- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them just like the million bucks things. And it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: not through good Steve Hartley, I don't join Jo. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn ar. You gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Got to turn out the turnout, turn the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water the water. Y'all come, come on your thing. Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show we off. Hey, good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now, one and
- 2:08Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey got a radio show. I've been saying
- 2:12Speaker 1: it like that since I got it too. All right,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I gotta go one for you today. Yesterday the other day,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I was talking to you about the most effective weapon
- 2:22Speaker 1: available to us as human beings, I think is prayer.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I think prayer helps us in so many ways. But
- 2:29Speaker 1: right now, what I want to do is I want
- 2:32Speaker 1: to show you how prayer pays off. I want I
- 2:36Speaker 1: want to show you what good it can do for you,
- 2:38Speaker 1: even me. I use it every day, and and the
- 2:41Speaker 1: days I don't use it, I feel it that that
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, the days that I go, you know, without
- 2:48Speaker 1: talking to him as much, I notice it. I feel it.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I feel a certain kind of way. You know, those
- 2:54Speaker 1: are those that doubt starts slipping in again, that uneasy
- 2:57Speaker 1: feeling of uncertainty slips in again, and that that wondering
- 3:01Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do start slipping in again happens to me,
- 3:04Speaker 1: happens everybody, man, I think, I really really do you know,
- 3:07Speaker 1: if people would just keep it real with each other,
- 3:09Speaker 1: stop being this Christian, this superman, because you ain't you ain't.
- 3:16Speaker 1: There's a scripture that says that's none perfect, no, not one.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's everybody that covered all of us thought. So sometimes
- 3:27Speaker 1: I think we're a little too hard on each other
- 3:29Speaker 1: with that too, seeing us how we're not perfect, we
- 3:32Speaker 1: immediately want to just just oh man, you just want
- 3:36Speaker 1: to kill when we find somebody do something wrong. But
- 3:39Speaker 1: if we go public, everything go public now called social media.
- 3:42Speaker 1: But anyway, I just want to talk to you about
- 3:45Speaker 1: how prayer pays off. It's called all eye and money.
- 3:50Speaker 1: People got money, call it all eyes a return on investment.
- 3:54Speaker 1: People are always looking for a return on investment. You know, nobody,
- 3:58Speaker 1: nobody in business really gives you money without understanding the
- 4:01Speaker 1: return on investment. They don't even give money to charities
- 4:06Speaker 1: unless they think it can do something with the bottom line.
- 4:09Speaker 1: A lot of companies work like that, I found out
- 4:11Speaker 1: out myself. Sad, but it is true. So since everything
- 4:16Speaker 1: is expected to work on a return on investment as
- 4:19Speaker 1: soon because we're human beings. So since we're all human beings,
- 4:22Speaker 1: whether you're in business or not, you're still in the
- 4:26Speaker 1: business of living. I think when you pray, you should
- 4:31Speaker 1: expect a return on your investment. You talk to him,
- 4:36Speaker 1: you spend time opening it up to him, you bowed
- 4:39Speaker 1: your head to him, you humbled yourself, you got on
- 4:43Speaker 1: your knees. I mean, but really we're talking God here,
- 4:47Speaker 1: So really, what you're doing ain't really about nothing. Be
- 4:49Speaker 1: honest with You're a little bit that you do do
- 4:52Speaker 1: on his behalf. It just pales in comparison with what
- 4:55Speaker 1: he does. But let's just say you want to call
- 4:58Speaker 1: yourself invested, well, let me show you how it pays
- 5:02Speaker 1: off this because for me, this is for me. Now,
- 5:05Speaker 1: pray pays off in different ways. That's what I had
- 5:08Speaker 1: to learn. See, I was praying, but I was asking
- 5:11Speaker 1: him specifically for what I wanted. I had the audacity, though,
- 5:16Speaker 1: to turn around and tell him how to do what
- 5:18Speaker 1: I wanted. That's amazing, man. I can't tell you how
- 5:21Speaker 1: many blessings I blocked coming my way by putting my
- 5:25Speaker 1: faith in what I said I wanted and how I
- 5:28Speaker 1: wanted him to do it. I want you to give
- 5:30Speaker 1: me this. I want that person to go away. I
- 5:34Speaker 1: want this person to accept everything you say. Then I
- 5:38Speaker 1: want to go over here, and I want this deal
- 5:40Speaker 1: to happen like this, and I want that person to
- 5:43Speaker 1: just step aside and let let me through. And then
- 5:46Speaker 1: I wanted I was. I hadn't mapped out. God must
- 5:50Speaker 1: have been chuckling really hard. He hadn't been gonna. Boy,
- 5:53Speaker 1: I made you to be funny. But boy, you're funny now.
- 5:55Speaker 1: So you're gonna tell me how to do it. And
- 5:57Speaker 1: you've all heard this right here. If you want to
- 5:59Speaker 1: make laugh telling me your plan, well, that's what I did.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And that's how we pray. A lot of times we pray,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and we pray in the prayer with telling him how
- 6:09Speaker 1: to work it out. Well, here's the deal. This is
- 6:13Speaker 1: what I've learned. Prayer pays off in different ways. There's
- 6:16Speaker 1: a different return of my investment when I pray. See,
- 6:20Speaker 1: sometimes when I'm praying for something a situation to dissolve
- 6:25Speaker 1: itself or go away. Sometimes I get courage out of
- 6:30Speaker 1: the prayer. Prayer provides me courage that's just to go
- 6:36Speaker 1: on and look at it. I guess face it then.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer gives
- 6:46Speaker 1: me hanging power. Sometimes, man, it just I look up
- 6:50Speaker 1: and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives you
- 6:54Speaker 1: laugh at off power. Sometimes, man, you just got to
- 6:58Speaker 1: laugh at off whatever. Man you trip it? Do you
- 7:05Speaker 1: know what that is? If you could do that? You know?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Sometimes it it gives you a show of strength power.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Sometimes prayer allows you to have the appearance that you
- 7:18Speaker 1: got it all together. Nobody got to know the world.
- 7:22Speaker 1: When the tornado, the hurricane that's swirling in your life,
- 7:26Speaker 1: you're standing over that like the eye the hurricane you
- 7:29Speaker 1: and it's all swirling around you. But you're standing that
- 7:31Speaker 1: like the eye, you just as calm. That's what prayer does.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So when you pray, man, it builds up a lot
- 7:38Speaker 1: of things in you. You know what it's done for me.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Prayer has built up character in me. It's made me
- 7:44Speaker 1: have more character because I'm able to stand stronger on
- 7:48Speaker 1: the things I say, because I've been praying. Because I've
- 7:52Speaker 1: been asking God for all of those return of investments.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I've been asking God for courage. I've been asking God
- 7:59Speaker 1: for hanging that power. I've been asking him to give
- 8:01Speaker 1: me the power to walk away. I've asked him to
- 8:04Speaker 1: give me ignored power. I've asked to help me laugh
- 8:07Speaker 1: at off. I've asked him to show me strength. But
- 8:09Speaker 1: you know what I was doing, I was really praying,
- 8:11Speaker 1: not really for them things be real with you, I
- 8:14Speaker 1: was asking them to help me, Lord help me. You
- 8:17Speaker 1: ever done that? You've asked God for help and then
- 8:19Speaker 1: all of a sudden, the list of these things show up. See,
- 8:23Speaker 1: sometimes how you want the problem to be solved ain't
- 8:25Speaker 1: the best way. There's a lesson to be learned when
- 8:28Speaker 1: we make mistakes. And sometimes you got to stay in
- 8:30Speaker 1: that fire and you got to learn that lesson. But
- 8:33Speaker 1: guess what, though, when you come out of it, you're
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna be better for it. You're gonna know more about it.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, pray. He's solid, His word is true,
- 8:43Speaker 1: it lasts forever. He do what he's say gonna do now,
- 8:46Speaker 1: all day, all night, twenty four seven, he do it
- 8:51Speaker 1: all day all night and then some more. His word
- 8:53Speaker 1: don't ever change. It's true. It works for me. It
- 8:57Speaker 1: worked for you. It worked for Jake's worked for Old Steam.
- 9:01Speaker 1: It worked for Kirk Franklin. It worked for Paula White,
- 9:05Speaker 1: It worked for Billy Graham. It worked for Mother Teresa.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It worked for Gandhi, It worked for the Princess Arabs.
- 9:14Speaker 1: It worked, man, it worked for you. What you're waiting for?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Why don't you put praying your game? Watch what happened
- 9:22Speaker 1: to you? You're sitting in that jail sale and you're
- 9:24Speaker 1: struggling with it, and they're telling you bloody and blood out,
- 9:27Speaker 1: you can't get in you. That's foolishness, man, What you
- 9:31Speaker 1: mean God can get you out of anything. Look, man,
- 9:34Speaker 1: if you didn't read your Bible, he didn't got some
- 9:35Speaker 1: people out of some sticky situations. I don't know what
- 9:37Speaker 1: you're talking about. If Daniel was in the lions den
- 9:40Speaker 1: and Jonah was in the belly of the whale, what
- 9:42Speaker 1: you're talking about? Where you are? You just sitting in
- 9:44Speaker 1: the sale with some dudes round and you're talking about
- 9:45Speaker 1: what they gonna do. Man, you gotta be real. God
- 9:48Speaker 1: can't nothing to do nothing. Nobody can't nobody do nothing
- 9:52Speaker 1: to you. God won't give you to strift to handle.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Prayer changes things. Man, you're listening to show, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: let me have your undivided attention, please, all right now,
- 10:07Speaker 1: what's about to happen, what's about to pop off? What's
- 10:11Speaker 1: about to go down? What is about to present himself?
- 10:16Speaker 1: Is the focused most live is? Yeah? Ignanti said morning
- 10:26Speaker 1: show on Earth. God like there are some who has
- 10:32Speaker 1: ignorant moments. But to hold this igness for four hours
- 10:37Speaker 1: truly is a guilt. That's my alarm that lets me
- 10:40Speaker 1: know it's time to start this igness right here. So
- 10:43Speaker 1: let it begin without further ado. Let's get it started.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Good morning, Colin Farrell, Morning morning, Sunshine. What's
- 10:53Speaker 1: happening to crew? What up? Junior? Man? Uncle? Ain't nothing
- 10:56Speaker 1: but you and us and everybody else? Who's up? Family, Nephew, Tim,
- 11:00Speaker 1: big dog and dog were in the building. Baby doesn't
- 11:03Speaker 1: make it do what it does? Shot it plenty o
- 11:12Speaker 1: you day is done and suny and b but not
- 11:19Speaker 1: a sad shoot at you? Did he say the old day?
- 11:26Speaker 1: He did? Yeah? Yeah, he turned in the channel. So
- 11:28Speaker 1: just when he hit it, you you hit it go.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I thought you was doing it. I got one for
- 11:33Speaker 1: you too, just and Luther, Yeah, Oh, I thought he
- 11:41Speaker 1: was asking you to turn to the OJ he was. Yes,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I'm thinking he's trying to do a little DJ. He
- 11:49Speaker 1: don't know what the hell he talking, right, you, what's wrong?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Take my money, Joseph, Oh, you know you were never
- 12:01Speaker 1: making a name that tune? Man, and it's back, son
- 12:06Speaker 1: of shit, said oh, j I always want to be
- 12:11Speaker 1: on this show. It's back. I bet you could do
- 12:15Speaker 1: that call. I bet you could win. But they can
- 12:19Speaker 1: only do a certain They do R and B seventies, eighties,
- 12:27Speaker 1: who were champs, right, can't you can't win in the nineties.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I ain't gonna win in the nineties. Name that tune
- 12:34Speaker 1: in one note. I can't believe I was wrong. Hey,
- 12:38Speaker 1: you know what, we are to do a version of
- 12:39Speaker 1: it one day? Just have Dave just play just a
- 12:43Speaker 1: little step and out. Okay, that'd be fun, that'd be great.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And then you comment, no, you couldn't even get the rics.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I didn't even know. I play against Julie Steve, against
- 12:55Speaker 1: Julian Steve, against Junior. I swear to god, I thought
- 12:58Speaker 1: I was right everything I didn't even group. Great group.
- 13:06Speaker 1: They was good Julia. Uh huh. They were always believe
- 13:13Speaker 1: who is that? Who is that? The son? Come on? Nah?
- 13:19Speaker 1: You know lu Lutha was the eighties Lutha. He stay
- 13:22Speaker 1: Lutha here, Yeah, the Temptations originally, then he say Lutha
- 13:26Speaker 1: up on? What the Lutha is it? Luther al right? Uh,
- 13:33Speaker 1: we're moving on because we're getting ready to fight up
- 13:35Speaker 1: in here, coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:39Speaker 1: asked the CLO in the building, Chief Love Officer. Right
- 13:43Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steven Show. All right, guys,
- 13:48Speaker 1: time now for ask the clo. The Chief Love Officer,
- 13:51Speaker 1: Steve Harvey is in the building. Are you ready, sir?
- 13:54Speaker 1: I know you are all right. This one's from Loadonna
- 13:58Speaker 1: in Southwest DC. Lodonna says, I've been divorced for three
- 14:02Speaker 1: years and I don't think dating is for me. Why
- 14:05Speaker 1: is it that professional black men don't choose professional women,
- 14:09Speaker 1: whether they're black, white, or another race. I'm a professor
- 14:13Speaker 1: and my colleague is engaged to a woman that's a secretary.
- 14:17Speaker 1: My brother is married to a woman that's a waitress
- 14:20Speaker 1: that was a waitress when he met herb. I can't
- 14:23Speaker 1: get a professional man to look my way, and I'm
- 14:25Speaker 1: curvy and fine. What criteria are men looking for nowadays? Well?
- 14:30Speaker 1: What should I be doing differently? First of all, they're
- 14:34Speaker 1: looking for love. Please don't feel bad because a man
- 14:38Speaker 1: is in corporate American and he's dating a secretary or waitress.
- 14:41Speaker 1: He found what he liked. Now see if they were
- 14:44Speaker 1: skipping over waitresses and the secretaries, See, didn't everybody have
- 14:49Speaker 1: a problem with that? So it's not that stop looking
- 14:52Speaker 1: at them. Your focus is you. That's all you got
- 14:57Speaker 1: to worry about is you. And part of the problem
- 14:59Speaker 1: you have a right now is you. Your focus is
- 15:02Speaker 1: in too many places other than you. Just do you
- 15:06Speaker 1: get yourself together. You've only been divorced three years. You
- 15:09Speaker 1: know now you've narrowed your search down to only professional men.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So let me ask you something, miss professional woman. If
- 15:16Speaker 1: a man was a manager at home depot, he can't
- 15:19Speaker 1: say nothing to you. If a man UH worked at
- 15:24Speaker 1: the post office, he can't say nothing to you. See
- 15:28Speaker 1: So if you want to have this, if you want
- 15:30Speaker 1: to date by class, it's gonna be a little challenging
- 15:34Speaker 1: for you because your night in shine and armor could
- 15:37Speaker 1: be in the in the in the making. How did
- 15:39Speaker 1: she say she was? She didn't say still, he didn't
- 15:42Speaker 1: say Donna from self? Ohay, what's her name? Donna from
- 15:48Speaker 1: She was born in Haylo. Donna? How you doing all right?
- 15:56Speaker 1: Here we go? Okay. Patricia west Palm says, my parents
- 16:02Speaker 1: will be celebrating thirty seven years of marriage in March.
- 16:06Speaker 1: But I recently met a man that says he's my
- 16:09Speaker 1: little brother. He's eleven years younger than me, and he's
- 16:12Speaker 1: my father's twin. He told me his mom's name, and
- 16:15Speaker 1: I remember the lady because she worked with my dad.
- 16:18Speaker 1: He said his mom moved away before he was born,
- 16:20Speaker 1: and now he wants nothing more than to meet his father.
- 16:23Speaker 1: He wants my help with the introduction. Should I help
- 16:26Speaker 1: him or not? See l O, Well, I mean you
- 16:29Speaker 1: might as well, you know, I mean he came to you.
- 16:32Speaker 1: You say he'd just split an image of your father.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Might as well help him out, you know, I mean
- 16:37Speaker 1: it is now. Let me ask you a question, though,
- 16:41Speaker 1: Does your mother know about him? Doesn't sound because you
- 16:45Speaker 1: say your mother y'all celebrating thirty seven years? Does your
- 16:48Speaker 1: mother know about him? See? That's the problem. Yeah, that
- 16:53Speaker 1: happened to me. You know what happened to us that happened.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I found out later in life that I had a brother.
- 17:00Speaker 1: My father had an outside child. My mother did not know,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and she was not happy at all. My parents and
- 17:10Speaker 1: marriage ended on that same principle. But my father was dead,
- 17:14Speaker 1: so I can be mad at him. Yeah, I'd probably
- 17:17Speaker 1: get over a little bit quickly. She did, because if
- 17:20Speaker 1: he was alive, Lord, ain't nobody to cuss out at
- 17:23Speaker 1: one point, she just got to go ahead and move on. Yeah. Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 1: but um, but I would I don't know. I mean,
- 17:30Speaker 1: you know, I would. First of all, I would do
- 17:32Speaker 1: I would take it to your father and let your
- 17:35Speaker 1: father manage that situation. It's not a situation for you
- 17:38Speaker 1: to manage. Yeah, I think you take it to your
- 17:41Speaker 1: father and just let your father know that you're gonna
- 17:44Speaker 1: love him no matter what you know, and just be
- 17:48Speaker 1: that because it changes nothing about your father's relationship. Which
- 17:52Speaker 1: you would change is nothing. A lot of people have
- 17:54Speaker 1: made all kinds of mistakes in their lifetime. You know,
- 17:58Speaker 1: you can't be held or you can't hold a mistake
- 18:00Speaker 1: over your head for the rest of your life. Everybody
- 18:02Speaker 1: want to make everybody pay when they discover they had
- 18:04Speaker 1: a mistake. The lord's press says, forgive us our debt says,
- 18:08Speaker 1: we forgive our debtors. The other line is forgive us
- 18:10Speaker 1: our trustpasses we give those who trustpass against us. So
- 18:14Speaker 1: you gotta start living like that if you don't, and
- 18:16Speaker 1: you're gonna need forgiveness in a minute. So his mom
- 18:19Speaker 1: is gonna be upset. Oh, she's gonna be. She's gonna
- 18:22Speaker 1: be man, she's gonna be. No, I'm just saying my
- 18:25Speaker 1: mom was upset too. Yeah, that that stuff happens. I
- 18:29Speaker 1: can believe it all right, Um, Shady and Indiana. I
- 18:34Speaker 1: just know I know her mom's gonna be mad. Shady
- 18:36Speaker 1: and Indiana. I'm a twenty five year old married woman
- 18:41Speaker 1: and I have a female friend that my husband used
- 18:43Speaker 1: to date. We've been friends for years, and she gave
- 18:46Speaker 1: me her blessing to date and marry her ex. My
- 18:50Speaker 1: husband has a problem with us still being friends, but
- 18:53Speaker 1: he's still friendly to her in person and on social media.
- 18:57Speaker 1: My best friend said, there's something shady about that, and
- 19:00Speaker 1: I need to watch them. Do you think that's okay
- 19:03Speaker 1: for my husband to be friendly with her? Well, wait
- 19:08Speaker 1: a minute, now, lady, you went to her and she
- 19:12Speaker 1: gave her blessing to you. It's your friend, this, your
- 19:16Speaker 1: friend shady that gave you her blessing because she used
- 19:20Speaker 1: to date your husband and told you to go on
- 19:22Speaker 1: and marry me and be happy. Now you all won't
- 19:27Speaker 1: your husband. Your husband got a problem with y'all still
- 19:31Speaker 1: being friends, but he friendly too in person and on
- 19:33Speaker 1: social media. You do the man. I ain't gotta tell
- 19:36Speaker 1: you nothing. Yeah, her best friend told you know, and
- 19:40Speaker 1: how and how y'all still all that cool? Any damn way?
- 19:43Speaker 1: Everybody cool? Everybody cool? You cool with her, hel she
- 19:48Speaker 1: cool with you, He cooled with her, she cooled with him.
- 19:51Speaker 1: It too many damn cool ass people in this story,
- 19:55Speaker 1: the situation before you just said forgive. Maybe they all forget,
- 19:59Speaker 1: forgave you each other. You don't sound like it in
- 20:02Speaker 1: this letter. That forgiveness was in the other letter. No,
- 20:08Speaker 1: these questions are separate, Shirley. I'm just saying, I'm just
- 20:13Speaker 1: saying trespassing in this one, okay, right right, it's too
- 20:17Speaker 1: much going on, this, all this consenting adults right here,
- 20:24Speaker 1: all right? So what do you think she should do?
- 20:28Speaker 1: She wants to know? Do you think it's okay for
- 20:30Speaker 1: my husband to be friendly with her. I don't think
- 20:33Speaker 1: it's cool for you to be friendly with So you
- 20:36Speaker 1: got too many damn friendly people. But you can be
- 20:38Speaker 1: friendly with it, but you don't want him to be
- 20:39Speaker 1: friendly with it. Y'all need to make up your mind.

- 26:43Speaker 1: you on the phone. Yea, all right, yeah you got
- 26:46Speaker 1: met Hey Berning. I gotta ask you, what is the
- 26:50Speaker 1: baddest and I'm talking about the baddest man radio show
- 26:53Speaker 1: in the land, Steve Harvey Mourning showing you're having ladies
- 26:59Speaker 1: and gentlemen and an extraordinary bank phone call I'm having
- 27:02Speaker 1: after you himself. Thank you, thank you, thank you, oh dear,
- 27:05Speaker 1: thank you. Hey you're talking about the honeymoon. Sweet yeah,
- 27:10Speaker 1: put it all. I liked him. I like ready set
- 27:16Speaker 1: go people. I like people that in five seconds, Vernon
- 27:20Speaker 1: was having it that you we know it's you know
- 27:25Speaker 1: that you tire life already set. You don't even life, Steve,
- 27:31Speaker 1: you have always been like that. You're always been like that.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I've always done that way, always, even when you were
- 27:38Speaker 1: a kid. Yeah, I mean where I stayed, you had
- 27:41Speaker 1: to be already set because goal go down the street.
- 27:45Speaker 1: You're being ready set go for it as a kid, though,
- 27:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, do you know how many well
- 27:52Speaker 1: I grew up in the neighborhood where you had to
- 27:53Speaker 1: fight dog fight, fly fight or fly dog. You had
- 27:59Speaker 1: to be able to fight, I mean, and we fought
- 28:03Speaker 1: about everything because you know, back then, you know, we
- 28:05Speaker 1: wasn't shooting each other, nothing like this. But we're gonna
- 28:07Speaker 1: put these hands up. And everybody on my block, everybody
- 28:10Speaker 1: around the corner on prim Rolls down lake View, everybody
- 28:13Speaker 1: had hand m But what's the best thing about it?
- 28:17Speaker 1: If you lose, you go home. If you win, you
- 28:20Speaker 1: go home. Man, And you're playing two days after that,
- 28:23Speaker 1: still be flush, man, It's gone right. One hundred and
- 28:30Speaker 1: twelve hund twelve the day was it a rule? Everybody saying, hey,
- 28:34Speaker 1: don't go out hunt twelve? That had to be a statement.
- 28:36Speaker 1: But you couldn't go down one hundred, twelve hundred, eleven hundred,
- 28:38Speaker 1: ten hundred and fifth if you're as could all right.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 28:45Speaker 1: some entertainment and national news for you. Right after this.
- 28:48Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. In today's entertainment news,
- 28:55Speaker 1: Kanye West is reportedly being sued by members of the
- 28:58Speaker 1: Sunday Service cast and crew. The class action lawsuits Yeah Junior,
- 29:04Speaker 1: which are which were filed last summer in Los Angeles
- 29:07Speaker 1: are divided between the performers and the crew. It's about
- 29:10Speaker 1: eight hundred people. Eight hundred people suing Kanye West. Performer
- 29:15Speaker 1: Michael Pearson says he was paid a flat day rate
- 29:18Speaker 1: of two hundred and fifty dollars. He wasn't allowed meal
- 29:21Speaker 1: or restroom breaks, and many performers had to stand all
- 29:24Speaker 1: day or sit on the floor because there wasn't enough chairs.
- 29:27Speaker 1: As if that wasn't bad enough, some of the performers
- 29:30Speaker 1: had to walk home because the shuttle wasn't provided for them.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Kanye's opera allegedly violated California labor laws by not paying
- 29:39Speaker 1: employees on time or in some cases ever, and denying
- 29:43Speaker 1: them overtime, meal and bathroom breaks. What according to yes
- 29:49Speaker 1: right Hill? What okay, okay? I can't go pay all
- 29:54Speaker 1: right here? Yea already on the second verse? Watch this
- 30:01Speaker 1: right right, I'm straight through these slavery clothes you got
- 30:07Speaker 1: us win right doesn't designer originals. I'll have you, no, sir,
- 30:12Speaker 1: I don't care. Any nobody gonna do that to me.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I don't so how much money, No, it doesn't say
- 30:22Speaker 1: how much, but it's a lot. As a class action, lawsuit.
- 30:25Speaker 1: According to a source, no one knows how involved Kanye
- 30:28Speaker 1: is or if he even knew what was going on,
- 30:31Speaker 1: as it was also last minute. It was terribly run.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Whether it was mismanagement, accidental, or on purpose. This is
- 30:39Speaker 1: a very very strong case. But well, you know, I
- 30:42Speaker 1: don't think it was Kanye per se. I've been and
- 30:47Speaker 1: you know he's got people who run that stuff for him,
- 30:51Speaker 1: and I just think of something incompetency on their part.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I've never seen him do anything cruel to a person,
- 30:57Speaker 1: you know, especially in that creative space, you know. But
- 31:01Speaker 1: so I don't know that he's aware that the Minister
- 31:05Speaker 1: of Music knows everything. Let's find out who that is. Now.
- 31:07Speaker 1: The Minister of Music can tell you exactly what's happened.
- 31:10Speaker 1: I bet you the Minister Music and somebody who should
- 31:14Speaker 1: went to the past of the Minister of Music and
- 31:16Speaker 1: say these people ain't been paid. No exactly, That's what
- 31:23Speaker 1: I'm saying. I'm surprised he didn't know. Yeah, uh, getting
- 31:28Speaker 1: to him, it is not. He's not easy that guy. Yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 1: you know, you don't just walk over and strike up
- 31:34Speaker 1: a conversation. Oh you can't approach the choir. I mean no,
- 31:40Speaker 1: I'm not saying he's unapproachable, but it's lawyers to get
- 31:43Speaker 1: to him. So if I'm in his choir, I can't go.
- 31:47Speaker 1: You're not gonna be able to say a damn thing
- 31:50Speaker 1: to him. That's what you want to hear. So I
- 31:54Speaker 1: can sing for him, and we can sing for the Lord,
- 31:56Speaker 1: but me and him can't talk. Well, you don't sing
- 31:58Speaker 1: that good tim so well don't matter. But hey, let's
- 32:12Speaker 1: get to this story. It's a sad one and entertainment news.
- 32:15Speaker 1: This is out of Hollywood. Former Saved by the Bell
- 32:18Speaker 1: star Dustin Diamond has passed away. We all knew him
- 32:21Speaker 1: a screech on the show Saved by the Bell. Yeah,
- 32:24Speaker 1: Diamond had stage four lung cancer and after the news
- 32:27Speaker 1: broke just last month, his condition had rapidly, rapidly worsened
- 32:32Speaker 1: in the past week. Be Saved by the Bell co
- 32:34Speaker 1: star Mario Lopez tweeted, Dustin, you will be missed, my man.
- 32:38Speaker 1: The fragility of this life is something never to be
- 32:41Speaker 1: taken for granted. Dustin Diamond was only forty four years old.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Wow wow wow Yeah all right, Steve Yeah, time for
- 32:51Speaker 1: today's headline, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne True. Okay, here
- 32:55Speaker 1: we go, thank you very much. Tens of millions of
- 32:58Speaker 1: people from Pennsylvania to New Jersey to New York and
- 33:00Speaker 1: New England now dealing with the back half of a
- 33:03Speaker 1: two day snowstorm. Slippery white stuff and icy conditions all
- 33:06Speaker 1: over the place. If you're by the shore, there's actually
- 33:09Speaker 1: melted ice and water and flooding. They'll have all prompted
- 33:13Speaker 1: strict travel advisories and restriction, states of emergency, scattered power outages,
- 33:18Speaker 1: but not as many, they say, as they expected. Coronavirus
- 33:21Speaker 1: testing is about to become a whole a lot faster
- 33:23Speaker 1: and easier. That's because President Biden's developed a deal with
- 33:27Speaker 1: the an Australian pharmaceutical outfit for an in home COVID test.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Kid Now's without a prescription, and it delivers results within
- 33:34Speaker 1: fifteen minutes on the user's smartphone. You could just do
- 33:36Speaker 1: it at home. Meanwhile, the Associated Press report said an
- 33:39Speaker 1: international investigation into the origins of the coronavirus is underway
- 33:42Speaker 1: in China. A World Health Organization team has been sent
- 33:46Speaker 1: over there to the two disease control centers that responded
- 33:49Speaker 1: to the virus when it was first reported in Uhan.
- 33:52Speaker 1: By the way, China has reported more than two thousand
- 33:54Speaker 1: new domestic cases of COVID just the last month. President
- 33:58Speaker 1: Biden hosted a group of Republican senators at the White
- 34:00Speaker 1: House yesterday afternoon, and as main Republicans Susan Collins says,
- 34:03Speaker 1: they explain their differences with him about the COVID relief
- 34:06Speaker 1: package that they feel is much too expensive. It was
- 34:09Speaker 1: a very good exchange of views. I wouldn't say that
- 34:13Speaker 1: we came together on a package tonight. No one expected
- 34:18Speaker 1: that in a two hour meeting. But what we did
- 34:21Speaker 1: agree to do is to follow up and talk further
- 34:26Speaker 1: on how we can continue to work together on this
- 34:30Speaker 1: very important issue. Right now, it looks like there's a
- 34:33Speaker 1: lot of real estate though between the numbers. The GOP
- 34:35Speaker 1: wants to spend six hundred billion with a bee, but
- 34:37Speaker 1: mister Biden is hoping for one point nine trillion with
- 34:41Speaker 1: at the Reverend Jesse Jackson underwent what a rainbow push
- 34:45Speaker 1: polkesperson says was a successful minor surgical procedure last Thursday.
- 34:50Speaker 1: He is recovering, they say, today, in the hospital and
- 34:54Speaker 1: his spirits are good and he looks like everything is good.
- 34:56Speaker 1: The Reverend Jackson, who was diagnosed with Parkinson disease in
- 35:00Speaker 1: twenty fifteen, is said to be on the mend after
- 35:03Speaker 1: being admitted because of an abdominal discomfort that he had.
- 35:08Speaker 1: You may remember he announced his condition to the world
- 35:10Speaker 1: in November of twenty seventeen, and at that time it
- 35:13Speaker 1: was said that he'd actually been diagnosed two years early
- 35:16Speaker 1: at twenty fifteen, but of course our prayers with him.
- 35:19Speaker 1: The Rainbow Pushed spokesperson says it was minor surgery and
- 35:22Speaker 1: it was successful and that the Reverend Jaskin is on
- 35:25Speaker 1: the mend in the hospital. Sad but not tragic news left.
- 35:32Speaker 1: According to his wife, singer Tony Bennett, has been fighting
- 35:35Speaker 1: Alzheimer's for the last four years, but she says he
- 35:38Speaker 1: still sings every day. He's ninety four years old. We
- 35:41Speaker 1: wish him the best as well. Now back to the
- 35:42Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show. Well, today
- 35:47Speaker 1: is Groundhog Day, and naither the snow or the pandemic
- 35:53Speaker 1: delayed the Groundhog Day virtual activities from Gobbler's Knob. We
- 35:57Speaker 1: all know if groundhog punks Connie filled that is the
- 36:01Speaker 1: shadow earlier. Well, it's a blizzard going on right now
- 36:07Speaker 1: where he has yeah, yeah, really or whatever? Yeah, the
- 36:13Speaker 1: fact we've taken our key from a groundhog. I'm gonna
- 36:18Speaker 1: tell you something. Growing up in Chicago, this was a
- 36:20Speaker 1: very very important day into us, very important growing How
- 36:25Speaker 1: long has this been going on forever? O? My god?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Yeah as long as I can remember. Yeah. Did you
- 36:31Speaker 1: see the movie with Bill Murray? Oh? I love that.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I love that classic. It is well he said that
- 36:39Speaker 1: A long radio repeated. So we're in the middle of
- 36:49Speaker 1: a blizzard right now. Thanks for nothing. Has the groundhog
- 36:53Speaker 1: ever been wrong? I just do you understand that that's
- 36:59Speaker 1: really not true? No, we don't understand. Uncle. We've got
- 37:03Speaker 1: our host that ain't got nothing to do with it
- 37:08Speaker 1: for that ain't real what y'all had an hog ever
- 37:12Speaker 1: been wrong? You has been really waiting on this Dame Groundhoday,
- 37:16Speaker 1: ain't even waiting on kay, Steve. Remember I got in
- 37:19Speaker 1: trouble about Santa Claus. Okay, I'm waiting on time to
- 37:23Speaker 1: change back. Damn about this warter groundhog day? All right?
- 37:28Speaker 1: He said, warter Hawk called the calling you called it?
- 37:34Speaker 1: Stay with me calling water Hall. It's a crown, you
- 37:46Speaker 1: crazy man at water. I like the other hall better,
- 37:51Speaker 1: the one that seemed Coulam. That's the one I liked.
- 37:54Speaker 1: So we just found out that it's not actually groundhog Day.
- 37:57Speaker 1: It is what Timmy, it's what hole or it's the
- 38:02Speaker 1: sweat hogs from Welcome Back Carter. It's one of them.
- 38:08Speaker 1: It's groundhog Day, Okay, groundhog Day. You don't care by
- 38:13Speaker 1: a time. You want time change, that's all I care.
- 38:17Speaker 1: All I want time gonna change, so it don't get
- 38:19Speaker 1: dog till eight thirty, that's all I want. I'm with you.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Spring forward, that's what we're waiting on to see and
- 38:26Speaker 1: spring passed at home? Are you just calling it a hog? Now? Hey,
- 38:33Speaker 1: if it's chitling's in there, it's all all right. Coming
- 38:36Speaker 1: up a thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 38:39Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 38:42Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Today is
- 38:47Speaker 1: the second day of Black History Months. We want to
- 38:50Speaker 1: say congratulations to our Queen Stacy Abrams. Stacy Abrams has
- 38:55Speaker 1: been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Come on here yesterday, yesterday.
- 39:01Speaker 1: This is such good news. Norwegian lawmaker Lars Heartbreaking said
- 39:06Speaker 1: abrams work follows in Doctor King Junior doctor Martin Luther
- 39:10Speaker 1: King Junior's footsteps in the fight for equality and for
- 39:13Speaker 1: civil rights. Stacy Abrams voting rights organization Fair Fight Action
- 39:17Speaker 1: has been credited for being on the ground and getting
- 39:20Speaker 1: Georgia voters out to vote. Doctor King won the award
- 39:23Speaker 1: back in nineteen sixty four, if you recall, and just
- 39:28Speaker 1: so just so happy for her, happy for Queen, Yes,
- 39:33Speaker 1: yes yes, and other Black history news. The Black Lives
- 39:37Speaker 1: Matter movement has also been nominated for twenty twenty one
- 39:40Speaker 1: Nobel Peace Prize. A Black Lives Matter calls for systemic
- 39:45Speaker 1: change around the world. That's great news, forcing other countries
- 39:48Speaker 1: to grapple with racism with their own societies, and that's
- 39:52Speaker 1: really good news. The Nobel Peace Prize will be given
- 39:55Speaker 1: out in October, and those are both very good nominations.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Go ahead, girl, I'll tell you somebody else should get
- 40:04Speaker 1: one as we look back on it historically. Colin Kaepernick,
- 40:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I could see that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 1: I see that. Yeah definitely, you know, I mean that's
- 40:21Speaker 1: the way you kick off Black History Month for sure.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Um yeah, I mean really really, I'm just so happy
- 40:28Speaker 1: for Stacy Abrams. Um. You know, there's still a buzz
- 40:32Speaker 1: that she may be running for governor again, of maybe
- 40:37Speaker 1: of Georgia. Yeah, well Georgia blue. You made it blue.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Your Republicans and Georgia are a little scared. They've already
- 40:46Speaker 1: got up a website Stop Stacy or stop Abrams. They're
- 40:51Speaker 1: already getting scared of her right now in case she
- 40:54Speaker 1: might run. You know what I mean, they just stop.
- 40:57Speaker 1: The opposing party just goes into automatic opposition, all tomatic,
- 41:02Speaker 1: because for them it's just power position. To buddy, there's
- 41:05Speaker 1: nothing else. That's all it is. Skip what she's staying for,
- 41:08Speaker 1: what she willing to do, what she willing to fight for.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Your Democrat willn't want you stop Stacy stopped to and man,
- 41:20Speaker 1: we are already starting all. She hasn't made an announcement
- 41:24Speaker 1: or anything, you know. Yeah, but she has been nominated
- 41:29Speaker 1: for a Nobel Peace Prize. Congratulation. Yes, yes, you better
- 41:36Speaker 1: do it. Congratulations. Yeah, we're all very very excited. I mean, Steve,
- 41:45Speaker 1: it's it's a good time right now, um to be black.
- 41:49Speaker 1: You know it really is. Because I'm gonna tell you something, Shirley,
- 41:53Speaker 1: It's always been a good time for me. I'm gonna
- 41:55Speaker 1: just be honest with you. It has been one of
- 41:58Speaker 1: the great joys of life to have to win under
- 42:04Speaker 1: the circumstances that I've had to win, to perform under
- 42:09Speaker 1: the conditions that I've had to perform, and to thrive
- 42:13Speaker 1: and all of the mess that I've had to manage
- 42:16Speaker 1: to thrive in. It has been a great joy. And
- 42:20Speaker 1: plus when I look back on it, I don't know
- 42:23Speaker 1: what I would do if I wasn't black. I would
- 42:26Speaker 1: have missed out on. Being black has been extremely funny
- 42:33Speaker 1: to me, but has been extremely rewarding. It has been
- 42:38Speaker 1: extremely empowering being black. Man has been my honor, my
- 42:46Speaker 1: honor to walk in the room and be the only
- 42:48Speaker 1: Black in the room. And it's like, we can about
- 42:51Speaker 1: it anyway because this is the way God made us.
- 42:54Speaker 1: But I mean, I've walked in rooms and been the
- 42:57Speaker 1: only black in the room. Yeah, yeah, of course I
- 43:01Speaker 1: knew it. Yeah, yes, yes, but walked in that anyway,
- 43:06Speaker 1: and then had been fortunate enough to command the presence
- 43:09Speaker 1: when I walk in. Yeah, I think rob me, man,
- 43:11Speaker 1: God gave me a lot of that. I don't walk
- 43:13Speaker 1: in the room and you don't know I'm in here.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Oh Steve got when does Steve getting here y'all saw
- 43:18Speaker 1: me said no one ever? Right, all right, thank you Steve.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Coming up next, the Nephew with today's prank phone call.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 43:36Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today. The
- 43:38Speaker 1: subject I'm tired of his grunting. Know what that? But yeah,
- 43:47Speaker 1: it's not what you think, um, And maybe it is.
- 43:50Speaker 1: We'll get into it in a few but right now,
- 43:53Speaker 1: it is the nephew here with today's prank phone call.
- 43:56Speaker 1: What you got for us, nep Well, it's Black History y'all.
- 44:00Speaker 1: We've been talking about it this morning, and it gives
- 44:04Speaker 1: me great pleasure to give you something that represents us
- 44:08Speaker 1: to who we are. We need you to be a
- 44:12Speaker 1: slave in Black History Month. What else do you want
- 44:20Speaker 1: me to ask you to do? It? Get your Get
- 44:24Speaker 1: your nephew, Steve. Please, let's go. God Dog. Hello, Hello,
- 44:30Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach to you, missus Glinda, please, miss Glenda.
- 44:34Speaker 1: This is Gary. Gary. I'm with the Black History okay.
- 44:39Speaker 1: You you you participated last year in the in the
- 44:42Speaker 1: Black History Parade? Am I right? Yes? I sure did? Okay,
- 44:45Speaker 1: I got your name from one of the members on
- 44:47Speaker 1: the committee, and we're trying to see if you can
- 44:49Speaker 1: actually bi with some help for this year's Black history. Um,
- 44:52Speaker 1: for this month, I should be glad to help. Okay, listen, UM,
- 44:57Speaker 1: we're having an auction tomorrow and wanted to see if
- 44:59Speaker 1: you could actually maybevel some help with the auction that
- 45:02Speaker 1: we actually have going on tomorrow. Yes, do I need
- 45:06Speaker 1: to donate anything or but no, you need No, We're
- 45:10Speaker 1: not really trying to get some donation from you this time.
- 45:13Speaker 1: We're trying to see if you have some time tomorrow
- 45:15Speaker 1: to come out and actually help out with the actual auction. Okay,
- 45:19Speaker 1: what time tomorrow? Probably like about nine o'clock in the morning.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I can do that, okay. Now we're asking that you
- 45:26Speaker 1: wear something that you will be comfortable in all day
- 45:28Speaker 1: tomorrow possible, okay, Okay, pretty much an all day event
- 45:32Speaker 1: that we're trying to get you to do. Okay, I
- 45:34Speaker 1: could be there around nine, but then we have to
- 45:36Speaker 1: leave about four. Well, I'll tell you what. We'll see
- 45:39Speaker 1: what we can how we can work it out, but
- 45:40Speaker 1: we definitely want you to come and be a part
- 45:42Speaker 1: of what we're doing. So what is it that you
- 45:44Speaker 1: really need be to do. Um. Well, actually, you know,
- 45:48Speaker 1: we we we got a lot of people doing different
- 45:49Speaker 1: things at the you know, at the auction. You know,
- 45:52Speaker 1: so we just want you to come out and be
- 45:54Speaker 1: of some help with everything that's going on. Okay, well
- 45:57Speaker 1: I want to be prepared. So what exactly do I
- 45:59Speaker 1: need to do? The concession stand something like that. No, really,
- 46:02Speaker 1: what we had is actually you being a part of
- 46:05Speaker 1: the auction, of being a part of the auction such as, well,
- 46:10Speaker 1: what we're doing tomorrow is we have already we already
- 46:13Speaker 1: have fifty people who are signed up and you would be,
- 46:16Speaker 1: you know, one of those people that are that are
- 46:18Speaker 1: that are signed up to do the actual What is
- 46:21Speaker 1: is we're having slaves for a day, and what we're
- 46:24Speaker 1: gonna be doing is auctioning you. Often somebody's gonna buy
- 46:27Speaker 1: you tomorrow and you will be the slave for the day. Slaves. Yeah,
- 46:31Speaker 1: you will be a slave for the day. That's what
- 46:34Speaker 1: that's what we've decided to do with the black history.
- 46:36Speaker 1: We decided. I didn't mean I don't I want to participate,
- 46:40Speaker 1: but being a slave no, okay, but see what you
- 46:44Speaker 1: what I want you to understand that this is a
- 46:46Speaker 1: word that calls though you know what we want were
- 46:48Speaker 1: they call. But I'm not gonna be no slave. Well,
- 46:51Speaker 1: well you, I mean you don't have to call it
- 46:53Speaker 1: a slave. I mean as a servant, you know, a butler.
- 46:56Speaker 1: You know what I mean when you want to call it.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I'm no, I ain't gonna be in a slave. Okay, okay, man,
- 47:03Speaker 1: miss miss Glena. What I'm trying to explain to you
- 47:05Speaker 1: this is a word to call for the black history,
- 47:07Speaker 1: and we're trying to get you to be there. Somebody
- 47:09Speaker 1: may buy you for five hundred dollars tomorrow. No, I'm
- 47:12Speaker 1: not gonna do it. Okay are you are you? Are
- 47:16Speaker 1: you turning us down for a word that calls Miss
- 47:18Speaker 1: Glenna's Yes, I am turning your down. Don't call me
- 47:22Speaker 1: with that kind of no more. I mean, I don't
- 47:24Speaker 1: understand what what the problem is. You know, sometimes we
- 47:27Speaker 1: got to repeat history so we don't go back to
- 47:29Speaker 1: the history. Sometimes we got to do it again so
- 47:31Speaker 1: we don't go back to what you understand. But it
- 47:33Speaker 1: isn't seem like you're acting like a housene grow or
- 47:37Speaker 1: something like you two up at your housene grow. Housene grow.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Who's the chairman of this. Excuse me the chairman. Last
- 47:45Speaker 1: time I spoke with mister Wilson, and we didn't have
- 47:48Speaker 1: no like this. Okay, and I understand that. But what
- 47:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to explain to you is this is something
- 47:52Speaker 1: that I don't want you to explain thing to me.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Do not call me with this kind of again. Are
- 47:57Speaker 1: you gonna show up tomorrow so we can tell you?
- 48:00Speaker 1: You understand me. Are you gonna show up tomorrow so
- 48:02Speaker 1: we can sell you? We already have you know we're
- 48:05Speaker 1: gonna sell me. We ain't all listed to be sold tomorrow.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Sell you. We've got you listed to be sold tomorrow, ma'am.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Can we please make you don't be sold? And you
- 48:15Speaker 1: not call here again? Hey, listen, if you don't show
- 48:18Speaker 1: up tomorrow, then we will come to your house and
- 48:20Speaker 1: sell you there. Come to my closet you if I
- 48:23Speaker 1: got to come out, you will come to my house
- 48:27Speaker 1: over here. If you want to listen, I will come
- 48:29Speaker 1: there to sell you. If you're not gonna come out
- 48:31Speaker 1: to the auction, come on to my house, you bad,
- 48:33Speaker 1: Come on to my mouse. Okay, I tell you, and
- 48:36Speaker 1: you know what I need you to do this? You
- 48:37Speaker 1: need to start saying yes sir and no sir to
- 48:39Speaker 1: me right now. Okay, I need to get you in
- 48:41Speaker 1: the in the frame of mind being a save for
- 48:44Speaker 1: to day. Okay, I didn't hear what you said. Kiss
- 48:47Speaker 1: my black I'm coming to your house tomorrow and I'm
- 48:52Speaker 1: gonna sell you in front of your house. If you
- 48:53Speaker 1: want to come down to the auction tomorrow morning, nine
- 48:56Speaker 1: a clock, better bring you my house. You at a
- 49:00Speaker 1: not do you understand me? I a march for civil rights.
- 49:04Speaker 1: I don't have time for no like that. You. I
- 49:08Speaker 1: understand we got a black man for president, but right
- 49:11Speaker 1: now we're trying to raise some money for black history
- 49:13Speaker 1: and we need to sell you tomorrow morning. You're not
- 49:15Speaker 1: gonna sell me. You're not gonna sell me you and
- 49:18Speaker 1: don't call my house no more? Do you understand? Do
- 49:21Speaker 1: not call? I understand exactly what you're saying. Can I
- 49:24Speaker 1: tell you something else? Who else is gonna be so tomorrow?
- 49:27Speaker 1: Tell all? Now? Don't tell me. I got one more
- 49:30Speaker 1: thing I do need to tell you. What is it? Bess?
- 49:33Speaker 1: Is Matthew Tommy from the Steve Harby Morning Show. You
- 49:36Speaker 1: just got pranked by your sisters, My sisters, my sister,
- 49:47Speaker 1: I can't believe that I'm gonna get Huh, I can't
- 49:52Speaker 1: believe you to did clemda? You all right? All right,
- 49:58Speaker 1: this is so crazy. I can't believe it. I'm for this.
- 50:06Speaker 1: It doesn't sound like you were gonna get stole. No way,
- 50:10Speaker 1: he know you wasn't getting on this auction block. Huh,
- 50:13Speaker 1: no no way. Because listen, have been there, I've been
- 50:18Speaker 1: at the city end, the marches, I've done some everything. Yes, ma'am. Well,
- 50:23Speaker 1: I tell you what, missus Glennon, if it wasn't for
- 50:25Speaker 1: people like you, we probably wouldn't be where we are today.
- 50:27Speaker 1: That's right. We showed, Thank you. We showed thinking. I
- 50:30Speaker 1: just wanted to play a joke. And did I get you? Yes?
- 50:32Speaker 1: You did you? Sure? Indeed I got one more. I
- 50:37Speaker 1: got one more thing to ask you? What is what
- 50:39Speaker 1: is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show
- 50:42Speaker 1: in the land, the Steve Harvey Morning Show, but that
- 50:46Speaker 1: the Nephew Tommy. We love you, missus Glendon's okay, love
- 50:50Speaker 1: you too. My favorite time. Frank right there, Oh my god,
- 51:04Speaker 1: my house, you can kiss mind right, I help y'all live.
- 51:09Speaker 1: But I'm not going to be no damn flavor. Man,
- 51:11Speaker 1: I'm not doing that. You went back and saying, if
- 51:16Speaker 1: you don't come down here, I'm coming down there and
- 51:18Speaker 1: sell you at your house, your house. I wish you would.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I wish you would. That's the first thing black people say.
- 51:25Speaker 1: I wish you would over here with it. Come on, oh,
- 51:34Speaker 1: man said said it best white people hold Black people
- 51:38Speaker 1: wish about different creed. We wish that was crazy. This
- 51:49Speaker 1: is Black History Month. Yeah, that's what we're doing on
- 51:56Speaker 1: this shell. So yeah, oh, thank you man. Wow, that
- 52:05Speaker 1: was Glinda and you do it well. All right, thank you,
- 52:14Speaker 1: nev You Coming up next Strawberry Letters subject I'm tired

- 52:40Speaker 1: letter live on the air, just like we're gonna read
- 52:43Speaker 1: this one right here right now. Buckle up and hold
- 52:46Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you here. It is
- 52:48Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. All right, subject, I'm tired of his grunting.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, My husband and I are both in
- 52:56Speaker 1: our early seventies and we've been married for thirty years.
- 53:00Speaker 1: My husband has gained a significant amount of weight in
- 53:03Speaker 1: the last ten years, and he's changed in a lot
- 53:06Speaker 1: of other ways. His table manners are terrible, and he
- 53:09Speaker 1: throws food in his mouth and sounds like he's out
- 53:12Speaker 1: of breath the entire time he's eating. He grunts and
- 53:15Speaker 1: moans while he choose. Our grandchildren think it's funny, but
- 53:19Speaker 1: it drives me crazy. It annoys me so much that
- 53:23Speaker 1: I eat in the din. He moans and groans when
- 53:26Speaker 1: he sits down, and when he gets up. He makes
- 53:28Speaker 1: noises when he gets out of bed and when he
- 53:31Speaker 1: lies down. Whenever he gets in the bed for the night,
- 53:34Speaker 1: he sighs really loud and makes baby noises until he
- 53:38Speaker 1: settles in and gets comfortable. I won't even mention sex
- 53:42Speaker 1: because it's the worst part of my marriage now. Yes,
- 53:45Speaker 1: he still tries to be intimate, so I play along,
- 53:49Speaker 1: but his extra weight and the noises he makes are
- 53:52Speaker 1: a big turn off. He snores like a grizzly bear
- 53:55Speaker 1: and coughs throughout the night. If I sleep in the
- 53:58Speaker 1: other room, his feelings will be hurt and I don't
- 54:00Speaker 1: want to do that. He keeps his routine checkups and
- 54:03Speaker 1: he does not have any health problems, thank heavens. The
- 54:07Speaker 1: only problem the doctor noted was that he was overweight
- 54:10Speaker 1: and wearing out his joints, which is why he grunts
- 54:13Speaker 1: so much. My husband was told to do some cardio
- 54:16Speaker 1: daily and follow a low carb diet, but he won't.
- 54:19Speaker 1: He really suggested. He recently suggested we trade in our
- 54:23Speaker 1: Lexus for an SUV so he'll have more room. He
- 54:27Speaker 1: seems to be cool with all of the extra weight
- 54:29Speaker 1: and grunting, but I'm not. Please tell me what to
- 54:33Speaker 1: do to fix this problem. Well, it is a problems.
- 54:37Speaker 1: It certainly is a problem, and honestly, I don't know
- 54:40Speaker 1: if there's anything you can do to stop it. I
- 54:44Speaker 1: mean it has to be on him to begin with.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I mean, he has to do the work. You can
- 54:49Speaker 1: help him, you know, do it once he starts, and
- 54:53Speaker 1: support him. But he has to do his part. But
- 54:56Speaker 1: you said in the letter he doesn't want to. So
- 55:00Speaker 1: how to ask you? Can you talk to him? Can
- 55:02Speaker 1: you bring the situation up, the subject up about what
- 55:05Speaker 1: the doctor said. Tell him how much you care about
- 55:09Speaker 1: him and how much you really would like for him
- 55:11Speaker 1: to be healthy or healthier. Lose some weight. Maybe you
- 55:16Speaker 1: guys can start walking together. You can suggest these things.
- 55:19Speaker 1: What about you know, cooking some less fattening foods can
- 55:23Speaker 1: be tasty, but you know, less fattening. You guys are
- 55:27Speaker 1: in your seventies. You you know you mentioned that. So
- 55:31Speaker 1: if he doesn't have any health issues now, some could
- 55:35Speaker 1: be coming, you know, with him being overweight. The doctor
- 55:38Speaker 1: already said it's taking a toll on his joints, so
- 55:41Speaker 1: you know, he needs to be cognizant of all of that.
- 55:45Speaker 1: You want him to be with you for a long time.
- 55:47Speaker 1: You could tell him that and tell him to listen
- 55:49Speaker 1: to his doctor. Tell him you know you'll be there
- 55:52Speaker 1: for him, and he could at least try to do better.
- 55:55Speaker 1: He could at least try to do better. That's all
- 55:59Speaker 1: I got, Steve's all I got, Well, it ain't all
- 56:01Speaker 1: I got. See y'all kill me. What y'all like to do?
- 56:05Speaker 1: Is y'all like to answer these letters? Y'all keep dancing around?
- 56:09Speaker 1: What's really going on? All? Right? Here we go? Yeah?
- 56:14Speaker 1: You know? And then Carlin wants you to dance round it,
- 56:17Speaker 1: you know, so she can you know air and it
- 56:19Speaker 1: don't be offensive to nobody. You two are the non
- 56:23Speaker 1: offensive on the show, you know. But don't try to
- 56:29Speaker 1: tell Sometimes you have to get two people. Now, that's
- 56:31Speaker 1: what I'm here for. My husband now and now early seventies.
- 56:35Speaker 1: We've been together, being married thirty years. My husband has
- 56:40Speaker 1: gained a significant amount of weight in the last ten years,
- 56:46Speaker 1: and he's changed in a lot of other way. Well,
- 56:50Speaker 1: let's just go on and get to this letter right now.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Didn't gain too much. Damn with it. O Bob is
- 57:00Speaker 1: up in there now. You know, Chucky Cheese is in
- 57:06Speaker 1: the building now hammering hank. No, don't tell me about
- 57:11Speaker 1: no fat shaming. She wrote the letter, her husband has
- 57:15Speaker 1: gained a significant amount of work. When a person says
- 57:19Speaker 1: significant amount of weight, oh that's weight right there? Ain't
- 57:23Speaker 1: him pounds significant? And then he's changed in a lot
- 57:27Speaker 1: of ways. His table manners are terrible. It's called he big,
- 57:32Speaker 1: he big. How do you think he's gonna have neat
- 57:35Speaker 1: ass table manners? He can't even tuck his shirty in
- 57:37Speaker 1: no more. He don't use no napkin for what that
- 57:42Speaker 1: food got to travel too far from the plate to
- 57:44Speaker 1: his mouth, and every time he throws food in his
- 57:48Speaker 1: mouth sound like he out of breath. I didn't ate
- 57:54Speaker 1: with people like that. Now, let me tell you what
- 57:57Speaker 1: I did like about the letter. He's left and he
- 58:00Speaker 1: sounds like he had a breath entire time. He grunts
- 58:03Speaker 1: and moans while he choose. Our grandchildren think it's funny,
- 58:06Speaker 1: but it drives me crazy. Oh the kids is holly.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Oh the kids is holly because they hear it. Now,
- 58:22Speaker 1: the kids is Holly's driving you crazy. It annoys me
- 58:26Speaker 1: so much that I eat in the den. He moans
- 58:30Speaker 1: and groans when he sits up, and he when he
- 58:32Speaker 1: sits down, and when he gets up. Now that's happening
- 58:36Speaker 1: old people. Nah, that's getting That's how you get up. Yah,
- 58:43Speaker 1: gotta make that large when you get up. Now, here's
- 58:45Speaker 1: to sit down? Nor who what a relief? Yeah, that's
- 58:53Speaker 1: getting up. That's sitting down. All right. We'll have part
- 59:02Speaker 1: two of Steve's respond Steve, you're healthy. Maybe you can
- 59:05Speaker 1: help him out. Coming up in twenty three minutes after
- 59:11Speaker 1: the hour. Subject of the letter. I'm tired of his grunting.
- 59:15Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this you're listening to show,
- 59:21Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter subject.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I'm tired of his grunting. Lady been laying him in
- 59:28Speaker 1: the early seventies. They've been married thirty years. Your husband
- 59:31Speaker 1: and grain a lot away. The significant amount of buddy
- 59:35Speaker 1: fat asses up in here just eating wrong. His table
- 59:38Speaker 1: manners is wrong. He grunt and smacked when he chewing,
- 59:42Speaker 1: and sound like he had a breath the entire time eating,
- 59:45Speaker 1: and and and and and The grandchildren think it's funny,
- 59:49Speaker 1: but it drives you crazy. Well, the grandkids gonna think
- 59:51Speaker 1: it funny. You know. We had a minister that used
- 59:55Speaker 1: to come to our churchen, used to smacking taste the
- 59:57Speaker 1: whole time he was delivering the summon leave the garden,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: you understand, like the large sand y'all don't hear me. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: we hear you. It's just that we're hearing a lot
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: of extra stuff too. Well. Now he makes noises when
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: he gets up and when he gets down, when he
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: sits up, and when he sits down. I told you before,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: that's getting up, that's sitting down. That's up, that's down.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: All right. Whenever he gets in the bed for the night,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: he sighed really loud and he makes baby noises until
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: he's settling. Here we go, I know what that is,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: because that's I got, I got part of do that.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: So he gets in the bed and then heal yeah.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: And then when he get that cover upon him and
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: get that pillar right, then he go yeah. It's kind
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: of like old ass versions of nursery rhymes. Don't let
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: that body all right now here we go. I won't
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: even mention sex because it's the worst part of my match. Yes,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: he stills tried to initiate, so I play along. But
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: that extra weight and the nass is a big turn off.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: I bet it is. And he got all his big ass,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: got all this weight in here. He trying to be sexy, sexy,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: been gonna he roll over on you. But little dude,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: he know he already was on you. See that's what's
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: hard about when big ass people roll over on you.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: They don't realize that they was already on you. Now
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: he'd roll this big ass over that nas all over here.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Now it doesn't overlappt. I know, I know, ladies, I
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: know you don't want me to go there, but I'm
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: trying to fix it. And then ain't it just just
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: his big ass ain't gonna now? Let me get to
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the park. He snowed like a grizzly bad cough throughout
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: the night. I sleep out of the rooms and feeling
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: get hurt. So I don't want to do that. Now
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: here's depart. He keeps his routine checkups and he does
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: not have any health problems, Thank heavens. What who the
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: hell is y'all's doctor? You the diagnose full medical problems
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: in this damn ledder? And then the doctor Terry, y'all
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: ain't nothing wrong with him, his fat ass gotta wait problem.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: He wheezes when he talked, He got a small esophagus
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: because he got a grunt, and make noises while he
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: chewing and stuff. He has sex. He way too much,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: he's slopping. How many more medical problems you need? He
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: got him at now he wants it. The doctor and
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: told him to have a low carb diet and do
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: some cardio daily. Old seventy year old people don't even
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: know what that means. Quit eating so much and start walking.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: And we're not having breakfast, you do because cardio on
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: a fasted stomach helps you burn more fat. Now that's
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: all the help I got for you. Well, yeah, because
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: you're into health, and I'm very much into health, but
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: not in this letter. Lady Head wants to trade into
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Lexus so he can get an suv. That's because he's
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: starting to get staying wheel burns on his stomach in
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: that Lexus, you know, because he making all him right
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: and left turns, and he get developer staring wheel burns
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: on his big ass stomach in that little ass Lexus.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: He figured he get that suv. Bag about this wheel
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: a little bit, he probably gonna have just gone and
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: start driving a city busting, if you know what I mean,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Because that's staring wheel is further way from me right there.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: That's all I got to walk and diet and lose
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: some pounds and you know it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: seems to be cool with all this extra where he
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: ain't cool with it. He just ain't doing nothing to
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: get over and he's seventy. Yeah, he doesn't want to.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: But I'm gonna tell you something a doctor one time
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: told me. He says, Steve, do you know any seventy
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: year old, three hundred pound people? He said, bro, you
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: can't do that in your old age. Your heart can't
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: take it. That's right. He has got to get himself together.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: You have got to work with him. If you love him,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: you got to get him do it. And that weight
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: is causing him to breathe heavy and strange and all
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: that grunting to get up and down. That's what that's weight.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: That's like having ah. That's like somebody just laying a
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: careful a can of ham on your chest at night.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: You know you ne had a whole ham pick fifteen
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: pound ham at the store in the can and just
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: lay it on your chest at night. That's how he feels.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: That's what all that breathing is for. He got a
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: whole can of ham on his ass at night. So
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: if she yeah, okay, we agree on that. If she
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: helps a lot of hard saying cook low calorie meals, yeah,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: you know stuff like that. All right, Thank you, Steve.

- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Bay though, I really can respect though. You know, Tom
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Brady is the greatest quarterback ever played this game, and
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: oh my god, hands down. But when we root for
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: a team, though, are we rooting because it as a
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: player we like on the team. Yeah? Yeah, yeah, you

- 1:08:36Speaker 1: plans for a night on the town in favor of
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: a quiet Valentine's Day at home. Well, lots of us
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: are going to be doing that this year. But that
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: doesn't mean it can't be romantic. Our chief Love Officer,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: mister Steve Harvey is here to give us some tips
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: to create a Valentine's Day. Yeah, like you know, some
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: romance ambiance. H C. Hello, we need that from you.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: So let's tart about been in this house since last March?
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: What the hell we've been doing here now? Yes? Well
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: that's why we have a clo Yeah clo, come ony,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: women are calling about that. Women are the creators of
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: It's the thought that count. So give me a budget,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: shure and give me a situation. How you want me
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: to salve all right roses in the yard? I don't
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: I don't know what the budget is. Let me think
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: about the budget. So you have a couple of hundred bucks, Steve,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: let's talk decore the table, dinner, wardrobe. A couple of
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: hundred bucks to spend. It's not a lot, I mean,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: it's just you know, I'm trying. I gotta think of
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: where I can send them or what he can go
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: get doing this pandemic, you know, So you gotta be creative.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: First of all. Here's what you do. And I'm not
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: just saying this because they advertise on the show, but
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: they do have a good deal one eight hundred flowers.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Come on now that right there, get you in the
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: door with some flowers. Women love flowers for the most part.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: And they got some great deal. So you are here
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: two hundred, you weigh in twenty nine all that they
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: got it for you. Okay, so cool. If you live
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: in a wintry place and it is snowing, listen to me, fellers.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Go out there, make a ball of snow about one
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: foot Indian diameter, you know, just a big huge snowball.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Then get a butter knife and carve it in the
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: shape of a heart. Okay. Then take red koolaid and
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: pull it on. Now I'm gonna drink that. It's okay,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: koolaid is cheap. And take outside and show it it's
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: red heart. And then and then as the days go by,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: you leave the heart out there, and every time you
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: go but you just say, hey, you melt my heart.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Just keep going right there, so you write there. Now,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: if you live in a warm climate, set up a
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: little small table on the back and just have dessert
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: on the back porch with a linen tablecloth on it
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: and a candle. You know, you know, look, look, you
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: know you might have to put a jacket or coat
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: on or something. But it's just dessert, not the whole meal.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Just sit on the back porch with the candlelit. Have
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: you one eight flower? One eight hundred flowers brought out there?
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: And sit on the back porch on the candle and
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: just say, hey, I just wanted to change the scene
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: of me with the girl in my dreams. Understand, we can't.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: We can't do that, nicke though while we have it's
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: good dessert, So we're not gonna be out there. I
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: just said he was outside and I'm asking can it
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: be nicked? Well, I'm just asking you. Do you have
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: neighbors where you have where you live. Most people have
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: have neighbors. Most people have neighbors, tom and most most
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: wives don't want to sit outside naked. Ain't never tried
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: it though. That ain't never tried. And there's a reason
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: why they ain't never tried. But the ain't no bugs out.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: It ain't spring yet. You know what I'm saying, Hey, dog,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: why don't you get off zoom and because as soon
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: as you cut your zoom camera, you sit there and
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: look at yourself and you get dumber. And I don't
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: want you to do something else to talk. Stop saying
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: stupid is a skill set? You got it because it's not.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: It's you dog, ain't no skills. Just because you don't
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: want to be out naked and handsome dessert, don't mean
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: nobody else. There's some people want to have some naked dessert.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you what do you know anybody wants to
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: sit outside ned and had desert? You know anybody? Anybody?
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: I mean, I mean other than me. I haven't really
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: asked nobody, but I mean, but I mean conversations to
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: come up. You go. Sound it good? You got somebody
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you can go ask, Go in and ask them. Let
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: us know how I go back. There's nothing to ask
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: my wife to go sit out in a hand on
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: say Morning show. All right, guys, things have gotten real.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: The former Vice President Mike Pence um went from flying
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: on Air Force two to flying coach on American Airlines YEP.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: The former Vice President and his Karen Pence flew coach
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: from Saint Croix to Charlotte, North Carolina, with Secret Service
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: agents nearby. Word has it that Mike Pence and his
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: family will move back to Indiana in the summer coach too.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I presume right, yeah, I'm gonna tell you quickly. Air Force.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: You want to know a big ass drop off from
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: air Force one to cook Man and Secret Service though. Yeah,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: from them taking your I got the least, get the
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: first class ticket. I got the least need that clo
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: hurting or something. I saw him in the airport. They
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: showed a picture of them just sitting in the terminals.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: That the game. At least some warm nuts come home,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: lam nuts. You know, they passed our warm nuts. And
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: first I just heard you said, who is he talking
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: about that? On the day shot the kids in the
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: car show. See, you know what the problem is. You
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: haven't flown commercial per class in years, so you have
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: no earthly idea about the warm nuts. What ever, that
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: means a lot to us. The he pred minutes after
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: the hour right after this, you're listening to the show. Well,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: today is Groundhog Day, and uh, neither the snow or
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: this pandemic delayed the Groundhog Day virtual activities from Gobbler's Knob.

- 1:15:37Speaker 1: gonna tell you something. Growing up in Chicago, this was
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: a very very important day to us, very important growing
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: How has this been going on? Whatever? God? Yeah, as
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: long as I can remember. Yeah, didn't you see the
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: movie with Bill Murray on? Oh? I love that? Yeah,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: I love that classic? It is what he said that
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: a law park. The radio repeated the same over. I
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: ain't sorry. We're in the middle of a blizzard right now.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Thanks for nothing. Has the groundhog ever been wrong? Just
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: do you understand that that's really not true? No, we
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: don't understand. Uncle. We've got our home that ain't got
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: nothing to do with it, But that ain't real. Had
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: the ground hog ever been wrong? You has been really
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: waiting on the damn ground waiting on? Okay, Steve, remember
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I got in trouble about Santa Claus. Okay, I'm waiting
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: on time to change back. I don't damn about the
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: war groundhog day, all right, he said, Warhols called it calling,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: you called it. Stay with me calling. I'm about to
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: wall it's a groundhog, you crazy man? Care about two water.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I like the other Hall batter, the one that seem
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: con that's the one I liked. So we just found
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: out that it's not actually Groundhog Day. It is what Timmy,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: it's water Hall, or it's the sweathogs from Welcome Back Carter,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: it's one of them. It's groundhog Day, Okay, groundhog Day.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: You don't care about a tag. You want time change,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: That's all I care all. I want a little time
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: gonna change so it don't get dark till eight thirty.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: That's all I want. Spring forward, that's what we're waiting
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: on to see and spring passed that hall? Are you
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: just calling it a hog? Now? Hey? If it's Chipling's
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: in there, it's all man, all right. Coming up is
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and we'll have a
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: course some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Harvey at forty nine minutes after right after this you're
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: listening to show, all right, Steve, Here we are on
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: our last break of the day for this Tuesday, and
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: time for closing remarks. I think I spoke about this
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: a little bit last week, but I want to make
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: sure everybody got this. You know, I'm really, really, really
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: looking forward to twenty twenty one. However, it goes even
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: even with the bumps and lumps that it has taken
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: so far this year. I mean, twenty twenty one for
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: a lot of people has gotten off a little rough.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Twenty twenty one for a lot of people has been
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: like a new start. But the fact of the matter is,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: for all of us, all of us, twenty twenty one
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: is a blessing to even be here. Of all the
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: things that's probably in twenty twenty, have you realized have
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you stopping to take just a moment to look at
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: yourself and go, you know what, I survived it. I'm here.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: You know this, All this talk about a vaccine, whether
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: you should take it or not, all the number of
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: cases in the United States, the number of deaths. I mean, man,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: it's it's just horrific news. But you still here. A
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: lot of people lost, lost love ones, and that's that's
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: just a hurtful thing. There's no way around it. I
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: know exactly how that feels. But I'm still here. The
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: blessing is I'm still here. I just got a call
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: yesterday one of my frat brothers, man who I was
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: just on the phone with last week. He died yesterday. Dog,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about a good brother too. Man, Brother Timothy
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Moore side Gamma Kent State University, one of the great brothers.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: Man was a professor at the Institute of African American
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Affairs down there, Kent State. Man. Just a stellar human being, man,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: great father, great family man. He passed yesterday. I was
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: just talking with him. Man, we was just email, exchanging
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: some ideas. He gone. But you know what I have
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: to do. I had to keep looking in the mirror.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I had to keep looking forward and realize, to God's
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: grace and mercy, we still him. We still here. Man,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: man O, man o Man. So guess what with that
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: fact right there, I'm taking twenty twenty one. I'm gonna
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: do something with mine. As long as God give me breath,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna do something with mine. Whatever the day's left
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: he has for me, I'm gonna do something with mine.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: I'm committed to waking up every day to put myself
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: on the journey to become better. I'm putting myself in
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: it every day to win. I'm putting myself in it
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: every day to get stronger, wiser, just be a better man,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: a better husband, a better father, a better friend. Man,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: You can better yourself. The decision to better yourself is yours.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: This is yours. You don't need nobody's permission to better yourself.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Stop sitting around waiting on accolades and affirmation from other people.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: You don't need that. Get together with your creator and
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: get your own affirmation. I am better now, Thank you Lord.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I feel stronger now, Thank you Lord. Then people, most
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: people can't give you strength. I haven't met the person
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: yet who strengthens me. I've yet to meet them. Oh,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: I've had some people to encourage me. I've had some
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: people you know and tell me to hang in. God
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: is the only person I meant that strengthens me, that
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: gives me complete peace when the whole world around me
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: is swirling. Do you know, man, that if you work
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: on your relationship with God? Do you know that when
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: the storm comes, you can handle it better. Do you
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: understand that when it gets real hot for you out there,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: that you have a person a ride that you can
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: get and feel like you tucked under his wings? Do
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: you understand how important that is? See, we have a
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: relationship with God. It don't mean that you ain't gonna
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: have problem struggles, hardships, and things of that nature. Because
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: you are This is life. Man. Quit thinking, Man, I'm
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: being a Christian. Something always happened to me. It's something
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: always happening to everybody. Everybody. You're not the only one.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: President Obama has stuff happening to him. Biden got stuff
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: happening to him. Everybody got stuff. Kamala Harris got stuff
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: happening to her. Stacy, every Tiger Woods got stuff happening
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: in to him. Everybody got something happening to him. Welcome
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: to life. That's what it is. But you know what
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you also have. You have the power of choice. Because
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: God created us in his image, and when he created
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: us in his image, he gave us the power of imagination,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: and he gave us the power of choice. You get
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: to decide to do right or wrong. You get to
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: decide to chase your dreams. You get the right to
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: have dreams. Birds can't have dreams. They don't. Animals do
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: what animals do. They mate a certain time of the year,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: they eat this type of food, or they either carnivorous
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: or omnivore. They do vegetables. They don't have a choice.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: You're a human being. You have a choice you created
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: in God's image, You can actually do the right thing.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: You can will yourself to success. You can actually be
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: successful this year. Have you ever taken that request to God? Though?
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Have you ever just sat down and really, man, throw
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: yourself at his feet? In which you know what, I'm
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: nothing without you. I need you every step of the way,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: shape me and make me and mold me into the
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: person you want me to be. Have you ever done that?
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Just try it? Just try it, man. It could be
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: the beginning of something great for you. As a matter
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: of fact, it will be the beginning of something great
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: to you, because that's all I got for you. That's
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: the only reason I am who I am today, because
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: I decided to let him take the will because my
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: driving skills is crazy. Those are my closing remarks. All right,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: y'all have a good one. Talk to God. He loved
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: to hear from you, He really would, and he don't
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: hold it against you that you ain't been over there
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: in a while. Just go talk to God, y'all, have
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: a good for all. Steve Harvey contests no purchase necessary
