- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall well a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice? Come on dig me now one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show? Yeah man got one? Hey.
- 2:14Speaker 1: You know, um, I thought I think of my life
- 2:17Speaker 1: in terms of blessings. You know, I take mostly a
- 2:20Speaker 1: positive approach and a positive spin to my life. I
- 2:25Speaker 1: hardly ever dweil on. Uh you know the what's well.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I can't say that I don't think about the what's
- 2:31Speaker 1: wrong in it because I have to, because I have
- 2:33Speaker 1: to address problems as they arise. But I try not
- 2:37Speaker 1: to let them consume me. I let the consumption part
- 2:42Speaker 1: be about the blessings. The positive things that has occurred
- 2:46Speaker 1: in my life, the good things that God has done
- 2:49Speaker 1: for me, the power that He's displayed in my life,
- 2:53Speaker 1: the protection he's given me over the years, to being
- 2:56Speaker 1: tucked under his wings. I focus on the things that
- 3:00Speaker 1: He promises me. I think of all all the goodness
- 3:03Speaker 1: that I perceived to come my way, and I think
- 3:06Speaker 1: that has a lot to do with me learning more
- 3:09Speaker 1: and more about the law of attraction in terms of
- 3:12Speaker 1: you know, what you think and what you put out
- 3:15Speaker 1: in the space, and what you pray about is what
- 3:17Speaker 1: you receive, you know, and so I've become better and
- 3:21Speaker 1: better at that. It's not to say that I'm I'm
- 3:24Speaker 1: not human and I don't have moments where I think
- 3:28Speaker 1: a little bit too long about what's going wrong and
- 3:30Speaker 1: what enemy is is about to attack and what they're
- 3:33Speaker 1: gonna do and saying and all of is his. That's
- 3:36Speaker 1: not to con say that I'm not concerned about it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: But I try to duel mostly on the positive. And
- 3:42Speaker 1: one of the things that I learned, you can have
- 3:45Speaker 1: an incredible life, all of you, all of us, We
- 3:49Speaker 1: can have incredible lives if we just let God drive See.
- 3:55Speaker 1: The problem that I had years ago was I was
- 3:59Speaker 1: the dry ever of my life, and I was taking
- 4:02Speaker 1: myself in the directions that I thought would be best
- 4:06Speaker 1: for me. And I aimed at things that I thought
- 4:09Speaker 1: I could accomplish, and I set goals that I saw
- 4:14Speaker 1: myself being able to attain. I was driving when I
- 4:19Speaker 1: gave up and I let God drive. I then opened
- 4:23Speaker 1: up my mind and my spirit to what God had
- 4:28Speaker 1: for me, for what God could see for me, for
- 4:31Speaker 1: what God could do in my life, well, for what
- 4:34Speaker 1: God wanted for me. Now he wanted for me and
- 4:40Speaker 1: he wanted of me. See, that's the connection that you
- 4:43Speaker 1: got to try to make. Well, not try, that's the
- 4:46Speaker 1: connection that you gotta make to really get it. Now,
- 4:49Speaker 1: Listen to me. What I don't want you to do
- 4:51Speaker 1: is do like me. Don't be afraid of the what
- 4:54Speaker 1: for of the what he wants you to do part see,
- 4:58Speaker 1: because that ain't gonna be nearly a demanding and and
- 5:01Speaker 1: as offsetting as you think it's gonna be. See, I
- 5:04Speaker 1: thought that if I did God's will, that if I
- 5:07Speaker 1: let God tell me what to do, that it would
- 5:10Speaker 1: cause me to not to be able to do a
- 5:12Speaker 1: certain some things I wanted to do well, which is true.
- 5:15Speaker 1: But the stuff I wanted to do was all detrimental
- 5:18Speaker 1: to my well being and my future and my and
- 5:21Speaker 1: my growth and development as a man. I was stopping
- 5:24Speaker 1: my own growth as a man, because see, I was
- 5:27Speaker 1: doing what I thought I should do as a man.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But when you give it over to God, to God
- 5:32Speaker 1: has a much better plan for you than you can
- 5:34Speaker 1: ever have for yourself. And God knows a better way,
- 5:37Speaker 1: far better than the one you know. I want you
- 5:39Speaker 1: to believe that, Man, you gotta understand that part of it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And and that's the part that I finally got through
- 5:44Speaker 1: my head to let God do it his way and
- 5:47Speaker 1: to show me a better way, and to teach me
- 5:51Speaker 1: a better way and exposed to me a better way.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And when I opened up my mind to what God
- 5:56Speaker 1: was talking about, I began to see things totally differently.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And things started coming to me totally differently. If you've
- 6:04Speaker 1: been a friend of mine or a fan of mine
- 6:07Speaker 1: over the years, I mean, you've had to see it,
- 6:10Speaker 1: the change. You've had to see the difference, I mean,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and I and I acknowledge that every chance I get,
- 6:17Speaker 1: because I promised God I would, and I hope that
- 6:20Speaker 1: I'm not falling short in that category. But then again,
- 6:23Speaker 1: if I told it all day long, would he done
- 6:26Speaker 1: for me? I still wouldn't have enough time to really
- 6:28Speaker 1: explain thoroughly what he's done for me, because it's such
- 6:32Speaker 1: a continuous growth in me. But now that's not to
- 6:36Speaker 1: say that I'm finished or I'm done or I'm complete,
- 6:40Speaker 1: because I'm still short. And that's the cold thing about it. Man. See,
- 6:45Speaker 1: no matter how good you get at it, you ain't
- 6:47Speaker 1: gonna ever be the best you can be. You just not,
- 6:51Speaker 1: because you're gonna fall short. You can't be him. You
- 6:54Speaker 1: can strive for perfection. I hear people saying it all
- 6:57Speaker 1: the time. I applaud you for saying you want to
- 6:59Speaker 1: be perfect, but you ain't and you can't and you're
- 7:02Speaker 1: not and you aren't and you won't and you will not.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So you quit saying it. You could saying it to me,
- 7:10Speaker 1: quit saying it to other people. I'm seeking a life
- 7:13Speaker 1: of perfection, but it's something that you cannot have because
- 7:17Speaker 1: he said you can't do it. But that's what he'd
- 7:19Speaker 1: asked for, he'd have for the moments when you stumble
- 7:22Speaker 1: and you fall, and you gonna stumble and fall, So
- 7:24Speaker 1: you gotta get that part right. Man to stumbling falling
- 7:27Speaker 1: part is coming. But see, you get God in your
- 7:30Speaker 1: life and it helps you so that you don't stumble, fall,
- 7:34Speaker 1: wallow roll over, laid their languish. That's what God is for.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So when you stumbling fall, you get back up because
- 7:42Speaker 1: you're going to make mistakes. You're going to get it wrong.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You're going to come under attack, You're going to be
- 7:49Speaker 1: lied about, you are going to be falsely accused. That's
- 7:53Speaker 1: going to happen to you the moment you make a
- 7:56Speaker 1: decision to do better, the moment you try to be more,
- 8:00Speaker 1: the moment you try to get it right. The devil
- 8:03Speaker 1: got to send his attackers man, and he controls certain people.
- 8:07Speaker 1: He just got people as on his side. Seven. You
- 8:10Speaker 1: know him too. You you've all met one or two
- 8:13Speaker 1: of me in your life. They're just busy with the
- 8:16Speaker 1: business of nothingness. They're just busy about to do about
- 8:20Speaker 1: the destruction of others. You said, I know him, you
- 8:23Speaker 1: know him. They're coming. But here's what you gotta hold
- 8:26Speaker 1: fast too. They can't take away nothing from you that
- 8:30Speaker 1: God gave you. They didn't make you. See people who
- 8:34Speaker 1: claim to have made you, if they're so in to
- 8:38Speaker 1: make you business why don't they make theirselves? Or if
- 8:41Speaker 1: they ain't with you no more and they're so busy
- 8:44Speaker 1: in them. I made you business, why don't they make
- 8:47Speaker 1: somebody else? Since, just since you want to get credit
- 8:50Speaker 1: for making somebody make yourself, if you're responsible for someone
- 8:56Speaker 1: else's success, then you should easily be able to take
- 8:59Speaker 1: claim and be responsible for your own success. See, be
- 9:02Speaker 1: careful of that. And don't and and don't don't change
- 9:05Speaker 1: your course because somebody is attacking you with that. You
- 9:09Speaker 1: keep doing what you're doing. I just hope, man, that
- 9:12Speaker 1: I'm giving it to God the way I said I
- 9:14Speaker 1: would give it to him, that I would unload every
- 9:17Speaker 1: chance I got that I was supposed to without being
- 9:20Speaker 1: you know, or here he come again? You know. I
- 9:22Speaker 1: try not to be that, but man, I don't know
- 9:24Speaker 1: what else to be for the first twelve minutes of
- 9:26Speaker 1: my show. What else you want me to say? I
- 9:28Speaker 1: got four hours. I can't give God twelve twelve minutes, man,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I mean for real, Steve, come on, man, I mean,
- 9:34Speaker 1: let's look at this right here. It's like, for example,
- 9:38Speaker 1: it's like detox in your body, which is one of
- 9:40Speaker 1: the most healthy things you can do for your body,
- 9:42Speaker 1: is to detox your system and clean out the pipes
- 9:44Speaker 1: and the liver and the blood and get it all together,
- 9:47Speaker 1: give your kidneys a break in all like this, Okay, right, okay,
- 9:50Speaker 1: But to detox it properly, it takes twenty one days. Right.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And I hear a lot of people telling my twenty
- 9:56Speaker 1: one days I ain't got. But see, hold up, man,
- 9:58Speaker 1: if the twenty one day easy out of three hundred
- 10:02Speaker 1: sixty days a year, you ain't got twenty one to
- 10:05Speaker 1: straighten yourself out. You ain't got twenty one days to
- 10:08Speaker 1: give yourself a better shot at help. I mean that
- 10:11Speaker 1: that's crazy to me, once you wrap your mind around it. See,
- 10:15Speaker 1: And so like, if you're giving honor to God just
- 10:18Speaker 1: twelve minutes out the day, dog, he gave you twenty
- 10:21Speaker 1: four hours of luxury in life and breath and hope
- 10:25Speaker 1: and promise that you ain't got twelve minutes to give
- 10:27Speaker 1: him out the day. That don't make no sense. What
- 10:30Speaker 1: in exchange? What a wonderful life God has given me
- 10:34Speaker 1: in exchange for so small of effort that I put forth.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Don't let the effort you gotta put forth to God
- 10:39Speaker 1: seems so dawning that you don't attempt to do it,
- 10:42Speaker 1: because man, it seems like a lot. It ain't nothing
- 10:44Speaker 1: to compared to what he'd be given us for real.
- 10:47Speaker 1: So if you want a real life, you want a
- 10:48Speaker 1: real shot at what you can be, what you can have,
- 10:51Speaker 1: what you can own, what you can become who you
- 10:53Speaker 1: really are, go to God. Let him fix you. Man.
- 10:56Speaker 1: That's all ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people from
- 11:05Speaker 1: all around the world. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:08Speaker 1: We're starting off right now in a rather reserved tone.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It will change right after this. What's up man, don't
- 11:20Speaker 1: tell how you did this? Jokeing to do? What's up?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Tomming you top of the mooney, start off with the food,
- 11:27Speaker 1: your sock? What's up? Junor wonder love? But you saw
- 11:35Speaker 1: but I'll let him out. Hello in there talking big smack.

- 13:01Speaker 1: some beautiful flowers, of course, some beautiful flowers. I get
- 13:05Speaker 1: those a lot. But I love beautiful flowers. So at
- 13:08Speaker 1: the very least, flowers and probably nice dinner and and
- 13:14Speaker 1: that's it. I mean, it's Valentine's Day. I'm cool with that.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Flowers and a beautiful dinner, nice romantic dinner. Carla, what
- 13:21Speaker 1: are you expecting? And some shoes? Sorry? Shoes? Yeah? Yes, okay,
- 13:30Speaker 1: so flowers. My husband he's very romantic when it comes
- 13:33Speaker 1: to Valentine's Day. Birthdays and all that. So flowers dinner
- 13:37Speaker 1: and then Friday we'll probably have a date night and
- 13:39Speaker 1: go out to the movies and do it up for
- 13:42Speaker 1: the weekend. It's kind of hard with Valentine Pful. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 1: I want to see it. Yeah, that's it. That's all
- 13:57Speaker 1: most people I know. That's the movie. Yeah, to see
- 14:00Speaker 1: Black Panful for the weekend. Yeah, that's it. Steve my
- 14:06Speaker 1: Man lays it out all the time as it should be. Yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 1: what about your guys, Well, we gotta here, but yeah, yeah,
- 14:17Speaker 1: they probably have a lot, especially Steven. You know, Tommy
- 14:20Speaker 1: has something we see. Men gotta come to the game.
- 14:22Speaker 1: We gotta go to the plate Steven Brand. We're gonna
- 14:25Speaker 1: start with Tommy because Tommy is at another economic level.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So we're gonna start with Tommy and let y'all see
- 14:31Speaker 1: how its post to go. Bring it coming up next,

- 15:21Speaker 1: at any point in time. It's the only city that
- 15:25Speaker 1: don't move. They clock, they never change, they don't move it.
- 15:29Speaker 1: They don't move. I don't like daylight saving time. That's good.
- 15:35Speaker 1: They don't that one city. You that boy, You can
- 15:38Speaker 1: come straight out of spring Field o' high on simply

- 15:47Speaker 1: need to redo it. Well, welcome, welcome, welcome. Let me
- 15:52Speaker 1: tell you another story about four Wayne again. Four Wayne,
- 15:56Speaker 1: Indiana is the whole of Kevin Ferguson Snickus Ball. The
- 16:01Speaker 1: first TV show I ever did in my life was
- 16:03Speaker 1: called Nightshift. Night Shift with Kevin Ferguson Snickers Comedy Ball
- 16:08Speaker 1: is still there, and it was booked by a long
- 16:11Speaker 1: time woman named Elane steffic Elane Steffi introduced me to
- 16:17Speaker 1: Tim Allen. Tim she used to book Tim allendown at
- 16:22Speaker 1: the Biju Comedy Club, and she booked me down that
- 16:25Speaker 1: first time, and Tim Allen requested me there after, and
- 16:28Speaker 1: that began my role too with the first big headliner
- 16:31Speaker 1: nationally known, Tim Allen Handyman Home Improvement. Go ahead, Ladies
- 16:36Speaker 1: and gentlemen, Wayne, Indiana. Last Wayne story, the sickest I've
- 16:43Speaker 1: ever been in my stage life, happened one night before
- 16:48Speaker 1: performing at Snickers Comedy Ball. Snickers Comedy Ball. I was
- 16:52Speaker 1: on backstage just throwing up man. They said, man, you
- 16:57Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it. Huh, I haven't got paid. I
- 17:04Speaker 1: went out there and helified hysterical minutes, walked off stage,
- 17:11Speaker 1: went right back to throwing up. Wow. Fort Wayne and
- 17:14Speaker 1: the end Snickers Comedy Ball, Kevin Ferguson's Night Shill and
- 17:19Speaker 1: the legend Jus, Ladies and gentlemen, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Welcome
- 17:24Speaker 1: be nine nine r And being old school? What up
- 17:28Speaker 1: y'all have you do? Another Fort Wayne story later on?
- 17:33Speaker 1: That's the true story took all right, just go to
- 17:36Speaker 1: all time. Well, today is Valentine's Day, Steve, and we
- 17:39Speaker 1: wanted to find out what the guys, what you guys
- 17:42Speaker 1: have planned for today and for tonight because you know
- 17:46Speaker 1: today right I'm with Junior fo What happened don't be me.
- 17:53Speaker 1: You haven't Yeah, get your nephew, Steve have a wife,
- 17:58Speaker 1: you don't shut your stupid behind various boiled and who
- 18:03Speaker 1: gets everything in this world? I'm tired. I started an
- 18:07Speaker 1: argument last night that we couldn't even get to this
- 18:10Speaker 1: mass and it ain't gonna make up till next wings strategic?
- 18:19Speaker 1: What was the argument about? Yes? Now, what's out there? This?
- 18:22Speaker 1: What do I have to worry about that? What's out this? Easter? Mother?
- 18:26Speaker 1: Just going back find you? Just going backfind you? You
- 18:31Speaker 1: know I love huh? I love her? If you're listening,
- 18:36Speaker 1: I love the show. Yeah, it's a verb action baby.
- 18:42Speaker 1: But after you said, right before that, you said on
- 18:46Speaker 1: the air you started the argument last Right before that
- 18:50Speaker 1: you said for who Now, if she listening, you think
- 18:56Speaker 1: the fact that you said, she know I love her?
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's fitting the fick them too ignorant statements, you may
- 19:03Speaker 1: And then I started go ahead when you started argument.
- 19:07Speaker 1: The reason why I started it is because makeup sex
- 19:12Speaker 1: is the best sex. But you can't get to it
- 19:15Speaker 1: unless you gotta argument. Okay, let me ask you a question.
- 19:20Speaker 1: We're killing two birds and one stone. What was the
- 19:23Speaker 1: argument about great sex? And I ain't got the boy
- 19:28Speaker 1: who don't like this here, I don't. I'm sure your
- 19:32Speaker 1: wife doesn't. First of all, this isn't that this is
- 19:35Speaker 1: going to backfire because let me ask you a question, Thomas,
- 19:39Speaker 1: have you ever ever want an argument with this woman? Never?
- 19:46Speaker 1: It ain'tbody winning. So the one you started last night,
- 19:51Speaker 1: how did in the outcome of that you expect to
- 19:53Speaker 1: be hot in wind next Wednesday? We ain't speaking to
- 19:58Speaker 1: each other right now. I'm telling you this is me
- 20:04Speaker 1: who has nobody wants somebody now as we're talking about roses,
- 20:08Speaker 1: it's roses all out in the front yard. It's plenty
- 20:11Speaker 1: of roses out there. When you when you pull in
- 20:14Speaker 1: and pull out, roses rose everywhere. Bazelio. Steve hes gonna
- 20:20Speaker 1: be in divorce. Call you better talk to him. No,
- 20:22Speaker 1: we could now this logic ain't working, take it from us. No,
- 20:28Speaker 1: So y'all live, y'all life differently hopefully absolutely thee Yeah wow,
- 20:40Speaker 1: So you start an argument right the day before. I
- 20:44Speaker 1: actually I started brewing it Monday. I kicked it in too.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It's full blown to to night. Whenesday today, we ain't talking.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I kind of blame this son, you though, Steve, really yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 1: because he's your nephew. You think you helped couple bad responsibility,
- 21:07Speaker 1: You helped boy, you helped raise him. You know I failed?
- 21:13Speaker 1: You cool with it, you get admitted he didn't want
- 21:17Speaker 1: them all. I failed miserably so and I've been admitted
- 21:26Speaker 1: to this. I admitted to this failure when he was
- 21:28Speaker 1: twenty five. I failed, and I'm not bore responsibility for
- 21:34Speaker 1: this boy since the alright, there's twenty five years. I
- 21:37Speaker 1: already know well, somebody has to take responsibility about him.
- 21:42Speaker 1: The nephews coming up with run that prank back right

- 30:05Speaker 1: All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:07Speaker 1: Miss Anna is gonna be here with today's national news
- 30:10Speaker 1: and we'll have our Winter Olympics Report. Steve sokay, ready,
- 30:13Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Show. All right. Happy Valentine's
- 30:20Speaker 1: Day everyone, Steve. We still want to hear part two
- 30:23Speaker 1: of your romantic Day for your wife today, but before
- 30:27Speaker 1: we get to that, it is time for our Winter
- 30:29Speaker 1: Olympics Report. We all know about the endorsement deals Olympians
- 30:33Speaker 1: get for winning gold, but did you know the United
- 30:35Speaker 1: States Olympic Committee gives athletes a cash prize for each
- 30:39Speaker 1: winning medal. I don't know that each gold medal earns
- 30:43Speaker 1: an athlete about thirty seven grand, silver gets twenty two thousand,
- 30:48Speaker 1: five hundred and bronze gets fifteen thousand. All right, Steve,
- 30:52Speaker 1: So so can you explain curling again? Please? What is
- 30:56Speaker 1: it now? Tommy says, it's like shuffleboard on ice. Is
- 31:02Speaker 1: that pretty close? I look at it differently. I've actually
- 31:08Speaker 1: played it. I like it. It's a circle. Okay, it's
- 31:11Speaker 1: a nice You have to wear these pads on your
- 31:13Speaker 1: shoes to help you not slip so much. Okay. It
- 31:17Speaker 1: starts with the lunch like glide, similar to the way
- 31:22Speaker 1: I leave my house in the morning to get That's
- 31:29Speaker 1: how cool people look when they leave. So I just
- 31:37Speaker 1: ease out the dough now. It doesn't require a hard
- 31:42Speaker 1: throwing motion. It requires a glide slide with a very
- 31:49Speaker 1: soft release aimed at the circle. Oh, man, as the
- 31:56Speaker 1: stone it's perused. Your job is to god the people
- 32:03Speaker 1: out there. That's what they call sweeping, and you yell
- 32:09Speaker 1: instructions if you want to sweep harder, left, right, softer
- 32:14Speaker 1: r Oh, that's what they're saying what they were saying
- 32:22Speaker 1: her hot hard hard. I mean he got really really
- 32:33Speaker 1: brushed down him. Yeah to London, Okay, getting black people
- 32:39Speaker 1: doing this, so yeah, I was I was the only
- 32:45Speaker 1: black person out there that day. Okay, let me, let me,
- 32:52Speaker 1: let me ask this question. I damn sure. The Nigerian
- 32:55Speaker 1: stone curling too, letting it can the sport you told
- 33:01Speaker 1: me about where they lay down on their back and
- 33:04Speaker 1: they shoot this through this whole course. What is what
- 33:08Speaker 1: is the strategy of that once they push off? What's
- 33:11Speaker 1: what makes you go faster? Somebody got in jail that
- 33:15Speaker 1: damn ice. But I mean, but but what makes you
- 33:19Speaker 1: get faster than the other person? That's what I don't understand.
- 33:21Speaker 1: What are you doing? You lean in a certain way,
- 33:23Speaker 1: I don't know. You ride the course faster than somebody else,
- 33:27Speaker 1: the opicists without scraping against them side. You scrape against
- 33:35Speaker 1: the side, you lose time. And don't you have to
- 33:37Speaker 1: lift your head up a little bit steam so you
- 33:39Speaker 1: can see where you're going? Well, Shelly, you all want
- 33:41Speaker 1: to just laid back in the enjoy the damn ride.
- 33:46Speaker 1: What are you doing? You're looking back where you can
- 33:48Speaker 1: came from the now. You gotta look down there, throw
- 33:51Speaker 1: your ass something them staying somewhere at you post, lift
- 33:56Speaker 1: your head and a nobody just throwing the ass down,
- 34:02Speaker 1: just asking Suirley, surely you're gonna have to ask more
- 34:05Speaker 1: atletic questions. This is we don't want to, so we
- 34:09Speaker 1: don't want to land right, better look up. If you
- 34:15Speaker 1: don't look up in that curve coming, you ain't sitting
- 34:18Speaker 1: in the clinging your ass up in the North Korea something.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I don't want that. Alright, this is here with more
- 34:30Speaker 1: get your wife break Steve well, I guess we shoot
- 34:40Speaker 1: everybody head up here. She co heads up the lung
- 34:46Speaker 1: off into Korea's him. It's trip okay, thank you very much, everybody.
- 34:55Speaker 1: This is and trip. Yes, I am here. Top and
- 34:57Speaker 1: tel Just officials are issuing a warning to the nation's amakers.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Get up, listen to this everybody. They believe that the
- 35:03Speaker 1: Russians and the North Koreans are gearing up to interfere
- 35:06Speaker 1: in this year's midterm elections. National Intelligence Director Dan co
- 35:09Speaker 1: says the threat is real with respect to Russian influence efforts.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Let me be clear, the Russians utilized this tool because
- 35:18Speaker 1: it's relatively cheap. It's low risk, it offers what they
- 35:22Speaker 1: perceive as plausible deniability, and it's proven to be effective.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Intelige officials have already concluded that the Russians medal in
- 35:29Speaker 1: our last presidential election. And now with questions still swirling
- 35:33Speaker 1: about and how the now former White House Staff Secretary
- 35:35Speaker 1: Rob Porter and how he served the Trump administration with
- 35:39Speaker 1: not one but two x wives saying that he was
- 35:41Speaker 1: physically abusive, they had the FBI Christopher Ray is contradicting
- 35:44Speaker 1: the story that the White House has been putting out
- 35:46Speaker 1: that the FBI's background check of Porter was still in
- 35:49Speaker 1: the process of being completed. The FBI director has told
- 35:52Speaker 1: the Senate Committee that the agency's report on Porter was
- 35:55Speaker 1: completed last July. Soon thereafter, we received requests for follow up,
- 36:00Speaker 1: and we did the follow up uh and provided that
- 36:03Speaker 1: information in November, and that we administratively closed the file
- 36:07Speaker 1: in January. The Trump White House claims that they didn't
- 36:11Speaker 1: know about the domestic violence allegations for sure till last week,
- 36:14Speaker 1: and that as soon as they did, they did the
- 36:16Speaker 1: right thing. Israeli police are reportedly recommended to Prime Minister
- 36:20Speaker 1: Benjamin that Yeah will be charged with bribery and corruption
- 36:23Speaker 1: in two cases. The Israeli media, saying though it's up
- 36:26Speaker 1: to that country's attorney generals to decide whether or not
- 36:28Speaker 1: to indict him. Not not did not you insist on
- 36:30Speaker 1: his innocence. Two members of Congress to New York members
- 36:33Speaker 1: said that the Trump administration has told hundreds of Puerto
- 36:36Speaker 1: Rican families evacuated to hotels after her came Maria that
- 36:40Speaker 1: they have to go back to their homes will find
- 36:41Speaker 1: someone else to live after Today. Native Alaskis and Jose
- 36:45Speaker 1: Sano say that the about two hundred families have to go,
- 36:48Speaker 1: and they're asking the government to extend that hotel program
- 36:50Speaker 1: to at least June one. And yesterday is Frederick Douglas Day,
- 36:53Speaker 1: ash Wednesday and smooches for every one day. Okay, my
- 37:00Speaker 1: smooches are kind of funny. We'll back with more entertainment
- 37:02Speaker 1: in today's trending topics. That twenty minutes after the hour
- 37:05Speaker 1: on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the
- 37:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show. Former White House aid and reality TV
- 37:12Speaker 1: star Amarossa once again spoke up about President Trump in
- 37:17Speaker 1: the White House. You know she's on that show, Celebrity
- 37:19Speaker 1: Big Brother. I don't know if you guys had a
- 37:21Speaker 1: chance to see it. But during the episode, yeah, I'm
- 37:24Speaker 1: Rossa Warren that those hoping for Donald Trump's impeachment. Ah,
- 37:28Speaker 1: you better think twice about that, she says, because Vice
- 37:31Speaker 1: President Mike Pence is what she calls scary. Take a listen.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Can I just say this as badish, I don't think
- 37:39Speaker 1: Trump is. You would be worried about Pence. Everybody that's
- 37:45Speaker 1: wishing for impenent might want to reconsider their life. We
- 37:50Speaker 1: would be begging for days of Trump back if Pence
- 37:52Speaker 1: became president. That's all I'm saying. He's extreme. I'm Christian.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I love Jesus, but he thinks Jesus tells him to
- 38:02Speaker 1: say things like Jesus I say that I wish. Oh well,
- 38:10Speaker 1: that's the first thing she said. That's true. I agree
- 38:13Speaker 1: with that on the show. Yeah you have that. Yeah
- 38:20Speaker 1: my kids. Yes. Also, while talking to other CATS members
- 38:24Speaker 1: in the house, some A Rosa claimed that Trump's administration
- 38:27Speaker 1: crackdowns on immigrants are going to get worse. Check this out.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Barack Obama's administration said, if you sign up and basically
- 38:37Speaker 1: out yourself that you're here, I won't protect you. As
- 38:41Speaker 1: a result, all these people signed up, outed their families,
- 38:44Speaker 1: their children, people who were in hiding. Then Donald Trump
- 38:47Speaker 1: got in, it was like, yeah, that was his little
- 38:49Speaker 1: executive order, and now that someone else's charge, is that going? Well,
- 38:52Speaker 1: I look at this register. Now we know where you are,
- 38:53Speaker 1: we can find you. I guess what the crackdowns are happening,
- 38:56Speaker 1: and their aggressive and they're intentional, and they're to get worse.
- 39:02Speaker 1: You know, it's just weird them talking about politics period
- 39:06Speaker 1: on these reality shows. Now, it's just kind of strange,
- 39:09Speaker 1: especially to this degree. I'm surprised she can say as
- 39:12Speaker 1: much as she can say this because politics has changed.
- 39:17Speaker 1: The election of President Trump has changed the game, because
- 39:22Speaker 1: it's a new landscape now, It's never been done this way.
- 39:25Speaker 1: First of all, no president has ever tweeted, No president
- 39:29Speaker 1: has outwardly said the things he said and been allowed
- 39:33Speaker 1: to get away with it. Because, like Van Jones said,
- 39:35Speaker 1: people are trying to make this out as normal. This
- 39:39Speaker 1: is not normal. It's abnormal. He has drained the swamp
- 39:44Speaker 1: as he promised it, but he has filled it with
- 39:47Speaker 1: new creatures that we have never seen before. And so
- 39:54Speaker 1: what she's saying is true. All of these people who
- 39:58Speaker 1: signed up, he go going down this list he going
- 40:01Speaker 1: to get to did you hear about that doctor that
- 40:04Speaker 1: he was a study in medicine or something, got of
- 40:06Speaker 1: family over here. They didn't took him. Oh oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 40:10Speaker 1: that happened some yeah, a while ago. Yeah. He's been
- 40:14Speaker 1: a citizen all this time and he's ye yep, alright,
- 40:18Speaker 1: coming up next more of this craziness. Right after this,
- 40:22Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Valentine's Day, as
- 40:27Speaker 1: we've established, and it just is Valentine's Day. Love love, love, love, love,
- 40:32Speaker 1: and uh it's also ash Wednesday today, Steven, we wanna
- 40:36Speaker 1: do a version of asked Steve. Okay, let's go. I
- 40:40Speaker 1: gotta question, Yeah, okay, love is fill in the blank?
- 40:46Speaker 1: Love is? Can I give a description of it? Yeah?
- 40:51Speaker 1: Whatever you want your answer. I think that real love
- 40:54Speaker 1: is all encompassing me and it takes everything into consideration,
- 40:58Speaker 1: our person's qualities, of person's flaws, the good points to
- 41:04Speaker 1: bad points, the positive to negatives. I think real love
- 41:09Speaker 1: is all encompassing. If you really in love with somebody,
- 41:14Speaker 1: you become tolerant and you try to work through the
- 41:18Speaker 1: differences that you have, and you try to understand the
- 41:23Speaker 1: flaws of your partner, because everybody got them. Everybody got them,
- 41:29Speaker 1: And so I think real love is encompassing of it all.
- 41:32Speaker 1: You have the ability to try to be understanding and
- 41:35Speaker 1: work with and then the things you can tolerate, you
- 41:38Speaker 1: tolerate things you can't. You put it on table and
- 41:41Speaker 1: see if y'all can't come some type of company with wisdom,
- 41:48Speaker 1: some wis y'all want the other side of it, Tommy,
- 41:55Speaker 1: Love is filling the blade. It's what you tell else
- 42:00Speaker 1: somebody when you're trying to get something. Particularly, That's what love.
- 42:04Speaker 1: A lot of people said and don't mean it. It's
- 42:07Speaker 1: just something you say said you can get what you're
- 42:10Speaker 1: trying to get. That's what love is, just saying that.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Another question, Tommy, go ahead, Who do you love more
- 42:19Speaker 1: than anybody else? Is who I love? On it myself.
- 42:28Speaker 1: I don't love no about more than I love me.
- 42:31Speaker 1: I love me some me. I ain't never get in
- 42:35Speaker 1: the way of me. Why I'm gonna live at somebody
- 42:39Speaker 1: more than I love me? Why would I? Why would
- 42:41Speaker 1: I don't think put you first? Am I not gonna
- 42:47Speaker 1: love me first? That's just like when president just go vote,
- 42:50Speaker 1: they vote for themselves. They don't vote for the other
- 42:53Speaker 1: person time. No, you don't vote for the other person.
- 42:56Speaker 1: That's stupid, man, love you attitude any more questions? Let
- 43:08Speaker 1: me recover from that. No, that that you don't even
- 43:11Speaker 1: have to recover. All right, let's talk about commitment, Steve.
- 43:15Speaker 1: What's the difference between love and commitment. Well, you can
- 43:21Speaker 1: love a person and not be committed to him. That
- 43:25Speaker 1: that's done all the time. That's the commitment is you
- 43:30Speaker 1: has to be from your standpoint. The commitment has to
- 43:34Speaker 1: be come from your standpoint what you're willing to give
- 43:38Speaker 1: another person and how you really value yourself and not
- 43:45Speaker 1: only yourself, but what you have with the other person.
- 43:48Speaker 1: That produces a stronger level of commitment, and it puts
- 43:53Speaker 1: it at a higher risk value. You take less risk.
- 43:57Speaker 1: You're more committed. You when you when you really involved
- 44:02Speaker 1: and you don't want to lose what you have you keep,
- 44:05Speaker 1: commitment increases. But you can't love a person to not
- 44:08Speaker 1: be committed to him. Though. Let's ask for real question.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Can you learn three people? Yes, you can, Tommy, thank you,
- 44:14Speaker 1: thank you, I knew it. Not I knew it, And
- 44:18Speaker 1: you will get busted and you will have to pay.
- 44:21Speaker 1: All right, more from Steve. When we come back. We're
- 44:23Speaker 1: gonna have his dues and don'ts for Valentine's Day. You're
- 44:26Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 44:30Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after, it's
- 44:32Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letter. But up next, Fort Wayne, Indiana nephew
- 44:37Speaker 1: Tommy is here. That's him right there with today's prank
- 44:41Speaker 1: phone call. That's me. I'm giving up your wife for Lynn.
- 44:47Speaker 1: See right there. Sorry, Fort Wayne, but you know what,
- 44:51Speaker 1: ain't just supposed to give up some for yes Wednesday today,
- 44:57Speaker 1: I'm giving up your wife for Lynn. It's ash Wednesday today. Yeah,
- 45:05Speaker 1: we'll talk about it that. He has a story about
- 45:09Speaker 1: that too, you know he does. He does. Oh, we
- 45:11Speaker 1: gotta I love that one. Let's right, giving up your
- 45:23Speaker 1: wife for let Here it is Hello, Hey, I'm trying

- 45:41Speaker 1: name is cliff Man. I wanted to reach out and
- 45:43Speaker 1: holllet you about a couple of things if you if
- 45:44Speaker 1: you got a minute, you got a minute? Yeah, everything
- 45:47Speaker 1: all right with my wife. Is something wrong or something no? No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 45:51Speaker 1: your wife good? Man, your wife good. I wanted to
- 45:53Speaker 1: hit you up. Man. We've been working the post office
- 45:55Speaker 1: quite a while. We've probably been in the same room
- 45:57Speaker 1: a few times. Man, I don't know if you remember
- 45:59Speaker 1: me me or not, but okay, but what I wanted
- 46:02Speaker 1: to say, Man, is trying to do better with my life,
- 46:05Speaker 1: dog and you know, just just trying to do better,
- 46:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So you know, for for lift, Man,
- 46:11Speaker 1: I gave up a few things. You know what I'm saying.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I just thought that would be a good thing, man,
- 46:17Speaker 1: to try to do the things that matter the most, uh,
- 46:19Speaker 1: that you're addicted to, you know, you want to get
- 46:21Speaker 1: rid of you know what I'm saying, at least for
- 46:23Speaker 1: Lent is what I'm trying to do. You feel me. Okay,
- 46:27Speaker 1: I'm kind of confused. But what they got to do
- 46:30Speaker 1: with me, well, basically, man, I'm I'm giving up for Lynn.
- 46:36Speaker 1: You know, I decided to give up uh, messing around
- 46:40Speaker 1: with your wife, you know, because because who who hold on? Man?
- 46:45Speaker 1: Hold on? Man, I'm at work. I don't know what
- 46:48Speaker 1: you're come back, but back up and rephrase everything you
- 46:52Speaker 1: just said. Well, like I say, Man, for Lynn, I'm
- 46:55Speaker 1: trying to I'm trying to give up stuff that I'm
- 46:58Speaker 1: that I'm addicted to, you know. And I just said
- 47:01Speaker 1: what they got to do with me and my wife
- 47:02Speaker 1: though and you. But that's what I'm trying to tell you, Man,
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to give up messing around with your wife
- 47:08Speaker 1: for Lynn. I mean, that's what I have given up.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I've given up messing around with your wife for Lynn. Man,
- 47:13Speaker 1: we're talking about man, messing around with my wife. Man,
- 47:16Speaker 1: got no time for no games right now? Who this man?
- 47:19Speaker 1: What's what's your name? Again? This is Cliff Man I
- 47:23Speaker 1: actually worked with for the last ten twelve years. But
- 47:26Speaker 1: but what I wanted to really let you know is,
- 47:28Speaker 1: you know, her schedule probably gonna change because what we
- 47:30Speaker 1: used to be doing we ain't doing. So she's probably
- 47:32Speaker 1: gonna be coming home a little bit earlier, things like that.
- 47:35Speaker 1: But I don't I don't want you getting addicted to it,
- 47:37Speaker 1: because you know, after Lynn is over, then you know
- 47:41Speaker 1: we'll be back what we used to do. Man, what
- 47:43Speaker 1: is you talking about? Man? Hold on? Is my wife's
- 47:46Speaker 1: going to be home in a minute. We're gonna talk
- 47:48Speaker 1: about all this with me. Man, I'm about to go
- 47:51Speaker 1: Hold on, what what are you? Are you in the
- 47:53Speaker 1: city right now? Can I can I meet with you
- 47:55Speaker 1: right now? Cliff? Right? Okay? But what I'm what I'm
- 47:58Speaker 1: trying to say, Well, I'm saying I'm trying to do better.
- 48:00Speaker 1: You know, I gave up trying to do better. That
- 48:03Speaker 1: sounds like a bunch of to me. I got something

- 48:09Speaker 1: I mean, ain't you feeling me? Don't trying to do better? Though?
- 48:11Speaker 1: I ain't feeling the thing you calling me telling me
- 48:14Speaker 1: my wife. I think we need to meet up and
- 48:16Speaker 1: talk about this face to face. Clip what you think?
- 48:19Speaker 1: I mean? We talked right now? If you want to
- 48:20Speaker 1: have a conversation, No, no, no, you just tell me
- 48:24Speaker 1: your address and me and my wife's beend to just
- 48:26Speaker 1: come on over there. How about that and we all
- 48:29Speaker 1: said down and have a little power. I don't know
- 48:31Speaker 1: who thank you is, man, but me and my wife
- 48:34Speaker 1: been together over fifteen years and we ain't never had
- 48:37Speaker 1: no problems with no like this, like the you're telling

- 48:56Speaker 1: I'm hearing you. Man, what I'm saying, the reason for
- 48:59Speaker 1: the call was to let you know, you know, don't
- 49:01Speaker 1: get used to her schedule because after litt it's gonna
- 49:04Speaker 1: be back to the way it used to beat. That's
- 49:06Speaker 1: all the phone. What's the is you talking about? We're

- 53:33Speaker 1: and as we just mentioned, of course, it's also ash Wednesday. Steve,
- 53:37Speaker 1: right before we get to the Strawberry Letter. We would
- 53:39Speaker 1: love to hear this story, I mean, because we just
- 53:43Speaker 1: love it every year. So we have new affiliates to
- 53:49Speaker 1: some people that have never heard this story yea before.
- 53:51Speaker 1: It's one of my favorite. We just got fort Wayne,
- 53:55Speaker 1: so you know, you gotta tell so they can get
- 53:57Speaker 1: to know us. I worked at Ford Motive coming and uh,
- 54:01Speaker 1: it's a windy which I knew nothing about. That's what
- 54:06Speaker 1: I said. So I don't know anything about this because
- 54:14Speaker 1: I'm not Catholic. I had no idea what it was.
- 54:19Speaker 1: So I worked with this white dude. We was real
- 54:21Speaker 1: cool at the world a job. Man. We were like
- 54:23Speaker 1: best best boys, worked right next to each other in
- 54:26Speaker 1: all pits, all pumps, we should put all pumps on
- 54:31Speaker 1: and so you know that job, I just got it
- 54:34Speaker 1: forward and that was kind of one of the jobs
- 54:36Speaker 1: you didn't want. But me and him alternated, so he
- 54:40Speaker 1: was kind of cool with each other. So he had
- 54:43Speaker 1: went to lunch. I didn't know. So he came back
- 54:49Speaker 1: from lunch and I'm standing there talking and I don't
- 54:53Speaker 1: see him come up, and he fittn't relieve me, and
- 54:56Speaker 1: I got cover rolls on. He didn't put his cover
- 54:59Speaker 1: rolls back on. It's my time to go to lunch.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Because we relieved each other. Now he didn't unbeknownst to me,
- 55:09Speaker 1: he didn't went to church on his lunch break. Called.
- 55:11Speaker 1: He capped yes then and then got the all ash
- 55:16Speaker 1: put on his forehead. They nobody told me nothing about this.
- 55:21Speaker 1: So I'm doing all pumps. He's standing behind me and
- 55:25Speaker 1: I'm talking to the other dudes on a simili line.
- 55:27Speaker 1: He said, how if I'm back, man, I'm ready to
- 55:29Speaker 1: gonna let you gonna go. I said, I'll be with
- 55:32Speaker 1: you mentor. I turned around and I look at him
- 55:33Speaker 1: and we're talking. And so I'm steady talking to the
- 55:37Speaker 1: other dude on us side line. So we started talking.
- 55:40Speaker 1: He kept talking, So I pulled my rag out out
- 55:43Speaker 1: my back pocket and kind of dabbed it, you know,
- 55:46Speaker 1: a little bit on my tongue and went on and
- 55:50Speaker 1: wipe that ash off his forehead. I thought it was
- 55:53Speaker 1: all call were all we put on all pumps. So
- 55:57Speaker 1: I said, my boy, it got this all on his head,
- 56:01Speaker 1: so I'll wipe it off with your whole head. He's
- 56:04Speaker 1: standing he said, oh my god, what did you down?
- 56:13Speaker 1: And I'm standing there like damn. That's ungrateful sending them
- 56:19Speaker 1: in there with it all on your forehead. I'm your
- 56:21Speaker 1: boy on his girlfriend started walking bout down here. You
- 56:25Speaker 1: got this all on your he said, what did you do? Said?
- 56:31Speaker 1: Know what you're tripping for? Man? I just got this
- 56:34Speaker 1: all off your head. He said, wasn't oil. I said that, hell,
- 56:40Speaker 1: it was what you thought it was. I was looking
- 56:44Speaker 1: at the U can't see it. It's on your phone,
- 56:46Speaker 1: he said. Ash okay, ash all. What is on your forehead? Folk?
- 56:55Speaker 1: He said, because it's ash windstape. I said, don't what
- 57:03Speaker 1: it's ash Wednesday. I went to the cathedral at a
- 57:08Speaker 1: priest put this on me. What I'm so damn well
- 57:17Speaker 1: they had a priest put one on you, dog, and
- 57:20Speaker 1: it won't need more home cross your thumb, smooth man.
- 57:27Speaker 1: We didn't, white boy, explain that to me. You were
- 57:30Speaker 1: done with the other dudes across the similar line. When
- 57:34Speaker 1: the engine going by with nothing on it. They over
- 57:38Speaker 1: there hot. Uh so that's the last time. Wow, now
- 57:50Speaker 1: you know all right, nephew, take us to the letter.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Now the letter, ladies and gentlemen, especially from Fort Wayne.
- 57:57Speaker 1: It's we invite our audience to write us letters, write
- 58:01Speaker 1: Steve and I letters, and we will give you advice
- 58:03Speaker 1: if you have an issue. Okay, and you'll check it out.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Bugle up, hold on tight, we got it for you.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Here it is the Strawberry Letter. Ready for the letter.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Here we go. Subject. I am a mother and a
- 58:16Speaker 1: wife not amaze. Ready, Dear Shirley and Steve. I'm hoping
- 58:25Speaker 1: that you will choose this letter because at this point
- 58:27Speaker 1: I really don't know what to do. I've been married
- 58:30Speaker 1: for close to nine years to a wonderful man, have
- 58:33Speaker 1: one child and another child that will be born in
- 58:35Speaker 1: about two weeks. When my husband and I were dating,
- 58:38Speaker 1: I did notice that he wasn't always the neatest person,
- 58:41Speaker 1: but I cut him some slack because it was a
- 58:43Speaker 1: bachelor and living on his own. When we got married
- 58:46Speaker 1: and moved into our apartment, he would help out, but
- 58:49Speaker 1: the majority of the housework fell on me. Shortly after
- 58:52Speaker 1: moving into our first home, I began to repeatedly ask
- 58:55Speaker 1: him for help around the house. It would usually take
- 58:58Speaker 1: me acting like a lunar tick before he would help,
- 59:01Speaker 1: but the help would only last for about two or
- 59:03Speaker 1: three weeks. Fast forward three years later, and I'm still
- 59:06Speaker 1: n responsible for the housework. Granted, my husband does not
- 59:11Speaker 1: have a regular night of five like I do, but
- 59:13Speaker 1: on the on his days off, I expect him to
- 59:16Speaker 1: do something anything. Am I wrong for asking him to
- 59:20Speaker 1: take care of the yard, do a few loads of laundry,
- 59:22Speaker 1: to clean up the house if he saw them all
- 59:24Speaker 1: day without our child to take care of. As well,
- 59:27Speaker 1: when I'm off on the weekend, I get more done
- 59:30Speaker 1: in five hours than he does in two full days
- 59:33Speaker 1: of being off. And that's with having to take care
- 59:36Speaker 1: of our child and being pregnant. One more thing. Whenever
- 59:39Speaker 1: I asked him to do something that affects his family,
- 59:42Speaker 1: I never asked him more than once. Please help me?
- 59:46Speaker 1: What should I do? Stephen Shirley? I respect your advice
- 59:48Speaker 1: and usually agree with the advice that you have given others.
- 59:51Speaker 1: I'm hoping that you will give me a solution that
- 59:54Speaker 1: no one else has already given me and didn't work. Signed.
- 59:57Speaker 1: My name is not Florence from the Jefferson's Dear Nut Florence.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: You just married your opposite, your neat and he's a slob.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: You like to clean up and he doesn't. You've already
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: said that he was a wonderful man, and just because
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: he's a slob and doesn't like to clean up doesn't
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: make him a bad person. But him not being supportive
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: of you when you're about to deliver his baby in
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: two weeks makes him lazy, lazy, lazy and selfish to me,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: he needs to get up off his butt. He needs
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: to um, like you said, do something anything. You're pregnant.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: You shouldn't have to lift a finger to do anything.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: You know, he wasn't He wasn't neat when you when
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: you were dating. You did notice that. I say, you know,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: call a professional maide service, Mary maid, see if they're
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: in your area. Okay, just call a professional maide service.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: You shouldn't have to do all this while you're pregnant.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Come on, this man needs to step up and help
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you and be supportive. You're having his baby for God's say,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: twelve minutes. All right, let's get to hurt you, because
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: at this point I really don't know what to do.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I've been learned close to nine years too wonderful man
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: have one child and another one that would be born
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: in about two weeks. When my husband and I were dating,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: I did notice that he wasn't the neatest person, but
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: I cut him some slack because he was a bachelor
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: living on his own. When we got married and moved
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: into our apartment, he would help out, but the majority
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: of the housework fell on me. Shortly after moving into
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: our first home, I began to repletedly ask him to
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: help around the house. I would usually take me acting
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: like a lunatic before he would help, but the help
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: would only last for about two or three weeks. Fast
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: forward three years later, and I'm still responsible for the housework. Granted,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: my husband does not have a regular nine to five
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: like I do, but on his off days, I expect
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: him to do something anything. Am I wrong for asking
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: him to take care of the yard, do a few
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: loads of laundry, or clean up the house if he's
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: home all day without our child to take care of.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: As well, When I'm off on the weekends, I get
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: more done in five hours than he does in two
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: full days of being off and that's with having to
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: take care of our child and being pregnant. One more thing,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: whenever I asked him to do something that affects his family,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I never have to ask him more than once. Please
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: help me what should I do? Stephen Sherley. I respect
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: your advice and usually agree with the advice that you
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: have given others. I'm hoping that you give me an
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: solution that no one else has already given me and
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: didn't work. Signed. My name is not Flauence from the Jeffersons. Well, uh, lady,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: that ain't Flaunce from the Jeffersons. Let me help you out.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I think the solution is in the way you look
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: at this letter. I think you your situation has to
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: be looked at a little bit different. Uh, this is
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: not a letter about pregnancy at all. I respect the
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: fact that you are pregnant. Now. I love women for
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: that ability that God given gift, and you are to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: be honored and respected an uphill for that duty that
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you all performed so eloquently. But this letter really ain't
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: about your pregnancy. This letter really is about your man
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: that you knew prior to getting married was sloppy, So
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: after you got married, see you say I cut him
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: some slack because he was a bachelor living on his own,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and this was supposed to change because y'all did what
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: y'all exchange rings and vow to live and love and
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: richard for poor, better, for work, sickness, and in health.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Thus far, he is not breaking any of the vows
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that he committed to. Thou shall clean the house is
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: not a wedding val or commitment of any kind. You
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: have a wonderful man, it's just something about your man.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: You don't like your man sloppy and you want him
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: to be neat. Well, I got news for you. You
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: and all the ladies just having this problem. Your man
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: ain't gonna be that for you. I began to repeatedly
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: ask him help around the house and usually take me
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: acting like a lunatic before he would help. Okay, so
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: now you're snapping, going off with it. He cleaned straighten
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: up for a couple of weeks, and that ain't good
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: for you when you're pregnant. Know how he's straighten up
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: for two weeks. Fast forward three years later, you still
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: ninety percent responsible for the housework. Granted, here's the key
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: in the letter. Granted, my husband does not have a
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: regular nine to five like I do. Well, let's read
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: in between those lines for minute, folks. Does this mean
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: that this man has a job that takes him away
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: from the home a lot more than an eight hour job.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Is he in some type of running his own business?
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Is he in sales? Is he in a salary position
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: that requires him to be a job until the job
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: is through? What type of job does he had? What
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: she admits? Granted, he does not have a nine to five,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: meaning he working more than eight hours. That's what I
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: see in this letter. So when Dag come home, see
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: the man got to plug up and get rejuvenated for
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: the next day. He fit to clean up your house.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: That ain't what he do. He wasn't cleaning up the
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: house for he met you. He didn't sign up for
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: the match to clean up the house. Now now you
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: want some help or everybody say getting maid service. Everybody
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: ain't got money for no maid service. So if I
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: was you, ma'am, so you can quit driving yourself crazy
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: with this wonderful man you'd have, who is number one
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: dude taking care of three p's. He's professing his love
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: for you because you know he's a wonderful man. He's
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: providing for you because you are in a new house,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: somebody paying for it. And I bet it's got a
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: lot to do with that man that's got that job,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: that ain't no regular nine to five. He turned in
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: the change over and he willing to protect you. So
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: this ain't about him cheating. This ain't about him not
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: being there for you emotionally. All you mad body, is
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: he won't clean up the house. Now you got the pregnant,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: the majority of woman will be in their life pregnant, well,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: had a baby, and then let's move on. I'm just
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: telling you what you can quit expecting from your man
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: to do. I'm telling you the letter ain't about her pregnancy.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: What do you want the man to do cause you regnant? Now?
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Is he taking care of prenatal care? Providing all the medicine?
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: And she said nothing about lifting, no fingers sharing it.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: She don't want to do no housework. But what you
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: cannot expect this man to do, it's scripping. Be something
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: that he ain't heating to do the housework. That ain't
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: what you do. All right, Steve, we gotta get out
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: of here. Email us or instagram us. Your thoughts on

- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys heard about this, but
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg is a little upset about b et s
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Social Awards over the snub he did not get any awards.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg awards. Yeah, I'm mad too, What you mad about?
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I don't know. I just want Yeah, we love him.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: He's only not happy with b e T. He took
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: to Instagram to give the network a piece of his mind.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: As you know, b ET held its two thousand eighteen
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Social Awards to honor social media influencers, and according to
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: the dog Father, they left out the King of social Media.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Take a listen, y'all gonna have a BT Social Awards,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: and I'm not invited and not in no categories because
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: going on in the King of social Media. When it
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: comes to this Instagram, everybody loved my page. I keep
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: you laughing, keep you thinking, keep good music on the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: BT Social Awards, saying do I need to turn into
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that again? Go Kanye on, y'all, go snatch me an
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: award for BT. Get it together. I ain't tripping, y'all tripping.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I love Did you not love him? He's got like
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: twenty one point six million followers? Okay? Yeah, coming up
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: in about ten and that you can call and tell
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: us what love is again and ask Steve some love
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: questions on this Valentine's Day eight seven seven nine, Steve,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: here we are. We we tweeted out there, We put
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: the question out there for people to call in and
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: ask you love questions, as today is Valentine's Day and
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you're the love guru, the love doctor, all of that.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: So let's go to line one and love doctor. Okay,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: it's Lenara from New Jersey. Steve. Yes, Hello, darling, how
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: are you? I'm yourself? Well, you know, I'm just fine, girl.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I'm really What can I do for you? Any questions
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: or comments? Today? Ah? Yeah? Question? Um? What do you
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: get someone if they don't like candy cards, roses, balloon animals?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Not Tommy? I'm sorry, this is a woman talking. Now,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: are you trying to get something for a man, or
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: you trying to suggest to a man because you don't
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: like these things. I don't like the right. See that's
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: the one of the two. Well, you gotta tell them
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: Marjorie is not a candy girl at all. Marjorie don't
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: like care for roses. I know what her favorite favorite
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: flowers are. So I've made the switch years ago. Uh, Bars,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: is hard to get a woman, fellas, because a lot
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: of times y'all think the bigger, the bad and better.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: And then they got to set the bath up somewhere
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: and then forget the bay in there, and then they
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: come around the corner, and any time they come around,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: they're scared as hell. Then you didn't got look like
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: a dead man standing ver. I think what you should
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: do is you're just gonna have to point blank tell
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: him this is not what I don't care for. If
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: you want to do something nice for me, you know,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: I would you miss what's happening. She rarely have a stuff, man.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: I think this is what she's saying. Help that out.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Well I heard it, but yeah, but she got a man,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: and she don't like the stuff she's been getting, and
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: so what you gotta do is you gotta suggest to
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: the man. We gotta tell him. Look, we've been together.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I don't want you to waste your money. Just now
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: what I do? Would like for Valentine? If you took
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: me somewhere nice because most women like to go nice places.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Would that be a correct assumption to eat? Right? So
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: you love to go to dinner? Would you like? Uh?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Do you care for cards? What's cards on that long list?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Don't like? No, because he don't like the buy cards
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: because I send to hang on them to them too long,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: So he don't. He not a card person, so I
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: won't get a card anyway. But he likes to get
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: stuff like you know, the other stuff, the other stuff.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: She said, like, well, you know, but I think you
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: just got to share with him what it is you
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: do like a nice dinner somewhere is nice? Uh? You know,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: just a gift, a trinket, you know a type of
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: gift like that. You know, maybe you like ink pens
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: or you know, purse shoes, you know broach scar She hard, no,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Google Boy, she too old for that cause they like
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Epps and salt bad. So yeah, she needs something help
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: get that swelling down. That's what she though, Steve, I
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: ain't got no Louis yet, So that's what I'm waiting for. Yeah,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: she say that. Where are you from? Jersey, New York,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: New Jersey, New Jersey? Now you know sal Yeah? I know?
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Have you priced them? Which one you're looking at? Oh?
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: I don't know. I just want to Louis. I really
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: don't care what kind of is or how old it is?
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: What it is? I got one my wife. Okay, you

- 1:13:00Speaker 1: have one. Yeah, you can give it to me. Okay,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I talked to it because we need to clean this closet.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I so I got plenty of Louis. He wants a
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: couple of Louis. Yeah, is your man gonna bude in
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Louis from me? I thought you was gonna give it
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, that's what you said. That's what you said.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: You got so many, why sell it? You can just
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: give it an Come on boy, come on, big player,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: rich boy, come on y'all. Damn. Yeah, you have to
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: clean it out. Your wife clause is selling stuff out
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: of it. I want to see how this go. Well, Baby,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: we got to take another call. Happy to baby and

- 1:16:09Speaker 1: That's what I don't know? Didn't hear it, three different
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: kinds of flowers, birds of paradise. Oh, that's all over
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: the house. The van pull up at the house. Then
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: later on today that's happening. Now, that's happening now. So

- 1:18:49Speaker 1: two different top, two different things. Right here, there's all this,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: all the baby oilers involved in it. Okay, let's go,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: let's go back. Take me back there, let's go the fitting.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Take me to the fitting. The fitting. Yeah, you said
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: we're gonna private surprise. I know it was something she wanted,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: but she couldn't get it, and so I found the
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: people found out what she really wanted, and they're gonna
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: just come in and do a fitting for a fitting,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: just measurements, that's all. Oh, they don't just have her side,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: but they're not like, well, it's getting made what I
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: already already knew what she wanted, but they didn't have
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: it at the time. So a few months ago I
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: had them try to find it. They said they found it.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Now they even started making it, but they got to
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: bring it in and put it on and do a fitting.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: So we're fitting you're doing. That's different from the fitting
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: I beginning. Huh no, this is you just getting off.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: But it's still different when I do my fittings, yes,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: probably might be a little bit different to yours. With me.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: Is where they put the thing up under my chest
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: and say for the folks, yeah, you know, we're try
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: to shirt you. Where he put the thing down my
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: sleeve and is after caol, let me see if I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: get it. Sixty one sixty one measurements. They called it
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: alter s that's not so sorrow. It's alt Sria and
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: al to sora. Alt Sorria is women alter sora is
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: men wrong one? I thought that's when you look up worries.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: We don't have a man. Cannot with this, dude, get
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: your nephew. I don't want to get and quick calling
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: me my nephew. I'm just asking y'all that for the
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: rest of the year, don't do not call him? Are
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: you just owning me? What that? What's that about? I've
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: been trying to do that. This ain't nothing new, okay.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Get you left your bike down at the store that time.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I told you ain't know your ass? Then oh, don't
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: bring up back down. Let's not go back. How you
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: getting your bike and walk home and leave it at
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the store because it was new. I forgot I had it. Okay,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: Who do that? Right? Lad you forget? Who do that?
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: Who get a new bike? Riding to the store, then
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: walk home licking a popsicle? And then I look at
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: this food and I go, hey, man, where your bike?
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: What bike? The new damn bike your mama bought you?
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I left it at the store in the hood. It
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: was gone when we got back up. Knock downs down.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: I'm seven teen, I go down there, he's seven. Ain't
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: no damn bike. He started crying. That's your brock ass crying, funk,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: what's your thought? The bike was gonna be here, good
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: brand new bike on the kickstand. They locked up a
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: nothing but got but came out to stop, walked right
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: past the bike. Just okay, more of this craziness right
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: after this. Okay, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Happy Valentine's Day, everyone, and welcome to our brand new
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: affiliate Fort Wayne, Indiana. Steve A lot about Fort Wayne. Yeah,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I got one more Fort Wayne story for you, got
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: a minute for Yeah, let's go. I was a young
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: act and Kevin Ferguson had a TV show on there
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: called Nightshill, and so I had to pick up. I
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: mean when I got off. When I got there, I
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: had to do an interview with the publicist for the show.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: And the publicist for the show was as white lady
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: really attract the woman and I had to meet her
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: at a restaurant for this pre show interview. So we're
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: sitting at the restaurant, me and her. You know, I'm poe.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: I ain't got no money for none of this here,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: they're paying for it. So we at a restaurant. So
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: as we're sitting there. All these black women started coming in,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: single black women, and the restaurant and the restaurant just
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: filled up with just all black women. Now I'm sitting
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: in the Miller restaurant with this white lady with this
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: blonde hair, trying to do this interview. My ass was
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: so uncomfortable. Them black women was looking at me. Now
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: keep in mind, I'm about twenty nine, thirty years old
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: somewhere like that. These black women just looking at me,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: and I knew they was talking about me, and so
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: I couldn't take it no more. So I gotta went
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: to the bathroom because man, I was just in there,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: just sweating like bullets. Man, I could I could feel
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: them eyes piercing at me. I'm telling man, this was
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: the only white person in the restaurant and it was her,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: and I'm sitting with her, and I'm the only black
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: man in the restaurant. I'm sitting with her. Them sisters
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: was doing my ask. So I get up and I
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: go to the bathroom and I speak to a lady.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: I said, sister, how you doing this morning? She looked
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: at me and what now, how you doing? And went
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: on in the bathroom. I'm like Okay, that's funky, but
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna be right here when your ass come out there. Yeah, hood,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: I ain't got what I what I got to lose,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I ain't famous. Came out the bathroom, Sis, sister, hold
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: on one second. I said, do me a favor. I said,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: listen to me. Tell your girlfriend please stop staring at
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: me like that. I saw. I'm here because I'm a
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: comedian and I'm performing at uh Snickers Comedy Bar, and
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: I'm performing with night Ship. Kevin Ferguson got me doing
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: this interview with this lady. And this is why I
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: had it. This is a reporter doing an interview on me.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: I need for all y'all to quick standing at me
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: like I hadn't betrayed the whole black braces. I'm in
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: here doing an interview. That lady started laughing and put
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: her hand over mouth. She said, you know we're talking
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: about you. I said, how the hell? I said, since
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: I'm in here. I said, you go back in there
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: and you tell all of them since what hell going on?
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: Because y'all got to quit looking at me like I
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: didn't just came in here and just man was it
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: was a horrific. She went out there, and I said, listen,
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: I'm performing. Let me make a phone call. How many
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: of y'all want to come to the show tonight? She
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: said no, no, let me just go to play. So
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I go back to the table. Then the sisters started
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: coming up to me. How you doing? Welcome to Fort Wayne.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: They were the Black Women's Business League at Indiana met.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: My ass was through, so I got on the phone
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: and called Kevin Fergus. I said, hey, man, how many
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: comps can I get tonight? He said, well, it's Thursday, nicety,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: so it's pretty open. You know we need people. I said,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: can I get thirty? He said, you can get forty?
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: I went back out the tone since I said, hey,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: which forty? Because it looked about send me y'all in here?
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: The forty y'all want to come to the show tonight?
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: She said, we showed do. And so they was in
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: town in the hotels and stelf. So about forty women
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: came to the show. Boy, my aunts was funny that night, yes, lord,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: and fell in love with three of them. Good pr
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: move on your part, though, bought him. Since eight my
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: I was sitting up now, said boy, I don't if
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I ain't uncle Tom with a week sitting up in
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: the hill. Man, I ain't the spook at the dough boy.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: He didn't Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care. I
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: was in there, man, I said what she said when
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: you spoke, see how you do? And I know that move?
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: You know me? Asked me how you doing Today's sister?
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: How you doing? I'm your sister? I said, okay. She
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: came back out that said, man, hold on, let me
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: stop you right now. All right, thank you, Steve. That
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: was funny coming up. Valentine's Dudes, And don't get ready.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show. Valentine's Day, as we've established,
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: and it just is Valentine's Day. Love love, love, love love. Alright,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: So um, Steve, you have some Valentine's dudes and don't
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: for it. Well, I got some dudes and don't for
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: you for Valentine's Day, mostly fellas. You need to play
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: attention because some of y'all get it wrong year after year.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Now this one's tricky. You won't believe this. Well, first first,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: let me do this. Don't underdo it. And what I
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: mean by that he is, don't buy like a real
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: small box of nothing, because let's that damn thing got
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: a diamond ring in it? A small box? Going backfin
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: only have your woman sitting there going really seriously, who
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: is this fault? Because I don't know? You know, they
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: don't have a ring in it. That's the only thing small.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: You can get up now on the flip side, don't
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: overdo it. What you don't want to do is give
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: her this big, giant boxing kid because I swear to God,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: she's gonna turn that on you. Oh so what you're
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: trying to get me fat? That ain't gonna work out.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: Here's another one. Make sure fellas that she liked baths
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: for you go out and buy what everybody don't like
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: math like, yeah, people got phobias against that. Don't go
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: out that don't gonna come on now, don't eat out
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: the boxing kid. People don't want to have a full box.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Don't lift that little crumbley brown piece and try to
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: eat one out the bottom. They're gonna see it. They're
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: gonna see that's funny right there. Now, if you go
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: give out more than one box or candy on Valentine's
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: listen to me carefully, fell and ladies, don't get tight
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: because I ain't talking about for two different women. It's possible,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: like maybe your mom, your sister, of co worker or
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: some hide them boxes. Don't have them on the back seat,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: just sitting there, because if your woman get in and
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: see them three boxes and candy and she already got hurt,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: you're not gonna be able to explain this away, partner.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: These are Valentine's dudes, and don't from the sea. You'll
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: know when it's time to see in sexy lingerie. Okay,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: but you just met this girl. You can't give a
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: see through drawing. You just met and now you pull
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: out a pair of sea through panics. Boy, I messed
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: up me too soon, too soon. We just went one time.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Wonder that she don't come back. I didn't know why
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: she didn't come back. You are so disrespectful. Now is
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: for players out there, if you're going out with more
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: than one person, all right, check these damn names. I
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: can't stress this enough. I cannot stress this is from
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: pride expery. You really happen, that's really happening. I have
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: sent the Christmas gifts, same gift to two girls and
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: put their damn names and mix them up on the pot,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: same paper. Everything learned from your mistakes. We'll be back
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: with Steve's close remarks coming up at forty nine after
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: the hour you're listening to show. All right, here we are,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Valentine's Day. Uh,
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: you want to continue with ask Steve, Steve, because this
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: is interesting on the day of love. You know, we
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: celebrate love today. Junior, I think you had a question
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: talked about sacrifice. What do you mean, Well, you know
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: the decisions that you make for the pardon that you have. Well,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: I mean, you know it's important because if you're gonna
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: be in love. If anybody that has ever been in
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: love will tell you they've had to make sacrifices to
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: stay in a relationship, because that's what it is. Love
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: is a series of compromises with someone that you truly,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: truly cared deeply for. And if you care deeply for someone,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: you're going to have to make some form of sacrifice.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: It's impossible to be in love with somebody and not sacrifice,
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: because love, like I said, it's all in oupossing. So
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: it's a giving thing, right, and you want to give
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: to the person. Sometimes in giving to the person, you
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: gotta take a little bit from yourself, or you got
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: to give of yourself sometimes to make the other person
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: happy that day. You got to not do something that
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: would make you happy that day. You know, I would
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: love to have my officers free and clear, but to
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: maintain a relationship after sacrifice some of them free and
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: clear days to spend time with my significant other. It's everybody.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: The person who talked about I don't I'm I'll do
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: what I want to do. Well, you're not gonna be
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: in a relationship. You can say you in love, but
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: you're not in the stay there because you can be
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: in love and get out the relationship. It's a whole
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: lot of people in love with some relationships that's gone.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: So you know, sacrifice is a part of it. It's
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: just it's no way around the sacrifice of it. And
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: that goes me and women. It's both ways. Women sacrifice
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: a great deal to stay in relationships with men. They
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: they they do for children, they do for their men,
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: they do for the family, they do for the good
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: of it. All women sacrifice so much to maintain so
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: all of their relationships. If a child really understood what
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: a mother sacrifice for them to be just the mother
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: and for they has to walk out the door every
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: day as a child to thrink, think freely and go
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: to school, and had them sneakers on and all like that.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: They they yes, Lord, they wouldn't even they wouldn't even man,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: there would never be no pushback. But they don't get it.
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: Sacrifice is real. What you got Tom? All right? This
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: is just Thomas Mins. And I asked a Thomas my course,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: can I do that? Yeah? They together? What should me
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: and out there? Like like I got a little girl,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: what should you do for your little girl on Valentine's Day?
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: She will know what so she will know what me
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: And like I got my little girl from flowers and
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: she loved God with covered strawberry. But what should men
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: do for their little girls? Out there? Well, I mean
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: that's perfect because that's the first man she's going to know.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: And she shouldn't understand from her father if if she can,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: how a man should treat her. That She's been the
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: problem for a lot of women who didn't grow up
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: with an active father in their life. They never had
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: a clear picture of what love looked like a man
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: sitting there treating their mother a certain way, So women
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: oftentimes look for love and all the wrong places because
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: they never saw it firsthand. You're describing that happens to
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: women all the time. So it's imperative for a man
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: who has daughters to demonstrate to them what it looks like.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: You know, now three of my daughters are in committed
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: to a married, one of them engaged. You know, I
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: ain't look here, they ain't. My turn is up. You know,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: these dudes got to be the one in here providing
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: all that stuff. Now, you know, now skipp or beat
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: on them and see what happened. I ain't even gonna
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: had to tell you, ain't nothing. I got to say.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: They're looking forward, wild eyed bushel tail. The first thing
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: this morning, This this little the thing that I meant,
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: this this thing I'm mad too, this little green eye
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: thing that I'm mad too. At midnight, if I get
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: them go to bathroom and she awake, I gotta roll
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: over kids to say, I gotta beat there to it.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: She can't beat me to it, No, son, I got
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: to beat her to it. Is that you're saying, that's
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: her rule or that's your rule. No, that's she'd be
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: looking for. Okay, Yeah, bright eyed bushy tail like a
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: fohio is she for real? But you know what, Steve,
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: there are a lot of guys, I mean, I know
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: guys that these kind of holidays like this, they don't
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: like to, uh for I guess the market to determine
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: what they do for their girl. They're they're like, you know,
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: I gave you some I give you flowers every day
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: out of the time. Yeah, I don't have to give
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: you flowers on Valentine's Day. I mean, I know, Fellas,
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: and that's and that's cool. You want to say it
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: like that, but in reality, that ain't the wear working
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: their head. See, we as man, we can rationalize that
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: I didn't kind of way we want to and tell
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: it to all the Fellas and we'll sit up there
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: and go, yeah, yeah, yeah, that makes sense. I would
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: I say that too. But they can't care that to
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: their house though. You know, some guy, though you stay
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: right here, you can take it to your house. But
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: now now you've done it your way, what you win?
