- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson
- 0:04Speaker 1: with you, so nice to have you with us, and
- 0:05Speaker 1: Senator We've got two big stories that we're gonna be
- 0:07Speaker 1: talking about. One of them is this incredible movement we've
- 0:12Speaker 1: seen with Russia and also with Ukraine. This is significant movement.
- 0:17Speaker 1: The media is fighting against us, saying no to it.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Now look what we're seeing deals getting done.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Well, Listen, I'm cautiously optimistic. Let's not get ahead of
- 0:25Speaker 2: ourselves and celebrate, but we are making progress towards peace.
- 0:29Speaker 3: In Ukraine.
- 0:30Speaker 2: We had in the last several days, President Trump met
- 0:33Speaker 2: with Putin in Alaska, had a positive meeting, and then
- 0:37Speaker 2: on Monday he had a meeting with President Zelenski, multiple
- 0:40Speaker 2: European heads of state in Washington in the White House,
- 0:44Speaker 2: again another positive meeting. We are making real significant steps
- 0:48Speaker 2: towards peace. We're gonna break it down. We're gonna tell
- 0:50Speaker 2: you where things stand right now. We're gonna tell you
- 0:52Speaker 2: where each of the players are, and we're gonna tell
- 0:54Speaker 2: you what's.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Likely to happen next.
- 0:56Speaker 2: We're also gonna talk on today's podcast about DC and
- 1:01Speaker 2: when President Trump federalized the police department in DC pursuant
- 1:05Speaker 2: to his authority under the Constitution, his authority under the
- 1:07Speaker 2: DC Home Rule Statute. The Democrats freaked out, the media
- 1:11Speaker 2: freaked out. The worst thing they could imagine was having
- 1:14Speaker 2: a Republican president step in and actually stop violent crime.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Well that has happened. The numbers are stunning. Violent crime
- 1:21Speaker 2: has plummeted. We're going to break down the results of that.
- 1:24Speaker 2: And the attendant freak out from the Democrats. This is
- 1:27Speaker 2: yet another week of real, meaningful successes for the Trump
- 1:31Speaker 2: presidency and its differences that are making a difference for
- 1:34Speaker 2: Americans across the country.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's certainly going to be very interesting to see
- 1:37Speaker 1: what happens with all these others.
- 1:39Speaker 4: As you mentioned, all these other cities.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And if this is so successful, how do you then
- 1:45Speaker 1: say we don't want help to save lives in our cities.
- 1:48Speaker 4: We're going to break all that down, I promise you.
- 1:50Speaker 2: The Democrats will say that they don't want help in
- 1:52Speaker 2: New York, they don't want help in Chicago, they don't
- 1:54Speaker 2: want help in la they don't want help in any
- 1:56Speaker 2: city in America run by a Democrat mayor, because they
- 1:59Speaker 2: rather crime be high than actually allow the police to
- 2:03Speaker 2: arrest the violent criminals. That's spoiler alert, but we're going
- 2:06Speaker 2: to get to that in the second story today.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Yeah, no doubt.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Let me tell you about our friend's over at Patriot
- 2:11Speaker 1: Mobile real quick. If you've never heard about Patriot Mobile,
- 2:13Speaker 1: they're an amazing company. My cell phone that I have
- 2:17Speaker 1: is with Patriot Mobile. I travel all over the place.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Literally tonight, I'm doing my show from a hotel on
- 2:22Speaker 1: the road, and I have had phenomenal service because they
- 2:25Speaker 1: operate on the three largest major networks in the country.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Now why did I switch to Patriot Mobile. Number One,
- 2:31Speaker 1: they save me cash on my monthly bill. But two,
- 2:34Speaker 1: they're actually giving back to causes I care about. You
- 2:36Speaker 1: may not realize, but Big Mobile they get big, big,
- 2:40Speaker 1: big donations the Democratic Causes, candidates and organizations. They also
- 2:44Speaker 1: give money to organizations that support abortion. If you don't
- 2:47Speaker 1: want your money going there, then why not make a
- 2:50Speaker 1: difference in every call you make, with every text you
- 2:53Speaker 1: send in with every bill you pay. That's where the
- 2:55Speaker 1: amazing work a Patriot Mobile does comes into play. When
- 2:58Speaker 1: you pay your bill, five percent of that bill every
- 3:00Speaker 1: month goes back to support conservative causes. Add no extra
- 3:04Speaker 1: cost to you that support our First or Secondmendment rights.
- 3:07Speaker 1: They also stand with law enforcement. They stand with our
- 3:10Speaker 1: wounded warriors and our veterans, and they give back big
- 3:15Speaker 1: every year. That's why I love them, and I want
- 3:18Speaker 1: you to try it now. I'm gonna give you a
- 3:19Speaker 1: free month of service. By the way, if you're in
- 3:21Speaker 1: a contract, don't worry about. They have a contract buy
- 3:24Speaker 1: out program right now. Maybe you owe some money on
- 3:26Speaker 1: a phone, call them. They can help you get out
- 3:29Speaker 1: of that as well. Nine to seven to two Patriot

- 3:44Speaker 1: free month of service as well. Keep your same number,
- 3:47Speaker 1: same cell phone, or upgrade to a new one Patriot

- 3:52Speaker 1: Patriot promo code vertict for a free month of service.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Check them out. All right, So let's talk about this meeting.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I want to all right, before we do, I gotta
- 4:01Speaker 2: tell you. You mentioned you're on the road, Yes, so
- 4:05Speaker 2: where are you? You could see Bennis in front of
- 4:08Speaker 2: the most drab uh drapes in a hotel. I'm actually
- 4:13Speaker 2: wondering if you're like in the red Light district, if
- 4:15Speaker 2: this is something that you pay like by the minute
- 4:18Speaker 2: you put a quarter in the bed. So where are
- 4:20Speaker 2: you and and and and why are the drapes so
- 4:23Speaker 2: drab behind you?
- 4:24Speaker 3: All right?
- 4:24Speaker 1: So it's a very bougie room. I'm not gonna lie.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I didn't book it. I think it's called the Conrad.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's very nice. But the drapes they have, otherwise you'd
- 4:33Speaker 1: be seeing the skyline behind me. I hit the clothes
- 4:36Speaker 1: button beforehand, and they're like these tan drapes. But they
- 4:38Speaker 1: look very as you mentioned. Yes, I agree with you.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It does look like I'm in a motel six outdoor
- 4:43Speaker 1: entry hotel right now.
- 4:44Speaker 4: So that's I'm in now?
- 4:45Speaker 3: So in what in web site Nashville? All right? All right,
- 4:48Speaker 3: so pull the drapes behind.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Let's see the Skytish Vegas.
- 4:51Speaker 1: All right, let's see it on, let's see it. They'll
- 4:53Speaker 1: open there we go, hold on, they're automatic drapes. I
- 4:56Speaker 1: love that you're making me do this. Can you see
- 4:58Speaker 1: the skyline? You guys? You see it's real nice back there?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Okay, there you go.
- 5:02Speaker 2: All right, that's that's uh, you know it did. There's
- 5:07Speaker 2: not just actually a crack dealer your window.
- 5:09Speaker 3: So that's good.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Look look look automatic drapes behind me. Can you see
- 5:14Speaker 1: the moving automatically? All right?
- 5:17Speaker 2: From now on, we'll have to address you aie Ben.
- 5:21Speaker 4: I love it.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I'm just glad you dressed up for me. You know
- 5:24Speaker 1: I was. I'm in my travel gear right now.
- 5:27Speaker 3: You know, I'm just glad you're wearing travels.
- 5:29Speaker 1: That's that's, that's very true. So let's talk about this.
- 5:33Speaker 1: That the implosion of the media over what we just witnessed.
- 5:37Speaker 4: So let's just go back a couple of days ago.
- 5:40Speaker 1: They said, like uniformly the media that a guy by
- 5:44Speaker 1: the name of Vladimir Putin played Donald Trump, that this
- 5:48Speaker 1: was a disaster, the meeting in Alaska, it was gonna
- 5:52Speaker 1: go nowhere. They were saying that there was no movement,
- 5:55Speaker 1: no real deal done. You fast forward days the Lensky
- 5:59Speaker 1: shows up, Your and leaders show up, and they're all
- 6:02Speaker 1: sitting there going, let's get this done. Let's move forward.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Zielenski even wore a suit. Some said it looked like
- 6:08Speaker 1: a ten year old. After they get their first suit
- 6:10Speaker 1: at j C. Pennies. The way he was dressed up.
- 6:12Speaker 1: It is kind of funny if you saw that meme
- 6:13Speaker 1: going around, because it is exactly what I looked like
- 6:16Speaker 1: when I was smiling when I wore my first suit
- 6:17Speaker 1: when I was like ten years old.
- 6:18Speaker 4: It was one of the best memes I've ever seen.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But he show up for his suit instead that you know,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I know, I know, except for instead of the military.
- 6:26Speaker 4: You know, Garby normally wears.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And he clearly was there in a very different tone
- 6:31Speaker 1: than he was the first meeting when he was very
- 6:34Speaker 1: combative with Donald Trump. And now we have a structure
- 6:38Speaker 1: that is being laid out publicly.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 2: So look, we had this weekend, the meeting in Alaska
- 6:44Speaker 2: between President Trump and and Putin, and you're right, the
- 6:48Speaker 2: media freaked out. We did a deep dive on that
- 6:50Speaker 2: meeting in Monday's podcast. If you didn't listen to Monday's podcast,
- 6:53Speaker 2: you got to go back and listen to it. But
- 6:56Speaker 2: the disconnect between what actually happened between President Trump in
- 7:00Speaker 2: Putin and what the media reported is night and day.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Because they are rooting for the president to fail. They
- 7:07Speaker 2: are rooting for America to fail, and the Democrats are
- 7:10Speaker 2: rooting for the president to fail in America to fail,
- 7:12Speaker 2: and I have to say we're making real and material progress.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I believe the war in Ukraine will be over by
- 7:20Speaker 2: the end of the year. I think we are on
- 7:21Speaker 2: a path to do that. Understand, Donald Trump campaigned on
- 7:25Speaker 2: ending this war. The American people elected him. That was
- 7:28Speaker 2: part of the mandate.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Is that.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I think the American people are done with a blank
- 7:34Speaker 2: check with sending billions of dollars to Ukraine with no limit,
- 7:38Speaker 2: just on and on for NonStop war. The American people
- 7:41Speaker 2: are ready for this to be over. Now, what I've
- 7:44Speaker 2: advised the President, what I've encouraged the President, is it
- 7:47Speaker 2: needs to end. It's going to end in a negotiated settlement,
- 7:50Speaker 2: but it needs to end in a way that is
- 7:51Speaker 2: a clear and discernible loss for Putin.
- 7:54Speaker 3: That is a.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Loss for Russia because Russia is not our friend. They
- 7:58Speaker 2: are our enemy, and we want weaker and not stronger. Now,
- 8:02Speaker 2: the media tried to say the meeting with Putin was
- 8:05Speaker 2: a disaster. The world was on fire, cats and dogs
- 8:07Speaker 2: living together, signs of the end, time to armageddon. And
- 8:11Speaker 2: then we had the meeting, yeah, in the White House,
- 8:14Speaker 2: with Zelenski and with the European heads of state, and
- 8:18Speaker 2: even with the dishonest corporate media, they couldn't spend this.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I want you to listen to the finished president his
- 8:24Speaker 2: assessment of what has happened in the last couple of weeks.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Give a listen. And by the way, Alex, I'd like
- 8:29Speaker 3: you to say a couple of words too. You're a young,
- 8:32Speaker 3: powerful man.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Before I finish up, I want you to say a
- 8:36Speaker 4: couple of words. Go ahead.
- 8:39Speaker 5: I'll take the notion of youth back to my wife
- 8:42Speaker 5: and try to convince her. Thank you very much, mister President.
- 8:45Speaker 5: I think in the past two weeks we've probably had
- 8:50Speaker 5: more progress in ending this war than we have in
- 8:53Speaker 5: the past three and a half years. And I think
- 8:55Speaker 5: the fact that we're around this table today is very
- 8:58Speaker 5: much symbolic in the sense that it's team Europe and
- 9:02Speaker 5: team United States helping Ukraine.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I mean, wow, well, Ben, that's exactly what you and
- 9:08Speaker 2: I said on Monday's pod, which is that we made
- 9:11Speaker 2: more progress towards peace in Ukraine in the last couple
- 9:15Speaker 2: of weeks than we have in three and a half years.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But when you and I were saying it, the media
- 9:18Speaker 2: dismisses it. You've now got the President of Finland saying that,
- 9:22Speaker 2: and by the way, not just Finland. I want you
- 9:24Speaker 2: to listen now to Keer Starmer from the United Kingdom,
- 9:26Speaker 2: give a listen.
- 9:27Speaker 6: Thinks it is such an important meeting as a group.
- 9:29Speaker 6: I think we've had a discussion on the phone a
- 9:32Speaker 6: number of times, was the President, but be able now
- 9:34Speaker 6: to be around the table to take it forward, and
- 9:36Speaker 6: I really feel that we can, I think, with the
- 9:40Speaker 6: right approach this afternoon, make real progress, particularly on the
- 9:44Speaker 6: security guarantees, and your indication of security guarantees of some
- 9:48Speaker 6: sort of Article five style guarantees fits with what we've
- 9:51Speaker 6: been doing with the Coalition of the Willing, which we
- 9:53Speaker 6: started some months ago, bringing countries together and showing that
- 9:57Speaker 6: we were prepared to step up to the plate when
- 9:59Speaker 6: it came security. With you coming alongside the US, alongside
- 10:04Speaker 6: what we've already developed, I think we could take a
- 10:07Speaker 6: really important step forward today. A historic step actually could
- 10:11Speaker 6: come out of this meeting in terms of security for
- 10:13Speaker 6: Ukraine and security in Europe. I also feel that we
- 10:18Speaker 6: can make real progress towards a just and lasting outcome.
- 10:24Speaker 6: Obviously that has to involve Ukraine and a trilateral meeting
- 10:28Speaker 6: seems the sensible next step. So thank you for being
- 10:31Speaker 6: prepared to take that forward, because I think if we
- 10:35Speaker 6: can ensure that that is the progress out of this meeting,
- 10:40Speaker 6: both security guarantees and some sort of progress on trilateral
- 10:44Speaker 6: meeting of some sort to bring some of the difficult
- 10:47Speaker 6: issues to a head, then I think today we'll be
- 10:51Speaker 6: seen as a very important day in recent years in
- 10:54Speaker 6: relation to a conflict which has gone on for three
- 10:56Speaker 6: and a bit years, and so nobody's able to bring
- 11:00Speaker 6: it to this point.
- 11:01Speaker 4: So I thank you for that no one's been able
- 11:03Speaker 4: to bring it to this point.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I think that is a very big accolade from the
- 11:07Speaker 1: leaders at the table. He also and I want to
- 11:10Speaker 1: get your explanation for people say understand this, because if
- 11:14Speaker 1: you don't understand it, it's complicated. Trump has pledged US
- 11:19Speaker 1: quote support for NATO style security guarantees. You heard it
- 11:22Speaker 1: mentioned there in that quote for Ukraine, while emphasizing that
- 11:26Speaker 1: Europe would serve quote as the first line of defense.
- 11:30Speaker 1: NATO officials also urge that this would be vitally important
- 11:35Speaker 1: to getting a deal done and even a ceasefire. So
- 11:38Speaker 1: explain NATO style security guarantees. What does that mean? For
- 11:43Speaker 1: people that don't understand.
- 11:44Speaker 3: That, well, listen.
- 11:45Speaker 2: One of the things that we covered in Monday's pod
- 11:49Speaker 2: is that Putin in the meeting in Alaska, he conceded
- 11:52Speaker 2: explicitly that there needed to be some clear security guarantees
- 11:55Speaker 2: for Ukraine that when this war comes to an end,
- 11:58Speaker 2: which I believe will happen this year, that Ukraine has
- 12:01Speaker 2: some confidence that they're not going to wake up in January, February,
- 12:04Speaker 2: and March and see Russian tanks once again crossing their borders.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I think the negotiated settlement will include some monokoo security guarantees. Now,
- 12:13Speaker 2: what it will not include is Ukraine joining NATO. And
- 12:17Speaker 2: I oppose Ukraine joining NATO. I've been vocal for a
- 12:20Speaker 2: long time Ukraine should not join NATO. Why is that
- 12:23Speaker 2: because under NATO, under Article five of NATO, the member
- 12:27Speaker 2: States of NATO take on an obligation to defend any
- 12:31Speaker 2: one of the members if they are invaded. And I
- 12:34Speaker 2: am not interested in a treaty obligation to put US
- 12:38Speaker 2: troops in harms way. I don't believe President Trump is
- 12:41Speaker 2: going to enter into any agreement that puts US troops
- 12:44Speaker 2: in harms way. And so the emphasis and you put
- 12:47Speaker 2: it exactly right, Ben, is that security guarantees should put
- 12:50Speaker 2: Europe on the front line. If the Brits, if the French,
- 12:53Speaker 2: if the Germans to want to commit, if Russia violates
- 12:57Speaker 2: the borders, they'll come in and defend Ukraine. Knock yourself out.
- 13:01Speaker 2: You guys believe in it. That's fine. We will facilitate
- 13:06Speaker 2: the resolution. But I do not think there is any
- 13:10Speaker 2: will to war on the part of the United States
- 13:12Speaker 2: to put US troops on the ground. And it's not
- 13:14Speaker 2: just me saying this. So I want you to listen
- 13:18Speaker 2: to Caroline Levitt, the White House Press Secretary, when she
- 13:21Speaker 2: was asked about this.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Here give a listen to what Caroline.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Had to say.
- 13:24Speaker 7: The President has definitively stated US boots will not be
- 13:28Speaker 7: on the ground in Ukraine, but we can certainly help
- 13:30Speaker 7: in the coordination and perhaps provide other means of security
- 13:33Speaker 7: guarantees to our European allies. The President understands security guarantees
- 13:37Speaker 7: are crucially important to ensure a lasting piece, and he
- 13:41Speaker 7: has directed his National Security team to coordinate with our
- 13:45Speaker 7: friends in Europe and also to continue to cooperate and
- 13:47Speaker 7: discuss these matters with Ukraine and Russia.
- 13:50Speaker 8: As well.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You listen to Caroline Levitt there, and there's a theme
- 13:54Speaker 1: that we continue to get from the Trump foreign policy doctrine.
- 13:57Speaker 1: It cannot always be America everything. He is holding other
- 14:02Speaker 1: countries accountable, saying you need to step up, Yes you
- 14:05Speaker 1: need to lead, Yes you need to do this. President
- 14:08Speaker 1: clarified three times, and that was my counting. It may
- 14:11Speaker 1: even be more, but I heard him three times clearly
- 14:14Speaker 1: say he had continued and saying it for a long time,
- 14:17Speaker 1: just like you mentioned opposition to Ukrainian NATO membership and
- 14:22Speaker 1: noted even that there may have to be territorial concessions
- 14:26Speaker 1: for a deal to get done. So again he's saying
- 14:28Speaker 1: to Europe and all these other leaders, you guys need
- 14:31Speaker 1: to step up. America is not going to fund all this.
- 14:34Speaker 1: We're not going to get in these wars. We're not
- 14:36Speaker 1: gonna do everything on the backs of American taxpayers. I
- 14:39Speaker 1: think that's very popular in this country right now.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I think that's right.
- 14:44Speaker 2: And listen, the contrast between this meeting and the last
- 14:48Speaker 2: meeting with President Zelensky in the Oval Office is night
- 14:51Speaker 2: and day. The last meeting, and we covered that extensively
- 14:54Speaker 2: on this podcast. The last meeting with Zelensky was a disaster.
- 14:59Speaker 2: It was a train wreck. It will go down in
- 15:01Speaker 2: history as the worst as the least successful Oval Office
- 15:06Speaker 2: meeting in history. Why because President Zelensky came in looking
- 15:10Speaker 2: to pick a fight with President Trump. He came in
- 15:13Speaker 2: arrogant and belligerent and demanding. He was like a petulant child.
- 15:18Speaker 2: You need to defend me, You owe it to me.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And I think Zelensky had spent too much time with
- 15:24Speaker 2: the New York Times and with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck
- 15:26Speaker 2: Schumer and believe their talking points. And I got to
- 15:29Speaker 2: tell you, look in this no US president would allow
- 15:35Speaker 2: a foreign leader to come into the Oval Office and
- 15:37Speaker 2: address him the way Zelensky did the last time, and
- 15:40Speaker 2: especially not Donald Trump. So it went very badly. This
- 15:43Speaker 2: time was night and day. As you noted, he put
- 15:45Speaker 2: on a suit, he demonstrated some respect. And listen, I
- 15:49Speaker 2: understand why Zelenski's position has been they don't want to
- 15:53Speaker 2: give up one inch of their territory. If if you
- 15:56Speaker 2: were the president of Ukraine, you'd probably say the same thing. Man,
- 15:58Speaker 2: I understand why he's said saying that, But that is
- 16:02Speaker 2: not America's national security interest. What is our national security
- 16:05Speaker 2: interest is that Russia and Putin not gets significantly stronger
- 16:11Speaker 2: because they're an enemy to America. And I'll tell you
- 16:13Speaker 2: I want to throw it down a marker that I
- 16:15Speaker 2: think is really important in terms of the negotiated settlement
- 16:18Speaker 2: that occurs here. I think energy is front and center.
- 16:22Speaker 2: We've talked a lot on this podcast about how Joe
- 16:25Speaker 2: Biden caused the war in Ukraine, that his weakness, the
- 16:29Speaker 2: disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan emboldened Putin and all of our enemies,
- 16:34Speaker 2: and also how Biden's waiving the sanctions on Nordstream two
- 16:38Speaker 2: caused this war. I authored those sanctions, I wrote that legislation.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Donald Trump signed those sanctions into law, and as Putin
- 16:47Speaker 2: said in Alaska just a couple of days ago, if
- 16:49Speaker 2: Trump had still been in the Oval Office, there would
- 16:52Speaker 2: be no war in Ukraine. Russia would not have invaded
- 16:56Speaker 2: in this settlement. What I think is very important, I
- 16:59Speaker 2: would like to see Ukraine and the rest of Europe
- 17:03Speaker 2: sign an agreement to buy their energy, buy their oil
- 17:06Speaker 2: and gas from the United States. And let's be clear
- 17:09Speaker 2: from Texas. Texas, we have the resources. That's good for America,
- 17:14Speaker 2: but they should not return to buying oil and gas
- 17:19Speaker 2: from Russia. When I meet with European heads of state
- 17:22Speaker 2: and foreign ministers, this is the number one question I
- 17:25Speaker 2: asked them. When this war is over, are you going
- 17:28Speaker 2: to go back to buying Russian oil and gas? Are
- 17:30Speaker 2: you going to go back to sending billions of dollars
- 17:33Speaker 2: to fuel the Russian war machine? Or are you going
- 17:36Speaker 2: to use this as an opportunity to pivot towards a
- 17:39Speaker 2: friend and ally.
- 17:40Speaker 3: And I think.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Leaving resolving this war with a major energy agreement for
- 17:46Speaker 2: Ukraine and Europe to buy their energy from America. I
- 17:50Speaker 2: think that is a powerful America first outcome, and it's
- 17:55Speaker 2: also an outcome where Putin will not have scored a
- 17:58Speaker 2: major victory. If that is the resolution, I hope very
- 18:02Speaker 2: much that's the direction the President takes this.
- 18:04Speaker 1: All of you know that I am a pro Second
- 18:07Speaker 1: Amendment guy. I've shared on numerous occasions how caring my
- 18:10Speaker 1: firearms saved my life from a gang related attack. But
- 18:13Speaker 1: for those of you out there with family members who
- 18:16Speaker 1: may not be comfortable having a gun by their side,
- 18:18Speaker 1: you still want them to be able to protect themselves
- 18:21Speaker 1: and others in times of danger. And that's where the
- 18:23Speaker 1: Burno Launcher comes in Berna is a handheld pistol that
- 18:27Speaker 1: fires both kinetic rounds and chemical irritants to separate you
- 18:31Speaker 1: from an attacker. And I'm here with Josh Cherrard from
- 18:33Speaker 1: Berna to share the true story of how an avid
- 18:37Speaker 1: hiker uses burning to stop an attacking mountain lion. Josh
- 18:40Speaker 1: tell us what happened?
- 18:41Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, Jason is an avid hiker deciding to
- 18:44Speaker 8: take his family out on a hiper he's done several times,
- 18:48Speaker 8: super easy, high but super fun, all armed with his Berna.
- 18:52Speaker 8: You know, this is one of those things where he
- 18:53Speaker 8: didn't expect to see anything, and all of a sudden,
- 18:55Speaker 8: on this hike, this mountain lion appears out of no work.
- 18:58Speaker 8: Of course, he sends his family on down the trail,
- 19:01Speaker 8: watches the line for a few minutes, realizing it's not
- 19:04Speaker 8: going away, so uses his burner, fires a few rounds
- 19:07Speaker 8: to scare it off. Continues down the trail, but unfortunately,
- 19:10Speaker 8: this mountain lion appears again, at which point he realized
- 19:14Speaker 8: he was going to have to up his aggression with
- 19:16Speaker 8: that burner. Fire's four rounds was able to strike the
- 19:19Speaker 8: mountain lion all four times at chest and torso, at
- 19:21Speaker 8: which point that mountain lion airs off, never to be
- 19:24Speaker 8: seen again. These guys make it down the trail, back
- 19:27Speaker 8: to their car and back to home safely. Fortunately, this
- 19:31Speaker 8: is all it took to make sure and get this
- 19:34Speaker 8: family back home safe off a hike that could have
- 19:36Speaker 8: taken an obvious turn for the worst.
- 19:38Speaker 1: And I'm going to guess that burner has been used
- 19:40Speaker 1: to stop other types of animal attacks as well.
- 19:43Speaker 8: Absolutely, we get stories all the time of users with
- 19:47Speaker 8: whether it be dogs or other wildlife. We even have
- 19:50Speaker 8: an ecological park whose security carries burna four bears out
- 19:55Speaker 8: in the smoky mountains out there. That's been effective there
- 19:58Speaker 8: as well, So once again not just a tool for people,
- 20:01Speaker 8: but very effective against animals as well.
- 20:03Speaker 4: It's really incredible.
- 20:04Speaker 1: If you want to get more information on how you
- 20:06Speaker 1: and your family member can protect themselves with the Burner launcher,
- 20:10Speaker 1: go to Berna dot com. That's by r Inna dot com.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Again by RNA dot com Burna dot com. All right,
- 20:20Speaker 1: let's go down this path because this is a very
- 20:22Speaker 1: interesting point and I want to ask you because I
- 20:25Speaker 1: look at Russia right now. Russia's economy is teetering. A
- 20:29Speaker 1: lot of people don't realize this. They really cannot afford
- 20:32Speaker 1: for this war to go on much longer. Part of
- 20:34Speaker 1: the reason why I'm guessing you're saying you believe this
- 20:37Speaker 1: timeline that we're going to end this war by the
- 20:38Speaker 1: end of this year, is the financial impact this is
- 20:42Speaker 1: having on Russia. And Vladimir Putin does not want to
- 20:44Speaker 1: get to the point where there's a revolt in his
- 20:46Speaker 1: country because they're so gone. Economically, there's also he needs
- 20:50Speaker 1: to start selling oil because that is what gives life
- 20:55Speaker 1: to his you know, being in charge of this country.
- 20:58Speaker 1: It gives him his power, or it makes the people
- 21:01Speaker 1: kind of sit back down and and and just go
- 21:04Speaker 1: along to get along in essence, which is the way
- 21:06Speaker 1: of life unfortunately under Vladimir Putin in Russia. But if
- 21:09Speaker 1: he doesn't get this done soon, he's in trouble economically.
- 21:13Speaker 1: You mentioned this agreement with the US these other countries.
- 21:17Speaker 1: How does that work. Does it say we're not buying
- 21:19Speaker 1: Russian oil and then Russia says, fine, we would just
- 21:21Speaker 1: keep lowering our price so eventually you'll bit it again.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Explain to me how that would work.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Look, I think you negotiate an agreement. Ukraine wants to
- 21:29Speaker 2: buy American oil and American natural gas, and this is
- 21:33Speaker 2: a little bit like predatory pricing in the antitrust context.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I think many European countries realize that Russia uses energy
- 21:41Speaker 2: for economic blackmail, that they offer low prices to get
- 21:44Speaker 2: Europe hooked. It's kind of like a drug dealer going
- 21:46Speaker 2: to a junior high saying here, try a free sample,
- 21:49Speaker 2: just enjoy it, and they're trying to get you hooked.
- 21:51Speaker 2: And Russia and Putin in particular, has a long history
- 21:55Speaker 2: then of jacking up prices when he wants to extort
- 21:58Speaker 2: Europe or cutting off energy supplies when he wants to
- 22:03Speaker 2: get concessions from them. Look, if you're in Europe and
- 22:06Speaker 2: it's the dead of winner and you're relying on gas
- 22:08Speaker 2: to heat your houses and Russia can shut you off,
- 22:11Speaker 2: that gives them enormous leverage. And Putin is demonstrated he
- 22:14Speaker 2: will use that leverage to engage in economic blackmail. So
- 22:18Speaker 2: it's not in Europe's interest to be dependent on Russia
- 22:21Speaker 2: for energy now. Right now, Russia is selling the bulk
- 22:25Speaker 2: of their oil and gas to China and to India.
- 22:29Speaker 2: And this is one of the lever points President Trump
- 22:31Speaker 2: has is that he is threatened or in post sanctions
- 22:34Speaker 2: against both India and China if they continue buying Russian
- 22:38Speaker 2: oil and gas. And that's one of the things I
- 22:40Speaker 2: believe that's bringing Putin to the table is that if
- 22:44Speaker 2: President Trump cuts off his market in China and India,
- 22:47Speaker 2: Putin is in a world of hurt. And so that's
- 22:49Speaker 2: an incentive for Putin to come in and say, all right,
- 22:52Speaker 2: let's reach a resolution. And I think we're going to
- 22:56Speaker 2: and it's going to be a resolution. Is Ukraine going
- 22:58Speaker 2: to get everything they want? No, but Russia's not going
- 23:01Speaker 2: to get everything they want either. And I'll point out,
- 23:05Speaker 2: you know, one really important point. I want to read
- 23:08Speaker 2: a tweet from Mark Penn. Now, Mark Penn is a
- 23:12Speaker 2: polster for the Clintons, for Bill Clinton, for Hillary Clinton.
- 23:15Speaker 2: He is a Democrat. Here's what Mark Penn tweeted out.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I think it's really important. He said, quote from what
- 23:21Speaker 2: I can see, nearly a million people have died in
- 23:25Speaker 2: the Ukraine War, and Biden was unable to attend G
- 23:29Speaker 2: seven meetings without embarrassing the country. In contrast, Trump is
- 23:36Speaker 2: pulling off unprecedented diplomatic feats to advance serious negotiations. That
- 23:43Speaker 2: has a reasonable chance of being successful, and the press
- 23:47Speaker 2: coverage of it has been ludicrous. If Obama had pulled
- 23:52Speaker 2: off these meetings, it would be hailed as a tour
- 23:56Speaker 2: de force rather than downplaying in naysaying every we see
- 24:00Speaker 2: in the press. He may or may not be successful,
- 24:05Speaker 2: but it is an incredible effort that should be respected
- 24:10Speaker 2: and applauded, and for the people involved, a new hope
- 24:14Speaker 2: for designing a lasting piece with real enforcement, unlike previous
- 24:20Speaker 2: empty security guarantees. That is a big deal for Mark
- 24:25Speaker 2: Penn to say that, and listen, I retweeted him today,
- 24:29Speaker 2: I said, bravo, bravo for saying that he's a Democrat.
- 24:33Speaker 2: I feel confident that Mark Penn is not a fan
- 24:35Speaker 2: of Donald Trump, but he is acknowledging reality. And I
- 24:40Speaker 2: don't know of an elected Democrat who is. I don't
- 24:43Speaker 2: know of a Democrat governor. I don't know of a
- 24:44Speaker 2: Democrat senator who is saying this and the media. I
- 24:49Speaker 2: don't want us to get over confident. You know, Reagan
- 24:52Speaker 2: famously said about the Soviet Union trust but verify. This
- 24:56Speaker 2: could go off the rails a thousand different ways. But
- 25:00Speaker 2: I believe President Trump is doing everything humanly possible to
- 25:04Speaker 2: resolve this at achieved piece, and that is unequivocally good.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Final two questions on this, and it deals with the
- 25:11Speaker 1: next steps for people that don't know what we're looking
- 25:14Speaker 1: at is by the way, Donald Trump apparently walked out
- 25:17Speaker 1: these meetings by himself, went to the Oval by himself,
- 25:20Speaker 1: made a phone called Vladimir Putin and said, let's let's
- 25:24Speaker 1: get a meeting. Apparently meeting number one would be between
- 25:27Speaker 1: him and Zelensky they're working on that, and then there
- 25:30Speaker 1: would be a trilateral meeting where he would in essence
- 25:33Speaker 1: be the negotiator in the room between Zelenski and Putin.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I found that very interesting that he said, you guys
- 25:41Speaker 1: meet first, I'll meet the next meeting, and said the
- 25:45Speaker 1: other way around. What did you think about that strategy
- 25:48Speaker 1: and why do you think he decided to do it
- 25:51Speaker 1: that way?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Look, I think he believes he's got the leverage to
- 25:55Speaker 2: try to push through a deal. And there's no doubt
- 25:58Speaker 2: he's got enormous leverage over Ukraine because the United States
- 26:01Speaker 2: has been the major funder of this war, and he's
- 26:05Speaker 2: got enormous leverage over Russia because the ability to impose
- 26:08Speaker 2: sanctions to shut down their ability to sell oil and
- 26:11Speaker 2: gas anywhere in the world that is powerful. And those
- 26:15Speaker 2: two together and listen, I just think force a personality.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I got to say, some of my favorite things watching
- 26:21Speaker 2: the last couple of days have been the memes and
- 26:23Speaker 2: and and and everything that has come out. When when
- 26:26Speaker 2: Trump and Putin were walking together and the b twos
- 26:28Speaker 2: fly over and you see Putin do a double take
- 26:31Speaker 2: as he like, yeah, literally buzzes Putin with American military might.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I think Trump is trying to use every tool he
- 26:41Speaker 2: has to resolve this. You know, it was striking Bill
- 26:45Speaker 2: Maher this week. He went on TV and to be clear,
- 26:48Speaker 2: Bill Maher is is no friend of Donald Trump. But
- 26:51Speaker 2: Bill Maher said, I'll tell you this, Trump wants peace,
- 26:55Speaker 2: he hates war. That is a really positive thing. And
- 27:00Speaker 2: and Hillary Clinton may well regret her tongue in cheek
- 27:03Speaker 2: comment that she would nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace
- 27:06Speaker 2: Prize if he resolved this. Now she put wiggle words
- 27:09Speaker 2: in there. So no matter what happened, she's gonna claim no, no, no,
- 27:12Speaker 2: he didn't resolve it to my satisfaction. But she's gonna
- 27:16Speaker 2: see that quote played back at her one hundred times.
- 27:20Speaker 1: You talk about the President having leverage, let's move to Washington,
- 27:23Speaker 1: d C. And everyone that said the President was like
- 27:27Speaker 1: being a dictator and a tyrant by sending in the
- 27:30Speaker 1: National Guard actually trying to fight crime. They said, this
- 27:33Speaker 1: was just him being a bully. He was obsessed with
- 27:36Speaker 1: the media. This is what tyrants and dictators do. He's
- 27:39Speaker 1: gonna roll the National Guard and militarize every city in
- 27:43Speaker 1: America that he doesn't like. That was the narrative. Well
- 27:46Speaker 1: guess what they got it wrong again. DC Crime since
- 27:50Speaker 1: the announcement of the Federal control versus the seven day
- 27:53Speaker 1: prior to that, we have that data NOL Center. Please,
- 27:57Speaker 1: for everyone that's listening, go through every category of a
- 28:01Speaker 1: shock right. I say that sarcastically. More law enforcement on
- 28:05Speaker 1: the street, law and order, what happens less crime?
- 28:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it turns out when you arrest criminals, you get
- 28:13Speaker 2: less crime. I know that's a shocking outcome. It's one
- 28:16Speaker 2: Democrats don't understand and the media doesn't understand. But everyone
- 28:20Speaker 2: whose head is not fully inserted up their rear end
- 28:23Speaker 2: gets that point. Here is a tweet from the DC
- 28:27Speaker 2: Police Union DC Crime since the announcement of Federal control
- 28:34Speaker 2: versus the seven Days prior robbery down forty six percent,
- 28:40Speaker 2: carjacking down eighty three percent, car theft down twenty one percent,
- 28:50Speaker 2: violent crime down twenty two percent, property crime down six percent,
- 28:59Speaker 2: and all all crimes down eight percent. That is in
- 29:05Speaker 2: one week, in seven days. And if you hear a
- 29:09Speaker 2: wailing in the distance, that is the collective wail of
- 29:13Speaker 2: pain and unhappiness of Democrats in the media. Because understood,
- 29:17Speaker 2: this is not hyperbole. They are rooting for the criminals.
- 29:20Speaker 2: They do not want crime to go down, because if
- 29:23Speaker 2: crime goes down, it vindicates President Trump exercising his constitutional
- 29:27Speaker 2: authority to concerning d C and exercising his authority is
- 29:32Speaker 2: explicit statutory authority under the DC Home Rule Act. The
- 29:36Speaker 2: Democrats do not want that.
- 29:37Speaker 4: No, they don't.
- 29:38Speaker 1: And there's also another aspect of this story, and that
- 29:42Speaker 1: is we now have the Justice Department that's investigating whether Washington,
- 29:46Speaker 1: DC police manipulated their crime data. Remember I was shoot
- 29:51Speaker 1: I was on scene in a week and a half,
- 29:52Speaker 1: two weeks ago, and they're like, your stats are wrong.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Crime is way down. The President doesn't need to do this,
- 29:59Speaker 1: everything's moving there direction. Well, it may have looked like
- 30:02Speaker 1: crime was down, but now the Justice Department's investigating whether
- 30:05Speaker 1: the DC police purposely willfully manipulate the crime data to
- 30:10Speaker 1: basically fake people out lie to the systems of DC.
- 30:14Speaker 1: And they said, no, no, everything's getting better from last year
- 30:17Speaker 1: when it was really, really, really bad.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Now it's not as bad.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And apparently they may manipulated the numbers, including a whistleblower
- 30:24Speaker 1: that they've settled with.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Look, I can tell you from someone who works in DC.
- 30:28Speaker 2: So most weeks I am in d C in the
- 30:30Speaker 2: Senate when the Senate's in session. And in the last
- 30:35Speaker 2: four years under Joe Biden, the violence in DC has
- 30:38Speaker 2: gotten much worse. We've seen Rand Paul had a staffer
- 30:42Speaker 2: who was stabbed on a public street at like four
- 30:44Speaker 2: in the afternoon, stabbed in the gut. There was a
- 30:48Speaker 2: guy who served in the first Trump administration who was
- 30:51Speaker 2: shot in the head. It killed at about five pm,
- 30:55Speaker 2: sitting in his car on a street in d C.
- 30:57Speaker 2: This is not two in the morning in a rough neighborhood.
- 31:00Speaker 2: This is in a major metropolitan street.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Uh.
- 31:03Speaker 2: We we had, uh, you know, not long ago, we
- 31:08Speaker 2: had to Israelis murdered by a radical Prohamas pro Palestinian
- 31:13Speaker 2: leftist zealot from Chicago and and and DC. As someone
- 31:18Speaker 2: who works there, you know it used to be when
- 31:21Speaker 2: when I started in the Senate. You know I would,
- 31:23Speaker 2: as you know, I love movies. We've done a couple
- 31:25Speaker 2: of podcasts where we talk about movies. When I started
- 31:28Speaker 2: in the Senate, I used to sometimes if there was
- 31:30Speaker 2: a night that I was done, Let's say I was
- 31:32Speaker 2: done at eight or nine o'clock at night, there's a
- 31:34Speaker 2: movie theater about five blocks from my house. I used
- 31:37Speaker 2: to routinely walk up to the movie theater and just
- 31:39Speaker 2: go see a movie. I don't do that now. I mean, frankly,
- 31:43Speaker 2: at nine o'clock.
- 31:44Speaker 1: At night, I know it's movie theater talking about Yeah,
- 31:46Speaker 1: no way you do that now.
- 31:47Speaker 2: At nine o'clock at night. You don't walk five blocks
- 31:50Speaker 2: in d C. I'll tell you. I've got a guy
- 31:54Speaker 2: in my security detail in Washington who's a tough guy.
- 31:58Speaker 2: He's he's he's been in some some some pretty rough
- 32:01Speaker 2: combat situations, you bet him. And he was walking back
- 32:06Speaker 2: to the Capitol at ten PM and he had two guys,
- 32:09Speaker 2: two teenagers, jump him and try to rob him. Now,
- 32:13Speaker 2: now Mark's a pretty tough guy, so he picked picked
- 32:15Speaker 2: up one of them. And body slammed them into the
- 32:17Speaker 2: back of a car and the two of them ran off.
- 32:20Speaker 2: But the violence in DC has gotten really significantly worse.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And you know, it's been interesting the reporters that are
- 32:32Speaker 1: his chairman, what he said about it.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yeah, the reporters that are honest, who are interviewing d
- 32:37Speaker 2: C residents, many of whom most of whom are African American.
- 32:41Speaker 2: The residents are saying, thank god, we think this is great.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Lock these criminals up. Look, the DC residents don't like
- 32:48Speaker 2: living with the risk of dry by sittings. Henry Quayar,
- 32:50Speaker 2: who is a Democrat congressman, was carjacked again in the
- 32:55Speaker 2: early evening. He was coming home with dinner to his apartment.
- 32:58Speaker 2: His apartment building, apparently five other congressman lived in. Carjacked
- 33:02Speaker 2: right out in the front of it. And here's what
- 33:05Speaker 2: Greg Pemberton, I want you to listen to Greg Pemberton,
- 33:08Speaker 2: who was the DC Police union chairman, what he said
- 33:11Speaker 2: about the security of DC under Democrats.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Give a listen.
- 33:14Speaker 9: The criminal justice system here in the District of Columbia
- 33:17Speaker 9: is broken. Every aspect of it is broken, whether that's policing, prosecution, judges,
- 33:22Speaker 9: and trials, sentencing and supervision. All of it is broken,
- 33:26Speaker 9: and you can trace every aspect of it back to
- 33:29Speaker 9: a piece of legislation that was passed by the Council.
- 33:32Speaker 9: They have destroyed policing, they have destroyed prosecutions, they have
- 33:35Speaker 9: destroyed the way that the courts are allowed to operate,
- 33:37Speaker 9: and they've destroyed our ability to sentence criminals to sentences
- 33:40Speaker 9: that are commensurate with the crimes they've committed. And so
- 33:43Speaker 9: the only way to fix this holistically is to go
- 33:45Speaker 9: back and look at all of this legislation that the
- 33:47Speaker 9: Council passed it back in twenty twenty when there was
- 33:50Speaker 9: all of this anti police rhetoric and work to undo that.
- 33:54Speaker 9: I know from my experiences the DC Council will never
- 33:57Speaker 9: do that on their own. And so what we're hoping
- 33:59Speaker 9: over the course of the next thirty days is that
- 34:01Speaker 9: whether that's the White House, whether that's these federal law
- 34:03Speaker 9: enforcement agencies, whether that's Congress, that people get an insight
- 34:07Speaker 9: into exactly how the system got so broken, because the
- 34:10Speaker 9: only way to fix it is if we can get
- 34:12Speaker 9: rid of that legislation. And my main concern is that
- 34:14Speaker 9: thirty days are going to go by all of these
- 34:17Speaker 9: folks are going to go up about their merry way
- 34:19Speaker 9: and we're still going to be stuck with all this
- 34:20Speaker 9: bad law.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Like He's like, we know what's wrong, we know it's wrong.
- 34:23Speaker 1: We know exactly what's wrong, and if they don't fix it,
- 34:26Speaker 1: we're going to be back here. Thank good as the
- 34:29Speaker 1: President stepped in here and the citizens. I go back
- 34:32Speaker 1: to the media narrative here center, the citizens overwhelmingly trust
- 34:37Speaker 1: Donald Trump to fight crime more than they trusted Joe Biden.
- 34:40Speaker 1: And the citizens in Washington, d C. Overwhelmingly or trusting
- 34:44Speaker 1: the strategy of Donald Trump then their own city council
- 34:48Speaker 1: members and their mayor. And that is a threat I
- 34:51Speaker 1: think to all these other high crime cities Memphis, Baltimore.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Detroit, New Orleans.
- 34:56Speaker 3: That'll still fish on.
- 34:58Speaker 4: San Francisco, LA.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Because yeah, if this works, how do you then say
- 35:04Speaker 1: no when the President offers you help or national guard.
- 35:08Speaker 2: So understand, this is the same principle with securing the border.
- 35:12Speaker 2: So a year ago at the State of the Union address,
- 35:14Speaker 2: Joe Biden said he could not secure the border. He
- 35:16Speaker 2: needed new legislation from Congress in order to secure the border.
- 35:20Speaker 2: We had at the time the highest rate of illegal immigration.
- 35:23Speaker 2: In our nation's history, we had criminals and murderers, and
- 35:25Speaker 2: gang members and rapists and child molesters and terrorists streaming
- 35:29Speaker 2: across the border, and he said he was helpless to
- 35:31Speaker 2: fix it. Donald Trump came in and the rate of
- 35:35Speaker 2: illegal border crossings dropped over ninety nine percent. As President
- 35:41Speaker 2: Trump said in the most recent State of the Union address,
- 35:44Speaker 2: it turns out we didn't need new legislation, We just
- 35:47Speaker 2: needed a new president. The same is true in DC.
- 35:51Speaker 2: If we see violent crime numbers continue to go down
- 35:54Speaker 2: and stay down, that demonstrates we can solve crime in
- 35:59Speaker 2: other cities too. And the reason residents of your city
- 36:03Speaker 2: are being murdered is because the Democrat mayors and the
- 36:06Speaker 2: Democrat city councils care more about the radical leftists who
- 36:10Speaker 2: hate the police, who want to defund the police, who
- 36:12Speaker 2: want to abolish the police, than they care about your family
- 36:15Speaker 2: and your children. Look at spoke Volumes when China's president.
- 36:19Speaker 2: She came to visit San Francisco a few years ago,
- 36:23Speaker 2: and Gavin Newsoen came in and cleaned up San Francisco
- 36:26Speaker 2: and took out the homeless people, and took out the
- 36:28Speaker 2: drug addicts and the streets were sparkling, and I got
- 36:32Speaker 2: to say, even if you are a left wing Bolshevik
- 36:36Speaker 2: in San Francisco, a tiny voice in the back of
- 36:39Speaker 2: your head must have said, wait a second, if they
- 36:43Speaker 2: could clean up the streets today, why didn't they clean
- 36:47Speaker 2: up the streets last week? Why do my kids matter
- 36:51Speaker 2: less than the president of China? And so this is
- 36:56Speaker 2: an existential threat to Democrats who want to say, where
- 37:00Speaker 2: they are helpless, we can't stop crime. And by the way,
- 37:02Speaker 2: part of their message is the only way to stop
- 37:04Speaker 2: crime is to disarm law abiding citizens. That gun control
- 37:10Speaker 2: doesn't solve it, but locking up violent criminals does, and
- 37:13Speaker 2: spoiler alert, that is what works in stopping violent crime.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Then the Democrats have a massive challenge. And I want
- 37:20Speaker 2: you to listen to Caroline Levitt talking about some of
- 37:22Speaker 2: the results.
- 37:23Speaker 3: We've seen in just one week in DC. Give a listen.
- 37:26Speaker 7: President Trump's efforts to make DC safe again are working.
- 37:29Speaker 7: There have been a total of four hundred and sixty
- 37:32Speaker 7: five arrests since the start of this operation on Thursday,
- 37:36Speaker 7: August seventh. Last night, there were a total of fifty
- 37:39Speaker 7: two arrests, including the arrest of an illegal alien MS
- 37:43Speaker 7: thirteen gang member with convictions for DWI and drug possession.
- 37:47Speaker 7: Thanks to President Trump's leadership in the outstanding work of
- 37:50Speaker 7: both federal and local law enforcement, dangerous gang members like
- 37:54Speaker 7: the one picked up last night will not feel allowed
- 37:56Speaker 7: on the streets of our nation's capital. Other arrest night
- 38:00Speaker 7: included assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing, parole violation
- 38:04Speaker 7: for robbery murder, outstanding warrant for attempted murder, assault on
- 38:09Speaker 7: federal law enforcement officer, and felony assault. Four more homeless
- 38:13Speaker 7: encampments were also removed during yesterday's reporting period. To date,
- 38:17Speaker 7: a total of forty eight homeless encampments have been cleared
- 38:20Speaker 7: in Washington, d C. By multi agency teams. MPD patrol
- 38:24Speaker 7: units are actively working with city officials to locate and
- 38:27Speaker 7: clear additional encampments and remove homeless residents off of Washington streets.
- 38:32Speaker 7: And despite fake narratives from the media, again, a significant
- 38:36Speaker 7: number of the arrests have been in high crime areas
- 38:39Speaker 7: of DC. In fact, nearly half of all of the
- 38:42Speaker 7: non illegal alien related arrests have occurred in Wards seven
- 38:47Speaker 7: and eight, the two wards that have the highest number
- 38:50Speaker 7: of violent crime as well as homicides and assaults with
- 38:53Speaker 7: dangerous weapons. Last year. So while Democrats continue to caudle
- 38:57Speaker 7: violent criminals, President Trump and thisstration are focused on putting
- 39:01Speaker 7: them behind bars and unapologetically standing up for the safety
- 39:05Speaker 7: of law abiding American citizens. And the White House will
- 39:08Speaker 7: continue to provide all of you with the results of
- 39:10Speaker 7: this operation in the days ahead.
- 39:13Speaker 1: By the way, this goes back to the narrative when
- 39:17Speaker 1: this was announced the President was going to do this.
- 39:19Speaker 1: That night, I was doing Abby's Phillips show on CNN
- 39:23Speaker 1: and all of the panelists are losing their minds saying,
- 39:26Speaker 1: Donald Trump, this was going to do nothing. They said,
- 39:29Speaker 1: He's putting them on the National Mall where there's no crime.
- 39:32Speaker 1: He's a dictator. They're not going to put the law
- 39:35Speaker 1: enforce it where the real crime is. That's why this
- 39:37Speaker 1: is a waste of resources. This is just him showing
- 39:41Speaker 1: and flexing his muscles that he can do this because
- 39:44Speaker 1: the present and this is what a dictator does.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Yet you're the crime set there.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Where are they fighting crime where the criminals are?
- 39:51Speaker 4: And I said it, then I'll say it again.
- 39:53Speaker 1: It's amazing how much the left and the media hates
- 39:56Speaker 1: Donald Trump so much. They don't even care if they're
- 40:00Speaker 1: able to save lives through this. They just hate the
- 40:03Speaker 1: fact that Donald Trump wants to fight crime. So whatever
- 40:06Speaker 1: he says he wants to do, we're going to fight
- 40:08Speaker 1: it and lie and slander him. And regardless of how
- 40:12Speaker 1: many people lose their lives in DC or any other
- 40:14Speaker 1: city when this comes out.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Yeah, look, that is exactly right. And I will point
- 40:19Speaker 2: out those very high crime neighborhoods in DC are overwhelmingly
- 40:24Speaker 2: African American and the woke left wing Democrat mayor painted
- 40:29Speaker 2: the words black lives Matter on the street at a
- 40:32Speaker 2: giant mural. They've removed that now, But when it comes
- 40:35Speaker 2: to actually protecting black lives, understand that a very significant
- 40:41Speaker 2: percentage of the murder victims from these violent criminals are
- 40:45Speaker 2: African Americans, and so Donald Trump and Republicans are stepping
- 40:49Speaker 2: in and saving black lives. And the position of Democrats
- 40:53Speaker 2: in the media is those black lives do not matter.
- 40:56Speaker 2: They'd rather they be victims of murder then actually have
- 41:01Speaker 2: law enforcement put violent criminals in jail. And ben when
- 41:05Speaker 2: I say that, that sounds unbelievably harsh, But I want
- 41:11Speaker 2: to ask you seriously, give me an alternative explanation. If
- 41:14Speaker 2: the explanation is not sure that the Democrats do not
- 41:19Speaker 2: give a damn about whether black lives matter and whether
- 41:23Speaker 2: they're saving African Americans from being victims of homicide, Then
- 41:26Speaker 2: why are they so adamantly opposed to supporting law enforcement
- 41:30Speaker 2: putting violent criminals in jail.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:33Speaker 1: No, this is the Democratic Party now. They'd rather see
- 41:35Speaker 1: Donald Trump fail than actually save American lives.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Don't forget. We do the show Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Also, this episode is up on YouTube, so if you

- 41:56Speaker 1: it wherever you can on social media and the Senator
