Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Calling Trump a ‘Threat’ Wasn’t Rhetoric — It 'is' the Democrat Playbook
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:00Speaker 2: For years now, Democrats have made one thing crystal clear.
- 0:05Speaker 2: They do not just oppose Donald Trump politically. They believe
- 0:09Speaker 2: he represents a fundamental threat to the country itself. That's
- 0:13Speaker 2: part of the reason why they've said over and over
- 0:16Speaker 2: again that they want to put Donald Trump in prison.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Well now they're running off the issue we're now being
- 0:23Speaker 2: told in the midterm elections. And by the way, this
- 0:27Speaker 2: has been years in the making. Just remember what Kamala
- 0:30Speaker 2: Harris said. She said that Donald Trump was an existential
- 0:33Speaker 2: threat to the United States of America. Joe Biden and
- 0:37Speaker 2: the Democratic Party have gone even further, describing Trump as
- 0:41Speaker 2: an exidential threat to all of us and again our
- 0:45Speaker 2: democracy their favorite word. Now, when you think about wording
- 0:49Speaker 2: existential threat, that means, in their view, not just wrong,
- 0:54Speaker 2: but dangerous to the survival of the system itself. And
- 0:57Speaker 2: that's true when it comes to the Democratic Party. Donald
- 1:00Speaker 2: Trump is a threat to their system. Now, Democrats in
- 1:04Speaker 2: the House and beneath the top leadership, they've used even
- 1:08Speaker 2: more blunt words. Alyssa Slogan warned in an official Democratic response,
- 1:14Speaker 2: the democracy is at risk if Trump's actions go unchecked.
- 1:20Speaker 1: At rallies across the country.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Over the weekend, you know, the No King's rallies, You
- 1:24Speaker 2: had prominent democrats and activists echoing the same message, framing
- 1:29Speaker 2: Trump is a danger to the republic and warning about
- 1:32Speaker 2: authoritarianism and threats to again their favorite new word to
- 1:36Speaker 2: love democracy. Well, now we're learning what they actually want
- 1:41Speaker 2: to do when it comes to if they gain power back,
- 1:45Speaker 2: if Democrats take the House. We learn now from the
- 1:48Speaker 2: No King's rallies in their own words, that they are
- 1:52Speaker 2: laying the groundwork for law fare because if Trump is
- 1:57Speaker 2: quote a threat to democracy, an existential threat, someone putting
- 2:01Speaker 2: the system at risk, that in their minds, aggressive investigations
- 2:05Speaker 2: aren't political, they're necessary. That's what they said over the weekend.
- 2:11Speaker 2: What does that actually mean. Number one, relentless investigations in
- 2:15Speaker 2: a Donald Trump and the people around him, his inner
- 2:19Speaker 2: circle now not just oversight, but their mission, they say,
- 2:23Speaker 2: would be to dismantle and politically weaken what they view
- 2:28Speaker 2: as a dangerous movement, meaning who the American people chose
- 2:32Speaker 2: to be their president. The Democrats also said over the
- 2:36Speaker 2: weekend very clearly that if they went back the House,
- 2:40Speaker 2: they will expand their probes into federal agencies. They say,
- 2:44Speaker 2: especially around quote elections, the Department of Justice actions under
- 2:49Speaker 2: Trump's leadership and executive authority, all because Democrats have already
- 2:54Speaker 2: signaled concerns about democratic norms being undermined, even though they're
- 2:58Speaker 2: the king pins of doing massive amounts of executive orders
- 3:03Speaker 2: when Joe Biden was president. Now we also have to
- 3:06Speaker 2: talk about who they're going to target. We have now
- 3:09Speaker 2: learned that Democrats aren't just going to target their political adversaries.
- 3:13Speaker 2: They want to target corporations and anyone they believe was
- 3:17Speaker 2: an ally to President Donald Trump or conservatives. If they
- 3:22Speaker 2: believe Trump's policies threatened democracy. They now say that companies
- 3:26Speaker 2: tied to those policies will become part of their investigation.
- 3:32Speaker 2: They also want to take they say, big action towards
- 3:35Speaker 2: big tech and AI. Their framing as protecting you from misinformation,
- 3:41Speaker 2: election interference, and the algorithm influence, but in reality, they
- 3:46Speaker 2: want to go back to total control of AI and
- 3:49Speaker 2: social media, just like we witness under Joe Biden and
- 3:53Speaker 2: Barack Obama's time in office. You know when they were
- 3:56Speaker 2: sending lists of people they went to silence or shut
- 3:59Speaker 2: down on on Twitter, on Instagram, it was a conservative
- 4:03Speaker 2: hit list of anyone they wanted to silence. Now under
- 4:06Speaker 2: the justification, of course, of combating threats to democracy, they
- 4:10Speaker 2: want social media to crack down even more on individuals
- 4:15Speaker 2: they say shouldn't have free speech and should have their
- 4:19Speaker 2: content moderated by these social media platforms. There's no reason
- 4:23Speaker 2: to believe, by the way, that big Tech wouldn't go
- 4:25Speaker 2: back to exactly what they did before, going after any
- 4:29Speaker 2: person the Democrat or a member of Congress or a
- 4:32Speaker 2: governor sends them that there's a conservative that is getting
- 4:35Speaker 2: too big or too powerful online that they want a silence.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And here's the reality. When Democrats say Trump is just wrong,
- 4:44Speaker 2: that's politics. When they say the threat to democracy, that
- 4:48Speaker 2: is something entirely different. Because once you cross that line,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and they've crossed it, you are no longer debating policy.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You are now justifying using governm tools, government power, government
- 5:03Speaker 2: legal systems to stop someone you believe is dangerous because
- 5:08Speaker 2: you don't like them. And that's why the twenty sixteen
- 5:13Speaker 2: election was so shocking for Democrats, how quickly they decided
- 5:17Speaker 2: to weaponize the government to go after Donald Trump, to
- 5:21Speaker 2: overthrow the will of the people. The scary part is
- 5:24Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six, ten years later, that's exactly the
- 5:28Speaker 2: same playbook Democrats are going to use this time, because
- 5:32Speaker 2: if the Democrats win, they won't just claim a mandate
- 5:35Speaker 2: to govern. We now know they'll claim a mandate to investigate,
- 5:40Speaker 2: a mandate to subpoena, a mandate to go after what
- 5:44Speaker 2: they've already defined is a threat to the country itself.
- 5:48Speaker 1: So when you step back and look.
- 5:50Speaker 2: At everything we just laid out tonight, the rhetoric, the warnings,
- 5:55Speaker 2: the language Democrats are using, you start to understand what's
- 5:59Speaker 2: really This isn't just about oversight, this isn't about subpoenas,
- 6:04Speaker 2: and this is definitely not just about accountability. This is
- 6:08Speaker 2: about the weaponization of our government, putting it on steroids
- 6:12Speaker 2: what they did in twenty twenty, in twenty sixteen, And
- 6:16Speaker 2: because when one party repeatedly tells the American people that
- 6:20Speaker 2: a former president and anyone that supported him, anyone involved
- 6:24Speaker 2: in the movement, anyone that supported him on election day,
- 6:28Speaker 2: is a threat, an existential threat to democracy, that changes
- 6:32Speaker 2: the entire ballgame.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That's not just politics anymore.
- 6:36Speaker 2: That's justification, justification for aggressive, overreaching investigations, something they've already
- 6:44Speaker 2: done before. It's justification for endless subpoenas, something they've already
- 6:49Speaker 2: done before in the Democratic Party towards Donald Trump and
- 6:52Speaker 2: anyone around him. The justification for dragging people into hearings again,
- 6:57Speaker 2: something that Democrats have already done before, seeing testimony and
- 7:01Speaker 2: putting targets on the backs of anyone connected to an
- 7:04Speaker 2: agenda or a person or an individual they oppose. And
- 7:10Speaker 2: history tells us something very important. When politicians convince themselves
- 7:14Speaker 2: they are saving democracy, they will push the limits of
- 7:18Speaker 2: power to do it. So don't think for a second
- 7:22Speaker 2: that this would be a normal return to divide a government.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I want to be clear. The no King's rally proved
- 7:29Speaker 2: one thing. It's this, It won't be. It is a
- 7:32Speaker 2: green light. That's what they're asking for. A green light
- 7:36Speaker 2: for committee chairs to launch investigations and then more investigations,
- 7:41Speaker 2: and then more investigations into any conservative, Christian or Trump supporter.
- 7:47Speaker 2: It's a green light to go after every administration official.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It's a green light to go after private companies that
- 7:54Speaker 2: donate to Donald Trump or that are conservative minded. It's
- 7:58Speaker 2: a green light to go after tech leaders and force
- 8:01Speaker 2: them back into submission where they will do whatever the
- 8:04Speaker 2: Democratic Party says, including silencing Americans, and it's a green
- 8:09Speaker 2: light to go after political allies of the president of
- 8:12Speaker 2: the United States of America. I would be one of those.
- 8:15Speaker 2: By the way, this green light is to dominate the
- 8:19Speaker 2: headlines with one goal in mind, stop Trump, weaken the movement,
- 8:23Speaker 2: reshape the political battlefield heading into the presidential elections in
- 8:27Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight. And here's the part that matters most
- 8:30Speaker 2: for every single person listening right now. This doesn't stay
- 8:34Speaker 2: in Washington because when government turns its focus towards investigations
- 8:38Speaker 2: at this scale, it will impact the economy, It will
- 8:42Speaker 2: impact the stability of multiple businesses, it will impact the
- 8:47Speaker 2: future of innovation and the tone of political speech in
- 8:51Speaker 2: this country as well, because when subpoenas start flying for
- 8:54Speaker 2: no reason, when it's law fair, people don't just get questioned,
- 8:58Speaker 2: They get cautious, they get quiet, and in some cases
- 9:01Speaker 2: they get pushed out. So as an American, the choice
- 9:05Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six is actually bigger than just control
- 9:08Speaker 2: of the House. It's about what kind of country we're
- 9:10Speaker 2: going to be. Are we going to be a country
- 9:12Speaker 2: where elections settle debates or a country where elections trigger investigations?
- 9:18Speaker 2: Are we going to move forward are we going to
- 9:21Speaker 2: spend years locked in political trench warfare where one side
- 9:24Speaker 2: uses every tool it can to go after the other.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Because the Democrats, they made it clear over the weekend,
- 9:31Speaker 2: the warning signs are here. They told us what they're
- 9:34Speaker 2: going to do. Believe them. They've told you what to fear.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Believe them. And if they win, they've told you exactly
- 9:42Speaker 2: what they're prepared to do to all of us. And
- 9:45Speaker 2: that's exactly why it's so important that walking away from
- 9:48Speaker 2: these No King rallies, you understand exactly what they were
- 9:52Speaker 2: calling for. The Trump administration wants the Senate to ditch
- 9:58Speaker 2: their recess oh over the shutdown and get back to
- 10:01Speaker 2: the work of the American people. President Trump calling out
- 10:05Speaker 2: the Senate and saying it's time to return.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Into your job.
- 10:10Speaker 2: As the Department of Homeland Security shutdown continues with no
- 10:13Speaker 2: end insight, the President is also encouraging Congress to come
- 10:17Speaker 2: back to Washington to permanently fix this problem and to
- 10:20Speaker 2: fund and reopen the Department of Homeland Security entirely. That
- 10:25Speaker 2: is what the White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said
- 10:27Speaker 2: at the press briefing. I want you to take a
- 10:30Speaker 2: listen to part of what she had to say at
- 10:32Speaker 2: the White House.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Overall morale among TSA staff plummeted as well, all of
- 10:37Speaker 3: this creating an unacceptable heightened security risk because of the
- 10:41Speaker 3: Democrats unwillingness to do their basic job of funding DHS.
- 10:45Speaker 3: President Trump determined that the circumstances constituted an emergency compromising
- 10:50Speaker 3: American security. That's why last week he accordingly signed a
- 10:54Speaker 3: presidential memorandum directing the Secretary of Homeland Security to work
- 10:59Speaker 3: with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget
- 11:01Speaker 3: here at the White House to use those funds with
- 11:04Speaker 3: a reagionable and reasonable and logical nexus to TSA operations
- 11:08Speaker 3: to provide TSA employees with the compensation and benefits that
- 11:12Speaker 3: would have accrued to them but for the Democrat led
- 11:16Speaker 3: DHS shutdown. This bold and necessary action by President Trump
- 11:20Speaker 3: will ensure our TSA workers receive their hard earned paychecks.
- 11:24Speaker 3: It should not have come to this point, but President
- 11:26Speaker 3: Trump will always do what's right by the American people,
- 11:29Speaker 3: and he found a way to do that to get
- 11:31Speaker 3: TSA paid. Ensuring that these federal workers who perform critical
- 11:35Speaker 3: public safety responsibilities, can feed their families, pay their rent,
- 11:39Speaker 3: and show up to work is something the President was
- 11:41Speaker 3: honored to do. But this moment should be an eye
- 11:44Speaker 3: opening one for the American people. Let's be clear about
- 11:47Speaker 3: what is happening. Democrat members of Congress are more than
- 11:51Speaker 3: happy to put your safety at risk because they oppose
- 11:54Speaker 3: the President's administered in his administration's efforts to enforce our
- 11:58Speaker 3: nation's immigration law. Democrats refuse to fund ICE because they
- 12:02Speaker 3: want millions and millions of illegal aliens to pour into
- 12:05Speaker 3: the country just like they were under the Biden administration.
- 12:09Speaker 3: They want murderers and rapists and thugs to remain in
- 12:12Speaker 3: your communities rather than be removed by ICE and border
- 12:15Speaker 3: patrol agents. The Democrats created this mess. They are the
- 12:19Speaker 3: reason for long lines at airports and tens of thousands
- 12:22Speaker 3: of employees going without pay. Once again, President Trump is
- 12:26Speaker 3: cleaning up their mess because he cares more about the
- 12:28Speaker 3: American people than destructive, petty partisan politics.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Now, President Trump recently signed an executive order to pay
- 12:36Speaker 2: Transportation Security Administration employees who had gone without paychecks since
- 12:41Speaker 2: the shutdown began in mid February, but Levitt said that
- 12:46Speaker 2: was not the answer. Quote, the President just can't keep
- 12:49Speaker 2: signing presidential memorandums and proclamations every time Congress fails to
- 12:54Speaker 2: do their job.
- 12:55Speaker 1: She's absolutely right about that.
- 12:57Speaker 2: One, Carolyn Levitt said, Democrats are holding our entire country hostage.
- 13:02Speaker 1: That is also a fact.
- 13:04Speaker 2: They're picking and choosing which programs and agencies they want
- 13:07Speaker 2: a fund just because they don't like the administration's policies.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And that's not how Congress is supposed to work, or
- 13:13Speaker 2: how funding is supposed to work.
- 13:15Speaker 1: For that matter.
- 13:16Speaker 2: They voted several times against funding DHS over partisan and
- 13:19Speaker 2: political reasons. That is part of the reason why we
- 13:22Speaker 2: have the shutdown right now. And over the weekend, things
- 13:26Speaker 2: got even a little stickier when House Republicans rejected a
- 13:29Speaker 2: bipartisan Senate deal to temporarily fund THEHS and instead past
- 13:35Speaker 2: their own funding measure late Friday, extending a week's long
- 13:39Speaker 2: budget standoff that has disrupted travel for so many Americans.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Now, before I get into more of what the House
- 13:47Speaker 1: bill says, let.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Me talk to you real quick about our incredible friends
- 13:51Speaker 2: that I want you to get involved with, called Patriot
- 13:54Speaker 2: Mobile and the amazing work they're doing to stand up
- 13:57Speaker 2: for all of our values. All right, so let's get
- 14:00Speaker 2: back to the funding here for a second. The stopgap
- 14:02Speaker 2: bill which proposed funding DHS in full for eight weeks.
- 14:07Speaker 2: That actually passed two thirteen to two oh three after
- 14:10Speaker 2: Republicans in the lower chamber refused to take up a
- 14:14Speaker 2: Senate pass deal that excluded money from Immigration and Customs
- 14:18Speaker 2: enforcements and custom and Border protection.
- 14:21Speaker 1: A funding measure.
- 14:22Speaker 2: That locks in the status quo is dead on arrival
- 14:26Speaker 2: in the Senate, and Republicans know it. That's what Senate
- 14:29Speaker 2: Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement, saying, quote,
- 14:33Speaker 2: Democrats will fund critical homeland security functions, but we will
- 14:38Speaker 2: not give a blank check to Trump's lawless and deadly
- 14:41Speaker 2: immigration militia without reforms. To be clear, that would be
- 14:46Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer saying that ICE agents are deadly militia members,
- 14:51Speaker 2: not members of our government that we should be proud
- 14:54Speaker 2: of now. The late night vote came after Speaker of
- 14:57Speaker 2: the House Mike Johnson called the earlier Bypart and Senate
- 15:00Speaker 2: bill a joke for withholding money for the agencies responsible
- 15:05Speaker 2: for carrying out Trump's deportation policies. The Senate immediately went
- 15:10Speaker 2: on a two week recess after voting to fund DHS,
- 15:14Speaker 2: and that is where President Trump has come back in saying,
- 15:18Speaker 2: what are you doing. It's time to get back to work.
- 15:21Speaker 2: There is a difference between these two individual bodies, There's
- 15:25Speaker 2: no doubt about it. Democrats are also celebrating this. There's
- 15:30Speaker 2: also some members of Congress who are so angry about this.
- 15:33Speaker 2: They're saying, we shouldn't get paid GOP Representative Cammick and
- 15:39Speaker 2: I want you to hear what she had to say
- 15:40Speaker 2: on Fox News Channel with Harris Faugner.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Come in a cat Cammick, Republican of the Great State
- 15:45Speaker 4: of Florida, member of the Energy and Commerce and Agricultural Committees.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Great to see you today. Let's just get to the
- 15:51Speaker 4: browse tax and please don't be offended by this, but
- 15:54Speaker 4: you'll have all of our money. And the fact that
- 15:57Speaker 4: Democrats have now gotten to the point where they are
- 16:00Speaker 4: just dysfunctional. They can't pick us first any of that.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Is it time to start cutting paychecks now?
- 16:06Speaker 5: Absolutely, it needs to start with the senators. They should
- 16:10Speaker 5: not be collecting a paycheck which members of Congress, both
- 16:13Speaker 5: the House and Senate, get paid on a monthly basis,
- 16:15Speaker 5: and their check is deposited in the last few days
- 16:18Speaker 5: of the month. They right now are collecting a paycheck
- 16:21Speaker 5: while our hardworking men of Homeland Security, from FEMA, Coastguard,
- 16:25Speaker 5: DHS collectively, and of course TSA. They are not getting
- 16:29Speaker 5: paid now. To your point, Harris, yes, we do have
- 16:32Speaker 5: a literacy crisis in this country. But for Pete's sakes,
- 16:35Speaker 5: I wish that the Democrats and the Senate would stop
- 16:38Speaker 5: treating us all like we are morons. We can read,
- 16:42Speaker 5: and if they were to read the bill they sent
- 16:44Speaker 5: over to us, they wanted to withhold the paychecks of
- 16:48Speaker 5: ICE of CBP Homeland Security Investigations, which investigates sex crimes
- 16:54Speaker 5: against children. These folks are out to play politics with
- 16:58Speaker 5: people's lives and it's disgusting. They should not be getting paid,
- 17:01Speaker 5: certainly not while there are other people who are sleeping
- 17:04Speaker 5: in their cars and missing paychecks and really scrambling for
- 17:08Speaker 5: everything that they can do to survive.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Now, as Republicans are trying to figure all of this out,
- 17:14Speaker 2: and I agree, those members of Congress should not get
- 17:16Speaker 2: paid while this is happening. The Democrats are trying to
- 17:20Speaker 2: figure out how.
- 17:20Speaker 1: To spend this.
- 17:21Speaker 2: ABC News is Jonathan Carl on Sunday Morning this week,
- 17:25Speaker 2: asked this question to Sener Van Holland about what did
- 17:29Speaker 2: the Democrats really get out of this? And I want
- 17:31Speaker 2: to listen carefully to his answer and.
- 17:33Speaker 6: Is he going to now use it?
- 17:35Speaker 7: So when the Senate passed that bill, and there was
- 17:38Speaker 7: that brief moment that looks like you know, dawn had broken,
- 17:42Speaker 7: you put out a statement saying that Republicans had quote
- 17:45Speaker 7: finally relented. What did Democrats get out of this? Even
- 17:49Speaker 7: if that passed?
- 17:50Speaker 1: What did you get out of this?
- 17:51Speaker 7: This DHS shutdown's going on for well over a month.
- 17:54Speaker 1: What have you gotten for it?
- 17:56Speaker 6: Well, the issue here, John, is we let people know
- 18:00Speaker 6: number one, that we want to fully fund TSA. We
- 18:03Speaker 6: could get rid of these lines at the airports immediately,
- 18:06Speaker 6: but we also made clear that we're going to demand
- 18:10Speaker 6: reforms of a lawless ICE operation. After allsh agents killed
- 18:16Speaker 6: two American citizens in Minneapolis.
- 18:19Speaker 2: So there it is yet again what you have as
- 18:22Speaker 2: Democrats saying Ice is evil, the Ice of the Gestapo,
- 18:26Speaker 2: ICE's murderers, Ice are the worst among us. They're not
- 18:30Speaker 2: backing down from that talking point. And if that means
- 18:33Speaker 2: shutting down our government or having you waiting four or
- 18:36Speaker 2: five hour lines at the airport, and if that means
- 18:39Speaker 2: they think they're getting closer to their victory of defunding
- 18:42Speaker 2: or dehumanizing Ice.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Clearly they're willing to do it.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You may remember that Michigan synagogue attack that happened. We
- 18:54Speaker 2: now know that that individual was a Hesblah inspired active terrorism.
- 19:00Speaker 2: That synagogue attacker was actually the brother of a hes
- 19:05Speaker 2: Blah commander. We're now learning from Israel and the FBI
- 19:09Speaker 2: is confirming that that Michigan synagogue attacked her was yes,
- 19:13Speaker 2: a terrorist. So all the dots are being connected. So
- 19:17Speaker 2: why is the media not talking about this? For that
- 19:20Speaker 2: exact reason. I just explained to you, Senator Cruz, and
- 19:23Speaker 2: I broke it down even more and I want you
- 19:25Speaker 2: to hear what he had to say.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Take a listen, all.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Right, Senator, So let's get to this first big story here,
- 19:31Speaker 2: and this is one of the ones that concerns me
- 19:35Speaker 2: so much about what is happening in this country right now.
- 19:38Speaker 2: We've also seen this happen in Europe, and we are
- 19:41Speaker 2: now seeing that there are more attacks. We're seeing churches
- 19:44Speaker 2: that are being burned around the world, and we're now
- 19:46Speaker 2: seeing this synagogue attacker that attacked on behalf of hes Blah.
- 19:52Speaker 2: It happened right here in Michigan. We know a lot
- 19:55Speaker 2: more now than we did before.
- 19:56Speaker 8: Yeah, you remember when this story broke, when the man
- 19:59Speaker 8: drove his truck into the synagogue that was also a school.
- 20:03Speaker 8: There were over one hundred kids there. He was trying
- 20:05Speaker 8: to kill as many young children as he could, and
- 20:08Speaker 8: the media coverage they referred to him as Michigan Man.
- 20:12Speaker 8: It was reminiscent of Maryland Man, the guy who was
- 20:15Speaker 8: MS thirteen gang banger and human trafficker. That was just
- 20:18Speaker 8: a Maryland man who for some reason was deported. No
- 20:21Speaker 8: one could imagine why. Well, here it was Michigan Man,
- 20:24Speaker 8: and then they had all this sympathetic coverage. Michigan Man
- 20:28Speaker 8: was upset that his brother had been killed in the
- 20:30Speaker 8: Middle East. What they didn't mention is his brother was
- 20:33Speaker 8: a commander for Hesbela, and so he was a terrorist.
- 20:37Speaker 8: So hesbela terrorist in America unhappy that a different Hesbela
- 20:42Speaker 8: terrorist had been killed, and so he tried to kill
- 20:45Speaker 8: as many children, as many Jews as possible. Here are
- 20:48Speaker 8: the details the attack earlier this month. This is from
- 20:52Speaker 8: CNN on a synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan, was a
- 20:55Speaker 8: quote Hesbela inspired act of terrorism purposely to targeting the
- 21:00Speaker 8: Jewish community and the largest Jewish temple in Michigan, The
- 21:04Speaker 8: FBI said a news conference on Monday. The assailant, I'man Ghazali,
- 21:09Speaker 8: was a naturalized US citizen from Lebanon's now put a
- 21:13Speaker 8: pin in that that we need to change our vetting
- 21:16Speaker 8: for naturalized citizens. He rammed a pickup truck into the
- 21:21Speaker 8: synagogue on March twelfth, as more than one hundred children
- 21:26Speaker 8: were attending school inside. After waiting in the synagogue's parking
- 21:30Speaker 8: lot for more than two hours, authority said, Gazali drove
- 21:33Speaker 8: the truck far into the building, hitting a security officer
- 21:36Speaker 8: before the vehicle became wedged in a hallway. Security officers
- 21:41Speaker 8: for the synagogue began changing gunfire with Ghazali, who eventually
- 21:45Speaker 8: shot and killed himself inside the truck. During the chaos,
- 21:49Speaker 8: the truck's engine compartment caught fire and caused extension extensive
- 21:54Speaker 8: damage to the building. The truck was filled with over
- 21:58Speaker 8: two thousand dollars of commercial grade fireworks and about thirty
- 22:03Speaker 8: five gallons of gasoline, which he used to enhance the explosion.
- 22:09Speaker 8: No one else was killed. One of the temple's lead
- 22:12Speaker 8: security officers was injured after being hit by the vehicle.
- 22:16Speaker 8: Had he lived, he would have been charged with providing
- 22:18Speaker 8: material support to Hesbela, the Iranian backed terrorist group in Lebanon,
- 22:23Speaker 8: said Jerome Gorgon, the US attorney for the Eastern District
- 22:25Speaker 8: of Michigan. Gorgan added that Gazali was inspired by Hesbelon
- 22:31Speaker 8: propaganda to carry out the attack. Quote, this man acted
- 22:36Speaker 8: under Hesbola's direction and control. He intended to kill others,
- 22:41Speaker 8: not just himself. In the days after the attack, US
- 22:45Speaker 8: official said Gazali was located in federal government databases as
- 22:48Speaker 8: having connections to quote known or suspected terrorists associated with HESBLA.
- 22:55Speaker 8: Stopped there for a second, so they searched the databases.
- 22:57Speaker 8: The databases showed that he had connected to known or
- 23:00Speaker 8: suspected terrorists. Then why the hell was this guy let
- 23:03Speaker 8: in the country in the first place. Why did they
- 23:05Speaker 8: allow him in? Why did they naturalize them as a citizen.
- 23:07Speaker 8: I have a feeling that information in the databases didn't
- 23:10Speaker 8: magically appear in the last fifteen months. It's been there
- 23:13Speaker 8: a long time. It's just prior administrations didn't care. We
- 23:17Speaker 8: didn't get to the bottom of that. A week prior
- 23:20Speaker 8: to the attack, members of Gazali's family in Lebanon, including
- 23:24Speaker 8: two brothers, were killed in an Israeli airstrike as the
- 23:27Speaker 8: US and Israel entered its second week of conflict with Iran.
- 23:31Speaker 8: Now this is where the media clutched their pearls. Well,
- 23:33Speaker 8: his brother was killed, so naturally, when your brothers killed,
- 23:36Speaker 8: what you do is try to murder a hundred kids.
- 23:38Speaker 8: That's the normal reaction to that. But then here's the
- 23:42Speaker 8: killer paragraph that follows, the Israeli. Israeli military said one
- 23:47Speaker 8: of the brothers, Ibrahim Muhammad Ghazali, was a Hesbola commander
- 23:52Speaker 8: in charge of managing weapons operations in the raigning proxy
- 23:56Speaker 8: groups botter Unitzali began planning for the attack days earlier,
- 24:02Speaker 8: so the FBI said, with his plans intensifying on March ninth.
- 24:07Speaker 8: A review of Gazali's online activity dating to January. January
- 24:12Speaker 8: was before the war in Iran started, showed repeated searches
- 24:17Speaker 8: for pro Hesbela and Iranian news outlets, as well as
- 24:20Speaker 8: videos related to gunfire and ammunition. Beginning March ninth, FBI
- 24:24Speaker 8: said he closely followed speeches in live coverage involving hesbelas
- 24:28Speaker 8: Secretary Terry General Naim Kassem, along with reporting about an
- 24:33Speaker 8: Iranian fatwah, a religious ruling concerning Islamic law calling for
- 24:39Speaker 8: total jihad against the US military. He also researched Jewish
- 24:43Speaker 8: cultural education and religious centers throughout the Detroit metro area,
- 24:48Speaker 8: viewing multiple pages of upcoming events at Temple Israel, and
- 24:52Speaker 8: searched specific terms and phrases such as quote the largest
- 24:57Speaker 8: gathering of Israelis in Michigan Orthodox synagogues and Israeli's near me.
- 25:04Speaker 8: That day, after two people declined to sell them a weapon,
- 25:07Speaker 8: Gazzali bought an Ar fifteen style rifle, ten magazines at
- 25:11Speaker 8: about three hundred rounds of ammunition at a gun store
- 25:14Speaker 8: in Dearborn Heights. Runyon said, Now, it's interesting that two
- 25:17Speaker 8: stores declined to sell it to them, and yet the
- 25:19Speaker 8: one in deer Born was willing to. I think that's
- 25:22Speaker 8: something else. You've owned a gun store.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I was gonna say that is a massive red flag.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Like if you turned down somebody, and there's two stores
- 25:30Speaker 2: they clearly like were doing their jobs, by the way
- 25:33Speaker 2: a gun stores, and.
- 25:35Speaker 8: So tell us as someone who has owned a gun store,
- 25:37Speaker 8: like this guy goes in and says, I want to
- 25:39Speaker 8: buy an ar Why would a gun storre say no.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a couple of reasons.
- 25:44Speaker 2: One, you profile and you can see if someone seems
- 25:46Speaker 2: angry or agitated. You can also you're supposed to be
- 25:51Speaker 2: looking to see if an individual you think is doing
- 25:53Speaker 2: a straw purchase, which means they're buying for someone else illegally.
- 25:57Speaker 2: You'll see that happen a lot of times with wives
- 25:59Speaker 2: that will come in their husband would be a felon,
- 26:02Speaker 2: or someone that's disqualified from only a weapon, or a
- 26:04Speaker 2: friend will come in. You'll see people that walk in
- 26:07Speaker 2: the store, they'll look at a gun, they'll take a
- 26:09Speaker 2: picture of it, they'll leave, and then literally thirty seconds later,
- 26:12Speaker 2: a minute later, someone comes in and tries to buy
- 26:14Speaker 2: the exact gun that you just showed to someone else.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Like, there's multiple things that you look for here.
- 26:19Speaker 2: But then there's also conversations if you see that someone
- 26:23Speaker 2: comes in and by the way, if you believe that
- 26:25Speaker 2: they're drunk or high or on some sort.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Of drug, you can refuse.
- 26:29Speaker 2: And if you just have a really bad feeling it's
- 26:31Speaker 2: something doesn't feel right, you can say I'm not going
- 26:34Speaker 2: to sell you a gun, and you have the rise
- 26:36Speaker 2: of store owner to do that. But when you hear
- 26:38Speaker 2: the two gun stores did this and most Yeah, that
- 26:42Speaker 2: says a lot because something there I would love to
- 26:45Speaker 2: see and go back and here because I'm sure there's
- 26:49Speaker 2: going to be an interview.
- 26:50Speaker 1: What was it?
- 26:51Speaker 2: And then where the authorities alerted to this? And yet
- 26:53Speaker 2: a third store was able to sell them the gun.
- 26:55Speaker 2: They didn't check in on that afterwards. That also is
- 26:57Speaker 2: very concerning.
- 26:58Speaker 8: Yeah, the story continue. He practiced shooting the new weapon
- 27:01Speaker 8: the next day and bought the fireworks. An order of
- 27:05Speaker 8: dozens of water containers arrived on the eleventh day before
- 27:08Speaker 8: the attack, and he immediately started filling them with gasoline,
- 27:11Speaker 8: making four trips to gas stations so he would not
- 27:14Speaker 8: arouse suspicion. He also bought two torchlighters, which authorities believed
- 27:18Speaker 8: he used to set his truck on fire. On the
- 27:21Speaker 8: day of the attack, Gazali sent his sister, who authorities
- 27:25Speaker 8: believe lives in Lebanon, numerous videos and messages quote affirming
- 27:30Speaker 8: his Hesbela inspired ideology. Ten minutes before he drove his
- 27:34Speaker 8: truck into the synagogue, Gazali sent his sister two videos
- 27:38Speaker 8: in Arabic indicating that he was at the largest gathering
- 27:41Speaker 8: of Israelis in the state of Michigan, had booby trapped
- 27:45Speaker 8: his car and would forcibly enter and start shooting people.
- 27:48Speaker 8: The FBI said, God willing, I will kill as many
- 27:52Speaker 8: of them as I possibly can. Gazali recorded himself saying,
- 27:55Speaker 8: according to Runyan, look, these are the kind of threats
- 28:00Speaker 8: we're facing. By the way, this podcast covered when the
- 28:04Speaker 8: Iranian fought well went out, and we have covered at
- 28:08Speaker 8: length the radical Islamic terrorists that the Biden administration allowed
- 28:13Speaker 8: to flood into this country and the lack of vetting,
- 28:16Speaker 8: and tragically all of this happened at the same time
- 28:20Speaker 8: we had the Department of Homeland Security shut down because
- 28:23Speaker 8: the Democrats have defunded it. And I'm sorry to say,
- 28:26Speaker 8: this guy is not the last radical Islamic terrorist left
- 28:29Speaker 8: in the country, and yet Senate Democrats do not seem
- 28:33Speaker 8: to care at all.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Well, let's go back in time just a little bit
- 28:36Speaker 2: to remind people this was part of what President Trump
- 28:39Speaker 2: had said we need to do, which was to go
- 28:41Speaker 2: back into vet Can you give an update on that,
- 28:45Speaker 2: And is some of that vetting stop because of DHS
- 28:47Speaker 2: lack of funding and all these fights and the government
- 28:50Speaker 2: shutdowns that have happened.
- 28:52Speaker 8: Well, some of that vetting would be happening at the
- 28:54Speaker 8: State Department, some of it would be happening at DHS,
- 28:57Speaker 8: and so I don't know the status of that ve.
- 29:00Speaker 8: We have not gotten a report. We obviously have a
- 29:03Speaker 8: brand new Secretary of Homeland Security, Mark Wayne Mullen. By
- 29:06Speaker 8: the way, I will point out, every Democrat but two
- 29:09Speaker 8: voted against confirming him. So their position is they don't
- 29:12Speaker 8: want a secretary of DHS. And by the way, they
- 29:14Speaker 8: all like Mark Wayne. He was a colleague in the Senate.
- 29:17Speaker 8: They knew him, he was well liked on both sides
- 29:19Speaker 8: of the island. Was not personal. They wouldn't vote to
- 29:22Speaker 8: confirm it bugs Bunny as head of DHS. Their party
- 29:27Speaker 8: is the open borders party. Anyone who has focused on
- 29:31Speaker 8: securing the border Today's Democrats oppose.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Make sure you share this podcast with your family and friends,
- 29:37Speaker 2: put it up on social media wherever you are, and
- 29:40Speaker 2: we appreciate you listening every day.
- 29:41Speaker 1: We'll see you back here tomorrow.
