- 0:58Speaker 5: You got you.
- 1:06Speaker 6: You you gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 7: I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 6: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 3: You probably got to turn the mouth to turn out
- 1:46Speaker 3: the water.
- 1:47Speaker 2: The money up? Looking me, come me, come out?
- 1:59Speaker 8: You think that? Uh huh, I sure will A good
- 2:04Speaker 8: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Oh come
- 2:08Speaker 8: on now, digny if you will. One and only Steve
- 2:11Speaker 8: Harvey got a radio show, you know, one of the
- 2:15Speaker 8: things about being successful. And I was sharing this just
- 2:20Speaker 8: the other day with a young man and he asked me.
- 2:24Speaker 8: He said, hey, man, I just don't see how you.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Get up that early in the morning.
- 2:31Speaker 8: I just don't see how, man, it would kill me
- 2:33Speaker 8: to get up this early in the morning. Well, I
- 2:36Speaker 8: sat down and I'm listening to it because it's just
- 2:38Speaker 8: a thousand times I've heard it, you know, And my
- 2:41Speaker 8: life is, you know, not too different from a lot.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Of people's lives.
- 2:44Speaker 8: There's a lot of people out there that rise early.
- 2:48Speaker 8: And I just sit there, man, because I mean, first
- 2:51Speaker 8: of all, I'm grateful to be able to have a job,
- 2:54Speaker 8: and I'm so grateful to be able to do one
- 2:56Speaker 8: and several that I happened to enjoy doing. I mean,
- 2:58Speaker 8: you know it's work and it's difficult at times, but
- 3:02Speaker 8: I mean, you know I wanted this.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You know you got it.
- 3:04Speaker 8: You know you can't ask God for nothing any give
- 3:06Speaker 8: it to you then be mad that you got it.
- 3:08Speaker 8: Don't make no sense.
- 3:09Speaker 1: You know.
- 3:10Speaker 8: The problem with asking God for stuff is a lot
- 3:13Speaker 8: of times we ask it for stuff we don't really
- 3:15Speaker 8: know what all it encompasses, what all it really is.
- 3:17Speaker 8: And I ask for this, now along the way, I've
- 3:21Speaker 8: gotten far more than I asked for. I want you
- 3:23Speaker 8: to do. Understand that, and you know that's His grace
- 3:27Speaker 8: at work in my life. But I get up early
- 3:30Speaker 8: and I go to work because I do understand something
- 3:33Speaker 8: that it is not walking up to you. Nobody walks
- 3:36Speaker 8: up to people normally and just hand them checks all
- 3:40Speaker 8: the time, and enough checks to sustain your life, and
- 3:43Speaker 8: not only sustain it, but to have a life that
- 3:46Speaker 8: where you could enjoy and do some of the things
- 3:48Speaker 8: you want to do. I don't know the person that
- 3:50Speaker 8: walks out hands out that money just to be doing
- 3:53Speaker 8: it and then with a lifestyle though, where you can
- 3:56Speaker 8: you know, give your kids a Christmas, you know, take
- 3:59Speaker 8: your family. I'm on vacation, you know, a year, once
- 4:02Speaker 8: a year. I don't know nobody passing out to kind
- 4:04Speaker 8: of money. So I get up early in the morning
- 4:05Speaker 8: and I get at it. I was taught to get
- 4:08Speaker 8: up early in the morning by my father because my
- 4:12Speaker 8: father says, aint, nothing gonna come to you while you
- 4:15Speaker 8: lay in now. And you know what, It's just true, man,
- 4:18Speaker 8: It's just a little common sense. Look, old people smart, man,
- 4:21Speaker 8: they've been around a long time. You don't get old.
- 4:23Speaker 8: You know, some old foods out there, but you know
- 4:25Speaker 8: you don't have to deal with them. But old people
- 4:27Speaker 8: are pretty smart, man. They've learned a lot along the way.
- 4:30Speaker 8: And waking up early and getting out it is one
- 4:32Speaker 8: of them things. And I ask everybody man to think
- 4:34Speaker 8: about this scenario of your life. If a day has
- 4:38Speaker 8: twenty four hours in it, and let's just say you
- 4:41Speaker 8: choose to sleep eight of those hours because they tell
- 4:46Speaker 8: you need eight hours sleep, so you sleep eight hours.
- 4:50Speaker 8: That's a third of your life asleep already, just a
- 4:54Speaker 8: third of your life is spent asleep. If you gonna
- 4:57Speaker 8: do eight hours a day. Now, so let's say you
- 5:00Speaker 8: have a job that you work eight hours and it
- 5:03Speaker 8: is not the job of your dreams. It's not your
- 5:05Speaker 8: dream career, your dream profession. It's just the one you took,
- 5:08Speaker 8: like all of us, to get it started. And then,
- 5:11Speaker 8: like all of us, some of us end up having
- 5:13Speaker 8: to stay there because we've created these bills because we
- 5:16Speaker 8: checked and checked. So we can't leave it because we'll
- 5:18Speaker 8: lose what we've worked for. So let's just say you
- 5:21Speaker 8: got a job that you go to work to for
- 5:23Speaker 8: eight hours. That's another third of your life. That's two
- 5:27Speaker 8: thirds of your life. Feel how you want to feel
- 5:30Speaker 8: about your two thirds? Well, I like sleep? Okay, cool,
- 5:32Speaker 8: there's a scripture about that too. But now you spent
- 5:35Speaker 8: two thirds of your life one on a job you
- 5:37Speaker 8: don't care for if you're not happy that, or one
- 5:39Speaker 8: that just pays the bills, and it's not your dream
- 5:41Speaker 8: job or career. Another third of your life is sleep.
- 5:44Speaker 8: Oh now, let's hold on. Let's talk about the one
- 5:46Speaker 8: hour of preparation that it may take to get to
- 5:50Speaker 8: the job. That's seventeen hours. Let's say your drive time.
- 5:53Speaker 8: Let's say getting to your job for the average person
- 5:57Speaker 8: is anywhere between thirty to an hour. That it's an
- 6:00Speaker 8: average of what it takes to average person. Now some
- 6:02Speaker 8: people out there hustling way harder than that. But let's
- 6:05Speaker 8: just say your average is an hour getting to work.
- 6:08Speaker 8: You add another hour to that going to work. You've
- 6:11Speaker 8: now spent eighteen hours out of the twenty four doing
- 6:16Speaker 8: something that's either non productive, you're not happy with, you're
- 6:21Speaker 8: not pleased about. It is not your dream job, it's
- 6:23Speaker 8: not your dream profession. And rest of the time you sleep.
- 6:26Speaker 8: Eighteen hours. Now you got to come from the job,
- 6:28Speaker 8: so let's just say it's another hour to get back home.
- 6:30Speaker 8: That's nineteen hours. Nineteen hours out of a twenty four
- 6:33Speaker 8: hour day. You now have five hours left in your day. Oh,
- 6:38Speaker 8: you watch TV two hours a day. Okay, excuse me.
- 6:40Speaker 8: Let's put now you put two hours of TV on
- 6:43Speaker 8: that you've just spent twenty one. You now have three
- 6:46Speaker 8: hours in the day to do something super productive for
- 6:51Speaker 8: the development of yourself and the future of your family
- 6:55Speaker 8: and your future as a person and what you can
- 6:58Speaker 8: provide for your family. Uh Oh, I need to chill,
- 7:03Speaker 8: I need to smoke one. Uh Oh, I needed some
- 7:06Speaker 8: time at Happy seem like all I do is dry
- 7:10Speaker 8: to work and go to work. I'm gonna go out
- 7:12Speaker 8: with the fellas drink one. Okay, Let's say you spend
- 7:17Speaker 8: two hours at Happy Ill nobody go to a Happy
- 7:19Speaker 8: Hours just for a hour. Let's say you spend two
- 7:21Speaker 8: hours at Happy I'll all smoke in all some video
- 7:24Speaker 8: games and let'st dow. That isn't it two hours of smoking,
- 7:26Speaker 8: chilling video games. That's twenty three hours of your day gone.
- 7:31Speaker 8: Don't you see how your day slips away from you?
- 7:34Speaker 8: So why would you get up early? You get up
- 7:37Speaker 8: early to get a jump. You get up early to produce,
- 7:42Speaker 8: to plan, to become productive. You get up early in
- 7:45Speaker 8: the morning to care about every single minute of your day.
- 7:49Speaker 8: You wake up early in the morning because you have
- 7:51Speaker 8: a plan, a mission, You have something you want to accomplish.
- 7:55Speaker 8: The earlier you get up, the more time you have
- 7:58Speaker 8: just for you to devote to your plan. You map
- 8:00Speaker 8: it out, you make them, send some emails, whatever it
- 8:04Speaker 8: is you need to do to get your dream under way.
- 8:07Speaker 8: Then you go get ready. Then you get in your
- 8:10Speaker 8: car and go to work. Then you go to your job,
- 8:12Speaker 8: but on your job instead of sitting at your lunch break,
- 8:15Speaker 8: messing around with a bunch of people, laughing and talking
- 8:18Speaker 8: about nothing, playing dominoes. Why don't you take that hour
- 8:20Speaker 8: to do some more research, to send out some more emails,
- 8:24Speaker 8: to put some feelings out there, to see what can
- 8:27Speaker 8: get you in the place that you want to be.
- 8:29Speaker 8: Then when you get off, instead of driving straight home,
- 8:32Speaker 8: why don't you go somewhere in a meeting, you take
- 8:35Speaker 8: in a session with some people in a positive mental state,
- 8:38Speaker 8: group of people that get together. Network for business, not
- 8:41Speaker 8: drink at happy hour. I said, network for business. So
- 8:44Speaker 8: after you've done that eight that you don't really care
- 8:46Speaker 8: for on a job, you spend some more time pursuing,
- 8:50Speaker 8: looking into researching, working towards, sending out some more applications,
- 8:55Speaker 8: putting in some more time to build your new app
- 8:58Speaker 8: discussing some more net working ideas. Okay, that's your happy hour.
- 9:02Speaker 8: Then when you go home, instead of chilling drinking one,
- 9:06Speaker 8: having a cold one, smoking one, playing a video game,
- 9:10Speaker 8: why don't you take that two hours and devote that
- 9:13Speaker 8: to that business idea? You got to that family that
- 9:16Speaker 8: you talk about, you really won't spend some time with
- 9:18Speaker 8: your children, put something into them, do something. Man with
- 9:22Speaker 8: all these precious hours that God gives all of us
- 9:25Speaker 8: in the course of a day. Take advantage of every
- 9:28Speaker 8: minute of that. No human being has more than twenty
- 9:32Speaker 8: four hours a day, including myself. But if you care
- 9:36Speaker 8: about every single minute of that day, you'll be amazed
- 9:40Speaker 8: at how much you could get accomplished in a twenty
- 9:42Speaker 8: four hour day. But you can't get none of that
- 9:45Speaker 8: happening because you sleep, and you chilling and you smoking. Okay,
- 9:52Speaker 8: what has that done for you, your family or your future?
- 9:55Speaker 8: Care about every minute of your day.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey morning s.
- 10:00Speaker 8: Y'all, ladies and gentlemen, let me have your undivided attention.
- 10:08Speaker 8: You know what is just a really really good day today?
- 10:13Speaker 8: It really is. Man, if you could just focus on
- 10:17Speaker 8: the fact that you are here, that you are willing
- 10:22Speaker 8: and able, if you could get if you could get
- 10:24Speaker 8: your mind wrapped around the fact that how fortunate you
- 10:28Speaker 8: are to be amongst the chosen ones to still be here,
- 10:34Speaker 8: realizing that when God wakes you up in the morning,
- 10:36Speaker 8: that's aside from him that he ain't through with you yet. Man,
- 10:40Speaker 8: I'm glad about that. I don't want him to be
- 10:42Speaker 8: through with me. Keep on using me until you use
- 10:49Speaker 8: me up. My friend day, I don't know what it
- 10:59Speaker 8: just come out of nowhere. Welcome to the ride, y'all
- 11:01Speaker 8: see Lord Morti Show, Shelly Strawberry, Colin Frail, Mississippi, Monica Jr.
- 11:05Speaker 8: And the legend that is Nephew Thomas Jr.
- 11:09Speaker 7: You know what, well, you.
- 11:10Speaker 9: Said something about music. Have you thought about this. I'm
- 11:12Speaker 9: gonna make this statement. I'm gonna stand by it too,
- 11:14Speaker 9: but uh, I just thought about this. People, Bryson and
- 11:18Speaker 9: Keith Sweat on the same level. I just thought about
- 11:21Speaker 9: this promise, just thought about it on je People, Brison
- 11:26Speaker 9: and Keith Sweat on the same level.
- 11:28Speaker 8: As fars You what do you mean when you say
- 11:30Speaker 8: same level, Judy, the same level.
- 11:33Speaker 10: They both had songs vocals. I didn't say who was better.
- 11:38Speaker 10: I said they're on the same level.
- 11:39Speaker 8: They both had songs about similarities.
- 11:42Speaker 10: Yes, they both had songs that was on soundtracks.
- 11:47Speaker 9: Got about the same amount of movies, I mean albums,
- 11:49Speaker 9: same amount album there on the same level.
- 11:51Speaker 10: Because you gotta think about it.
- 11:52Speaker 9: People, Bryson A Whole New World and Keith Sweat telling
- 11:56Speaker 9: me no in New Jack City and Aladdin, same level,
- 12:01Speaker 9: same level, I'm telling you.
- 12:04Speaker 8: This ain't a question you want to wake up this
- 12:06Speaker 8: morning and Everson, I'm.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Just telling you. Would you agree?
- 12:09Speaker 10: Is what I'm saying.
- 12:10Speaker 1: When you agree, I see, Well, I'm gonna be honest
- 12:14Speaker 1: with you.
- 12:14Speaker 8: You kind of threw me off when you said same level,
- 12:17Speaker 8: because I was trying to figure out what you meant
- 12:18Speaker 8: by that. But you're just saying their similarities.
- 12:22Speaker 9: Well, yeah, I think they they got similar insane but
- 12:24Speaker 9: you know, Keith sweat better than people, but they on
- 12:27Speaker 9: the same Leough.
- 12:29Speaker 8: I just think that. That's what I'm saying.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Would you agree?
- 12:31Speaker 8: Sat see see see right there. That's why I thought
- 12:33Speaker 8: you was going with this. But now what you're saying
- 12:36Speaker 8: is offensive. Didn't know what you was talking about when
- 12:40Speaker 8: you started this conversation. Now you don't.
- 12:43Speaker 11: A whole new world there you go telling me no again, saying, God,
- 12:54Speaker 11: you don't see this.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Uh that was a fire jam, don't hear that.
- 12:58Speaker 8: I think Keith Sweat it is one of the coolest
- 13:01Speaker 8: dudes out there, and his longevity is sustaining, his preormans
- 13:07Speaker 8: is out there. He's a cold dude and that is
- 13:11Speaker 8: my cat keyth Sweat. But do you not think for
- 13:14Speaker 8: one minute that he can out saying people, bryceon, You're
- 13:18Speaker 8: going to shut your mouth and going going back and
- 13:21Speaker 8: think something to talking about tomorrow, because that ain't what
- 13:24Speaker 8: you're fitn say on this show and get away with it.
- 13:28Speaker 8: Tell you Joe seeing their winning five.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Right here, you're.

- 14:32Speaker 15: it's time, It's time to bring it back.
- 14:34Speaker 16: Let's go cat dom Oh Hello, hello, Hi, I'm I'm
- 14:40Speaker 16: trying to reach it.
- 14:40Speaker 17: Mister Cotton, mismss Cotton.
- 14:43Speaker 15: Okay, can you turn your radio or TV down? I
- 14:46Speaker 15: can't really hear you.
- 14:47Speaker 17: Oh yes, sir, my.
- 14:49Speaker 15: Name is mister Lanson. I'm actually the new principal here
- 14:51Speaker 15: at middle school.
- 14:53Speaker 16: And well, what's the name again, mister Lanson.
- 14:56Speaker 17: Mister Lanson? Okay, your your.
- 14:58Speaker 16: Son he attends school here? Am I correct?
- 15:01Speaker 17: Yes, sir?
- 15:01Speaker 16: Okay, good listen. I'm the new principal here.
- 15:05Speaker 15: We've just replaced the last principle and I'm actually calling around.
- 15:09Speaker 15: What I've done is when I before I got here,
- 15:11Speaker 15: I asked for a list of students that were you know,
- 15:15Speaker 15: I'm not going to say problem kids, but you know
- 15:17Speaker 15: that kind of get themselves in a little trouble here
- 15:19Speaker 15: and there.
- 15:20Speaker 16: And your son's name happens to be on the list.
- 15:23Speaker 17: Name is on that list.
- 15:24Speaker 15: Yes, I got about I got about thirty five kids
- 15:27Speaker 15: that are actually on this list, and your son is
- 15:31Speaker 15: actually on the list.
- 15:32Speaker 16: And you are, mister Cotton.
- 15:34Speaker 17: Correct, I am, mister Cotten. I mean, are you sure
- 15:37Speaker 17: you speaking about my son?
- 15:39Speaker 8: Though?
- 15:39Speaker 15: Yeah, I mean there's only there's only one on the list, sir.
- 15:43Speaker 15: I'm I'm it's it's it's what's been given to me.
- 15:46Speaker 15: And what what I'm doing is calling around to all
- 15:48Speaker 15: of the parents of the kids that are on this
- 15:50Speaker 15: list and letting you guys know that I'm going to
- 15:53Speaker 15: be keeping a closed eye on them as well as
- 15:56Speaker 15: letting you know that I'm going to be reinstating corporal
- 15:59Speaker 15: punishment here in the school.
- 16:00Speaker 17: So so what's that.
- 16:03Speaker 15: That's actually where if your son gets sent to the office,
- 16:06Speaker 15: which is my office, then there will be paddling going on.
- 16:09Speaker 15: And opposed to I don't believe in I don't believe
- 16:12Speaker 15: in I don't believe in suspension. I believe in, you know,
- 16:16Speaker 15: if we spank these kids, we can get them back
- 16:18Speaker 15: in order.
- 16:18Speaker 16: So, sir, here's my thing.
- 16:22Speaker 15: I really truly believe that we get back to to
- 16:25Speaker 15: you know, and I don't mean what I'm about to
- 16:27Speaker 15: say to be harsh, but if we get back to beaten,
- 16:29Speaker 15: we'll get these kids back in order.
- 16:31Speaker 17: I mean, but I know he had troubled in English,
- 16:34Speaker 17: but I don't think that's calls for beaten.
- 16:37Speaker 15: No, no, no, this has nothing to do with great sir.
- 16:40Speaker 15: This has to do with punishment. And what I'm understanding
- 16:42Speaker 15: is if your son is on my list, and if
- 16:44Speaker 15: your son comes down to my office, I'm going to
- 16:47Speaker 15: take care of it right then and there.
- 16:49Speaker 17: If my son come to your office, you're gonna be
- 16:51Speaker 17: on my list.
- 16:53Speaker 8: Sir.
- 16:53Speaker 15: I'm trying to get these kids back in order, and
- 16:55Speaker 15: that's the reason why I've been brought in and I've
- 16:57Speaker 15: replaced the last principle you understand. So what I need
- 17:00Speaker 15: from you is to get to get a great understanding
- 17:03Speaker 15: that if your child comes to my office, corporal punishment
- 17:06Speaker 15: will be what he's going to deal with.
- 17:08Speaker 17: Okay, I'll tell you what. Let my son come home
- 17:10Speaker 17: and tell me he got some corporal punishment, and the
- 17:13Speaker 17: next morning me and You're gonna do some corporal punishment.
- 17:15Speaker 15: Sir. Do you want your child in order or do
- 17:18Speaker 15: you want to be bailing his butt out of jail
- 17:19Speaker 15: at the age of eighteen.
- 17:20Speaker 17: They gonna be bailing me out of jail if you
- 17:22Speaker 17: put your hands on my son.
- 17:24Speaker 16: Okay, are you taking care of your son? Punishment wise?
- 17:27Speaker 8: At home?
- 17:28Speaker 17: You need to my son don't give you no trouble. Okay.
- 17:32Speaker 15: Here's the problem, parents not believing that their children get
- 17:38Speaker 15: in any trouble.
- 17:38Speaker 16: That's the first part.
- 17:40Speaker 17: I got email. I got a phone call. So the

- 19:42Speaker 16: the child right now.
- 19:43Speaker 17: You're talking to a grown man. And if you put

- 22:09Speaker 1: top of the hour.
- 22:10Speaker 12: In entertainment news, the last standing plantation in the South
- 22:15Speaker 12: is reduced to ashes after burning three hours.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Okay, had about enough of that.
- 22:22Speaker 12: The attorney for the four women that accused Smokey Robinson
- 22:25Speaker 12: of sexual assault have issued a statement, and a lot
- 22:28Speaker 12: of Chris Brown fans are upset because he's in jail
- 22:32Speaker 12: in London. And that's all coming up at the top
- 22:35Speaker 12: of the hour. But right now it's time to ask
- 22:38Speaker 12: the clo. This is from Avery and Longview. Avery writes,
- 22:44Speaker 12: I'm having second thoughts about taking my girlfriend to my
- 22:46Speaker 12: family reunion.
- 22:48Speaker 1: She was raised to speak.
- 22:49Speaker 12: Her mind and that her opinion matters. My parents, aunts
- 22:53Speaker 12: and uncles don't play that. How do I uninvite her
- 22:57Speaker 12: and tell her it's for her own good?
- 23:00Speaker 8: No, no, no, See, sometimes you got to take people.
- 23:03Speaker 8: Sometimes you just got to take people. Sometimes it's better
- 23:07Speaker 8: to show them than to tell them that you how
- 23:10Speaker 8: you was raised to speak your own mind and your
- 23:12Speaker 8: and your opinion matters and all that beautiful. But listen,
- 23:17Speaker 8: and the words of my father in law. Just because
- 23:20Speaker 8: you can do something don't mean you should do something.
- 23:24Speaker 8: And you got to learn that lesson. And I think
- 23:26Speaker 8: now it's a good time for her to learn that.
- 23:29Speaker 8: Take her to your family reunion, because all black people
- 23:34Speaker 8: got a way of making you feel real.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Stink right quickly with his family, just arguing please take
- 23:46Speaker 1: her and us back.
- 23:50Speaker 12: Yeah, all right? Coming up next, it is Nia in
- 23:54Speaker 12: Southfield and Nea Rights. My husband has developed a stench. Lately,
- 24:00Speaker 12: he showers before bedtime and by early morning when we're
- 24:04Speaker 12: having sex, the sweaty smell is back is strong, and
- 24:08Speaker 12: he acts like he can't smell it should I would
- 24:10Speaker 12: hold sex until he stops stinking up the place.
- 24:13Speaker 8: Wow, well you gotta find out what the cause is.
- 24:17Speaker 8: You and your wife's a wives know he has developed
- 24:21Speaker 8: a stitch. Now that's different from stink al it's the
- 24:28Speaker 8: three smell. It's the three esses. You have a smell,
- 24:33Speaker 8: you have a stink, and you have a stitch he
- 24:38Speaker 8: is he is. Stitch is like a third degree burn.
- 24:44Speaker 8: You know you can put your hand on said water hot,
- 24:47Speaker 8: then you put over there.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Oh you burn me?
- 24:49Speaker 8: Oh now, third degree burn ain't no third degree burn.
- 24:55Speaker 8: You gotta go somewhere emergency care thirty to be burned.
- 25:01Speaker 8: You gotta go, you gotta go somewhere. You got to
- 25:04Speaker 8: go find out what has caused a stitch.
- 25:09Speaker 1: But he's showering. That's not it.
- 25:11Speaker 8: Huh, well he's but we lay down. It's something he eating. Now,
- 25:18Speaker 8: it's something he eating.
- 25:20Speaker 19: What what could cause a stench?
- 25:23Speaker 8: Well, I in my life, I know several foods that
- 25:26Speaker 8: can cause a stitch. Okay, what Chittling's is the number
- 25:29Speaker 8: one predator stitch call what you can do that because
- 25:38Speaker 8: they got them already clean and you can freeze them
- 25:41Speaker 8: or so it's people out there still doing that. Here's
- 25:43Speaker 8: another food that can cause a stitch, and people are
- 25:46Speaker 8: very unawareinness spam. Spam can cause a stitch. If you
- 25:51Speaker 8: eat enough of it late at night, wrong time, you
- 25:53Speaker 8: can wake up in the morning and smell like you
- 25:56Speaker 8: ain't something that died.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Those are the two that come to mind right away.
- 26:01Speaker 8: All right, Well, that it causes a stitch if you
- 26:06Speaker 8: are Muslim. If you're Muslim and you wasn't and accidentally
- 26:10Speaker 8: ate some pork, they not gonna do well on that.
- 26:13Speaker 8: I'm just gonna tell you that right now. They're not
- 26:16Speaker 8: gonna do well on that. I avoid that at all costs,
- 26:21Speaker 8: you know, and because I have so many Muslim friends now,
- 26:23Speaker 8: it's actually made me rethink the whole thing with pork.
- 26:28Speaker 8: So I've eraised that from my diet, except for barbecue,
- 26:32Speaker 8: because barbecue, once you put reebs on an open flame
- 26:36Speaker 8: over charcoal, it removes all pork properties.
- 26:40Speaker 12: Okay, I'm moving on to Cheyenne in Santa Monica. Cheyenne writes,
- 26:46Speaker 12: I was sitting in the parking lot at the mall
- 26:49Speaker 12: and I watched a couple get in the backseat of
- 26:51Speaker 12: a car and have sex. I FaceTime my husband while
- 26:54Speaker 12: I watched them have sex. He said that we should
- 26:57Speaker 12: try it. We're both fifty three? Are we too old
- 27:01Speaker 12: to do it?
- 27:02Speaker 8: No, get on back there. But now let me tell
- 27:05Speaker 8: you something. You probably didn't feel. You didn't probably didn't
- 27:07Speaker 8: feel getting back out that back seat. Now you should
- 27:10Speaker 8: have completed the process, and then you need to need
- 27:14Speaker 8: to take into consideration how old are now.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Y'all can go back there, You can get in the
- 27:18Speaker 1: back See, you could do it.
- 27:19Speaker 8: But I'm telling you right now, somebody, I'm just gonna
- 27:22Speaker 8: tell you, somebody gonna get hurt.
- 27:25Speaker 20: You.
- 27:27Speaker 1: It's gonna be an injury.
- 27:33Speaker 12: Some sort of injury. All right, so you are you're
- 27:39Speaker 12: saying they are too old to do it, then no,
- 27:42Speaker 12: you ain't too old to do it.
- 27:44Speaker 8: You just gotta understand it's gonna come with a cost. Listen, y'all. Look,
- 27:49Speaker 8: you can do anything at any age, but there's a
- 27:53Speaker 8: cost factor that has to be factored in. You cannot
- 27:57Speaker 8: assume that you could just do anything and you want
- 28:00Speaker 8: to do because you used to do it.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:03Speaker 8: Me and my wife was in the backyard last year
- 28:05Speaker 8: shooting baskets. It had rained, so the net shrunk a
- 28:10Speaker 8: little bit. So she shot the ball and it went
- 28:14Speaker 8: through the net, but it didn't come down. She said, Steve,
- 28:17Speaker 8: get the ball the first attempt, because I hadn't done
- 28:20Speaker 8: that in a long time. I didn't even get to
- 28:22Speaker 8: the net. And then she said, oh you can't get
- 28:25Speaker 8: it down. We'll get one of the work somebody, uh
- 28:28Speaker 8: any down. My egos involved, Oh, of course, So I
- 28:31Speaker 8: go back, gathered myself, went over there and jumped and
- 28:34Speaker 8: hit the ball, knocked it out the net. She said, wow,
- 28:36Speaker 8: you can still get up there now. When I came down,
- 28:41Speaker 8: you all seen that old black man on it. Old
- 28:44Speaker 8: man I turned him down.
- 28:46Speaker 1: That was me.
- 28:48Speaker 8: When I came down, that was me, and I went
- 28:53Speaker 8: in the house after one basket and I paid.
- 28:56Speaker 1: They've been back out there since.
- 28:59Speaker 16: You don't even go out there.
- 29:00Speaker 8: I went, don't get my golf clubs, Gonna do what
- 29:02Speaker 8: I could do.
- 29:03Speaker 12: A great story, Steve, Yeah, all right. Moving on toes
- 29:12Speaker 12: in the Bronx is the last one. Steve Jess writes,
- 29:16Speaker 12: My boyfriend had a bag of gummies by his bed.
- 29:19Speaker 12: I ate two and didn't know they were edibles. My
- 29:23Speaker 12: boyfriend was not concerned that I mistakenly took drugs. He
- 29:27Speaker 12: was only mad that I ate them without asking him.
- 29:30Speaker 12: Is this a sign that he's not for me? Is
- 29:34Speaker 12: this a sign?
- 29:35Speaker 8: But see, had you asked him first, he would have
- 29:38Speaker 8: had the ability to tell you, Hey, the main just gummies.
- 29:42Speaker 12: Now.
- 29:43Speaker 8: So now he's right for being mad at you because
- 29:47Speaker 8: this could have gone sideways. I think you taking it
- 29:50Speaker 8: wrong in that he mad in me for not asking.
- 29:53Speaker 8: But I think you got to look how men think.
- 29:56Speaker 8: Damn baby, why an't you ask me first? It could
- 29:58Speaker 8: have saved you the problem had you asked him so
- 30:01Speaker 8: quick thinking that is he not right for me? Because
- 30:04Speaker 8: he left a gummy. Why are you eating stuff you
- 30:06Speaker 8: don't know where it come from?
- 30:08Speaker 19: Right?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Does? Don't you know snack food at night? Gummies?
- 30:12Speaker 7: Really?
- 30:12Speaker 1: To her?
- 30:14Speaker 8: You have let me ask you, ques you ever had
- 30:16Speaker 8: a gummy at night before you went to be?
- 30:18Speaker 1: No? Hello? And I want the sugar in my teeth?
- 30:21Speaker 1: All right?
- 30:22Speaker 12: Coming up at the top of the hour, Thank you, clo.
- 30:24Speaker 12: We'll have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 30:28Speaker 12: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. The raging fire that
- 30:36Speaker 12: totally destroyed the former fifty three thousand square foot not
- 30:40Speaker 12: Away Plantation in Whitecastle, Louisiana burned for nearly forty hours
- 30:45Speaker 12: last week as onlookers took videos and celebrated as it
- 30:50Speaker 12: burned to the ground. The massive Antebellum mistate was the
- 30:54Speaker 12: site of atrocious crins against enslaved black people from many
- 30:58Speaker 12: generations to work the land and were tortured, raped, and
- 31:02Speaker 12: mutilated there, and an effort to erase the history of
- 31:06Speaker 12: the Nottaway plantation. In recent years, it was rebranded as
- 31:10Speaker 12: a museum, then a wedding venue and a tourist attraction.
- 31:14Speaker 12: Louisiana Fire marshals are still investigating the source of the fire.
- 31:18Speaker 12: But it is safe to say that many many.
- 31:21Speaker 1: People do not care. They're just glad it's finally gone
- 31:25Speaker 1: so much.
- 31:27Speaker 8: You know, man, what I used to drive when in
- 31:30Speaker 8: the South, when I was performing. I remember driving one
- 31:34Speaker 8: time and I saw billboard I don't remember where said
- 31:38Speaker 8: come visit the Whitley Plantation. And I'm soaking. I was
- 31:45Speaker 8: so mad, man, because I'm going you know, the audacity
- 31:49Speaker 8: of these people to turn these places that caused so
- 31:53Speaker 8: much pain and deprivation and turn it into it. It's
- 31:57Speaker 8: a money more world. We used to make money on
- 31:59Speaker 8: it when they were slaves. Let's make money on it now.
- 32:02Speaker 8: Come visit the Whitney Plantation. We visit your plantation, man, right?
- 32:07Speaker 14: And did you give money to the descendants of the
- 32:09Speaker 14: slaves that worked at the plantation?
- 32:11Speaker 1: Oh? Please? What you know? They did not know.
- 32:15Speaker 8: Do African Americans deserve represent reparations one thousand percent?
- 32:21Speaker 12: Yes?
- 32:22Speaker 8: Will we ever get a dollar? One thousand percent? We
- 32:25Speaker 8: will get not a coin, not a that's a fight
- 32:29Speaker 8: three period.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:31Speaker 8: Well they don't even want to do that, they they ye, man,
- 32:35Speaker 8: let Longe pay you.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Well, I don't see.
- 32:37Speaker 8: Hard We're gonna find out. That's the old what was
- 32:42Speaker 8: that that old senator. I don't see how we're going
- 32:47Speaker 8: to have tractor track. I rack just get it to us.
- 32:54Speaker 8: We're trying, but you know.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Not everything else. But you can't see that that part.
- 33:01Speaker 8: I would support it, but I just I think it's
- 33:04Speaker 8: a dead I think it's a dead fight.
- 33:07Speaker 1: I really do.
- 33:08Speaker 8: I can't imagine this country doing that, writing a check
- 33:12Speaker 8: for their wrongs when they don't.
- 33:14Speaker 1: They won't.
- 33:14Speaker 8: First of all, you gotta admit to the room.
- 33:16Speaker 12: I was going to say them that would make them guilty.
- 33:18Speaker 12: They would have to admit. That would mean they really
- 33:20Speaker 12: did this.
- 33:22Speaker 1: All right?
- 33:23Speaker 12: Moving on, Well, in case you forgot about the sexual
- 33:27Speaker 12: assault lawsuit against Smokey Robinson, here's what we know so far.
- 33:31Speaker 12: The four women that have accused Smoking of years of
- 33:33Speaker 12: abuse while working at his residence are seeking fifty million
- 33:36Speaker 12: dollars in damages now. According to the lady's attorney, all
- 33:40Speaker 12: four women are Hispanic, all were undocumented at the time,
- 33:44Speaker 12: and all were allegedly paid under minimum wage while they
- 33:47Speaker 12: were being sexually assaulted, and they were threatened with deportation.
- 33:52Speaker 12: These factors reportedly kept the ladies from coming forward sooner.
- 33:56Speaker 12: Smokey Robinson's attorney meanwhile, call the lawsuit a spread attempt
- 34:00Speaker 12: to prejudice public opinion and manufactured attempt on Smokey's reputation.
- 34:06Speaker 12: He expressed confidence that a full review of the facts
- 34:09Speaker 12: will clear the Smokey Robinson's name. So there you go,
- 34:12Speaker 12: clear Smokey Robinson's name.
- 34:15Speaker 16: That's what.
- 34:17Speaker 8: You know in stories like this. Because you're a public figure,
- 34:21Speaker 8: you cannot say what you think. But I have a question. Okay,
- 34:31Speaker 8: if you ask me, knowing Smoking Robinson the way I
- 34:36Speaker 8: do and as long as I've known him, does this
- 34:40Speaker 8: sound believable to you? And I will say no, it
- 34:45Speaker 8: doesn't sound believable to me as the person that I've
- 34:48Speaker 8: sat down and talked with many times and just the
- 34:51Speaker 8: spirit of him as a person. But let's hypothetically say
- 34:56Speaker 8: he gets cleared, and let me see that comes out
- 34:58Speaker 8: proof that there is a like a extortion or blackmail
- 35:01Speaker 8: or whatever you won't call it. What happens then? Do
- 35:05Speaker 8: the people who bought the charges they did they go home?
- 35:09Speaker 8: Did they just oh, well, I tried, That's that's what happened,
- 35:13Speaker 8: you know.
- 35:14Speaker 1: The answers to that, yeah, yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 8: So I've learned how now to form what I'm thinking
- 35:20Speaker 8: in the form of hypothetical questions. That way, Steve ain't
- 35:24Speaker 8: on the hook.
- 35:25Speaker 1: All right, all right, we're gonna move on now.
- 35:29Speaker 12: Finally, Chris Brown's fans are in an uproar because his
- 35:33Speaker 12: tour is stalled. Right now, Chris is behind bars in London.
- 35:37Speaker 12: Chris has arrested him from an altercation back in twenty
- 35:41Speaker 12: twenty three with a promoter in London. Chris was accused
- 35:44Speaker 12: of assaulting the promoter and there was an arrest of
- 35:47Speaker 12: warrant for his arrest. When Chris stepped stepped foot back
- 35:51Speaker 12: in the UK for his tour, he was arrested. A
- 35:54Speaker 12: London judge ordered that Chris remain in custody until June thirteenth,
- 36:00Speaker 12: when his next court.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Hearing is scheduled. Yeah, his tour.
- 36:04Speaker 12: Chris's tour is scheduled to kick off June eighth in
- 36:07Speaker 12: the Netherlands, So it looks like he will not make
- 36:09Speaker 12: that opening Yeah, June thirteenth.
- 36:12Speaker 19: Yeah, June thirteenth.
- 36:14Speaker 16: That's to Marlboro pretty much.
- 36:16Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 36:18Speaker 8: Yeah, But hey man, first of all, it's hard to
- 36:20Speaker 8: be in jail over out of town.
- 36:23Speaker 1: That's really hard. But let me say this to money.
- 36:27Speaker 8: Yeah, Chris has Chris gonna have to make some changes
- 36:31Speaker 8: in his team cause his lawyers and his people don't
- 36:36Speaker 8: know that there's a warrant out for your rest in
- 36:39Speaker 8: another country. And then let this young cat get on
- 36:42Speaker 8: this plane and step off the place, because he would
- 36:44Speaker 8: have never went right. Yeah, So that's just somebody man
- 36:48Speaker 8: just signing, signing for money, and one of his lawyers
- 36:52Speaker 8: men should have known this. It's no way that they
- 36:55Speaker 8: didn't get a notice about this somewhere.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, we got jail in New Orleans.
- 37:01Speaker 8: He could have broke up with their other dasses.
- 37:03Speaker 12: Uh, coming up twenty minutes after the hour, something called.
- 37:15Speaker 13: I'm back right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning.
- 37:20Speaker 8: Show, folks, there are a lot of reasons to like Hyundai.
- 37:29Speaker 8: Hyundai's done a lot to support American consulers. I mean,
- 37:33Speaker 8: they announced their investment of twenty one billion dollars in
- 37:36Speaker 8: the United States over the next three years that will
- 37:39Speaker 8: expand manufacturing and create more jobs for Americans.

- 38:04Speaker 12: Yes, called broken heart syndrome, the American Heart broke syndrome.
- 38:10Speaker 12: I've heard of the song brokey all right. The American
- 38:14Speaker 12: Heart Association confirmed that it is a real thing and
- 38:17Speaker 12: that men men are more than twice as likely to
- 38:21Speaker 12: die from broken heart syndrome than women. It's a condition
- 38:26Speaker 12: that mimics a heart attack and is triggered by deep
- 38:28Speaker 12: emotional and or physical stress. According to the experts, broken
- 38:33Speaker 12: heart syndrome is more common in women, but when men
- 38:36Speaker 12: do experience it, their chances of survival drop significantly.
- 38:41Speaker 1: The American Heart.
- 38:42Speaker 12: Association's research analyzed hospital data from two one hundred thousand
- 38:47Speaker 12: adults in the US between twenty sixteen and twenty twenty
- 38:51Speaker 12: and found a significantly higher rate of deaths among men.
- 38:55Speaker 12: As research continues, one thing is clear. Heartbreak is serious
- 38:59Speaker 12: and for men, men, it can be deadly. Who knew this,
- 39:03Speaker 12: I've never heard of this before.
- 39:06Speaker 1: My father died from that.
- 39:08Speaker 19: From broken heart syndrome.
- 39:10Speaker 8: Yeah, because there was nothing wrong with my father, and
- 39:13Speaker 8: the doctor was saying he constantly just talks about missing
- 39:17Speaker 8: your mother, my father said. One time, he said, well,
- 39:22Speaker 8: I guess I'll just go on and see your mama.
- 39:25Speaker 8: It ain't nothing down here without her. He said that
- 39:28Speaker 8: all the time I watched my father die from broken
- 39:31Speaker 8: hard Man, that's real.
- 39:33Speaker 1: That is really real.
- 39:34Speaker 8: Sixty four years and he just said. And I used
- 39:38Speaker 8: to take my little boy winting over there all the time,
- 39:40Speaker 8: just to cheer him up.
- 39:41Speaker 1: He didn't.
- 39:42Speaker 8: He'll say, well, I guess I'll hang around in Here'll
- 39:45Speaker 8: see what little bullet gonna be.
- 39:47Speaker 19: He's called bullet bullet.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I see what little bullet gonna be.
- 39:52Speaker 8: And then every now and then I said, Pap, how
- 39:55Speaker 8: you doing, Oh boy, I will go on and see
- 39:58Speaker 8: your mama.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Man, they say nothing down here. Wow.
- 40:03Speaker 8: I saw it firsthand.
- 40:07Speaker 12: Broken heart syndrome. It's the real thing, according to the
- 40:11Speaker 12: American Heart Association.
- 40:14Speaker 7: Wow.
- 40:15Speaker 12: I remember my aunt saying that when my uncle passed away,
- 40:18Speaker 12: she said, he died of a broken heart.
- 40:20Speaker 1: But you know what we had.
- 40:22Speaker 12: I have heard that women are stronger mentally, and women
- 40:26Speaker 12: and men are stronger physically. So things that you know
- 40:31Speaker 12: hurt men don't hurt us us as much.
- 40:34Speaker 16: I have heard.
- 40:35Speaker 9: There are any stats on the n SS syndrome. Any

- 41:37Speaker 15: Just I'm trying to open up another business. I'm trying
- 41:39Speaker 15: to figure out what kind of business can I open
- 41:42Speaker 15: you know that'll be successful, have some longevity to it,
- 41:45Speaker 15: you know, I really I want to open up something

- 56:43Speaker 16: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry letter.
- 56:46Speaker 12: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject. He's here physically but
- 56:51Speaker 12: not mentally. Just Steven Shirley. My husband and I were
- 56:54Speaker 12: legally separated for about five months. Things were bad between
- 56:58Speaker 12: us last year and he decided it was best to
- 57:00Speaker 12: move out for a while. I agreed with him, and
- 57:03Speaker 12: he went to stay with his dad. Our son is
- 57:06Speaker 12: seventeen and he's been living with my husband's dad for
- 57:09Speaker 12: his senior year to be closer to school and to
- 57:12Speaker 12: drive its granddad's old Camaro to school. It was an
- 57:15Speaker 12: ideal situation for the three of them. I thought for
- 57:19Speaker 12: sure my husband was going to serve me with divorce papers. Instead,
- 57:23Speaker 12: he called me after Christmas and asked if i'd go
- 57:26Speaker 12: to counseling with him. I agreed, and we went to
- 57:29Speaker 12: see a therapist for two months. He got frustrated and
- 57:32Speaker 12: said the male therapist was taking my side, so we
- 57:35Speaker 12: stopped going. During therapy, I found out that my husband
- 57:39Speaker 12: cheated on me, and it was because he wasn't attracted
- 57:42Speaker 12: to me anymore. I was unfazed by it all. I
- 57:46Speaker 12: just wanted to get a divorce and get it over
- 57:48Speaker 12: with quickly. Then he hit me with a double whammy
- 57:51Speaker 12: and said he was ready to come home. I couldn't
- 57:54Speaker 12: say no because it's his house too. So he has
- 57:57Speaker 12: been back since the first of His body is here,
- 58:02Speaker 12: but not his mind. When I talk to him, and
- 58:05Speaker 12: he smiles and nods his head. When I talk to him,
- 58:08Speaker 12: he smiles and nods his head, I know he's not
- 58:10Speaker 12: paying attention to me. I had decided that if he
- 58:14Speaker 12: ever came back home, I was going to give him
- 58:17Speaker 12: a night he wouldn't forget. But he hasn't touched me
- 58:20Speaker 12: since he got home Saturday night. I tried to shower
- 58:23Speaker 12: with him, but he locked the bathroom door. Why would
- 58:27Speaker 12: he come back home without changing his behavior? I cannot
- 58:30Speaker 12: live like this. Should I be the one that calls
- 58:33Speaker 12: it quits this time? Please help, Please help. This is
- 58:37Speaker 12: really terrible, and clearly he's not ready. I mean, listen,
- 58:42Speaker 12: smiling and nodding his head when you're talking to him.
- 58:45Speaker 12: That's not communication, that's not intimacy. It's hard to tell
- 58:49Speaker 12: where his head is, but you do see his actions,
- 58:54Speaker 12: and they are very clear.
- 58:55Speaker 1: He's showing you how he feels.
- 58:57Speaker 12: He got frustrated, you said when and stop going to therapy,
- 59:01Speaker 12: to the male therapist. That's where he confessed to cheating
- 59:05Speaker 12: on you. He said he no longer found you attractive,
- 59:08Speaker 12: and he locked the bathroom.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Door on you, on you.
- 59:12Speaker 12: What other conclusion are you supposed to draw from all
- 59:15Speaker 12: of this but that he is over it and not
- 59:17Speaker 12: into you anymore, or he's not into the marriage anymore.
- 59:21Speaker 12: Same thing right there. He can't come back home and
- 59:24Speaker 12: not talk to you or not be affectionate all that.
- 59:26Speaker 12: I think he just maybe wanted to get back in
- 59:28Speaker 12: the house and see if you changed and he's not
- 59:32Speaker 12: necessarily into the marriage.
- 59:34Speaker 1: He wanted to get back in the house, but not
- 59:36Speaker 1: the marriage.
- 59:37Speaker 8: Steve, Yeah, this is an easy letter for me. Let's
- 59:42Speaker 8: just go in and get to this. This over, that's
- 59:44Speaker 8: just good.
- 59:45Speaker 1: This over.
- 59:46Speaker 8: Let's say nothing. You're with the therapy, you the mood out,
- 59:50Speaker 8: you to move back in. We wouldn't done at all.
- 59:53Speaker 8: We've separated, we've gotten back together, and with the therapy,
- 59:59Speaker 8: he's moved away and he's moved back in, and none
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: of them situations was good. Now y'all been legally separated
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: for five months. Things were bad between us and y'all all.
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: Both of y'all decided it was best. So he went
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: to live with his daddy. Y'all son, who was a
- 1:00:17Speaker 8: senior in high school, also went to live with him
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: because it gets him close to the school.
- 1:00:21Speaker 16: It was ideal for the three of them.
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: So you think you and he got to drive his
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: granddaddy's old Camaro to school. So the boy got a caught.
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: Only one got a good out. This deal with the boy.
- 1:00:36Speaker 8: Granddaddy did good because he got him some company. You
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: and your husband thought it was gonna be good because
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: he got away from you, and you thought it was
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: good because you wanted them to get away from you too,
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: and you thought for shure he served you with divorce papers. Instead,
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: he called you after Christmas and asked you to go
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: to counsel Where you went to counselor? How that work out?
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: When you go to counseling and counseling don't work?
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: Do you want me to ten what the councilor tell
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: y'all your husband said he didn't like the mail counselor
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: because he was signed with you.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Well, the husband was saying some crazy stuff in this.
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: Session because in this session you found out he cheated
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: on you. In this session you found out he was
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: no longer attracted to you. And then when he came
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: home he locking doors. Now, let me defend him. Hire,
- 1:01:29Speaker 8: I got to lock that bathroom door. What I locked
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: bathroom doors at my house when I go with him today?
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: I locked the door because my wife would just start
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: talking and I don't want to talk with him.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: In him.
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: I got telephone, got games on it, got a TV
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: in now, got everything. I ain't come in here talking.
- 1:01:55Speaker 8: So I must defend him on the not talking in
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: the bathroom. But the rest of his letter, it's just
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: Nothing's working. The separation didn't work, the therapy didn't work,
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: and the coming back home didn't work. What we're talking about.
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: So what I think the best way for me to
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: do is I'm gonna have the ladies. We're gonna do
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: a slight reenacting. Now here's let me get to this
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: part from me. He comes back home and since May,
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: his body is here, but not his mind. This is
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: what I want you all to focus on. His body's here,
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: but not his mind. When I talk to him, he
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: smiles and nads his head. I know he ain't paying
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: attention to me, and I decided when he came back home,
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: I was gonna Givehi a night for him to remember,
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: but he ain't touched me. Since he's back home and
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: his behavior. I cannot live like this. Should I be
- 1:02:47Speaker 8: the one that calls it quits this time? Please help?
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: When we come back, Shirley and call him junior. Anybody
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: can ask me the question as the lady, and I
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: will show you the response of a nun on concerned.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:03:03Speaker 16: Steve.
- 1:03:04Speaker 12: Coming up, we'll have part two of your response subject
- 1:03:07Speaker 12: he's here physically but not mentally. We'll get back into
- 1:03:11Speaker 12: it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:51Speaker 12: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:54Speaker 12: And then you said you wanted to reenactment. This subject
- 1:03:57Speaker 12: of the Strawberry Letter today is he's here physical, but
- 1:04:00Speaker 12: not mentally exactly.
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: This is what this letter's hold all about. The lady
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: nailed this letter perfectly and has given us enough facts
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: for us to come to a conclusion. They've been legally
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: separated for five months. Facts. Okay, ladies, this is what
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: I'm gonna do when I say something that's true. Y'all
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: say facts. Wow, my husband and I have been legally
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: separated for about five months. Fat things was bad between
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: us last year and he decided it was the best
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: to move out for a while. I agreed with him,
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: so he went.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: To stay with his dad. Facts.
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: His son, our son seventeen, been living with my husband's
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: dad for his senior year to be close to the
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: school and to drive his granddaddy's old Camaro. It was
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: an ideal situation for the three of them.
- 1:04:49Speaker 16: Fac.
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: I thought my husband gonna serve you with divorce papers.
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: Did on Christmas? But did he After Christmas? He asked
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: if we could go counseling to get with him.
- 1:05:00Speaker 16: I agreed.
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: They went to see a therapist for two months. He
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: got mad at the therapist because the male therapist was
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: taking his side, so they stopped going to a therapy.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Facts.
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: Well, then they found out why they was in therapy,
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: that he cheated on the woman, and then he told
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: her it was because I'm.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Not attracted to you. Ooh, Facts, So what are we
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: talking about now?
- 1:05:27Speaker 15: You know?
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: Then he hit you with a double whaman told you
- 1:05:30Speaker 8: he wanted to move back home, and I couldn't say
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: no because it's his house too.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: So he been back since.
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: Mate, his body's here, but not his mind back Facts
- 1:05:43Speaker 8: all right, now that's over with. So now ladies, listen
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: to this When I talked to him, he smiles and nods.
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: I know he's not paying attention to me, And I
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: thought that when he came back home, I gave a
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: knight to remember, but he ain't touched me since. And
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: so now I tried to shower with him, he locked
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: the bathroom. Why would he come back home without changing
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: his behavior? I cannot live like this? Should I be
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: the one that calls it quits this time? Help?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Please?
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: I think you should call it quits because I see
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: nothing in there. There's no redeeming qualities in here. Y'all
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: separated because it was going bad. All of y'all agreed.
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: He went over that. Now why did he come back?
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: It's what you don't know. Because see, your son got
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: somebody of it because he driving the carter stool. Yeah,
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: your daddy, his daddy got somebody of it because he
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: finally had some company. But it ain't good when all
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: when three men live in the house, an old man,
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: ranged man, and a young boy.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Ain't nothing clean in that house.
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: Your husband got out of there because at least he
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: can come back home. And he came home for convenience,
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: not for you. Just now, that's all it was. So now,
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: ladies ask me anything. You are are creators to that,
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: And I will tell you how an unconcerned her husband
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: reacts because she said, his body's here, but not his mind.
- 1:07:13Speaker 8: When I talked to him, he nods and smiles, but
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: I know he had this. I ain't going ahead?

- 1:13:59Speaker 12: found that her sister had sex with her man and
- 1:14:02Speaker 12: she needs some advice.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Steve.
- 1:14:03Speaker 12: We'll get into it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:14:06Speaker 12: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, this is
- 1:14:13Speaker 12: from Vita and Raleigh. Vita says, over twenty years ago,
- 1:14:16Speaker 12: my sister had sex with my boyfriend. I ran into
- 1:14:20Speaker 12: the guy at our class reunion recently and he told
- 1:14:23Speaker 12: me what happened. He said that my sister came on
- 1:14:26Speaker 12: to him because I had told her that he was
- 1:14:28Speaker 12: good in dead. He said she teased him about being
- 1:14:32Speaker 12: scared to have sex with someone older than him, so
- 1:14:35Speaker 12: he did it to prove her wrong. I believe him.
- 1:14:38Speaker 19: How could my sister do that?
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: She has kept this secret for years. I want to
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: confront her. But is it worth it? This Vita, twenty
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: years ago, I don't know if it was worth I
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:14:53Speaker 8: Let me answer this question, Shirley, because I think all
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: thet huh, how did she find out about it? To
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: do just volunteered the information.
- 1:15:02Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Yeah, she ran into him at their class reunion and
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: he told her what happened. Oh, they not seeing each other,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: she just ran into him.
- 1:15:11Speaker 12: Yeah at the class reunion. This happened over twenty years ago, Steve,
- 1:15:14Speaker 12: and he brought that up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah.
- 1:15:19Speaker 8: That's a real nothing dude, man. Exactly, that's a real
- 1:15:23Speaker 8: nothing dude. And if I were you, I would not
- 1:15:26Speaker 8: allow him to ruin you in your sister's relationship like
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: that because you had a where did this devil come from?
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: From under this rock?
- 1:15:34Speaker 19: Exactly?
- 1:15:35Speaker 8: We had twenty year reunion and that he been he
- 1:15:37Speaker 8: the whole time. He been thinking of telling you this.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Dude, man, Yeah, what is he looking like after twenty years? Anyway?
- 1:15:46Speaker 8: He say he had to say, which is really what's
- 1:15:51Speaker 8: throwing up?
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: Exactly?
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: That's what come on, That's what I want to get through.
- 1:15:56Speaker 8: Yeah, because I've seen some people from my past. I've
- 1:16:00Speaker 8: heard woman say you remember me, uh huh, and and
- 1:16:05Speaker 8: you said all I remembered wasn't the voice. Have you
- 1:16:16Speaker 8: noticed that when you get older, your face and head
- 1:16:19Speaker 8: gets bigger?
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: Is that true?
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Boy?
- 1:16:22Speaker 8: Look at your old pictures? Yeah, your face and head
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: is bigger than it was in college.
- 1:16:30Speaker 19: Yeah, the face gets a little wider, yeah face.
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: Yeah, and some of them get wider than normal. I
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: was talking to that girl. It looked like her whole
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: face was shut.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Was shut everything that comes to your mind.
- 1:16:51Speaker 6: Back?

- 1:17:10Speaker 12: walked in on my girlfriend talking to another guy. She
- 1:17:13Speaker 12: was asking if he was okay and if he needed anything.
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: She said she was going to bring some food by
- 1:17:19Speaker 12: because he needed to eat something. I asked her if
- 1:17:22Speaker 12: the guy had a death in the family, and she
- 1:17:24Speaker 12: said he was sad over a breakup. I think it's
- 1:17:27Speaker 12: inappropriate for my girl to be counseling her grown coworker
- 1:17:31Speaker 12: after a breakup. I told her that he's setting her
- 1:17:35Speaker 12: up to see how nice she can be. Am I
- 1:17:37Speaker 12: wrong for how I feel about this?
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Am I wrong?
- 1:17:41Speaker 15: No?
- 1:17:41Speaker 8: You ain't wrong, You ain't got wrong. But your problem
- 1:17:45Speaker 8: is how your.

- 1:17:49Speaker 13: Huh.
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: See, you can't disrespect your man. I'm just telling you
- 1:17:54Speaker 8: that right now, and you can't have your man thinking
- 1:17:57Speaker 8: for one moment the man in front of him, No
- 1:18:01Speaker 8: more than a woman can feel like there's another woman
- 1:18:05Speaker 8: in front of her. That ain't gonna make that. That
- 1:18:08Speaker 8: ain't gonna make no sense to nobody in a Relationshipry.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: All of those and their food on over here over here,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: you know, Yeah, you ain't taking nobody nothing.
- 1:18:20Speaker 8: He ain't got nobody can take him some soup and

- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I don't know what he's saying to get that. Yeah,

- 1:25:00Speaker 8: the United States over the next three years that will
- 1:25:03Speaker 8: expand manufacturing and create more jobs for Americas.
- 1:25:07Speaker 15: And they just announced that they will not be raising
- 1:25:09Speaker 15: M s r P through June second, no matter what.
- 1:25:13Speaker 16: Called five six two three one.
- 1:25:14Speaker 8: Four four six zero three for more details.
- 1:25:18Speaker 12: All right, guys, here we are last break of the day,
- 1:25:21Speaker 12: and it's been a great day.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: Wow, what a day it has been. Steve, you got
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: some for us? What a question, Carlin? Question for Steve. Yeah,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: So here's my question.
- 1:25:36Speaker 8: Listening it's.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: It is mean trying to Steve was looking at me like, uh,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: did Carlin?
- 1:25:49Speaker 15: She had a question?
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm like that that blacked out. Here's
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: my question. Steve, how do you show up for yourself
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: every day? How do you do that?
- 1:26:00Speaker 8: Is a.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: I know it's a struggle sometimes, you know, I guess
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I would have to say a person has.
- 1:26:09Speaker 8: To make a commitment to your vision, to your dreams,
- 1:26:15Speaker 8: to your aspirations, and you got to get committed to that.
- 1:26:20Speaker 8: And you have to really understand that this is based
- 1:26:23Speaker 8: solely on you making the decision every day that I'm
- 1:26:27Speaker 8: gonna be about it. And if you're not gonna be
- 1:26:31Speaker 8: about it, you can stop looking around because it's really
- 1:26:34Speaker 8: on you.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: It's really not about anybody else.
- 1:26:39Speaker 8: It's really not what they saying about you online, it's
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: not about how they feel about you on your job,
- 1:26:45Speaker 8: and nothing to do with your coworkers. Your boss might
- 1:26:49Speaker 8: have a certain amount of control in certain situations, but
- 1:26:52Speaker 8: your boss is not in control of your destiny and
- 1:26:55Speaker 8: your life unless you give it to him. And not
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: to give permission to anybody to have control over my
- 1:27:05Speaker 8: life or my destiny except my God. That's it, and
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: I have made a conscious commitment. It's what you gotta do, y'all.
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: You gotta decide I'm gonna be about it today. I'm
- 1:27:21Speaker 8: gonna be about it. In spite of I'm gonna be
- 1:27:24Speaker 8: about it, in spite of the fact that I don't
- 1:27:26Speaker 8: really feel myself today, I'm gonna be about it. I'm
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: gonna be about it no matter what they say. I'm
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: gonna be about it, no matter what the naysayers have
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: come up with. I don't care what the vote is.
- 1:27:39Speaker 8: I really don't care. I can't tell you how many
- 1:27:43Speaker 8: times I have had to ignore what's being said about me,
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: and you have to do that. I can't tell you
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: how many times you're gonna have to ignore their opinion
- 1:27:55Speaker 8: of you. You have got to make a commitment in
- 1:27:59Speaker 8: you your mind that you're gonna be about it. And
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: you know, you hear the saying that the race isn't
- 1:28:06Speaker 8: given to the swift, but to him that endure it
- 1:28:09Speaker 8: to the end. You got to endure, man. This is
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: not going to be simple or easy. You have got
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: to be persistent because guess what life gonna keep coming,
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: and what you have to factor into it every day
- 1:28:28Speaker 8: is that haters is coming to.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: They coming.
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: And the crazy thing like now in the world we
- 1:28:36Speaker 8: live in today is because of social media and technology,
- 1:28:41Speaker 8: hater's got a voice, hater's got a platform. Who used
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: to never be able to even have access to you.
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: So you gotta be careful with trolling and social media
- 1:28:53Speaker 8: and all of these stuff. Man, you can't let that
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: in be in your life, because man, you'll get there.
- 1:29:00Speaker 8: I forgot what I was watching the other day, and
- 1:29:04Speaker 8: the person was so hung up on the social media
- 1:29:08Speaker 8: and what they were saying. Oh, I know what I
- 1:29:10Speaker 8: was watching. I was watching a documentary on Meg the Stallion.
- 1:29:16Speaker 8: I was on a plane and I was watching, which
- 1:29:19Speaker 8: is a really good thing. You know, these young people
- 1:29:21Speaker 8: they document so much of their life because they got
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: phone cameras and they got somebody following them for social
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: media content. But if you keep it on long enough,
- 1:29:28Speaker 8: you start hearing the real. And Meg the Stallion was
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: really going through it with that trial, with that with
- 1:29:35Speaker 8: that guy that shot her and all like this, and
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: then so many people sided against her and it started
- 1:29:40Speaker 8: affecting her mentally where she was having anxiety and depression
- 1:29:45Speaker 8: and all of this here. And she said at one moment,
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: she said, every time something would happen, she would see
- 1:29:53Speaker 8: what the post was saying, and they was eating her
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: up and it was throwing her into something. And she said,
- 1:29:59Speaker 8: I got stop reading this stuff. Well, you got to
- 1:30:03Speaker 8: stop reading it, because now you're allowing someone else to
- 1:30:07Speaker 8: have an opinion about you that don't even know you,
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: and and what's more importantly, do not even care about you.
- 1:30:16Speaker 8: So I developed a couple of I developed a couple
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: of coping mechanisms. Number one, if you don't have my
- 1:30:25Speaker 8: cell number, I don't care what you think. I don't.
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: And that has really helped, because if you're important to me,
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: you probably have my number. And if my number ain't
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: lit up with texts from people who actually have access
- 1:30:42Speaker 8: to me, what do I care about you online? And
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: then you have to understand about trollers and haters. They
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: are not decision makers, power brokers, shakers and movers. They're
- 1:30:54Speaker 8: none of that.
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: They just hate us.
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: So I have decide it that I'm going to show
- 1:31:02Speaker 8: up every day, even when I don't feel like it.
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: Just showing up makes you win.
- 1:31:07Speaker 20: Man.
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: Just showing up put you ahead of the game. Do
- 1:31:12Speaker 8: you know how many people are not gonna show up?
- 1:31:14Speaker 8: You know how many people gonna quit?
- 1:31:17Speaker 17: Not me.
- 1:31:18Speaker 8: I've made a commitment to show up. I'm showing up.
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: Just show up, man, Just keep putting one foot in
- 1:31:26Speaker 8: front of the next, keep showing up. There's a victory
- 1:31:31Speaker 8: on the other side of that, and I don't care
- 1:31:33Speaker 8: how uncomfortable it is. But I've discovered one last thing.
- 1:31:37Speaker 8: Everything I've ever wanted in life was on the other
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: side of uncomfortable. I just keep putting my foot in
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: front of the other. I don't care how uncomfortable it is.
- 1:31:47Speaker 8: I'm committed. Ton't show up. Thank you for asking, because
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: those are my closing lids. Why sho That's why they
- 1:31:56Speaker 8: talk to God today. He'd absolutely love to hear.
