- 0:20Speaker 1: true good often together for stay, I don't joining me.

- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out? Turn? You got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out. Turn the water the water got me? Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby, huh. I show will a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. Y'all listening to the voice, come on, dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now wanted only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 1: here we go. I was working out. I was talking
- 2:18Speaker 1: to a buddy of mine, and I was telling him
- 2:21Speaker 1: something that Bishop T. D. Jake's told me one time.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I heard him say it. He said, oh, I would
- 2:29Speaker 1: hate to die and not do the thing that I
- 2:34Speaker 1: was born to do. I would hate to die and
- 2:40Speaker 1: not do the thing that I was born to do. Man,
- 2:46Speaker 1: oh man, oh man, man. That hit me like a
- 2:49Speaker 1: like a like a pile of bricks man, because it
- 2:53Speaker 1: made me feel so grateful that God has allowed me
- 3:00Speaker 1: to live my life this way now. And I'm talking
- 3:05Speaker 1: about grateful for all of it, the good, the bad,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and the ugly, and I have had all of them.
- 3:14Speaker 1: The person you see today it ain't always who I was.
- 3:19Speaker 1: It was on the inside of me, but it hadn't
- 3:21Speaker 1: externalized itself, if that's a word. It hadn't been brought out.
- 3:26Speaker 1: It was in hell, but it was under development. Who
- 3:31Speaker 1: I am today was a process. But like I said before,
- 3:37Speaker 1: don't trip hem through with me yet. Even today, I'm
- 3:43Speaker 1: still an imperfect soldier for Christ. Today I still fall
- 3:49Speaker 1: short oftentimes, but I'll tell you what, I'm ever grateful
- 3:56Speaker 1: for the life I have. And you know what, I
- 3:59Speaker 1: want to encourage everybody today to explore your possibilities. I mean, man,
- 4:08Speaker 1: explore your possibilities. Why would you not want to find out, discover,
- 4:18Speaker 1: or know what it is God got for you? Why
- 4:24Speaker 1: would you not want to achieve or accomplish all of
- 4:28Speaker 1: your possibilities? Now, as I ask you this question, I
- 4:32Speaker 1: want you to know that the devil is busy, that
- 4:35Speaker 1: he plays mind tricks. So as you hear this, I
- 4:38Speaker 1: already know he's saying to some of y'all, Yeah, Steve,
- 4:42Speaker 1: that's easy for you to say, But I didn't get
- 4:44Speaker 1: myself in this situation right here. Ain't nothing too hard
- 4:48Speaker 1: for God, nothing, nothing and see, So as you listen
- 4:55Speaker 1: to me to try to get your mind open to this.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Why would you not want to explore all of your
- 5:03Speaker 1: life's possibilities, what's possible with your life? And I'm talking
- 5:08Speaker 1: about from right where you are right now. I'm not
- 5:12Speaker 1: asking you to change, I'm not asking you to do anything.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm telling you this is a fact that God can
- 5:19Speaker 1: get you from right where you are right now. Broken, misled, misguided, misunderstood, mistaken,
- 5:34Speaker 1: all of that, misfortunate, all of the missus you've been
- 5:39Speaker 1: talking about in your life. You know you I missed
- 5:42Speaker 1: a lottery, I missed my ride. They fined men, I
- 5:47Speaker 1: missed the deadline. I didn't get it. Miss people. People
- 5:51Speaker 1: just miss stay self to death. If you've been all
- 5:55Speaker 1: in missus, God can get you from right where you are.
- 6:00Speaker 1: God a home run hitter. I'm here to tell you
- 6:02Speaker 1: that he's a home run hitter. He's a put him
- 6:04Speaker 1: over the wall whenever he wants to, all the time.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And you can be a recipient of some of these
- 6:10Speaker 1: home runs. He'll put the bat in your hand. But
- 6:12Speaker 1: you got to sway now, listen to me. You got
- 6:15Speaker 1: to stop feeling sorry for yourself. You got to stop
- 6:19Speaker 1: holding yourself down with beating yourself up. He won't hold
- 6:22Speaker 1: you down about it if you don't hold yourself down
- 6:25Speaker 1: about it. But I'm gonna tell you one more time.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The devil is busy. So what the devil do is
- 6:30Speaker 1: he makes you think you ain't worthy. He makes you
- 6:32Speaker 1: think that you've done something so despicable that you can't
- 6:35Speaker 1: come back from it. He makes you feel like you're
- 6:38Speaker 1: so low you can't go up high. He knocked you
- 6:41Speaker 1: down and make you feel like you've been knocked down
- 6:42Speaker 1: harder than anybody else. You can't get up. He rolled
- 6:45Speaker 1: you so deep down in that ditch you can't see
- 6:47Speaker 1: over the edge. God can come get you from no
- 6:51Speaker 1: matter where you are. I'm telling you, man, you ain't
- 6:55Speaker 1: in no hole too deep for God. Magic Johnson to
- 6:59Speaker 1: tell you that. Listen to me. You ain't in no
- 7:01Speaker 1: hole too deep for God. Steve Harvey can tell you
- 7:04Speaker 1: that you ain't in a hole too deep for God.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Tyler Perry can tell you that. I can name you
- 7:11Speaker 1: some people. Bishop Jake can tell you that. I could
- 7:14Speaker 1: tell you. Kenneth Alma can tell you that. Bishop Kenneth Olman,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I could tell you some people Kirk Franklin can tell
- 7:19Speaker 1: you that. Donnie mcclarkton can tell you that. I just
- 7:22Speaker 1: know some people personally man that they've been in a hole.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Joel Oldstein can tell you about it. I know some
- 7:29Speaker 1: people man been down, been in a hole so deep.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I bet you. Paula Deane can tell you about it. See.
- 7:37Speaker 1: But but you know what, then here we go, see
- 7:39Speaker 1: we see see you know, see we don't we don't
- 7:43Speaker 1: like to talk about that because now we want everybody
- 7:45Speaker 1: to pay extra hard for some mistakes they made when
- 7:49Speaker 1: clearly and excuse me for being a new Christian, but
- 7:52Speaker 1: there is a PRAYD that I've been saying since I
- 7:54Speaker 1: was a little bitty boy, and it took me till
- 7:56Speaker 1: I was a grown man to understand it. Forgive us
- 7:59Speaker 1: our trust pass as we forgive those who trust passed
- 8:02Speaker 1: against us. So see, it ain't my job to hold
- 8:05Speaker 1: nobody down, to keep my knee on somebody's neck. Who
- 8:09Speaker 1: am I I'm gonna need some forgiveness in a second here,
- 8:12Speaker 1: probably today. See so all this, you're holding people down
- 8:17Speaker 1: with the way you feeling bout the man. She shouldn't
- 8:20Speaker 1: have said this, and she will never get it. I
- 8:21Speaker 1: never support this again. Man, get up, get up and
- 8:25Speaker 1: get real. You're for real. You think you ain't fit
- 8:27Speaker 1: the need forgiveness? Real soon you ain't finn to make
- 8:30Speaker 1: a diabolical mistake in your life. You don't think you are.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I have thousands of them, probably gonna make a few
- 8:36Speaker 1: hundred more for I get up out of here. So
- 8:39Speaker 1: I've decided to be in a forgiving business because I
- 8:43Speaker 1: want God to forgive my trust passes as I forgive
- 8:47Speaker 1: those who trust passed against me. You understand. See excuse
- 8:51Speaker 1: me for being a new Christian. I get I get
- 8:54Speaker 1: tired of talking to piston, to people man supposed to
- 8:57Speaker 1: be saved and talking about their christian I don't want
- 8:59Speaker 1: that type of legion. Man. I ain't in that no more.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I ain't in that. You can call me wrong if
- 9:03Speaker 1: you want to saying how you want to say. I
- 9:05Speaker 1: ain't in that no more. I ain't in all that.
- 9:06Speaker 1: You can feel how you want to feel about me.
- 9:08Speaker 1: But I got proof that God work in my life.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You know, I can't hardly get it out Sometime when
- 9:13Speaker 1: people ask me something about deeper on the inside of me,
- 9:16Speaker 1: about my soul and how I used to being and
- 9:19Speaker 1: my journey and my trip because people don't know the
- 9:21Speaker 1: trip I've been on. You ain't been on one worse
- 9:23Speaker 1: than me. But you know what, you ain't in a
- 9:25Speaker 1: hole too deep. God can't get you out of. Man.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I wish, I want. I want people to remember that man,
- 9:31Speaker 1: God is a redeemer, He the great I am. So
- 9:35Speaker 1: if you ain't got nothing, now what you asking for?
- 9:38Speaker 1: You know you might not have nothing because you ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: asking for nothing. Could asking God to get you out
- 9:43Speaker 1: of debt and ask God for a life of abundance.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Then you take the money and you get out of debt.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You keep asking to get out of debt, you keep
- 9:49Speaker 1: being in debt to get out of Come on, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: what you're asking God? Fault? I'm just tripping today, that's all.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I apologize. You're listening. Morning, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It is here, another fantastic day, another opportunity to God
- 10:08Speaker 1: has provided. We are all here. We have a measure
- 10:11Speaker 1: of health. We are in the land of the living,
- 10:14Speaker 1: and we are available for what's about to occur today. Now.
- 10:18Speaker 1: If that ain't a blessing, I don't know what is.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Please tell God thank you for the so many things

- 21:31Speaker 1: I was sitting on the couch with my husband and
- 21:33Speaker 1: his phone rang. I saw my hairstylist name pop up.
- 21:37Speaker 1: They talked, and he set himself an appointment to get
- 21:40Speaker 1: his hair braided. I didn't even know he was my style.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I didn't even know he knew my stylist. Shouldn't he
- 21:47Speaker 1: have mentioned this to me first? Shouldn't he have asked
- 21:50Speaker 1: me to make his hair appointment? Shouldn't he have Well,
- 21:56Speaker 1: if he's sitting on the couch and it rings and
- 22:00Speaker 1: he answers it right there, then there's nothing to worry about. See,
- 22:07Speaker 1: it's when they got to get up, when they well,
- 22:09Speaker 1: he's a dead sign. Is something wrong? If your husband's
- 22:13Speaker 1: phone rang, and it and it and it rings, and
- 22:17Speaker 1: he picks it up and throws it through the TV,
- 22:20Speaker 1: there's a probably a dead sign that something's going on.
- 22:24Speaker 1: You know. If his phone rings and he starts stomping
- 22:28Speaker 1: it caused the sound of the ring toned and got
- 22:32Speaker 1: on his nerve, there's something going on. But if he
- 22:35Speaker 1: just answers the phone, I think it's y'all think it's okay.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I don't know if he should have. You know he
- 22:42Speaker 1: got your hairstyleis number he knows. You know he going
- 22:46Speaker 1: down and get his hand raised out. You know that's
- 22:48Speaker 1: all it is to me? All right? All right, um, Katrina,
- 22:55Speaker 1: and Savannah says, my boyfriend just got divorced, and I
- 22:58Speaker 1: let him stay with me temporarily. I don't want him
- 23:01Speaker 1: to get too comfy at my house, but I'm catering
- 23:03Speaker 1: to him because I want to show him I'm a
- 23:06Speaker 1: good woman that can cook. How do I make this
- 23:08Speaker 1: situation work? I don't know, and stoy sorry and stop
- 23:14Speaker 1: cooking that Jesus, I don't. I don't start it. Yeah, see, Katrina,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know what your aim is. You
- 23:24Speaker 1: don't want him to get comfortable, but you want to
- 23:26Speaker 1: show him that you can cook. Take some food over
- 23:31Speaker 1: his house. You know, he don't have to stay there
- 23:35Speaker 1: for you to show him how to cook. But he
- 23:38Speaker 1: said she's he's moved in with her because they just
- 23:41Speaker 1: got the divorce. Well, you play it how. I don't
- 23:44Speaker 1: know what to tell you. Contrina. You play in the house,
- 23:46Speaker 1: you can't play house and then don't want to play house.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You want him to stay there, don't cook for him.
- 23:52Speaker 1: If you want to cook for him, don't let him
- 23:54Speaker 1: stay there. But no, you agree with me. Stop cooking? Yes,
- 24:00Speaker 1: not you, though. We can't take that from you. Yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 1: shut all that down, Catria, stop cooking and can't cook.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Stopping can't is two different things. Moving on to Jillian
- 24:14Speaker 1: and moths Point, Jillian writes, I'm a forty three year
- 24:16Speaker 1: old married woman and I've been sneaking around to talk
- 24:19Speaker 1: to a man from my past. It's a great feeling
- 24:22Speaker 1: to see him and catch up with him. I'm not
- 24:24Speaker 1: lusting after this man at all, but I know my
- 24:27Speaker 1: husband won't see it that way. Should I tell my
- 24:29Speaker 1: husband about my old friend I connected with or not?
- 24:32Speaker 1: You don't mess get both of y'all kids. Yes, and
- 24:36Speaker 1: this and this Mississippi man you down in Moss Point.
- 24:39Speaker 1: That's Mississippi, and that's straight off to ten. I know
- 24:42Speaker 1: where that is. You know now you're probably meeting him
- 24:45Speaker 1: over there at the Bowl Rivage or whatever that casino
- 24:47Speaker 1: we are down there by the Gulf and all that here.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Y'all think that's cute and and that's a lie. You're
- 24:54Speaker 1: not lusting after him. Because you are. That's the enjoyable part.
- 24:59Speaker 1: You enjoying hook up with him. He's from your path
- 25:01Speaker 1: if you ain't lusted after him. I promise you he
- 25:04Speaker 1: lusted after you and you lusted after him. So you
- 25:08Speaker 1: can say that. Come and saying, I don't know who
- 25:09Speaker 1: you thought you was writing this one end too. So
- 25:11Speaker 1: come on, Jilly, and you're playing with five? And should
- 25:14Speaker 1: you tell your husband? Hell no, stop sneaking. Honest, you
- 25:21Speaker 1: just saying I'm sneaking. Now you want to tell him
- 25:26Speaker 1: you sneaking? You're gonna mess around and get that man
- 25:28Speaker 1: snook up up on. Yeah, not a good look, Jillian,
- 25:36Speaker 1: Not a good look? All right? Um Rita in Texas,
- 25:41Speaker 1: Clo says, my boyfriend and I have lived together. Yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: Rita right in Texas. My boyfriend and I have lived
- 25:49Speaker 1: together for three years, so I'm ready to get married.
- 25:51Speaker 1: He recently told me that he's got to get some
- 25:53Speaker 1: stuff out of his system first. Does that mean he's cheating? Yeah?
- 25:58Speaker 1: What what a sound like to me? What do you think?
- 26:01Speaker 1: Is we eating this system? That? What you think is
- 26:04Speaker 1: the name? What you talking about? And now she said,
- 26:08Speaker 1: I gotta get some get cleared up. I gotta get
- 26:11Speaker 1: some old baggage cleaned up with my ex or something
- 26:14Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, but I gotta get some stuff out
- 26:17Speaker 1: my sistem. But it is what is he doing? Yeah, no,
- 26:25Speaker 1: something I need to run his course. Yeah. He can
- 26:28Speaker 1: just drank a lot of water and you'd be gone
- 26:29Speaker 1: in the morning. Yeah. Yeah, talking about Yo Yo lived
- 26:34Speaker 1: together for three years. Yeah, reado, reado, reado. You need
- 26:39Speaker 1: to do some research on what he means by some
- 26:42Speaker 1: stuff out his system. Come on, she she knows. She
- 26:46Speaker 1: she mentioned the word cheating herself, so she knows. Okay,
- 26:49Speaker 1: let's go. Yeah, last one, that was the last one set. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 1: that was a Yeah, we'll read it's been nice. You
- 27:00Speaker 1: know who's in the systems. Yeah, a couple of glitches
- 27:09Speaker 1: is in. Now let me tell you what's really in
- 27:12Speaker 1: that says you know, it's hard to get out your
- 27:14Speaker 1: system lust, lustler, it's hard to get out your system.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Lust is that thing. See. The thing about lust is lust.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Even though it's one of the deadly sins, it feels
- 27:32Speaker 1: so damn good. Feels good. That's just one more time.
- 27:40Speaker 1: That's the problem with lust. Man sin. Now, all sins
- 27:46Speaker 1: don't feel good. It depends on who you are. Like
- 27:50Speaker 1: I had a partner man that that just stole all
- 27:53Speaker 1: the time. And I said, man, why why don't you
- 27:56Speaker 1: stop stealing? He said, Man, I can't help it. It's
- 27:59Speaker 1: just a drily rush. I get what I'm doing. It. Well,
- 28:02Speaker 1: it's gonna be another drilling rush when they catch your ass.
- 28:06Speaker 1: So you know, do you enjoy running because that's what
- 28:08Speaker 1: you're gonna have to do in a minute. That's what
- 28:11Speaker 1: lust can lead to. Yeah. But it's always seeing people
- 28:16Speaker 1: that's like you, man, I can't man these drugs, man,
- 28:20Speaker 1: they just Man, have you CCT? You ain't never been high? Man.
- 28:23Speaker 1: It's like a feeling of euphoria. Yeah. But when you're
- 28:27Speaker 1: coming down and you start getting sick and now you're
- 28:30Speaker 1: trying to hustle up money for your next high. Who
- 28:33Speaker 1: where's all that euphoria that you keep talking about? When
- 28:36Speaker 1: I get that money, man, I put it together. He
- 28:38Speaker 1: had come again, I said, Man's and that's what seeing does. Man.
- 28:44Speaker 1: It feels so good, but it's a cost factor, damn
- 28:48Speaker 1: near immediately. Yeah. Yeah, So whatever it is he's trying
- 28:54Speaker 1: to get out of his system after three years, it's lust. Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 1: All right, all right, Ciela, we thank you for you
- 29:08Speaker 1: wisdom as always coming up at the top of the
- 29:11Speaker 1: hour on this ignorant show. Right here today Entertainment News.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Well as signed Super Bowl fifty six football could be
- 29:25Speaker 1: yours for the right price, okay. Heritage Auctions has announced
- 29:30Speaker 1: the upcoming sale of a twenty twenty two Super Bowl
- 29:33Speaker 1: fifty six football autographed by most of this year's performers.
- 29:37Speaker 1: The ball will be a part of a sale running
- 29:40Speaker 1: from May twelfth through the fourteenth, and bids will start.
- 29:43Speaker 1: They will start at fifteen hundred dollars. The ball is
- 29:47Speaker 1: signed by Doctor Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, eminem
- 29:51Speaker 1: and Anderson Pack, Snoop Dogg and fifty Cent didn't sign
- 29:55Speaker 1: the football. I don't know why they didn't sign it.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Find out. I don't know. It don't matter. You got
- 30:02Speaker 1: Doctor Dre and eminem on that it works and marriage
- 30:05Speaker 1: been helified with fifty Doo Snoop. Yeah. I'll pay fifteen
- 30:10Speaker 1: hundred for the football. Oh you will? Okay, That's what
- 30:13Speaker 1: I was just gonna ask you. So do you care
- 30:15Speaker 1: about collecting this kind of memorabilia? Oh? No, not at all.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I don't want it. I'm getting it to sell it. Oh,
- 30:23Speaker 1: your Heritage auction, add your name to it. Oh, if
- 30:27Speaker 1: I could get that thing from fifteen hundred, the Heritage
- 30:30Speaker 1: off Auction would easily the very next day become the
- 30:33Speaker 1: Harvey auction. Oh y'all give a damn I no football
- 30:38Speaker 1: note writing on it? Man, how much thing you can
- 30:40Speaker 1: get for it? If you reset somebody for that? Damn
- 30:44Speaker 1: signatures Eminem on that. Somebody give me at least six
- 30:49Speaker 1: hundred thousand. So the bid starts at fifteen hundred, it's
- 30:53Speaker 1: going to go all the way up to over half
- 30:56Speaker 1: a million dollars or something. I would think football, I
- 31:00Speaker 1: mean I wouldn't, but you know there's people out there. Yeah,
- 31:05Speaker 1: it's gonna be doctor dre and eminem signature on it,
- 31:08Speaker 1: Mary J. Kendrick, Lamar Uh Anderson Pack. Yeah, nobody's given
- 31:14Speaker 1: money for Mary J. Blide's name on the football. She's
- 31:18Speaker 1: the best artist on that. But Mary J. Blige don't
- 31:22Speaker 1: play football. They would do it for other reasons. Yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 1: but that's not how they look at stuff. Yeah, I
- 31:30Speaker 1: just people are funny style. My favorite artists on that
- 31:33Speaker 1: show with Mary J. Blinde, Oh for sure, all day
- 31:37Speaker 1: especially when she fell out afterwards. I love that, all right.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Moving on about hip hop that I don't know, I'm
- 31:47Speaker 1: watching the thing came across my scroll. A game has
- 31:52Speaker 1: challenged Eminem and you know, he says he's you know,
- 32:00Speaker 1: he thinks, he thinks he's a better rapper than him.
- 32:04Speaker 1: That that's not gonna work out for him. And I
- 32:06Speaker 1: don't even know a lot about hip hop, but that's
- 32:09Speaker 1: not gonna work out. You're just GM that that's not
- 32:14Speaker 1: gonna work for you. Yellow Brick Road is one of
- 32:17Speaker 1: my favorite rap jams. I'm sorry, that's not gonna work
- 32:20Speaker 1: out for your game. We need to quit calling him out,
- 32:22Speaker 1: not not Emminem. All right, So let's just let me
- 32:27Speaker 1: get to this story. You guys are gonna love this. One.
- 32:29Speaker 1: New York based rapper fabulous Um had a very interesting
- 32:33Speaker 1: experience in a Las Vegas club this past Saturday night,
- 32:36Speaker 1: and he shared the video on his ig page with
- 32:38Speaker 1: a long caption. He said, I know what happens in Vegas.
- 32:41Speaker 1: It's supposed to stay in Vegas, but this was a
- 32:43Speaker 1: very rare experience for me, so I gotta share my story. Boom.
- 32:47Speaker 1: So we're sitting in the after hours and there was
- 32:50Speaker 1: a little room on the couch, A little room on
- 32:52Speaker 1: the couch I was sitting on. But this girl came
- 32:54Speaker 1: and rushed to sit down in this very tight space
- 32:57Speaker 1: on the couch like she was running, a running hitting
- 33:00Speaker 1: a hole. I thought her feet were hurting and she
- 33:03Speaker 1: couldn't stand up no more so, even though I didn't
- 33:07Speaker 1: know this girl and it was tight, I scooted over
- 33:10Speaker 1: a little bit. A few minutes later, I feel something
- 33:14Speaker 1: heavy on my shoulder. I thought she was playing or
- 33:17Speaker 1: showing how tired she was, even though she didn't know me.
- 33:21Speaker 1: But when I looked over, she was asleep, I mean
- 33:23Speaker 1: knocked out cold. So Fabulous does have a long time
- 33:27Speaker 1: life partner. It's Emily B. She's also a reality star.
- 33:32Speaker 1: So this is a question for you, guys, what do
- 33:34Speaker 1: you think? He posted the video of the girl asleep
- 33:37Speaker 1: on his shoulder, So do you believe his story because
- 33:41Speaker 1: it sounds kind of crazy in a club, a girl
- 33:43Speaker 1: falls on your shoulder, that you fall asleep on your shoulder,
- 33:46Speaker 1: that you don't know. I believe it. But yeah, probably
- 33:51Speaker 1: she lit been drunk and ridden. Sit down because she's
- 33:55Speaker 1: probably about to fall out. I believe it. She didn't
- 33:57Speaker 1: got over there in that cone and snuggle up and
- 33:59Speaker 1: booms she out and laid on his shoulder. I get it.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I believe involved in this story. I believe. Well, there
- 34:07Speaker 1: is one line involved. What what's that line? She knew
- 34:11Speaker 1: exactly who the hell he was? Yeah, I said, Well,
- 34:16Speaker 1: he didn't believe that. Oh, she knew who Fabulous was.
- 34:20Speaker 1: She just went on. She didn't go over there and
- 34:21Speaker 1: sitting next to Junior. Yeah, I believe it, he said,
- 34:27Speaker 1: even though she didn't know me. He said that, man, Fabulous,
- 34:32Speaker 1: she knew exactly who you were. I'm gonna tell you
- 34:35Speaker 1: something else. She wasn't sleep either. Oh, she was playing
- 34:41Speaker 1: sleep hoping you take advantage. It's a game. So why
- 34:47Speaker 1: did he post the video he has in it since
- 34:50Speaker 1: he's with his long time life partner Emily B. Well,
- 34:54Speaker 1: I mean that I know he wasn't up to nothing else.
- 34:57Speaker 1: You're not gonna post something you up to I believe
- 35:01Speaker 1: it actually happened to him just that way. But there's
- 35:03Speaker 1: a couple of things I do want him to know.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Number one, she knew exactly who he was, and number two,
- 35:09Speaker 1: she wasn't sleep them the two facts I'm pretty clear about. Huh.
- 35:15Speaker 1: On the video is she fine, sir, Monica Monica? Can
- 35:20Speaker 1: we see it? Please? This sud be Monica's our resident
- 35:23Speaker 1: research expert. Can we see a picture of it, Monica? Please?
- 35:26Speaker 1: And yeah, what is you no in your hand for?
- 35:29Speaker 1: Without sending me if you're still on the air. Beautiful?
- 35:37Speaker 1: I just complimented you and then you just said there
- 35:40Speaker 1: this Nah, you all don't need to see it coming
- 35:45Speaker 1: up in twenty minutes. You need to stop that. I
- 35:49Speaker 1: think all women are beautiful and lovely. All right. Uh,
- 35:53Speaker 1: Tommy has a question for you coming out? Not get ready,
- 35:56Speaker 1: get ready, I'll be ready right into this. Okay, we'll
- 36:01Speaker 1: be back right after this. You're listening, all right? So Tommy,
- 36:08Speaker 1: who we love to go to break? You said you
- 36:09Speaker 1: had something to ask your uncle. What is on your mind?
- 36:12Speaker 1: What you want to ask about? Okay? All right on.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Ever since the pandemic has started, from businesses, corporations, organizations,
- 36:22Speaker 1: everybody across the land has been zooming. It is the way.
- 36:28Speaker 1: It's the number one way of communicating. But it has
- 36:33Speaker 1: been brought to my attention by some of my boys,
- 36:35Speaker 1: some of my friends, even my wife. We've talked about it.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Everybody is not zoomable. So it's just everybody don't need
- 36:46Speaker 1: to be it's some faces out there that ain't zoomable.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Sometimes you are to just leave it where. It's just
- 36:52Speaker 1: on your picture of a picture of something else in
- 36:55Speaker 1: your name that everybody ain't zoomable. How do you let
- 37:00Speaker 1: somebody know that we would rather you just put some
- 37:03Speaker 1: pictures or something else up there because you're not zoomable.
- 37:06Speaker 1: You know, you're just not zoomable. Is I try to
- 37:11Speaker 1: give people instructures? Hey, dog, back back your camera. Put
- 37:19Speaker 1: it little more, little more now, no, dog, just push
- 37:24Speaker 1: you back all the way back. Okay, now you're right there.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Now push you now, tilted, tilt, tilted down, get us
- 37:32Speaker 1: out your nostrils. Tilt it down now, dog down, stop
- 37:40Speaker 1: turning it. See, because I don't like zooming with people.
- 37:43Speaker 1: The let gonna tell you something to see. Zooming is
- 37:46Speaker 1: real close to FaceTime. When I FaceTime my in laws Darson,
- 37:51Speaker 1: Bubba Bridges, Lord her Mercy, Jesus, they just answer the phone.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Then they put the microphone buy their mouth. Now we
- 38:02Speaker 1: just straight up their nostrils. Right, you'll be going, mama, Mama,
- 38:08Speaker 1: take the phone, Mama, take the phone. Yes, now stop
- 38:14Speaker 1: saying yes, huh, mama, put the camera wak and see
- 38:18Speaker 1: then shit, pull it out in front where you can see.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I said, Now that's better. Then when it's time for
- 38:22Speaker 1: her to talk, she put it right back up there
- 38:25Speaker 1: by her mouth so you can hear. Yeah, here's a
- 38:30Speaker 1: key to zoom. We please. If we're zooming and we
- 38:35Speaker 1: can't see your headline or your chin, your answer is
- 38:40Speaker 1: too close. You're too close and you're not zoomable. If
- 38:44Speaker 1: we can't see your shoulders, you too close? Yeah, clothing, Okay,
- 38:49Speaker 1: all right, absolutely now. Plastic surgeons have reported that their
- 38:54Speaker 1: business has gone up to the zoom because people see
- 38:57Speaker 1: what they look like on zoom and they've been correcting.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Their business has gone up sis on Instagram. Yeah, and
- 39:05Speaker 1: even more so since doom Steve, all right, all right,
- 39:09Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, a
- 39:11Speaker 1: teenager ends up in the hospital after a prank. Nephew
- 39:15Speaker 1: Tommy goes terribly wrong. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 39:19Speaker 1: You never hear me behind now always come. You're listening
- 39:28Speaker 1: to show in Laurel, New York, Listen to this guy's.
- 39:34Speaker 1: A group of teens gathered for a birthday sleep over,
- 39:37Speaker 1: and as the night went on, they decided to prank
- 39:40Speaker 1: nephew Tommy prank their neighbors by playing a game of
- 39:44Speaker 1: ring the doorbell and run, and one of the teams
- 39:47Speaker 1: ended up in the hospital after he got shot by
- 39:49Speaker 1: a homeowner. According to Aria Police. Yeah, according to area police,
- 39:54Speaker 1: there were several kids running around the neighborhood knocking on
- 39:57Speaker 1: doors and running away, and one of the homeowners, his
- 40:00Speaker 1: name was James James Moshier, thought that someone was trying
- 40:04Speaker 1: to break into his home. He felt threatened, so he
- 40:08Speaker 1: went to the door, listen to this idiot, and fired
- 40:11Speaker 1: his shotgun several times through the door, shooting a fifteen
- 40:15Speaker 1: year old in the arm. The team was taken to
- 40:18Speaker 1: the hospital and the owner. The homeowner was arrested and
- 40:21Speaker 1: later posted a twenty thousand dollars cash bail. This is yeah,
- 40:27Speaker 1: this is a prank gone wrong for real right here.
- 40:31Speaker 1: We did this as kids. Yeah, but if you was,
- 40:35Speaker 1: if you used to bother me is if you wasn't
- 40:38Speaker 1: you know, the biggest kid in the neighborhood, the biggest
- 40:41Speaker 1: kid trying to what you're knocking on the door for.
- 40:46Speaker 1: You need to be waiting on the street till we
- 40:47Speaker 1: get that. I think the guided shot the kid has
- 40:52Speaker 1: a real problem though, because if the story is you're
- 40:55Speaker 1: flying through the door through the door, yeah, then there
- 40:59Speaker 1: was no real imminent danger and you shot three times
- 41:03Speaker 1: and you just firing through the door because you felt
- 41:07Speaker 1: I don't know what you know now. I don't know
- 41:08Speaker 1: if the plank was a little bit more than world
- 41:10Speaker 1: where they was acting like they was trying to open
- 41:13Speaker 1: the door. I don't know, but you fired three shots
- 41:16Speaker 1: through the door. That's a little bit of a problem. Person,
- 41:20Speaker 1: come in your house, you know you could. That's one thing.
- 41:23Speaker 1: They outside and their kids. I don't know, man, I
- 41:27Speaker 1: don't know what's gonna happen. Yeah, they outside and they
- 41:30Speaker 1: knocked un yeah, yeah on the door. You did the
- 41:36Speaker 1: two junior growing up? Oh yeah, every day we was
- 41:40Speaker 1: out there. We didn't have internet. Yeah, we knock it
- 41:50Speaker 1: and we run, who turn is it to knock? Yeah?
- 41:53Speaker 1: Come on, we did. We did it on foot, we
- 41:55Speaker 1: did it on bike, did it on skateboards? We did
- 41:58Speaker 1: it and your parents found out? Lord. Yeah, yeah that's
- 42:03Speaker 1: that's when we stopped. Stopped. Yeah. So so, Steve, I
- 42:08Speaker 1: know you did something crazy growing up like any well, well,
- 42:12Speaker 1: we never did that. I can't even participate in that
- 42:15Speaker 1: we never rain the dobells and ran. Everybody knew us,
- 42:20Speaker 1: so you know, now you go outside your neighborhood. It
- 42:25Speaker 1: was eight of us. Well where's you going over? And
- 42:28Speaker 1: if one got a whippan, we was all getting a whippen.
- 42:30Speaker 1: So this ain't a good ass prank idea, Yeah, Tommy,
- 42:34Speaker 1: we just didn't. But I who we need to direct
- 42:38Speaker 1: this whole thing at is our resident king of prank. Now,
- 42:43Speaker 1: just like this little boy got shot. Line told us,
- 42:46Speaker 1: I'd have told your ass about these pranks, always messing
- 42:50Speaker 1: with people. Well let's not. Let's not. Let's not. Let's
- 42:55Speaker 1: not go all the way to getting shot though I
- 42:56Speaker 1: don't want to get shot. He didn't want to. As funny,
- 43:02Speaker 1: that's what they said. That's what I'm calling. I'm not knocking.
- 43:07Speaker 1: I'm calling. Well, you know somebody gonna roll up on you. Yeah,
- 43:12Speaker 1: because they want to meet you wherever you are. You
- 43:14Speaker 1: know that, hey, Tommy, because you know how the ones
- 43:17Speaker 1: go where you always go. And then they hang up
- 43:20Speaker 1: and you say calling back, calling back, somebody gonna hang
- 43:24Speaker 1: up and be on the way. They ain't gonna get
- 43:27Speaker 1: no ass hello hello man? Why that cat dog? Get
- 43:33Speaker 1: them back on the phone. Now, No, you're gonna get
- 43:36Speaker 1: a ring on your dough bell ding down? Who is it?
- 43:39Speaker 1: And they're not gonna be running they're running in huh.
- 43:45Speaker 1: We warned you every day about this prank because you
- 43:50Speaker 1: get yourself up at the end. This sniff you Timmy
- 43:53Speaker 1: from the Steve Harden one. You say it every time
- 43:55Speaker 1: so they know exactly who the hell they're looking for.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Tell them exactly who I am. You're right, you're right.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Did you meet someone? Oh yeah, didn't you meet someone
- 44:06Speaker 1: in real life and they had something to say? They
- 44:08Speaker 1: stepped to you? Yeah? Yeah, here, yeah, somebody I prank? Yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 1: I ran the phone wonderful? Ah yeah, ain't which you
- 44:15Speaker 1: not high at? Which? All right, Ranks Franks are coming
- 44:21Speaker 1: up next with the Nephew right after this. You're listening
- 44:25Speaker 1: to show coming up in about four minutes after the hour.
- 44:31Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject is why
- 44:34Speaker 1: is my man so childish? Why? We'll get into that
- 44:39Speaker 1: in just a bit, but right now it is time
- 44:42Speaker 1: for our resident Frankster, the Nephew, the King of Franks,
- 44:48Speaker 1: to prank phone call someone who is After that last break,
- 44:54Speaker 1: y'all talk about the kids they got franked bitter prank
- 44:57Speaker 1: and then somebody got shot. You know you got me
- 45:00Speaker 1: worried about Yeah, you know you got me worried about this?
- 45:04Speaker 1: Should I should I drop this prank right here today?
- 45:06Speaker 1: You know, do you think somebody gonna be after me?
- 45:10Speaker 1: They always are. You need a bodyguard. We keep telling
- 45:14Speaker 1: you that. But the prank must go on, Junior, it
- 45:18Speaker 1: has to happen. I ain't listening. Yeah, you know we
- 45:21Speaker 1: can't listen. Some bad news that that came about slow
- 45:25Speaker 1: us down, and we don't frank no more because of that.
- 45:27Speaker 1: The prank must go on like the show. Yes, the
- 45:32Speaker 1: prank has to happen. Okay, yeah right, we're gonna we're
- 45:35Speaker 1: gonna get We're gonna get kind of ignat here. How
- 45:37Speaker 1: egna do y'all want to get though? So people getting hurt? Now?
- 45:40Speaker 1: I mean, how far you want me to go? Ten
- 45:42Speaker 1: being the highest one through ten? Ten being the highest,
- 45:45Speaker 1: I'll say about the fifteen? Yeah, okay, that's what and
- 45:48Speaker 1: that's what I got. I got fifteens because I don't
- 45:51Speaker 1: know why you're asking how how eager you want us
- 45:53Speaker 1: to be? It's always ignorant. I don't know why what
- 45:55Speaker 1: number you won't but it's always over that what I
- 45:58Speaker 1: want to scale, and I want to scale scale the ten.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Let me know where you want me to go, that's all.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Let's say we can say seven to five. You're gonna
- 46:04Speaker 1: give us one teen. I'm a rachel, don't I always
- 46:10Speaker 1: reached my right? Yeah? All right, here we go. You
- 46:14Speaker 1: gave me wrong directions to my sister's grade right there.
- 46:20Speaker 1: You gave me wrong directions right there to my sister's grade.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Oh lord, take eighty five soup. You're gonna exit. Uh.
- 46:30Speaker 1: You gave me wrong directions to my sister's grade. Cat
- 46:34Speaker 1: dog get you would thank you for caring. My name
- 46:42Speaker 1: is Frederick Stammond. It down that timera. Let me say
- 46:46Speaker 1: she's any office one moment, plead, Just don't it doesn't
- 46:49Speaker 1: make sense for the all ago out tell like we did.
- 46:52Speaker 1: It didn't running in the type of problem that Hello, Hello, listen,
- 46:57Speaker 1: my name is Frederick Stammonds. Okay, Now, my sister's system
- 47:03Speaker 1: is buried out there. Okay, and we come out there
- 47:06Speaker 1: last week on Monday to come out there and pray
- 47:09Speaker 1: over the space was yell. Now, you as the one
- 47:13Speaker 1: that told us that it was a few spaces away
- 47:16Speaker 1: from the misolimb Now we got out there and prayed
- 47:19Speaker 1: over my sister friends as bearer and find out that
- 47:23Speaker 1: we were in the wrong space, and they say, you
- 47:26Speaker 1: was the one that told it to us. So I
- 47:28Speaker 1: don't even know what you're talking about. You is the
- 47:30Speaker 1: one that told us that my sister friends. I don't
- 47:33Speaker 1: give us spaces. I'm in an administrative office. I don't
- 47:36Speaker 1: know where you're working out. All I know is you
- 47:38Speaker 1: was the one that told us this. No, yes, you did.
- 47:42Speaker 1: You was the one that my grandbaby said that she
- 47:45Speaker 1: talked to the woman named Tabor, and you had us
- 47:47Speaker 1: out there standing over some white man's body and it
- 47:50Speaker 1: water out a concert. So I can't tell you we're
- 47:53Speaker 1: a space to you. So your granddaughter last to you.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Ain't nobody lied to me that you had us out
- 47:58Speaker 1: there in the wrong space? Has you in the wrong spaces?
- 48:01Speaker 1: I don't even know the Simmons here. You know what,
- 48:04Speaker 1: I must send my grand baby up there to talk
- 48:06Speaker 1: to you. Okay, I'll be here to five. You're very mischieved.
- 48:10Speaker 1: You know that I'll be here to five o'clock. You
- 48:12Speaker 1: have a good day, No, you don't. You hang up
- 48:14Speaker 1: this phone on me. You have a good day. No,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I'm not gonna have a good day. You had me
- 48:19Speaker 1: praying over the president's body and that was the wrong one.
- 48:23Speaker 1: And when sending that praying over this white man's body,
- 48:29Speaker 1: it was right. Hello, I'm listening to you. You don't
- 48:32Speaker 1: have an apology or nothing, because I know I didn't
- 48:35Speaker 1: tell your granddaughter where a space was? Then what did
- 48:38Speaker 1: you tell them? I don't even know what your granddaughter is.
- 48:41Speaker 1: What do you mean the Stamon's family if we were
- 48:44Speaker 1: not that, I don't know who the Simmons family is,
- 48:46Speaker 1: if not Simmon, that Stamons, Stamons, I don't know a
- 48:50Speaker 1: Simon's family. That's what I'm telling you. I'm not a counselor.
- 48:53Speaker 1: I don't even deal with family. Here's what I need
- 48:56Speaker 1: you to do. Can you go out there and pray
- 48:59Speaker 1: over myself? I don't know where your sister is buried.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I supposed to have been sex made away from the
- 49:05Speaker 1: mother limb. I don't are there any faces? Yes? Where
- 49:09Speaker 1: is it? Where is it? That section two? It was
- 49:13Speaker 1: in section two? But there was something white man we
- 49:15Speaker 1: was that that wasn't okay. I don't even know who
- 49:20Speaker 1: your sister friends is. I do not even know where
- 49:24Speaker 1: section two is. Whoever came into the cemetery and said
- 49:28Speaker 1: that they spoke to me, they probably did speak to me,
- 49:31Speaker 1: and I probably got the information from a conference, but
- 49:34Speaker 1: I never told them exactly where the spot was. So
- 49:37Speaker 1: if they were out there praying over your sister and
- 49:39Speaker 1: they were in the wrong spot, that's not my problem.
- 49:42Speaker 1: That praying over some white man, that's not my problem, sir.
- 49:46Speaker 1: If you gave the wrong the wrong spot, if you
- 49:49Speaker 1: gave the wrong information, it is I don't give the
- 49:52Speaker 1: wrong information. I told them, yes, she's in section two.
- 49:56Speaker 1: I did not physically go out there and point to
- 49:58Speaker 1: the spot to tell them to pray over that spot.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Let me explain what I'm trying to stop from happening.
- 50:04Speaker 1: If my people come out there, it's gonna be some
- 50:06Speaker 1: more bodies getting buried, and I don't want nobody to
- 50:09Speaker 1: get hurt. I mean, your family can come up here.
- 50:11Speaker 1: It's not gonna be no more bodies being buried that.
- 50:13Speaker 1: What they can do is come up here writing. We
- 50:15Speaker 1: can conversate about this, but it's not going to be
- 50:18Speaker 1: an up world here. I want you to go out
- 50:20Speaker 1: there and you pray over friends and his body. I'm
- 50:23Speaker 1: not going out to pray over nobody's body. Now it's
- 50:27Speaker 1: not Remember I didn't tell them the wrong information. Do
- 50:31Speaker 1: you love the Lord? Do you love the Lord? I
- 50:34Speaker 1: dearly do. Then you ought to have some sepathy. I
- 50:38Speaker 1: want you to bow your head right now. No, I'm
- 50:40Speaker 1: going to end this conversation because the work to do.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Now they come in and trust to me, I will
- 50:47Speaker 1: be hearing to five o'clock. Can I say one more
- 50:50Speaker 1: thing for you? Goal one more thinking? I'm ending the car. Okay,
- 50:53Speaker 1: this nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvard Morning Show. You

- 51:09Speaker 1: because sets you up and you just got it baby

- 51:22Speaker 1: That don't mean I ain't all right? Check it out.
- 51:29Speaker 1: You gotta tell me one thing, what's the baddest radio
- 51:31Speaker 1: show in the land. I don't see nobody coming to
- 51:41Speaker 1: jump on me behind that chairlt. I don't see no
- 51:43Speaker 1: butt whooping behind that right. There was just just clean,
- 51:48Speaker 1: good fun right there. It was sweet. Yeah, it was
- 51:52Speaker 1: real sweet. Alright, alright, alright, alright, just thought I'd drop

- 54:35Speaker 1: is to Strawberry letter, Thank you nephew. Subject, Why it's
- 54:39Speaker 1: my man so childish? Why Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm too
- 54:43Speaker 1: old to be playing games with my husband. He's sixty
- 54:46Speaker 1: and I'm fifty eight years old. He's a coach and
- 54:50Speaker 1: loves to line dance, so he usually he's usually at
- 54:53Speaker 1: a game or down at the lounge for a dance.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I used to dance with him, but I injured my
- 54:58Speaker 1: knee so I could to enjoy my quiet time when
- 55:01Speaker 1: he's gone. Because he's a handful, he just started being
- 55:05Speaker 1: a jokester lately, and he acts like he was raised
- 55:08Speaker 1: by wolves. Now. He undresses and leaves his clothes right
- 55:12Speaker 1: in front of the dirty clothes ben instead of putting
- 55:14Speaker 1: them in it. He will not do anything around the
- 55:18Speaker 1: house unless it benefits him. If he needs to soak
- 55:21Speaker 1: his old bones. After dancing, he'll wash the tub. If
- 55:25Speaker 1: he wants to eat a certain thing for dinner, he
- 55:27Speaker 1: goes and gets it without offering me anything. He leaves
- 55:31Speaker 1: a drop of milk, juice, mayo, or whatever it is
- 55:35Speaker 1: and puts it back in the refrigerator. I realize that
- 55:38Speaker 1: he reverted to his childhood after our last son moved out.
- 55:43Speaker 1: In addition to cleaning up behind him, I have to
- 55:45Speaker 1: deal with the other childish stuff he does. He falls
- 55:49Speaker 1: asleep with gum in his mouth and has gotten all
- 55:52Speaker 1: over his pillow, in our bed, and on the cushions
- 55:56Speaker 1: of our sofa. He has at least eight different types
- 55:59Speaker 1: of cereal just for him. If we're making love, he'll
- 56:03Speaker 1: crack jokes at the worst times. He faked a Charlie
- 56:07Speaker 1: horse once and had me panicking thinking I had hurt
- 56:10Speaker 1: him during sex. So now I'm reluctant to be intimate
- 56:14Speaker 1: with his silly behind. When he's driving, he likes to
- 56:18Speaker 1: hit the break and then the accelerator so he can
- 56:21Speaker 1: laugh in my head bobbing back and forth. I swear
- 56:24Speaker 1: this man is on my last nerve with his childishness.
- 56:27Speaker 1: His football team loves him because he's youthful and fun
- 56:30Speaker 1: to be around, but it's too much for me at
- 56:33Speaker 1: the house. How can I get my husband to change
- 56:35Speaker 1: his childish ways? Oh? What is your man doing? Is
- 56:42Speaker 1: what's happening? Who has time for all of this? I mean,
- 56:46Speaker 1: we're really grown up in here, we really are. And yes,
- 56:50Speaker 1: the things he's doing are very childish. He's doing the
- 56:53Speaker 1: kind of stuff that can truly get on your last nerve.
- 56:56Speaker 1: And it must have something to do with him hanging
- 56:58Speaker 1: out with the young football team and getting caught up
- 57:02Speaker 1: with them, you know, maybe that's what they do, and
- 57:05Speaker 1: he started thinking he's one of them. He's old enough
- 57:09Speaker 1: to be their grandfather is sixty years old. And he's
- 57:13Speaker 1: pranking you during sex. Wow, and the stopping and going
- 57:17Speaker 1: while driving. Lord, have mercy, you didn't tell us what
- 57:22Speaker 1: it was like before, you know, he started doing all this.
- 57:26Speaker 1: But I'm assuming it was the polar opposite of this.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Maybe not, you know, but I'm assuming it was the
- 57:32Speaker 1: polar opposite, because you're just complaining about it now. So um,
- 57:35Speaker 1: he knows what to do. I mean, he's just not
- 57:38Speaker 1: doing it anymore. Maybe he thinks his youth is fleeting
- 57:42Speaker 1: and it's you know, he wants to try and keep
- 57:45Speaker 1: infusing that into his life. Since he's around the kids.
- 57:48Speaker 1: They like him, they think he's fun, they think, you know,
- 57:51Speaker 1: he's one of them. Probably, But I think it's time
- 57:54Speaker 1: to have that talk with him and let him know
- 57:56Speaker 1: that he needs to stop it, and he needs to
- 57:57Speaker 1: stop it now. He's not a twenty year old, so
- 58:00Speaker 1: please quit acting like it. I mean, he could pull
- 58:03Speaker 1: that stuff with the kids, but you're way too grown
- 58:06Speaker 1: for his shenanigans now, and you gotta let him know that.
- 58:09Speaker 1: I really hope for you that your knee heels so
- 58:12Speaker 1: you guys can get back to doing what you used
- 58:14Speaker 1: to do, going out dancing and having fun. Maybe that
- 58:18Speaker 1: will help steve This marriage is over. Yeah, I'm not
- 58:23Speaker 1: gonna try to say this right. Hell yeah, I think
- 58:27Speaker 1: you should leave him, you know, you know, you know,
- 58:30Speaker 1: sometimes man, I don't really She don't want a divorce. Yeah,
- 58:36Speaker 1: that's why I'm suggesting a divorce because obviously it's not
- 58:40Speaker 1: entered her mind, because she wants me to help her
- 58:44Speaker 1: get her husband to change his child way. If you
- 58:49Speaker 1: just look at the stuff he's doing this child now,
- 58:51Speaker 1: taking the clothes off in front of the hamping leaving
- 58:54Speaker 1: him now. I don't know if that's child it's that's
- 58:56Speaker 1: just trifling. Yeah. Then he don't do nothing down the
- 59:00Speaker 1: house unless it benefits him. And we'll do much around
- 59:04Speaker 1: my house either. I can't understand. But if he needs
- 59:09Speaker 1: to soak his old bones after dancing, he'll wash the tub.
- 59:14Speaker 1: If he wants to eat a certain thing for dinner,
- 59:16Speaker 1: he go get it without offering me nothing. This dude,
- 59:20Speaker 1: right hill. Yeah, he leaves a corner of milk in
- 59:25Speaker 1: the cotton. He drank all the damn kool aid. Ain't
- 59:31Speaker 1: but a sipper juice, and ain't no mayonnaids down there
- 59:36Speaker 1: but at the bottom. Look get in trouble for that,
- 59:39Speaker 1: as kids. And then he put it back in refrigerator.
- 59:45Speaker 1: And you realize all this after your son moved out
- 59:49Speaker 1: now into now Also in addition to cleaning up after him,
- 59:54Speaker 1: here's what she said, I gotta deal with other childish
- 59:58Speaker 1: stuff he does. He he fall asleep with gum in
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: his mouth, and he get all over his pillow bed
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: and on the cushions on the sofa. Damn dog. So
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: when you when the gum fall out your mouth, you
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: roll in it. It stick to your face and then
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: you roll to the other side. You don't live with
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: a child, You live with a faux legged animal. This
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: ain't gotta to do with your childhood. What I'll have more? Oh, oh,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: we're gonna get to that right there, yes, please, all right,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: all right, we'll have part two of Steve's response to
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: this strawberry letter coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: the hour. The subject today is why is my man
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: so childish? We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. I know you don't like
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: this one. I don't either, but she needs help. This
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: woman does. The subject is why is my man so childish? Well,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: he's sixty fifty eight here, coach, and he loved the
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: line dance. So he's usually at a game or down
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: at the lounge for a dance. The line dance could
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: be the electric side slap second line in this New Orleans. Okay,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: so he could be anywhere now, Okay, so it don't
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: matter he's sixty. If he wanted to see the certain
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: thing for dinner, he'll go get it. Don't offer me nothing.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: He leave a corner milk, juice, mayo, and then whatever
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: there and put it back in refrigerate. He did all
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: this when he reverted direct to his childhood after your
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: last son moved out. Then she's mad because she got
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: to deal with the other childish stuff he does. Let's go.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: He fall asleep with gum in his mouth, and he's
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: getting all over the pillar and our bed, on the
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: cushions on our sofa. So what I said before break
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: is he choose the gum and falls out of his mouth.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: He rolled in it, he gets stuck on his face.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: He rolled to the other side. Now he getting caught
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: up any gum like a spider will. Now gum is everywhere, Okay.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Then she says he has at least eight different types
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: of cereal just for him, so litten. He got sugar crisp, definitely,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: he got cabin crunch, uh huh, apple jacks, fruit loops.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: All these is really kid ass syrial because he liked colors,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: alber jacks, fruit loop, tricks, tricks for sure, cuckoos that
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: one he got, Lucky chumps, he got count chocolate that's
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: really a baby ass seal, and one I'll be damned
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Frudie Pebble he a full blown baby. Now, all the
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: different colored rocks in my bowl, I ain't never wanted that.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I couldn't stay in there. I've always been a cheery
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: old man myself. A love cheeriola and wheatings, because I
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: thought wheaties wasn't gonna change for my life. I actually
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: ate wheaties because I thought they would get me on
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the box. I didn't make the box, but I did
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: get on TV. Look at God. God would do exceedingly
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: and abundantly over all you think I had here. I
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: wanted on a seal box, and he put me on TV.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Looking God. Now, let's get down to it. If we're
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: making love, he'll crack jokes at the worst time. What
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: in the world is this food doing? Knock knocks? Yeah,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: knock knock. That's who you're down, pebbleman, peppermint who, peppermint stick?
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: This is not knock knock fish? Who's there? Fish? Shoohoo?
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Long John Silver anyway, stupid? Yeah, Now, he said he
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: could have gone right here. When he's driving, he likes
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: to hit the break and then accelerate it so he
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: can laugh at my head bob back and forth. I
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: wait to you dragon coffin that boy, let me tell
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: you something. If I do that, If I did that,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: the magic I can't even play. I should look at
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: me like I lost my damn mind? Are you playing?
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: But he laughing though it you get just anyway, I
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: swear this man is on my last nerve with his
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: ch albums. Football team loves him because he's youthfully fun
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: to be around. But it's too much for me at
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: the house. How could I get my husband to change
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: his ways? Divorce? It's childish way. This is divorce. There's
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: no hope for it. You don't think, well, you know
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: he's on her nerves. Yeah, and that's what the problem means.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: And when you sixty and people on your nerves, it's
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: worse because now you're dating this. I'm this is not
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: a good letter to me. I don't know what to
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: tell the shell. I don't even have energy for this letter.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: I just don't just because you don't. It's really anything
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: you want to ask me about the letter, Shelly that
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: I might be able to respond because I really don't. Well, okay,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: because I did suggest that, um, you know, hopefully her
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: knee will heal quickly. Maybe her going back to the
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: club with him, and then you don't want to go
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: down clearly sad clearly says in the letter. Though I
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: heard my knee, so I can't. But I'm enjoying my
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: quiet out him because she can't stand him right now
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: because he's so childish. Right, so she sure ain't going
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: down here the line dance, he down there, putting their
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: pants down, everything, because he got that dumb ass sense
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: of human Yes, this is he's acting like a kid.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what would make a man
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: do this, a grown man, a sixty year old, unless
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: he's trying to recapture his youth. Well, this ain't leave him. Wow,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: we get paid, we don't do this. Yeah, they pay
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: us to be stupid, and we don't do this. Yeah.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I just don't think she wants to leave it. But see,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. When you got
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: a stupid man, you just in bad shape. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: you can have a stupid son, but you can't have
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: a stupid husband. Though. It's like having a stupid son
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: married to the sixty year old man. All right, listen, um,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: please leave your comments on today letter on Instagram at

- 1:10:39Speaker 1: and my prom is April thirtieth, so I hope to
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: see I hope you see this before then. It will
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: be my first date. And I'm very shy and have
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: never been with the girl. And eleventh grader asked me
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: to go to the prom. She's also square, but she's cute.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: My dad is a player and he called to me
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: a nerd, so I know he will make a big
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: deal out of it if I ask him for advice.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: I need to know. This is RP asking you guys.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I need to know what am I supposed to talk
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: about when I pick her up and at dinner. He
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: wants to know if you guys have any tips for him. Steve, Yeah,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: I've sixteen years old. First prom shot. The key to
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: having a good time with the young lady is to
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: be a gentleman. That's the most important thing to cata
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: to her. Open doors for her, pull the chairs out
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: for her. Uh, you know, be polite to her. You know,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: open her card door for her, close the door, pull
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: her chair out when she goes to the restroom, Stand
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: up at the table when she comes back, stand up
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: at the table. You want to be a gentleman at
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: all times. You want to talk about school subjects in school,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: what's her favorite thing to do? Talk to her about
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: her hobbies, what she likes, what she enjoys. Occasionally put
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: in what you like and enjoy, but mostly be very
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: very inquisitive. Ask a lot of questions, and whenever you
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: can be complimentary, tell her how nice her hair looks, eventually,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: notice her shoes, tell her how her nice her dresses.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: And this is not all at once, No, spread this out. Yeah,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: you gotta spread this out through the evening like it's
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: all coming to you. You run it all together, you're
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: gonna be out. Oh my god, your hair's so BEAUTI
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: just look like yo hair like now yo yo, Not
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: that Steve. He shy, So he may feel a little
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: awkward doing this because this is not you know what
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: kids A lot of kids are being taught now. They
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: don't know that. Yeah, I got that. But you gotta,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: we gotta. I know it's gonna be hard because you
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: kind of shy, but you gotta move past this because
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: here's the advantage. She asked you, so at least she's
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: comfortable and likes you. Now she's a square two, as
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: you put it, So that's good. Helps. That helps. She
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: ain't out there in the fast lane and you ain't either.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: That's a good place to be. So just relax, man,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: and know that she asked you to go to the prom,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: so she must think you're a pretty cool kid, you
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: know what I mean. Now, don't be something that you're
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: not playing like it's daddy, get her whatever it is
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: they're doing it proms now, if it's a cassage, if
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: it's some flowers, get us something whatever you are doing
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: now the prom. I don't know what's happening no more,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: but do that and just be extra polite and smile
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: a lot. And when she asked you what you're smiling at,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: your answer is always you yeah, And just smile a lot,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: because look, man, the thing that you want back is
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: the thing you have to put out. So if you
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: want a lot of smiles, you have to smile a lot.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: You know, when she's getting out the car, hold her
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: hand when you open the door, hold her arm, walk
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: into the door, just every chance you get, and then
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: ask her when you're walking up, can I hold your
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: hand as we walk to the door. Do you mind
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: if I hold your hand to escort you use words
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: like that just to get because all you really want
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: to do a whole hand you damn the reason. You know,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: we just want to hold hands. And then if you
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: want you need that advanced lesson. We go from him later.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: All right, RP, have fun at the prom. That's so sweet.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Haven on, great advice, great advice, all right, coming up
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: at watch Yeah, grooming is important, all right, coming up
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more of
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. So Judge Greg Mathis
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: has a brand new docuse series in the works. It's
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: going to be on the E network. It is called
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Matthis Family Matters, and it will follow Judge Matthis, his
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: beautiful wife Linda, and their four grown children as they
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: navigate through life, love, and of course Hollywood. Matthis Family
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Matters is the title. It will offer fans a rare look,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: a very rare look into Judge Matthis his life outside
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: the courtroom. It premieres in June on E. Like I said,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: they a network, he has a beautiful family, so I'm
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: sure there will be some black excellence going on in
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: this docu series. They're not calling it a reality show.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: They're calling it a docuse series. So the question is,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: what you guys do a reality show? If the price
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: is right? Oh? I got ask to do one. I passed.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Oh I passed. Well, what would you to call about Harvey?
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: What would you to call it? I have no idea,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: but it was all about me and my family and
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: day to day of of my Miles crew. Because they
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: already got that tight little people out there already. It's
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: no way, it's no way I can do. It's no way.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: It's just no way. I've seen what it can do
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: to people. Man, what it can do to a relationship. Yeah,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: if you destroy you, if my career is over at
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: that point, friendship's break up, your career is over. Your
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: think so oh yeah, they can't see what's happening at
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: this house. People would love it. It would be the
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: number one show on any network. We'll have more of
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: a Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll do around of would you rather?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening show time now guys for
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: would you rather? Would you rather sleep without a pillow
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: or sleep without a blanket? Which one? I gots to
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: have a blanket? Yeah, because I'm naked. Yeah, oh yeah,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I sleep that part. Now. It's gonna be rough without
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: a pillow, but it cannot happen without a blanket. The
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: blanket provides too much comfort. Yeah it does. Yeah, you
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: know you have a pull and pull that extra blanket
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: up and then that extra warmth just sank you into
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: that sleep deep. Yeah. They even have those weighted blankets
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: now that help you sleep. You got one. I keep
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: a blanket what I got a bunch of doesn't help
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: you sleep. I don't have one, doesn't help you. He
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: said he has one. I said I had one. Well,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: she asked, questioning you or her? It's what she's angry about.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: I couldn't. I couldn't hear. I'm bad. I say it again.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: It helped me sleep better because I just ask, are
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: you on delay? All right? We're moving on. It's a
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: little delay right now. It's throwing off question you normally
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: real shopping quick and right now you got that little
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: dull marble thing working. It's not me. Okay, it's not me,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: all right? Would you we're moving on? Would you rather
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: tell your mate? Would you would you move? Would you
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: rather tell your mate everything you did yesterday? Tell your
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: mate every single thing you did? Or would you rather
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: buy her a car? You can't tell her what you do? Y? Yeah,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: that's because it's every other day quick always somebody mate.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: I mean this, you know, just in case you something
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: real crazy. You know the argument of trying to avoid sure,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: So you're gonna buy her a car? Okay, so you
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: gonna so? So when I called a fleet, you didn't
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: have time to talk to me, but you would square
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: at the golf to with who let's see no, hell,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: here's a car? Hell? Hell? Yeah? Oh okay? Like that?
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: All right? Would you rather do five different positions every
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: time you were intimate? Or only one position forever? Variety?
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Despicy life, so five different times every single time? Yeah?
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Or only one position forever? No? I like that? Five
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: We got of five? All right, lovers quarterback in cinema, Yes,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: all right, every single time saying hold on, man, you're
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: getting bored. All right. That's today's version of would you rather? Um?
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: And at forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll be
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: back with our last break of the day and some
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one in Emily Steve Harvey right
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, guys? Here we are
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this crazy Wednesday.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Yeah you, guys, I want to ask you a question.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: The y the lawyer who did the class about me.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: What's her name? Mkill oh, Professor mo Ivory morayma Ivory,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: but we call her mo Mo mo Ivory Ivory, mo
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: Ivory Ivory. Jesus, make up your mind. What is it?
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I can't learn it if you don't give it to me. Ivory,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Professor of Law at Georgia State. Yes, and they did.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: They conducted a class on me for a year or
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: semester of the business life of Steve Harvey. And I
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: didn't even know it. They told me they were going
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: to do it, but I didn't. I didn't really think
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: it was going to happen. But they did a whole
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: semester in a law class, and last night was the
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: culmination of it, and I was able to go to it.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: They invited me to be the fireside chat at the
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: end of the course. So it was the end of
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the course and I went and I was in front
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: of about a hundred two hundred, I guess a couple
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: hundred law students and I sat there and it was
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: really really interesting. Man. First of all, I want to
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: thank Georgia State. It was one of the greatest honors
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I've ever received. I mean, who would thought in a
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: million years that my life would be worth being studied
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: by some law students. So I was so honored because
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: it's unthinkable, you know what I mean. It wasn't on
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: the vision board, wasn't on the bucket list. I mean,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: it's just unthinkable that someone would think enough of me
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: to do a case study, and so a lot of
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: people that I've been in business with over the years
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: were invited. Shirley was invited to speak as the person
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: who's been doing radio with me the longest, but they
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: had they bought in my publishers from Harper Collins. Former lawyers,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: former business associates, are current people that I do business with,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Professors that I've known over the years. This really really
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: she did an amazing job of putting together the cast
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: of people that had played a role in my career
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: at one point time or another. So it was really
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: really compelling. Man, I want to think Professor Moe Ivory,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: she was I met the dean of the school, I
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: met the president of the university. It's just a great evening.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: One of the things that I was impressing upon the
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: young law students was, first of all, I was amazed
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: at how they did it. I mean, all of these students,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: they've gone to law school, but then right after that
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: they entered I mean they've gone to regular college and
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: gotten degrees, right, and then they go to law school.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: And that's just I just congratulated because I'm always impressed
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: with people who are educated because it's something I didn't
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: accomplish in my life. I just at the time, I
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: wasn't able to. I'm not really not able to now.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: But I was just impressed with people who get degrees
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: and educate themselves. I think that's an amazing talent. Because
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I was reminding them that smart is a talent. Being
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: smart is a talent, and it's as good a talent
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: as running, jumping, singing, and dancing. What I said to
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: them was, after you get this college degree and it's
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: hanging on the wall, what you do with your life
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: after that is really going to begin. And if you
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: think getting this degree was hard, oh my own mind,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: you just wait because you're gonna enter into this thing
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: called life. It won't be the most studying and all
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: this here, it's on the job training. All your studying
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: will be in the field. And I just reminded them
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: that the most important thing in their life is their dream. See,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: and I said, the dream has gotten you this far.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: So far. You know, you dream of becoming a lawyer,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: so that has spurred you to get an education, which
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: proves my point when I say that the dream is
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: the most important thing in your life, it's even more
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: important than education. I've been stopped by several people at
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: a school. One time they actually cut the mic off
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: and said, how dare you stand in front of an
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: instant tuition of education and tell these children that something
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: is more important than the education? Because it's not us.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Excuse me, ma'am, it really is, I said, because you
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: really don't have given me time to explain to the children.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: And what I'm about to say to you as this,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: If you learn what a child dreams about, the dream
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: will spur you to get an education. If you got
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: a child at dreams of asking kid one time in
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: my camp whether you want to be man, mister Harvy,
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: I love to fly a plane. And we just bought
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: out all these stuff on the internet about flying planes,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: and he was just lit up. And then I told
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: him these are the subject you're gonna have to really
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: be good at the fly plane. You're gonna really have
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: to understand science. You're really gonna have to understand math,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: You're gonna have to understand some physics. He would, Oh,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: I could do that. I just want to fly the plane,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: because see, the dream made the education more doable. And
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: even when you get the education, you must you absolutely
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: have to I don't care who you are, how old
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: you are, when the last time you've been to school,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. You have got to acknowledge the dream.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: The dream is your everything, y'all. The dream is the
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: thing that will keep you and drive you. Honor the dream.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: Focus on the dream. It's never too late to dream.
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: It's never too late to make a dream come true.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Don't ever give up on the dream. I don't care
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: what kind of degree you got, because once you get
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: a degree and you start pursuing the dream, and nobody
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: gonna ask you about that degree. No more. Nobody has
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: ever asked me to this day, Steve Harvey, what you
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: do major in nothing? I majored in dreams? Here I am.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks. Hope you got something out
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: of that today. If you didn't tune in tomorrow, God willing,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: maybe you'll be affected by that one. But in the meantime,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: talk to God today. He would love to hear. For
