- 1:42Speaker 1: them out. Got to turn out to turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come come on your baby, Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shore will good morning everybody, y'all listen to the VARs.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, man on man on man. Grateful
- 2:14Speaker 1: for it comes with a huge amount of responsibility. I
- 2:18Speaker 1: didn't really know I was gonna have to be this responsible,
- 2:21Speaker 1: you know. Um, can I share something with y'all? I
- 2:24Speaker 1: started out to Finally I had gotten on track and
- 2:28Speaker 1: was able to see a way to even pursue my dream.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It has been a long, a long trip that I've
- 2:36Speaker 1: been on, and I've gone through so many phases of it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It is rewarding along the way to accomplish your dreams.
- 2:45Speaker 1: What I'm saying is this, let me, let me put
- 2:48Speaker 1: it together, because I got so much running through my
- 2:50Speaker 1: head right now. You know it's it's one thing to
- 2:53Speaker 1: accomplish your dream, but there's joy in the process of
- 2:59Speaker 1: achieving it. See, some people are so caught up in
- 3:03Speaker 1: the goal, the final goal, that they find no joy,
- 3:09Speaker 1: no enjoyment in the process. If you have found what
- 3:15Speaker 1: it is you want to do and you strike out
- 3:19Speaker 1: on that journey, please understand you are far more blessed
- 3:24Speaker 1: than the average person to know what it is you
- 3:28Speaker 1: really want to do, to find your work in life,
- 3:32Speaker 1: your purpose, to find out what direction you want to
- 3:37Speaker 1: go in is such a blessing. The average person if
- 3:41Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to them, oftentimes don't have
- 3:45Speaker 1: their life on track. And it'd be some people that
- 3:47Speaker 1: you're looking at you think God it going on because
- 3:50Speaker 1: of their appearance, their swagger, or they walk like it,
- 3:54Speaker 1: they talk like it, they look like it. But if
- 3:56Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to the average person, the
- 3:59Speaker 1: average person man does not know what their purpose is,
- 4:04Speaker 1: has not discovered what they want to do, and have
- 4:08Speaker 1: no idea how to get there. If you are on
- 4:10Speaker 1: the other side of that, if you understand your purpose,
- 4:15Speaker 1: if you have an idea of what you want to be,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and you are on your way there, you are truly blessed,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and in that blessing, you must recognize it as a blessing.
- 4:27Speaker 1: You must recognize the fact that you are on the
- 4:32Speaker 1: right side, and that there should be a sense of
- 4:34Speaker 1: accomplishment and a feeling of pride in you that you
- 4:39Speaker 1: are on track to accomplish your goal. See what used
- 4:43Speaker 1: to happen was sometimes I used to keep my nose
- 4:46Speaker 1: so on the grindstone that I wouldn't even look up
- 4:50Speaker 1: and realize. Man, hey, man, I know you're trying to
- 4:53Speaker 1: get here, but Steve, hold on, man, can't you see
- 4:57Speaker 1: what you've done so far? Can't you find there's some
- 5:00Speaker 1: joy in the process. See, a lot of us lose
- 5:03Speaker 1: the joy of the blessings God has given us because
- 5:06Speaker 1: we're looking at the end. Tomot, I ain't there yet.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You on your way. I'm gonna give you an example.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I had a friend who told me that they wanted
- 5:16Speaker 1: to be a million now, and they asked me some
- 5:19Speaker 1: questions and I told him, so they started the process,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and I am telling you, this dude works extremely hard.
- 5:30Speaker 1: So about a year later we were talking. He had
- 5:34Speaker 1: found this business, he had set his goal, and he
- 5:41Speaker 1: was working towards it. Then about two years later I
- 5:44Speaker 1: ran up into him again. We were talking about it
- 5:46Speaker 1: and everything. It's a man, really really appreciate the advice.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He said, Man, but this is all jacked up, man,
- 5:53Speaker 1: because I still ain't made that million I was talking about.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I said, well, hey, man, just just keep at it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It's coming. He's a man. Keep at it. Man. You
- 6:02Speaker 1: know how long I've been doing this? Been two years now.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And I didn't say that to him, but I said
- 6:07Speaker 1: to myself, yeah, two years. He said, Man, I've been
- 6:10Speaker 1: grinding so long. Man, it's just it ain't having it
- 6:13Speaker 1: from me. I said, wait a minute, man, hold on,
- 6:16Speaker 1: hold on. I said, about how much you're making right
- 6:19Speaker 1: now a year, man, about two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I quit breathing. I said, well, my man, two years
- 6:29Speaker 1: ago you didn't have a clue. Two years later, you're
- 6:34Speaker 1: making a quarter of a million dollars. I said, man,
- 6:38Speaker 1: do you understand how blessed you are? I said, man,
- 6:41Speaker 1: your family was about to get put out two years ago.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You don't bought a house? Yeah, man, but this ain't
- 6:49Speaker 1: the house. I really won't. Oh Pardner, whoa I got that?
- 6:53Speaker 1: I got that house. You really won't make Mike call
- 6:56Speaker 1: five eight million. I don't know. But man, all got
- 7:00Speaker 1: a house, you're making a payments, you drive it. You
- 7:02Speaker 1: ain't out no more? I said, hold, man, you got
- 7:04Speaker 1: to stop. I said, you got to stop. I said, man,
- 7:07Speaker 1: because right now, man, you you coming across as real
- 7:09Speaker 1: ungrateful to me. And so he said, man, why are
- 7:12Speaker 1: you tripping like that? Man? Man, you act like don't
- 7:15Speaker 1: nobody want to have nothing but you? I said, whoa man?
- 7:17Speaker 1: Where are you going with this conversation? I said, Oh,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I didn't come to you. I just came to you
- 7:21Speaker 1: and ask you how you doing. And I'm trying to
- 7:23Speaker 1: point out to you that the journey that you started on,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that you are on your way, and you are in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the process of accomplishing your goals. And can you not
- 7:32Speaker 1: feel some joy and some pleasure in your accomplishment. Quit
- 7:37Speaker 1: tripping on the fact that you ain't made a million yet.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You on your way. You don't went from your He thought,
- 7:42Speaker 1: this dude was making fifteen thousand dollars a year. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: making quarter of a million dollars in two years. May
- 7:46Speaker 1: come on, man, can't you see? Can't you see? So
- 7:50Speaker 1: he said eventually a man, I kind of see what
- 7:53Speaker 1: you're saying. But that ain't about nothing to me because
- 7:55Speaker 1: I ran up into him a year and a half later.
- 8:00Speaker 1: How you doing, man, Man, I show wish I'd appreciate
- 8:04Speaker 1: it my life when I had it like that? I said,
- 8:06Speaker 1: what you mean, had it like that? Man? Just fell
- 8:09Speaker 1: on some hard times. Man, I'm right back why I was.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And then we talked. I said, hey, man, don't worry
- 8:16Speaker 1: about it. I said, Once you know how to accomplish something,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I said, you just reapply the same principles and start
- 8:20Speaker 1: on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
- 8:23Speaker 1: to be to start over. Okay, my man, Hold up, partner,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you can't do yourself like this again. First you wasn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
- 8:32Speaker 1: fact that you might have to start over, and you
- 8:33Speaker 1: know how hard it is to start over. Maybe God said, okay,
- 8:39Speaker 1: you ain't happy with this, Okay, didn't handle it your way?
- 8:42Speaker 1: You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
- 8:45Speaker 1: into your life. You want to handle it your weight,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Go ahead and handle it, because he will let you
- 8:49Speaker 1: have it your way. Can I tell you that he
- 8:51Speaker 1: will let you do it exactly the way you want
- 8:53Speaker 1: to it? Because he gives us all the power of choice.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
- 8:59Speaker 1: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
- 9:01Speaker 1: showing you. You think it's take it too long. I'm
- 9:03Speaker 1: gonna let you do it your way. I'm not gonna
- 9:05Speaker 1: turn my back on you. I'm just gonna let you
- 9:07Speaker 1: do it your way. Just just say. Maybe he said that,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and now he right back where it was. So what
- 9:13Speaker 1: I try to get the young cat to understand was, man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: appreciate your life for what it is. Because like life,
- 9:20Speaker 1: Jenny's got that song that he got out off this album.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Still I still believe it could have been worse. And
- 9:27Speaker 1: now that it is worse, what's on your mind now, folks,
- 9:31Speaker 1: If you are on that side of life where you
- 9:34Speaker 1: have figured out what you want to do, you know
- 9:36Speaker 1: how you're gonna get that, and you know your purpose.
- 9:38Speaker 1: You're accomplishing what the majority of people never ever do.
- 9:42Speaker 1: So be grateful for your process. Don't tumble yourself, don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: throw yourself off to cliff It's gonna be all right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Success takes a measure of time. It is not easy.
- 9:53Speaker 1: If success were easy, everybody would be successful, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: may have your undivided attention. Please. You are listening to
- 10:07Speaker 1: the baddest morning show in the land. I've said that before,
- 10:10Speaker 1: but obviously there's some haters out there that didn't took
- 10:13Speaker 1: it the wrong way. I said, well, how you want
- 10:16Speaker 1: us to feel about us? What you want us to
- 10:19Speaker 1: tell us? Were about third or something? No, just the
- 10:23Speaker 1: baddest morning show. You why everybody else said, you're listening
- 10:28Speaker 1: to the baddest show in the world, which proves you've
- 10:31Speaker 1: got good taste. That's called generic. This is called original.
- 10:37Speaker 1: We is who we is, Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Harvey
- 10:42Speaker 1: Morning Show, Good morning, Shirley. We are who we are, Steve.

- 10:58Speaker 1: is who we eat is hell? Oh we finished straightened
- 11:03Speaker 1: out Junior Morning. We is who the hell? That's what
- 11:08Speaker 1: I thought. Now, ladies and gentlemen and the food wiels
- 11:13Speaker 1: how he said, weeds looked at it out the glass
- 11:17Speaker 1: eye or the natural eye or the blind eye. Badest

- 11:59Speaker 1: of it. Steve Harvey Morning Show is growing by leaps
- 12:03Speaker 1: and bounds. Thank you so much, Thank you so much.
- 12:08Speaker 1: We love you. Are you on the stage right now?
- 12:12Speaker 1: I think you are myself? Yeah, everybody knows, so I
- 12:18Speaker 1: just thought i'd do it. Oh man, had they asked
- 12:23Speaker 1: about Tommy yet? I know you know what they did?
- 12:28Speaker 1: They did? They did Tommy. They asked about Tommy today.
- 12:34Speaker 1: What they say? A matter of fact, the president of
- 12:38Speaker 1: Boswanna asked about you about that boy? The President of
- 12:46Speaker 1: bud Wanna asked about you today? What say day? That's
- 12:50Speaker 1: what we want to know. What you think what he's say?
- 12:52Speaker 1: He said? Is it true, your excellency, it's what true?
- 13:00Speaker 1: He said? Is that such a fool? He said? What
- 13:03Speaker 1: do you mean? He said, is that such a fool like?
- 13:12Speaker 1: He said, I have heard that you have a nephew.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Come on here, that is slow and I said, yes, no, excellent, No,
- 13:27Speaker 1: your excellency, all right, look hold that thought. Steve from Stephen,
- 13:37Speaker 1: Botswana coming up at thirty two after the hour, right
- 13:41Speaker 1: after this you're listening to all right, Steve. When we
- 13:48Speaker 1: went out for break, you were telling us that's that
- 13:50Speaker 1: the president of Botswana where you are right now, over
- 13:53Speaker 1: in the continent of Africa. The president, your excellency, the
- 13:57Speaker 1: President of Botswana, asked about your nephew Tommy what. So
- 14:02Speaker 1: we had it going back and forth, and I helped
- 14:05Speaker 1: him out because he said he had heard about my
- 14:07Speaker 1: nephew and asked if he had heard it. Was he slow?
- 14:11Speaker 1: And I said, I'm not slow. I know you fixed
- 14:15Speaker 1: that part, didn't you. He asked me, was you slow?
- 14:18Speaker 1: And I said what do you mean? He said, because
- 14:21Speaker 1: I saw the video of him Rason Junior, And I said, yeah, yes,
- 14:29Speaker 1: he slow night. Yeah, he knew you too, Julian. He
- 14:37Speaker 1: was fast the time I got to get over there
- 14:41Speaker 1: and talk to so tim me your video to win
- 14:45Speaker 1: viral and at least he asked about you. Look at
- 14:52Speaker 1: the other. That's it, Tommy, because listen to me. See
- 14:59Speaker 1: you wanted to be famous, so you have to remember
- 15:02Speaker 1: what I had to learn, the lesson. When you ask
- 15:04Speaker 1: God for something, you got to be careful because he
- 15:07Speaker 1: might give it to you. I asked God to increase
- 15:11Speaker 1: my global brand and persona. What did he do? He
- 15:14Speaker 1: had me say the wrong name at the Miss Universe
- 15:17Speaker 1: Paget and my name was four billion times in forty
- 15:22Speaker 1: eight hours. Not what I asked you, falling off, but
- 15:28Speaker 1: clearly that's what he gave. So now you want people
- 15:31Speaker 1: talking about you and your videos is gone via abank Man. Yeah,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and I take it. And that was one hell of
- 15:42Speaker 1: a Dan Vegas, wasn't it, Man Vegas Paget. No, that
- 15:50Speaker 1: was one day. Well, but I've never seen black people
- 15:54Speaker 1: get together so fast. It was only eight of us.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I need to do that more of unified that night
- 16:03Speaker 1: there because we had to get out of that with
- 16:05Speaker 1: our lives. Something really take me off. Even the lady
- 16:14Speaker 1: that ruined it, messed it up. She gonna cut her
- 16:18Speaker 1: eyes at me when I was man, everybody, the blame
- 16:21Speaker 1: game has begun. Yeah, they was on top of your ball.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Wow remember that? Yeah? But next day we're ald famous. Yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 1: but look at you now, Yeah, that's remarks. It's gonna
- 16:41Speaker 1: be something that somebody sent me. So remind me got
- 16:45Speaker 1: you because what you ask God for it comes in
- 16:49Speaker 1: in a different way, but it comes though, and it's
- 16:53Speaker 1: something somebody sent me. I'm gonna share with y'all in
- 16:55Speaker 1: the closing remarks down. Okay, man, it's it's so beautiful
- 16:59Speaker 1: over Just ask you how's the weather. Tell us about it? Yeah,
- 17:04Speaker 1: well it's winter over here. Okay, the opposite seasons, right, yeah, yeah,
- 17:10Speaker 1: it was all here. But I mean it ain't bad.
- 17:13Speaker 1: You know, night to get a little cool, but it's not.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I figured it figures about like you know, fifties, low sixties.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Morning it's still a little nippy, but then it warms up.
- 17:26Speaker 1: You know, it ain't winter like. It ain't Chicago winter bird.
- 17:30Speaker 1: In case you don't know, In case you do not know,
- 17:34Speaker 1: it's snows in Africa. That are ski resorts in Africa. Okay,
- 17:41Speaker 1: I have a picture of giraffe walking in snow. Beautiful.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It's so different, you know, for what we're taught, the
- 17:51Speaker 1: propaganda about the motherland and where we're all from, it's
- 17:55Speaker 1: such propaganda y'all. I'm telling you, it's not that you
- 18:00Speaker 1: see the neighborhood, you see all of the things. Okay, look,
- 18:03Speaker 1: this is what I want to ask you. Do you
- 18:06Speaker 1: feel like I've heard a lot of people say this
- 18:09Speaker 1: when they've gone to Africa. I've never been. Do you
- 18:12Speaker 1: feel like home, like it's your home, like you're at
- 18:15Speaker 1: home that we did that I know you do. You
- 18:22Speaker 1: cannot be an African and come here and not feel
- 18:28Speaker 1: at peace or warmth and the exhilaration of being home.
- 18:32Speaker 1: If you're Jamaican, your African, if you if if you
- 18:37Speaker 1: from Saint Thomas, the Caribbean, your African. If you're from
- 18:41Speaker 1: the Bahamas, you African. You're from Brooklyn, you African. I'm
- 18:46Speaker 1: telling you. And when you come here, it's it's it's
- 18:49Speaker 1: the feeling that you have to experience. Every African American,
- 18:56Speaker 1: every African person of this sent hey, Saint Thomas, the Caribbeans,
- 19:03Speaker 1: all of that. You have to come here because this
- 19:07Speaker 1: is where you're from and it is one of the
- 19:10Speaker 1: most beautiful feeling and it is nothing like we've been taught.
- 19:15Speaker 1: What's it like now? Does it have some problems? But
- 19:18Speaker 1: can I ask you a question? Don't America have some
- 19:20Speaker 1: problems at soul, but it's not at the level that
- 19:28Speaker 1: they tell you it is. Everybody's not hungry, everybody's not
- 19:32Speaker 1: at war, and everybody don't have flies on. That's that's
- 19:36Speaker 1: that's a false picture. The economy is booming in a
- 19:40Speaker 1: lot of these nations over here. Uh. Education in Botswana, man,
- 19:45Speaker 1: do you know that these children get free educations? Everybody
- 19:49Speaker 1: over here is educated that wants to be Wow. Free education,
- 19:54Speaker 1: It's amazing. It's a beautiful thing. It's amazing it. And
- 20:00Speaker 1: you say, they know you over there as well, right,
- 20:03Speaker 1: they know you're Steve Harvey. Well, I put some videos up.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna put some videos. Yeah you know, I'm gonna
- 20:18Speaker 1: show you some stuff they know. Okay, all right, thank
- 20:21Speaker 1: I'm Michael Jackson. All right, Well, coming up next, the
- 20:26Speaker 1: nephew is here who he seems to think he's known
- 20:29Speaker 1: over there in Africa as well. He's gonna be he's
- 20:34Speaker 1: gonna be back. You are a King of Franks, and
- 20:36Speaker 1: you're gonna be back with run that Frank back right
- 20:38Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show coming up at the
- 20:44Speaker 1: top of the hour Entertainment News. It seems Katie Holmes
- 20:48Speaker 1: was the one who ended the relationship with Jamie Fox
- 20:51Speaker 1: and the billboard actress gets a Roland Tyler Perry's show.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Remember the young woman who put her billboard up and
- 20:59Speaker 1: asked for a job, Well, she has a role in
- 21:01Speaker 1: Tyler Perry's show. But first, the nephew is here with
- 21:04Speaker 1: today's run that prank back. Yes, you are a king,
- 21:07Speaker 1: that king of pranks. What you got now? Weed in
- 21:11Speaker 1: the church band? What are you saying? We in the
- 21:20Speaker 1: church band. Let's run that thing cat dog Weed in
- 21:22Speaker 1: the church band. Won't you come? Invitation? Hello, I'm trying
- 21:33Speaker 1: to reach Dann brother Brother Dan Dan. Hello, Hello, cousin,
- 21:37Speaker 1: see you that I'm trying to read brother Dare Brother Dan? Oh? Okay, Yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: there's brother Scott from the church from Belt to Baptist. Hello, brother, Yeah,
- 21:49Speaker 1: I call you. I'm trying to get a little information
- 21:52Speaker 1: about the church band. What's what's your schedule? Uh? Will
- 21:56Speaker 1: you drive the church man? What's what's your schedule? I
- 21:59Speaker 1: love Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays. Okay, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, now Sunday.
- 22:08Speaker 1: What is that schedule? Oh, Sunday. I usually start about
- 22:12Speaker 1: eight o'clock in the morning. Probably a little earlier, depending
- 22:15Speaker 1: on some of the elderly people that I had to
- 22:17Speaker 1: go pick up and bring to the church. Make sure
- 22:20Speaker 1: they get there okay, and get situated and make sure
- 22:23Speaker 1: they're on time for the service and whatnot. Okay, and
- 22:27Speaker 1: then you take them back home after service is over. Yes,
- 22:31Speaker 1: I try to get all of them back home, unless
- 22:32Speaker 1: they got family members or something that come up there
- 22:34Speaker 1: and meet them up there and want to take them
- 22:36Speaker 1: to Jenna or sun afterwards. But I usually get about
- 22:39Speaker 1: it back home, okay. Okay. Now, this class Sunday, which
- 22:45Speaker 1: is part of the reason why I'm calling me, They
- 22:48Speaker 1: saying that some of the church members that was on
- 22:52Speaker 1: the band this Sunday, they are complaining, saying that that
- 22:58Speaker 1: the church band was spending like weed when they got
- 23:01Speaker 1: on there. Excuse me, they say the church van was
- 23:06Speaker 1: spending like weed when they got on there. And you
- 23:09Speaker 1: are the person that was driving. No, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 23:13Speaker 1: not not the van that that I'm driving. So I
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't no, I don't. I ain't smoke weed, and no van,
- 23:19Speaker 1: do you smoke weed? No? I don't smoke weed. I
- 23:24Speaker 1: mean not Carly, I mean I have before, but I
- 23:26Speaker 1: don't smoke weed now, and I wouldn't smoke weed before picking.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Some people love to go to. Now where you carry from?
- 23:33Speaker 1: Who told you this? Well? All I knew is what what?
- 23:36Speaker 1: What's coming down? The pipeline is? They saying that a
- 23:40Speaker 1: couple of the numbers came complaining this just happened last
- 23:45Speaker 1: week about this pipeline. I want to know who the
- 23:47Speaker 1: pipeline is because just last week they came and me
- 23:50Speaker 1: talking about that I was using the van to go
- 23:52Speaker 1: places that I wanted to go to on my personal time.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Now I don't do that. I don't do stuff like that.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Now I have had a pass, I don't had a history,
- 23:59Speaker 1: but I don't do stuff like that, and I wouldn't
- 24:01Speaker 1: smoking No church fan, So are you seriously talking? What? What? What? What? What?
- 24:06Speaker 1: We're trying to We're trying to get to the bottom
- 24:08Speaker 1: of it and see what's going on with you. Sulderly
- 24:12Speaker 1: person said, do you know which one? Don't they loved me?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Every Sunday Thedn't people tell me they loved me. They
- 24:19Speaker 1: say I'm one of the most respectful young gentlemen they've
- 24:21Speaker 1: ever met in their life. And so I really find
- 24:23Speaker 1: it hard to believe that you you you getting these
- 24:25Speaker 1: type of complaints about me what I'm saying, like, oh,
- 24:29Speaker 1: we I don't know what that means or nothing like that. Look, brothers, now,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I don't know you too well, and I know you
- 24:35Speaker 1: don't know leave. But I've been driving this van as
- 24:38Speaker 1: as a point to try to change my life and
- 24:40Speaker 1: where I come from. So this was was something that
- 24:43Speaker 1: I wanted to volunteer even though I'm getting paid to
- 24:46Speaker 1: give my time to do this for the church. And
- 24:48Speaker 1: now this is like the second instance where y'all and
- 24:50Speaker 1: came at me on some stuff about like I'm trying
- 24:53Speaker 1: to do something with this van. Now, why would I
- 24:55Speaker 1: disrespect the church van by smoking weed in it and
- 24:57Speaker 1: then letting the weeds stay in There's so other people
- 25:00Speaker 1: the smelling. Okay, so let me tell you what we're
- 25:02Speaker 1: gonna do. We're gonna go out here to the church.

- 25:07Speaker 1: open it up. Now, if we see any seeds or
- 25:10Speaker 1: anything around the driver's seat, then that then then we're
- 25:15Speaker 1: gonna We're gonna definitely, uh have point gonna open the
- 25:18Speaker 1: van up. Man, I was raising that church. Man, My
- 25:20Speaker 1: mamma go to that church. My grandma. See you go
- 25:23Speaker 1: to that church, see the reason we even all left
- 25:25Speaker 1: that church. And you think I'm gonna mess up they
- 25:27Speaker 1: ain't by driving around in the band full of elderly
- 25:29Speaker 1: people smoking and do what I doing like weed? Brother, Dad,
- 25:34Speaker 1: I don't know how to su band smell like weed. Man,
- 25:38Speaker 1: Now I don't. I don't got the answers to these questions.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you that it wasn't me.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Did you ask some weed in your pocket? Admitted it
- 25:44Speaker 1: with your smelling? I ain't had no weed on me.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Stop trying to say like I had weed on me
- 25:49Speaker 1: and you ain't gonna get me nothing that I ain't
- 25:51Speaker 1: had no and we ain't had no weed on me. Okay, Now,
- 25:53Speaker 1: you ain't gonna mess up my name or my family's
- 25:55Speaker 1: name in this church and disrespect us like this. Now,
- 25:58Speaker 1: we've been helping this church for years, and I'm trying
- 26:01Speaker 1: to tell you that I ain't riding around and no
- 26:03Speaker 1: fans smoking no weed with no elderly people. Did you
- 26:06Speaker 1: ask any of the elderly people if they had any
- 26:07Speaker 1: weed on them? U? No, we didn't. No, No, I
- 26:12Speaker 1: didn't think about no elderly people having no weed so
- 26:16Speaker 1: you just assume it's me. What one of them? Guy
- 26:18Speaker 1: got coma or something? What? What? What? You know? What?
- 26:22Speaker 1: You know? Who? I think? What? Did you know? Who?

- 42:15Speaker 1: have you ever been praying and ask God to give
- 42:17Speaker 1: somebody's stroke right there so you go and kiss him? Yeah,
- 42:23Speaker 1: I know, really stroke, I've asked him to actually shut
- 42:28Speaker 1: down somebody whole left side. You want to hear, you
- 42:34Speaker 1: want to mount about Hey, hey, this is true. I
- 42:40Speaker 1: left a basketball game after high school one time and
- 42:44Speaker 1: the guy robbed me coming out of business corner. And
- 42:47Speaker 1: that was the first time I asked large. I asked
- 42:50Speaker 1: God to strike somebody. Dad. Yeah, wrong, and I had
- 42:57Speaker 1: nine dollars. Nine dollars, So glad you're a change I
- 43:01Speaker 1: thought that would be a good time to ask the
- 43:03Speaker 1: Lord to do something for me, just as of course
- 43:06Speaker 1: he did that and he ran off with the nine again.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I'm so glad you're a changed man. So glad? Oh
- 43:20Speaker 1: he is he better be from that? Have you ever
- 43:23Speaker 1: thought the wrong thing at the wrong turn question? Yeah?
- 43:29Speaker 1: You know, yeah, yeah, okay, I didn't been, I didn't
- 43:34Speaker 1: been naked and ran out into the living room and
- 43:36Speaker 1: didn't known about it was in there, and ask could
- 43:38Speaker 1: they just be blind right now? Just be to not
- 43:42Speaker 1: see all this? I didn't had a six crisis. Ask
- 43:46Speaker 1: the nerd that came in the room. I asked the lord,
- 43:50Speaker 1: could you please please ustakes because my gown it's too much? Yeah,
- 43:59Speaker 1: my gown, I suffered, not I am does she have case?
- 44:03Speaker 1: She weren't here at night? If that row past, I've
- 44:06Speaker 1: actually unplugged myself. All right, wow, all right, Coming up next, nephew,

- 44:16Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show coming up at

- 44:24Speaker 1: it's my strawberry letter for today's subject. He wants to

- 48:01Speaker 1: I need you to be able to see what you're doing.
- 48:03Speaker 1: I mean, I don't care about you bein't able to
- 48:04Speaker 1: cut no apt being blind. You got to be able
- 48:07Speaker 1: to see to do that. This could probably do to
- 48:09Speaker 1: do wonder for your shot. People to come from miles
- 48:12Speaker 1: around to see somethbody like myself cutting the hair that
- 48:16Speaker 1: kind of in my shot? Did you hear what I said?
- 48:19Speaker 1: I heard what you said? What I don't want you
- 48:21Speaker 1: to do it make me mad about this? Now you're
- 48:23Speaker 1: gonna get mad about something a bit blown to me
- 48:26Speaker 1: I'm offering and you can't read it that you're blind doctor.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I can't help you when you run man came on

- 49:00Speaker 1: One thing you know where you might keep going with
- 49:03Speaker 1: my shot, you're gonna you're gonna get you what by

- 49:28Speaker 1: discriminated law, you can call anybody you want to call.
- 49:33Speaker 1: That's money. You're not gonna do that. You understand what
- 49:37Speaker 1: I'm telling you. Now you bring you now that time
- 49:39Speaker 1: I couldn't haney. I'll be waiting on you. I'm I'm

- 54:04Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry letter subject he wants
- 54:08Speaker 1: to skip the best part here Stephen Shirley, I am
- 54:12Speaker 1: a seventy year old woman with raging hormones like a
- 54:15Speaker 1: thirty year old. I love making love to a man
- 54:19Speaker 1: that knows what he is doing between the sheets. I
- 54:24Speaker 1: met this man about a year ago from an online
- 54:27Speaker 1: dating site. After five months of talking on the phone,
- 54:31Speaker 1: we decided to get together. Now. I've always thought of
- 54:34Speaker 1: love making as an art, and if you are not
- 54:37Speaker 1: an artist, I am not looking for a painter. I
- 54:40Speaker 1: know my performance is very artistic, or so I have
- 54:44Speaker 1: been told. I like variety, nothing too kinky, but a
- 54:48Speaker 1: little variety. I told my boyfriend that he will get
- 54:51Speaker 1: quality if he gives quality. I am big on getting
- 54:56Speaker 1: things started in the right way and not just jump
- 55:00Speaker 1: being right to it. My boyfriend started out doing the
- 55:03Speaker 1: pregame show, but now he wants to get to the
- 55:06Speaker 1: main attraction right away. His stamina is wonderful, so there
- 55:10Speaker 1: are no complaints there. I constantly wear sexy lingerie and
- 55:14Speaker 1: he compliments me on it, but he doesn't take time
- 55:18Speaker 1: to enjoy the presentation and unwrap the package. He is
- 55:22Speaker 1: a good man, very loving and giving, and he is
- 55:25Speaker 1: even talking about marriage. I would love to marry him,
- 55:28Speaker 1: but I need to know that he is willing to
- 55:31Speaker 1: romanticize me and keep it passionate and not just do
- 55:36Speaker 1: a wham bam, thank you man type of deal. Stephen Shirley,
- 55:40Speaker 1: how can I get him to take his time and
- 55:42Speaker 1: not just jump in. Well, I'm gonna say this. I
- 55:47Speaker 1: do like the fact that even at seventy years old,
- 55:50Speaker 1: you're still being a boss in the bedroom. Okay, you
- 55:53Speaker 1: say you have hormones of a thirty year old. I
- 55:55Speaker 1: like that. I like that you know what you want
- 55:57Speaker 1: and all of that. I think the problem with you
- 56:00Speaker 1: who is you're You're not on the same page, You're
- 56:02Speaker 1: on different pages. Any smart man knows that women love
- 56:07Speaker 1: the build up. We love the romance of it all.
- 56:10Speaker 1: We love the pregame show as you call it. All
- 56:13Speaker 1: of that for play is essential for women. We get
- 56:16Speaker 1: that part, yes we do. But every single time, though,
- 56:19Speaker 1: every single time, you gotta have a big pregame show
- 56:22Speaker 1: and all of that. No, ma'am, just real life just
- 56:25Speaker 1: doesn't work like that. I'm sorry, and this is real life.
- 56:29Speaker 1: It is not a game as you call it. Uh yeah,
- 56:33Speaker 1: you know, some people just want to get to the
- 56:34Speaker 1: main attraction. They really do. Uh. Sorry to disappoint you, man,
- 56:39Speaker 1: but that is how it goes in life. When we
- 56:42Speaker 1: get packages, I mean, think about it, you know, when
- 56:44Speaker 1: we do get gifts and packages sometimes think about Christmas.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Sometimes you unwrapid you know, fold up the wrapping paper
- 56:51Speaker 1: and fold the bow nice and neatly. And then sometimes
- 56:54Speaker 1: you're so excited you just tear into the package. You
- 56:57Speaker 1: just k the paper off, you know, you just snatch
- 57:01Speaker 1: the ball off. You do that. I mean, that's real life.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Huh yo, this woman is seventy steve with the hormones
- 57:12Speaker 1: of a thirty year old. Well, I don't know. Okay, anyway,
- 57:16Speaker 1: we just tear open the packages, we do, all right.
- 57:20Speaker 1: So I have to say this to you. You gotta
- 57:24Speaker 1: go with the flow. Okay, you gotta go with the flow.
- 57:27Speaker 1: It should not be the same every single time, it
- 57:30Speaker 1: just shouldn't. You gotta go with the mood of things.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Life is unpredictable at times, and so it's sex in
- 57:36Speaker 1: the bedroom and all that. So, um, you gotta you know,
- 57:41Speaker 1: be a little flexible here and think about that situation.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Sometimes you rip it off, sometimes you go slow. All right,
- 57:47Speaker 1: that's just how it is, Steve. Then, No, the letter
- 57:51Speaker 1: is not about being well, you know you was in
- 57:55Speaker 1: here talking about getting stuff ripped off. Let's go over
- 57:57Speaker 1: this letter. A package got a seventy. We got a
- 58:02Speaker 1: seventy year old woman that's living with the raging hormones
- 58:06Speaker 1: of a thirty year old. Now, let's just stop right
- 58:10Speaker 1: here for a seven. That's scary. Dog gone it, that's scary.
- 58:16Speaker 1: And if you're asking me, you're a little late fall
- 58:19Speaker 1: this year, you should have had the raging hormones of
- 58:22Speaker 1: a thirty year old when you're asked, was thirty? You're seventy,
- 58:26Speaker 1: Now you're seventy. Now I appreciate it because I'm playing
- 58:31Speaker 1: it on being, you know, around at seventy. But I
- 58:34Speaker 1: don't want to be like I was at thirty. For
- 58:37Speaker 1: the purpose of this letter, the lady says, I love
- 58:40Speaker 1: making love to a man that knows what he's doing
- 58:43Speaker 1: between the sheets. Well, hell, he's seventy. Out of hell,
- 58:47Speaker 1: he don't know what he's doing. If you ain't experienced
- 58:50Speaker 1: by seventy in the bedroom, you what what what would
- 58:56Speaker 1: you doing? You've had seventy years to get it right.
- 59:01Speaker 1: If you ain't doing it right right now, I'm sorry, Pardner.
- 59:04Speaker 1: You can push your chips up to the window now,
- 59:08Speaker 1: she said. I met this man by the year ago
- 59:10Speaker 1: on the old Line dating site, and after five months
- 59:13Speaker 1: of talking on the phone, we decided to get together.
- 59:16Speaker 1: She says. Now, I thought of love making as an
- 59:19Speaker 1: art and if you're not an artist, I'm not looking
- 59:22Speaker 1: for a painter. Now, let's analyze that line from this
- 59:27Speaker 1: seventy year old I thought of love making as art,
- 59:32Speaker 1: and if you're not an artist, I'm not looking for
- 59:35Speaker 1: a paint. Ain't that cute? I love that line. Ain't
- 59:39Speaker 1: that cute? I like that a lot too. That's real.
- 59:43Speaker 1: What the hell du that mean? Cute ass line? That's
- 59:49Speaker 1: the way to write a letter. But what the hell
- 59:51Speaker 1: we're talking about love making? Anybody tell about no damn
- 59:53Speaker 1: brushes and paint you seventy we're talking about old paint anyway.
- 59:59Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of getting things started the right
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: way and not just jumping right into it. My boyfriend
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: started out doing the pregame show, but now he wants
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: to get to the main attraction right away. When we
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: come back, come on. Let me explain to you why
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: he wants to get to it right away. All right,

- 1:00:47Speaker 1: all and with new seasons and final seasons starting soon,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I know I can keep up with all of them
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: on Hulu. And you know what else, Hulu has a

- 1:01:02Speaker 1: com and start your free trial and watch everything that
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Hulu has. All right, Steve, let's get to it. Let's
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: recap for the Strawberry letter for today. He wants to skip.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: The best part is a subject. Well, this woman is seventy,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: got the raging hormones of thirty year old, and she's
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: considers making love and art. And if you're not a painter,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: she's not interested. She'd met this man online, which is great.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: She's seventy. I'm assuming he's of age, and they started
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: seeing each other, and she says, I'm a big fan
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: of getting things started right when you're not just jumping
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: into it. When she said the beginning, her boyfriend started
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: out during the pregame show, but now he wants to
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: get to the main attraction right away. Now, she says,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: his stammer's stand stamina is wonderful, so there's no complaints.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: She say, I constantly wear sexual linger and he compliments
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: me on it, but he doesn't take time to enjoy
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the presentation and unwrapped package. He's a good man, loving
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: and we're even talking about Madge. I want to marry him,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: but I need to know that he's willing to romanticize
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: me and keep it passionate and not just want to
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: wear bam, thank you man type of deal. Stephen, Shelley,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: how can I get him take his time and not
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: just jump in. You can't, You can't. He's seventy, hell
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: is we're waiting for He know it could go down
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: for him any day. Now, what does that mean? Seventy
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: The clock is ticking, Shelley, That's what it means. We know, Yes, Shelley,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: you seventy You didn't live way longer than you got left.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: He don't have seventy more years. I'm telling you why
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: he got to jump in. Anybody got time for this? No,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: we seventy. We gotta get to it. She say. He
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: used to do the pregame show. Now he want to
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: jump right into it. He's seventy. She want him to do?
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: She said, give you a couple examples. Well, you know,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: I want to be a young seventy. But I'm gonna
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: be like him though already knowing. Let's talk about a
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: couple of things. When you go to the movies, you
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: don't want the damn preview. You want the movie. I
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: don't want to see no trailer. I don't give a
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: damn what's coming next week. I might not be here
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: next week. I want the movie. What did I pay
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: my twenty dolls for? Damn it? Give me my movie, right,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: That's why the seventy year old man ain't waiting. I
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: got another one for you, Okay. I don't like cracker Jackson.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: I want to pride now, I've been that way since
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I was a little boy. Or I buy the cracker
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Jack but dog gonn it. I want the prize. I
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: don't give it double damn bout the cracker jets, all
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: up in my teeth, cutting the roof of my mouth,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: wear my pride once again. That's why he can't wait.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Here's another one for you. He looking at it like
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: an HBCU game. We're here for the band, damn begun
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: half halftime, Brandy banding them damn chill eads out. This
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: ain't even a good football game. Yeah, hen we we
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: can't find the kicker. We ain't kick the field goal
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: in two years, the quarterback and throw fifteen yards? What's
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: the still at halftime? The receiver looked like your little
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: brother about out here for the HBCU game, mister Jared Rice,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: come along every nine and the Walter Peton. Everybody else
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: looked like chill with sit up here, HBCU game. I'm
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: out here watching the thirteenth grade. Man, where is the
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: bad damn sonic boom dam jackson boys that brain meet
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: him from Ratlers. Come on, I won't southern out here,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: oh man, HBCU game. That's why we can't wait so
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: quick getting mad at the man right, he said me,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: you sent me what you're taking your time for. Your
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: time could be next week too. Let's get to it.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Stop all this holding up. Stop Wait a minute, hold up,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: um you tie to swam bam. Thank you man, you
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: want to be lucky. He can steal wham. I know
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: some seven years dude, that Ben stopped whamming and bamming
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: years ago. She says he has. She did say, yeah,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: old man can last. Now, come on, that's that experience.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: That's the one. What to do. That's putting your mind
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: somewhere else. Mental mental boy talk. Yeah, so you learn that,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: take your mind off of it, go somewhere else. So
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: he keep putting me in work. If you think about it,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: you're gonna mesh yourself. You got medicine, you got all
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: the peers on the night stand. Stop thinking about which
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: people you got to take. It's a lot of ways
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: to occupy your band. Make it true, man, Yeah, think
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: about the truth. This is true, right. Yeah. You ever
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: been at it and just started to do something to
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: distract yourself barking like a dog. You're just practicing voice,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: all right. Listen, email us your Instagram us your thoughts
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM, and check
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand now coming up
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: at forty six after marital advice and uh, someone on
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: the show is celebrating their fifteenth wedding anniversary today. We'll
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: talk about that right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: all right, So Steve Tommy Junior, we have to say
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: happy anniversary to our girl, Carla Farrell and her husband
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Tash Farrel. They're celebrating their fifteenth wedding anniversary today. Carlo, Yes,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: y ca, Carlo girl, Yes years the anniversary. Thank you guys.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: As we've got together since two thousand and four. That's
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: my man, that's my husband, that's my baby daddy. So
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: what happens tonight? It might be off on Thursday. Can
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I ask you a question? Yes, sir, and you will
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: be honest with me. Okay, you heard that fifteen years.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Give me a real number. In fifteen years, how many
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: times would you say you've packed your bags and said
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: you was gonna leave? Oh? Never, none, not one time,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: not one time. You ain't never got your back to
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: the dope. No, not one time. This was the right one,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: this man right here, Not the relationships before him. That's
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: another subject. But my man right here. You you don't
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: have to bring out that this is about her this
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: is about it's not that's not just it's not just
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: sugar to turn out. Okay, No, that's cool. It ain't
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: that Okay, love rang anivisory when you had walked in
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: the room with the knife. We're gonna let go, We're
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: gonna let all let go. Tech He makes me sick.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: How did you guys make it to fifteen years? I mean,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: what's your what's your advice? What do you what do
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: you tell that just go go out in the garage
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: and just scream and screams crazy. You know what I
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: think it is? It's communication and marriages work and compromise
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: and we love each other. Man. We got this union,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: this family over everything. We got this this this love
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: for each other. And that's my soul mate. That's my
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: man right there. What else? Yes, I think because Tash
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: has a real ignorant as sense of human Yes, yeah
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: that's that. Yeah, I'm married, n O man, not but
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: for real though, just just real talk. Marriages work. I mean,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: you know, Steve marriage, Tommy, you know Shirley. You know
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: marriage is hard work, but you know it can be done.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: You see, I didn't I didn't do that. I didn't
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: set that up for him. I didn't, dude, which is
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: too hard. I'm out hard, too hard? All right, coming
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, more on Steve's
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: fabulous trip to Africa. He's in Botswana right now. We'll
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: talk about it when we come back right after this
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, So Steve, you're in Botswana,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: you've been there for the last couple of days. Tell
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: us about your big day. What's what are you planning today?
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: What's happening today? As soon as I get off the air,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I'm speaking, uh, in front of five thousand students at
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: the University of Botswana today, So wow, do a keynote address? Well,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I was invited by the president, President McKenzie, who invited
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: me to speak to the university and they're going to
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: stream it to six other locations and so it's gonna
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: be a really huge event, you know, just as a
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: motivational speaker to the students of Botswana at the University
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: of Botswana. That happens today and then after that I
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: take another tour. Uh. They've shown me some of their
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: facilities around here. They've got an incredible television facility here
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: in Botswana, Uh, and they have an incredible radio studio,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: which is where I am now. They've got six radio
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: studios here in this facility. They've got amphitheaters, they've got
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: a large seated or the term, they've got outdoor amphitheater.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: They just have everything, man, it's really They got news stations,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: they got recording studios. It's everything over here. And you know,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: we're just looking at all of the value that's here
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: and offering some suggestions and you know, moving forward, we'll
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: see how that works. But it's been a beautiful visit, man,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: the extremely kind people over here. I gotta tell you, man,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: if you haven't been to Botswana, let let me say
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: this first of all. One of the reasons I was
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: invited here was to increase, like I said the other day,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: was to bridge the gap between Africans and African Americans. See,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: the tourism over here is huge, man, Choby large, where
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I gave away on my Hawk Show Wants I sent
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: a couple to Choby. I'm gonna go to see the
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Okavanga Delta, which is an amazing experience. And the thing
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: of it is, though they want so desperately for African
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Americans to come and see their homeland because the majority
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: of people that partake of this are Europeans. Okay, I'm
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: just telling you. The majority of people who partake is
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: not Americans. It's Europeans, and they desperately. Well, I mean,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you know it's close, you know it's over here, it's
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: where some of the owners you know, advertise. You know,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: it is what it is, and we just don't know
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: about it. Americans, we don't know about it, and we're
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: not talking because the first thing we do with our
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: vacation is we want to say I ain't going that far.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: It's our home. We've got to elevate our thinking as
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: a people. We have got to connect to these Africans
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: because this is who we are. This is the year
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: of the return the four hundred years to commemorate the
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: first slave ship that left here four hundred years ago.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: And the whole purpose of that the Ghana President created
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: this was so we never repeat this again. You have
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: to come here to see this. Now. I'm gonna tell
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you when you go to the slave councils, it's gonna
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: be emotional for you. There is no way you can
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: go and see this and not be gravely affected. I'm
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: talking about a pain you haven't felt in a long,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: long time. It's a painful place to see and you
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: understand the real evil spirit and the atrocity that was
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: perpetrated against us. And what makes slavery such a cruel
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: atrocity is that it occurred for four hundred years. That's
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: a long day to do the evilness that was done
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: to us. Yeah, and the whole thing with the Khana
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: president is this can never happen again. And all of
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: us as African Americans should come home to see this.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: It's a game changer for you. You cannot be the
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: same after you come here. It's impossible. All right, Steve
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: will thank you for that. Um. Coming up, Yeah, coming
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: minutes after the hour right after this. You're listening, all right.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: It's been a month now since Lamar Oldham was kicked
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: out of the Big Three Basketball League for being out
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: of shape. Now Lamar says he's giving up some vice.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Oldham got put out of the Big Three. Yeah, because
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: he was out of shape. Yeah. I didn't know that
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: three shape for half court basket. Three man, I can't
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: meet it. And that'd be like me going out there
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: to play three all three damn sick. Yeah, there's three three.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: It's not even the whole court. I swear to God,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: we're all within ten feet of the basket. Ain't nobody
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: that's fat? Well Now, Lamar says he's giving up some
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: vices because he wants to have a healthier lifestyle. He
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: said he's giving up candy. That's a good start, and
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: he's giving up porn time. He says he's trying gonna
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: give up candy and poor because you're gonna have a
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: healthier life. That's what y'all to give up candy cause
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: your ass is farty? How about just damn? He says,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: he's trying to be better port in time. Candy can't
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: mean that much to your ass is farty. You look
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: stupid chewing candy? When does that all that in your mouth?
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Like Esus and vood heat the same time? Yeah, you
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: wiping your mouth because you got ncorsh coming down to
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: call yo. Joe thought, all right, we got more of
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this, you're listening to show,

- 1:20:37Speaker 1: here we are, last break of the day. You want
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: to leave us with some closing remarks you said earlier
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: with something that someone gave you. This one my closing
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: remarks to day is interesting because it's kind of two part.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: You know, I was thinking about we were talking earlier
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: about when you ask off something, you gotta be careful
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: because he may give it to you, but he oftentimes
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: gives it to you in ways that's not quite what
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: you had in mind, because the route that he oftentimes
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: chooses is not the route we would take. But if
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: you look at it, it's always the better way, because
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: God's ways always serves multiple purposes because as you live
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: your life and you affect other people's lives, sometimes he
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: uses you to affect the outcome of someone else too,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: And sometimes he puts something on you that he realizes
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: and he knows that you're strong enough to handle, so
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: he'll let you in do it to prove a point
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: to another person. It's just amazing how he works, man,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: and there's no way of trying to figure it out,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: So you might as well stop, because trying to understand
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: his ways that's a feudal process because his ways is
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: so advanced, so high, it's we can't we can't possibly
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: think that way. And so as I was talking about
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: how I used to one of my vision board, I
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: was asking God to increase my global brand and persona,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: and then I made that huge mistake on Miss Universe
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, my name in forty eight
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: hours was google four billion times. I was the most
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: google person on planet Earth for a period of time. Okay, now,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: guess what I asked God to increase it. I didn't
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: want him to do it that way. But as I
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: journey around the world this summer, I see what He
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: did because I can't tell you how many people recall
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: that moment. And now people are beginning to compliment me
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: on it. Man, that was a great thing you did.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I thought that was a real courageous and it showed honesty.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: And so many people talk to me about different things
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: they've seen videos of mine, whether it's the jump video
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: or book they read. And I get that all around
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: the world. I'm in Africa, man, and I can't go nowhere,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: and it is a amazing what God has done for
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: me and how God has wrapped my life up the
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: way he has, and it was all in such unexpected ways.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: So I'm saying all that because I'm gonna read something
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: to you that somebody sent to me that really struck
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: a chord with me, and I'm gonna share it with
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: you now. They sent it to me, and this is
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: what it said. It said I asked for strength, and
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: God gave me difficulties to make me strong. I asked
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve. I
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: asked for prosperity and God gave me brain and braun
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: to work. I asked for courage and God gave me
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: danger to overcome. I asked for love and God gave
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: me troubled people to help. I asked for favors and
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: God gave me opportunities. I received nothing I wanted. I
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: received everything I needed. Trust in God. See, I found
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: that to be so rich man, because it's so amazing
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: how he works. Man, you ask for strength, He turned
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: around and he give you difficulties that make you strong.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: Then you ask for wisdom. He turned around and he
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: give you problems to solved. Then you ask for some prosperity,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: and God gave you a brain and some braun to
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: put it into work. And then you go and you
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: ask God for courage, and then He gives you danger
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: to overcome. And then you mess around and you ask
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: God for some love, and He turned around and he
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: give you troubled people to help. And then you ask
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: for favors, and then God set him give you some opportunities. Well,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: I received nothing I wanted and received everything I need. It.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Trust in God. That's the deal, man, y'all feel me,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: that's the deal. That's how it works. Man. God gives
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: you everything you need. It may not be the way
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: you want it, but it always gives you what you need.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Do you realize how strong you are because of the
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: difficulties He didn't put in front of you. You wouldn't
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: be as strong as you were if you didn't have
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: to overcome the things you overcame. So man, ain't you got?
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: So that's why you hear people say you gotta thank
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: God for the hard time, because guess what they make
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: you stronger. You ask God to give you love, and
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: he give you trouble people and health. Well, guess what
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: you got to love him to do that. And when
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: you love him, guess what you help a troubled person.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: I bet they love you back. That's cold, man, the
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: way he set this thing up bad. And I'm just
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: glad man that I'm a sound mind and God gave
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: me the ability to realize and finally turn around and
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: look at what He's actually done for you. Instead of
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: focusing on the things you don't have because if you
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: focus on what you do have, you may realize that
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: you have enough and quit tripping about what you don't
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: have and use it and use the principle of gratitude
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: to further your life. The more grateful you are, the
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: more things God will give you. To be grateful for
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: is to core essence of receiving more blessings is to
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: be grateful for the ones you have. But no, no, no,
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: no no. You know what I used to do so much,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: keep asking, asking, asking, without thanking him, thanking him, thanking
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: him for all the stuff he's done for me. Then
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: when I got smart to it and started thanking him
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: for all the stuff he did for me, guess what
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: he did. He gave me some most stuff to be
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: grateful for. Yes, Lord, yes, Lord crazy. That's my closing
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: remarked today. If you wasn't feeling that, man, I feel
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: for you, drop the mike. Steve, Hey, man, y'all have
