- 1:44Speaker 9: to turn mouth turn out, turn the water the water.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Look, come on, come on, you'll think.
- 2:01Speaker 10: Uh huh, I said, will good morning everybody. You all
- 2:05Speaker 10: listening to the voice, come on dig me now, one
- 2:09Speaker 10: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, old man,
- 2:12Speaker 10: oh Man symbolizes just one thing to me. Man, It's
- 2:16Speaker 10: just a constant remind of exactly how good God has.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Been to me over the years.
- 2:21Speaker 10: And I'm thanking for it too, because I realize every
- 2:24Speaker 10: day that I wake up that I would be nothing
- 2:26Speaker 10: without Him. That everything I am, that's any good in me,
- 2:31Speaker 10: I owe to him.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:32Speaker 10: Have I made some mistakes along the way? Yep, bunches,
- 2:37Speaker 10: bunches and bunches. And will I continue to make mistakes
- 2:41Speaker 10: along the way?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yep?
- 2:44Speaker 10: Not as many, hopefully as I have in the past,
- 2:48Speaker 10: because a lot of stuff I know better now. But
- 2:51Speaker 10: you're still going to make mistakes now, you know, hopefully
- 2:56Speaker 10: I've limited the amount of intentional error in my life.
- 3:01Speaker 10: I've wiped quite a few of those out. But from
- 3:04Speaker 10: time to time, because we're human, we're going to make
- 3:07Speaker 10: a mistake every now and then.
- 3:09Speaker 2: The trick, what it is, y'all, is.
- 3:11Speaker 10: Not to let the devil deceive you into thinking that
- 3:14Speaker 10: once you make that mistake that that's it. You can't
- 3:17Speaker 10: do it. You're falling off the wagon. You can't reboard it.
- 3:21Speaker 10: That's the biggest trick that he uses. He makes you
- 3:24Speaker 10: think that if you keep stumbling, that you can't run
- 3:30Speaker 10: the race. It kind of reminds me of a marathon runner.
- 3:36Speaker 10: From time to time, I watch them on TV, and
- 3:39Speaker 10: you'll see some people who finish the race, you know,
- 3:44Speaker 10: in a nice pace. You see people finish the race
- 3:49Speaker 10: sprinting towards the finished line. But every now and then
- 3:53Speaker 10: you'll watch a marathon and you'll see a runner and
- 3:57Speaker 10: the runner is in really, really a bad shape. The
- 4:02Speaker 10: key is they finish the race. See, you don't get
- 4:09Speaker 10: disqualified in the marathon because you stumble.
- 4:13Speaker 2: You don't. They don't.
- 4:14Speaker 10: They don't take your opportunity to finish the race because
- 4:19Speaker 10: you keep falling.
- 4:21Speaker 2: That's not the key. The key is finishing.
- 4:25Speaker 10: And a lot of times what the devil does is
- 4:27Speaker 10: he makes you think that because you keep stumbling, because
- 4:31Speaker 10: you're swaying from side to side, that you know you
- 4:35Speaker 10: out the race. Well, that's not the case. And see
- 4:39Speaker 10: and then this thing called life. Let me help you
- 4:41Speaker 10: understand something. Everybody falls, Nobody sprints to the tape in
- 4:45Speaker 10: this one. Nobody just runs free and clear. That has
- 4:49Speaker 10: some people running faster than you and all like this,
- 4:52Speaker 10: and some people gonna get to the end before you
- 4:54Speaker 10: let them go ahead. And when the end come, the
- 4:57Speaker 10: end come. I ain't in the rust. You get to
- 4:58Speaker 10: the end. But in this race, though, when you're stumbling
- 5:02Speaker 10: and you're falling, it's a part of it. No one
- 5:06Speaker 10: gets through this race without stumbling and falling, swaying from
- 5:09Speaker 10: side to side. So don't let the enemy deceive you
- 5:13Speaker 10: in the thinking that it's over. I try to be
- 5:18Speaker 10: encouraging to people because I don't want people to get
- 5:22Speaker 10: stuck on this thing, you know. And my walk is
- 5:25Speaker 10: very different from a lot of people's walks. And then
- 5:27Speaker 10: I know a lot of people who walking in faith
- 5:29Speaker 10: the way I'm walking in faith. But my thing in
- 5:32Speaker 10: the morning is just to remind those that is not
- 5:35Speaker 10: a perfect walk man, that it's not something that's set
- 5:39Speaker 10: up where you're gonna be skipping through life scott free
- 5:43Speaker 10: without any pitfalls. You know, I keep saying it over
- 5:46Speaker 10: and over and over again because, like I said, when
- 5:48Speaker 10: I was in DC, my boy Hondo said this to
- 5:52Speaker 10: me and it just kind of stuck with me that
- 5:54Speaker 10: the road to construct, the road to success is always
- 5:58Speaker 10: under construction. Have to figure and count on the setbacks
- 6:03Speaker 10: and the pitfalls. But it's those people that that that
- 6:07Speaker 10: that are that fight through will be the victors in
- 6:10Speaker 10: the end. You cannot give up, man, Stop going somewhere
- 6:14Speaker 10: and sitting down every time something goes down. It's going
- 6:19Speaker 10: to go down. It's a part of it. It's going
- 6:22Speaker 10: to happen. It's going to occur that are going to
- 6:26Speaker 10: be setbacks. If you go and sit down every time
- 6:29Speaker 10: there's a setback, that's not how this works.
- 6:33Speaker 2: It is designed that way.
- 6:35Speaker 10: If success were easy, everybody would be successful. But success
- 6:41Speaker 10: is just reserved for those who are willing to fight through,
- 6:45Speaker 10: who refuse to settle for mediocrity, who wants something more. Now,
- 6:51Speaker 10: don't get me wrong. Success is defined by each individual
- 6:56Speaker 10: so what I may consider to be successful, you may
- 6:58Speaker 10: not consider that. You know what Bill Gates considered successful.
- 7:03Speaker 10: I might not consider what Michael Jordan considered successful. I
- 7:07Speaker 10: might not consider what you consider successful. Your boss might
- 7:11Speaker 10: not consider. You have to define what that is for yourself.
- 7:15Speaker 10: It may not be monetary at all. You know, your
- 7:19Speaker 10: level of success could be tied up in community service.
- 7:22Speaker 10: It could be tied up in family. It could be
- 7:25Speaker 10: tied up in the church. Your level of success could
- 7:28Speaker 10: be tied up into boys clubs. It could be any
- 7:31Speaker 10: number of things. Whatever your level of success is, you
- 7:36Speaker 10: have to determine what that is you and the best
- 7:38Speaker 10: way to determine that is to get in touch with
- 7:42Speaker 10: your maker, who created you, to find out what your
- 7:46Speaker 10: mission and your purpose is so he can put you
- 7:49Speaker 10: on track. I just had this conversation with my son
- 7:53Speaker 10: and we were talking about getting on the.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Path that God has set up for you.
- 8:00Speaker 10: Many times we find ourselves fighting through life because of
- 8:03Speaker 10: so much uncertainty, because we have no idea where we're headed.
- 8:09Speaker 10: It's like one of my sayings that I have at
- 8:14Speaker 10: my mentoring camp for boys is is that a boy
- 8:18Speaker 10: without a male role model is like an explorer without
- 8:22Speaker 10: a map. See if you don't have a map laid
- 8:28Speaker 10: out in front of you of where you're going when
- 8:32Speaker 10: you wake up every day, that pretty much explains the
- 8:36Speaker 10: feeling of confusion, the laxadaisical attitude, the lack of purpose,
- 8:44Speaker 10: to not understanding your mission because you don't have not
- 8:49Speaker 10: gotten in touch with your creator to find out exactly
- 8:53Speaker 10: what your path in life is. What are you supposed
- 8:57Speaker 10: to be doing? The moment you can identify that is
- 9:01Speaker 10: the moment that you get started waking up with purpose,
- 9:04Speaker 10: with the sense of direction. When you kill the sense
- 9:08Speaker 10: of I don't know what's next or what to do. Now,
- 9:11Speaker 10: there's going to be some confusing moments no matter what happened,
- 9:14Speaker 10: it's going to be some uncertainty, but at least you'll
- 9:16Speaker 10: know where you're going. So if you tied awaking up
- 9:19Speaker 10: feeling loss, abandon confuse, don't know what to do, don't
- 9:24Speaker 10: know what you're supposed to be doing, refer back to
- 9:29Speaker 10: your makeup. Because when He created you, he had a
- 9:33Speaker 10: plan for you. When he created you, he had a
- 9:36Speaker 10: path for you. Now we've made some decisions to get
- 9:40Speaker 10: off of both of those, the mission and the path.
- 9:43Speaker 2: But God can get you right back on track.
- 9:46Speaker 10: Do that today, ask him what you're supposed to be doing,
- 9:51Speaker 10: and listen. God has all the answers if you form
- 9:55Speaker 10: the relationship. Okay, show, ladies and gentlemen, here we are
- 10:04Speaker 10: another day, another opportunity. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:08Speaker 10: You are with some of our favorite people.
- 10:10Speaker 2: You are a dedicated listening audience. Even if you ain't dedicated,
- 10:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna call you that. I don't give you damn.
- 10:17Speaker 10: If you listen there and now and then long as
- 10:20Speaker 10: we can count you, you good with us.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I know you ain't here every morning. Some of you are. Hell.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I don't want to be here every morning.
- 10:29Speaker 10: Sometimes I want to rake up and just you know,
- 10:31Speaker 10: go fishing or something.
- 10:33Speaker 2: But I have an obligation. My team has an obligation.
- 10:38Speaker 10: To wake the world up and put you in a
- 10:39Speaker 10: good frame of mind so you can go out here
- 10:41Speaker 10: and deal with this world youre in today. That's how
- 10:43Speaker 10: we do it on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ain't
- 10:46Speaker 10: nobody bad like we. You can believe that there's other
- 10:51Speaker 10: radio shows. But nothing, nothing can pass, nothing come pass
- 10:59Speaker 10: to you. Nothing, Ladies and gentlemen, Shirley Strawberry and calling
- 11:04Speaker 10: for Real, the Mouth of the South, Mississippi Money.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Who is Monica who is a radio and TV producer.
- 11:10Speaker 10: Today we discovered Ladies and Gentlemen, Junior Boy better known
- 11:14Speaker 10: as Killed Space, and the legend that his nephew Tommy,
- 11:18Speaker 10: who's had several ailments this year, but God is in
- 11:21Speaker 10: the blessed business, has overcome their all. He's doing shoulder
- 11:25Speaker 10: exercises right now. The five pound dumb bell. Lady and Gentlemen,
- 11:34Speaker 10: Steve Harvey, Marny Showton, Junior, what's going on?
- 11:38Speaker 11: Let me tell you something. I think the euphoria at
- 11:40Speaker 11: his house in Woof already. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know
- 11:46Speaker 11: any more, just got it.
- 11:47Speaker 2: It's a brand new house. Yeah.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I'm in trouble though, That's all I know.
- 11:51Speaker 11: I didn't know because you know, when you hear your
- 11:54Speaker 11: name early in the morning, it ain't never good. I
- 11:56Speaker 11: know that she yelling across the house early in the morning.
- 11:58Speaker 11: It ain't never good all because are we moving? Because
- 12:02Speaker 11: I've packed up all the coffee in here.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I didn't know.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I thought we was leaving.
- 12:08Speaker 11: So now I'm in trouble because I ain't no coffee
- 12:10Speaker 11: making here, Ain't no coffee in here, ain't no pots
- 12:12Speaker 11: in here. Ain't nothing all this stuff here, I can't cook.
- 12:15Speaker 11: She made rice and gravy on the microwave yesterday. Very talented, though,
- 12:19Speaker 11: I must tell you, very talented. I don't know how
- 12:21Speaker 11: she did it, but she made rice and gravy in
- 12:23Speaker 11: the microwave yesterday. But I just know that right now,
- 12:26Speaker 11: she's not really happy with me because.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I'm move it. I thought that was the goal.
- 12:31Speaker 11: We can't keep it here, we have to move it.
- 12:33Speaker 11: So I'm in trouble for that. I can't understand. I
- 12:36Speaker 11: thought the house would be enough. Give me at least
- 12:38Speaker 11: two months. Please give me two months of happening. Now
- 12:41Speaker 11: I'm back in trouble again. You for your gone, That's
- 12:43Speaker 11: what's wrong on What is the problem that we're doing
- 12:47Speaker 11: what they asked us to do and we still get
- 12:49Speaker 11: in trouble?
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yeah, because you could never do enough? Yeah, yeah it is?
- 12:55Speaker 10: Is it?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Because I was.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Not all knowing?
- 13:00Speaker 1: But we're not insatiable.
- 13:04Speaker 2: We willn't even know what that means.
- 13:06Speaker 12: But damn that.
- 13:09Speaker 4: With that because she out this morning.
- 13:11Speaker 1: She went out this morning where out of town.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. It ain't have enough, But there weren't all.

- 15:01Speaker 12: two of them, Now you got the same Victorian secret.

- 15:28Speaker 3: work or something. I don't know if you remember me
- 15:29Speaker 3: or not.
- 15:30Speaker 15: Now I don't remember you.

- 15:43Speaker 3: what you were getting her for a birthday. I wanted
- 15:46Speaker 3: to make sure you know we're gonna pitch in and
- 15:48Speaker 3: get us something at the job. Will make sure you
- 15:50Speaker 3: know we didn't get you know, you know what you
- 15:52Speaker 3: may have been gonna get it.
- 15:53Speaker 15: You know what I'm saying, kind of like something like
- 15:56Speaker 15: a grab dag or something like that.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Uh oh, I wasn't gonna hear it with no grab man.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I was just you know, like I said, we was
- 16:04Speaker 3: gonna get something. You know, we haven't really put our
- 16:06Speaker 3: put our all the thoughts to it or what we
- 16:09Speaker 3: was gonna get yet, but I want, I personally want
- 16:11Speaker 3: to see what you was getting that way. We don't know,

- 16:30Speaker 15: that materialistic. Okay, Okay, let.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Me let me let me ask you.
- 16:35Speaker 2: This is so deep?
- 16:36Speaker 3: Uh do you uh you know what a size is?
- 16:40Speaker 15: Do I know what her size is?
- 16:42Speaker 3: Still like clothing?
- 16:43Speaker 2: You know?
- 16:44Speaker 3: Do you know what side she will?
- 16:46Speaker 15: Uh? Yeah, I know what size she's not? She's one
- 16:49Speaker 15: white man. I think this is kind of like I'm
- 16:53Speaker 15: getting a little bit uncomfortable with this.
- 16:55Speaker 7: Man.
- 16:55Speaker 3: What do you do you think? You know? I don't
- 16:58Speaker 3: mean to make you un comfortable.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Let me ask you this.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Do you think she would like?
- 17:02Speaker 7: Uh?
- 17:03Speaker 3: Do she like stuff from Victoria's Secret?
- 17:05Speaker 15: WHOA hold up? Man? Stop right there? You talking about what?
- 17:11Speaker 3: No? I, like I said, I wanted what what you hey?
- 17:14Speaker 15: What's your name again?
- 17:15Speaker 10: Man?
- 17:16Speaker 7: My name Chris?
- 17:17Speaker 3: Like like I said earlier, my name How long you
- 17:19Speaker 3: been with the company? I haven't been there six months?
- 17:23Speaker 2: You know?
- 17:23Speaker 3: But like I said, I think I saw you at
- 17:25Speaker 3: one of the happy y'all I saw maybe you just
- 17:27Speaker 3: don't remember who I am.
- 17:28Speaker 15: Though, No, no, no, man, but you way out of
- 17:32Speaker 15: line talking about her size, And I'm not comfortable with
- 17:37Speaker 15: this at all. Man. You know, okay, okay, your way out,
- 17:40Speaker 15: your way out of line, right, But what what?
- 17:43Speaker 3: What's what? You didn't answer? My question was, what do
- 17:46Speaker 3: you think she liked Victoria's Secret?
- 17:48Speaker 15: You want to answer your question? Keep talking about.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Okay, okay, what's what's what?
- 17:55Speaker 9: What?
- 17:55Speaker 3: What's the language? Brother? What's what's her? We brothers?
- 17:58Speaker 15: You know we ain't we ain't we ain't no brothers?
- 18:01Speaker 15: You fool? What do you get off asking me about
- 18:05Speaker 15: my wife's clothes?
- 18:08Speaker 2: Oh?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Okay, okay, all right, talk with her.
- 18:14Speaker 12: Okay.
- 18:14Speaker 3: What all I'm saying is is do you think she
- 18:18Speaker 3: gonna like the victorious secret?
- 18:19Speaker 2: I will give her?

- 20:54Speaker 14: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 20:57Speaker 14: the hour. In entertainment, news producer Lee Daniels thinks that
- 21:01Speaker 14: Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson would smash the ratings if
- 21:05Speaker 14: they teamed up. Would Kim Kardashian Yeah, Leevet Reality Teamy
- 21:10Speaker 14: to be a lawyer full time.
- 21:13Speaker 13: She might just do that. And LSU basketball.
- 21:16Speaker 14: Champion Angel Reese says that Drake and Future slid into
- 21:20Speaker 14: her DMS.
- 21:22Speaker 13: We'll talk about all of these stories abobb of the hour.
- 21:24Speaker 14: Yeah, but right now it is time to ask the CLO.
- 21:30Speaker 14: This runs from Dedre in Fort Myers. Dija writes, my
- 21:34Speaker 14: husband raised his ex wife's child as his own. He
- 21:37Speaker 14: and I are married now, and my husband still spends
- 21:40Speaker 14: time with the boy, who's eight years old. My husband
- 21:43Speaker 14: asked if the boy can spend the summer with us
- 21:46Speaker 14: is it wrong for me to say no to this?
- 21:49Speaker 2: See that's a touching.
- 21:50Speaker 10: Yes, you want to have complete, complete separation from his past,
- 21:58Speaker 10: but the child knows him as his dad, that's true.
- 22:03Speaker 2: And to remove the boy's.
- 22:07Speaker 10: Male role model from his life so you can be comfortable. See,
- 22:11Speaker 10: you don't want to reminder that his him and his
- 22:14Speaker 10: exis baby in your house. And I'm not even sure
- 22:21Speaker 10: I think I heard you right. It's not his biological son, right, right.
- 22:27Speaker 13: Right, right, It's not it's not no, it's it's.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Excess son is soul.
- 22:32Speaker 10: But yeah, I understand your concern about that, your hesitation,
- 22:40Speaker 10: I do is very real. But at the same time,
- 22:44Speaker 10: if you could just consider for a moment the welfare
- 22:49Speaker 10: of a child who has only known this man as
- 22:51Speaker 10: a father figure and to remove that from him, that's
- 22:56Speaker 10: concerning that.
- 22:58Speaker 2: It's her, you know.
- 23:01Speaker 10: But lady, if you wanted to just be about you did,
- 23:04Speaker 10: of course you're absolutely correct, But if you would consider
- 23:08Speaker 10: the plight, you know, it's you know, I don't think
- 23:10Speaker 10: that me and get enough credit oftentimes, especially fought men
- 23:14Speaker 10: who step up and.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Take care of kids that aren't they own.
- 23:17Speaker 10: That's a special dude, man, because he's taking the responsibility
- 23:21Speaker 10: over for somebody who'd have walked away from it. And
- 23:24Speaker 10: that's a special dude. And now you're telling him not
- 23:27Speaker 10: to do that.
- 23:30Speaker 13: Yeah, you're right, Steve, all right?
- 23:32Speaker 14: Moving on to Frank in Atlanta, I was dealing with
- 23:34Speaker 14: a wild and crazy woman and the sex was top shelf,
- 23:38Speaker 14: but she liked to bite and pinch, and she tried
- 23:40Speaker 14: to smother me with a pillow once. I had to
- 23:43Speaker 14: leave her alone before she killed me. But I can't
- 23:46Speaker 14: get her off my mind. Should I talk to her
- 23:48Speaker 14: about being less aggressive in bed or leave her alone
- 23:52Speaker 14: for good?
- 23:53Speaker 2: You need to live alone now? Is good? Though, Steve?
- 23:58Speaker 2: That was good. She gonna kill him.
- 24:01Speaker 13: Though, That's what he's afraid of. That's what That's what
- 24:05Speaker 13: he's afraid of.
- 24:05Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 12: Can he put on one of them oxygen man's and
- 24:08Speaker 12: going there with that? I mean, I mean something, Yeah, breathe, you.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Gotta do all that I showed him.
- 24:16Speaker 10: Suggest dog, you just go get your girl that do
- 24:18Speaker 10: regular stuff and going bad down, you know, make that
- 24:21Speaker 10: works for you, all that excitement coming at the price
- 24:23Speaker 10: for you. She didn't try to kill you. She'd a
- 24:25Speaker 10: bit you.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Or you be stabbed. That's what I see.
- 24:30Speaker 10: That You're gonna get stabbed, don't they pitching and tracking
- 24:33Speaker 10: and bting and smothering. Ain't nothing left but gunshots and stabbing. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 10: you're gonna be in there playing Russian Roulette with him.
- 24:42Speaker 2: You can't get it mind, I know, Yeah, I know.
- 24:46Speaker 2: So you ain't been bit before. That's what you're saying.
- 24:48Speaker 10: You ain't didn't like it, You ain't don't like fighting, Tommy,
- 24:52Speaker 10: I don't like or smothered with a pillow or No,
- 24:56Speaker 10: you're not smothering me without getting knocked in the float.
- 24:59Speaker 10: You other than me, My reaction to smothering is not good.
- 25:06Speaker 10: Johnny Waller chilseed me one time in the ninth grade.
- 25:08Speaker 2: That's all I needed.
- 25:10Speaker 10: Right there after that, I knew that wasn't gonna be
- 25:12Speaker 10: gratifying for me. Evil and here, oh yeah, all right.
- 25:17Speaker 14: Moving on to Penny and Harlem, Penny says, my boyfriend
- 25:21Speaker 14: tells his friends too much of our personal business.
- 25:24Speaker 13: We did some role playing in bed.
- 25:26Speaker 14: For the first time, and I overheard him telling his
- 25:28Speaker 14: friend about it. How could he do that? Does it
- 25:31Speaker 14: mean he doesn't take our relationship seriously?
- 25:34Speaker 10: Yeah, he's very immature. Most men men that's got somebody
- 25:38Speaker 10: they care about. We're not discussing our bedroom life with
- 25:42Speaker 10: our boys. We're not doing it because we got too
- 25:45Speaker 10: much respect for it.
- 25:46Speaker 2: She off Livings. Lady. You know, if you just in't
- 25:51Speaker 2: here tricking, you know, Oh, that's how much discussion.
- 25:55Speaker 14: So she thinks it's something and you just something entirely
- 25:59Speaker 14: different from his perspective.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Well, what's their relationship though, ship?
- 26:03Speaker 13: She said, he's her boyfriend.
- 26:06Speaker 2: That's all you is. He don't care about you. If
- 26:09Speaker 2: you talked about you, yeah, I don't. That's not a
- 26:12Speaker 2: good sign.
- 26:13Speaker 1: And you're hearing that from men.
- 26:15Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I don't talk about nobody I
- 26:19Speaker 10: care about. You're not getting that car by.
- 26:22Speaker 2: She put a leg up on that ceiling. Fan. Let
- 26:24Speaker 2: me tell you, let me tell you.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, watching the game.
- 26:28Speaker 13: Yeah, how long are her legs?
- 26:34Speaker 2: Yep? No, Well you know she wasn't in the bed.
- 26:36Speaker 2: She was hanging from us.
- 26:41Speaker 14: Well, all right, so there you have it, Penny in Harlem.
- 26:47Speaker 14: Let's have it at home. Last one, Harlow shake, last one, Steve.
- 26:55Speaker 14: This is from Willett's in Charlotte. Okay. Willett said, I
- 26:59Speaker 14: had a three so with my husband and he is
- 27:02Speaker 14: still sleeping with the woman. I feel guilty for inviting
- 27:06Speaker 14: her into my marriage, so I never questioned him about
- 27:09Speaker 14: the affair. I want my husband back all to myself.
- 27:13Speaker 14: How do I reverse what I've done?
- 27:16Speaker 10: You a going okay, okay, be good, you said, cool,
- 27:24Speaker 10: let's do it, he said, she in yeah you Yeah,
- 27:29Speaker 10: you gave the hall pass, right she did. Now you
- 27:33Speaker 10: can ask for the pass back, but you're still going
- 27:37Speaker 10: to be in the hall though.
- 27:39Speaker 13: Not happening. Yeah, you're right, he's.
- 27:44Speaker 10: I the hall pass back in the classroom, and I
- 27:47Speaker 10: will stay out here in this hall though.
- 27:50Speaker 16: Yeah, so it's going good over there.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:57Speaker 13: How can she get her husband back all to herself?
- 27:59Speaker 13: That's what you want?
- 28:00Speaker 2: No, I'm just told you that's not gonna have No,
- 28:03Speaker 2: he don't.
- 28:04Speaker 13: Yeah, he got there's nothing he goes.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You can't for miss.
- 28:08Speaker 13: Yeah, but she changed. She changed because he's still sleeping then.
- 28:13Speaker 10: Yeah, but see you can't. You can't tell a man
- 28:16Speaker 10: it's okay to sleep around. And then now he done
- 28:19Speaker 10: get used to it. Now you're gonna tell him y'all
- 28:21Speaker 10: don't want you to sleeping around no more. So then
- 28:23Speaker 10: he's thinking in hisself. So now you just want be
- 28:26Speaker 10: back over here?
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yes, with you.
- 28:27Speaker 13: Yeah, yourself, just doing regular stuff.
- 28:30Speaker 2: That's what we're doing with you.
- 28:32Speaker 13: Right Wait what he's so selfish.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Just with you. That's it from now. You know what,
- 28:42Speaker 2: that's not gonna work. He ain't got the life by
- 28:44Speaker 2: where he at.
- 28:45Speaker 1: No, I ain't got the lie.
- 28:47Speaker 13: Your marriage is open. Yeah, she opened it up. All right,
- 28:52Speaker 13: thank you, CLO.
- 28:53Speaker 14: Moving on now to the top of the hour and
- 28:55Speaker 14: Entertainment News right after this you're.
- 28:58Speaker 13: Listening morning show.
- 29:03Speaker 2: All right.
- 29:03Speaker 14: So this week started out with drama after two journalists
- 29:07Speaker 14: from competing organizations left their long standing jobs.
- 29:10Speaker 13: On Monday.
- 29:11Speaker 14: Don Lemon was reportedly terminated from his position at CNN,
- 29:14Speaker 14: and Fox News announced that Tucker Carlson won't be returning
- 29:18Speaker 14: to that network. The news sent shockwaves through social media,
- 29:21Speaker 14: and director Lee Daniels had an idea. He was one
- 29:24Speaker 14: of many that shared his thoughts about Lemon and Carlson.
- 29:28Speaker 14: Daniels did an Instagram live video encouraging Lemon and Carlson
- 29:33Speaker 14: to join forces. Daniels said, Don Lemon, Tucker Carlson, If
- 29:37Speaker 14: I were a smart executive, I put them both on
- 29:40Speaker 14: the same TV show. How bananas would the ratings be?
- 29:44Speaker 14: I think it could possibly unite the country. Now that's
- 29:47Speaker 14: from Lee Daniels.
- 29:48Speaker 2: What do you think, Steve, Yeah, you like the country.
- 29:52Speaker 13: Well, now there's news.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Now, mister Daniels, you do.
- 29:55Speaker 13: Great moves, excellent.
- 29:57Speaker 10: Your work is epic out as you don't. Now, I'll
- 30:01Speaker 10: tell you what. I'll produce the show with you, cause
- 30:06Speaker 10: it'll be a hell of hit.
- 30:08Speaker 13: It's about you.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Matter of fact, I'm finish. Text Don right.
- 30:13Speaker 13: Now to tell him you got to deal for him.
- 30:17Speaker 12: Boy, please, and mister Daniels, since be talking about movies,
- 30:22Speaker 12: I'm here if you need.
- 30:23Speaker 13: It, And how is this about you?
- 30:26Speaker 12: This is a great time to tell me. It's to Daniels,
- 30:28Speaker 12: I'd like to work. I'm just saying.
- 30:33Speaker 14: The question is with Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson be
- 30:36Speaker 14: good on TV together?
- 30:38Speaker 2: Oh see, it would be it would be question.
- 30:41Speaker 10: Yeah, it would be tough man, but it would be
- 30:45Speaker 10: musty TV because that's never been done before.
- 30:49Speaker 2: You know.
- 30:49Speaker 10: Okay, look like like CNN does it. CNN does it.
- 30:53Speaker 10: They'll have a republican right wing like Scott on every
- 30:58Speaker 10: now and then to add at the right perspective. But
- 31:02Speaker 10: never have you had two stars sit there and debate
- 31:07Speaker 10: certain subjects and topics. And I think we'll be interesting,
- 31:11Speaker 10: but those two egos in the same room, he's gonna
- 31:14Speaker 10: be wrong.
- 31:14Speaker 13: Yeah, but it's like you said, must see.
- 31:17Speaker 2: For the right check, you better deal with it.
- 31:23Speaker 13: So there you go, all right.
- 31:25Speaker 14: In an interview at Time one hundred summit earlier this week,
- 31:28Speaker 14: Kim Kardashian talked about her criminal justice reform efforts and
- 31:33Speaker 14: said she would consider giving up reality TV to be
- 31:36Speaker 14: an attorney full time. Kim's passion for law and justice
- 31:40Speaker 14: has been well documented over the past several years. Just
- 31:43Speaker 14: last week, camera sister Chloe and rapper Little Baby visited
- 31:46Speaker 14: at California State Prison to learn about inmates experiences on
- 31:50Speaker 14: the inside. When asked if she would ever leave reality
- 31:54Speaker 14: television to focus solely on being a lawyer, Kim said, quote,
- 31:58Speaker 14: I would be just as happy being an attorney full
- 32:01Speaker 14: time and doing that. The journey just really opened up
- 32:04Speaker 14: my eyes to so much. It gets overwhelming because there's
- 32:07Speaker 14: so much to be done. I would totally spend more
- 32:10Speaker 14: time doing that cameras or no cameras, So there, you know.
- 32:14Speaker 10: I mean, I think everybody has to get to a
- 32:17Speaker 10: point in a life where you discover your purpose, and
- 32:21Speaker 10: I think that's when life becomes very fulfilling when you
- 32:25Speaker 10: find the reason why the two most important days in
- 32:28Speaker 10: your life are the day you're born and the day
- 32:31Speaker 10: you discover why those two days are absolutely critical. The
- 32:37Speaker 10: sad part of it is a lot of people go
- 32:39Speaker 10: through life never really attaching themselves to a purpose. And
- 32:44Speaker 10: Kim Kardashian could very well find that, because you know,
- 32:48Speaker 10: it's if you thinking, if anybody is thinking out there,
- 32:52Speaker 10: there's got to be more to life than this, that's
- 32:56Speaker 10: because it is. And the moment you stop thinking there's
- 33:00Speaker 10: got to be more to life than this, you in
- 33:02Speaker 10: some trouble because the Bible clearly says a man without
- 33:05Speaker 10: a dream or a vision shall perish. It does not
- 33:10Speaker 10: say a man without an education will pass. It says
- 33:15Speaker 10: when you stop dreaming and having visions, you will die
- 33:21Speaker 10: because there is nothing to shoot for. And once you
- 33:25Speaker 10: lose the aiming ability, you've lost one of the major
- 33:29Speaker 10: components to waken up every day. And that's what I
- 33:32Speaker 10: thank God for a great deal, my ability to have
- 33:37Speaker 10: dreams and visions. And everybody has them, everybody on the
- 33:41Speaker 10: show has them, everybody listening has them. You just can't
- 33:44Speaker 10: let the devil rob you of that because The devil's
- 33:48Speaker 10: main goal in life is to rob you of your destiny.
- 33:52Speaker 10: That's he wants that more than anything. He don't care
- 33:54Speaker 10: if you get a big house. He don't care if
- 33:56Speaker 10: you make a lot of money. He just wants to
- 34:00Speaker 10: rob you of your destinies. What God has put you
- 34:05Speaker 10: on this world to do. And if he can make
- 34:08Speaker 10: you think there's nothing for you to do, if he
- 34:12Speaker 10: can make you think you've already arrived, if he can
- 34:15Speaker 10: get you to thinking, this is it in Lord, have mercy.
- 34:20Speaker 10: He wins the battles fight. People fight. I'm sorry you
- 34:24Speaker 10: didn't ask me all that.
- 34:25Speaker 2: No, that was good though.
- 34:27Speaker 14: People need to hear that. That's that's greatness, all right.
- 34:30Speaker 14: Moving on to Angel Reese. You know her exposure has
- 34:34Speaker 14: increased drastically since she led the LSU Tigers women's basketball
- 34:38Speaker 14: team to the twenty twenty three NCAA National championship earlier
- 34:42Speaker 14: this month. She's so popular now that during a recent
- 34:46Speaker 14: radio interview, she revealed that rappers Drake and Future were
- 34:49Speaker 14: among the many celebrities that have slid into her DMS.
- 34:53Speaker 14: Reese made sure she explained the nature of their conversations,
- 34:56Speaker 14: though Angel said they just congratulated her. It was just congratulations. Okay,
- 35:03Speaker 14: that's all it was.
- 35:04Speaker 13: Before you start thinking other things. Just congratulations And what
- 35:09Speaker 13: have we learned from this?
- 35:10Speaker 2: Fella? Say out to young girls, do.
- 35:13Speaker 14: You yeah, stay out, But imagine that Drake.
- 35:20Speaker 13: You look at your your your d MS and Drake
- 35:23Speaker 13: is in there. Wow.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I don't even know how to do, you know what, I.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Don't know why to get in there?
- 35:32Speaker 13: You? Oh, all right?
- 35:36Speaker 14: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, Steve has
- 35:39Speaker 14: a special announcement.
- 35:41Speaker 13: I wonder what that could be. We'll find out right
- 35:44Speaker 13: after this. You're listening morning show, all right.
- 35:49Speaker 10: Steve, So you're Charley. I have an announcement to me.
- 35:52Speaker 10: Oh okay, sorry to interrupt.
- 35:54Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 35:55Speaker 10: This is major news, everybody. I need your divided attention.
- 35:59Speaker 10: You know, for the first time in all of American
- 36:02Speaker 10: broadcast history, this is the first time you all women
- 36:05Speaker 10: of color, are going to be recognized on the national
- 36:08Speaker 10: platform for all of their hard work and contributions to
- 36:13Speaker 10: the radio industry. Now, as a part of the Black

- 44:13Speaker 14: in law. We'll get into that in just a few
- 44:17Speaker 14: because right now it is time for the nephew and
- 44:19Speaker 14: today's prank phone call. What you got for his neph
- 44:22Speaker 14: This right here?
- 44:23Speaker 2: Don't you hate child support?
- 44:25Speaker 4: Hey?
- 44:28Speaker 2: What I do?
- 44:28Speaker 13: What?
- 44:28Speaker 2: Fine? Why whine? Let's go cat?
- 44:32Speaker 7: Hello?
- 44:33Speaker 2: Hello, I am trying to reach a Melvin Colbert.
- 44:36Speaker 15: Please, Yeah, this is me.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Mister Melvin. How are you?
- 44:39Speaker 12: My name is Timson with the Child Support Services, and.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I wanted to give you a call.
- 44:44Speaker 12: Going through the records that we have, I wanted to
- 44:46Speaker 12: follow up on some things. We're noticing here that your son,
- 44:50Speaker 12: Melvin Junior, is going to be turning eighteen here pretty soon.
- 44:54Speaker 12: But looking at our records, it indicates that you were
- 44:58Speaker 12: doing pretty well with child support for seventeen maybe well sixteen,
- 45:02Speaker 12: sixteen years. It just seems like we're here within the
- 45:06Speaker 12: last year you seem to have fallen off. Seem like
- 45:08Speaker 12: we haven't gotten a payment from you within the last year.
- 45:11Speaker 2: I'm looking, I'm dating it back. Now looks like wait a.
- 45:13Speaker 15: Man, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 45:16Speaker 7: Now, you said it for sixteen years. My son be
- 45:19Speaker 7: eighteen in three months, right, I.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Know that's what we're saying.
- 45:23Speaker 12: It seems like he's approaching eighteen, sir. But within the
- 45:25Speaker 12: last twelve months, twelve thirteen months, sir, we haven't really
- 45:29Speaker 12: we haven't really gotten a payment here from you as
- 45:31Speaker 12: far as child supports concern by.
- 45:33Speaker 7: Man, hold on, what you mean? You ain't got no permit?
- 45:36Speaker 15: They take it out my check.
- 45:37Speaker 7: They take money out of my check every week, every
- 45:40Speaker 7: pay check twice and that's twice a month. They take
- 45:42Speaker 7: money out of my check. And they've been taking money
- 45:44Speaker 7: out of my check. So you need wait, you need
- 45:46Speaker 7: look at that computer again. Looking there again, sir.
- 45:49Speaker 2: I've gone through the records over and over. I actually
- 45:53Speaker 2: thoroughly checked before I give people a phone call.
- 45:55Speaker 12: I'm ninety nine point nine percent sure this is dated
- 45:58Speaker 12: back thirteen months. You've been paying right at seven hundred
- 46:02Speaker 12: and fifty dollars a month, am I right?
- 46:04Speaker 15: Yes, that's right, and.
- 46:05Speaker 12: They break it up over over a four week period
- 46:07Speaker 12: and you get paid weekly.
- 46:09Speaker 2: So they've been taking it out.
- 46:10Speaker 7: Three hundred every two weeks. They've been taking three hundred
- 46:13Speaker 7: seventy five dollars out of my chick. So something wrong
- 46:17Speaker 7: now they've been taking that. I know they've been taking
- 46:19Speaker 7: out my chick.
- 46:19Speaker 12: Well, sir, I don't want to be the bearer of
- 46:22Speaker 12: bad news, but what's happens when situations get to this point.
- 46:25Speaker 2: This is what takes place.
- 46:27Speaker 12: Even though the child is turning eighteen, what they're going
- 46:30Speaker 12: to do, sir, is now extend child support until the
- 46:33Speaker 12: child reaches twenty one, which is another three years now.
- 46:37Speaker 7: Oh no, no, hell no, hell now, Now they've been
- 46:42Speaker 7: taking three hundred and seventy five dollars by my chicks
- 46:46Speaker 7: twice a month. So now, ain't no extending nothing. My
- 46:49Speaker 7: coat ought to say when my son turned eighteen and
- 46:53Speaker 7: three months, three months from tomorrow, that damn child support
- 46:57Speaker 7: gonna get cut out. Ain't no extendsion no twenty one,
- 47:01Speaker 7: No take care of my son now now, now you
- 47:04Speaker 7: listen to me some y'all. Y'all got deep dump. I
- 47:08Speaker 7: take care of my son and they take it out
- 47:10Speaker 7: of my chicks.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Sir.
- 47:10Speaker 12: Wait a minute, sir, what I'm saying is it's not
- 47:13Speaker 12: in the computer. We don't have any listings of it.
- 47:15Speaker 12: It hasn't been done within the last thirteen months. That's
- 47:19Speaker 12: when when it comes to a situation like this we
- 47:21Speaker 12: extend it to three to the childe, twenty three to
- 47:26Speaker 12: the childe twenty No.
- 47:27Speaker 7: Sure, ain't extended nothing on me eighteen y'all ain't got baby.
- 47:34Speaker 7: They talking about it. I ain't paid. I got the
- 47:36Speaker 7: chick stubs where they've been taken out of my check. Now,
- 47:39Speaker 7: how come y'all don't have a representation.
- 47:42Speaker 15: Certainly you have a not chext What is check stubs?
- 47:45Speaker 10: That?
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 47:47Speaker 7: I got a box while I keep the chick stubs there?
- 47:49Speaker 2: Do you have every check stuff you damn.
- 47:52Speaker 7: Right, I got every chick stuff and I got the
- 47:55Speaker 7: other damn receipts everything I fought for them. Well, excuse me,
- 47:58Speaker 7: I don't mean talking about my son like this. But
- 48:00Speaker 7: but but what.
- 48:03Speaker 12: Super I'm the I'm the actual manager here. I'm the
- 48:06Speaker 12: one that makes the phone call.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Sir.
- 48:07Speaker 12: We've gone through these records over and over, trying to
- 48:10Speaker 12: make sure that we were definitely clear on it before
- 48:12Speaker 12: we give a personal call about a situation like this.
- 48:17Speaker 7: Oh no, that's bush man, that's but now now you
- 48:20Speaker 7: know that's that's a sir, Sir.
- 48:23Speaker 12: I don't want to be a bearer of bad news now.
- 48:27Speaker 7: With doubt, but don't call me what you don't want
- 48:29Speaker 7: me to be.
- 48:30Speaker 3: No bad sir.
- 48:31Speaker 12: You will be paying this until the child is twenty one.
- 48:35Speaker 7: Oh I bet you you wait to my son turned eighteen.
- 48:39Speaker 7: I bet you want a thing, y'all. Ain't take it
- 48:42Speaker 7: out of my take one mind, sir.
- 48:45Speaker 12: Let me, sir. What I'm not gonna do is have you.
- 48:48Speaker 12: I'm not gonna go back and forth with you. Okay, Now,
- 48:51Speaker 12: you're gonna pay twenty one until he's twenty one, or
- 48:55Speaker 12: you're going to jail.
- 48:56Speaker 7: Well, miss, let me tell you one thing, now, I
- 48:59Speaker 7: know what the hell they've been taken out of my
- 49:01Speaker 7: chick twice a month. Do you don't hear me? I
- 49:04Speaker 7: know what they've been taking out because I know what
- 49:06Speaker 7: I've been bringing home.
- 49:07Speaker 12: Well, sir, is there a possibility?
- 49:11Speaker 7: Right? And look at let me take any hell I be.

- 49:20Speaker 7: I've been taking care of it. Y'all can pay the

- 53:48Speaker 13: Thank you, Tommy. Subject.
- 53:51Speaker 14: I just met my place sister in law. Okay, Stephen Shirley.
- 53:56Speaker 14: I met my husband online and we dated briefly before
- 53:59Speaker 14: we got married. We figured out that we knew a
- 54:02Speaker 14: lot of the same people and all my friends that
- 54:04Speaker 14: knew him vouched for him and.
- 54:06Speaker 13: Said he's a great man.
- 54:08Speaker 14: His mother always acted strangely, but he said that's just
- 54:12Speaker 14: how she is, and she would come around and be
- 54:14Speaker 14: sweet Eventually. A couple of weeks after our wedding, I
- 54:18Speaker 14: asked his mother to meet for lunch, and she asked
- 54:21Speaker 14: if she could bring her play daughter. I wanted to
- 54:24Speaker 14: meet anyone close to my husband, so I was excited
- 54:28Speaker 14: That lunch date with his mom has sent my marriage
- 54:32Speaker 14: into a downward spiral. The play daughter knew everything about
- 54:37Speaker 14: my husband, even more than his mom. She said they've
- 54:40Speaker 14: been the best of friends, but never romantically involved. She
- 54:44Speaker 14: said they've sat up many nights crying together over bad relationships.
- 54:49Speaker 13: I have never seen my husband cry.
- 54:51Speaker 14: She told us that my husband almost died after a
- 54:55Speaker 14: watched liposuction. As the mom didn't know he had surgery,
- 54:59Speaker 14: she thought he lost weight naturally. I asked her why
- 55:02Speaker 14: she didn't come to the wedding if they were so close,
- 55:05Speaker 14: and she said she wasn't invited. My mother in law
- 55:08Speaker 14: said she insisted that she come, but the play daughter
- 55:10Speaker 14: said she felt like my husband was moving shady since
- 55:14Speaker 14: he met me.
- 55:15Speaker 13: Now, if this doesn't sound like a whole side piece
- 55:17Speaker 13: relationship with my husband?
- 55:19Speaker 2: Then what is it?
- 55:20Speaker 13: Why is his mother not seeing this?
- 55:22Speaker 14: My husband swears he's never been intimate with his play sister,
- 55:25Speaker 14: but couldn't explain why he has never introduced me to
- 55:29Speaker 14: her and none of its friends know of her. If
- 55:33Speaker 14: I asked this play sister more questions, will I look insecure?
- 55:37Speaker 14: And should I keep my head high as the WiFi?
- 55:39Speaker 14: Or should I do more research on her? Yes, you
- 55:42Speaker 14: should keep your head high as the WiFi. And you
- 55:45Speaker 14: don't need any more research. I mean, how much research
- 55:47Speaker 14: do you need? The research you want to know that
- 55:51Speaker 14: you want to do now that should have been done
- 55:53Speaker 14: before the marriage? Okay, that should have been done then anyway,
- 55:57Speaker 14: you pretty much laid it all out the closer, with
- 56:00Speaker 14: the first one being her saying, your husband's moving shady
- 56:03Speaker 14: since he met you.
- 56:04Speaker 13: And what does that mean? What does moving shady mean?
- 56:06Speaker 13: Does it mean he.
- 56:07Speaker 14: Didn't invite her to the wedding because he didn't want
- 56:10Speaker 14: any drama, or he didn't introduce her to any of
- 56:14Speaker 14: his friends because he didn't want any drama or didn't
- 56:16Speaker 14: want them to know about her?
- 56:18Speaker 13: What did that mean?
- 56:19Speaker 14: I mean, there is a reason for him, not telling
- 56:22Speaker 14: could be a side piece situation, like you said, But
- 56:25Speaker 14: his mom sure knows a lot about her, and she
- 56:28Speaker 14: knows her well enough to invite her to lunch with
- 56:30Speaker 14: you guys. So this woman has definitely been around for
- 56:34Speaker 14: a while. But I don't think you need to ask
- 56:37Speaker 14: her any more questions.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Let this go.
- 56:39Speaker 14: If you want to ask questions, ask your husband. This
- 56:42Speaker 14: all happened before you and him got together, and this
- 56:46Speaker 14: is a chance you take.
- 56:47Speaker 7: You know how it goes.
- 56:48Speaker 14: When you meet someone online and you married them quickly,
- 56:52Speaker 14: you don't get to know the person. So please remember
- 56:55Speaker 14: everyone has the past.
- 56:57Speaker 10: Steve, Well, this is gonna be a good one for
- 57:01Speaker 10: me because I can answer all these questions.
- 57:05Speaker 2: You have all of them with rather a certainty and assuredness.
- 57:11Speaker 10: You met your husband online, We dated briefly before we
- 57:13Speaker 10: got married, Well there it is.
- 57:16Speaker 2: There, it is.
- 57:17Speaker 10: You dated briefly before you got married. Now I don't
- 57:20Speaker 10: know how you are, how old you all are. You
- 57:23Speaker 10: haven't mentioned any kids anything, But you have to understand,
- 57:29Speaker 10: like Shirley said, everybody comes with the history. So when
- 57:33Speaker 10: you date briefly, you don't get to learn the history
- 57:38Speaker 10: because you haven't been put in enough situations where things
- 57:41Speaker 10: can crop up.
- 57:42Speaker 2: You all got along and everything.
- 57:45Speaker 10: Now, his mother has always acted strangely strangely, but he
- 57:49Speaker 10: said that's just how she is, and she would come
- 57:51Speaker 10: around and be sweet eventually. Well, a couple of weeks
- 57:54Speaker 10: after you got married, you asked your mother in law
- 57:56Speaker 10: to meat for lunch. That was a great idea. Your
- 58:02Speaker 10: mom in law asked if she could bring her play daughter.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Hell fault.
- 58:09Speaker 10: Now, please don't let this boy's mama act like she
- 58:13Speaker 10: don't know, because she is a grown ass woman though,
- 58:16Speaker 10: and women know, women know what they're doing.
- 58:19Speaker 2: They're very smart women.
- 58:22Speaker 10: I ain't hardly ever met no stupid women until they
- 58:26Speaker 10: start listening to their heart instead of their intuition. Other
- 58:30Speaker 10: than that, they are on top of the food tor
- 58:33Speaker 10: chain when it comes to brains and smart.
- 58:36Speaker 2: Don't you misunderstand that for a moment.
- 58:38Speaker 10: So the boy and mama know what he's doing, gonna
- 58:40Speaker 10: bring the play daughter, And you said yeah, because you
- 58:42Speaker 10: want to meet anybody close to your husband, because now
- 58:45Speaker 10: you're trying to learn your husband after you've married him,
- 58:48Speaker 10: instead of dating him longer to learning before you got married.
- 58:51Speaker 10: So now here we go. So I was excited that
- 58:54Speaker 10: lunch day with his mom. But that dunch date sent
- 58:57Speaker 10: your marriage into a downward spiral. The play daughter knew
- 59:00Speaker 10: everything about my husband, see right there. Why did the
- 59:06Speaker 10: mama bring her even more than his mom? She said,
- 59:10Speaker 10: they've been the best of friends, were never romantically involved.
- 59:14Speaker 10: Why is she talking to you? You know why I
- 59:17Speaker 10: think she talking to you because she trying to play
- 59:20Speaker 10: the spoiler. She trying to be the spoiler. It's always
- 59:24Speaker 10: some some woman getting left by the wayside at the
- 59:28Speaker 10: altar and then all of a sudden, Wanner, I know more.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Me and him talk, We everything. They they've been the
- 59:35Speaker 2: best of friends. She said.
- 59:37Speaker 10: They've set up many nights crying together over bad relationships.
- 59:41Speaker 10: That I've never seen my husband cry. That's because you
- 59:46Speaker 10: ain't known him long enough.
- 59:49Speaker 2: But I'll tell you what.
- 59:50Speaker 10: After he found out you and the mama and the
- 59:52Speaker 10: plate sister was at lunch, he was I better ask
- 59:55Speaker 10: for someone crying then.
- 59:58Speaker 14: All right, hang on, stee, We'll have part two of
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: your response to this Strawberry letter at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:05Speaker 14: after the hour. Today's subject, I just met my play
- 1:00:09Speaker 14: sister in law. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:14Speaker 13: You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:17Speaker 14: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:20Speaker 13: The subject is I just met my play sister in law.
- 1:00:25Speaker 10: Well, this woman met this man online, dated briefly, and
- 1:00:28Speaker 10: then got married.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Dating briefly doesn't allow you.
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: To learn the person's history, so now you're learning his
- 1:00:36Speaker 10: history while you're married. You've always thought that mama was
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: actually sort of funny to you, so you wanted to
- 1:00:41Speaker 10: invite her to lunch after you all got married. A
- 1:00:44Speaker 10: couple of weeks she asked you could she bring her
- 1:00:46Speaker 10: a plate daughter? Okay, so then you said yeah, because
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: you want to meet everybody close to the family. Well,
- 1:00:52Speaker 10: that date then sent your marriage into a down wid
- 1:00:54Speaker 10: spiral because little miss play daughter then set up here
- 1:00:58Speaker 10: and knew everything about your husband and molding his mama.
- 1:01:03Speaker 10: She said, they've been the best of friends, but never
- 1:01:05Speaker 10: romantically involved. She said, they've set up many nights crying
- 1:01:09Speaker 10: together over a bad relationship.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I have never seen my husband cry. Well, you ain't
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: been with him long enough.
- 1:01:15Speaker 10: But I tell you what though, after he found out
- 1:01:17Speaker 10: you was with his mama and his play sister, his
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: ass was somewhere crying in that's for them.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: I can promise you his ass was.
- 1:01:29Speaker 10: She told us that my husband almost died after a
- 1:01:33Speaker 10: batch LIPOSUCTIONET and his mom didn't even know he had
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: the subject.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Okay, well, did you know he had lifebo such?
- 1:01:42Speaker 13: No, she didn't know.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Did you know it was botched?
- 1:01:46Speaker 14: No?
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: How do you know that he almost died?
- 1:01:51Speaker 10: I'm listening to this story that this woman is weaving
- 1:01:54Speaker 10: for you. We've cried together. Yea, all this is stuff
- 1:01:57Speaker 10: you can't check on. We cried together, set up many nights.
- 1:02:04Speaker 10: So okay, So if y'all been crying together all of
- 1:02:06Speaker 10: all the bad relationships you had pretty much? Why I
- 1:02:09Speaker 10: explain why a little play sister and play sistant law
- 1:02:12Speaker 10: ain't got no damn body. See I know this, now,
- 1:02:16Speaker 10: know who you're talking to. She thought the mother thought
- 1:02:20Speaker 10: he lost weight naturally. I asked her why she didn't
- 1:02:23Speaker 10: come to the wedding if they were so close, and
- 1:02:25Speaker 10: she said she wasn't invited. Now, the mother in law
- 1:02:29Speaker 10: jumped in and said she insisted that she come, but
- 1:02:32Speaker 10: the play daughter said she felt like my husband was
- 1:02:35Speaker 10: moving shady since he met me. Hm, well that's a
- 1:02:39Speaker 10: good son. See, he didn't invite her because he didn't
- 1:02:45Speaker 10: want her round, want the drama right, you know, because
- 1:02:50Speaker 10: you already know his mama and the girl close.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Now why would he do that? And listen to me.
- 1:02:56Speaker 10: The key to this, I want your takeaway to be
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: is he felt like she didn't want to come to
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: the wedding and she felt like my husband was moving shady.
- 1:03:05Speaker 10: Since it will the husband were trying to distance himself.
- 1:03:08Speaker 10: That's a good thing, that's what moving shady. Men. Now,
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: if this doesn't sound like a whole side piece relationship
- 1:03:15Speaker 10: with my husband, then what is it?
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: But see, if it was a side piece situation, it
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: ain't no more.
- 1:03:25Speaker 10: But you're meeting a man that had a background, as
- 1:03:28Speaker 10: do all men. He had a background, So now where
- 1:03:32Speaker 10: we at. If it was a side piece, he didn't
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: tell you about.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: It, cause who do that?
- 1:03:39Speaker 10: What man meets a woman and go, hey, let me
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: tell you about these chicks I got out here on
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: this that nobody find to do that. And I don't
- 1:03:47Speaker 10: know what you think a man supposed to do that for.
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: But you can lose him expectation. You can take that
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: off the plate because we're not finna do that. And
- 1:03:56Speaker 10: then if my husband swears he's never been intimate with
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: his place system, but couldn't explain to me why he
- 1:04:02Speaker 10: never introduced me to her, and none of his friends
- 1:04:05Speaker 10: know of her.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Okay, so.
- 1:04:09Speaker 10: You the play sister over there when we buy ourself,
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: you ain't coming up around my friend because you ain't gonna.
- 1:04:15Speaker 10: I ain't got no future with you that could be it.
- 1:04:19Speaker 10: But now you trying to make something out of his
- 1:04:21Speaker 10: past and turn it into his right now. And there
- 1:04:24Speaker 10: are no signs of him messing with this girl right now.
- 1:04:28Speaker 10: So even if she was a side piece, please lose
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: your desire for him to tell you that he had
- 1:04:34Speaker 10: a side piece, because he didnet have a side piece,
- 1:04:37Speaker 10: and it's been several it ain't just hum. So if
- 1:04:41Speaker 10: I asked this play sistem more questions, will I look secure?
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Why would you ask her anything?
- 1:04:48Speaker 10: This girl ain't nothing in here but to place fall,
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: and she gonna tell you all kinds of stuff because
- 1:04:53Speaker 10: she's been crying with your husband over a bad relationship,
- 1:04:57Speaker 10: which means she can't get it a good relationship now
- 1:05:01Speaker 10: another relationship. He done found you, and he'd have picked
- 1:05:05Speaker 10: you over her. Why would you ask her anything? Cause
- 1:05:10Speaker 10: she ain't got but one mission right now is to
- 1:05:13Speaker 10: try to make you think she got more of a
- 1:05:15Speaker 10: relationship with him than you do, and she don't.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Should I keep my head high as a wife?
- 1:05:20Speaker 17: You know?
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: Should I do more research on her? Stop researching her.
- 1:05:23Speaker 10: Stop digging up in this man's past, because you're gonna
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: find something you don't want to know now. But now
- 1:05:28Speaker 10: suppose he dug up your past, you don't think he
- 1:05:32Speaker 10: finds a couple of things too that look a little shady.
- 1:05:36Speaker 10: Get out the man's past. Build your future with this man.
- 1:05:39Speaker 10: Stop looking in the rear view mirror. You are the wife,
- 1:05:42Speaker 10: not her. Hold your head high.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: You the wife.
- 1:05:46Speaker 10: Have a talk with him and say, hey, look, lose
- 1:05:48Speaker 10: her number, lose her information. I ain't gonna beat you
- 1:05:52Speaker 10: up about this, but make sure that that hell for
- 1:05:54Speaker 10: stay gone. If I see her again, you won't see
- 1:05:58Speaker 10: me again. You make your choice, that's all to it.
- 1:06:02Speaker 10: But I ain't gonna deal with her and your mama.
- 1:06:05Speaker 10: You don't have no defferent play sister in law quick
- 1:06:07Speaker 10: calling her.
- 1:06:08Speaker 13: That I'm surprised you didn't say we cried together like
- 1:06:12Speaker 13: the oh jays.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: I try to show more versatility.
- 1:06:17Speaker 13: Yeah, you are a very talented man.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Yes you are all right.

- 1:08:08Speaker 1: They take a three two lead.
- 1:08:09Speaker 10: Man, you are not gonna catch them. Light skinned boys.
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: Y'all play the Night Las.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they played the night I mean on the time. Yeah,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: they play the Knight.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:19Speaker 11: The Kings and the Warriors played Game six tonight. Also,
- 1:08:23Speaker 11: you know Phoenix sent the Clippers home. Yeah, gonna take
- 1:08:26Speaker 11: on Devi you know, no Kawhi Leonard, no, Paul George. Yeah,
- 1:08:30Speaker 11: they can't win with them on the on the on
- 1:08:33Speaker 11: the Westbrook was out there swinging, he was fighting, he
- 1:08:35Speaker 11: was swinging on people, he was rebounding. If the swing
- 1:08:37Speaker 11: come behind he's rebound. They got the way he playing, Yeah,
- 1:08:42Speaker 11: he's not playing man. So also the night man, Like
- 1:08:45Speaker 11: I said, we got the Kings and the Wars and
- 1:08:47Speaker 11: then we got the Grizzlies and the Lakers. Man, can
- 1:08:50Speaker 11: the Lakers close it out tonight? The Grizzlies, That boy
- 1:08:53Speaker 11: John Morunt is a special talent. But this light skinned boy,
- 1:08:57Speaker 11: Dylan Brooks, that were his hair platted.
- 1:08:59Speaker 10: You need to shit your young ass down and learn
- 1:09:02Speaker 10: yourself something because Lebron been handing it to your ass.

- 1:09:39Speaker 13: Thank you Junior for sports talk.
- 1:09:41Speaker 14: Coming up at the top of the hour, is the
- 1:09:43Speaker 14: modern generation more rude and disrespectful?
- 1:09:45Speaker 13: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:09:48Speaker 14: You're listening hard morning show. All right, guys, he's a question.
- 1:09:54Speaker 14: I think we touched on this earlier this week. But
- 1:09:58Speaker 14: the question is, is the modern generation more rude and
- 1:10:02Speaker 14: disrespectful you think or is it the same as it's
- 1:10:05Speaker 14: always been.
- 1:10:06Speaker 13: What's your take on that.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: We weren't this rude.
- 1:10:09Speaker 12: We weren't rude at all, disrespect I was respectful at.
- 1:10:14Speaker 14: All time to adult, especially to elderly people who were
- 1:10:18Speaker 14: my elder Yeah, I.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: Cut somebody in my age you're peer. Yeah, people's parents, grandmother. No,
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: that was unheard of. Man.
- 1:10:29Speaker 13: You couldn't your parents found out?
- 1:10:31Speaker 12: That was it?
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: Your These kids now are robbing old people. These kids
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: now they're they're violating old people.
- 1:10:41Speaker 10: I mean they beating them up on elevators and stores,
- 1:10:45Speaker 10: and walking in their house and and and just just
- 1:10:49Speaker 10: that criminalizing the elderly.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: That's that was unheard of back in the day. Matter
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: of fact, man, if.
- 1:10:55Speaker 10: You did something to old people and we found out
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: about it, we handled with your Yeah, dog you not.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: You can't do that, dog.
- 1:11:04Speaker 17: You know what You're right, Steve, my husband said. Growing
- 1:11:06Speaker 17: up in New Orleans, you know, if they was out
- 1:11:08Speaker 17: on the street, you know, just being boys or whatever.
- 1:11:10Speaker 17: If an elderly person walk by. They'd be like, chill, chill,
- 1:11:13Speaker 17: chill chill, Yeah, such and such, chill out, chill out,
- 1:11:17Speaker 17: chill out. Dogs are you doing, ma'am? You know it
- 1:11:20Speaker 17: was a respect that I'm watching. I'm watching forty eight
- 1:11:22Speaker 17: hours the other night. Ninety eight year old war veteran
- 1:11:27Speaker 17: who had served the country. Ninety eight year old war
- 1:11:30Speaker 17: veterans raised these boys in this neighborhood do the right thing.
- 1:11:35Speaker 17: One of the kids really loved him and knew him
- 1:11:38Speaker 17: and stayed next door. Three of the boys said, hey, man,
- 1:11:41Speaker 17: we need some money. Let's rob the old guy. He
- 1:11:44Speaker 17: went to the corner store. He was still driving the car.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: He got in the car.
- 1:11:48Speaker 10: The dude that knew him went up to him to say, hey,
- 1:11:51Speaker 10: mister Jackson. And but then the other dude came up
- 1:11:54Speaker 10: with a gun, and the young dude tried to stop
- 1:11:57Speaker 10: him and say, hey, man, no, we ain't finna do that.
- 1:11:58Speaker 10: That's mister Jackson. You know, he'll give us some money.
- 1:12:02Speaker 10: Your dude shot the man twice. Oh. The old man
- 1:12:08Speaker 10: pulls off, makes it to his house down the street,
- 1:12:10Speaker 10: drives up on the curve, dies in the car. Well,
- 1:12:14Speaker 10: he didn't die in the car. They came and got him,
- 1:12:17Speaker 10: but he died two days later in the hospital. Now
- 1:12:20Speaker 10: they finally catch the folk guys because somebody saw him.
- 1:12:24Speaker 10: The little dude that knew him has tried to stop it.
- 1:12:28Speaker 10: He just broke down crying. He saibody ain't in ten
- 1:12:31Speaker 10: for this to happen to missus Jackson. When he pulled
- 1:12:34Speaker 10: the gun out, he tried to stop the dude, but
- 1:12:36Speaker 10: he was that but he stopped him to rob mister Jackson.
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: He was gonna ask you for money, and they said
- 1:12:41Speaker 10: they were gonna take whatever money he had in the car.
- 1:12:43Speaker 10: Dude came up with the gun and shot the lad Wow.
- 1:12:47Speaker 10: See now, back in the day, they would have never
- 1:12:50Speaker 10: got off that block. No, no, because dog you shot
- 1:12:54Speaker 10: who man? Oh no, man, no don't.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: This generation is just beyond disrespectful.
- 1:13:05Speaker 10: It is an ugly world we live in now because
- 1:13:08Speaker 10: of lack of respect and consideration. And old people man
- 1:13:12Speaker 10: have earned the right to live their life freely and
- 1:13:16Speaker 10: in peace. And like Tommy said when we was going
- 1:13:19Speaker 10: down the street being boys, if an old person walket
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: hold of kill man, hic come, my.
- 1:13:24Speaker 14: Husband said, if they came, if an old person came
- 1:13:28Speaker 14: and needed a seat, we would have to get up
- 1:13:30Speaker 14: and give the older persons stopped anywhere.
- 1:13:35Speaker 13: Yes, you could stand up, you're young.
- 1:13:39Speaker 10: Me and my mama was on the bus going downtown
- 1:13:41Speaker 10: one time. He said, love, go downtown. My mama's old
- 1:13:45Speaker 10: lady got on the bus. I stood right up. She
- 1:13:48Speaker 10: sat down in that seat. She said, you you raising
- 1:13:51Speaker 10: that boy? She said, well, his daddy, his daddy got
- 1:13:57Speaker 10: him like candy. She said, I got two boys just
- 1:14:01Speaker 10: like that.
- 1:14:04Speaker 13: Yeah. I mean, it's it's definitely different these days. And
- 1:14:07Speaker 13: how blessed you were, you know, to have a father
- 1:14:10Speaker 13: in the house to do that for you, Steve, you know,
- 1:14:13Speaker 13: but why is it like that?
- 1:14:15Speaker 17: Where is the disconnect between parenting these days the way
- 1:14:18Speaker 17: we were parented.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I don't I don't understand they got but being parent
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: There you go, Tom.
- 1:14:26Speaker 14: Yeah, all right, yep, all right, thanks guys. Coming up
- 1:14:31Speaker 14: at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more of
- 1:14:33Speaker 14: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:14:37Speaker 14: Harvey Morning Show. All right, So this is an interesting story.

- 1:15:16Speaker 13: So listen.
- 1:15:17Speaker 14: According to the New York Post, a forty one year
- 1:15:19Speaker 14: old Minnesota man spent seventy five thousand dollars to increase
- 1:15:24Speaker 14: his five and a half foot frame by three inches.
- 1:15:29Speaker 13: Okay five five? What three inches? So five eight?
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Don't act like you ain't been there.
- 1:15:38Speaker 14: But he did it so he could get more dates,
- 1:15:40Speaker 14: and after his first successful surgery, he spent another ninety
- 1:15:45Speaker 14: eight thousand dollars to get us hied up to five ten.
- 1:15:49Speaker 13: Okay, you got.
- 1:15:51Speaker 10: Money, boy, you're gonna mess around. If you're boy, you
- 1:15:55Speaker 10: won't your six forty.
- 1:15:59Speaker 14: The live lengthening procedure is accomplished by inserting a magnetic
- 1:16:03Speaker 14: lengthening rod and pins into the thigh bones.
- 1:16:07Speaker 13: So there you got it.
- 1:16:09Speaker 10: To do that.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: I don't know you didn't getting all that. I'm you're
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: too old for this time. And look at the.

- 1:16:39Speaker 10: Okay, y'all know female friends. I don't know who I'm

- 1:17:04Speaker 11: I don't have nothing, so I ain't got to tell
- 1:17:06Speaker 11: her about Well.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: No, we're gonna take the my brow heavy over there
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: looking like an emoji.
- 1:17:21Speaker 14: Would you rather wear undies filled with whipped cream or
- 1:17:25Speaker 14: would you rather wear wet sneakers?
- 1:17:28Speaker 12: I didn't wove whed cream for you. Ain't never left

- 1:17:42Speaker 2: I'm gonna put the wet ass ten shoes on sneakers.
- 1:17:45Speaker 13: You don't want to be like your nephew with the
- 1:17:47Speaker 13: web cream in your You know.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: One time, man, I had got I had got this
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: like I had foot uh.
- 1:17:57Speaker 10: And I messed around, was messing with my feet, and
- 1:18:00Speaker 10: I put it on my crop and next thing you know,
- 1:18:04Speaker 10: I had an irritation down there. So to fix it,
- 1:18:07Speaker 10: my mama told me to put corn starch on it.
- 1:18:12Speaker 10: And so I had put corn starch all inside my underwear.
- 1:18:15Speaker 13: Old school remedy.
- 1:18:17Speaker 10: Well, I went over this girl's house and pulled my
- 1:18:21Speaker 10: pants down and forgot I had that corn start.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: I pulled my drawers down, and that corn starch had.
- 1:18:29Speaker 10: Dead it up on me. It looked like cottage cheese.
- 1:18:34Speaker 10: I looked down there, she squeezed.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I scream. I looked down with wet in.
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: There, hollw.
- 1:18:43Speaker 13: Igorous.
- 1:18:45Speaker 10: I tried to go in the bathroom and wash it
- 1:18:47Speaker 10: all off and explain it. It was just as crazy,
- 1:18:51Speaker 10: Oh that that didn't go good? Boy, boy, it looked
- 1:18:54Speaker 10: because it looked like I was standing up there with
- 1:18:56Speaker 10: a yeasting fishing and I just could not explain that.
- 1:19:00Speaker 13: Okay, we're moving on. You're crazy.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: The visual will right now. Boy, get the tennis shoes.
- 1:19:12Speaker 14: Would you rather have a perfect body? But an ugly face?
- 1:19:18Speaker 14: Or would you rather be handsome with a big gut?
- 1:19:20Speaker 12: I'm gonna take that gut. Hell I got the gut now, Hell,
- 1:19:24Speaker 12: I'm good. You ain't handsome handsome? You know, it's just
- 1:19:32Speaker 12: for you, y'all to glasses. That's this for y'all, that's this.
- 1:19:35Speaker 12: That question ain't even for me.
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: Go you're pretty pretty far. Tell them, I'm trying to
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: tell them.
- 1:19:41Speaker 13: All right, that's today's roundup?
- 1:19:43Speaker 14: Would you rather coming up next to it is our
- 1:19:45Speaker 14: last break of the day of the week on this Friday,
- 1:19:48Speaker 14: and we'll have some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:19:50Speaker 14: only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:19:53Speaker 13: You're listening Morning show, all right, Steve.
- 1:19:57Speaker 14: Here we are the last break of the day on
- 1:19:59Speaker 14: this last day of the week for us this Friday.
- 1:20:03Speaker 13: Leave us with some closing remarks.
- 1:20:05Speaker 10: You know, I think that what I want to share
- 1:20:13Speaker 10: with you is something that prevents so many people from
- 1:20:18Speaker 10: becoming successful. And that thing is called excuses. You know,
- 1:20:25Speaker 10: it's it's it's amazing how when we want to justify
- 1:20:31Speaker 10: a lack of effort, or we want to justify our procrastination,
- 1:20:38Speaker 10: or we want to justify not doing something we said
- 1:20:41Speaker 10: we were going to do. We want to justify just
- 1:20:46Speaker 10: not getting started. We can come up with some pretty
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: pretty impressive excuses. But you know the thing about an excuse, though,
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: it serves no one except the person that's providing the excuse.
- 1:21:05Speaker 10: The person you're giving the excuse too. It does nothing
- 1:21:08Speaker 10: from them because that level of expectation for you was
- 1:21:13Speaker 10: in place and the fact that you didn't come through.
- 1:21:18Speaker 10: I mean, how can you possibly think that this person
- 1:21:20Speaker 10: is sitting there going, wow, that's great. You didn't come through.
- 1:21:24Speaker 10: Now you were here, Okay, well I'm sorry that happened.
- 1:21:28Speaker 10: So when will you get to it? Or you hear
- 1:21:31Speaker 10: something like oh wow, man, I didn't know that. And
- 1:21:35Speaker 10: when you walk a guy and when you walk away,
- 1:21:37Speaker 10: that person goes, wow, I can't count on it. Or
- 1:21:41Speaker 10: if you keep giving excuses, then after a while a
- 1:21:44Speaker 10: person just goes, I don't believe nothing, he says. And
- 1:21:49Speaker 10: either way, man, the person that you gave the excuse to,
- 1:21:52Speaker 10: I can promise you they don't think as much of
- 1:21:55Speaker 10: you as they did when they first thought you were
- 1:21:57Speaker 10: coming through. Folks, if you could learn to eliminate excuses.
- 1:22:04Speaker 10: You know who taught me not to have excuses? My father,
- 1:22:09Speaker 10: my fallow strong man man studs powerful to me, it's
- 1:22:14Speaker 10: the greatest dude have new. But he taught me about excuses,
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: he says, son, don't ever give me an excuse, because
- 1:22:21Speaker 10: what that ain't gonna.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: Do me no good. He said, we ain't got nothing.
- 1:22:27Speaker 10: At least you could give me your word, he said,
- 1:22:30Speaker 10: we ain't got nothing else, we ain't got too much
- 1:22:33Speaker 10: more than pot to piss in. But if you gonna
- 1:22:36Speaker 10: give me your word, tell me you're gonna do something.
- 1:22:38Speaker 10: Don't give me no excuse instead, because now we ain't
- 1:22:41Speaker 10: got nothing, y'all. If you could eliminate excuses, if you
- 1:22:45Speaker 10: could stop the allowing yourself off the hook, because that's
- 1:22:51Speaker 10: all it is.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: The only person you're hurting with these excuses is you.
- 1:22:57Speaker 10: I'll give you an example of how you hear other
- 1:23:00Speaker 10: people with your excuses. That if you have a child
- 1:23:04Speaker 10: and you keep promising your child that you're gonna do so.
- 1:23:08Speaker 10: If you a dad and you don't live with your child,
- 1:23:10Speaker 10: your boy, your girl, and you tell them you're gonna
- 1:23:12Speaker 10: come by, that child is at the window and at
- 1:23:15Speaker 10: the door waiting. They got their little bag pack, they
- 1:23:17Speaker 10: got their lunch Packause I'm going with my daddy and man,
- 1:23:20Speaker 10: oh man, oh man, the disappointment that had that child
- 1:23:24Speaker 10: had with you. But and then you call in and
- 1:23:25Speaker 10: guess what you say, I had to work, Sorry man,
- 1:23:28Speaker 10: but I had to work. Well, I got you had
- 1:23:31Speaker 10: to work. But guess what, and does nothing for that
- 1:23:34Speaker 10: child that was waiting on their dad.
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: I got, you got to work. But what they got
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: to do?
- 1:23:38Speaker 10: That don't stop the disappointment in the child. See excuses, man.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: They go a long wait.
- 1:23:45Speaker 10: Man, they do far more damage than you can imagine.
- 1:23:49Speaker 10: So after a while, if you keep doing that to
- 1:23:50Speaker 10: that child, and you keep promising your child you're gonna
- 1:23:54Speaker 10: do something and you never do it.
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: Ah, think about that, man, what that does to that child.
- 1:24:02Speaker 10: If you're in a relationship and you keep promising the
- 1:24:05Speaker 10: person you're in a relationship with you you're gonna do
- 1:24:07Speaker 10: something for him, you never do it. How long you
- 1:24:09Speaker 10: think this racist relationship gonna laugh? You gotta do what
- 1:24:13Speaker 10: you say you're gonna do.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: You can't create excuses. But then the person who.
- 1:24:18Speaker 10: Really gets damaged to you, because when that child grows
- 1:24:21Speaker 10: up and he can now stand on his own and
- 1:24:25Speaker 10: he can take his own self somewhere, he can buy
- 1:24:28Speaker 10: his own clothes, and now you wanna come around and hey,
- 1:24:32Speaker 10: that's my son. And then he's old enough to ask
- 1:24:35Speaker 10: you questions. Yeah, I'm your somble. Where were you when
- 1:24:38Speaker 10: I needed you?
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: Man? Where were you when I was standing in the window?
- 1:24:42Speaker 10: Where were you when I was sitting on the porch, man,
- 1:24:44Speaker 10: with my lunch box, just looking at every card that
- 1:24:46Speaker 10: went by, hoping that my daddy would finally come through,
- 1:24:49Speaker 10: till my mama finally tell me coming there off the porch.
- 1:24:53Speaker 10: You see, man, Now you got to deal with that
- 1:24:58Speaker 10: and all them excuses you was giving that boy or
- 1:25:00Speaker 10: that little girl back then. It don't mean damn thing
- 1:25:03Speaker 10: to them, you know, man, And it stops you so much. See,
- 1:25:08Speaker 10: once you become a person that provides excuses, it ain't
- 1:25:11Speaker 10: just to your children, It ain't just to your love
- 1:25:13Speaker 10: and your love on. It's to your job, it's to
- 1:25:16Speaker 10: your career. And pretty soon you start giving excuses to
- 1:25:19Speaker 10: yourself because it's a pattern of behavior. And you've got
- 1:25:24Speaker 10: to break that pattern of behavior because it's a no
- 1:25:26Speaker 10: win situation for you. Stop making excuses, man, Why don't
- 1:25:31Speaker 10: you just simply do what you say you gonna do.
- 1:25:36Speaker 10: It's much easier to do that if you say you're
- 1:25:40Speaker 10: gonna do it, be a man of your word, a
- 1:25:42Speaker 10: woman of your word, and go do it.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: Period. Now, if you're not gonna do it, say that,
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: be a man of your word on that. See, that's
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: what I do.
- 1:25:52Speaker 10: When somebody asks me to do something, I distinctly tell them, Hey, man,
- 1:25:57Speaker 10: I'm not gonna do that. I'm sorry, but I won't
- 1:25:59Speaker 10: be that way. Ain't no hope of you looking for me. Well,
- 1:26:03Speaker 10: he said he wasn't coming, but I'm gonna see if
- 1:26:04Speaker 10: he come anyway. No, no, no. If I tell you
- 1:26:06Speaker 10: I'm not coming, you pretty much bank I ain't coming.
- 1:26:09Speaker 10: But if I tell you I'm coming, you can look
- 1:26:12Speaker 10: for me, and chances are I'll be there. It would
- 1:26:18Speaker 10: take a lot for me not to do what I
- 1:26:20Speaker 10: say I'm going to do, because I just ain't made
- 1:26:22Speaker 10: it that way. I don't like excuses. You can't get
- 1:26:24Speaker 10: to where you're going with a bunch of excuses, all right.
