- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join by join me in doing me. Honey,
- 0:58Speaker 1: you gotta turn you, you gotta turn the turnhow you
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out? Then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go? Come, come on your back, I said, ah,
- 2:03Speaker 1: I show will, Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:08Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got the radio show. I feel it's necessary to explain
- 2:15Speaker 1: what I say in the morning because somebody asked me,
- 2:17Speaker 1: what do you mean by that when you say that
- 2:20Speaker 1: in the morning. When I say huh, it's in response
- 2:25Speaker 1: to David Hollister opening the song by saying, go ahead,
- 2:28Speaker 1: big Daddy, go ahead. I said, uh, huh, I show will.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Then I say good morning everybody. Because I was raised
- 2:36Speaker 1: at Ray, you're supposed to speak when you come in
- 2:38Speaker 1: the room. I'm coming in y'all's room, whether it's your
- 2:41Speaker 1: bad room, the room in your house, your car, your office,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, wherever you had. I come in the room
- 2:48Speaker 1: or God speak. So I say, good morning, everybody. You
- 2:51Speaker 1: are listening to the voice. And then I got to
- 2:54Speaker 1: introduce myself because as a performer, I always felt my
- 2:58Speaker 1: best when I was introduced, knowing why would you walk
- 3:01Speaker 1: out on stage anybody introduce you? You know you can't
- 3:04Speaker 1: get the round of applause. It's just it's horrible. So
- 3:07Speaker 1: I say, you are listening to the voice wanting only
- 3:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now that's old school.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I got that, but that's I was once again, dig me, Now,
- 3:19Speaker 1: is I want you to feel what I'm about to say.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. That's not a bragging thing. You know,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you're listening to the voice wanting only Steve Harvey. Come on,
- 3:30Speaker 1: dig me now, I'm just asking you to feel what
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm saying in the morning because it's part of a
- 3:35Speaker 1: promise that I made to God. See a long time ago,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I told God if he allowed me to make it,
- 3:42Speaker 1: that when I got there, I would tell everybody I
- 3:45Speaker 1: know how I did it, and I wasn't gonna shortcut
- 3:49Speaker 1: it or shady on it. I said, if you allow
- 3:51Speaker 1: me to make it, if you give me the strength,
- 3:54Speaker 1: the courage, the wisdom. You gave me a gift if
- 3:58Speaker 1: you let me apply it, don't destroy myself in the process.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Forgive me for my sins along the way. Continue to
- 4:06Speaker 1: hold and rock me when I need it. When I
- 4:09Speaker 1: make it, I promise you Lord, when I get there,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I will tell everybody how I made it. Well. This
- 4:18Speaker 1: started back in LA when I got on the radio
- 4:22Speaker 1: and I was making it okay. I was doing okay,
- 4:26Speaker 1: but I had to keep my promise to God. My
- 4:29Speaker 1: promise was, if you allow me to make it, I'll
- 4:32Speaker 1: tell everybody how I got there. I have to tell
- 4:37Speaker 1: you that every day because if it was not for
- 4:41Speaker 1: that grace and mercy, I wouldn't even be here able
- 4:44Speaker 1: to fulfill my promise, because I've done enough dirt in
- 4:47Speaker 1: my life. Man to not be worthy. He could have
- 4:51Speaker 1: easily walked away from me a long time ago because
- 4:55Speaker 1: I had show walked away from him. See, and I
- 4:58Speaker 1: didn't walk away from him once. I walked away from
- 5:01Speaker 1: him a bunch of times. But guess what He forgave
- 5:05Speaker 1: me a bunch of times, He let me back a
- 5:10Speaker 1: bunch of times. He gave me a second chance a
- 5:14Speaker 1: bunch of times. I'm a living example of hundreds of chances.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, hundreds of chances He's given me
- 5:26Speaker 1: to get it right. His forgiveness and his mercy is
- 5:31Speaker 1: available for everybody. It's the only reason I get on
- 5:35Speaker 1: this show every day, the only reason I have the
- 5:38Speaker 1: blessings that's coming my way. It's the only way that
- 5:41Speaker 1: the things that keep happening in my life, man, that
- 5:43Speaker 1: I have no explanation for, it is because of his
- 5:48Speaker 1: grace and mercy. See, anytime something good happens in my
- 5:52Speaker 1: life and I can't explain it, that's usually him. He's
- 5:57Speaker 1: exhibiting to me. I love you, man, he exhibits to me. Remember,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I'm a forgiving god. Man. Remember, So when you fall, Steve,
- 6:08Speaker 1: don't lay down now. Don't you lay down there. Don't
- 6:11Speaker 1: you let the devil fool you that because you'd have
- 6:14Speaker 1: made some mistakes that you ain't that you can't do
- 6:17Speaker 1: it because everybody gonna make them. There's none perfect, no,
- 6:21Speaker 1: not one. So get up, keep moving, keep pushing, step
- 6:25Speaker 1: on what you're laying there for. Your daddy didn't raise
- 6:30Speaker 1: you that way. Look, man, my father was just about manhood.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you my daddy never had a
- 6:36Speaker 1: conversation with me about church. He beat me for not going,
- 6:40Speaker 1: but you know a couple of times, but he wasn't
- 6:43Speaker 1: about that wasn't his message. That was my mama's job.
- 6:45Speaker 1: My mama taught me about being saved, about loving the Lord,
- 6:49Speaker 1: about giving your life, about the teachings of Jesus Christ.
- 6:53Speaker 1: My mama was a Sunday school teacher, so I got
- 6:56Speaker 1: all of that from her. My old man ain't had
- 6:58Speaker 1: none of that for me. My old man talk to
- 7:00Speaker 1: me about one thing all day long, hard working manhood.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And when you're gonna get that if you don't get
- 7:05Speaker 1: nothing else from me, he gave that to me, so
- 7:08Speaker 1: I got it. See So who my father? You say,
- 7:11Speaker 1: excuse my language, but you ain't gonna sit there like
- 7:13Speaker 1: no little punk up in here. You ain't damn what
- 7:15Speaker 1: you're fit to do. You fin to get up and
- 7:17Speaker 1: go do what you're posted to do. The stop all
- 7:19Speaker 1: that wine and like some little punking gonna get to
- 7:21Speaker 1: move it. That's how my father talked to me. And
- 7:23Speaker 1: I'm just telling you real it worked for me, though,
- 7:26Speaker 1: And before you start emailing me, that had nothing to
- 7:28Speaker 1: do with homosexuality at all. It's just that was his
- 7:32Speaker 1: term for a man not acting like a man. That's
- 7:36Speaker 1: all it was. It had It was not a gay
- 7:38Speaker 1: reference at all. I want you to understand that before
- 7:40Speaker 1: you started emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling. That
- 7:43Speaker 1: wasn't not a sexual reference for him. My father talked
- 7:46Speaker 1: to us. That's what he meant. I knew exactly what
- 7:48Speaker 1: he meant. He couldn't admit that he didn't even know
- 7:49Speaker 1: nothing about that. My man clueless when it comes to
- 7:52Speaker 1: that right there. So when I was getting down and
- 7:56Speaker 1: feeling bad about myself, my old man, he taught me
- 7:59Speaker 1: this toughness. He gave me this grit, this doggedness, this
- 8:03Speaker 1: go to work and work hard. That's why today, when
- 8:06Speaker 1: God does bless me with something, he ain't got to
- 8:09Speaker 1: wear about me not working hard because that's in me.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And when I get tired, I asked that same God
- 8:17Speaker 1: for strength to keep on doing so I can do
- 8:20Speaker 1: the blessings he got for me. So when you ask
- 8:23Speaker 1: me how you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey, I
- 8:25Speaker 1: don't know. I ain't got to figure that out. All
- 8:29Speaker 1: I got to do is show up with the same
- 8:31Speaker 1: amount of faith for being showing up with God handle
- 8:33Speaker 1: the rest of it. See y'all. Hey man, let me
- 8:36Speaker 1: tell you something. I don't see how you do it.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I don't either, can I can I get? Hey man,
- 8:41Speaker 1: news flash, let me hear. I don't see how you
- 8:44Speaker 1: doing all that? Steve, you're doing this? You doing that?
- 8:46Speaker 1: You can I tell you something? I don't either. I
- 8:49Speaker 1: just wake up with the faith man and trusting that
- 8:52Speaker 1: if he gonna bless me with it, he must be
- 8:54Speaker 1: gonna show me a way how to get it done. See,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I ain't tripping on that part. See I. Once you
- 8:59Speaker 1: take yourself out to how to business, you can go
- 9:02Speaker 1: on and get with it. But see if you're gonna
- 9:05Speaker 1: trip yourself out with the how to you can't think
- 9:07Speaker 1: like God can think. You can't figure like God can figure.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So now you're sitting up in here gonna Lord, I
- 9:12Speaker 1: want this to have him for me. Then I don't
- 9:15Speaker 1: know how I'm will do all that. Well, guess what
- 9:17Speaker 1: You're in the way now, see you? Now you in
- 9:20Speaker 1: the way because see, God ain't ask you to figure
- 9:23Speaker 1: out how to. He said ask and believe. Then he
- 9:28Speaker 1: said faith without works is dead. That's my solution. That's
- 9:32Speaker 1: the concoction that I'm functioning on. See I ask, Then
- 9:37Speaker 1: I just believe that he gonna give it to me.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Then I know what's I believe that faith without works
- 9:45Speaker 1: is dead. That's the concoction. Nah, I put all that
- 9:50Speaker 1: into play. So when God starts dumping these blessings on me,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and I don't see how I got him, and you
- 9:55Speaker 1: don't see how you got him, and you you write
- 9:56Speaker 1: about me, you don't know how I'm gonna do all this.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I don't tell you something don't know either. I ain't
- 10:01Speaker 1: got too though. All I got to do is accept
- 10:04Speaker 1: the blessing, keep the faith, be willing to work, and
- 10:08Speaker 1: believe God can do anything but fail. Why would God
- 10:13Speaker 1: bring me this far to leave me? Why would he
- 10:17Speaker 1: bring you this far to leave you? Quit tripping yourself
- 10:24Speaker 1: out trying to think of the way you can make
- 10:26Speaker 1: it happen. Get out the way and let God show
- 10:30Speaker 1: you high can happen and you can have something. So
- 10:34Speaker 1: why I get up every morning? I have no choice.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I gotta get up in here the rap when I'm
- 10:40Speaker 1: running late, man, I try to ply through here. Sometimes
- 10:42Speaker 1: I don't make it, man, I gotta do a rerun.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But I ply through here because man, Steve, you're gonna
- 10:47Speaker 1: run out of something to say. No, I'm gonna just
- 10:49Speaker 1: keep thanking him now. You can't run out of that,
- 10:51Speaker 1: can you, because you owe him that. Matter of fact,
- 10:53Speaker 1: when I get through talking, I really ain't thanked him enough.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, everybody? It is that time. That's right.
- 11:04Speaker 1: It is morning time, and I'm fresh off my gentle
- 11:07Speaker 1: ground was sick tour. It is the Steve Harvin Morning Show, y'all.
- 11:12Speaker 1: We're holding it down, holding it down. Please put your
- 11:19Speaker 1: hands together, very baby, what a name for a tour?
- 11:24Speaker 1: I love it, holding it down. Welcome back again, Jay,

- 12:31Speaker 1: you know when a negro don't get that check. Man,
- 12:34Speaker 1: he got to be sick. Yeah, you was really under
- 12:39Speaker 1: the weather and you was gone down. Well you had
- 12:43Speaker 1: to collect a few of them because you've been gone
- 12:45Speaker 1: quite a while, an get any of them, Junior. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 1: they were in there, They were going in there. Oh.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I thought he said that you could give us to us,
- 12:52Speaker 1: spread it around. We could you know, split it and
- 12:55Speaker 1: started to Yeah. Yeah, but now his checks was in there.
- 12:59Speaker 1: It just passed that rich count it. But it's nothing
- 13:07Speaker 1: like you know, recovery or getting yourself well when you
- 13:10Speaker 1: can come back with a stack of ship. So that's

- 27:31Speaker 1: ain't nobody. Ain't nobody half fell out of church that
- 27:33Speaker 1: you still? They say you the bomb down there. So
- 27:35Speaker 1: I just wanted to call and make sure I prank
- 27:38Speaker 1: my girl. She the one. All right, baby, answer one
- 27:46Speaker 1: thing from me. What is the baddest, I mean, the
- 27:49Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the world, The String Morning Show.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Come on, what Junior? Yeah? That's it right? Are you stupid? Huh?
- 28:08Speaker 1: How is that? That was good? Yeah? Come on, you
- 28:11Speaker 1: live up to it. Give it to me. Never kate
- 28:17Speaker 1: pranking all day long? What I do? An? What's yell?
- 28:25Speaker 1: Y'all know what he gonna be with some more and Bruce, Bruce,
- 28:30Speaker 1: we do know that, but we got to if you
- 28:33Speaker 1: Tommy dot com right, yea dot com, third dot com
- 28:38Speaker 1: and you can find out what a nephew gonna be
- 28:40Speaker 1: and that's how you do that, because you have to
- 28:41Speaker 1: go on line and find out what stupid you gonna
- 28:44Speaker 1: because stupid to come around? How long, y'all? You know
- 28:47Speaker 1: we get it every day. I beg to death. We
- 28:50Speaker 1: get it every day, whether we whether we want it
- 28:53Speaker 1: or not, you want it or not? Yeah, you boy?
- 28:58Speaker 1: So how was it last night? Jay at the Jaspot?
- 29:02Speaker 1: Michael Blackson turned it out? Shows Talk on Tuesday last
- 29:10Speaker 1: TiO Tuesday. Yeah, we raised the price a little bit,
- 29:13Speaker 1: but everybody was had What did you make him come
- 29:15Speaker 1: out faster? Raised the price on late time? There's something
- 29:20Speaker 1: so wrong about that on the price with Michael Blackson,
- 29:24Speaker 1: not taco. Oh but Michael Blackson is on time and
- 29:30Speaker 1: worth all right. Coming up at the top of the hour, guys,
- 29:36Speaker 1: Entertainment News. We'll get into it right after this you're
- 29:39Speaker 1: listening to. Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 29:46Speaker 1: in Sports News, we're gonna talk about the big news
- 29:49Speaker 1: going on in all of sports and especially LA. Magic
- 29:52Speaker 1: Johnson has stepped down as the Lakers President of Basketball Operations. Yes, yes, yes,
- 30:00Speaker 1: major for LA and for the Lakers. We'll get to
- 30:04Speaker 1: it in a minute, but first, in today's entertainment news.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Most people are surprised to learn that Christopher Darden is
- 30:10Speaker 1: defending Nipsey Hustle's alleged killer, Eric Holder. Now we all
- 30:15Speaker 1: remember Christopher Darden. He was a prosecutor in the O. J.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Simpson trial back in nineteen ninety five. And ever since
- 30:22Speaker 1: the story broke that he's going to defend Nipsey Hustle's
- 30:26Speaker 1: alleged killer, he's received backlash from upset Nipsey fans. Apparently
- 30:31Speaker 1: some of their wrath has been directed at his daughter,
- 30:33Speaker 1: Janey Darden, who says she's received some vile comments and
- 30:37Speaker 1: messages since her dad took on the case. But she says,
- 30:40Speaker 1: like many of you, I found out about my father's
- 30:43Speaker 1: involvement in the case while scrolling social media. Jane wrote, yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 1: that's what she wrote in a Twitter statement. Oh she
- 30:50Speaker 1: didn't know he was doing it. Yeah. She says she
- 30:52Speaker 1: was not prepared for this backlash that has triggered back
- 30:55Speaker 1: memories from the O. J. Simpson trial. My father is
- 30:58Speaker 1: a grown man and has been a defend its attorney
- 31:00Speaker 1: for some time. I have no say in the cases
- 31:03Speaker 1: he takes on. Janet went on to express her condolences
- 31:06Speaker 1: for the hustle family, adding that she too was saddened
- 31:10Speaker 1: by the tragic loss. She says, it hurts deeply when
- 31:13Speaker 1: we lose young talents, black men like him who are
- 31:15Speaker 1: committed to empowering people. She also urged his fans to
- 31:19Speaker 1: channel that negativity into upholding Nipsey's legacy by strengthening our
- 31:24Speaker 1: communities and lifting up each other. Wow, what a powerful statement. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: powerful statement. You know, he is getting a lot of
- 31:33Speaker 1: backlash for this. People are not happy about this. They
- 31:36Speaker 1: are not He does need work, and a lot of
- 31:38Speaker 1: times they switched from public defendant to from prosecutor to
- 31:43Speaker 1: because of the money. Because of the money. A lot
- 31:46Speaker 1: of times. It's it's most times that I know of,
- 31:49Speaker 1: it's because of the money. Money. Yeah, they start in
- 31:51Speaker 1: the prosecutor's office. They learned that side of it and
- 31:54Speaker 1: then they go strike out on their own or get
- 31:56Speaker 1: with the firm. And a white woman, Dy was with
- 31:58Speaker 1: Marsha Clark. They've separated. Yeah, she's doing her own things,
- 32:03Speaker 1: her support. You never know, she's a writer, she's doing
- 32:06Speaker 1: a teaser. You know, I can't see relationships. The man
- 32:12Speaker 1: who is going against relationships. I mean, this will be
- 32:16Speaker 1: the time for him to really need a white woman.
- 32:19Speaker 1: You need to stop right now. Yeah. Yeah. But his daughter,
- 32:26Speaker 1: like she said, she's just finding out about this, and
- 32:28Speaker 1: she has no control over what her daughter does, so
- 32:30Speaker 1: leave her alone. Yeah what her dad, you know what,
- 32:34Speaker 1: if he's gonna take that case, it's gonna be back
- 32:36Speaker 1: last with his family and his kids. Yeah. Yeah, he's
- 32:40Speaker 1: aware of that. Yeah. Yeah, he made this decision. Yeah, decision.
- 32:44Speaker 1: If somebody gonna bring it up around Thanksgiving, Woman Nobody
- 32:49Speaker 1: and other entertainment news. As we move on, Sarah Gilbert
- 32:54Speaker 1: will exit The Talk at the end of the season.
- 32:56Speaker 1: She's leaving. Yeah. She made the announcement during yesterday's episode, saying,
- 33:00Speaker 1: this is something I've been struggling with for a while
- 33:03Speaker 1: and going back and forth, but I've decided it's time
- 33:06Speaker 1: for me to leave the show. Didn't she start the show?
- 33:08Speaker 1: Isn't this? Yeah created the show? No, she said she
- 33:13Speaker 1: made the decision because out first magic nats I know,
- 33:20Speaker 1: and don't forget Kathy Lee. Last week Kathy Lee Griffin left. Yeah. Well,
- 33:32Speaker 1: she's Sarah Gilbert seven. She's too busy producing and starring
- 33:36Speaker 1: in The Connors, the Roseanne spin off. Anyway, it was
- 33:39Speaker 1: renewed for a second season. So good. And she's got
- 33:42Speaker 1: three kids. Yeah, she made a choice. There you go.
- 33:45Speaker 1: We'll miss her all right. Time for today's headlines to
- 33:48Speaker 1: day and now everybody, it's time from his and trip.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Thank you very much, everybody. This is a trip with
- 33:54Speaker 1: the news and good morning, good morning, good morning. Attorney
- 33:57Speaker 1: General William Barr has told the Congress that are redacted
- 33:59Speaker 1: or partially blacked out copy of the Mueller report is
- 34:02Speaker 1: going to be out in a week or so and
- 34:04Speaker 1: will include notes explaining the missing details. Now, as you
- 34:07Speaker 1: would expect, Senate Republican Leader Miss McConnell thinks that sounds
- 34:10Speaker 1: just fine, while Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer does not
- 34:14Speaker 1: trust the Attorney General to give us all of the
- 34:17Speaker 1: information that we need without revealing classified information. We've heard
- 34:23Speaker 1: reports in the media from some people on Mueller's team
- 34:26Speaker 1: that he didn't portray the report fairly. Will wait to
- 34:29Speaker 1: see the report, but color me dubious that he's going
- 34:33Speaker 1: to be fair unless he proves otherwise, So I guess
- 34:35Speaker 1: we'll see. The Chairman of the House Ways and Means
- 34:37Speaker 1: Committee is exercising his legal authority to ask for President
- 34:41Speaker 1: Trump's tax returns now Treasury Secretary Steve Manushan told lawmakers
- 34:45Speaker 1: that attorneys for Treasury and the White House have held
- 34:48Speaker 1: discussions about the matter, but he insisted that he hadn't
- 34:51Speaker 1: taken part in any of them. I personally have not
- 34:53Speaker 1: had any communication with anybody in the White House, although
- 34:57Speaker 1: I want to be specific that relates to me and
- 35:00Speaker 1: not everybody at Treasury. The Democrats are invoking a law
- 35:03Speaker 1: that empowers the heads of certain congressional tax writing committees
- 35:07Speaker 1: to seek any individual tax records directly from the IRS.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Sixty more people are now formally indicted in connection with
- 35:14Speaker 1: the largest college admissions cheating scandal to ever be prosecuted
- 35:18Speaker 1: by the US Justice Department. Fourteen people pled guilty on Monday. However,
- 35:22Speaker 1: this second group is pleading innocent and is now in
- 35:25Speaker 1: great or legal jeopardy. Those charged yesterday include actress Laurie Laughlin,
- 35:30Speaker 1: and the governments added additional charges now of conspiracy to
- 35:33Speaker 1: commit money laundering and mail fraud. Each count carries fines
- 35:37Speaker 1: about two hundred and fifty thousand dollars and up to
- 35:39Speaker 1: twenty years in prison. Whoever, those who agreed to plead
- 35:42Speaker 1: guilty are probably more likely to just face some months
- 35:46Speaker 1: It wasn't a lot of fanfare yesterday, but the House
- 35:48Speaker 1: Judiciary Committee held what was billed as a hearing centering
- 35:51Speaker 1: on the rise of expressed white supremacy. One Republican invitee
- 35:55Speaker 1: was a black woman named Candice Owens, who MSNBC said
- 35:58Speaker 1: that the so called Southern strategy she claimed was a
- 36:01Speaker 1: hoax and didn't happen. The Southern strategy is what most
- 36:04Speaker 1: political historians referred to when it said they used up
- 36:07Speaker 1: that Richard Nixon and others inflamed racism in southern white
- 36:10Speaker 1: Democrats to get them to switch the Republican Party. Miss
- 36:13Speaker 1: Owens reportedly said that was not the Southern strategy, There
- 36:16Speaker 1: was no such thing, and that that's a myth. Oh well,
- 36:19Speaker 1: remember Rachel dallas All, the woman who made news after
- 36:22Speaker 1: her parents say she'd been passing for black. Miss dalaz
- 36:24Speaker 1: All used to head up Spokane, Washington. U WAACP has
- 36:28Speaker 1: reached an agreement and a welfare fraud case. Today is
- 36:30Speaker 1: Italian Restaurant Day. Yes, and I love every bit of it.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 36:40Speaker 1: to show, all right, in a stunning move, this stunned everyone.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Magic Johnson quit now, Yeah, this was right. Yeah, everything's
- 36:51Speaker 1: shocking to meet this morning. Magic Johnson quit right, this
- 36:55Speaker 1: is a move. Right before the Lakers season finale game
- 36:57Speaker 1: against Portland, Magic annown he was stepping down from his role.
- 37:01Speaker 1: You know, he's team president of basketball operations. And I
- 37:05Speaker 1: remember when he took this job. Remember, guys, he called
- 37:08Speaker 1: us and we were all congratulating him and everything, and
- 37:11Speaker 1: then two years later he's quit. He quit the team.
- 37:15Speaker 1: So let's find out why. Take a listen to today,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna step down as a president. I don't want to.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Her and I have such an amazing relationship and I
- 37:24Speaker 1: think that she gave me full power to do what
- 37:28Speaker 1: I wanted to do with her, and I want to
- 37:32Speaker 1: always preserve our relationship and I love her. And then
- 37:36Speaker 1: I had more fun when I was able to be
- 37:40Speaker 1: the big brother and ambassador to everybody. You know, I
- 37:43Speaker 1: thought about Dwayne Wade retiring tomorrow and I can't even
- 37:46Speaker 1: tweet it out or can't be there. Serena Williams called
- 37:49Speaker 1: me a week ago and said, well, you mentor me
- 37:52Speaker 1: and be on my advisory board. And I said, yeah,
- 37:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that. So when Ben Simmons called and
- 38:00Speaker 1: we went through the proper channels, and they made me
- 38:03Speaker 1: look like the bad guy out of that situation. But
- 38:05Speaker 1: I didn't do anything wrong, but do everything right. I
- 38:08Speaker 1: was thinking about all those times, all guys who want
- 38:11Speaker 1: me to mentor them or be a part of their lives,
- 38:14Speaker 1: and I can't even do that. I had more fun
- 38:16Speaker 1: on the other side than on this side, because now
- 38:19Speaker 1: tomorrow I would have to affect somebody's life, livelihood in
- 38:22Speaker 1: their life. That's not fun for me. That's not who
- 38:26Speaker 1: I am. And then I don't want to put her
- 38:29Speaker 1: in the middle of us. I know she has great
- 38:31Speaker 1: love for him and great love for me, you know,
- 38:34Speaker 1: all right when he's saying her, he means Jennie Buss,
- 38:37Speaker 1: the owner is that he's talking about. Can you feel
- 38:41Speaker 1: him though? Yeah? I felt him, Yeah, yes when it
- 38:45Speaker 1: was it was painstaking for him to make this decision.
- 38:49Speaker 1: But yeah, but the good thing I heard in that
- 38:51Speaker 1: he's gonna be on Serena's advisory board. Yeah, we're gonna
- 38:54Speaker 1: to mentor her. Well, magic, there's another one out here.
- 38:58Speaker 1: My advisory board can show you. Yeah, your fa my foundation.
- 39:04Speaker 1: But me, I want But I like the fact that
- 39:09Speaker 1: you know he wants to still have fun and enjoy
- 39:12Speaker 1: what he's doing. Interesting. But yeah, but that's interesting because
- 39:17Speaker 1: he was a big part of getting Lebron Oh absolutely
- 39:21Speaker 1: to come out to the Lakers, so that it's just
- 39:23Speaker 1: so shocking wondering what's going to happen. And you know
- 39:27Speaker 1: the other thing about Magic, if you know anything about him,
- 39:30Speaker 1: he loves to win. And the Lakers didn't make it
- 39:34Speaker 1: to the playoffs this year this season, and I'm sure
- 39:37Speaker 1: he has to feel some of that too. Yeah, he
- 39:39Speaker 1: has to feel some of that. So uh, as the
- 39:42Speaker 1: days go by, I'm sure we'll find out more and
- 39:44Speaker 1: more as to exactly why he quit. But right now, wow,
- 39:49Speaker 1: all right, switching gears here. Coming up next at thirty
- 39:51Speaker 1: four after the hour, Nipsey Hustle's mom shares a powerful
- 39:55Speaker 1: message in the wake of her son's death. You're listening
- 39:59Speaker 1: Steve Hardy Morning Show. Nipsey Hustle's mom shared some words
- 40:03Speaker 1: of encouragement for those who continue to mourn her son's death.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Miss Angelique Smith was on camera and she assured fans
- 40:11Speaker 1: that she is strong and she wants to encourage Nipsey's
- 40:15Speaker 1: fans to do the same. Take a listen and you
- 40:17Speaker 1: see students, don't fear. When you live your life and
- 40:22Speaker 1: you have God on your side, when God dwells inside
- 40:26Speaker 1: of you, there's no fear. Everything is in perfect order.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Everything is in the divine, perfect order of our creator.
- 40:36Speaker 1: And we have perfect peace. I have perfect peace, and
- 40:41Speaker 1: I have strength, and I want to lift you up.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Please do not stay down, do not stay not mourn,
- 40:54Speaker 1: because Nipsey is great. He is the great. He is
- 40:59Speaker 1: the great, and now he's even greater because he has
- 41:04Speaker 1: no bounds and no limits. His energy is everywhere he
- 41:09Speaker 1: can touch now and he's here with me now. And Wow,
- 41:17Speaker 1: encourage your yeah. From Nipsey Hustle's mom, Los Angeles Smith.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Nipsey's memorial service will be tomorrow at the Staples Center
- 41:27Speaker 1: in Los Angeles, the same place where Michael Jackson's funeral was.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Then after that there will be a professional to follow
- 41:34Speaker 1: traveling through parts of South central in Los Angeles. Um
- 41:38Speaker 1: rest in peace, Nipsey Hustle. Wow. Wow for his mother
- 41:42Speaker 1: to have lost her son and to be so strong
- 41:46Speaker 1: and encourage her son's fans all over the world to
- 41:51Speaker 1: be strong. And that's just amazing. It is, it is
- 41:55Speaker 1: simply amazing. I mean, he's a strong, god fearing woman. Yeah,
- 41:59Speaker 1: there are no words, I mean, and she's she sounded
- 42:02Speaker 1: so encouraging. It makes you feel like you can do it,
- 42:05Speaker 1: you know, yeah, very much. So yeah, you know yeah, yeah,
- 42:10Speaker 1: I think they're looking for about twenty one thousand people
- 42:14Speaker 1: at the Staples Center. Yes, yes, tickets, I mean just
- 42:19Speaker 1: just we're sold out so quickly for this funeral. Yeah,
- 42:23Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I didn't mean sold out as if they
- 42:26Speaker 1: were selling them, but just all the seats are taken, yeah,
- 42:29Speaker 1: to get tickets and all of that. Yeah, they didn't
- 42:31Speaker 1: sell them, no, but the place is will be filled
- 42:34Speaker 1: to capacity, the Staples Center. He'll finally be able to
- 42:37Speaker 1: get his peace. We'll be watching it, I guess on TV.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I think they're allowing one local uh TV station to
- 42:46Speaker 1: televise it here, yeah, in in Los Angeles. Yes, and
- 42:51Speaker 1: I'm sure they will send out video nationally. I'm sure
- 42:56Speaker 1: the country, yeah, able to see some parts of it. Yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 1: that's going on. It reminded me when, um, I think
- 43:02Speaker 1: we mentioned this off the air when Biggie passed away
- 43:05Speaker 1: and his funeral procession went through Brooklyn. You know, yeah, yes, yeah,
- 43:11Speaker 1: so it'll be similar to that the procession will pass
- 43:15Speaker 1: by his marathon clothing store in South Central and uh, yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 1: it'll be quite a day tomorrow, Yeah, tomorrow. And still
- 43:25Speaker 1: praying for Lauren London, Yes, and the family, the children, Yes, yeah,
- 43:31Speaker 1: and the children. This is just a heartbreaking story. Like
- 43:35Speaker 1: you know, we're all still grieving, and you know, just
- 43:37Speaker 1: like his mother just said, we got to be strong,
- 43:39Speaker 1: and I know, I'm I am amazed at her strength.
- 43:44Speaker 1: I mean amazed. I mean we keep going back to that,
- 43:48Speaker 1: but wow, you could still grieve right now and we
- 43:51Speaker 1: wouldn't even have a problem. Yeah, absolutely, yeah, absolutely not. Yeah,
- 43:56Speaker 1: I mean that strong. Yeah, it is it for all
- 44:00Speaker 1: parents out there who lost a child. You know that
- 44:04Speaker 1: that's out of order that you bury your children. So
- 44:08Speaker 1: I can't imagine, yeah, which is what she's going through.
- 44:11Speaker 1: But again, we can gather we can gather strength from her.
- 44:14Speaker 1: We can gather strength from her. So and we are
- 44:17Speaker 1: asking and everyone is asking that please let it be
- 44:21Speaker 1: peaceful on Thursday. Please, um, just remember that what the
- 44:26Speaker 1: man stood for, Nipsey Hustle. He was about empowerment in
- 44:31Speaker 1: peace and community, you know, and unity and community and
- 44:35Speaker 1: uplifting the community. So let's just have a peaceful tribute
- 44:39Speaker 1: and honor as we lay this man to rest on Thursday.
- 44:43Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna move move on and switch gears here.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Up next, Junior will be in for the nephew once
- 44:50Speaker 1: again for the prank phone call for the day. Right
- 44:52Speaker 1: after this you're listening to coming up at the top
- 44:58Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four, and it's after it's
- 45:00Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today, Jay. I think this one's
- 45:03Speaker 1: for you. I can't damn the times I've heard that.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Pay good money for it. But go right ahead, subject.
- 45:08Speaker 1: I need him to use it before I lose it.
- 45:11Speaker 1: All right, now, all right, all right, all right, Now
- 45:19Speaker 1: Junior is here for the nephew with today's prank phone call.
- 45:22Speaker 1: But you got Junior all today's prank phone call? Huh
- 45:27Speaker 1: killing me and my chief? Oh? Okay, run it cat. Hello, Hello,
- 45:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach his sister. How you doing. I'm
- 45:43Speaker 1: giving you a call on behalf of Baptist Church. You
- 45:47Speaker 1: are a member there? Am I right? Yes? I am? Okay, listen, um,
- 45:52Speaker 1: I'm calling you. They some of the members have gotten
- 45:55Speaker 1: together and had a meeting and wanted me to give
- 45:58Speaker 1: you a call. It seems that a lot of them
- 46:03Speaker 1: are complaining about Sunday services that go on and wanted
- 46:08Speaker 1: for me to give you a call on their behalf
- 46:10Speaker 1: so that we can see if we can address the
- 46:12Speaker 1: problem and talk to you diligently as possible and try
- 46:16Speaker 1: to get the problem rectified. What's going on, Well, it
- 46:20Speaker 1: seems like that a lot of members are complaining. I'm sorry,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and what is your name again? My name is Man.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I'm not actually a member of the church. I've just
- 46:31Speaker 1: been the one that they've been asked to give you
- 46:33Speaker 1: a call and try to talk on the members behalf,
- 46:35Speaker 1: so maybe we can get this problem rectify that you
- 46:38Speaker 1: that they have as far as you are concerned, now, okay,
- 46:42Speaker 1: go ahead, I'm just trying to see what this is
- 46:43Speaker 1: in regards to go ahead. Well, it seems like the
- 46:46Speaker 1: members of the church are complaining about that you're doing
- 46:50Speaker 1: too much shouting at church on Sunday, and it seems
- 46:54Speaker 1: to be going on every Sunday. You're running up and
- 46:56Speaker 1: down the aisle and you're shouting all over the place,
- 46:59Speaker 1: and it's me. I've been singled out about my shouting.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying? Well, ever, dinning is distracting, man,
- 47:06Speaker 1: You're distracting everyone from getting the word and listen to
- 47:09Speaker 1: the word and being involved in the service. And that's
- 47:12Speaker 1: the purpose of the call is to see if we
- 47:14Speaker 1: can get you to tone it down some. Okay, So
- 47:17Speaker 1: the whole church is complaining about me shouting the way
- 47:19Speaker 1: people run up and down them off every Sunday and
- 47:23Speaker 1: almost playing cart wheels and flips, and they're singling me out,
- 47:26Speaker 1: complained about me. Well, ma'am, I don't know how it
- 47:29Speaker 1: is that you can see everybody else doing cart wheels
- 47:32Speaker 1: when you're the ones that they say is the one
- 47:34Speaker 1: that's doing them. You don't am I being singled out. Man.
- 47:37Speaker 1: All I'm saying is that they're saying that you're doing
- 47:40Speaker 1: too much shouting and too much running at this church.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Now I'm just the message. Okay. Well, they can't tell
- 47:45Speaker 1: me how to shout. They don't. They can't tell me
- 47:47Speaker 1: what's going on in my life, what's gonna keep me
- 47:49Speaker 1: from praising God? And they, I mean, they could just
- 47:52Speaker 1: they could go somewhere else for that, but they are
- 47:54Speaker 1: not gonna tell me that I can't praise my God.
- 47:56Speaker 1: They don't know how good God it's being to me.
- 47:59Speaker 1: And you know what, I understand that I agree with
- 48:01Speaker 1: you wholeheartedly, but it's becoming a distraction. I mean, they
- 48:05Speaker 1: was at the point last night talking about should we
- 48:08Speaker 1: put some seatbelts on the pews so so you can
- 48:10Speaker 1: stay down we stay We'll put some seat high. They
- 48:13Speaker 1: gonna tell people they can't shout in church and prace God.
- 48:16Speaker 1: What do we call the church for? Well, you do
- 48:18Speaker 1: come to we need to be trying to place God
- 48:20Speaker 1: and get they all shout on and stop looking at
- 48:22Speaker 1: me and about what I'm doing. We're gonna need you
- 48:24Speaker 1: to quit running up and down these aisles and doing
- 48:27Speaker 1: what you go. I'm sorry, you know, I'm trying to
- 48:29Speaker 1: stay calm. I'm trying my best. Who Jesus, chief sir
- 48:34Speaker 1: that that's not happy? You can't tell me I gotta
- 48:36Speaker 1: stop shouting. Okay, man, But let me ask you. Are
- 48:39Speaker 1: you running now? Aren't you just standing still talking? But
- 48:42Speaker 1: I don't have to run right now? Okay, what I'm
- 48:45Speaker 1: trying to get you to do. If I want to
- 48:47Speaker 1: run up and down this street right now, I can
- 48:48Speaker 1: run up and down the street and place God. But
- 48:50Speaker 1: they're not gonna tell me to stop shouting at church.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Can we get you to be a little bit more
- 48:54Speaker 1: reserved as what we see. Man, let me let me
- 48:56Speaker 1: go ahead and go further on what they do. Move,
- 48:59Speaker 1: how to speed remove? Okay, well, let me move and
- 49:02Speaker 1: tell you what they've told me. Now, if we can't
- 49:06Speaker 1: get to the point where you can, you know, tone
- 49:08Speaker 1: it down, then we may have to ask you to leave.
- 49:12Speaker 1: I want them ask me, Jesus, O, Jesus, Jesus. You
- 49:18Speaker 1: let them ask me. Why don't they want me to
- 49:19Speaker 1: leave the church. I've been at that church for sixteen years.
- 49:23Speaker 1: I'm not leaving the church. I'm gonna run up and down.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I'm not gonna run on the church. I'm ain't even
- 49:28Speaker 1: turn me some flips where I feel like it not
- 49:31Speaker 1: not not listen, that's all. I'm okay, go ahead, but
- 49:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna be there. I'm going to I am going
- 49:38Speaker 1: to be there on Sunday. Man, and I have been
- 49:41Speaker 1: the person that's been appointed to make sure that you're
- 49:43Speaker 1: not running up and down these houses and shotting like this.
- 49:46Speaker 1: You got to keep yourself reserved so people can hear
- 49:48Speaker 1: the word of God. You are standing in people's word.
- 49:51Speaker 1: That's what you're doing. You're in the whale. If they
- 49:53Speaker 1: come trying to send me down I'm gonna get him
- 49:55Speaker 1: a word and it ain't gonna be a god. So
- 49:57Speaker 1: let you put that heads upon me here now listen.
- 49:59Speaker 1: I'm telling it that now you could say I haven't
- 50:02Speaker 1: been in that church fifteen years. If I want to run, dad, shout,
- 50:05Speaker 1: jump quitting, whatever I want to do, I'm gonna do it.
- 50:08Speaker 1: It ain't nobody gonna stop me. You're gonna have to
- 50:11Speaker 1: stop this. This pass Sunday was your last Sunday doing it,
- 50:14Speaker 1: and you're not gonna do it this Sunday, Like I said,
- 50:17Speaker 1: just why, And I'm telling you could tell the unsues,
- 50:20Speaker 1: the deacon boy, the deacon as, the minister's wives or
- 50:22Speaker 1: who ill asks you want to tell, let him put
- 50:24Speaker 1: their hands on me and see if I don't sling
- 50:26Speaker 1: on them, I'm gonna come run about the spirit and
- 50:28Speaker 1: sling on I'm telling you that now because he said
- 50:30Speaker 1: you wouldn't really push me that out and tried out
- 50:33Speaker 1: and try. Let me ask you this where you're trying
- 50:36Speaker 1: to show that I'm saved and never but you make
- 50:38Speaker 1: it you if you're making me revert back to my
- 50:40Speaker 1: own ways and you you ran me off, that's what
- 50:43Speaker 1: you're gonna do. Okay, well, let me ask you this,
- 50:45Speaker 1: Why is the God at right now? And you where's
- 50:48Speaker 1: the one that said? Yeah? It was? The God was
- 50:50Speaker 1: in me when I was trying to be called with
- 50:52Speaker 1: you at first to tell you don't be calling me
- 50:54Speaker 1: with this foolishness, But now you can make the other
- 50:56Speaker 1: side of me row. He's up. Well, you wouldn't raise
- 50:58Speaker 1: it up, and now you wouldn't raise it up in
- 51:00Speaker 1: me too. Guess what come signing, You're gonna set you
- 51:03Speaker 1: in that pew and you ain't gonna you know when
- 51:06Speaker 1: you call yourself an a pew. Okay, all right, all right,
- 51:11Speaker 1: We're gonna see how where I'm not sitting that pew.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Matter of fact, first thing, Sunday morning, I'm going the past.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well, Deacon whever you are, whatever your name is,
- 51:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna telling about it God, matter how long you
- 51:23Speaker 1: need to lose. I would be talking to Pastor myself
- 51:26Speaker 1: and letting him know about this situation. You don't talk,
- 51:29Speaker 1: you don't we can call pass right around. He just passing.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Don't play right. You don't talk to pastor. I talk
- 51:35Speaker 1: to Pastor. I'm past at this chart sifting. Yes, like
- 51:38Speaker 1: I said, I'm telling you old Jesus, j old you
- 51:42Speaker 1: feel old Jesus, not not not not not See just
- 51:44Speaker 1: like this here, you see how you calling on him
- 51:46Speaker 1: and you standing yeah, because I'm calling on him to
- 51:49Speaker 1: keep you from just really going to cuss you out
- 51:51Speaker 1: right there, because you've been really hitting my nerves. I
- 51:53Speaker 1: got one more thing I need to say to you, ladies.
- 51:56Speaker 1: You know I want you better fay real quick because
- 51:57Speaker 1: you're gonna talk to this operator. That's this neph you
- 52:00Speaker 1: tire me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just
- 52:04Speaker 1: got brak by your girl. You're not I'm I'm gonna
- 52:12Speaker 1: kick but cursing on the part. Okay, Jesus, I got
- 52:21Speaker 1: one more thing, baby, Let me ask you something. What
- 52:23Speaker 1: is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show
- 52:26Speaker 1: in the land morning Jesus Man, you can't tell me
- 52:35Speaker 1: how I was supposed to praise my Lord me, how
- 52:37Speaker 1: to praise my Jesus, me and my Jesus. Yeah, people
- 52:42Speaker 1: who shot a little bit too awesome. You are absolutely correct.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Are some people who are really overdoing it. Really. I
- 52:48Speaker 1: don't like when you catch the spirit and you take
- 52:50Speaker 1: off running, but you stopped right before the wall. Come on, now,
- 52:53Speaker 1: go run that wall. Get there. The Lord got for you.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Get around two times, but on that second time, they
- 52:58Speaker 1: win it. They win it. We do a little too
- 53:01Speaker 1: much of this church. We was at church one time.
- 53:05Speaker 1: So this lady, y'all, she she passed out of church.
- 53:09Speaker 1: She passed out right by Tasha. So the usher came
- 53:14Speaker 1: over there. It's so Tasha's life called number one. So
- 53:18Speaker 1: the usher was repeat called nine one one. Tasha's like,
- 53:21Speaker 1: get some water, Get some water. Why am I doing
- 53:25Speaker 1: your job? She didn't know what to do. Then she
- 53:29Speaker 1: is doing everybody step back, step back. They give them
- 53:33Speaker 1: white glove. They don't give them nothing else done. White
- 53:37Speaker 1: glove got power in it. All right, thanks guys. Coming
- 53:42Speaker 1: up next, it is the Strawberry Letters subject. I need
- 53:46Speaker 1: him to use it before I lose it. Right after this,
- 53:50Speaker 1: you're listening to Steven Show. All right, guys, it is
- 53:54Speaker 1: time now for today's Strawberry Letter, and listen. If you
- 53:57Speaker 1: need advice on relationships, dating, work, sex, parenting, and more,
- 54:01Speaker 1: please please please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey
- 54:05Speaker 1: sm and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading
- 54:09Speaker 1: your letter live on the air, just like we're gonna
- 54:12Speaker 1: read this one live today. Okay, you're ready, all right,
- 54:16Speaker 1: let's go. Well, lady and gentlemen, it is time. It's
- 54:19Speaker 1: time for the Strawberry Letter with my good friend Shirley Strawberry.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Thank you, junior subject. I need him to use it
- 54:27Speaker 1: before I lose it. That's right, Jay, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:31Speaker 1: My boyfriend and I are both seventy five years old,
- 54:36Speaker 1: and we've been in a great relationship for about fifteen years.
- 54:40Speaker 1: When we met, we headed off right away, but courted
- 54:44Speaker 1: for a while before we became intimate. Sex was great
- 54:48Speaker 1: and it was the glue that held us together. Then
- 54:53Speaker 1: he had knee replacement surgery and I had my hip replaced,
- 54:58Speaker 1: so we had to wait a while before we could
- 55:01Speaker 1: resume a normal sex life. We did other things to
- 55:04Speaker 1: each other to keep the fire going. In the meantime,
- 55:07Speaker 1: everything was fine until a year ago when my honey
- 55:11Speaker 1: was diagnosed with a hard problem and had to have
- 55:13Speaker 1: a pacemaker put in. We allowed a month or so
- 55:17Speaker 1: for him to get used to it, and we abstained
- 55:19Speaker 1: from sex because we didn't want him to get overheated
- 55:22Speaker 1: and have a heart attack. When its doctor gave him
- 55:25Speaker 1: the green light to return to normal activity, I couldn't
- 55:28Speaker 1: wait for our sex life to get back to normal,
- 55:31Speaker 1: but it has not. My honey is afraid of doing
- 55:35Speaker 1: any kind of strenuous activities, and if we do have sex,
- 55:38Speaker 1: he holds back and I end up doing all of
- 55:41Speaker 1: the work. We used to role play and run around
- 55:44Speaker 1: the house, but not anymore. It's just regular intimacy now
- 55:48Speaker 1: in our bedroom, and we don't do it that often.
- 55:52Speaker 1: I feel like if he doesn't use it, I'm going
- 55:54Speaker 1: to lose it. I can't take the way he's rationing
- 55:57Speaker 1: out sex. We used to have had lots of good
- 56:00Speaker 1: years ahead of us, and I don't know what he's
- 56:03Speaker 1: afraid of. Oh and yes, everything still works just fine.
- 56:07Speaker 1: He does not have any problems with that. So how
- 56:10Speaker 1: can I get him just to relax and rock my
- 56:12Speaker 1: world like he used to? Are you freaking kidding me
- 56:16Speaker 1: with this? Ladder man? Okay, but I mean, you know
- 56:22Speaker 1: seventy five? Who you know seventy five is a new
- 56:25Speaker 1: forty five? Maybe I don't know, but that's the way
- 56:28Speaker 1: you guys are doing it. But yeah, you had a
- 56:31Speaker 1: problem with the knee replacement surgery. Then you had to
- 56:33Speaker 1: have your hip replaced, so you had to wait a
- 56:35Speaker 1: while till it was back to normal. You did other things,
- 56:38Speaker 1: you said to keep the fire going in the meantime.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Then he had a hard problem and had to have
- 56:44Speaker 1: a pacemaker put in. Well when the doctor cleared him.
- 56:48Speaker 1: He still doesn't want to go at it like he
- 56:50Speaker 1: used to because he doesn't want to overheat and have
- 56:52Speaker 1: a heart attack, which is perfectly understandable because in our
- 56:57Speaker 1: minds we think at seventy five that you should be
- 57:00Speaker 1: slowing down. Anyway, I thought that anyway, I did, But
- 57:05Speaker 1: this letter is proving me wrong. But I will say
- 57:08Speaker 1: this though, Carla Junior. Yes, uh huh, now we know
- 57:12Speaker 1: why Jay was out. I just figured it out. Yeah, Steve,
- 57:23Speaker 1: I got this. I don't know how old you are,
- 57:31Speaker 1: j And I do not think there's sixty five seventy
- 57:34Speaker 1: five by any stretch of imagine a close but he closed.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Oh no you're not. He ain't that right around now
- 57:43Speaker 1: because he never really told us why. But that about me? Yeah,
- 57:49Speaker 1: I see it a little one, but I see it
- 57:53Speaker 1: all through the ladder though. I see it. Yeah. But
- 57:59Speaker 1: but the good thing is you're right. You do have
- 58:01Speaker 1: lots of good years ahead of you. And uh, I
- 58:04Speaker 1: do know what he's afraid of if if he has
- 58:06Speaker 1: heart problems and he doesn't want to have a heart attack,
- 58:09Speaker 1: I think that would make any normal human being a
- 58:12Speaker 1: slow up a little bit. So, um, you know, if
- 58:14Speaker 1: you still want your man around for all these good
- 58:18Speaker 1: years that you say you have ahead of you, I
- 58:20Speaker 1: think you guys should take it a little easy, just
- 58:22Speaker 1: like when you had to, you know, rest up and
- 58:24Speaker 1: recuperate when you had your hip replacement and knee surgery
- 58:27Speaker 1: and you found other things to keep the fire going.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Just be a little more creative, find some other things
- 58:33Speaker 1: to do, you know, so and take it slowly. Okay,
- 58:37Speaker 1: take it slow, and you know, you guys can both
- 58:41Speaker 1: relax and rock each other's world. Okay, you do have
- 58:44Speaker 1: a lot of living to do, and I'm happy that
- 58:46Speaker 1: to know that at seventy five you can still you know,
- 58:49Speaker 1: get busy like this. My goodness, this is really something.
- 58:52Speaker 1: So go ahead and do you boo, but slow it
- 58:56Speaker 1: down just a little bit. Okay, that is my advice. Yes,
- 59:01Speaker 1: thank you. No journ come on, wasn't what I thought. Uh.
- 59:11Speaker 1: First of all, I'm probably the youngest in here. You
- 59:14Speaker 1: my my image that I got in my head. It's
- 59:17Speaker 1: not good for me. I'm thinking about my grandmother in here.
- 59:22Speaker 1: This is not what I need to be hearing my
- 59:25Speaker 1: grandmother about seventy five. I cannot. This is like a RP.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Love it. This is medalaide love it. They do metal hips,
- 59:38Speaker 1: metal knees, and a pacemaker. This is dangerous because that
- 59:42Speaker 1: means there's some equipment that's hooked up in this room.
- 59:46Speaker 1: You got to be concerned that this socket don't overheat.
- 59:50Speaker 1: You gotta you gotta have a breathing machine in here.
- 59:53Speaker 1: That's probably gotta be uh what you call us? Some
- 59:55Speaker 1: wheelchairs in here, some walkers going on holess walk and
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: let me get behind. You can't do this. There's really
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: some different type of loving they're doing. Yeah, they gotta
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: nurse gotta come in and break them up. They got
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: a lot of stuff happening in here, you know what
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I'm saying. They doctor gotta kel what happened. They know
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: they're not supposed to be doing. This is very dangerous.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: This is very dif and she man, it's not enough.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Oh oh my god, knew it's seventy five. You're not
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Come on, Yeah, I'm nervous. I mean I'm not mad.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: It gives everybody hope. I think. I think it's an
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: encouraging letter. But man, we want you guys to be
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: around for a while. Somebody is probably in the room.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: I'm just saying somebody's breathing, but somebody is. It's a
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: machine in here, Yes, Robert, it's just dangerous. Yeah. She
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: wants to know. How can she get him to just relax?
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: He is relaxed, Yeah, and rock your world. That may
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: not ever happen. He may not ever be able to
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: rock your world like he used to. You know, like
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: I said, find another way to do it, like you
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: guys did when you were recovering from your knee replacement
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: and hip replacement. Jeez, I've never said that referring to
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: sex before. Yeah. All right, Look, we'll have part two
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: of our responses coming up, and we'll hear from Jay,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: the letter writer. The We'll be back at twenty three
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: after the hour right after this you're listening to We're back.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry letter and get into Jay's response subject.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I need him to use it before I lose it.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: A woman wrote in UM, I'm a to her woman
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: seventy five. She's seventy five and her partner seventy five.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: They're in a great relationship. They have been in once
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: for about fifteen years. She said when they met, they
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: hit it off right away, courted a while before they
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: became intimate. They must have read Steve's book and did
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: that ninety day rule, although she didn't say that, but
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: she did wait a while. She said the sex was
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: great and it was the glue that held their relationship together.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: She said everything was fine until he had to have
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: knee replacement surgery. Then she had to have hip replacement surgery.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: They're both seventy five, remember, So then they had to recuperate,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: so in the meantime they had to find other things
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: to do to keep themselves occupied until they, you know,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: got back together, you know, got themselves back together. Everything
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: was fine until a year ago when he started having
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: heart problems. Then you know, he had to get a
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: pacemaker put in, and then they had to slow it
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: down again. So girlfriend is upset because you know, what
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: she's used to is what she's used to, you know,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and she's used to them role playing and running all
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: around the house and everything, and they're not doing that
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: anymore because he slowed down, He's saying, She sang now
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: she just wants him to relax, and she wants him
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: to rock her world like he used to. But that's
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: not happening. Yeah, you're up. Okay, here's a problem. You
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: got a bad hip. Yeah what else you got? Bad knee?
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Bad knee, bad heart? Pacemaker? You got a paceman. So
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: what they need to do is read the manual on
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: these parts and see what they can do with him. Okay,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: what do you read me any anytime you get parts
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: like this, they give you a manual and how much
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: stress you can put on a heart, hip and a knee. Oh,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: this guy's being selfish. He's not reading the manual. He's
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: not he's not reading what he can do, Like, he
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: don't know how much weight he can put on his
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: knee because he hadn't read a manual. Yeah, he doesn't
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: want to die. Does a manual that comes with it? Charley?
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: He ain't reading it. He ain't reading it. He just
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: going out there, Nilly Willie. You can't do that reading
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: the manual. Every time you get apart from anywhere, they
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: give you a manual how to take care of it,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: how much dress you can put on it, how much weight?
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Take that heart? MANU read it. See what you can
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: how you can take it up a level? Get holding back? Yeah,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: she said, they didn't give him my heart. With where
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: he's holding, he could take it up from me two
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: or three notches doing that. I see her frustration. He
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: got a perfectly brand new heart and he pushing it.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: He needs to push that thing. You push that knee.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: You don't think there's any should be any concern on
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: his part with a pacemaker. She doesn't want to do
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: anything strenuous with his knees. They took the old part out,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and she has every voiceman she is. She gonna still
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: be able to run around the room like she used
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to doing all of that. Everybody got to read their manual.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: It ain't just have him out. It ain't just a
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: bout him before they start doing it again. You got
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: your manual. I got my manual. Let's read see what
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I do? Ain't They licked their thumb and what bade
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you on? You know how you look over them glasses?
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: You know what bade you on? I'm on page seven,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: said be then read the let me see, let me
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: where you see see that far? Okay? And they're not
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: making regular little they really really active run around the
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: room role playing. Yeah, yeah, they're role playing. Yeah, because
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: they're seventies. They're not running fast. It's not like a
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: high speed friend. Like like like Junior and tell me
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: when they they give you a list of dudes and
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: don't and he did not read I got this place, marker.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: We can't make love with it raining that lightning mycfro.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I mean, this is just I just find this encouraging
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: because they're broke seventy five. I just find it encouraging. Yeah, huh, yeah,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: it's like that old joke was a niece asked her grandmama, hold,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: you have to get before you don't want to have sex,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: and when the grandma was one hundred and five, huh,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: grandmama said, well, I don't know, you have to ask
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: somebody older than me, because I'm still I'm still uh,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I'm still won't wow. Wow. But Junior's right there. When
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: you think about your parents or your grandparents, you're just
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: like they You don't you don't want to think about that.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: You don't want to robbing what they do. They roll.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I know my grandmama was active. I knew it, Joe,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I knew she was getting it on my grandmama was
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: getting a home. How do you know that mister James
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: would come to our house and sit in the chair. Right,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: And when we went to man, mister James was still
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: be in that chair. Right. We woke up, she was
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: still sitting in the chair. But his ship was on
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: going on. Where was your grandmother? My grandma was cooking
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: in breakfast now again, Yeah, Jane cook us a damn day.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: But mister Jane, that breakfast? Yeah? Wow, you know when
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: your grandparents are getting bit I never you knew my
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: grandmother she come out of her slip. I knew something.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: You see a slip? Where where you move? Where's your movie? Now?
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: You got your slip around front of everybody? Okay, all right?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Do people even wear slips anymore? They do? What? I
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: don't even get me talking about my parents? Oh my god?
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: What brown? Brown? Brown? Oh my god, I don't want
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: to think about it. You would hear it. You would
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: hear the dude next to me, the next great brown
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: that explains so much. Don't about memory? Oh brown, oh brown?
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Everybody's last night? And what did they build it? I'm
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: hearing knocking? Are they build it? All? Right? Email as
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: your Instagram as a lot in your thoughts of today's
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: strawberry letter at C Harvey FM. Coming up in ten minutes.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Act actress Laurie Laughlin faces new charges and next Monday
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: is April fifteen? Tax Day? Have you filed yet? Can
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: anybody say? I can't found my Texas? Right? All right,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: we'll be back right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Laurie Lauslin, the actress and her
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: husband Massimo Gianelli were indicted yesterday on conspiracy to commit
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: mail and wire fraud as well as a new charge
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: of money laundering. Now, yeah, this is crazy, man, This
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: is really According to TMZ, now, the new charge drastically
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: increases the amount of time the couple would get as
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: a minimum recommended sendence sentence on its own. The money
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: laundering charge carries a maximum twenty year sentence, so all
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: in all they could get up to forty years in prison.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: This is a lot, man. Even with a plea bargain,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: they're looking at a minimum of four to six years
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: behind bars. This comes a day after actress Felicity Huffman
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: copped a plea in her case, along with twelve other parents.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: The former Desperate Housewives star could get as little as
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: four months uh in jail. Timz says all the parents
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: in the cheating scandal have been offered plea deals, but
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: they all came with prison time attached. Wow that's a lot.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, you know. And and
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: a lot of people are criticizing because if you see
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: clips of her going in the courtroom and stuff, she's
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: all chipper and happy and coming out signing autographs and stuff.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: You know, she don't realize Yeah, And and they're saying
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: that is she taking this seriously? It does she think
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: that her money will be able to buy her out
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: of this as well got him into school, so she
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: probably thinks the same thing. Yeah yeah, Or she's just
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: trying to put on a good face, you know. Yeah,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: you know, you never know, you don't know what's in
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: her head. But bottom line is man, that that's some
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: serious time they could be facing. Um, you know, and
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: they they've lived such a charmed life, you know. But again,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: like a lot of other people say that they have
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: broken the law. I was laughing at people. Yeah, they
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: have broken the law and they should pay. Yeah what
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: do you guys think? Should they do time? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: you should I'm kind of halfway up, I'm touring to
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I can I say this because here's the thing. Schools
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: are in the business to make money. They have to
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: make money, and if they make it over the table,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: under the table, it helps them stay afloat. I really
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: don't see anything wrong with paying money because that's what
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: that's what schools do. If you pay a lot of money,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: your kids gonna get in well, you get about right,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: that's just the right way to do it. But it happens, yeah,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: the legitimate way of the legal way. But the thing
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: about it is is that and then when you think
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: about people that you know that have tried and work
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: so hard hard to try to get in school, that's
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: the other part of it. You know, they've tried so hard,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: they work so hard, they get turned down, you know,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: or something they can't they can't they don't have the money,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: you know, or I mean, it's just something and that's why. Yeah,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: it's just made it. Yeah, when you wrote the Chick,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: did you know you was breaking the law? Absolutely? Yes,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, okay, then yeah, absolutely absolutely. And don't
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: you think though the school some responsibility? Yes, yes, yeah,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: and this as well, So I don't but you don't
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: get in unless somebody helps you, you know, Yeah, administrate
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: that money and where did that money go? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: the school should be penalized too. Yeah, listeny Hoffman said,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: you know, I heard that they were saying that they
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: were brainwashed by this guy and the promises that he
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: was making and things like that. I was reading an
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: article about it yesterday. So there, and then, as as parents,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: you do want the absolute best for your children. You'll
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: do practically anything for your kids. Yeah. So it is
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: a tough one and I am somewhat somewhat torn, you know. Yeah,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I know what can I just I went to trade
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: school and all you had to do was show up.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: You don't have to dribe nobody. Now, you know what
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: you want to get in trade school, You get your
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: hands in. Nobody's turned down from trade? Is that where
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: you learned to make the pants with no pocket? Taylor?
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: You know, I'm on team time, and nobody's on my
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: We all are on your team. I'm still happy your back, Jake,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: get out of here. Don't play the sympathy kurt with us. Yeah.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: I don't know. I might have to look into this
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: because I might have to do the same thing. What
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: my deputa shows no problems. This boy is the lever
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: the grade he received a letter from a college. Yeah,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I'm not pretty judged. I might have to pay the
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: job code. What happens They go to school where you
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: pay them to get in, right, and they graduate with
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: a degree and they show up on their job and
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: they don't know a damn thing. And a person's been
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: at twenty years, got to train their dumb heads, right,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: and you become their boss. You become their boss. And
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: that's cycle. And that has happened, right, and that has
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: becomes That's what I mean. They become your boss. They
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: that this has been happening since the beginning of time. People,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: they just these people just got caught. They just got caught. Yeah,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: it's been going on. I mean so many people, probably
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: people that you talked to every day, who knows if
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: they cheated or not on their SATs or whatever. You know,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: you don't know. They didn't hurt about kids being paid
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: to take other students. Yeah, you take tests for them,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: all of that. He does turn papers for a living.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: That's his job. Yes, absolutely, yeah, well around, yeah it is.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: These people just got caught. Yeah, but I mean a
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: lot of people say, hey, Martha Stewart had to do
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: some time. You know if they were black, would they
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: have had would they do some time? Well? They all
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: those teachers down in Georgia and the school. Yeah remember that.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: I remember that Jay that was that was a good point.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: That was a huge story when I moved to Atlanta
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: from LA That was what was going on in the news.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Yeah that's sure. Yeah, lock them up bullole house to
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: the big house. Yeah, us lights outlips. Yeah, you go here,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: uh huh. You gonna eat your cord bread? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: you gonna eat your You ain't getting my comb read.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: A lot of people are asking, even will these ladies
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: still be able to act and do their jobs whenen
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: get out? Will they get hired? Were the biggest role
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: is coming up? I'll tell you what episode of Desperate Housewise,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Felicity Hoffman's character their son tried to get into a
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: school and they want to make a donation. So you
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: talk about art imite. Yeah, they probably got that storyline
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: from her. All Right, all right, we'll be back with
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. Yeah,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: behind the line, you're listening to the stew all right, guys,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: here's some trending, really really weird stories. This one out
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: of Florida. Florida woman showed some serious spirit when she
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: interrupted a Spirit Airlines flight by knocking back a few
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: drinks and twerky this visual though and twerking while flashing
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: her fellow passengers. Okay. Woman had settled in for a
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: trip from Orlando to Newark, New Jersey, when she decided
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: to liven things up with a little mid flight meltdown.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: The freak out started when a flight attendant asked her
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: to put away her phone. I request that caused her
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: to dial up the anger by shouting obscenities and punching
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: the damn out right right ye me and jamuth phone.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: She started cursing, punching the heck out of the overhead
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: luggage compartment. What right. When she noticed several fellow flyers
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: recording her on their phone, she began fling this out. Okay,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: when they turned their phones on, that's when she started
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: flashing her breath and telling it and what a wreck,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: and and she began flashing her breath and telling them
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: to keep taping because she'd give them a real show. Okay,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you ain't seen nothing yet. People. Other people on the
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: plane didn't seem to mind too much. One of them said,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: you're so trashy. I love it. She was Spirit Airline juniative.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: They paid for that when they landed, because everything they
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: really I've never been on Spirit for what. Thank you?
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: You can charge for a phone, say everything. Man, they
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: don't feed you or anything, no different. Yeah, it's great.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: You get what you paid for. And then bring your
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: own pocket. You can save some money. You don't take
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: no luggage, bring your own snacks. Anyway, the lady was
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: escorted off the jet, needless to say, okay, all right,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: here's another weird one. Something that's trending for you. Some
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: cooks say the secret ingredient and their recipes is love.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: That's what some cooks say. Okay. But a maid in
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Ghana didn't get hers from from her heart. She says
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: she got hers from her bladder. Oh. The woman identified
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: only as Amelia was caught putting her urine into a
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: dinner she was preparing for her boss, and she willingly
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: admitted that it was intentional. It's a tangy tasted Yeah,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: she meant to do that attitude and this is a
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: crazy part. She did it on the advice of her mom.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Her mother told her to do it. When authorities were
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: called to her workplace, she said that Mama told me
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: he would marry me if I did that. For one
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: year what? She lost her job, but there's no word
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: on how the incident impacted her love life or her
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: police record. Yeah, well yeah, yeah, that's that's like the
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: movie to Help It well, not as bad as a
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: movie to Help. Yeah, she got fired, but there's no
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: word on helped impacted her love Like, yeah, Jay, you're bid.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I'm sure it's safe to say she was. Yeah, I
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: think she has a police record in everything. So, which
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: one of these did you like better? The twerking flashing
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: lady on the Spirit Airlines or the lady who put
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: urine in her busses? Uh? I like the dinner good Stories.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: There's a lot of angels. Yeah, yeah, I can't do Wow.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I like the airline one because she didn't care and no,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: she didn't give a damn. That visual is crazy. No,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: keep filming me, keep taking it so you cannot encourage
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: a drunk you can, it's real ja. Wow, I just
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: I'm just here for the tworking on the play. I'm
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: just here for Yeah, ye say, the only thing about
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: to take off, take the top off. And then one
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: person said, you're so trashy. I love it, love it,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: love it. That spirit a last for you right there.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I might have to take a trip on the spirit
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: only if they can get the tworking lady back. Only only.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: But man, this is your captain speaking. There is a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: show going on to this. But wait a minute, captain,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: can I just say about the other story. I thought
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: she was putting urine in his dinner because she made
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: he made her mad Man's upset about him with him
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: about something, not because she was trying to get with
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: him based on the advice from her mama. And how
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: long was she cooking for him? Her mom told her
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: to do it for a year. Oh man, it just
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: don't taste taste yeah, yeah, what you're doing different to
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: your chicken noodle suit. Your broth is different. Yeah, that's
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: what you know. I mean normally when you hear stories
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: like this, yeah, yeah, but she's trying to get him
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: to marry her. Oh my gosh. Wow, if you do
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: that to man, what you do to break up? Okay,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: right when you're trying to get revenge? Wow? Wow? Man,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Oh okay, Well, what I got out of this is
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I definitely will be flying on spirit. Yeah, that is it. Wow.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: All right, and be careful of the advice you take
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: from your mom. All right, coming up more of the
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: the Steve Show. All right, guys. According to a new study,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: guys are more likely than women to want to live
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: past their average expected lifespan, which is eighty one for
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: women and seventy seven for men. Alright. Researchers found that
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the older you get, the more likely you are to
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: want to live longer. Well that makes sense, that makes sense. Yeah, right,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: we don't want to die. Yeah, health is I mean,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: we know we're going to Health is a big deal.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Of course. You got to take care of yourselves. You
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: don't want to be old and unhealthy. You just don't
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: want that mix. Yeah. So, I mean, I think we've
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: talked about this before on the show. We've gone around
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: the room. How long do you think you really want
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: to live? How long? Any interest in living past a
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: hundred years old? I'm in the words of don DC Curry,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I want to be a problem to my kids, So
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: however long it takes however, a long clean me, washed me,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: feed me, yes, because that's what I want. Well, we
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: used to do it to them, James dad, Yeah, that's who.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Don't check me? Boom yeah he one of y'all. Ten,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: come on, he got another doctors of ployment, one of y'all.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: I don't know. When I was younger, I used to
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: say eighty five ish something like that. I used to
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: say that, but but after reading the Strawberry Letter, and
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: they were twenty five, seventy five, I mean, and still
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: getting busy. Yeah yeah, I mean yeah, hundred Okay, I'm good. Yeah,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: a hundred yeah nice, even round number a century. Yeah,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: I'll still have pink hair like they know, she too
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: all over that hand. Yeah like whatever. Who cares? Yeah yeah,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: who cares? How old Junior? You think? Every day? I
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: get right now? Pretty good? Yeah. The city I was
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: supposed to live past a living Oh so right now? Yeah,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I'm just saying just right now. Yeah, that is that's real.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: That's why Junior is so happy all the time, all
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: the time. I tell you this all time too. And
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: me and Jay was in off We talked sometimes. I
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: tell him, you know, he'd be asked about since I
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: said yeah, man, I sit up. But see when you know,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: almost dad seven times really kind of hard for a
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: light deal to bring you down. Number goes up. Yeah,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: every time he tells us, yeah, because he just said seven, yeah,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: just seven times, because you know last time, you know,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: it was you know, seven, but now it's ten times.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: You know, I'm that's life being really really can't really
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: bring you down. Yeah, I don't have that attitude. Yeah.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: He never see Junior in a bad movie ever bad,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: but you don't see in a bad move ever. Never
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: look at look at look at happy Jay. You have
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: seen j baboo. Yeah yeah, because yeah when he was Yeah,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: hence the name bitterman. He don't be in a bad mooo.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: He did bitter, he didn't bad move, but look at happy.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: He got all ten toes, he got all tenef scheme
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: missing nothing Jay good Yeah, wow wow Yeah, um what
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: about you carline hundred two? I think you said, you
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: know one on two sounds good good, one O three Yeah.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: I think Steve said one hundred and four. Yeah, I
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: think he said a hundred and four. Yeah. The food, nephew.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: I think Tommy doesn't think he's gonna die. I really
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: think that. Yeah, I don't know. I think so. Yeah,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: time's gonna be the old man at the church with
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: with the walker and the fanny pag Yeah, yeah, yeah wow.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: And women still live longer than men, they do. Yeah,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: but sometimes men died just to get away. That's a
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: whole difference story. Whatever. Whatever, it's time for us to
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: get away right now. We'll be back with more of
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this you're listening
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: to show. Nipsey Hustle's mom shared some words of encouragement
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: for those who continue to mourn her her son's death.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Missus Angelique Smith was on camera and she assured fans
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: that she is strong and she wants to encourage Nipsey's
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: fans to do the same. Take a listen, and you see, students,
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: don't fear. When you live your life and you have
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: God on your side, when God dwells inside of you,
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: there's no fear. Everything is in perfect order. Everything is
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: in the divine, perfect order of our creator, and we
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: have perfect peace. I have perfect peace, and I have strength,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: and I want to lift you up. Please do not
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: stay down, do not stay not mourn, because Nipsey is great,
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: is the great, He is the Great, and now he
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: is even greater because he has no bounds and no limits.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: His energy is everywhere he can touch. He's there with
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: you now and he's here with me now. And please
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: be encouraged. Wow, encourage you from Nipsey Hustle's mom, Miss
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: angel Smith. Nipsey's memorial service will be tomorrow at the
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: Staples Center in Los Angeles, the same place where Michael
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: Jackson's funeral was. Then after that there will be a
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: professional to follow traveling through parts of South Central in
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Los Angeles. Rest in peace, Nipsey Hustle. Wow. Wow for
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: his mother to have lost her son and to be
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: so strong and encourage her son's fans all over the
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: world to be strong, And that's just amazing. It is,
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: it is simply amazing. I mean, she's a strong woman. Yeah,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: there are no words, I mean, and she's she sounded
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: so encouraging. It makes you feel like you can do it,
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: you know, yeah, very much. So yeah, you know yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: It reminded me when, um, I think we mentioned this
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: off the air when Biggie passed away and his funeral
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: prossession went through Brooklyn. You know, yeah, uh yeah, it'll
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: be quite a day tomorrow, Yeah, tomorrow, and still praying
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: for Lauren London, Yes, and the family, the children, Yes, yeah,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: and the children. This is just a heartbreaking story. Like
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: you know, we're all still grieving, and you know, just
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: like his mother just said, we got to be strong,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: and I know, I'm I am amazed at her strength.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: I mean amazed. I mean we keep going back to that.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: But wow, she could still grieve right now and we
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: wouldn't even have a problem. Yeah. Absolutely, yeah, I say that. Yeah,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: I mean that strong. Yeah, yeah, it is. Yeah, it
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: is for all parents out there who lost a child.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: You know that that's out of order that you bury
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: your children. So I can't imagine, yeah, which is what
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: she's going through. But again, we can gather we can
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: gather strength from her. We can gather strength from her.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: So and we are asked and um, everyone is asking
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: that please let it be peaceful on Thursday. Please, um,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: just remember that what the man stood for, Nipsey Hustle.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: He was about empowerment in peace and community, you know,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: and unity and community and uplifting the community. So let's
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: just have a peaceful tribute and honor as we lay
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: this man to rest on Thursday. All right, we're gonna
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: move move on and switch gears here up next. Steve
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: left us with some closing remarks right after this. You're
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: listening too. We love to hear your inspirational closing remarks. Steve,
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: your motivational closing remarks. And for us today, I got
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: will for you today I own. I think it's important
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: that everybody, everybody really really up your expectations. I mean
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: really really, folks, focus on upping your expectations for two
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: thousand this year, really put a positive twist on your life.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: You can do that, man, you can. You can up
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: your expectations. You have to say so in your outcome.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: But you have to adjust the attitude. You've got to
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: think positive. You've got to focus on the positive things
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: that's happening in your life. You have to take inventory
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: constantly of everything that's going right in your life. Stop
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: focusing on the negative. Everybody got something wrong. That's not
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: a person living that ain't got something wrong. So what
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: Yeah you got something wrong. Yeah you're not where you
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: want to be, But guess what you can be on
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: your way. And that's the thing that people lose focus of.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: Sometimes they get so caught up into where they are
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: now that they lose focus on the where they could
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: be going, where you're headed, where you're at now, let
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: me explain something to you about right now. Right now
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: is a very fleeting moment because let's say you're talking
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: about something now, do you know in just want sixty
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: seconds is now a part of the past. It doesn't
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: matter where you are, it's where you're going. Don't get
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: stuck in where you are. Somebody sent me a plaque
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: one time, and I keep it on my desk in Atlanta,
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: and I was going through a real, real, real dog
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: period in my life. And he's a friend of mine
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: and he knew it. He's an accountant as a matter
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: of fact. It's Roger Salted, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: my financial up in Chicago, and he knew I was
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: going through a dog dog period in my life. And
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: he sent me a plaque and I keep it on
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: my desk, and the plaque said, when you're going through hell,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: just keep going. And that register with me, because why
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: would you be going through hell and stop there? So
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: you're just gonna put it on park in the middle
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: of hell? Or doesn't make sense to keep going because
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: it just ties into what I'm telling you. It doesn't
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: matter where you are, it's where you're going. You've got
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: to get your focus to move in the right direction.
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you the scripture again in case all
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: of you is something I read all the time. It's
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Epheesians three twenty, and I read it every day. You know,
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: I memorize it. But it says God will do exceedingly
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: and abundantly above all that I ask or think, because
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: I honor Him, His blessings will chase me down and
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: overtake me. I will be in the right place at
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: the right time. People will go out of their way
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: to be good to me. I am surrounded by God's favor.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: This is my declaration. If you read this every day
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: and you implement this once again, it's Ephesians three twenty.
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: Now I got the Bible with the four different translations
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: in it, so I can understand what I'm saying. So
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: this is not the King James version I gave you.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: It's a translation of what it actually means. But memorizing
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: the scripture for how what it means is what you need.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: You don't got to go word for word. You need
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: to get the meaning of it. Don't trip on that
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: other part right there. But if you incorporate this in
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: your life on a day to day, you be amazed
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: what can happen to you. You all can put your
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: life into the realm of expectation. I expect good things
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: to happen to me. Even when something bad happens to me,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: I still look for something good to happen to me,
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: and it always does. I don't care what mistake I've made.
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: God has always gotten me through it, and He's done
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: the exact same thing for you. He's always gotten you
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: through it. Just look at your life. All that stuff
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: you thought you wasn't gonna make it through, he got you, man,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: He pulled you through it somehow, all them days you
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: didn't think you was gonna make it. You remember where
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: you was, and then look at where you at now. Now.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: If you think that you're in a worst place now
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: than you were in your past, why don't you get
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: back to that Expect something good to happen to you.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Live a life filled with positive expectations. Don't do not
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: bury yourself by going through hell and then staying there.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: Some people cannot get out of their misery because they
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: won't quit acknowledging the misery. Look, if the Bible says
