- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join, join me, be you doing me. You
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turn, you gotta turn to turn them out, turn,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out. Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your bab I show will good morning
- 2:03Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:06Speaker 1: me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:09Speaker 1: show particular me this morning. Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:16Speaker 1: show feel with nothing but joy and hope about it too.
- 2:21Speaker 1: You know, it's a great thing to be able to
- 2:22Speaker 1: wake up in the morning with peace in your heart
- 2:25Speaker 1: and joy. Peace and joy is is immeasurable. It has
- 2:31Speaker 1: a value attached to it, and I have no idea
- 2:33Speaker 1: what it is. It's invaluable. It is worth so much
- 2:37Speaker 1: more than than any amount of money you can make.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Peace and joy. I have not always had that. I
- 2:45Speaker 1: have not always been a peaceful person or a person
- 2:50Speaker 1: who lived his life in a joy spirit. It took
- 2:54Speaker 1: an arrival at this moment. Some people arrive sooner than others.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I I had arrived at this point sooner, but I
- 3:04Speaker 1: think it was necessary for me to learn a few
- 3:06Speaker 1: things too. That's the amazing thing I've learned about life
- 3:11Speaker 1: is that instead of reflecting on your past incidences and
- 3:17Speaker 1: calling them failures, instead of focusing on the negative and
- 3:22Speaker 1: calling them bad times, I look at them now as experiences.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I had to have those experiences that were negative, that
- 3:32Speaker 1: were good, positive, wrong, even I had to have all
- 3:37Speaker 1: those experiences to become, to shape who we are today.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We all have to have them. If you look back
- 3:46Speaker 1: at all the negative experiences you've had, all the things
- 3:50Speaker 1: that you called failures, all the businesses I started that
- 3:54Speaker 1: went under, all of the jobs I had that I
- 3:57Speaker 1: was fired from, all the shows that were canceled, all
- 4:01Speaker 1: of the times I thought I was going to get
- 4:04Speaker 1: something happened in my way and turned out I didn't
- 4:06Speaker 1: get it at all. When you look at all of it,
- 4:09Speaker 1: all of it, hopefully along the way, what you have
- 4:13Speaker 1: done as a person is you've taken those negatives and
- 4:17Speaker 1: those failures and you've used them for what they actually are.
- 4:21Speaker 1: They are experiences, and they've now created in you an
- 4:26Speaker 1: experienced person and you know that is worth something. That's
- 4:32Speaker 1: then it becomes a positive. But what too many people
- 4:37Speaker 1: do is they let the negative things that have happened
- 4:40Speaker 1: in their life. They allow the failures that have happened
- 4:43Speaker 1: in them lives never to manifest themselves as experiences. And
- 4:47Speaker 1: you sit up there and you dwell on it, and
- 4:50Speaker 1: you dwell on it until you have this woe is
- 4:52Speaker 1: me attitude. Stop looking at it like that, y'all. You
- 4:57Speaker 1: go through things in order to become the p that
- 5:00Speaker 1: you are today. I'll tell you who you sometimes have
- 5:03Speaker 1: to sit down and talk to. Sometimes you ought to
- 5:05Speaker 1: sit down to an inmate that really gets it. An
- 5:08Speaker 1: inmate that says, man, I've actually heard inmates say it
- 5:12Speaker 1: to me and write to me, and they've said things like, man,
- 5:16Speaker 1: coming to prison, save my life. Now, those of you
- 5:19Speaker 1: have never gone, how can he say a thing like that?
- 5:21Speaker 1: But some men, no, Man, I was so far out
- 5:25Speaker 1: there that if I had stayed out there, I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 1: even be here today. This actually allowed me to stop,
- 5:31Speaker 1: spend some time with myself and learn some things about me.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Now does that happen for everybody like that? Now? But
- 5:37Speaker 1: here's a person who was taking an experience that could
- 5:40Speaker 1: be considered a failure or a negative and turning it
- 5:43Speaker 1: into a positive and using it to enrich their lives.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You can do it no matter what your set of
- 5:49Speaker 1: circumstances is. I recommend to everybody that you try changing
- 5:53Speaker 1: your outlook in order to change your outcome. Everything that
- 5:57Speaker 1: happens to you that's negative or you consider failure their experiences.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You've got to go through these things in order to
- 6:03Speaker 1: have the knowledge that you have today. So I wish
- 6:06Speaker 1: that I had come to this arrival that I mean now,
- 6:10Speaker 1: this place of peace and joy. But then guess what,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I would not know what I know. I could not
- 6:15Speaker 1: share some of the things that I'm able to share
- 6:18Speaker 1: if I had not gone through some of them. And
- 6:21Speaker 1: sometimes that's the purpose of them, is to teach you
- 6:23Speaker 1: a lesson because you know, God has a plan for you,
- 6:26Speaker 1: He really really does, and eventually he can use you
- 6:29Speaker 1: no matter how old you are, and he can use
- 6:32Speaker 1: you no matter how young you are. If you just say, Okay,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm ready to hear your plan. I've tried mine, mine
- 6:39Speaker 1: ain't worked out. What's your plan for me? God, what
- 6:42Speaker 1: do you want me to do? That's why I say
- 6:45Speaker 1: every day Steve Harvey got radio show, y'all, because man,
- 6:48Speaker 1: I ain't see it coming. I didn't see that coming.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I ain't see this book coming. I ain't seen I
- 6:53Speaker 1: ain't seen it. Half of the amazing things that are
- 6:55Speaker 1: happened to me, I didn't plan them. I was sitting there, man,
- 6:59Speaker 1: ask God for some direction. And then I got smart
- 7:03Speaker 1: enough to stay watchful, be a hard worker now because faithful,
- 7:07Speaker 1: our works is dead, and it came. And I'll remind
- 7:10Speaker 1: you of this. God has given all of you a gift.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Every last one of you listening has a gift. God
- 7:16Speaker 1: has never created a soul that he did not provide
- 7:18Speaker 1: a gift to. God gives everyone a gift, and a
- 7:22Speaker 1: gift is not just singing, rapping entertainment. The richer gifts
- 7:27Speaker 1: are much more than that. Teachers are gifted people who
- 7:31Speaker 1: really have the gift of sharing information. That's a gift,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you know, and in that you can become great. You
- 7:40Speaker 1: know a lot of people people think that successful and
- 7:45Speaker 1: greatness is the same thing. Cornell West said it at
- 7:48Speaker 1: my daughter's graduation. He was a spokesperson. He said something
- 7:51Speaker 1: so pointed. He said, don't ever confuse success with greatness.
- 7:56Speaker 1: The two have nothing to do with each other. See
- 7:59Speaker 1: people do termed success about money and fame and all
- 8:02Speaker 1: this here, but greatness. Greatness ain't got nothing to do
- 8:05Speaker 1: with your money. It ain't got nothing to do with
- 8:08Speaker 1: your fame. It's how you conduct your life. It's how
- 8:11Speaker 1: meaningful and significant you become in your community, at your church,
- 8:16Speaker 1: on your job, to the club scout unit that you run,
- 8:20Speaker 1: to the little girls lives that you change, that that
- 8:22Speaker 1: little center in the hood. Who are you just one
- 8:25Speaker 1: place of hope to so many people and they come back.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And I used the example of lou Danzler who passed
- 8:31Speaker 1: away in LA who had the Boys and Girls Challenges
- 8:33Speaker 1: Club out in LA. And he wasn't a rich man
- 8:36Speaker 1: at all, and if you walk by him, you wouldn't
- 8:38Speaker 1: even know who he was. But if you look at
- 8:40Speaker 1: all the people who have gone on to become politicians,
- 8:44Speaker 1: who have gone on to become CEO's, who have gone
- 8:47Speaker 1: on to become athletes, that have passed through this man's
- 8:50Speaker 1: small building in the hood in La, he was a great.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Trust me man prad changes things, I said all the time.
- 8:58Speaker 1: But when you see people become I'm successful or great,
- 9:01Speaker 1: that somebody praying somewhere may not even beat them. Maybe
- 9:04Speaker 1: it's day mama. You know, I think of Tiger Woods
- 9:07Speaker 1: and all the greatness he's accomplished. You know they always
- 9:10Speaker 1: talk about as farther than all this here, somebody somewhere
- 9:13Speaker 1: praying for Tiger Woods. I got cash money riding on
- 9:17Speaker 1: that Tiger Woods. Mama is a praying woman or something.
- 9:20Speaker 1: My mother was. She prayed me into this place because
- 9:23Speaker 1: she should call me all the time. Praying for your boy,
- 9:26Speaker 1: and prayer changes things, It really does. Try it today.
- 9:30Speaker 1: It can change you. It has changed millions of people.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Open up yourself to the greatness that's in you, because
- 9:37Speaker 1: God is giving you a gift that the fact that
- 9:39Speaker 1: you ain't using it. Who fought you think that is?
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm just telling you you got one, and if you
- 9:45Speaker 1: start praying about it, it'll manifest itself and you can
- 9:49Speaker 1: become one or two things, successful or great or both.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You can make the decision. Today morning show, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: may I have your attention please, This is a Steve
- 10:07Speaker 1: Harvey Morning show. This show right here's live. This show
- 10:11Speaker 1: is in color. About color and anybody else? All of
- 10:18Speaker 1: us are colored anyway. Some shade of something that's true.
- 10:22Speaker 1: That's right, all right. Shirley Straw Period good morning and
- 10:28Speaker 1: colored man blonde color color for real, Good morning? What's up?

- 10:50Speaker 1: was at the HR meeting, So I have you have

- 10:56Speaker 1: this is reality radio. You. Yeah, I'm gonna change. You
- 10:59Speaker 1: have to step about, ma'am you create. I'm sorry, yeah, yeah,
- 11:03Speaker 1: according to my HR meetings only family members. Let's go
- 11:06Speaker 1: because you know, man, I you know I have to
- 11:08Speaker 1: for every show I do, I have to go to
- 11:09Speaker 1: an HR meeting. Yeah. Yeah, that's a good thing. No
- 11:16Speaker 1: it ain't, but I'm going. You know it's so hard. Well,
- 11:25Speaker 1: how you feel today? You know what? I'm pretty good today.
- 11:29Speaker 1: You know, got a lot of energy filling up. You
- 11:31Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, bouncing that you got it working?
- 11:35Speaker 1: All right? Do it? Do it? You don't shake it,
- 11:37Speaker 1: shake it, bake it, bake it feeling good? An ain't reme.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I've been nigging my whole life. I mean, not just
- 11:45Speaker 1: it's just you know, you ever think about changing? I
- 11:49Speaker 1: probably can't now. My mama asked me that when I
- 11:53Speaker 1: was ten, do you ever think about getting yourself together?
- 11:57Speaker 1: At ten? That's my mom ten? You what it's it's
- 12:00Speaker 1: heading in the wrong lash. But your mom was able
- 12:05Speaker 1: to see you when you made it and got famous
- 12:07Speaker 1: in everything. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. They had all them jets.
- 12:10Speaker 1: They had Jet magazine, me and and we was on
- 12:14Speaker 1: the cover jet. She didn't know how it made it
- 12:16Speaker 1: till I got on jet. That's when you're dere. Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 1: She bought about fifty of them and had them fanned
- 12:21Speaker 1: out like a deck of card. But you couldn't touch
- 12:24Speaker 1: them though. Yeah, you have to invite people over so
- 12:26Speaker 1: they can feel. People would touch your jet. Excuse me,
- 12:31Speaker 1: that's my baby to the jets. What did she say
- 12:34Speaker 1: to you, though, Steve, when you have made it? What
- 12:36Speaker 1: did she say? She said, my daddy out to LA
- 12:38Speaker 1: to see why I was getting this money from She
- 12:43Speaker 1: thought I was selling dope boy no dog. My mother.
- 12:49Speaker 1: She didn't know what I was doing, but she did
- 12:51Speaker 1: not see how jokes could allow me to send them
- 12:56Speaker 1: that much money every week. So she said she get
- 13:00Speaker 1: on the plane and go out there and see what
- 13:02Speaker 1: that boy into. Because she knew my daddy could figure
- 13:04Speaker 1: it out, because my daddy was a hustler. So she
- 13:07Speaker 1: sent him out here. Boy, your mum would think, some
- 13:10Speaker 1: where's you getting all this money from? I had an apartment?
- 13:13Speaker 1: He can't, well, how big is the thing right here?
- 13:15Speaker 1: Who stay here? I said, just you and who? You
- 13:19Speaker 1: ain't got a roommates. You paid it by yourself. They
- 13:25Speaker 1: didn't get to see me make it though. They tried
- 13:30Speaker 1: to be too short. All right, we'll be back at
- 13:34Speaker 1: thirty two after the hour. It ain't that funny right after.
- 13:40Speaker 1: That's pretty funny. You're listening, all right, Stephen. The guys,
- 13:50Speaker 1: this is This is a segment Jay Rode called You're

- 15:29Speaker 1: God left the baby on the phone. Remember I was
- 15:40Speaker 1: saying my mom, I was working. I ain't gonna kill
- 15:42Speaker 1: me because I was halfway to work. One time I
- 15:44Speaker 1: realized I'd have left the front door wide. People just
- 15:48Speaker 1: ding by looking in the house. His one on. You
- 15:55Speaker 1: all dressed up and you look down right, you got

- 16:35Speaker 1: to work and then realized when I get to work,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I would have to borrow some money. Damn was imnn
- 16:46Speaker 1: have to borrow from somebody? Yeah, somebody I got wanted
- 16:51Speaker 1: to kill you. This was back in the day. I've
- 16:54Speaker 1: been on my way to work and forgot that I
- 16:56Speaker 1: didn't even go home that night. Oh you didn't check
- 17:01Speaker 1: in some people looking for what mean you didn't do
- 17:08Speaker 1: I just had to go to work from where I was.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You never made it back home. No, I love it,
- 17:17Speaker 1: love it. Yeah, you had where to work, and you
- 17:22Speaker 1: realize I had this on yesterday night. That's house the
- 17:30Speaker 1: night before, and you knew you. I have told I
- 17:35Speaker 1: told my ex wife that I fell asleep after job
- 17:40Speaker 1: in the parking lot and Jeff woke up and run
- 17:42Speaker 1: on back into the world. I was so tired. I
- 17:45Speaker 1: was so tired. I was so tired. Yeah I've done that.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It'll be halfway to work and realize it's Sunday. Yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 1: can't you listening to the joke? You got one. Yeah,
- 18:04Speaker 1: I've been halfway to work and realize I don't even
- 18:08Speaker 1: work here no more. I'm driving behind him to a job.

- 18:34Speaker 1: quit today. You're gonna quit today? Oh? How about just
- 18:37Speaker 1: how about just you halfway to work? You're driving right,
- 18:41Speaker 1: you look down and you say to yourself, I am
- 18:44Speaker 1: not gonna make it all day in these new shoes.
- 18:47Speaker 1: It's not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. He's gonna quit.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Take these off. Yeah, you're gonna You're gonna need a
- 18:53Speaker 1: butcher knife, so you know, bad out my feet. I
- 19:01Speaker 1: ain't gonna do it. You ever got halfway to work?
- 19:04Speaker 1: This ain't really funny. It's just true. You ever got
- 19:06Speaker 1: halfway to work and realize you don't like what you
- 19:08Speaker 1: got on? Oh yeah, yeah, because your whole day will
- 19:12Speaker 1: be messed up if you don't like what you got
- 19:15Speaker 1: on you got to feel. Yeah, you ever put something
- 19:19Speaker 1: on and had to just tug on it all day? Yeah?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Just be pulling on it. Yeah, you gotta sit a
- 19:26Speaker 1: certain way for it to look just right. Yeah, that's
- 19:30Speaker 1: an uncomfortable Feel comfortable. Now, have you gone back home
- 19:34Speaker 1: to change? Ain't no, ain't gone else, but you gotta
- 19:42Speaker 1: go back. Get that phone, Tommy, dude. Yeah at the

- 20:08Speaker 1: see that kind of stuff. I just ain't doing nothing ignorant. Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 1: that's right, that's right. SPOS would be a limit at
- 20:15Speaker 1: one point in time. It be supposed to be a
- 20:17Speaker 1: cut off point. Who says that? Who said that the
- 20:21Speaker 1: lord who was starting? The Lord ain't putting no cut
- 20:25Speaker 1: off point on the lordly suggested Conanue. Well Tommy, well
- 20:37Speaker 1: Tommy's at that fifty year mark, so you say it's time.

- 22:25Speaker 1: I think that's gonna be good. Yeah, we could play
- 22:27Speaker 1: till like I guess put out ten o'clock, seven thirty teen.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I'm correct. Yeah, I'm gonna play something. They're not gonna
- 22:35Speaker 1: get going good till about ten. So I'm gonna say
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this to you right now. You think
- 22:42Speaker 1: you guys could probably go to midnight maybe twelve thirty
- 22:45Speaker 1: if I if I make that thing a nine five
- 22:47Speaker 1: thousand dollars, sounds good to me, we could definitely work
- 22:51Speaker 1: with that. You can work with that. Yeah, yeah, well
- 22:54Speaker 1: we'll accommodate. It's gonna be an awesome party. We're gonna
- 22:57Speaker 1: we're gonna bring this. Okay, we got that out of the
- 23:01Speaker 1: the way. I'll tell you what I think. The main
- 23:03Speaker 1: thing that we haven't gone over is we haven't gone
- 23:05Speaker 1: over to songs. And that's what that's what's gonna be
- 23:09Speaker 1: impartant for this show down. Now you you can. I
- 23:12Speaker 1: you got a pin and a pad, you can write
- 23:14Speaker 1: this down? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I write it down? All right? Down,
- 23:17Speaker 1: give me a second, go ahead, alright, all right, yeah yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I got all right, I'm ready. I just want to
- 23:23Speaker 1: be clear you guys, when you go, when you gotta
- 23:25Speaker 1: go do gigs, you do have people that want certain
- 23:30Speaker 1: uh songs? Am I right a wrong? Yeah? Usually yeah.
- 23:34Speaker 1: If you got a request, definitely let us know we
- 23:36Speaker 1: could commodate. All right, all right, well here we go,
- 23:40Speaker 1: Here we go. I want you to write this down.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I got I got something that we gotta make sure
- 23:45Speaker 1: this is gonna be doing the height of the party.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Here we go. Okay, Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks. Okay, right,
- 23:53Speaker 1: Tennessee whiskey. That's Chris Staithelton. You know that. Okay, I'm
- 23:59Speaker 1: not telling that's Jason all Day. Hold off for a second.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Is that country music? That country music? Well, that that's
- 24:07Speaker 1: that's that's that's everything. We gonna do everything. We gonna
- 24:11Speaker 1: do that said country bro. I gotta tell you right now, man,
- 24:16Speaker 1: R and B, that's our specialty. Did you not know that?
- 24:20Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? We played an R and B.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You did not know that? Oh? All I know is
- 24:26Speaker 1: you guys come hard. They tell me. You guys saying
- 24:29Speaker 1: any thing in the world. All I know is I
- 24:32Speaker 1: want to say that gun country. I want you to
- 24:35Speaker 1: that gun country music going on around here. Yeah that,
- 24:38Speaker 1: But you know, our specialty is an R and B.
- 24:41Speaker 1: That's our specialty. You know what I'm saying. It's not
- 24:43Speaker 1: like we're trained monkeys where we could just learn something
- 24:45Speaker 1: new last mint like that. You know what I'm saying that, man, man,
- 24:49Speaker 1: let's let's get let's get one Let's get one thing understood.
- 24:54Speaker 1: You're the person that said monkey, I ain't sick, but yo, yo,
- 24:58Speaker 1: I'm just now I'm no. And you know that we're
- 25:02Speaker 1: an R and D band. That's our big thing. That's
- 25:05Speaker 1: what we promote ourselves as. Let me ask you something, Richie,
- 25:08Speaker 1: but he ain't something that he didn't Not do you
- 25:13Speaker 1: not want to make the five Towns n that you
- 25:16Speaker 1: and I have already negotiating. I don't like being disrespected though.
- 25:20Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying about disrespecting you. You're just
- 25:24Speaker 1: we're an R and D band. Were all fall a country.
- 25:27Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Hang it, don't here, Richie.
- 25:30Speaker 1: You got something his country music. I have no problem
- 25:33Speaker 1: with country music. It's just that we have a full
- 25:35Speaker 1: horn section, which doesn't really work with country music. You
- 25:39Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. We play R and B. It's
- 25:41Speaker 1: not our genre. Well got what you ushould knowing? But
- 25:48Speaker 1: if I don't hear uh, let me see your girner
- 25:53Speaker 1: old my colds when they an it ain't gonna work
- 25:57Speaker 1: for me. I gotta get man, I've gotta get slow
- 26:00Speaker 1: burned by Tim Heats. I gotta get all my rowdy
- 26:04Speaker 1: friends were coming over by I hain't William. I mean that, y'all.
- 26:08Speaker 1: You know what wait wait, wait, wait waite. Kevin over
- 26:11Speaker 1: at the Many is tell him Many that you guys
- 26:13Speaker 1: can sang anything in the world. And I know you
- 26:16Speaker 1: ain't telling meny that Kevin's line, I mean, he's maybe
- 26:20Speaker 1: he should have told you explicitly what we do and
- 26:22Speaker 1: what we play. You know what I'm saying, I've never
- 26:25Speaker 1: met anybody in my life. I'm playing Palm playing Guard Brooks,
- 26:28Speaker 1: Chris Stapleton, Jason Now, Dane Brooks, and Nuns, Blake Shelton,
- 26:33Speaker 1: Cole Swindale. Lady, ain't you don't sit here and tell
- 26:37Speaker 1: me you can't play none of these songs. I want
- 26:41Speaker 1: you to get on the stage and sing the songs
- 26:44Speaker 1: that we won't go. We ain't got time to find
- 26:46Speaker 1: another group. Everybody, what, I don't get a about your
- 26:50Speaker 1: stupid party. You know what I'm saying. You came to
- 26:52Speaker 1: us to play music, and then we told you what
- 26:55Speaker 1: we do. Now, you know, right now, I feel like
- 26:59Speaker 1: I feel like we had a standoff and the okay, cold,
- 27:04Speaker 1: all right, all right, let me let me talk to
- 27:07Speaker 1: my band, all right, because this is going this is
- 27:10Speaker 1: going unnecessary too far. You know what I'm saying. Maybe
- 27:12Speaker 1: we can make it work, all right. Let me let
- 27:14Speaker 1: me let me ask you something. Is Dre the bass player? Yeah? Correct, Okay?
- 27:21Speaker 1: Can I tell you something about Dre? What about him? Tree?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Got me to plank phone call you? This is nephew
- 27:29Speaker 1: taught me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Baby, you
- 27:32Speaker 1: just got franked by your boy in the band, Dre. Damn,
- 27:38Speaker 1: damn damn. Oh, Okay, I gotta ask you something, man.
- 27:46Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the badest radio
- 27:49Speaker 1: show in the land, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Get a drummer?
- 27:58Speaker 1: Sign give him. Okay, now stupid, go ahead. Ju Hi,
- 28:07Speaker 1: Fride is sad to gon the nephew jump in this thing?
- 28:11Speaker 1: Oh did you hear me? Heat neros to come around?
- 28:14Speaker 1: What's the Yeah? I just got what? All right? Coming
- 28:22Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. Thank you, guys,
- 28:25Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 28:29Speaker 1: You're listening to show. All right, So here's a question, guys,
- 28:35Speaker 1: should we really ever blame the other woman or the
- 28:38Speaker 1: other man? Now, every time we hear that someone was
- 28:42Speaker 1: left they were cheated on with another man or woman, folks,
- 28:45Speaker 1: always we always blame the person. Uh, we always blame
- 28:49Speaker 1: that person first. Then they blame the significant other, the spouse.
- 28:52Speaker 1: We always blame the woman first. I mean, and that's
- 28:55Speaker 1: down down through history. So so the question is who
- 28:58Speaker 1: really should get the blame? I think there's enough blame
- 29:01Speaker 1: to go around, quite frank everybody, Yeah, but you know
- 29:06Speaker 1: this is crazy, but normally the woman is always the blame.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I mean, when you think about it, down through history,
- 29:13Speaker 1: people mostly blame the woman. Yeah. Yeah, so the so
- 29:17Speaker 1: then the question is like, okay, so if you're in
- 29:19Speaker 1: a relationship and you leave that relationship to get with
- 29:23Speaker 1: someone else, whole fault is it Is it the new
- 29:27Speaker 1: person's fault, you know, the woman's fault, or is it
- 29:30Speaker 1: the man's fault for leaving and hurting his significant other?
- 29:34Speaker 1: You mean, but what I mean? But he had to
- 29:36Speaker 1: have had you're saying a relationship with this other person
- 29:40Speaker 1: before he left his significant other, right, yeah, yeah, so
- 29:44Speaker 1: he was cheating? Yeah yeah, Well you know, no, whoever
- 29:50Speaker 1: is in the supposed committed relationship is to blame for
- 29:55Speaker 1: breaking the commitment. That's you know, look, you don't you Look,
- 30:01Speaker 1: you can't blame the other person. The other person ain't
- 30:04Speaker 1: promised you nothing. The other other person didn't take no vows.
- 30:09Speaker 1: The other person didn't promise you nothing. You'll directed anger
- 30:15Speaker 1: should be at the person who broke the commitment to you,
- 30:18Speaker 1: who broke your trust. That's your problem now you can
- 30:22Speaker 1: feel now if you see her, you're gonna have problem
- 30:24Speaker 1: with it. Because she knew that you were in a relationship.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Why didn't she leave you alone? That that's the other argument,
- 30:31Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, that's the argument on the
- 30:32Speaker 1: other side, Well, she knew we were in a relationship,
- 30:35Speaker 1: why was she in it? And she already knew he
- 30:37Speaker 1: had a girl or why did he pursue It is
- 30:39Speaker 1: the bigger question. But because see, if it wasn't her,
- 30:44Speaker 1: it would have been somebody else. Because if he's in
- 30:46Speaker 1: the pursue other women business, it doesn't matter that it's her.
- 30:50Speaker 1: If it's not her, it's gonna be somebody else pursued, right, Yeah,
- 30:53Speaker 1: because he in the pursue game. But the women, so
- 30:57Speaker 1: most of the time gets blamed get blamed for that.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Women do she knew we were in a relationship that
- 31:04Speaker 1: women don't usually blame the men if the men cheat,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I mean after the fact. Yeah, but and and they
- 31:10Speaker 1: go so far as to take the man back that
- 31:12Speaker 1: has cheated on. Yeah, but the woman is outcast. Yeah
- 31:17Speaker 1: they threw Yeah, they're done. So you said, blame the
- 31:22Speaker 1: person that with the commitment. I agree with that. Yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 1: that's how it should That's how it should go. But
- 31:29Speaker 1: it doesn't often go that way. You're right though, Yeah,
- 31:35Speaker 1: Well I blame my best friend breaking up what he dated.
- 31:43Speaker 1: He ended up messing around with my girlfriend long long
- 31:46Speaker 1: time ago. But I blamed his aunts. I did, Junior. Well,
- 31:51Speaker 1: don't don't say that time. Everything gets so personal on
- 31:55Speaker 1: this show. I'm sure he knows who it is to see.
- 31:58Speaker 1: We comedian, that's how we we. The jumps come from
- 32:02Speaker 1: this therapy. Jumps that come from that j Yeah, I
- 32:10Speaker 1: come back and then I catched them kissing on the couch, like,
- 32:14Speaker 1: oh dog. But they looked at me like, you're gonna
- 32:16Speaker 1: put that in the kitchen. No, I'm not gonna put
- 32:18Speaker 1: that in the kitchen. You you know, you know he
- 32:24Speaker 1: look like time though, looking like, ah, you gonna put
- 32:31Speaker 1: that down right there. No, I just caught you kissing
- 32:33Speaker 1: my girl. Yeah, you went to the store and something. Yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and you left them alone in the house. Yeah, and
- 32:41Speaker 1: you come but this is your boy. Yeah, you come
- 32:44Speaker 1: back over the door. You know that'll see. Oh man,
- 32:47Speaker 1: you got to be kidding me. But he looked at
- 32:49Speaker 1: me and all this sudden. Man, what's up? Man, you're
- 32:51Speaker 1: gonna put that in the kitchen like you're living like
- 32:53Speaker 1: you gonna put that in the kitchen, like the drake
- 32:55Speaker 1: is going in the kitchen right now. Cocacoa. Yeah, if
- 32:59Speaker 1: you whoop back there, like I said, we wouldn't be
- 33:02Speaker 1: coming everything. That's how you get paid. If I walk
- 33:09Speaker 1: in to my house and my pardner kissing my girl
- 33:12Speaker 1: on the couch, Yeah, it's gonna be some hell up
- 33:15Speaker 1: in him. It's gonna be some real hell up in him,
- 33:19Speaker 1: because dog, my house dog, and you think less of me.
- 33:23Speaker 1: You don't even have enough respect for me. You already
- 33:26Speaker 1: disrespected me with my girl, and so is she disrespecting
- 33:29Speaker 1: me with you. But you're gonna come in my house
- 33:31Speaker 1: like I ain't nothing. Oh naw, dog, I promise you
- 33:36Speaker 1: me and your asses at walk. But see, and that's
- 33:40Speaker 1: normally what happens, Steve, that's normally what happens. That's that's
- 33:45Speaker 1: normally what happens. What you just said. But earlier you
- 33:48Speaker 1: said it's the responsibility of the one who's in the commitment. Yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 1: but see, no if here you see it and see's
- 33:59Speaker 1: a double staf No, I get it, but I'm saying
- 34:01Speaker 1: it ain't no double standardship. This is what. Okay, go ahead,
- 34:04Speaker 1: finish your thought. Now I'm listening to me. Now we're
- 34:09Speaker 1: in this here. But now if you might, dude, yeah,
- 34:14Speaker 1: and I know you see. Now we got to go
- 34:16Speaker 1: into man code. Man code is you don't do your
- 34:21Speaker 1: boys girls. There's too many women out here that's available.
- 34:26Speaker 1: So now you over here in mind, then you in
- 34:30Speaker 1: my house. Yeah, that's what happened to care same thing.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Why wasn't that my house? It was her house? Yeah? Well, oh,
- 34:36Speaker 1: I was a comedian, you know, I just thought I
- 34:38Speaker 1: hand over there. I was with her just for shelter.
- 34:40Speaker 1: But it was your friend though. The don't you understand
- 34:43Speaker 1: we had to stay at place with fus that this
- 34:46Speaker 1: is true? Man? Yeah, where you girl? I love her
- 34:50Speaker 1: for places when I was homeless. Man, I probably told
- 34:54Speaker 1: about six girls and your im because I had to
- 34:59Speaker 1: let me stay definitely, So they come home while I'll
- 35:04Speaker 1: be cooking everything, you'll be doing everything. And just just
- 35:08Speaker 1: just know that Junior, we can steal. He's still around.
- 35:12Speaker 1: All right, all right, we gotta go. You're listening the
- 35:21Speaker 1: time now for comedy roulette fellas to come on. J
- 35:28Speaker 1: All right, here we go. Here's what we do. You
- 35:30Speaker 1: take four subjects, you put them on a wheel, spun
- 35:32Speaker 1: the wheel where the wheel stop. Because we're professional comedians,
- 35:37Speaker 1: we will do the damn thing uh things Christians say
- 35:41Speaker 1: when they cuss. M hmm. Thank you say to your
- 35:45Speaker 1: banker when you're overdrawn. M m. The things you didn't
- 35:50Speaker 1: know were in the fridge that have gone bad, not
- 35:52Speaker 1: until you open it. And the last one is things
- 35:56Speaker 1: people say at a funeral, who overdo it? Oh? Sorry,
- 36:02Speaker 1: let's bank, let's get that bank. Bank wasn't refrigerator though,
- 36:12Speaker 1: let me go saying funeral? Who overdo it? Things people
- 36:21Speaker 1: say at the funeral that overdo it? Right? Where did
- 36:25Speaker 1: you gonna sit your ass down? That's right in down
- 36:37Speaker 1: this funeral, This funeral is so nice. I hate I'm
- 36:40Speaker 1: gonna miss man. You know what? He lucky he did
- 36:46Speaker 1: because she can't sing with a damning People say at
- 36:53Speaker 1: the funeral, who overdo it? Yeah? He show died good?
- 37:00Speaker 1: How do you do so good? That little dog went
- 37:06Speaker 1: over there? That wasn't even his. Oh that's a black
- 37:12Speaker 1: funeral right there? For real? That was fast? Well, you
- 37:16Speaker 1: know she was. She was cremated, but she always wanted
- 37:19Speaker 1: a hot, smoking body. She always People say, I'm so
- 37:28Speaker 1: sad you don't. I'm gonna see you later, no matter
- 37:31Speaker 1: where you go, heaven, o, hell, I see you come on.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Ain't nobody like I did? No like? I tell you
- 37:50Speaker 1: what though, what I'm most interested in seeing how didn't
- 37:54Speaker 1: gonna get him to that hearse? You know what? He
- 38:01Speaker 1: would have wanted me to sing staying alive. He really
- 38:03Speaker 1: would have wanted me to sing he gave me. Did
- 38:09Speaker 1: I just tow him yesterday? All right, thank you guys,
- 38:15Speaker 1: good job as always, you're listening. All right, Steve, go ahead, Well,
- 38:23Speaker 1: now what you about to him? It's pure comedic genius,
- 38:33Speaker 1: but I must play a disclaimer. This is going to
- 38:38Speaker 1: be a little edgy. He's gonna ruffle a couple of feathers.
- 38:47Speaker 1: So I'm just letting you know this. This is Jay
- 38:50Speaker 1: Anthony Brown. He asked me, couldn't do it? And I
- 38:56Speaker 1: kind of got an idea. I don't know exactly what
- 38:59Speaker 1: it is, but I'm in supportive comedy. Yeah, but I'm
- 39:05Speaker 1: saying we're doing this with a disclaimer, okay, that no
- 39:09Speaker 1: one can call us and say nothing about it. I
- 39:11Speaker 1: don't know exactly what are gonna do, but he could
- 39:15Speaker 1: ruffle some feathers, ladies and gentlemen. Jay Anthony Brown, all right,
- 39:19Speaker 1: what I'm what I'm about to do right now? Every year,
- 39:23Speaker 1: a lot of people, good people, you know, meaning good
- 39:27Speaker 1: have quanza parties. Now, okay, let's stop right there. Yes,
- 39:32Speaker 1: I don't think it's a lot of people. You can
- 39:35Speaker 1: go ahead. You must be trying to build this joke up,
- 39:39Speaker 1: and I'm trying to not a lot of quans. How
- 39:44Speaker 1: about people have a quanza party and don't a lot
- 39:48Speaker 1: of people come, and they wonder why people don't come.
- 39:53Speaker 1: What I have is suggestions to get more people to
- 39:57Speaker 1: your quanza party. Number one, offer a free die she
- 40:02Speaker 1: getting anybody who will show up one size fit all right,
- 40:17Speaker 1: everybody that shows that quansa party, you get a free
- 40:22Speaker 1: being power. If you don't like me, septato, if you
- 40:26Speaker 1: can't everybody don't like Okay, now this one is really good.
- 40:33Speaker 1: This is really really good. If you have a quanza party, Steve,
- 40:37Speaker 1: you can demonstrate what I mean by this. You not
- 40:40Speaker 1: have more than two philosophying brothers or sisters at your party.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Don't want it. You don't want more than two in there.
- 40:49Speaker 1: You don't want to, you know, brothers. Let me say
- 40:52Speaker 1: this about this time, this period that we partake of,
- 40:56Speaker 1: in this equestrious moment. Yeah, you're defiling or the gratuitousness
- 41:04Speaker 1: or the barbarousness of what these holidays are. Two. That's
- 41:09Speaker 1: why we celebrate quality. But I dare say, though, brother,
- 41:15Speaker 1: you don't want that. We have competulate the situation, knowing
- 41:21Speaker 1: that it is far regarically not a capability of scientific split.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Let let me interject some sensibility into this conversation. Okay,
- 41:33Speaker 1: you don't want a whole bunch of them at your party. Okay,
- 41:37Speaker 1: it tends up the move number five. Easer, This is
- 41:42Speaker 1: very important, Easer. You know what E's up mean, right,
- 41:47Speaker 1: he's up on the incense and sage. Okay, because the
- 41:57Speaker 1: back of my nose is burning. How about shoes that
- 42:03Speaker 1: like I got a headache? Noxious my green taste, like
- 42:14Speaker 1: Saint number two? You want number seven? You want to
- 42:23Speaker 1: play something other than the Lion King. And this is
- 42:26Speaker 1: npointant that African drummers don't have to play all night long. Okay,
- 42:34Speaker 1: they Shirley and last Fornightly, Last Fornightly. Don't tell nobody
- 42:43Speaker 1: it's a quins a party. Just tell him come over, Okay,
- 42:48Speaker 1: don't have to tell him something you can. I'm having
- 42:50Speaker 1: a I'm having a party, all right. Listen, coming up
- 43:03Speaker 1: for the nephew, uh with today's prank phone call. That's
- 43:06Speaker 1: coming up right Corpe. You're listening to the string show
- 43:15Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour right about
- 43:17Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's today's Strawberry letter. Right now, though
- 43:21Speaker 1: it is the nephew's turn to give us the prank
- 43:23Speaker 1: phone call for today. What you got nef whack status?
- 43:28Speaker 1: Huh wax daddy, Oh my, that's it's early. Okay, Well
- 43:37Speaker 1: we gonna wha statu Turley call it gonna get you done.
- 43:42Speaker 1: But I'm just draining with you. Yes, I'm gonna say
- 43:55Speaker 1: it again. Wax dad. Here we go running. Hello. Hello,

- 44:17Speaker 1: a minute of plutment. What you have a spa treatment
- 44:21Speaker 1: scheduled m at eleven on Thursday. You did receive a

- 44:33Speaker 1: she's made an appointment for you for eleven o'clock on
- 44:36Speaker 1: this coming Thursdays. I'm just calling to confirm that you
- 44:39Speaker 1: would definitely be in to the salon. Well, I thought
- 44:42Speaker 1: this was like a couple's massage or something like that.
- 44:44Speaker 1: So what is the treatment all about what's what do
- 44:47Speaker 1: you guys? I don't I understand? Um, well, she's got
- 44:50Speaker 1: you signed up for let me look, she's got you
- 44:54Speaker 1: signed up for us to actually wax your back in
- 45:00Speaker 1: your buttocks on Thursday. And we actually have a special
- 45:05Speaker 1: that we have, um a mansillion, which is as isn't
- 45:12Speaker 1: for real? Sure we have you lined up for an appointment.
- 45:15Speaker 1: If you don't want the appointment, please let us know.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Wax my my back and my get that all out
- 45:23Speaker 1: of here, man's zillion. But your your wife has set
- 45:29Speaker 1: you up for a back and butt hair removal, which
- 45:34Speaker 1: is waxing. And what I'm saying is a mansilian is
- 45:37Speaker 1: if you would like that, we would remove all the
- 45:39Speaker 1: hair from your private area as well. Yeah, try a
- 45:44Speaker 1: good man. There's no way I'm getting my private black.
- 45:48Speaker 1: What's it like to be hairless like like that? No way,
- 45:54Speaker 1: get out of here. Evidently, if your wife has set
- 45:57Speaker 1: you up for this, maybe she's not in you. All
- 46:00Speaker 1: you have you evidentitely have a lot of hair on
- 46:02Speaker 1: your back. I'm gonnasume me. Yeah, I'm a hairy guy.
- 46:05Speaker 1: But she's never said anything. Abattist. He likes it, Okay,
- 46:08Speaker 1: he calls me a home torill us. He loves it. Well,
- 46:11Speaker 1: maybe it's a mix of communication, because this is the
- 46:14Speaker 1: thing she's asking us to do, is to remove your hair. Yeah, no,
- 46:18Speaker 1: that's not happening. And if she's gonna tell me yourself,
- 46:21Speaker 1: and there's no way I'm going in to have somebody
- 46:24Speaker 1: ripped the hair off my back and my hands in
- 46:26Speaker 1: my private you're kidding me to get the gout of here.
- 46:30Speaker 1: This is crazy. This is this is a very professional procedure.
- 46:34Speaker 1: It won't take long. We'll have you in and out
- 46:36Speaker 1: within forty five minutes. But you're gonna forty five minutes,
- 46:41Speaker 1: forty five minutes to rip off all of this hair.
- 46:44Speaker 1: That sounds like torture? Should he mean okay? Sure you know. No, No,
- 46:50Speaker 1: I think we're done. I think you know we're done.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I mean I mean I'm anna sell her to get
- 46:55Speaker 1: a refund. It's getting a refund. Okay, they're not gonna
- 47:00Speaker 1: be a refund. Now you're supposed to come in and eleven.
- 47:03Speaker 1: This is something that she wants you to do. Yeah,
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm not listen to me. I am not getting wax.
- 47:10Speaker 1: That's not something a man does. There's no way I'm
- 47:13Speaker 1: doing that. If this is for real. I'm gonna have
- 47:15Speaker 1: a talk with her as soon as she gets home,
- 47:17Speaker 1: because no, no, no, cher, cher right now, right now,
- 47:22Speaker 1: you're a disrespecting my profession. That's what you're doing. Okay. Look,
- 47:26Speaker 1: I'm not saying I don't. I don't know what this
- 47:27Speaker 1: is all about. I don't. I'm not trying to disrespect anybody.
- 47:30Speaker 1: But stop why I'm doing this? All right? I'm not
- 47:32Speaker 1: getting it back. No, there's no way. Okay. So evidently
- 47:37Speaker 1: your wife wanted, or she wouldn't have purchased it from
- 47:40Speaker 1: us to have you come in and get it done. Well, yeah,
- 47:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to talk to her about that. I mean,
- 47:44Speaker 1: if there's something she wants to watch, you can wax
- 47:46Speaker 1: her private that's cool. But a man has hair. I mean,
- 47:49Speaker 1: it's it's well, if she's appointment, then she's serious about
- 47:53Speaker 1: getting it done. Yeah, Well I'm serious about not going. So,
- 47:57Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I don't know how I explain
- 48:00Speaker 1: it to you. I'm not coming in. You can reschedule
- 48:02Speaker 1: it for somebody else. I'll talk to her when she
- 48:05Speaker 1: gets home. But that's that's it. I'm justife has paid
- 48:08Speaker 1: two hundred dollars for this procedure. Did you say two
- 48:12Speaker 1: hundred dollars? Your wife has paid two hundred dollars for
- 48:15Speaker 1: this procedure. Yeah, no, she said, who's gonna get a refund?
- 48:19Speaker 1: You guys, this is wait, sir, Sir Owen, this is
- 48:24Speaker 1: not refundable, so there is no money coming back. I
- 48:28Speaker 1: will let you know that two hundred bucks. There's no way.
- 48:33Speaker 1: You gotta be kidding me to take care off on
- 48:37Speaker 1: my back and my two hundred bucks. Sir, this is
- 48:43Speaker 1: not very referable. Small here, I don't, I don't do it.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna get I'm gonna go to the dollars store
- 48:48Speaker 1: and get a pack of raisers for a dollar, and
- 48:51Speaker 1: she's gonna do it herself, and I'll give her. I'll
- 48:53Speaker 1: give her ten bucks. This is good. I'll give her
- 48:56Speaker 1: a tip. That's the five FI food bucks. I'm done.
- 48:59Speaker 1: I'm said two hundreds two bucks. There's no way, there's
- 49:03Speaker 1: no way we are paying that money. And you guys
- 49:06Speaker 1: are creeping that money. There's nowhere pay. Do you understand
- 49:09Speaker 1: there's no no, there's not a refund, mister Owen. There's
- 49:14Speaker 1: definitely not a refund. Mister Owen. Who are you? There's
- 49:18Speaker 1: now and I'm gonna Raman. I am Ramone here at
- 49:23Speaker 1: the spa and your wife came in and purchases wonderful
- 49:26Speaker 1: gift for you for Christmas. Remote, I don't give up. Remote. Listen, now,
- 49:31Speaker 1: you're not respecting our professions. You're acting I don't look. Look,
- 49:34Speaker 1: I'm not trying to disrespect you, but I don't care
- 49:36Speaker 1: about the profession. There's no way that's actually that's robbery.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Charging somebody two hundred bucks to rip off hair off
- 49:44Speaker 1: their their body. He gets just no way. I'm just
- 49:47Speaker 1: not doing it, and I'm gonna talk to her. She's
- 49:49Speaker 1: gonna do it herself. I cash because you're disrespecting my
- 49:52Speaker 1: profession and you're not coming in an eleven. All were
- 49:55Speaker 1: you supposed to come in an eleven so we could
- 49:57Speaker 1: watch your back in your body and now you're saying no,
- 50:00Speaker 1: there will be nothing. Whack. I'm not coming into eleven.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I'm not coming in ever. She's gonna take care of
- 50:06Speaker 1: this though. You don't have to worry about it. Ramone.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I mean respect to you, but no, I need you
- 50:10Speaker 1: to know that show and there is no refund. Okay,
- 50:14Speaker 1: I mean this is ridiculous. I don't even know why
- 50:17Speaker 1: I'm talking to you. You're cousin Peter. Have you spoken
- 50:20Speaker 1: to him lately? How do you know Peter? Peter got
- 50:23Speaker 1: me to call you. This is nephew Tommy from the
- 50:26Speaker 1: Steve Hobbin Martin Show. You just you just get out
- 50:31Speaker 1: of here because this idiot. Oh. I gotta ask you something, man.
- 50:41Speaker 1: What is the badest and I mean the baddest radio
- 50:44Speaker 1: show in the land, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Oh, the
- 50:55Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters coming up? The subject has lost his mind.
- 51:02Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show right now.
- 51:06Speaker 1: It is time for today's Strawberry Letter. If you need
- 51:08Speaker 1: any advice on relationships, dating, work, sex, parenting, and more,
- 51:12Speaker 1: submit your Strawberry letter to Steve HARVEYFM dot com and
- 51:16Speaker 1: click Submit Strawberry Letter. Buggal up and hold on tight.
- 51:21Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Subject my husband has lost his mind. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 51:29Speaker 1: I am a forty seven year old female in my
- 51:32Speaker 1: third year of marriage, in my third marriage. My husband
- 51:36Speaker 1: and I have been married for five years and he
- 51:38Speaker 1: treats me like a queen, but I feel like he
- 51:40Speaker 1: hates my seventeen year old daughter. This is his first
- 51:44Speaker 1: marriage and he has no children, so it's shocking that
- 51:47Speaker 1: he acts like a drill sergeant with my daughter. He
- 51:50Speaker 1: calls her lazy and fusses at her constantly about her chores.
- 51:54Speaker 1: He expects her to take out the trash daily and
- 51:57Speaker 1: do a few other things that I think he should
- 51:59Speaker 1: be doing as the man of the house. My daughter
- 52:02Speaker 1: is an honor student and in extracurricular activities, so she
- 52:06Speaker 1: has a busy schedule during the week. I will admit
- 52:09Speaker 1: that she can be lazy and her room is always
- 52:11Speaker 1: quite messy, but she is a typical teenager. Despite the
- 52:15Speaker 1: way he speaks to her, she is always kind and
- 52:18Speaker 1: manerable to him. Her biological father died earlier this year
- 52:22Speaker 1: and it affected her, but she's dealt with it quite well.
- 52:26Speaker 1: My husband has not stepped up into the role as
- 52:30Speaker 1: her dad. He refuses to attend any of her school
- 52:33Speaker 1: activities with me. She graduates in June and she's been
- 52:36Speaker 1: accepted to a local college that's in our city. She
- 52:39Speaker 1: plans to stay at home instead of live on campus
- 52:42Speaker 1: because it's a lot less expensive. When my husband found
- 52:46Speaker 1: this out, he told me that she could not stay
- 52:48Speaker 1: with us anymore. He told me that we are giving
- 52:51Speaker 1: her some money for graduation so she can move into
- 52:53Speaker 1: her own apartment close to the college. This really made
- 52:57Speaker 1: me mad. This is my child and will not allow
- 53:00Speaker 1: her to be mistreated like this. I told him that
- 53:03Speaker 1: he needs professional help. This is causing problems in our relationship,
- 53:08Speaker 1: but my child comes first. He said, I am being
- 53:10Speaker 1: too sensitive and that she needs to be on her
- 53:13Speaker 1: own to learn more responsibility. What do you think, please help? Well,
- 53:18Speaker 1: I mean I agree with most of what you had
- 53:21Speaker 1: to say in your letter. Your husband, I think is
- 53:23Speaker 1: out of line and he's way too harsh. I mean
- 53:25Speaker 1: there's disciplining and then there's just cruelty, just playing cruelty.
- 53:31Speaker 1: He doesn't understand obviously that when he married you he
- 53:35Speaker 1: also should have taken in your child as well. I mean,
- 53:38Speaker 1: she's almost grown, but she's still at home, she's still
- 53:41Speaker 1: in school, so she's a child still. At this point,
- 53:45Speaker 1: you yourself said that your daughter is respectful, she's an
- 53:47Speaker 1: honor student, she's mannerable with him, she has a busy
- 53:51Speaker 1: school schedule, and not to mention that her father just
- 53:55Speaker 1: recently passed. Okay, so you have to take all that
- 53:58Speaker 1: into consideration now, definitely should keep her room clean and
- 54:01Speaker 1: all of that. She shouldn't be lazy. But I haven't
- 54:04Speaker 1: heard anything here that says she's any different than any
- 54:08Speaker 1: other teenager. I mean, this is kind of this is
- 54:10Speaker 1: what I did as a teen. My room was a mess,
- 54:13Speaker 1: you know, I could my mom was always calling me
- 54:15Speaker 1: to do stuff. Okay, that's what we do as teenagers
- 54:19Speaker 1: as we try to figure it out. Yes, I think
- 54:22Speaker 1: your husband and your daughter, your whole family should get
- 54:26Speaker 1: some type of therapy. I agree with that. You know,
- 54:29Speaker 1: I doubt if he'll go though. You have to speak up.
- 54:32Speaker 1: You have to speak up more on your behalf, on
- 54:34Speaker 1: your daughter's behalf. It sounds like a situation that's only
- 54:38Speaker 1: going to get worse. I mean, I understand that he
- 54:41Speaker 1: wants her to have more responsibility and all that, and
- 54:44Speaker 1: talk to her. Maybe she will move out on her own,
- 54:47Speaker 1: but this is just not the way to handle it.
- 54:49Speaker 1: He's being mean, and I think he should take out
- 54:51Speaker 1: the trash. I do, excuse me, he should take it out, Steve.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I mean, do come on, really, bro come on, man,
- 55:02Speaker 1: Of all the things we need to tend to in
- 55:05Speaker 1: this world, of all these things we need to get right,
- 55:10Speaker 1: you've chosen her as to what's wrong in this world.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I mean, it's just now. I know this is the
- 55:16Speaker 1: one side of let her being written by this lady.
- 55:19Speaker 1: But if any of this is true, just as a man,
- 55:23Speaker 1: you have to take responsibility to the side of it
- 55:25Speaker 1: that we as men have to bear up under. Number one,
- 55:29Speaker 1: You chose this woman to be your wife. Your wife
- 55:33Speaker 1: has a child. It's a package. You gotta understand that
- 55:38Speaker 1: going in now. If you love this woman, then you
- 55:40Speaker 1: have to love the things that she loves. Her child
- 55:43Speaker 1: happens to be something she loves. So now you gotta
- 55:46Speaker 1: get with it. You're not her father, but you can
- 55:49Speaker 1: be her daddy. This is his first marriage and he
- 55:52Speaker 1: has no children, so it's shocking that he acts like
- 55:55Speaker 1: a drill sergeant with my daughter. No, it's not because
- 55:58Speaker 1: he don't know how to raise kids. So you're talking
- 56:01Speaker 1: to this girl like like a drill sergeant. Are you
- 56:04Speaker 1: kidding me? Come on, man, what's wrong with you? He
- 56:07Speaker 1: calls her lazy and fusses out of constantly about her choice.
- 56:11Speaker 1: He expects her to take out the trash daily and
- 56:14Speaker 1: do a further few things, and I think he should
- 56:16Speaker 1: be doing this. Man, It out. No, no, no, man,
- 56:19Speaker 1: I got four daughters. I've never asked him to take
- 56:21Speaker 1: the trash now, they damn brothers better get the ass something,
- 56:25Speaker 1: get this trash out. Let me come downstairs and a
- 56:28Speaker 1: trash can fool and y'all stay up past me. Now
- 56:31Speaker 1: that's how this worked, though, what are you asking you
- 56:34Speaker 1: the young lady to grow up to be to fend
- 56:37Speaker 1: for herself. She didn't know how to find for herself.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Let's look at the upside before we talk about what's
- 56:41Speaker 1: wrong with the girl. Let's talk about what's right with
- 56:43Speaker 1: she on honor roll. She's law body, and she's respectful
- 56:47Speaker 1: of you at all times. That's a good kid. She
- 56:51Speaker 1: owned a hot a roll. She respectful that she's law body.
- 56:56Speaker 1: This is a good kid. Her room, dirty man, and
- 57:00Speaker 1: what bro you out? A line man? You gotta do
- 57:07Speaker 1: a little growing up here now, the mom says, I
- 57:11Speaker 1: will admit she could be lazy in her room is
- 57:13Speaker 1: always quite messy. She's a typical teenager, and that's true.
- 57:17Speaker 1: And despite the way he speaks to her, she's always
- 57:19Speaker 1: kind amountable to him. We'll get into the rest of
- 57:22Speaker 1: the letter when I get back. I'm gonna tell you
- 57:24Speaker 1: what else is wrong with your dog, and you ain't
- 57:27Speaker 1: got to feel this for me. Therapy ain't to help
- 57:29Speaker 1: your ass. You need to change the way you treat
- 57:31Speaker 1: this girl, and you ain't got to go sit down
- 57:33Speaker 1: with nobody to do that. You gotta stop treating her
- 57:36Speaker 1: like a little boy and treat her like a princess,
- 57:40Speaker 1: because what you're teaching her now is that a man
- 57:43Speaker 1: should be yelling at her, a man should be bossing her,
- 57:46Speaker 1: and a man should be making her due. Think that's
- 57:48Speaker 1: what you're training this girl right here. That's why you
- 57:50Speaker 1: out a line. All right, we'll be back with part
- 57:52Speaker 1: two of your response to today's Strawberry Letters, subjects my
- 57:55Speaker 1: husband has lost his mind. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 58:02Speaker 1: Come on part two of your response to today's Strawberry Letter,
- 58:06Speaker 1: My husband has lost his mind. You said you were
- 58:08Speaker 1: mad when we left for birth. Well, you know what,
- 58:09Speaker 1: I'm kind of angry. Just forty seven year old lady.
- 58:12Speaker 1: She's on the third marriage. Her husband and her been
- 58:15Speaker 1: married for five years, the daughter seventeen, So he's been
- 58:17Speaker 1: in the girl's life since she toiled, and probably a
- 58:19Speaker 1: little bit before that. Because you just got married five
- 58:23Speaker 1: years ago, you probably dated for a period before that,
- 58:27Speaker 1: so he's known this girl for over five years. She
- 58:29Speaker 1: had a dad in her life, which is probably one
- 58:31Speaker 1: of the things he pissed off about, and it had
- 58:34Speaker 1: some type of relationship, but her biological father has passed
- 58:37Speaker 1: and it affected her. She was always respectful to this guy.
- 58:41Speaker 1: But this guy just talks to her like a drill sergeant,
- 58:43Speaker 1: call a lazy, fussed her constantly about her choice, expects
- 58:47Speaker 1: her to take out the trash daily. You got a
- 58:49Speaker 1: little girl and you want her to take the trash
- 58:51Speaker 1: out DamID, And y'all could disagree with me if you
- 58:53Speaker 1: want to, I'm cool with it. I don't really mind.
- 58:55Speaker 1: I've treated my little girls different than I treated my boys.
- 58:58Speaker 1: I've never made them girls take out trash. You know,
- 59:01Speaker 1: if you got a man in the house, why is
- 59:03Speaker 1: this girl taking this trash out? I mean period? Now,
- 59:06Speaker 1: look where you can call it what you want to
- 59:07Speaker 1: call it, but you can call it double standards. So
- 59:10Speaker 1: you can't be treating it all y'all out that time.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Women need to learn how to take care of themselves.
- 59:14Speaker 1: The girl is in school as an honor role study.
- 59:16Speaker 1: She's seventeen. She's respectful, and she laved body. She's a
- 59:21Speaker 1: great kid. She's just trying to figure it out. She's seventeen.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Her room junk is so what quit going in now?
- 59:26Speaker 1: Typical teenager? Hell, I just quit going in my kid's
- 59:29Speaker 1: role to tell you live how you want to live.
- 59:32Speaker 1: But don't bring that junk out here in the house though,
- 59:33Speaker 1: because our house stayed looking nice because Marge ain't having it.
- 59:37Speaker 1: So now you're sitting up in here. My daughter is
- 59:39Speaker 1: an honor roles TOD and extracurriculum activities. She's got a
- 59:42Speaker 1: busy schedule during the week. She's a little lazy despite
- 59:45Speaker 1: the way he speaks her. She's always kind and manerable
- 59:50Speaker 1: tim Her biological father died this year and it affected her,
- 59:53Speaker 1: but she's dealt with it quite well. My husband has
- 59:55Speaker 1: not stepped up into the role as her dad. He
- 59:58Speaker 1: refuses to attend any of her school activities with me. Yo, brother,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: are you kidding me? Your wife has one child? You
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: won't attend none of the school events with her? Why? Now? Look, man,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: if you don't want to be her daddy, you shouldn't
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: have signed up to be the husband because it's a
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: package and now more than ever, the girl could use
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: a dad. But now her image of a man right
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: now is somebody barking at, somebody making her take out
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: to trash, somebody constantly be degrading her. So now her
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: idea of a man's love is you. Are you kidding me? Man?
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: You're wrong on so many levels. She graduates in June.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: She's been accepted at local college that's in our city.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: She plans to stay at home instead of live on
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: campus because it's a lot less expensive. Excuse me, And
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: now she's got the nerd to even in spite it
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the way you treat her, look out and be responsible
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: enough to say, hey, it would cause you all less
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: money if I just stayed here. Your husband found this
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: out and he told me that she could not stay
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: with us anymore. Bro, are you kidding me? You're gonna
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: throw the eighteen year old girl out? Dog? What's wrong
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: with you? Have you lost your ever loved mind? He
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: told me that we're giving her some money for graduation
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: so she can move into her own apartment close to
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: the college. This really made me mad. This is my
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: child and I will not allow her to be mistreated
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: like this. I told him that he needs professional help.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: This is causing problems in our relationship, But my child
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: comes first, he says, I'm being too sensitive. She needs
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: to be on her own to learn more of responsibility.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: What do you think seventeen ain't the time for a
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: girl to go learn responsibility. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. No,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Ain't now one of my kids had to
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: move out of seventeen? Not to them girls. Now, soon
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: as them boys get into their second year of college
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and they get apartments, they asses can't come back. Don't
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: even look over here. You can ask Winton right now.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Damn what they're doing in my room? Excuse me? Excuse me.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: That's not your room. That's your daddy's new clothes. Yeah, no,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: I turned no, no, no. Winch's room is daddy's new closet.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. See see you're you're saying them are Laurie
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: just moved out? Lauren still got a rule at dad,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: don't take my bed, all right, President that she still
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: got a rule. Winch's other room in the la had
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: already been converted. But it ain't your rum. Ain't none
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: of your stuff in him? See sir. First of all,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: at eighteen is not time for her to go out
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: on her own and learn responsibilities You can't throw a
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: young girl out to the wolves like that. Uh. First
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: and secondly, this is the wife's your wife's daughter. It's
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: a package deal. You can't put the package out because
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: you want to be alone. Uh. First of all, women
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: shouldn't have to take out trash unless they have to,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: So your ass takes the trash out. Sorry. Right. Secondly, sir,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: you don't have any parenting skills and you need to
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: develop some. This is not a boy you're talking to.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: It's a young lady and she needs a daddy in
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: her life right now. Her father passed. She needs to
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: see a man show some love and respect and kindness
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to her. So she get an idea of what love
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: looks like. For now you throw her out the house.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Now her idea of a man is somebody who balks
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: at it, talks in like a drill. Sergeant requires that
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: she takes out the trash and puts her out. So
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: now you didn't put the little sheep out there with
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the wolves. What you think gonna happen to this little
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: girl on her own who has no real life skills
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: because you won't show her what real love looking You
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: cannot separate a woman and her child that's not the
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: way it works. You are all wrong in every aspect
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: of this thing. All right, more on the Strawberry letter
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: when we come back at forty one after the hour
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: you're listening show. Here we are with this Strawberry letter,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: the subject my husband has lost his mind. A forty
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: seven year old woman wrote in she's a wife in
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: her third marriage. She's been married for five years to
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: a man who, she says, treats her like a queen,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: but treats her seventeen year old daughter like he hates her.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Here's the deal. He hasn't responded his child, so he
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: doesn't have a bond. He has no bond. But the
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: mistake he made was asking this woman to marry him.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Because a woman who has a child, that's a package.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: You cannot expect to separate him too. A woman is
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: not going to forsake a child. They're not gonna do it,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: not no real mother. No no no no no no no,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: you can can't as a what else? Now, hold on, partner,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I love you, but you can do what did this baby?
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: No no, no, you're talking about the one she carried,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: the one she gave birth to. No, no, you're not
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: gonna do no harm to her now, and don't push up,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: because you're gonna find out that if she got to
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: make the choice, she, like every other animal in a while,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: is gonna protect the baby. That's her job. And I mean,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: what a great kid, Steve. I mean, she just recently
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: lost her own dad. Seems like he would want to
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: step in and just try to be there for her. No,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: he wants her out because this dude is a simple
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: minded ass that ain't got a damn flue on what
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: giving really means. And you have to learn what giving is.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: And we as fathers have to set better examples for
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: our daughters as to what real men look like so
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: they can have a better example of what to pick
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: when they get out there. So many women are damaged
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: today because of the relationship that they father did not
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: have with them. Yeah, and so many women end up
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: looking for love and all the wrong places because they
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: don't know what love really looked like. Fathers are so important,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: right and now here you are at a very impressionable
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: age of this girl's life, giving her an example of
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: a man and what it looks like. And it's not
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: a good view of manhood that you can talk to
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: her this way, treat her this way, bark at her
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: like a drill sergeant, expect her to take out treasure,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: and want to put her out the house because she
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: graduated from high school. Who puts their throat out the
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: house because they graduate from high school? But hell, I
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: didn't get put out my daddy's house when I graduated
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: from high school. And then kind and manerable to him
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: and respectful to him even in spite of all of this,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: means yeah, he's just some wrong and wrong, mean, cruel guy.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: He just is something's wrong. That's why I say he
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: should get some therapy. He really should know. Yeah, but see,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I don't know what game he played to get her.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: He treats her like a queen. She says, Dog, you've
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: been had his lady on her fourth man? Yeah, because
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: dog you But the marriage can be saved, you know,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: because he treats a woman like a queen. But then
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: you got to treat the princess like a princess. Dog,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: It's real simple. How have you treating the wife? You
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: gotta treat your daughter like a version of the wife,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: comments to Steve Harvey FM dot com. You're listening now.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: According to a report published an American psychologist, people who
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: listen to others without actually seeing them are better able
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: to determine that person's emotional state. The tone of a
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: person's voice expresses emotion more than the face, where it's
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: easier to hide such emotions. Less is more when trying
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: to figure out how people feel, because when you are
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: just listening to a person, you are focused on just that.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: But if you're both listening and looking, your attention is divided. So, Steve,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: do you think you're a good listener? Oh? Yeah, absolutely, Yeah,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: you know, for a man, for a man, I'm a
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: good listener. Qualify that free market. Yeah, I mean, you know,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: because we do listen differently. I'll admit that I think
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: women are far superior at it. But for a man,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I'm a good listener. Yeah, and you have to, you
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: have to be in your line of work. But you
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: know the reason women listen because there's a more of
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: a richer and deeper exchange. We listen just to the
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: point where we can provide a solution and then we
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: wants to move on to something else. Women women dig
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: into it a lot deeper, and Richard, we just try
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: to provide a solution. Yeah, we want all the facts,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: what happened? What he said? Then? What does she say? Girl?
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: And what happened? Yeah? We don't need all that. What
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: do you need? What we just? What you trying to
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: get out of it? Listen to call him and tell
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: him no m and do get what. I got it
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: down to a sign. I can actually be on the
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: phone with my wife. I know when to say uh huh,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: what what? Really? And not but not listening to none
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: of but know how to jump in. Let me stop you, Tom,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: because she's listening right now. So we sure you want
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: to huh, but he's not listening. You better fix it?
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Who oh my god? Okay, hey we need to go
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: down now. Hm huh. So so your uncle listens to
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: provide a solution. You don't listen at all. I listened
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: to get through the day. What what? What? So you
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: don't care? You don't care what? Where's Jordan? Who? Okay? No?
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Uh huh? He engaged? He makes her think she's engaging
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: the phone that you got the phone on speaker. You
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: lying and it's just what's sitting down there? And you're
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: just are you acting? Are you acting? Are you in character? Absolutely?
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Hum say that again? Now they didn't lord ha Mercy,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Well what she said? Are you listening to me? What
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: do you say, babe? I'm hearing that thing you're saying.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: You're gonna hear that part. You're gonna hear that. Okay,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Well tell me what I just said. Oh that's what
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I hate when they do. H okay, okay, Well tell
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: me what I just said. Tell me what I just said.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I heard you. Now you're you're trapped at that point.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Get out of that. Tell me what I just said.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I said, you just said, Tell you what you just say?
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: What I just said? Don't get cute with it, you
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: know what I mean? Well, what do you think I
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: should do? But what you know? I mean? I mean
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: probably really honestly, don't honestly, don't call it, y'all. Just
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: pray about it. So should I take all the money
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: out of the bank. No, No, we need to pray
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: about it, right, he said? No? Very interesting, guys. All right,

- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Oh me, I'm going all right, thank you. We will
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: be back with closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this at forty nine. After you're
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: listening here we are last break of the day. Um, Steve,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: you have some closing remarks to leave us with. Yeah,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: this is how do you get the right equipment and
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: tools and things you need to start out on the
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: road to success, because everybody could do it, but you
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: have to make the decision. Well, one of the ways
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: is is I mean, at one point in time, just
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: on a spiritual note, we gotta make some attempt to
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: be better. I mean, come on, man, you can't keep
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: doing wrong intentionally. You can't just knowingly be on the
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: wrong side of the law. You can't intentionally just be
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: out here just messing over folks and expect and expect
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: goodness to come your way. I mean, none of us
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: can do that. What I'm wrong, I'm making mistakes. I
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: can't expect, you know, things to go my way. You know,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: if you're out here and you're just messing over folks,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: you can't expect not to get messed over. You can't
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: live a life for crime and then be asking for
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: the blessings of God. God can't bless your mess, man.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: He can't put his finger on that. Lord. As I
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: go out here, go with me heaven, as I robbed
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: this bank? Whoa old partner? Partner, partner, Slow down, slowdown.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Let's think about this for a second. All of us
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: has a good and a bad side. Most of us
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: know the difference unless you're ill. Most of us know
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: the difference between right and wrong. Most of us have
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: some type of conscious. Most of us do. Not to
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: ignore your conscious doesn't mean that you don't have one.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Most of us are. If we make mistakes. You knows
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: there's no remorse, no nothing. You just don't. You don't care.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: You're just going about your life doing what you want
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: to do. It don't work. And you know why it
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: don't work, man, because God can't putting nothing into that.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Somebody sent this to me, and I'm gonna share it
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: with you because it's what we're talking about right now.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Nobody puts money in the vending machine when it's out
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: of order. Don't nobody do that. You're sitting up. It's
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: got a sign on it and it says it's out
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: of order. Nobody puts money in the vending machine when
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: it's out of order, So why would God put something
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: in you when you out of order? Nobody puts money
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: in the vending machine when it's out of order, So
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: why would God put something in you when you out
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: of order? Now? I'm not saying that God won't put
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: something into you if you make mistakes. I'm not saying
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: God won't put nothing into you if you ask for forgiveness,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: because he will, because He's done it for me and
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: millions of other people like me over and over and
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: over again. God for gils. God. God is in the
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: help you get it together business or wait in man,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Hold up now. Nobody puts money in the vending machine
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: when it's out of order. So why would God put
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: something into you when you out order? When he knows
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: you ain't even trying it? See, God ain't crazy, He
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: knows all. He knows your heart. That are good people
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: who make mistakes all the time. I'm one of them.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I think I think I'm a good person, but I
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: make mistakes. Man, you can be a good person and
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: make mistakes. God know your heart. But if you out
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: here intentionally walking around, stepping on people, messing over people,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: using people, manipulating people. But you want something from God
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: all the time. Come on, man, you don't forgive nobody,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: but you steady asking God to forgive you. So you
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: just go you don't. So he gave us the Lord's prayer.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: So he gave us the Lord's prayer. But we all
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: ignore that, and it's two versions of it. Forgive us
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: our trustpasses as we forgive those who trustpass against us,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: or forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I've heard both versions. I like trustpas assid because it
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: means to go over the line. So forgive us out
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: you're talking to God. Now this is the Lord's prayer.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Forgive us our trust passes as we forgive those who
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: trust pass against us. So now you don't forgive nobody,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: can't nobody to do you wrong and ever say nothing
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: to you again. I'll show you. You're gonna fix everybody
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: to do something to you. Ain't no forgiveness, but then
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: you do something. Now you're up in God's face telling
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: about forgive me, Lord, I didn't mean. But let me
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: explain to you how he gonna do it for you. Now.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: He gonna forgive you as you forgive those that need
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: forgiveness from you. So give us our trust passes as
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: we forgive, forgive us, our trust passes as we forgive,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: those who trust pass against us. That's clean, that's fair,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: that's fair. See God is fair man, He's very fair.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Ain't no loopholes in him. He's fair. If you do this,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: I can do this now. If you ask for forgiveness,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: he forgives you. Now, when he forgives you, the cool
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: thing is, he wipes the slate clean. He don't bring
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: it up no more. I get. Many times I've used that.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I can't even count the times I've used that. So
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: now I'm just asking you, why would you not try
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: to do better so God can do it for you.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: God is going to bless you. He will if he
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: knows your heart is in the right place. Because good
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: people make bad decisions all the time. Good people make
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: mistakes all the time, all the time. But if you
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: know your heart, he'll bless you. Get just try to
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: do better, man, All right, let's go that's my clothes remarks.
