- 1:10Speaker 1: Good morning, How are you doing there and what city
- 1:13Speaker 1: are you calling from? I'm actually talking from Houston this morning. Okay,
- 1:17Speaker 1: that's my hometown. Now, Now what are you doing in Houston, Texas? Now?
- 1:20Speaker 1: What are you doing in Houston taking? How long are
- 1:22Speaker 1: you gonna be there? Because we need to talk about
- 1:24Speaker 1: places to go eat. I'm gonna be here for a while.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I actually live here now, okay, yeah, that's that's my
- 1:31Speaker 1: one of my favorite conversations. Places that don't eat. Okay, cool.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Now I have a home still in Houston, so this
- 1:36Speaker 1: is good. So we can connect the dots here along
- 1:39Speaker 1: the line. So how long have you been in Houston?
- 1:42Speaker 1: And we're gonna get to the whole conversation. I kind
- 1:43Speaker 1: of like, you know, we have two breaks. I like
- 1:45Speaker 1: my fans to get to know the individuals who I'm
- 1:47Speaker 1: talking to, and we create relationship so the information doesn't
- 1:51Speaker 1: feel forced. It feels like it's coming from a place
- 1:53Speaker 1: that's authentic. So when did you move to Houston. I've
- 1:57Speaker 1: been in Houston for twenty plus years now and we've
- 2:00Speaker 1: never met. So, now you know what. I spent my
- 2:04Speaker 1: time in corporate America right right, So recently I didn't
- 2:08Speaker 1: know anybody outside of the corporate sector. I would tell
- 2:11Speaker 1: you this. I've been out of Houston. You know, I
- 2:14Speaker 1: still have a home there. They have home over there
- 2:15Speaker 1: in a spring branch across the memorial or a memorial area.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I have a home over there, and so that's where
- 2:22Speaker 1: I worked. Okay, cool, See we well we're getting too close. Now,
- 2:25Speaker 1: We're getting really close. And so so when I when
- 2:28Speaker 1: I look at Success, tell me your top three foodie
- 2:32Speaker 1: places in Houston, I'm gonna find out. Chief real here,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I'm find out. I'm find out. We're gonna, you know,
- 2:37Speaker 1: top three, miss winning ham My top three is Mickey
- 2:42Speaker 1: Soul Food cafe that Circy Leighood. What number three is? Wow?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Number three is tighteple ahead and say esther Food. See
- 2:58Speaker 1: two of those places I've never been to, Estra Soul
- 3:01Speaker 1: Food and what's a Mickey's. Okay, I gotta I gotta
- 3:05Speaker 1: get that information from you, because I I love to eat.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And what I do is I have this thing. I
- 3:09Speaker 1: have this format on my website and social media called
- 3:12Speaker 1: Rushawn's Eats, and these are the favorite places I go.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And I recommend that just you know, I don't you know,
- 3:18Speaker 1: there are no fees. I just promote and say, hey,
- 3:20Speaker 1: go check out this restaurant and to go to just
- 3:22Speaker 1: a favorite place in Houston. So there was a two
- 3:24Speaker 1: places that I need to know about that you've told
- 3:27Speaker 1: me about, and in Houston. And I am a native Houston.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I was born to Houston, with the high school in Houston,
- 3:32Speaker 1: with the college in Houston. I got married in Houston.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I still live in Houston and also live in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Now you're on my show, and it's called something called
- 3:40Speaker 1: the Leading America's Leading Quit Coach q U I T coach.
- 3:46Speaker 1: What is that? So? A quick coach of somebody that
- 3:50Speaker 1: helps you transition because you don't just quit your job,
- 3:54Speaker 1: because you can't just quit your bill, right right, So
- 3:57Speaker 1: it's a process to be able to take your marketable
- 4:01Speaker 1: skills from whatever you do, whatever you know how to do,
- 4:05Speaker 1: and turn that into something that you can sell in
- 4:08Speaker 1: the world at large. To be able to have the
- 4:11Speaker 1: freedom to quit your job. Now we shauid have freedom
- 4:15Speaker 1: to quit your job. What does that mean. I'm just
- 4:18Speaker 1: just trying to just spell it out the fruit. Like
- 4:19Speaker 1: I said, I'm because I might have an example of
- 4:21Speaker 1: myself quitting the job and I'm gonna tell you how
- 4:23Speaker 1: how it affected me. And then I found myself having
- 4:25Speaker 1: to go back to work. So and that's why The
- 4:29Speaker 1: transition is so important. With Shawn, I was a vice
- 4:32Speaker 1: president and JP Morgan Chase. I left Chase a day
- 4:35Speaker 1: before my sixteenth year anniversary. I spent four years before
- 4:40Speaker 1: I left Chase building my income up so that it
- 4:45Speaker 1: matched my check so that when I left, I didn't
- 4:48Speaker 1: have to ever go back. And that's the importance of
- 4:51Speaker 1: the transition. You can't step out. People say, oh, I'm
- 4:55Speaker 1: gonna step out on face. No, you're gonna step out
- 4:58Speaker 1: on broke. I love already. I get so bad when
- 5:03Speaker 1: I hear that we're stepping out on faith. Yeah, we
- 5:06Speaker 1: need to step out on money, right. And so when
- 5:09Speaker 1: you step out with a plan that's already operational that
- 5:14Speaker 1: you don't have to worry about going back, you can
- 5:17Speaker 1: take your additional time freedom and scale your business up
- 5:21Speaker 1: from where you are. Because it's really interesting. I always
- 5:24Speaker 1: tell people about wealth to talk about finances, And one
- 5:28Speaker 1: thing I learned is that when I when I made
- 5:30Speaker 1: a transition my life to walk away from our financial
- 5:34Speaker 1: successful partnership, I thought I would not work again. But
- 5:39Speaker 1: then what I didn't realize is that I liked the
- 5:41Speaker 1: lifestyle that I was in, So I was stopping. I
- 5:45Speaker 1: was still trying to when no income coming like it was,
- 5:48Speaker 1: I was still doing what I was doing. First class tickets,
- 5:52Speaker 1: limos service, you know, Taylor shoes, Taylor clothes. That realized,
- 5:58Speaker 1: you know, something happen when you're a big house. The
- 6:01Speaker 1: taxes don't change, the electricity bill don't change, the Verizon bill,
- 6:08Speaker 1: don't change. That's what if. That's when people forget when
- 6:10Speaker 1: they when they say IM gonna walk away, Well you're
- 6:12Speaker 1: gonna walk away. There's certain things you can't walk away
- 6:14Speaker 1: from if you're not downsizing. M I had no plans
- 6:19Speaker 1: on downside. And so guess what the quick coach I
- 6:22Speaker 1: should have called her first, because you said, straight now,
- 6:26Speaker 1: let me let me use let me use me use
- 6:28Speaker 1: me as an example. Okay, here's a guy, you know successful.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I said, I'm out, I'm gonna spend time with my family.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I'm relaxed. I got two houses. Wasn't selling no house,
- 6:41Speaker 1: wasn't selling no car. What mistakes were I was was
- 6:45Speaker 1: I making or was I making any mistakes? And then
- 6:48Speaker 1: had hadn't playing on making it working for anybody ever again,
- 6:55Speaker 1: So the biggest mistake people make with shan is that
- 6:57Speaker 1: they don't monetize what's in their hands. We do a lot,
- 7:04Speaker 1: but we don't expect revenue and return. See. I never
- 7:07Speaker 1: realized my side hustle could have freed me a long
- 7:10Speaker 1: time ago, had i've been as serious about my side
- 7:14Speaker 1: hustle as I was about my job. The people put eight, nine,
- 7:19Speaker 1: ten hours a day into their jobs, but they don't
- 7:22Speaker 1: put that level of time into their business. And so
- 7:25Speaker 1: what happens is your business always ends up on the
- 7:29Speaker 1: losing end. And besides that, we don't know how to
- 7:32Speaker 1: monetize everything we do, every bit of its since we
- 7:36Speaker 1: give out, uh, every bit of support, we give one
- 7:41Speaker 1: sure of business that has to be monthetized. Walmart is
- 7:45Speaker 1: not handing out free baths to the groceries just because.
- 7:50Speaker 1: And so when we don't monetize our gifts and talents,
- 7:53Speaker 1: we end up working for somebody who will. Well, it's
- 7:58Speaker 1: all right. First of all, it's all right to work
- 8:00Speaker 1: for somebody. So let me don't get that cool. But
- 8:02Speaker 1: writing the book myself and I talk about that you
- 8:04Speaker 1: have the four they all week people and you have
- 8:06Speaker 1: the seventy hour weak people. These are two different people,
- 8:08Speaker 1: the four the hour weak people. There's a plan of
- 8:10Speaker 1: success you need to understand how you can be successful
- 8:13Speaker 1: within that window. The people who want more than forty hours,
- 8:16Speaker 1: that's a different breed of people. That's That's what I'm
- 8:18Speaker 1: talking on the phone right now. She's a forty hour
- 8:20Speaker 1: week person and she's letting you know that, which I
- 8:23Speaker 1: totally agree. If you apply the same eight hours of
- 8:27Speaker 1: work that you're doing in a forty hour week to
- 8:29Speaker 1: your dream, really apply those same hours, then you can
- 8:33Speaker 1: be successful outside of that forty hour week. But the
- 8:36Speaker 1: problem is people don't have to discipline. Isn't that the
- 8:39Speaker 1: difference maker? You know? I think you know. The funny
- 8:45Speaker 1: part is they have the discipline for a job. You
- 8:50Speaker 1: can't keep a job that days if you're not discipline.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You gotta come to work here, come to work on time.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So I find it funny that you would have that
- 8:58Speaker 1: discipline for someone else and not have that discipline for
- 9:02Speaker 1: your drinks. And I think part of that is a
- 9:05Speaker 1: believability factor. You don't really believe you can get riched
- 9:09Speaker 1: on your drinks because we've been taught you get rich
- 9:13Speaker 1: out of job, and you're really doubtful. So how how
- 9:16Speaker 1: do you view retirement? How do you you view people
- 9:18Speaker 1: who you know just trying to get that finish line,
- 9:21Speaker 1: you know, I mean hopefully the government will take care
- 9:23Speaker 1: of them. You know that that's their that's the admission
- 9:26Speaker 1: to be taken care of at a certain age. Is
- 9:28Speaker 1: that I know that's not your philosophy. How do how
- 9:31Speaker 1: do we break that? But how do we break that out?
- 9:33Speaker 1: That that that pattern that has been perceived to be
- 9:36Speaker 1: the way you grow old? You know, Rashawn, it's so
- 9:40Speaker 1: many patterns we need to break included that one. You
- 9:44Speaker 1: know what I teach my clients that retirement is not
- 9:46Speaker 1: an age retirement as developed thing. You're in your bank
- 9:49Speaker 1: account retirements? Do you have residual income that can continue
- 9:55Speaker 1: to pay you when you're no longer doing what you're doing? Right? So,
- 10:00Speaker 1: if you want to sit back and wait on the government,
- 10:02Speaker 1: chances are you might be greeting at Walmart when you're
- 10:07Speaker 1: seventy years old to breede the gap. If you're barely
- 10:11Speaker 1: making it now, how are you really gonna make it
- 10:14Speaker 1: when your income only of what it is now, your
- 10:19Speaker 1: paycheck to paycheck already, the studies show that the average
- 10:23Speaker 1: American is giving paycheck to paychecks. I think they said
- 10:26Speaker 1: something like people can afford a thousand dollar emergency without
- 10:31Speaker 1: putting on a credit card or borrowing the money. So
- 10:34Speaker 1: you're already pay check to paychecks, So how do you
- 10:36Speaker 1: reduce that and really live comfortably? Like you said earlier,
- 10:41Speaker 1: your bills are not going anywhere. You gotta houses. You
- 10:44Speaker 1: said that Q cable bills. You still got to light
- 10:46Speaker 1: build water bills. So how do you reduce your money
- 10:49Speaker 1: and retire here? Well, that means you have to have
- 10:52Speaker 1: a lifestyle change with you at the time. And I
- 10:55Speaker 1: refused to understand why, you know, because of the fact
- 10:57Speaker 1: that I'm a smart guy and I bring it out
- 11:00Speaker 1: because a lot of decisions, you know, people would say
- 11:02Speaker 1: there's a lot of people who are homeless right now
- 11:05Speaker 1: because they're smre people. They just made the decision or
- 11:07Speaker 1: they made a decision too late to realize that they
- 11:10Speaker 1: were in a in a in a in a spiral
- 11:12Speaker 1: that they couldn't undo. Now, when I when I one
- 11:15Speaker 1: of the things when I'm reading your bio, it said
- 11:18Speaker 1: internet influencer. And I've heard of social media influencer. Now
- 11:22Speaker 1: that I miss judge something when I read the word
- 11:24Speaker 1: internet influencer, Is there a difference? It's not really a difference. Uh.
- 11:29Speaker 1: The only I think the only distinct differences. I make
- 11:32Speaker 1: money on the internet m outside of sponsorship, outside of
- 11:38Speaker 1: brands paying me. There are a lot of people that
- 11:41Speaker 1: have way more followers than me and make way less money.
- 11:46Speaker 1: When I said Internet influencer, I mean is their job
- 11:50Speaker 1: to show up on the Internet every day and get
- 11:52Speaker 1: clients and generate referuce. That's my job and that's what
- 11:55Speaker 1: I teach my clients. The Internet marketplace is vast, it's endless,
- 12:01Speaker 1: and it's just now at the tipping point. That's absolutely correct. Um.
- 12:05Speaker 1: When of my next break, I'm talking to America's leading
- 12:07Speaker 1: quit coach. That's q U I T coach and what
- 12:10Speaker 1: it means to be successful in your life now how
- 12:13Speaker 1: to understand those changes. Her name is dan Yelle winning Ham,
- 12:17Speaker 1: been a resident of Houston for twenty years. In Houston,
- 12:20Speaker 1: Texas is my city. We we did the top three
- 12:23Speaker 1: places to eat and I was cool with one of
- 12:25Speaker 1: them because the other two. She's gonna send me informational
- 12:27Speaker 1: that's the Turkey leg. The Turkey leg. You gotta get
- 12:29Speaker 1: there early to get a Turkey leg where she's fantastic.
- 12:33Speaker 1: The next break will be about inspirational steps and we're
- 12:36Speaker 1: gonna get some contact information on how you can find
- 12:38Speaker 1: out how to return. I just Rashan McDonald and you're
- 12:42Speaker 1: listening to Rashan and you listen to money make I'm
- 12:45Speaker 1: about say and you listening to Rashan McDonald. Wow, that
- 12:49Speaker 1: was not gonna come out good. You're listening to money
- 12:51Speaker 1: making conversations on the phone. As an international wealth building expert,
- 12:55Speaker 1: she empowers thousands of women via daily Lives Strange to
- 12:58Speaker 1: quit their job and live their dreams and as they
- 13:00Speaker 1: could never have imagined. She's internet or social media influencer.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And lets just say this number because she was important,
- 13:06Speaker 1: because we talked about the earlier. Her daily social media
- 13:08Speaker 1: follows are over a hundred and fifty thousand because a
- 13:11Speaker 1: lot of people feel that and for her, engagement is crazy.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And that's the key. Who people who follow you? Are
- 13:18Speaker 1: they engaged by you? Do they respond to you? And
- 13:22Speaker 1: so that's what we were talking about earlier, is that
- 13:24Speaker 1: there's some people out there. I remember when uh Watson
- 13:27Speaker 1: they can do tests. They were looking at my social
- 13:30Speaker 1: media numbers and they started comparing it to people who
- 13:32Speaker 1: had sometimes six times more than my social media numbers,
- 13:35Speaker 1: and they win. Your engagement is much more valuable and
- 13:38Speaker 1: so Miss Winningham is that that's that's really important. We
- 13:41Speaker 1: should tell people who who are chasing the ultimate uh
- 13:46Speaker 1: million or the ultimate viral video. It's really the consistent
- 13:49Speaker 1: engagement and why people are actually following you. Correct, But
- 13:53Speaker 1: beyond a shadow of a doubt, it's not about life.
- 13:57Speaker 1: It's not about follows. It's about whose life are you changing,
- 14:03Speaker 1: who's listening to you, who are you impacting? What are
- 14:07Speaker 1: you shifting with your words? That's what it's about. And
- 14:12Speaker 1: would you Now that's important to you because you have
- 14:14Speaker 1: you have a balanced life because you're you're You're you're
- 14:17Speaker 1: you know, let's just say a mom or three key
- 14:20Speaker 1: to three kids. How does that? You know? You? You
- 14:23Speaker 1: you travel more than you probably ever traveled before, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: you always And it's interesting when you take on that
- 14:28Speaker 1: inspirational lifestyle that you have, because people naturally gravitate themselves
- 14:34Speaker 1: into your your persona, your world, and you have to
- 14:37Speaker 1: you have to deal with it because guess what, they
- 14:39Speaker 1: expect a certain response back to you. How do you
- 14:41Speaker 1: maintain that balanced life? So, to be honest, it's easier
- 14:48Speaker 1: doing what I do now than working a job because
- 14:52Speaker 1: I have the freedom to do it. When I want to.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And now my kids are in college now, but especially
- 14:58Speaker 1: as they were growing up. You know, I had more freedom,
- 15:03Speaker 1: you know, doing this internet thing than I did having
- 15:06Speaker 1: to be at a job. I was a vice president
- 15:08Speaker 1: so and at Chase, we did like five mergers in
- 15:11Speaker 1: like seven years. So I was consumed at my job
- 15:16Speaker 1: versus being able to work at elevens you know, midnight,
- 15:20Speaker 1: four in the morning, when the kids are asleep. I
- 15:22Speaker 1: have more choices now, and to be honest, I can
- 15:24Speaker 1: travel as much there. Last year in high school, I
- 15:28Speaker 1: shut to travel down and could still make money from
- 15:31Speaker 1: my house. And that freedom was important to me because
- 15:34Speaker 1: I felt like I missed so many years working a job.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I didn't want to do nothing they last year, but
- 15:40Speaker 1: spend time with them. That was it it. So you
- 15:43Speaker 1: so that's whole purpose that you do now you focus
- 15:46Speaker 1: on women? Okay? Is there a reason for that? If
- 15:49Speaker 1: you trying to just show them the glass ceiling is breakable?
- 15:54Speaker 1: Why you know I focused on women because you know,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I actually have a new book coming out to him
- 16:00Speaker 1: called Poverty Wears a Skirt. And if you look at
- 16:04Speaker 1: the numbers statistics on women, yet we have to buying power.
- 16:08Speaker 1: But we don't have the wealth. Women do se me
- 16:11Speaker 1: of the world's work, but we only have ten percent
- 16:14Speaker 1: of the world's wealth and one percent of the world's land.
- 16:18Speaker 1: So now you're not just talking about women. Were talking
- 16:20Speaker 1: about your aunt, your six sisters, your mom, your daughters.
- 16:26Speaker 1: We're talking about the people that are the caregivers for
- 16:29Speaker 1: all intives and purposes, women or anyone percent of the
- 16:32Speaker 1: world's caregivers. Why should we be in poverty. I'm not
- 16:36Speaker 1: saying give us an unequal shared of past. I'm saying,
- 16:39Speaker 1: let's level the plane fill at least give me the
- 16:42Speaker 1: money I need to take care of my family. If
- 16:44Speaker 1: I'm a single mom, to take care of my mother,
- 16:47Speaker 1: if I'm a caregiver, at least give me that because
- 16:50Speaker 1: I give so much. Now, when you say you give
- 16:54Speaker 1: so much, what does it mean when you say gives
- 16:56Speaker 1: so much? Because I always like to break it down
- 16:57Speaker 1: a little bit more. When you what do you when
- 17:00Speaker 1: you said you give so much? What does that mean?
- 17:02Speaker 1: You know? As women, and I mean especially, let me
- 17:05Speaker 1: just back my background as an active American woman, I
- 17:08Speaker 1: was always taught that I had to show up and
- 17:10Speaker 1: do five times as much. And so I did, and
- 17:16Speaker 1: I continue to do that. I don't know how to
- 17:18Speaker 1: do anything black luster. I bring my work ethic to
- 17:22Speaker 1: every game I play. But I was finding out that
- 17:26Speaker 1: my colleagues, and that's where Black Women's Equal pay they
- 17:29Speaker 1: come from. My colleagues were getting paid sometimes double what
- 17:34Speaker 1: I was getting paid for doing way less work. So
- 17:38Speaker 1: why is that so when you were just least to
- 17:41Speaker 1: our next question, then tell us about your Black Women's
- 17:44Speaker 1: Equal Pay Day in August. So Black Women's Equal Pay
- 17:48Speaker 1: Day is actually a national initiative. We just make sure
- 17:51Speaker 1: that each year we highlight the fact that women have
- 17:56Speaker 1: options as it relates to their pay. Number One, women
- 18:00Speaker 1: need to learn how to open a mouth. The waves
- 18:02Speaker 1: gap means just some ans faults, it's not. At some
- 18:06Speaker 1: point you need to learn what you bring to the
- 18:08Speaker 1: table and to either be able to negotiate your money
- 18:12Speaker 1: where you stand or be okay with going somewhere else
- 18:16Speaker 1: and taking your skills somewhere else. Women sometimes have displaced loyalty.
- 18:21Speaker 1: And if you know that job that is not paying
- 18:23Speaker 1: you right, it's okay to find another one. And then
- 18:27Speaker 1: Black Women's Equal Pay that it's also about sometimes you
- 18:30Speaker 1: have to come out of the workforce in order to
- 18:34Speaker 1: be able to command your patient. When you're in the workforce,
- 18:38Speaker 1: you're the middle that you're just the middleman. They're using
- 18:40Speaker 1: you up, mark marking up your gifts, marking up your talents,
- 18:45Speaker 1: and getting a greater return on the investment than if
- 18:48Speaker 1: you started your own business. So even if you choose
- 18:50Speaker 1: to stay in the workforce, you gotta know what your worth.
- 18:54Speaker 1: And especially if you come out here and build your
- 18:56Speaker 1: own business, you can't sell yourself cheap because the world
- 19:00Speaker 1: will buy you. This is so it's really when I
- 19:05Speaker 1: hear you talk, I hear fearlessness because you came from
- 19:09Speaker 1: a successful corporate environment. But then you you felt you
- 19:13Speaker 1: were giving you thought. One day you woke up as
- 19:15Speaker 1: your look, I'm giving all my time to this world.
- 19:18Speaker 1: This this corporate environment, nothing negative. I'm successful at it.
- 19:22Speaker 1: But I can do more if I put that same
- 19:25Speaker 1: energy on myself. So that's the message you're telling anybody
- 19:29Speaker 1: who comes up to you, is that if you're willing
- 19:31Speaker 1: to work eight hours or four hours a week with
- 19:33Speaker 1: somebody else, turn around and use that same energy for
- 19:36Speaker 1: yourself and you be more be more successful. Correct. So
- 19:41Speaker 1: that's my message now, But Rashan, that's not how it
- 19:44Speaker 1: happened for me. You know, it was a rude awakening
- 19:48Speaker 1: for me. I went through the voice, and anytime you
- 19:50Speaker 1: go through the voice to check one check equal broke.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I mean, I don't care how you look at it.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Go back to the numbers we talked about earlier. You
- 19:59Speaker 1: used to living us a lifestyle, and once that the
- 20:04Speaker 1: findings coming in are reduced, you're looking at the same
- 20:08Speaker 1: bills and not the same revenue. So I had to
- 20:11Speaker 1: go out there and figure out how to cover my gap,
- 20:15Speaker 1: which is why I tell women don't wait until it
- 20:19Speaker 1: starts raining to know that you need an umbrella. In
- 20:23Speaker 1: this life. Things are gonna shift. Understand that people are
- 20:27Speaker 1: gonna lose their jobs, people are gonna break up, people
- 20:32Speaker 1: are gonna be stick and not be able to work.
- 20:34Speaker 1: It just happens, even to the best of us. So
- 20:40Speaker 1: you gotta know what you're capable of before life shows
- 20:44Speaker 1: you there joker, because there don't show us their hiday.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You have a new book coming out, You've written over
- 20:50Speaker 1: twenty books, best selling books. By the way, how does
- 20:54Speaker 1: one do? You have a website? You can use your
- 20:56Speaker 1: website can use a social media handles so we can
- 20:58Speaker 1: let people know how to get in touch with you. Absolutely.
- 21:02Speaker 1: It's just my name Daniel Winningham dot com. That's my website.
- 21:06Speaker 1: You'll find all my books on Amazon, my digital products
- 21:09Speaker 1: on our website. It's just my name Daniel winning Him
- 21:12Speaker 1: dot com. Is simple. Isn't it great just to say
- 21:14Speaker 1: your name's Rushan McDonald dot com. That's my name, Rushan
- 21:18Speaker 1: McDonald dot com. And and you got it there and
- 21:21Speaker 1: you're making it happen. So if you, if you as
- 21:24Speaker 1: you go through life, as you go through all these transitions,
- 21:26Speaker 1: these moments of trying to what's the most difficult thing
- 21:29Speaker 1: that you have to overcome when you're speaking to people,
- 21:33Speaker 1: Because you know, some people they're just you know, like
- 21:36Speaker 1: you said, they tied to faith, they tied to Hey,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I gogo me show me the way. I just prayed
- 21:43Speaker 1: my way there, it's gonna happen. What what annoys you
- 21:47Speaker 1: the most when people try when you try to convince
- 21:49Speaker 1: people to make that transition. You know what annoys me
- 21:53Speaker 1: the most is a believability factor. People will believe in
- 21:57Speaker 1: other people before they believe in themselves. And I try
- 22:01Speaker 1: to true, well, it's not easy for anybody. Everybody came
- 22:05Speaker 1: from somewhere. I came from nowhere, so I can do
- 22:09Speaker 1: what you can do it too. But people just they
- 22:12Speaker 1: struggle with believing in their own abundance. They struggle with
- 22:17Speaker 1: believing in their own words. They struggle with just knowing
- 22:20Speaker 1: that there are strategies that can get you where you
- 22:23Speaker 1: want to live. You don't have to just sit on
- 22:26Speaker 1: the outside and watch everybody else play the game. You
- 22:31Speaker 1: can play soon. But they do, they but they but
- 22:35Speaker 1: they will, they want they will sit on their side
- 22:37Speaker 1: because fear drives them. So I think a major part
- 22:40Speaker 1: of your appreciation is always overcoming the fear because you know,
- 22:43Speaker 1: like like like when I left IBM, there was fear.
- 22:46Speaker 1: You know, I wanted to be a comedian, but there
- 22:48Speaker 1: was doubt either because you can see you couldn't see
- 22:51Speaker 1: a regular job. Let you know, health benefits there. You know,
- 22:54Speaker 1: if you come to work, if you act right, you
- 22:56Speaker 1: have a job next week. That's that's the Joan theory.
- 22:58Speaker 1: When you work a normal job, when you're going out
- 23:01Speaker 1: there on if it's a good plan, there is fear.
- 23:05Speaker 1: How do you get them to overcome fear? You know,
- 23:08Speaker 1: we're trying. One of the things I tell my myself.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Let me start with me, because I don't care where
- 23:13Speaker 1: you go to. Uh. I love Charlemagne's book where he
- 23:17Speaker 1: talked about you know the higher you kid. You still
- 23:21Speaker 1: struggle with that whole me fid me things right? The
- 23:25Speaker 1: ennery is still talking to you crazy, and so I
- 23:30Speaker 1: tell them you have to prioritize your fear. So what
- 23:34Speaker 1: are you more afraid of with me? I'm more afraid
- 23:38Speaker 1: of failure and more afraid of being broke than I
- 23:42Speaker 1: am of what's on the other side. And as long
- 23:46Speaker 1: as I continue to remind myself that it's one or
- 23:49Speaker 1: the other, staying still is not an option because for
- 23:52Speaker 1: all intents and purposes, things still is making no choice.
- 23:56Speaker 1: And making no choice means you're relegated the saying where
- 24:00Speaker 1: you are Wow? Well, we talked to America's leading quick coach.
