- 2:03Speaker 9: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 9: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 9: a radio show. Man o man o, man Hey, you
- 2:17Speaker 9: know today, I just want to say something that I
- 2:23Speaker 9: don't think I've ever shared this way before. The The
- 2:31Speaker 9: title is very simple, and that is.
- 2:36Speaker 6: It's been worth it to me, you know.
- 2:40Speaker 9: I I just I just kept thinking that this morning,
- 2:45Speaker 9: that it's all been worth it to me. And what
- 2:50Speaker 9: I mean by that is this relationship that I have
- 2:54Speaker 9: with my heavenly father, it's been worth it to me.
- 3:00Speaker 9: I can't even tell you the value that it has
- 3:05Speaker 9: had in my life. I can't tell you how it's
- 3:12Speaker 9: helped me to understand not only my purpose, but to
- 3:19Speaker 9: better understand my past. That's that's critical, man, Because I'm
- 3:27Speaker 9: grateful for that because so many people can't get beyond
- 3:32Speaker 9: their past and event a set of circumstances, some calamity
- 3:37Speaker 9: that besaids them. Maybe it's been grief something, but it
- 3:41Speaker 9: ties so many people up. It's been so worth it
- 3:46Speaker 9: to me, it is, Man's it's been worth having someone
- 3:55Speaker 9: to go to when no one else was there. Do
- 4:01Speaker 9: you understand what I'm saying? It has It has given
- 4:05Speaker 9: me a place to go when no one else has
- 4:10Speaker 9: been there. Oh, hey man, we pulling for you. Hey man,
- 4:15Speaker 9: hanging now, Hey man, keep your head up.
- 4:18Speaker 6: All of that.
- 4:20Speaker 9: But I gotta tell you, man, you get yourself in
- 4:24Speaker 9: some circumstances and situations in this thing called life when
- 4:28Speaker 9: no one can help you but God, When the only
- 4:31Speaker 9: person that could possibly understand or know what you're feeling
- 4:35Speaker 9: is God. The only person that will sit there with
- 4:39Speaker 9: you through it all and understand everything about it has
- 4:44Speaker 9: been God. It's been worth it to me, man, It's
- 4:49Speaker 9: it's been worth it to me. It's been the biggest improvement.
- 4:55Speaker 6: In my life.
- 4:57Speaker 9: I mean, man, as I look back over my life
- 5:00Speaker 9: and forming a strong bond with God has been the
- 5:06Speaker 9: most beneficial thing to me. You know, these things you
- 5:10Speaker 9: read in your in your in in writings in the
- 5:14Speaker 9: Bible or or whatever you're reading.
- 5:16Speaker 6: You know, when you when you read scriptures and things
- 5:19Speaker 6: of that nature.
- 5:20Speaker 9: It it's it's been around a long time.
- 5:26Speaker 6: It holds so much truth to it.
- 5:29Speaker 9: I mean, man, it's like, how could this have been
- 5:31Speaker 9: written so long ago and still pertained directly to today?
- 5:40Speaker 6: I mean that that's amazing. That is amazing to me.
- 5:45Speaker 10: That.
- 5:45Speaker 9: I mean, that has to be God at work to
- 5:48Speaker 9: have written something so complete, so dead on point that
- 5:56Speaker 9: if you read it today it means exactly what pertains
- 6:03Speaker 9: to today. That's amazing, man. That's why my spiritual walk
- 6:11Speaker 9: it's just worth it to me. And I keep saying
- 6:14Speaker 9: it's worth it, because if you're sitting out there and
- 6:17Speaker 9: you tripping like I was tripping, deciding, nah, let me
- 6:20Speaker 9: do it. I got a few more things I want
- 6:22Speaker 9: to do. Couple more girls I want to holler at,
- 6:25Speaker 9: couple more things I want to get into. I got
- 6:27Speaker 9: a cup more deals I want to do. I got
- 6:28Speaker 9: a little bit more dirt. I want to roll up
- 6:30Speaker 9: on me a little bit.
- 6:31Speaker 6: First.
- 6:31Speaker 9: For a while, man, I wish I had known, I
- 6:35Speaker 9: really wish I had understood exactly what forming a relationship
- 6:39Speaker 9: with God would do for me. It's been at worth
- 6:43Speaker 9: every person who out there who hate on me, that
- 6:48Speaker 9: don't even know me, it's because I have a relationship
- 6:52Speaker 9: with Him that I'm fine with that. I don't care
- 6:55Speaker 9: for it, but it ain't gonna stop me though, See,
- 6:59Speaker 9: because I know for a fact that haters make you greater.
- 7:05Speaker 9: I know for a fact that haters validate your mere existence.
- 7:11Speaker 9: I know for a fact that half of them is
- 7:14Speaker 9: out of envy and jealousy because of something you're doing
- 7:18Speaker 9: that they wish they could do or they won't credit for,
- 7:23Speaker 9: so they just nah, I ain't anything all that bam,
- 7:26Speaker 9: And now you just all over the place with people. Man,
- 7:29Speaker 9: I'm so grateful for this relationship that it has not
- 7:33Speaker 9: allowed outside influences that do not have my best interest
- 7:38Speaker 9: at heart to throw me off course. It has just
- 7:43Speaker 9: been worth it. And if you're sitting out there and
- 7:46Speaker 9: you're wondering about the benefits of it, I can't even
- 7:51Speaker 9: tell you what it's like to know that when bad
- 7:54Speaker 9: things are happening to me, the calming peace that I
- 7:58Speaker 9: feel that I know that that's gonna be alright too,
- 8:03Speaker 9: that I know that this too shall pass, that I
- 8:06Speaker 9: know in my heart of hearts, man, that there's got
- 8:10Speaker 9: to be a reason for this, And if I can
- 8:12Speaker 9: just hang on in there, he gonna unfold that from
- 8:15Speaker 9: me and he gonna let me see it. But the
- 8:17Speaker 9: number one thing I always know is I'm gonna survive
- 8:20Speaker 9: this one too, that this too shall pass. It has
- 8:23Speaker 9: been worth it to me, man, to have this thing
- 8:27Speaker 9: called faith, which is the belief in things that you
- 8:30Speaker 9: cannot see, and to know man along the way that,
- 8:34Speaker 9: oh my goodness, man, even though I don't know what's next,
- 8:38Speaker 9: or even I'm not really sure about the next step,
- 8:42Speaker 9: I do know for a fact that Samoa is coming.
- 8:45Speaker 9: I do know for a fact. It is a fact
- 8:49Speaker 9: that God will take care of me. It is a
- 8:53Speaker 9: fact that he will never ever leave me or desert me.
- 8:57Speaker 9: If I just stay here where I'm supposed to be.
- 9:00Speaker 9: He's coming. The Calvary's coming over the hill. He coming
- 9:04Speaker 9: over the hill. And when he come over that hill,
- 9:06Speaker 9: he gonna wipe out all this mess down here that
- 9:09Speaker 9: that's trying to hurt me, That that I don't have
- 9:11Speaker 9: to worry about my enemies anymore, that my enemies that
- 9:16Speaker 9: are all around you can surround me. You can shoot
- 9:20Speaker 9: all the arrows you want. Now, it's not to say
- 9:23Speaker 9: that none of them ain't gonna come close. And I
- 9:26Speaker 9: ain't gonna say that, you know, I ain't gonna be
- 9:29Speaker 9: a little under some pressure, a little nervous about being
- 9:31Speaker 9: shot at so hard. But at the end of the day,
- 9:34Speaker 9: I know this for show. Ain't none of them gonna
- 9:37Speaker 9: stick in me. You can shoot them, but ain't none
- 9:39Speaker 9: of them gonna stick in me? No matter what you do,
- 9:44Speaker 9: no weapon formed against me, nothing you can't. You can't
- 9:50Speaker 9: do nothing with me. Man, I'm so cool. It's been
- 9:54Speaker 9: worth it for me.
- 9:55Speaker 11: Man, you're listening Morning Show.

- 14:40Speaker 3: Okay, well, there is a reunion, man, she's actually I
- 14:43Speaker 3: think signed up for it. I'm not sure that's why
- 14:45Speaker 3: I asked you, but I think I saw her name
- 14:48Speaker 3: was that she was signed up to come. Let me

- 15:17Speaker 3: you know, if you didn't mind me escorting her to
- 15:20Speaker 3: the twenty five year class reunion.
- 15:22Speaker 16: Doing well, let me say that again.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Like I said, Man, my name is Ken, Ken. I

- 15:58Speaker 3: No.
- 15:58Speaker 16: Where I put the ring on up, you said you was?
- 16:01Speaker 16: You was her high school sweetheart.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean we was together from you know, ninth grade,
- 16:04Speaker 3: all the ways a month to pressman year in college.
- 16:06Speaker 16: You know, so that was that was in the past.
- 16:09Speaker 16: But I'm trying to let you know that. But that
- 16:11Speaker 16: was in the past. I'm the president, so I don't
- 16:13Speaker 16: even think she's gonna be interested in trying to go
- 16:15Speaker 16: nowhere with you. Anyway.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Hey man, what I'm trying to explain you this. I'm innocent, though, Man,
- 16:19Speaker 3: this is just me taking her to you know, you
- 16:21Speaker 3: know I thought she might get a kick out of
- 16:23Speaker 3: us going together. You know, I don't know what's wrong
- 16:25Speaker 3: with you. I didne told you. If it's not going
- 16:27Speaker 3: to one ear, put the phone on the other one.
- 16:29Speaker 3: She ain't going nowhere? What you do?
- 16:31Speaker 16: I need to break it down anymore.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Hey man, you ain't gotta you ain't gotta talk to
- 16:34Speaker 3: me and disrespect me like this. Man, Now, all I
- 16:36Speaker 3: tried to do is you tell.
- 16:38Speaker 17: Me I'm disrespecting you. You're gonna call my gonna tell
- 16:41Speaker 17: me I'm disrespecting you. You asking me, can you take
- 16:44Speaker 17: my wife to the damn class reunion? And expect me
- 16:47Speaker 17: to be okay with that? What kind of damn food
- 16:50Speaker 17: is going to call? Somebody ask can you take the
- 16:51Speaker 17: wife toil class reunion?
- 16:53Speaker 10: Hey man?
- 16:53Speaker 3: That was my high school sweetheart, all right, we had
- 16:56Speaker 3: we had something. I was up first, Okay, I was talk.
- 17:00Speaker 3: If you were the first, then I'm the last and
- 17:02Speaker 3: I'm the only one. So we're gonna leave it at that.
- 17:04Speaker 3: How about that, partner? It's whatever, man, you know what, man,
- 17:07Speaker 3: I try to call you and talk to you like
- 17:10Speaker 3: a man. But you know what I should have did.
- 17:11Speaker 3: I should me like that doing a little bad. I
- 17:15Speaker 3: should have called Sylvia in the first I should have
- 17:16Speaker 3: never called. Matter of fact, you know what I apologize for,
- 17:19Speaker 3: cause let me get out the phone and just called
- 17:21Speaker 3: Sylvia cead and do that.
- 17:25Speaker 16: You go right on the head and call her.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Well, that's what I'm gonna do, because Sylvia can make
- 17:29Speaker 3: a decision on what Sylvia.
- 17:30Speaker 16: Want to do. I can tell you what thing Sylvia do,
- 17:33Speaker 16: what Sylvia want to do. But Sylvia ain't interested in you.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Man. This is not about being interested in me.
- 17:38Speaker 17: Man.
- 17:38Speaker 3: This is innocent. This is just me and her going
- 17:41Speaker 3: to the damn class reunion together. Man. It ain't like
- 17:44Speaker 3: we're finna go do something together. Man, on a physical level,
- 17:48Speaker 3: We're just going to have fun out on time.
- 17:51Speaker 10: Is my cool.
- 17:52Speaker 16: I'm trying to tell you that I'd already told you no. Okay,
- 17:55Speaker 16: if you can't get no, I don't know what you
- 17:58Speaker 16: can't get. But you ain't getting Silvie. I'll tell you
- 18:00Speaker 16: that much. She's not going to no reunion.
- 18:02Speaker 3: You know what, man, I'm through talking to you. I'm
- 18:05Speaker 3: just gonna call Sylvia because that's what I should have
- 18:07Speaker 3: done in the first place. Who was run a call?
- 18:08Speaker 17: Listen, I'll tell you whether you ain't gonna call nobody,
- 18:11Speaker 17: you bet not die my wife number. Man, I'm telling
- 18:13Speaker 17: you this right now. I'll be at that class word union.
- 18:16Speaker 17: I'll be looking for your kid, whatever your name is.
- 18:19Speaker 17: I'm gonna find out who you are. I ain't playing
- 18:21Speaker 17: those like as I told you. You are disrespectful in
- 18:25Speaker 17: the first place. I didn't told Joe don't call my wife.
- 18:29Speaker 17: She ain't going to don't put.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Union, so you better not call her phone.
- 18:33Speaker 10: I've been you know, love you lady.
- 18:36Speaker 17: You don't want to do walk up and knit of
- 18:38Speaker 17: my situation.
- 18:39Speaker 10: Now.
- 18:39Speaker 17: I told you I will come to this class reunion

- 34:47Speaker 1: I mean, he's just tall.
- 34:48Speaker 14: Can all let it that hike? It's gonna look that's
- 34:54Speaker 14: not going to even look with your partner at your weekend.
- 34:57Speaker 11: That's true.
- 34:58Speaker 10: That's true.
- 34:58Speaker 6: He's gonna dance with he.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Odd, You're You're right, I'm visualizing that that will look
- 35:06Speaker 1: rather odd. Hold on, how's the weather up there?
- 35:12Speaker 7: Right?
- 35:13Speaker 6: Wow?
- 35:14Speaker 8: Was back in the day though, Remember Emma Smith. Emma
- 35:16Speaker 8: Smith was good back in the day on day Oh yeah, yeah,
- 35:19Speaker 8: he was.
- 35:21Speaker 6: Who he was?
- 35:24Speaker 14: Who was the worst dancer? Who was the worst dancing masterpiece.
- 35:28Speaker 15: Yeah, because he won't take his sneakers off. He wouldn't
- 35:32Speaker 15: tell you he wouldn't wear dancing shoes.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Remember that, that's what you think.
- 35:36Speaker 21: It was.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Among the fact that he couldn't dance, but he had
- 35:43Speaker 1: no he couldn't slide on the floor.
- 35:45Speaker 15: Coming up in twenty minutes after, Really, we have more
- 35:48Speaker 15: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 35:51Speaker 11: No, no, no, no, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:56Speaker 15: The United States has suffered at least get this number.
- 35:59Speaker 15: This is unimaginable, three hundred and eighty five mass shootings
- 36:04Speaker 15: so far this year.
- 36:05Speaker 1: We're just in September, Okay.
- 36:08Speaker 15: According to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines mass shootings
- 36:12Speaker 15: as those in which four or more victims are shot,
- 36:15Speaker 15: this includes Wednesday's deadly rampage at Appalachi High School in
- 36:20Speaker 15: winder Georgia. Vice President Kamala Harris called the shooting that
- 36:23Speaker 15: killed four people at a Georgia high school a quote
- 36:26Speaker 15: senseless tragedy. Speaking at a rally in New Hampshire on Wednesday,
- 36:30Speaker 15: vice President Harris set her heart is with the students
- 36:32Speaker 15: and the teachers of the school. The vice President went
- 36:35Speaker 15: on to say It's just outrageous that every day in
- 36:39Speaker 15: our country, in the United States of America, that parents
- 36:42Speaker 15: have to send their children to school worried about whether
- 36:46Speaker 15: or not their child will come a home live.
- 36:49Speaker 1: That is our reality.
- 36:50Speaker 15: While President Joe Biden said he and First Lady Jill
- 36:53Speaker 15: Biden are mourning those killed in the shooting, he demanded
- 36:57Speaker 15: that Congress moved to pass gun control.
- 37:00Speaker 6: And we know how we just finished talking about this,
- 37:03Speaker 6: y'all remember that yesterday just.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Finished about the kids and the phones at school.
- 37:08Speaker 6: Kids with the phones in the school, Should they have them?
- 37:10Speaker 8: Should I not have the I was, you know, letting
- 37:12Speaker 8: you guys know that I wanted my son have his
- 37:14Speaker 8: phone so he can at least tell me when something
- 37:16Speaker 8: is going wrong.
- 37:17Speaker 15: Yeah, And some of the kids did have cell phones
- 37:20Speaker 15: and they were able to reach their parents.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I mean, can you imagine as a parent getting the
- 37:25Speaker 2: text so one of the senior students text to his mom,
- 37:28Speaker 2: I love you.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Can you imagine things?
- 37:31Speaker 2: It's I will not change until legislation, until we hold
- 37:36Speaker 2: our elected officials accountable, make change, make change. Otherwise it's
- 37:42Speaker 2: going to be the same thing. This is heartbreaking that
- 37:46Speaker 2: we're going through this, that we say this and all
- 37:48Speaker 2: they said every time, our thoughts and prayers. If they
- 37:51Speaker 2: don't want to do anything about them control, it's.
- 37:55Speaker 6: Just because of what because of the NRI. Let's tell
- 37:57Speaker 6: it what it is.
- 37:58Speaker 15: Yeah, because of the money, so much money and they
- 38:00Speaker 15: fund on its campaigns and all of that.
- 38:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Do you think you know there was a situation there
- 38:06Speaker 2: was a school shooting in Michigan and they held the
- 38:09Speaker 2: parent of the shooter responsible and found them guilty.
- 38:15Speaker 1: As well, and there's serving time now, right.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that that needs to be the case
- 38:21Speaker 2: to hold parents accountable and respond to how are these kids?
- 38:24Speaker 2: It's fourteen year old now, who's going to be tried
- 38:27Speaker 2: as an adult? He would get the gun? How did
- 38:29Speaker 2: he get access to the gun? And I'm not saying
- 38:32Speaker 2: it was at the home. I'm just saying if it was,
- 38:35Speaker 2: then nine.
- 38:37Speaker 8: Times out of ten is at the house? Call nine
- 38:39Speaker 8: times out of ten the parent has let the kids
- 38:42Speaker 8: know where it is. You know what's in your house,
- 38:44Speaker 8: you know it, you got access to it, you know
- 38:47Speaker 8: it's there. You just got to I mean, my wife
- 38:50Speaker 8: don't want no guns in the house at all.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Can you blame her?
- 38:53Speaker 17: Though?
- 38:54Speaker 1: We have to do something about this.
- 38:56Speaker 15: Some way, somehow, and most definitely we are praying for
- 39:01Speaker 15: the victims of this horrible, horrific gun shooting yet again.
- 39:06Speaker 15: All right, thanks guys. Coming up at thirty four minutes
- 39:09Speaker 15: after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 39:11Speaker 15: Morning Show right after this.
- 39:13Speaker 11: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:17Speaker 15: All right, here's a question from Randy on Steve Harvey FM.
- 39:21Speaker 15: Randy said, I don't know what's up with my girlfriend,
- 39:23Speaker 15: but she's now apparently using props to trap me into
- 39:27Speaker 15: admitting to cheating on her. We've had a long distance
- 39:30Speaker 15: relationship for over a year, and during her most recent visit,
- 39:34Speaker 15: she came from the bedroom livid after finding earrings in
- 39:38Speaker 15: my bed sheets.
- 39:40Speaker 1: No one has been in my bed other than me
- 39:43Speaker 1: and her.
- 39:44Speaker 15: She also found lipstick in my medicine cabinet and the
- 39:48Speaker 15: founders in quotation sure okay.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 39:51Speaker 15: And she found some body wash soap that she said
- 39:54Speaker 15: she doesn't use. So what's really going on here? Randy
- 39:58Speaker 15: wants to know. Randy says, I think she's the one
- 40:00Speaker 15: cheating or she wants out, so she's creating these issues
- 40:04Speaker 15: so she can get whatever justification she feels she needs
- 40:08Speaker 15: to leave me.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I'm confused.
- 40:10Speaker 15: I thought we were happy, and I was even thinking
- 40:13Speaker 15: of moving closer to her once my lease is up
- 40:15Speaker 15: in a month. So here's the question, guys, why do
- 40:19Speaker 15: cheeters blame their partners?
- 40:23Speaker 1: Tommy, I mean, this is let's go back.
- 40:26Speaker 6: Let's go back to the story. First. Firstly, I believe
- 40:30Speaker 6: she's just trying to see if he.
- 40:33Speaker 8: Has anything going on. I think she's just a paranoid girlfriend,
- 40:37Speaker 8: That's what I think. You just want to create these
- 40:39Speaker 8: scenarios in the act and see if he's going to
- 40:41Speaker 8: break in. I don't know who's that either, I don't know.
- 40:43Speaker 8: Ain't nobody been over here. You want to catch him
- 40:46Speaker 8: in this nervous look. You want to make see if
- 40:48Speaker 8: he's gonna have any kind of reaction that's going to
- 40:51Speaker 8: make you think that there's something going on. And the
- 40:53Speaker 8: man already know ain't nothing going on. So that's why
- 40:56Speaker 8: he know your ass is planting all this stuff. This
- 40:59Speaker 8: is this is all on her, brother.
- 41:00Speaker 6: You need to leave her. Man, If you got a
- 41:03Speaker 6: woman in paranoid, you need to be with her at all.
- 41:07Speaker 6: Out of that she with.
- 41:09Speaker 14: Lipstick and ear rings and all that. In the minute,
- 41:12Speaker 14: you'll be like whose parents are days, Rand.
- 41:20Speaker 10: Is this.
- 41:22Speaker 14: I don't know the people them strangers.
- 41:25Speaker 12: Okay, checking, okay, Yeah, so you're shifting the blame.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah, she's trying. That's a thing.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that she wants to get it off on her
- 41:37Speaker 2: and so she's throwing it on him and that's what
- 41:40Speaker 2: offense defense type.
- 41:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Yeah, she's a little nutty though, she's.
- 41:47Speaker 6: All of that. Yeah.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Yeah, this is if you want to break up, Just
- 41:54Speaker 1: break up. Okay, are you doing all this stuff? She
- 41:59Speaker 1: doesn't want to look like the back yeh. She just
- 42:01Speaker 1: want to look like y'all think she cheating.
- 42:03Speaker 6: That's what y'all think.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Well, that's where Randy.
- 42:07Speaker 8: Randy need to go to her house since they live
- 42:08Speaker 8: alone distance and go over there and start pulling draws out?
- 42:11Speaker 6: Who draws a D? D?
- 42:15Speaker 1: Who's the d?
- 42:15Speaker 2: Who?
- 42:16Speaker 6: Timber Land boots and d's right here? Who's that? Who
- 42:20Speaker 6: is this?
- 42:20Speaker 3: Just for me?
- 42:21Speaker 6: And I know this ain't George?
- 42:22Speaker 8: Who just for me?
- 42:23Speaker 6: And Beard dies this?
- 42:24Speaker 10: Who is this?
- 42:25Speaker 18: Yeah?
- 42:26Speaker 15: He probably should go because she sounds like she's always
- 42:29Speaker 15: coming to his house.
- 42:30Speaker 1: He should go and see what she's got going on.
- 42:33Speaker 1: You got well, uh, because she's got something going on.
- 42:36Speaker 11: Huh.
- 42:36Speaker 1: So here's a question.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Then, So have you, guys, ever been in that situation
- 42:41Speaker 2: where you cheat, break up, you want to break up,
- 42:44Speaker 2: but you shift the blame on the other person in
- 42:48Speaker 2: the relationship?
- 42:51Speaker 19: Done everything that is've done it all?
- 42:55Speaker 14: Yes, of course I have.
- 42:57Speaker 6: Because here.
- 43:01Speaker 8: Cause I know how to start an argument at six
- 43:04Speaker 8: fifty nine, because I want to do something at seven thirty,
- 43:07Speaker 8: I know exactly how.
- 43:07Speaker 3: To do it.
- 43:08Speaker 15: Okay, opening line, opening line, opening line, let's go, opening line.
- 43:13Speaker 8: Action.
- 43:14Speaker 1: What's wrong with you?
- 43:15Speaker 6: Why is the water frozen in the freeze. I'm just
- 43:18Speaker 6: gonna ask you one time.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Why ice?
- 43:23Speaker 8: No, no, no, Jack, That's what I'm talking about. Why
- 43:25Speaker 8: the water frozen in the freeze. This is why, this
- 43:28Speaker 8: is why I can't be in here this long. That's
- 43:29Speaker 8: why this is exactly why it's right here. I'm gonna
- 43:33Speaker 8: get my I'm finna get my keys.
- 43:34Speaker 6: See why.
- 43:35Speaker 8: Let me know when you when you want to explain
- 43:37Speaker 8: to me why the water frozen in the freeze, I'll
- 43:40Speaker 8: be back.
- 43:40Speaker 6: But it's it end. I'm out, Okay, I'm not finish
- 43:43Speaker 6: city and do this with you? With you? So you
- 43:51Speaker 6: put all this salt in the soft shaking, That's what
- 43:53Speaker 6: you did.
- 43:55Speaker 1: That's what you do. It doesn't just it's not just
- 43:58Speaker 1: at work, Okay, got it? Coming up next it is
- 44:02Speaker 1: a nephew, and the stupidity continues, you know, it does.

- 54:01Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 54:01Speaker 15: Nephew's subject is his granddaddy expecting something here. Stephen Shirley,
- 54:07Speaker 15: my boyfriend and I live about forty minutes from where
- 54:10Speaker 15: his granddad lives. We've been together forever, so his family
- 54:14Speaker 15: is my family, whether we're married or not. His grandfather
- 54:18Speaker 15: and I are besties, and he hangs out with me
- 54:20Speaker 15: a lot. I take him to the grocery store weekly
- 54:23Speaker 15: because he lives alone. I drive him back and forth
- 54:26Speaker 15: to all of his doctor's appointments too. He has been
- 54:30Speaker 15: in rehab from an old knee injury for the past month,
- 54:33Speaker 15: so I take him to therapy twice a week and
- 54:35Speaker 15: I sit in on the appointment. The other day, during treatment,
- 54:39Speaker 15: he shifted his body suddenly and his man parts almost
- 54:43Speaker 15: slid out of his short.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I was ashamed for him.
- 54:48Speaker 15: Granddad told his therapist that he hates that I saw
- 54:51Speaker 15: it because now I might try to jump his bones.
- 54:55Speaker 15: On the way home, it made me sick to my stomach.
- 54:59Speaker 15: I didn't have much to say on the way home,
- 55:01Speaker 15: and Granddad stared at me most of the time. I
- 55:04Speaker 15: told my boyfriend that his granddaddy must wear long plants
- 55:07Speaker 15: to the next appointment. I picked up Grandad for another
- 55:10Speaker 15: appointment yesterday, and he said that he couldn't stop thinking
- 55:14Speaker 15: about how I reacted when I saw his man parts.
- 55:17Speaker 15: I assured him that I didn't see anything, and I
- 55:20Speaker 15: told him that I love him like he is my family,
- 55:23Speaker 15: like my grandfather. He said, it is more than that,
- 55:26Speaker 15: and he can sense that I am scared to express
- 55:29Speaker 15: my feelings. I was so disgusted. All the way back
- 55:33Speaker 15: to my house. My boyfriend and I were arguing about
- 55:35Speaker 15: his nasty granddaddy. He said, his granddaddy was joking around
- 55:39Speaker 15: and I have nothing to worry about.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Is he harmless?
- 55:42Speaker 15: Well, he hasn't done anything yet, so I mean, but
- 55:45Speaker 15: first of all, why are you doing all this for
- 55:48Speaker 15: your man's granddaddy in the first place.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I mean, it's very kind of you.
- 55:52Speaker 15: I have to say that it's nice, but you're adding
- 55:54Speaker 15: a blood or under any obligation to do so, and
- 55:57Speaker 15: you do it anyway. So if you were, or if
- 56:01Speaker 15: you're uncomfortable around granddaddy since you saw his junk, back
- 56:04Speaker 15: off a little bit, let's somebody else take up the slack.
- 56:07Speaker 15: Remember you said you and his granddaddy were besties and
- 56:11Speaker 15: he hangs out with you a lot, and his family
- 56:14Speaker 15: is your family, whether you're married or not.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Those are your words.
- 56:17Speaker 15: What happened to him was a mistake, nothing more and
- 56:20Speaker 15: nothing less. Granddaddy was even joking with the doctor about it,
- 56:25Speaker 15: and yes, I do believe he was joking and teasing
- 56:27Speaker 15: you a bit.
- 56:28Speaker 1: You didn't like it, but he was teasing.
- 56:31Speaker 15: But again, if you don't like it, you gotta tell him,
- 56:33Speaker 15: let him know it's uncomfortable for you, and to stop
- 56:35Speaker 15: messing with you like that.
- 56:37Speaker 1: And if he doesn't stop, guess what. You stop. You
- 56:40Speaker 1: don't have to take him everywhere or be around him
- 56:42Speaker 1: like you do. You don't have to do this.
- 56:44Speaker 15: He'll get the message and know that you're serious and
- 56:46Speaker 15: you mean business, and tell your boyfriend how you feel too.
- 56:50Speaker 15: But you, not them, not your man, and Granddaddy can
- 56:54Speaker 15: control how you deal with Granddaddy and this family going forward.
- 56:57Speaker 1: That's on you to sit on me.
- 57:02Speaker 8: You need to get ready cause this junk about to
- 57:05Speaker 8: be popping out every time you turn around.
- 57:07Speaker 6: Now, he didn't.
- 57:09Speaker 8: The junkman fell out once, and I promise you it's
- 57:12Speaker 8: gonna start popping out everywhere. And you gotta understand where
- 57:16Speaker 8: old people go. You gotta know where old people go. Okay,
- 57:19Speaker 8: all right, Golden Corral, it's gonna pop out. I promise
- 57:22Speaker 8: it's gonna pop out right over right at the at

- 57:30Speaker 8: right after the grand slam, it's gonna pop out. I'm
- 57:32Speaker 8: telling you, okay, pick a dilly. That's that's that's the
- 57:35Speaker 8: old spot Piccadilly. It's gonna pop out and pick a
- 57:37Speaker 8: dip there, girl.
- 57:39Speaker 6: I don't know what around. I don't know. It keep
- 57:41Speaker 6: popping out on it reck Sal. They don't go to.
- 57:43Speaker 8: They don't go to Walgreens or CB. They go to
- 57:45Speaker 8: Rex Saal. They farming is different. You understand, it'll pop
- 57:49Speaker 8: out there, grocery throw. But you know where it's gonna
- 57:51Speaker 8: pop out at the grocery store. You know where right
- 57:54Speaker 8: over there? Come here.
- 57:57Speaker 6: My job, dam Now, it's gonna pop.
- 58:00Speaker 8: Then let me tell you something about old men, young lady,
- 58:02Speaker 8: here's one thing you need to know about the old man.
- 58:04Speaker 8: They gonna keep trying until you give in. I promise
- 58:09Speaker 8: you this old man ain't gonna stop now. He gonna
- 58:12Speaker 8: keep trying until you give in. And guess what, in
- 58:15Speaker 8: a minute, you gonna want it?
- 58:19Speaker 10: You don't want it.
- 58:21Speaker 8: Yes, I'm trying to tell you if Granddaddy keep it,
- 58:24Speaker 8: if he keep doing what he's doing, sooner or later,
- 58:27Speaker 8: he just know, if he lean on your loan enough,
- 58:30Speaker 8: you're gonna break. I'm just I'm just letting you know. Okay,
- 58:33Speaker 8: it's gonna show up in your dreams. You can't unsee
- 58:36Speaker 8: what you saw at all. You saw what you saw,
- 58:39Speaker 8: all right. Let me let you in on nothing little secret.
- 58:41Speaker 6: This ain't just popeyed like that.
- 58:43Speaker 2: He did that.
- 58:45Speaker 3: No, no, no, he did that.
- 58:46Speaker 8: Granddaddy know what he's doing. He's setting in some years old.
- 58:49Speaker 8: He know how to pope eye. You know how to

- 59:06Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, okay, I'm just saying. I'm just saying, he
- 59:10Speaker 8: knows how to pop out.
- 59:13Speaker 6: He doing that.
- 59:14Speaker 8: Okay, it's like okay, like a like a like a

- 59:24Speaker 8: Yeah, granddaddy dropping his ankle. That's how he's doing shirt.

- 1:00:23Speaker 1: after this. You're listening.
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: Morning show.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: All right, we're going to recap today's Strawberry letter. Guys.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: The subject is granddaddy expecting something? A young lady wrote us.
- 1:00:33Speaker 15: She said she and her boyfriend live about forty minutes
- 1:00:35Speaker 15: from where his granddad lives, and they've been together for
- 1:00:38Speaker 15: a long time. She and her boyfriend, so his family
- 1:00:41Speaker 15: is her family, whether they're married or not. His grandfather
- 1:00:45Speaker 15: and her are besties. The grandfather hangs out with her
- 1:00:49Speaker 15: a lot. She takes him to the grocery store because
- 1:00:51Speaker 15: he lives alone. She drives him back and forth to
- 1:00:53Speaker 15: all of his doctor's appointments. He's been in rehab for
- 1:00:58Speaker 15: a knee injury and she's been taking him to the What, Tommy.
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: Where does she work it? Y'all?
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Want to do all of this.
- 1:01:09Speaker 10: Lunch time her in.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:01:12Speaker 15: Anyway, Yeah, anyway, so she takes him to therapy and
- 1:01:16Speaker 15: all of this. You know, maybe she's an older lady.
- 1:01:18Speaker 15: Maybe she's an older lady and you know she's retired
- 1:01:21Speaker 15: or something. Anyway, she took him to his rehabilitation treatment
- 1:01:27Speaker 15: and he shifted his body. She stays in the room
- 1:01:32Speaker 15: with him during his appointment. So she stays with him,
- 1:01:35Speaker 15: and uh, he was getting an appointment getting checked out
- 1:01:38Speaker 15: and his therapist with his therapist and Granddaddy shifted his
- 1:01:43Speaker 15: body and his jump popped out and she saw it.
- 1:01:48Speaker 15: She was ashamed for granddad, and Granddaddy told the therapist
- 1:01:55Speaker 15: he hates that that happened, and she saw it because
- 1:01:58Speaker 15: she might try to jump his on the way on
- 1:02:01Speaker 15: the way home. That's where Granddaddy says all of this,
- 1:02:06Speaker 15: But then she said it made her sick to the stomach.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: She hates she saw it. All he did was stare
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: at her. On the way home.
- 1:02:12Speaker 15: You know, she told her boyfriend that granddaddy was nasty.
- 1:02:16Speaker 15: He had another appointment. If he didn't wear some long pants,
- 1:02:19Speaker 15: he would have to get somebody else to take her,
- 1:02:21Speaker 15: take him all of that. So they've been arguing. She
- 1:02:24Speaker 15: wants to know is granddaddy expecting something, does he have anything,
- 1:02:28Speaker 15: does she have anything to worry about?
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Or is he harmless?
- 1:02:32Speaker 15: That's that's where we are. Tommy said, it's going to
- 1:02:34Speaker 15: keep popping out. I said, if you don't want this
- 1:02:36Speaker 15: to happen, stop taking him to his appointments. Stop Jr.
- 1:02:43Speaker 14: You know, you know what I realized is, uh, this
- 1:02:47Speaker 14: is just a situation that happened.
- 1:02:48Speaker 12: I'm gonna just walk out down the road of the
- 1:02:50Speaker 12: super happened because they all in this one room.
- 1:02:52Speaker 14: You know, you've been in the exam room. It's not
- 1:02:54Speaker 14: very big, so you have to you know, you have
- 1:02:56Speaker 14: the therapist sitting there. Then you know, you have the
- 1:02:59Speaker 14: girlfriend and.
- 1:02:59Speaker 12: An granddaddy, and then they moving Granddaddy around trying to
- 1:03:02Speaker 12: see if his shoulders work, trying to work out his
- 1:03:05Speaker 12: niggaments and everything, and then he shifted and then two
- 1:03:10Speaker 12: netty potatoes. You ever seen the potatoes that's in the
- 1:03:12Speaker 12: net the red came out and now it's uncomfortable for
- 1:03:18Speaker 12: everybody in the room. And then so they made eye contact,
- 1:03:22Speaker 12: and then now she leave at Granddaddy and Granddaddy. Mine
- 1:03:25Speaker 12: went a whole nother way because Granddaddy started thinking, is
- 1:03:28Speaker 12: this possible?
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: This con really.
- 1:03:32Speaker 22: It's just there, you know, and Granddaddy looking at it
- 1:03:39Speaker 22: in the eye, and they made eye contact, and what
- 1:03:41Speaker 22: he thought was admiration.
- 1:03:44Speaker 12: She was shamed, and he started thinking, like, this could
- 1:03:46Speaker 12: be daddy granddaddy girlfriend. He started thinking that. Yeah, he
- 1:03:50Speaker 12: started thinking that, and he said, oh my god, this
- 1:03:53Speaker 12: could really be my girl. So he started thinking how
- 1:03:55Speaker 12: much social security should I be giving her because he's
- 1:03:59Speaker 12: trying to make a relationship off of this one thing
- 1:04:02Speaker 12: that happened.
- 1:04:02Speaker 14: Because then she want to jump his bone, y'all remember me,
- 1:04:05Speaker 14: he say, one jumping bone.
- 1:04:06Speaker 12: So now you got you got the potatoes out here,
- 1:04:10Speaker 12: and then you got you got her in the room,

- 1:10:17Speaker 15: paying her mortgage, which is fine since I'm an only
- 1:10:21Speaker 15: child and will inherit her home one day.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: The last few weeks she needed a busy as well.
- 1:10:27Speaker 15: Oh he's helping his mom and the house is going
- 1:10:30Speaker 15: to be his anyway, so start paying the mortgage now,
- 1:10:32Speaker 15: That's what he's basically saying. The last few weeks she's
- 1:10:36Speaker 15: needed a bit of extra cash, so I gave it
- 1:10:38Speaker 15: to her, but asked why she'd been short. She then
- 1:10:41Speaker 15: tells me that she's been giving money to her ninety
- 1:10:44Speaker 15: something neighbors so she can buy groceries. While I appreciate
- 1:10:48Speaker 15: that she's helping a friend, I know the neighbor has
- 1:10:51Speaker 15: children and wonder why they can't help Should I intervene
- 1:10:54Speaker 15: in this situation to protect my mother? Should I reach

- 1:19:18Speaker 3: What?
- 1:19:20Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm not even doing that. I'm just jaywalking what
- 1:19:23Speaker 12: I'm doing. That's a minor crime right there? We're gonna
- 1:19:27Speaker 12: do that, you're not, but we're not getting matching tattoos?
- 1:19:29Speaker 14: But what if you leave me?
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: You're answer my call? My phone call?
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:19:32Speaker 14: I got that tattoo with your name on it?
- 1:19:36Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:19:37Speaker 15: Would you rather skinny dip in the ocean or would
- 1:19:40Speaker 15: you rather skinny dip in the lake?
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: Either way? Something bound?
- 1:19:50Speaker 15: All right, guys, that's today's rounded. Would you rather coming
- 1:19:55Speaker 15: up in forty nine minutes after the hour, our last
- 1:19:58Speaker 15: break of the day will close out.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: The So with some remarks from the one and only
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:20:04Speaker 11: You're listening to Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:07Speaker 15: All right, Steve, so it's time take us home with
- 1:20:10Speaker 15: some closing remarks.
- 1:20:11Speaker 13: Please.
- 1:20:12Speaker 9: You know what again, I like to use things that
- 1:20:17Speaker 9: are happening to me in my life to encourage people
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: that might be going through some of the same things
- 1:20:24Speaker 9: in theirs. It's just a couple of piece of encouragements
- 1:20:27Speaker 9: I got this week. So many people have reached out
- 1:20:31Speaker 9: to me man given me love. It's far aways anything
- 1:20:35Speaker 9: else that's going on in my life. I'm actually surrounded
- 1:20:40Speaker 9: by a lot of love and prayers, and I'm actually
- 1:20:44Speaker 9: actually really not even privy to a lot of the
- 1:20:48Speaker 9: swirl that goes around me. Like I was saying the
- 1:20:51Speaker 9: other day, God's peace keeps me in the center of
- 1:20:54Speaker 9: the hurricane, and I do understand that there's a swirl
- 1:20:58Speaker 9: going on out there, but it's none of my business.
- 1:21:02Speaker 9: I can't stop the swirl, but I cannot participate in
- 1:21:07Speaker 9: the swirld And by neither participating in it nor acknowledging it,
- 1:21:12Speaker 9: it has it has no room with me. If you
- 1:21:15Speaker 9: stay the center of the hurricane and the swirl is
- 1:21:18Speaker 9: going around you, if you gonna stay, if you don't
- 1:21:21Speaker 9: step out into the swirl, you stay in the center.
- 1:21:24Speaker 9: It's peaceful in the eye the hurricane. The problem is
- 1:21:27Speaker 9: when you get caught up in the swirld. A couple
- 1:21:30Speaker 9: of people sent me something. I'm gonna share a couple
- 1:21:32Speaker 9: of them with you.
- 1:21:35Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:21:35Speaker 9: You talk about people in your life that you need
- 1:21:38Speaker 9: to kind of get rid of. Somebody sent this to me, says,
- 1:21:41Speaker 9: sometimes people have to be escorted out of the VIP
- 1:21:46Speaker 9: section in your life and you just have to put them.
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: In regular seats.
- 1:21:53Speaker 9: Sometimes people have to be escorted out the VIP section
- 1:21:58Speaker 9: of your life and.
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: You just have to put them in some regular seats.
- 1:22:03Speaker 9: Sometimes we place too much importance on people, period and
- 1:22:09Speaker 9: we give so much people so much importance that they
- 1:22:13Speaker 9: now have a say so, they have authority, they got ruled,
- 1:22:16Speaker 9: they get comfortable. All of a sudden, they in a
- 1:22:19Speaker 9: position and they don't even really mean us no good.
- 1:22:22Speaker 9: So now here they are they in your life? You
- 1:22:25Speaker 9: done gave them permission to sit in the VIP section,
- 1:22:28Speaker 9: But you know, sometimes you need to escort them out.
- 1:22:31Speaker 9: You say, you know what, You're no longer welcome in
- 1:22:33Speaker 9: the VIP section. You could take a seat right over here.
- 1:22:36Speaker 9: Those are the only seats that's available. I got the
- 1:22:39Speaker 9: view ain't that good from over here, But those are
- 1:22:41Speaker 9: the only seats that's available in my arena. As a
- 1:22:45Speaker 9: matter of fact, security, could you escort them out?
- 1:22:49Speaker 7: Please?
- 1:22:51Speaker 9: See what I don't do is but I can't stop
- 1:22:54Speaker 9: some people. I just I let people sit up in
- 1:22:57Speaker 9: the stands and say what they want to say, because
- 1:23:00Speaker 9: they're not on my.
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: Stage in my life. You're not on the same stage
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: I'm on.
- 1:23:06Speaker 9: So why do I allow your insults from in back
- 1:23:09Speaker 9: of the room that I can't hardly nobody here but
- 1:23:12Speaker 9: you and your little fourteen followers.
- 1:23:15Speaker 6: So I've learned that that the credit.
- 1:23:18Speaker 9: Belongs to the man who is actually in the arena,
- 1:23:22Speaker 9: whose face is marred with dust, blood, sweating tears, not
- 1:23:27Speaker 9: to those cold and timid souls in the stands who
- 1:23:30Speaker 9: know neither.
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: Victory nor defeat. I live like that, all right.
- 1:23:36Speaker 9: Next thing I'm gonna share with you, I'm gonna share
- 1:23:39Speaker 9: with you something about somebody told me about trusting in God.
- 1:23:44Speaker 9: And this is what they sent me. And this is
- 1:23:47Speaker 9: really nice, and it says I ask for strength and
- 1:23:54Speaker 9: God gave me difficulties to make me strong. Asked for
- 1:24:00Speaker 9: wisdom and God gave me problems to solve. I asked
- 1:24:07Speaker 9: for prosperity and God gave me brain and brawn to work.
- 1:24:15Speaker 9: I asked for courage, and God gave me danger to overcome.
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: I asked for love and God gave me trouble people
- 1:24:27Speaker 9: to help. I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities.
- 1:24:37Speaker 9: I've received nothing I wanted. I received everything I needed.
- 1:24:46Speaker 6: Trust in God.
- 1:24:49Speaker 9: Do you know how rich those words were to me
- 1:24:52Speaker 9: today that someone sent to me, Because what that says
- 1:24:57Speaker 9: to me was Steve, you gotta trust process.
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: I don't care how it looks what you're asking for.
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: God is working on on your behalf. Now. It might
- 1:25:11Speaker 6: not look that good to some people. It might not
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: even look that good to you.
- 1:25:16Speaker 9: I would imagine those on the outside looking in this
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: look kind of crazy.
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: But you have no idea the way God is working.
- 1:25:25Speaker 9: So when you ask God for strength and then God
- 1:25:28Speaker 9: give you a bunch of difficulties, guess what to make
- 1:25:30Speaker 9: you stronger? So you ask God for wisdom, and God
- 1:25:34Speaker 9: give you problems to solve. You asking for prosperity, God
- 1:25:39Speaker 9: give you a brain and some broad.
- 1:25:40Speaker 6: To go to work.
- 1:25:41Speaker 9: I asked for courage, and God gave me danger to overcome.
- 1:25:46Speaker 9: I asked for love, and God turned around and gave
- 1:25:48Speaker 9: me troubled people to hell.
- 1:25:50Speaker 13: What is his?
- 1:25:51Speaker 9: I asked for favors, and God turn around give me opportunities.
- 1:25:55Speaker 9: I've received nothing I wanted, but I received everything I needed.
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: You got to trust in God, man. You got to
- 1:26:05Speaker 6: trust in the process. Y'all.
- 1:26:07Speaker 9: We are all in the middle of the process. We
- 1:26:11Speaker 9: being processed. God ain't through with none of us. God
- 1:26:15Speaker 9: ain't through with you yet. Do you know if God
- 1:26:17Speaker 9: was through with you that you wouldn't wake up in
- 1:26:19Speaker 9: the morning. But as long as you're waking up, you
- 1:26:21Speaker 9: have to put a smile on your face because I mean,
- 1:26:23Speaker 9: He ain't through with us.
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:26:26Speaker 9: God is processing us. We all in the process. You
- 1:26:30Speaker 9: got to trust the process that God know what he's doing.
- 1:26:34Speaker 9: I'm over here grinning because of that. Cool because guess what,
- 1:26:38Speaker 9: I know. He working on my behalf. You know why,
- 1:26:41Speaker 9: because he processing me. You know why he processes me
- 1:26:43Speaker 9: because He ain't through with me yet. He ain't through
- 1:26:45Speaker 9: with you either. Those are my clothesing remarks. Thank y'all
- 1:26:48Speaker 9: for listening. Thank you see you the mother.
