- 2:02Speaker 1: of a good morning everybody. Y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now wanted only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Okay, here we go. I was working out.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I was talking to a buddy of mine, and I
- 2:21Speaker 1: was telling him something that Bishop T. D. Jake's told
- 2:24Speaker 1: me one time. I heard him say it. He said,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I would hate to die and not do the thing
- 2:34Speaker 1: that I was born to do. I would hate to
- 2:38Speaker 1: die and not do the theme that I was born
- 2:44Speaker 1: to do. Man, oh man, oh man, man. That hit
- 2:48Speaker 1: me like a like a like a pile of bricks man,
- 2:53Speaker 1: because it made me feel so grateful that God has
- 2:58Speaker 1: allowed me to live my life this way now. And
- 3:05Speaker 1: I'm talking about grateful for all of it, the good,
- 3:09Speaker 1: the bad, and the ugly, and I have had all
- 3:13Speaker 1: of them. The person you see today it ain't always
- 3:18Speaker 1: who I was. It was on the inside of me,
- 3:21Speaker 1: but it hadn't externalized itself, if that's a word. It
- 3:25Speaker 1: hadn't been brought out. It was in here, but it
- 3:28Speaker 1: was under development. Who I am today was a process.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But like I said before, don't trip Hem through with
- 3:39Speaker 1: me yet. Even today, I'm still an imperfect soldier for Christ.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Today I still fall short oftentimes, but I'll tell you what,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I'm ever grateful for the life I have. And you
- 3:58Speaker 1: know what, I want to encourage everybody today to explore
- 4:04Speaker 1: your possibilities. I mean, man, explore your possibilities. Why would
- 4:12Speaker 1: you not want to find out, discover, or know what
- 4:21Speaker 1: it is God got for you? Why would you not
- 4:25Speaker 1: want to achieve or accomplish all of your possibilities? Now,
- 4:30Speaker 1: as I ask you this question, I want you to
- 4:33Speaker 1: know that the devil is busy, that he plays mind tricks.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So as you hear this, I already know he's saying
- 4:40Speaker 1: to some of y'all, Yeah, Steve, that's easy for you
- 4:43Speaker 1: to say, But I didn't get myself in this situation
- 4:46Speaker 1: right here. Ain't nothing too hard for God? Nothing, nothing
- 4:53Speaker 1: and see. So as you listen to me, try to
- 4:57Speaker 1: try to get your mind open to this. Why would
- 5:00Speaker 1: you not want to explore all of your life's possibilities,
- 5:05Speaker 1: what's possible with your life? And I'm talking about from
- 5:09Speaker 1: right where you are right now. I'm not asking you
- 5:12Speaker 1: to change, I'm not asking you to do anything. I'm
- 5:16Speaker 1: telling you this is a fact that God can get
- 5:19Speaker 1: you from right where you are right now. Broken, misled, misguided, misunderstood, mistaken,
- 5:34Speaker 1: all of that, misfortunate, all of the missus you've been
- 5:39Speaker 1: talking about in your life. You know you. I missed
- 5:42Speaker 1: the lottery, I missed my ride. They fired me, I
- 5:47Speaker 1: missed the deadline. I didn't get it. Miss people people
- 5:51Speaker 1: just miss stay self to death. If you've been all
- 5:55Speaker 1: in missus, God can get you from right where you are.
- 6:00Speaker 1: God a home run hitter. I'm here to tell you
- 6:02Speaker 1: that he's a home run hitter. He's a put him
- 6:05Speaker 1: over the wall whenever he want to, all the time.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And you can be a recipient of some of these
- 6:10Speaker 1: home runs. He'll put the bat in your hand. But
- 6:12Speaker 1: you got to sway now, listen to me. You got
- 6:16Speaker 1: to stop feeling sorry for yourself. You got to stop
- 6:19Speaker 1: holding yourself down with beating yourself up. He won't hold
- 6:22Speaker 1: you down about it if you don't hold yourself down
- 6:25Speaker 1: about it. But I'm gonna tell you one more time.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The devil is busy. So what the devil do is
- 6:30Speaker 1: He makes you think you ain't worthy. He makes you
- 6:33Speaker 1: think that you've done something so despicable that you can't
- 6:36Speaker 1: come back from it. He makes you feel like you're
- 6:38Speaker 1: so low you can't go up high. He knocked you
- 6:41Speaker 1: down and make you feel like you've been knocked down
- 6:43Speaker 1: harder than anybody else. You can't get up. He rolled
- 6:45Speaker 1: you so deep down in that ditch you can't see
- 6:47Speaker 1: over the edge. God can come get you from no
- 6:51Speaker 1: matter where you are. I'm telling you, man, you ain't
- 6:55Speaker 1: in no hole too deep for God. Magic Johnson to
- 6:59Speaker 1: tell you that. Listen to me. You ain't in no
- 7:02Speaker 1: hole too deep for God. Steve Harvey can tell you
- 7:04Speaker 1: that you ain't in a hole too deep for God.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Tyler Perry can tell you that. I can name you
- 7:11Speaker 1: some people. Bishop Jake can tell you that. I could
- 7:14Speaker 1: tell you. Kenneth Alma can tell you that. Bishop Kenneth Olman,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I could tell you some people. Kirk Franklin can tell
- 7:19Speaker 1: you that. Donnie mcclarkton can tell you that I just
- 7:22Speaker 1: know some people personally man that they've been in a hole.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Joel Oldstein can tell your body. I know some people
- 7:29Speaker 1: man been down, been in a hole so deep, I
- 7:32Speaker 1: bet you. Paula Deane can tell you about it. See.
- 7:37Speaker 1: But but you know what, then here we go, see
- 7:39Speaker 1: we see see you know, see we don't. We don't
- 7:43Speaker 1: like to talk about that because now we want everybody
- 7:45Speaker 1: to pay extra hard for some mistakes they made when
- 7:49Speaker 1: clearly and excuse me for being a new Christian, But
- 7:52Speaker 1: there is a prayer that I've been saying since I
- 7:54Speaker 1: was a little bitty boy, and it took me till
- 7:56Speaker 1: I was a grown man to understand it. Forgive us
- 7:59Speaker 1: our trust pass as we forgive those who trust passed
- 8:02Speaker 1: against us. So see, it ain't my job to hold
- 8:05Speaker 1: nobody down, to keep my knee on somebody's neck. Who
- 8:09Speaker 1: am I. I'm gonna need some forgiveness in a second here,
- 8:12Speaker 1: probably today. See so all this, you're holding people down
- 8:17Speaker 1: with the way you feel in bout the man. She
- 8:20Speaker 1: shouldn't have said this, and she will never get it.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I never support this again. Man, Get up, Get up
- 8:25Speaker 1: and get real. You're for real. You think you ain't
- 8:27Speaker 1: fit the need forgiveness real soon you ain't fa make
- 8:30Speaker 1: a diabolical mistake in your life. You don't think you are.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I have thousands of them, probably gonna make a few
- 8:36Speaker 1: hundred more for I get up out of here. So
- 8:39Speaker 1: I've decided to be in a forgiving business because I
- 8:43Speaker 1: want God to forgive my trust passes as I forgive
- 8:47Speaker 1: those who trust passed against me. You understand. See excuse
- 8:51Speaker 1: me for being a new Christian. I get I get
- 8:54Speaker 1: tired of talking to pistol, to people man supposed to
- 8:57Speaker 1: be saved, and talking about the dead Christian. I don't
- 8:59Speaker 1: want that religion. Man. I ain't in that no more.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I ain't in that. You can call me wrong if
- 9:03Speaker 1: you want to saying how you want to say. I
- 9:05Speaker 1: ain't in that no more. I ain't in all that.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You can feel how you want to feel about me.
- 9:09Speaker 1: But I got proof that God work in my life.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You know, I can't hardly get it out sometime when
- 9:14Speaker 1: people ask me something about deeper on the inside of me,
- 9:16Speaker 1: about my soul and how I used to being, and
- 9:19Speaker 1: my journey and my trip because people don't know the
- 9:21Speaker 1: trip I've been on. You ain't been on one worse
- 9:23Speaker 1: than me. But you know what, you ain't in a
- 9:25Speaker 1: hole too deep. God can't get you out of. Man.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I wish, I want. I want people to remember that man,
- 9:31Speaker 1: God is a redeemer, He the Great I am. So
- 9:35Speaker 1: if you ain't got nothing, now what you asking for?
- 9:38Speaker 1: You know you might not have nothing because you ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: asking for nothing. Could asking God to get you out
- 9:43Speaker 1: of debt and ask God for a life of abundance.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Then you take the money and you get out of debt.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You keep asking to get out of debt. You keep
- 9:50Speaker 1: being in debt to get out of Come on, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: what you're asking God? Fault? I'm just tripping to day,
- 9:55Speaker 1: That's all. I'm sorry. I apologize. You're listening to morning show,

- 11:05Speaker 1: I hope this is the day he joined. He always
- 11:07Speaker 1: joined you. You know it's gonna be so stupid. He

- 11:18Speaker 1: watch watch learn We're gonna learn something. What tom when
- 11:28Speaker 1: the last time you learn something and take something to walk?
- 11:33Speaker 1: I've learned how to kill a fly when he on
- 11:38Speaker 1: top of the fly swatter? You see what I'm saying, Boy,
- 11:41Speaker 1: I know I know how to do things I learned.
- 11:45Speaker 1: How do you do that? Yeah? You hit him with
- 11:49Speaker 1: your hands. I mean you have to. I mean he
- 11:54Speaker 1: owned nothing you can do. You can't tell him to
- 11:57Speaker 1: wait and get off to kill out with your hand.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Those days are done. Brow, it's not gross. He can't Okay, okay, okay,
- 12:09Speaker 1: y'all got a better way to kill a fly, Tommy,
- 12:13Speaker 1: the man told, yes, I have the pect me with
- 12:18Speaker 1: the other flies water rolling like that. Hey, let's not
- 12:29Speaker 1: compete and see who's the poorest. Two fly swatters and
- 12:34Speaker 1: that expensive? Just about that? Right? Hey, I have never
- 12:43Speaker 1: seen ray kill nothing. I ain't gonna lie to dog.
- 12:48Speaker 1: What kind of the bugs is that? Chill house strong? Hell,
- 12:52Speaker 1: you ain't seen ray kills. You must be outside the
- 13:00Speaker 1: woods when you came in the woods. They're afraid. On
- 13:04Speaker 1: the commercial, you must not be getting the coffin raid
- 13:07Speaker 1: because the colfing raid ass out. I'm sorry that well
- 13:18Speaker 1: as stupid today that started. Yeah, to waste any time
- 13:25Speaker 1: on that one with your damn though. That's nasty. All right, listen,
- 13:33Speaker 1: uh coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:36Speaker 1: we're gonna do ask the clo the cloth the chief
- 13:40Speaker 1: Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building. Right, you're listening
- 13:45Speaker 1: to show Steve. Now time for as oh, I know
- 13:51Speaker 1: you're ready. This one is from THEA, who is an
- 13:53Speaker 1: online listener. THEA says, I've been dating a great man
- 13:57Speaker 1: for a year, and he's going through a divorce and
- 13:59Speaker 1: fighting for custody for his twelve year old daughter. I
- 14:02Speaker 1: met his daughter and we got along fine until recently.
- 14:06Speaker 1: My boyfriend has tons of new pictures of me in
- 14:09Speaker 1: his phone, so I'm not sure why he let his
- 14:12Speaker 1: daughter use his phone. The other day, she scrolled through
- 14:15Speaker 1: all of the pictures and didn't say a word to him,
- 14:19Speaker 1: but went and told her mom about them. Now she
- 14:22Speaker 1: is not allowed to see her dad. My boyfriend told
- 14:24Speaker 1: me that I'm too risky to date right now and
- 14:27Speaker 1: the relationship is jeopardizing his custody battle. Should I fight
- 14:31Speaker 1: for him or let it soon to be ex wife
- 14:33Speaker 1: win the fight. Wait a minute, hold of let me
- 14:37Speaker 1: stop you right now. He's not getting custody of the girl.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I don't know what he didn't told you. I don't
- 14:45Speaker 1: know what you think this is about. But they do
- 14:48Speaker 1: not take children from women who are fit mothers now
- 14:53Speaker 1: unless this woman is unfit some medical reasons, something wrong.
- 14:57Speaker 1: They don't take children from their mother. He can get
- 15:00Speaker 1: joint custody, he can get visitation. He's not getting custody
- 15:05Speaker 1: of a girl. And now that y'all got the naked videos,
- 15:11Speaker 1: pictures you going to court yourself naked? So should she
- 15:21Speaker 1: fight for him Steve or let's fight fight for him
- 15:25Speaker 1: to be ex wife win the fight? Yeah? I don't.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I don't. I don't understand how his ex wife is
- 15:31Speaker 1: winning the fight. What is the fight that she's trying
- 15:35Speaker 1: to accomplish? I don't understand. Well, her boyfriend told her
- 15:38Speaker 1: that she's too risky to date right now. The relationship
- 15:42Speaker 1: is jeopardizing the custody battle, So she wants to know
- 15:45Speaker 1: should she hang in there with him and fight for
- 15:48Speaker 1: him or just let it go and let the wife win. No,
- 15:51Speaker 1: the question is is he going to fight for you? Exactly?
- 15:55Speaker 1: This isn't your fight at all. That's the only question.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Is he gonna fight for you? And he already told
- 16:02Speaker 1: you you two? Damn risky? And what did the judge
- 16:07Speaker 1: tell me on my talk show one time? Don't let
- 16:10Speaker 1: a man have to tell you he don't? Won't you twice? Wow? Okay,
- 16:16Speaker 1: next question? All right, lust full and Tampa close. I've
- 16:21Speaker 1: been knowing my husband since I was sixteen and we're
- 16:24Speaker 1: both thirty nine now. He's the only man I've ever
- 16:27Speaker 1: been with. But he's had two affairs since we've been
- 16:29Speaker 1: married and I forgave him. Sex with him is great,
- 16:32Speaker 1: but I don't have anything to compare it to. I
- 16:35Speaker 1: lust after other men, and I fantasize about having passionate
- 16:38Speaker 1: sex with other men. I have a male friend that
- 16:40Speaker 1: I've known as long as my husband, and he's willing
- 16:43Speaker 1: to give me the experience I desire with no strings attached.
- 16:48Speaker 1: He and my husband are friendly, but not close friends.
- 16:51Speaker 1: The lust is taking over my body. Should I do him? Yeah?
- 16:57Speaker 1: It sounded like you're going to me, she got a
- 17:03Speaker 1: control right now. Boy, it sounds to me like she gone,
- 17:07Speaker 1: she's gonna do it. She gone. Now are they married? Yeah? Yeah,
- 17:11Speaker 1: it's her husband. She's known him since she was sixteen. Yeah, okay,
- 17:15Speaker 1: they're thirty nine now, Well it sounds like she got
- 17:18Speaker 1: her mind made though. Yeah. Well I will say this
- 17:21Speaker 1: though I don't just just I'm just gonna say this.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I don't know, well, I don't know when their fans was.
- 17:29Speaker 1: That's none of my business. I'm just saying that is
- 17:32Speaker 1: always some other good six Because she says she has
- 17:42Speaker 1: nothing to compare it to. She's none him since she
- 17:44Speaker 1: was sixteen. Okay, Well, I have some comparisons, telling you, right, Now,
- 17:53Speaker 1: back in the day, there was always so should she
- 17:58Speaker 1: do him? I guess, uh what happened? She going with
- 18:01Speaker 1: that and that's better what happens then? Well, no, no,
- 18:11Speaker 1: Jay ain't lying. Now it's gonna be better because it
- 18:14Speaker 1: ain't nothing attached to it. Yeah, oh, yes, you know
- 18:19Speaker 1: you ain't gotta talk about bills, kids all this. Oh,
- 18:22Speaker 1: it's gonna be better. But it's gonna cost you something though. Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Now the question is do you want to pay what
- 18:29Speaker 1: that better cost? And you're gonna find out real quick
- 18:32Speaker 1: it ain't that good? All right? Well you took him
- 18:37Speaker 1: back after he had to affairs good? All right? Uh,
- 18:41Speaker 1: cell should have Jake gonna be a point where it's
- 18:46Speaker 1: damn delicious. It's gonna cost you though. Yeah, you're gonna
- 18:51Speaker 1: be Can I take a bullet at home, because that's
- 18:54Speaker 1: gonna be real? All right? Michael and Charlotte Cielo says,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm in my early thirties with a great job that
- 19:02Speaker 1: has lots of traveling involved. I met a beautiful woman
- 19:05Speaker 1: in February on a trip to Florida. We've had a
- 19:08Speaker 1: long distance relationship, but she only comes to visit me.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I've never visited her. She told me she's a personal trainer,
- 19:15Speaker 1: and she goes to bed early because she's got to
- 19:17Speaker 1: get to the gym early. My boys met her and
- 19:19Speaker 1: couldn't stop talking about how fine she is. One of
- 19:22Speaker 1: my boys swears she's a stripper in Miami, and he
- 19:25Speaker 1: said we should go see. I like this woman, so
- 19:28Speaker 1: I want to know the truth. Should I ask her
- 19:30Speaker 1: straight out? Should I ask her straight out? Or just
- 19:33Speaker 1: show up at her job? Sure? At what job? At
- 19:37Speaker 1: her sister? Strip job? A minute? Show up a strip job?
- 19:44Speaker 1: Why you gotta go see if that's help. Well, he
- 19:51Speaker 1: doesn't believe it. His voice swear that she is. He
- 19:54Speaker 1: doesn't know that for sure. He wants to go see
- 19:57Speaker 1: to proof. You know he needs proof. I guess. I
- 20:00Speaker 1: mean she told him in great shape, don't mean she's
- 20:03Speaker 1: a strip of the majority of woman I notice in
- 20:05Speaker 1: great shape, age trip. Well, she told him she's a
- 20:08Speaker 1: personal trainer, so why would that not be? She got
- 20:13Speaker 1: an IG page. But if she had the strip club working,
- 20:19Speaker 1: you're not mad at that either, nephew. That's training. Those
- 20:24Speaker 1: ladies are acrobats, I tell you, yes they do. But
- 20:32Speaker 1: you can't get none of them to belong to you,
- 20:34Speaker 1: though some people do some people do it happened, I'm
- 20:43Speaker 1: not to get the show picked up now, you know,
- 20:45Speaker 1: man to a scripple, So just whole tight of turning problem.
- 20:49Speaker 1: You know, read to you might be married to a scripple,
- 20:54Speaker 1: but she's married to the pole. Up next, the nephew
- 20:58Speaker 1: would run that frank back right after this. You're listening
- 21:02Speaker 1: to morning show. Well, guys, coming up at the top
- 21:05Speaker 1: of the hour, we will have Attorney Benjamin Crump to
- 21:09Speaker 1: talk about the whole Brianna Taylor aftermath and what can
- 21:12Speaker 1: we do now? But right now the nephew with today's
- 21:15Speaker 1: run that prank back? What's your gut for us today?
- 21:17Speaker 1: Math be boo, b boo be big boo? Why is
- 21:31Speaker 1: it a go yesterday? I don't that's the the way
- 21:37Speaker 1: you can get away with bass singing booches. Yeah, come on,
- 21:45Speaker 1: cat be books. May we all stand? Please be big
- 21:52Speaker 1: bull Hello, hellong, time to speak to Chlise. She's out
- 21:58Speaker 1: here right now. If I take a message, Uh, do
- 22:01Speaker 1: you know when she's coming back? Nah? Is this a
- 22:04Speaker 1: business calls him? No? No, this personal. I need to
- 22:06Speaker 1: talk to her immediately. No, you need to talk to me.
- 22:09Speaker 1: This this a man? Who is this? This is This
- 22:12Speaker 1: is Brandon? Who? Who? Who are you? I'm earnest Man.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But why do you know? She nice? I got a
- 22:18Speaker 1: bit of a situation here, man. Uh. And it's basically
- 22:22Speaker 1: a financial situation that I'm owed some money from her.
- 22:26Speaker 1: So I kind of need to talk to her about
- 22:28Speaker 1: about getting this money. Uh. Is totally disrupted my whole apartment.
- 22:34Speaker 1: And I need to actually see about talking to her
- 22:36Speaker 1: about getting this whole problem taking care of what what's
- 22:39Speaker 1: the what's the situation, What's what's the what's going on?
- 22:41Speaker 1: I mean, I'm basically right now, I'm twenty five hundred
- 22:46Speaker 1: dollars in the rears due to due to Charinie and
- 22:50Speaker 1: and I, you know, I need to see if she's
- 22:53Speaker 1: gonna be able to pay me for this situation or what.
- 22:56Speaker 1: You know, my third owe you money. She owes me
- 22:59Speaker 1: twenty five hundred, twenty five hundred dollars for what. I

- 23:19Speaker 1: Shanni's been coming through okay for the last three or
- 23:22Speaker 1: four months, been coming over here to my spot, to
- 23:24Speaker 1: my apartment, hanging out. I'm just now finding out within
- 23:28Speaker 1: the last two weeks it's I had to get rid
- 23:31Speaker 1: of my couch. I had to get rid of my
- 23:33Speaker 1: mattresses because the mattress, because it's been hatress women do
- 23:38Speaker 1: Wait a minute, so you're trying to tell me she
- 23:39Speaker 1: was in your bed. Yeah, she's been in my bed. Dude,

- 26:06Speaker 1: worry about that. It's gonna be a casket wrapped around

- 26:11Speaker 1: creating the trauma with me? When me, me and you,
- 26:13Speaker 1: we ain't even the problem. The problem is Shanique. The
- 26:16Speaker 1: problem is you picked up your phone and you call here.
- 26:18Speaker 1: That's the problem. What you guys will do because you
- 26:21Speaker 1: ain't got no couch, you ain't got no mattress. Now
- 26:24Speaker 1: you gotta do that. You understand what I'm saying. You

- 26:28Speaker 1: do Shannie get home? Man, don't worry if I when
- 26:30Speaker 1: Shanis get home. I wish you need to worry if

- 26:37Speaker 1: don't have you learn how your mattress too, please understand
- 26:40Speaker 1: you're gonna be resting real way. Okay, okay, So so
- 26:43Speaker 1: let me ask you this here. Man, Shanni's bringing bad
- 26:45Speaker 1: bugs over to my house. Leave them all in my mattress,
- 26:48Speaker 1: leave them all over my couch. Where I gotta throw
- 26:50Speaker 1: my stuff away? Where I'm wrong? In, man, where I'm wrong?
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna ask you straight up? Did you know she
- 26:56Speaker 1: had a man? Say? What? Did you know she had
- 26:58Speaker 1: a man? But I mean kind of kind of saughta
- 27:01Speaker 1: but not really though, you don't kind of saught the
- 27:04Speaker 1: man even you know she got a man? Know she
- 27:05Speaker 1: don't got a man? You know she had a man? Right?
- 27:08Speaker 1: And you still win? Dy? Right? They do. I ain't
- 27:10Speaker 1: got nothing to do with y'all. Man, I'm dealing with
- 27:13Speaker 1: these bid bugs. You understand I'm saying. Dude, do you
- 27:16Speaker 1: understand you messing up a full year relationship? You know,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I'm a time I put in with this woman, full years.
- 27:22Speaker 1: We're about to get what's about to get married, and
- 27:23Speaker 1: you're calling here with this. What are y'all supposed to
- 27:26Speaker 1: get married? Don't worry about what we're supposed to get married. Man,
- 27:29Speaker 1: you messed that all up. What I'm trying to explain
- 27:31Speaker 1: you is, dude, you're calling here on some big bug,
- 27:34Speaker 1: which I know she ain't got nothing to do with.
- 27:36Speaker 1: But the fact that you told me that she was
- 27:37Speaker 1: over your house and your bad that's over. It's over now.
- 27:41Speaker 1: You understand what I'm saying. Now we see get home.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna deal with that. You understand what I'm saying.
- 27:45Speaker 1: That's gonna get done with. I'm walking up out of here.
- 27:48Speaker 1: But when I leave here, please believe my next stop
- 27:50Speaker 1: is to come find your print. Of all, how did
- 27:52Speaker 1: you get the number to this apartment? That's what I
- 27:54Speaker 1: want to know. They do. She gave me both numbers,
- 27:57Speaker 1: the cell phone number in the house number told me,
- 27:59Speaker 1: you know, if it's an emergency, called the house. Okay,
- 28:01Speaker 1: and this is an emergency. Yeah, that's an emergency. I
- 28:04Speaker 1: got bad learning another emergency number learning nine one one.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Because when I come down on your dog, did you
- 28:11Speaker 1: come out on you handle it? Or you better call
- 28:12Speaker 1: the cops. You understand what I'm trying to tell you. Hey, man,
- 28:16Speaker 1: do you think Tommy will pay for the bad bugs?
- 28:19Speaker 1: Who is Tommy? I'm just saying, do you think Tommy
- 28:21Speaker 1: will pay for the bad bug? Who it's Tommy? Tommy
- 28:24Speaker 1: dog nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ernest,
- 28:29Speaker 1: you just got brained by your girl shot niece man. Y'all,
- 28:36Speaker 1: y'all or hey, it was over. It was over. You
- 28:43Speaker 1: understand what I'm telling you? Now you have it. Bad bugs,
- 28:48Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Bad bug. Your wife bringing bad bug
- 28:54Speaker 1: over here. Okay, I need a new kyud in a bed.
- 29:01Speaker 1: All right, We're gonna fix this problem. Yeah, thank you, nephew,
- 29:05Speaker 1: And we're gonna switch gears at the top of the
- 29:08Speaker 1: hour and get serious. We're going to talk to our
- 29:10Speaker 1: good friends civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump about the whole
- 29:13Speaker 1: Brianna Taylor Aftermath that's coming up right after this. You're
- 29:17Speaker 1: listening to show, right everybody. We have a special call
- 29:24Speaker 1: right now. We're gonna be talking with one of the
- 29:27Speaker 1: hardest working people for rights and justice for us as
- 29:31Speaker 1: a people. Please, welcome to the show, Attorney Benjamin Crump.
- 29:35Speaker 1: How are you holding team here in Louisville, Kentucky? Were
- 29:38Speaker 1: fire Brianna's family trying to make sure people know about
- 29:43Speaker 1: this sham grand jury that Mitch McConnell's not son in law,
- 29:48Speaker 1: he's married to Mitch McConnell's niet. Yeah. So Attorney Crump, Sir,
- 29:54Speaker 1: how does this work because the attorney general has something
- 29:58Speaker 1: to do with the grand What's what's the exact situation, Steve,
- 30:03Speaker 1: is just like any of the grand jury where you
- 30:06Speaker 1: have the prosecutor and his lawyers are the only ones
- 30:11Speaker 1: in the jury room except the late people. So quite literally,
- 30:17Speaker 1: ninety nine point nine nine nine nine percent of the time, Seed,
- 30:22Speaker 1: their grand jury is going to do exactly what that prosecutor,
- 30:28Speaker 1: that attorney general wants them to do. Is that because
- 30:33Speaker 1: when the prosecuting an attorney general and the prosecutor in
- 30:37Speaker 1: the room, they're going to lay out the case that
- 30:41Speaker 1: best gets the outcome that they want. Exactly, Steve, it
- 30:45Speaker 1: is exactly that they're giving all the answers evidence that says,
- 30:49Speaker 1: to these late people, these regular people, we are recommending
- 30:53Speaker 1: you charge this person with this crime based on this evidence.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Were feeling this wasted. We think it's conclusive, we think
- 31:02Speaker 1: it's an objective. And that's what they say. And the
- 31:06Speaker 1: grand jury would do everything that the prosecutor wants them
- 31:09Speaker 1: to do. And it happens every day when a little
- 31:13Speaker 1: black as brown people come up, they get charged with
- 31:16Speaker 1: polit no evidence at all because the prosecutor said do it.
- 31:20Speaker 1: But when it's a police officer charged with killing a
- 31:24Speaker 1: person of color, it seems they can never get an indictment.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Attorney Clump, I look at all these situations and oftentimes
- 31:32Speaker 1: say to myself, if this was a white woman in
- 31:35Speaker 1: her bed with her man and some police officers of
- 31:40Speaker 1: any color go in and kill this woman, I have
- 31:45Speaker 1: to think that there has to be some type of consequence.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Now if you throw in the fact that this officer
- 31:50Speaker 1: were black. We saw that playout somewhere in Minneapolis when
- 31:55Speaker 1: the white woman from Australia is in the dark alley,
- 31:58Speaker 1: absolutely own drugs, and the people call the police on
- 32:02Speaker 1: her and the black officer from Ethiopia shot her. Not
- 32:07Speaker 1: only did she get twenty million dollars, but they convicted
- 32:11Speaker 1: him and sent him to prison for fifteen years. And
- 32:15Speaker 1: so it is who said latter day when the victim
- 32:19Speaker 1: is white. But I do want to say this, Steve,
- 32:22Speaker 1: because I think part of what we have to do
- 32:25Speaker 1: now in the aftermath of Brianna Taylor's grand jury, but
- 32:29Speaker 1: also preserving her legacy, is to educate, engage, and empower
- 32:35Speaker 1: our community. And so when we think about this grand
- 32:39Speaker 1: jury proceeding. We have to say what evidence did the
- 32:44Speaker 1: Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron present to that grand jury
- 32:50Speaker 1: and did he present any evidence on behalf of Brianna Taylor?
- 32:56Speaker 1: And if he did not, Steve, then he unilaterally put
- 33:00Speaker 1: his thumbs on the scales of justice to help exonerate
- 33:06Speaker 1: these killer cops who murder this black woman in the
- 33:10Speaker 1: sanctity of her own home. And he made certain that
- 33:14Speaker 1: Brihanna wouldn't get her due process, wouldn't get her day
- 33:17Speaker 1: in court, and essentially get no justice. And so we
- 33:21Speaker 1: are demanding that he released the transcript from the grand
- 33:27Speaker 1: jury proceedings so we can see if anybody spoke for
- 33:32Speaker 1: Brihanna Taylor in that grand jury proceedings because Steve Harber,
- 33:36Speaker 1: you know, he never mentioned her name on the indictment.
- 33:41Speaker 1: The indictment of wanton endangerment was for her white next
- 33:46Speaker 1: door neighbors that bullets went into the apartment, not for
- 33:50Speaker 1: bullet going into Brihanna's apartment, not for bullets going into
- 33:54Speaker 1: the black neighbor where a bullet went into her apartment
- 33:58Speaker 1: who lived above us, but not even wanting endangerment or murder,
- 34:05Speaker 1: but the bullet that mutilated Brianna Taylor's body, And so
- 34:10Speaker 1: we want to know what did he present to the
- 34:13Speaker 1: grand jury? Well, the Attorney General is I mean, he's
- 34:18Speaker 1: put there, he's hand picked, he's he's gotten in. We
- 34:22Speaker 1: clearly know who is. He's spoken Republican National Convention. His
- 34:27Speaker 1: mentor is okay, okay, okay. So let me ask you
- 34:34Speaker 1: this question, because this is I'm hearing. I'm trying to
- 34:38Speaker 1: work this out with so many people were having this discussion.
- 34:42Speaker 1: The family that received the settlement of twelve million dollars,
- 34:49Speaker 1: is anything in this something? I know the family is upset.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Please know I'm all for the family. I'm trying to
- 34:56Speaker 1: figure out. Is the Attorney General using this as okay,
- 35:02Speaker 1: we gave this settlement so that clears us to move forward?
- 35:06Speaker 1: How we want to see when we reached that historic
- 35:10Speaker 1: landmark settlement last week, what was for twelve million dollars,
- 35:15Speaker 1: which was very significant Steve because it represented one of
- 35:19Speaker 1: the largest amounts ever paid out to a black woman
- 35:24Speaker 1: in a room for death involving a police shooting in
- 35:28Speaker 1: America because most of the time when they kill black women,
- 35:32Speaker 1: they are disrespected and marginalized. And the family may may
- 35:38Speaker 1: get a million dollars if they get anything. So this
- 35:42Speaker 1: was a precedent setting settlement to hopefully raise the value
- 35:47Speaker 1: of black women lives in America and also to speak
- 35:52Speaker 1: to the fact that we have to respect black women
- 35:56Speaker 1: like we respect everybody else. Hold on one second, we'll
- 35:59Speaker 1: be bright back with more from Attorney Benjamin Crump. Everybody,
- 36:07Speaker 1: we're back and we're having an in depth discussion. We're
- 36:10Speaker 1: talking about the Berihanna Taylor's situation or the horrible thing
- 36:14Speaker 1: that has happened in this country again, and we're here
- 36:18Speaker 1: with Attorney Benjamin Crump's especially to Brianna Taylor's mother, who says,
- 36:25Speaker 1: more important than the money, I am trying to define
- 36:28Speaker 1: the legacy of my daughter. Yeah, And in that legacy,
- 36:33Speaker 1: she said she wanted to try to prevent future Brianna
- 36:37Speaker 1: Taylor's from happenings. So she insisted that we have systematic
- 36:43Speaker 1: reform in this settlement. And so the City of Louisville,
- 36:47Speaker 1: I applaud their mirror and their leadership because they went
- 36:52Speaker 1: real sweeping on this reform. And I just give you
- 36:55Speaker 1: the bullet points because it had served as a model
- 36:59Speaker 1: for other cities around America and dealing with how we
- 37:03Speaker 1: try to prevent this from happening in the future. They
- 37:06Speaker 1: number one said that they are going to incentiviz police
- 37:11Speaker 1: officers to live in the cities and the minority communities
- 37:15Speaker 1: that they police. They are literally going to pay for
- 37:19Speaker 1: housing for the police officers to stay in those neighborhoods,
- 37:24Speaker 1: because we know all those examples of Ferguson where you
- 37:27Speaker 1: have these white police officers living and other communities and
- 37:31Speaker 1: then come to police our people and then go back
- 37:33Speaker 1: home to their neighborhood. And their hope, Steve is that
- 37:39Speaker 1: if you know these people, you know your neighbors, you're
- 37:43Speaker 1: going to be less out to shoot first and ask
- 37:46Speaker 1: questions later, because you're gonna say, oh no, that's Steve
- 37:49Speaker 1: son Man, I know him. We're gonna handle this. You
- 37:53Speaker 1: know that Contigs are a lady. We ain't gonna shoot.
- 37:57Speaker 1: We're gonna work this out because you know the neighbors
- 38:00Speaker 1: and that's the police. And if they say twenty years
- 38:04Speaker 1: in that neighborhood, steed they would get the ownership of
- 38:08Speaker 1: that home. It would be paid for. So they literally said,
- 38:12Speaker 1: if you become a police in state in the neighborhood
- 38:15Speaker 1: that you police, Louisville City is going to pay your mortgage.
- 38:20Speaker 1: That was quite significant. Number Two, they hire twelve social
- 38:24Speaker 1: workers to say that every time a police going to
- 38:27Speaker 1: call for mental health crisis or domestic violence crisis, these
- 38:31Speaker 1: are social workers are going going to call with them
- 38:34Speaker 1: because they are more equipped to deal with an act
- 38:39Speaker 1: for mental health crisis and trying to de estimate the situation.
- 38:43Speaker 1: And the last thing they are going to hire an
- 38:45Speaker 1: expect the general who is independent of the police department.
- 38:50Speaker 1: He doesn't answer to them, he doesn't answer to the
- 38:53Speaker 1: state attorney. He answers to the city Council, the Civilian
- 38:57Speaker 1: Review Board. And every time there's an aleg of excessive
- 39:01Speaker 1: fourth or police shooting, they would issue a public statement
- 39:07Speaker 1: whether they believe it was justified or not. Now this
- 39:10Speaker 1: would not be binding on the state attorney because the
- 39:14Speaker 1: police officer still has due process, whether he goes to
- 39:17Speaker 1: jail or not, it would be a public record. Okay,
- 39:21Speaker 1: Attorney Crump, hang on right there, sir, or we got
- 39:23Speaker 1: more to talk about this situation. We'll be right back
- 39:26Speaker 1: with more with Attorney Benjamin Crump. All right, y'all, we're
- 39:33Speaker 1: back with Benjamin Crump or visiting the show this morning,
- 39:37Speaker 1: we're having an in depth conversation about the outcome so
- 39:41Speaker 1: far with the Brianna Taylor situation. The question I have is,
- 39:47Speaker 1: does does this uh, these things that they've come up
- 39:51Speaker 1: with here in the city of Louisville, does it supersed
- 39:55Speaker 1: the grand jury process or does it only happen after
- 39:59Speaker 1: the and Julie yeah, and front I apologize, I went
- 40:03Speaker 1: a long way because I just wanted to talk about
- 40:06Speaker 1: those reforms. That's your question. One has nothing to do
- 40:10Speaker 1: with the other. And quite frankly, the civil side is
- 40:16Speaker 1: we're controlled by the mayor and the city council whether
- 40:21Speaker 1: somebody's going to be arrested and go to jail. It's
- 40:23Speaker 1: completely controlled by the prosecutor. So we know that this
- 40:28Speaker 1: had nothing to do well, um the settlement at all.
- 40:32Speaker 1: This was just Daniel Cameron not presenting the evidence, you know, Steve,
- 40:36Speaker 1: they had. He kept talking about there was one neighbor
- 40:39Speaker 1: who said that he acknowledged the police knocked them announced,
- 40:46Speaker 1: And there we have twelve other neighbors who live in
- 40:49Speaker 1: close proximity to Brianna's apartment who gave recording statements saying
- 40:55Speaker 1: they did not hear. But that's a complete lie that
- 41:01Speaker 1: negates no knock warrants. That's the reason they have a
- 41:05Speaker 1: no knock warrant so they don't have to announcement. That's
- 41:10Speaker 1: so why all of a sudden would they go down
- 41:11Speaker 1: there with a no knock announcement to make the announcement.
- 41:14Speaker 1: That's why I changed a lot for that changed, so
- 41:19Speaker 1: I got, I got a couple of questions, asked okay
- 41:22Speaker 1: two very quickly, what can we what can we do
- 41:28Speaker 1: about this? Can we turn it around? If everybody and
- 41:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvard Nation can join us and demanding that they
- 41:36Speaker 1: release that transcript of the grand jury proceedings because we
- 41:40Speaker 1: need transparency and that would help the FBI and their investigations,
- 41:44Speaker 1: because we don't believe Daniel Cameron presented to the grand
- 41:49Speaker 1: jury anything about the fact that it was based on
- 41:52Speaker 1: a lie. The whole reason they would at Brianna Taylor's
- 41:56Speaker 1: apartment in the first place. That probably cause after day
- 42:00Speaker 1: to see that the lieutenant of the Louisville Police had
- 42:03Speaker 1: issued out said that the United States Post Inspector said
- 42:08Speaker 1: that she would having packages delivered to her house, where
- 42:11Speaker 1: the United States Post Inspector said they didn't say no
- 42:15Speaker 1: such a thing, and Brianna had no packages being delivered
- 42:18Speaker 1: to her house in twenty twenty, and so that was
- 42:21Speaker 1: the basis why the JUS signed and NONO want to
- 42:26Speaker 1: allow them to bust in Brianna Taylor's house in the
- 42:28Speaker 1: first place. So if Danya Cameron didn't present that evidence,
- 42:32Speaker 1: then what did he present, Steve Harvey, That's what we
- 42:35Speaker 1: keep saying, right, nothing, okay, okay, okay, and turning corrup
- 42:38Speaker 1: So we need transparency. You say, if we can get
- 42:42Speaker 1: these transcrips, that we can then get it to the
- 42:45Speaker 1: federal level. My question is this, if it goes to
- 42:49Speaker 1: the federal level, are we talking the DOJ Department of Justice. Well,
- 42:55Speaker 1: we're talking about because we're talking bar I asked his
- 42:59Speaker 1: cook again. We'll see hopefully. That's why elections matter. I'm
- 43:04Speaker 1: so glad you brought that point up, because if Fighting
- 43:08Speaker 1: and Harris win their election, then when this goes to
- 43:12Speaker 1: the Department of Justice, we will have different our attorney
- 43:16Speaker 1: general and power. And that's another reason for us to
- 43:20Speaker 1: vote on November. All right, now, let's talk about this vote,
- 43:23Speaker 1: and let's do this real quickly. What's your feeling on
- 43:27Speaker 1: the vote climate in our community? You know, I do
- 43:30Speaker 1: Steve because of all of these high profile police shootings,
- 43:34Speaker 1: and so right now, Brianna Taylor got people from America
- 43:38Speaker 1: real emotional, and so we need them to act on
- 43:41Speaker 1: that emotions and go out and vote. As if Brianna
- 43:44Speaker 1: Taylor was your daughter, Attorney Crump, if we all get
- 43:47Speaker 1: out and vote, we could turn this thing around and
- 43:50Speaker 1: we could get justice from Brianna Taylor and a lot
- 43:52Speaker 1: of other people. I thank you so much. And that
- 43:56Speaker 1: is a simple, clear plan that all of us in
- 43:59Speaker 1: Black America can do. Go get a attorney general, so
- 44:03Speaker 1: we can get Jeffice for Brianna Taylor. We can get
- 44:06Speaker 1: Jeffice for George Floyd. We can get Jefice for May
- 44:09Speaker 1: and Aubrey. We can get Jeffice for Jacob Blake. Junior
- 44:12Speaker 1: Connosha with confidence. Thank you all right, everybody, thank you
- 44:16Speaker 1: out so much everything. We're gonna switch gears here and
- 44:20Speaker 1: bring in the nephew for the prank. We'll be back
- 44:23Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 44:28Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:30Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, the
- 44:32Speaker 1: subject if he won't shave, I won't either God. So
- 44:40Speaker 1: there be two harrid people right here. Before we get
- 44:46Speaker 1: into that, though, the nephew is here with today Frank
- 44:49Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for us today? Naw as
- 44:52Speaker 1: you're no last. Yeah, that's wrong. Us brought me my glove,
- 45:00Speaker 1: but they may have healing powers. Today's tidily is me
- 45:06Speaker 1: and my g Let's go call dog if you would Hello,
- 45:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your sister. How you doing. I'm
- 45:17Speaker 1: giving you a call on behalf of Baptist Church. You
- 45:21Speaker 1: are a member there? Am I right? Yes? I am? Okay,
- 45:25Speaker 1: listen um, I'm calling you. They are some of the
- 45:28Speaker 1: members have gotten together and had a meeting and wanted
- 45:31Speaker 1: me to give you a call. It seems that a
- 45:36Speaker 1: lot of them are complaining about Sunday services that go
- 45:40Speaker 1: on and wanted for me to give you a call
- 45:43Speaker 1: on their behalf so that we can see if we
- 45:45Speaker 1: can address the problem and talk to you diligently as
- 45:49Speaker 1: possible and try to get the problem rectified. What's going on, Well,
- 45:54Speaker 1: it seems like that a lot of members are complaining.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I'm sorry, and what is your name again? My name
- 46:02Speaker 1: is Man. I'm not actually a member of the church.
- 46:05Speaker 1: I've just been the one that they've been asked to
- 46:07Speaker 1: give you a call and try to talk on the
- 46:09Speaker 1: members behalf, so maybe we can get this problem rectify
- 46:12Speaker 1: that you that they have as far as you are concerned, now, okay,
- 46:17Speaker 1: go ahead. What I'm just trying to see what this
- 46:18Speaker 1: is in regards to go ahead, Well, it seems like
- 46:21Speaker 1: the members of the church are complaining about that you're
- 46:24Speaker 1: doing too much shouting at church on Sunday, and it
- 46:29Speaker 1: seems to be going on every Sunday. You're running up
- 46:31Speaker 1: and down the aisle and you're shouting all over the
- 46:33Speaker 1: place and me, I've been singled out about my shouting.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying, wellever dinny. It's distracting, man,
- 46:41Speaker 1: You're distracting everyone from me getting the word and listening
- 46:44Speaker 1: to the word and being involved in the service. And
- 46:47Speaker 1: that's the purpose of the call is to see if
- 46:49Speaker 1: we can get you to tone it down some. Okay,
- 46:51Speaker 1: So the whole church is complaining about me shouting the
- 46:54Speaker 1: way people run up and down them out every Sunday
- 46:57Speaker 1: and almost saying cart wheels and flip and they singling
- 47:01Speaker 1: me out complained about me. Well, ma'm I don't know
- 47:04Speaker 1: how it is that you can see everybody else doing
- 47:06Speaker 1: cart wheels when you're the ones that they say is
- 47:08Speaker 1: the one that's doing them. You don't am I being
- 47:11Speaker 1: singled out? Man. All I'm saying is that they're saying
- 47:14Speaker 1: that you're doing too much shouting and too much running
- 47:16Speaker 1: at this church. Now, I'm just the message. Say what.
- 47:20Speaker 1: They can't tell me how to shout? They don't. They
- 47:21Speaker 1: can't tell me what's going on in my life? What's
- 47:23Speaker 1: gonna keep me from praising God? And they I mean,
- 47:26Speaker 1: they could just they could go somewhere else with that,
- 47:29Speaker 1: but they're not gonna tell me that I can't praise
- 47:31Speaker 1: my God. They don't know how good God. It's betting
- 47:33Speaker 1: to me. And you know what, I understand that I
- 47:35Speaker 1: agree with you wholeheartedly, but it's becoming a distraction. I mean,
- 47:40Speaker 1: they was at the point last night talking about should
- 47:42Speaker 1: we put some seatbelts on the pews so so you
- 47:45Speaker 1: can stay down? We stay We'll put some seat But
- 47:47Speaker 1: how they're gonna tell people they can't shout in church
- 47:49Speaker 1: and praise God? What do we call the church for? Well,
- 47:52Speaker 1: you do come to we need to be trying to
- 47:54Speaker 1: prase God and get They an't shout on and stop
- 47:56Speaker 1: looking at me and everybody what I'm doing. Were gonna
- 47:58Speaker 1: need you to quit uning up and down these aisles
- 48:01Speaker 1: and doing what you go. I'm sorry, you know, I'm
- 48:04Speaker 1: trying to stay calm. I'm trying my best. Who Jesus Jesus,
- 48:09Speaker 1: sir that that's not happy? You can't tell me I
- 48:11Speaker 1: gotta stop shouting? Okay, man, but let me ask you.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Are you running now? Aren't you just standing still talking?
- 48:17Speaker 1: Because I don't have to run right now? Okay, what
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you to do, I'm like, I
- 48:21Speaker 1: don't want to run up and down this street right now.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I can run up and down the street and place God,
- 48:25Speaker 1: but they're not gonna tell me to stop shouting at church?
- 48:27Speaker 1: Can we get you to be a little bit more
- 48:29Speaker 1: reserved as what we see? Man? Let me let me
- 48:31Speaker 1: go ahead and go further on what they do, do
- 48:34Speaker 1: how the spirit moves? Okay, well, let me move and
- 48:37Speaker 1: tell you what they've told me. Now. If we can't
- 48:42Speaker 1: get to the point where you can, you know, tone
- 48:44Speaker 1: it down, then we may have to ask you to leave.
- 48:47Speaker 1: I just want to let them ask me, who Jesus Jesus,
- 48:50Speaker 1: who Jesus. You let them ask me, why don't they
- 48:54Speaker 1: want me to leave the church. I've been at that
- 48:57Speaker 1: church for fifteen years. I'm not leaving the church gonna
- 49:00Speaker 1: run up and down. I'm not gonna go on the church.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I ain't even turn me some flips where I feel
- 49:05Speaker 1: like it. Not no, no, listen that that's all. I'm okay,
- 49:09Speaker 1: go ahead, but I'm gonna be there. I'm going to
- 49:12Speaker 1: I am going to be there on Sunday. Man, and
- 49:15Speaker 1: I have been the person that's been appointed to make
- 49:17Speaker 1: sure that you're not running up and down these eyes
- 49:20Speaker 1: and shotting like this. You got to keep yourself reserved
- 49:22Speaker 1: so people can hear the word of God. You are
- 49:25Speaker 1: standing in people's word. That's what you're doing. You're in
- 49:27Speaker 1: the whale. If they come trying to send me down,
- 49:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna get him a word and it ain't gonna
- 49:31Speaker 1: be your God. So let's you put that hands upon
- 49:33Speaker 1: me here now, listen, I'm trying to hear that. Now
- 49:36Speaker 1: you get that I haven't been in that church fifteen years.
- 49:39Speaker 1: If I want to run and dance, shout, jump, quit,
- 49:42Speaker 1: whatever I want to do, I'm gonna do it. Ain't
- 49:44Speaker 1: nobody gonna stop me. You're gonna have to stop this.
- 49:47Speaker 1: This past Sunday was your last Sunday doing it, and
- 49:49Speaker 1: you're not gonna do it this sunday. Like I said,
- 49:52Speaker 1: just why And I'm telling you could tell them I
- 49:54Speaker 1: don't shoot the deacon boid. The deacon asked the minister's
- 49:57Speaker 1: wives or who all they asks? You want to tell?
- 49:59Speaker 1: Let him say, hands on me and see if I
- 50:01Speaker 1: don't sling on them, I'm gonna come run about the
- 50:03Speaker 1: spirit and sling on it. I'm telling you that now
- 50:05Speaker 1: because he said, you don't really push me out and
- 50:07Speaker 1: tried out and try. Let me ask you this here
- 50:10Speaker 1: where you trying to show that I'm saved and never
- 50:13Speaker 1: but you make it you if you're making me revert
- 50:15Speaker 1: back to my own ways and you you really me out,
- 50:18Speaker 1: that's what you're gonna do. Okay, Well, let me ask
- 50:20Speaker 1: you this, what is the god at right now? And
- 50:22Speaker 1: you where's the one that say yeah it is the
- 50:25Speaker 1: God was in me when I was trying to be
- 50:27Speaker 1: calm with you at first to tell you don't be
- 50:28Speaker 1: calling me with this foolishness. But now you to make
- 50:31Speaker 1: the other sign of me roll he's up. Well, you
- 50:33Speaker 1: wouldn't raise it up in there. You wouldn't raise it
- 50:35Speaker 1: up in me too. Guess what come? Signing? You're gonna
- 50:37Speaker 1: sit y'all in that pew and you ain't gonna you
- 50:40Speaker 1: know when you call yourself a man of God, because
- 50:43Speaker 1: we can in the pew. Okay, all right, all right,
- 50:46Speaker 1: were gonna see how well I'm not sitting that people
- 50:48Speaker 1: a man of fact. First thing, sign of the morning,
- 50:50Speaker 1: I'm going in the past. Oh yeah, when deacon you
- 50:53Speaker 1: are whatever your name is, I'm gonna telling about it. God,
- 50:57Speaker 1: how are we get number you need to lose? I
- 50:59Speaker 1: would talking to Pastor myself and letting him know about
- 51:02Speaker 1: this situation. You don't talk, You don't we can pass right,
- 51:07Speaker 1: pass right? You don't talk to Pastor. I talk to
- 51:10Speaker 1: Pastor art tempting. Yes, Like I said, I'm telling you
- 51:15Speaker 1: old Jesus j old you feel old Jesus, not not
- 51:18Speaker 1: not not not. See just like this here you see
- 51:20Speaker 1: how you calling on him and you standing yeah, because
- 51:23Speaker 1: I'm calling on him to Kidney's just really going to
- 51:25Speaker 1: cuss you out right there because you didn't really hit
- 51:28Speaker 1: my nerve. I got one more thing I need to
- 51:30Speaker 1: say to you, ladies. You know, you better fan real
- 51:32Speaker 1: quick because you're gonna talk to this operator. That's his

- 51:46Speaker 1: I'm oh, I'm oh, I'm gonna kill but oh Lord
- 51:53Speaker 1: up here cursing on the part. Okay, Jesus, I got
- 51:56Speaker 1: one more thing, baby. Let me ask you something. What
- 51:58Speaker 1: is the baddest I'm talking about the best add his
- 52:00Speaker 1: radio show in the land. Kurch folks are the best.

- 52:11Speaker 1: You play when you pranked church folk about the Jesus.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Proud of that you when you get church folks cussing
- 52:20Speaker 1: and buy the cuss what you're talking about? Girl? You
- 52:24Speaker 1: know my mom it was Oh, this was just get hurt.
- 52:28Speaker 1: What a tell me mess of the church? The older
- 52:33Speaker 1: you to think the gospel is going too far? This
- 52:35Speaker 1: is it right here? More than a conquerabe. Come on,
- 52:39Speaker 1: come on, I just I prank Kirk Wanto? Did I'll
- 52:47Speaker 1: tell you I prank Kirk? Did you that I pranked Kirk?
- 52:53Speaker 1: I got Kirk? Good? You're proud of yourself. You're pranking
- 52:56Speaker 1: singers folks in the church. Kurt God Isaac Marvin's sap,

- 53:17Speaker 1: thank God, that's over coming. Up next the Strawberry Letters
- 53:21Speaker 1: subject if he won't shave, I won't either. We'll get
- 53:24Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 53:28Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, if you miss Steve's interview earlier in

- 53:51Speaker 1: it is time for the Strawberry Letter. If you need
- 53:54Speaker 1: advice on relationships, dating, work, sex, parenting, and more, please

- 54:05Speaker 1: on the air, just like we're gonna read this one
- 54:08Speaker 1: right here, right now bugle up and hold on tight.
- 54:13Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here. It is all right,
- 54:16Speaker 1: Thank enough you Here we go. If he won't shave,
- 54:20Speaker 1: I won't either, is the subject. Dear Stephen Shirley. That
- 54:24Speaker 1: is crazy, Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a forty one year
- 54:27Speaker 1: old married woman and my husband and I are at
- 54:29Speaker 1: odds since the pandemic began. He has been growing his
- 54:33Speaker 1: hair out and I'm not a fan of it at all.
- 54:35Speaker 1: He hasn't shaved in weeks, and he hasn't had a
- 54:38Speaker 1: haircut in almost six months. He looks like a darn
- 54:42Speaker 1: grizzly bear and it's disgusting. He says he's waiting to
- 54:46Speaker 1: see how big his fro can get because he's never
- 54:49Speaker 1: grown it out before so far. I don't like it,
- 54:52Speaker 1: and it's a big turn off. I've never been a
- 54:54Speaker 1: fan of excessive body here, and he knows this. I
- 54:58Speaker 1: expected him to stay neat, lean and trim since I'm
- 55:02Speaker 1: the one that's sleeping with him. He hasn't trimmed his hair,
- 55:05Speaker 1: he has not shaved his beard, and a few other
- 55:07Speaker 1: places on his body need to be maintained. I've had enough,
- 55:12Speaker 1: so I devised a plan to seek revenge from my
- 55:15Speaker 1: plan to work, I had to withhold sex for him
- 55:17Speaker 1: from him for close to a month. I told him
- 55:20Speaker 1: that I wasn't in the mood every time he tried
- 55:22Speaker 1: to touch me. Three nights ago, it was time to
- 55:26Speaker 1: execute my plan. We were getting ready to be intimate
- 55:30Speaker 1: and he got all excited while he was removing my clothes. Then, surprise,
- 55:36Speaker 1: he suddenly realized that I had not shaved either. He's
- 55:40Speaker 1: not used to seeing me like that. I have always
- 55:44Speaker 1: been neatly groomed everywhere just for him. I smiled at
- 55:48Speaker 1: him and asked him how he feels when the shoe
- 55:50Speaker 1: was on the other foot. He did not think that
- 55:53Speaker 1: was funny at all. Now he's very upset with me
- 55:57Speaker 1: and said that I can't do what he does. I
- 55:59Speaker 1: told him to shave his back, his face in that
- 56:02Speaker 1: other place, or he'll never make love to me again.
- 56:05Speaker 1: He says, I am being selfish for not supporting his
- 56:07Speaker 1: new look. Why do I have to shave if he's
- 56:11Speaker 1: not willing to? Am I wrong for how I feel?
- 56:14Speaker 1: Are you wrong? Are you wrong? Is that the question?
- 56:20Speaker 1: I gotta tell you something right now. You are my shiro.
- 56:23Speaker 1: You're my shiro A whole lot of women are standing
- 56:26Speaker 1: up and cheering for you right now. Trust me on this,
- 56:29Speaker 1: they are standing up and cheering for you. And I
- 56:34Speaker 1: hope you can feel us. I really do. I mean,
- 56:37Speaker 1: come on, it's okay for a while. You know, we've
- 56:40Speaker 1: been in this pandemic. It's okay, the beard's, the unkempt
- 56:43Speaker 1: facial and body hair. But come on now, enough is
- 56:47Speaker 1: enough and we're sick of it. We are tired of
- 56:50Speaker 1: the cave man. Look. Game of Thrones is over at us,
- 56:53Speaker 1: not on TV anymore. And sorry, but you know there's
- 56:57Speaker 1: no double standard here, the nerve of him. How dare
- 57:00Speaker 1: he try to play that card by saying you can't
- 57:03Speaker 1: do what I do? The double standard does not apply here,
- 57:06Speaker 1: because yes we can, and your wife proved that to you.
- 57:09Speaker 1: We can grow our hair all over too, and you
- 57:12Speaker 1: don't like it, right, you showed him that. But women
- 57:15Speaker 1: are expected to say are we really are? We're expected
- 57:18Speaker 1: to shave our legs, shave our under arms, you know,
- 57:21Speaker 1: shave everywhere so we don't look like you know, cave
- 57:25Speaker 1: women and grizzly bears as you call it. So no,
- 57:30Speaker 1: we both need to shave. Okay, So I say, look,
- 57:33Speaker 1: let's get back to shaving and grooming ourselves around here
- 57:36Speaker 1: and stop thinking that we can let ourselves go, because
- 57:39Speaker 1: sadly there is nowhere to go in this pandemic. We're
- 57:42Speaker 1: still at home. We still have you know, our significant others,
- 57:46Speaker 1: our husbands, our wives, boyfriend's girlfriends, whatever, to look nice around.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Don't just let yourself go. He knows how you feel.
- 57:54Speaker 1: You told him it's nothing new, and now it's a
- 57:56Speaker 1: turn off, which is affecting the intimacy in your marriage.
- 57:59Speaker 1: That's very important. And I don't think shaving or not
- 58:02Speaker 1: shaving is worth that. This is an easy fix, easy fix.
- 58:06Speaker 1: So I hope he gets whatever he uses, magic shave, razors, clippers,
- 58:10Speaker 1: whatever it is, and you know, starts to cut that
- 58:14Speaker 1: mess down. It's an easy fix, Steve. I'm going to
- 58:19Speaker 1: need what is the motown music for this revertoire rhetorical response?
- 58:34Speaker 1: I'll be asking my deacon, yes, my beloved death Jamie,
- 58:42Speaker 1: and my older brother Adnoyed to gather yourselves to help
- 58:53Speaker 1: with the situation. All right, all I need from the
- 58:59Speaker 1: Minister of music music is how much time we have one?
- 59:05Speaker 1: I've been told that we're down to under sixty seconds.

- 59:18Speaker 1: That's right, did an applotatious way. So I'm going to
- 59:24Speaker 1: prepare you all to come back after this commassia. That's right,
- 59:32Speaker 1: renderation to hear about how we handle situation that we
- 59:40Speaker 1: will be using songs versus yeah and famous quotes to
- 59:51Speaker 1: get to the ending of a Neil Harry scary situation.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Scared right, Please come back and join us after jack
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: pot joint or drugs church. Amen? Amen? All right, last

- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Reverend Motown, Deacon def Chan, Reverend ad NOI, Deacon, were
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: don't need you system taking up time? Oh you are blocking?
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: That's blocking situated. We do. We're not concerned with being nice. Yo.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Letter wasn't nice after though for him? Ah huh uh.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: First of all, I want to say that I hate
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: the strawy letter makes no damn sense that we have
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: to address the cleanliness of the body. Bible says cleanliness
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: is next to godliness. Yeah, and both these people's is
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: going to hell, going to hell. I want to quote
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: another Reverend Jackson, Jesse to be exact, Jesse Jackson, he
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: once said, stay up the bushes. That's what he's saying.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: That's what he's saying. Now, everybody let her just a
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: big old bush. Yeah. Yeah, we remember a song by
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Brother Womack a Harry Hippie. Yeah yeah, come on. I
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: know I'm preaching, I know paths, I know. I think
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: if if any I read was here, she would say,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I am not my hand. That's exactly come on, or
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: in the words of Minister luth the Vendros, I'm gonna
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: come on, Sinister Lutha Vendros when he said, it's just me, Nah,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: it's just me. Never too much, never too much, never
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: too much. You like what you like, never too much.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Go ahead, Deacon, your junior deacon, Yes, up ahead. It
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: was a brother Teddy Pendergrass. Oh, I think you better
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: let it go. Yeah, everybody didn't let her come in
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: the words oh, sister, sister, sister, sister, Reverend Gladys night
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: h I think she put it in a way if
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I was your woman and you was my man. Come on, now,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: we both laid him here looking the same. I beg
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: you to answer that question. Why I'm preaching now, come on,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you know what the past. I'm just gonna give you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: a phrase when you know when they've both seen each other.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: It's basically they was having a bad half day. That's
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: what that was. No, Yes, I'm gonna go into the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Book of Brown Crown. Yes, well I'm going when he
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: said v Study four, chapter seventeen eighty one, where he said,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: get up on for that thing and dance to you
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: feel better, come on, come on you. I believe there
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: was a choir called the Ohio Player said one time,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: skin tight, we can get it out of here. Are
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: you preaching, youngster to the Book of cool Cool in
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the game to be exactly? Yeah, one of my favorite hits,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Jungle booget I know you pre trying to bear with it.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Uh um um um. Do you need help? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: that's what that's That's what happened when you come on
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to help him. I think I'm gonna go to the
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: average white band. That average come on, the band that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: was averagely white. When they said cut, you can't cut,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: that's what they said. Hate I come on, I'll tell
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: you one of my favorites brothers called Josie. These young
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: brothers are if you look and you see all that
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: down now, they had a song called you You didn't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: get on up? Yeah, get a hold up. Damn say
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: it again, jo get on up. I think I'm gonna
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: have to go with the pimps past the pimp nil.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: One of my favorite lines that if somebody don groom
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: their self in this marriage, I think I'll be leaving
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: on a midnight train to shout yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I'm going to place to finn come on yeah. In closing,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I just want to sing from path to people feel
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: me wol to feel the fire. Thank you, guys. Amen man.

- 1:06:44Speaker 1: iconic interview with Vice President and Democratic candidate Joe Biden
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Steve Harvey did a fantastic interview with presidential candidate Joe Biden.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: If you missed it, we have it for you right now. Hey, folks,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: as promised, we've been telling you all morning that we
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: were going to have a very special guest. Well, he's here.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: He was a forty seventh Vice president of the United States.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: He served with one of our favorite presidents. He is
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: aiming to continue some of the great work that was
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: done before. He is positioning himself to become the future
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: president of the United States, and with our help that
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: reality can become very, very possible for all of us,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. A guy that I've known for quite
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: some time and a friend. Please, welcome to the show,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: mister Vice President Joe Biden. How are you, sir? I'm fine.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I'm a fan, by the way, you know how I
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: watched all the time. Man, I really really appreciate it. Hey, listen,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: let's get into this. What are your thoughts, sir, the
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Tell you know, I had
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: the great honor of prexiety over her. I was a
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: charm of the judicition to me when she was nominated,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: and the thing that made her so incredible. She was.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: She as as one person said, she did as much
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: for women as Justice Marshall did for African American She
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: just changed the whole course of modern history in terms
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: of women's rights and women's opportunities. But the interesting thing
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: about her, as principled and as tough as she was
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: on the issues, she got along with everybody. She even had,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you know, the scalers of the world when he was
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: on the court and the conservatives, they treated her with respect,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: and she was able to bring people together. And that
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: is I think that's the remarkable additional trait that she had.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: And uh and you know, I you know, but I
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: spoke to her. I spoke to her daughter and her
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: granddaughter at length to express my sympathies, and they told
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: me that her and they told others that her dying
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: wish was that that nobody get appointed in her place
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: until the next president is elected. And because you know,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: we're already the middle of the next already middle of elections.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Team you know, by the time Republicans have named somebody
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: and the president named somebody, and bring it up, almost
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: forty percent American public, full of voting the Constitution says
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: that's the one chance the American people have to make
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: an impact on who they want choosing the next nominee.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: You know, the President gets to propose and the Senate disposing.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: And so this is the one chance on the Constitution
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: where the American people have an opportunity to rush. This
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: is just they sat the fundamental violation of the constitutional principles. Yeah,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: can he legally do that? Can President Trump legally appoint
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: somebody before this election? Or he can legally name somebody?
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Right technically, but it's violation or constitutional under under underline rationale.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Mister president, can you hang on one second? One second,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more Vice President Joe Biden
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening. Earlier this week, Steve Harvey
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: did a fantastic interview with presidential candidate Joe Biden. If
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: you missed it, we have it right now. This was
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: really worth hearing. Of course, let's listen. We're back. We're
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: having a discussion here with the Vice President Joe Biden.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Can President Trump legally appoints somebody before this election? He
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: can name somebody he wants to be the nominee, But
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: all those Republicans, including the Majority Leader McConnell, from Kentucky
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: said that you shouldn't appoint you know, you shouldn't appoint
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: anybody in election here. Remember they stopped Mark Garland from
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: being appointed because of the mean confirmed or even having
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: to hear him. Because that's two President Obama picked nine
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to ten months before the election. But he can do that.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: But you know, you have so many Republican senators saying
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: that there should be no appointed election year. Like Lindsey Grahamson,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I'll won't cool through the whole quote bore you, but
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: he said, you know, I'm saying there should be no
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: no treasure. You should nominate some of the election year,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: and you should hold till the election, and you can.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: You have every right to bring this up if I
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: changed my mind to point out to me that I
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: wasn't telling the truth, Well guess what, he ain't telling
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: the truth. He's a pushing for it now. But there's
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: two people have announced and the guts to announce that
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: they will wait till the election is over. They shouldn't
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: vote till then. And that is the Senator from Alaska
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: and the Senator from from Maine, and both women, and
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: there's a couple others. The two other stand up to
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: do the right thing, then it will be put off
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: until the election. And he wins, uh, then he gets
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: to go forward with the nominee that he uh that
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: that he named. He wants the name, and if he loses,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: then I get to make that pick. But I won't
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: be able to make that pick until January twenty first. Yeah, yeah, understood.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: You know, listen, I know you all out there campaign
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: and hard. I thought your selection of your vice presidential
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: or running mate, Senator Kamala hass was such a such
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: an amazing choice that spoke by is so good. Yeah,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: is so good. She's so damn bright and knowledgeable. I mean,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: she's ready to be president on day one. That by
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: somebody pushing up a roof or something. I mean, this
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: is a kid to sign she is. She's totally That's
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: the basis. There are a lot of really fine women
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: that I had to choose from, but I think she's
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: ready on day one. A great choice. You know. Look,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: I know everybody wants answers to so many questions and
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: campaign promises, but the question for so many of my
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: listeners is what's the Biden Harris plan for Black America? Well?
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Number one, you know, my mother used to have an expression,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: you want to know me walk in my shoes a mile.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Although I've been deeply involved in the civil rights with
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: my whole life, I come from the state with the
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: eighth highest Black population of any state in the nation,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I still don't fully appreciate exactly how tough it is.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: And the fact is that one of the most important
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: things to do is put black men and women in
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: the position where they can accumulate wealth, where in a
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: position where they can begin to actually have the place
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: in the community, where as a people across the board
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: they grove the middle class. What's the Biden Harris plan
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: for Black America. There's a number of things I want
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: to do. Number one, for example, there's evidence that black entrepreneurs,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: men and women are successful and as innovative as anybody else.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: The problem is that they have great difficulty getting the capito.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: So what Brock and Eye did was we came up
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: with a plan that was one point five billion dollars.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: We gave to state in the fifty states, gave to
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: state small business associations and four minority businesses. So what
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: happened is once you get that funding, you len and
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you make an application and they say your idea is
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: a good idea. What it did, we predicted it attracted
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: thirty billion dollars off the sideline, meaning that when someone says,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I have this idea for this new technical firm or
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: whatever I want to do. And what happened is if
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: now all of a sudden, the federal government's given you
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: your down payment on that got you going? Mister President,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Can you hang on one second? One second, We'll be
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: right back with more Vice President Joe Biden right after this.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: You're listening to show we're back, and we've been talking
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: all morning with presidential candidate Joe Biden, who is here
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: giving us some insight though a lot of things he's
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: feeling and thinking about this upcoming election. You know, one
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: of the hardest things for a young black man or
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: a woman for that matter, but to get is a
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: down payment for a home. What I'm proposing is that
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: for first term home buyers in the community, brown and black,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: they would be able to get a fifteen thousand dollars
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: down payment, which essentially is a guarantee tax credit, which
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: says that the bank says, Okay, I know they have
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: the money for the down payment, so now you can
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: go out and I'll lend you the money to buy
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: the home. But in addition to that, there are other
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: things we're going to do. For example, there is a
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: lot of money that's available out there. True. The legislation,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: that's all you put together, the calls for making sure
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: that we're able to provide for funding in communities that
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: are primarily monarchy communities. And what we do with that
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: is we make sure that we have a fund that
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: we're going to provide for somewhere in the order of
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: fifty billion dollars of new equity investments. In addition, though
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: they have the availability to being able to get loans launchers,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: loans for communities are going to drastically increase the amount
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: of money available for investments in these communities. For example,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: you have a great idea, you know, there's to call
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: community development financial institutions, meaning the small banks that are
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: in the communities they have to lend into that brown
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: or black community. All right, hang on one second, everybody,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: mister president, hang on, or we'll be right back. We've
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: gotten more with President Joe Biden. Right after this, you're
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: listening to show. Steve Harvey did an interview with presidential
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: candidate Joe Biden is the last part of the interview.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: The debates are coming up Tuesday. We have the interview
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: for you right now. We're back and we've been talking
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: all morning with presidential candidate Joe Biden about this upcoming
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: election in the United States of America. If you and
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I were in the same financial situation of jets getting started,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: and we were able to buy a home, and you
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: bought the exact same home a developer built on one
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: side of a interstate in a black community, and I
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: bought an exact same home in the white community, immediately
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: my home is going to be valued at thirty two
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: percent more than your home is It's wrong. We got
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: to end the red lining, that end all these things
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: that make it difficult for African Americans, particularly hard working
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: African Americans who were just trying to get off the ground,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: to have the opportunity to do what most how did
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: most middle class people humanity the world in their homes
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: and the equity in their homes, and that's they're able
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: to go on and then borrow money to send their
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: kids to school, all those kinds of things. But there's
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a lot we can do. A lot we can include
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: providing free education. College education. I think every single person
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: in America who qualifies you get into a community college
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: to be able to go for free. I think anybody
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: who qualifies to get into a four year university, if
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: they come from a family less in one hundred and
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: twenty five thousand dollars here should have free tuition. But
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: I also think it's really importantly fund HBCUs and minority universities.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Because they don't have significant endowments, they are not able
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: to compete to be able to get these large contracts
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: with government and other entities to provide for the kinds
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: of things like a University of Delaware. University of Delaware,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: they have a system where they have a metallurgy department
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: where they have been able to get the right people
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: invested in this effort. If you are able to get
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: they're funding for these laboratories at an HBCU, then what
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: you do you're able to train those young men and
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: women in the HPCU see these new high tech ventures.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: So there's just a lot we can do, awful lot
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: we could do. Give me the importance of voting for
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: our community and what do we need to safeguard ourselves
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: against in terms of vote of suppression. First of all,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: that you go to i'll vote dot com. You know
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: where to vote and not who to vote for, but
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: how to be able to get where your polling placement
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: arrest is. You know that its administration is going to
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: do everything in their power to try to keep people
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: from voting, but they're not going to be stopped. The
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: top line, the people as country are going to be
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: hurt no matter how much the president tries to stop them.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: They're going to vote. So, as I said, makes you
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the arrival vote dot com and the African American community
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: can determine this election. Thank you sir. All right, I'll
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: see all right, driving a man, you've got to fight
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: for us. Yes, all right, coming up our last break
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: of the day and some closing remarks from the one
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey. Right after this, we'll be back
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: at forty nine after you're listening to show here we are.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Last break of the day on this Friday, last break
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: of the week. What a week? What a week? A week? Yeah? Yeah.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: All we can do though, is tell you that there
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: are thirty nine more days left until the November third election.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: By November third, we want you to already have voted. Okay,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: have your votes in. Yes, that's that's what we're pushing.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Early voting. Plan prepare, early vote. Early voting is the key.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: We've been telling you all along. To go to vote
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: dot org, vote dot org, vote dot org, and get registered. Okay,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: so you can be ready, Steve, you want to take
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: us home. You know, folks, I don't know how much
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: planner we can make it, but I will continue to try.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: We have heard on this show today. We have heard
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: from Vice President Joe Biden his plans for Black America.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: We have heard about the ways that they are trying
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: to suppress the vote. We have heard this week Trump
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: is already planning to challenge the vote in court. He's
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: going to run the Supreme Court nominee through so that
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: it would be a five to four in favor of
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: the Republicans. We have not heard any other Republican senators
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: or congressmen say this is not the way the system
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: is set up. Even they know this is how the
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: system has been set up that their forefathers put in
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: place with the Constitution. This man and his evilness is
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: trying to change the way the voting system works. Here
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: is a man who is not content with being president
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: but clearly wants to be king. We have heard from
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Attorney Benjamin Crump the atrocity that has occurred in Louisville, Kentucky.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: We have watched this, I mean, just today. Let's just
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: go over today now. The only way that this president
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: can challenge this election in the courts if it's close.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: I can't really see how this is going to be close,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: but he can see how he can lose, and he's
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: preparing to challenge his loss. I've never heard this before
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: in my entire life, and neither have you in any
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: election before. So now I'm asking you all that are
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: sitting here listening, that have every right to decide how
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: this country is run. Because we built this country. We
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: are as a part of this American fiber fiber as anybody.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: We built the United States of America. United States is
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: the richest country in the world because of four hundred
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: years of free labor from slaves. Our ancestors built this country,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: not theirs ours. There are fortune five hundred companies today
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: who are alive and well. There is generational wealth in
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: this country, alive and well. There is systematic racism in
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: this country, alive and well, because of the institution of slavery,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: We on the Steve Harvey Morning Show are trying to
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: put it to you as plainly as possible. And now
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: with the Black Lives Matter movement, there is no other
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: way to prove that your black live matter than to
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: make your vote matter. And once you make your vote matter,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: everybody has to come to terms with black lives matter.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Kevin Hart released a video on his Instagram that I
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: saw today of a man explaining that since Trump has
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: been in office, he has appointed more judges than anybody
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: since Jimmy Carter. And of the one hundred and ninety eight,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: some say two hundred judges that this man has nominated,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: not a single one of them have been black, not one.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: Make America great again, or you're going back to with this,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: You're going back to the days when white supremacy just
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: ruled unchecked, because that's what it looks like to me.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: But the incredible thing about this is people, there are
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: enough of us with the voting privilege at our fingertips
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: to go in there and say, no, man, you're wrong
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: about that. You might not appoint us, you might not
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: count us, you might not care about out of us
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: but our lives do matter, and they're going to matter
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: at the polls in November. They're going to matter by
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: early voting, they're going to matter by absentee VAP ballots.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: And no matter what you do, we are not going
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: to allow you to have four more years of this.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: We have that power. Don't you dare sit here and
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: say our vote don't count, Because when you don't vote,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: you're absolutely right, it don't count. You can't count what
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: ain't been cast. Now it's begging you to vote. Were
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: sick of it. We're sick that we got to ask
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: you to do something for your salves. Get out and vote.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: That's all you have to do, because if you don't,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: you are going to live to regret this for the
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: next four years in a way that is unimaginable. Voting
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: is the only way to stop this. Don't you dare
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: sit this out? Vote like your life depends on it. Steve, Yeah, yes, sir,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: and it does. Hold your vote. You might not get
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: to vote again for all. Steve Harvey contests no purchase
