- 2:07Speaker 9: dig me now, one and.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man o man
- 2:13Speaker 2: o man.
- 2:16Speaker 9: Hey, you know today, I just want to say something
- 2:24Speaker 9: that I don't think I've ever shared this way before.
- 2:30Speaker 9: The The title is very simple, and that is it's
- 2:37Speaker 9: been worth it to me, you know I I just
- 2:43Speaker 9: I just kept thinking that this morning, that it's all
- 2:47Speaker 9: been worth it to me. And what I mean by
- 2:50Speaker 9: that is this relationship that I have with my heavenly father,
- 2:57Speaker 9: it's been worth it to me. I can't even tell
- 3:02Speaker 9: you the value that it has had in my life.
- 3:09Speaker 9: I can't tell you how it's helped me to understand
- 3:16Speaker 9: not only my purpose, but to better understand my past.
- 3:23Speaker 9: That's critical, man, because I'm grateful for that.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Because so many people.
- 3:30Speaker 9: Can't get beyond their past and event a set of circumstances,
- 3:36Speaker 9: some calamity that be said. Stim maybe it's been grief something,
- 3:41Speaker 9: but it ties so many people up. It's been so
- 3:46Speaker 9: worth it to me. It is, man, it's been worth
- 3:53Speaker 9: having someone to go to when no one else was there.
- 4:00Speaker 9: Do you understand what I'm saying?
- 4:04Speaker 4: It has?
- 4:04Speaker 2: It has given me a place to go.
- 4:08Speaker 9: When no one else has been there. Oh, hey man,
- 4:13Speaker 9: we pulling for you. Hey man, hanging there, Hey man,
- 4:17Speaker 9: keep your head up.
- 4:19Speaker 2: All of that.
- 4:21Speaker 9: But I gotta tell you, man, you get yourself in
- 4:24Speaker 9: some circumstances and situations in this thing called life, when
- 4:28Speaker 9: no one can help you but God, When the only
- 4:31Speaker 9: person that could possibly understand or know what you're feeling
- 4:36Speaker 9: is God. The only person that will sit there with
- 4:39Speaker 9: you through it all and understand everything about it has
- 4:45Speaker 9: been God. It's been worth it to me, man, It's
- 4:49Speaker 9: it's been worth it to me. It's been the biggest
- 4:55Speaker 9: improvement in my life. I mean, man, as I look
- 4:59Speaker 9: back over my life, life and forming a strong bond
- 5:03Speaker 9: with God has been the most beneficial thing to me.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You know, these things you read in your in your
- 5:12Speaker 2: in in writings in the Bible or or whatever you're reading.
- 5:17Speaker 9: You know, when you when you read scriptures and things
- 5:19Speaker 9: of that nature. It it's it's been around a long time.
- 5:26Speaker 9: It holds so much truth to it. I mean, man,
- 5:30Speaker 9: it's like, how could this have been written so long
- 5:33Speaker 9: ago and still pertained directly to today?
- 5:40Speaker 2: I mean that that's amazing. That is amazing to me.
- 5:45Speaker 4: That.
- 5:45Speaker 9: I mean, that has to be God at work to
- 5:48Speaker 9: have written something so complete, so dead on point that
- 5:56Speaker 9: if you read it today it means exactly what pertains
- 6:03Speaker 9: to today. That's amazing, man. That's why my spiritual walk
- 6:11Speaker 9: it's just worth it to me. And I keep saying
- 6:14Speaker 9: it's worth it, because if you're sitting out there and
- 6:17Speaker 9: you tripping like I was tripping, deciding, nah, let me
- 6:21Speaker 9: do it. I got a few more things I want
- 6:23Speaker 9: to do. Couple more girls I want to holler at,
- 6:25Speaker 9: a couple more things I want to get into. I
- 6:27Speaker 9: got a cup more deals I want to do. I
- 6:29Speaker 9: got a little bit more dirt. I want to roll
- 6:30Speaker 9: up on me a little bit.
- 6:31Speaker 2: First.
- 6:32Speaker 9: For a while, man, I wish I had known, I
- 6:35Speaker 9: really wish I had understood exactly what forming a relationship
- 6:40Speaker 9: with God would do for me, it's been worth every
- 6:45Speaker 9: person who out there who hate on me, that don't
- 6:49Speaker 9: even know me, it's because I have a relationship with
- 6:53Speaker 9: him that I'm.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Fine with that.
- 6:55Speaker 9: I don't care for it, but it ain't gonna stop
- 6:58Speaker 9: me though, See, because I know for a fact that
- 7:04Speaker 9: haters make you greater. I know for a fact that
- 7:07Speaker 9: haters validate your mere existence. I know for a fact
- 7:13Speaker 9: that half of them is out of envy and jealousy
- 7:16Speaker 9: because of something you're doing that they wish they could
- 7:20Speaker 9: do or they won't credit for, so.
- 7:23Speaker 2: They just now I ain't anything all that bam, and
- 7:26Speaker 2: now you just all over the place with people.
- 7:29Speaker 9: Man, I'm so grateful for this relationship that it has
- 7:33Speaker 9: not allowed outside influences that do not have my best
- 7:38Speaker 9: interest at heart to throw me off course. It has
- 7:43Speaker 9: just been worth it. And if you're sitting out there
- 7:46Speaker 9: and you're wondering about the benefits of it, I can't
- 7:51Speaker 9: even tell you what it's like to know that when
- 7:54Speaker 9: bad things are happening to me, the calming peace that
- 7:58Speaker 9: I feel that I know that that's gonna be alright too,
- 8:03Speaker 9: that I know that this too shall pass, that I
- 8:06Speaker 9: know in my heart of hearts. Man, that there's got
- 8:10Speaker 9: to be a reason for this, and if I can
- 8:12Speaker 9: just hang on in there, he gonna unfold that from
- 8:15Speaker 9: me and he gonna.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Let me see it.
- 8:17Speaker 9: But the number one thing I always know is I'm
- 8:20Speaker 9: gonna survive this one too, That this too shall pass.
- 8:23Speaker 9: It has been worth it to me, man, to have
- 8:27Speaker 9: this thing called faith, which is the belief in things
- 8:30Speaker 9: that you cannot see, and to know man along the
- 8:33Speaker 9: way that, oh my goodness, man, even though I don't
- 8:37Speaker 9: know what's next, or even I'm not really sure about
- 8:41Speaker 9: the next step, I do know for a fact that
- 8:44Speaker 9: some moe is coming. I do know for a fact.
- 8:48Speaker 9: It is a fact that God will take care of me.
- 8:52Speaker 9: It is a fact that he will never ever leave
- 8:56Speaker 9: me or desert me. If I just stay here where
- 8:59Speaker 9: I'm supposed to be. He's coming. The Calvary's coming over
- 9:03Speaker 9: the hill. He coming over the hill. And when he
- 9:05Speaker 9: come over that hill, he gonna wipe out all this
- 9:08Speaker 9: mess down here that that's trying to hurt me, That
- 9:11Speaker 9: that I don't have to worry about my enemies anymore,
- 9:14Speaker 9: that my enemies that are all around you can surround me.
- 9:20Speaker 9: You can shoot all the arrows you want. Now, it's
- 9:23Speaker 9: not to say that none of them ain't gonna come close.
- 9:26Speaker 9: And I ain't gonna say that, you know, I ain't
- 9:29Speaker 9: gonna be a little under some pressure, a little nervous
- 9:31Speaker 9: about being shot at so hard. But at the end
- 9:34Speaker 9: of the day, I know this for show. Ain't none
- 9:36Speaker 9: of them gonna stick in me. You can shoot them,
- 9:39Speaker 9: but ain't none of them gonna stick in me. No
- 9:42Speaker 9: matter what you do, no weapon formed against me, nothing
- 9:49Speaker 9: you can't. You can't do nothing with me. Man, I'm
- 9:52Speaker 9: so cool. It's been worth it for me.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Man, you're listening.
- 9:58Speaker 9: Morning show, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. All the

- 23:21Speaker 7: Oh?

- 25:15Speaker 2: the streets. You know what you want. I don't know
- 25:17Speaker 2: what to tell you now.
- 25:19Speaker 14: He ain't like the other man in the first asked
- 25:21Speaker 14: to see a little line about the rock.

- 25:51Speaker 12: and a man smiled at me and spoke. The lady
- 25:54Speaker 12: who was with asked him why he spoke.
- 25:57Speaker 1: It was so rude.
- 25:59Speaker 12: He waited for me the next day and apologized, then
- 26:03Speaker 12: asked me out. He said, he's not married.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Is this situation too risky?
- 26:09Speaker 2: Very risky, very very risky. She mad about to speak it.
- 26:15Speaker 8: Yeah, he was with her.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I mean five, where is she?
- 26:22Speaker 9: Oh?
- 26:23Speaker 4: Girl?
- 26:23Speaker 9: We passed jas try to stare me down. And when
- 26:32Speaker 9: I looked at you, you look at the ground. I
- 26:40Speaker 9: don't know who she is, but I think that you do.
- 26:47Speaker 2: That, gummet. Who is she and what is a she
- 26:54Speaker 2: to you? Now?
- 26:56Speaker 9: After that song played back where if they was walking together,
- 27:00Speaker 9: they was coming from somewhere, walking or walking to somewhere.
- 27:04Speaker 9: You need to find out who.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Is she and what is she to you?
- 27:12Speaker 1: Well, he said he's not married.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Ah, that don't mean nothing. But if she thinks she is,
- 27:21Speaker 2: or if she want to.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Be the problem, she thinks he's her man.
- 27:28Speaker 2: I guess she's mad.
- 27:29Speaker 1: He's speaking to women in front of her.
- 27:33Speaker 9: They may not be married something. But if he didn't
- 27:37Speaker 9: dip the cookie in the milk, believe that.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and then he's over there asking her out.
- 27:44Speaker 9: Well, they already been out. That's why you don't take
- 27:47Speaker 9: walks with nobody. You when the last time you walked
- 27:49Speaker 9: with somebody you don't know.
- 27:51Speaker 1: No, he waited for the woman that was walking her
- 27:53Speaker 1: dog and the next day.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Apology. Yeah, next day she's gonna be out here to
- 27:58Speaker 2: the marble with this dog. I see her. I'm sorry
- 28:00Speaker 2: this happened, you know, And that was just so rude
- 28:05Speaker 2: of her. Listen, Can I make this up to you?
- 28:08Speaker 2: Can I maybe buy you a cup of coffee?
- 28:12Speaker 4: No?
- 28:12Speaker 2: You know? She yeah?
- 28:15Speaker 1: Why is she so upset that you to me?
- 28:18Speaker 9: Well, listen, listen, this is so rude. And that's why
- 28:23Speaker 9: I'm apologizing. Because I was walking her home because she
- 28:29Speaker 9: had just somebody was just flirting with her across the street,
- 28:32Speaker 9: a group of young guys, and I said, wow, well
- 28:34Speaker 9: let me walk with her and stopped. Because I stopped
- 28:37Speaker 9: the young dudes, I said, hey, hey, hey, y'all gonna
- 28:39Speaker 9: be a little bit more respectful than that. And so
- 28:41Speaker 9: I was walking with her, and then when I spoke
- 28:43Speaker 9: to you, that's when she surprised me with this unforeseen
- 28:47Speaker 9: fit of jealousy and rage. And after I walked on
- 28:50Speaker 9: where she was going, I came back here tomorrow apologize
- 28:54Speaker 9: to you because I don't know, I don't know where
- 28:55Speaker 9: that came from.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Are I'm not jail right now?
- 28:59Speaker 8: Oh?
- 28:59Speaker 9: No?
- 29:00Speaker 2: Losing this.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Hollano much. Sometimes you can put too much on it.
- 29:06Speaker 1: See all right, and.
- 29:08Speaker 2: If you don't believe it, but we got to get
- 29:09Speaker 2: a story together, all right.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Thank you, Celo.
- 29:20Speaker 1: We'll have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 29:23Speaker 8: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:28Speaker 1: A lawyer who represented O. J.
- 29:30Speaker 12: Simpson, who died from cancer last week at the age
- 29:32Speaker 12: of seventy six, said Simpson's body will be cremated the
- 29:37Speaker 12: family will have a private celebration of life for friends
- 29:40Speaker 12: and loved ones.
- 29:41Speaker 4: O J.
- 29:41Speaker 12: Simpson had three kids by his first wife, Marguerite Whitley,
- 29:45Speaker 12: and two children with his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson,
- 29:48Speaker 12: whom he divorced back in nineteen ninety two. In nineteen
- 29:52Speaker 12: ninety five, Simpson was famously acquitted in the murder of
- 29:55Speaker 12: his ex wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
- 29:59Speaker 12: In nineteen teen ninety seven, in the civil case, oj
- 30:02Speaker 12: was ordered to pay twenty five million dollars in punitive
- 30:05Speaker 12: damages to the Goldman and Brown families. Since his death,
- 30:09Speaker 12: Ojy's executor and lawyer, Malcolm Laverne, said he wanted to
- 30:13Speaker 12: clarify his comments in which he said he didn't want
- 30:16Speaker 12: Goldman's family to be able to collect any money from
- 30:19Speaker 12: Simpson's estate. Quote in hindsight, he said in response to
- 30:23Speaker 12: that statement that it's my hope to get zero nothing.
- 30:26Speaker 12: I think that's pretty harsh. That's according to attorney Laverne.
- 30:31Speaker 12: Now that I understand my role as the executor and
- 30:34Speaker 12: the personal representative, it's time to tone down the rhetoric
- 30:38Speaker 12: and really get down to what my role is as
- 30:40Speaker 12: a personal representative.
- 30:42Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 30:43Speaker 12: He kind of walked back on some of the harshness
- 30:47Speaker 12: of those statements that he made about the Goldman family
- 30:51Speaker 12: not getting any money.
- 30:55Speaker 2: You know, it's really kind of hard to comment on that.
- 30:58Speaker 2: I don't really know.
- 30:59Speaker 9: You know, look, you know he was acquitted in the trial,
- 31:05Speaker 9: and then he was found guilty in this civil trial.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Well, if you lose in the civil trial, that's what
- 31:11Speaker 2: you have to do. Yeah, you know, hey, yeah you
- 31:14Speaker 2: have to pay.
- 31:15Speaker 12: I mean, I thought it was kind of harsh what
- 31:17Speaker 12: his attorney said in the in the beginning that the
- 31:19Speaker 12: Goldmans are getting nothing.
- 31:21Speaker 2: But then, well, you know, you can't, plus dog, you
- 31:23Speaker 2: can't say that.
- 31:25Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, the all rules and laws to this day,
- 31:29Speaker 9: and I'm pretty sure mister Simpson has no knowledge of
- 31:33Speaker 9: this at this point right now, So I think you
- 31:36Speaker 9: need to just do your damn jobs, need it, and
- 31:40Speaker 9: then let the court process of take its thing.
- 31:44Speaker 12: Yeah, and that's what he's saying. It's time to tone
- 31:46Speaker 12: down the rhetoric and get down to what his role
- 31:49Speaker 12: really is. That's affording to the attorney. All right, we're
- 31:52Speaker 12: gonna move on. In other entertainment news, make a No
- 31:55Speaker 12: Stallion is on the cover of Women's Health magazine.

- 37:55Speaker 9: A friend of mine told me how much he paid,
- 37:58Speaker 9: and uh, it was a staggering figure. A staggering figure.
- 38:05Speaker 9: But then I told him, I said, also, the blessing

- 54:46Speaker 12: keep her composure with her coworkers after all of the
- 54:49Speaker 12: Black Lives Matter movement stuff. Every day she comes home ranting.
- 54:54Speaker 12: She came home ranting over something a coworker said, and
- 54:57Speaker 12: I'm sure she usually took it the wrong way. He Currently,
- 55:01Speaker 12: she's the director of a nonprofit organization that does gardens
- 55:05Speaker 12: and underserved areas of town. She's often featured on the news,
- 55:10Speaker 12: and she's so passionate that it's funny. She's talking about
- 55:13Speaker 12: growing greens and tomatoes, but she sounds like Malcolm X.
- 55:18Speaker 12: Everyone teases her about it, and we always get that
- 55:21Speaker 12: speech about black women are expected to be behind the scenes,
- 55:24Speaker 12: not an authoritative physicians. I tell her all the time
- 55:29Speaker 12: that it's not nineteen sixty and she's got a voice
- 55:32Speaker 12: in today's society.
- 55:33Speaker 1: But she doesn't have to scowl when she talks.
- 55:36Speaker 12: I work for a major food distributor, and our small
- 55:39Speaker 12: division gave bags of food out for Easter so that
- 55:44Speaker 12: one thousand families could have a meal. My wife volunteered,
- 55:48Speaker 12: and I knew she was going to ruin it somehow.
- 55:51Speaker 12: As we were handing out bags to pre selected families,
- 55:55Speaker 12: my wife went to my CEO, who was visiting from Florida,
- 55:59Speaker 12: and asked him if they could only find needy black
- 56:03Speaker 12: people to help out. This woman was mad because we
- 56:06Speaker 12: didn't have but a few white families. My boss turned
- 56:09Speaker 12: bright red and I had to go get my wife.
- 56:12Speaker 12: Steven Shirley, my wife is an activist at the wrong times.
- 56:16Speaker 12: How do I talk some sense into her?
- 56:18Speaker 1: What can I do? You know, she's sounded like Malcolm X.
- 56:24Speaker 12: All right, Definitely props to your wife for her dedication,
- 56:27Speaker 12: for her passion about her community and all that. For
- 56:30Speaker 12: her giving back, that's always a good thing. And here
- 56:34Speaker 12: comes the butt. But you know you can't take your
- 56:37Speaker 12: wife to any more job stuff. You do realize that, okay,
- 56:41Speaker 12: cause she, like you said, ca ruin it for you.
- 56:44Speaker 12: There's a time and a place for everything, and the
- 56:49Speaker 12: place is not at your husband's work event. You do
- 56:53Speaker 12: not confront the CEO. There keyword confront. Okay, you don't
- 56:59Speaker 12: do that. This event is set, people are in place,
- 57:02Speaker 12: things are set to go, Anticipation is high, everyone is
- 57:06Speaker 12: focused on the task at.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Hand in the greater good period. That's what the day
- 57:10Speaker 1: is for. That's what it's all about.
- 57:12Speaker 12: It's not for your wife and her passion to help people,
- 57:15Speaker 12: which at this moment is clouding her judgment. She needs
- 57:18Speaker 12: to understand that what she does affects you. It affects everyone,
- 57:23Speaker 12: not just her. You as her husband, have to remind
- 57:26Speaker 12: her of that. You have to talk to her that way.
- 57:28Speaker 12: Hopefully she'll see that you do support her and her passion,
- 57:32Speaker 12: and maybe she'll listen to you and what you're saying,
- 57:36Speaker 12: because what she doesn't want to do is to jeopardize
- 57:39Speaker 12: everything by finding fault in everything, even when people are
- 57:43Speaker 12: trying to do good.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Steve is Telly There no Tommy stept Away Press second.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Steve yeah. I wanted him to do a reenactment in
- 57:52Speaker 2: the second half of the letter.
- 57:53Speaker 1: But you know, oh he'll be back. Oh he can, yeah, yeah, yeah, but.
- 57:56Speaker 2: He don't if he don't understand the letter.
- 57:59Speaker 4: You know, we can.
- 58:00Speaker 2: You know, I sit through these damn pranks, but you
- 58:02Speaker 2: know you can't sit through these damn man.
- 58:05Speaker 1: But he can.
- 58:06Speaker 9: He busy, he got to go somewhere. He doing the eggless,
- 58:09Speaker 9: trying to get tall this summer. And you know, my
- 58:13Speaker 9: wife is an activist at the wrong times, you damn right.
- 58:17Speaker 3: She is.
- 58:18Speaker 9: Now your wife thirty seven. She volunteers throughout the community.
- 58:22Speaker 9: And now the reason she got a volunteer and because
- 58:26Speaker 9: it's her life passion, it's cause she got fired. See you,
- 58:30Speaker 9: once you get fired from a job, and the word
- 58:33Speaker 9: get out why they fired you? You ain't finna work
- 58:35Speaker 9: nowhere else. Now she volunteer, and now it's her life's passion.
- 58:40Speaker 9: But she got fired after the pandemic because it was
- 58:43Speaker 9: too hard for her to keep her composure with her
- 58:46Speaker 9: coworkers after all the Black Lives Matter movement stuff. Let
- 58:50Speaker 9: me translate that for you. Right after the pandemic, it
- 58:53Speaker 9: was too hard for her to shut her damn mouth
- 58:57Speaker 9: with her coworkers who are white. After all, the Black
- 59:01Speaker 9: Lives Matter movements stuff. Every day she came home ran
- 59:06Speaker 9: over something a coworker said, and I'm sure she usually
- 59:10Speaker 9: took it the wrong way.
- 59:11Speaker 2: Yes, she did.
- 59:13Speaker 9: Currently, she's director of a nonprofit organization that does gardens
- 59:18Speaker 9: in underserved areas Uptown. Yeah, she's often featured on the
- 59:23Speaker 9: news and she's so passionate that it's funny. She talking
- 59:27Speaker 9: about growing greens and tomatoes. But she sounded like Malcolm X.
- 59:32Speaker 1: How did she does that go together?
- 59:34Speaker 9: How did that word I'm about to these tomatoes? I
- 59:38Speaker 9: do these greens? Y'all up in the hill. You know,
- 59:42Speaker 9: we're trying to do the right thing. We do the
- 59:44Speaker 9: right thing. Come out to dirt. That's what dirt is.
- 59:50Speaker 4: Dirt.
- 59:51Speaker 2: But you know here we are.
- 59:52Speaker 9: We always got to push through something. Now you got
- 59:55Speaker 9: us out here farming. Oh, I guess you want us
- 59:59Speaker 9: to get back to picking.
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: Huh.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: But by not even we're picking with a purpose.
- 1:00:05Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: We ain't picking for free. We're picking to volunteer.
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: Feeding the disadvantaged communities and our underserved communities of this city.
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: That's what these gardens is for. Since the government refuses
- 1:00:19Speaker 9: to help us. We have now been relegated to helping ourselves.
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: That's who he is up in hill. I'm about that life.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Anymore.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: Everybody ain't got a great the black thumbs in the neighborhood.
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: We'll have heard two of Steve's response coming up in
- 1:00:38Speaker 12: twenty three minutes after the hour deal.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry letter. Subject my wife is an act.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: It means necessary at the wrong time. We're gonna grow crops.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Back after this. You're listening.
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: Morning show.
- 1:00:55Speaker 12: Let's recap Steve Today's strawberry letter. The subject is my
- 1:00:59Speaker 12: wife is an activists at the wrong times.
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: Yeah, this woman is used to work at a job,
- 1:01:06Speaker 9: but then she got fired because after the pandemic, all
- 1:01:09Speaker 9: the Black Lives Matter stuff, she couldn't keep her mouth
- 1:01:12Speaker 9: closed down at her job. So now she cussing everybody
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: out every day talking about what the coworker said. When
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: the coworkers trying to work through it too. Her husband
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: said she probably was taking it the wrong way. So
- 1:01:22Speaker 9: now she's the director of a nonprofit organization that feeds
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: the hungry. But now she be on TV all the
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: time with this garden and stuff she's doing. But the
- 1:01:33Speaker 9: man says she sounded like Malcolm X. So you know,
- 1:01:36Speaker 9: we had did a little thing earlier letting you know
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: that she about these tomatoes, she's doing these greens. You
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: know what I'm saying, Like we come from the dirt.
- 1:01:45Speaker 9: I guess now y'all really want us to get back
- 1:01:47Speaker 9: to picking again, But we're not. We serving the underprivileged
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: community and that's it. And it's only because the government
- 1:01:55Speaker 9: itself does not fulfill this obligation and duty to those
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: in the need. So now we got Malcolm X in
- 1:02:02Speaker 9: charge of the nonprofit organization. Well, he took her to
- 1:02:05Speaker 9: work to help with their company giveaway. She met her
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: husband's boss and ran up to her boss talking about
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: she mad at the boss because they only she mad
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: because they could only find needy black people to help out.
- 1:02:21Speaker 9: This woman was mad because we only had a few
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: white families. My boss turned bright red get I had
- 1:02:27Speaker 9: to go get my wife. My wife is an activist
- 1:02:30Speaker 9: at the wrong times. How do I talk some sense
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: of her?
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: What can I do?
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: There's nothing you could do because she is committed to
- 1:02:37Speaker 9: this life. Now the problem is she need to make
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: up who is she?
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Though?
- 1:02:44Speaker 9: If you're gonna be Malcolm X, you can't be white,
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: and you can't be fighting to feed white families.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Damn, lady, you got to make up your mind. You
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: can't be.
- 1:02:59Speaker 9: About Black lives matter and then be pushing the white agenda.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Now listen to me. Let me just say this to you.
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: You can't be Malcolm X and Donald Trump at the
- 1:03:12Speaker 9: same time. You gonna have to You're gonna have to
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: pull yourself together. Now, this is what's gonna happen. I
- 1:03:25Speaker 9: see Tommy's here now, So Tommy, here is this woman
- 1:03:30Speaker 9: who is committed to the culture and black lives matter.
- 1:03:34Speaker 9: She got fired from a job, but now she the
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: director of a nonprofit that gives out food from this
- 1:03:40Speaker 9: garden they make and now white people down.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: There she' mad about that.
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: Her husband wants to talk some sense into her because
- 1:03:48Speaker 9: he is afraid that she's gonna mess this up too.
- 1:03:52Speaker 9: You are now the husband trying to talk some sense
- 1:03:55Speaker 9: into your militant wife, who I have deemed as the
- 1:03:58Speaker 9: Malcolm X of garden and and uh, the Malcolm X
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: of garden and volunteer programs. And you the husband that's
- 1:04:07Speaker 9: trying to save lives. So why are you constantly talking
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: to me? Herman? Maybe you're getting a little. You're taking
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: a little too far. If I could just get you
- 1:04:17Speaker 9: to calm down a little bit, that's all. I'm trying
- 1:04:19Speaker 9: to get you to calm down. Why we calm now?
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: I guess the slaves should have been calm too. If
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: I can just get you to walk a little lighter,
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: that's all. I'm just trying to do. Just this, a
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: little lighter, that's all. Walk lighter as in light skin.
- 1:04:36Speaker 9: Oh so now you want me to walk white. I'm
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: not asking you to walk white.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: I'm not asking you that.
- 1:04:44Speaker 9: I'm not asking I'm just asking you to just be
- 1:04:46Speaker 9: a little bit more open, that's all. That's all I'm saying.
- 1:04:49Speaker 9: Shouldn't we try to save other people as well? Don't
- 1:04:52Speaker 9: you think so?
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Do you even understand what Black Lives Matter was about?
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: I totally understand and what Black Lives Matter means. I
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: understand that. But but all lives matter, baby, right, all.
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: Lives do matter. But when are black lives gonna matter?
- 1:05:09Speaker 9: Like all the rest of the lies.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: I'm not saying all the herman. Okay, Okay, listen.
- 1:05:18Speaker 9: All I'm saying is is if we take a different
- 1:05:22Speaker 9: approach with this, we'll be able to help a lot
- 1:05:24Speaker 9: more people.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Let's just let's just.
- 1:05:25Speaker 9: Take a lot more. We're trying to help our people. Oh,
- 1:05:28Speaker 9: I see what's going on here now? Oh I should
- 1:05:34Speaker 9: Quita Mohammed Abdul too and Uncle Tom?
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Whoa Uncle Tom? That's that's that said? Come on, baby,
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: we marry me and Tom Jackson Herman Tom.
- 1:05:55Speaker 9: Okay, okay, now you got to You're about to mess
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: up our relationship now due to this. You do realize, Oh,
- 1:06:00Speaker 9: our relationship is already messed up when you refuse to
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: join me with the Black Lives Matter movement. My brother,
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: I'm your husband, baby? Why why are you talking to
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: me like this? I mean we we we got married.
- 1:06:16Speaker 9: We I've been relegated to just you are my husband.
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: I guess you are thinking.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: I am your wife? Yes, you are my wife? What
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: are you are you saying?
- 1:06:27Speaker 13: So?
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Now you picking pronouns? I'm not picking anything. You are
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: my wife? Are you not my wife?
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: What?
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: What? What? What? What?
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: What are we talking about? Here? Am I not? I
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: guess not? Then if revolution will not be televised? O?
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: What what?
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: That?

- 1:07:25Speaker 1: It is time now for Junior and Sports Talk. What
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: you got Junior?
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: All right? Shut it in.
- 1:07:30Speaker 10: The w NBA Draft took center stage last night. As expected,
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: Kaitlin Clark goes first.
- 1:07:35Speaker 11: To the Indiana Fever.
- 1:07:38Speaker 10: I didn't even know that they had a team facts,
- 1:07:44Speaker 10: but she gonna stay in the Midwest.
- 1:07:46Speaker 11: She went to the Indiana Fever and you know, girl
- 1:07:49Speaker 11: Angel Reach went seven. She went to the Chicago Sky.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: So said.
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: About that. Go ahead, Angels, where you it's not where
- 1:07:56Speaker 11: you drafted.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: That is how you play girls. Are you worried about that?
- 1:07:59Speaker 10: Kim Bring one second, she had a stand for She
- 1:08:01Speaker 10: went to the La Sparks, but Camilla Cardoza out of
- 1:08:04Speaker 10: South Carolina, she would also went to the Chicago Sky
- 1:08:08Speaker 10: So that means Angel and Camilla.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Gonna be teammates.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: That's gonna be nice, man.
- 1:08:14Speaker 10: But it was a really start staid like those girls
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: look absolutely amazing in the dresses they had on.
- 1:08:19Speaker 11: They looked absolutely amazing.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Yeah they look good, like no, they did. They look
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: like they ready to turn pro.
- 1:08:24Speaker 11: But you know we were talking about this that that
- 1:08:27Speaker 11: means Indiana, it's gonna have a lot of viewership this season.
- 1:08:31Speaker 11: With Kaitlyn Clark coming to.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: You, I was dead to you.
- 1:08:38Speaker 9: Because you know, whoever drafts Kitlyn is going to get
- 1:08:43Speaker 9: the megastar of women's basketball so far in terms of
- 1:08:47Speaker 9: viewership of all time. And that's a big part of it. Now,
- 1:08:51Speaker 9: let's see if it translates into the pro game though.
- 1:08:54Speaker 9: See that, Well, they gotta really figure out what to
- 1:08:58Speaker 9: do in the w NBA with attendants, because if you
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: can get attendants up, you can get TV rights up.
- 1:09:04Speaker 9: You get TV rights up, you get them girls salaries up,
- 1:09:07Speaker 9: those women's salaries up.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's good.
- 1:09:10Speaker 10: The base salary for w NBA player the first year
- 1:09:13Speaker 10: it is under one hundred thousand.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: And that's sad.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: That's that's really is. It's under one hundred.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: No.
- 1:09:20Speaker 9: I don't like that at all, and that's what we want.
- 1:09:25Speaker 9: You've got to put the fans in the seats. You
- 1:09:28Speaker 9: can't own a team and you don't have the fans.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: In the seats. If you watch a w n B
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: A game, they won't even show the crowd half the time.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Sparse marketing, but you know.
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: You got to do a better job of attending. And
- 1:09:43Speaker 9: I just got to tell you, man, women got to
- 1:09:46Speaker 9: support women's sports.
- 1:09:47Speaker 14: Yes, women, everybody has to support women's sports. See, they
- 1:09:51Speaker 14: can't just make money with just all women in the stands.
- 1:09:54Speaker 14: Women go through games.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: But women, I don't keep saying.
- 1:10:00Speaker 8: That you have a pew point.
- 1:10:01Speaker 9: Don't you have to You have to support women's sports.
- 1:10:08Speaker 9: Women have to support women's sports.
- 1:10:13Speaker 12: Are into support excuse me, friends into sports like men are,
- 1:10:17Speaker 12: though they're not.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: That's a fact.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: All right, thank you guys.
- 1:10:29Speaker 12: Coming up at the top of the hour, a woman
- 1:10:31Speaker 12: needs advice on social media, Steve. She says her aunt
- 1:10:34Speaker 12: keeps giving her unsolicited advice. Uh, we'll talk about that
- 1:10:38Speaker 12: right after this.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 1:10:42Speaker 8: Morning show, all right, Steve.
- 1:10:45Speaker 12: This is from Andrea on Steve Harvey FM. She says,
- 1:10:49Speaker 12: my aunt keeps giving me unsolicited advice about raising my
- 1:10:52Speaker 12: children from their diet to their screen time, even though
- 1:10:56Speaker 12: her own kids are frankly a mess. I've been polite
- 1:11:00Speaker 12: so far, but it's getting on my nerves. Should I
- 1:11:02Speaker 12: tell her off and once and for all? Or should
- 1:11:06Speaker 12: I just keep biting my tongue for family peace? Is
- 1:11:09Speaker 12: there a way to set boundaries without causing a family feud?
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Now, I'll try to see how you can do that.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: At this point, I think you have to go and
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: just blasted, just sam blasted. I think it's school that
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: i'd have to have it. Hey, Auntie, listen here.
- 1:11:25Speaker 9: I know you're trying to be helpful, but I don't
- 1:11:29Speaker 9: really want you talking to me about my kids, because
- 1:11:31Speaker 9: I don't think you've done all that dayn good at
- 1:11:33Speaker 9: job with yours.
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: Raymond dropped out.
- 1:11:38Speaker 9: Of school, he getting a ged going down lit Terrell
- 1:11:43Speaker 9: down in Juvie right now. Your daughter is doing fine,
- 1:11:49Speaker 9: she's at least looking like she doing well in school.
- 1:11:54Speaker 9: But we just caught her smoking weed last week at
- 1:11:56Speaker 9: Grandma's house. Now, and we ain't even gonna talk about
- 1:12:03Speaker 9: Pooky and his little ignorant ant because you down at
- 1:12:08Speaker 9: the school every Friday or something he didn't did and
- 1:12:11Speaker 9: he'd been and he'd been suspended full time.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Please stop talking to me about my children.
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: Okay, now, now, I tell you right now clearly your
- 1:12:21Speaker 9: children are a problem when they got to put out,
- 1:12:23Speaker 9: when they got put out of Sunday school.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: So we're gonna put a stop to.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: This right because shes are a mess, her cousins are a.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Mess, and just point out the mess.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, I.
- 1:12:41Speaker 12: Think we have time for another one, Steve. This is
- 1:12:43Speaker 12: from Vince on Steve Harvey FM. Vince says, my wife
- 1:12:47Speaker 12: and I have hit a rough patch as of late.
- 1:12:49Speaker 12: To work through it, I've suggested couples counseling, but my
- 1:12:53Speaker 12: wife is having no part of it. Even so I've
- 1:12:56Speaker 12: decided that I would go to a therapist alone to
- 1:12:59Speaker 12: try and work through my part of it. Here's a
- 1:13:01Speaker 12: problem lately, whenever I come home from an appointment, she
- 1:13:05Speaker 12: wants to talk about what happened in my session and
- 1:13:08Speaker 12: what am I saying about her. So far, my only
- 1:13:11Speaker 12: response has been that I'm that my therapy sessions are
- 1:13:15Speaker 12: my time and it's none of her business. But I
- 1:13:18Speaker 12: add that if she wants to come along and to
- 1:13:21Speaker 12: be a part of it, she's more than welcome to
- 1:13:23Speaker 12: join me. That's where the conversation iss. But to say
- 1:13:27Speaker 12: things have gotten even more tense is an understatement. Is
- 1:13:31Speaker 12: there a better response to this, or am I right
- 1:13:34Speaker 12: to say my therapy is my business.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: Well, I admire you, brother for wanting to work through it.
- 1:13:40Speaker 9: Cause if it's more and more tense and you want
- 1:13:44Speaker 9: to do something about it, you offer couple's therapy. You
- 1:13:47Speaker 9: thought that was a good idea. She didn't, so you
- 1:13:49Speaker 9: went on there to handle your part of it. There
- 1:13:52Speaker 9: is no other way to do it, man, I mean,
- 1:13:54Speaker 9: but you kate you. You not gonna win this battle
- 1:13:57Speaker 9: by yourself. It take two to tangle it.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: It takes two people to work on the marriage, not
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: one one.
- 1:14:06Speaker 9: I don't know how. I don't know how one fix it.
- 1:14:10Speaker 9: If you want to win in the marriage and she don't,
- 1:14:12Speaker 9: I don't know what.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: To tell you.
- 1:14:15Speaker 9: Yeah, if you think it's a problem in the marriage
- 1:14:18Speaker 9: and she don't, I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: But you're a good dude, though, I'll tell you that
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: you wanted them good men.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: And all she wants to know is what is he
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: saying about her to the therapist?
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: What is he Well, I went to I went to
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: a couple's therapy one time.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: One time, I.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Left therapy and went to the law office.
- 1:14:44Speaker 8: The same day.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Why did I know this is going to be a
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: crazy answer.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Your life and these you done went out there more
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: than once. I went one time. One after that, I
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: made a phone call as soon as I got back
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: to Now you knew you just knew.
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: Yeah, I didn't know what. I don't know what therapist
- 1:15:09Speaker 9: was gonna say in the next session. But but she
- 1:15:11Speaker 9: wasn't gonna be talking to me though, because you were done.
- 1:15:16Speaker 9: Clearly I recognized the problems even if she didn't.
- 1:15:21Speaker 12: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:23Speaker 12: Show coming up at twenty minutes after right after this.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:31Speaker 12: All right, So here's a question. Is Generations Z over
- 1:15:35Speaker 12: social media really?
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: It could be because it's heart huh.
- 1:15:40Speaker 12: It could be because, as hard as it is to believe,
- 1:15:42Speaker 12: the generation raised on social media, Generation Z maybe growing
- 1:15:47Speaker 12: tired of it by now. Last year, the University of
- 1:15:50Speaker 12: Chicago published a report that found that fifty seven percent
- 1:15:54Speaker 12: of college students who are active users of Instagram would
- 1:15:58Speaker 12: quote prefer to live in a world without the platform.
- 1:16:02Speaker 12: Researchers ask the students how much they would have to
- 1:16:06Speaker 12: be paid to get rid of their social media and
- 1:16:08Speaker 12: the average answer about fifty dollars. Something fifty dollars would
- 1:16:14Speaker 12: would make them make their social media go away. So
- 1:16:18Speaker 12: do you guys agree that life would be better without
- 1:16:21Speaker 12: social media?
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: I do? I do?
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: It might be I like Mike, Oh no, oh, I
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: like it.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Right now because we didn't have it growing up and
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: we were fine.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: We were just fine.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we turned out fine.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: Well, I'm liking for what. I don't need it.
- 1:16:45Speaker 9: I don't need it to be successful, and I show
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: don't need it to find out the lies that's out there.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: I don't need.
- 1:16:56Speaker 9: Me and my wife brother David still, are we still together?
- 1:16:58Speaker 9: I say, yeah, baby, I think so was taking pictures
- 1:17:02Speaker 9: of me. So I just wanted to came back over there. Yeah,
- 1:17:05Speaker 9: everything fine.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: I ain't hearing nothing. All right?
- 1:17:08Speaker 12: Coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:17:11Speaker 12: play around it. Would you rather right after this you're listening.
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: Morning show?
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: It is time now for a round it? Would you rather?
- 1:17:21Speaker 12: Would you rather be in extreme heat wearing a ski suit,
- 1:17:26Speaker 12: you know, one of those ski snowsuits, or would you
- 1:17:28Speaker 12: rather be an extreme cold in a bikini or spun suit?
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: Which one?
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: No, I'm gonna take that. I'm gonna be in that heat,
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: not be in the heat, for sure. I'm gonna be
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: in the heat. I know Dan will yeah, in the hospital, right,
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: what about you, Steve, I'm gonna take a hospital. Yeah.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I'd rather be too hot than too cold.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Would you rather wait to uh huh, We're gonna lose
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: some weight with you. Yeah, yeah, you will.
- 1:18:01Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:18:01Speaker 12: We're just talking about social media earlier in the show.
- 1:18:04Speaker 12: So so, would you rather give up social media or
- 1:18:07Speaker 12: eat the same dinner for the rest of your life?
- 1:18:10Speaker 13: Oh?
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: Here was social media? The same food all day.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Dame dinner for the rest of your life, or give
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: up social media? Which one?
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: I don't want to eat the same thing. I don't
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: want to.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: You're gonna have to, Yeah, you're.
- 1:18:26Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm just gonna keep the social media eat chicken
- 1:18:29Speaker 11: for the rest of my life.
- 1:18:30Speaker 9: No, Steve, I'm on social media all the time and
- 1:18:35Speaker 9: still got a damn ship.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: So whatever. Why you hating? I'm gonna eat.
- 1:18:45Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:18:46Speaker 12: Would you rather own just one pair of shoes or
- 1:18:48Speaker 12: just one blazer?
- 1:18:50Speaker 9: Ah?
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: I want to hear his answer, blue cheese.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: One for one pair one blazer. I'm going with the
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: one blader.
- 1:19:07Speaker 9: We have to have a variety of everything else, though,
- 1:19:12Speaker 9: come on, I'm gonna tell I'm gonna take this one.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: Pa, I got to change club.
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: Oh lot boy ho Wait, so you think that you're
- 1:19:25Speaker 9: gonna be able to switch your shoes, but you got
- 1:19:27Speaker 9: to wear the same damn place?
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: Here come blue suit?
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: Would here's one?
- 1:19:42Speaker 12: Would you rather forget your wife's birthday? Or would you
- 1:19:46Speaker 12: rather forget your anniversary?
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Every year?
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Which birthday or anniversary?
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: Oh? You can't do no one of them?
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: Nigga?
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: One?
- 1:19:55Speaker 8: Would you rather?
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: I'd rather have a front tooth?
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: Chill, that's not one of the options.
- 1:20:05Speaker 9: Birthday and knock my front two fout before I forget
- 1:20:10Speaker 9: this crazy ass person's birthday and anniversion every year?
- 1:20:15Speaker 12: But you think birthday or anniversary? Which is more important?
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: Are they both equally?
- 1:20:19Speaker 6: At the.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Okay, we can't do either one.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: We can't do that, man.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Birthdays are more important. That's my personal opinion. All Right,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: that's today's round of would you rather? Coming up?
- 1:20:36Speaker 12: It's our last break of the day, and we'll close
- 1:20:38Speaker 12: out the show with the one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:20:40Speaker 12: right after this.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: Morning show.
- 1:20:45Speaker 12: Here we are, guys, our last break of the day
- 1:20:48Speaker 12: on this Tuesday, it's been a good day.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: And uh, well, you know, we talked about a lot
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: of stuff.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: Might lead to something.
- 1:21:01Speaker 9: Say it again, Steve, anybody got any questions might lead
- 1:21:05Speaker 9: to something?
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Well, I did want to ask you.
- 1:21:08Speaker 12: We talked about Megan thee Stallion earlier and you kind
- 1:21:11Speaker 12: of made a joke about it. You know, she talked
- 1:21:13Speaker 12: about her workout routine and all of that and what
- 1:21:15Speaker 12: she does, and you kind of made a joke about
- 1:21:18Speaker 12: it about you know, don't try to other people out there,
- 1:21:21Speaker 12: don't try to do what Megan does and think you're
- 1:21:24Speaker 12: going to look like Megan. But but I mean, I
- 1:21:27Speaker 12: think what you really wanted to say, under undertone of
- 1:21:31Speaker 12: that was be the best you you can be.
- 1:21:34Speaker 9: Well, a deeper lying meaning when I joke around like
- 1:21:38Speaker 9: that is even like, you know, I think people.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: I think because of social media. I think because of.
- 1:21:49Speaker 9: Everybody always making comparisons and this person flexing and that
- 1:21:54Speaker 9: person flexing, and then like it, the old saying was
- 1:21:58Speaker 9: keeping up with the Joneses. Yeah, I think people forget
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: that you have a chosen path for yourself too. I
- 1:22:06Speaker 9: think people give up on their chosen path. You know,
- 1:22:11Speaker 9: it's sort of really funny man. I was thinking the
- 1:22:14Speaker 9: other day about a relative of mine and when we
- 1:22:17Speaker 9: were younger, man, he was incredibly talented. I mean, man,
- 1:22:23Speaker 9: this dude man could draw anything. I mean anything man,
- 1:22:29Speaker 9: when we were kids, I mean he his pictures of people.
- 1:22:34Speaker 9: He actually drew people. While we was drawing stick figures,
- 1:22:37Speaker 9: he was drawing people.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: You know, when we were.
- 1:22:41Speaker 9: Making that little side view of a car, he was
- 1:22:44Speaker 9: drawing full fledged cars at angles with tires, with the
- 1:22:48Speaker 9: wheels turning, and the details on the cars were incredible.
- 1:22:52Speaker 9: I was just looking and he took a pin one
- 1:22:55Speaker 9: day and drew a picture of Huckleberry Finn went rabbit hunting,
- 1:23:01Speaker 9: and he was holding the rabbit by his ears. He
- 1:23:04Speaker 9: took a pin and put these dots and drew this
- 1:23:07Speaker 9: picture but in dots. I watched this guy man, and
- 1:23:13Speaker 9: I marveled at his gift, in his talent, and sad
- 1:23:18Speaker 9: to say, he never used it. He never pursued, he
- 1:23:23Speaker 9: never used it. And then I watched another relative of
- 1:23:29Speaker 9: mine who was related only by marriage. It is my
- 1:23:34Speaker 9: daughter in law's brother. This guy was doing some art
- 1:23:39Speaker 9: for me one time because he could draw. He was
- 1:23:41Speaker 9: so talented of an artist. He does tattoos too, and
- 1:23:46Speaker 9: he did his own tattoo on his arm. He did
- 1:23:50Speaker 9: his own tattoo, and then he did a piece of
- 1:23:54Speaker 9: art for me that I liked one time. And then
- 1:23:59Speaker 9: he was getting married and he fell on hard times
- 1:24:02Speaker 9: and he came to me for some help and I
- 1:24:04Speaker 9: helped him out a little bit. And now one time
- 1:24:06Speaker 9: we were talking and he said, hey, man, do you
- 1:24:08Speaker 9: have a job for me? And I said, no, I don't.
- 1:24:12Speaker 9: He said, hey man, you didn't even think about that.
- 1:24:14Speaker 9: I said, I'm not going to give you a job.
- 1:24:17Speaker 9: I said, because, man, you have a gift. I've never
- 1:24:19Speaker 9: seen anybody other than one or other relative I had,
- 1:24:23Speaker 9: who can draw like you. I said, man, why don't
- 1:24:26Speaker 9: you pursue that. That's a great gift you have. Well
- 1:24:31Speaker 9: that was about seven years ago we had this conversation.
- 1:24:36Speaker 9: He just presented Rocky, I mean he asap Rocky and
- 1:24:41Speaker 9: Rihanna a piece of art that he had did for them.
- 1:24:45Speaker 9: He has done Kobe Bryant pictures. He has done pictures
- 1:24:49Speaker 9: for so many people. Now he's came back and done
- 1:24:52Speaker 9: more artwork for me, And all of a sudden I
- 1:24:55Speaker 9: realized he used his gift. He followed his path. The
- 1:25:00Speaker 9: biggest injustice. You can do for yourself is not to
- 1:25:04Speaker 9: follow your path. I don't know how my other really
- 1:25:08Speaker 9: relative really feels. He's retired from his job now and
- 1:25:11Speaker 9: everything you know, and he never used that God given gift.
- 1:25:16Speaker 9: And I often wondered, man, what would he have been?
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: What could he have done had he followed his path.
- 1:25:24Speaker 9: I just I never understood why he didn't pursue it.
- 1:25:27Speaker 9: He just didn't have it any to take the chance.
- 1:25:32Speaker 9: I guess he just didn't have it any to foster
- 1:25:35Speaker 9: the belief in hisself. I don't know what it is,
- 1:25:39Speaker 9: because for me to not follow my path, it's just unthinkable.
- 1:25:44Speaker 9: I just don't know what I would do if I
- 1:25:46Speaker 9: didn't follow my path, if I didn't chase my dreams,
- 1:25:50Speaker 9: if I didn't use this gift.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: I don't know what that is.
- 1:25:54Speaker 9: I am suggesting and employing everybody out there, use your
- 1:25:59Speaker 9: God given gift, because he gave you a gift. If
- 1:26:03Speaker 9: your gift is not tied to your job, if your
- 1:26:06Speaker 9: job is not tied to your gift, you better start
- 1:26:10Speaker 9: pursuing it sooner or later, because these people are gonna
- 1:26:13Speaker 9: take your job from you, age gonna come take you away.
- 1:26:17Speaker 9: You're gonna retire, something gonna happen. They gonna close a plant.
- 1:26:21Speaker 9: If you have a gift, Now, if your gift is
- 1:26:23Speaker 9: teaching and you're a teacher, you doing it. If if
- 1:26:27Speaker 9: you are if if if you're a first responder and
- 1:26:30Speaker 9: that's your gift helping people, police officers, firemen, you know,
- 1:26:34Speaker 9: EP and medical, measical, emergency people, that's your gift.
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: I got it.
- 1:26:40Speaker 9: Tie your gift to your job. But if your job
- 1:26:42Speaker 9: is not tied to your gift, man, stop sitting there
- 1:26:46Speaker 9: and watching your path get away from me. Man, follow
- 1:26:50Speaker 9: your path. Man, it'll it'll be such a rewarding life
- 1:26:54Speaker 9: for you. And it's never too late to do it. Man,
- 1:26:57Speaker 9: But don't sit there with this gift God gave you
- 1:27:00Speaker 9: and do nothing with it, because I just don't know
- 1:27:03Speaker 9: what that ends up for you. Those are my close
- 1:27:06Speaker 9: remarks today. I just want that to encourage somebody, man
- 1:27:10Speaker 9: to follow your path, chase your dream, use your gift.
- 1:27:13Speaker 9: Those are my closes remarks. Hey, y'all talk to God today.
- 1:27:15Speaker 9: He would absolutely love to hear from it.
