- 1:01Speaker 1: turn hur you go, you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn you haven't got to turn them out? Then turn

- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall well a good hearted everybody. You are listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, come on dig me now, one and only.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Oh yeah, man, got a radio show. Do
- 2:13Speaker 1: you understand that? I'm telling you God been big in
- 2:16Speaker 1: my life. I'm not gonna kid you. I'm telling you
- 2:19Speaker 1: in here do the same thing for you. God. God
- 2:23Speaker 1: is a gentleman, you know. I want to I want
- 2:25Speaker 1: to point that out to you. God is an absolute gentleman.
- 2:30Speaker 1: He will not come in unless he's invited. He don't
- 2:35Speaker 1: just barge into your life. He gives us the power
- 2:39Speaker 1: of choice. You know, if you say you got it,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I don't need you. He let you have it. If
- 2:46Speaker 1: you say I need you, come see about me. He
- 2:49Speaker 1: right there. It's just a real simple thing. Man. So
- 2:54Speaker 1: always say to people this if you've gotten yourself into something,
- 3:00Speaker 1: please know I have. I was stuck. I thought a
- 3:06Speaker 1: couple of times, well, might not make it past this one.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But then if I don't make it past it, what's
- 3:14Speaker 1: gonna happen? And then I held on to this little
- 3:18Speaker 1: thing that my mother kept talking to me about. She said, sometimes,
- 3:22Speaker 1: so when you ain't got nothing else in you, just hope,
- 3:26Speaker 1: she said, Just hope it'll be all right, you know.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And what I've learned in my life is that hope.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It's the beginning of faith. Hope. It's just is there
- 3:37Speaker 1: a possibility out there for me? I sure hope something happened.
- 3:44Speaker 1: See hope, hope it's okay, man, Because like I say,
- 3:49Speaker 1: for me, the way I've lived my life, hope was
- 3:52Speaker 1: the beginning of faith. It was just the idea. It's
- 3:56Speaker 1: just the thought that something could change from me, that
- 3:59Speaker 1: something could be a little bit different from me, that maybe, man,
- 4:03Speaker 1: just maybe for some reason, I could be saved, I
- 4:08Speaker 1: could be rescued, Things could turn around, it could head
- 4:12Speaker 1: any other direction. Maybe I could quit messing up. Maybe
- 4:16Speaker 1: somebody will forgive me, Maybe somebody will just say all right.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I don't know, but I can't count the times I've
- 4:23Speaker 1: been in that position. But then once I hope a
- 4:26Speaker 1: little bit, and then I remember also my mother, because
- 4:29Speaker 1: she was a Sunday school teacher, she taught me the
- 4:32Speaker 1: most valuable lesson I've ever learned in my life. Nothing
- 4:36Speaker 1: has been greater in my life than my faith. She
- 4:38Speaker 1: taught me to pray. Mamma used to say, when it
- 4:41Speaker 1: get real dark for your son, prad changes things. She said,
- 4:45Speaker 1: when you seem like you lost and you can't finding
- 4:48Speaker 1: your way, stop and pray, she said, because prad changes things.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You know, when you get a point in your life
- 4:56Speaker 1: when you've done all you can do and you can't
- 4:58Speaker 1: do no more, and you just don't what to do next,
- 5:01Speaker 1: she says, stop, suh, pray and combine that prayer with
- 5:07Speaker 1: that hope that you got, she said, because that hope
- 5:10Speaker 1: is the beginning of faith. She said. If you pray
- 5:13Speaker 1: just hoping, she's saying that God come through for you.
- 5:17Speaker 1: That will give you confidence that he can do it again.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And then after a while you quit hoping, she's saying,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you start believing. She saying, that's when you're on to something.
- 5:27Speaker 1: If you can turn that hope into belief, that hope
- 5:31Speaker 1: into faith, the ability to believe in something that you
- 5:35Speaker 1: can't see. But the key though the faith is you're
- 5:38Speaker 1: believing in something that you can't see. See hoping a
- 5:43Speaker 1: little bit different from me Now, I'm pretty sure, Like
- 5:45Speaker 1: I say oftentimes to tell a lot of people who
- 5:48Speaker 1: can explain this thing a lot better than I can
- 5:50Speaker 1: to you, but just from my side of it, being
- 5:53Speaker 1: as real as I can be rich. See, hope helps. Man.
- 5:57Speaker 1: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, hope, and
- 6:01Speaker 1: then if you pray with some hope and God answers
- 6:04Speaker 1: your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence and
- 6:08Speaker 1: after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now ain't just hoping,
- 6:14Speaker 1: but I'm believing. I'm believing in something that I cannot see.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Faith has been the key to my entire existence, even
- 6:26Speaker 1: when I didn't have any It was faith, as I
- 6:29Speaker 1: look back on it, that has gotten me here, and
- 6:33Speaker 1: not just faith, but my faith. See, you will only
- 6:38Speaker 1: get to where you're going in your life based on
- 6:42Speaker 1: your faith. See A lot of people get the word
- 6:46Speaker 1: faith confused, like what's your faith? And then they started
- 6:49Speaker 1: going down this whole list of all these different religions
- 6:52Speaker 1: out here. But really an essence man, when I talk
- 6:55Speaker 1: to people about faith, I'm talking to you about your
- 7:00Speaker 1: your belief. How much do you believe in the unseen?
- 7:05Speaker 1: How much do you believe in the things you can't see?
- 7:08Speaker 1: How much do you believe in the impossible? How much
- 7:13Speaker 1: do you believe see? Because faith is the belief in
- 7:19Speaker 1: things that you cannot see. Faith is the core of
- 7:25Speaker 1: all that is happening to me today. It is the
- 7:28Speaker 1: faith that I have in my relationship with God that
- 7:32Speaker 1: enables me to just oftentimes, if I stay on the
- 7:37Speaker 1: right course and believe a certain way and act a
- 7:41Speaker 1: certain way, his blessings just poor. They just come. And
- 7:48Speaker 1: it comes in a lot of little ways too. I've
- 7:50Speaker 1: started to notice, see it ain't just a lot of
- 7:52Speaker 1: people think blessings is money, and now, man, that ain't it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It's coverage. It's every time my plane lands it's safe.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's every time they predict bad weather and I get
- 8:05Speaker 1: up in the sky and it don't be no bad weather.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know this, This is favor. These are blessings that
- 8:12Speaker 1: get poured out to me. Somebody call me and offer
- 8:15Speaker 1: me something, not money, but an opportunity, you know. Somebody say, hey, man,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't know, but I sent this to you. I
- 8:24Speaker 1: thought you might be interested in it. Somebody has sent
- 8:27Speaker 1: me a scripture, or somebody will send me something that's favor,
- 8:32Speaker 1: and it always comes at a time when I need
- 8:34Speaker 1: it the most. That's favor, that's pouring out blessings. Now
- 8:40Speaker 1: I'm also the recipient of a lot of other blessings too.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You know, I've been blessed with health. That's amazing blessing. Man.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I've been blessed with a spirit of not quitting. I've
- 8:53Speaker 1: been blessed with the ability to shoulder huge amounts of responsibility.
- 8:59Speaker 1: See less things come a lot of ways. But once
- 9:03Speaker 1: you tie into God, once you tie in and you
- 9:07Speaker 1: start doing the best you can do, and you start
- 9:10Speaker 1: asking for him to make you a better person, to
- 9:14Speaker 1: help shape and mold you into the kind of man
- 9:17Speaker 1: or person that he wants you to be. You be
- 9:20Speaker 1: amazed what God can do with you. Man, if you
- 9:23Speaker 1: just invite me in and allow him to be a
- 9:25Speaker 1: part of your life. I mean, what you got to
- 9:28Speaker 1: lose out there? Come on, if you're sitting in the
- 9:30Speaker 1: cell this morning, why why would you not change? You
- 9:34Speaker 1: have a chance to turn your life around with a
- 9:36Speaker 1: relationship with God. What you're waiting on. Are you gonna
- 9:39Speaker 1: just keep doing it like that? Huh? Really? Come on, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: why would you do that to yourself? Why would you
- 9:47Speaker 1: not allow God to be a part of your life
- 9:50Speaker 1: so you can get the way He want you to be.
- 9:52Speaker 1: God got some big plans for you. If he didn't,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you wouldn't keep waking up ladies and gentlemen. I've got
- 10:03Speaker 1: sunshine on a cloudy day when it's cold outside. I
- 10:08Speaker 1: got the month of May. Well, I guess you say,
- 10:13Speaker 1: what can make me feel this way? My girl? My girl,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm talking about my girl. I've got sunshine on a
- 10:30Speaker 1: cloudy day when it's cold outside. I got the month
- 10:42Speaker 1: of me where. I guess you say, yeah, what can
- 10:55Speaker 1: make me feel this way? My gold? My girl talking
- 11:05Speaker 1: bout my girl, my girl. I've got soul. Come on, David, David,
- 11:20Speaker 1: this is Steve harden More. It started like that to day.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I don't even ask me where they came from. Baby
- 11:28Speaker 1: squear down in my soul, in my soul, I felt
- 11:33Speaker 1: that Sherley Strawberry collar for real, mouth to the South
- 11:36Speaker 1: Junior legend of nephew Tommy Junior. What's on your mind? Day? Man?
- 11:41Speaker 1: First of all, man, thank you for that opening. Dog.
- 11:43Speaker 1: That feel great, man, because that Josie you just did
- 11:45Speaker 1: right there. Boy, that takes something to slap you across
- 11:47Speaker 1: your face. What we thought that got it? He said,
- 11:52Speaker 1: my girl? Who is that? That's not to be him? Baby?
- 11:56Speaker 1: That David? Don't play? Don't play j don't play? What
- 12:01Speaker 1: is it? But then on the same thought, on the
- 12:03Speaker 1: same note, man, feeling good, man, just standing feeling good
- 12:07Speaker 1: because you know, man, I just found out, Man, there's
- 12:09Speaker 1: some snakes in the grass. Can you find out? These haters?
- 12:11Speaker 1: Man don't want you to be due? Yeah, man, it's
- 12:16Speaker 1: amats out of here. Man that every time you're doing something,
- 12:19Speaker 1: they got something to say about what you're doing. They
- 12:21Speaker 1: never support any dream or vision of anything you're doing,
- 12:25Speaker 1: and they have a comment behind it. They always say,
- 12:28Speaker 1: you think that's gonna work? Or you think you feeling
- 12:30Speaker 1: to get better at that? Oh, why you come up
- 12:32Speaker 1: with that's? Uh huh. Quit expecting them to support anything
- 12:40Speaker 1: and expect them to do what they've been doing. Haters
- 12:45Speaker 1: hate nothing's about hater. Have you ever seen a really
- 12:53Speaker 1: wealthy hater? I really? Oh wow? Have you ever really
- 12:59Speaker 1: seen to see an incredibly successful person that was a hater.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'll say, I've seen a wealthy person who's who was
- 13:10Speaker 1: a hater and that's Trump. Yeah, that's that's the one Trump.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Here's a problem. Trump is not as wealthy as everybody,
- 13:18Speaker 1: thank he is. How come he ain't on the Forbes
- 13:20Speaker 1: Listen nowhere since he's so wealthy? What no, no, no no, no,
- 13:24Speaker 1: no no stop, no wait, listen to rich people. Rich
- 13:27Speaker 1: people know he'd be on one of them list. He
- 13:31Speaker 1: ain't on man one of them list. He ain't ever
- 13:33Speaker 1: been on one of them list. All coming up in
- 13:37Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, William from the Nephew.
- 13:40Speaker 1: If he runs that brank back right after this, you're listening,
- 13:44Speaker 1: Stry Morning show. It is time now to start your
- 13:48Speaker 1: morning off with the nephew and run that frank back.
- 13:52Speaker 1: What you got for us now, headed back to the
- 13:54Speaker 1: cemetery this morning. We were there yesterday. Yes, yes, we
- 13:59Speaker 1: headed back to the cemetery. You gave wrong directions to
- 14:05Speaker 1: my sister's grave. You gave wrong directions to my sister.
- 14:11Speaker 1: And let me go ahead and put this out there.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I think inside the cemetery y'all ought to have some
- 14:14Speaker 1: streets on them, little pathways y'all need streets so people
- 14:18Speaker 1: know where they're going. They could have left right here
- 14:20Speaker 1: and or right right there. You need the streets in
- 14:21Speaker 1: there instead of just just a whole bunch of paths.
- 14:25Speaker 1: You quit burying your people with these post stamps. They're
- 14:28Speaker 1: trying to call it tunes so they can't fund. As
- 14:31Speaker 1: soon as one piece of tall grass grow up. Now
- 14:34Speaker 1: you can't see now, you mad? And everybody that there
- 14:36Speaker 1: well a lot of cemeteries, you know they're flat? Now.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I don't know if you know that somebodym are flat?
- 14:40Speaker 1: They have a lot of them. It's flat. Yeah, the stone,
- 14:48Speaker 1: the stone is flat. It's flat on the ground. How
- 14:50Speaker 1: you gonna find that if the grass grow? Yeah, but
- 14:54Speaker 1: that I caught the grass and keep the ground. Thank you.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You would you would hope you would get a well
- 14:59Speaker 1: groomed cemeter herry. I see right now we're gonna have
- 15:02Speaker 1: some difference of opinions about. Yeah, somebody's getting mad already. Okay,
- 15:11Speaker 1: um um, yeah, couple, how you pick your cemetery? Um,
- 15:15Speaker 1: you gave me the ron directions to my sister's grave.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Let's go cat though, who thank you for? My name
- 15:26Speaker 1: is Frederick Stammond down the Tamera. Let me see she's
- 15:30Speaker 1: any office one moment. It just don't it don't make
- 15:34Speaker 1: sense for the all ago out there, like we didn't
- 15:36Speaker 1: didn't running in the type of problem that Hello, Hello, listen,
- 15:42Speaker 1: my name is Frederick Stammonds. Okay. Now my sisters since
- 15:47Speaker 1: stam is buried out there, okay, and we come out
- 15:50Speaker 1: there last week on Monday to come out there and
- 15:53Speaker 1: pray over the spacewash. Year. Now, you as the one
- 15:57Speaker 1: that told us that it was a few spaces is
- 16:00Speaker 1: away from the mother limb. Now we got out there
- 16:03Speaker 1: and prayed over my suster friends and this barrel and
- 16:06Speaker 1: find out that we were in the wrong space. Then
- 16:09Speaker 1: they say, you was the one that told it to us.
- 16:12Speaker 1: So I don't even know what you're talking about. You
- 16:14Speaker 1: was the one that told us that my suster friend,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I don't give us spaces. I'm in an administrative office.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I don't know why you're working out. All I know
- 16:22Speaker 1: is you was the one that told us this. No, yes,
- 16:26Speaker 1: you did. You was the one that my grandbaby said
- 16:28Speaker 1: that she talked to the woman named Tabor, and you
- 16:31Speaker 1: had us out there standing over some white man's boy
- 16:34Speaker 1: and it water wrong. Out of concert so I can't
- 16:36Speaker 1: tell you we're a space to you. So your granddaughter
- 16:39Speaker 1: lies to you. Ain't nobody LIEDE mean that you had
- 16:42Speaker 1: us out there in the wrong space. I couldn't have
- 16:44Speaker 1: had you in the wrong spaces. I don't even know
- 16:46Speaker 1: the cemeteries, you know what. I must send my grandbaby
- 16:50Speaker 1: up there to talk to you. Okay, I'll be here
- 16:52Speaker 1: to five. You're very mischievous. You know that I'll be
- 16:55Speaker 1: here to five o'clock. You have a good dad, No,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you don't. You hang up this phone on me. You
- 17:00Speaker 1: have a good day. No, I'm not gonna have a
- 17:02Speaker 1: good day. You had me praying over the president's body,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and that was the raw one. And when's in that
- 17:08Speaker 1: praying over this white man's body? It was right? Hello,
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm listening to you. You don't have an apology or nothing,
- 17:18Speaker 1: because I know I didn't tell your granddaughter where a
- 17:21Speaker 1: space was. Then what did you tell them? I don't
- 17:24Speaker 1: even know what your granddaughter is. What do you mean
- 17:27Speaker 1: the Stamon's family, we were not that. I don't know
- 17:29Speaker 1: who the Simmons family is, not Simmon, that Stamons, Stamons.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I don't know a Simon's family. That's what I'm telling you,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'm not a counselor. I don't even deal with family.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Here's what I need you to do. Can you go
- 17:42Speaker 1: out there and pray over myself the body. I don't
- 17:45Speaker 1: know where your sister is buried. It's supposed to have
- 17:47Speaker 1: been six baths away from the mother limb. I don't
- 17:51Speaker 1: are there any faces? Where is it? Where is it?
- 17:57Speaker 1: We was in section two, but it was some white man.
- 17:59Speaker 1: We wasn't that. That wasn't myself the prisence. Okay, I
- 18:03Speaker 1: don't even know who your sister friends is. I do
- 18:07Speaker 1: not even know where section two is. Whoever came into
- 18:11Speaker 1: the cemetery and said that they spoke to me. They
- 18:14Speaker 1: probably did speak to me, and I probably got the
- 18:17Speaker 1: information from a concert, but I never told them exactly
- 18:20Speaker 1: where the spot was. So if they were out there
- 18:22Speaker 1: praying over your sister and they were in the wrong spot,
- 18:25Speaker 1: that's not my problem. That praying over some white man,
- 18:29Speaker 1: That's not my problem, sir. If you gave the wrong spot,
- 18:32Speaker 1: if you gave the wrong information, it is just I
- 18:36Speaker 1: don't give the wrong information. I told them, yes, she's
- 18:39Speaker 1: in section two. I did not physically go out there
- 18:42Speaker 1: and point to the spot to tell them to pray
- 18:44Speaker 1: over that spot. Let me explain what I'm trying to
- 18:47Speaker 1: stop from happening. If my people come out there, it's
- 18:50Speaker 1: gonna be some more bodies getting buried. And I don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: almost nobody to get hurt. I mean, your family can
- 18:55Speaker 1: come up here. It's not gonna be no more bodies
- 18:57Speaker 1: being buried that. What they can do is come up
- 18:59Speaker 1: here writing. You can conversate about this, but it's not
- 19:02Speaker 1: going to be an up world here. I want you
- 19:04Speaker 1: to go out there and you pray over friends and
- 19:06Speaker 1: the body. I'm not going out to pray over nobody's
- 19:09Speaker 1: body now, it's not Remember I didn't tell them the
- 19:14Speaker 1: wrong information. Do you love the Lord? Do you love
- 19:17Speaker 1: the Lord? I dearly do. Then you ought to have
- 19:20Speaker 1: some sympathy. I want you to bow your head right now. No,
- 19:25Speaker 1: I'm going to end this conversation because that all the
- 19:28Speaker 1: work to do. Now they come in and lust to me.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I will be hearing to five o'clock. Can I say
- 19:33Speaker 1: one more thing for you? Going and I'm ending the car. Okay,
- 19:38Speaker 1: this nephew Timmy from the Steve Harvard Morning Show. You
- 19:40Speaker 1: just got prank. Clevid. You are crazy. Your sister to
- 19:53Speaker 1: me because sets your up back and you just got
- 19:57Speaker 1: it baby from nephew Timmy, Well, you was standing your ground.
- 20:03Speaker 1: You liked no this guys, you wouldn't prayed over the
- 20:06Speaker 1: wrong bout it. That don't mean I ain't all right.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Check it out. You gotta tell me one thing. What's
- 20:15Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land? Our stand of
- 20:23Speaker 1: the cemetery. Nephew, thank you? Coming up next, asked the cello.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 20:32Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. In entertainment news,
- 20:35Speaker 1: still trending, Chris Rock fires back at Will Smith during
- 20:38Speaker 1: his Netflix special Selective Outrage, and we'll talk about it
- 20:43Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, but right now it
- 20:45Speaker 1: is time to ask the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey,
- 20:49Speaker 1: r CLO. Raven in Montgomery says, my husband and I
- 20:54Speaker 1: are living apart for a while because he cheated on me.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I found out when I saw a video on his
- 21:00Speaker 1: own and he said he loved her. He says it
- 21:03Speaker 1: was a lie just to get her to sleep with him.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Do you believe it was a lie or the truth? What?
- 21:09Speaker 1: I have no idea. I don't know your husband. I
- 21:13Speaker 1: don't know how, but I can't tell you how many
- 21:16Speaker 1: men have told that lie to sleep with stuff about who.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It is very popular lie. Now, I will say that
- 21:27Speaker 1: I love you. I will admit that. It is one
- 21:30Speaker 1: of the top lines. So he might he might have
- 21:33Speaker 1: not you don't loved her, but did just sleep with?
- 21:37Speaker 1: I mean, you don't say that. If they ask you,

- 22:26Speaker 1: I'm engaged to a man and we had too much
- 22:28Speaker 1: to drink the other night and I got sick. I
- 22:30Speaker 1: urinated on myself in my sleep, and he woke me
- 22:34Speaker 1: up and was mad. I'm thinking he's not good husband material. Now,
- 22:39Speaker 1: how can he get upset over that? I think he
- 22:42Speaker 1: could be thinking you ain't good wife with you you

- 23:49Speaker 1: I'm wrong. I'm with you. I'm drunk. I'm drunk. I'm drunk.
- 23:55Speaker 1: It's wrong. You're a name. So what what do you mean?
- 24:03Speaker 1: So what? Okay, I'll tell you what that I don't

- 24:20Speaker 1: I don't think you should marry a person that ain't
- 24:22Speaker 1: potty train. That's all right, I should take away. Moving
- 24:28Speaker 1: on to Kansas to Baltimore, Kenda says, my husband left
- 24:32Speaker 1: his phone on the bed and went to the kitchen.
- 24:34Speaker 1: He was watching porn and had selected the big girl's category.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I asked him about it, and he admitted that he
- 24:40Speaker 1: loves juicy girls. I'm thin, without breasts or a big butt.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Should I be worried about him seeking that out? Or
- 24:48Speaker 1: isn't just his guilty pleasure? Very? What would be very concerned?
- 24:59Speaker 1: You skinny and got small breast? Later he had porno
- 25:04Speaker 1: looking at thick one, no breast, no but nothing you
- 25:13Speaker 1: need without without im fin without you need because you
- 25:17Speaker 1: need to go heavy on the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
- 25:22Speaker 1: You need to go heavy peanut butter you like I
- 25:28Speaker 1: did when I lived in New York. Get yourself, you
- 25:30Speaker 1: don't need no surgery. Get yourself a peanut butter and
- 25:34Speaker 1: jelly sandwich and a bowl of ice cream every night,
- 25:38Speaker 1: and it goes right to sleep. You'd be good as
- 25:42Speaker 1: being up no time stick them who thin, No matter
- 25:50Speaker 1: what now that ain't gonna really do a lot for
- 25:54Speaker 1: your breath, I've discovered. But you're gonna have had the
- 25:56Speaker 1: rest of you though. Who papapa alble bottomed bagam wanna fight? Yeah?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Go down to Atlanta. Talk to some of those women
- 26:19Speaker 1: down there. M they're working it out all right. Last one, Steve,
- 26:24Speaker 1: last one, This is from Ashland and Saint Paul Ashland says,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I'm thirty two years old and dating a man that
- 26:31Speaker 1: loves to cook, but his cooking is not as good
- 26:34Speaker 1: as he thinks it is. He loves everything spicy and overcooked.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Pasta is always chewy and I can't eat it. Should
- 26:43Speaker 1: I start bringing my own food for our dates? No, no, no,
- 26:48Speaker 1: I don't do that. But we're gonna have to talk
- 26:49Speaker 1: to see. That's that's a secret of people who can't cook.
- 26:52Speaker 1: The spice everything where it just be so much damn
- 26:57Speaker 1: flavor that you don't even know what the basics. No man,
- 27:04Speaker 1: chicken with so much on it you didn't know it
- 27:06Speaker 1: was chicken. You know, sausage with so much on it,
- 27:13Speaker 1: you don't know it's sausage, right, they do that. That's
- 27:17Speaker 1: a major trick of people who can't cook cheese. I'm
- 27:23Speaker 1: gonna tell you something, man. It's a restaurant in La
- 27:26Speaker 1: used to be out I think is the Wild Colodie.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, uh, let me tell you something. Everybody go
- 27:35Speaker 1: there and they say for the drinks. That's but I
- 27:38Speaker 1: don't drink, so that I was in there actually trying
- 27:41Speaker 1: to eat. They put so much damn cheese. Seriously, they
- 27:50Speaker 1: take a bag of that yellow and white cheese and
- 27:55Speaker 1: just put hand fools on top of whatever you are.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I kid you not, man. I ordered three items and
- 28:01Speaker 1: when it all came, all of it looked like cheese. Shirley,
- 28:08Speaker 1: have you seen this place? Yes? It was right down
- 28:10Speaker 1: the street from my house. Yes, man, I'm telling yo. Unbelievable.
- 28:17Speaker 1: So hide everything which drinks is great food disguise. Everything
- 28:23Speaker 1: looked like cheese. Pat Yeah, quickly, how's she going to
- 28:29Speaker 1: tell him? What is she? How's she gonna tell her
- 28:31Speaker 1: what about his food? Baby? You're gonna cook as good
- 28:35Speaker 1: as you think slow down. You're over cooking, Aposta, it's
- 28:38Speaker 1: too much. You got slow down. Thank you, Ciolo. Coming
- 28:42Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, we'll have some
- 28:44Speaker 1: entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening show
- 28:51Speaker 1: still trending Chris Rocks Netflix comedy special Selective Outrage. Almost
- 28:57Speaker 1: one year later, Chris Rock finally address That's the Oscar
- 29:00Speaker 1: slap for the first time. Rock suggested that Will Smith's
- 29:04Speaker 1: respond to his Oscar's joke was more about him being
- 29:07Speaker 1: mad at Jada than him. Rock said, Will Quote practices
- 29:11Speaker 1: selective outrage. Take a listen, Will Smith practices selective outrage.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Practices selective outrage, because everybody knows what happened. Everybody that
- 29:29Speaker 1: really knows knows. I had nothing to do with that.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I didn't have any entanglements. None of us have ever
- 29:36Speaker 1: been interviewed by the person that cheated on us on television.
- 29:42Speaker 1: She heard him way more than he hurt me. Okay, true,
- 29:48Speaker 1: none of us have been interviewed that right there, and
- 29:53Speaker 1: the way he did it with the microphone. So how
- 29:57Speaker 1: you feeling that's sort of crazy? Because that's true, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 1: I mean that, like and like everybody was going, wait
- 30:05Speaker 1: a minute, hold of dog. What you're doing on TV
- 30:07Speaker 1: with this? Yeah, everybody that wasn't a man that I
- 30:11Speaker 1: knew that. I thought that was us therapeutical. Why staying that?
- 30:17Speaker 1: I don't know how that helped the marriage. It had
- 30:21Speaker 1: to be for ratings on a red whatever that is. Yeah,
- 30:27Speaker 1: that's all I could think. It was a horrible moment
- 30:30Speaker 1: for him and I and I know he had to
- 30:33Speaker 1: deeply regret it because the backlash was unbelievable because he
- 30:36Speaker 1: doesn't handle backlash well being well, well Will Smith does
- 30:42Speaker 1: not handle backlash because he's always been like the golden boy.
- 30:46Speaker 1: You know. The backlash from the slap threw him into something.
- 30:49Speaker 1: He wall up in the Tibetan mountains trying to find
- 30:52Speaker 1: himself in a monk's village and everything Will that we thought,
- 30:57Speaker 1: we knew, we've never seen him like that. Well, but
- 31:01Speaker 1: you know, man, like I say, he doesn't handle public outrage, well, well,
- 31:09Speaker 1: he just does it. But what made that night be
- 31:12Speaker 1: the night you decide to last? Yet? Why that night
- 31:14Speaker 1: selective outrage? Because and it was genius what he called it?
- 31:19Speaker 1: Selective outrage? Because but it was, like Chris said, it
- 31:23Speaker 1: was a beat move all the way, because you know,
- 31:27Speaker 1: you can go up there your size versus his highe
- 31:31Speaker 1: slap this man on National TV at an Oscar war.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Sh'll turn around, button your jacket and go sit to
- 31:38Speaker 1: your seat because you knew what nothing gonna happen at
- 31:41Speaker 1: that moment. Because you're a Hollywood dude. You know ain't
- 31:44Speaker 1: nothing gonna happen at that moment. You don't call everybody
- 31:47Speaker 1: off guard. Yeah but okay, so no joke. It was
- 31:53Speaker 1: so unexpected and unreal. But he knew that, and he
- 31:57Speaker 1: selected that moment all of a sudden be a man. Yeah,
- 32:01Speaker 1: you'd have took all this other stuff. But like I
- 32:04Speaker 1: always said, you know you can slap Chris. You didn't
- 32:06Speaker 1: slap the other dude. And that's what Chris said. If
- 32:09Speaker 1: it's been anybody else up there, you wouldn't have walked
- 32:11Speaker 1: up there and slapped him. You knew that, said, he
- 32:13Speaker 1: knew he could whoop me. Yeah, but I took the
- 32:16Speaker 1: slap though, I took him. Yeah, he said he took it, Steve.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Some critics and people on social social media are saying
- 32:24Speaker 1: that Chris Rock should get over the slap. It was
- 32:27Speaker 1: a year ago. Wait a minute, man, I don't know.
- 32:30Speaker 1: People always talking about what somebody to get up. You
- 32:33Speaker 1: get over, Let me slap you and see if you
- 32:35Speaker 1: get over it. Yeah, let's do this live TV and
- 32:38Speaker 1: himI people watching. But comedians always used a platform as therapy. Okay, right, okay,
- 32:48Speaker 1: So he waited till he got a special and he
- 32:52Speaker 1: addressed it. Yeah, and he said everything he wanted to say.
- 32:56Speaker 1: A year later, you can say he should get over
- 32:59Speaker 1: he is over it. Now Here comes to Joe. You
- 33:02Speaker 1: know what you're gonna do is you're gonna make a
- 33:03Speaker 1: fool out of me. Then guess what I'm for the
- 33:07Speaker 1: monetize it and I'm gonna put it in a comedy special.
- 33:12Speaker 1: You want to be you know, you want to be famous? Yeah,
- 33:17Speaker 1: and you want to walk around slapping people consequence free,
- 33:20Speaker 1: Here goes some more consequences. Right when you thank it's old,
- 33:24Speaker 1: Right when you come out and you start speaking about
- 33:26Speaker 1: it for the first time, now here comes me. I'm
- 33:28Speaker 1: gonna speak about it because I might give a damn
- 33:30Speaker 1: what will say when he spoke about it, like, you know,
- 33:33Speaker 1: he wanted to be forgiven. I forgave it, but I
- 33:35Speaker 1: ain't Chris though, Yeah, and before that he loved him,
- 33:41Speaker 1: he did. Yeah, he said he rooted for a Yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: he said that. He talked about you know what I
- 33:47Speaker 1: like he put it in the special though, uncle, you
- 33:49Speaker 1: say that Chris said is in the special said and
- 33:52Speaker 1: I'm making a boatload of money tonight when he said
- 33:57Speaker 1: that I'm making a boathload of money. Yes, because dog,
- 34:02Speaker 1: it's okay, and it's okay. The people who don't understand
- 34:06Speaker 1: what Chris did, it's just, you know, just social media
- 34:09Speaker 1: is so open to people's opinion about stuff. The dude
- 34:14Speaker 1: nailed it. He did it his way. What you mean
- 34:18Speaker 1: he should get over it. He should have never been slapped,
- 34:22Speaker 1: thank you. Where's the outrage? You know? Everybody? It's just
- 34:27Speaker 1: like Chris titled his special selective outragtive because everybody has that.
- 34:33Speaker 1: You get outraged about things that you want to get outraged,
- 34:36Speaker 1: abot and we have selective outrage. So I thought it
- 34:39Speaker 1: was genius the title of it. So you're mad at
- 34:42Speaker 1: him for responding to something that happened to him, But
- 34:44Speaker 1: what about the violence? Talking about selective outrage? When wet
- 34:50Speaker 1: and dinner at night and we see all them sick
- 34:52Speaker 1: puppies coming on TV, that that that need to need
- 34:56Speaker 1: shelter and need money and all like this. Okay, I
- 34:59Speaker 1: got that, no problem with that. But I don't see
- 35:01Speaker 1: no hungry kids on Oh We're gonna save all animal.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I don't hit gonna say the kids they got the
- 35:07Speaker 1: one eight hundred call for Kids commercial worst commercial. Other
- 35:13Speaker 1: people are saying it was genius and it was very funny.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So there you go. It was, and it was it
- 35:19Speaker 1: was coming up with twenty minutes after the hour. I
- 35:22Speaker 1: don't want that song stuck in my head. Kirk Franklin
- 35:26Speaker 1: is trending about classic baby names. Okay, we'll talk about
- 35:30Speaker 1: it right after this cool you're listening show. Kirk Franklin
- 35:37Speaker 1: is trending because he said, bring back classic names to
- 35:41Speaker 1: save the next generation. Now take a listen as Kirk
- 35:44Speaker 1: talks about the birth of his second grandchild. My daughter
- 35:48Speaker 1: just gave birth to my second grandchild, beautiful little girl
- 35:53Speaker 1: named Levi. Levi's beautiful. But I told my daughter that
- 35:58Speaker 1: I think to save the next generation, we need to
- 36:01Speaker 1: go back. We need to go back to real names.
- 36:04Speaker 1: The baby should have been named Betty Phyllis, Geraldine Ruby
- 36:10Speaker 1: c C C C. See we moved too far, you
- 36:13Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. You know, we we we need
- 36:15Speaker 1: some more Charlene's. You know, we've got to take it back.
- 36:19Speaker 1: If we're going to change the world, bring back Johnny
- 36:22Speaker 1: made Janette, Deborah that push, yeah, Doris if one at
- 36:33Speaker 1: a time, Doris Junior, Yeah, will it mate? Yeah? By
- 36:42Speaker 1: Pearl Carolyn, Carolyn Caroly, Yeah, here we go, Sherland. Bring
- 36:55Speaker 1: that's my name? That is my name? Maybe Monica calls me,
- 37:05Speaker 1: Maybel Maybe come on, I got it, I got it?
- 37:11Speaker 1: What Gwen? Nothing like Guen boy shot the world? Missing
- 37:20Speaker 1: Eileen right now, don't sleep on our Eileen's come on, Bernardette, Bernardete, Bernardette,

- 37:57Speaker 1: at plain and simple claw simple? He will go? Marthel
- 38:03Speaker 1: who throw back? Yeah, okay, let me let me stay
- 38:09Speaker 1: in the ends with you. Margaret Mars, Yeah, yeah, come
- 38:15Speaker 1: on another. I had a coul's name, Gladys seventy five,
- 38:21Speaker 1: Gladdus Agnes coming up of thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 38:28Speaker 1: we'll check Steve's voicemail right after this. You're listening Steve
- 38:33Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. It is time now to check Steve's
- 38:38Speaker 1: voicemail and if you'd like to leave a message for Steve,
- 38:41Speaker 1: and I'm sure you do call him eight seven seven
- 38:43Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, you
- 38:46Speaker 1: might just hear your call on the air. Steven's first
- 38:49Speaker 1: one is a relationship question from a caller named Misha. Hello, Steve,
- 38:56Speaker 1: name is Niche now was just calling because I'm in
- 39:01Speaker 1: complicated relationship. I guess you to say, but he just
- 39:06Speaker 1: got out of a relationship like seven months ago, and
- 39:11Speaker 1: he tells me that he wants to be with me,
- 39:14Speaker 1: but he's not ready for a relationship because of the
- 39:17Speaker 1: commitment that will be involved. How do I handle that situation?
- 39:24Speaker 1: Hopeing he should help me? Thank you well, I mean,
- 39:28Speaker 1: you have to just understand simply what a man is
- 39:30Speaker 1: saying when he says that. All he's saying is I'll
- 39:34Speaker 1: sleep with you, but I'm not gonna be with you.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I want you to just understand what that means. I
- 39:43Speaker 1: want to sleep with you, I don't want to be
- 39:47Speaker 1: with you. That's what that means. So it's not complicated.
- 39:52Speaker 1: The complicated part is because you're trying to figure out
- 39:56Speaker 1: how you can get him to be with you when
- 39:59Speaker 1: he says he dun't see that. Now it's complicated when
- 40:04Speaker 1: it's very simple. Uh, Judge told her told me on
- 40:09Speaker 1: my talk show one time. She said her grandmama told her,
- 40:13Speaker 1: don't ever let a man have to tell you twice
- 40:15Speaker 1: he don't want you. Don't let him have to tell
- 40:19Speaker 1: you that twice. Now, so he's told you that, so
- 40:22Speaker 1: why don't you let him go to he get himself
- 40:25Speaker 1: healed and you go on about your bussy because ain't
- 40:28Speaker 1: don't need to to hurt people coming out of this deal.
- 40:31Speaker 1: So if he says he still hurt, what he ain't.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I want you to know that men don't. We ain't hurt,
- 40:37Speaker 1: no seven damn moment. This is a breakup. This wasn't
- 40:41Speaker 1: a damn damn Ain't no man hurt for no seven
- 40:45Speaker 1: damn moment, because how we get over a woman is
- 40:48Speaker 1: with another woman. But that's never gonna change for us.
- 40:51Speaker 1: He ain't know where shattered, so stop believing that he ain't.
- 40:57Speaker 1: You know, that's good, But he sta wanted to sleep
- 41:04Speaker 1: with you, all right? Yeah, there's this is a young
- 41:07Speaker 1: fan of the Morning Show, Jay Steve. I just want
- 41:11Speaker 1: to say that you keep it fresh for young people too,
- 41:14Speaker 1: like people be really shocked that I listen to your
- 41:16Speaker 1: radio station. I don't know why, but I always get
- 41:19Speaker 1: older people. I'm tuning one, and I always get people
- 41:22Speaker 1: that be like, um, oh, you still listen to that?
- 41:25Speaker 1: But I don't know. I feel like your show. I
- 41:27Speaker 1: like it a lot, like it's what's up, Like I'll
- 41:29Speaker 1: be waking as my kids like it. So I don't know.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I love it, so it must you get that for us. Still, Yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 1: but you know what, you know, what has happened to
- 41:40Speaker 1: like morning radio? Morning radio has just happened, just like
- 41:44Speaker 1: it's happened to music. We have these different genres now,
- 41:48Speaker 1: and you feel like, if that's your genre, that's what
- 41:50Speaker 1: you should listen to. Well, we play adult contemporary music.
- 41:54Speaker 1: We say we play urban ac. That's what we play.
- 41:58Speaker 1: And it's not a lot of hip hop going on
- 42:01Speaker 1: over here except on some of the stations. And if
- 42:04Speaker 1: that's what your preface is, you're gonna go over there.
- 42:07Speaker 1: But when it comes to entertainment, value, information and inspiration,
- 42:11Speaker 1: ain't nobody doing what we're doing over here. No damn body,
- 42:16Speaker 1: Cracker pop. I don't care who it is. There is
- 42:19Speaker 1: no radio show funnier than this show, right, here, and
- 42:24Speaker 1: there is no radio show more inspirational or motivational than
- 42:29Speaker 1: it is now. All that radio shows play just as
- 42:31Speaker 1: good as music. Yeah, we all got the same damn music.
- 42:35Speaker 1: But you ain't got me, Tommy and Junior. And then
- 42:38Speaker 1: you ain't got Shirley in college. That's what you ain't got.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Now you're not cracker pop. Now you got that round
- 42:44Speaker 1: all you are. Don't give it. Damn who it is.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I don't care whose show it is. ADI just the
- 42:49Speaker 1: baddest damn radio show on planet Earth. It's number one
- 42:54Speaker 1: if you want to laugh and you want to be
- 42:57Speaker 1: motivated in this spire now if you want to just
- 43:00Speaker 1: shake your ass, can't go somewhere else. Okay, in the morning,
- 43:05Speaker 1: what we do? All right? Thank you for the How
- 43:10Speaker 1: hard it shook anyway it come this far in my
- 43:16Speaker 1: career to be out. Okay, you want to leave a

- 43:32Speaker 1: Show coming up at the top of the hour. About
- 43:37Speaker 1: four minutes after it's my Strawberry letter for today and

- 43:45Speaker 1: find out what yeah, all of that. We'll find out
- 43:50Speaker 1: what it's all about in just a few but right
- 43:52Speaker 1: now it is time for the nephew and today's prank
- 43:55Speaker 1: phone call what you got for his napt The title
- 43:57Speaker 1: is are your lights on? Are your lights on? Yep?
- 44:04Speaker 1: Got dog? Let's go Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach us.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Who's going? They call me? Pepper? I live. I think
- 44:13Speaker 1: I actually live in an apartment behind you. I think
- 44:16Speaker 1: my my apartments are up against each other. But you
- 44:19Speaker 1: are you in Uni? Who want to know? Actually I
- 44:24Speaker 1: want to know. I'm calling you. I got a little
- 44:25Speaker 1: bit of a problem. I actually live in uh which
- 44:29Speaker 1: is the apartment that that's our apartments are back to
- 44:33Speaker 1: back with each other. And I don't even know harm man,
- 44:37Speaker 1: But you are so right? Yes, okay, And here's here's
- 44:41Speaker 1: what's going on. It took me a long time to
- 44:43Speaker 1: figure this out. But when you come home in the
- 44:45Speaker 1: evening and you turn your life down, my my oven
- 44:51Speaker 1: and stove come on, and I'm talking about every out
- 44:55Speaker 1: on my stove is on and burning hot. How do
- 44:59Speaker 1: you know that's the because when I turned my lights home,
- 45:01Speaker 1: I just I mean, I didn't figure that out. It
- 45:03Speaker 1: just seemed like every time, I mean, I hear you
- 45:06Speaker 1: when you close your door, and every evening, I'm like,
- 45:09Speaker 1: why is my oven and my stove coming on? And
- 45:12Speaker 1: I'm talking about my whole kitchen just hunting degrees in there.
- 45:15Speaker 1: But I understove being on like that. Okay, did you
- 45:19Speaker 1: call maintenance? From my understanding, I'm only listen. They're not
- 45:22Speaker 1: gonna get to me for a couple of days now,
- 45:24Speaker 1: So I'm I'm asking you, you're on mind to not
- 45:28Speaker 1: have your lights on until they come. Get this pigs. Okay,
- 45:32Speaker 1: So you asking me not to turn on my lights
- 45:35Speaker 1: for three or four days, and you know, to sit
- 45:37Speaker 1: in the dark. Well, I'm just saying it's it's only
- 45:39Speaker 1: gonna be for a couple of days. I know it's
- 45:40Speaker 1: a little bit of an inconvenience, but I mean, I
- 45:42Speaker 1: can't be over here in the house, you know, damn
- 45:45Speaker 1: about to burn down. Are you listening to what you're saying?
- 45:47Speaker 1: You're asking me to sit in the dark. You know
- 45:49Speaker 1: I got a baby. I can't sit in the dark. Okay,
- 45:52Speaker 1: I mean y'all have any camels or something y'all can
- 45:54Speaker 1: work with or something like that. I have to give
- 45:57Speaker 1: my baby food milk. I mean, really, you want me
- 46:00Speaker 1: to sit in the dark and you don't want me
- 46:02Speaker 1: to turn anything on. You know, I got to feed
- 46:04Speaker 1: my baby. I understand, and and and much respect to
- 46:07Speaker 1: you in your child, much respect. But what I'm trying
- 46:10Speaker 1: to explain to you is, I mean, we have to
- 46:12Speaker 1: look at the bigger hazard here. The bigger hazard is
- 46:15Speaker 1: is that I'm over here with fire on. Okay, First
- 46:18Speaker 1: of all, where you getting this wee from? How am
- 46:20Speaker 1: I involved in your situation? I Am not the one
- 46:23Speaker 1: that's going on house lines patched in some kind of
- 46:26Speaker 1: way to my oven and stove. Okay, but I still
- 46:30Speaker 1: I don't have anything to do with that. You know,
- 46:32Speaker 1: you need to call management whatever. But I don't have
- 46:36Speaker 1: anything tony with that. And I want to know how
- 46:38Speaker 1: do you know when I get home and turn on
- 46:40Speaker 1: my lights? I mean, like, are you looking at my
- 46:42Speaker 1: window or something? Are you a peeping tongs? Do I
- 46:44Speaker 1: need to call nine one one? You don't need to
- 46:46Speaker 1: call nobody on me? Now? What we need to get
- 46:48Speaker 1: somebody over and fix this other in the stove. That's
- 46:51Speaker 1: what we got to get done. But until then, right now,
- 46:54Speaker 1: you can't turn them lights off. Oh, I'm turning on
- 46:57Speaker 1: my life. I mean, I know you ain't trying to
- 47:00Speaker 1: regulate what I do in my house. I'm listen. I'm
- 47:02Speaker 1: gonna tell you, just like this here, I'm gonna need
- 47:05Speaker 1: you to keep them lights off until meeting this get
- 47:07Speaker 1: over here in two days. Now. If if I see
- 47:10Speaker 1: this stove come on and all these our eyes on
- 47:13Speaker 1: this on this stove come on, then I'm gonna come
- 47:17Speaker 1: over there and we're gonna have to directify the problem.
- 47:19Speaker 1: But I cannot have just coming on. I'm not no,
- 47:23Speaker 1: I'm not no, I'm not. I'm telling you not to
- 47:26Speaker 1: turn the lights off. That's what I'm asking you to do. Well,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I can't sit in the dark and I'm gonna turn
- 47:31Speaker 1: on my lights. So you know you're gonna have to
- 47:33Speaker 1: deal with it. No, I'm not gonna deal with it.
- 47:35Speaker 1: You're gonna have to actually turn the lights off. Now,
- 47:37Speaker 1: I understand. Do you have somewhere you can go? Stay me?
- 47:41Speaker 1: Do you have somewhere you can go stay? I'm not
- 47:43Speaker 1: leaving my house. I don't have a problem you and
- 47:45Speaker 1: the one with the problem. I'm not going to leave
- 47:47Speaker 1: here and then you turn it on and then over
- 47:50Speaker 1: here and knock on my door. You think you see
- 47:52Speaker 1: firing your stove, You're gonna see some fire. Can show
- 47:54Speaker 1: you some fire. Okay, listen, I'm trying with as calmly
- 47:57Speaker 1: as I can, trying to work with me. Come okay.
- 48:00Speaker 1: The only thing you're doing right now is you're trying
- 48:02Speaker 1: to tell me what to do and run my household. Okay,
- 48:05Speaker 1: If you're not gonna work with me, then that's what
- 48:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. I already found out where the breaker is.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I just go and just turn all the pow off
- 48:12Speaker 1: so you don't have your powerwall it off. Wait a minute,
- 48:14Speaker 1: what numb You can't turn my break off? Are you crazy?
- 48:18Speaker 1: I got to do what I got to do. I
- 48:19Speaker 1: can't start no far right. You get my phone number anyway?
- 48:23Speaker 1: I mean, how you know my name, my number? Artist?
- 48:26Speaker 1: You know what my about to come home and he's
- 48:28Speaker 1: gonna put the foot up your I don't care if
- 48:30Speaker 1: he put your in the of it and we set
- 48:33Speaker 1: you on fire. What you're talking about, You're gonna damn
- 48:36Speaker 1: turn the break off? Let me. I'm trying to tell
- 48:39Speaker 1: me and prevent a far for the whole complex. And
- 48:41Speaker 1: you're up and you're trying to commit U. This is
- 48:44Speaker 1: like arsen for you to turn that on. I don't
- 48:46Speaker 1: give a you don't want you already got a problem.
- 48:48Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna ask you to the fire. You
- 48:51Speaker 1: call me and again, I want to know how you
- 48:53Speaker 1: got my numbok, I'm nothing to city. Didn't go on
- 48:56Speaker 1: in this little small turn me is that we got
- 48:59Speaker 1: a problem with your switch when you turn it on.
- 49:02Speaker 1: A problem got on the stove problem. It's about to
- 49:06Speaker 1: be a bigger problem when my man come over there
- 49:08Speaker 1: and put a foot up your I don't know who
- 49:10Speaker 1: the you thank you with me, but it's about to
- 49:12Speaker 1: be on. I don't know how you got my number,
- 49:16Speaker 1: but you called the wrong today. Okay, fine, I got
- 49:19Speaker 1: one more pay else. I need to say, tis you listen?
- 49:22Speaker 1: You got to say? Because I'm tired of listening to you?
- 49:24Speaker 1: Are you listening? You ain't saying I wanted here today?
- 49:28Speaker 1: You calling me without this his nephew tire me from
- 49:32Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by
- 49:35Speaker 1: your husband? Are you wait a minute? Hold up? This
- 49:39Speaker 1: is who this is nephew, tire me from the Steve
- 49:44Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Your husband got me the prank phone call?

- 53:04Speaker 1: it could be yours. You never know. Mm buckle up
- 53:08Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 53:09Speaker 1: It is straw Up. Every letter subject busting at the
- 53:13Speaker 1: themes Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a forty two year old
- 53:16Speaker 1: married woman with a blended family with five children total.
- 53:20Speaker 1: My brother in law lives with us and we have
- 53:23Speaker 1: two dogs. My brother in law picked up a straight
- 53:26Speaker 1: cat that lives outside because one of the children is
- 53:29Speaker 1: allergic to it. We have a four bedroom house and
- 53:32Speaker 1: we're doing okay financially, but we are living paycheck to paycheck.
- 53:37Speaker 1: It would be great if my brother in law could
- 53:39Speaker 1: pitch in and help out, but he has some kind
- 53:41Speaker 1: of mental issues that keep him from holding down a job.
- 53:45Speaker 1: I would love to know what's wrong with him since
- 53:47Speaker 1: he's living with us, but my husband says it's a
- 53:50Speaker 1: long standing illness that no one has ever asked him about. Well,
- 53:54Speaker 1: that's just fine and dandy. Let's just hope he keeps
- 53:57Speaker 1: it under control while he's sleeping on our couch. I've
- 54:00Speaker 1: got my hands full with the children, so I don't
- 54:03Speaker 1: need another one to look after. Just when I was
- 54:06Speaker 1: thinking I needed some help to get my business going
- 54:08Speaker 1: on the side, my youngest brother told me he was
- 54:11Speaker 1: moving closer to me. He said that he found an
- 54:13Speaker 1: apartment on a website where three children three people were
- 54:17Speaker 1: looking for one more roommate. I suggested he move in
- 54:20Speaker 1: with us so he can help me start my nail business.
- 54:23Speaker 1: He also works full time and that income would help
- 54:26Speaker 1: us out because Los Angeles is expensive. When I told
- 54:30Speaker 1: my husband that my brother would be moving in, he
- 54:33Speaker 1: shot the idea down before I could finish. I was
- 54:36Speaker 1: so mad I could scream. He said that our house
- 54:39Speaker 1: is already busting at the scenes. I told him his Craig,
- 54:43Speaker 1: craig freeloading brother can lead, And now he's not speaking
- 54:46Speaker 1: to me. How dare he choose his brother over mine?
- 54:49Speaker 1: If we're stacking up people in the house, how does
- 54:52Speaker 1: he choose who gets to stay? Well, he did it
- 54:58Speaker 1: this time, but really he doesn't get to choose because
- 55:01Speaker 1: the house belongs to the both of you. It's our house, okay,
- 55:05Speaker 1: yours and his. I agree. It's a lot of people, animals,
- 55:09Speaker 1: all that in the house, and the only ones that
- 55:11Speaker 1: really should have a free ride are the children are
- 55:13Speaker 1: your children. That's it. Period. You don't even know how
- 55:17Speaker 1: to help your brother in law because they won't tell
- 55:19Speaker 1: you what's wrong. I mean, this whole situation I think
- 55:22Speaker 1: is wrong because you have not been allowed to have
- 55:25Speaker 1: a say about what's going down in your own home.
- 55:29Speaker 1: The time is now though, for you to say something,
- 55:32Speaker 1: I mean a family meeting. Something needs to be called.
- 55:35Speaker 1: You need to let your husband know that your brother
- 55:38Speaker 1: is just as welcome there as his brother is. At
- 55:41Speaker 1: least your brother can help out with some of the
- 55:43Speaker 1: bills and stuff, since you guys said you're living paycheck
- 55:46Speaker 1: to paycheck and your brother is going to help you
- 55:49Speaker 1: with your business a plus. So far it's a win
- 55:52Speaker 1: when if your brother moves in. But having said all
- 55:56Speaker 1: of that, I don't think this is an issue worth
- 56:00Speaker 1: using your marriage over or a big enough problem to
- 56:02Speaker 1: get into a major fight about. I mean it's big though,
- 56:05Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. It's already gotten pretty ugly with
- 56:08Speaker 1: your man not speaking to you now, which is crazy,
- 56:13Speaker 1: But he should have given you the respect and consideration
- 56:16Speaker 1: as a woman of the house. He definitely should have
- 56:18Speaker 1: discussed his brother moving in with you first, and you,
- 56:21Speaker 1: on the other hand, could have just moved in your
- 56:23Speaker 1: brother too, since this is what we're doing. But you
- 56:26Speaker 1: did it the right way and checked with him your
- 56:28Speaker 1: husband beforehand. He shot it down and the house is crowded,
- 56:32Speaker 1: so I just say your brother should go ahead with
- 56:34Speaker 1: his original plan. Move in with those roommates, and you
- 56:37Speaker 1: and your husband need to talk. Let him know how
- 56:39Speaker 1: he made you feel, and he needs to stop that. Steve, Well,
- 56:43Speaker 1: thank you, Shelly, appreciate all that wholesome, all answers you
- 56:47Speaker 1: was given an advice. I ain't got none of that.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Let's just go and get to this letter. This Steven Shelley,
- 56:53Speaker 1: I'm a forty to ye old married woman with a
- 56:56Speaker 1: blended family with five children total mob mother in law
- 57:00Speaker 1: lives with us, and we have two dogs. My brother
- 57:04Speaker 1: in law picked up a straight catain lives outside him
- 57:07Speaker 1: because one of the children is allergic to it. And
- 57:10Speaker 1: we have a faux bed room house. Okay, now let's
- 57:13Speaker 1: do some math. We got five damn kids, we got
- 57:17Speaker 1: two dogs. That's seven. You and your husband that's nine,
- 57:23Speaker 1: Your brother in law ten, and that damn caddy even
- 57:26Speaker 1: bought to the house is ten. That's ten miles. We
- 57:29Speaker 1: feed all this in the faux bed room. I'm just
- 57:32Speaker 1: gonna tell you flash too many damn people to him.
- 57:35Speaker 1: It's too many damn people in him, and let's start
- 57:41Speaker 1: with us. Too many. First of all, his damn brother
- 57:46Speaker 1: in law could pitch in and help, but he got
- 57:50Speaker 1: some kind of mental issues. Now, we got to be
- 57:52Speaker 1: careful here because mental illness is a big thing now,
- 57:56Speaker 1: but it's a whole nother thing that that's on your job.
- 58:01Speaker 1: You got to be careful on your job. I ain't
- 58:04Speaker 1: got to be crazy. I ain't got to be careful
- 58:06Speaker 1: when you're trying to move crazy ass people in my house. See,
- 58:09Speaker 1: because I don't have HR my house. HR is not
- 58:13Speaker 1: at my house. HR is on your job, and you
- 58:17Speaker 1: have to handle mental elius issues very seriously on your job.
- 58:21Speaker 1: We ain't at the job. We at my house and
- 58:24Speaker 1: we don't have hrt my house. So now why is
- 58:27Speaker 1: his nutt ass state? Let's just really talk about that
- 58:30Speaker 1: because we're talking about nut ass person right here, because
- 58:32Speaker 1: you shouldn't have been saying he living with us, and
- 58:35Speaker 1: and and and and and and and and and and
- 58:38Speaker 1: and he got some type of mental issue that where
- 58:40Speaker 1: he can't hold a job. Se HR let him down now.
- 58:44Speaker 1: So he can't hold a job, so HR won't let
- 58:47Speaker 1: him down there but here in the house. And I
- 58:49Speaker 1: love to know what's wrong with him since he lived
- 58:51Speaker 1: with him, But my husband said, it's a long standing
- 58:53Speaker 1: the illness that no one has ever asked him about Well,
- 58:56Speaker 1: let's talk about this. I could help you better if
- 58:59Speaker 1: I knew what the symptoms was. What is his nutted
- 59:04Speaker 1: ass doing? Is he waving that flies in the air
- 59:07Speaker 1: that ain't down? That's what I need to know that.
- 59:10Speaker 1: I need to know. What is he doing? Do he
- 59:12Speaker 1: be talking and bite his tongue all the time? Do
- 59:15Speaker 1: he be sitting up there and all of a sudden
- 59:17Speaker 1: he just pee on his self? I need to know
- 59:19Speaker 1: the symptoms. What is his long standing illness that nobody
- 59:26Speaker 1: talks about. Hold on, Steve, We'll have first two of
- 59:29Speaker 1: yours coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour
- 59:32Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry letter, subject busting out the seams. We'll be
- 59:35Speaker 1: back right after this you're listening show. See, there's just
- 59:41Speaker 1: too many people in this house. I'm just gonna be
- 59:43Speaker 1: real with you. Shelly gave you a lot of solid
- 59:45Speaker 1: advice about your brother and everything. I ain't even got
- 59:47Speaker 1: to that. But let's just go quickly. What we do know.
- 59:50Speaker 1: It's um five kids at the house. You got five
- 59:54Speaker 1: blended fam You got five kids. You got you and
- 59:57Speaker 1: your husband. That's two. You got two dogs. That's seven,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: that's nine. You got your brother in law ten he
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: nutting and he didn't bought a damn straight cat home.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: He can't take care of his own ass. Now he
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: bringing other animals in the house. That it is lunatic.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: What we don't even know what's wrong with him because
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: he has your brother, your husband say he got a
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: long stand in the illness, but don't nobody what it is.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I can help you if I knew the symptoms. Like example,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I said, if he's like swatting that flies in the air,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: that ain't there, I would need to know that. You know,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: do he reach up under the sink and just stop
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: eating a sponge? Did he do that as he's setting
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: up again the wonder and he barking at dogs going back?
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: How do he do that? What? What level of nutting?
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Are we talking about it? And see I can talk
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: about this even though you said mental illness in your letter,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: that's mental illness down at a job with h R.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: When it's when it's not that your job is not
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: mental illness. It's his ass crazy. It's something wrong with him.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: He looted, He ain't wrapped right. He touched. He touched
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: and it's not by an angel. He's touched. He's slipping
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: off you got everybody got touched. People in their family
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: car sitting stay out in the car all day, just
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: come in that night, act like he's driving. I had
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: an uncle just set behind the wheel of a car
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: all day long and then bringing another ass in there
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: for dinner and then go to sleep. I didn't have
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: people that say it. Now, you want to ask him
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: what's wrong. But he got a long standing illness. Don't
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: nobody know nothing about it. There's too many people in
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: the house. And then you want to hope he keep
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: it under control while he's sleeping on yall couch. He
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: on the couch because you got five kids, you and
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: your husband and him, and you got a faux bed
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: room house. You say, y'all doing okay, but y'all living
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: check and check, and then you're so you don't need
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: another one to look out. Just what I was thinking,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I needed some help to get my business going. On
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the side, my younger brother told me he was moving
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: closer to me. He said he found the department on
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the website where three people were looking for one more roommate.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I suggested he moved away with us so he can
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: step mep me help me start my nail business. You
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: can't start no nail business. You can't start no nail business.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Why not in that little crowded ass house. And then
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: you need your brother to come and to help you
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: financially where he gonna stay, your brother in law already
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: on the couch, where as you're fitting to put a
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: manicure and pedocure staying at in that crowded ass howse
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now, you're gonna lose customer
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: soon at one of them damn dogs jump in that
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: pedocut water. Ain't nobody gonna want to put their feet
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: in that in see wants you to have had dogs
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: playing in the water. People don't want your little nail fly.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: You don't have room in your house for no damn
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: nail salt. Why are you thinking of opening a business
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: when all you really got room for and said help
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: the judicial site. You're gonna open up your house as
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: a jail seal and keep people in there that's on
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: the house arrests. You do stuff like that because they
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: used to cry the ass conditions. But you can't have
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: people come up where you're gonna do the nails that
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: out on the porch. She said she was gonna open
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: it up in the house where she where's she gonna
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: She ain't got no money for all, and she can't
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: go get no stove. She just said her brother was
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: gonna come down that help her with the nails and
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: chip in with the rent. Now, then you told that
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: to your husband. Your husband don't want your brother in there.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: He put his foot down now. But his damn brother
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: in there laying on the couch, ain't making a quarter
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: because he can't work, because he got some mental issue.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: What is wrong with him? If the people let your
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: job don't want him, why I got to want him.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now. If somebody in the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: employment world don't, won't you, I don't. I'm not giving
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you the couch or nothing. Where y'all watch TV at
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: he in that laying on the damn couch, the kids
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: in there laying on Uncle Rogers with his fat ass
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: set up in hire and heat. Now you can't find
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: one of the kids. You don't know if his answers
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: ain't one of these babies, and what you don't know
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: what his illness is now here in that cooking and
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: you can't find the cat. You gotta get his ass
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: out of there because you don't know what his illness is.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Why is this dog limping like that? Well? What is
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: that here in that cooking? Can? You need to find
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: out what is wrong with his nutty ass before you
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: start inviting. Now your brother, let me tell you something.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: You ain't got nowhere for your brother to sleep. The
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: only thing I can do is hire your brother. I say,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: let your brother come on in that. Hell damn what
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: your husband mad about it? I say, let your brother
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: come on in there, and his ass sleep on the
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: couch with the brother in law. That way he can
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: watch his ass, because somebody got watch his crazy ass anyway.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: And if your brother got good sense, now, ain't nobody
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: gonna be laying down. But you can sleep sitting up.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I said, I lived in't cough through you. You can
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: sleep sitting up because because when you tied, your asses tied.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: But you hire your brother in law, you hire your
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: brother to watch your brother in law. For people start
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: missing in that house because they still don't know what's
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: wrong with it. So what we've come to conclusion in
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: this house, it's two minute damn people in here. And
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the last thing you need to bring in here, there's
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: some damn customers trying to get their damn hands and
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: nails done because there ain't no where to sit. They ask,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you can't put it kitchen. Y'all gonna be doing nails
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: all on the back porch, sitting on steps, and don't nobody,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: nobody's coming back over here. You gotta to do had
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: You got to do hands for two dollars and feet
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: for two dollars. That's the only way you're gonna after
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: weank Junior and sports talk. Right after you're listening to
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show, it is time now for
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: junior and sports talk. Junior, what you got? All right?
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Let me give him get some great news to Tommy
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Man at the NFL Combined. Man, you're running back out

- 1:06:07Speaker 1: let me just blow your mind out of that hu
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: DJ turning a cornerback out of Michigan rand of foe
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: two six. That was the best fo two two six.

- 1:06:42Speaker 1: gonna be out four whiles. Put it like this, some
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: more incidents have surface with him and gun the Mogue
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: not fit to do this. Listen to me, young people
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: that's listening to this show. You can't let them care
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: about their brand more than you care about Joper. Yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: he has no business nowhere with the guns. Yeah, you
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: are mult time millionaire money. They give these guys so
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: much money and they just yeah, it's just because you
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: know what it is. They keep listening to that thing.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Keep it real. I keep telling y'all, when God take
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: you places, you can't keep it real. You got to
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: keep it moving. He took you to the top, not them.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: That's the problem. Like Jamie Foxx said about being on top.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Problem with the why so lonely at the top because
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: you can't take nobody with you. So now instead of
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: being able to take somebody with you. They hold you
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: with them, talking about you gotta keep it real now
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: your ass doing ghetto and hood related mess and you
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: got millions. You stupid. I don't feel sorry for him
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: at all because this is stupid. What is it old?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: This mental illness too. It's a bad decision. Yeah, he
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: was under privilege, and you don't know what he's like
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: coming from the hood. Yes we do, Yeah, yes we do.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: We got our shirt own. It ain't got no good either. Yeah,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: all right, junior, thank you. I'm sure you're going to
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: be following that story coming up at the top of
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: the hour. This woman in social media Steve needs some
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: advice about being surrounded by negativity. We'll talk about it
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Steve Sherry on Facebook says, I try to stay positive,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: but nearly everyone in my circle is just negative most
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: of the time. I don't want to be petty, but
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: I feel like I need to kick ninety percent of
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: my friends and half of my family to the curb
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: if I want to stand a chance of being successful
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: and happy with my life. Is it wrong of me
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: to want to stay away from the people in my
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: life who are negative. Should I find some more upbeat friends.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: The best quote I've heard that has helped me out
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: is that you're the smartest person in your group. You
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: need a new group. You cannot be that person if
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: you are surrounded by negative people. You have to remove yourself.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Stop being loyal to things that are not good for you. Yeah,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: if you're loyal to things that are not good for you,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: stop being loyal to them. Those people are not here. Look, man,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: if you have people in your life that bring nothing
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: to the table itself, extract You got a good idea,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: they shoot it down. You want to do something positive,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: they won't do something negative. You in here talking about
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: great things to day. They want to gossip. You're talking
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: about saving money. They want to buy a new bag.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: You gotta get another group of friends. Are people out
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: there who think like you? Go on Facebook? People do
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: it all the time. It's group. Get in chat groups,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: make some new friends, and stop allowing your friends to
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: hold you to their setup standards because their setup standards
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: are not your setup standards. The biggest problem we got
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: amongst ourselves is when our people who we grew up
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: with or hung out with see you moving forward, and
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: then say these words to you. Oh man, hey, man,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: you need to keep it real. Keep it real means
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: stay right here with us and be with us and
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: don't leave us. And if you do, go somewhere, take us.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: That's what that means. I've heard it a million times. Man,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: you need to keep it real. They want you to
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to stay here with us, go down with us, or
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: take us with you. That's how you keep it real.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: And I tell people all the time, when God elevates you,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: he elevates you for the purpose of elevating you. If
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: he'd wanted to elevate them, if they will qualify to
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: be on the level He's taken you too, they would
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: be there. But there are people on that level already.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: When you get to that level, it's somebody they're already.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Go meet them. You bet you better. This is so
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: dangle dono, but bring you down. That's all they go through.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Grant rant, Are you listening? Wow? All right, I think
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: we have time for one more Steve. This is from
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Lisa on Steve HARVEYFM. Lisa writes, I have an interview
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: for my dream job next week. I've had lots of
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: jobs and I've had interviewed for a number of them,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: but I never cared more about getting a job than
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I have about this one. I'm freaking out and need
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: some advice and how to avoid crashing and burning in
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: my interview. Uncle Steve, you're very successful. How do I
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: calm down and go into this with a better chance
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: of getting the job? First of all, well, okay, let
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: me hit you with a couple of things. Now this
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: is gonna be very simple, but I have to learn
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: this myself. The Bible says be anxious for nothing. Be
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: anxious for nothing. What that allows you to do is
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: prayed by it before you go in there and ask
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: God to allow you to be who he created you
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: to be. Like before I go out on stage, I
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: always say God, please let the gift that you've given
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: me shine through brightly as a reflection as to how
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: you wanted to shine. And then I walk out there,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: go into these interviews saying, God help me. If this
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: is for me, I want you to help me shine.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: But either way, let me be the best version of
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: me that I can be and take a deep breath
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: and going in there. Because here's a deal. They really
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: don't have the power roll it. The decision really is God,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: and when you don't get something, it may be best
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: for you. I drove away. I'll tell you this when
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I come back. All Right, We'll have more of the
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at about twenty minutes
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: after the hour. Right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. This story right here made me sick.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Representative Paul Scharrell, a white Tennessee Republican lawmaker, has apologized
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: after asking if hanging by a tree hanging by a
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: tree could be added to the state's execution methods, a
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: comment that has shocked black lawmakers, who point to the
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: state's dark history of lynching. Of course, Representative Paul Sharrell
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: first made the remark last week as another lawmaker was
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: introducing legislation to include the firing squad to execute death
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: row inmates. Sharrell apology read, in part quote, my intention
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: was to express my supportive families who often wait decades
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: for justice. I sincerely apologize to anyone who may have
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: been hurt or offended. What what's going on and test
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: that tree with you? Paul. Let's start with you. How
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: about that? I mean, well, the problem with that whole
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: thing is if you want to bring back lynching. The
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: only people that we can recall being lynched, a thank you.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: All the lynches we hadn't heard about in the nineteen
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: twentieth century is all black people. So all you said
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: to us was this straight? So why, ye added Paul,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: why don't you just bring back cotton picking? Oh? Hold on,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: how about it? Wait a minute, you don't lynchings too much?
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Why don't we bring back floggy? Which which one of
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: them would be? I don't know who? More though, I
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: don't know who the hell? All right, they're gonna be
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: up us, not be us coming up a thirty three
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: minutes after, we'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: and we'll play a round of would you rather? Right
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. It
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: is time now for a round of would you rather?
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Would you rather have a bottomless bag of money or
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: an unlimited supply of sex? Let's just get it started, Hey,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: all right, hey, and then be with yeah by b
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: is an automatic With a yeah, I'll say you want
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: the money, taking the bag? I don't care about no sex.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Look at this dog, I'll take this money you had
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: a hell of run. Hello, run, I got enough memories
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: to hold me. Hell I didn't have sex with that money.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: All about the Benjamin? Okay, all right? Would you rather
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: have your partner cheat on you several times and never
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: find out, or cheat on your partner and have to confess? Yes?
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I don't like this question because me alone just popped
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: in my mind. I swear to God, Oh that's not
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: your partner, but I have to confess it real stone though, confess. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Either your partner's cheating on you, or you're cheating and
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: have to and you don't know it. Yeah, your partner's
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: cheating on you, you never find out. Yeah, but you
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: cheating on your partner and have to confess. You would confess?
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Confess there's nothing, there's nothing in your verbal wheel, volunteer,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: define information. I've been down to the police station, did
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: it and did it and did not confess. So you
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: wouldn't confess to an entanglement what you understand? Would you
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: rather question? I don't even understand. That doesn't make any
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: sense to me. Go ahead next week, you man, all right?
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Would you rather have to relive the same day over
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: and over again for a period of one year, or
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: have three years taken from your life. M No, I'm
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna do ay. We're just gonna be stuck
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: in that day for a year. I just hope it's
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: a good day, A good day. I got a day
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I can do. I'll tell you what day it won't be,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: though I know what day. It won't be one of
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: them days I was in court. We ain't doing that.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: All right, that's today's rounded, would you rather? Guy? Going
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: up with forty nine minutes after the hour? It is
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: our last break of the day. We'll close out the
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: show with Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening. She's
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, here we
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: are our last break of the day. It's been a
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: good Tuesday, so far, so good this week. Yes Tuesday, yep, hey, Steve. Earlier,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: we had this question from Lisa off of Steve Harvey FM,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: and she said that she had an interview for her
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: dream job and it's coming up next week. And she's
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: had lots of jobs. She's interviewed for a number of jobs,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: but she's never cared more about getting a job than
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: she does about this one. All right, She says she's
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: freaking out. She needs some advice on how to avoid
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: crashing and burning in her interview, and she looks to
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: you because you're very successful. She wants to know how
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to calm down and how to go into this job
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: interview with a better chance of getting the job. Well,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: let me say this like I was saying, and these
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: are my closing remarks too. I'm gonna use this to
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: share some information that first of all, the Bible says
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: be anxious for nothing. And it took me a long
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: time to figure out what that meant and what I
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: learned about it was it was mostly me wanting something
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: that I wanted so badly that it would cause me
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: to have anxiety over it, or wor should hope for
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: it so bad almost putting up. If I don't get this,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm gonna do, or if this
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: don't happen, then what will I do? And I became
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: anxious about it. What I've learned over the years is
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: to be anxious for nothing. Now I have to remind
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: myself of this often, Trust me, I do, because every
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: now and then I get anxious for something to happen,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: and I'll have to remember my own words. But my
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: suggestion to you is to pray about it and then
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: walk into that interview and say, if it's the will
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: of God, if this is meant to be, it's gonna be.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: If it's meant to be, it's gonna be. See if
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: it's meant to be. No matter how the interview go,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: you're gonna get the job because God will fix it
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: that way. See, you don't have to be perfect for
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: God to bless you. A matter of fact, God shows
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: up in some of the most other moments when you
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: at your weakest. That's when you really find out how
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: God is or how good he is. Our Magnificent is
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: in moments of weakness, when you have nothing left except Him.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: And so I've learned that over the years. So if
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: I were you to go into the job, I would
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: just pray about it and say, God, if it's your will,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: and then relax because if God got something for you,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: it doesn't matter what the interview will say. If God
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: say the job is yours, it's gonna be yours. But
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: you gotta gotta stop being anxious for something. I'm gonna
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: tell you a true story before I got into comedy.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: The last job I had. I was selling life insurance
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: for Commonwealth. Commonwealth is a debit company, and I'd been
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: doing it for a while. But I had a partner,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: my best friend, Ricardo. He worked for All States. As
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: a matter of fact that he's got three four offices
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: up in Cleveland now, very very successful. Dude. Man, my
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: best friend grew up, grew up on the block with me.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: We went to junior high, elementary, high school, and college together.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: We all cused everything, wese roommates, we just been together
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: a whole life. At one time, I thought, I said, man,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I worked for a debit company meeting. I went door
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: to door to collect your premiums like the old insurance
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: men used to do. And Ricardo had this great job,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: and I told him, man, I wished I worked at Austin.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: So he started helping me, and he got me these interviews,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: and I got all the way to my fourth interview,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: and I said, man, my life into change. I'm going
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: to be an All State agent. This is the one
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: that's gonna set me up. And I drove my nineteen
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: sent me too Chevy to the interview and there was
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: a man named mister Foster. I wish I could find him.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: His name was mister Foster, and I went up there
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: and I got the interview, and I thought I nailed it.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: And he said, well, you're not a good candidate here
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: at All State because you've moved too many times in
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: the past four years and that Jess just doesn't show
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: the type of stability that we're looking for here at
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: All State. I'm sorry. I got in my car and
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: I drove off, and I looped around on the freeway.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: And as I was driving down the freeway, I could
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: look over and I could see the big All States
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: signed at All State Insurance. And I saw that sign
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: and I broke down in tears. I was crying because man,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I had all my everything based on that job at
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: All State. Man if I had got that job, I
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: could change my life, for my family and everything. One
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: week later, and it was the most miserable week of
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: misery and regret. One week later, I walked in a
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: comedy club one amateur night, one fifty dollars, went to
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: work the next day and quit my job. Today I'm
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: on the radio. Today, I'm in television. I've done movies.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I've been one of the major stand ups in the country.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: During a period I've lived a life far beyond my dreams.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: I've traveled around the world. I've made unthinkable money that
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I never saw myself making. I've met presidents of nations.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I've set with the President of the United States, the
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: President of Botswanta, the President of god, President of South Africa,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: the president of the UAE. I met with dignitaries and everything.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: If I had got that job at all States, I'd
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: have never went to the comedy club. I'd have never
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: won fifty dollars. I would have missed all these incredible
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: things that God has for me. And I admire my
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: friends who are retiring today, but I would have missed
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: this that God had for me. I think what He
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: had for me was better than what I had planned
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: for me. Those are my closing remarks today, y'all. Being
