- 1:47Speaker 5: the mony.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Yo, look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 6: Come out your thing.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
- 2:06Speaker 2: listening to the voice, come on dig me now. One
- 2:09Speaker 2: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Oh man, oh man?
- 2:15Speaker 2: How many times I got to say that before I
- 2:17Speaker 2: get tired of it. I think it's gonna be a minute, folks.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I gotta be real with you, because boy, that's Steve Harvey,
- 2:25Speaker 2: got a radio show man. Clear indication of how God
- 2:31Speaker 2: can do some unexpected, wonderful things for you, how he
- 2:36Speaker 2: leads your life in directions that you never ever saw coming.
- 2:39Speaker 7: You know.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I was talking with somebody the other day and they
- 2:42Speaker 2: were talking about how man, they were young and they
- 2:45Speaker 2: were doing things, and they never knew that the things
- 2:48Speaker 2: that they were doing as a youngster would come and
- 2:53Speaker 2: help help form who they were today as an adult.
- 2:56Speaker 2: This guy is fifty years old. And you know the
- 3:00Speaker 2: same thing for you. If you look back on your
- 3:02Speaker 2: life and all of the things that you've done, it
- 3:06Speaker 2: helped shape you into who you are now. This is
- 3:10Speaker 2: provided now that you take the positive approach. Now when
- 3:14Speaker 2: I say look back at your life and see what
- 3:16Speaker 2: you've done, that doesn't mean dwell on the misfortunate moments,
- 3:20Speaker 2: because the misfortunate moments were necessary.
- 3:23Speaker 6: I know it.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It's hard to see that when it's happening to you,
- 3:26Speaker 2: but the unfortunate moments are necessary. You know, what really
- 3:31Speaker 2: makes you appreciate summer vacation is winter work. What really
- 3:37Speaker 2: makes you appreciate a walk on the beach is when
- 3:39Speaker 2: it's cold.
- 3:40Speaker 6: Is rain in our side.
- 3:42Speaker 2: What really makes you appreciate when you're up, it's because
- 3:47Speaker 2: you've been down. See if you were up all the time,
- 3:51Speaker 2: just the nature of us as human beings, we would
- 3:54Speaker 2: lose our appreciation for it because it becomes case arrah.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Whatever it is, what it is, what it is.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I'm just what you take it for granted, it becomes expected.
- 4:05Speaker 2: But what happens in life is it has so many
- 4:07Speaker 2: twisting turns, and then you learn how to deal with
- 4:11Speaker 2: those twisting turns, which makes you now a more experienced person.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And then when the sunny days come, man, you go, wow,
- 4:17Speaker 2: it's really nice outside. You really want to appreciate how
- 4:21Speaker 2: warm weather. Just stay in a bunch of cold weather
- 4:23Speaker 2: all the time. You know what I'm saying. I'm just
- 4:26Speaker 2: this is really simple and now allowing the analogies, but
- 4:29Speaker 2: it helps you along the way. Now here's what I
- 4:32Speaker 2: came to say today to everybody out there.
- 4:35Speaker 6: And this has helped me in my life.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I can't tell you what it's done for me, but
- 4:41Speaker 2: a lot of people are struggling with moving forward with
- 4:45Speaker 2: their future. Their future plans, their future goals, their future aspirations,
- 4:52Speaker 2: their future hopes, their future dreams, just simply your future wants.
- 4:59Speaker 6: A lot of people try.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I have a hard time mapping out their future, even
- 5:04Speaker 2: what I'm gonna do, what I'm gonna be, what I'm
- 5:07Speaker 2: gonna make, how I'm or go about it?
- 5:09Speaker 6: What do I do next? I want to share something
- 5:12Speaker 6: with you that I had.
- 5:13Speaker 2: To come to terms with the quickest way to lose
- 5:17Speaker 2: focus on your future is to keep focusing on your past.
- 5:22Speaker 6: You know, It's like I said at the beginning.
- 5:24Speaker 2: You know, when I say It's wonderful to look at
- 5:27Speaker 2: your life and review it, because if you look at it,
- 5:30Speaker 2: it'll tell you it really helped shape inform you today
- 5:35Speaker 2: as the person you are now. If you look at
- 5:38Speaker 2: it in a positive sense. But if you dwell in
- 5:41Speaker 2: harp on the negative that's happened to you, then that
- 5:45Speaker 2: keeps you from seeing the good in the incident. Every
- 5:48Speaker 2: bad thing that's happened to you, that was a silver
- 5:51Speaker 2: lining behind it.
- 5:52Speaker 6: I know people who were on.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Drugs who finally, man just got sent to prison for
- 5:57Speaker 2: stealing because of their habit had sold dope. Well, he
- 6:02Speaker 2: went to prison. He told me one time, he says Steve.
- 6:05Speaker 2: He said, man, this is the best thing ever happened
- 6:07Speaker 2: to me to save my life. Now, most people would think,
- 6:11Speaker 2: how in the world is going to prison helpful for you?
- 6:14Speaker 2: The brother said, it saved my life. First of all,
- 6:18Speaker 2: it got me clean. He said, I've been clean for
- 6:21Speaker 2: five years from sitting in here. That's for starters. I'm clean.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I ain't stealing no more. I ain't putting myself in jeopardy,
- 6:29Speaker 2: and I ain't jeopardizing nobody else.
- 6:31Speaker 6: He said.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Now, man, I done went to college. I done got
- 6:34Speaker 2: a college degree. While I'm in here. Then he was
- 6:37Speaker 2: released from prison, and the brother's life was completely turned around.
- 6:42Speaker 2: He married, he got a family, he got a great job.
- 6:46Speaker 2: He go to work every day. He's a productive citizen.
- 6:49Speaker 6: I mean.
- 6:50Speaker 2: So he looks back on his incarceration, even his drug abuse,
- 6:56Speaker 2: and it taught him how to appreciate the things in
- 6:59Speaker 2: life he had taken for granted and was missing because
- 7:02Speaker 2: he said, man, my life was just in a blur.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I didn't even know what was going on. He said,
- 7:07Speaker 2: Now I appreciate every day I wake up. That's what
- 7:10Speaker 2: I mean. Even in your missteps in life, there is
- 7:14Speaker 2: a purpose for the missteps.
- 7:16Speaker 6: Every time you fail, there was a reason for the failure.
- 7:20Speaker 6: See what I.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Had to do was I had to learn that all
- 7:23Speaker 2: of my failures taught me how to get back up.
- 7:27Speaker 2: So I became a very strong and tough person in
- 7:30Speaker 2: getting back up. And then I was down and out
- 7:33Speaker 2: so long that it taught me how to really appreciate
- 7:37Speaker 2: that up. And so I've taken all of that and
- 7:40Speaker 2: used it. Those experiences that happened to me, and I
- 7:44Speaker 2: became a more experienced person.
- 7:46Speaker 6: So next time when.
- 7:48Speaker 2: People talk about me who don't know me, it don't
- 7:51Speaker 2: shake me, cause everybody not gonna like you. Man, you
- 7:54Speaker 2: might as well go and get on this train right now.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And so what I'm saying to you out there is
- 8:00Speaker 2: the quickest way to lose focus on your future is
- 8:03Speaker 2: to keep focusing on your past. Let it go. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 2: he left. Sometimes the breakup is the blessing. I know
- 8:11Speaker 2: it's hard to break up because now you're loaning you
- 8:13Speaker 2: by yourself. But man, but wasn't you in misery when
- 8:16Speaker 2: you was in that? Weren't you in complete misery in that?
- 8:21Speaker 2: Now you kept asking God to fix it. But it
- 8:24Speaker 2: takes two people to fix a relationship. It don't just
- 8:26Speaker 2: take one. It take two to make a thing go right.
- 8:31Speaker 2: It take two to make it out of sight. You
- 8:34Speaker 2: really do have to have two people wanting a relationship
- 8:37Speaker 2: to work. It can't just be one person won a relationship.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So you can pray about the relationship all you want.
- 8:42Speaker 2: If the other person don't want you no more, it
- 8:45Speaker 2: ain't gonna act right. You can't make him do that.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Oh you can't make her do that. But you steady
- 8:51Speaker 2: asking God for a new relationship. But you are yet
- 8:56Speaker 2: to be grateful that you are in a position to
- 8:59Speaker 2: have a relationship. And you keep harping on the past.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You don't think you hear that. I'm just a dude
- 9:05Speaker 2: with a show and I hear it all the time.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Let it go, go forward.
- 9:09Speaker 6: It's over.
- 9:11Speaker 2: You made it, He bought you through it, you conquered,
- 9:15Speaker 2: you survived it. Why are you dwelling on it and
- 9:19Speaker 2: making it the cross around your neck when clearly he
- 9:23Speaker 2: had removed it for you.
- 9:25Speaker 6: Now, all you got to do is come on.
- 9:27Speaker 2: So if you sitting behind them walls, brothers and sisters,
- 9:30Speaker 2: I'm talking directly to you sometimes. Man, you just got
- 9:33Speaker 2: to get it right. All this repeat of fender business,
- 9:36Speaker 2: that's for?
- 9:37Speaker 6: Who is that for?
- 9:38Speaker 2: How ignorant can you be to keep giving your life
- 9:42Speaker 2: back to the penal system? Be free, man, walk the streets,
- 9:46Speaker 2: do the right thing. Ask God to help connect you.
- 9:48Speaker 2: He could do anything. You think he can't give you
- 9:51Speaker 2: a job? Are you serious?
- 9:52Speaker 8: Man?
- 9:53Speaker 6: Put some faith on it. Let's move forward, y'all. Let
- 9:55Speaker 6: it go.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Let's move you.
- 9:59Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, your undivided attention is needed right now.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I have a special announcement to me. It is the
- 10:09Speaker 2: beginning of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Which means there
- 10:13Speaker 2: will be an abundance of ignorance, some serious laughter today
- 10:17Speaker 2: because I've decided that today that Steve Harvey is gonna
- 10:22Speaker 2: go vintage Steve Harvey vintage, which means all the clo
- 10:30Speaker 2: questions anything directly with me, I will be delivering an
- 10:35Speaker 2: answer in the form of ignorance.
- 10:39Speaker 8: We're gonna get fired.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Which means, you know this is gonna be funny to
- 10:44Speaker 2: me even if it ain't to you. And I have
- 10:46Speaker 2: a high level of sense of humor, I happen to
- 10:48Speaker 2: know what is funny. Now, if you touch it, probably
- 10:51Speaker 2: need to turn your radio today. Touch your people, turn
- 10:54Speaker 2: your radio because it's about to pop off. It's about
- 10:57Speaker 2: to pop off.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Time you hit.
- 10:58Speaker 10: It, It's about the to pop the pop off.
- 11:03Speaker 6: Won't he do it? JR?
- 11:10Speaker 2: That's what's gonna be happening today. Warning Shirley Strawberry.
- 11:15Speaker 11: Hey, good morning Steve. Thanks for the warning. Thanks call
- 11:18Speaker 11: learning for real.
- 11:20Speaker 12: I'm ready, I guess good morning again, JR.
- 11:28Speaker 10: Yayyyy, Tommy, one more time, were about to pop the
- 11:34Speaker 10: pop the pop off?
- 11:39Speaker 2: Now what you have been worn? Welcome to the ride. Yeah, yeah,

- 11:47Speaker 2: with James Thomas on the Y.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Man. All right, well Thursday, y'all scared, y' all I
- 11:57Speaker 6: want to talk.
- 11:58Speaker 11: About No, No, I'm not. I'm myself.
- 12:03Speaker 7: Yeah, because if I know what vintage Steve Harvey is, I.
- 12:08Speaker 11: Know it's embarrassing. That's what it is.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You know, And that's that's a good thing. Sometimes you
- 12:18Speaker 2: need that in your life, some embarrassing moment. My mama
- 12:21Speaker 2: used to tell me that when we go to church,
- 12:23Speaker 2: don't embarrass me. And I sit my ass right over
- 12:26Speaker 2: there and do it, mouth full of candy, spit it out,
- 12:33Speaker 2: laughing at the visiting past. I didn't think nobody could preach,
- 12:40Speaker 2: but Bishop James L. Harton anybody else was a comedy
- 12:44Speaker 2: routine to be here. That was just came, he snorted.
- 12:48Speaker 6: I believe a god I would one day come back.
- 12:53Speaker 2: We would all be in the health and we all
- 12:55Speaker 2: you know, we're right, boy Floyd the ho was that.
- 13:00Speaker 6: The third snort? Paul Walker and butcher boy cousin.
- 13:08Speaker 2: We was leaving on E show to laugh and I
- 13:10Speaker 2: had so much cand here my mom. You know, I
- 13:12Speaker 2: was trying to keep my mouth prosing of chewing candy
- 13:14Speaker 2: so my mama couldn't see our head, candid juice all
- 13:19Speaker 2: down and crack of Mama. I was dripping on my suit,
- 13:24Speaker 2: was laughing so hard.
- 13:26Speaker 11: My embarrassed her. She asked you not to. All right, listen,
- 13:33Speaker 11: we got to move on, sir.
- 13:35Speaker 7: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll

- 14:19Speaker 10: Everything fine, Well, I got a little issue and I'm
- 14:22Speaker 10: trying to get to the bottom of it.
- 14:24Speaker 8: Now.
- 14:24Speaker 10: You work in the before service start. You work in
- 14:28Speaker 10: the parking lot on and yeah yeah, and you tell
- 14:32Speaker 10: people where the park and stuff right right, right, what.
- 14:35Speaker 13: You looking for some employment? You want to you want

- 15:09Speaker 10: you and I find out who you were, but you
- 15:13Speaker 10: keep sending me to the back of the parking lot.
- 15:16Speaker 10: And then but you know I noticed, now, no, brother,
- 15:19Speaker 10: not on the real So you sending me to the back,
- 15:21Speaker 10: and I'm noticing when I see cars that's like two ten,
- 15:24Speaker 10: twenty fifteen cars.
- 15:26Speaker 13: Well, brother, well listen, we don't have no set place
- 15:30Speaker 13: where we put model car. You know, I just direct
- 15:33Speaker 13: the traffic.
- 15:33Speaker 10: Brother, Okay, So so you're trying to tell me. For
- 15:36Speaker 10: the last two months, you just direct traffic. But you
- 15:39Speaker 10: got but you directed me to the back every time.
- 15:41Speaker 10: But a car behind me or a car in front
- 15:44Speaker 10: of me, it'll be going to the front.
- 15:46Speaker 13: Now where you getting this information from me?
- 15:50Speaker 10: I didn't seen you man or send people to the
- 15:52Speaker 10: front to park. I hadn't seen you do.
- 15:54Speaker 13: No. No, I just I just put you know, the
- 15:56Speaker 13: bigger vehicles in the in the back and uh certain
- 16:02Speaker 13: you know it's really no schedule if if you come in,
- 16:05Speaker 13: I just I just direct you to the right of
- 16:07Speaker 13: the left. It's really nothing to it.
- 16:09Speaker 10: Really, So you're not trying to say so my my
- 16:12Speaker 10: van being raggedy ain't the reason why I'm.
- 16:14Speaker 13: Be No, no, no, no, no, no, that's not what
- 16:18Speaker 13: we're about. Now, Okay, I'm sorry you feel that way.

- 16:44Speaker 10: No, it is serious. See what already know. I know
- 16:47Speaker 10: I got a ragged ass van.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I know that.
- 16:49Speaker 10: I know that, but I see that's the reason why
- 16:51Speaker 10: I'm getting sent to the back. And I know it
- 16:52Speaker 10: because the car I had before y'all were sending me
- 16:55Speaker 10: up front.

- 16:57Speaker 10: I'm telling you right now, Brendan, I'm telling you right now,

- 20:50Speaker 7: Time Now for Usk the Clo. This one is from
- 20:54Speaker 7: Frida in Jacksonville. I'm a twenty eight year old single woman,
- 20:59Speaker 7: free to set and a man that lives in my
- 21:02Speaker 7: apartment complex invited me to game night at his place.
- 21:06Speaker 7: It was just the two of us and we played
- 21:08Speaker 7: Uno and drank a lot of tequila. The rules were,
- 21:12Speaker 7: whoever loses has to take off, you know, a piece
- 21:15Speaker 7: of clothes. Okay, I lost two games and I ended
- 21:20Speaker 7: up in my panties and my bra. When it got late,
- 21:24Speaker 7: he told me to get dressed so he could walk
- 21:26Speaker 7: me home. Nothing happened, not even a kiss on the cheek.
- 21:31Speaker 7: Was he turned off by me?
- 21:32Speaker 11: Or was he being a gentleman?
- 21:35Speaker 2: Well, let's talk about a couple days. They're I don't know, naked,
- 21:54Speaker 2: and you're sitting up in brown panties. He made up
- 22:00Speaker 2: rule yeah, and when you took all your clothes off,
- 22:04Speaker 2: he said, all right, that's it.
- 22:07Speaker 6: Put everything on.
- 22:10Speaker 1: You're pretty nice, Seela, see you some all the time.
- 22:16Speaker 6: Well, let me ask you something.
- 22:19Speaker 2: When you pulled your clothes off of you completely comfortable.
- 22:25Speaker 11: At least she sounds like she was Steve.
- 22:28Speaker 7: She was really Yeah, she said I lost two games
- 22:31Speaker 7: and I ended up in my panties in bra.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Okay, Well she didn't say if he lost any games.
- 22:39Speaker 2: So let's just look at this. Let's take the road
- 22:41Speaker 2: that I think. It depends if you're twenty eight, it
- 22:46Speaker 2: depends on how old he is, If he over forty,
- 22:51Speaker 2: it's game. Yeah, he played you and you just gonna
- 22:56Speaker 2: he just gonna see where it would go. And he
- 22:58Speaker 2: playing it. Now, next come on there and you take
- 23:02Speaker 2: them off.
- 23:02Speaker 6: I can't tell you.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I can't promise you nothing, nothing to that if you
- 23:06Speaker 2: come back up in there, if I invite you the
- 23:08Speaker 2: game night again, and yeah, sure we ain't got to
- 23:10Speaker 2: play no cards this time.
- 23:12Speaker 6: All to be seeing one of them, that could be it.
- 23:16Speaker 7: Well, she sounded like she was disappointed. Nothing happened, not
- 23:20Speaker 7: even a kiss on the cheek.
- 23:22Speaker 6: Well, you know.
- 23:24Speaker 2: You just I haven't seen you, so only you can
- 23:27Speaker 2: answer this question. But you could send us when you
- 23:31Speaker 2: saw yourself sitting if you was him and you saw
- 23:35Speaker 2: you sitting over there in some panties and a brawl
- 23:38Speaker 2: twenty eight, what would you do twenty eight?
- 23:44Speaker 11: At twenty eight.
- 23:46Speaker 1: This sounds like it was really naked and afraid.
- 23:49Speaker 8: It really do sound.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Like when I was twenty eight, I wouldn't have given
- 23:53Speaker 2: a damn what you look like it would have been.
- 23:56Speaker 2: I would have felt obligated at this point your duty.
- 24:01Speaker 2: This looks like something I must do.
- 24:04Speaker 11: But how is she not fine at twenty eight?
- 24:06Speaker 8: Though?
- 24:08Speaker 11: Twenty eight? Twenty eight?
- 24:10Speaker 2: Some people ain't fine at Shirley, Shirley. When you graduated,
- 24:14Speaker 2: you was about eighteen, as all of.
- 24:16Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 2: When you went to your ten year reunion, did you
- 24:21Speaker 2: not go what the hell?
- 24:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, holy hell?
- 24:27Speaker 11: At ten years years?
- 24:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Lloyd Freeman.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Looking a mess.
- 24:40Speaker 6: Lloyd had full teeth missing in the front, all the top.
- 24:45Speaker 10: Just ten years later, I'm going to tell you ain't
- 24:48Speaker 10: get no tea for the reunion.
- 24:56Speaker 7: Lauren in the DMV says, I'm in my mid thirty
- 25:00Speaker 7: and I'm dating a fine man I met at church.
- 25:03Speaker 7: We're both in the choir, and I had a question
- 25:05Speaker 7: on him for a while, but then I heard he
- 25:07Speaker 7: wasn't interested in females. Well, he asked me out a
- 25:11Speaker 7: few months ago, and now we're dating. Other choir members
- 25:14Speaker 7: give me the side eye when they see us together,
- 25:16Speaker 7: and it makes me unsure about my man. We've had sex,
- 25:19Speaker 7: so I know he's into me, But how can I
- 25:21Speaker 7: tell if he's got other interests too?
- 25:24Speaker 6: Well, everybody else knows you. That's it.
- 25:29Speaker 8: Yeah, we're not preaching to the choir.
- 25:31Speaker 6: You in the choir and who looking at you?
- 25:36Speaker 11: Side?
- 25:37Speaker 15: Ay?
- 25:38Speaker 11: All right now, choir members.
- 25:40Speaker 6: Yeah, you know he.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Might be changing his ways, but he picked you to
- 25:45Speaker 2: change with. Should it could have happened?
- 25:51Speaker 7: Well? Mo and Gary Indiana says, I'm a forty four
- 25:55Speaker 7: year old married woman and I need to know why
- 25:57Speaker 7: my husband's underwear disappearing. He had started going back to
- 26:02Speaker 7: the gym after work and when he gets home, he
- 26:04Speaker 7: drops his clothes on the floor and he takes a shower.
- 26:07Speaker 7: I've been picking up this man's clothes and washing them
- 26:10Speaker 7: for nine years, and I can't figure out why some
- 26:14Speaker 7: days there's no underwear on the floor or in his
- 26:16Speaker 7: gym bag. My intuition says, something strange is going on,
- 26:20Speaker 7: and he's hiding his underwear from me.
- 26:23Speaker 2: What do you think no one or two things can
- 26:26Speaker 2: be happening. I have taken off a pair of draws. Yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 2: in my life.
- 26:33Speaker 8: Here we go.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Well, I had to immediately take out back, tell them
- 26:41Speaker 2: and start a fire.
- 26:46Speaker 6: And get them draws off flame.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I knew he held well not to put them in
- 26:53Speaker 2: my mama washing machine. Yeah, but I was gonna spawn
- 26:57Speaker 2: all the clothes in the water. Can't run up and
- 27:03Speaker 2: down the floor playing basketball.
- 27:07Speaker 6: Them things, and that would would ruin some things.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Now the other other time, back in my wild days
- 27:15Speaker 2: when I was wild, and yeah, some of them draws
- 27:18Speaker 2: couldn't come back to the house.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Either, because it just ever did.
- 27:27Speaker 14: It?
- 27:29Speaker 16: You know?
- 27:29Speaker 6: Telling what's on these draws?
- 27:31Speaker 10: Running that blue light over that.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I can't explain nothing on these draws, hand prints, make up?
- 27:52Speaker 6: Yeah, what is this stuff? I could not so Chamber
- 27:58Speaker 6: two things.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Are you either working out really hard he's embarrassed or
- 28:02Speaker 2: he's working out real hard and he's in bad.

- 37:12Speaker 8: And there's some people just not knowing it was them.
- 37:18Speaker 6: I can't wait. This is another. Ain't gonna finish the
- 37:21Speaker 6: day out right here?
- 37:24Speaker 4: All right?
- 37:25Speaker 11: Last one?
- 37:25Speaker 7: Would you rather have a constant sinus headache? Constant sinus
- 37:30Speaker 7: headache or constant itching down there?
- 37:36Speaker 16: I'm just I'm just gonna be stopped up all the
- 37:39Speaker 16: way stopped up. No sis headache. No, well, I'm just
- 37:44Speaker 16: I'm gonna just be digging. Damn you can dig and
- 37:48Speaker 16: I help dog. I'm talking about look.
- 37:50Speaker 6: At making eye contact?
- 37:51Speaker 1: What you want that.
- 37:56Speaker 11: You're listening?
- 37:58Speaker 9: Morning show time?
- 38:00Speaker 7: Now to check Steve's voicemail. If you want to leave
- 38:02Speaker 7: Steve a message, call him eight seven seven twenty nine.
- 38:05Speaker 11: Steve. All right, So Steve.
- 38:07Speaker 7: Recently we talked about the new dating term on the
- 38:10Speaker 7: dating apps called ethical non monogamy you guys remember that
- 38:14Speaker 7: from the other day. It's a practice of having a
- 38:17Speaker 7: closer sexual relationship where both parties consent to the infidelity.
- 38:21Speaker 7: In other words, I'll tell you that I'm married and
- 38:23Speaker 7: you agree to sleep with me anyway, Swinging, open relationships,
- 38:27Speaker 7: all that polyamory all fall under the umbrella of ethical
- 38:31Speaker 7: non monogamy. So we have a caller that left a
- 38:34Speaker 7: message about our discussion on the subject.
- 38:37Speaker 9: Take a listen, So y'all.
- 38:39Speaker 15: Are talking about ethical non monogamy and call them at cheating.
- 38:43Speaker 15: And I'm going to let y'all know right now you're
- 38:45Speaker 15: very much showing your age.
- 38:48Speaker 14: Just in times of it all.
- 38:51Speaker 15: If you don't want to do it, then don't but
- 38:54Speaker 15: call us I'm cheating and changing the terms, because again,
- 38:58Speaker 15: what is monogony monogymy saying partnership ethical nominogamy? You're saying
- 39:04Speaker 15: that you don't want now is it something that I
- 39:06Speaker 15: want to do? So I get jealous? I don't feel
- 39:09Speaker 15: like sharing. Is it something that I almost to hear
- 39:12Speaker 15: in clowns because I don't want to do it? Now
- 39:14Speaker 15: I understanding that it's just not for me. Y'all are
- 39:17Speaker 15: very much showing your age and insisting that something is cheating.
- 39:21Speaker 15: When you are open with your partner and discussing the
- 39:24Speaker 15: fact that neither of you want to just be with
- 39:28Speaker 15: one person is not cheating. Not the first time I
- 39:32Speaker 15: saw something that I don't understand, probably not gonna be
- 39:35Speaker 15: the last time. But again, being ethically non monogamous means
- 39:40Speaker 15: you're quite literally let your partner know that we're not
- 39:42Speaker 15: the only people together. You both know that you both
- 39:45Speaker 15: have that agreement and.
- 39:46Speaker 4: It works for them.
- 39:48Speaker 15: If it works for them and it doesn't work for you,
- 39:50Speaker 15: leave it alone. Simple as that. Don't folk call on
- 39:53Speaker 15: something cheat and cheating.
- 39:54Speaker 3: This is not cheating.
- 39:55Speaker 15: Cheating is lies.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Cheating involves lines.
- 39:58Speaker 15: If it does not involve lighting line, it's not you.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I appreciate you calling in and telling us we're showing
- 40:04Speaker 2: our age because well we have the age to show.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Your ass is showing yours because you don't listen. The
- 40:11Speaker 2: lady that wrote the letter and called in did not
- 40:14Speaker 2: say they partner knew about it. They said that's what
- 40:19Speaker 2: they were practicing. There are sites on where married people
- 40:23Speaker 2: are on there putting it out there for the other
- 40:26Speaker 2: person to partake in them and letting them know that
- 40:29Speaker 2: they're married and their partner knows nothing about it. That's
- 40:33Speaker 2: what the phone call was about. So when you call
- 40:36Speaker 2: here talking about somebody showing they age, make sure yo,
- 40:39Speaker 2: the last I ain't showing yours too. So learn to listen,
- 40:44Speaker 2: because that's what it takes when you come after me,
- 40:47Speaker 2: y'all showing y'all age. Now, look, if y'all swingers, we
- 40:51Speaker 2: know what swingers is. We was doing when this was
- 40:54Speaker 2: around for your young ass was born. Now have you
- 40:57Speaker 2: got another couple of y'all going out to the club.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Now you want to swing? We know what that is.
- 41:02Speaker 2: That ain't what the damn call was talking about. But
- 41:06Speaker 2: you didn't listen to that. You heard the part you
- 41:08Speaker 2: on it, and now you want to call it and be
- 41:10Speaker 2: critical because we old. Old is the goal and maybe
- 41:15Speaker 2: one day your ass to get older and have some
- 41:18Speaker 2: damn sense too. Sitting up in here and I'll be
- 41:20Speaker 2: listening to this stuff, and I'm sorry, lady, but you're
- 41:23Speaker 2: on the back end of my work week because I
- 41:26Speaker 2: work for young people. That family few say stupid sugar
- 41:30Speaker 2: hundred ice teeth all.
- 41:32Speaker 6: Damn day long.
- 41:33Speaker 2: And I got to sit there because HR just riding
- 41:36Speaker 2: the corner and I gotta act like I'm okay with that.
- 41:39Speaker 14: What I.
- 41:42Speaker 2: And you done walked up into the hornet's nest while
- 41:45Speaker 2: the hornet was sitting outside reading the paper and buzz
- 41:49Speaker 2: stanging your ass. All right, I can ty the young
- 41:55Speaker 2: people because we old, we stupid, and we don't know
- 41:58Speaker 2: how to look at stuff.
- 42:00Speaker 6: Y'all can come up with all these new ass titles.
- 42:02Speaker 9: You won't do, Brian.
- 42:03Speaker 6: It's called cheat the hell it is man.
- 42:09Speaker 7: Yeah, it's an agreement between the people who are going
- 42:13Speaker 7: to be cheating with the or seeing each other. They
- 42:16Speaker 7: didn't say anything about the their telling their partners or
- 42:19Speaker 7: anything like that.
- 42:19Speaker 2: That's surely definite, even what the call was that though,
- 42:24Speaker 2: you all want to light us up because her dumb
- 42:27Speaker 2: ass is some relationship and some man that told her
- 42:29Speaker 2: he's seeing somebody else.
- 42:31Speaker 6: No, her dumb ass trying to be okay with what you.
- 42:34Speaker 7: Call he's uninformed. Coming up next, the nephew with the
- 42:48Speaker 7: frank phone call for today right after this You're listening
- 42:53Speaker 7: morning show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 42:57Speaker 7: right about four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today.
- 43:00Speaker 7: The subject he facetimes me when he's with her.
- 43:05Speaker 11: Huh. We'll get into that and just a few.
- 43:10Speaker 7: But right now the nephew is here with today's frank
- 43:13Speaker 7: phone call.
- 43:14Speaker 11: What you got for us, nest?
- 43:15Speaker 10: Surely it is PSC ps C. That is pro State Checker,
- 43:24Speaker 10: pros State Checker.

- 51:21Speaker 17: he put his finger on the funny.
- 51:22Speaker 6: Go ahead, you get.
- 51:24Speaker 1: That, Carl.
- 51:26Speaker 8: I'm getting me a shirt made with that on it.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Stupid and he.
- 51:32Speaker 8: Got a walk and everything with it. Stupid with a purpose.
- 51:37Speaker 10: Dothan, Alabama and everybody around the way, it's your boy
- 51:40Speaker 10: nephew telling me July fifteenth, the nephew is coming to town.
- 51:43Speaker 8: Did you hear what I said, Dothan, Alabama?
- 51:46Speaker 10: I said, July fifteenth, the nephew is coming to town.
- 51:49Speaker 10: I'm back, I'm stronger, I'm better, I gotta testimony. Oh,
- 51:53Speaker 10: I got a purpose and I'm still straight stupid. Come

- 52:36Speaker 7: It is letter subject he facetimed me while he was
- 52:41Speaker 7: with her.
- 52:42Speaker 11: Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:43Speaker 7: I met the love of my life seven years ago
- 52:45Speaker 7: and I was twenty one years old at the time.
- 52:47Speaker 7: He's three years older than me and had already had
- 52:50Speaker 7: a child. He was my first everything, and he influenced
- 52:53Speaker 7: everything I did. I overlooked a lot of things he
- 52:56Speaker 7: did because I was young and crazy in love. He
- 53:00Speaker 7: would be intimate with the mother of his child, and
- 53:02Speaker 7: he didn't try to hide it. It made me feel
- 53:04Speaker 7: like I wasn't good enough or skilled enough at sex
- 53:07Speaker 7: because he kept on having sex with her. She threw
- 53:10Speaker 7: it up in my face whenever she could, so I
- 53:13Speaker 7: finally broke up with him. I was heartbroken, but managed
- 53:17Speaker 7: to stay friends with him. He ended up having another
- 53:20Speaker 7: child with this lady and told me that it was
- 53:23Speaker 7: a big mistake. Then he started dating this lady he
- 53:26Speaker 7: worked with, and they had a baby together.
- 53:29Speaker 11: After his third child.
- 53:30Speaker 7: Was born, he came to me humbly and said he
- 53:33Speaker 7: was so tired of how he had been doing things
- 53:36Speaker 7: and he wanted me back. He also said he was
- 53:38Speaker 7: ready to get married. We got back together eight months ago,
- 53:43Speaker 7: and I'm pregnant. He seemed to be happy when I
- 53:46Speaker 7: told him, and he said he would have my dream wedding.
- 53:49Speaker 7: We would have my dream wedding, but that's on hold
- 53:52Speaker 7: for now. Week ago, he went to visit his youngest
- 53:55Speaker 7: son and we were on FaceTime as he drove.
- 53:59Speaker 11: When he got out out of the car.
- 54:01Speaker 7: He thought he had hung up and he must have
- 54:03Speaker 7: thrown his phone in his pocket. I heard a female mumbling,
- 54:07Speaker 7: and then I clearly heard her ask if he had
- 54:10Speaker 7: a condom. Then I heard a lot of moaning. I
- 54:14Speaker 7: hung up and I got physically ill. When he came back,
- 54:17Speaker 7: I didn't let him know what i'd heard. I'm about
- 54:20Speaker 7: to deliver his fourth child, and he's still a liar
- 54:23Speaker 7: and a cheater.
- 54:24Speaker 11: I don't want to be a single parent. What should
- 54:27Speaker 11: I do?
- 54:27Speaker 6: Now?
- 54:29Speaker 7: Well, girl, you got to get it together, I mean
- 54:31Speaker 7: quickly and in a hurry. You're about to deliver his
- 54:35Speaker 7: fourth child. You gotta just stop being stupid.
- 54:37Speaker 11: These are some stupid moves you've been making, you know,
- 54:40Speaker 11: with this man.
- 54:41Speaker 7: This guy's been using you, lying to you all along,
- 54:44Speaker 7: and you keep on falling for it. I know you're young,
- 54:49Speaker 7: but I mean you could have just asked him to
- 54:53Speaker 7: use a condom. You could have to use protection. It's
- 54:56Speaker 7: okay to say that you know or or did you
- 55:00Speaker 7: want to get pregnant by him? I'm not so sure
- 55:03Speaker 7: you didn't, you know because you were so happy to
- 55:05Speaker 7: have him back. I mean, and did you think that
- 55:08Speaker 7: a baby would keep him well, as you can clearly see,
- 55:12Speaker 7: it didn't. And now although you may not want to
- 55:15Speaker 7: be a single parent, you will be. This guy is
- 55:18Speaker 7: a loser in every sense of the word, who just
- 55:21Speaker 7: keeps dropping babies wherever he goes. I mean, he's not
- 55:24Speaker 7: thinking about protection.
- 55:26Speaker 9: And you know.
- 55:28Speaker 7: You never once said at least he's a good father,
- 55:31Speaker 7: because he's not.
- 55:33Speaker 11: He's not.
- 55:33Speaker 7: Let's face it, he's too busy making kids and he's immature.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Like a kid.
- 55:39Speaker 7: I'm sorry you loved him more than you loved you
- 55:42Speaker 7: and got yourself caught up in his game of lies
- 55:45Speaker 7: and deceit.
- 55:45Speaker 11: But please know that it is not the end of
- 55:48Speaker 11: the world for you.
- 55:49Speaker 7: First of all, please don't even consider marrying this guy
- 55:53Speaker 7: right now. I mean, you need to walk away from
- 55:56Speaker 7: this toxic relationship. It is now time to make plans
- 56:00Speaker 7: for a future without him.
- 56:02Speaker 11: Use this time. I'm telling you to use.
- 56:04Speaker 7: This time to figure out how are you going to
- 56:06Speaker 7: take care of your baby and taking that baby daddy
- 56:09Speaker 7: to court right now?
- 56:11Speaker 6: Steve, Wow, it's a lot of here, man. Listen.
- 56:19Speaker 2: I feel bad for this lady right here, this young girl.
- 56:23Speaker 2: But this started wrong, and it's wrong from the very beginning,
- 56:28Speaker 2: and there are no corrections being made along the way.
- 56:31Speaker 2: And now you're faced with the ultimatum. At the end
- 56:34Speaker 2: of this letter, you're simply saying, I don't want to
- 56:37Speaker 2: be a single parent.
- 56:38Speaker 6: What should I do? Now?
- 56:39Speaker 2: Well, let me show you what has happened so I
- 56:43Speaker 2: can paint a clear picture of you. You met the love
- 56:47Speaker 2: of your life seven years ago. Stop saying that because
- 56:52Speaker 2: this is the love of your life, your life is
- 56:55Speaker 2: headed for a loveless, remaining livelihood.
- 57:00Speaker 6: This can't be the love of your life.
- 57:02Speaker 2: This was the love of your life, so you thought
- 57:06Speaker 2: up until that point.
- 57:08Speaker 6: But after you met him, he started proving to you
- 57:11Speaker 6: he was not the love of your life.
- 57:13Speaker 2: You've got to get a better definition of love of
- 57:16Speaker 2: your life. You got to learn how to let somebody
- 57:19Speaker 2: else love you that knows how to do it. Twenty one,
- 57:21Speaker 2: he's three years older, he already had a child. He
- 57:27Speaker 2: was my first everything. He influenced everything I did. I
- 57:31Speaker 2: overlooked a lot of things he did because I was
- 57:33Speaker 2: young and crazy in love. Right there, right there, you
- 57:39Speaker 2: made the statement, young lady, that I want you to
- 57:41Speaker 2: pay attention to I overlooked a lot of things he
- 57:45Speaker 2: did because I was young and crazy in love. He
- 57:49Speaker 2: would be intimate with the mother of his child. He
- 57:53Speaker 2: didn't try to hide it, so he just throw it
- 57:58Speaker 2: up in your face.
- 58:00Speaker 6: It made me.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Feel like I wasn't good enough or skilled enough as
- 58:03Speaker 2: sex because he kept having sex with him, and you
- 58:07Speaker 2: knew he was kept having sex with her, and you
- 58:10Speaker 2: allowed him to have sex, and then he kept having
- 58:14Speaker 2: sex with and then the lady threw it up in
- 58:15Speaker 2: your face.
- 58:16Speaker 6: Whenever she could, and now you got.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Other women calling you about the love of your life,
- 58:25Speaker 2: and the love of your life is screwing all these
- 58:28Speaker 2: other people. I was heart broken, but I managed to
- 58:34Speaker 2: stay friends with him. Why why what has he done
- 58:40Speaker 2: that's friendly towards you know, we need to do two
- 58:44Speaker 2: things right now.
- 58:45Speaker 6: When we come back, we talk about it. You need
- 58:47Speaker 6: a new definition of friend and you need a new
- 58:50Speaker 6: definition of love.
- 58:51Speaker 7: Wow, all right, Steve, hold on to that thought. We'll
- 58:55Speaker 7: get part two of your response coming up at twenty
- 58:58Speaker 7: three minutes after the hours subject he face timed me
- 59:02Speaker 7: while he was with her.
- 59:03Speaker 11: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 59:05Speaker 9: You're listening morning show.
- 59:08Speaker 11: All right, Steve, come.
- 59:09Speaker 7: On, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject he face
- 59:12Speaker 7: timed me when he was.
- 59:14Speaker 2: With her, This young lady who I have no jokes
- 59:19Speaker 2: for because I'm heartbroken for her because the twenty one
- 59:23Speaker 2: she claimed to have met the love of her life,
- 59:25Speaker 2: which was just the love of her life up at
- 59:27Speaker 2: that point. But this guy has shown her no respect
- 59:32Speaker 2: or love. He was your first everything. He influenced everything
- 59:36Speaker 2: you did. And the mistake you made was I overlooked
- 59:38Speaker 2: a lot of things he did because I was young
- 59:40Speaker 2: and crazy in love.
- 59:41Speaker 6: So what did you do?
- 59:44Speaker 2: You allowed him to have sex with other women repeatedly
- 59:48Speaker 2: that you knew about it. They had other women call
- 59:51Speaker 2: you to confront you about the screwing that he was
- 59:54Speaker 2: doing with them. You allowed it, and you allowed him
- 59:58Speaker 2: to put it in front of your faith because he
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: didn't care that you knew about it. Okay, these are
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: the stuff did you allowed to happen because you was
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: young and crazy in love?
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: Now let's move on.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: So finally you broke up with him, You say, but
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: y'all remain friends. Why what friendly was he towards you?
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: He's done nothing but dog you the entire time. That
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: ain't love on friendship. I was heartbroken, but manistate friends
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: with Windom. He ended up having another child with this lady.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: So now that lady they had another baby and told
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: me that it was a big mistake. Then he started
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: dating a lady from work and they had a baby together. Now,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: after the third child was born, he came to you
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: humbly and said he was so tired of how he's
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: been doing things and he wanted you back. He also
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: said he was ready to get married. Oh, he said
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: everything you wanted to. Hear got been together eight months ago,
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: and I'm pregnant. He seemed to be so happy when
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: I told him. He said we would have my dream wedding.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: But all that's on whole now. You know why because
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: a week ago he went to visit his youngest son
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: and we were on FaceTime as he drove.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: When he got out.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: The car, he thought he had hung up and he
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: must have thrown his phone in his pocket. You heard
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: a female mumbling, and you clearly heard her ask if
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: he had a condom. Then I heard a lot of moaning.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: I hung up and I got physically ill. When he
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: came back, he go to other mistaken I did not
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: let him know what I heard.
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: Now I'm about to deliver his fourth child.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: He's still aliar and a cheetah, has been that the
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: entire time, and I don't want to be a single parent.
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: What should I do now?
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: So, a young lady, you don't want to be a
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: single parent, So the only other option is this. You
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: can get married and ruin your entire remaining life by
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: being married to this liar and this cheater. Or you
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: could take this blessing, this baby. Learn from your mistakes.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Never allow another person to walk over you, take your child,
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: raise him, and then wait on your real love of
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: your life to come along.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: You're still young, You're still young. This is not the
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: end of the world for you. The baby is not
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: a mistake. It's not.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: The baby is fine. The baby will you'll You'll be fine.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: You will manage, just like every other single parent does.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Do not marry this man. Now he gonna have to
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: get his But it's not up you. It's not up
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: to you to give it to it. Let me tell
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: you some ladies, y'all alwayste a lie time being scorn,
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: and I do understand it, and I ain't saying it
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: shouldn't be that way. Because you hurt, you hurt. He'll
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: have no fury like a woman scorn. I used to
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: think it was a Bible verse. I swear to God,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: I did. I thought it was a Bible verse. It's not,
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: but it sounds so true. And they use the word scorn.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Scorn is a biblical term. That's why I thought it
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: was a Bible verse.
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: But it's not.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: So now you have it, you have a decision to make.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Cut your losses from this man. Stop giving yourself to
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: this man. Stop thinking you can change this man. Stop
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: hoping this man changes. You may have been the love,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: he may have been the love of your life, but
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: listen to me, young sister, you have never been the
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: love of his life ever.
- 1:03:51Speaker 11: He knows nothing about it.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: And you are not now, So let God handle him.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Oh please know he got his coming. Ladies, dudes that
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: do like this, they don't get.
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: Away scott free. I'm just why. I just need you
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: to know that.
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: And he'll probably have more kids with other women.
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean a lot of stuff gonna happen, but
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: it don't need to happen in your face though.
- 1:04:13Speaker 11: Nope, nope.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: You could take your baby and get along and start over.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: And it happens all the time. There are men who
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: accept women who have children with open arms. Become great fathers,
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: great families, They adopted kids, the kids take their name.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: All types of stuff happen. Don't think it's hopeless for you.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: But please do not let your yearning not to be
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: a single parent, wanting not to be a single parent
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: be in your decision in fact of whether you marry
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: this worthless, no good human being. For don't compound your mistakes.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Your mistake was taking him back don't compound it by
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: keeping him right.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: Let it go, little girl.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Uncle Steve, you're telling you walk off, cut your losses,
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: tell him what you know so he know, and go
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: about your nie.
- 1:05:11Speaker 11: Steve, thank you.
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey

- 1:05:23Speaker 7: so this was a question guys from Facebook. It says, Hey, Steve,
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: Tommy Junior, my homeboy took his girlfriend on vacation because
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: they were beefing and thought.
- 1:05:34Speaker 11: They needed a get away.
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: They both were tripping and still arguing, so while on vacation,
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: they decided to break up on the last day there.
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: The flight home was tough, but they said, ultimately it's
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: for the best man. I'd be mad if I had
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: to spend three grand to figure out we needed to
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: break up.
- 1:05:51Speaker 9: Here's a question for you, guys.
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: Did you ever break up on your vacation with your
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: book or did you stay and fly home early?
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: You did? I?
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: Actually did?
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I did?
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: We broke on a damn cruise ship.
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: Yes happened.
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: It all just.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Came to a rocky inn.
- 1:06:13Speaker 10: It was bad I don't know how we stayed in
- 1:06:15Speaker 10: that cabin two extra days.
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: It was just bad.
- 1:06:19Speaker 10: And by the time we docked, matter of fact, call
- 1:06:21Speaker 10: it doc back in New Orleans. Man, take something. I
- 1:06:25Speaker 10: was broke, didn't have no money, but I was though
- 1:06:28Speaker 10: with hot.
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: God.
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: Were you guys having problems before you went on the
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: cruise like this guy until you thought the cruise might
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: you know we was having might make it better.
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: Before we met. Seemed like we was having problem.
- 1:06:43Speaker 10: Not Yeah, I don't want to talk about this.
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: This is like some.
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: Ragged in memory lane.
- 1:06:54Speaker 12: No, I ain't never did anything like that. First of all,
- 1:06:56Speaker 12: only beef I'm eating is on the plane. You can't
- 1:06:58Speaker 12: be beef before we go.
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: I ain't never did nothing like this.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Come, I'm here to tell you that I've gone on
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: several vacations, yes, sir, and wanted to break up this
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: soda vacation, wanted to break up on the vacation, stayed
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: and went on some.
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: More vacations.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: Until finally he's talking about he would be mad if
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: he spent three thousand.
- 1:07:30Speaker 14: Uh huh.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: I've lost millions in bad vacations and break up. So no, son,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Sometimes you try to save it. You try to go
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: out there and you know, maybe this we get some
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: time away alone. But that's the best way to find
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: out if you really belong with somebody. Go somewhere where
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: there's no distractions. It's just you and Marjorie and I
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: have a running joke we knew we were meant to
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: be each other when we went to Borrow because Bora
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: bora has nothing to do.
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: Bora bora. There's a Latin word that means boring, boring
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: and bora.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, that's a good way to
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: find out if you belong to think if you can
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: pay three thousand to get out and learn that information, money,
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: well spit.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Yeah, wow about lesson?
- 1:08:26Speaker 11: Uh huh, you're listening.
- 1:08:28Speaker 9: Hard morning show.
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: All right, So Steve, here's the question that we saw
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: on Facebook. It says, my sixteen year old daughter has
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: been dating a kid from school for the past six
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: months and he's cool. The problem is, now, you know,
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: we all know, it's summer and they're out of school.
- 1:08:46Speaker 11: He's always at the house, I mean.
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: Like from eight am to like ten pm sometimes later,
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: which means we wind up having to feed him all
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: his meals unless they should. Maybe they'll go out for
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: an evening or something.
- 1:08:59Speaker 11: I don't mind. I'm feeding him once in a while, but.
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: Food costs a lot these days, and we can't really
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: afford to keep feeding him. I told my daughter that
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: he either has to come by less or maybe bring
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: his own food now and again, and she got mad,
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: telling me I was being cheap and unsupportive. This boy
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: is eating us out of house and home. I mean,
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: at this point, his parents should be paying me. I
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: feed him so much. So the question is, Steve, what
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: would you do and how did they get this boy
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: to stay home sometimes?
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: First of all, it's certain days you can't come over here.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: We're gonna we're gonna get this bill back down to normal, okay,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: and we're gonna have some visitation out and you sixteen y'all,
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: you'll leave over here. You can't be over here all day.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: What they doing all damn day? You don't think nothing
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: on his mind all day long, and you could don't
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: lit onm night here, and that's why he's over there
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: all day all night. No, man, you ain't coming over here.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: You can come over here on sad and wins now
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: during the summer, we got in there and they may
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: go somewhere in the evening here.
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: You mean they may go somewhere.
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: In eave, go out for the evening or something.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: Oh, you got to be careful, y'all showing your age,
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: trying to show guidance and yeah.
- 1:10:22Speaker 6: And things like that.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: But you're not bringing your ass over here all day
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: every day.
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: And the daughter remembers said that they were being cheap
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: and unsupportive.
- 1:10:32Speaker 11: She said that to her parents.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Well, I tell you what, you split your food with
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: it because we're making three plates here.
- 1:10:37Speaker 11: Yeah, because she got mad mad? Yeah, you know the
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: daughter got mad.
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: Do you know I wasn't even loud to get mad.
- 1:10:45Speaker 11: Oh we didn't do at our parents.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: No, I be mad. But you just best to keep
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: to yourself. Are you in that blowing.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Shoe?
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: What did you say?
- 1:10:58Speaker 9: Shoe?
- 1:10:59Speaker 7: Show your eyes again, that's the one I got all
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: the time. Roll your eyes again one more time.
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: Put you're in that quiet fault.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: All of that.
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: I could.
- 1:11:11Speaker 11: Let me give you something to think about.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Better, not being there thinking about me and your daddy.
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: So, yeah, this is crazy. So you're saying he can
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: only come over one day a week.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: A couple of days a week, that we put some
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: restrictions on.
- 1:11:30Speaker 11: I know, everything boundaries.
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: But you know, you know I'm gonna get his parents involved.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, that's right. Come you sixteen without a
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: summer jerm Where is your job? When I had it,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I had to.
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: Be at work.
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: Get me over my girlfriend every day.
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: I've had a job.
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: Any high school memory? See when you were a teenager
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: dating a girl in high school?
- 1:11:55Speaker 22: Anything had a bunch of failures, no success story, all failures,
- 1:12:08Speaker 22: no game.
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: What's the longest you dated in high school?
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Probably about four weeks?
- 1:12:14Speaker 11: It a month, a month. Yeah, it was all Why
- 1:12:18Speaker 11: did you break up? Why did you break up?
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: I usually had something to do with money.
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: Yeah you heard earlier it was facial features.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know money, you don't had a flat tire,
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: couldn't couldn't buy the glue to fix the flash that
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: broke up one relationship. Then a girl gonna ask me
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: to go to the movies, have me pay for it,
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: and I didn't have no problem with it. But when
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: we got to the movie, I didn't have enough money,
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: so I just let her go.
- 1:12:48Speaker 6: Don't have enough money?
- 1:12:50Speaker 11: You were rich, you had to be.
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: I went. I went to move with one girl.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: She mad because I only got one box of popcorn
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: and we split it.
- 1:12:59Speaker 6: That's all I had. Yeah, Drake, I said, here's a
- 1:13:03Speaker 6: water fine out.
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: All we gotta god me cry. All right, more more

- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Hold your tears, baby, all right, here we go.
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: So yeah, So, so some of us have eaten a
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: meal that has brought us to tears, or at least
- 1:13:57Speaker 7: come close to bring us to tears. Or maybe it
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: was a bill at the end of the meal that
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: made you cry.
- 1:14:03Speaker 11: Well, anyway, there is this elderly man in China.
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: He's been diagnosed with an extremely rare condition. It's known
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: as crocodile tears syndrome. I'm like, is this for real?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: You got this? Yeah, you got a to turn here.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I beat my mama oxtails and he just happened.
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: It causes him to cry every time he eats. It's
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: ruining his social life. Doctors reported that his nerve fibers
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: are misdirected and they interfere with his uh salivary glands,
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: so when he smells or tastes food, it makes him cry.
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: And I'm very funny, No it's not.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Nat can't and try and trek him to him to say,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: just eat like this.
- 1:14:55Speaker 7: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Ship.

- 1:15:03Speaker 11: would you rather? Guys?
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: Would you rather have a missing tooth on the side

- 1:15:28Speaker 2: the wall where you can have that cigarette dangling off
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: the side of your mouth.
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: That flop.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: That is not sexy.
- 1:15:39Speaker 8: That's a visual.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: We all got it right down.
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: Would you rather take a guaranteed five hundred thousand dollars,
- 1:15:50Speaker 7: A guaranteed five hundred thousand dollars, or would you rather
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: a chance at getting one million dollars?
- 1:15:56Speaker 8: Would they say one in a hand.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Be two in the bush. That's why one of their
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: take the half of the thing.
- 1:16:02Speaker 8: I can flip that. I'll take the hash.
- 1:16:04Speaker 11: I can't make it die, make a nickel.
- 1:16:06Speaker 6: Fun I'm gonna definitely take that half.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: All right, all right?
- 1:16:14Speaker 11: Would you rather have stinky breath or stinky feet?
- 1:16:19Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: I put them in them shoes I got, I got shoes.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: I get through fishing. I can't even take my damn boots.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Off like that.
- 1:16:27Speaker 19: Yeah, I'm going with bee Yeah, b all right, closing
- 1:16:35Speaker 19: the gym, got through working out and taking them shoes off?
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: Whoa?
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: But at least you have to unleash them. Problem with
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: bad breath is it is you?
- 1:16:46Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: You ain't never heard nobody go like people go, man,
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: whose feet is that?
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: You know?
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: Ain't nobody would? Who breath? Is that?
- 1:16:55Speaker 11: They know?
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: You open your mouth and you still talking, and we
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: were affected?
- 1:17:04Speaker 11: And what about the mask? The mask?
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: Well you know that bad breakfast rough man, because if
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: you put that mask on me.
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: You actually knocked your own ass out.
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: And there's some people just not knowing it was them.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: I can't wait, there's another. This ain't gonna finish the
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: day out right here?
- 1:17:28Speaker 8: All right?
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Last one?
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: Would you rather have a constant sinus headache? Constant sinus
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: headache or constant itching down there?
- 1:17:38Speaker 16: He No, I'm just I'm just gonna be stopped up
- 1:17:42Speaker 16: all the way stopped signs headache.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: No. Well, I'm just I'm gonna just be digging. Damn
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: you dig and.
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: I help dog. I'm talking about looking at making eye contact.
- 1:17:55Speaker 7: What you want that's around today, coming up with.
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: How you do it?
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: Last break of the day, and closing from Steve Harvey.
- 1:18:06Speaker 9: Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: Steve.
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: Here we are end of the show with just one
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: more thing. Your closing remarks.
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: Uh, you know, today I want to still stay on
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: the encouraging tip and I want to talk to people
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: about something that you should make. These are just suggestions, folks.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: You know, I don't know everything, but these are some
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: things that I do to personally keep myself moving forward
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: in a positive direction because I'm always trying to accomplish
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: something new. You know, I'm never satisfied. Well, it's not
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: that I'm never satisfied. I'm never complacent. I don't I
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: don't believe in sitting still. I don't believe in they're
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: not moving forward.
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: I just don't see it.
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: You know, every day I try to wake up and
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: approach and attack a new challenge. I've always setting goals
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: out there because it just gives you something to aim
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: for throughout the day. One of the things I want
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: to remind people of something that I do and you're
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: invited to do the sing is you know, have a
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: life feel with a mission, have a life filled with
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: a mission. Now you can have several missions in life,
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: but get your life filed with missions. Remember the show
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Mission Impossible, And remember that tape recording that used to
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: come on every day and tell the guy what to do,
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: and then at the end of it, the tape with
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: self destruct. But that became the mission. It became the purpose,
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: the task at hand, and until you completed that task,
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: you came back in and that's what the whole show is.
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: It was a really funny thing.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: You know, this tape recording comes on and in it
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: fears is and disintegrates, and that's your mission.
- 1:19:57Speaker 6: I still do that. Man.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: It's sort of a funny analogy. I try to create
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: a mission in my life all the time, and in
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: order to accomplish your mission, one of the things you
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: have to do is you have to surround yourself with people.
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: Who are about the same mission.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: That will be no missions accomplished in life solely by yourself.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: I don't I can't think of anything that you can
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: accomplish solely by yourself. You know, even if you want
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: to have a relationship with God, Yeah, you can have
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: a relationship with God, but to draw closer, you know,
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: you gotta have some type of tool.
- 1:20:35Speaker 6: Lig you know, you got to read some scripture. Somebody's
- 1:20:37Speaker 6: got to show you another way to approach it. Somebody go, Man,
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: if you going.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: Through this, read this or read that, and it sort
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: of helps you with your goal even in that. But
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: I don't know anything that you can accomplish mission wise alone.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: So you need to surround yourself who with people who
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: are like minded. As a motivational speaker, sometimes when I'm
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: going you use my motivational pictures.
- 1:21:02Speaker 6: That I keep in my phone, and.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: I put them up on a big screen and I
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: show them to people. And one of my favorite pictures
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: is a picture of these lions walking and the expression
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: on the lion's face because they've woken up from their
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: nap and they're going out for the hunt.
- 1:21:21Speaker 6: And if you look at lions when they're walking to
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: go out on.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: A hunt, they all have that same determined look on
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: their face because they're all about the same mission. You
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: ever notice when lions ready to go out on the hunt,
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: they leave the cubs back at the den because see,
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: it ain't no time to play out here, because we're
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: going out here to feed.
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: Were going out here to hunt.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: So they leave the cubs back in the den when
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: they go out on the hunt because they ain't got
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: no time for no foolishness. And I have this picture
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: in my phone of these lions just striding and if
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: you look at all the looks on when they face,
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: they serious.
- 1:22:02Speaker 6: It ain't no playtime.
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: Because everybody is on the same mission. Everybody is of
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: the like mindedness that it takes to accomplish the mission.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: And the capture says, surround yourself with people who are
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: on the same mission. And I'm saying that to you today.
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: Find someone who is about the business just like you are.
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: Start hanging out with people who are goal oriented, who
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: are are success minded. Somebody was talking to somebody one time.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: They said, man, Steve, let me ask you something. Why
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: rich people are always talking about money? That would get
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: on my nerves. Okay, what else you want to talk about?
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: You want to talk about what happened on the Real Housewives?
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: What you want to talk about, what's going on in
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: the theaters today? We can talk about that. But when
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: I get together with my friends, we get together. We
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: on a mission. I even play golf with people who
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: are on the same mission as me, you know, because
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: we of like mindedness. I don't play golf with a
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: bunch of single friends because see, now, when we're not
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: playing golf, we're not gonna be able to single mind
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: I need people just want to go play golf, Go
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: to the clubhouse, have a cigar, get yourself a drink,
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: get yourself some neat and go and go to your room,
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: cause we gotta get up early in the morning play
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: this tournament game we got going again.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: That's just it.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: Even when I play, I play with people of like mindedness.
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: I don't play with people that's doing something else because
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: I don't need the distraction. It's very important that you
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: surround yourself with like minded people.
- 1:23:44Speaker 6: Find them somewhere.
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: See.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: It goes along with an old saying. You've all heard this.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: If you're the smartest person in your group, then you
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: need a new group. You can't be the smartest person
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: in your group. Man, you gotta have somebody that knows
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: a little bit more about the journey, or is familiar
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: with a certain thing that's going to happen on the journey,
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: or they can give you a suggestion when you get
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: to that point. Everybody ain't got to be good at everything.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: Sometimes you have specialty people. It's like you know, when
