Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: So how woke is two woke? Many companies are now
- 0:03Speaker 1: trying to figure that out, especially after the demise of Disney,
- 0:08Speaker 1: because so many conservatives stopped visiting their parks and stopped
- 0:12Speaker 1: doing business with them and canceled Disney. Plus, now the
- 0:17Speaker 1: CEO that is extremely open and woke has now exited
- 0:21Speaker 1: the building. The former Disney CEO, Bob Eager, has returned
- 0:27Speaker 1: to the CEO who was also a very woke guy,
- 0:29Speaker 1: except he was a little bit more quiet about his wokeness.
- 0:33Speaker 1: In a statement Sunday night, the chairman of Disney's board
- 0:36Speaker 1: of directors announced that the CEO was stepping down from
- 0:40Speaker 1: his position as head of the company and the former
- 0:43Speaker 1: CEO would be returning from retirement to take back the
- 0:47Speaker 1: reins as they then try to find a new CEO.
- 0:51Speaker 1: They went on to say, hey, we think Bob for
- 0:53Speaker 1: his service to Disney Disney over his long career, including
- 0:55Speaker 1: navigating the coming through the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Still refusing to admit that their big problems are actually
- 1:03Speaker 1: coming from families that are walking away from Disney, they
- 1:06Speaker 1: went on to say, the board is concluded that a Disney.
- 1:09Speaker 1: As Disney embarks on an increasingly complex period of industry transformation.
- 1:15Speaker 1: It's time for us to bring back our old CEO,
- 1:18Speaker 1: situated at the lead of the company through this pivotal period.
- 1:22Speaker 1: The Hollywood Reporter also went on to say that the
- 1:25Speaker 1: current CEO are now The ex current CEO has exited
- 1:29Speaker 1: after signing a multiyear contract in June, despite a turbulent
- 1:34Speaker 1: year of leadership during which he plunged the company deep
- 1:38Speaker 1: into woke politics by opposing Florida's anti groomer law that
- 1:43Speaker 1: barred teachers from discussing sexuality with third graders. And this
- 1:48Speaker 1: is where it went off the rails for Disney. Now,
- 1:51Speaker 1: the move proved disastrous for Disney, and they really realized that, yeah,
- 1:58Speaker 1: this was dumb. Over the last six months, what happened
- 2:02Speaker 1: the state of Florida strip Disney of its special tax
- 2:05Speaker 1: jurisdiction that essentially allowed it to function like a city government.
- 2:09Speaker 1: On the content front, Disney also took to political posturing
- 2:14Speaker 1: even further than before, whether it was casting a trans
- 2:18Speaker 1: non binary actress in Marvel's Ironheart or including a same
- 2:24Speaker 1: sex kiss and a children's movie like Buzz Lightyear, which
- 2:28Speaker 1: bombed at the box office after it was exposed and
- 2:33Speaker 1: the Disney brand became so undeniably toxic in the last
- 2:38Speaker 1: several months that the company's bottom line fell outright from
- 2:41Speaker 1: under it, leading to massive layoffs, drops and stock prices,
- 2:45Speaker 1: an overall negative employee morale quote. Disney's corporate earnings disappointed
- 2:50Speaker 1: walls streets, sending its stock crashing to new lows. Now,
- 2:54Speaker 1: the entertainment giant is reportedly planning layoffs, a targeted hiring freeze,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and travel limitations on its employees, and a letter to employees,
- 3:03Speaker 1: the Disney CEO or now x CEO, said that the
- 3:06Speaker 1: company will make tough and uncomfortable decisions, as he put it, saying,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm fully aware this is a difficult process for many
- 3:13Speaker 1: of you and your teams. We are going to have
- 3:16Speaker 1: to make tough and uncomfortable decisions, but that is just
- 3:20Speaker 1: what leadership requires, and I thank you in advance for
- 3:23Speaker 1: stepping up during this important time. That guy who wrote
- 3:28Speaker 1: that now out serving less than a year. Now Eager
- 3:32Speaker 1: will reportedly serve as CEO of Disney for another two
- 3:35Speaker 1: years to set the strategic direction for renewed growth and
- 3:40Speaker 1: to give the stock some stability as a new successor develops.
- 3:44Speaker 1: That according to the board's announcement on Sunday evening. He
- 3:48Speaker 1: went on to say, I'm extremely optimistic for the future
- 3:51Speaker 1: this great company and thrilled to be asked by the
- 3:53Speaker 1: board to return as its CEO. Now, Disney employees are
- 3:56Speaker 1: reportedly in a state of confusion over the company's plan
- 4:00Speaker 1: to also move two thousand workers to Florida from California,
- 4:03Speaker 1: as they are blaming the CEO for the chaos, and
- 4:06Speaker 1: that was part of the reason why apparently they said
- 4:08Speaker 1: audios to him on Sunday night. Now, to be clear,
- 4:12Speaker 1: Disney knows exactly what got them into the situation that
- 4:14Speaker 1: they are in. They know that the CEO went all
- 4:18Speaker 1: woke and he tried to be blunt and out front.
- 4:22Speaker 1: The media also knew that they could get Disney to
- 4:25Speaker 1: get really woke, and a perfect example of this is
- 4:28Speaker 1: when CNN's Jake Tapper actually said to Stacy Abrams as
- 4:32Speaker 1: she was running for governor in Georgia, quote, should companies
- 4:36Speaker 1: like Disney and Netflix pull their businesses from Georgia if
- 4:39Speaker 1: abortion restrictions go into effect in those states? Something that
- 4:44Speaker 1: Disney jumped all in on going woke as a company.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Take a listen a businesses such as Disney and Netflix
- 4:52Speaker 1: have expressed their opposition to the so called Heartbeat abortion
- 4:56Speaker 1: band in Georgia when it was pasted in twenty nineteen.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Do you think those company should pull their businesses from
- 5:02Speaker 1: Georgia when and if this abortion restriction goes into effect.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Let's be clear, this abortion restriction, this extreme ban, will
- 5:10Speaker 1: take effect in a matter of days. The Attorney General
- 5:13Speaker 1: and the governor have already gone to the eleventh Circuit
- 5:15Speaker 1: to ask for the state to be lifted. I would
- 5:18Speaker 1: tell every single business and every single woman that they
- 5:21Speaker 1: should do what is best for the women who work
- 5:23Speaker 1: for them. They need to make certain that they are
- 5:25Speaker 1: accommodating the very real healthcare challenges that will face women
- 5:29Speaker 1: in the state of Georgia. It is my hope that
- 5:32Speaker 1: we will be able to reverse this law by passing
- 5:35Speaker 1: new legislation in twenty twenty three, because we also know
- 5:38Speaker 1: that Brian Kemp intends to make it even more difficult
- 5:40Speaker 1: for women. He intends to add incest and rape as prohibitions.
- 5:44Speaker 1: He has already broken our healthcare system by refusing to
- 5:47Speaker 1: expand Medicaid, and Georgia already has one of the highest
- 5:50Speaker 1: maternal mortality rates in the nation. So you hear that
- 5:54Speaker 1: all of what Stacey Abram said and is not going
- 5:56Speaker 1: to become true because she lost that election to Brian
- 5:59Speaker 1: Kemp in Georgie. But you can see how it was
- 6:02Speaker 1: very simple and very clear that the liberal laugh was
- 6:06Speaker 1: trying to use Disney as the reason to pretty much
- 6:10Speaker 1: justify anything. All right, real quick, let me pause and
- 6:14Speaker 1: tell you about our incredible friends over at Patriot Mobile.
- 6:17Speaker 1: They are America's only Christian conservative cell phone provider. They
- 6:23Speaker 1: want to make it easy for you to try switching
- 6:26Speaker 1: to Patriot Mobile from whatever service you have right now.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You can give them sixty days to show you why
- 6:32Speaker 1: I use Patriot Mobile and why you should make the
- 6:34Speaker 1: switch right now. When you try Patriot Mobile for two months,
- 6:39Speaker 1: you get your third month free, plus you get free
- 6:42Speaker 1: activation now. They offer nationwide coverage on the best four
- 6:45Speaker 1: G and five G networks, and they use the same
- 6:47Speaker 1: exact cell towers of all of the three other major carriers.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You're gonna get the same coverage you have right now,
- 6:54Speaker 1: you get the same great service. You get to keep
- 6:56Speaker 1: your same cell phone number if you want to. You
- 6:58Speaker 1: can even usually use the same phone you have in
- 7:00Speaker 1: your hand right now. Now, why do you want to switch.
- 7:03Speaker 1: When you do, they actually stand up for First and
- 7:05Speaker 1: Second Amendment rights, and they give a portion of your
- 7:08Speaker 1: bill every month back to conservative Christian causes that we
- 7:13Speaker 1: all believe in. So, if you're ready to support a
- 7:17Speaker 1: company that's fighting to preserve our God given rights and
- 7:20Speaker 1: our freedoms, just go to Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson, or you can
- 7:29Speaker 1: call them nine seven to Patriot. It's nine seven to Patriot.
- 7:33Speaker 1: If you're fed up with woke companies that don't care
- 7:35Speaker 1: about your values, support a company that actually does make
- 7:38Speaker 1: the switch today get a free month of service plus
- 7:41Speaker 1: free activation patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or nine seven
- 7:46Speaker 1: two Patriot. Now, there was also mocking that took place
- 7:51Speaker 1: this summer. Mayor Pete said, if Rubio referring to Marco Rubio,
- 7:56Speaker 1: who also won reelection in Florida, has time to fight Disney,
- 8:01Speaker 1: then why wouldn't he have time to safeguard help safeguard
- 8:04Speaker 1: same sex marriage, again putting Disney in the center of
- 8:07Speaker 1: a political storm. It's still clear if there are ten
- 8:11Speaker 1: Senate Republicans willing to support it. Republican Senator Rubio told
- 8:15Speaker 1: my colleague Maniaju, he's going to vote no, and he
- 8:17Speaker 1: called the vote a quote stupid waste of time. What's
- 8:21Speaker 1: your reaction on that? What's your message to Senate Republicans?
- 8:26Speaker 1: If he's got time to fight against Disney, I don't
- 8:29Speaker 1: know why he wouldn't have time to help safeguard marriages
- 8:32Speaker 1: like mine. Look, this is really really important to a
- 8:36Speaker 1: lot of people. It's certainly important to me. I started
- 8:39Speaker 1: my day as I try to do on weekends. I
- 8:42Speaker 1: tried to give chast In a little bit of a
- 8:43Speaker 1: break and do breakfast with both of our twins. And
- 8:48Speaker 1: that alone, that's no small thing, As every parent of
- 8:51Speaker 1: small kids knows. It was one of those days where
- 8:54Speaker 1: the trade table wasn't quite fitting into the high chair,
- 8:57Speaker 1: and I'm trying to make sure that they're busy enough
- 8:59Speaker 1: with their cereal puffs to give me enough time to
- 9:02Speaker 1: chop up the banana and get the formula ready, and
- 9:04Speaker 1: it just I don't know. That half hour of my
- 9:07Speaker 1: morning had me thinking about how much I depend on
- 9:09Speaker 1: and count on my spouse every day, and our marriage
- 9:15Speaker 1: deserves to be treated equally. And I don't know why
- 9:18Speaker 1: this would be hard for a senator or a congressman.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I don't understand how such a majority of House Republicans
- 9:28Speaker 1: voted no on our marriage. As recently as Tuesday, hours
- 9:32Speaker 1: after I was in a room with a lot of
- 9:33Speaker 1: them talking about transportation policy, having what I thought were
- 9:37Speaker 1: perfectly normal conversations with many of them on that subject,
- 9:40Speaker 1: only for them to go around the corner and say
- 9:43Speaker 1: that my marriage doesn't deserve to continue. If they don't
- 9:46Speaker 1: want to spend a lot of time on this, they
- 9:48Speaker 1: can vote yes and move on, and that would be
- 9:51Speaker 1: really reassuring for a lot of families around America, including mine.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Mayor Pete there saying in Frebio has got time to
- 9:58Speaker 1: fight Disney, then why and you have time to help
- 10:00Speaker 1: safeguard same sex marriage referring to codifying same sex marriage,
- 10:05Speaker 1: and Rubio said, look, it's a waste of time. I'm
- 10:07Speaker 1: not worried about it. He has won reelection. Mayor Pete
- 10:10Speaker 1: obviously in shock again Disney getting in the middle of
- 10:13Speaker 1: that conversation. Now, this all goes back to Disney going
- 10:19Speaker 1: totally woke and not backing down. And it all happened
- 10:23Speaker 1: when they started to fight in Florida, Governor de Santis,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and also all came to a head when they had
- 10:33Speaker 1: their internal calls reimagining Tomorrow at Disney that came out.
- 10:39Speaker 1: When those came out, those recordings of their massive call
- 10:43Speaker 1: that they had about reimagining Tomorrow, saying we are going
- 10:46Speaker 1: to be a propaganda filled company, there were many conservatives
- 10:51Speaker 1: that finally said enough. Perfect example of that is a
- 10:55Speaker 1: Disney executive producer saying she identifies as a biomanta a
- 11:00Speaker 1: sexual and she's so happy to work at Disney so
- 11:03Speaker 1: she can have others like her have a voice and
- 11:06Speaker 1: indoctrinating your kids. And let me remind you of Disney,
- 11:12Speaker 1: and I want you to remind you of the workers,
- 11:14Speaker 1: the the leaders, I should say, not the workers, the
- 11:16Speaker 1: leaders of the company who are still all there right now,
- 11:19Speaker 1: these executives doing they're reimagining tomorrow event earlier this year,
- 11:25Speaker 1: and this is what one does. The executive had to say, Yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I identify as like a bi romantic a sexual. I've
- 11:33Speaker 1: had a lot of learning and growing about myself this year,
- 11:38Speaker 1: kind of facilitated by how comfortable I felt on the
- 11:41Speaker 1: Proud Family and with my immedia team at Disney TVA.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And so it's just sort of like this creative dissonance
- 11:47Speaker 1: between my personal experience where I feel so safe and
- 11:50Speaker 1: so supported. I mean like I wasn't like in the closet,
- 11:53Speaker 1: but like I'm real out now, but like and like
- 11:57Speaker 1: outside of my team, outside of TVA. It's just it
- 12:01Speaker 1: feels like the things that we believe that we're trying
- 12:06Speaker 1: to put into the shows are not what we're seeing
- 12:09Speaker 1: in the real world. And yeah, it leaves you in
- 12:11Speaker 1: a weird space. I'm still thinking, like I want to
- 12:13Speaker 1: use my content to like go deeper, like talk about
- 12:16Speaker 1: how non monnolithic the LGBTQ plus community as an asexual
- 12:21Speaker 1: ass an a sexual Like it's just like I feel
- 12:22Speaker 1: like a lot of people don't know what that is.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I have to, like how a dissertation ready at any
- 12:26Speaker 1: given time. I want to like add the pockets of
- 12:30Speaker 1: the LGBTQ community that you don't see. I was like,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I want to get like gay Advanced, and then I realized, like, oh,
- 12:35Speaker 1: we need to go back to like gay one oh one.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Like so it's like, I I want to get back
- 12:40Speaker 1: to gay advance Oh blank, I want to get back
- 12:43Speaker 1: to gay I got to get back to gay one
- 12:46Speaker 1: oh one to let people understand who I am what
- 12:49Speaker 1: I am. Now, that's just one of the employees at Disney.
- 12:57Speaker 1: We also go back to the Disney City who lied
- 13:01Speaker 1: about what actually was being said with the don't Say
- 13:04Speaker 1: Gay bill as they tried to describe it in Florida,
- 13:06Speaker 1: which is not what the bill said at all. All
- 13:08Speaker 1: the bill said was don't talk to my third grade
- 13:11Speaker 1: or second grade or first grader or kid in kindergarten
- 13:14Speaker 1: about all these sexual exploits and all these sexual issues.
- 13:18Speaker 1: In other words, it should be a parental choice, not
- 13:20Speaker 1: the school indoctrinating my kid. And the former Disney CEO
- 13:24Speaker 1: who's now coming back as the CEO, if you think
- 13:28Speaker 1: he's going to change course to the company, you're wrong.
- 13:31Speaker 1: How do I know this? This is what he had
- 13:33Speaker 1: to say when he was the x former CEO of Disney,
- 13:37Speaker 1: now coming back as a current CEO. This is what
- 13:40Speaker 1: Bob had to say in an interview on CNN. A
- 13:44Speaker 1: lot of these issues are not necessarily political. It's about
- 13:48Speaker 1: right and wrong. So I happen to feel and I
- 13:50Speaker 1: tweeted an opinion about these don't Say Gay bill in Florida.
- 13:55Speaker 1: To me, it wasn't politics, it was what this right
- 13:57Speaker 1: and what is wrong, and that just seemed wrong. It
- 14:00Speaker 1: seemed potentially harmful to kids. When you're dealing with right
- 14:03Speaker 1: and wrong, or when you're dealing with something that does
- 14:06Speaker 1: have a profound impact on your business, then I just
- 14:09Speaker 1: think you'd have to do what is right and not
- 14:12Speaker 1: worry about the potential backlash to it. Not worry about
- 14:17Speaker 1: the potential backlash to it. So if you think that
- 14:21Speaker 1: Disney is learning from what they have done, you're wrong.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That was the former CEO, now the current CEO who
- 14:27Speaker 1: just replaced the other CEO. Yes, it sounds like a
- 14:30Speaker 1: lot of drama, because that's exactly what all of this is.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You have to go back to the employees. Disney's diversity
- 14:39Speaker 1: and inclusion manager. She came out talking and this is
- 14:43Speaker 1: still what they're doing, saying, we've eliminated all mentions of
- 14:47Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and theme parks because
- 14:50Speaker 1: we don't want to assume anyone's gender. Last summer, we
- 14:54Speaker 1: removed all of the gendered greetings and relationship to our
- 14:59Speaker 1: life still, so we no longer say ladies and gentlemen,
- 15:02Speaker 1: boys and girls. We've trained, we've provided training for all
- 15:06Speaker 1: of our cast members in relationship to that, So now
- 15:09Speaker 1: they know it's it's hello everyone, or hello friends. We
- 15:12Speaker 1: are in the process of changing over those those recorded messages,
- 15:15Speaker 1: and so many of you are probably familiar. When we
- 15:17Speaker 1: brought the fireworks back to the Magic Kingdom. We no
- 15:20Speaker 1: longer say ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. We say
- 15:22Speaker 1: dreamers of all ages. And so I love the fact
- 15:24Speaker 1: that it's opened up the creativity, the opportunity for our
- 15:27Speaker 1: cast members to look at that we have our cast
- 15:30Speaker 1: members working with merchandise, working with food and beverage, working
- 15:33Speaker 1: with all of our guests, facing areas where perhaps you know,
- 15:37Speaker 1: we want to create that magical moment with our cast
- 15:39Speaker 1: members with our guests, and we don't want to just
- 15:42Speaker 1: assume because someone might be in our interpretation maybe presenting
- 15:47Speaker 1: this female that they may not want to be called princess.
- 15:50Speaker 1: So let's think differently about how do we really engage
- 15:53Speaker 1: with our guests in a meaningful and inclusive way that
- 15:56Speaker 1: makes it magical and memorable for everyone. So to be queer,
- 16:00Speaker 1: what she's saying is just because a mom and a
- 16:03Speaker 1: dad dress up a little girl as a princess the park,
- 16:06Speaker 1: don't tell her she's a beautiful princess, that's not what
- 16:10Speaker 1: we do. And then you have the Disney corporate presidents. Carrie,
- 16:16Speaker 1: her name is Carrie, Carrie Burke is still the Disney
- 16:22Speaker 1: corporate president, still going to be working under the guy
- 16:26Speaker 1: who attacked Florida and tweets about the Don't Say Gay bill,
- 16:29Speaker 1: as he described even though that they were gay wasn't
- 16:31Speaker 1: even in the bill. They just lied about it. And
- 16:33Speaker 1: the Santis defended it and did the right thing. But
- 16:36Speaker 1: if you think the Disney is learning from their mistakes,
- 16:38Speaker 1: they're not. She's still in charge. She wants you to
- 16:42Speaker 1: know that she's a mother of two queer children. As
- 16:45Speaker 1: she describes it, Listen, I'm here as a mother of
- 16:49Speaker 1: two queer children, actually one transgender child and one pan
- 16:57Speaker 1: sexual child, and also as a leader. One of our
- 17:01Speaker 1: execs stood up and said, you know, we only have
- 17:03Speaker 1: a handful of queer leads in our content. And I went,
- 17:08Speaker 1: what that can't be true, and I and I and
- 17:12Speaker 1: I realized, oh, it actually is true. We have many, many,
- 17:15Speaker 1: many lgbt QIA characters in our stories, and yet we
- 17:22Speaker 1: don't have enough leads. We don't have enough leads. So
- 17:27Speaker 1: we're going to change that. We're going to make sure
- 17:29Speaker 1: that we have a whole bunch of leads that are gay, right,
- 17:33Speaker 1: And she says she supports having many, many lgbt qi
- 17:37Speaker 1: A characters in our stories, because that's what this is
- 17:40Speaker 1: all about. I'm here as a mother of two queer children,
- 17:44Speaker 1: and she wants to remind you that she is here
- 17:46Speaker 1: as a mother of two queer children. And I realized, Oh,
- 17:51Speaker 1: it actually is true. We have many, many, many lgbt
- 17:54Speaker 1: QIA characters in our stories, and yet we don't have
- 18:01Speaker 1: enough leads. So we got to change that, folks, We
- 18:04Speaker 1: got to make sure that we change the number of
- 18:06Speaker 1: leads so that we are purposely putting out propaganda to
- 18:10Speaker 1: make sure that your children are indoctrinated by Disney. So
- 18:16Speaker 1: when you put them in front of the TV, when
- 18:18Speaker 1: you take them to the parks, you're going to be
- 18:21Speaker 1: really excited about what we bring you. We had a
- 18:24Speaker 1: Disney production coordinator that said his team actually created a
- 18:29Speaker 1: tracker to make sure they create enough gender non conforming characters.
- 18:34Speaker 1: This is what Disney is going to continue to do,
- 18:37Speaker 1: So don't be fooled by their new old CEO coming
- 18:40Speaker 1: back in space. Yeah. I've had the privilege of working
- 18:44Speaker 1: with the Moon Girl team for the last two years
- 18:46Speaker 1: and that they've been really open to exploring queer stories.
- 18:49Speaker 1: And part of I'm on the production side, part of
- 18:53Speaker 1: the work that I feel like I can put in
- 18:55Speaker 1: is making sure that we take place in modern day
- 18:59Speaker 1: New York, so make sure that that's like an accurate
- 19:01Speaker 1: reflection of New York. So I put together like a
- 19:03Speaker 1: tracker of our background characters to make sure that we
- 19:06Speaker 1: have like the full breadth of expression, and we got
- 19:10Speaker 1: into a very similar conversation carry of like, oh, all
- 19:14Speaker 1: of our gender nonconforming characters are in the background, and
- 19:19Speaker 1: so it's not just a numbers game of how many
- 19:22Speaker 1: LGBTQ plus characters you have. We got the further the
- 19:30Speaker 1: more centered a story is on a character, the more
- 19:33Speaker 1: nuanced you get to get into their story. And especially
- 19:37Speaker 1: with like trans characters, you can't see if someone is trans.
- 19:41Speaker 1: There's not one way to look trans, and so kind
- 19:44Speaker 1: of the only way to have these like canonical trans characters,
- 19:48Speaker 1: canonical asexual characters, canonical bisexual characters, is to give them
- 19:53Speaker 1: stories where they can like be their whole selves, be
- 19:58Speaker 1: their whole selves. If you think for a moment that
- 20:00Speaker 1: Disney is backing down or that they have learned their lesson. Note,
- 20:04Speaker 1: because all the people that I just played for you
- 20:06Speaker 1: are still at the company and still in charge of
- 20:10Speaker 1: the content. And the former CEO, who is the one
- 20:13Speaker 1: that came out really going after Florida, is now back
- 20:17Speaker 1: being the CEO all over again. Now, before I get
- 20:22Speaker 1: into more of this story, I want to say thank
- 20:24Speaker 1: you and tell you about our good friends at Legacy
- 20:26Speaker 1: Precious Medals. Without them, the show wouldn't be possible. And
- 20:29Speaker 1: if you have not looked at gold and silver as
- 20:32Speaker 1: a way to protect your hard earned dollars against what
- 20:34Speaker 1: the happening on Wall Street with inflation, it's time for
- 20:38Speaker 1: you to call them and get the free Investor's Guide.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Why because so many around the world are now using
- 20:43Speaker 1: gold and silver, and historically they have for decades as
- 20:47Speaker 1: a protection a hedge against inflation, which is exactly what
- 20:50Speaker 1: we're dealing with right now. If you're terrified to look
- 20:52Speaker 1: at your retirement account, your four one case statement because
- 20:55Speaker 1: of what's happening on Wall Street, that's all the more
- 20:58Speaker 1: reason why you should call get the investors got in
- 21:01Speaker 1: gold and silver, protect your hard earned money and diversify.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Call them and get the free Investor's Guide from Legacy
- 21:07Speaker 1: Precious Medals one eight six six seven five one twenty
- 21:12Speaker 1: two eighteen one eight six six seven five one twenty
- 21:17Speaker 1: two eighteen or online at Legacy PM investments dot com.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So before you go shopping and you buy all your
- 21:27Speaker 1: gifts with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, just remember Disney
- 21:32Speaker 1: has not changed. You have an opportunity to stand up
- 21:36Speaker 1: to a company that wants to indoctrinate your children and
- 21:39Speaker 1: also is attacking every conservative and evangelical Christian in this country,
- 21:45Speaker 1: any person of faith. Now you may say, well, Ben,
- 21:47Speaker 1: that's an awful bold statement to be making. All right,
- 21:50Speaker 1: let me back it up. Disney's activism partner Nadine Smith
- 21:57Speaker 1: had this to say on the CEO corporate wide call
- 22:01Speaker 1: called Walt Disney's Reimagining Tomorrow. Listen carefully to what she
- 22:07Speaker 1: has to say about the GOP coverage. But the context
- 22:11Speaker 1: is also who is pushing it, what their record is,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and what the history is in Florida. You know, you
- 22:18Speaker 1: can go back to the fifties to the John's Committee,
- 22:20Speaker 1: where the legislature was actively put together a task force
- 22:25Speaker 1: whose whole job was to root out civil rights workers
- 22:28Speaker 1: and any homosexuals in the university system and destroyed lives literally,
- 22:33Speaker 1: people committed suicide behind the relentless attack. And then you
- 22:38Speaker 1: have Anita Bryant, and many of us are of an
- 22:40Speaker 1: age to remember a Nita Bryant Save Our Children campaign
- 22:43Speaker 1: which was premised on the same the same ideas that
- 22:47Speaker 1: undergird this bill. And because of her campaign that it
- 22:51Speaker 1: equated being gay with being a child predator, she was
- 22:56Speaker 1: able to pass a ban on gay people being able
- 22:59Speaker 1: to opt a marriage fan and then she took that nationwide.
- 23:03Speaker 1: And so when we react to this, a lot of
- 23:06Speaker 1: us are reacting from the pain we experience of being
- 23:08Speaker 1: isolated and stigmatized in school. We're also reacting from the
- 23:12Speaker 1: reality that when they can erase you, when they can
- 23:14Speaker 1: criminalize your existence, when they can demonize who you are,
- 23:18Speaker 1: the next step is to criminalize you and take your kids.
- 23:23Speaker 1: And we're already seeing that in Texas. So the slippery
- 23:25Speaker 1: slope between these ugly messages emanating from legislative leaders in
- 23:32Speaker 1: our state and then amplified by our governor, who spokesperson
- 23:36Speaker 1: immediately began calling everyone who opposed this bill Groomer's aka pedophiles.
- 23:44Speaker 1: By the way, that's not true. That's a lie. But
- 23:48Speaker 1: you know who cares if you're telling the truth. You're
- 23:49Speaker 1: lying now if you're a Democrat. That who Disney brought in.
- 23:54Speaker 1: And that is what she had to say about conservatives
- 23:58Speaker 1: and Republicans saying that immediately we were claiming that anyone
- 24:02Speaker 1: that was gay is some sort of groom or a pedophile.
- 24:04Speaker 1: That's not what was said. The bill had nothing to
- 24:06Speaker 1: do with this. The bill never said the word gay
- 24:08Speaker 1: in it. What do they do? They lied, and they
- 24:11Speaker 1: went after the Santis and they lost, and now conservatives
- 24:16Speaker 1: have stood up to them, thank goodness, and it started
- 24:19Speaker 1: to hurt their bottom line. But this Christmas, they're hoping
- 24:23Speaker 1: that immediately having this last minute replacement of a CEO,
- 24:27Speaker 1: that that's gonna change how you look at them, that
- 24:32Speaker 1: it's gonna make you say, okay, let's take our kids
- 24:35Speaker 1: to Disney. It's gonna make you say, okay, they've learned
- 24:39Speaker 1: their lesson. Now we can go back to business as usual.
- 24:43Speaker 1: The CEO who is now in charge, the same former
- 24:49Speaker 1: CEO of Disney that started this entire war and started
- 24:53Speaker 1: going after and attacking conservatives, parents and the Republican Party
- 25:01Speaker 1: in Florida. Their war is not over against us. Make
- 25:05Speaker 1: that clear, okay. Their war is just begun, and their
- 25:10Speaker 1: war is to indoctrinate your children and have many many
- 25:14Speaker 1: many many, many many many more lgbt qi A figures.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Their words not mine, right. They want to be able
- 25:22Speaker 1: to make sure that everywhere they can just say gay,
- 25:24Speaker 1: gay gay gay gay. Again, those are not my words,
- 25:29Speaker 1: those are their words in their own conferences. I'll also
- 25:36Speaker 1: remind you of something else. DeSantis's bill was not a
- 25:40Speaker 1: don't say gay bill, right. The DeSantis bill was simply saying,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you can't talk to my kindergarten, first, second, or third
- 25:48Speaker 1: grader about all of these types of issues. It is
- 25:51Speaker 1: not your place, That's what it is. I will also
- 25:58Speaker 1: remind you that doctor Fauci, during the entire pandemic did
- 26:04Speaker 1: a Disney Plus documentary or they did a Disney Plus
- 26:07Speaker 1: documentary on Doctor Faucci where he even teared up more
- 26:13Speaker 1: propaganda from Disney to get your kids to get the JAB.
- 26:17Speaker 1: When I think about my dad growing up, I certainly
- 26:20Speaker 1: think about that seriousness, but very few people get to
- 26:24Speaker 1: see him. He's funny, weird, and really playful. God help us.
- 26:32Speaker 1: In nineteen eighty one, HIV AIDS was evolving rapidly and frighteningly.
- 26:38Speaker 1: There was anger at the government's response. When you got sick,
- 26:42Speaker 1: you were gone fast. Yeah, why post traumatic stress syndrome
- 26:51Speaker 1: and COVID hit. He became this starget. My dad said,
- 26:55Speaker 1: we're gonna get through this whole thing, and he's held back.
- 26:58Speaker 1: You don't do it because you want to make money.
- 27:00Speaker 1: You don't do it for the glory. You do it
- 27:02Speaker 1: because you can't. When you're involved in a race to
- 27:06Speaker 1: stop a horrible disease, you're always feel you enout doing
- 27:10Speaker 1: things quickly enough. That is the propaganda that Disney was
- 27:17Speaker 1: putting out during the time of COVID. Disney Plus spent
- 27:21Speaker 1: time doing a documentary about doctor Fauci to imply that
- 27:26Speaker 1: doctor Fauci is the perfect person who should never be doubted,
- 27:30Speaker 1: who should never be questioned, that no one should ever
- 27:33Speaker 1: ask anything about what doctor Fauci tells you do. You
- 27:37Speaker 1: should just do it. If doctor Faucci tells you to jump,
- 27:40Speaker 1: you jump. This was the propaganda that Disney was putting
- 27:45Speaker 1: out to also undermine parents, to make it clear that
- 27:49Speaker 1: your kids are really not your kids, that your kids
- 27:54Speaker 1: our property of the United States government, or your local
- 27:57Speaker 1: school system, and that your kids should the decisions about
- 28:02Speaker 1: what they put in their bodies should be up to
- 28:04Speaker 1: the government and not you, the parents. Disney's smart, they
- 28:11Speaker 1: understand that. From a public relations standpoint, they screwed up.
- 28:15Speaker 1: That's why they announced right before Black Friday that they
- 28:18Speaker 1: have a new CEO. And what they're hoping it will
- 28:21Speaker 1: be is a moment where you say, oh good, I
- 28:24Speaker 1: can now go back to Disney. Understand that Disney has
- 28:27Speaker 1: not changed, and the new CEO is the former CEO,
- 28:31Speaker 1: the same CEO that went after desantists and Republicans saying
- 28:35Speaker 1: that your biggest or a racist or a homophobe if
- 28:38Speaker 1: you don't want schools to talk about transgenderism to your kindergartener,
- 28:42Speaker 1: your first grader, your second grader, and sex ed. There
- 28:47Speaker 1: was nothing in the bill that said don't say gay.
- 28:51Speaker 1: The bill was very clear. All it was was giving
- 28:54Speaker 1: parents the right to say it is not the job
- 28:58Speaker 1: of the school system to a doctrinate my kid on
- 29:02Speaker 1: sexual issues in kindergarten, first or second or third grade.
- 29:06Speaker 1: That's all the bills said. So they're gonna play the game,
- 29:14Speaker 1: and they're gonna hope that you're stupid enough and I
- 29:16Speaker 1: use that word because that's what little respect they have
- 29:19Speaker 1: for you. They're hoping that you're dumb enough to give
- 29:24Speaker 1: them their money and that so they can start the rebound.
- 29:27Speaker 1: At Disney, their stock is plummeted. Their CEO went hardcore woke,
- 29:34Speaker 1: was publicly outspoken. They're now just going to be quiet
- 29:37Speaker 1: and keep doing it in secret. They're gonna keep putting
- 29:40Speaker 1: the lgbtqi A characters in your kid's face, the non
- 29:44Speaker 1: binary characters in your face, to transgender characters in your face.
- 29:48Speaker 1: They're still gonna demand that they be in the lead roles.
- 29:52Speaker 1: As their head of Disney actually said, she said it
- 29:56Speaker 1: never forget that Disney's CEO Andy's Company. By the way,
- 30:01Speaker 1: as two woke, the world is a rich, diverse place
- 30:03Speaker 1: as they described it. Walt Disney CEO pushed back on
- 30:07Speaker 1: the claim that they're coming it become two woke following
- 30:09Speaker 1: its wholeheart embrace of radical transgender ideology and the LGBTQ
- 30:14Speaker 1: activism at the Wall Street Journal Live Tech conference recently.
- 30:19Speaker 1: The CEO responded by saying inclusivity is part of Disney's
- 30:23Speaker 1: storytelling mission. I told you this is about Indoctrin and
- 30:26Speaker 1: of your kids. Through their storytelling, through their g rated content,
- 30:31Speaker 1: adding that he wants Disney to reflect the rich diverse
- 30:34Speaker 1: world that we live in, saying quote, I think the
- 30:37Speaker 1: more complex something is, the more you really have to
- 30:40Speaker 1: drill down into the basics. And we want our content
- 30:44Speaker 1: to reflect the rich diverse world we live in. And again,
- 30:49Speaker 1: I guess that's another way of saying catering to your audience.
- 30:51Speaker 1: But the world is a rich diverse place, and we
- 30:53Speaker 1: want our content to reflect that. And we're so blessed
- 30:57Speaker 1: to have the greatest content creators in this industry. They're
- 31:05Speaker 1: not changing, they're just hoping that you're stupid enough to
- 31:08Speaker 1: give them your money again, thinking that they changed and
- 31:11Speaker 1: they didn't do. Not fall for this big lie. The
- 31:17Speaker 1: Holidays are vitally important to Disney. They desperately need people
- 31:22Speaker 1: like you to say, all right, I'm gonna go back
- 31:24Speaker 1: and spend money because it's easy to spend money on
- 31:27Speaker 1: Mickey Mouse. I'm gonna take my kids back to Disney
- 31:29Speaker 1: because it's easy to do that, because it's just making
- 31:31Speaker 1: the memories. And if we back down and we allow
- 31:35Speaker 1: them to win, they will never learn. The only thing
- 31:37Speaker 1: they're going to learn is all right, maybe don't say
- 31:39Speaker 1: it publicly. Let's just keep it quiet. Let's fake them out.
- 31:45Speaker 1: That's the only thing they're gonna learn is how to
- 31:49Speaker 1: do the PR game with it. Make sure you share
- 31:52Speaker 1: this podcast please with your family and friends ahead of
- 31:54Speaker 1: the big shopping season so other people hear this. And
- 31:58Speaker 1: I will see you back here tomorrow.
