, well, we can cut it off,
- 26:07Speaker 2: but I'll tell you what. You blow your kidney out,
- 26:10Speaker 2: your clamp and shut if you want, it's gonna blow
- 26:17Speaker 2: your kidding out your day, good morning. Ain't gonna believe
- 26:21Speaker 2: you don't have to go to the hospital. Part what's
- 26:23Speaker 2: wrong with Steve's try to shut it off?
- 26:26Speaker 7: Now, when you're a little boy, you're can clamp and shut.
- 26:29Speaker 7: But if you're grown man, you clamp and shut.
- 26:31Speaker 2: You're gonna go to the hospital. You're gonna do My
- 26:35Speaker 2: little boy cold he got he got cold? God ass
- 26:40Speaker 2: is fit to get admitted. You're gonna be checking at
- 26:45Speaker 2: you guys.
- 26:47Speaker 7: You said you're gonna have a risk. You're gonna have
- 26:49Speaker 7: a wrist bracelet on this season.
- 26:54Speaker 11: This so you know, so you know, we don't have
- 26:57Speaker 11: We don't have to cut off the little boy's got
- 27:00Speaker 11: and we ain't got the speed they got. We ain't
- 27:02Speaker 11: got none of that is we might stand there by
- 27:06Speaker 11: seven minutes.
- 27:10Speaker 1: That's a nice.
- 27:15Speaker 13: Stream pressure push out.
- 27:17Speaker 2: If we don't have it, it ain't the same force.
- 27:21Speaker 8: It ain't.
- 27:23Speaker 7: I guess when I was a little boy, I could
- 27:25Speaker 7: push your coke can up the streets. Yes, yes, yeah, yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 7: I can write my name in the I go to
- 27:32Speaker 7: the bathroom. Now, sound like ice cubes going.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Into the water.
- 27:41Speaker 15: Ice alright, so glad, look at the time.
- 27:54Speaker 13: Look listen, we want to hear from you.
- 27:56Speaker 5: What are some house rules your significant other can't break
- 27:59Speaker 5: or else? Go to Steve Harvey FM and all social
- 28:02Speaker 5: media and post your comments.
- 28:04Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. What you got, Carla?
- 28:10Speaker 14: Okay, so listen to this Steve. My friends, a lot
- 28:13Speaker 14: of us appearents. You know, we hang out, we do
- 28:15Speaker 14: things together with our children. So the latest discussion, you know,
- 28:19Speaker 14: we have young kids. So the latest discussion is you're
- 28:25Speaker 14: an expert at this. At what age should you teach
- 28:30Speaker 14: your child how to cuss, curse, or say bad words?
- 28:36Speaker 2: Well, you shouldn't teach them how.
- 28:38Speaker 7: There's no age when you should teach them bad words, okay,
- 28:42Speaker 7: because bad words are not necessary. It all depends on
- 28:46Speaker 7: circumstance and environment. Cussing is an environmental, circumstantial thing that
- 28:53Speaker 7: you have to be able to participate in. And every
- 28:55Speaker 7: circumstance and all environments do not require cussing.
- 28:59Speaker 2: You need to be so it's not a good time for.
- 29:03Speaker 7: The situations will bring out the child when it's necessary.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 29:08Speaker 7: So it's not for you to decide I'm gonna teach
- 29:10Speaker 7: my child because I never taught to any of my
- 29:12Speaker 7: kids to cuse My father never taught me to cuss.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I just picked it up.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Okay, so you overheard it.
- 29:19Speaker 7: And for me personally, the decision to use cussing a
- 29:25Speaker 7: little bit more regularly was somewhere around nine.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yes see.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Nine is when I started implementing it.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty young.
- 29:36Speaker 2: By twelve, I was, you know, I wasn't. It wasn't
- 29:39Speaker 2: really farm good. It wasn't. I was just throwing it
- 29:43Speaker 2: out there.
- 29:43Speaker 7: But I had a lot more situations, and all I
- 29:46Speaker 7: got the more useful and more timely and more situations
- 29:50Speaker 7: presented themselves.
- 29:51Speaker 2: So that's how I did it. So I don't say
- 29:53Speaker 2: that there's an age that you give a child.
- 29:56Speaker 14: Okay, here's why I'm asking this because I know a
- 29:58Speaker 14: lot of people look uncomfortable with this question. But it's
- 30:01Speaker 14: a different time for these kids and going into middle school.
- 30:06Speaker 14: It's just been tough with a group of people that
- 30:08Speaker 14: we hang with with their kids. So they were saying
- 30:10Speaker 14: they want to teach their children how to say blank,
- 30:14Speaker 14: you be get out my face in a situation of bullying,
- 30:17Speaker 14: bully and things.
- 30:20Speaker 2: So yeah, I don't think it's necessary. See you are.
- 30:27Speaker 7: Here's the problem of calling your little crew that y'all
- 30:31Speaker 7: go to school with y'all suburban parents, y'all parents, y'all
- 30:37Speaker 7: from the hood. Yeah, but y'all have become suburbanized, and
- 30:41Speaker 7: you all are suburban parents.
- 30:43Speaker 2: So now you've you've.
- 30:45Speaker 7: Tried to remain bushy and trying to live up to
- 30:50Speaker 7: your status status in life.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Now, but your colleague like the colleague, and you're trying.
- 31:00Speaker 7: To know when to implement hoodism into your kids, and
- 31:03Speaker 7: your kids don't really need that, and so you've got
- 31:08Speaker 7: to teach them other ways. I don't recommend teach sincely
- 31:12Speaker 7: do not recommend teaching cussing to kids, because I mean,
- 31:16Speaker 7: it's it's gonna backfire behavior, you know.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I mean, you don't teach them negative behavior.
- 31:20Speaker 17: Now.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Did I teach my children to take care of themselves? Yeah?
- 31:24Speaker 2: But I found out I was doing it for no reason.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Somebody hit you. Everybody go down there.
- 31:29Speaker 7: My kids ain't down the street fighting and then come
- 31:32Speaker 7: home and you go get all your brothers and go
- 31:34Speaker 7: back down there.
- 31:35Speaker 2: But kids don't look. Matter of fact, the house too
- 31:37Speaker 2: damn far away.
- 31:38Speaker 1: They're not in six flags.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 31:41Speaker 9: See.
- 31:41Speaker 7: I wanted to tell my sons that, but they went
- 31:45Speaker 7: to school where they ain't fight. They ain't fight you.
- 31:50Speaker 7: They talk about your instagram. My daddy took me to
- 31:58Speaker 7: get married, Sandy.
- 32:01Speaker 9: That was my daddy took me over there because they
- 32:04Speaker 9: weren't fighting in my neighborhood, but over there, my cousin
- 32:07Speaker 9: every said, by twelve thirty, yeah, get my butt tore up.
- 32:13Speaker 1: That's how you grew up.
- 32:14Speaker 14: It's like you said, how we grew up and how
- 32:16Speaker 14: we're parenting and how our children are growing up.
- 32:18Speaker 1: It's just too it's two different worlds.
- 32:20Speaker 7: And it's and it's some parenting that just doesn't apply today,
- 32:24Speaker 7: and then a lot of it does, but you all
- 32:26Speaker 7: have removed it because of your new way. But your
- 32:30Speaker 7: kids are suburban kids. So when the bullying goes down
- 32:34Speaker 7: in school, how do you teach them how to cuss?
- 32:36Speaker 7: You ain't got to teach them how to cuss. You
- 32:38Speaker 7: got to get the bully out your face. You don't
- 32:41Speaker 7: get the bully out your face by cussing. There's a
- 32:44Speaker 7: physical activity that can get the bully out. Now, if
- 32:48Speaker 7: you don't want to teach the physical activity, then you
- 32:53Speaker 7: got to go with something else. But bullies don't respond
- 32:55Speaker 7: to get your blankety blank out my blankety blank. They
- 32:59Speaker 7: don't cause they bullets.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Hell. They they one told you, I've.
- 33:03Speaker 7: Been to put my blankety blank in your blankety bl
- 33:06Speaker 7: Now what's your comeback? See, it's hard to outcuss a bullet.
- 33:15Speaker 7: So you got to teach your children to other things.
- 33:17Speaker 7: But I don't recommend teaching your children how to talk
- 33:20Speaker 7: bad to people because that doesn't work because it's just
- 33:23Speaker 7: talk just and eventually if once you talk bad, you
- 33:27Speaker 7: had to bag.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Some of it up.
- 33:30Speaker 10: You did, your parents have put motivation behind you behind
- 33:32Speaker 10: the bully, Like if you.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Don't wolve his, i'm yours.
- 33:36Speaker 10: Yeah, that was the motivation I had again.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Yeah, what what you're crying for? Yeah?
- 33:45Speaker 7: Yeah, come home crying one of them. Damn time, I'm
- 33:48Speaker 7: gonna give you something to cry about. They I'm gonna
- 33:50Speaker 7: take you down there. My brothers then took me back
- 33:53Speaker 7: down the street to fight Manny. Me and Manny, Me
- 33:57Speaker 7: and Mannick got in four fights in one day. Me
- 34:00Speaker 7: and Manny was through with it. Man Manny, my boy
- 34:04Speaker 7: many hitting the picture right up there, the dude with
- 34:07Speaker 7: the hat on with the gold jacket standing there what
- 34:09Speaker 7: they name in my street, my boy Manny. We fought
- 34:11Speaker 7: full time one Me and Manny was through after the
- 34:13Speaker 7: first fight, our brothers and sisters got involved.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Ah, then they were beefing.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Is that what it went?
- 34:22Speaker 7: Rose Calhoun bought Manny back up to my house to
- 34:26Speaker 7: beat me up.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Wow, bigger Rose bought Manny up there to beat my
- 34:32Speaker 2: whoop man Now, Manny whooped me the first time.
- 34:34Speaker 7: I'm through you win. Many we friends. But since she
- 34:39Speaker 7: brought him up to my house and my daddy was
- 34:41Speaker 7: on the porch watching, I got to ten many.
- 34:45Speaker 13: As a.

- 51:51Speaker 5: at her brother's Fourth of July party. I hadn't seen
- 51:53Speaker 5: this woman since she was a young girl. And my,
- 51:56Speaker 5: oh my god aged my own mind god, she oh my,
- 52:01Speaker 5: oh my god, oh I get it. My oh my
- 52:04Speaker 5: god's aged like fine wine. Yes, Steve, sorry, you.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Want to start over, because I don't know who you
- 52:10Speaker 2: If you're talking about the Lord, I don't know.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Now, just figure that one out.
- 52:15Speaker 2: God, oh God, it was God, and my, Oh.
- 52:19Speaker 5: My God, that's what he's trying to say. But I'll
- 52:23Speaker 5: start over all right, Dear Stephen Shirley. For the past year,
- 52:26Speaker 5: I've been sleeping with my best friend's little sister. When
- 52:29Speaker 5: I went to college, I lost all contact with her
- 52:31Speaker 5: until we reconnected last year at her brother's Fourth of
- 52:35Speaker 5: July party. I hadn't seen this woman since she was
- 52:38Speaker 5: a young girl, and my, oh my god, she's aged
- 52:42Speaker 5: like fine wine. Okay, I'm fourteen years older than her,
- 52:46Speaker 5: but we're all grown now. The Lord took his time
- 52:50Speaker 5: with that body.
- 52:51Speaker 1: That evening.
- 52:52Speaker 5: We caught up, had a few drinks, shared some laughs,
- 52:55Speaker 5: and as the night progressed, we ended up in her
- 52:58Speaker 5: brother's coat closet. This woman did things to me that
- 53:02Speaker 5: I'd never had done to me. Since then, we have
- 53:05Speaker 5: become increasingly close, and we've talked about taking it to
- 53:09Speaker 5: the next step.
- 53:11Speaker 2: She has said.
- 53:13Speaker 5: It's of utmost importance that we go about this the
- 53:16Speaker 5: right way and tell her brother about us. The problem is,
- 53:20Speaker 5: her brother is a six to sixth bodybuilder that is
- 53:24Speaker 5: very protective of his sister, and he's a hot head
- 53:28Speaker 5: because of his size. He's always ready for a confrontation
- 53:32Speaker 5: over the smallest stuff. I have personally never had a
- 53:35Speaker 5: disagreement with him in all of the years we've been friends,
- 53:39Speaker 5: so I'm skeptical on telling him face to face.
- 53:42Speaker 1: I don't want to clash with him, but I really
- 53:45Speaker 1: love his sister. And it's been almost a year.
- 53:48Speaker 5: The sneaking around is getting old, and I hope he
- 53:50Speaker 5: can process the information in a mature manner to put
- 53:54Speaker 5: things in perspective. Her brother and I are in our
- 53:56Speaker 5: mid forties and we have been friends since the eighth grade.
- 54:00Speaker 5: I never had these kinds of feelings for his sister
- 54:02Speaker 5: when we were young, so I need to be clear
- 54:04Speaker 5: about that up front.
- 54:05Speaker 1: How should this go?
- 54:06Speaker 5: Should we do it together or should I talk to
- 54:08Speaker 5: her brother alone first? Please advise? All right, So my
- 54:12Speaker 5: answer is going to be sure, because I don't really
- 54:14Speaker 5: see a major problem here. Are you really afraid of
- 54:18Speaker 5: her brother? I mean, someone you've been friends with since
- 54:22Speaker 5: the eighth grade? That should be all the more reason
- 54:25Speaker 5: for you to tell him straight up you love his sister.
- 54:28Speaker 5: I know it's his sister, but you guys are no
- 54:31Speaker 5: longer in elementary in high school, and his sister's a
- 54:34Speaker 5: grown woman. Now she's free to come and go and
- 54:37Speaker 5: date and love whoever she pleases, even if it's you.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Do you have a reputation of being like a bad
- 54:44Speaker 1: boy or a player or something?
- 54:46Speaker 5: Or does he have a rev putting his hands on
- 54:49Speaker 5: all the guys that his sister dates, Because if not,
- 54:54Speaker 5: you know, put your big boy pants on.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Go tell them what's up.
- 54:58Speaker 6: Just go tell them.
- 54:58Speaker 5: I think she will respect the love you more if
- 55:00Speaker 5: you man up and just go by yourself and don't
- 55:03Speaker 5: bring her One question though, I get that he's six ' six,
- 55:08Speaker 5: he's a big guy. He likes to fight and all that.
- 55:10Speaker 5: You said that, but what is your size? You did
- 55:12Speaker 5: not bring that out in the letter. You said he
- 55:15Speaker 5: likes to confront thing, confront people over the smallest stuff.
- 55:20Speaker 1: So what is your size? You failed to mention that?
- 55:24Speaker 1: Is that why you're so scared to tell him? I
- 55:27Speaker 1: just say look at it this way.
- 55:28Speaker 5: The sooner you tell him, the happier shield be because
- 55:30Speaker 5: you did what you wanted her to do.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Okay, you're a little guy.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Steve Shirley read this letter as a woman.
- 55:40Speaker 7: I'm gonna read this letter as a man, and so
- 55:43Speaker 7: you can understand why this man wrote this letter. Okay,
- 55:47Speaker 7: for the past year, I've been sleeping with my best
- 55:50Speaker 7: friend's little sister right there, right there, They.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Already know you out of line. You already know y'all
- 56:00Speaker 2: already know how we are because we know each other.
- 56:07Speaker 7: If these dudes have been best friends, then they know
- 56:12Speaker 7: each other. So now, what you doing with my little
- 56:17Speaker 7: sister after I know all this about you? That's the
- 56:22Speaker 7: first problem we're dealing with. Then, he said, when I
- 56:26Speaker 7: went to college, I lost all contact with her. Because
- 56:29Speaker 7: we reconnected last year her brother's fourth to July party.
- 56:32Speaker 7: I ain't seen this woman since she was a young girl.
- 56:35Speaker 7: Oh my god, she the age like fine wine, I'm
- 56:37Speaker 7: fourteen years older than her.
- 56:40Speaker 2: But we all grown now. The Lord took his time
- 56:43Speaker 2: with that body. That evening. We caught up. Here we
- 56:47Speaker 2: go here, what the rest ever? Got real?
- 56:49Speaker 7: Jankie got caught up, had a few drinks, shared some
- 56:53Speaker 7: last night progress.
- 56:55Speaker 2: We ended up in her brother's coat closet.
- 56:58Speaker 7: Okay, all right, now, I'm gonna strongly suggest that when
- 57:04Speaker 7: you do talk to him, you definitely got to lead
- 57:06Speaker 7: that out.
- 57:08Speaker 5: Yes.
- 57:09Speaker 7: See, see the reason he wrote this letter, Shirley, because
- 57:13Speaker 7: as a man, he know I'm dealing with my best
- 57:16Speaker 7: friend who who and I been running dirt and running
- 57:18Speaker 7: women together. Now the way behind his back and got
- 57:21Speaker 7: his little sister, and I got him at the Fourth
- 57:25Speaker 7: of July party, had him in his coat clouse. See,
- 57:29Speaker 7: he can't tell none of this here, shold yeah, the
- 57:32Speaker 7: woman did things to me that I never had done
- 57:35Speaker 7: to me before. Gonna probably need to leave that part
- 57:38Speaker 7: out too, See, Shelley, that's why he nervous, because he
- 57:42Speaker 7: got all this information.
- 57:45Speaker 2: And then we come back, I'll tell you the rest
- 57:47Speaker 2: of him.
- 57:47Speaker 1: Okay, all right, thank you, Steve. We'll have part two
- 57:50Speaker 1: of Steve's response too. I'm stuck between a sister and
- 57:54Speaker 1: a brother. That is the subject of today's Strawberry Letter.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening hard morning show. Come on
- 58:02Speaker 1: steeple threecap today's Strawberry letter. The subject, I'm stuck between
- 58:06Speaker 1: a sister and a brother.
- 58:08Speaker 7: Yeah, this dude getting got itself in the jam. He
- 58:11Speaker 7: is stuck between his sister and brother. They been best friends.
- 58:14Speaker 7: He ain't seen him since college. He go back to
- 58:16Speaker 7: his friends Fourth of July party and his young sister
- 58:20Speaker 7: is there, and now she got a banging body and
- 58:23Speaker 7: all that they didn't have some drinks and some laughs.
- 58:26Speaker 2: They wind up in the closet together. Now two things.
- 58:32Speaker 7: It's your best friends little sister, you know, and you
- 58:38Speaker 7: had her in the clause his closet at his house,
- 58:44Speaker 7: and then she did some things you you ain't never
- 58:46Speaker 7: had done before. You got to leave all this information out.
- 58:50Speaker 7: I don't know why you wrote it in the damn letter.
- 58:55Speaker 7: I hope you hear this letter.
- 58:57Speaker 8: I don't.
- 58:58Speaker 7: Now we've become increasing close and we talked about taking
- 59:01Speaker 7: it to the next step. She said, it's utmost important
- 59:05Speaker 7: that we go about this the right way and tell
- 59:08Speaker 7: her brother about us.
- 59:10Speaker 4: Now.
- 59:11Speaker 7: The problem is her brother six six bodybuilder that is
- 59:16Speaker 7: very protective of as his sister.
- 59:18Speaker 2: And he's a hot head.
- 59:20Speaker 7: Okay, so now right here you scared, Yeah, yeah, and
- 59:25Speaker 7: Sureley and sherely ain't no, are you scared? He's scared. Yes,
- 59:30Speaker 7: he's scared, and I'm gonna tell you why in a minute.
- 59:33Speaker 7: Because of its size. He's always ready for a confrontation
- 59:37Speaker 7: over the smallest stuff. Well this ain't small though. See
- 59:43Speaker 7: you done got behind his back. He gonna say you
- 59:46Speaker 7: snuck behind his back and you got his little sister.
- 59:52Speaker 7: That's what you's fitting to deal with. Now, Hold up,
- 59:59Speaker 7: our person never had to disagree with him in all
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: these years, and we've been friends. So I'm skeptical of
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: telling him face to face because.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: I don't want to clash with him. Oh, it ain't
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: the clash you worried about. It's that ass whooping you in.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I ain't the clash.
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: It ain't got nothing to do with the clash, homie,
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: What does it have to do with It's that ass.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Whipping you scared to take it? Ry keyword clash ass
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: That's all this is.
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: But I really love his sister, and it's been almost
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: a year and the sneaking around is getting old, and
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: I hope he can process the information in a mature manner.
- 1:00:47Speaker 13: He ain't.
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: He can't.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: He's six ' six here bodybuilding. What bodybuilding?
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: You know other than Lee Hainey know how to process
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: information in a sensible fashion.

- 1:01:18Speaker 7: Her brother and I are in our mid forties and
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: we have been friends since the eighth grade.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: You already know you're getting your ass with now you
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: already too. Yeah, you haven seen him jump on a
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: lot of people. That's why you're scared.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: Now, I never had these kind of feelings for his
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: sister when we were young, so I need to be
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: clear about that up front.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: How should this go?
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: Well, I know how it should go, but now you
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: know how it's gonna go, and that's what you're scared about.
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: So now should we do it together? That's another scary
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: ass statement.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: See, you need protection. That ain't how you do it.

- 1:08:47Speaker 7: look in the mirror. That not the problem we have problem. Obviously,
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: he ain't tall enough to look in the mirror, so.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: You don't know what happened.
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: You need put stepstools in front of the damn mill
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: so you start getting a real view what's going on.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: But it didn't say height.
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: It said the men are insecure about their weight and
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: how their eyes look.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Those are among the toller my eyes.
- 1:09:16Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, I don't stand myself in the mirror like that.
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: But everybody got that one eye that's a little bit
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: bigger than the other one.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: What everybody got look in the mirror.
- 1:09:30Speaker 9: You got one eye bigger than the other, in your
- 1:09:32Speaker 9: left than your right eye. Both my eyes is the
- 1:09:36Speaker 9: same side. Both sorry and you and you can both
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: tell you that your left eye is bigger. If you
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: stared it close enough, it starts to look like.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: What about I know you and tell me Steve don't
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: have this problem. But the number one concern for men
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: is going gray and the pressure to look younger. I
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: got just from me, all right, okay, Now this leads
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: to this next story. Another study found that staring at
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: yourself during video calls puts.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: You in a bad mood.
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: It's called zoom gloom, and it suggests.
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: That if we focus on other faces on the screen,
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: your mood won't change. Now, this is the co According
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: to researchers, the more you stare at yourself, the worse
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: your mood gets. When you stare at yourself, the study
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: indicated that more self focus can lead to anxiety and
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: even depression.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: So have you ever looked at yourself and gotten depressed?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: That's part two? Some day, some day, If you're being
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: honest your.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm stare too long? If you're staying there, how
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: do you have these ugly moments like this all the time?
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: What's wrong?
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Tell me what your say?
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: How did they had these ugly moments all the time.
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: I'm understanding how much you and how you have such
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: denial though moments, your ability to sit here on this
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: zoom and I'm looking dead at you, going how.
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: You don't see what we all seeurdy? What do you
- 1:11:20Speaker 9: see on zoom when you're looking at me?
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: What do you say?
- 1:11:23Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: Man, I gotta go tell me I'm sorry when we

- 1:13:45Speaker 10: This is what I think that when Juneteenth happened. This
- 1:13:48Speaker 10: is what I think they were thinking. And I had
- 1:13:51Speaker 10: to get in that mindset. So here we go this
- 1:13:54Speaker 10: what is called Juneteenth. June Tank, Jue Tank, Jille tank.
- 1:14:00Speaker 10: The secret was never told that.
- 1:14:03Speaker 13: Slavery had ended two years before. Now to me, that's
- 1:14:07Speaker 13: kind of bowl. Joe tan't Joe tain't Joe Tank.
- 1:14:11Speaker 10: We're still in the field picking cotton when they knew,
- 1:14:14Speaker 10: damn well we was free.
- 1:14:16Speaker 13: If you think that's kind of ritten. Joe Tink, Joe
- 1:14:19Speaker 13: Dan't Joe Tink. How the hell you keep a secret
- 1:14:23Speaker 13: like that? The only reason you could hold us down
- 1:14:26Speaker 13: because you were standing on our backs.
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: June tin' Jue tin't June tink. It's the day we celebrate.
- 1:14:32Speaker 10: But it's one thing I know for sure. You can
- 1:14:35Speaker 10: never get good news too late.
- 1:14:37Speaker 13: Joe Tink, John Tink, Joe Tink.
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: The end.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: I'm touching my right, and I don't even know if.
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: That was.
- 1:14:52Speaker 15: Ju ju.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: They was running through the city.
- 1:14:56Speaker 13: They was running through the city, spreading the news.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: That's how I got you this for father, Listen to.
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: Listen to that.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: I don't all feel free right now.
- 1:15:12Speaker 13: You want to thank you, just daddy, Paul.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: This is what I call this. This is father fathers,
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: And I don't want to.
- 1:15:24Speaker 13: Tommy.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: I'm out, I'm out.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I don't want some poet.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: I got it.

- 1:15:41Speaker 13: honor you this way, Oh Daddy, Daddy, Daddy.
- 1:15:45Speaker 10: I just like to say, Daddy, daddy, daddy, I like
- 1:15:48Speaker 10: to take this man to send you some heartfelt words,
- 1:15:51Speaker 10: and some of them may ryme. Oh Daddy, dad daddy,
- 1:15:55Speaker 10: you don't sound much for me. I like how you
- 1:15:58Speaker 10: stand up to be a man, and you taught me
- 1:15:59Speaker 10: how to correct way to pee. Dadda Dada, daddy, Oh father,
- 1:16:03Speaker 10: pops in mind. I forgive you for saying you were

- 1:16:14Speaker 10: send you a cart on. The problem is I don't
- 1:16:17Speaker 10: know where you live.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: The end, Yes, the end, Daddy.
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: One more time.
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: All right, coming up, it's Steve Harvey and his closing remarks.
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: You don't want to miss it.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: At forty nine after the hour. You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: All right, Steve, here we are last break of the
- 1:16:42Speaker 5: day and it's time for your closing remarks.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:47Speaker 7: I just want to encourage everybody. Look, I know that
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: life gets tough sometimes it really does for all of us.
- 1:16:58Speaker 7: A point I learned a long time ago, entitled don't quit.
- 1:17:02Speaker 7: They don't have the they don't know the author of
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: the poem has always been entitled author or known. Certainly
- 1:17:11Speaker 7: I didn't write it, but it's a poem called don't Quit.
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: It just reminded me so much of something I think
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: I'll say it tonight, but I wanted to tell you
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: what made me think about it. Somebody sent me a
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: quote from Winston Churchhill today. Somebody sent me this one today.
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: And what the quote is is that success consists of
- 1:17:41Speaker 7: going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. Let
- 1:17:49Speaker 7: me say that to you again. Success consists of going
- 1:17:55Speaker 7: from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. I thought
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: about this and I said, wow, you know what, that's
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: really how you become successful. You just go from failure
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: to fail you and just never lose your enthusiasm. Somebody said, Steve,
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: that's hard, and I said, yeah, it is hard. I
- 1:18:19Speaker 7: wish I could tell you to be successful wasn't hard.
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: But it's hard.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: It really really is. There is no easy way to
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: become successful. It's hard.
- 1:18:31Speaker 11: Now.
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: I can tell you some ways. You can short circuit it,
- 1:18:34Speaker 7: you can mess it up for yourself. I can tell
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: you a lot of those. But to get successful, you've
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: got to be extremely determined. You've got to be pretty
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: much hell been on making it happen. But I tell you, man,
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: what can get you there? Well, I tell you what
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: causes you to get there. You got to have the
- 1:18:58Speaker 7: right motivation. The best motivation to be successful is to
- 1:19:04Speaker 7: have massive dreams. And I'm talking about massive dreams. You've
- 1:19:10Speaker 7: got to have huge dreams. That's the best way to
- 1:19:14Speaker 7: get there. Because what it is, and what happened to
- 1:19:18Speaker 7: me along the way, was my dreams were so big
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: that not seeing them to come to fruition was unacceptable.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: I just couldn't see.
- 1:19:30Speaker 7: Myself not at least giving my all to see if
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: it could happen, or if that couldn't happen, Man, could
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: I just get a portion of that to happen? So
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: what happened was I made my dreams so so big man,
- 1:19:47Speaker 7: that along the way, with mishaps and setbacks and trials
- 1:19:51Speaker 7: and troubles and hardships and death and remorse and guilt
- 1:19:57Speaker 7: and everything was facing me, I never lost my enthusiasm
- 1:20:03Speaker 7: for wanting to make it, because I just wanted so
- 1:20:07Speaker 7: desperately for one of these dreams to come true. So
- 1:20:13Speaker 7: I really do understand when he said success consist of
- 1:20:15Speaker 7: going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. And
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: it's the size of the dream that keeps you from
- 1:20:21Speaker 7: having to lose your enthusiasm.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: Because I just kept thinking, man, like.
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: My father used to always tell me, aim for the moon,
- 1:20:28Speaker 7: so in case you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: And it led me to something that's more.
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: Telling that said more frequently more or recently, I learned
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: one that came to me when it was time to
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: talk about giving up.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: He said, the problem ain't that you aim too high
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: and you miss it. The problem is if you aim
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: too low and you hit it.
- 1:20:53Speaker 7: Let your mind go, think of big things, open up
- 1:20:58Speaker 7: your heart and your to the possibilities of God. Stop
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: living your life in probability and start living your life
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: in possibilities. I'll tell you what I mean by that.
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: When people look at something and they base it around
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: the probability of it happening, that's a problem because what
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: you're saying then is the probability of something is to me,
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: that just means it probably won't happen if this happens,
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: or you probably won't make it if that happens, or
- 1:21:37Speaker 7: it probably won't come true if you don't line up
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: this way, or you know, you probably might not make it.
- 1:21:43Speaker 7: If these people don't sign on to it, you probably
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: won't make it. If that, that, to me is living
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: in the probability. You know, what's the what's the factors
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: that blend into the probability of something occurring. But if
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: you just change that and you went from the probability
- 1:22:03Speaker 7: to purely the possibility. See, I only look at life
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: in terms of the possibility. I have people who work
- 1:22:10Speaker 7: for me who do probability factoring for me all the time.
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: Some of the advice I end up taking from them.
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: The majority of I don't because I don't care who
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: works for me. They can't out dream me, and they
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: don't have an idea of my vision for me better
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: than I do or God does. So I stop living
- 1:22:29Speaker 7: my life in terms of probability and I started living
- 1:22:32Speaker 7: my life in terms of possibility. I only care about
- 1:22:35Speaker 7: the possibility. The probability will present itself along the way,
- 1:22:40Speaker 7: but you just got to stay focused on the possibility.
- 1:22:44Speaker 7: Faith don't make it easy. Faith makes it possible. And
- 1:22:49Speaker 7: that's guided me the whole time. Get your dreams up, y'all,
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: make them big man. Let God into your life. Man,
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: he can do some damage with you. He can do
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: a lot of damage for you. I mean that in
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: a good wait. Y'all have a great WEEKI.
