- 2:04Speaker 1: a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now on it only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show to date. Let me share something with you.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I've had to learn this one over and over and
- 2:19Speaker 1: over and over and probably still have to teach it
- 2:23Speaker 1: to myself too. This is a hard one to get,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but it's one of the principles of success. It's called patience. Patience. Now,
- 2:37Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times I've gotten myself
- 2:43Speaker 1: into a jam or a situation because I got impatient,
- 2:49Speaker 1: because I wanted something to happen now. So I made
- 2:53Speaker 1: a move on my own. I tried to push something
- 3:00Speaker 1: I wanted the results of it now. And you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I kind of think that's human nature. I think all
- 3:07Speaker 1: of us are guilty of that from time to time.
- 3:10Speaker 1: But I was guilty of it a lot. You know.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I just wanted what I wanted right now, and I
- 3:15Speaker 1: did some things to try to push it forward. Here's
- 3:19Speaker 1: here's here's the thing that I had to learn about patience.
- 3:23Speaker 1: First of all, success is not an overnight process. It's
- 3:29Speaker 1: a long, daunting task. And when I and I'm not
- 3:34Speaker 1: saying it to sound discouraging to anyone, but I'm saying
- 3:38Speaker 1: it so you can prepare yourself if you have any
- 3:41Speaker 1: aspirations are becoming successful, get ready for the dog fight
- 3:47Speaker 1: of your life. Get ready for one of the hardest
- 3:53Speaker 1: things you'll ever attempt to do, and that's become successful.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Now that those requirements are becoming successful, it's what stops
- 4:05Speaker 1: most people once they strike out on the road to success,
- 4:08Speaker 1: and they see how difficult it is, how many pitfalls, setbacks, hardships,
- 4:14Speaker 1: how high the mountaineers to climb, how deep them valleys
- 4:18Speaker 1: get sometimes, man, how strong the current is in the
- 4:22Speaker 1: rivers you have to cross, how really icy cold it
- 4:25Speaker 1: can get out there sometimes, and man, Lord, have mercy,
- 4:28Speaker 1: how incredibly hot it is out there. Sometimes it's it's
- 4:33Speaker 1: all of it. Becoming successful is all of the things
- 4:38Speaker 1: you could imagine that can happen. It's going to probably happen. Now,
- 4:45Speaker 1: it's how you handle it and how you view it
- 4:48Speaker 1: determines whether you get through it. How you handle it
- 4:53Speaker 1: and how you view it determines how you get through it,
- 4:58Speaker 1: because it's going to happen. And so what you've got
- 5:01Speaker 1: to learn in this process of success is patience. That
- 5:06Speaker 1: is going to be some days when you're trying to
- 5:09Speaker 1: get it right, when you're trying to get it together,
- 5:13Speaker 1: that it's gonna be some setbacks, that it's gonna be
- 5:16Speaker 1: some difficult days and difficult times ahead. That it's going
- 5:20Speaker 1: to be some moments, man, when you just feel like
- 5:23Speaker 1: you don't have enough to go on. You can, you will,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and you have to. But you got to be patient. See,
- 5:34Speaker 1: so many people give up right before the turn can
- 5:38Speaker 1: even happen for you. You've you've heard old people say,
- 5:42Speaker 1: You've heard the saying that it's always darkest before the dawn,
- 5:46Speaker 1: which which simply means, you know, I mean, this is
- 5:49Speaker 1: about as pitch black as it get around three thirty,
- 5:52Speaker 1: four thirty in the morning. Five. It's pitch black because
- 5:58Speaker 1: it's it's it's, it's, it's it. I don't know. It
- 6:00Speaker 1: just feels that way, don't it. You know, it's it's
- 6:02Speaker 1: darkest before the dawn. Every accomplishment that I've had in
- 6:09Speaker 1: my life, every jump in statue, every award, every increment,
- 6:18Speaker 1: every dollar climb, every raise, every elevation in my career,
- 6:24Speaker 1: all my life, almost all of them came on the
- 6:29Speaker 1: heels of a setback. Almost all of them came off
- 6:36Speaker 1: of off of a situation that I was working through,
- 6:39Speaker 1: that that that was about to bring me down, that
- 6:42Speaker 1: I didn't see an answer to. Almost all of my successes, awards, rewards,
- 6:49Speaker 1: however you want to look at it came on the
- 6:51Speaker 1: heels of something that could have been devastating or something
- 6:56Speaker 1: perilous for me. I don't know about you, but that's
- 6:59Speaker 1: how it's happened for me. I mean, right when it
- 7:02Speaker 1: looked hopeless, when I didn't see a way, here came
- 7:08Speaker 1: the blessing. I mean, man, I cannot even tell you
- 7:13Speaker 1: something tragic was happening in my life when the book
- 7:16Speaker 1: came out, Something traffical, trapped or tragic was happening in
- 7:20Speaker 1: my life when family Field came along. Something had gone
- 7:24Speaker 1: incredibly wrong when I started to syndicate a radio show
- 7:29Speaker 1: in two thousand five. I'm telling you, man I and
- 7:33Speaker 1: I I don't know why it is that way, but
- 7:36Speaker 1: that old saying it's always dark as before the dawn
- 7:39Speaker 1: is so true. When I lost something, and I lost
- 7:43Speaker 1: what I thought was everything I had, here comes the
- 7:49Speaker 1: blessing that caused me to have everything I got. I
- 7:53Speaker 1: can't explain it. I don't know why it is, but
- 7:56Speaker 1: it's simply to me it's a test of my faith.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You know. Peter Pablo got a song out on this
- 8:03Speaker 1: album that he came out with back in two thousands,
- 8:06Speaker 1: something called Diary of a Center. I'm not a big
- 8:08Speaker 1: hip hop fan, so I ain't trying to flex that information.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It's just happens to be my favorite hip hop album
- 8:14Speaker 1: I've ever heard. I don't know the name of the song,
- 8:18Speaker 1: but one of the lyrics is um he says, uh
- 8:23Speaker 1: uh uh. He was talking about being down half a
- 8:28Speaker 1: tank of gas, two cigarettes, scraping up change in an
- 8:34Speaker 1: ash tray. But I realized it was only a test
- 8:39Speaker 1: of my faith and right when he was about to
- 8:42Speaker 1: give up something, jumped off for it. But I see,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I've been in that situation where I've been down to
- 8:48Speaker 1: a half a tank of gas and I was scraping
- 8:49Speaker 1: up changeing an ass track. I think a lot of
- 8:51Speaker 1: people can relate to that. But off the heels of
- 8:54Speaker 1: almost all of my mishaps and demises came a success story.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Because it is a test of your faith. It is
- 9:07Speaker 1: do you really want what you say you want? Are
- 9:10Speaker 1: you really determined as you think you are? Are you
- 9:14Speaker 1: really gonna trust in me like you say you trust
- 9:17Speaker 1: in me? Are you going to wait like you say
- 9:20Speaker 1: you're gonna wait? Are you gonna lose your patience and
- 9:23Speaker 1: go take matters into your own hands? Because I can't
- 9:26Speaker 1: tell you the mistakes I've made like that, I've taken
- 9:29Speaker 1: matters into my own hands and had some just messed
- 9:33Speaker 1: up everything, just rushing because I wanted now, so I,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you know, sign a deal here that ain't really that
- 9:40Speaker 1: good a deal, but I'm signing it because I need
- 9:43Speaker 1: to make this now. I need to try to push
- 9:45Speaker 1: this to happen. And and then and then when a
- 9:48Speaker 1: big deal was around the corner, I couldn't be cause
- 9:50Speaker 1: I was into this little deal. Had I just waited, man,
- 9:53Speaker 1: had I just waited and not not lost patience. What
- 9:57Speaker 1: God had for me was just around the corner. And
- 10:00Speaker 1: that's what happens to a lot of us. We we
- 10:03Speaker 1: lose we lose sight of what we you know, there's
- 10:06Speaker 1: you ever heard, just heard people say, Look, if you're
- 10:10Speaker 1: gonna if you're gonna pray about it, don't worry about it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: If you're gonna worry about it, then don't pray about it.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And that's I was just in that cycle. I'll pray
- 10:21Speaker 1: about it, then wear myself to death, then wear myself,
- 10:25Speaker 1: then pray about it, and then I just got all
- 10:27Speaker 1: out of sing. But what I learned was that on
- 10:31Speaker 1: the road to success, you got to be prepared for
- 10:35Speaker 1: it to take a minute, and don't give up, because
- 10:38Speaker 1: right when something terrible is going down in your life,
- 10:42Speaker 1: there's a bright side somewhere, there is a turning point
- 10:45Speaker 1: for you. All it is is a test of your faith.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I had two women on my show the other day.
- 10:50Speaker 1: We were just sitting on stage just crying, man, because
- 10:53Speaker 1: they had been blindsided. Their husbands came in and just
- 10:57Speaker 1: said I'm leaving, I want a divorce, and they didn't
- 10:59Speaker 1: see it coming. And this one lady was saying, well,
- 11:02Speaker 1: who am I if I'm not his wife? Who am I?
- 11:06Speaker 1: She had a twenty one year old son, Who am
- 11:08Speaker 1: I if I'm not his wife? Well, you know what.
- 11:12Speaker 1: The long story. I had some experts here to give
- 11:15Speaker 1: him some help and what to do. This guy wrote
- 11:17Speaker 1: his wife a five fifty dollar check and just said here,
- 11:20Speaker 1: here it is. I'm not giving you nothing else, and
- 11:22Speaker 1: he walked out. I said, oh my goodness, man, this
- 11:26Speaker 1: woman was devastated, but that there's an opportunity here. There's
- 11:30Speaker 1: an opportunity in losing what you think is losing your
- 11:33Speaker 1: husband and your primary breadwether. Is a discuss is a
- 11:36Speaker 1: chance to discover, well who am I? You know, if
- 11:40Speaker 1: you've been lost in this world talking about who am
- 11:42Speaker 1: I if I'm not his wife? Well, here's a gonna
- 11:45Speaker 1: be a great time for you discover who you really are.
- 11:48Speaker 1: And then he could also be a great time for
- 11:50Speaker 1: you to discover a man that really does love you
- 11:53Speaker 1: and standing by you. Be. All of my successes have
- 11:56Speaker 1: come off for heels of great demise. Think about it, y'alls.
- 12:00Speaker 1: A patient God has always coming. You're listening. Eighteen minutes
- 12:11Speaker 1: after the hour. Good Friday, y'all, yes it is. It's
- 12:17Speaker 1: good friend. H All, Fridays are good, but this is
- 12:21Speaker 1: a good fried. Yeah, this is, oh my goodness, frid
- 12:30Speaker 1: good lord. Yeah, it is a good friend. Yeah, the
- 12:36Speaker 1: beginning of the miracle. Let me stop for I expose
- 12:42Speaker 1: how much I've forgotten in Sunday school. Okay, last Sunday,
- 12:48Speaker 1: When last Sunday Palm Sunday was palm Sunday. You used
- 12:55Speaker 1: to love getting the palms. Well, we'll be out there
- 12:57Speaker 1: playing a sword fight. We'll be whooping each other with
- 13:00Speaker 1: ain't doing what you're supposed I used to get three
- 13:04Speaker 1: of them because somebody would always drop there. As I
- 13:06Speaker 1: get three, I braided mine. Oh yeah, real, will I
- 13:11Speaker 1: go cross your back and missing dagn ouch. I like
- 13:15Speaker 1: the way they smell the palm. We were a little boys.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Sure that we never smell them. We were little girls.
- 13:21Speaker 1: We did, and we was outside trying to whip them,
- 13:24Speaker 1: making no pops, we're popping ants without okay, not really
- 13:31Speaker 1: really religious or spiritual about them palms. To us, we
- 13:34Speaker 1: was boys. We didn't kidd so your braided mine. I
- 13:41Speaker 1: took three of them and braid him, and I went
- 13:43Speaker 1: on the crack and here I had, I had, I
- 13:45Speaker 1: almost had a google with Yeah, I know, right, makes
- 13:56Speaker 1: mistake out of may. One time I took my mama's
- 13:58Speaker 1: palm and put him with my When you see that
- 14:01Speaker 1: palm later on? Man, God, did you get it? Get it?
- 14:09Speaker 1: I got there beat down. My mom was so mad
- 14:14Speaker 1: at me. You don't even know what the palm mean,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but you're gonna know what it means. Not take one.
- 14:20Speaker 1: That's what you gotta after. Might not ever know what
- 14:25Speaker 1: they mean, but I bet you're gonna know what I mean.
- 14:28Speaker 1: You're gonna mean when you when when you take one,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'd have got for so many things. I broke from
- 14:38Speaker 1: face one time at Christmas. Remember that little face that
- 14:41Speaker 1: you turned upside down and then turn the round slide
- 14:43Speaker 1: up and it looked like it's flowing in it. I
- 14:46Speaker 1: broke that one time. So the way I fixed it
- 14:48Speaker 1: was I got glue and put it all back together
- 14:52Speaker 1: and then fill it up with water. But I left
- 14:54Speaker 1: a hole in the top of it and then just
- 14:58Speaker 1: set it up there. That wasn't the greatest glue job.
- 15:02Speaker 1: But I don't know why I thought yeah, because when
- 15:06Speaker 1: I turned it over the test that I put my
- 15:08Speaker 1: hand over the little hole, I said, everybody always hold
- 15:11Speaker 1: the top of and turned it over and set it
- 15:13Speaker 1: back down. They won't even notice. My mom went over
- 15:16Speaker 1: and turned the thing upside down. The water came out
- 15:18Speaker 1: that whole. That's a hard thing. It wasn't hard, little,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know. And I hadn't I hadn't got all the
- 15:27Speaker 1: glit u about the rug, so I couldn't bet. Yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: So it wasn't a snowstone. It was just a light flurry,
- 15:41Speaker 1: just a dusty beat for that one time. My mama
- 15:47Speaker 1: had made the cat cake batter and her sister call.
- 15:51Speaker 1: So she had only poured the cake batter in one time.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Uh cake, you know, she's making a three layer cake
- 16:00Speaker 1: and she ad poured it in two in the phone ring. Man,
- 16:02Speaker 1: my nephew walked through the kitchen and we usually could
- 16:05Speaker 1: have a bowl after she was through. Yeah, so we
- 16:09Speaker 1: went down look at all this take better later? Yeah, bad.
- 16:24Speaker 1: She left it for you though. Man. She got off
- 16:27Speaker 1: the phone with her sister, came back in there. Man,
- 16:32Speaker 1: we're sitting at the table, were almost sick. You know.
- 16:36Speaker 1: They made it from scratch back in the day, and
- 16:40Speaker 1: she had gestured writing ingredients. She was making the cake
- 16:43Speaker 1: for the base man to set the Mama beat us
- 16:49Speaker 1: man mercifully all that, butter Now she gotta wake my
- 16:58Speaker 1: daddy up early in the morning. You know what, No
- 17:00Speaker 1: twenty for our stoves. Back then, I gotta wake him
- 17:03Speaker 1: up early. The more he got to be at the
- 17:04Speaker 1: stove when it open, so she could try to get
- 17:08Speaker 1: this cake man. But did she liked to let her
- 17:10Speaker 1: cake sit overnight so would be right? Boy? She was made.
- 17:18Speaker 1: But how did you explain yourself? I know you had
- 17:20Speaker 1: to say something. It was explain it? Who ain't this
- 17:23Speaker 1: cake bath? And we see him A look with your
- 17:25Speaker 1: spoon in our hand? Cake battle on my mouth? My
- 17:29Speaker 1: lips so big I used to couldn't even lick them
- 17:31Speaker 1: all Because I was little. I didn't know how to
- 17:35Speaker 1: feel my lips back then. I hadn't trained them yet.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Uh huh we did, Mom? You you left this man.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Mom you always let us eat a cake bowl, but
- 17:49Speaker 1: I wasn't left those. There was nothing to make a
- 17:51Speaker 1: whole another layer. Y'all set up in a layer. I
- 17:58Speaker 1: looked back at the bowl like it it's something, keep
- 18:02Speaker 1: trying to fix it. But God forbid if she took
- 18:05Speaker 1: a two layered cake to the bake sale. Oh, but
- 18:12Speaker 1: he can't say, not until he had found out he
- 18:13Speaker 1: had to get up early morning to be at that
- 18:15Speaker 1: stone after he worked so hard right at church, You're
- 18:20Speaker 1: gonna get your right. I can't even enjoy the service.
- 18:28Speaker 1: You're nervous. He never did it with me for that though.
- 18:31Speaker 1: He let that one go. Boy, he ruined my day. Though.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I can't play because you wait on that phone. All right,
- 18:43Speaker 1: we're going to the phones now. The question for the
- 18:46Speaker 1: last two weeks has been about office romance. Who in
- 18:49Speaker 1: the office are you kicking it with? Is that your
- 18:51Speaker 1: boss or a coworker? Maybe call us and tell us
- 18:54Speaker 1: about your story back and we're gonna find out the question.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I'm a surprised you should I have a question. Okay
- 19:02Speaker 1: eight seven seven, twenty nine, Steve, but coming back to me.
- 19:06Speaker 1: We'll be back. Oh lord, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 19:10Speaker 1: Morning Show. Thirty four minutes after that, we're back here.
- 19:15Speaker 1: We are sure. The question of the day is what
- 19:18Speaker 1: it's about office romances? Have you ever had a romance
- 19:21Speaker 1: with someone in your office? Was it your boss? Did
- 19:24Speaker 1: people know about it? Was it a secret? That's the
- 19:27Speaker 1: question of it. Okay, hypothetical question for you, shure, okay,
- 19:31Speaker 1: hypothetical only hypothetical. Okay, if you had to have an
- 19:37Speaker 1: office relationship on this show, who would you pick? I
- 19:43Speaker 1: think that's quite easy. Yeah, yeah, that's that's no brainer.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Is that a question? Is? This is my question? Is
- 19:51Speaker 1: my answer? But it would be you. I mean, come on,
- 19:53Speaker 1: you're the boss, you're rich. I just said it. It's
- 19:57Speaker 1: the boss and he's rich. See what is the shows?
- 20:04Speaker 1: That's your decision? Put your shocked? Do I'm sorry over here? Electrocuted? Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I'm sorry, man, be unshocked, man, not you cuted. I
- 20:18Speaker 1: don't be honest with you. I'm gonna be over there
- 20:20Speaker 1: to you. I don't sleep with him. It could be
- 20:24Speaker 1: a bromance though, man, that's why I asked. You said, poor,
- 20:29Speaker 1: go ahead of time to tell him what? Man? I
- 20:32Speaker 1: don't know why I want to ask. I want Sureley
- 20:35Speaker 1: to tell me why. He just told you he's the boss.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Perks right there. I mean, come on, Sureley, I think
- 20:43Speaker 1: you're missing the question. He's asked, Okay, what what? Well?
- 20:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to explain to him in my answer, he's
- 20:51Speaker 1: the post. I ain't got lord, how do you have
- 20:58Speaker 1: to tell him out for this man. He had the boss.
- 21:06Speaker 1: You got perks built in the boss. He this is hypothetical, hypothetical,
- 21:14Speaker 1: don't forget. He's very, very rich. He's jet Do you
- 21:24Speaker 1: have a private jet? No? No, but I got some.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I got a lot of freaking flying male. Oh United.
- 21:31Speaker 1: We still have to go through security. Yeah, I still
- 21:39Speaker 1: gotta take my shoes off. No, man, it's Steve all Day.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I can't believe this short, hyper extended, hyper extended question.
- 21:51Speaker 1: And then you're gonna not an elbow or a nique question.
- 21:55Speaker 1: This was who on the show would you date? Hypothetically? Okay,
- 22:02Speaker 1: if you could and you ain't gonna, why wouldn't you
- 22:07Speaker 1: go to the top? I don't get it. Yeah, that
- 22:13Speaker 1: far behind him? And and he's not short. He's not short.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not short either. Okay, I'm not sure.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but I'm not short. Yeah. Yeah, you
- 22:33Speaker 1: might not be short either, but you short Turk. Then
- 22:39Speaker 1: the boss, the CEO. Let's see, let's see, Shirley, you
- 22:45Speaker 1: missed the line, Tommy, what did you say before? You know?
- 22:48Speaker 1: You're not what? You're not behind? I ain't that? Oh financially,
- 22:54Speaker 1: did he say that? I thought I was hearing things
- 22:58Speaker 1: about you really say, what's hunting me? You know what
- 23:03Speaker 1: I mean? Come on now, Okay, I got I got
- 23:08Speaker 1: a cup of CDs too short, Yeah, yeah, okay, I
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't don't think I'm over here. I got some CDs.

- 26:18Speaker 1: We'll be back. Go right on my computer. I'm talking
- 26:20Speaker 1: about all the commas I want to I got. You're
- 26:24Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right for that.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Minutes after that, we come back. We got we're about
- 26:32Speaker 1: to run that prank back, and then we got surprise
- 26:35Speaker 1: for you to top it out. The saga continues. They
- 26:38Speaker 1: came to get will A Turner out of his seat
- 26:41Speaker 1: on United. Y'all don't want to miss Willy didn't go quiet.
- 26:50Speaker 1: We're gonna run that prankback. I got me and my
- 26:52Speaker 1: Jesus coming up. Lord on Good Friday. You gotta run
- 26:59Speaker 1: that thing. Hello, I'm trying to reach your sister. How
- 27:14Speaker 1: you doing. I'm giving you a call on behalf of
- 27:17Speaker 1: Baptist Church. You are a member there? Am I right? Okay?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Listen um, I'm calling you. They they some of the
- 27:26Speaker 1: members have gotten together and had a meeting and wanted
- 27:29Speaker 1: me to give you a call. It seems that a
- 27:34Speaker 1: lot of them are complaining about Sunday services that go
- 27:38Speaker 1: on and wanted for me to give you a call
- 27:41Speaker 1: on their behalf so that we can see if we
- 27:43Speaker 1: can address the problem and talk to you diligently as
- 27:46Speaker 1: possible and try to get the problem rectified. What's going on? Well,
- 27:51Speaker 1: it seems like that a lot of members are complaining.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I'm sorry, and what is your name against My name
- 27:59Speaker 1: is man. Uh, I'm not actually a member of the church.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I've just been the one that they've been asked to
- 28:05Speaker 1: give you a call and try to talk on the
- 28:07Speaker 1: members behalfs. So maybe we can get this problem, rectify
- 28:10Speaker 1: that you that they have Uh, as far as you
- 28:13Speaker 1: are concerned, Okay, go ahead. I'm just trying to see
- 28:15Speaker 1: what this is in regards to go ahead. Well, it
- 28:18Speaker 1: seems like the members of the church are complaining about
- 28:21Speaker 1: that you're doing too much shouting at church on Sunday,
- 28:26Speaker 1: and it seems to be going on every Sunday. You're
- 28:28Speaker 1: running up and down the aisle and you're shouting all
- 28:30Speaker 1: over the place. And it's me. I've been singled out
- 28:35Speaker 1: about my shouting. Wellever Dindy is distracting, man, You're distracting
- 28:40Speaker 1: everyone from me getting the word and listen to the
- 28:42Speaker 1: word and being involved in the service. And that's the
- 28:45Speaker 1: purpose of the call is to see if we can
- 28:47Speaker 1: get you to tone it down something. Okay, So the
- 28:49Speaker 1: whole church is complaining about me shouting the way people
- 28:52Speaker 1: run up and down them off every Sunday and almost
- 28:56Speaker 1: taying caught wheels and flips and they're singling me out,
- 28:58Speaker 1: complained about me. Well, ma'am, I don't know how it
- 29:02Speaker 1: is that you can see everybody else doing car wheels
- 29:04Speaker 1: when you're the ones that that they say is the
- 29:06Speaker 1: one that's doing them being singled out. Man, All I'm
- 29:10Speaker 1: saying is that they're saying that you're doing too much
- 29:13Speaker 1: shouting and too much running at this church. Now I'm
- 29:15Speaker 1: just the message. Okay. They can't tell me how to shout.
- 29:18Speaker 1: They don't. They can't tell me what's going on in
- 29:20Speaker 1: my life, what's gonna keep me from praising God? And they,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I mean, they could just they could go somewhere else
- 29:26Speaker 1: with that, But they're not gonna tell me that I
- 29:28Speaker 1: can't praise my God. They don't know how good God
- 29:30Speaker 1: has been to me. And you know what, I understand
- 29:33Speaker 1: that I agree with you wholeheartedly. But it's becoming a distraction.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I mean, they was at the point last night talking
- 29:39Speaker 1: about should we put some seatbelts on the pews so
- 29:42Speaker 1: so you can stay down high? They gonna tell people
- 29:46Speaker 1: they can't shout in church, embrace God. What do we
- 29:48Speaker 1: come to church for? Well, you do come to We
- 29:51Speaker 1: need to be trying to plaise God and get their
- 29:53Speaker 1: own shout on and stop looking at me and about
- 29:55Speaker 1: what I'm doing. We're gonna need you to quit running
- 29:57Speaker 1: up and down these aisles and doing what you're going.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I'm sorry, you know, I'm trying to stay calm. I'm
- 30:03Speaker 1: trying my best. Who Jesus, Jesus sure that that's not happy?
- 30:08Speaker 1: You can't tell me I gotta stop shouting? Okay, man,
- 30:10Speaker 1: But let me ask you. Are you running now? Aren't
- 30:13Speaker 1: you just standing still? Talking? But I don't have to
- 30:15Speaker 1: run right now? Okay, what I'm trying to get you
- 30:18Speaker 1: to do? You know, like if I want to run
- 30:20Speaker 1: up and down this street right now, I can run
- 30:21Speaker 1: up and down the street and place God. But they're
- 30:23Speaker 1: not gonna tell me to stop shouting at church? Can
- 30:25Speaker 1: we get you to be a little bit more reserved
- 30:27Speaker 1: as what we see? Man? Let me let me go
- 30:29Speaker 1: ahead and go further on what they do the spirit moves. Okay, well,
- 30:34Speaker 1: let me move and tell you what they've told me. Now.
- 30:38Speaker 1: If we can't get to the point where you can,
- 30:40Speaker 1: you know, tone it down, then we may have to
- 30:43Speaker 1: ask you to leave. Let them ask me us, Jesus Jesus,
- 30:50Speaker 1: you let them ask me, why don't they want me
- 30:52Speaker 1: to leave the church. I've been at that church for
- 30:55Speaker 1: fifteen years. I'm not leaving the church. I'm gonna run
- 30:57Speaker 1: up and I'm not gonna on the church. I don't
- 31:00Speaker 1: even turn me some flips where am I I feel
- 31:03Speaker 1: like not not not not not listen, think that that's all.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I'm okay, go ahead, but I'm gonna be there. I'm
- 31:09Speaker 1: going to I am going to be there on Sunday, man,
- 31:12Speaker 1: and I have been the person that's been appointed to
- 31:15Speaker 1: make sure that you're not running up and down these
- 31:17Speaker 1: house and shotting like this. You're got to keep yourself
- 31:19Speaker 1: reserved so people can hear the word of God. You
- 31:22Speaker 1: are standing in people's word. That's what you're doing. You're
- 31:24Speaker 1: in the whale. If they come trying to send me down,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna get him a word and ain't gonna be
- 31:28Speaker 1: your God. So put that hands up on me here,
- 31:31Speaker 1: not listen. I'm trying to hear that. Now you can
- 31:34Speaker 1: say I haven't been in that church fifteen years. If
- 31:36Speaker 1: I want to run, dad shout, jump quit. Whatever I
- 31:40Speaker 1: want to do, I'm gonna do it. It ain't nobody
- 31:42Speaker 1: gonna stop me. You're gonna have to stop this. This
- 31:44Speaker 1: past Sunday was your last Sunday doing it. And you're
- 31:47Speaker 1: not gonna do with this Sunday like I said, just why?
- 31:51Speaker 1: And I'm telling you can tell the I don't choose
- 31:52Speaker 1: the deacon boyd, the deaconess, the minister's wives or who
- 31:55Speaker 1: ever asked you want to tell. Let him put their
- 31:57Speaker 1: hands on me and see if I don't swing on them,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna come. I'm about the spirit and sling on.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'm telling you that now because he said you don't
- 32:03Speaker 1: really push me that I have tried. I just tried.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Let me ask you this here, where is trying to
- 32:09Speaker 1: show that I'm saved and never? But you make it
- 32:11Speaker 1: you you're making me revert back to my own ways
- 32:13Speaker 1: and you you really me out that's what you're gonna do. Okay, Well,
- 32:17Speaker 1: let me ask you this, what is the God at
- 32:19Speaker 1: right now? And you where is the one that say
- 32:22Speaker 1: it is? The God was in me when I was
- 32:24Speaker 1: trying to be called with you had first to tell
- 32:25Speaker 1: you know me calling me with this polishness. But now
- 32:28Speaker 1: you have to make the other side of me rose up. Well,
- 32:30Speaker 1: you wouldn't raised it up and you wouldn't raised it
- 32:32Speaker 1: up in me too. Guess what come signing, you're gonna
- 32:35Speaker 1: set y'all in that pew and you ain't gonna you
- 32:37Speaker 1: know when you call yourself on the anna pe Okay,

- 42:42Speaker 1: I will say this. We will be back with more people.
- 42:47Speaker 1: We're coming back back. What you want to come back? Wait,
- 42:51Speaker 1: you're listening, Steve morning, I ty welcome back, coming up.
- 42:57Speaker 1: We got the butterfly. And also, let you know, the
- 43:01Speaker 1: sagles continued Willie. They came to get Willie. He's too
- 43:07Speaker 1: much off the plane, Willie. Next week we were here
- 43:11Speaker 1: Mo because we just found out Willie and climbed up
- 43:15Speaker 1: in the overhead and then where it's just he's a
- 43:22Speaker 1: good guy without laughing. Next week the saga continued. Right now,
- 43:33Speaker 1: we got the butterfly. Good morning everyone, Stephen time he
- 43:41Speaker 1: Shirley College Junior, Good morning, good good good Friday to everyone.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning. Butterfly. Flap flap o brother.
- 43:49Speaker 1: He would not come down from that cross just to
- 43:51Speaker 1: save himself. He did that. He would not come down
- 43:57Speaker 1: from flat cross just to him. You know, I'm directing
- 44:02Speaker 1: the cart for on Sunday, so I'm getting ready for that.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I still direct the car on Sundays. He what not
- 44:10Speaker 1: come dot from that cross, just too himself. Ya gotta
- 44:15Speaker 1: come to church with me on Sunday. Now, listen, this
- 44:17Speaker 1: is what you all have to know about Sunday. Sunday
- 44:21Speaker 1: is gonna be a beautiful, beautiful thing. If you have
- 44:23Speaker 1: If you haven't been going to church, please you want
- 44:26Speaker 1: to get there on time. If you haven't been going,
- 44:28Speaker 1: please sit in the back and just watch everybody else
- 44:30Speaker 1: because you do not know what you're doing. Church has
- 44:32Speaker 1: truly changed. So if you ain't wenting last year, you
- 44:35Speaker 1: need to get yourself together and follow follow proper protocol
- 44:39Speaker 1: and watch everyone else because you do not know what
- 44:42Speaker 1: you are dealing. Okay, all right, pray do you more?
- 44:46Speaker 1: That is that's when they stand up, call you to
- 44:49Speaker 1: the altar and they pray there. All right, don't just
- 44:52Speaker 1: sit in your seat because you ain't been been here
- 44:54Speaker 1: by eight nine months. Get don't up there and get
- 44:56Speaker 1: prayed for. It's a beautiful thing. It iss when they
- 45:01Speaker 1: they're gonna pass the tray around, they're not gonna be
- 45:03Speaker 1: walking around, no, mother, don't they don't do all that walking.
- 45:06Speaker 1: The tray come down and I'll take the basket. Have
- 45:08Speaker 1: something to put in it. A lot of you people
- 45:10Speaker 1: that don't come to church don't have any money to
- 45:11Speaker 1: put in it, put it in the basket, pass it
- 45:14Speaker 1: to the person next to you. That's the way we
- 45:16Speaker 1: do it. Okay, here's all going to church this weekend,
- 45:22Speaker 1: all of us be definitely all right. You're going to Sound,
- 45:27Speaker 1: I'm going to Sunride, I'm going I'm going to all
- 45:29Speaker 1: the services. What are you wearing, butterfly? Well, you know,
- 45:33Speaker 1: praise of worship. We don't really wear the robes anymore.
- 45:36Speaker 1: You wear what youever you want to wear. UM will
- 45:39Speaker 1: normally wear a black but tomorrow I'm gonna be wearing
- 45:41Speaker 1: a very very hot pink shirt, you know, because it's
- 45:45Speaker 1: it's Easter. So I want to have some Easter colors on,
- 45:47Speaker 1: some white pants and some white shoes. So that's gonna
- 45:51Speaker 1: be my Easter enseimble for news. Wow, choker, no time
- 45:58Speaker 1: but a child? What a choker? Bright? You know? Necklace?
- 46:05Speaker 1: Because what jr? Because there can be but one? Truely Okay,
- 46:09Speaker 1: but I'm gonna be up there directing the choir. He
- 46:13Speaker 1: would not come down from the cross, jestice save himself.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I love it. I cannot wait. He would not come
- 46:21Speaker 1: down from the cross, Yes, to save himself. Now did
- 46:26Speaker 1: your choir? Um? Do they dance? And things like that yes, yes,
- 46:31Speaker 1: and Pastor has allowed me on this particulous. We're gonna
- 46:34Speaker 1: marching in and I can't wait for that. We're gonna
- 46:38Speaker 1: remember the old school how they used to march in,
- 46:42Speaker 1: So we're gonna start from the back and we're gonna marching.
- 46:44Speaker 1: He's allowed us to do only at one service, We're
- 46:46Speaker 1: allowed to actually march in. So I think I'm very
- 46:48Speaker 1: excited about marching. And all of you old school churches
- 46:51Speaker 1: out there, don't forget where you came from. You got
- 46:53Speaker 1: so big in your mega now listen marching in every
- 46:56Speaker 1: now and then. It ain't nothing wrong with marching in
- 47:00Speaker 1: for me because it was hard for me to hold
- 47:01Speaker 1: the rhythm that long step. But you got and you
- 47:04Speaker 1: gotta rock. You cannot be rocking from side to side
- 47:06Speaker 1: and be out of sekers with everybody else. You got
- 47:09Speaker 1: to get on the right foot. You got to get
- 47:11Speaker 1: on the right foot on the right beat, baby, and
- 47:13Speaker 1: bouncing back and forth. And the old sis don't know
- 47:15Speaker 1: how to do what they know what they do. It's
- 47:18Speaker 1: gonna be some hats in here that on this Sunday
- 47:19Speaker 1: and it it's gonna be a lot of hats. I
- 47:22Speaker 1: have a section we want our hats to sit on
- 47:24Speaker 1: one side together so other people can see the service.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Your you wore your tips so people can see your hat.
- 47:33Speaker 1: You're gonna have to sit on the far right in
- 47:36Speaker 1: the sanctuary. Everyone else without hats can sit in the
- 47:38Speaker 1: middle and on the other side far right are the hats.
- 47:43Speaker 1: And that's the Modifly blog. It's the Easter blog today,
- 47:46Speaker 1: so everyone have a good time in Easter eggs are
- 47:49Speaker 1: normally right after them. The second service is the big
- 47:53Speaker 1: Easter egg Hunt. You're listening, but for minutes after that,
- 47:59Speaker 1: we we're going to the Phones' question of the day
- 48:01Speaker 1: is have you ever had a fan with somebody in
- 48:03Speaker 1: your office? A co worker? Thought about it? How they go?
- 48:06Speaker 1: Didn't work out? Did you make the move? Eight seven
- 48:09Speaker 1: seven ninety Okay? Our question of the week is about
- 48:19Speaker 1: office romance. Who are you dating or if you're dating
- 48:22Speaker 1: someone at the office, we want to know about it.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Is it a co worker? Is that your boss? Call us?
- 48:27Speaker 1: Eight seven seven nine Steve, let's go to the phones
- 48:30Speaker 1: and talk to Dwayne online too, out of Louisiana. Dwayne,
- 48:37Speaker 1: we're going on never when you didn't too though? Well,
- 48:46Speaker 1: amain where you've been in the office fair hand had
- 48:49Speaker 1: one of them helmed up in there, had that pressure
- 48:52Speaker 1: on him. Wayne were talking to us. No, let me
- 49:00Speaker 1: let me help you. Wayne. Listen to me, Dayne, listen
- 49:05Speaker 1: to out there right man. I was talking to my daughter. Man, Hey,
- 49:10Speaker 1: I'm sorry, okay, because I've been saying, quay louse, what
- 49:15Speaker 1: it is? How us doing, sir? He was, day We're
- 49:20Speaker 1: going on you. Hey, nothing much. Man. Back when I
- 49:23Speaker 1: was in college, you know, I had took the night job, right,
- 49:26Speaker 1: you know, trying to make some means meet. So it's
- 49:28Speaker 1: a little lady and that it was used to work
- 49:30Speaker 1: inside um you know what you're taking the truck because
- 49:33Speaker 1: it was a warehouse. She used to do the paperwork
- 49:35Speaker 1: for the truckers. Anyway, nice little female. So she kind
- 49:39Speaker 1: of reminds, you know, the type of female that's to
- 49:42Speaker 1: you know, and but tone boys at the same time,
- 49:44Speaker 1: you know, like that Chanal Lathan Cambriage loving basketball. So
- 49:48Speaker 1: I had to have him because I was a basketball
- 49:49Speaker 1: player also. So anyway, we started doing our thing, we
- 49:52Speaker 1: started hanging out, and we start you know, getting real
- 49:55Speaker 1: cousin and close. So it was developable little situation. So
- 50:01Speaker 1: they started a little too comporable uncomfortable me because she
- 50:04Speaker 1: wanted me to pick up for work, take her home.
- 50:06Speaker 1: You know, I had other stuff to do. She was
- 50:07Speaker 1: taking up my time from school. So I kind of
- 50:10Speaker 1: backed off a little bit, but I eased off. I
- 50:12Speaker 1: didn't kind of just like telling, which I should have.
- 50:15Speaker 1: But about time, you know, I did decided to do it.
- 50:18Speaker 1: About a week later she made supervisor. So ya going
- 50:22Speaker 1: from there. Now, I had the best job in a
- 50:26Speaker 1: warehouse because she used to me take the long race
- 50:30Speaker 1: study they do anything I want to do. Because what
- 50:32Speaker 1: I did was the people just to pull the palace
- 50:35Speaker 1: off truck. It was a big screen tvsa's right around
- 50:38Speaker 1: the fourth up all day. Just put him in a
- 50:39Speaker 1: little slots. Hey, going back in the break room and
- 50:42Speaker 1: down all right. First day she did was it took
- 50:44Speaker 1: me off that truck, down walking around. Remember those little
- 50:47Speaker 1: pumps you act, did you had to pump up? Yeah? Yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 1: for the first day she didn't took me from one
- 50:54Speaker 1: I had to take the palace from one end to
- 50:56Speaker 1: the next end and put him in the slots. So
- 50:58Speaker 1: it was wearing me out, I know, was staiding and
- 51:00Speaker 1: not working that. So I was like, okay, Then I
- 51:02Speaker 1: said she got lit latitude. I said, they ain't on
- 51:04Speaker 1: best with so I'm just gonna keep doing my pain.
- 51:07Speaker 1: She saw that one word, so next thing she did
- 51:11Speaker 1: was took me on that detail and put me on
- 51:13Speaker 1: a little the truck. Okay, you ain't worry about it.
- 51:16Speaker 1: I got my people with me right here. They're gonna
- 51:18Speaker 1: help me out. They know she tripping or whatever. They
- 51:20Speaker 1: kind of knew. A matter of fact. They used to
- 51:23Speaker 1: ride around on the Fort Gibert. I used to be
- 51:24Speaker 1: on and blow the horn that b and say, she
- 51:26Speaker 1: bro I told you not to do that. Yeah, man,
- 51:31Speaker 1: need look at you. They were talking, they were tunting you.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I was strong. I didn't need to get to me.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I was strong. So she putting on the truck down load.
- 51:46Speaker 1: So I started on loading the truck. You know, I
- 51:47Speaker 1: didn't want to big deal because don't think man to
- 51:49Speaker 1: do it. Pull it out and kind of set it
- 51:51Speaker 1: to the side for the Fort Live populator. So I
- 51:54Speaker 1: like cool, But the trucks were so she thought that
- 51:57Speaker 1: was gonna wear on me because back then, you know,
- 51:59Speaker 1: I thought I was at your boy. So I used
- 52:00Speaker 1: to coming up. You don't work kind of cleaning, it
- 52:03Speaker 1: would happen. So she thought that was gonna work on
- 52:04Speaker 1: me about being being sweaty like that. So I ain't
- 52:07Speaker 1: let it bother. But I tell you what happened that.
- 52:09Speaker 1: You know that old sin and said that straw that
- 52:11Speaker 1: broke the camel back, But this was a strong that
- 52:14Speaker 1: broke the wayne back. I came away one night and
- 52:16Speaker 1: she pointed and said that your truck. What you made
- 52:19Speaker 1: with my truck? She said, I need you to unload
- 52:21Speaker 1: that truck by lunchtime. Now we're talking about all this
- 52:24Speaker 1: big screen TV. She said, unloaded my hand because we
- 52:27Speaker 1: don't have any jacksonvilla. I said, you see me, con
- 52:32Speaker 1: don't do it like that. You know I'm good. We
- 52:34Speaker 1: need to huh and available. So I get that a
- 52:37Speaker 1: little and I'll tell you what my lunchtime I only
- 52:39Speaker 1: did fixed. So when I went out of my car,
- 52:41Speaker 1: I just sat there and I said I needed to
- 52:43Speaker 1: make some life of seas right now. So what I
- 52:48Speaker 1: did was I thought that bad boy, if I got
- 52:50Speaker 1: him down, I adn't gonna quit because it wasn't gonna
- 52:53Speaker 1: get no better for me. Still, I had to come
- 52:56Speaker 1: get all down, so I ain't ever having to quit it.
- 52:59Speaker 1: But I tell on anybody, if you date somebody in
- 53:01Speaker 1: the job. You better make sure she didn't look clean
- 53:04Speaker 1: up later or something like that with the aspirations of
- 53:09Speaker 1: no chance of advancement. Well, that was a great story.
- 53:18Speaker 1: We're talking to you. You're listening Morning show. Hey, coming
- 53:24Speaker 1: up on top of that, we got Strawberry letter. But
- 53:27Speaker 1: come on for what you got, Steve. Sunday ain't gonna
- 53:30Speaker 1: be right without praise dancers. Praise dances. You need that
- 53:38Speaker 1: on Sunday. Phrase dancers, watch me work. This is the
- 53:56Speaker 1: day that the Lord is man. Let us Rejorge and
- 53:58Speaker 1: be glad any how you're doing. I'm looking for uh
- 54:01Speaker 1: since Italia. This is Brother Fuller from the church. How
- 54:06Speaker 1: are you. Oh, I'm a brother full How are you?
- 54:09Speaker 1: I'm good? I'm good. Um. We wanted to give you
- 54:12Speaker 1: a call about the about the praise dance and that's
- 54:14Speaker 1: at the church. First of all, I wanted to really
- 54:16Speaker 1: show you how much uh you're doing a great job
- 54:18Speaker 1: over there with the praise dances and you you definitely
- 54:20Speaker 1: do a great job on uh eapy third Sunday that
- 54:23Speaker 1: you guys actually perform. Everybody seemed to really like it. Well,
- 54:26Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. What can I do for you today?
- 54:28Speaker 1: It was a bit of a situation with um. You know,
- 54:31Speaker 1: it's been brought to our attention. We actually had a
- 54:33Speaker 1: small gathering, a little meeting about it and wanted to
- 54:35Speaker 1: I've been elected to actually give you a call. And
- 54:38Speaker 1: who is this? I'm sorry who brother Fuller? Uh huh?
- 54:43Speaker 1: And and who had a meeting uh some of the
- 54:46Speaker 1: brothers at the church and and uh path to actually
- 54:49Speaker 1: sat in for a moment on it. And I was
- 54:51Speaker 1: actually elected to actually just give you a call. It
- 54:53Speaker 1: and nothing that. I don't think we can't get rectified
- 54:57Speaker 1: and you know, move on smoothly as we normally do.
- 55:00Speaker 1: But I just think it's we wanted to reach out
- 55:02Speaker 1: to you and kind of make you aware of it.
- 55:03Speaker 1: If it's if you don't mind, okay, Um? And what
- 55:07Speaker 1: things are those? Well? Since Tellia has any of the
- 55:12Speaker 1: praise dancers before they became praise dances? Was was was
- 55:19Speaker 1: was any of them strippers? I beg your partner, was
- 55:23Speaker 1: any of the praise dancers that at the church that
- 55:26Speaker 1: you have on the praise team right now with any
- 55:29Speaker 1: of them strippers in the past. I'm sorry, sir, I
- 55:32Speaker 1: don't I don't really know who you are. UM. And
- 55:35Speaker 1: I don't really understand this line of question. But like
- 55:37Speaker 1: I said, i'm brother Full. I don't think we've met.
- 55:39Speaker 1: But like I said, I've been elected to give you
- 55:41Speaker 1: a call. Not now. It seems like what happened is
- 55:45Speaker 1: this past week when you all actually uh danced, it
- 55:48Speaker 1: seemed like a couple of the girls was actually a
- 55:51Speaker 1: gyrating during the praise routine. Hey, what chat raising? Brother Full.
- 55:56Speaker 1: I don't know who you are, and I don't know
- 55:57Speaker 1: what you saw. None of my girls which are rating,
- 56:01Speaker 1: they would dancing for the Lord. And I think if
- 56:04Speaker 1: you look through your Lord's I perhaps you would see
- 56:06Speaker 1: them better, except maybe you were looking through the jar rating. No,
- 56:10Speaker 1: she's a couple of girl. We can point them out.
- 56:12Speaker 1: A couple of them have uh stript girl tendencies of
- 56:15Speaker 1: it then, because some of them has been girls tendencies.
- 56:19Speaker 1: You know what, sir, I think we need to complete
- 56:23Speaker 1: this call praps. I need to compet ship and speak
- 56:25Speaker 1: to him myself, because you know, I don't know what
- 56:27Speaker 1: you do all days, but I have a real job
- 56:29Speaker 1: and I'm sitting here holding a conversation in my office
- 56:31Speaker 1: about jar rating strippers in the church. Are you kidding me? Now? Listen.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Now here's a couple of other things that they're talking about.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Some of the girls, uh feet a real ass you
- 56:41Speaker 1: when you all a performing and they wanted to see
- 56:43Speaker 1: and maybe you can you can. I don't know. Maybe
- 56:46Speaker 1: I don't know if y'all need to grip or whatever
- 56:47Speaker 1: that y'all don't. Y'all don't put lotion on. We're not
- 56:50Speaker 1: sure what that is. As well as the tone of father.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Everybody has three full five different designs and everything is it?
- 56:58Speaker 1: Any way, y'all can be in unison what you're told
- 57:01Speaker 1: upon us. But the most important thing ill the gi
- 57:04Speaker 1: raton doing the dance rout team. I don't know what
- 57:07Speaker 1: your feet look like. I don't need you calling me
- 57:09Speaker 1: talking to me about my girls their feet, their nail polish.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Perhaps your man should be on Jesus instead of on them.
- 57:16Speaker 1: How about that man? From my mind, I don't have time.
- 57:19Speaker 1: I don't have time your mama, and to be on
- 57:22Speaker 1: Jesus when somebody's shaking them. But at the church, that's
- 57:25Speaker 1: the problem, you know what. Look, I'm at work now,
- 57:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to keep a work tone. You gonna make
- 57:30Speaker 1: me curse up there? Now, let me tell you something
- 57:32Speaker 1: don't call me anymore. I will deal with pastor. If
- 57:35Speaker 1: he has something to say with me, he can say
- 57:36Speaker 1: it to me personally. But I'm done with this conversation.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Are you gonna deal with the GI Rayton? Is what
- 57:41Speaker 1: we want to know? Maybe you know what? It just
- 57:44Speaker 1: hit me. Maybe you're one of the ones that's doing
- 57:47Speaker 1: the GI rate. Look, let me tell you something. My
- 57:49Speaker 1: girls are going to ra and neither am I. Now
- 57:52Speaker 1: I am done with this conversation. Do you understand? But listen,
- 57:55Speaker 1: I'm done or you're done with That's what we want
- 57:58Speaker 1: to stop so we can we can praise the Lord.
- 58:01Speaker 1: If the boot isn't shake, you know what church? Look,
- 58:05Speaker 1: I gotta go to work. I gotta go now again.
- 58:07Speaker 1: I don't know what your issue is. It sounds to
- 58:09Speaker 1: me like you have an issue which I reading booties
- 58:12Speaker 1: and I heard so much reading booties in one conversation
- 58:14Speaker 1: in my entire life. Now my mind is set on Jesus.
- 58:17Speaker 1: I don't know what your man is set on. What
- 58:19Speaker 1: tell you before you was a praise? Then? Uh? The
- 58:22Speaker 1: ministry over the ministry? Did did you all use the
- 58:25Speaker 1: strip didn't do no striping? Now did your wife do
- 58:28Speaker 1: any striping? What did your mom? I'm gonna do any striping?
- 58:30Speaker 1: What I mean? When you heard what I said you,
- 58:33Speaker 1: how do you like doing? Somebody call? You would ask
- 58:35Speaker 1: you if your mamma get some script? And how do
- 58:36Speaker 1: you like that? You know what? I want to know?
- 58:39Speaker 1: When is the next rehearsal? That the way I can

- 59:04Speaker 1: coming through that, you know what? That's it. That's it.
- 59:06Speaker 1: You called me disrespecting me. I'm at work. I can't
- 59:09Speaker 1: even have this to more. You know what, don't call

- 59:13Speaker 1: Man come to the church and see what I got

- 59:34Speaker 1: And I said I got one more thing to say?
- 59:36Speaker 1: Is you listen? You know what men? Get out of
- 59:37Speaker 1: my phone. I'm gonna say it anyway. This is nephew
- 59:41Speaker 1: timent from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your entire praise
- 59:46Speaker 1: and ministry congregation. All your girls got me the frank

- 1:00:03Speaker 1: I got the baddest radio show in the lad nobody
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: else for the Steve Show. All right, I got a
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: job that I'm proud that I have. I gotta tell
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you about this new gig. Y'all ready for it? Yeah,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: We're ready. Dallas, Texas, June at the Dallas Convention Center Arena.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Mega Fest Comedy Show A Time to Laugh, hosted by
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: yours truly nephew Tommy Friday Night, June thirty. I am
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a part of Mega Fest, and I'm proud to say
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: that I am happy to be the host of your
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: comedy show. Headline in the show is the one and
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: only Cedric the Entertainer, and we're gonna make him laugh
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: without any profanity involved. Watching me work. Baby's Coming. It's
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: coming June thirty at the Dallas Convention Center Arena. Are
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: you sale you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show?
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Is a subject does he deserve to carry our child
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: income tax time? My ex boyfriend wants to carry our
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: daughter on his income taxes this coming year. He is
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: on child support and gets her every other weekend. I
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: don't ask him for additional help and he doesn't offer it.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: He asked me about a week ago if he could
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: carry our daughter and I said no. He got mad
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: and told me don't ever ask him for anything for her.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: If he does by her something, he's going to take
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: it to his sister's house. I told him I had
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to pay three thousand dollars on a place for us
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: to stay, and he replied, what does that have to
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: do with me? He has carried her before, but now
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I have obligations that I have to take care of.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: A part of me wants to let him carry her.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: But I'm torn between which is right, keeping the money
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: from me and the kids or just let him carry
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: her because he is her father. I had said, this
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: is a problem with a lot of couples, you know, Um,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: should I or should I say former couples and exes? Uh,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: they go through this a lot. Who will write the
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: child off this year? Usually the parent who has custody
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: of the child, though, gets the tax right off. But um,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I've even heard of cases where parents rotate. You take
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: her this year, you know, you write her off this
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: year or whatever whatever. But I think it should be
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: the parent with custody because to me that they have
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: the bigger burden, the bigger challenge. Uh, they're the ones
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: that should have the tax right off. It is immature
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: and responsive, irresponsible of him to get mad and threatened
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to cut you off. So I say, if you're carrying
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: most of the load, you should get the benefit on
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: your taxes and tell him new, Well, I mean, here's
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: a deal with it, though, folks, And this is just
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: plain and simple. What's happening here. If you the ex
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: boyfriend and you're wanting to carry your daughter who lives
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: with the mother on your income tax, here's what legally
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: you can claim right now, the money that you pay
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: for child support. That's what you can write off. If
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: you are sending hello, if you are for child support,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: you can write that off. Or if you're sending money
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: for daycare, you can write that off. Or if you
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: for supplying some educational needs, you can write that off.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: That's what you're supposed to get. Now, if I'm reading
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: this correctly, and this guy wants to write her off
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: totally to get that, and then what does the mother get?
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: See you keep saying that she's getting this child support. Okay,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: that ain't her fault. She's supposed to get the child support.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry. The court, the state, the federal government, everybody
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: requires that you pay for the support of the child.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: But there are other things involved here. See where is me?
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: And sometimes think our child support is supposed to be
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: hit because we're thinking it ain't that much on diapers,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: clothes don't cost that, But here it is. It is
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: the living expense of a child. It is not only
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: the fact that you pay your child support, and that's
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: supposed to cover them, true enough, but where the child lives.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: The mother has to come up with that. Whoever the
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: custodial parent is, has to come up with where the
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: child lives. If they're in a mall, Mama, can I
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: had is? Mama? Can I had a Mama, We're going
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: on a field trip. Mama, I want to eat. I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: want McDonald Mama, can we get this? Mama wants some
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: games for my PlayStation. Mamma want for Christmas. There is
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: a real expense here for the custodial parent that is
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: not covered in the child support. So therefore it is
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: my thinking and what I've learned is that the custodial
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: parent is the one who gains the most benefit along
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: with the child support. Now let me tell you about me.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I have paid child for it hello, and had custody
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: of the child. Tommy has paid child support and had
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: custody of the child. Sometimes the laws are unfair towards
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: the man, heavily jaded towards the woman. Sometimes after the
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: break of eighteen, after the hour, we'll have part two
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: of Steve's response to Today's Strawberry Letter. You're listening to
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Steve har eighteen minutes after I got part too of
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. This mess right here, just part to y'all.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Here's what I found it. You know, because we get
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: upset with guys when it comes to child support and
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: we well, well, that's what he's supposed to do. Yeah,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I got all of that, But here's something in the
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: letter that I did not see. She says that she's
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: uh debating on whether she should let this guy claim
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the daughter or not. Obviously the guy has been doing
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: some other stuff above and beyond because and the letter
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: says he got mad when she said no, you can't
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: claim it and told me don't ever ask him for
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: anything for her. And if he does by something, he
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: gonna take it to his sister's house right there, You
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: see what I mean. So he's been making some contributions
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: above and beyond. So now here's the magical part I found.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: It doesn't say what. It says she doesn't ask for
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: additional help and he doesn't offer it. It says right here,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: he said don't ask me for anything right now. You
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: know I heard her say that. But when a man
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: go okay, then would asking me? Don't ask me for
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: nothing else then? Because he please know something else has
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: been done because she slickly avoided this. But I busted him,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: she says. But I'm torn between which is right keeping
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: the money from me and the kids, or yes, let
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: him carry her because he is the father from what
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: is other kids? What other kids talking about? Because he
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: obviously some other kids has benefiting him, I see, not
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: brother man saying, hey, look, I'm sending all this over here.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: You know somebody ain't handling theirs on their end. Some
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: other kids has benefiting he being a man. And now
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: he said, just let me carry her in because all
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: of this ain't just for her, see and the other
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: key it's when we only talked about the one baby
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: he had. See. So now that's some more mess in
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: the game, right, I just need to You should have
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: put your lavender on your stomach like your mama told
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I didn't get stretch marks. But anyway, I didn't know. Boy,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: that was a lot of information. I just didn't either.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: You didn't get me there. Yeah, well, if you put
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: corn starch and baking soda on your what does that do?
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: And sleep face and eat all right, Today's strawberry letter.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: It's posted on Steve Harvey dot com. You can tweeter,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Instagram me your thoughts at my girl Shirley. Now coming

- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the Bahamas and kick it at the Sand and Sold Festival. Okay,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: so you're listening Steve. At thirty four minutes after that,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: our coming up? Are we going to the phones? It's
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: time to see if we can get another window to

- 1:11:31Speaker 1: I definitely deserve it. Baby. Let me ask you. Yeah,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: you do you got anybody in mind you might bring?
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I do, I do? I'm going to bring somebody very dear. Well,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I don't I don't have a I don't have a boyfriend.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: So it's gonna be somebody special. It's like maybe my son.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: I don't know yet. I don't know yet. You know, Yeah,

- 1:12:06Speaker 1: you look at sometimes it's just good. Just take one
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: of your girlfriends and I'm gonna you know what I'm saying.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: That way, you ain't got to cater to nobody. You
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: ain't gotta fix it. Take somebody that don't judge you.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Take whatever one of your friends was closest to you,

- 1:13:09Speaker 1: top of the hour, Office romance calls. But up next
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: pastor Motown, Deacon death Jam. It's Easter weekend. Everybody did war?
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Oh we are gaveled hill today. We're for message of
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: a peguity something to do it. That's the values, that's
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: the that's the Vincel and repetution. Come on, Deacon, what
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: do we have past? The first thing? Foremost? But you
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: want to say what it is a beautiful thing coming
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: up on resurrecting h Day service, but Easter past the
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: We need you to get an understanding that what do
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: we need to do with the people that's gonna have
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: all these colors on in the sanctuary area. I don't
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: We don't want you being color blind with these pinks
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: and yellows and oranges and all these. We have a
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: new rule of our church. Do well. We have color
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: restrictions during the moaning service. Oh here we go. All
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: light skinned people, yeah, are prohibited from wearing red. All right,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: light skin write that down. Light skinned people's can't wear red.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: The two stars. It's just too much. It is shocking.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: It's your light light light dudn't you red? So we're
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: so so we got to cut that out, okay, after
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: the uh fat people at the church are restricted this
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: year from wearing white all right, people right there, two
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: of y'all got the shout and last year and came
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: down out and several people thought it was a blizzard
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: and was suffering from white out. A lot of people
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: don't have all dark glasses in service, and all that
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: white was blinding. They called it whiteout, white out alright. Also,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: all skinny members must refrain from wearing striped vertical outfits.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: That's confusing. It just it just looked too much. Did
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: all come up for offering? It look like a pack
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: of z B They got loose in the sanctu wherey
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: That is another restriction. I need to ask you one
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: thing or go ahead. We have a new ministry pastor,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: the United Airlines Ministry is asking can they drag people
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: out if they come in late. They want to approval
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: on that first. That won't happen here. A majority of
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: our members are black. To tell that to them and
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: let him come on here and start dragon. There'll only
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: be one dragon. I problem. Okay, so now let's go. Also,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: this restriction goes out to mother's that have very dark skinned,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: beautiful chocolate babies. Ok dogs, m They are restricted from
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: when Neon y'allow god traffic cone orange and day glow green.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Oh Man, traffic light yellow orange, cold street cold orange
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: and day glow green. That can't be the last year
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: them little beautiful babies. I loved the babies they came around.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: They looked like little wet junior Mitch. So I just
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: said to myself sitting up in there, look at them,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: beautiful little wet junior miss with them shocking ass out
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: also fast. We need you to give us some kind
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: of rules on the East Eastern speeches. If you don't, man,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: if your baby came talk, these are the following Eastern speeches.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: They are to gild okay, number one, Jesus well, number two,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: he lives. Number three, hollelujah. I ain't having that one word.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: And then if your baby can talk a little bit better,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: we have famous one line speeches. Won't he doing what
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: he doing? Hey? Hey? Hey? Yes? And uh didn't We
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: have advanced speeches for the little kids. That's a little
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: bit more speech ready. It happened on Calviarny. Those are
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: now that they ain't they ain't them. That's actual speech.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Now say the titles talking. That's all it is. You
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: have more cavalry, yes, your mind say it walk hol okay,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: we all are very familiar with your story. We heard
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: it a hunted thousand. Those are the restriction for this easter. Also,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: bring extra money. Tray gonna come around probably more than
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: three times this year. Three bring your money. You're listening
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey morning shows. Alright, the question of
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: the week for the last two weeks is about half
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: his romance. Call us and tell us about yours eight seven, seven,

- 1:20:21Speaker 1: In my huse, everything you do, break down, you know,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: call everything you do? Everything now, now, just give me
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: one moment and get my excitement out, Steve. I've been
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: waiting to do that for a couple of years now,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: but you know, maybe let me just get that. I
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: ain't manage you. Go ahead, man, that's that's the announcement

- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I was new to this spectral stuff and I had
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: just came home from doing ten years. And uh, the
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: young lady on the job I was attempt and I
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: was working in the mirror room and uh upstairs on
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: the on the higher floors, was assistant to the CEO.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: And she was forty two. And and I tell you,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: she taught me some things. She taught me something I
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: had no idea that this is what you do when
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: you have sex, no idea at all. So she turned
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: me out. And then I became such a and my bragging,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I became such a good lover. But my mentor was
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: toe up. I didn't know how to you know, mentally,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: uh talk to two people and physically feel their pain.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I was just a user of sex, that's all. I
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: became a good user. I was good at it now
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: and people feel good. But uh that hurting, that pain
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: that comes after it of what real love is. I
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: had no idea look at him to have a ship
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: for ten. You was in jail for TEENU. Yes, yes, yes,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: I did five in the state and five in that set.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: Well that's hard to believe. Yeah, Tommy, why is that
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: so hard to believe? Thank you? I have no problems, brother,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I apologize, change my bad brother. Yeah, much love to
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you man, happy resurrection. I've been waiting for you. With
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: somebody having me prank, I was like, I can't wait
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: to get Timmy. I got a trick to him. Yeah,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I'm glad. Ain't nobody had me called you either. We
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: don't want to look. You're a better man now, q Oh,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I'm extremely better man now. I gave my life to Christ.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: You know, I got so many stories. I was an atheist,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: was a Buddhist, I was a Muslim. Right man, I
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: could keep y'all rolling with some stuff and a Buddhist. Know.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I was on the street. I was a loss. I
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: was a lost soul on the street. I come from
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: a family of Mason's, my mother, my father, my grandparents,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: they were they were all Masons and Eastern starts. But
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: I was a confused young man. That's what I was

- 1:23:19Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry? That is okay, I rush your lives. He
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: is a fan. How do you feel that time, Shirley Strongsberry?

- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I'm blessed. I'm blessed as junior little story. This is
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: a life story. So I'm not talking about this happened
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: in jail, even though a situation did. But this is

- 1:24:31Speaker 1: by what where you come from and how you deliver it.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: But yeah, I was. I still like to think that
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: fifty something. I still kind of sexually, you know, motivated
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: because these young people don't know how to do it right,
