- 2:04Speaker 1: Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on
- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show man. God is in a blessing business. I'm
- 2:16Speaker 1: in the receiving line, man. That's a good feeling, you know.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I thank God for waking me up in the mornings.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I really really do. I thank God for the spirit
- 2:29Speaker 1: that he wakes me up with because I finally, but
- 2:33Speaker 1: I finally figured it out. Such a blessing that shouldn't
- 2:37Speaker 1: be taken for granted. The fact that you are up today,
- 2:40Speaker 1: the fact that you just got off work and you're
- 2:42Speaker 1: driving home, the fact that you got a job to
- 2:45Speaker 1: come home from the fact that you got a job
- 2:48Speaker 1: to wake up too. Whatever it is, the fact that
- 2:51Speaker 1: you can see, think, here, smell, walk, talk, rhyme, reason,
- 2:57Speaker 1: whatever it is, it's a blessing. Man, It is a blessing.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Every time he wakes you up, it's him saying, hey,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I ain't through with you yet. Hey, man, still got
- 3:10Speaker 1: still got some work for you, still putting you into
- 3:14Speaker 1: the plan. And you know, um, I was talking to
- 3:17Speaker 1: a partner of mine last night and an analogy came
- 3:21Speaker 1: to me last night of what my life has been like.
- 3:26Speaker 1: And I was just going over my story with a
- 3:28Speaker 1: friend of matter, all the some of the things I
- 3:30Speaker 1: had gone through, and he never knew it because he said, man,
- 3:33Speaker 1: you never told me that. We were just talking. One
- 3:37Speaker 1: of the things I remember, and it's kind of equated
- 3:40Speaker 1: to my life, was when I was a little boy
- 3:45Speaker 1: and should go to the store with my mom and
- 3:49Speaker 1: she would let me buy a jigsaw puzzle and uh,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I love getting the jigsaw puzzle. Custom man. It was
- 3:58Speaker 1: it was that was just interesting to me. You know,
- 4:01Speaker 1: for those of you to grow it back in the day,
- 4:03Speaker 1: you know, it's kind of cool because you know, I
- 4:05Speaker 1: was telling my partner, you know what, no video games
- 4:07Speaker 1: to play another. So in the wintertime, a jigsaw puzzle
- 4:11Speaker 1: was kind of cool to me. It gave me something
- 4:12Speaker 1: to do. And what we do is my mother would
- 4:15Speaker 1: spread out a piece of newspaper on the section of
- 4:18Speaker 1: the floor, or spread out some newspaper on the end
- 4:21Speaker 1: of the table, and I would buy a jigsaw puzzle. Now,
- 4:27Speaker 1: for those of you, a jigsaw puzzle comes in the box.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Now are no instructions. It just comes in a box
- 4:35Speaker 1: and it's simple. You're gonna dump the pieces out in
- 4:38Speaker 1: the pile and you're gonna try to put the pieces
- 4:42Speaker 1: together until it looks like the picture that's on the
- 4:47Speaker 1: cover of the box. That's as simple as it is.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Here is the deal. I would select a jigsaw puzzle
- 5:00Speaker 1: based on the picture that I liked and if I
- 5:07Speaker 1: thought I could do it. Now, if the jigsaw puzzle
- 5:11Speaker 1: ift the picture looked too crazy, if it looked too intricate,
- 5:15Speaker 1: too detailed, I didn't want that puzzle, you know. And
- 5:19Speaker 1: the thing was, back in the day you got a
- 5:21Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, you had a hundred piece puzzles. Four hundred
- 5:24Speaker 1: piece puzzles. Man, then they say a thousand piece puzzle.
- 5:28Speaker 1: You go, oh, man. So those were a little difficult
- 5:33Speaker 1: for me when I was a little boy, so I
- 5:35Speaker 1: didn't want that. As I got a little bit older,
- 5:39Speaker 1: I had more challenging puzzles, you know, for fifty five
- 5:44Speaker 1: hundred piece puzzles. But I always picked a picture of
- 5:49Speaker 1: something I liked and wanted to see happen. So it's
- 5:54Speaker 1: very simple. You get the jigsaw puzzle, you get it home,
- 5:57Speaker 1: you open it up, you dump it out on the table.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You flip all the pieces over so you can see them,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and then I would try to sort them based on
- 6:07Speaker 1: the colors on the box. If it was like a
- 6:10Speaker 1: a black section, I take all the black pieces and
- 6:13Speaker 1: slide them over there. If it was some flowers, I
- 6:16Speaker 1: try to find all the pictures with little jigsaw pieces
- 6:19Speaker 1: with the little floor, and I separate them. And then
- 6:22Speaker 1: I started putting it together. And the way I started
- 6:24Speaker 1: was I try to build the border first, because I
- 6:27Speaker 1: knew all the straight edges had to be side by
- 6:30Speaker 1: side at one point, so I'd go like that. And
- 6:34Speaker 1: it was funny, man, because it's related to my life.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I would start putting the pieces together of the picture
- 6:42Speaker 1: I saw that I liked, and that would be my picture.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And oftentimes when I got through with the puzzle, the
- 6:50Speaker 1: puzzle would be about maybe two ft wide two feet high,
- 6:56Speaker 1: something like that. I liked them about that side. Sometimes
- 6:59Speaker 1: I get a little bigger one pin on the size
- 7:02Speaker 1: of the piece of stuff, and I would make that puss.
- 7:06Speaker 1: A lot of people didn't like jigsaw puzzles. The majority
- 7:10Speaker 1: of people I knew and my friends didn't like jigsaw
- 7:13Speaker 1: puzzles because they didn't like the work. And I had
- 7:16Speaker 1: a partner that used to come to my house and
- 7:18Speaker 1: see mine and get mad, and he'd go home and
- 7:21Speaker 1: started wanting he gets too difficult along the way, and
- 7:24Speaker 1: then he'd stopped go back to it, and his puzzle
- 7:28Speaker 1: was left unfinished a lot of time. As a matter
- 7:31Speaker 1: of fact, none of the boys on the street like
- 7:33Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzles. But me. What happened was, as I got older,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I wanted more difficult than challenging puzzles, but I wouldn't
- 7:43Speaker 1: go too far. I wanted some nice stuff to happen.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I had a picture of what I wanted for my life,
- 7:50Speaker 1: but I didn't want to go too far because it
- 7:53Speaker 1: was so challenging and difficult. I had I couldn't see
- 7:57Speaker 1: myself at all of that, and I didn't have the time,
- 8:00Speaker 1: the knowledge, the expertise to figuring all the intricate details.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And I discovered something when I was talking last night.
- 8:10Speaker 1: That's what happens in life to a lot of people.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You get bogged down with the details of coming up.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You said, all that pulls are crazy. Next thing you know,
- 8:19Speaker 1: you crumbled it up and put it back in the box.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So you go halfway and you get stuck, and you
- 8:24Speaker 1: get to the part where it ain't a lot of
- 8:26Speaker 1: different colors. It's all the same, and that's a little
- 8:28Speaker 1: bit more challenging. So that may stop you. But it's
- 8:31Speaker 1: somewhere in the jig saw puzzle that it gets very
- 8:34Speaker 1: difficult and challenging. The bigger the picture you want, but
- 8:38Speaker 1: then what are happened in your life? It's just like
- 8:43Speaker 1: what ha happened in the jigsaw. Once you get comfortable
- 8:47Speaker 1: and you don't mind the challenge, you could get a
- 8:51Speaker 1: bigger picture. But here's the key to it, though, if
- 8:55Speaker 1: you put God in your mix. See the picture that
- 8:59Speaker 1: I saw all for myself as a boy is not
- 9:02Speaker 1: the picture that has happened to me as a man.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Because along the way from boyhood to manhood, from the
- 9:10Speaker 1: time I was tending, you understand what happened along the
- 9:13Speaker 1: riding there was I started putting God in the mix.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And so now the picture that I have now is
- 9:21Speaker 1: not the picture I saw. It's the picture that God saw.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So what I'm saying this analogy is the picture you
- 9:30Speaker 1: have may be difficult to complete, but if you were
- 9:34Speaker 1: to include God in your life, put God in your
- 9:38Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, God will not only help you complete the puzzle,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and he gonna add some pieces, he gonna do some favors,
- 9:49Speaker 1: he gonna show some mercy, and you're gonna look up
- 9:51Speaker 1: and the picture that you're able to end up with
- 9:54Speaker 1: or be totally different and much more complete, much more
- 9:58Speaker 1: beautiful or bigger picture than the one you had. Because
- 10:01Speaker 1: there's no way that I could have saw the life
- 10:04Speaker 1: that I have today back when I was a boy.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And it amazes me when I hear people say I
- 10:09Speaker 1: always saw this for myself. I didn't do that. I
- 10:13Speaker 1: didn't quite see this for myself. I don't know how
- 10:16Speaker 1: you can have the ability to see what God really
- 10:19Speaker 1: has for you. But man, he's a masterful jigsaw. Man,
- 10:23Speaker 1: he's an incredible puzzle completer. So, if you got a
- 10:26Speaker 1: puzzle that's challenging to you, what's the picture that God
- 10:30Speaker 1: has for your life? If God were in your life,
- 10:35Speaker 1: if you completed the puzzle, what would it look like.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It'll be a far more extensive puzzle, and it would
- 10:42Speaker 1: be a far more beautiful piece of scenery than you
- 10:45Speaker 1: could have ever imagined. And guess what, He ain't through
- 10:48Speaker 1: with me yet. That's what's amazing and exciting about a
- 10:52Speaker 1: relationship with God. God could take your jigs all puzzle
- 10:56Speaker 1: and fix it. Ladies and gentlemen, everybody your attention, please,
- 11:05Speaker 1: we are in full effect this morning. Shelly Stowberry. Hey,

- 13:15Speaker 1: They actually thought she was him. Man, that show. I

- 21:38Speaker 1: just about the air conditioning unit? You did some work
- 21:40Speaker 1: offf Force over on uh my household off Street. Do
- 21:43Speaker 1: you remember coming out there last week? Yeah? Yeah, I remember, yeah, right,
- 21:49Speaker 1: my Uh it was a lady that my wife, she
- 21:51Speaker 1: let you in to come right there is their problem

- 21:57Speaker 1: it's cooling everything fat. I want to tell you, uh
- 22:00Speaker 1: that you did you did a good job. But I
- 22:03Speaker 1: got a question for you now. When you was at
- 22:04Speaker 1: the house and you was working on the A condition
- 22:07Speaker 1: out there in the backyard, did you did you happen
- 22:10Speaker 1: to go on the side of my house and pull
- 22:14Speaker 1: out and used the bath room right there on the side.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Did you go in and you do number one on
- 22:20Speaker 1: the side of mind? Well, what I'm saying is that
- 22:23Speaker 1: my wife tells me that when you were there, that
- 22:26Speaker 1: you you went on the side. She was looking out
- 22:28Speaker 1: the winners. She said that when you was there that
- 22:30Speaker 1: you uh and went and used the bath room on
- 22:34Speaker 1: the side hole. I did what not to what? Right? You? You? You?
- 22:42Speaker 1: You and you did number one over on the side
- 22:45Speaker 1: of the house. Not is that something that you did? Say? Man, Look,
- 22:49Speaker 1: you got to understand something, all right now. I apologize
- 22:52Speaker 1: if that did happen, but you got to understand something.
- 22:55Speaker 1: You know, we're down the south man, and you know
- 22:57Speaker 1: we're talking eighty five, ninety and ninety five, greet weather Man.
- 23:00Speaker 1: I got to stay high trated. I got to drink
- 23:02Speaker 1: a lot of fluids. So you know, with me being
- 23:05Speaker 1: the age that I am. I have to drink a
- 23:07Speaker 1: lot of fluid and the tend to pass through once
- 23:09Speaker 1: and once again. I said, I apologize. I understand all that,
- 23:12Speaker 1: but you know what, I can't accept no apologies like
- 23:15Speaker 1: that when I got a man this got on the
- 23:17Speaker 1: side of my house and then man, I'm apologizing to
- 23:21Speaker 1: you and you're coming off on me like that you
- 23:23Speaker 1: do and on the side of my house in front
- 23:26Speaker 1: of my wife not looking at young man. Now, if
- 23:28Speaker 1: your wife shown me it was really she needs to
- 23:32Speaker 1: see some type of because you never really ain't doing
- 23:35Speaker 1: something you know that happen? Oh you think you're talking
- 23:38Speaker 1: to you watching me anyway? Do my work? What is
- 23:42Speaker 1: she hold up that she got to look at the
- 23:44Speaker 1: old man? Look? Look, look, all I know is I
- 23:47Speaker 1: don't want to know man at my house in the
- 23:50Speaker 1: huse side of the house, back yard. Nothing. Look, man,
- 23:55Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Dog, let me tell you something.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I'm the only person and house you understand me. You
- 24:01Speaker 1: ain't right the ship out there looking at me. Look
- 24:04Speaker 1: your fun I'm a professional, Okay, I do my job
- 24:08Speaker 1: and I take my job with pride. Okay, it's not
- 24:11Speaker 1: being professional. There's something that I did that's that water
- 24:13Speaker 1: running through me. Right, okay, but you don't. You don't
- 24:17Speaker 1: at no other man's house. And you at my house
- 24:20Speaker 1: and my wife sitting there looking at you. I have
- 24:21Speaker 1: to wonder, now I got a problem with that or
- 24:24Speaker 1: what you need to help? Come with your wife looking

- 26:46Speaker 1: That is Nephew time. If this is Nephew timing from
- 26:50Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show, you just god pranked by
- 26:54Speaker 1: your boy name know what I'm gonna get with his
- 27:01Speaker 1: and he know I got a hard computation. I don't
- 27:04Speaker 1: need this my life, man, he said. Man, my boy
- 27:09Speaker 1: be out there fixing a conditions that he doesn't think.
- 27:11Speaker 1: He said, Man, let me tell you something, he said,
- 27:13Speaker 1: be frustrated to begin with, he said again MC call man,
- 27:17Speaker 1: because I got nine to got to do the date. Hey, man,
- 27:22Speaker 1: you like, yeah, I'm I'm I'm light, not this you.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I might not you and that Steve hard from Dawn
- 27:30Speaker 1: Foods in the Morning. I didn't say, y'all care. Come on, man,
- 27:34Speaker 1: I don't know how I sit back riding laughing and
- 27:37Speaker 1: you get people. Y'alln't got me with the same. Oh man,
- 27:42Speaker 1: I enjoy y'all show man, y'all good dog gone work.
- 27:45Speaker 1: I appreciate men. I got one more question to ask you, man,
- 27:48Speaker 1: what is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 27:52Speaker 1: show in the land. Well, you know the Steve Morning Show.
- 27:57Speaker 1: There you go, shot, all right, you're listening to the
- 28:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Millennials are going broke. I think
- 28:10Speaker 1: we all have millennials. Yeah I don't have. Yeah you
- 28:18Speaker 1: have a genny, Yeah you have one of those, Carlin.
- 28:20Speaker 1: We all have millennials here. They say they're going broke
- 28:23Speaker 1: because of social media, though, according to research by Alian's Life,
- 28:29Speaker 1: percent of millennials that's compared to eight percent of Gen
- 28:33Speaker 1: xers and seven percent of Baby boomers say they've spent
- 28:36Speaker 1: money they didn't have because of something they saw on
- 28:39Speaker 1: social media. Yeah, yeah, with our money, right, not keeping
- 28:45Speaker 1: away with right Facebook. But we have jobs, we can
- 28:52Speaker 1: buy it our kids. Uh all right. It seems lots
- 28:55Speaker 1: of millennials feel pressured to keep up appearances, with nearly
- 28:59Speaker 1: fifty percent saying they're influenced by their friends posts of
- 29:02Speaker 1: lavish vacations and lifestyles. Now, according to the survey, social
- 29:07Speaker 1: media has become the millennials financial Achilles heel, All right, yeah,
- 29:14Speaker 1: you agree, not have that problems on a polar road.
- 29:19Speaker 1: And if you saw it when you were cutting grass
- 29:21Speaker 1: and collecting bottels and all that stuff to get money,
- 29:24Speaker 1: it was a whole different story. It was a hustle, yeah,
- 29:28Speaker 1: or you got allowances. I think it's more reactionary spending
- 29:33Speaker 1: available to young people now, compulsive spending. I mean, you know,
- 29:37Speaker 1: I think they could just press a button and it's done. Yeah,
- 29:40Speaker 1: you know, it wasn't though we had to get up,
- 29:43Speaker 1: go to the store find it all. Like it. You
- 29:45Speaker 1: can just do compulse it buying and you can press
- 29:48Speaker 1: a button and press a button. I got that, or
- 29:50Speaker 1: I got that, and I got that and next thing,
- 29:52Speaker 1: you know, no, you don't have that. And I think
- 29:55Speaker 1: that's a big cause of it right there, the accessibility
- 29:59Speaker 1: of everything, and it's so easy to do, and we
- 30:01Speaker 1: didn't give him a credit card to do it. That's
- 30:03Speaker 1: the problem because the parents, you guys live a better
- 30:06Speaker 1: lifestyle than how our parents did, so you're able to
- 30:10Speaker 1: give your kids. Yeah, you know, I mean you gotta
- 30:13Speaker 1: give him a debit card because that's everything set up
- 30:16Speaker 1: on that, you know what I mean. You don't want
- 30:19Speaker 1: Tom carrying the cash, so you give him a debit card.
- 30:23Speaker 1: But you've got to teach them and that's the struggle. Uh,
- 30:27Speaker 1: my boys are better at it. What Morgan is really
- 30:31Speaker 1: good with money? Put Morgan and her husband are very
- 30:34Speaker 1: very self sufficient. Carling and her husband are very self sufficient.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Brand is out, she's self efficient. My oldest son, I
- 30:41Speaker 1: don't have to concern myself with him. Lauran went and
- 30:46Speaker 1: damn well, the two that's always had it good. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: them two right there, ain't handle They ain't handled dog.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Are you still in the given situation of their lives?
- 30:57Speaker 1: Meaning if they don't have it? I am out? Yeah. Yeah.
- 31:01Speaker 1: My daughters, Yeah, I mean, you know, if they come
- 31:03Speaker 1: to me with a situation, I'm gonna help before I
- 31:09Speaker 1: have to let them have to go to some man.
- 31:11Speaker 1: You know, I'll help him before they have to go
- 31:14Speaker 1: to some man, because then I know that comes with
- 31:16Speaker 1: some stipulation. One of my daughters just text me today.
- 31:19Speaker 1: You know, they make me sick, don't the way they text?
- 31:21Speaker 1: Hey dad? You know what? But put Yeah, it's really
- 31:30Speaker 1: not a lot behind the big and that they do
- 31:33Speaker 1: because it's so short. It's not But I don't but
- 31:35Speaker 1: don't text me hey dad, question mark. I'm busy, but
- 31:39Speaker 1: they text like they talk hey dad, and then they
- 31:42Speaker 1: wait on you to go hey girl, and then they
- 31:44Speaker 1: go what you're doing? And then it took me forever
- 31:47Speaker 1: to find out what w y D was. So I said,
- 31:53Speaker 1: walking down, I love it. I love our millennials. And
- 32:00Speaker 1: then they're gonna go back and forth like that, and
- 32:01Speaker 1: I don't have that kind of time. So I ignored
- 32:03Speaker 1: the hey dad text, what do you want? You know,
- 32:07Speaker 1: because I don't have time to take back go hey you,
- 32:09Speaker 1: how you doing today? How you that w y D?
- 32:11Speaker 1: I ain't got time for that. I wish they had
- 32:14Speaker 1: what we had, just the J C. Painted cat. You
- 32:18Speaker 1: better get busy, my daughter said, what could that do
- 32:20Speaker 1: to get you? Call somebody else? All right, listen, we

- 33:14Speaker 1: leglely planning a real Fourth of July blast. Cops say
- 33:17Speaker 1: that Demetrius and Nathaniel Pitts told an uncover agent that
- 33:20Speaker 1: he was scouting locations and hopes of parking an explosive
- 33:23Speaker 1: latent vehicle that would blow up during Cleveland's downtown parade. Pitts,
- 33:27Speaker 1: who's an American citizen, now charged with attempted support of
- 33:30Speaker 1: a terrorist organization. The Feds say that Pitts initially came

- 33:37Speaker 1: join Al Qaeda. Pits faces a maximum for twenty years
- 33:40Speaker 1: in prison if he has found guilty. Looks like President

- 44:42Speaker 1: procedure only takes about two three minutes, and and we
- 44:44Speaker 1: said about every about my information, you know, when I
- 44:47Speaker 1: leave home and everything. Who is this, like I said,
- 44:49Speaker 1: my name is Greg, I'm a I'm a PSC and

- 45:11Speaker 1: prostate tomorrow. Oh hell, now, you ain't coming here and
- 45:14Speaker 1: check my prist stay. I gave my prodctate check. But
- 45:16Speaker 1: my doctor, who was you talking about? Come to check
- 45:19Speaker 1: my prist stay not at my house. Main't come and
- 45:21Speaker 1: check my And you know what, I get this all
- 45:23Speaker 1: the time. I get a lot of people that that
- 45:25Speaker 1: are in denial, a lot of men that that that
- 45:28Speaker 1: claimed that they fine. I heard my pricetate check just
- 45:32Speaker 1: at the beginning of this year. Man, you don't need
- 45:33Speaker 1: to come to my checking my PRIs state. So a
- 45:36Speaker 1: lot of people, a lot of men are in denial
- 45:38Speaker 1: saying that they got it checked and they got it.
- 45:39Speaker 1: A lot of times we find out they haven't. And
- 45:41Speaker 1: and and there has to be a reason if I
- 45:43Speaker 1: got you on my list and it's paid. Somebody has
- 45:46Speaker 1: paid a hundred and twenty five dollars for me to

- 46:05Speaker 1: I'll tell you what that rubber glove ain't gonna know

- 46:11Speaker 1: gonna be pretty, and it ain't gonna be nice with
- 46:13Speaker 1: you in your rubber glove. When I'm done with you,
- 46:18Speaker 1: don't be coming about my high time by checking my
- 46:20Speaker 1: price state. Sir, sir, do you realize that this is
- 46:22Speaker 1: the leading calls the black men? Do you realize I
- 46:26Speaker 1: understand that black men three out of five black men
- 46:32Speaker 1: and a lost every year, So you ought to be
- 46:35Speaker 1: very grateful that someone that's sending me by there to
- 46:38Speaker 1: check it and make sure you're okay. I'm grateful that
- 46:40Speaker 1: I can pay for a doctor that I go to
- 46:42Speaker 1: every every once a year. Man, you don't want have
- 46:44Speaker 1: to turn to my hot time by sticking on rubber glove.
- 46:46Speaker 1: But me, man, it's fun with you, sir. So I'm
- 46:48Speaker 1: not gonna sit here and go back and forth with you.
- 46:50Speaker 1: My job is to give you a friendly call and

- 49:41Speaker 1: there and check his price. State. You only think you
- 49:43Speaker 1: get here checked on the regular. I want to have
- 49:45Speaker 1: somebody to come check mind. Hey man, I got one
- 49:50Speaker 1: more thing to ask you, man, what else? What is
- 49:53Speaker 1: the baddest. I'm talking about the baddest radio show in
- 49:56Speaker 1: the land, Steve Harvey warning show man, Steve Harvey Morning.
- 50:01Speaker 1: So just doing my duty, that's all. Just doing my duty,
- 50:05Speaker 1: that's all. You didn't get it one day, you know,
- 50:08Speaker 1: not yet. But I'm praying for you though. That statement.
- 50:13Speaker 1: It's just eating in his mind. I don't know, no doubt. Yeah,
- 50:19Speaker 1: I know it's not. No, it's not. At least time
- 50:24Speaker 1: me at the end. Let them off the field. Oh yeah,
- 50:27Speaker 1: we just leave. You'll miss out there hanging. You don't apologize.
- 50:31Speaker 1: It's a joke of nothing. If they're in to see
- 50:36Speaker 1: these people and he's the one that's gonna see him. Yeah.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Has anyone ever said anything to you, Steve about these
- 50:51Speaker 1: looks or anything? But Jake, don't don't put the frank anything.
- 51:00Speaker 1: What if they say, but wasn't it was. I had
- 51:04Speaker 1: a couple of moments, just one million. But you know,
- 51:09Speaker 1: you know, line, I hate morning anything, Steve. I thought
- 51:13Speaker 1: we was cool, We're all cool. What changed cool? It
- 51:22Speaker 1: was too far? Uh so what do you do? Just
- 51:32Speaker 1: walk away? Yeah? See I thought we was cool? What's
- 51:39Speaker 1: going on? Plast good to see you looking good? Then
- 51:44Speaker 1: you're looking good man, how the wife, my good family,
- 51:48Speaker 1: good man man, God bless you man. My Strawberry Letter
- 51:53Speaker 1: is up next at four minutes after the hour. You're
- 51:56Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it's time
- 52:00Speaker 1: for today's Strawberry Letter. If you're in the situation and
- 52:03Speaker 1: you need some advice, all you have to do is
- 52:05Speaker 1: go to Steve Harvey f M dot com and submit
- 52:09Speaker 1: your Strawberry letter, and Steve and I might read your
- 52:12Speaker 1: letter on the air. All right, let's go, Tommy, buggle
- 52:15Speaker 1: up and hold on tight. We got it for you. Here.
- 52:17Speaker 1: It is to Strawberry letter. Alright. Subject. My husband lives
- 52:21Speaker 1: with my brother. Dear Stephen Shirley. I have been married
- 52:26Speaker 1: for five years, but my husband moved out three years
- 52:30Speaker 1: ago and moved in with my brother after he got
- 52:33Speaker 1: into a big argument with my son. My son really
- 52:37Speaker 1: didn't know my husband that well when we got married,
- 52:39Speaker 1: and he thought that my husband was using me, so
- 52:42Speaker 1: he didn't like him. My husband tried to come back
- 52:45Speaker 1: home twice, and my husband and my son disrespected him
- 52:48Speaker 1: both times, so he said he would never come back.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Despite our living situation, my husband and I still do
- 52:55Speaker 1: everything together. We make love all the time we um,
- 53:00Speaker 1: but we have to go to hotels. My husband says
- 53:02Speaker 1: that he loves me very much and I love him
- 53:04Speaker 1: as well, But years later, he still refuses to move
- 53:08Speaker 1: back in. So I moved closer to my brother's house
- 53:11Speaker 1: to make it more convenient for us to see each other.
- 53:14Speaker 1: He and my son are doing a little better now.
- 53:17Speaker 1: When they see each other, they speak and shake hands,
- 53:20Speaker 1: but that's it. One of my husband's female friends told
- 53:23Speaker 1: me that he talked about coming home soon. She knows
- 53:27Speaker 1: him very well, so I got excited, But he said
- 53:30Speaker 1: that another one of his female friends told him if
- 53:33Speaker 1: he moves back home, she will never talk to him again.
- 53:36Speaker 1: So he says, to avoid conflict, they'll just stay where
- 53:39Speaker 1: he is. I pray daily that he will change his mind.
- 53:43Speaker 1: What can I do to get my husband back home
- 53:45Speaker 1: where he belongs. Stephen Shirley, please help. You've got to
- 53:49Speaker 1: be kidding me, right, You've got to be kidding me, Tommy?
- 53:53Speaker 1: Are you are you pranking us right now? I mean,
- 53:59Speaker 1: this is your husban have been, your house, your son.
- 54:02Speaker 1: No one has any control over what's going on in
- 54:05Speaker 1: your marriage, but your son, who shouldn't even be at
- 54:08Speaker 1: your house because if he's young or old enough or
- 54:11Speaker 1: grown enough to um to disrespect your your husband and
- 54:15Speaker 1: fight him, then he should probably be on his own
- 54:19Speaker 1: and out of your house. Now your husband, on the
- 54:21Speaker 1: other hand, uh, something is going on with him and
- 54:25Speaker 1: his so called female friends because he's taking to what
- 54:29Speaker 1: they're saying and uh not listening to you, his wife.
- 54:34Speaker 1: He'll just stay where he is because one of his
- 54:36Speaker 1: female friends will never talk to him again. Okay, so
- 54:38Speaker 1: what this is really crazy? So to avoid conflict, he'll
- 54:44Speaker 1: just stay where he is. Yeah, he likes staying with
- 54:46Speaker 1: your brother because he can come and go and do
- 54:48Speaker 1: whatever he wants to do and then have you, his
- 54:51Speaker 1: wife on the side, convenient whenever he wants you. It's
- 54:55Speaker 1: a perfect situation for him. You, as his wife, needs
- 54:58Speaker 1: to um set some boundaries, some rules. You either he
- 55:02Speaker 1: either comes back or it's over. Why are you making
- 55:05Speaker 1: it so easy for him? Why are you allowing him
- 55:08Speaker 1: to do all these things? It's his son, and it's
- 55:11Speaker 1: your son, and it's him. This is your life. What
- 55:14Speaker 1: are you gonna do? You need to talk to both
- 55:16Speaker 1: of them, Steve, this is crazy. Yeah, this letter right here.
- 55:22Speaker 1: I agree with most of what you say and Shirley.
- 55:26Speaker 1: But let me say this first of all. The whole
- 55:31Speaker 1: problem in his letter, the damn boy hell he in charge?
- 55:38Speaker 1: Who stayed well when he ain't paying for nothing. Now,
- 55:44Speaker 1: unless your son is real big and your husband is little,
- 55:49Speaker 1: ain't no boy running me out no house unless I
- 55:54Speaker 1: took it as an opportunity to get out, which could
- 56:00Speaker 1: be the case. As you said, your husband moved out
- 56:03Speaker 1: three years ago, moved in with your brother. Now he
- 56:08Speaker 1: got the big argument with your son. Yeah, you know
- 56:13Speaker 1: your son didn't know your husband that way women got man.
- 56:15Speaker 1: He thought my husband was using me, so he didn't
- 56:18Speaker 1: like him. How old is this boy? That would help
- 56:21Speaker 1: if I knew that my husband tried to come back
- 56:25Speaker 1: home twice, my son disrespected him both times. See me
- 56:31Speaker 1: and this sun, we're gonna work this out, because what
- 56:35Speaker 1: you're gonna stop doing, a little boy, is the disrespected
- 56:38Speaker 1: me thing. That's what that's first thing, all right. So
- 56:45Speaker 1: he your husband said he would never ever come back.
- 56:49Speaker 1: He said he would never ever come back. So here's
- 56:55Speaker 1: here's what the deal is. Your husband says he loves
- 56:57Speaker 1: you very much and you love of him as well.
- 57:02Speaker 1: But years later he still refuses to move back in
- 57:06Speaker 1: so I moved closer to my brother's house. Oh that's
- 57:09Speaker 1: the solution. You don't move in your brother's house. You
- 57:14Speaker 1: just moved closer to his house. That's smart. That's a
- 57:20Speaker 1: marriage to make it more convenient for us to see
- 57:25Speaker 1: each other. Now here, my son, they're doing a little
- 57:28Speaker 1: bit better. When they see each other. They speak in
- 57:29Speaker 1: shake hand. Okay, that's the start. But here's the problem though.
- 57:36Speaker 1: When you do see him, you go to hotel. So
- 57:41Speaker 1: what the hell did you move closer to him for?
- 57:44Speaker 1: And y'all still going to the hotel? Why is your
- 57:49Speaker 1: son running your life? My next point of contention, your
- 57:57Speaker 1: collars shug a lot of female friends WHOA and they
- 58:04Speaker 1: got pulled too. His female friends got more poor than you,
- 58:10Speaker 1: and you the wife I have to share something with.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Your husband is a bachelor. Seriously, your husband is a
- 58:24Speaker 1: bachelor should be the title of this left. My husband
- 58:29Speaker 1: is a bachelor because he lived by his self with
- 58:35Speaker 1: your brother, who I bet you ain't married. And he
- 58:41Speaker 1: can come and go like he pleads. And he got
- 58:43Speaker 1: female friends. One of him has told him if he
- 58:48Speaker 1: she go back, if he go back to you, she
- 58:51Speaker 1: won't talk to him no more. So you know, what
- 58:52Speaker 1: he decided. Oh, she's not gonna talk to me no more.
- 58:57Speaker 1: I gotta stay in this brother's house. Now, when we
- 59:01Speaker 1: come back, I'm gonna share another fact with you that
- 59:04Speaker 1: no one has thrown out in this letter. Please, ma'am,
- 59:09Speaker 1: be sitting down. I'll be right back. We're some more
- 59:16Speaker 1: unveiling of the letter. Alright, you hurt, Steve. Well, we'll
- 59:20Speaker 1: have part two of his response coming up at twenty
- 59:23Speaker 1: three after the hour. You're listening, Steve, Come on, Steve,
- 59:29Speaker 1: let's get your response to part two of the Strawberry Letters. Marriage.
- 59:33Speaker 1: This man. This man don't get along with her son.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Her son is in charge of her life, in the
- 59:39Speaker 1: house and everything. The man leaves every time you try
- 59:43Speaker 1: to come back. Twice the board disrespect him. He leave
- 59:46Speaker 1: again because the boyd think he uses So he moves
- 59:49Speaker 1: in with your brother. You try to keep the relationship together.
- 59:53Speaker 1: You move closer to your brother. But he got female
- 59:56Speaker 1: friends telling him not to go back. He says he's
- 59:58Speaker 1: coming back, but it's been years now he still ain't back,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: and one of his girlfriend told him, if you go back,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I'll never speak to you again. So the whole down confusion.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: He said he's gonna stay away. M hm, his your
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: his female friends have more pool than his wife. The
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: new name of this letter I've re entitled it is
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: your husband. It's a bad Okay. Now here's something we
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: haven't explored in this letter. I need your undivided attention. Please,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: I need everybody to take a seat your husband. It's
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: seeing your brother. God, anybody thought of this right here?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Your husband and your brother. Could they be seeing? I
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: want him know. I don't know this, but he showed
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: like staying with your brother more than he likes staying
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: with you. Didn't we have a strawberry letter like this once.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I don't know, but I just wanted to throw that
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: out there and put that in the mix. People think
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: we make those letters up. In the words of Bill Withers,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: who is he and what is he to you? My
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: friends feel is they're appointed duty. They keep trying to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: tell me that I ought to not let you just
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: walk on me. My brother. He set me right down
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: and he talked to me, and I'm sure he meant, well, yeah,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: But when I talk was through, I said, brother, if
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you only knew, you'd wish it, you in my shoes. Oh,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: you just keep on using me until you use me
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: up now here at your brother's house, getting used up
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: for real. Something is a miss in this Latin and
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I think is your hood. Alright, See, we gotta go.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: You know that email as your Instagram. That's your thoughts
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: on this strawberry letter from today at my girl Shirley
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: switching gears. Now all right, Carlos Steve, you guys are
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: dog owners dog lovers. Yes, there's a recent outbreak on
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the dog flu. Okay, I didn't even know there was
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: such a thing. Uh. Puppies across the United States have
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: literally been getting sick as a dog. I mean literally
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: getting sick as a dog due to K nine flu. Uh.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: This this past year, more than a hundred dogs have
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: tested positive for the virus, including seventy two in California alone.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: You lick you Okay, you're buying the kids your rid.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: They don't have it t T. You're laying in the yourself.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: That's how they greed each I don't go to college,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: that with a trade school. But if you have a
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: habit of constantly licking, you'll sl How do you have
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: to stand like I got your mouth all around somebody
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: else's tail tail and you'll smell somebody Else's what you're
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: bound the kids, that's their thing. That's what animals do. Well,

- 1:26:21Speaker 1: this is dedicated to Calin. This is Pat Boltoner's love mama.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: Huh if you can hum me, you can hear me
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: about to make me crack? You can you can hear me. Oh,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: this is what mama was a heavy, little heavy, heavy
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: on the stock aside. So this is her pattern. Don't
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: make me run after you, and she couldn't run anyway,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: but don't make me run after you. You know you
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: didn't want that. Let me gonna walk back and take
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: this because it ain't gonna be nice. This one is
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: dedicated to Shirley's mama, Miss Helen, sit down. Everyone has
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: seen you do too. You did everybody a little show
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: that you get out of this room looking in my
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: mouth when I talk, because it ain't nobody talking to you.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: This is this is ground folk talking up. Yes, yes,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: we are becoming looking down my throat while talking. What
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: you got, Steve, keep on keep on acting cute. See
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: how cute your daddy? Thank you is what you get
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: from work. Whoa slick, get in here, we slick, don't
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: cut out? All is cute? Okay, your mama said, and
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: your daddy hit home? All right? Coming up Steve's closing
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: remarks at fort nine after the hour. You're listening to
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show. Give your closing remarks, are back what
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: you got for us today? You know what, I just
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: want to remind people because it's it's a tough thing
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: to cut people out your life. It's a tough decision
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: for people to make because the average person, uh you know,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: that's a positive nature. They like positive things around them,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: positive energy, and it's difficult. We you as a positive
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: or decent or caring person, has to be faced with
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: the decision to cut somebody out your life. And I've
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: had to do it many times, and I'm faced with
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: the decision again even this stage of my life. That
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: are people who I really should not have around me now.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: Because I have a sense of guilt, I continue to
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: keep them. You know, I come up with excuses for them.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: You know what they're gonna do. You know, if they're
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: not here, what would they do if if if I
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: remove them, what happens to them? Well, I mean that's
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: because you're caring person. But can I tell you how
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: much that ain't your business. M It's really really not.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: It's not your business, nor should you make it yours,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: because what will happen is if you guilt yourself into
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: holding on to this person, you will continue to possess
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: that nagging, gnawing feeling that you have every time you
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: around them because they actually bring no real value to you.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Oh they bring you a lot of promises. Oh, they
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: bring you a lot of Oh man, this is man,
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: I got something big I'm working on. Oh you hear
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: that all the time? Or I should appreciate you. Lord,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: I don't know where I be without you. You've been.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: You've been such a blessing to me. You know you're
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: gonna get it all kinds of ways, and that makes
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: you feel even worse about the inevitable decision that you
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: know you have to make. But let me help y'all
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: understand something right here. People can be manipulative. People can
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: be very very manipulative. And when a person know they're
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: getting over on you, they say the things because they
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: know you're a decent person, So they say that things
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: to you to keep in the forefront of your mind,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: and how decent you are. God bless you. You've been
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: a blessing to me. Lord, I don't know what I
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: do without you. I thank God for people like you. Well,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: when do I get to thank God for you? When
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: do you become such a blessing to me? When at
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: the point in this relationship where every relationship should be
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: give and take, When do I get to take something out?
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: Because right now all I'm doing is given. I'm telling you, y'all,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: I know how you're feeling about cutting these people out
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: your life, but you have got to because if that
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: as a person in your life, that's just on the
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: receiving end of your friendship and give you nothing in return.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: They are on the receiving end of your paycheck and
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: give you nothing in the return. They are receiving end
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: of all your goodness and favors and give you no
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: goodness and favors. You no longer have an obligation to
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: that person. You really don't. And I remind you of
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: something that Bishop Jake said, Sometimes you have to let
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: people go so they can be freed up to their
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: own destiny, see, because they keep tying their destiny to yours.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: But see God didn't give them your destiny. They got
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: their own destiny. You know, unless you're with your wife
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: and your children, their destinies ain't tied to yours. And
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: once your children get a certain age, your destiny don't
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: belong to them no more. They have to they, as
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Marjorie says, their wings work. You gotta let them get
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: out there and get the flapping so they can fly.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: So as you make your list of people who bring
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: you nothing but bad news, they have to go. When
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: you make your list of people who every time they
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: call you they just won't something, they have to go.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: They have to go because they're slowing you down. They
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: dead wait, they're sitting on the wagon and they ain't pushing.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: They ain't getting out the wig wagon to remove no
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: rocks and to brie out the way. They ain't trying
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: to fill a pothole for you. They don't even repair
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: wagon wheels. They just own your wagon, sitting there, legs
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: up and just chilling you out on a rope, just pulling. You.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: Got to get rid of them people. The other people
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: you have to get rid of is sometimey people. Because
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: you know what's so hard about sometimeing people, Because you
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: don't never know when their time gonna be because they sometimey.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: So sometimes they're cool and sometimes they ain't. And on
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: the days when you need them be cool, that's what
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: that's one of them, some days where they are. So
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: now you got on these sometimey people in your life
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: and you've been going, well, they're cool over here, but
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: they ain't cool over there. If the people in your
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: life ain't cool everywhere you take them and every time
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: you talk to them, you got to get rid of
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: them too. I'm sorry. Now that's gonna shorten your list,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: But what good is to listen if it ain't a
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: good list? Stop just trying to have a list. It's
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: like people in a bad relationship. So you're gonna stay
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: in the bad relationship just so you can say you're
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: in a relationship, or will you free yourself so that
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: you can be freed up to your destiny to possibly
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: be in a good relationship. But you're never getting a
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: good relationship if you're gonna stay and sit in the
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: bad relationship. What you has proven year after year after
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: year to be of no substance and no just no
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: goodness for you. It just does nothing for you. But
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: you're gonna stay in it just so you can say
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: you in a relationship. That's crazy, man, that's crazy. So
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: y'all think about it. Those people that you gotta cut loose,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: You got a tough decision, but you have to do it.
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: God to bless you for it too. And guess what,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: you have more, more free time, you have more money
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: and everything when you let them go and you don't
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: even have to deal with the aggravation to them anymore.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: That's an amazing thing. So it's my closing remarks. Just
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: want to remind you all that have a great weekend.
