- 1:46Speaker 2: a w the monica.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on you think that?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 4: You'all listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 4: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 4: I do. Took me when I said, but I do,
- 2:16Speaker 4: like I say always. It just is a constant reminder
- 2:20Speaker 4: of how good God has been. So my question to
- 2:23Speaker 4: you is what's stopping you from having the life that
- 2:27Speaker 4: you want? What's stopping you from having the life that
- 2:31Speaker 4: you want? I know a lot of people who have
- 2:36Speaker 4: given up on achieving the life of their dreams. But
- 2:41Speaker 4: I know they'd still want them if they could get
- 2:44Speaker 4: to them. But they just allowed to settle for so
- 2:47Speaker 4: many reasons. So who I'm talking to is you today?
- 2:52Speaker 4: What's really at the core of stopping you?
- 2:56Speaker 2: What is that?
- 2:57Speaker 4: Is it your friends or your associate, is it the
- 3:01Speaker 4: fear of what you think somebody else will think of
- 3:04Speaker 4: you if you decide to change.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Is it what I used to call the call of
- 3:08Speaker 1: the while?
- 3:09Speaker 4: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the
- 3:13Speaker 4: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments
- 3:17Speaker 4: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy.
- 3:20Speaker 2: For you, you.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Don't want to stop doing that because you've got just
- 3:24Speaker 4: a little bit more something else you want to do.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I call that the call of the while. You know
- 3:28Speaker 4: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them
- 3:31Speaker 4: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.
- 3:37Speaker 4: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.
- 3:40Speaker 4: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What
- 3:43Speaker 4: is it that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:46Speaker 4: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,
- 3:50Speaker 4: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
- 3:54Speaker 4: that you want to have. It's no good because at
- 3:57Speaker 4: the end of the day, here's the real deal. See,
- 4:00Speaker 4: God is available, and God is available for all of us,
- 4:05Speaker 4: and God has a plan for all of us, and
- 4:07Speaker 4: God wants the very best for all of us. That's
- 4:10Speaker 4: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna
- 4:13Speaker 4: do to get started having that life? First of all,
- 4:17Speaker 4: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends
- 4:23Speaker 4: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends
- 4:26Speaker 4: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a
- 4:30Speaker 4: wide range of reasons and misery love company. So usually
- 4:34Speaker 4: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind
- 4:37Speaker 4: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
- 4:40Speaker 4: going to church. You're going to be their friend. They
- 4:43Speaker 4: don't really want you to go to church. You know,
- 4:46Speaker 4: your friends don't pray, so why would they offer up
- 4:49Speaker 4: prayer as a solution to you. You know, your friends
- 4:53Speaker 4: don't really really get the fact that if you treat
- 4:58Speaker 4: people better, people would treat you better.
- 5:00Speaker 1: So what's that?
- 5:01Speaker 4: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,
- 5:05Speaker 4: you know, to peer pressure of what and then the
- 5:08Speaker 4: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once
- 5:10Speaker 4: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,
- 5:18Speaker 4: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you
- 5:22Speaker 4: from having the best life you wanted to have. If
- 5:25Speaker 4: I went by that theory right there, wouldn't I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 4: even be on this mic this morning. I would have
- 5:30Speaker 4: never become a stand up I would had I listened
- 5:33Speaker 4: to the people around me who clearly told me when
- 5:37Speaker 4: I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't you
- 5:40Speaker 4: quit your job? You got a family, Boy, don't you
- 5:42Speaker 4: do this. You ain't got no bit that, ain't no
- 5:45Speaker 4: security in that. Get yourself a job. Go down here,
- 5:48Speaker 4: and what's your brothers? Go to work over here? Go
- 5:51Speaker 4: to I heard all of that. I didn't let that
- 5:54Speaker 4: stop me from pursuing this. Why would you allow that
- 5:57Speaker 4: to stop you from pursuing your relationship ship with God
- 6:00Speaker 4: so you can have the best life you could possibly have.
- 6:03Speaker 2: You gang bang.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Because they've convinced you that this is the family situation
- 6:09Speaker 4: and love that you don't have, and they've convinced you
- 6:11Speaker 4: that this is your only way, your only source of
- 6:15Speaker 4: getting over, And then you drum up these ignorant reasons
- 6:20Speaker 4: man for staying with it. But they sound so good
- 6:24Speaker 4: when you listening to everybody else you surrounded by telling
- 6:27Speaker 4: you why we gang banging? Why we holding this block down?
- 6:31Speaker 4: Why we slanging this thing here right here? Why we
- 6:34Speaker 4: letting it go like this here, You keep listening to
- 6:37Speaker 4: them when all in your heart of hearts, you know
- 6:40Speaker 4: that's ain't right. You already know, but you allow that
- 6:45Speaker 4: form of the call of the wile, that wanting to
- 6:48Speaker 4: be accepted by a group of people who trying to
- 6:51Speaker 4: get you to accept the way so you can further
- 6:53Speaker 4: they progress. To even prove that you're worthy to be
- 6:57Speaker 4: around them, you got to commit some type of crime
- 7:00Speaker 4: to even prove that you're worthy to be around them.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Then when you get busted on the crime, what happens
- 7:06Speaker 4: to that where your family are Now they don't come
- 7:09Speaker 4: down there to see you because guess what, they can't
- 7:11Speaker 4: turn in They idea to desk at a law enforcement center,
- 7:15Speaker 4: So now your homies can't come visit you. And then
- 7:17Speaker 4: you know your family back out here, they ain't taking
- 7:20Speaker 4: care of your family because it's all about them. Then
- 7:23Speaker 4: you learn that what is it that's stopping you from
- 7:25Speaker 4: having the life that you always wanted to have?
- 7:29Speaker 2: What is it?
- 7:30Speaker 4: Why are you a repeat offender? Why do you keep
- 7:34Speaker 4: checking yourself back into that institution?
- 7:37Speaker 5: Why?
- 7:38Speaker 4: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you
- 7:41Speaker 4: give God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself. Why
- 7:45Speaker 4: would you continue to be a part of a revolving
- 7:48Speaker 4: door system and becoming a farm system for these institutions
- 7:52Speaker 4: that ain't got nothing for you?
- 7:54Speaker 1: But you keep going back in there.
- 7:56Speaker 4: And then every time you go in there, and now
- 7:57Speaker 4: your little homies or your gang banging live, little silly
- 8:00Speaker 4: little friends try to make you think that's a badge
- 8:03Speaker 4: of honor. There ain't no badge of honor. Man, that's
- 8:05Speaker 4: one mold. What's one more scratch on that record, That's
- 8:09Speaker 4: one mode, that's one more nail in that coffin. That's
- 8:12Speaker 4: one step closer to that third strike where you ain't
- 8:15Speaker 4: gonna ever get out. It's one step closer to that graveyard.
- 8:19Speaker 1: You keep on.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Why would you not give God a try? Why would
- 8:23Speaker 4: you not go and see what your life could really be?
- 8:26Speaker 4: What is it that's stopping you? Because see, I got
- 8:29Speaker 4: news for you. There's nothing like waking up free. I
- 8:33Speaker 4: don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking up
- 8:38Speaker 4: with the joy in your heart. Now, if you ain't
- 8:40Speaker 4: gonna be free, get the joy in your heart, the
- 8:43Speaker 4: satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something with your life.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Help somebody behind them balls, get in the program, show
- 8:50Speaker 4: these young cats when they come in a better way.
- 8:52Speaker 4: But don't you dash sit theren man and just ride
- 8:56Speaker 4: it out, and man, just go and get the fullest
- 8:59Speaker 4: life that you can have. What you know what it
- 9:02Speaker 4: feels like to wake up and be on your way somewhere,
- 9:06Speaker 4: knowing that you have something to accomplish, that you can
- 9:09Speaker 4: change somebody, that you can stop somebody from going down
- 9:11Speaker 4: the roads you went down. It's a whole lot of
- 9:13Speaker 4: ways to make your life better. But why would you
- 9:16Speaker 4: not go and have the best life you can have?
- 9:18Speaker 4: What is that's stopping you?
- 9:20Speaker 2: Really? Really?
- 9:23Speaker 4: So you think that Satan really has your best interest
- 9:26Speaker 4: at heart, That the little thing your mama kept telling
- 9:29Speaker 4: you about praying you wasn't listening, was you. But you know,
- 9:32Speaker 4: it ain't ever too late to get back to that.
- 9:34Speaker 4: It ain't ever too late to turn around, It ain't
- 9:37Speaker 4: ever too late to get your life together, it ain't
- 9:40Speaker 4: ever too late to seek God, and it ain't ever.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Too late to pray.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and
- 9:48Speaker 4: don't be too proud to pray, because prayer changes things.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Prayer change people too I'm a witness to that.
- 9:56Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, and letting me have your attention. Please.
- 10:06Speaker 4: This show right here is designed to do several things.
- 10:10Speaker 4: One of them is to remind you of your relationship
- 10:14Speaker 4: with God. It is premium and is paramount. It is
- 10:20Speaker 4: the number one decision you can make with your life
- 10:24Speaker 4: to have a relationship with your creator. I can tell
- 10:29Speaker 4: you flat out right now, if I did not have that,
- 10:32Speaker 4: I'd have no idea where I would be.
- 10:35Speaker 1: But I can promise you it is. I wouldn't be here.
- 10:37Speaker 1: That's for show.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Secondly, we like to motivate you, you know, inspire you, give
- 10:44Speaker 4: you hope and aspiration. Thirdly, we'll give you a little
- 10:47Speaker 4: bit of information from time to time. But our main
- 10:50Speaker 4: thing up in the Hill entertainment. Baby, cut this show on.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Put a smile on your face. Yeah, that's what it is,
- 10:57Speaker 4: and that's what we do all the time. It's Steve,
- 11:00Speaker 4: I'm on the show man. Ain't nothing like it. Charlotte
- 11:02Speaker 4: Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica Junior to come back,
- 11:05Speaker 4: kid and the Legend of Nephew Tommy Junior.
- 11:09Speaker 1: What is it now, what.
- 11:11Speaker 7: Do you enjoy most about being a father's It's to
- 11:13Speaker 7: be a few days out for Father's Day.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Well, see, this would be a great opportunity for Monica
- 11:17Speaker 4: to get some social media content, and they avoid me
- 11:21Speaker 4: from having to do this video on the zoom.
- 11:23Speaker 2: So I asked me the question.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Again, what do you enjoy about?
- 11:30Speaker 2: Excuse me?
- 11:31Speaker 4: Sure, be quiet, I'm not gonna ask you that no
- 11:36Speaker 4: more today.
- 11:37Speaker 7: Go ahead, man, What do you enjoy now, uncle about
- 11:41Speaker 7: being a father?
- 11:42Speaker 4: What you enjoyed most about being I can tell you
- 11:44Speaker 4: man on the rail. Yeah, the other day I was
- 11:47Speaker 4: with two of my sons. I'm always with two of them.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I was with Jason last week and Winton. No, man,
- 11:56Speaker 4: I was with all three of them last week and
- 11:59Speaker 4: it was a great thing. And I was with two
- 12:00Speaker 4: of them yesterday. One of the great joys of fatherhood
- 12:04Speaker 4: for me now is watching how they turned out as
- 12:09Speaker 4: young men. Now Jason is a full grown man, Jason
- 12:13Speaker 4: all the way. He and Jason got a family, He
- 12:15Speaker 4: got kids, and he is by far, hands down the
- 12:20Speaker 4: best dad I've ever seen. I've never seen a father
- 12:23Speaker 4: better at it than him. He's better at fatherhood than
- 12:26Speaker 4: I was at that age. It's better at fatherhood than
- 12:29Speaker 4: I am. Now, I'll really tell you the truth, Winton.
- 12:33Speaker 4: I love the way he's found his path in life.
- 12:37Speaker 4: He's over there doing his thing. I love my oldest son,
- 12:40Speaker 4: how he stands by me through everything. He's my chief
- 12:45Speaker 4: of staff. He's with me all the time, scheduling everything.
- 12:49Speaker 4: I'm just so proud of the way they turned out.
- 12:51Speaker 2: You know.
- 12:51Speaker 4: It ain't got nothing to do with money, because none
- 12:54Speaker 4: of them making a lot of money right now. Well
- 12:56Speaker 4: they're making good, but they're not making a lot, right
- 12:59Speaker 4: and that's really cool. But what they are their quality people.
- 13:03Speaker 4: They don't mistreat women, abuse them. They didn't get some
- 13:07Speaker 4: young girl pregnanty and walk off leaving her hold in
- 13:10Speaker 4: the bag.
- 13:10Speaker 1: They ain't been to jail, you.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Know, none of that.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Man, That's just such a great thing.
- 13:15Speaker 4: And the relationship we have now we sit around, we laugh,
- 13:17Speaker 4: we have fun, we be talking, we be joking. I'm
- 13:20Speaker 4: still they daddy, now, still they daddy. But that's been
- 13:23Speaker 4: a great thing. And then my daughters have turned out
- 13:26Speaker 4: to be such great women. Man, very very proud of them.
- 13:31Speaker 4: And they love they daddy.
- 13:34Speaker 5: All right, Happy father's dad, all right?
- 13:38Speaker 6: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:40Speaker 6: hear from the nephew another father as he runs that
- 13:43Speaker 6: prank back. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Everybody's your favorite place. Cousin Jr. We need to talk.
- 13:55Speaker 7: You're playing on getting gas at the same station again.
- 13:58Speaker 7: But there's a lower price around the corner gas. But

- 14:21Speaker 5: It is time now to run that prank back with
- 14:24Speaker 5: the nephew.
- 14:25Speaker 2: What you got for is, nep I have a refrigerator, Charlie,
- 14:30Speaker 2: my refrigerator, all right, my frigid dad, My grandmama used
- 14:36Speaker 2: to call it the ice box. Yeah, height box. You
- 14:38Speaker 2: can't be standing up in there holding that dough o
- 14:42Speaker 2: setting that out that fridgid dawn. You can't do that.
- 14:45Speaker 2: You'll get you You get your butt wep behind that.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Don't drink that water, that water right there at your
- 14:50Speaker 2: granddad water. You don't drink that water, all right, fridgid Dad,
- 14:54Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I just got just it was a.
- 14:56Speaker 8: Good memory though, and it was water from the fossett
- 14:59Speaker 8: in the ferd.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Did you ever used to take a cup and scrape
- 15:03Speaker 2: that ice out of that freezing point?
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:08Speaker 2: That ice? All right? Here we go, refrigerator delivery, got dog. Hello, Hello,
- 15:14Speaker 2: I'm trying to reach out, mister please, miss missus Jackson.
- 15:17Speaker 2: I'm the driver, man, I'm actually the delivery guy that's
- 15:20Speaker 2: bringing you refrigerator over the day.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Okay, what's going on?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Okay, listen, I know we had a window that was
- 15:25Speaker 2: from eight to twelve this morning's see, it's eleven thirty now,
- 15:30Speaker 2: so we're running a little bit behind schedule. Man. We
- 15:33Speaker 2: have some problems at the yard getting everything loaded up.
- 15:36Speaker 9: Man, come on, man, you killing me. I can't.
- 15:39Speaker 10: Y'all y'all running behind, well, a little bit behind schedule.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Man. We're gonna have will be there somewhere between twelve
- 15:44Speaker 2: and four.
- 15:44Speaker 9: Oh, come on, man, y'all got to do better than that.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Now, man, man, job, I understand sir, I understand that.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Actually it's actually I.
- 15:53Speaker 9: Got man, I got all my food in here and
- 15:56Speaker 9: coolers and stuff. Man, I got ice eate everywhere. Man,
- 16:00Speaker 9: So I mean, what's what What's what's going on? Is
- 16:03Speaker 9: y'all ain't got refrigerator. I'm trying to figure out.
- 16:05Speaker 2: No. No, we loaded up, you know, we just have
- 16:07Speaker 2: some problems. I think one of the forklifts went out,
- 16:09Speaker 2: and you know, it kind of pushed us back. So
- 16:11Speaker 2: that four hour win that we had from eight to twelve, man,
- 16:14Speaker 2: just got ruined. And now we're pushing things from our
- 16:16Speaker 2: twelve to four. So between twelve and four, man, we
- 16:18Speaker 2: would definitely be there.
- 16:20Speaker 9: Y'all have to be better than that. Of course, I
- 16:23Speaker 9: supposed to yesterday.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Actually, the warehouse supervisor he's actually out today.
- 16:28Speaker 9: He's not here, so he's not in So yeah, man, Yeah,
- 16:33Speaker 9: I was supposed to be working with one car. You said,
- 16:35Speaker 9: y'all gonna be until in between twelve and four. I'm
- 16:37Speaker 9: supposed to be at work in one o'clock.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I understand it, man, I greatly apologize. Man, this rarely happens,
- 16:43Speaker 2: and it just so happened. This morning. The forklift was
- 16:46Speaker 2: down and we had a lot of stuff to load up.
- 16:47Speaker 2: You know, we got I got ten refrigerators on this truck, man,
- 16:50Speaker 2: and one of them is definitely yours, sir. So I'm
- 16:52Speaker 2: definitely gonna be getting to you as soon as I can.
- 16:54Speaker 9: Yeah, So so many pushing it because I'm supposed to
- 16:57Speaker 9: be at work, and then I scheduled everything a guess
- 17:00Speaker 9: around this because I'm supposed to know, I gotta have
- 17:02Speaker 9: a refrigerator. I got on my food and stuff sit
- 17:04Speaker 9: in here in the in the kitchen.
- 17:05Speaker 2: And what you refrigerator went out? Did it? You refrigerator
- 17:10Speaker 2: went out? Is that what happened?
- 17:11Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 17:11Speaker 9: So did? I mean? I had it for quite some times,
- 17:14Speaker 9: you know. So it's just amount of time for or
- 17:16Speaker 9: go out. So I try to go ahead and get
- 17:18Speaker 9: a new one, you know, right.
- 17:19Speaker 2: So that's why, well schedule I can schedule you next
- 17:22Speaker 2: week sometime if you want me to.
- 17:25Speaker 9: I mean I can't. I can't afford it. We're gonna
- 17:27Speaker 9: pay this food if I got in here all over
- 17:29Speaker 9: the flow.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Let me let me get the hustling man. See if
- 17:31Speaker 2: I can move as quick as I can. But twelve
- 17:32Speaker 2: or four is the window. Man, Like I said, I apologize, miss,
- 17:35Speaker 2: We'll be that man. We're gonna we're gonna we're gonna
- 17:37Speaker 2: beat that with your refrigerated day.
- 17:38Speaker 9: Okay, okay, So so when you when you on your way,
- 17:42Speaker 9: how about I want you to call me and let
- 17:43Speaker 9: me know that you're on your ways so I know
- 17:45Speaker 9: what's going on.
- 17:45Speaker 2: We don't normally, we don't normally call when we're on

- 38:52Speaker 8: turned around, my dad was there.
- 38:55Speaker 6: That is wonderful. So how important is it for you
- 38:58Speaker 6: to have your father just be there and believe in
- 39:01Speaker 6: you and all of that.
- 39:02Speaker 2: That's beautiful thing.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, Steve.
- 39:09Speaker 1: I mean without him, how how I know?
- 39:12Speaker 2: For me?
- 39:14Speaker 4: All of us? Man, it's just how without him? How
- 39:17Speaker 4: how would I figured manhood out? Without him? I don't
- 39:20Speaker 4: know how. He gave me everything I needed about manhood. Everything.
- 39:28Speaker 1: He didn't leave out nothing, not one piece of it.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Ain't like I went, Oh, man, I wish i'd knew
- 39:34Speaker 4: that my father he didn't tell me that, man, Please,
- 39:38Speaker 4: My dad taught me everything though, every single thing. So
- 39:42Speaker 4: I my mama taught me face, but my father. This
- 39:46Speaker 4: dude right here, let me tell you some greatest dude
- 39:49Speaker 4: I ever knew. So it's crazy and that's why the
- 39:54Speaker 4: Boys Week and it's so important because we got to
- 39:57Speaker 4: get some male role models in front of these young boys, because,
- 40:00Speaker 4: like I said, a thousand times, a boy without a
- 40:03Speaker 4: father is like a it's like a boy without a
- 40:07Speaker 4: role model.
- 40:08Speaker 2: It's like an explorer without a map. Where you going.
- 40:13Speaker 5: That's deep, but okay, I get it. Yeah, chern your
- 40:17Speaker 5: what about mister?
- 40:18Speaker 7: My father is awesome? Man, My father is really awesome.
- 40:23Speaker 7: And I'm not saying because it's just my dad. It's
- 40:24Speaker 7: just the things I went to him for and he
- 40:27Speaker 7: actually helped me with it, Like he sat down, took
- 40:31Speaker 7: time off his job, came to god me and sat.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Down and said, this is what you gotta do something.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I remember that day.
- 40:37Speaker 7: He was upset with himself because he saw what he
- 40:40Speaker 7: had given me and he cried in the school and
- 40:43Speaker 7: I remember I said, it's okay, Dad, I'm strong enough
- 40:45Speaker 7: to handle it. He was like, son, I didn't want
- 40:47Speaker 7: to do this to you, but I loved your faith
- 40:49Speaker 7: in it and how I had to just overcome and
- 40:52Speaker 7: watch my father break down because the thing he wanted,
- 40:55Speaker 7: a healthy somebody gave you.
- 40:56Speaker 1: He loved me anyway.
- 40:57Speaker 8: So yeah, wow, really great, Thank you guys. Happy Fathers Day.
- 41:03Speaker 13: Me.
- 41:04Speaker 5: I know times than you for less.
- 41:07Speaker 2: I know, I know ye I can't do it today.
- 41:12Speaker 6: Man, coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 41:15Speaker 6: we will talk about the Harvey Foundation Mentoring Camp weekend.
- 41:18Speaker 6: Right after this you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Steve,
- 41:27Speaker 6: we've been talking about it. It's the Harvey Foundation Mentoring Weekend.
- 41:32Speaker 6: Your foundation aims, of course, to break the misguided traits
- 41:35Speaker 6: of manhood and and introduce role models who provide positive
- 41:39Speaker 6: examples of manhood to young men from fatherless homes. However,
- 41:44Speaker 6: you recently said mentoring young men and young men in
- 41:47Speaker 6: this generation is different. You said that, how so I
- 41:50Speaker 6: wanted to ask.
- 41:51Speaker 4: You know, we've been doing it for seventeen years, so
- 41:55Speaker 4: I've noticed gradually the change. I'll give you an example.
- 42:02Speaker 4: I used to love going out there with them boys
- 42:05Speaker 4: and playing night basketball. I didn't play, I watched, and
- 42:09Speaker 4: these guys had skills many had. They had point guards,
- 42:13Speaker 4: they had plays that they would run with each other.
- 42:16Speaker 14: Man.
- 42:16Speaker 4: The dudes were going to paint, dishing it all, just
- 42:20Speaker 4: catch that handles and everything. Now when I go out there,
- 42:24Speaker 4: it's just a disaster. Everybody think they steph Curry everybody.
- 42:31Speaker 4: I mean, you look at the NBA Finals. They asking
- 42:34Speaker 4: the seven foot five dude to make the three pointer.
- 42:39Speaker 1: And then he missing, and how that work out?
- 42:41Speaker 4: You know, Now these kids, they all think they steph
- 42:45Speaker 4: carry all of them. So it's just just so, even
- 42:48Speaker 4: the bad. The way they play basketball is different. But
- 42:51Speaker 4: the character of these young men, and the and the
- 42:55Speaker 4: and the and the and the the ability to perform outdoors,
- 43:00Speaker 4: it's it's scary. It is scary how man outside calisthenics,
- 43:15Speaker 4: stuff like that. Stuff they used to come natural to
- 43:17Speaker 4: us as outside. But now man, no, no, man, no,
- 43:23Speaker 4: no no no.
- 43:24Speaker 2: No no, it's different.
- 43:26Speaker 4: The way they handle conflict resolution, you know, because we
- 43:30Speaker 4: because my job, I'm into life saving business. Right when
- 43:34Speaker 4: you hit these kids discuss conflict resolution, I can't. I
- 43:39Speaker 4: can't count the times. Yeah, well if you hit me
- 43:43Speaker 4: when I come back, I'm gonna bring my stick.
- 43:46Speaker 2: I ain't.
- 43:47Speaker 1: They ain't talking about a stick.
- 43:52Speaker 4: They talking about a gun, you know, man, Like you
- 43:57Speaker 4: know they get they hang out with friends and when
- 43:59Speaker 4: they need money, they hit a lick, they rob somebody.
- 44:02Speaker 4: I'm going I'm just listening. So now I'm trying to
- 44:05Speaker 4: unwrap that. Now, man, real, man, handle they busy. You
- 44:08Speaker 4: don't let nobody punk you. Harvey no disrespect. I'll shoot
- 44:13Speaker 4: you before I let you disrespect me. But do you
- 44:16Speaker 4: know how dumb, that is, do you know? But I'm
- 44:20Speaker 4: listening to this and the number of young boys that
- 44:23Speaker 4: feel that way, Man's it's alarming. So we have to
- 44:28Speaker 4: hurry up get rid of the We have to immediately.
- 44:33Speaker 4: One of our big things is conflict resolution. What do
- 44:37Speaker 4: you do if this happens? And we do scenarios, we're
- 44:39Speaker 4: boys come up and act our scenes and stuff to
- 44:43Speaker 4: try to get these young men to understand that there's
- 44:45Speaker 4: another way of thinking that you can walk away. Man,
- 44:48Speaker 4: walking away has to be an option. They're a problem
- 44:52Speaker 4: if you have a good lot of these boys.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Man.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Yeah, mister, I carry a gun to school because my
- 44:57Speaker 4: school violent.
- 44:59Speaker 2: I'll mean just listening. Simple, But young man.
- 45:03Speaker 4: If you have the gun, it now becomes an option
- 45:08Speaker 4: for your conflict resolution.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:12Speaker 4: But pose they shooting and I ain't got no gun, bru.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Do you know your chances of winning a gun fight?
- 45:24Speaker 4: But do you know your chances of winning a gunfight?
- 45:27Speaker 4: I don't know what the percentages are. I'm thinking fifty
- 45:30Speaker 4: to fifty. So today you have a fifty to fifty
- 45:33Speaker 4: chance of living.
- 45:34Speaker 1: What all.
- 45:36Speaker 4: You can say? Hey, man, my bad, I'm sorry to
- 45:39Speaker 4: me step on your ad once. Man, my bad. Listen
- 45:43Speaker 4: to me. I apologize, man, no disrespect, get some words
- 45:48Speaker 4: out your mouth, and then walk away and live to
- 45:52Speaker 4: see another day.
- 45:54Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, And.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Then talk to young man away from the group.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 46:01Speaker 4: And then I can't talk to you for a minute.
- 46:03Speaker 4: I will make sure me and you straight. We gotta
- 46:05Speaker 4: teach that.
- 46:06Speaker 6: Okay, all right, Harvey Foundation Mentoring weekend is upon us.
- 46:11Speaker 5: Thank you Steve for that.
- 46:13Speaker 6: Coming up next, we got the nephew and today's prank
- 46:16Speaker 6: phone call. Right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 46:20Speaker 6: Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 46:28Speaker 6: right about four minutes after it is my strawberry letter
- 46:31Speaker 6: for today, and the subject is there's no emotion in
- 46:36Speaker 6: his motion. We'll talk about it and just a few

- 46:42Speaker 5: But right now it is the nephew. You hear him
- 46:45Speaker 5: humming prank phone call.

- 54:21Speaker 6: my mama. Does she do that to you? He ain't
- 54:23Speaker 6: my daddy.
- 54:23Speaker 5: Does she do that?
- 54:25Speaker 2: You don't do that. But she showed, wasn't here Mother's Day.
- 54:27Speaker 2: She showed left and went out the country and hung
- 54:30Speaker 2: out with her girlfriend. So yeah, I'm going to Detroit now.
- 54:34Speaker 8: But would you be upset and disappointed if Jackie didn't
- 54:37Speaker 8: get you a gift?
- 54:39Speaker 2: Listen, y'all, I've been man. I just tell y'all. We
- 54:41Speaker 2: just me and jack been May twenty five years. I
- 54:43Speaker 2: don't care what Jackie do. I don't care. I don't care.
- 54:48Speaker 2: This is how you get you twenty five. This is
- 54:49Speaker 2: how you make it.
- 54:50Speaker 7: This is how you make it not caring, well.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Just not letting yourself bother you. This was whatever, It's whatever?
- 55:00Speaker 1: What Steve?

- 55:12Speaker 1: And now we gotta go to commercial?
- 55:14Speaker 8: Brick said Toppy was right.

- 56:45Speaker 2: Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:47Speaker 6: Thank you, nephew. Subject. There's no emotion in his motions.
- 56:52Speaker 6: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm forty seven and my husband is
- 56:56Speaker 6: forty nine years old. We have twin daughters that are
- 56:59Speaker 6: seniors in home High school next year, and then we'll
- 57:02Speaker 6: be empty nesters. Our daughters are professional dancers, and one
- 57:06Speaker 6: will be moving to New York to do ballet and
- 57:08Speaker 6: the other one will be on tour with a pop star.
- 57:11Speaker 6: My daughter's lives are way more interesting than mine, and
- 57:14Speaker 6: I wish I could go away with them. And the
- 57:17Speaker 6: last year, all of the pisas has seeped out of
- 57:21Speaker 6: my marriage, and my husband comes home from work and
- 57:24Speaker 6: barely speaks some days. I've talked to him about depression
- 57:27Speaker 6: and he says nothing's wrong with him. I asked him
- 57:31Speaker 6: if we're having financial problems, and that's not it because
- 57:34Speaker 6: I did a little research for myself. I asked him
- 57:37Speaker 6: about our summer travel plans to New York so our
- 57:40Speaker 6: daughters can visit, and he says he may not be
- 57:42Speaker 6: able to go. But that's not what has me worried
- 57:45Speaker 6: the most. It's how cold he treats me while we're
- 57:49Speaker 6: being intimate. He doesn't put any emotion in his motions
- 57:53Speaker 6: like he used to. It's like wham bam, thank you ma'am,
- 57:56Speaker 6: and he falls asleep. He doesn't kiss me, and he
- 57:59Speaker 6: stopped me doing the pregame activities that he used to love.
- 58:03Speaker 6: The last time we had sex was twenty two days ago,
- 58:06Speaker 6: and he told me to hurry up and finish because
- 58:09Speaker 6: he'd had a long day.
- 58:10Speaker 5: When I work from home.
- 58:11Speaker 6: Two days a week, he used to come home during
- 58:14Speaker 6: the day and tight me up, but he stopped doing that.
- 58:17Speaker 6: How can a man go from passionate kisses and love
- 58:20Speaker 6: making to a few quickies here and there after twenty
- 58:23Speaker 6: two years of being together, he has changed and I
- 58:26Speaker 6: can't even imagine him cheating on me.
- 58:30Speaker 5: I don't want to be a nagger, but.
- 58:32Speaker 6: Is it cool to ask him if he's sing another
- 58:34Speaker 6: woman as his wife? You've got to know that you
- 58:38Speaker 6: can ask your husband anything, even if he's sing another woman.
- 58:42Speaker 2: I mean.
- 58:42Speaker 6: The problem with that is are you going to be
- 58:45Speaker 6: ready for his answer? If it's yet or whatever it is.
- 58:48Speaker 6: It could be the truth, it could be a lie,
- 58:50Speaker 6: it could be nothing at all. He may not answer
- 58:53Speaker 6: you at all. You say that, you know he hardly
- 58:55Speaker 6: speaks to you. Sometimes his response could be with anger,
- 58:59Speaker 6: just respect, or in his case, just no emotion at all.
- 59:04Speaker 6: Clearly your marriage is in some serious trouble here. I
- 59:07Speaker 6: mean he's barely talking to you, is very cold to
- 59:09Speaker 6: you during your time in the bedroom. He has changed
- 59:13Speaker 6: and it is not for the better. What information did
- 59:17Speaker 6: you leave out of this letter? Because these things usually
- 59:21Speaker 6: happen gradually and not all of a sudden. Now, just
- 59:24Speaker 6: like that, he no longer finds you attractive. He's rushing
- 59:28Speaker 6: you during intimacy. I think something has happened and you
- 59:31Speaker 6: need to find out what it is. It could be
- 59:34Speaker 6: another woman, it could be depression, it could be any
- 59:36Speaker 6: of those things. You can't be afraid to ask him though,
- 59:40Speaker 6: what it is and do your own research. You've done
- 59:43Speaker 6: your own research into your finances, so you can do
- 59:46Speaker 6: research into that. Don't just give up and do nothing.
- 59:48Speaker 6: You gotta talk to him. You gotta have a conversation
- 59:51Speaker 6: with him. It's not nagging. You definitely need to know
- 59:54Speaker 6: what's going on in your marriage, Steve, h.
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: Here is just it's about change, it's about lack of communication,
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: It's about see here's what happens in marriage, especially when
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: you've been married for some years. When you're getting married
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: after a while, everybody changes.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Everybody changes.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Nobody stays the same.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: You may be a subtle change that you don't recognize,
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: but everybody changes. The problem is the people that you
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: change in two Those two people still have to like
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: the person that they become. So what has happened is
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: what y'all used to be, y'all ain't no more. He
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: used to be passionate, He ain't no more. But I
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: got news for you somewhere in this letter. You're leaving
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: out a lot of information because something you used to do,
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: you ain't doing no more.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Something you used to be you ain't being no more.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: What happens in marriage is this can happen rather quickly
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: if you're not careful, because it can happen to newly.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: Where is when you're not communic I tell people all
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: the time, first thing you could do when you get married.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: What I had to learn the hard way was to
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: form a two handed circle.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I had to learn that the hard way.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: When you allow other people in with their opinion's thoughts,
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: that they don't have all the inside information, all of
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: their information and advice gonna be bad. It's gonna be
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: wrong because it ain't filtered in all the fact plus
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: now you all have twin daughters who have all gone
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: off and graduated high school and their professional dancers, ones
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: that go to be in New York to be a
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: ballet dancer and the other's background dancer for pop star. Okay,
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: but now y'all empty nesters. Okay, Well, y'all ain't no
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: more distractions. It's just you and him. That's what happened
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: when COVID hit. COVID broke up a lot of relationships
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: because the distraction was gone. Going to work was gone,
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: staying at happy hour was gone, moving around, going to
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: the gym was gone. Everybody was just at home. And
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: you discovered Lord him mercy. I needed all them distractions
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: because now it's just me and Huy. It's just you
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: and him. And a lot of people discovered something they
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: ain't like each other. Do you know that you could
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: love a person but not like here's another fact. You
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: can be in love with the wrong person. Uh oh,
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: anybody hear what I said? I said you can be
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: in love with the wrong person. There, it happens all
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: the time. Seen that movie, so welcome to the movies.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: We've all seen it. I know how this one is.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: When we come back back here's my prediction.
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: All right, coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: we'll have more of Steve's response, Part two of today's
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: Strawberry Letter. There is no emotion in his motions.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: Think about the people who mean the most to you.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: Giving them valuable protection is a great gift you can offer,
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: and Globe Life Insurance can make it easy with Globelife coverage.
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: There's no medical exam, just a simple application. Take this
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: step for the people you love. Call Globe Life at
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred, or
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: visit globelifradio dot com.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: That's one eight.
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: Hundred two five one fifty four hundred or globelifradio dot com.
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: And the subject is there's no emotion in his motions.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Ain't no emotion.
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: It iss no emotions and his emotions because the ain't
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: no emotions in the relationship.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Something has happened.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: The two people that you all when you all first married,
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: how many years have.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: They been married?
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: Twenty two?
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: Twenty two years ago? The two of you are totally
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: different people now. I don't know anybody that's the same
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: as they were twenty two years ago. I don't know anybody.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: Time changes people. Time changes all people. Now the people
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: that the two of you have become through the lack
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: of communication, you may be discovering that the two of
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: you don't even like each other. Now he's made it
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: obviously clear that he don't like you. According to this letter.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: He don't talk to you when he come in from work.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: He barely speaks to you. Someday you've talked to him
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: about depression. He say, ain't nothing wrong with him. Then
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: you ask him if y'all having financial problems, That ain't
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: it because you did some research for yourself. Then you
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: ask him about y'all summer plans to go see these
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: twin daughters y'all got, who are both dancers. One of
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: them is a ballet and the other one dance for
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: a pop star. So they can visit their daughters. He
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: said he.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: May not be able to go.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: But the problem you got it's how cold he treats
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: you when you all are infanty. He don't put any
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: emotion in his motions like he used to. It's like wam, damn,
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: thank you, ma'am, and he falls asleep. He don't kiss me,
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: and he stopped me from doing the pregame activities that
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: he used to love.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Don't do that.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Stop.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: I don't need that. Come on, listen, hell, come on,
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: come on, come on, come on, I don't need all that.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I'm ready. Let's go, let's do it. Oh that's wow.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: No, no, this is what you're doing. What you finna do?
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: I don't even like that no more. Come on, bab,
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: come on, come on.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Get up, get up?
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Come on?
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: What in shruggle?
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: I don't ever remember saying that in my life. I
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: never said these words. Get up, don't do that. I've
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: never said that.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: In my whole.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: This is six years. Get up, they don't do that.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I never never said that.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Ever.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: I stopped a lot of things in my life that
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: I have never ever seen. Get up, don't do that
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: to me?
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Ever.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Something is wrong here, something's horribly wrong. He don't kiss
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: you no more. The last time we had sex was
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: twenty two days ago. He forty seven. Don't worry about that.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: Them days gonna stretch out way longer than that. They're
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: gonna be some twenty twos you're gonna see some twenty twos.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: You're gonna put a three four in front of it.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: Sometimes there're gonna be some days. And then he told
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: me to hear him and finished because he had.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: A long day.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Ooh, that's cold.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: When I worked from home too, I used to when
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: I work from home two days a week, I used
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: to come home during the day and tighten me up.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: But he done stop doing that. How can a man.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: Go from passing the kisses of love make it to
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: a few quickies here and now after twenty two years
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: of being together? Twenty two years is the key? Things
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: have changed and it's been like this for a while. Lady,
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: this ain't just start happening. See you telling us the
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: last time y'all had sex with twenty two days, But
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: you ain't saying how many times you had it into
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: twenty two days prior to that. I'm telling you this
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: has been happening. He has changed and I can't even
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: imagine him cheating on me.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Oh you can't.
- 1:07:46Speaker 10: What?
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Okay, I'm glad you can't.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: I don't want to be a naggar. But is it
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: cool to ask him if he's seeing another woman? Well, lady,
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: let me ask you a question. That's a dumbest question
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: to ask a lad, because what do you think he
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: gonna say. I have not heard a woman asked her husband,
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: are you seeing somebody else? And he said, wow, it's
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: funny you ask as a matter of fact, I am
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: I beat that? Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: So so what's for dinner?
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: You think that he can tell you that. Now that
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: may not be the case, But what does your intuition
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: tell you? But I can tell you right now. If
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: y'all don't hurry up and have some conversations about the.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Real issue, this is over.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: This is over because the distractions in your life are gone.
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: Them two kids is off, y'all, empty nesses. It's just
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: you and him. See you haven't noticed it. But when
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: the kids was there, he didn't have to talk to
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: you all the time because the kids and the subject
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: y'all talked about a lot of time was the kids.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: When you remove the subject of children, daycare, college, tuition,
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: helping the kids, when you remove that conversation, it's just
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: you and him, and y'all need them distractions back. COVID
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: broke up a lot of families. Empty nests break up
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: a lot of families. But it could be your opportunity
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: to find what you really need. It could be his
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: opportunity too. Maybe y'all have grown apart. But if y'all
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: don't hurry up and talk this out and find out
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: get to the core of the problem. And I'm gonna
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: tell you something else too, lady. You are not what
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: you used to be twenty two years ago. So as
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: you point the finger at what he ain't doing no more,
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: and you're gonna have to go to counseling and take
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: a look at what's happening. Because when you point your finger,
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: remember three of them fingers to point back at you.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: And your thumb is too, so that's really fault.
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: All right. Leave us your comments on today's Strawberry Letters

- 1:13:54Speaker 14: a lot of people talking about Crozier.
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: All right, thank you you.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: And you're coming up.
- 1:13:58Speaker 6: At the top of the hour. A man on social
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: needs some advice. He says, I don't recognize my friend anymore.
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: from Myron on Steve Harvey FM. Myron says, one of
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: my closest friends has embraced a political ideology that seems
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: completely at odds with everything he's ever believed in and
- 1:14:26Speaker 6: stood for. What confuses me most is that the policies
- 1:14:30Speaker 6: and people he now defends don't benefit him personally at all,
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: and in some cases are directly opposed to things he
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: used to care deeply about, and some things he admits
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: he still cares about. Whenever I try to ask how
- 1:14:43Speaker 6: he reconciles those contradictions, the conversation turns into talking points
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: from social media. Is it arrogant of me to assume
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: I know what's best for him?
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: What?
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: No, you don't know what's best for him. That's his decision.
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: Leave it alone, don't stop.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: You know what I learned?
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: What this said?
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: Oh, poor people seek revenge, Good people forgive, intelligent people ignore.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: That's crazy, man, If.
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: You think about that, poor people won't revenge, poor minded
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: people won't revenge. Good people just forgive. But intelligent people
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: they just ignore it. I mean they don't spend no
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: time with it. Yeah, whatever, and just keep moving. And
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: I'm trying to become more and more intelligent.
- 1:15:49Speaker 6: I was getting ready to say that, I was getting
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: ready to ask you that are you We know it's
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: not poor?
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: Can I be intelligently poor?
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: No?
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: No, you can't can't.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I knew that was gonna be a question.
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: We're gonna get you can be intelligently poor because you're like,
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: what's the term? Oh, you know they have this term
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: out now called Trump derangement?
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: Trump?
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: What is that?
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: What they claim that people are deranged to go against Trump? Oh,
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: you want to blame Trump? But everything that goes on
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: is his faulcon Yeah.
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: Yeah, we're not delusional here, we're not at all.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: And he seeks revenge constantly. So when Tony said, can
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: you be rich and revengeful? You can be, but you're
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: now something else.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: To call that.
- 1:16:48Speaker 8: Yeah, So Tommy, you're gonna work on yourself. You can
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: just be intelligent and ignored. You don't have to.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: See way too much working on work that you said.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: You said he's finn to be intelli.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Yes, he said, I mean that should be a goal.
- 1:17:11Speaker 5: One he's seen Carla, Carlo.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: You here, it's not gonna work.
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: It's a lost car He's gonna erace fifty some years.
- 1:17:24Speaker 8: Tell me, would you like to just not seek revenge
- 1:17:28Speaker 8: sometimes and just let things go?
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: I mean, I can't make a phone.
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: Call that ain't know, Carla, let me.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: I can't let somebody go handle it.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I can't do that.
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: We know him, we know him.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: No, So I guess I got my answer.
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: That is that is the part where I had to
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: work on.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: I have the ability. I can have people talk to him.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: You can make that call. I'm scared to make this
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: call nowadays.
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: Yeah, man, And I had to just learn because I
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: can put him on you. Now that's what you want
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: if you insist I can put some on you.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I can.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: I can put that medicine on you. But I'm afraid
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: of what can happen. It can go too far.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: Line.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: You have to have a line with that call. You
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: have to, yes, just don't even pick it up.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: Don't make the call, yeah, because if it get out
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: of hand, they gonna get it back to you. It's
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: too much forensic evidence, too many wayside.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: We've got you smarter, Carlo.
- 1:18:42Speaker 5: I'm like, what all right?
- 1:18:44Speaker 17: Uh wow, yeah, of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
