- 0:00Speaker 1: There is so much happening right now in Ukraine and
- 0:03Speaker 1: it has been incredibly sad to witness what is happening.
- 0:07Speaker 1: And I just got a briefing from a individual in
- 0:11Speaker 1: the Ukraine and I put this up on social media.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Some of you may have seen this. There are pictures
- 0:19Speaker 1: of combat like tanks, of Russian shot soldiers running over
- 0:27Speaker 1: innocent civilians in their cars for sport. This is what
- 0:35Speaker 1: is happening in Ukraine. We are witnessing children who are
- 0:40Speaker 1: now dying because they are being taken away from the
- 0:45Speaker 1: NIKU units in the hospitals. There have been children in
- 0:50Speaker 1: schools that have been targeted by Russia. There was Snake
- 0:54Speaker 1: Island where thirteen brave Ukrainian soldiers told Russia to go
- 0:58Speaker 1: blank themselves before they were all killed by a Russian ship.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We are seeing Russian planes and discriminately bombing areas of
- 1:07Speaker 1: Ukraine and Kiev that are not strategic for the country,
- 1:10Speaker 1: just to kill innocent people. We are witnessing the decimation
- 1:16Speaker 1: of Ukraine and it is very clear that Vladimir Putin
- 1:20Speaker 1: is working on a very different timeline. It's usually traditionally
- 1:27Speaker 1: that Russia strategically will surround a place and choke them
- 1:30Speaker 1: off from supplies and goods so they surrender, so that
- 1:33Speaker 1: there's not as many people that are killed, including their
- 1:36Speaker 1: own soldiers. Vladimir Putin is right now acting on an
- 1:40Speaker 1: extremely different timeline. It's an unbelievably different timeline. Hillary Clinton
- 1:49Speaker 1: today said any Republican with a common sense should help
- 1:54Speaker 1: defend Ukraine against Putin. We are wanting to defend Ukraine.
- 1:59Speaker 1: You were the ones that have refused to give them
- 2:01Speaker 1: the weaponry needed. You're the ones that refused, when you're
- 2:04Speaker 1: the Secretary of State, to give them the weapons they
- 2:07Speaker 1: need to fight back. We had today the former president
- 2:11Speaker 1: of Ukraine on the streets holding up a weapon, choking
- 2:15Speaker 1: back tears, knowing there's a very good chance he is
- 2:17Speaker 1: going to die for his country because he has three
- 2:20Speaker 1: hundred citizens. They have declared martial law. They're taking fourteen
- 2:23Speaker 1: fifteen year olds up to six year olds and giving
- 2:25Speaker 1: them weapons. You want to know I tweeted this out
- 2:29Speaker 1: earlier because I think it's such an important point. Occupied Democrats,
- 2:32Speaker 1: hardcore democratic group. Occupied Democrats tweeted out in June of
- 2:37Speaker 1: twenty sixteen this tweet. I want you to think about
- 2:40Speaker 1: what I'm about to read you and this is the
- 2:42Speaker 1: mindset of the Democratic Party. Hillary Clinton, who's on TV today,
- 2:46Speaker 1: Joe Biden, who's not on TV today, and others. Occupied
- 2:50Speaker 1: Democrats in two sixteen said quote, no civilian needs in
- 2:55Speaker 1: AAR fifteen. Regardless of whatever mental gymnastics you do, you
- 3:00Speaker 1: are a very special breed of stupid Occupied Democrats now
- 3:05Speaker 1: acting like they're wanting to stand up for the people
- 3:06Speaker 1: in Ukraine, tweeted out This morning, Ukraine's Interior minister announced
- 3:10Speaker 1: that ten thousand automatic rifles have been handed out to
- 3:13Speaker 1: the civilians of Kiev as they prepared to fight tooth
- 3:16Speaker 1: and nail to defend their homes against Putin's invasion. Occupied
- 3:21Speaker 1: Democrats and goes on his right retweet if you stand
- 3:24Speaker 1: with the brave Ukrainian people. The same Democrats that said
- 3:28Speaker 1: there's no way your delusional, your mental gymnastics that you pull,
- 3:32Speaker 1: no one needs an a R fifteen is now advocating, supporting,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and being excited about ten thousand automatic weapons being handed
- 3:39Speaker 1: out to people to fight Russia. There are a lot
- 3:43Speaker 1: of people that are going to die, and there are
- 3:47Speaker 1: people while we're doing this right now that are dying
- 3:50Speaker 1: and suffering. Senator Tom Cotton came out today saying Biden
- 3:54Speaker 1: needs to stop pussy footing around. His sanctions have been
- 3:57Speaker 1: wholly inadequate. Ukraine doesn't have a month to wait to
- 4:02Speaker 1: see if sanctions will deter Putin. It's very clear and
- 4:06Speaker 1: these sanctions are not going to work, and there is
- 4:12Speaker 1: a there is a psychotic nature to the change in
- 4:16Speaker 1: the actions of Vladimir Putin and the fact that he's
- 4:19Speaker 1: allowing his military for sport now to run over innocent
- 4:23Speaker 1: civilians and their tanks and their armored vehicles caught on camera.
- 4:27Speaker 1: You can watch this. It's up on my social media platforms.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Grab it. This is what happens when strong countries are weak.
- 4:37Speaker 1: This is what happens when strong countries do not stand up.
- 4:41Speaker 1: This is what happened when America loses the brave men
- 4:46Speaker 1: that should be fighting and making sure that people can
- 4:51Speaker 1: fight and stand up to people like Vladimir Putin. Joe
- 4:55Speaker 1: Biden said in two nineteen something that I to play
- 5:00Speaker 1: for you now because I think it's a very important
- 5:02Speaker 1: for you to understand. This is Joe Biden twenty nineteen. Folks,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you hear the news once again, Putin and the Russians
- 5:10Speaker 1: are trying to engage in our election to decide who
- 5:12Speaker 1: the president is going to be. And this time I'm
- 5:15Speaker 1: the object of their attention because Putin knows if I
- 5:19Speaker 1: am president the United States, his days of tyranny and
- 5:22Speaker 1: trying to intimidate the United States and those in Eastern
- 5:25Speaker 1: Europe are over. I'm going to stand up to him.
- 5:28Speaker 1: He's a bully, just like the president, and I know
- 5:32Speaker 1: he doesn't want me to be president. But to tell
- 5:33Speaker 1: you what, when I'm president, things are going to change,
- 5:37Speaker 1: mister Putin. The American people decide their elections, not you
- 5:41Speaker 1: chip in a dollar, five dollars, ten dollars raising money
- 5:47Speaker 1: off of staying saying he was going to stand up
- 5:49Speaker 1: to Putin. I'm not gonna the days of tyranny and
- 5:52Speaker 1: trying to intimidate are over. If I'm president, Vladimir Putin
- 5:55Speaker 1: will pay. How's that working out for you? We are
- 5:58Speaker 1: going to have a very long coversation today with a
- 6:02Speaker 1: lot of people that are incredibly brilliant minds on Ukraine.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And we have been grabbing these conversations all throughout the
- 6:11Speaker 1: morning afternoon with the news it's breaking, and I'm going
- 6:14Speaker 1: to put them together for you. Now. Many of my
- 6:17Speaker 1: guests are people that have fought for this country, to
- 6:20Speaker 1: defend this country. They've worked in the Reagan administration, the
- 6:22Speaker 1: Bush administration, members of Congress, and we are going to
- 6:26Speaker 1: give all that to you right now. I bring on
- 6:28Speaker 1: my friends at c PACK and one of my good
- 6:31Speaker 1: buddies that does what I do for a living, See
- 6:33Speaker 1: Gruber is here, Steve. Thank you for coming on. I
- 6:35Speaker 1: appreciate it. As always, I'm gonna get into this. I'm
- 6:37Speaker 1: gonna let you hear the acts. Ukrainian President Porshenko he
- 6:41Speaker 1: has just said that Putin is a mad, crazy man
- 6:43Speaker 1: coming to kill us all. And he also got choked
- 6:48Speaker 1: up while he was on TV in the streets with
- 6:51Speaker 1: three hundred volunteers wanting to take up arms, knowing that
- 6:54Speaker 1: the Russians are killing their friends right now and as
- 6:57Speaker 1: are destroying Kiev, a history city. Listen to what he
- 7:01Speaker 1: had to say just a moment ago and hearing the
- 7:04Speaker 1: former president breaking down in the streets. Mister president, can
- 7:08Speaker 1: you tell me what you in the group you're with
- 7:10Speaker 1: right now there are armed with and what your intention
- 7:15Speaker 1: is if the Russians wrong? Just my assistance here here.
- 7:21Speaker 1: This is the short kalashnikov we have just the let
- 7:26Speaker 1: me see maybe four and low on the three hundred
- 7:32Speaker 1: members of the Battalion of the Territorial Defense. And we
- 7:37Speaker 1: have two machine gun and we have modelized that's it.
- 7:44Speaker 1: We don't have any have a tilleries, we don't have
- 7:46Speaker 1: a tanks, we don't have an armed personal career. Because
- 7:49Speaker 1: we launched this process just a couple of days ago.
- 7:53Speaker 1: But and we create that for the two days. This
- 7:55Speaker 1: is the long line of the people who want to
- 7:57Speaker 1: enlist it in the battalion, but we don't have any
- 8:00Speaker 1: palms for that. Then this is the only limit why
- 8:03Speaker 1: the signal depends. The normal ordinary people sometimes snap it
- 8:08Speaker 1: being in the army staying in line now to join us.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You can hear there Steve of him literally breaking down.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I mean it's the first president of Ukraine breaking down
- 8:18Speaker 1: talking about and and it's people. I was talking during
- 8:23Speaker 1: the break with one of our our our good friends, Kurt,
- 8:26Speaker 1: and I said, you know, when you go to there's
- 8:28Speaker 1: a certain situation in life where you may think you're
- 8:30Speaker 1: gonna die, right, absolutely, there's other situations in life where
- 8:33Speaker 1: you choose to die. You look at those men on
- 8:37Speaker 1: on Snake Island that died when the Russians told them yesterday,
- 8:41Speaker 1: put down your guns and surrender, and they sat back
- 8:43Speaker 1: on the radio. Basically, not basically, they said fu right
- 8:47Speaker 1: to Russia and they killed him. Right. Um. You listen
- 8:51Speaker 1: to Prushenko and the way that he is speaking, I
- 8:55Speaker 1: think it's pretty clear he's choosing to die in the
- 9:01Speaker 1: streets for his country, for his country, for his country though,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and you can tell in his voice he knows that
- 9:06Speaker 1: they're outmatched. I've never heard something like this in my life.
- 9:10Speaker 1: That's why it's so shocking to me. Well, here's the thing.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Ukraine has witnessed this before Kiev nineteen forty one, the
- 9:18Speaker 1: Nazis came in. But for for Ukraine, they consider themselves
- 9:23Speaker 1: to be brothers of the Russians. They're not enemies of
- 9:25Speaker 1: the Russians. That's why they're just they're just dumb struck
- 9:28Speaker 1: by this because here comes put in, rolling in saying well,
- 9:31Speaker 1: this is ours and we're gonna kill you kill him
- 9:33Speaker 1: in the street, sneak island, like you mentioned. And it's
- 9:35Speaker 1: insane to these folks because they consider themselves brothers. But
- 9:38Speaker 1: this is not going away, this is not everything. Because
- 9:42Speaker 1: I let's go back to the World War two, scenario.
- 9:44Speaker 1: You know, the resistance in the Warsaw ghetto, for example,
- 9:48Speaker 1: a bunch of determined people's small arms can raise hell
- 9:50Speaker 1: with the big army. The Nazis never won Warsaw. They
- 9:53Speaker 1: get snapped at, sniped at, snippdats, and the Ukrainians are
- 9:59Speaker 1: very capable this. There's swamps, there are forests that people
- 10:03Speaker 1: don't realize in Ukraine. This is an area that you
- 10:06Speaker 1: make take over Ukraine, but it doesn't mean you're going
- 10:08Speaker 1: to control it. And there's gonna be you know, Russian
- 10:11Speaker 1: law and order, and and you listen to that. You
- 10:14Speaker 1: know Pashenko, I think he understands there's two battles are
- 10:17Speaker 1: gonna happen here. There's gonna be an instant, an initial battle.
- 10:19Speaker 1: There's gonna be a victory speech by Vladimir Putin that
- 10:22Speaker 1: we've taken it over. Right. It doesn't mean the people
- 10:25Speaker 1: they are going to stop fighting the Russian hips, right,
- 10:27Speaker 1: that's my point. I mean the Nazis raised the flag
- 10:30Speaker 1: over Paris and Warsaw, on a variety of other places.
- 10:33Speaker 1: That didn't mean those people gave up. They became a
- 10:36Speaker 1: resistance that became the underground. They became people that hid
- 10:39Speaker 1: people in closets or whatever it takes. Um. I think
- 10:42Speaker 1: that the entire world, though, is on edge. Yet here's
- 10:45Speaker 1: the one thing that I have been I just have
- 10:47Speaker 1: been rolling this round of my head. How is it
- 10:49Speaker 1: the today? There are sixteen Russian warships on the black seat.
- 10:54Speaker 1: You've got Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, all NATO allies border the
- 11:00Speaker 1: black seats, Sodas, Ukraine, sodas Russia. Russia owns the black
- 11:04Speaker 1: seat today because the last Natal worship a friendship left
- 11:07Speaker 1: a month ago. Well, what if Russia wants to go
- 11:09Speaker 1: into Bulgaria today? Those those ships carry tanks, armored military personnel, carriers, soldiers, munitions, munitions,
- 11:19Speaker 1: all of it. And because who's to believe now that
- 11:23Speaker 1: Putin doesn't want the whole damn thing. I said this earlier,
- 11:29Speaker 1: and this is a point of contention. I see similarities
- 11:35Speaker 1: in the underestimating an appeasement of Putin now, Like all right,
- 11:41Speaker 1: we basically have said as a country, we've we've killed
- 11:44Speaker 1: off the president of Ukraine this morning, in my opinion,
- 11:49Speaker 1: because the White House has said we will continue to
- 11:51Speaker 1: deal with him as long as you're the legitimate leader.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You kill him basically said we as soon as you
- 11:57Speaker 1: take over, we'll stop dealing with him. So this the
- 12:01Speaker 1: man who's in charge, who is our ally in Ukraine. Absolutely,
- 12:05Speaker 1: And I go back to when he when he said
- 12:07Speaker 1: that the phone call he had with Donald Trump was legitimate,
- 12:11Speaker 1: and Joe Biden hates him. I really do believe that
- 12:14Speaker 1: a lot of our hand taking her hand off of
- 12:16Speaker 1: Ukraine was personal because they were they were pissed, they
- 12:21Speaker 1: were an about a different scenario. How about this, You
- 12:25Speaker 1: look at everything leads back to Ukraine. Yes, whether it's
- 12:29Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, all roads lead
- 12:32Speaker 1: back to Ukraine, whether it's the dossier or the Biden's
- 12:35Speaker 1: making money. It's been all the country you talked about
- 12:37Speaker 1: obsessively for the last four years. How do you get
- 12:39Speaker 1: rid of all the files? How do you how do
- 12:41Speaker 1: you sweep the plate clean? Let the Russians come in
- 12:45Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, the whole plate is clean.
- 12:47Speaker 1: There's no records, there's no evidence, there's no anything. Hillary
- 12:50Speaker 1: Clinton slides, Hunter Biden slides, enlie. You don't have to
- 12:54Speaker 1: worry about LNSKY. You're not to worry about any of
- 12:56Speaker 1: them telling secret. If you take the slate and run
- 12:59Speaker 1: a missile through and just blow the slate up. Where's
- 13:02Speaker 1: the evidence? You just clean up the whole damn thing
- 13:05Speaker 1: by just saying, you know what, We'd love to help you,
- 13:07Speaker 1: but we're really busy right now. We got the second
- 13:10Speaker 1: piece of audio that just came into Porshenko. Here's more
- 13:12Speaker 1: of what he had to say. This is extremely touchable
- 13:17Speaker 1: and extremely great demonstration how Ukrainian people hate Putti and
- 13:23Speaker 1: how we are against the Russian aggression. This is very clear.
- 13:26Speaker 1: How long do you think you can hold out? I
- 13:31Speaker 1: think that the Putting never will catch Ukraine, despite no
- 13:38Speaker 1: matter how many soulis he because how many missiles he has,
- 13:41Speaker 1: how many new player weapons he has. We Ukraine enough
- 13:45Speaker 1: free people with a great European future. This is definitely
- 13:50Speaker 1: like that the former president Forever you heard him saying
- 13:54Speaker 1: how long can you hold out? Forever goes back to
- 13:57Speaker 1: what you said. He's saying, Look, you may be able
- 13:59Speaker 1: to bomb the hell out of this. You may be
- 14:02Speaker 1: able to do that right. You may be able to
- 14:05Speaker 1: bring in a massive amount of troops two hundred thousand,
- 14:07Speaker 1: three hundred thousand troops. You may be able to control
- 14:09Speaker 1: our streets. You may be able to act like you're
- 14:11Speaker 1: controlling or even control our countries and lock us out
- 14:15Speaker 1: from things. But as he's made it clear that guerrilla
- 14:18Speaker 1: warfare may well, he's saying, we'll never end. That's my point.
- 14:22Speaker 1: They're gonna fight because it's their country. And you knew
- 14:27Speaker 1: when Puddin came out and started trash talking frankly Nikita
- 14:32Speaker 1: Krushchev saying Krushchev gave Ukraine the freedom and never said
- 14:35Speaker 1: that wasn't his place, that this is. This is Bullshevik
- 14:38Speaker 1: communist Russia. And so Puddin believes that he is entitled
- 14:43Speaker 1: to Ukraine, and that brings us back to the question
- 14:45Speaker 1: of what else is he entitled to in the meantime?
- 14:48Speaker 1: Is Ukraine gonna roll over? No? The people are not, apparently.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Did you see that there was this great piece of
- 14:53Speaker 1: footage of this woman, elderly woman, walking up to a
- 14:56Speaker 1: Russian soldier and saying, f you right, well, why are
- 14:59Speaker 1: you in my country? F you? And there's all these
- 15:01Speaker 1: arms there, just an old lady, Why are you in
- 15:03Speaker 1: my country? Why are you here? They fought hard last time,
- 15:07Speaker 1: Why do you think they wouldn't fight this time? I
- 15:08Speaker 1: do think the part that's the most shocking about that
- 15:10Speaker 1: interview with Porschenko is the fact that we as a world,
- 15:14Speaker 1: knowing that they were standing up to Russia and knowing
- 15:17Speaker 1: what happened after or nothing, we did not give them
- 15:21Speaker 1: the military might they needed to stand up to Russia.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And anybody that understands what Russia has compared to what
- 15:26Speaker 1: Ukraine had, especially after what Biden witnessed with Crimea in
- 15:31Speaker 1: twenty fourteen, Shiit said, all right, look, we got a
- 15:33Speaker 1: start sending in a bunch of crap to these guys
- 15:35Speaker 1: right right now, right right, because that's nice of them. Yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 1: you can hold on your helmet while you're in Snake Island.
- 15:42Speaker 1: You know they got they got helbly thirteen helmets over
- 15:45Speaker 1: thirteen helmets that worked out well. So let me ask
- 15:47Speaker 1: you this. Can I just just to turn the table
- 15:49Speaker 1: a little bit because I talked to Dordon Chang. I
- 15:51Speaker 1: talked to him fairly regularly, guessing you probably do as well.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Along the way, I said, what if, the what if?
- 15:57Speaker 1: The whole tell people who that is for you? The
- 15:58Speaker 1: Dordon Chang is a leading expert on China. He has
- 16:01Speaker 1: a conservative voice. He basically pulls back the curtain on
- 16:05Speaker 1: the Chinese Communist Party on a regular basis and so
- 16:08Speaker 1: this is what's really happened, all right. So he he's
- 16:10Speaker 1: terrific and I actually talked to him here at Sepack yesterday.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I said, well, Jo, what about this. What if the pandemic,
- 16:17Speaker 1: which is pretty clear, didn't just come out of a
- 16:19Speaker 1: batcave nine hundred miles from Buhan and fly around the country.
- 16:22Speaker 1: So let's just say, for the sake of argument, that's
- 16:24Speaker 1: an intentional act. And that's punched number one, punched number two.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Because China and Russia are now working the other, not friends,
- 16:31Speaker 1: not allies really, but working. We talked about this early,
- 16:33Speaker 1: we talk about this yesterday. Russia and China, for people
- 16:37Speaker 1: that don't follow international politics, they are not in any
- 16:41Speaker 1: capacity throughout history natural ally ever ever, you can never
- 16:47Speaker 1: find that NATI. But our foreign policy has pushed them
- 16:53Speaker 1: into becoming allies, which should have never happened. In the
- 16:56Speaker 1: bidenmistrans it should realize, whatever we do with our policies
- 17:00Speaker 1: those two together, make sure you don't align these two
- 17:02Speaker 1: by default with one another, because they're not natural allies,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and if they team up, we're in deep blank. And
- 17:07Speaker 1: that's exactly what the Biden administration, right. So so you
- 17:12Speaker 1: go back, if you take the premise that the the
- 17:15Speaker 1: pandemic was intentional. Punch number two is Russia knew they're
- 17:19Speaker 1: gonna take Ukraine. And then punch number three is, you know,
- 17:23Speaker 1: do they do something with Taiwan. Maybe they do, maybe
- 17:24Speaker 1: they don't. I mean, Taiwan fair fair enough is nothing
- 17:27Speaker 1: more than a cat and mouse game. You know, China
- 17:30Speaker 1: doesn't worry too much about Taiwan, and they produce a
- 17:32Speaker 1: lot of semiconductors and computer chips and things that the
- 17:35Speaker 1: Chinese need as well, so they might just toy would
- 17:37Speaker 1: But you have this alignment now. But to me, another
- 17:41Speaker 1: one of the big stories here that people don't set
- 17:43Speaker 1: to be spending much time on is it's a failure
- 17:45Speaker 1: of foreign policy, but it's a failure of energy policy.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Four percent of the oil that comes into America that
- 17:50Speaker 1: we pay for it comes from Russia. For God's sake,
- 17:52Speaker 1: we made him rich, right, And and you've got Jennifer Granholm,
- 17:56Speaker 1: the failed governor of Michigan, who's you know now, made
- 17:59Speaker 1: it so you can't even look for oil and gas
- 18:00Speaker 1: on federal lands as of what last week, And so
- 18:03Speaker 1: we have a failed policy and energy. You've got China
- 18:07Speaker 1: buying one hundred million metric tons of coal from Russia.
- 18:10Speaker 1: You've got Russia also sending natural gas and oil to China.
- 18:13Speaker 1: So do they need the gas to go to Germany?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Not if I can sending all their money. And because
- 18:18Speaker 1: Putin already converted all of his money out of dollars anyway,
- 18:21Speaker 1: he's already out of dollars. So now he's dealing with
- 18:23Speaker 1: China and they can pay the bill. Germany can well,
- 18:26Speaker 1: Germany can pay seven times, eight to ten times as
- 18:29Speaker 1: much for energy. They don't care. It doesn't affect Russia.
- 18:32Speaker 1: He's got seven hundred billion dollars in Resilia, and he
- 18:34Speaker 1: understands with the prices going up right now, he has
- 18:38Speaker 1: more money now than he's ever had before. Like he
- 18:41Speaker 1: understands that without question. I mean, and this is the
- 18:45Speaker 1: reason why I think Putin has gone all in now.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I do want to ask you this. I've been I've
- 18:48Speaker 1: been floating this. Steve Gerber is my guests for me
- 18:52Speaker 1: right now. You can listen to his show podcasts. He
- 18:54Speaker 1: does great writing as well. I feel like Vladimir Putin
- 18:59Speaker 1: at this point is acting on a different timeline, destroying
- 19:03Speaker 1: a historic city of Kiev the way he's doing it instead,
- 19:05Speaker 1: of choking it off, which is traditional warfare for Russia. Right,
- 19:09Speaker 1: You choke them off and then you basically starve him
- 19:12Speaker 1: almost to death, right, and then you go in there
- 19:13Speaker 1: because there's less fighting and less casualties and fewer bodybags.
- 19:16Speaker 1: The way that he is approaching Kiev and Ukraine right
- 19:19Speaker 1: now and wanting to just basically just decimate it and
- 19:22Speaker 1: own it is not traditional Russian thinking. I'm worried now
- 19:27Speaker 1: that we're dealing with somebody that there's a significant X
- 19:31Speaker 1: factor involved that we don't know about yet, because he's
- 19:34Speaker 1: clearly acting on a very different timeline, like a manifest
- 19:36Speaker 1: destiny to take back and put back together SSR as
- 19:39Speaker 1: his legacy. What that means he's sick, What that means
- 19:41Speaker 1: he has some sort of medication so we don't know about.
- 19:43Speaker 1: But this toss of mine is not a normal Russian
- 19:46Speaker 1: timeline that we're witnessing, and not a normal way they
- 19:48Speaker 1: do war. Usually they choke off, they choke off, and
- 19:53Speaker 1: this is sent the opposite of what Russian and we
- 19:58Speaker 1: have hundreds of years of history that's right, and it's
- 20:01Speaker 1: very accelerated, which brings me back to you've got a
- 20:04Speaker 1: fleet of Russian warships on the Black Sea. You've got Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia.
- 20:09Speaker 1: He'd like to have those back. Those are just small
- 20:11Speaker 1: little pieces of real estate. Romania's right there, Bulgaria's right there,
- 20:14Speaker 1: Moldova's right there. Hey, he can take it all. And
- 20:16Speaker 1: who And here's the thing, just however, you look at this,
- 20:23Speaker 1: who's going to go ahead and say, you know what,
- 20:25Speaker 1: I want to go fight for Estonia. I want American
- 20:28Speaker 1: boys and girls to go die in Estonia. Who's gonna
- 20:29Speaker 1: do that today? In this political climate? I think this
- 20:32Speaker 1: all goes back to our Afghanistan with drawn. He realized
- 20:34Speaker 1: that we weren't interested. We weren't even willing to fight
- 20:37Speaker 1: for our own that were sixty feet away from us.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Say they were sixty feet away, you're having a conversation
- 20:45Speaker 1: with him. We weren't willing to fight for the people
- 20:48Speaker 1: that fought for us for twenty years as translators and
- 20:50Speaker 1: their families. We were willing to not just leave them behind,
- 20:53Speaker 1: but know that their destiny was going to be death
- 20:56Speaker 1: and torture and hangings, and for their entire family and
- 20:59Speaker 1: their entire family. And we left. But it wasn't just
- 21:02Speaker 1: the way we left. It was the fact that when
- 21:03Speaker 1: we were leaving, we were taking orders from the Taliban,
- 21:06Speaker 1: and that was a moment where clearly Putin said, I
- 21:10Speaker 1: am gonna put back the USSR. I think that's what
- 21:13Speaker 1: he thought. I'm gonna put back these these the great
- 21:16Speaker 1: fifteen that they're one of fifteen of and that is
- 21:21Speaker 1: my destiny. And they're not going to stop me, because
- 21:24Speaker 1: if they're not even willing to fight for their own
- 21:25Speaker 1: guys sixty feet away, they're not going to fight in Estonia.
- 21:29Speaker 1: That's right. So here's the next question though, because the
- 21:32Speaker 1: wild card to me on the table one of them,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I mean, it's several wild cup because when you're playing
- 21:36Speaker 1: this this kind of intense back and forth, one mistake,
- 21:41Speaker 1: and the country most likely to make that mistake today,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I believe is Turkey. Yeah, Erbillan's I mean, he's an
- 21:47Speaker 1: eagle maniac too, right. So let's let's ninety nine point
- 21:52Speaker 1: nine percent of people listening right now not been paying
- 21:55Speaker 1: attention to Turkeys. So explain why you say that so
- 21:58Speaker 1: they understand the contact. Well, Turkey has been migrating away,
- 22:03Speaker 1: running away from Western values, if you will, for the
- 22:06Speaker 1: last ten years. In any house since Rtwuan became president
- 22:09Speaker 1: of Turkey. Turkey sits on the south side of the
- 22:13Speaker 1: Black Sea, right up against Russia, so they're right there.
- 22:17Speaker 1: They're a member of NATO, which means they're an Article
- 22:19Speaker 1: five country. Urtawan is an eaglemaniac who has scaled back
- 22:23Speaker 1: all sorts of rights of his citizens and taken power
- 22:26Speaker 1: for himself. Not unlike what you've seen, you know, in
- 22:28Speaker 1: a variety of other places that are run by dictators.
- 22:31Speaker 1: He's borderline dictator. I think that's fair to say. And
- 22:33Speaker 1: he's right there, and he's trigger happy, and he does
- 22:36Speaker 1: have good equipment. He's got American equipment and British equipment
- 22:40Speaker 1: and equipment made you know, all over the world that
- 22:42Speaker 1: is the best when it comes to fighter jets and
- 22:44Speaker 1: military equipment. He can fight. Can he stand up to Russia?
- 22:48Speaker 1: I don't know about that, but he will if the
- 22:50Speaker 1: chips get down. And so there's the thing you can
- 22:52Speaker 1: end up in an Article five situation, which is an
- 22:54Speaker 1: assault against one is assault against all. We all understand that.
- 22:57Speaker 1: But I think you're you're onto something, man. I agree
- 22:59Speaker 1: with you, as far as you know. They stood there
- 23:01Speaker 1: and watched how pathetic our exit from Afghanistan was, and
- 23:06Speaker 1: let's just be clear about where we are. Joe Biden
- 23:10Speaker 1: was never a smart individual. Never in fact you and
- 23:14Speaker 1: I want to put this in a story of context
- 23:16Speaker 1: that I don't want to get a phone call from
- 23:18Speaker 1: the Secret Service. Okay, I'm going to be very careful
- 23:21Speaker 1: how I describe this. When you had a hit list
- 23:25Speaker 1: from Osama bin Laden, and this was back when he
- 23:29Speaker 1: was dealing with Biden as the vice president and the
- 23:34Speaker 1: president was Obama, he said to the entire Al Qaida network,
- 23:40Speaker 1: do not kill, don't touch this one Joe Biden, because
- 23:45Speaker 1: Joe Biden very well may give us because of his
- 23:51Speaker 1: incompetency opportunities. They also said on this again, I'm quoting
- 23:56Speaker 1: very carefully unstood at the time. This is from what
- 24:00Speaker 1: we found in his compound after we took out Osama
- 24:04Speaker 1: bin Laden, his own writings, and we found these notes
- 24:06Speaker 1: that he had given to people that where he also said,
- 24:10Speaker 1: I'm okay with you taking out Obama because it would
- 24:14Speaker 1: give us Biden, and Biden will screw it up. Biden
- 24:19Speaker 1: is incompetent, Biden is a gift to us. And if
- 24:24Speaker 1: you think about even Barack Obama, never under estimate Joe
- 24:30Speaker 1: Biden's ability to blank it up. Both of those leaders agreed.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Osama bin Laden understood the incompetency of Joe Biden. He's
- 24:37Speaker 1: a useful idiot. He's a useful idiot, and so did
- 24:40Speaker 1: his own then the President United States America that that
- 24:43Speaker 1: quote never underestimate the ability of Joe Biden blanket up right.
- 24:48Speaker 1: That was said by his boss, Barack Obama. That's right,
- 24:52Speaker 1: And they said, don't touch that one. He can help us.
- 24:54Speaker 1: There's there's no So what I go back to he
- 24:57Speaker 1: was never bright. I mean, you go back to him
- 24:59Speaker 1: plagiarizing as a student in Syracu's not the time that
- 25:02Speaker 1: he went over to help out gold in my ear,
- 25:04Speaker 1: you know, when he's obviously helping out with the Six
- 25:06Speaker 1: Day War as a college kid. You know when she
- 25:07Speaker 1: calling over, which sure, where did these stories come from?
- 25:10Speaker 1: I mean, out of the brains of Joe Biden. I
- 25:12Speaker 1: was called as a college kid to come and negotiate
- 25:14Speaker 1: the sixth Day War. Sure, sure, sure you are. Yeah,
- 25:16Speaker 1: at any rate. The point being is, now you've got
- 25:18Speaker 1: a guy who was never bright, never talented, never did
- 25:21Speaker 1: anything important in his life, who was completely diminished now
- 25:24Speaker 1: in his capacity, now the weakest leader I think this
- 25:27Speaker 1: guy makes Jimmy Carter look like a superstar. James Buchanan
- 25:29Speaker 1: looked like a superstar. When you look at weak presidents
- 25:32Speaker 1: in American history, Joe Biden is by far the weakest
- 25:34Speaker 1: at maybe the most critical time. Jimmy Carter was weak,
- 25:36Speaker 1: but he wasn't incapacity. No, he tried to go get
- 25:39Speaker 1: the hostage. It didn't work, but at least he tried to,
- 25:41Speaker 1: you know, fight back. He wasn't incompetent completely. Joe Biden
- 25:46Speaker 1: is completely incompetent. And you go back, my god, you
- 25:49Speaker 1: look at other presidents like John Kennedy. John Kennedy view
- 25:51Speaker 1: were here today. He'd look at his party and go,
- 25:53Speaker 1: who are these people? He said, who the hell? John
- 25:56Speaker 1: Kennedy fought for his country. His brother Joe died in
- 25:58Speaker 1: the war. I mean, Joe was supposed to be president,
- 26:00Speaker 1: that was the game plan, and then he died and
- 26:02Speaker 1: John was pushed ahead. You know all this, of course,
- 26:04Speaker 1: but the fact of the matter is Joe Biden was
- 26:07Speaker 1: a useful sidecar that would vote for people, yeah, and
- 26:11Speaker 1: vote for their policies and and give him handouts to
- 26:14Speaker 1: be president in the United States. That's why he had
- 26:15Speaker 1: one percent that's the other time you ever ran for.
- 26:18Speaker 1: It's unbelievable, but more scary than that. Kamala Harris has
- 26:22Speaker 1: one very very faint heartbeat away from having the job herself,
- 26:26Speaker 1: which I think could be even worse, even worse. Steve Grabert,
- 26:30Speaker 1: work can be able to find you. Steve Gribber dot
- 26:32Speaker 1: com is a good place to start. Steve Grebber dot com.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I'm on America's Voice News twice a day from six
- 26:37Speaker 1: in the morning till late and one to three in
- 26:39Speaker 1: the afterune the brand new podcast, The Sweat Lodge. If
- 26:42Speaker 1: that offends you, so it is The Sweat Lodge now
- 26:46Speaker 1: in production. So there you go. Thank you, Steve. I
- 26:48Speaker 1: appreciate it. Look, let me at least introduce you. No right,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you got this. Everybody knows. I'm Kurch like you're seeing
- 26:58Speaker 1: you call on miss the town Hall tire United States
- 27:00Speaker 1: Army colonel and the author of the forthcoming book will
- 27:03Speaker 1: be back. I go back to. I go back to
- 27:07Speaker 1: what I was saying to you a moment ago. You're
- 27:09Speaker 1: seeing what and witnessing what's happened in Ukraine. Give me
- 27:11Speaker 1: your overall viewpoint. We have a president right now that
- 27:14Speaker 1: is clearly not doing anything to stop them. We have
- 27:17Speaker 1: a White House, it's actually undermined saying that they'll keep
- 27:20Speaker 1: working with as long as he's a legitimate leader in Ukraine.
- 27:24Speaker 1: That just came out. Really, that's what they said. Look,
- 27:27Speaker 1: they said, as long as I want to make sure
- 27:29Speaker 1: that I'm very clear about this. In the last segment,
- 27:31Speaker 1: it came out the White House said on the record
- 27:34Speaker 1: on the world stage, because no longer national TV, it's international.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Putin watched this. We will continue to work with Zelinsky
- 27:42Speaker 1: as long as he's a legitimate You just killed him.
- 27:45Speaker 1: We just killed him. We will over exaggeratedy, no, no,
- 27:48Speaker 1: we will continue to work with Charles Steagall until the
- 27:51Speaker 1: Vichy government, you know, really takes charge. I'm staging. Are
- 27:56Speaker 1: young that would be in Paris, but continue I am staggered.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Is if they can convene a council of renowned morons
- 28:04Speaker 1: to come up with worst possible courses of action. And
- 28:09Speaker 1: then said, yeah, these are bad, but you can do worse.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Go back, bring me worse ideas. I mean, this is insane.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Minor incursion. Yeah, m but we're okay as long as
- 28:22Speaker 1: it's a minor incursion. Now, if it's a major incursion,
- 28:25Speaker 1: you're screwed. But if it's a minor incursion, incursion, what
- 28:32Speaker 1: do you say about people who are so ignorant of history,
- 28:34Speaker 1: what do you say about people who are so strategically inept.
- 28:38Speaker 1: I I'm staggered. You know, you served your country, you
- 28:42Speaker 1: do know, and we were you know, joking earlier, but
- 28:45Speaker 1: you know military, you're you're formal colonel. You understand. If
- 28:50Speaker 1: you're in the military right now and you're witnessing this,
- 28:53Speaker 1: I think everybody genuinely understands. And we have a fatigue
- 28:56Speaker 1: in this country for war. Yes we do, no, we do.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But you also have a superpower. And somebody criticized me
- 29:01Speaker 1: yesterday because I said that Russia has a superpower. Tell
- 29:04Speaker 1: me why they're not well Russia. But but I'm talking
- 29:08Speaker 1: about when I say to power, I'm talking about militarily
- 29:10Speaker 1: threat to the world, and and Vladimir Putin threatened US,
- 29:14Speaker 1: NATO and the entire world and anyone that steps in
- 29:17Speaker 1: and whatever they want to do right now in Ukraine
- 29:19Speaker 1: and possibly beyond with nuclear a nuclear tak They've got
- 29:23Speaker 1: eight thousand nuclear wave and they have the most nuclear
- 29:25Speaker 1: weapons uh in active service of anything. So if you
- 29:28Speaker 1: have a thousand. From a military standpoint, I'm talking about
- 29:31Speaker 1: destruction of the world in my opinion. Here they are
- 29:33Speaker 1: a superpower. No, they are, and we should tree him
- 29:36Speaker 1: that way. They are not a conventional superpower anymore. Um,
- 29:40Speaker 1: the forces that they've used have been performing not quite
- 29:43Speaker 1: as well as I expected, frankly, but that they still
- 29:47Speaker 1: seem to be. Here's the thing about Russia, and again
- 29:51Speaker 1: you may disagree with me, what this seems to be
- 29:54Speaker 1: is almost like Gulf War two point zero in a
- 29:57Speaker 1: weird way. Soften them up, have the people leave, and
- 30:00Speaker 1: let's make sure that the Russian people don't see a
- 30:02Speaker 1: Russian soldier bodybags coming back. It's almost like they're trying
- 30:06Speaker 1: to go in in a way that is like, we'll
- 30:08Speaker 1: just beat them down, yeah, and make sure we don't
- 30:10Speaker 1: have bodybags, because if we do, that can inspire people
- 30:13Speaker 1: to stand up and fight against us. I mean, you
- 30:14Speaker 1: heard about the soldiers just say they blew off the
- 30:16Speaker 1: off that island they were defending and they said put
- 30:19Speaker 1: down your weapons. And I'm gonna paraphrase this, but this
- 30:21Speaker 1: is not a joke. This is real. It's been verified yet.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I think it was twelve thirteen thirteen. Guys, on this
- 30:27Speaker 1: small basically lighthouse islands, island, Snake Island, it's like imagine
- 30:31Speaker 1: like a lighthouse. Yeah, and the Russians came on them,
- 30:35Speaker 1: which is you didn't need it, why would this happen?
- 30:37Speaker 1: And this is just shows you Russia right now in
- 30:38Speaker 1: their mentality. And they told him putting in your arms,
- 30:40Speaker 1: we're gonna kill you. And the radio transmission back was
- 30:43Speaker 1: basically f literally fu yes, and then they killed them. Look,
- 30:46Speaker 1: I've worked with Ukrainians. I deployed with a part of
- 30:50Speaker 1: Multinational Brigade East in the Kosovo was a Polish Ukrainian battalion.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I went to Ukraine four times to train Ukrainians and
- 30:58Speaker 1: they are tough dudes, and they are they are not
- 31:02Speaker 1: afraid of hardship. Okay. They have that kind of Eastern
- 31:05Speaker 1: European attitude where well, we're all gonna die, but I'm
- 31:09Speaker 1: gonna hurt you first. Um. They they look, their formations
- 31:14Speaker 1: are going to be smashed by the Russian advance. That's
- 31:16Speaker 1: what the Russian army are supposed to do. They'll go
- 31:19Speaker 1: into disarray and then the gorilla stuff will start. Remember
- 31:23Speaker 1: Stalin had to fight for ten years after retaking Ukraine
- 31:26Speaker 1: until nineteen fifty five against anti communist gorillas. Ten years.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Gonna bring in Bobby Charles. He's a good friend of mine.
- 31:35Speaker 1: We were having dinner last night. He is a former
- 31:37Speaker 1: under secretary under Colin Powell, a man that's served in
- 31:40Speaker 1: the Reagan and Bush White House. I also have my
- 31:42Speaker 1: good friend Kurt across from me as well. I'm not
- 31:44Speaker 1: gonna your your last name. If we could just change it,
- 31:47Speaker 1: make my life a lot sliictor it's just hard. I
- 31:50Speaker 1: don't it just Slicktor, It's it looks weird. Pronounce a
- 31:53Speaker 1: nine hundred times and it will never end. I'm sorry,
- 31:55Speaker 1: uh it. Kurts here as well. I want to go, Bobby,
- 31:58Speaker 1: do you real quick? Kiv Mayers just says you to
- 32:00Speaker 1: dire a warning and an update that the Russian troops
- 32:02Speaker 1: are closing in and they are bombing the hell out
- 32:05Speaker 1: of Kiev right now, and they are coming We're seeing
- 32:09Speaker 1: the videos coming in right now and they're now saying
- 32:12Speaker 1: that the bodies are also adding up. People are dying there.
- 32:17Speaker 1: There are shots being fired in the street. There is
- 32:19Speaker 1: close combat. From what we understand here, this is not
- 32:23Speaker 1: the way that traditionally, and I think both of you
- 32:25Speaker 1: would agree, and I'll go to Bobby you first, that
- 32:28Speaker 1: Russia would normally fight this. Which is that X factor
- 32:31Speaker 1: now is it's almost like Vladimir Putin's operating on a
- 32:35Speaker 1: different timeline than what you would be doing if you
- 32:38Speaker 1: were playing the long game. Here are wanting to take
- 32:40Speaker 1: over Ukraine in a semi orderly fashion. This is a
- 32:44Speaker 1: full out like war and he's okay with killing and
- 32:48Speaker 1: masacring a lot of people. Yeah, this is a very
- 32:51Speaker 1: disturbing moment, both in modern history and for Europe. This
- 32:56Speaker 1: is already the largest conflict since World War Two in
- 33:00Speaker 1: terms of this particular engagement. As you just pointed out,
- 33:03Speaker 1: if the purpose it was to bring a stable Ukraine
- 33:07Speaker 1: into the orbit of a former superpower Russia and kind
- 33:13Speaker 1: of along the lines of the messianistic kind of historically
- 33:17Speaker 1: tied warm water Port and all that, you wouldn't destroy
- 33:21Speaker 1: one of the oldest cities on the planet. It's a
- 33:24Speaker 1: strange term. It doesn't make sense to destroy a city.
- 33:27Speaker 1: And that's the part we were all talking about during
- 33:29Speaker 1: the break here is this is a historic city. It
- 33:33Speaker 1: is so just for what it's worth. People don't know
- 33:35Speaker 1: another respelling Kiev in a different way but people don't
- 33:38Speaker 1: know how historic and significant Kiev is. If you go
- 33:41Speaker 1: back to the history of mankind, in the history of Christianity,
- 33:45Speaker 1: or just google for example, Musurski's a very very famous composer,
- 33:49Speaker 1: like Tchaikovsky, another Russian composer. If you, if you, if
- 33:53Speaker 1: you google his pictures at exhibition. One of the most
- 33:56Speaker 1: poignant makes people cry, one of the most powerful, powerful
- 33:59Speaker 1: pieces of music involves the bells of Kiev. Why because
- 34:03Speaker 1: Kiev was in some ways the gates to Christianity in
- 34:06Speaker 1: the north out of Jerusalem. So you're seeing someone who
- 34:10Speaker 1: claims that he's defending the Russian people, but the people heritage,
- 34:14Speaker 1: the broader imperial heritage really involves it does involve Ukraine,
- 34:20Speaker 1: elements of Ukraine, and certainly Kiev in the sense that
- 34:22Speaker 1: it's a respected city and it's a it's a very
- 34:26Speaker 1: historic city. And now that I mean, I just read
- 34:29Speaker 1: reports this morning earlier that there are a couple of
- 34:30Speaker 1: hundred dead, and that you have and the Ukrainian President
- 34:33Speaker 1: Zolenski is now confirmed and this was as an hour ago,
- 34:35Speaker 1: so the number I'm sure as much higher. Now one
- 34:37Speaker 1: hundred and thirty seven Ukrainians have been confirmed killed more
- 34:40Speaker 1: than three hundred wounded on day one. They are saying
- 34:43Speaker 1: now that number is rising. And this at the same time,
- 34:46Speaker 1: while Putin said he's quote prepared to negotiate with Ukrainian officials,
- 34:49Speaker 1: and I mentioned this during the break, something else that
- 34:52Speaker 1: just came out as we just basically killed Zelenski as
- 34:56Speaker 1: a country by saying we'll keep working with Zelinsky as
- 35:01Speaker 1: long as he's the legitimate leader of Ukraine. He's done.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I think, I mean, he's I'm animated and I'm mad, Bobby,
- 35:11Speaker 1: And you've seen this for a long time, so you
- 35:14Speaker 1: worked with the Reagan Bush. I can't imagine that statement
- 35:17Speaker 1: coming out from any other president's White House saying we'll
- 35:20Speaker 1: work with our ally until you guys kill him. Can
- 35:23Speaker 1: you imagine George Schultz uttering that kind of uh nonsense.
- 35:27Speaker 1: It's we haven't never say that. We haven't say that.
- 35:32Speaker 1: We have an a historical, essentially un serious administration. You know,
- 35:36Speaker 1: the Reagan guys. That was full of guys who who
- 35:38Speaker 1: fought in the Pacific and World War Two, like George Renolts, Uh, guys,
- 35:42Speaker 1: Bill Casey Oss, I mean, Jim Baker was a marine.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I believe, I mean, these were serious men with a
- 35:51Speaker 1: serious background. You got Colin Pale Yes, and I've got
- 35:54Speaker 1: some issues with his politics. I don't have any issues
- 35:56Speaker 1: with him as a military leader. Um. And I I
- 36:01Speaker 1: was there in Desert Storm thirty one years ago. I remember,
- 36:04Speaker 1: we're gonna cut him off and we're gonna kill him. Yep,
- 36:06Speaker 1: Okay this And what do we have now, Jensaki, Tony Blinkin,
- 36:11Speaker 1: General Austin who's never won a war. Well, just like
- 36:15Speaker 1: at Tony Blinkin, where did he come from? No One? Yeah,
- 36:19Speaker 1: so I went to law school with Tony. I know
- 36:21Speaker 1: Tony very well. And the sad part about it is
- 36:23Speaker 1: that it's almost what you're describing as sort of the
- 36:26Speaker 1: triumph of politics and amateurism, instead of having the people
- 36:30Speaker 1: we always thought if you if you ran a company,
- 36:32Speaker 1: or if you ran a bureau or a department, or
- 36:35Speaker 1: you ran a division, you want the best possible field
- 36:38Speaker 1: commanders you can have. You want if somebody knows more
- 36:41Speaker 1: than me. I am very happy that they know more
- 36:43Speaker 1: than me, because I'm gonna put them in charge of
- 36:45Speaker 1: whatever it is they know a lot about and I don't.
- 36:47Speaker 1: This administration is the exact reverse from the top, from
- 36:50Speaker 1: the very top to the bottom. You have a combination
- 36:53Speaker 1: of incompetence, arrogance, and ignorance, and the result is you
- 36:56Speaker 1: get things like Afghanistan and the disaster there. What I'm
- 37:00Speaker 1: what I'm really I'm concerned that what this administration keeps doing,
- 37:03Speaker 1: and it's happening with Ukraine and Russia and China, is
- 37:07Speaker 1: that there's it's like they're on time delay and they
- 37:10Speaker 1: play the game after three moves have been made by
- 37:12Speaker 1: the opponent, and then they decide they're going to do something.
- 37:15Speaker 1: This is It's an incompetent way to manage any conflict.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And the concern right now is what you're seeing is
- 37:20Speaker 1: the optempo. In my view, if just just people can
- 37:22Speaker 1: just look online right now, and there's plenty in the
- 37:25Speaker 1: public space, the opt tempo of what's happening is happening
- 37:29Speaker 1: at the rate of speed of what happened in nineteen
- 37:31Speaker 1: thirty eight when Hitler goes into the Sudete land. Everybody
- 37:34Speaker 1: backs off, They do minimal things, They claim this is
- 37:37Speaker 1: just it, and the next thing you know, another country falls,
- 37:39Speaker 1: and then another country falls. What happens. I am fully
- 37:42Speaker 1: convinced at this point that this and I say it
- 37:46Speaker 1: because I believe it. I think that Vladimir Putin is
- 37:50Speaker 1: operating off a different timeline, a different watch, a different
- 37:53Speaker 1: set of metrics than the rest of the world is
- 37:55Speaker 1: right now, and this is abnormal for him. Yet he
- 37:59Speaker 1: is always play the waiting game. Well, he has always
- 38:02Speaker 1: played the the the hit pause game. Well, and you know,
- 38:05Speaker 1: even Putin just came out thirty minutes ago and said
- 38:08Speaker 1: he's quote prepared to negotiate with Ukraine and officials as
- 38:11Speaker 1: he's murdering innocent people and bomb the hell out of
- 38:15Speaker 1: out of the capital of historic city. This is not
- 38:19Speaker 1: rational behavior. It reminds me so much a history of
- 38:22Speaker 1: a guy by the name of Adolf Hitler. Well, look,
- 38:24Speaker 1: I'm not sure it's irrational because he seems to be
- 38:26Speaker 1: getting everything he wants. He's inside our decision loop, yes
- 38:29Speaker 1: he is. I mean, I mean way inside. I don't
- 38:31Speaker 1: even think we have a decision cycle. You look at this,
- 38:36Speaker 1: and I you know, I'm just a simple war college right,
- 38:39Speaker 1: I'm just at some colonel and I'm looking at this
- 38:43Speaker 1: and I'm staggered. Yea, at the at the absolute in confidence. Now,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I when I trained Ukraine's four times, Uh, they are
- 38:50Speaker 1: very tough little guys. Uh, they do not think like
- 38:53Speaker 1: we do. I think that Putin might be biting off
- 38:58Speaker 1: more than he can chew if he devastates Ukraine Kiev
- 39:01Speaker 1: and tries to take it. You remember Grosney, You remember
- 39:03Speaker 1: Stalin grab I do. These are guys who I don't,
- 39:07Speaker 1: especially if you get the rural ones are not going
- 39:09Speaker 1: to back off an inch. You know. I tive to
- 39:11Speaker 1: Validita even more on that. You know, people had said
- 39:13Speaker 1: to me a few weeks ago, do you think an
- 39:15Speaker 1: insurgency would rise up? And I said, as long as
- 39:18Speaker 1: they're not, you know, destroying the whole country. No, but
- 39:22Speaker 1: very minimal. But this is not because this is not Afghanistan.
- 39:26Speaker 1: But this is very different. What you're describing I think
- 39:29Speaker 1: is absolutely right. I think you have a situation here
- 39:31Speaker 1: where you could see the blood feud created here that
- 39:35Speaker 1: lasts one hundred years and it's going to be bad.
- 39:39Speaker 1: John Kerry, member of our government, says you should be
- 39:42Speaker 1: concerned about climate change and that is the number one
- 39:47Speaker 1: issue right now. That Vladimir Putneys understand that what he's
- 39:49Speaker 1: doing right now is a problem with climate will allow
- 39:53Speaker 1: me to say if I can ben that. Bobby Charles,
- 39:56Speaker 1: the Voice you're hearing right now, Kurt selector schlicktor whatever,
- 39:59Speaker 1: however it works, allow me to kill me also the
- 40:02Speaker 1: other voice to say hello to people, and your your
- 40:04Speaker 1: microphone's falling over again. For absolute sure, Putin is changing
- 40:08Speaker 1: the climate in Kiev and UH and the climate all
- 40:11Speaker 1: over Ukraine. So point being, I'm being mildly facetious here.
- 40:15Speaker 1: He's destroying the better part of a very ancient country's culture.
- 40:20Speaker 1: So let's yeah, let's worry a little more about the
- 40:22Speaker 1: climate that's being changed by a major artillery and tanks,
- 40:27Speaker 1: and not worry about whether or not you know, the
- 40:28Speaker 1: sun is going to shine tomorrow. Problem is we have
- 40:31Speaker 1: an essentially unserious government, right, yeah, you're right, unfortune. I
- 40:35Speaker 1: want to play you this audio from Kerry that has
- 40:37Speaker 1: now gone viral. All right, listen to this. I want
- 40:40Speaker 1: to get your reaction. I'm very concerned about I'm concerned
- 40:43Speaker 1: about Ukraine because of the people who Ukraine and because
- 40:47Speaker 1: of the principles that are at risk UH in terms
- 40:50Speaker 1: of international law and trying to change boundaries of international
- 40:54Speaker 1: law by force. I thought we lived in a world
- 40:58Speaker 1: that had said no to that of activity. And I
- 41:01Speaker 1: hope diplomacy will win, but a massive emissions consequences to
- 41:06Speaker 1: the war. But equally importantly, you're going to lose people's focus.
- 41:10Speaker 1: You're going to lose certainly big country attention because they
- 41:15Speaker 1: will be diverted, and I think it could have a
- 41:18Speaker 1: damaging impact. So, you know, I think hopefully President Putin
- 41:21Speaker 1: would realize that in the northern part of his country,
- 41:25Speaker 1: they used to live on sixty six percent of a
- 41:27Speaker 1: nation that was over frozen land. Now it's thawing, and
- 41:32Speaker 1: his infrastructure is at risk, and the people of Russia
- 41:35Speaker 1: at risk. And so I hope President Putin will help
- 41:39Speaker 1: us to stay on track with respect of what we
- 41:42Speaker 1: need to do for the climate. For the climate. This
- 41:45Speaker 1: is not a spoof, is not an empising. This is
- 41:48Speaker 1: a leader in the United States of America speaking on
- 41:51Speaker 1: behalf of the administration, doing an interview that Bladimir Putin's
- 41:55Speaker 1: We're wanting to tell Putin, hey, you need to think
- 41:58Speaker 1: about the climate, because you got a bunch of water
- 42:00Speaker 1: could or I used to get turn to water well,
- 42:03Speaker 1: And I can't eve believe I'm having this conversation, but
- 42:05Speaker 1: I will say this one will move on if this
- 42:07Speaker 1: is true, okay, And he has to worry about the
- 42:09Speaker 1: ice melting and his people being flooded out, all the
- 42:12Speaker 1: more reason to take Ukraine, because you need more land
- 42:14Speaker 1: to put those people. I listened to this unserious, frankly
- 42:20Speaker 1: childish nonsense, this bizarre pagan climate religion is running the
- 42:26Speaker 1: world from mister Hines, and I I don't know what
- 42:31Speaker 1: to say. There are people dying right now, and this
- 42:33Speaker 1: clown is catering to the bizarre pagan notions of Marine
- 42:38Speaker 1: County and the faculty lounge. This is an age. This
- 42:43Speaker 1: is the part that scares me. This isn't an Alex
- 42:45Speaker 1: Jones of the of the of the Left. This is
- 42:48Speaker 1: a This is a former nominee yes for the Democratic Party,
- 42:52Speaker 1: a guy that almost won the White House, and a
- 42:55Speaker 1: guy that has a very serious job in this administration.
- 42:58Speaker 1: So the truth is that you know, life is not
- 43:01Speaker 1: a Saturday Night Live skit um. It has life and
- 43:05Speaker 1: death consequences, And whether or not you know the Russian
- 43:07Speaker 1: tanks run on ethanol is really not important. The point
- 43:11Speaker 1: that we need to understand is that this is an
- 43:13Speaker 1: historic inflection point. Many times in history you look back
- 43:18Speaker 1: and you say, gosh, I really didn't realize that was
- 43:19Speaker 1: the wave on which the tide turned. I just thought
- 43:23Speaker 1: it was another wave. And at this moment, I mean,
- 43:26Speaker 1: Mike greatest concern it. It's very disturbing to see disunity
- 43:31Speaker 1: among those allies that have always represented Western values, to
- 43:35Speaker 1: see a sense of almost like passivity toward something that
- 43:40Speaker 1: is clearly getting out of control. This is like the
- 43:42Speaker 1: Magnus effect when a missile spins out of control. This
- 43:44Speaker 1: is this is spinning toward out of control, and and
- 43:47Speaker 1: you have to have rational leadership. Step up. Where's the
- 43:50Speaker 1: Ronald Reagan, Where's the Where's the Theodore Roosevelt? Where's the
- 43:53Speaker 1: George Robert Walker Bush or the Colin Powell? In our wives,
- 43:55Speaker 1: I wish we had a helmet, Schultz, Well, where you
- 43:58Speaker 1: have Hillary? Hillary has just gotten off. Which side is
- 44:02Speaker 1: she on MSNBC. I want you to listen to what
- 44:04Speaker 1: she just said. We are not all right joining us now,
- 44:10Speaker 1: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, It's very good to
- 44:14Speaker 1: have you joining us this morning during this difficult time.
- 44:18Speaker 1: I first want to ask you what you think of
- 44:21Speaker 1: President Biden's response so far in terms of getting collaboration
- 44:25Speaker 1: from our allies as well as messaging the strategy to
- 44:29Speaker 1: the nation. Well, Mica, I think that it has been
- 44:35Speaker 1: well executed. There is no doubt that we were not
- 44:41Speaker 1: in a position just a few years ago to rally anybody,
- 44:45Speaker 1: and now with the President Biden rallying, NATO, rallying not
- 44:50Speaker 1: only Western Europe and Eastern Europe, but far beyond those borders,
- 44:54Speaker 1: to understand the very real threat that Vladimir Putin poses,
- 45:00Speaker 1: then to begin imposing sanctions that will ratch it up.
- 45:03Speaker 1: And I think that is exactly what he should be doing.
- 45:08Speaker 1: There is Hillary Clinton now, and you can even hear
- 45:10Speaker 1: from Murca there on MSBUC. I'm not even sure she
- 45:13Speaker 1: could believe the response from Hillary Clinton praising Joe Biden
- 45:16Speaker 1: for his response Ukraine saying it and I exact quote.
- 45:19Speaker 1: You may have missed this. It has been well executed. Yeah,
- 45:25Speaker 1: all I can tell you that's just not that's delusional.
- 45:27Speaker 1: If I, if I could just close out my little
- 45:29Speaker 1: segment of this, just I saying that sometimes history is
- 45:33Speaker 1: the greatest guide to what the future is. It doesn't
- 45:36Speaker 1: ever repeat itself perfectly. But I'm reminded of Burke and
- 45:42Speaker 1: his famous statement that all it takes for evil to
- 45:45Speaker 1: prevail is for good people to do nothing. And this
- 45:47Speaker 1: administration is the living embodiment in Afghanistan all over the
- 45:51Speaker 1: world in response to China and now with Ukraine of
- 45:55Speaker 1: essentially not only bungling things, but making fundamentally wrong decisions
- 45:59Speaker 1: and decisions that have dramatic consequential life and death impact.
- 46:03Speaker 1: And the problem is, if you had had genuine leadership,
- 46:06Speaker 1: Putin would never have done this. He would have backed away.
- 46:09Speaker 1: He would have understood that our lines that we draw
- 46:11Speaker 1: on the sand are real and we're not doing that
- 46:14Speaker 1: where we see It's it's just almost like, you know,
- 46:16Speaker 1: there's an old phase of strength upon strength built strength. Well,
- 46:20Speaker 1: this is like weakness upon weakness creates weakness, and it's
- 46:24Speaker 1: inviting all of our bad guys. Look, the next thing
- 46:26Speaker 1: that's going to happen, and I'm sorry to say it
- 46:27Speaker 1: is as Putin distracts the world and goes forward and
- 46:31Speaker 1: maybe goes beyond Ukraine, looks at other parts of his
- 46:34Speaker 1: periphery and becomes much more aggressive in Georgia and other
- 46:37Speaker 1: parts of his periphery. You know, China is also going
- 46:40Speaker 1: to look straight on at this and say, this is
- 46:42Speaker 1: our moment. Let's get the soakland island, Let's get the
- 46:44Speaker 1: sprat les, let's get Taiwan. So I'll just leave you
- 46:47Speaker 1: with this, Ben. It's a consequential moment. Leaders are both
- 46:50Speaker 1: born and and non leaders are destroyed in consequential moments.
- 46:54Speaker 1: And we need to have leadership at the federal level,
- 46:56Speaker 1: at the state level. Every candidate out there, we're at
- 46:58Speaker 1: SEAPAC today. You see a lot of these young candidates
- 47:00Speaker 1: who are determined basically to say pedal to the metal
- 47:03Speaker 1: and we got we got to get back to being America.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I pray and hope that a lot of them are
- 47:06Speaker 1: are winning. I want to break one more piece of
- 47:08Speaker 1: news before you walk away, and I need you for
- 47:10Speaker 1: ninety more seconds. Uh. Former presid of Ukraine Porushenko was
- 47:15Speaker 1: seen on the suite streets moments ago um grabbing a
- 47:20Speaker 1: Kalashnikov rifle alongside civilians because the fighting has gotten so bad.
- 47:25Speaker 1: They got a microphone in front of him. There are
- 47:27Speaker 1: bombs going off and you can hear gunfire. This is
- 47:30Speaker 1: what he said moments ago, mister president, can you tell
- 47:33Speaker 1: me what you in the group you're with right now
- 47:35Speaker 1: there are armed with and what your intention is if
- 47:40Speaker 1: the Russians were just assistance here here. This is the
- 47:46Speaker 1: short of Kalashpenkov we have just the let me see
- 47:52Speaker 1: before and low on the three hundred members of the
- 47:58Speaker 1: Battalion of the Territory Defense. And we have two machine
- 48:04Speaker 1: gun and we have models. That's it. We don't have
- 48:09Speaker 1: any have a tillers, we don't have a tanks, we
- 48:12Speaker 1: don't have an armed personal carrier. Because we launched this
- 48:15Speaker 1: process just a couple of days ago. But and we
- 48:18Speaker 1: create that for the two days. This is the long
- 48:20Speaker 1: life of the people who want to enlist it in
- 48:23Speaker 1: the battalion. But we don't have enough palms for that.
- 48:26Speaker 1: And this is the only limit why the signal defense.
- 48:29Speaker 1: The normal ordinary people sometimes snap being in the army,
- 48:33Speaker 1: staying in line now to join us. Well, you can
- 48:36Speaker 1: hear he's breaking down his voice. You can hear that
- 48:39Speaker 1: there he's saying, there are people lining up. We don't
- 48:41Speaker 1: have enough arms. We have four machine guns we have
- 48:44Speaker 1: He holds up his rifle, his crutch and cop rifle.
- 48:47Speaker 1: This is not enough to fight Russia. They're going to
- 48:49Speaker 1: be massacred. And this is the former president of Ukraine Prschenko,
- 48:53Speaker 1: out in the streets with these other men and women
- 48:56Speaker 1: because they are under attack by Russia. So let me
- 48:58Speaker 1: just leave you with one last thought in it, and
- 49:00Speaker 1: it's this we often thought and having and all of
- 49:04Speaker 1: us here were part of what we thought was the
- 49:06Speaker 1: end of the Soviet Union. We watched Reagan and Bush
- 49:08Speaker 1: and others disaggregate what had been the Soviet Communist state.
- 49:13Speaker 1: But you have to remember that Putin is a carryover
- 49:16Speaker 1: from that state. He is a former KGB agent who
- 49:19Speaker 1: was clearly brought into that entire philosophy. This is Hungary
- 49:23Speaker 1: nineteen fifty six. This is Czechoslovakia in nineteen sixty seven.
- 49:26Speaker 1: This is the way that the Ukrainians are responding to.
- 49:29Speaker 1: This is Poland nineteen eighty eighty two. This is the
- 49:31Speaker 1: way that the Ukrainians are responding to this rightly is
- 49:34Speaker 1: that this is like a Soviet style overrun of a
- 49:38Speaker 1: contiguous country that was sovereign. And I will just say
- 49:42Speaker 1: that it's It has tremendous dangerous downstream effects on what
- 49:45Speaker 1: will happen throughout the rest of Europe. Europe is very unfortunately.
- 49:49Speaker 1: People have warned about this for a long time. But
- 49:50Speaker 1: they are heavily dependent on the oil. They get forty
- 49:54Speaker 1: thirty percent of their oil from Russia. They get forty
- 49:56Speaker 1: percent of their natural gas from Russia. It's a dangerous moment,
- 50:00Speaker 1: and frankly, what you need is a clear clarion voice
- 50:02Speaker 1: from the United States leading a global alliance to say
- 50:06Speaker 1: this must stop or you'll be isolated from the financial system, etc.
- 50:11Speaker 1: We also need to obviously buck up all of our
- 50:13Speaker 1: NATO allies because they're gonna be worried. Every one of
- 50:15Speaker 1: them is worried Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, all the Western
- 50:18Speaker 1: even the Western Allies, are worried Russia. Russia has only
- 50:21Speaker 1: two things, oil and a military and that's a dangerous combination. Kurt,
- 50:31Speaker 1: you were a retired army empathy colonel. You were in
- 50:34Speaker 1: charge of troops seven thousand two in the context of
- 50:39Speaker 1: nothing sounds like it's a lot of people. I want
- 50:42Speaker 1: to make that clear, but you're a military guy. Seven
- 50:45Speaker 1: thousand troops going to Germany is nothing, It really is.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I was a deputy brigade commander, acting brigade commander of
- 50:52Speaker 1: infantry brigade combat Team. We had about five thousand, seven
- 50:57Speaker 1: thousand sounds like a brigade. Maybe if army, it sounds
- 51:00Speaker 1: like a brigade plus some supporters. But here here's the thing.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Then you don't just send guys, right, you send you
- 51:09Speaker 1: send formations. Formations have all the capabilities. They have the
- 51:13Speaker 1: broad spectrum battlefield operating systems, because we it's just not
- 51:17Speaker 1: guys with rifles or even guys in tanks. You have
- 51:20Speaker 1: integrated artillery, you have integrated electronic warfare, cyber, you have
- 51:25Speaker 1: all sorts of supporting elements. You know, our tooth detail ratio,
- 51:30Speaker 1: that is the guys supporting the guys actually fighting is
- 51:32Speaker 1: pretty high. You have several people for everyone who's actually
- 51:36Speaker 1: carrying a rifle. So when they say seven thousand people,
- 51:40Speaker 1: I mean when I was in the Los Angeles riots
- 51:43Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety two, we had about twenty thousand soldiers
- 51:47Speaker 1: on the street in the riots the Los Angeles lets,
- 51:52Speaker 1: twenty thousand on the street and we killed one guy.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I mean, And this is are we We're supposed to
- 52:01Speaker 1: enforce Article five of a NATO, which says, you know,
- 52:05Speaker 1: you attack a member state, and Ukraine is borders member states,
- 52:10Speaker 1: as Belarus and Russia does too. It's just not serious.
- 52:15Speaker 1: I mean, when I was in Germany at the end
- 52:16Speaker 1: of the Cold War, we had two armored cores. We
- 52:19Speaker 1: had five hundred thousand service members over there. It was
- 52:24Speaker 1: a mighty force. We don't have anything like that. Now.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I want to go back to history, because I think
- 52:30Speaker 1: we should rap with history, and I'm going to ask you.
- 52:34Speaker 1: I want to make it clearer. There's a lot of
- 52:35Speaker 1: parallels that will not line up. But but the mindset
- 52:39Speaker 1: that when Adolf Hitler was in charge in Germany World
- 52:42Speaker 1: War two, there were a lot of people early on
- 52:44Speaker 1: they're like, all right, well, if he just takes acts
- 52:47Speaker 1: and stops, we can live with that. Yes, we are
- 52:52Speaker 1: witnessing the same exact mentality this time at the beginning
- 52:55Speaker 1: stages of whatever this turns out to be, which is
- 52:58Speaker 1: all right, Well, if Putin just takes Ukraine and that's
- 53:02Speaker 1: it and doesn't mess with any other country and doesn't
- 53:04Speaker 1: go and mess with a NATO nation, Oh we've accepted it,
- 53:09Speaker 1: have we not? Like it's clear Biden's accepted, even saying
- 53:12Speaker 1: that the president of the Ukraine, the White House positions
- 53:14Speaker 1: as long as he's quote the legitimate leader of Ukraine.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Those are their words. We will continue to work with him.
- 53:21Speaker 1: You've killed him off, he's done, he's done. Uh. These
- 53:24Speaker 1: guys are sending messages that hey, we're just stop and
- 53:29Speaker 1: if you have to overthrow the government install a public government.
- 53:31Speaker 1: That's fine. We can live with that. In fact, they
- 53:33Speaker 1: can live with it, and they're going to live with it.
- 53:37Speaker 1: They've already decided. They another word, Ukraine is a sacrificial
- 53:41Speaker 1: Lambkin is gone and you just say, hey, putin stopped
- 53:44Speaker 1: there and will be cool? Yeah, will he stop there?
- 53:47Speaker 1: Remember it is markedly different across into a NATO state?
- 53:51Speaker 1: Is it? It is? Hold on in theory is supposed
- 53:54Speaker 1: to be. Uh is I mean? I mean, how many
- 53:57Speaker 1: countries do you really think would go in and and
- 53:59Speaker 1: defend in That's a great question. A NATO state right now,
- 54:02Speaker 1: that's a great question. Estonia, Latia, Lithuania are are the
- 54:07Speaker 1: key ones. I don't think he's gonna vy Romania. That's
- 54:09Speaker 1: ethnically different, Hungary's ethnically different. Poland Poles are tough, and
- 54:14Speaker 1: I'm not sure he wants to bite that off. But um,
- 54:18Speaker 1: the Baltic States any know where the people there understand
- 54:24Speaker 1: Russia or speak RUSSI shit, or we're part of Russia.
- 54:27Speaker 1: We're part of Russia. The USSR is what he clearly
- 54:29Speaker 1: wants his wants his hands on. He will be he
- 54:32Speaker 1: will be looking at those and uh, you know, would
- 54:35Speaker 1: I put it past him? And and would America go
- 54:38Speaker 1: to war against the nuclear power over Estonia, Lafia and Lithuania.
- 54:41Speaker 1: We'll see. We've pledged to yeah, but that doesn't seem
- 54:46Speaker 1: to mean anything right now. Well, the British are putting
- 54:48Speaker 1: the armored forces into the Baltic States right now, so
- 54:53Speaker 1: we have some forces there. I guess it's a trip wire,
- 54:57Speaker 1: but we have to see what's gonna happen, all right.
