- 0:13Speaker 1: them like amazing bus things and it's not me true
- 0:20Speaker 1: good Steve har to mother, don't join me. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn be hurting them. You gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out. Turn got to turn them out to
- 1:45Speaker 1: turn turn the water the water. Come, come on your thing,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I show will good morning everybody, y'all listening to the VARs,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, Man on man on man. Grateful
- 2:13Speaker 1: for it comes with a huge amount of responsibility. I
- 2:17Speaker 1: didn't really know I was gonna have to be this responsible,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know, Um, can I share something with y'all? I
- 2:23Speaker 1: started out to Finally I had gotten on track and
- 2:27Speaker 1: was able to see a way to even pursue my dream.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It has been a long, a long trip that I've
- 2:36Speaker 1: been on, and I've gone through so many phases of it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It is rewarding along the way to accomplish your dreams.
- 2:45Speaker 1: What I'm saying is this, let me let me put
- 2:47Speaker 1: it together, because I got so much running through my
- 2:49Speaker 1: head right now. You know, it's It's one thing to
- 2:52Speaker 1: accomplish your dream, but there's joy in the process of
- 2:58Speaker 1: achieving it. See, some people are so caught up in
- 3:03Speaker 1: the goal, the final goal, that they find no joy,
- 3:09Speaker 1: no enjoyment in the process. If you have found what
- 3:15Speaker 1: it is you want to do and you strike out
- 3:19Speaker 1: on that journey, please understand you are far more blessed
- 3:24Speaker 1: than the average person to know what it is you
- 3:27Speaker 1: really want to do. To find your work in life,
- 3:32Speaker 1: your purpose, to find out what direction you want to
- 3:36Speaker 1: go in is such a blessing. The average person, if
- 3:40Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to them, oftentimes don't have
- 3:44Speaker 1: their life on track. And it'd be some people that
- 3:46Speaker 1: you're looking at you think God are going on because
- 3:49Speaker 1: of their appearance, their swagger, or they walk like it,
- 3:53Speaker 1: they talk like it, they look like it. But if
- 3:55Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to the average person, the
- 3:59Speaker 1: average person man does not know what their purpose is,
- 4:04Speaker 1: has not discovered what they want to do, and have
- 4:07Speaker 1: no idea how to get there. If you are on
- 4:10Speaker 1: the other side of that, if you understand your purpose,
- 4:14Speaker 1: if you have an idea of what you want to be,
- 4:17Speaker 1: and you are on your way there, you are truly
- 4:21Speaker 1: blessed and in that blessing. You must recognize it as
- 4:26Speaker 1: a blessing. You must recognize the fact that you are
- 4:31Speaker 1: on the right side, and that there should be a
- 4:33Speaker 1: sense of accomplishment and a feeling of pride in you
- 4:38Speaker 1: that you are on track to accomplish your goal. See
- 4:41Speaker 1: what used to happen was sometimes I used to keep
- 4:44Speaker 1: my nose so on the grindstone that I wouldn't even
- 4:49Speaker 1: look up and realize. Man, hey, man, I know you're
- 4:53Speaker 1: trying to get here, but Steve, hold on, man, can't
- 4:56Speaker 1: you see what you've done so far? Can't you find
- 4:59Speaker 1: just some joy in the process. See, a lot of
- 5:02Speaker 1: us lose the joy of the blessings God has given
- 5:05Speaker 1: us because we're looking at the end. Tomot, I ain't
- 5:08Speaker 1: there yet. You on your way. I'm gonna give you
- 5:11Speaker 1: an example. I had a friend who told me that
- 5:15Speaker 1: they wanted to be a million now, and they asked
- 5:18Speaker 1: me some questions and I told him, so they started
- 5:21Speaker 1: the process, and I am telling you, this dude works
- 5:27Speaker 1: extremely hard. So about a year later we were talking.
- 5:33Speaker 1: He had found this business, he had set his goal,
- 5:40Speaker 1: and he was working towards it. Then about two years
- 5:43Speaker 1: later I ran up into him again. We were talking
- 5:45Speaker 1: about it and everything. It's a man. Really really appreciate
- 5:48Speaker 1: the advice. He said, Man, but this is all jacked up, man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: because I still ain't made that million I was talking about.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I said, well, hey, man, just just keep at it.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's coming. He's a man. Keep at it. Man. You
- 6:01Speaker 1: know how long I've been doing this? Been two years now.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I didn't say that to him, but I said
- 6:07Speaker 1: to myself, yeah, two years. He said, Man, I've been
- 6:10Speaker 1: grinding so long. Man, it's just it ain't having it
- 6:12Speaker 1: from me. I said, wait a minute, man, hold on,
- 6:15Speaker 1: hold on. I said, about how much you're making right
- 6:18Speaker 1: now a year? Man, about two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I quit breathing. I said, well, my man, two years
- 6:28Speaker 1: ago you didn't have a clue. Two years later, you're
- 6:34Speaker 1: making a quarter of a million dollars. I said, man,
- 6:37Speaker 1: do you understand how blessed you are? I said, man,
- 6:41Speaker 1: your family was about to get put out two years ago.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You don't bought a house? Yeah, man, but this ain't
- 6:48Speaker 1: the house. I really won't. Ohoa Pardner, whoa, I got that.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I got that house. You really won't make Mike call
- 6:56Speaker 1: five eight million. I don't know, but man, y'all gotta
- 6:59Speaker 1: hig you're making a payments, you drive it. You ain't
- 7:02Speaker 1: out no more. I said, hold on, man, you got
- 7:04Speaker 1: to stop. I said, you got to stop. I said, man,
- 7:06Speaker 1: because right now, man, you you coming across as real
- 7:09Speaker 1: ungrateful to me. And so he said, man, why are
- 7:11Speaker 1: you tripping like that? Man? Man, you act like don't
- 7:14Speaker 1: nobody want to have nothing but you? I said, whoa man,
- 7:16Speaker 1: where are you going with this conversation? I said, Oh,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I didn't come to you. I just came to you
- 7:20Speaker 1: and ask you how you doing. And I'm trying to
- 7:23Speaker 1: point out to you that the journey that you started on,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that you are on your weight, and you are in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the process of accomplishing your goals. And can you not
- 7:32Speaker 1: feel some joy and some pleasure in your accomplishment. Quit
- 7:36Speaker 1: tripping on the fact that you ain't made a million yet.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You on your way. You don't went from your He thought,
- 7:42Speaker 1: this dude was making fifteen thousand dollars a year. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: making quarter of a million dollars in two years. May
- 7:46Speaker 1: come on, man, can't you see? Can't you see? So
- 7:50Speaker 1: he said eventually, a man, I kind of see what
- 7:53Speaker 1: you're saying. But that ain't about nothing to me because
- 7:55Speaker 1: I ran up into him a year and a half later.
- 8:00Speaker 1: How you doing, man, Man, I showed, wish I'd appreciate
- 8:04Speaker 1: it my life when I had it like that? I said,
- 8:06Speaker 1: what you mean? Had it like that? Man? Just fell
- 8:09Speaker 1: on some hard times. Man, I'm right back why I was.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And then we talked. I said, hey, man, don't worry
- 8:15Speaker 1: about it. I said, Once you know how to accomplish something,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I said, you just reapply the same principles and start
- 8:20Speaker 1: on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
- 8:23Speaker 1: to be to start over. Okay, my man, Hold up, partner,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you can't do yourself like this again. First you wasn't
- 8:28Speaker 1: grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
- 8:31Speaker 1: fact that you might have to start over, and you
- 8:33Speaker 1: know how hard it is to start over. Maybe God said, okay,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you ain't happy with this. Okay, didn't handle it your way?
- 8:42Speaker 1: You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
- 8:44Speaker 1: into your life. You want to handle it your weight,
- 8:46Speaker 1: Go ahead and handle it because he will let you
- 8:48Speaker 1: have it your way. Can I tell you that he
- 8:51Speaker 1: will let you do it exactly the way you want
- 8:53Speaker 1: to it because he gives us all the power of choice.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
- 8:58Speaker 1: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: showing you. You think it's take it too long. I'm
- 9:02Speaker 1: gonna let you do it your way. I'm not gonna
- 9:04Speaker 1: turn my back on you. I'm just gonna let you
- 9:06Speaker 1: do it your way. Just just say. Maybe he said that,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and now he right back where it was. So what
- 9:12Speaker 1: I try to get the young cat to understand was, man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: appreciate your life for what it is. Because like life,
- 9:20Speaker 1: Jenny's got that song that he got out off this album.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Still I still believe it could have been worse. And
- 9:26Speaker 1: now that it is worse, what's on your mind now, folks,
- 9:31Speaker 1: If you are on that side of life where you
- 9:33Speaker 1: have figured out what you want to do, you know
- 9:35Speaker 1: how you're gonna get that, and you know your purpose.
- 9:38Speaker 1: You're accomplishing what the majority of people never ever do.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So be grateful for your process. Don't tumble yourself, don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: throw yourself off to cliff. It's gonna be all right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Success takes a measure of time. It is not easy.
- 9:52Speaker 1: If success were easy, everybody would be successful. You're listening
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
- 10:07Speaker 1: when it's cold outside. I got the month of May. Well.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I guess you say, Steve, what can make you feel
- 10:17Speaker 1: this way? My response is simply my girl. I'm talking
- 10:23Speaker 1: about my girl. Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom
- 10:30Speaker 1: boom boom boom boom boom boom boom bump. Yeah. Boy, man,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I saw before I introduce you all, I was going
- 10:44Speaker 1: to work the other day and coming from work last night,
- 10:50Speaker 1: and I watched on the way in my van, I
- 10:55Speaker 1: watched the Motown Hits via story on Amazon Prime. Uh huh?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Is that with by Berry Gordy? Right? Oh? I mean
- 11:08Speaker 1: you can't talk about Hits vial without talking about with them.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I just wonder if they have another one. It's the
- 11:19Speaker 1: news news on Amazon Prime. It's not okay, it's girl,
- 11:26Speaker 1: what okay? Can I ask you a question? How long
- 11:30Speaker 1: Amazon playing? Long time? Oh? Wow? Yeah? What you mean?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Or why there we go? Eight years? I just get
- 11:44Speaker 1: to the story. I never got it last year. I
- 11:50Speaker 1: don't know what y'all talking about some eight years frustrated
- 11:54Speaker 1: with us? I'm talking about what the TV shows on
- 11:58Speaker 1: it not not the order stuff on line. They ain't
- 12:00Speaker 1: want to talking about here, Steve, we know, baby, we
- 12:05Speaker 1: have that. You know, Shirley, you ain't gonna talk down
- 12:08Speaker 1: to me. You don't even know what it's about. You
- 12:12Speaker 1: don't even know what it's about. Like last year, year before, Steve,
- 12:16Speaker 1: you just what you ain't seen nothing. I don't see it.
- 12:20Speaker 1: We all saw it. Lord Jesus helped me, Father God
- 12:26Speaker 1: dealing with these ungrateful people on this show. As I
- 12:30Speaker 1: tried to share it didn't lightenin't seen You ain't seen nothing.
- 12:35Speaker 1: That was Robinson. Well, yeah, we can't ask you not.
- 12:42Speaker 1: It was mostly the special was mostly about the Funk Brothers. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: and all the hits they made. That's the one. The
- 12:53Speaker 1: beer you d shirt ye man else anybody else ought
- 13:04Speaker 1: of it? Day? All of it? Well you no, no, no, no,
- 13:10Speaker 1: no no no. What we're gonna do is the CLO.
- 13:13Speaker 1: That's what we're gonna do because I can't now you
- 13:15Speaker 1: ain't seen nothing, Shirley, because I thank you ly have
- 13:19Speaker 1: seen it. You just found out it was on Amazon Prime.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Hey y'all. When Shirley quit Hayden, I'm gonna tell y'all
- 13:26Speaker 1: all about it. At some point in the show me,
- 13:29Speaker 1: I was just asking your question. You're just mad because
- 13:32Speaker 1: you're late, all right? Coming up in thirty three minute,
- 13:35Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, asked the CLO Chief
- 13:38Speaker 1: Love Officer. He's mad Steve Harvey right after this, you're
- 13:43Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, it's
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now for ask the CLO Chief Love Officer. Steve
- 13:51Speaker 1: Harvey in the building when it's cute self look at
- 13:54Speaker 1: him this one. Steve CLO is from Santana in Detroit.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Santana writeside been dating a woman that's separated from her husband.
- 14:06Speaker 1: She recently moved in my apartment complex, and we both
- 14:09Speaker 1: have six year old sons, so that's how we met.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Her son told his dad that mommy had a boyfriend,
- 14:15Speaker 1: and all hell broke loose. He came to my apartment
- 14:18Speaker 1: one day and threatened me, saying he is getting his
- 14:21Speaker 1: family back and I'm in the way. I told him
- 14:23Speaker 1: i'd respect his wishes because I don't need the drama.
- 14:26Speaker 1: My girlfriend says it's a lie and he's crazy, and
- 14:29Speaker 1: she still wants to be with me. What do I do?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Save your life? Though? Save your life? You just said
- 14:39Speaker 1: it ain't worth the drama. You won't respect his wishes,
- 14:43Speaker 1: So now let it play out. Let some time go
- 14:45Speaker 1: between it. If she won't to be with you, Let's
- 14:48Speaker 1: just see how this work out. But this food right here,
- 14:51Speaker 1: You've got to be careful. He'd already came to your apartment.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Ain't like he don't know where you live? And that
- 14:59Speaker 1: little day are he gonna tell it again? Mama, boardfrien
- 15:02Speaker 1: him back as soon as she says, board free him back?
- 15:06Speaker 1: Yess who're coming back? Daddy? Yeah they're not. They're just separated.
- 15:12Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, all right, moving on? Uh huh uh
- 15:19Speaker 1: Kizza and Houston says, my fifty one year old stepfather
- 15:22Speaker 1: and I don't get along, and uh it's putting a
- 15:25Speaker 1: strain on my relationship with my mother. I hang out
- 15:28Speaker 1: in a popular downtown area and so does he. He
- 15:31Speaker 1: seems to like girls around my age and it's disgusting.
- 15:35Speaker 1: He flirts and sends drinks to ladies, and one of
- 15:38Speaker 1: my former classmates says he even d MMed her on Instagram.
- 15:43Speaker 1: My mother knows I don't like him, but she doesn't
- 15:45Speaker 1: know why. She keeps lecturing me about being rude and
- 15:48Speaker 1: said I need to work on my attitude. Should I
- 15:51Speaker 1: tell her why I'm rude? M that's a tough for
- 15:55Speaker 1: because issue old mother. So she can see your damn
- 15:59Speaker 1: any dead? Yeah, I mean stepdad to him. I don't know.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I don't know, you know. I I would just say, Mom,
- 16:10Speaker 1: i've seen him out before. Where I go, do you
- 16:14Speaker 1: know he goes out? I don't know, Na, I see
- 16:17Speaker 1: his hard you know? I mean, but this her mother
- 16:23Speaker 1: got a strain on relationship. Here's what I know. You're
- 16:26Speaker 1: not fit to play my mama. That's what I'm not fit.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Now you know some boyfriend girls and one of my
- 16:33Speaker 1: dudes or something. I might stay out of it. But
- 16:35Speaker 1: once I see you playing my mama, you're not playing
- 16:39Speaker 1: my mama. Dog, that's not gonna happen, not me, not
- 16:42Speaker 1: as a man. You can't do nothing my mama. So
- 16:45Speaker 1: I'm assuming a lot of women feel that way about
- 16:47Speaker 1: their mama. So they're playing my mama. Thing I don't.
- 16:53Speaker 1: That's off limits. My mother in any disrespect towards her
- 16:58Speaker 1: is off limits. So so what did she do? Though?
- 17:02Speaker 1: So does she tell? If she was me, I whip
- 17:05Speaker 1: his ass. But that ain't what's going to happen. But
- 17:08Speaker 1: she ain't me, so I think I think she may
- 17:12Speaker 1: have to pull her mother's coat and just say, mom,
- 17:14Speaker 1: do you know that dad goes out to the same
- 17:16Speaker 1: place as I go to And that's the problem I have.
- 17:19Speaker 1: And I've seen him out there doing the most and
- 17:22Speaker 1: I think the most. And that's why I don't care
- 17:25Speaker 1: from him, because I don't want you to get hurt. Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and then maybe maybe she needs to know that because
- 17:31Speaker 1: because you're nothing to clown my mama. No, not in
- 17:34Speaker 1: front of me. I oh you show howthing to do
- 17:37Speaker 1: that partner? Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, that's good. Yeah,
- 17:42Speaker 1: that it is uh uh. Devel in North Carolina says,
- 17:49Speaker 1: I'm forty year old, single woman with three children from
- 17:52Speaker 1: a previous relationship. And I recently met a man that
- 17:54Speaker 1: was about to go to prison and he will be
- 17:56Speaker 1: out in sixteen months. We're getting to know each other
- 17:59Speaker 1: while he's inside. He was charged with he was charged
- 18:03Speaker 1: with being an accessory to a crime, and he's never
- 18:06Speaker 1: been in legal trouble before. He's forty four, and we'll
- 18:09Speaker 1: have to start all over again when he gets out.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So that's my only concern. There aren't many good men left,
- 18:15Speaker 1: so I'm trying to do something different? Am I foolish
- 18:18Speaker 1: to fall for a man in jail? Well, you say
- 18:22Speaker 1: you want to do something different, it's really different. So
- 18:27Speaker 1: now you have hooked up with a man that did
- 18:32Speaker 1: she say? He was on his way to prison. So
- 18:36Speaker 1: now he got to go for sixteen months and you
- 18:39Speaker 1: all are spending this time to get to know each other. How? What? What? What? What?
- 18:45Speaker 1: How are you getting annoying? What? No? I'm listening? Do
- 18:51Speaker 1: you go to visit? Nah? Lady, I think I think
- 18:57Speaker 1: you need a hold type before you put a lot
- 19:00Speaker 1: of stock in this, because you're not gonna really know
- 19:03Speaker 1: this guy until you spend time with him. Right, you
- 19:06Speaker 1: have to spend time with him. He can't be doing time.
- 19:10Speaker 1: You have to spend time. No different, we talk about time,
- 19:13Speaker 1: but it was two different ways. You need to spend
- 19:16Speaker 1: time with him. But he got to do some time first.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And until you spend time with him, you're not gonna know.
- 19:21Speaker 1: You're not getting to know nobody that's locked up. What
- 19:24Speaker 1: he right, it's what he wants? What you want to hear? Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: you know he's enjoying this in there now. You know
- 19:30Speaker 1: I'm not saying you are just you know, disolved what
- 19:35Speaker 1: what am I looking for the word. I'm not saying
- 19:38Speaker 1: you just own that guy or just associate yourself. I'm
- 19:41Speaker 1: not saying that because some good brothers that is locked away.
- 19:44Speaker 1: But you need to wait. You need to wait until
- 19:47Speaker 1: you find out who he is, because you're none about
- 19:49Speaker 1: this man. That's true and accessory to what crime? What
- 19:53Speaker 1: about this? A woman has kids, right, Steve? And when?
- 19:57Speaker 1: How soon should she introduce her kids to a man
- 20:01Speaker 1: that she is dating and has been dating for a while.
- 20:05Speaker 1: If you've been dating for a while, that must mean
- 20:07Speaker 1: there's some serious interest there. So as soon as you
- 20:10Speaker 1: think a guy is a serious contender, I think that's
- 20:13Speaker 1: when you have to introduce to kids. But I think
- 20:16Speaker 1: you have to do it in a public place. I think.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I don't think you bring them to the home. I
- 20:21Speaker 1: think you meet out park or McDonald's with a little
- 20:25Speaker 1: play area in it so the kid can go off
- 20:28Speaker 1: and play and just see how he reacts to the
- 20:29Speaker 1: child and how the child reacts to him. But don't
- 20:32Speaker 1: do it in your home that way. If you don't
- 20:35Speaker 1: get the reaction you need or you won't, then it
- 20:37Speaker 1: wouldn't know where my dad at. You know, you're just
- 20:41Speaker 1: some dude at the park you talk to you know kids,
- 20:44Speaker 1: equate things in their house has belonging to them. Oh,

- 24:42Speaker 1: I don't listen, sir. I don't have time for you

- 25:50Speaker 1: I ain't got time for this. I ain't got time
- 25:52Speaker 1: for this, man. But why you order? Why you order
- 25:56Speaker 1: of Kangaroo if you don't want it? Now? If I
- 25:58Speaker 1: didn't order them and glue, that's why I don't want
- 26:01Speaker 1: them to king Lu because I didn't order them from Kangaroo.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Be telling me what's out word of what I want. Okay,
- 26:07Speaker 1: this is the worst customer service in the world. I
- 26:09Speaker 1: don't even a customer of yours. You're trying to tell
- 26:12Speaker 1: me that I gotta kangaroo, a peacocks and peacocks. You
- 26:16Speaker 1: have two two peacocks. You have two peacocks, Sir. This
- 26:19Speaker 1: doesn't even make any statements what you're gonna do with
- 26:22Speaker 1: those animals animals. I don't know what you're gonna do
- 26:24Speaker 1: with them, But you're gonna sign. You're gonna sign this
- 26:26Speaker 1: paperwork through that's what you're gonna do. You mind if
- 26:30Speaker 1: you think I'm signing that paperwork animal? Man, I don't
- 26:36Speaker 1: want to whoop your ass at your house in front
- 26:38Speaker 1: of your wife and kids behind some damn animals. I
- 26:41Speaker 1: don't what you're gonna sign my PaperWorks you want. I
- 26:44Speaker 1: wish you would try to whip my from them. I'm
- 26:46Speaker 1: about to show my kids what it looks like with
- 26:48Speaker 1: a to show up its talks, real reckless o. Can
- 26:51Speaker 1: you show it up here with a damn caravan an
- 26:53Speaker 1: animals like I mean, the just ridiculous. Okay, huh no,
- 26:57Speaker 1: got my face, man, this is ridicious. It's only one thing,
- 27:00Speaker 1: I really, just only one last thing I need to
- 27:03Speaker 1: tell you, to be honest with you. What is that?
- 27:05Speaker 1: The only thing I can tell you now, Adrian, is
- 27:07Speaker 1: that I have nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Mourning Show.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Your white bridget got me in the prank phone call you.

- 27:41Speaker 1: a Steve Harvey Morning Show, baby, you have it exactic delivery.
- 27:48Speaker 1: It was none by dancing, none of that. Yeah, doctor

- 27:58Speaker 1: karoo dn't get a zeal steale. That crazy crazy truly.
- 28:13Speaker 1: So what's going on, Junior? Oh? You know, as I
- 28:17Speaker 1: think about that, you know, I was talking about this,
- 28:19Speaker 1: but I would really thinking about it when the last
- 28:22Speaker 1: time you've been to the zoo, Like I ain't been
- 28:24Speaker 1: to zoom a long time. You know, I thought about
- 28:27Speaker 1: that yesterday and it's been a long time, maybe in
- 28:32Speaker 1: my twenties, you know, twenties. Yeah, sure, Hey, that was
- 28:38Speaker 1: just the wild Dan shirt. I would whatever, Junior and
- 28:47Speaker 1: whatever they've been in the wild, but you know, I
- 28:58Speaker 1: wouldn't call it a steal. I don't do the snakes
- 29:01Speaker 1: dot it's really yeah, all right, thanks Jure. Coming up
- 29:11Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment
- 29:13Speaker 1: and national news for you. Right after this. You're listening
- 29:17Speaker 1: to The Steven Show. Attention young men between the ages
- 29:23Speaker 1: of thirteen to eighteen years old. The Steve Harvey Virtual
- 29:27Speaker 1: Mentoring Program is on this Father's Day weekend with special
- 29:32Speaker 1: guests including jeez La Lakerstar Taylor Horton, Tucker, Terrence Jay,
- 29:38Speaker 1: and many many more. So, Steve, you said that during
- 29:41Speaker 1: your mentoring session jul you found that the boys are
- 29:45Speaker 1: dealing with so much pain because of the deaths of
- 29:47Speaker 1: so many young black men. Right, yeah, Yeah, I'm having
- 29:54Speaker 1: some special men to help them with it. Oh. It's
- 29:58Speaker 1: gonna be a panel called Pass the Pain Pass and
- 30:03Speaker 1: the guest are Shirley Tracy Martin. He's the father of
- 30:06Speaker 1: Trey Brown, Martin's father Aubrey Wright, father of Dante Wright,
- 30:13Speaker 1: and Michael Brown senior, father of Michael Brenno. So I'm
- 30:18Speaker 1: gonna have these men on to help these young men
- 30:20Speaker 1: because they're dealing with so much pain with the actions
- 30:25Speaker 1: of the police. Uh, They're dealing with the absence of
- 30:30Speaker 1: their fathers in their lives. Uh. You know, it's just
- 30:34Speaker 1: a lot, man, that these young men deal with. So
- 30:36Speaker 1: we address in our Menuting program things on so many levels.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So if you have a boy between thirteen and eighteen,
- 30:44Speaker 1: please invite him. You can go to Stephen Marjorie Harvey
- 30:47Speaker 1: dot org for more information about where you can Stephen
- 30:51Speaker 1: Marjor Harvey Foundation dot org. Right, Harvey dot org. Harvey, Yeah,
- 30:58Speaker 1: you know all of that gets to it. But if
- 31:00Speaker 1: you look it up me to give you more information
- 31:02Speaker 1: and just come and join us, and then I'll be
- 31:04Speaker 1: haling some of them, some of the speeches myself. But
- 31:08Speaker 1: it's really great. We did during the pandemic six million
- 31:12Speaker 1: boys how standing virtually because it was virtual, so we
- 31:19Speaker 1: had boys globally globally, so during the pandemic we reach
- 31:24Speaker 1: six million boys. God's word, awesome. That's a lot of
- 31:29Speaker 1: people that and it makes a difference in these young
- 31:32Speaker 1: men's lives because they have to have somewhere to go,
- 31:35Speaker 1: somewhere to let it out, to let people know how
- 31:38Speaker 1: they feel, because they are dealing with lots of trauma
- 31:41Speaker 1: and all of that. Because of this, and also it's
- 31:44Speaker 1: just important that young men hear a different voice, a
- 31:48Speaker 1: different idea of what manhood really is, as opposed to
- 31:51Speaker 1: what's presented to them out in the streets or was
- 31:54Speaker 1: presented to them in music. Oftentimes, you got to hear
- 31:58Speaker 1: what a real man sounds and what it looks like.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And a lot of our speakers are men and who
- 32:03Speaker 1: look like them and sound like them and can relate
- 32:06Speaker 1: to them. And a lot of guys I have speaking
- 32:09Speaker 1: came from fathers homes themselves and can help them deal
- 32:13Speaker 1: with coping with the fact that they their father isn't
- 32:16Speaker 1: active in their life. A lot of these boys that
- 32:18Speaker 1: come on and their dads will be active in their life,
- 32:20Speaker 1: but there's many who'll be where dad's are absent in
- 32:22Speaker 1: their life. And that's an important thing to cover. And
- 32:26Speaker 1: you had your dad in your life all the way
- 32:30Speaker 1: until I was forty. That's what made I started the
- 32:32Speaker 1: foundation when I right, I had my father Toss forty three.
- 32:37Speaker 1: And when I was looking at that man in that
- 32:39Speaker 1: casket at the funeral, I came to the conclusion, if
- 32:43Speaker 1: it was not for that dude right there, I wouldn't
- 32:46Speaker 1: be who I am today. I was already on television,
- 32:49Speaker 1: already making money, already you know, had been able to
- 32:52Speaker 1: do things for my parents. But yeah, man, when I
- 32:56Speaker 1: looked in that casket, I said, no, no, no, it's
- 33:00Speaker 1: no way I'm here without this dude. So how do
- 33:03Speaker 1: me and who don't have fathers? How did they get
- 33:04Speaker 1: the wedding want to be? And when I was on
- 33:06Speaker 1: the plane going home, I said, man, you started foundation. Wow,
- 33:10Speaker 1: thank god you do. Great story, Steve, So young men
- 33:13Speaker 1: please go and register now at Harvey Foundation dot Org. Okay,
- 33:18Speaker 1: all right, switching gears here, Steve, it is time for
- 33:21Speaker 1: today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp, thank you,
- 33:26Speaker 1: thank you very much. This is Andrew put the News.
- 33:29Speaker 1: President Biden is expected to sign the measure today, designating
- 33:32Speaker 1: June nineteenth as a federal holiday. Juneteenth's marking the day
- 33:35Speaker 1: in eighteen sixty five that enslaved Africans in Texas found
- 33:39Speaker 1: out that they had been free to day. Were the
- 33:40Speaker 1: last to be told, and their slave masses certainly weren't
- 33:43Speaker 1: gonna tell them, got them all work out of them.
- 33:45Speaker 1: But again, this is the twelfth federal holiday, and President
- 33:48Speaker 1: Biden is expected to sign it. Following his three hour
- 33:50Speaker 1: face to face with Russia Vladimir Putin yesterday, President Biden
- 33:54Speaker 1: said that he did what he came to do. He
- 33:55Speaker 1: said that the two discussed several topics, including cyber attacks,
- 33:59Speaker 1: which he says are coming out of Russia but which
- 34:02Speaker 1: Putin denies, and human rights. How could I be the
- 34:05Speaker 1: President of the United States of America and not speak
- 34:08Speaker 1: out against the violation human rights? I told him that
- 34:11Speaker 1: unlike other countries, including Russia, we're uniquely a product and
- 34:15Speaker 1: an idea. That's why we're going to raise our concerns
- 34:18Speaker 1: about cases like Alexi NAVALNY. We hold these true self
- 34:22Speaker 1: evidence that all men and women. We haven't lived up
- 34:25Speaker 1: to the completely, but we've always included more and more people.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I raised a case of two wrongfully in prisons of
- 34:30Speaker 1: American citizens, Paul Wellen and Trevor Reid. I made it
- 34:34Speaker 1: clear that we will not tolerate attempts to destabilize our
- 34:37Speaker 1: democratic collections, and we would respond. I told President Putin
- 34:40Speaker 1: that we need to have some basic rules of the
- 34:42Speaker 1: road that we can all abide by. Mister Biden says
- 34:46Speaker 1: a while there were differences, that the tone of the
- 34:48Speaker 1: meeting overall was positive. Putin referred to the president as professional.
- 34:53Speaker 1: On Capitol Hill early this week, twenty one members of
- 34:56Speaker 1: the House of Representatives, all Republicans, voted again a measure
- 35:01Speaker 1: that would have awarded Congressional Gold Medals to US Capitol
- 35:04Speaker 1: police and other members of law enforcement who were there
- 35:07Speaker 1: during the violent attack and occupation by Donald Trump's supporters
- 35:11Speaker 1: last January. The rest of the House, okay the bill anyway,
- 35:14Speaker 1: That number was four or six to twenty one. It's
- 35:16Speaker 1: just those twenty one Republicans have voted against it. It
- 35:19Speaker 1: now goes to the Senate and then goes to the
- 35:21Speaker 1: President and he's expected to sign that as well. We'll
- 35:26Speaker 1: have a lot of going on here the haters. I
- 35:28Speaker 1: tell you yesterday doco to like this. But because of
- 35:31Speaker 1: a survey conducted by a health charity for young people,
- 35:34Speaker 1: the most respected member of the royal family right after
- 35:37Speaker 1: the Queen is actually Megan Markle. The survey of people
- 35:39Speaker 1: between ages thirteen and twenty five gave the Queen twenty
- 35:42Speaker 1: six percent to vote. Harry and Megan came in second
- 35:45Speaker 1: with twenty one percent, and then way down Kate and
- 35:48Speaker 1: Prince William with eleven percent. And I guess this is
- 35:50Speaker 1: sort of a Father's Day story. Yeah. Reports are that
- 35:55Speaker 1: a man with perhaps the world's largest family thirty nine
- 35:58Speaker 1: wives and ninety four children, has died. I guess he
- 36:01Speaker 1: was tired. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:04Speaker 1: You're listening show? All right, So, guys in Trenting viral
- 36:09Speaker 1: video news. Did you all see this double murder suspect? Okay,
- 36:13Speaker 1: keep that in mind. He's a double murder suspect. He's
- 36:16Speaker 1: on trial in Tampa for his life. He's been accused
- 36:19Speaker 1: of killing his girlfriend and his daughter. This happened back
- 36:22Speaker 1: in twenty eighteen. His name is Ronnie O'Neill. He represented
- 36:27Speaker 1: himself in court. Take a listen, he's just going to
- 36:32Speaker 1: show oman temper with ed to me. There's such because
- 36:42Speaker 1: really it wasn't enough, so we had to temper whatever
- 36:48Speaker 1: since it was sucked already. Sue whatever, ye hold on,
- 36:58Speaker 1: hold on. His ass is going in prison as soon
- 37:01Speaker 1: as he gets through talking. Yes, right, yes, he did
- 37:04Speaker 1: double homicide. He should go for the rest of his life. Absolutely,
- 37:09Speaker 1: What the hell ever did because it needed more once
- 37:14Speaker 1: he at first they ain't have enough. Tell you we're
- 37:18Speaker 1: got some more. Man ain't got enough. That's why when
- 37:22Speaker 1: you're here, oh man, as soon as you get through talking,
- 37:27Speaker 1: go ahead, just going to pri himself has a fool
- 37:32Speaker 1: for a client. That's that's where the saying is quite
- 37:36Speaker 1: apropos right there. Jeez, I'm just gonna do when you
- 37:40Speaker 1: call yourself to the stand, what do you what? All that? Right?
- 37:46Speaker 1: There is one season of lawing on that's all. That's
- 37:49Speaker 1: what he watched. I'm gonna call the police to the stand, sir.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Did you temple what you ever did? No? I did nothing.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Yes you did, Yes, you did. Oh my god. Some
- 38:07Speaker 1: people think if you speak loudly that means I have
- 38:11Speaker 1: exhibited a right here, this is the gun that I
- 38:15Speaker 1: allegedly lou used. Oh my god, do you recognize its
- 38:21Speaker 1: going officer? Yes, is the one we found at the
- 38:23Speaker 1: crime scene. No, it's not. I don't know. See, y'all
- 38:28Speaker 1: just made this exhibit A. Do this for me? Uh?
- 38:32Speaker 1: You is the jeery foreman. They asked y'all to go
- 38:35Speaker 1: back and deliberate. What are you seeing on your honor?
- 38:38Speaker 1: We've all we've been talking about this during the trial
- 38:41Speaker 1: and at lunch today we've reached a verdict. No, y'all
- 38:45Speaker 1: gotta go deliberate. Ye, you gotta talk about No, we
- 38:49Speaker 1: was at lunch. We deliberated. We have a verdict and
- 38:53Speaker 1: we can't go in the back if you want us too.
- 38:55Speaker 1: But you can just take this paper because right here,
- 38:58Speaker 1: right now in the jewery box. Good we an you
- 39:02Speaker 1: got to go into back if you just read the
- 39:03Speaker 1: paper we wrote on the napkin. While are you down Friday?
- 39:07Speaker 1: All right? Coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:13Speaker 1: We're gonna talk to Steve about being a dad and
- 39:17Speaker 1: a Granddad. This is sponsored by Fatherhood, the movie which
- 39:20Speaker 1: stars Kevin Hart. It's on Netflix. We'll talk about it
- 39:23Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Fatherhood is Kevin Hart's brand new movie. It premiers this
- 39:32Speaker 1: Friday on Netflix. Kevin is excellent, excellent, Steve in this role.
- 39:38Speaker 1: It's a Kevin Hart you've never seen before. And we
- 39:41Speaker 1: love Kevin Hart and he loves us too, so much
- 39:44Speaker 1: so that Steve, he left a message for us all
- 39:46Speaker 1: the way from Budapest. Take a listen, shout out to
- 39:49Speaker 1: my friends and family into Steve Harvey Morning Show. One
- 39:52Speaker 1: of remind you, guys that Friday is going down. I
- 39:55Speaker 1: got a movie dropping on Netflix called Fatherhood. That's right
- 39:58Speaker 1: the eighteenth of June. It is going him down. I
- 40:00Speaker 1: gotta move about Fatherhood, and guys, it is everything that
- 40:04Speaker 1: it's supposed to do. This is an opportunity that I
- 40:06Speaker 1: had to change the narrative that was attached to black
- 40:08Speaker 1: fathers and put a positive representation on it. Man, this
- 40:12Speaker 1: is a positive story. It's a true story about a
- 40:15Speaker 1: man named Matt Loglan and his battle in life and
- 40:18Speaker 1: how he overcame the odds and overall one with love.
- 40:22Speaker 1: It's a positive message behind it. It's about really really
- 40:27Speaker 1: embracing fatherhood and understanding the true definition and meaning of it.
- 40:32Speaker 1: And I hope this is something that will motivate more
- 40:35Speaker 1: men out there to step up be great fathers, because
- 40:39Speaker 1: ultimately that's what we need. It makes really a better
- 40:40Speaker 1: place man. Fatherhood is dropping on the eighteenth of June. Guys,
- 40:46Speaker 1: a true story and emotional story, my first real drama
- 40:50Speaker 1: for drama man. Check it out. Wow, Yeah, we see
- 40:57Speaker 1: Kevin in a whole different light in this movie. You
- 41:00Speaker 1: definitely want to check it out and bring like, what,
- 41:03Speaker 1: three or four block boxes of tissue three or four. Yes,
- 41:08Speaker 1: you will laugh, you will cry for sure. So Steve,
- 41:11Speaker 1: that brings us to We kind of talked about it
- 41:14Speaker 1: a little bit earlier. But you do know a little
- 41:16Speaker 1: something about fatherhood, you do. I've been a father thirty
- 41:21Speaker 1: eight years. It's now let me say this. Fatherhood is difficult.
- 41:31Speaker 1: It's not more difficult than motherhood. I think motherhood reigned
- 41:35Speaker 1: supreme in terms of difficulty because simply because giving birth
- 41:39Speaker 1: alone dwarfs all of our efforts as men. Anybody can
- 41:44Speaker 1: be a father. It take a real man to be
- 41:47Speaker 1: a dad. You can father a child and walk off.
- 41:54Speaker 1: But what we need is more dads, more daddy's And
- 41:59Speaker 1: that's the daunting and the challenging part of it. And
- 42:02Speaker 1: it's rewarding to be a father man, it really really is.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's fulfilling. It makes you feel validated when you do
- 42:11Speaker 1: fatherhood the right way, when you know that you're protecting somebody,
- 42:15Speaker 1: when you know that you're loving somebody, when you know
- 42:18Speaker 1: that you're offering somebody guidance and advice. That's that's a
- 42:23Speaker 1: that's a big task. Notice I didn't mention money in there,
- 42:28Speaker 1: because that has nothing to do with fatherhood, not a
- 42:32Speaker 1: dog own thing. It is your time, It is your love,
- 42:37Speaker 1: It is your guidance, it is your advice, it is
- 42:41Speaker 1: your encouragement. It is your being there and a time
- 42:46Speaker 1: of need. That makes you a great dad and a
- 42:48Speaker 1: great father. And that's that's what's needed in this world today.
- 42:52Speaker 1: And there has nothing to do with the economics at all.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, duke, what's your most rewarding
- 42:58Speaker 1: thing a father for thirty eight years, what's your most
- 43:01Speaker 1: rewarding thing about being a father? Or memory or experience?
- 43:06Speaker 1: Just here, when I hear my sons repeat back some
- 43:11Speaker 1: things I told them when they were teenagers. They were
- 43:14Speaker 1: they were listening that that resonates with me, man, I
- 43:18Speaker 1: go wild. They got it, you know, And uh now look, man,
- 43:23Speaker 1: like Father's Day is coming now. Father's Day dwarfs in
- 43:27Speaker 1: comparison to Mother's Day. Please understand, it's an essence. It's
- 43:33Speaker 1: actually embarrassing. You know, restaurants, soul out, you know, you know,
- 43:39Speaker 1: the car sectional small. You know what I'm saying. You know,
- 43:43Speaker 1: an't nobody it ain't that big a deal, you know,
- 43:46Speaker 1: I don't, you know, it is what it is. But
- 43:48Speaker 1: it's really I like Father's Day from me, man, I
- 43:52Speaker 1: don't really you know, all of them gonna call me
- 43:55Speaker 1: and wish me a happy Father's Day, but yeah, you
- 43:58Speaker 1: know anybody, Oh yeah, they're gonna say pap Pa, They're
- 44:03Speaker 1: gonna run in now, They're gonna make me feel great.
- 44:05Speaker 1: But you know, I'm gonna get a car, put it
- 44:07Speaker 1: on my desk, act like, you know, I gotta figure
- 44:11Speaker 1: out what day we're gonna get all these cars off
- 44:13Speaker 1: my desk. Though, Happy Father's Day coming up. Junior in
- 44:17Speaker 1: for the nephew with the prank phone call right after
- 44:19Speaker 1: this Happy Father's Day you're listening to morning show coming
- 44:26Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, right about four
- 44:28Speaker 1: minutes after. It's my Strawberry letter for it today, and
- 44:30Speaker 1: the subject is get this guys, my mama needs some clothes.
- 44:36Speaker 1: What is that about? Wait till you hear it got
- 44:41Speaker 1: close close? Well, yeah, you'll find out. This one's crazy.
- 44:47Speaker 1: All right. We'll get into it in just a little bit.
- 44:49Speaker 1: But right now, Junior is in for the nephew with
- 44:51Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. What you got for its? Junior?
- 44:54Speaker 1: You know, I don't know how you do this, you know,
- 44:57Speaker 1: and keep your job, but this is just what it is.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Sleeping security guard. See. I don't know how you're securing
- 45:05Speaker 1: them if you sleep, but sleeping security guard running. Get
- 45:11Speaker 1: security booth man, help you? Hey, uh this circuit I
- 45:17Speaker 1: can barely hear. Is this is this a security booth
- 45:20Speaker 1: down by the by the gate? Yea, sir, this security booth. Yeah,
- 45:25Speaker 1: listen man, it's some people, uh next door to me.

- 45:35Speaker 1: show what's happening. I know, I know I'm hearing this
- 45:38Speaker 1: lady scream or something. Man, But I I just okay, suns,
- 45:44Speaker 1: you can give us the unit number that you're in.

- 54:04Speaker 1: Who knows it could be yours? All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 54:07Speaker 1: it's time for the Strawberry Letter with my good friends.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Shirley straw Thank you, my good friend, Junior. Subject my
- 54:14Speaker 1: mama needs some new clothes. Dear Stephen, Shirley, I'm a
- 54:19Speaker 1: twenty six year old married woman and I let my
- 54:22Speaker 1: mother stay with me for three months. We lived four
- 54:24Speaker 1: hours apart, so when I had my first child, she
- 54:27Speaker 1: came to help out. My mom is one of those
- 54:29Speaker 1: older women that looks great, dresses in trendy clothing, and
- 54:33Speaker 1: loves to change up her hairstyle. She's single now after
- 54:37Speaker 1: going through her second divorce, and she lives with my grandparents.
- 54:42Speaker 1: She's been a big help with the baby, but now
- 54:44Speaker 1: I need her to go back home. She's reluctant to
- 54:47Speaker 1: leave because she's made friends here and she's a big
- 54:50Speaker 1: part of our daily lives. The problem is she loves
- 54:54Speaker 1: to change her outfits during the day depending on her mood.
- 54:58Speaker 1: Most morning, she has on a sexy matching short night
- 55:01Speaker 1: gown and rogue combination as though she had a man
- 55:04Speaker 1: in her room all night. The lingerie is a bit much,
- 55:08Speaker 1: but I can tell my young husband gets a kick
- 55:11Speaker 1: out of saying it. My mom usually wears shorts and
- 55:15Speaker 1: fitted T shirts around the house, but if we leave
- 55:18Speaker 1: the house for any reason, she'll change to more revealing
- 55:21Speaker 1: outfits with heels or furry sandals. If it's trendy, she
- 55:26Speaker 1: owns it. She loves the stories that I don't even
- 55:28Speaker 1: shop at anymore. I could only hope to have a
- 55:31Speaker 1: body like hers when I'm her age but I wouldn't
- 55:34Speaker 1: be in public with my booty jiggling like her. We
- 55:38Speaker 1: are having a cookout for the fourth of July and
- 55:41Speaker 1: I had hoped she'd be gone by then, but she's
- 55:44Speaker 1: not ready to go. There's no way she'd dressed like
- 55:47Speaker 1: this around my grandparents, so I think that's why she's
- 55:51Speaker 1: choosing to stay here with us. I don't like the
- 55:54Speaker 1: way my friends and my husband's friends look at her,
- 55:57Speaker 1: and I could tell they're judging her based on her clothes.
- 56:00Speaker 1: How can I get her out of my house without
- 56:03Speaker 1: sounding ungrateful for all of her help? Please advise, I
- 56:10Speaker 1: just want This letter is not for me. It's hard
- 56:13Speaker 1: to talk about somebody do a good job. Surely I'm
- 56:16Speaker 1: gonna look you know. I'm sorry, but but your mom
- 56:21Speaker 1: does need to sit down. She does. I mean, like
- 56:23Speaker 1: you say, she wouldn't be dressing like that at her parents' house,
- 56:27Speaker 1: so she clearly knows what she's doing and she wants
- 56:31Speaker 1: this attention. She needs to save those sexy outfits for
- 56:35Speaker 1: when the right man comes along and she could wear
- 56:37Speaker 1: them for him. Other than that, I think you should
- 56:40Speaker 1: tone it down, mom. I mean, she's all in front
- 56:42Speaker 1: of your husband and his friends dressed like that. It's
- 56:45Speaker 1: got to be embarrassing for you. I'm sure it is.
- 56:47Speaker 1: That's why you wrote the letter. H And there is
- 56:51Speaker 1: such a thing I have to say this as age appropriateness.
- 56:54Speaker 1: You can still be sexy, you can still do all
- 56:57Speaker 1: these things, you know, show your shape and everything, but
- 57:00Speaker 1: without all your stuff hanging out. You know you can
- 57:04Speaker 1: do this. I just want to tell you that. And
- 57:08Speaker 1: just because you got it like that, it doesn't mean
- 57:11Speaker 1: that everyone has to see what you're thinking and working
- 57:13Speaker 1: with all the time. Because she clearly craves the attention
- 57:17Speaker 1: I'll say that again, and wants all eyes on her,
- 57:20Speaker 1: and all attention is not good attention. You want to
- 57:22Speaker 1: draw someone to you if you're if you're interested in
- 57:26Speaker 1: in another man. Mom, you know that likes you for
- 57:29Speaker 1: your class and you're in things like that, not for
- 57:32Speaker 1: your booty jiggling. As your daughter said, um, and to you,
- 57:36Speaker 1: the letter writer, have you spoken with your mom about this?
- 57:39Speaker 1: I mean, you got to tell her how much you
- 57:41Speaker 1: appreciate her being there for you and and helping out
- 57:44Speaker 1: with the baby and all of that. But her outfits
- 57:48Speaker 1: are a little you know, too sexy for your taste,
- 57:50Speaker 1: and they've become a distraction in your marriage. So while
- 57:54Speaker 1: she's staying there, you know you want her to please
- 57:57Speaker 1: cover up. And having said all of that, I know,
- 58:01Speaker 1: I know it's gonna be difficult to say anything because
- 58:04Speaker 1: it's your mom. It is your mama, and this is
- 58:07Speaker 1: a hard call, a tough call you. It's not that
- 58:10Speaker 1: you want her to go so much, you just want
- 58:12Speaker 1: her to stop wearing all these sexy, sexy clothes with
- 58:16Speaker 1: all of stuff hanging out. I think you guys can
- 58:18Speaker 1: do that if you sit down and talk to her. Maybe, Steve,
- 58:21Speaker 1: I know you said the letter isn't for you. That's
- 58:24Speaker 1: what I got. I don't really even know how to respond. Hill. Yeah,
- 58:30Speaker 1: I have no experience at this. My mother dressed like
- 58:34Speaker 1: she taught Sunday school. Yeah, that's how my mamma looked.
- 58:40Speaker 1: My mama. Everybody knew she was somebody mama and somebody grandmama.
- 58:44Speaker 1: There was no mistaking her. So I have no experience
- 58:47Speaker 1: at this. So all I can tell you is this,
- 58:52Speaker 1: First of all, I'm gonna just try to Your mama
- 58:55Speaker 1: knows what she's doing. She knows exactly what she's doing.
- 59:01Speaker 1: She ain't stupid, but she also must at least come
- 59:06Speaker 1: to the terms that this is your second divorce. So
- 59:10Speaker 1: all this booty jiggling and a cheek showing and all
- 59:13Speaker 1: this breasts out, it ain't holding nobody. So now she's
- 59:19Speaker 1: living at your grandparents house after the second divorce, which
- 59:25Speaker 1: means you didn't even farewell after the second divorce. I
- 59:30Speaker 1: don't know what happened, but you are now living do
- 59:33Speaker 1: your mama lives with her parents? What kind of divorce
- 59:37Speaker 1: did she have that workout? Less? They didn't have no
- 59:40Speaker 1: house or nothing. I don't know what. Woman just keeps
- 59:43Speaker 1: getting put out in their back at their grandmama house.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Just don't make no sense. But she's been a big
- 59:49Speaker 1: help with you because you lived four hours apart and
- 59:51Speaker 1: you had your first baby. And now she don't want
- 59:55Speaker 1: to leave and go back home because she'd have made
- 59:57Speaker 1: friends here and she's a big part of our daily
- 59:59Speaker 1: life eyes. So now she doesn't want to go back.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: And you all got a Fourth of July thing coming up,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: and you was hoping she'd be gone by the fourth.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: She's gonna be out there by the fourth, and that
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: right now, fourth and that fall, No fourth, ain't that fall.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: She got something to wear already for Yeah, she's ready, Steve.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: She got a white linen bra set and go with
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: the show. Two of Steve's response is coming up in
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hours, subject my mama needs
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: some new clothes. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Steve, come on, let's recap
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: this Strawberry letters subject my mama needs some new clothes. Now,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: when we left off, you were talking about, you know
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: what she was gonna wear. Surely the best thing I
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: can do is, in a minute, we're gonna do a
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: re enactment. You're gonna be the daughter, and you're gonna
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: try to talk to me about my office. That's the
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: best way to do this, because I really don't know
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: what to say. This woman addresses provocatively around her twenty
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: six year old daughter, who is also married. They got
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: a new baby, and you know, she loves to change
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: outfits doing the day, depending on her mood. Most of
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: the morning she got on the sexy matching short night
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: gown and road combination as though she had a man
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: in her room at night. Landre is a bit much,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: but I can tell my young husband gets a kick
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: out of seeing it. Well, maybe you need to buy
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: something to stuff your mama. God, because what you can't
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: let you, yo, you can't let your mama will do
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: you in your own house. But then you just had
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: the baby, so you got a couple other things you're
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: working on, like yo, answer busy, So you ain't got
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: time to put the high heel fluffy shoes on the
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: chicken bredies on them. So you got to leave that alone. All.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: If you leave the house for any reasons, she'll change
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: to a more revealing outfit with he and fairy sandals.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: She loves the she loves the stores that I don't
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: even shop at no more. I can only hope to
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: have a body like hers when i'm her age. Yo,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: mama banging banging, and she ain't playing with it. H
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Now you wan't you having a cookout? July fourth? And
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I was hoping she'd be gone, but she ain't ready
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: to go. She ain't going nowhere, tell you right now,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: you wait till you see this fourth July streamers. She
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: got a red halt or blue blouse tied up in
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: the knot right under the brawl. She got she got
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: a red brawl. She got a blue shirt, blouse open
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: all the way tied in the knot under the red
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: brawl with some white daisy dupes on and some red,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: white and blue cowboy boots. So now I ain't got
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: nothing for you. So here we are. I'm the mama
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: and Shirley's the daughter trying to talk to me about it.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I will be using to help me. Re enacted this
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: assist old Dale's voice to voice, Mom, Mom, what do

- 1:04:34Speaker 1: she changes hairstyles. What what what are you wearing? What
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: is that here? How many colors do you have? What?
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: What's going on with this? This is for all my friends,

- 1:04:55Speaker 1: But you know, they opened up the New Weeks though

- 1:12:23Speaker 1: got together and decided to invite the husbands down for
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: the trips. So we will see next week what happens
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: when the husbands get there. But Doctor Jackie I like
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: what she said though in her you know, they're confessional
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and when they do their testimonies about the show, and

- 1:15:17Speaker 1: by her late bff. POC wrote me many letters and
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: many poems, she says, and I don't think this has
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: ever been published, honestly, Jada said in her insta tribute
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: before sharing lost Souls spelled with a Z. While he
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: later released a song called Lost Souls, she believes he
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: wrote the original concept during his stay at Rikers Island
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: in New York. Guys, And to that, I gotta ask you,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: what was your favorite TUPAC song? Steve? I know you
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: loved POC, what was your favorite? Well? You know, I'm
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: not a hip hop specialist by any stretching to imagine now,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: I've only bought three hip hop albums, four hip hop
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: albums in my life. I bought Jay Z's Blueprint. Well,

- 1:16:07Speaker 1: my favorite boy boy, all right, and I got well,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I bought a few more. I bought Ice Que Defsatifkey, Tupox,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: all eyes on Me and to me, the greatest rap
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: group of all time Outcast, Oh, to me, that was
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: the greatest rap group. Now that's all. I'm not of

- 1:18:21Speaker 1: dot org. Right, Harvey Foundation dot org. Harvey Foundation dot org. Yeah,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you know, all of that gets to it. But if
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you look it up, Nara give you more information and
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: just come and join us and then I'll be hailing
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: some of the information, some of the speeches myself. But
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: it's really great. Uh. We did during the pandemic six
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: million boys, how standing virtually because it was virtual, so
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: we had boys globally globally, so during the pandemic we
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: reach six million boys. That's a lot of people, man,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: and it makes a difference and send these young men's
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: lives because they have to have somewhere to go, somewhere
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: to let it out, to let people know how they feel,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: because they are dealing with lots of trauma and all
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: of that. Because of this, and also it's just important
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: that young men hear a different voice, a different idea
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: of what manhood really is, as opposed to what's presented
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: to them out in the streets or what's presented to
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: them in music. Oftentimes, you got to hear what a
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: real man sounds like and what it looks like. And
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: a lot of our speakers are men and who look
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: like them and sound like them and can relate to them.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: And a lot of guys I have speaking came from
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: father's homes themselves and can help them deal with coping
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: with the fact that they their father isn't active in
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: their life. A lot of these boys that come on
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: in their dads will be active in their life, but
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: there's many who'll be what dad's are absent in their life.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: And that's an important thing to call it. And you
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: had your dad active in your life. Coming up is
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: our last break of the day. At forty nine, fine
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, and of course Steve Harvey, our
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: fearless leader, will have some closing remarks for us right
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day on
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: this Thursday. It's almost the weekend. It was a good day.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: We have fun today, Steve. You have fun. Yeah, I'm
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: doing my job. We were doing. Yeah, it's fun. Hey, listen.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: You know we didn't get to our very last CLO
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: question earlier this morning in the six o'clock hour, Steve,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: So I wanted to bring this one back because it
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: was interesting and I wanted to hear your take on it. Okay,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: all right, here we go. This is for our Cello
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer. This is from Kyla in Oklahoma City.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: Kyla says, my husband and I were at dinner last
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: night and a female came over to our table and
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: call my husband by name and said it's been years
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: since she's been since she's seen him. My husband acted
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: like he didn't know her, so she went into detail
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: about how he used to mess with her friend when
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: he was married to his first wife. I told the
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: lady to get the hell away from the table. I
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: went off on him on the way home, and he
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: swore he doesn't know her. Could he be a cheater?
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Should I believe him? Or do some snooping on my
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: own clo. Well, let's go of a couple of things. Now,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: can we get hot and hated? Let me ask you
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: all the question when the girl said I knew you
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: when you used to mess around with my friend with
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: your first wife. Did he have a first wife? Well,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: I mean we have to assume that he did. And
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: she said that, so it wasn't he She was talking
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: about messing around with her friend with this wife, right,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: the first one that was yeah, yeah, prior to this one.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Right now? Okay, so dog really, bro, you and n
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: KLIL really come gonna lie way out? Well, well, let's
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: just deal with some truth first. Okay, Okay, if he
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: did mess around with her girlfriend, what she probably did,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: it was on his first wife. Oh not not hurt. Now,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: if you don't have a first wife any more. The
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: divorce had to be for some reason, right, okay. And
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: if you was unhappy and you sought satisfaction or relief
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: outside your house, that's the mistake in the wrong you committed.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: But you ain't that, brother, No, more, Come on, big see.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: So I don't know why she over in here trying
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: to bring up my past when clearly the man of
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: God that I am to day I saw it would
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: not participate in what I used to participate in. Why
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: she all up and here I am trying to move
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: on and have this wonderful life. You I would have
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: met the woman of my dreams that here she talking
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: about somebody in the path. So yeall denied that pass
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: because I'm blocked that out and I want to hear
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: out my face. Oh so that's what he says to
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: his current wife, Like just like that, Oh, with all
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: that passion, all that energy, and now the devil busy
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: trying to rob me of my destiny. There he gonna
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: send this empt up to me while we having a
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: peaceful and a happy family time together. All right. So,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: and I've done nothing to draw your concerned or suspicion
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: about me, doing nothing except being a loving hood. Come yeah, okay?
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: So to answer her question, then should I believe him
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: or do some snooping of my own? But if you
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: do some snooping of your own, what are you gonna
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: find out? Even if you find out he was messing
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: around with this girl that he talking about that ain't
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: got nothing to do with you. Ain't no such thing
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: as cyril cheatahs. There's no such thing as wants a
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: cheatah always and cheatah. Y'all spread a lot of stuff.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: So God can't forgive you, and you can't get up
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: and move on, and you can't improve. Oh people can't.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Oh you're using that. Oh reverse psychology. People can't change. No, Well,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: I'm not using reverse psychology. Just trying to follow you, sir.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on hold? Did we not having did
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: we not have a strop letter the other day about
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: a woman that was cheating? We talk about this right now.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: So what I'm asking you, though, is so you're trying
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: to say if the woman came up to him and said,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: you used to mess with my friend on your other wife, right,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: what's her reason if he come up making that state?
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Except she trying to be messy? That sound like she
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: about to succeed, because now she's talking about do I
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: believe him or do I do some snooping. When you're snooping,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: what you're gonna find out that he did mess around
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: with this woman? And so what they gotta do with you? Though?
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: She doesn't want it to happen to her, that's all.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: That's okay. Well, but see it ain't nothing happened to her.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: This strawberry letter ain't about I think my husband messing around.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: This letter was me and my husband having done him.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: A woman came up to me, called him by his name,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: and then said, I remember you used to see my
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: friend and he was married to your other wife. But
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: the part I love is that he act like he
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: didn't know it. That's what I love. My man, My man,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: he did get away from our table lady, and know
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: what she talking? She does some snooping and finds out
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and what sure, what do you mean? And then what?
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: So now he has to pay for a past relationship
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: he had with his former wife. You're talking about if
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: she starts snooping, what if she finds out that he's
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: messing around on her too? Oh? The current wi the
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: letter writer, The letter writer, Yeah, it's just that's why
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: she now she does why what? What? What's the reason?
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Because he's cheated before? Because the woman came up and said,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: he cheated before? What I gotta do with you? That's
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: why she wants to do. That's why she wants to
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: snoop to see. Wow, that's how y'all think. Uh yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: we're going do it. Then your head and be careful
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: for looking himself because you might fast. You might find
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: exactly I'm so glad to show y'all have. For all
