- 2:09Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show, keep saying it can't stop. Man,
- 2:14Speaker 7: oh man, oh man, what a journey it has been.
- 2:17Speaker 7: I thank God for every single step of the way.
- 2:19Speaker 7: I learned to thank him for the bad times too,
- 2:23Speaker 7: because it taught me something.
- 2:25Speaker 1: All the bad.
- 2:25Speaker 7: Times, all the failures, they became valuable experiences in my life.
- 2:30Speaker 7: Every time I failed, I learned a little bit more
- 2:32Speaker 7: about getting up. Every time I was told no, it
- 2:35Speaker 7: moved me one step closer to yes. It made me stronger,
- 2:39Speaker 7: It toughened my skin. It made me learn how to
- 2:42Speaker 7: deal with haters. It made me learn how to deal
- 2:44Speaker 7: with people who don't have your best interest at heart. Man,
- 2:48Speaker 7: ain't y'all all out there feeling me on this one
- 2:50Speaker 7: right here. It teaches you who is who in your life.
- 2:54Speaker 7: It shows you who you can depend on and who
- 2:57Speaker 7: you came. And at the end of the day, what
- 2:59Speaker 7: is taught taught me most of all my hardships in
- 3:02Speaker 7: my life.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And it's really about me and God.
- 3:05Speaker 7: That is the one factor that has been never changed
- 3:09Speaker 7: in my life. God has always been the same for
- 3:13Speaker 7: me and for you and for all of us. His
- 3:17Speaker 7: word is true. It don't waiver, it don't shake. You
- 3:20Speaker 7: can shape it, readjust it if you want to. It
- 3:23Speaker 7: is really the way it's written. It really is. You
- 3:26Speaker 7: have your version of it if you want to. But
- 3:29Speaker 7: if you just read it the way it is, it's
- 3:30Speaker 7: real clear. Ain't no loopholes in it. Every time you
- 3:34Speaker 7: jump through a loophole. There's something over there written that
- 3:37Speaker 7: count as that. So is what I want to get
- 3:40Speaker 7: to today. Listen to me. You got it within you?
- 3:45Speaker 7: Oh it's there, Just use it. Listen to me close.
- 3:50Speaker 7: You got it within you. Oh it's there, Just use it.
- 3:55Speaker 7: If you hear me clearly, I'm really finn to show
- 3:58Speaker 7: you something this morning. You got it within you?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Oh?
- 4:02Speaker 7: Is that just use it, Steve, what you're talking about. See,
- 4:07Speaker 7: here's what's wrong with a lot of people. Here's what's
- 4:10Speaker 7: stopping so many people. You keep looking. We keep looking
- 4:16Speaker 7: for others to save us. We keep looking for someone
- 4:21Speaker 7: else to rescue us. We always looking for some group
- 4:25Speaker 7: of people or somebody to accept us. We keep looking
- 4:30Speaker 7: for someone else's approval. We always looking for some group
- 4:35Speaker 7: or somebody to deliver us, somebody, some group of people
- 4:40Speaker 7: to give us credibility, somebody or some group of people
- 4:45Speaker 7: who says we matter. We spend so much time right there,
- 4:51Speaker 7: and when the cavalry don't come over the hill, when
- 4:54Speaker 7: it ain't no saving, it ain't no deliverance, And hey,
- 4:56Speaker 7: you don't get accepted, and don't nobody really come to
- 5:00Speaker 7: save you? And the ain't nobody vouching for you and
- 5:02Speaker 7: giving you credibility? And throw you into something naw, you
- 5:06Speaker 7: into this little state of man. I don't know what
- 5:08Speaker 7: I'm gonna do. Oh you got it within you, Oh
- 5:12Speaker 7: it's there.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Just use it.
- 5:14Speaker 7: You want to know what the real deal is, y'all?
- 5:17Speaker 7: It's you and God, and it's the God in you.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Man.
- 5:24Speaker 7: I wish I could explain this right to you today
- 5:26Speaker 7: I want you to fill me on this right here.
- 5:29Speaker 7: When you shake everything out the way, get rid of
- 5:32Speaker 7: all your expectations of people. The relationship you thought was
- 5:36Speaker 7: gonna last forever that didn't make it, the child that
- 5:39Speaker 7: you wanted to be, this that turned out to be that,
- 5:41Speaker 7: your friend you thought was your friend, that stabbed you.
- 5:44Speaker 1: In the back. You found out they wouldn't.
- 5:46Speaker 7: The job you thought was gonna keep you and you'd
- 5:48Speaker 7: retire on they didn't closed down, gave you a pink slip.
- 5:51Speaker 8: All of this.
- 5:52Speaker 7: Man that promised that somebody told you they was gonna
- 5:54Speaker 7: loan you this money, and on loan day they say
- 5:57Speaker 7: they ain't got it. Oh man, oh man, this money
- 6:01Speaker 7: you thought was gonna come through on this check, The
- 6:03Speaker 7: check ain't there? Oh man? How many disappointments in life
- 6:07Speaker 7: can you get? You thought you had enough credit. I
- 6:10Speaker 7: was to graduate. You found out two weeks before you didn't.
- 6:13Speaker 7: You can't graduate. Oh listen here, man, what's gonna help man?
- 6:16Speaker 7: Look at the disappointment in my life right now? But
- 6:19Speaker 7: let me explain something to you. When you get rid
- 6:22Speaker 7: of all of that, guess what you really got? You
- 6:26Speaker 7: got God, that's the whole enchilada. Baby, that's the ball
- 6:29Speaker 7: of wax. That's the monkeys in the barrel, that's the
- 6:31Speaker 7: bag of chips. Listen to me. If you got God,
- 6:35Speaker 7: do you understand that that's sufficient?
- 6:38Speaker 1: That that say all you need? Can you feel me?
- 6:40Speaker 2: Now?
- 6:41Speaker 7: You and God and the God in you, it's really
- 6:47Speaker 7: what you need. Stop looking for all these outside sources
- 6:50Speaker 7: for approval, to gain acceptance, to get credibility, somebody to
- 6:55Speaker 7: save you, the calvary coming over the hill. Why won't
- 6:58Speaker 7: they recognize me? Why won't they give me clothure? Why
- 7:01Speaker 7: they fire me? Why they forek closing on my house?
- 7:04Speaker 7: Don't they know I'm laid off. When you get through it,
- 7:07Speaker 7: all of that whining, it's gonna come down to you
- 7:11Speaker 7: and God and the God in you. If God created
- 7:15Speaker 7: man in his own image, God is a part of you,
- 7:19Speaker 7: that is a piece of you that's godly.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. I don't care what
- 7:25Speaker 1: mistake you made.
- 7:26Speaker 7: The murderer that's sitting in jail today because of a
- 7:30Speaker 7: moment in his life that he's now paying for, has
- 7:33Speaker 7: God in you?
- 7:35Speaker 1: The biggest criminal.
- 7:37Speaker 7: When he gets through criminalizing or whatever you want to
- 7:40Speaker 7: call it, he's sitting there by his self that is
- 7:43Speaker 7: a piece of God in him that lets him know
- 7:46Speaker 7: this ain't the way, this wrong. You can love his
- 7:49Speaker 7: money if you want to put you out of line,
- 7:51Speaker 7: and you gonna pay at the end of the day.
- 7:54Speaker 1: When I get through on this microphone, on.
- 7:56Speaker 7: This TV, all these articles, when I get through it,
- 7:59Speaker 7: all of that, you know to come down to because see,
- 8:01Speaker 7: it ain't always been this way for me.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You know, I've been trying to get here, trying to
- 8:05Speaker 1: get that. Listen to me.
- 8:06Speaker 7: It's been me and God and it's been to God
- 8:10Speaker 7: in me. When I woke up a few years back
- 8:13Speaker 7: and I realized that's really what it was, it changed
- 8:16Speaker 7: my whole life. It changed my whole life. Your whole
- 8:20Speaker 7: life can get changed when you realize that it's really
- 8:24Speaker 7: you and God and the God in you.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Really man.
- 8:27Speaker 7: People disappoint you, You argue with people, You fall out
- 8:30Speaker 7: with people, You break up with people, You divorce people.
- 8:33Speaker 7: You got people who you thought was friends, all of
- 8:35Speaker 7: a sudden you find out they talking about.
- 8:36Speaker 1: It's crazy out here. You been going, what's going on?
- 8:39Speaker 1: What's really going on?
- 8:42Speaker 7: But that's because guess what you got all yours banked
- 8:45Speaker 7: on them. When you go bank it on the one
- 8:48Speaker 7: thing that you can count on. God's word ain't changed
- 8:50Speaker 7: since we got here.
- 8:52Speaker 1: It's solid.
- 8:54Speaker 7: If you pray, believe, work hard, don't doubt you'll get
- 8:56Speaker 7: whatever you ask for. That's the fact that ain't no
- 8:59Speaker 7: rumor speakle out here doing it every day. Now, if
- 9:02Speaker 7: you ain't trying that, listen to me. You got it
- 9:05Speaker 7: within you. Oh it's there. You just gotta use it.
- 9:08Speaker 1: There is a weapon available to man called prayer. Use that.
- 9:13Speaker 2: See.
- 9:13Speaker 7: I look at my life, man, whenever I get a
- 9:15Speaker 7: little shaky, I look back. Oh hey, man, I ain't
- 9:17Speaker 7: really talk with him too much yesterday. Oh, tighten up.
- 9:21Speaker 7: I'm just telling you real. You got a better answer.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Oh oh oh, I know what.
- 9:27Speaker 7: Oh my bad, Steve. Now, Steve, I ain't winning costs.
- 9:30Speaker 7: They ain't get me the loan all now, Steve, I
- 9:32Speaker 7: ain't winning costs.
- 9:33Speaker 1: She left me. He left me.
- 9:34Speaker 7: I ain't winning, Steve, because I got stuck with these kids.
- 9:37Speaker 7: I got a divorce. They fired me. They for clothes
- 9:40Speaker 7: on my own. That's why I ain't winning. You ain't
- 9:42Speaker 7: winning cause you ain't praying. You got to pray and
- 9:44Speaker 7: believe in work. That's the key. Come on, man, you
- 9:49Speaker 7: got it. Within you. Oh, it's there. You just got
- 9:52Speaker 7: to use it. It's just you and God, and it's
- 9:54Speaker 7: to God in you. And what y'all gonna do about that.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the ride. This is the
- 10:05Speaker 7: Steve Harvey Morning So special shout out to people who
- 10:09Speaker 7: never get shout outs. Shout out to the school bus
- 10:12Speaker 7: drivers this morning for doing the work out there keeping
- 10:16Speaker 7: the kids safe on the highway.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Shout out to y'all man.
- 10:19Speaker 7: Shout out to all the postal workers that's out there
- 10:21Speaker 7: doing their job even in this inclement weather. Man, Thank
- 10:25Speaker 7: y'all for holding it down right there. Thank you to
- 10:29Speaker 7: all of the bars that's still open, you know, even
- 10:33Speaker 7: bless somebody come in to get a hot shot. You know,
- 10:36Speaker 7: sometimes you just need a little chest heater to go
- 10:39Speaker 7: down get you through the day. Special shout out to
- 10:42Speaker 7: crossing guards people out there that help the kids get
- 10:46Speaker 7: across the street.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Then shout out this morning to people.
- 10:52Speaker 7: That work in nursing homes that's doing it the right way,
- 10:55Speaker 7: to really taking care of the elderly and really caring
- 10:59Speaker 7: that the rest of y'all that ain't doing it the
- 11:01Speaker 7: right way, You're going to hell.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Just want you to know that them you knew they
- 11:06Speaker 1: needed to be wiped. You knew that. You walked in
- 11:10Speaker 1: there and you smelled. You know that.
- 11:11Speaker 7: So shout out this morning, and last but not least,
- 11:15Speaker 7: shout out to everybody who has not signed up to
- 11:19Speaker 7: be an ICE agent. Shout out to y'all for not
- 11:22Speaker 7: signing up to be an ICE agent. Oh and secondly,
- 11:25Speaker 7: I think we need to have an amendment. If you're
- 11:28Speaker 7: going to be an ICE agent, you have to show
- 11:30Speaker 7: your face that police officers have to have a name
- 11:33Speaker 7: and a badge number, and they have to be able
- 11:35Speaker 7: to identify themselves, and ICE agents should have to do
- 11:39Speaker 7: the same thing, because when do you see people with
- 11:42Speaker 7: mask on when they're about to commit a crime. All
- 11:46Speaker 7: bank robbers wear masks, all people that break in stores
- 11:50Speaker 7: wear masks, and ICE agents wear masks because now they
- 11:53Speaker 7: have been given full freedom to break the law. And
- 11:57Speaker 7: that's exactly what's happened. So shout out to everybody who
- 12:00Speaker 7: is not an ICE agent. This is the Steve Harvey
- 12:05Speaker 7: Morning Show, and in the words of Montel Jordan, this
- 12:09Speaker 7: is how we do come on to show the Strawberry,

- 12:30Speaker 7: Yeah, you need to sit right, but that's you need
- 12:33Speaker 7: to get a space heater maid that strap on your
- 12:35Speaker 7: back like a backpack.

- 12:48Speaker 11: with you? What age was that about?
- 12:51Speaker 1: Non special? This is a true statement.
- 12:55Speaker 7: My mother used to take me to prayer on Friday
- 12:59Speaker 7: nights and have the minister lay hands on me because
- 13:04Speaker 7: she says something wrong with him. He say whatever on
- 13:07Speaker 7: his mind, and so if she says something on my son,
- 13:13Speaker 7: I want you to pray for and so then he
- 13:15Speaker 7: pray for him put his hand on my forehead and
- 13:17Speaker 7: then hit it. You know how they hitch your forehead
- 13:19Speaker 7: and you're supposed to fall back.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 13:21Speaker 7: I didn't fall There's nothing wrong now, there's nothing wrong
- 13:24Speaker 7: with me. Why would I fall out?
- 13:26Speaker 2: So what?
- 13:28Speaker 7: I don't want to be touched? Stop this and when
- 13:32Speaker 7: we're coming back next Friday.

- 22:44Speaker 12: ask the CLO our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in
- 22:48Speaker 12: the building. This is from Selena in the Bronx Colo.
- 22:53Speaker 12: Selena writes, my husband has been putting his phone on
- 22:56Speaker 12: D and D when he's home. He said he wants
- 22:58Speaker 12: to disconnect and focus on me and the kids.
- 23:01Speaker 1: But I don't buy it.
- 23:03Speaker 12: He's too old to have figured this phone thing out
- 23:05Speaker 12: by himself.
- 23:06Speaker 15: What or who is he trying to block?
- 23:09Speaker 1: Wow? Does that mean do not disturb?
- 23:13Speaker 7: Yes, yes, that's cool, that's cool. He did he putting
- 23:18Speaker 7: it on D and D spend more time with you
- 23:21Speaker 7: and the kids. Now what you want? What do you
- 23:23Speaker 7: mean who is he trying to block? If he wanted
- 23:25Speaker 7: to block him, he could block him. He don't have
- 23:27Speaker 7: to put his phone off. He trying to spend some quality.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Time with you and the kids. You trip it sometimes
- 23:32Speaker 1: you just sometimes you make a problem that ain't there.
- 23:35Speaker 7: Do you have any evidence that he's seeing somebody cheating
- 23:38Speaker 7: or anything, or just you don't understand all of a
- 23:40Speaker 7: sudden how he putting his phone on He's.
- 23:43Speaker 15: Too old to have figured this out by himself.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Okay, cool, then I'm old.
- 23:49Speaker 7: I can't figure this stuff. But my kids tell me
- 23:51Speaker 7: how to do stuff all the time. You know how
- 23:53Speaker 7: to put your phone on, do not disturb?
- 23:56Speaker 15: Huh.
- 23:59Speaker 7: Moving on to Travis, I just got the volume all
- 24:02Speaker 7: the way down and turn it over so I don't
- 24:03Speaker 7: even see your light.
- 24:07Speaker 1: He perceived.
- 24:09Speaker 12: Travis in Toledo writes, my wife and my mom are
- 24:13Speaker 12: beefing because they wore the same dress to a wedding.
- 24:16Speaker 12: My wife told my mom to stop copying her style.
- 24:19Speaker 12: I think it's cool that she likes my wife's style,
- 24:21Speaker 12: and I asked my wife to apologize.
- 24:24Speaker 15: I got cursed out. Do I stay out of it?
- 24:27Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:28Speaker 7: You should stay out of that, because, Doug, you don't
- 24:31Speaker 7: even understand what it is they talking about. They wore
- 24:35Speaker 7: the same dress to the web. They knew they was
- 24:38Speaker 7: going to the wed They both got invited. Your girl,
- 24:42Speaker 7: your your your wife probably bought the dress. Your mama
- 24:46Speaker 7: saw it and went and got the same one. Now
- 24:50Speaker 7: they standing up there looking like the two brides maids
- 24:53Speaker 7: that they ain't making.
- 24:59Speaker 1: So telling him to stay out of it, yeah, man,
- 25:02Speaker 1: stay out of it. If you want to have some peace,
- 25:04Speaker 1: to stay out of that.
- 25:05Speaker 7: Yeah, but you know your wife got to quit tripping
- 25:08Speaker 7: with flattery.
- 25:10Speaker 1: That's a copying is a form of flattery.
- 25:12Speaker 15: She likes her style, so yeah, but still.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Why don't you tell your wife she copying your mama style?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Stay out of it. But if he says that, well,
- 25:25Speaker 1: then look, you're the closest thing.
- 25:28Speaker 7: I wanted to find a woman like my mother, and
- 25:31Speaker 7: now I find her, and then y'all just tolike And now.
- 25:34Speaker 1: You got a problem with that.
- 25:35Speaker 7: I love both of y'all, And then don't make no
- 25:37Speaker 7: more stake here, stay out.
- 25:40Speaker 15: I think his wife could help his mom in a
- 25:42Speaker 15: different you know, just help her.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, beefing together.
- 25:47Speaker 15: Yeah, but not with your man mother over address.
- 25:53Speaker 1: It's way more important stuff to do, exactly, all right.
- 25:58Speaker 12: Moving on to Faith and Jacksonville, Fiate says, Uh, my
- 26:03Speaker 12: boyfriend calls my best friend whenever we argue.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I hate discussing.
- 26:08Speaker 12: My relationship with her because she usually sides with him.
- 26:12Speaker 12: I want to move out, but she said that would
- 26:14Speaker 12: be a big mistake. Should I move out and break
- 26:16Speaker 12: up with both of them.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Have each other. I don't know.
- 26:22Speaker 12: I don't know, but he's calling her best friend whenever
- 26:25Speaker 12: they get into it. Whenever they argue, he's on the
- 26:28Speaker 12: phone talk to.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Her best friend. She doesn't like that. Okay, yeah, yeah, move,
- 26:33Speaker 1: He'll go ahead. Move well.
- 26:37Speaker 15: She doesn't like the fact is her best friend, but
- 26:39Speaker 15: her best friend sides with her.
- 26:41Speaker 7: Okay, well go move break over with Bob. Now you
- 26:44Speaker 7: ain't got no man and no friend. Ago bouts.
- 26:49Speaker 1: She's in her feelings. What are you saying? She's getting
- 26:52Speaker 1: on your nerves?
- 26:53Speaker 3: I mean what, you don't want to help me?
- 26:56Speaker 7: I told you all in twenty six I don't.
- 27:00Speaker 1: But I'm nothing to do. I'm nothing to wreck my
- 27:03Speaker 1: brain no more.
- 27:05Speaker 7: No, I'm gonna give you the answer I got And
- 27:07Speaker 7: if you don't like that one, you write about something
- 27:10Speaker 7: else next week.
- 27:10Speaker 1: But Steve, because you're gonna have some more problems. Her
- 27:13Speaker 1: purpose is to help you, do realize that? Yeah, let
- 27:17Speaker 1: me ask you a question.
- 27:18Speaker 7: Yes, let me ask you and everybody driving in their car,
- 27:22Speaker 7: have you ever realized at some point that it's some
- 27:25Speaker 7: people you can't help.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Have you ever had to come to that? Yes, but
- 27:30Speaker 1: not this. Let me ask you another question. Here's one
- 27:34Speaker 1: I got another one, faith.
- 27:35Speaker 7: Have you ever have somebody ever wrote in or asked
- 27:38Speaker 7: you for advice on the phone, text, or anything, and
- 27:41Speaker 7: you gave him the answer, And then they start with
- 27:43Speaker 7: but but I.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Will see right, can help them.
- 27:49Speaker 8: They don't want to.
- 27:51Speaker 15: So your response to this woman faith is to leave
- 27:55Speaker 15: them both.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Because that's the only option she gave me.
- 27:59Speaker 15: But she said some other suggestions.
- 28:02Speaker 7: She says, should I break up with should I move out?
- 28:06Speaker 7: Break up with him and break up with her.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Too, both of them?
- 28:09Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, So the option is she ain't got me
- 28:13Speaker 7: gaming all the option. So the option okay, stay, yeah,
- 28:19Speaker 7: stay and don't worry about nothing.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Then he'll call her, let her talk to him, and
- 28:26Speaker 1: quit worrying.
- 28:26Speaker 12: About This answer sucks, Okay, moving on to the last one.
- 28:33Speaker 15: Maybe you can help Chauncey in l a Uh, Chauncey.
- 28:36Speaker 7: Had a whole lot of trouble and he was my boy.
- 28:38Speaker 7: To Chauncey, Biller shout out to Chauncey, Billy hanging that dog.
- 28:43Speaker 7: Chauncey says, yeah, hearing that gambling thing. Yes, I got busy,
- 28:50Speaker 7: shout out to him hanging in there.
- 28:52Speaker 8: I hope he gets cut up.
- 28:54Speaker 1: But you can help Chauncey. But why are you arrested
- 28:57Speaker 1: somebody for cheating and gambling? How that what you supposed
- 29:00Speaker 1: to do.
- 29:02Speaker 12: In the sport that he's a coach but you're helping
- 29:06Speaker 12: him though, you see.
- 29:07Speaker 7: You see they had a card game and he had
- 29:09Speaker 7: rigged the cards and lights up under the table and
- 29:12Speaker 7: stuff and could tell what people had in their hands.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Yeah, he wasn't betting on basketball game. So like Shirley said,
- 29:20Speaker 1: you can help chance.
- 29:22Speaker 7: That's the Chauncy I want to help because I don't
- 29:24Speaker 7: know what this other chancey?
- 29:25Speaker 1: What the other chancey want? How much time? What the
- 29:28Speaker 1: other Chauncey w the one that wrote in I really want.
- 29:31Speaker 15: To help Chauncey Bathe. Her name is Faith.
- 29:33Speaker 7: You see, I'm not gonna be help nobody with name
- 29:35Speaker 7: like Faith. You need to be talking to God if.
- 29:37Speaker 1: You need to have some faith.
- 29:39Speaker 7: Yeah, your name Faith, You really just go straight to God.
- 29:43Speaker 7: I don't know why you bother me. Chauncey Billup needs
- 29:45Speaker 7: some help, now, see see they trying they go trying
- 29:49Speaker 7: to wrest Chauncey for running a game, a card game,
- 29:52Speaker 7: and he was cheating and it was an illegal game,
- 29:54Speaker 7: but one of the two, which one you won't charge
- 29:57Speaker 7: me with? But if I got an legal game, what
- 30:01Speaker 7: is you charging me for cheating?
- 30:02Speaker 1: Folk? Do you know how many.
- 30:07Speaker 7: Times I've been gambling with my friends and I cheated
- 30:10Speaker 7: and every.
- 30:11Speaker 12: Time, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, that's you shouldn't be saying.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Okay, God, do you need us to help?
- 30:21Speaker 15: We gotta go. At the top of the hour, we'll
- 30:25Speaker 15: have some entertainment news for you if we still have jobs.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Okay, right after that, you're listening Steve.

- 56:44Speaker 12: Thank you, ne you. Subject the back seat and the barbershop.
- 56:48Speaker 12: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a married woman in my late forties.
- 56:52Speaker 12: I have a boyfriend that's five years younger than I am,
- 56:55Speaker 12: and he's also married. He's a co owner of a barbershop,
- 56:59Speaker 12: and that's where we met. That's where I met him.
- 57:02Speaker 12: We've been seeing each other for a few weeks, and
- 57:05Speaker 12: he's got long work hours, so we have to have
- 57:07Speaker 12: sex whenever and wherever we can. The first time we
- 57:11Speaker 12: were intimate, it was magical. I made an appointment to
- 57:15Speaker 12: get my lock shampooed, and I had no idea it
- 57:18Speaker 12: would be done by a big, handsome man with magical fingers.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Wow.
- 57:23Speaker 12: We were the only two in the barbershop, and he
- 57:26Speaker 12: asked me to remove my turtlenecks so it wouldn't get wet.
- 57:30Speaker 12: I knew he was flirting because I'd never been asked
- 57:32Speaker 12: to remove my shirt to get my hair washed. I
- 57:36Speaker 12: did it, and I leaned back in the chair with
- 57:38Speaker 12: my ample bosom filling out of my black lace bra.
- 57:43Speaker 12: He told me that he is all man and my
- 57:46Speaker 12: breasts were making it hard for him to work. He
- 57:49Speaker 12: leaned against me while he shampooed my hair, and I
- 57:52Speaker 12: could feel.
- 57:53Speaker 15: It pressed up on my arm.
- 57:56Speaker 12: It was at eye level, so as he shampooed my hair,
- 58:00Speaker 12: I did what I had to do. Since then, I've
- 58:02Speaker 12: been going by his shop a few days a week.
- 58:05Speaker 12: When there are other customers inside the barbershop, we go
- 58:09Speaker 12: out to the back seat of his car. We're either
- 58:12Speaker 12: in his barbershop or on the back seat. I would
- 58:15Speaker 12: love to stretch out and thoroughly enjoy myself, but he's
- 58:18Speaker 12: always got clients to get back to. It's the quickest,
- 58:22Speaker 12: most enjoyable sex I've had in a long time. I
- 58:26Speaker 12: tried to arrange a meetup for us in the past
- 58:28Speaker 12: weekend this past weekend, and he said he can't see
- 58:31Speaker 12: me outside of work hours because.
- 58:34Speaker 1: He's a family man. First.
- 58:36Speaker 15: How can he say this after all the kinky things he's.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Done to me.
- 58:40Speaker 12: I'd offer to get us a hotel room, and he said, no.
- 58:43Speaker 12: Why is he putting limits on our affair? Why is
- 58:48Speaker 12: he putting limits on your affair? You haven't figured it
- 58:51Speaker 12: out yet.
- 58:53Speaker 1: You're just the back seat girl.
- 58:55Speaker 12: Okay, He's not trying to have anything more than that
- 58:58Speaker 12: with you. You were too easy the first day in
- 59:01Speaker 12: the barbershop. You were doing too much then now you
- 59:05Speaker 12: want to stretch out and get comfortable and what make love.
- 59:08Speaker 15: No, he just wants to do you in the backseat
- 59:11Speaker 15: of his car and get back to his clients.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Okay, that's it.
- 59:15Speaker 12: You want to turn things up and have a full
- 59:17Speaker 12: blown affair or something with this guy, but.
- 59:19Speaker 1: That's not happening.
- 59:20Speaker 12: You're just some merried chick he's got on the side.
- 59:23Speaker 12: Stop trying to make this more than what it is.
- 59:26Speaker 9: It's not.
- 59:27Speaker 12: He's not gonna get too involved with you because he's
- 59:30Speaker 12: a family man.
- 59:31Speaker 9: First.
- 59:32Speaker 1: That's what he said. You don't mean.
- 59:33Speaker 12: Anything to him. You're not important to him. Isn't this obvious.
- 59:37Speaker 12: He's not going out of his way for you. He's
- 59:39Speaker 12: not spending any money on you any time really other
- 59:42Speaker 12: than the quickies, and he's not gonna take you anywhere nice.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Well, where's your husband? Anyway?
- 59:47Speaker 12: While all this is going on, I say to you,
- 59:50Speaker 12: get your dignity back. Stop being the back seat girl.
- 59:54Speaker 12: Leave this man alone. He's going to end it anyway
- 59:57Speaker 12: because you're going to become a problem to him. You're
- 1:00:00Speaker 12: catching feelings you want more than he's willing to give,
- 1:00:04Speaker 12: and that's not a good look for him.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: This married man who puts his family first.
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: Steve, it amazes me how people send these letters in
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: and they just start typing like it's like it's natural.
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: The subject is the backseat and the barber shop. Let
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: me walk you through this unnatural, natural letter. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: I'm a married woman in my late forties. Okay, I
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: have a boyfriend that's five years younger than i am
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: and he's also married. You don't see how this letter
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: is just and took so many terms. Yes, and you know,
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: just be typing like okay, this just what's happening. You know,
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: I'm in my late forties. I got a boyfriend that's
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: five years younger than me, and he married too. He's
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: a co owner of a barber shop and that's where
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: I met him. We've been seeing each other for a
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: few weeks now, and he's got long workouts.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: He owns a barber shop. He's a co op. So
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: we have to have sex whenever and wherever we can.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Right now, what you have to have sex?
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: But you don't though, see you created this and now
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: you're telling us something before you'd even told us how
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: it jumped off.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: But I'm gonna tell you why you're.
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: Having sex whenever and wherever you can the first time
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: we were intimate, it was magical. I had an appointment
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: to get my lock shampooed, and I had no idea
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: would be done by a big, handsome man with magical fingers.
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: We would only join the barbershop. He asked you to
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: take off your turtleneck so.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: It wouldn't get wet. Now he washing your head or
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: washing your neck smocks? What if we head Washington? Are
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: we neck washing?
- 1:02:04Speaker 18: Right?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: What we're doing?
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: So?
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: Now he asked you to take your turtle neck also
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: wouldn't get wet. And you knew he was flirting because
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: you ain't never been ass to take your shirt off,
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: get your hair was?
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I did it? And lean back, Well what you gonna

- 1:04:45Speaker 1: You didn't do that. You took it off and lean back.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Let him have it. He told me his all man
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: in his breast was making it hard for him to work.
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: He leaned against me while he shampooed my head, and
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: I could feel it pressed up on my arm. See
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: all this is trouble. It was at eye level, so

- 1:05:11Speaker 7: had to do.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Hold up because it was at eye level. You did
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: what you had to do. Really, you know how much
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: stuff I had had at eye level that I've had
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: this void in my life? Like what you know how
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: many women I meet that's at eye level gots to ignore.
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: If you doing stuff just because it's at eye level,
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: your tricky is to move it up to your eye
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: level if you sitting down at the banquet. All I
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: got to do is walk by eye level. Since then,

- 1:14:11Speaker 12: said he has a woman on the side. He said
- 1:14:14Speaker 12: it's getting messy and she wanted to tell me about them,
- 1:14:17Speaker 12: so he beat her to it. I could see that
- 1:14:21Speaker 12: it's really stressing him out, and he looks so relieved
- 1:14:23Speaker 12: after he told me, I had planned to talk to
- 1:14:26Speaker 12: the woman and tell her to release my husband. I
- 1:14:29Speaker 12: was going to deal with him after that. This morning
- 1:14:32Speaker 12: he asked me to stay out of it. He said
- 1:14:34Speaker 12: he would handle it. Should I trust that he's going
- 1:14:37Speaker 12: to end the affair with her. Am I being too understanding?
- 1:14:41Speaker 12: This is francine conversation.

- 1:14:55Speaker 1: That's what he gonna say.
- 1:14:56Speaker 15: Okay, but with that attitude though, after all it is,
- 1:15:01Speaker 15: he's not coming in humble.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Or with anything.

- 1:15:15Speaker 7: because I went on tone because you can't. Don't threaten
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: me like that.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:15:21Speaker 15: But the wife is still asking should she trust him?
- 1:15:26Speaker 15: Is she being too understanding?
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: Well, because yes, there wasn't no shots fired or nothing
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: like that. That was That's a level of understanding that
- 1:15:38Speaker 7: I would hope to achieve.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Of course, a cheating husband.
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: You know, you ain't get You ain't got to move,
- 1:15:45Speaker 7: you ain't got to go find an apartment. You ain't
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: getting no papers delivered to you. You're lucky, bro, You're
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: real lucky. Now for her?
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Is she being too understanding?
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: That's for her.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I can't tell her what to do. I'm not you know,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I mean, mm hmm call it. That's not how she

- 1:16:19Speaker 12: to the woman and tell her to release my husband.
- 1:16:24Speaker 12: You need to say, that's so sweet and nice?
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: What really nice? Yeah, that's real.

- 1:16:50Speaker 7: with her? What are he gonna gonna tell her to
- 1:16:52Speaker 7: release you? And you don't want to be released?
- 1:16:55Speaker 12: Yeah, that's what the wife wants to know. Is he
- 1:16:59Speaker 12: should she trust that he's going to end the affair
- 1:17:01Speaker 12: with her? Go ahead of trust, friend, seeing you're too nice?
- 1:17:11Speaker 12: All right, we have time for another one. This is
- 1:17:13Speaker 12: from Dre in the DMV. Dre says, I have a
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: king scientist, king sized bed for a reason, but my
- 1:17:19Speaker 12: girlfriend doesn't respect my space. She loves to put her
- 1:17:22Speaker 12: head on my chest, or she'll ask me to put
- 1:17:24Speaker 12: my leg across hers. If I move around, she scoots
- 1:17:28Speaker 12: back into my personal space. I have shoved her in
- 1:17:32Speaker 12: my sleep and I rolled over on her a few
- 1:17:35Speaker 12: few times. We don't sleep at her place because she
- 1:17:39Speaker 12: has a queen bed. This is a deal breaker? How
- 1:17:42Speaker 12: do I keep her off of me?
- 1:17:44Speaker 11: What?
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Yes? Break for?
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Wow? Wow?
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: This is a deal mean sleeper. I mean it's a
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: deal breaker. They're not in love?
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: He not no, no, no, he not a man is
- 1:17:58Speaker 7: in love with you? And work it out how you
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: should work it out. I don't know, but it's a deal, bro.
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: How can I keep her off me? Watch y'all quit
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: sleeping together?
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Try that?
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Or is he a big guy? Not necessarily if I
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: move around? Okay, she's a cuddler, he's not. Yeah, he's
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: just not. He doesn't want to touching today. Yeah, he's not. Yeah,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: and she is. Yeah, they need to break up. This
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: is a deal breaker. It's no way to tell your
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: woman you don't want her touching you at night.
- 1:18:36Speaker 15: At night you're asleep.
- 1:18:38Speaker 12: But he did say he could roll over her on
- 1:18:40Speaker 12: her All right, coming up, we'll have more of the
- 1:18:44Speaker 12: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to

- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Call I got here it is right now, Hi Steve.
- 1:25:47Speaker 20: My name is Sandra, and I'm calling from the DC
- 1:25:51Speaker 20: or the DMV area.
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:25:53Speaker 20: So my question is, please don't take a pint to this.
- 1:25:56Speaker 20: But my question is I listened to your morning show
- 1:26:01Speaker 20: every day pretty much, and I always listen to your
- 1:26:06Speaker 20: words of encouragement after the show. I want to know
- 1:26:09Speaker 20: what makes you the expert to feel like you can
- 1:26:12Speaker 20: say these words of encouragement to people. Are these things
- 1:26:16Speaker 20: that you've been through? Are these things that your family
- 1:26:20Speaker 20: has been through? You know, give me a little insight
- 1:26:23Speaker 20: why you say the words of encouragement that you do.
- 1:26:25Speaker 20: So okay, still tell me.
- 1:26:27Speaker 11: I love them.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: After I heard that, I was kind of a little
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: set back, but not really even how I handled it earlier.
- 1:26:38Speaker 7: But after giving this some thought and listening to her
- 1:26:40Speaker 7: for the second time, I think, really what she's looking
- 1:26:43Speaker 7: for is just an insight. I think she's a fan
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: of the show. And then she even said and then
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: I missed this. I listen to your closing remarks every day,
- 1:26:54Speaker 7: and I think she's just trying to find out really
- 1:26:57Speaker 7: where it's coming from and what's behind it. So let
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: me share it with you what I think has happened
- 1:27:04Speaker 7: to me. I didn't always agree with the life God
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: was giving me. I didn't always agree with the hand
- 1:27:12Speaker 7: that I was dealt. I thought at times it was
- 1:27:15Speaker 7: a bit excessive. I thought that getting the marriage is
- 1:27:19Speaker 7: wrong was a mistake, mostly on my part. But I
- 1:27:22Speaker 7: thought he could have stepped in. But then I learned
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: that I didn't ask him to step in. I thought
- 1:27:29Speaker 7: that living in the car for three years was a
- 1:27:31Speaker 7: bit excessive, but I needed that time. As I look
- 1:27:36Speaker 7: back on my life to discover some things about me.
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: I didn't understand growing up in poverty. I didn't understand
- 1:27:44Speaker 7: that my entire career I've been questioned at every level.
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: I didn't understand why I've had to do more in
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: my career than some of my counterparts who aren't black,
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: and I had to excel in ways to even get
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: a fraction of the pay that they get. I didn't
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: get it, but I do now. I understand completely what
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: has happened to me, and it's a realization that has
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: helped me because along the way, I had to learn
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: that my career was what I was paid for that.
- 1:28:16Speaker 7: My calling is what I was made for. All those
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: things that I didn't have an understanding of that God
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: was doing for me.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: He was making me. I didn't know it. He was
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: shaping me, he was molding me.
- 1:28:30Speaker 7: He was preparing me for a day when I could
- 1:28:34Speaker 7: honor him in my opening remarks of my show, in
- 1:28:39Speaker 7: my closing remarks of the show, where I could bear
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: witness to His goodness, his grace in my life, his
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: mercy in my life, his forgiveness in my life.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: All the times I remember my mama's.
- 1:28:52Speaker 7: Teaching to me as a Sunday school teacher for forty years,
- 1:28:56Speaker 7: I remember all those messages keep coming back, and I've
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: learned these lessons over and over and over again, and
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: I learned them through experience, through trial and error.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: So to answer your question, yeah, that's exactly why.
- 1:29:11Speaker 7: I feel like I'm able to share these things because
- 1:29:14Speaker 7: I've been through almost everything that I talk about.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: I've had a full run, man, I really have.
- 1:29:20Speaker 7: My sixty five years has been packed, crowded, jam chocked
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: full of experiences, to the point where I decided that
- 1:29:33Speaker 7: instead of at the end of the day just joking
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: my way out every night, that I would share with
- 1:29:38Speaker 7: somebody who might be going through some similar trials and
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: challenges that I've gone through, and just give them some antidotes,
- 1:29:45Speaker 7: some scriptures, some measures, some principles that I've learned over
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: the years that has helped and aided me through some
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: of the difficult times of my life because I've been
- 1:29:55Speaker 7: through what most people go through. Nah, I had a
- 1:29:58Speaker 7: two parent family home, so I don't know what it
- 1:30:02Speaker 7: is not to have a father. But I've been around
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: enough people that don't have fathers to realize that, hey, man,
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: that's got to be hard. Because if I didn't have
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: my daddy, and I was looking at him in that
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: casket at forty three, and I was sitting up here realizing,
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: there's no way I would have been who I was
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: it wasn't for.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: That man right there.
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: That experience right there caused me to start the foundation
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: to help single mothers raise their boys without the aid
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: of a father in the house. That tragedy in my life,
- 1:30:32Speaker 7: I turned it into a purpose all my life. I
- 1:30:36Speaker 7: can point to you all this stuff, and the only
- 1:30:39Speaker 7: reason you can come to this conclusion that I've come
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: to that you've got to open yourself up to the
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: will of God, you got to really talk to God
- 1:30:48Speaker 7: about your purpose. Because I've often said this, the two
- 1:30:52Speaker 7: most important days of your life is the day you born,
- 1:30:55Speaker 7: in the day you discover why. I had enough sense
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: and wisdom to ask, all, why why Lord did you
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: make me? Why did you cause me to go through this?
- 1:31:06Speaker 7: Why have you allowed me to reach the hight side?
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: Reach?
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: And he slowly started turning the pages and say, because
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: I made you for this, I want you.
- 1:31:14Speaker 7: To turn around. I want you to share this information.
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: I want you to teach this to people. I want
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: you to tell somebody about me. That's why I'm qualified
- 1:31:22Speaker 7: to do the closing remarks. That's exactly why. Thank you
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: for your call, ma'am. And I don't take offense to
- 1:31:29Speaker 7: it at all. Those are my clothes remarks. And see
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: right there, I've grown up to a better person because
- 1:31:34Speaker 7: twenty years ago I didne lit your up.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: And thank you for calling. She knows you, though she listens,
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: she's twenty years ago. Boy, look what God has done
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: for me. I have a great day talking to God, y'all.
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: He loved to hear from me.
- 1:32:00Speaker 18: For all.
