- 2:12Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show. Man, ain't God been good
- 2:16Speaker 1: to me? Wow? But then again, ain't He been good
- 2:22Speaker 1: to you too? Though? I mean really, man, think of
- 2:24Speaker 1: all the blessings God has given you. Think of all
- 2:27Speaker 1: the things He's done for you, things that you ask for,
- 2:30Speaker 1: things that you didn't ask for, things that you were expecting.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Being all about all of the unexpected blessings. Man, he
- 2:38Speaker 1: just keep coming with it, don't it. You know what,
- 2:40Speaker 1: that's some good news today, though, y'all. You know, in
- 2:43Speaker 1: the in the in the face of the economy being
- 2:45Speaker 1: the way it is, in the face of all the
- 2:49Speaker 1: world being the way it is, the the evilness that's
- 2:53Speaker 1: out there, it just it just seems like that's all
- 2:55Speaker 1: that's on the news sometimes. You know, we got we
- 2:58Speaker 1: got news of parents not really standing up being parents.
- 3:01Speaker 1: We've got news stories of children turning on their parents.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You got, you got everything the economy, You've got places
- 3:09Speaker 1: you thought you should be beautiful places to go. Now
- 3:11Speaker 1: they've got travel allerged. It's it's just it's all little.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It's it's it's all over. But the good news is
- 3:19Speaker 1: there's something that you can have in this relationship with
- 3:23Speaker 1: God that gives you a way to deal with it all.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And I'm not saying that it will it will protect
- 3:31Speaker 1: you from every single thing out that is happening, because
- 3:34Speaker 1: some things are going to happen to you. You're going
- 3:38Speaker 1: to be in an accident from time to time. You're
- 3:40Speaker 1: going to make a mistake and fall down from time
- 3:43Speaker 1: to time. But man, wouldn't it be incredible to you
- 3:46Speaker 1: for you if you understood that you had some insurance
- 3:51Speaker 1: in all of this that no matter what happened to you,
- 3:54Speaker 1: you know you will cover it. You know, look, insurance
- 3:57Speaker 1: companies as good as they are, you know, like our
- 3:59Speaker 1: friends to Stay Farm or any other insurance company. You
- 4:03Speaker 1: know they do, they do some amazing things. Insurance is
- 4:06Speaker 1: a really really good thing to happen in the event
- 4:08Speaker 1: that something happens to you. You know, you may not
- 4:11Speaker 1: want to pay the premium, but guess what in the
- 4:14Speaker 1: event that something happens to you that insurance is absolutely critical. Well,
- 4:19Speaker 1: but guess what they cover certain things. You could get
- 4:22Speaker 1: life insurance, you can get auto insurance, you can get
- 4:26Speaker 1: accident insurance, you can get health insurance. There is nothing
- 4:31Speaker 1: that you can buy to safeguard you against life's decisions.
- 4:37Speaker 1: You know, if you make a mistake, if you cheat,
- 4:42Speaker 1: if you lie, if you if you fall down and
- 4:46Speaker 1: you can't seem to get it together, and you make
- 4:49Speaker 1: a crazy decision about how you're gonna go about securing
- 4:53Speaker 1: an income, that there are there are no policies you
- 4:56Speaker 1: can buy for that. You can't buy a policy. If
- 5:00Speaker 1: you stop being the man you're supposed to be, and
- 5:04Speaker 1: and and and give up on your children, you can't
- 5:07Speaker 1: buy a policy if something happens as a mother and
- 5:10Speaker 1: all of a sudden you're not the mother you're supposed
- 5:12Speaker 1: to be. But there is some insurance coverage out there
- 5:17Speaker 1: for you. And that relationship that you form with God,
- 5:21Speaker 1: that friendship that you form with him, that that alliance
- 5:25Speaker 1: that you that that partnership, that that prayer that you
- 5:29Speaker 1: put in all the time, there is an insurance policy
- 5:34Speaker 1: that you have taken out when you form a relationship
- 5:38Speaker 1: with your heavenly Father, when you form a friendship, when
- 5:41Speaker 1: you form a bond that protects you, that protects you
- 5:46Speaker 1: when these things happen in the event that they happen. Now,
- 5:50Speaker 1: here's a great thing about prayer. Prayer can head off
- 5:54Speaker 1: some stuff from happen. It really really can. Prayer can
- 5:58Speaker 1: prevent some things from happen. You know, I'll give you
- 6:01Speaker 1: an example in my life. Okay, here we go, because
- 6:04Speaker 1: see this is the best way for me to do it.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Because see what I don't like to do is is
- 6:08Speaker 1: talk to people without letting them know, Hey, look I'm
- 6:11Speaker 1: in this hole with you. I feel where yet? Okay,
- 6:14Speaker 1: here we go. I was making some decisions a few
- 6:18Speaker 1: years ago because what I thought I was doing was
- 6:22Speaker 1: counterbalancing something that was happening in my life. You know,
- 6:27Speaker 1: I thought that since I wasn't happy or well, for
- 6:32Speaker 1: whatever the reason I thought I wasn't happy, if if I,
- 6:35Speaker 1: as wrong as I am, wanted to blame somebody else
- 6:38Speaker 1: from my unhappiness, that that's that's really if. If if
- 6:41Speaker 1: I make a bad decision because I'm thinking I'm unhappy
- 6:44Speaker 1: with somebody, hold a part. Two wrongs don't make it right.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And I make a decision to do something wrong, and
- 6:51Speaker 1: now the consequences come when I do something wrong. See
- 6:56Speaker 1: then that I already know, as an intelligent thinking man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: and as most of you are, that when you do
- 7:02Speaker 1: something wrong, that you know there is a consequence for that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I teach that to my sons. When you do something wrong,
- 7:09Speaker 1: there as a consequence. So as an adult, I fully
- 7:12Speaker 1: understood the consequence. And so what I was doing was
- 7:15Speaker 1: I was making some decisions that was causing some consequences
- 7:19Speaker 1: in my life that was delaying my happiness, delaying my progress,
- 7:25Speaker 1: causing my business not to go the way it could go,
- 7:28Speaker 1: so forth and so on. Well, what I started doing
- 7:31Speaker 1: was I took out this insurance policy called prayer, and
- 7:35Speaker 1: I started putting it in my mix on a daily basis,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and then I started putting it in my mix, you know,
- 7:40Speaker 1: two three times a day. And then I found myself
- 7:43Speaker 1: using it all the time. And then I really started
- 7:46Speaker 1: putting it in when when I didn't need any help,
- 7:49Speaker 1: when I wasn't in trouble, I started putting insurance and
- 7:52Speaker 1: I started making deposits into the bank. I started paying
- 7:55Speaker 1: my premiums down. And prayer is like a premium, you
- 7:59Speaker 1: just paying to it. Then when situation started coming up,
- 8:04Speaker 1: now it's that prayer that I had put in that
- 8:07Speaker 1: in those premiums I had paid, it started preventing me
- 8:10Speaker 1: from making the decisions I was making in the past.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Thus I didn't have to the suffer the consequences. Thus
- 8:17Speaker 1: my businesses didn't have to be delayed in this progress.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Because I had put some payments on some premiums, I
- 8:24Speaker 1: had taken out an insurance policy with my life, my
- 8:29Speaker 1: real life. I'm talking about your life where you make
- 8:31Speaker 1: your day to day decisions in I'm not talking about
- 8:34Speaker 1: see life. Insurance is only good if you die. God
- 8:39Speaker 1: has a policy that's avasable, that's available for you. Why
- 8:42Speaker 1: are you living see in order foreign insurance policy to pay.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Something bad got to happen when you take out the
- 8:51Speaker 1: policy with your with your heavenly father, when you pay
- 8:54Speaker 1: the premiums of prayer, and that's all it costs. Man,
- 8:57Speaker 1: It ain't you. Ain't gotta have no money for this policy.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I put into the policy. It pays me dividends and
- 9:06Speaker 1: benefits for living. Ain't nothing got to go wrong for
- 9:11Speaker 1: me to cash in on this policy. I use this
- 9:16Speaker 1: policy for good things. Steve Harvey long away from being perfect.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I never claimed perfection it as a matter of fact.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You know, it's kind of funny, man, how people do.
- 9:25Speaker 1: That's that's why I'm I used to be so afraid
- 9:29Speaker 1: to even, you know, bring up God in my relationship
- 9:32Speaker 1: and what I was trying to do, because just the
- 9:34Speaker 1: other day I gotta email in the email back, I'm
- 9:37Speaker 1: just telling you how people were. It didn't stop me,
- 9:39Speaker 1: it didn't shake me. I just don't want you to
- 9:41Speaker 1: understand that people are. See people sit up and listen
- 9:43Speaker 1: to you, and then they used that for a point
- 9:46Speaker 1: they got to make. Mr Harvey. Since you say you
- 9:49Speaker 1: better now and God is making you better and you
- 9:52Speaker 1: a change person, why do you treat Eugene the way
- 9:55Speaker 1: you do. Eugene is obviously, and then she used three
- 10:00Speaker 1: letter word for Eugene that we've never used on the
- 10:02Speaker 1: show about Eugene. Eugene is. Nobody never said that. We're
- 10:06Speaker 1: just doing the show over here. You see that. Don't
- 10:08Speaker 1: bother me no more, because all I want to lady,
- 10:11Speaker 1: notice this is just to show everybody this is the
- 10:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's nothing more, it's nothing less.
- 10:17Speaker 1: You know, a lot of people know who Eugene is.
- 10:20Speaker 1: A lot of people know what Eugene do. Some people do,
- 10:23Speaker 1: some people don't. But people would take information they hear
- 10:26Speaker 1: you about your walk and try to throw it in
- 10:29Speaker 1: your way and in a subtle way, in a subtle way,
- 10:32Speaker 1: you ain't what you say you are. You ain't walking
- 10:35Speaker 1: like you said you're gonna walk. Man, listen to me,
- 10:38Speaker 1: y'all make the decisions to pay your premiums in prayer,
- 10:42Speaker 1: talk to your heavenly father, get you some insurance in
- 10:45Speaker 1: your life, and when you have little things like that,
- 10:48Speaker 1: keep on stepping. Man. God loves you. Man, Man, I
- 10:51Speaker 1: shall hope you talk to God to day because guess
- 10:53Speaker 1: what his show would like to hear from you. That's
- 10:55Speaker 1: for shows you're listening to ladies and gentlemen, boys and
- 11:02Speaker 1: girls of people notably around the world that would be
- 11:07Speaker 1: including the White House. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I would invite the White House to start listening because
- 11:15Speaker 1: y'all need a laugh today. Instead of providing the laughs,
- 11:18Speaker 1: y'all need to sit back and laugh. This's the craziest
- 11:22Speaker 1: thing I've ever seen. Let's all thank God for Quincy Jones.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Welcome to the Steve Harvey Quest. It had lost it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Damn he needs to of course, it got to be quiet.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Queer say queens that Quez said Chris, it needs to
- 11:42Speaker 1: be quiet, man. But he is he telling the truth though,
- 11:45Speaker 1: dog is well. Quincy knows a lot of stuff. Man.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I've set with this man many times. He's one of
- 11:51Speaker 1: the most knowledgeable and realest cats I've ever talked to.
- 11:54Speaker 1: He's knowledgeable. I've never heard him lie. I don't know
- 11:58Speaker 1: who's going on it. Let's just say it's too much
- 12:01Speaker 1: right now, That's all I can't It's a lot. He
- 12:07Speaker 1: just the spectrum of knowledge is too much. The part
- 12:11Speaker 1: that's gonna get the most trouble is he knows who
- 12:14Speaker 1: shot Kennedy. We got to well, what did he say
- 12:19Speaker 1: the mafia, right, A lot of people have suspected that
- 12:22Speaker 1: for years. No, he know who shots. Yeah, he know him.
- 12:29Speaker 1: He's old enough to know. Right now, you got to
- 12:34Speaker 1: be quiet. Yeah. Yeah. You can say what you want
- 12:38Speaker 1: to say about everybody else, but once you start talking
- 12:40Speaker 1: that political thing. Yeah, he said, Michael Jackson stole music,
- 12:48Speaker 1: um from down the summer. The Beatles can't play. I mean,
- 12:51Speaker 1: he said so much. Richard. Well, that's true if you
- 12:55Speaker 1: listen to the Beatles music, that they weren't gifted musicians
- 13:01Speaker 1: at all. They were this thing that had never been
- 13:04Speaker 1: seen before. They were iconic. Oh, they came and they
- 13:07Speaker 1: feeled a void that had never They were just the
- 13:10Speaker 1: first London group boy band. Oh man, they're killing it.
- 13:17Speaker 1: So yeah, No, they weren't great musicians. No, not at all.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I didn't know that. I never knew that. You could
- 13:26Speaker 1: have never told me that. So we're gonna believe some
- 13:28Speaker 1: of the stuff he says, but just not all believe.
- 13:32Speaker 1: We have to be. Well, all you gotta do is
- 13:36Speaker 1: listen that they're not known for great instrumentation. They were
- 13:41Speaker 1: one of the greatest kids of all time, but they
- 13:43Speaker 1: were That's not what I'm saying, if we believe the Beatles,
- 13:50Speaker 1: then we're gonna have to believe that the Godfather was
- 13:54Speaker 1: with Richard Pride. We're gonna have to believe. If we
- 13:56Speaker 1: don't believe all of it, well, here's a deal, and
- 14:01Speaker 1: you can look at you can listen to the music
- 14:04Speaker 1: and tell that that's the truth. You wasn't there for
- 14:07Speaker 1: the rest of it was not Ivanka Trump do have
- 14:14Speaker 1: nice legs, and I feel for her for a lot
- 14:19Speaker 1: of the pain she has to go through, you know.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So I don't know, but as a comedian, you are
- 14:25Speaker 1: avoiding it. The god Father, I don't even know what
- 14:30Speaker 1: all Right, coming up, we're gonna find out what happened
- 14:34Speaker 1: over the weekend, Steve, what happened ninety years ago we
- 14:39Speaker 1: had you're listening to Steve Morning Show. Hi, Steve, I
- 14:47Speaker 1: understand you did some barbecuing over the weekend. Yeah. Yeah,
- 14:50Speaker 1: I just got out on the grill. And then my
- 14:52Speaker 1: crazy wife, who is a little Mr. The socialite of
- 14:56Speaker 1: the family, she just eyes to go on something live.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I don't know what it was. She was doing it
- 15:05Speaker 1: Instagram Live, Mama Story or Instagram. It was Instagram Live,
- 15:12Speaker 1: Instagram Live. Me and the hubby just out in the
- 15:15Speaker 1: backyard barbecuing. I can't believe say, haisty, you know goodn
- 15:20Speaker 1: heal well, I don't like that. I said, Hey, she said,
- 15:24Speaker 1: that's real good for him, y'all. But I was out
- 15:29Speaker 1: there putting that grill up. I did. That's what I did. Okay,
- 15:32Speaker 1: Now this was crazy. This was a protein weekend. I
- 15:36Speaker 1: still got some. I got a little bit left. But
- 15:39Speaker 1: that's gonna be it, though. But I did. Um. I
- 15:43Speaker 1: did some lamb chops. I did some chicken quarters, legs
- 15:50Speaker 1: and thighs. Yeah. Um, they taste way better barbicane, didn't
- 15:58Speaker 1: they just do? Man, they're juicier. Yeah, you are not
- 16:02Speaker 1: as dry, Shirley, They're not as dry, surely. Yeah, we're
- 16:07Speaker 1: talking about cooking. I know, I know the thighs are juicier.
- 16:11Speaker 1: You're not allowed to participate, Tommy, she jumped in here.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Don't know, But am I not? Emma? Is that not
- 16:19Speaker 1: the truth? With confidence? They're juicier? They aren't juicier. I
- 16:28Speaker 1: know that I've eaten them before. I may not have
- 16:33Speaker 1: cooked them, but I'm certainly eating them before. Tommy. Tommy,
- 16:36Speaker 1: she ambushed me. You are not gonna do you ain't
- 16:44Speaker 1: no league that person. You don't know nothing by no cooking,
- 16:47Speaker 1: god nothing. So anyway we did. I did lamb chops,
- 16:52Speaker 1: then I did some THI laid quarters, and then I
- 16:57Speaker 1: did some wago wago hot dog dog. Yeah, man, I
- 17:07Speaker 1: did not know that. Hey Junior, that costs some money, right,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I bet it? Do that? You bet not burn it?
- 17:15Speaker 1: You can get him at Bristol Farms. What what is BOMs?
- 17:20Speaker 1: It's a grocery store. How much is hot dogs? I
- 17:24Speaker 1: don't boy up there with you and Tom Hanks and
- 17:27Speaker 1: then there goes draping in. Hey man, I don't know
- 17:32Speaker 1: to everyone, Okay, I don't have to go to the
- 17:36Speaker 1: grocery store talking about how much. I just pick out
- 17:39Speaker 1: what I won't not at the grocery. Stoke, when you
- 17:44Speaker 1: rolled around grocer store, do you see Samuel Jackson? Is
- 17:48Speaker 1: he in there too? I don't go to the grocery.
- 17:51Speaker 1: You have people to do that for you. Oh you
- 17:55Speaker 1: didn't go, And now we're getting somebody brought back these
- 18:00Speaker 1: hot dogs. Now you want me to talk about you
- 18:06Speaker 1: see chicken thighs? Forget forget that time. I mean the
- 18:10Speaker 1: real thing is so you see Oscar Maya and just
- 18:14Speaker 1: keep going. You don't stop. No, no, no, no, no no,
- 18:19Speaker 1: they don't have him in there. You know who Askari
- 18:22Speaker 1: my eels though, So Oscar maya getting waggle hot dogs.
- 18:27Speaker 1: They don't Oscar myn not in the stoke. I didn't
- 18:31Speaker 1: even know that. Listen, y'all. Just go to Bristol Farms.
- 18:34Speaker 1: It's a stoke. I didn't even know that. You ain't
- 18:37Speaker 1: got to buy that. It's going now. It just they
- 18:41Speaker 1: just stay up gourmet foods in there. That's what they're
- 18:44Speaker 1: famous for, gourmet foods. So you could go in there
- 18:48Speaker 1: and buy stuff and like played it and set it
- 18:50Speaker 1: out like you did it. This is a great move
- 18:55Speaker 1: for young player. Dudes, play and act like you did it.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Come on, boy, and so let me see. We did
- 19:07Speaker 1: waggle and then my wife made some wag chili. Oh wow,
- 19:11Speaker 1: that sounds good. So instead of she used Wago beef
- 19:15Speaker 1: for the chili. So and then I had whatever and
- 19:19Speaker 1: just a few chicken legs and that's all I did
- 19:22Speaker 1: on the grill. Yet was the beautiful Yeah what grill?
- 19:29Speaker 1: The egg? Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, I just did a
- 19:32Speaker 1: green egg. So my wife bought these buns that she
- 19:37Speaker 1: split butters and puts on the flat top grill, and
- 19:41Speaker 1: then she put the big waggle hot dog on that
- 19:44Speaker 1: and then coverted in waggle chili with the kidney beans
- 19:47Speaker 1: on it, and then sprinkle a little log sliced cheese
- 19:51Speaker 1: on top. I had a chili dog that man, I'm
- 19:55Speaker 1: telling you throw your in the South had had a
- 19:58Speaker 1: chili dog in years. You gotta wigo hot dog? Is
- 20:02Speaker 1: it's not that big? But apparently it is. Cly it
- 20:07Speaker 1: is you. You know, I'm not a big red meat eater,
- 20:13Speaker 1: but no, so I haven't no okay, god, oh but
- 20:18Speaker 1: you gave it to me at no boo. You went
- 20:22Speaker 1: to the well. I didn't go. I went with him.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Oh that's you. You was balling in he was Vegas. Yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 1: you was no time and he was balling. He bought dinner.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I was with him. But did you eat? Yes, but
- 20:41Speaker 1: then you was bowling. They set the wag on fire. Wow,
- 20:47Speaker 1: that was delicious meat. Man. You should have said, I
- 20:51Speaker 1: tried to bite the meat with me. You don't even
- 20:54Speaker 1: need a force that's wanted. The show one day and
- 21:01Speaker 1: I got Ashley Graham, the supermodel on the show, and
- 21:05Speaker 1: we're talking, and so she saw me. They're eating and
- 21:10Speaker 1: she came up behind me and stuck her hand through
- 21:13Speaker 1: the railing and oh my god, Steve Harvey, I've got
- 21:17Speaker 1: to get an autograph. And I was like, so aggravated
- 21:19Speaker 1: I spun around. She said, got you. So she was
- 21:24Speaker 1: trying to explain it, so I said, yeah, I saw,
- 21:27Speaker 1: I was sitting there no booze and she said it's singular,
- 21:31Speaker 1: there's no And I didn't know what to hear she
- 21:35Speaker 1: was talking about. I said, yes, it is because it
- 21:38Speaker 1: don't belong to me, so it's no booze, it's no. Hey, listen,
- 21:44Speaker 1: got ready for Reverend Motown and Deacon death Jam. They're
- 21:47Speaker 1: up next with church complaints. Right after this. You're listening
- 21:52Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up. At the top of
- 21:55Speaker 1: the hour, we'll talk about the Winter Olympics and ms
- 21:57Speaker 1: Anne will be here with Today's National News. But right
- 22:00Speaker 1: now it is watching them. Yeah. Did you see the
- 22:03Speaker 1: young guy who won for snowboarding? Oh yeah, yeah, got
- 22:09Speaker 1: the gold man. Yeah, okay, sure you saw that. I
- 22:14Speaker 1: must be in your report because I was cooking. I
- 22:18Speaker 1: like the Olympics. I watched the Olympics. I watched the Olympics.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I watched figure skating short dance. I watched that. A
- 22:31Speaker 1: young boy, the eighteen year old boy from America. He
- 22:33Speaker 1: got took out because he was raising them grown me
- 22:36Speaker 1: and he just didn't know what he was going to do. Man,
- 22:38Speaker 1: and gangster him on that short track. But he did
- 22:41Speaker 1: good though. He'll be back into it. He got three
- 22:45Speaker 1: Olympics to go. Yeah, he gonna remember this whipping next year.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Next Olympics, he's gonna be something else. But yeah, I've
- 22:53Speaker 1: been watching Olympics going really all right. You know, Korea
- 22:57Speaker 1: and South Korea walked out together that yeah, and Kim
- 23:01Speaker 1: John's sister was sitting very close to the Vice President
- 23:05Speaker 1: of the US who was like playing her really really.
- 23:10Speaker 1: But you know what, man, it's like this though at
- 23:12Speaker 1: the Olympics. I mean, it's just the one time where
- 23:15Speaker 1: you got to you know, look, it's just it's sports.
- 23:18Speaker 1: It's a game. It's an opportunity. I thought since North Korea,
- 23:22Speaker 1: South Korea came out under one flag. They haven't done
- 23:25Speaker 1: that since the war. And I mean, man, that was
- 23:29Speaker 1: like iconic move. And then Pences tried to sit there
- 23:32Speaker 1: and play tough with you, but she's not. He's just
- 23:37Speaker 1: he's just so man. I doe, right, there. But anyway,
- 23:40Speaker 1: they tried to play off and wouldn't shake her hand
- 23:43Speaker 1: or nothing like that, and everybody else up in their
- 23:45Speaker 1: shaking hands to shake the lady hands. Alright, well, Mr
- 23:49Speaker 1: Anna's gonna be here with National nat. One more thing.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Rocket Man wasn't there. He don't leave out the North
- 23:55Speaker 1: because he knows soon as he leaves somebody gonna shoot
- 23:58Speaker 1: this right now, motel taking the church complaints, Oh Lord, today,
- 24:13Speaker 1: as usual we faced the ungrateful horde that is the
- 24:21Speaker 1: congregation complaining, complaining, complain, Ever, talk to me about what
- 24:28Speaker 1: they're grateful for. The lack of gratitude of this congregation
- 24:34Speaker 1: is out of head. What is it not? Deacon sometime today?
- 24:43Speaker 1: You know I'm siding past all right, listen, I be
- 24:47Speaker 1: wheel Chair soccer team ministry wants new tires on their chairs.
- 24:54Speaker 1: They loust to the Holy Rollers last week due to
- 24:57Speaker 1: the slick ties, and they asking if we can actually
- 25:01Speaker 1: go into the budget and get them some new tires
- 25:05Speaker 1: for all of their wheelchairs. Now there's ten members on
- 25:09Speaker 1: the wheelchair soccer Uh, we're a chair soccer team ministry
- 25:13Speaker 1: that we it's up to you pass it if we're
- 25:15Speaker 1: gonna spend this kind of money on the wheelchair Soccer
- 25:19Speaker 1: Team ministry, it's up to you. Well, brother Deacon up
- 25:25Speaker 1: admired the courage. But we fourteen games in and ain't
- 25:33Speaker 1: nobody scored a goal yet. Well, it's due to the tire,
- 25:37Speaker 1: that's what they're saying. Passing. They're saying that if we
- 25:40Speaker 1: would have them uh some new tie, they can score
- 25:43Speaker 1: the goals and win. But at this point, like you said,
- 25:47Speaker 1: we've we've had fourteen games, only twenty games in a
- 25:50Speaker 1: season games and ain't scored yet. And brother and brother
- 25:56Speaker 1: Bob followed me, was right there last week at the goal.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I strew it up and spakeless said kick and he
- 26:06Speaker 1: cannot get to it. Passed. But but they're saying that
- 26:09Speaker 1: their problem is that the tires to slick on the
- 26:14Speaker 1: wheel there. They need more grip with the I don't
- 26:18Speaker 1: see what that had to do with Brother Bartolome getting
- 26:22Speaker 1: that ball in that And you know what, I agree
- 26:24Speaker 1: with the goalie wheel had got caught in the net
- 26:30Speaker 1: on the other side. It was nobody there to block it, right.
- 26:35Speaker 1: But what I'm trying to tell you I had nothing
- 26:39Speaker 1: to do with No, we're not buying wheel. Well, I'll
- 26:43Speaker 1: tell you what I'll tell you what, God, get him
- 26:45Speaker 1: the wheels. Yeah, all right, get him the wheel and
- 26:49Speaker 1: then not passed it. Let me ask you this, Should
- 26:53Speaker 1: we get them the wheel now? I should we wait
- 26:56Speaker 1: right before the next season start, right right? They don't
- 27:00Speaker 1: need to wear any wheels out with these six games,
- 27:06Speaker 1: right right. We're gonna wait to the new seat and
- 27:09Speaker 1: tell them that. All right, so nick, season you will
- 27:13Speaker 1: have wheels, all right? Moving along? They win for the
- 27:16Speaker 1: games they got left. They they're getting new gloves too, Pathew,
- 27:22Speaker 1: and soccer, why do they need new gloves? Well, what
- 27:26Speaker 1: do you think it is pushing the wheels? Boy? Hello,
- 27:30Speaker 1: I wouldn't think, man, I just I'm just thinking soccer.
- 27:33Speaker 1: You can't touch the ball with your hands. But okay,
- 27:37Speaker 1: well let me ask you, so they in the wheelchair,
- 27:41Speaker 1: what they're gonna touch your ball with? Moving on, Beacon
- 27:51Speaker 1: Pastor Livingston, who won the bass fishing competition but got
- 27:57Speaker 1: bit by catfish during the tournament, now wants to suit
- 28:01Speaker 1: the church for his mishap. Now, he did win five
- 28:06Speaker 1: thousand dollars in the first place. Uh, what do we
- 28:09Speaker 1: want to do about him being bit? Uh? Pastor? Because
- 28:13Speaker 1: he wants to sue the church for thirty or five
- 28:16Speaker 1: dollars for his hospital visit. The bite from a catfish
- 28:21Speaker 1: is nothing. They don't possess teeth that they deacon, now
- 28:25Speaker 1: they don't. They just inhale. The problem is that them
- 28:29Speaker 1: fins on the catfish. He didn't get fans. He just
- 28:32Speaker 1: got bit. Right, Well, it's hard for us to do that.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Bass got motif than a catfish, and they're not dangerous
- 28:40Speaker 1: at all. I think you're going to ignore this request
- 28:44Speaker 1: and just let him enjoy the spoils of his victory
- 28:48Speaker 1: for the bass winning the bass out, all right, that's
- 28:52Speaker 1: all he can get from us right here. He's not
- 28:55Speaker 1: getting nothing from us all right. Now. He has another
- 28:57Speaker 1: situation since the mose. They are Rilins, who is turning
- 29:03Speaker 1: eighty six years old, wants to have her baby shower
- 29:07Speaker 1: here at the church next Saturday. She is seven months pregnant.
- 29:13Speaker 1: The sisters are totally against this action, but it's totally
- 29:17Speaker 1: up to you if she can have her baby shower. Now.
- 29:21Speaker 1: See eight is six and seven months pregnant. But we're
- 29:24Speaker 1: not gonna as far as who the father don't know Aboudy.
- 29:31Speaker 1: First of all, digger, let's stop here because the last
- 29:36Speaker 1: time sister Moselle Riley told her she was pregnant. As
- 29:40Speaker 1: I'm assuming as is this is the case again she
- 29:45Speaker 1: actually had a tumor or size of the basketball that
- 29:49Speaker 1: was removed, or sister Mozelle pipes can't produce children's no more.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Half of the hour, miss Anna is gonna be not
- 30:05Speaker 1: because she would pregnant. Latime it again, Miss Anna is
- 30:12Speaker 1: gonna I don't know. Coming up at the top of
- 30:18Speaker 1: the hour, miss Anna is going to be here with
- 30:20Speaker 1: today's national news. Well, yes, yes i am. We'll tell
- 30:33Speaker 1: you about some restaurants that are still serving dog meat
- 30:36Speaker 1: during the Olympics. Yeah, what I gotta tell you about that? Yeah, yeah,
- 30:41Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, listen, guys,
- 30:50Speaker 1: some restaurants are still serving dog meat during the Olympics.
- 30:54Speaker 1: You heard me. They're still serving dog meat. Roof roof,
- 30:58Speaker 1: roof dog meat during the Olympics, because it's dog meat.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Don't get I am gonna do get involved with us.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Let's let us get in trouble. I'm doing it my way,
- 31:14Speaker 1: just like you guys do it your way. But baby, baby, okay,
- 31:20Speaker 1: I'm good. I'm just let us go and get into
- 31:22Speaker 1: I'll stay on tnc just go. Let me just right,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I've art, really because that's barking is not controversial. Some
- 31:39Speaker 1: restaurants are still serving dog meat during the Olympics despite
- 31:43Speaker 1: government requests. Nearly all restaurants in pyeong Chung That's It,
- 31:47Speaker 1: South Korea will continue to sell dog meat during the Olympics.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Of the twelve restaurants in the area, only two have
- 31:55Speaker 1: complied with local authorities, even though they've been offered subsidies
- 31:59Speaker 1: for taking the dish off the menu during the games.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Local business owners feels they shouldn't have to change their
- 32:05Speaker 1: menu to accommodate foreigners. Okay, you're in my house, y'all.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Go just what we eat. This is what we eat,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and you bet not fly your dog over. I've been
- 32:17Speaker 1: selling dog meat for decades. Stop at JR, says Park Young,
- 32:22Speaker 1: a who runs a Young Hun restaurant. His business is
- 32:26Speaker 1: very close to the Olympic stadium. You don't know him
- 32:29Speaker 1: who you don't know him? Young Restaurant Away has a
- 32:44Speaker 1: real joint. Found out he made more money selling dog
- 32:47Speaker 1: in South Korea. His business is very close to real
- 32:57Speaker 1: puffy or lips. It's business is very close to the
- 33:01Speaker 1: Olympic stadium, and he says, it is really difficult for
- 33:04Speaker 1: me to change my menu just because of the Olympics.
- 33:07Speaker 1: And before you freak out, eating dog meat is very
- 33:10Speaker 1: common and legal. I've been knowing that Korea had some
- 33:15Speaker 1: over here. I'm know gonna hear well, I have I
- 33:21Speaker 1: know gonna here. Well, I've been in the restaurant because
- 33:23Speaker 1: I ordered them wheels one time and I said, there
- 33:27Speaker 1: and looked at that. What I was thinking, what cald
- 33:32Speaker 1: what calf for pig? What piglet? Could this have possibly
- 33:36Speaker 1: pit for? I know them things down in the curvage
- 33:41Speaker 1: on them bones was just looked too much, turned them bones,
- 33:47Speaker 1: It looked too much. I gotta ask you this. I
- 33:51Speaker 1: have to ask you. How did it? Yeah, how did
- 33:53Speaker 1: it take? It? Was? It was damn near delicious? Really
- 34:00Speaker 1: pick up the flavor that it was delicious. Spend I
- 34:07Speaker 1: don't know, but we have been known for a long
- 34:10Speaker 1: time that a lot of countries like that sale dog.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I don't know why everybody tripping. Yeah, it's legal in
- 34:17Speaker 1: Korea and it's mostly eaten by older people. Just so
- 34:21Speaker 1: you'll know, it's mostly eaten by older people because it's
- 34:24Speaker 1: believed to have medicinal properties, and they don't. So do
- 34:30Speaker 1: you think you really eating dogs? Well? I did at
- 34:34Speaker 1: the Monolian barbecue, kind of had too much of it
- 34:38Speaker 1: on Tues. It's all you can eat Mongolian barb and
- 34:46Speaker 1: all eat Mongolian cows and pigs in I don't think so. Alright,
- 34:50Speaker 1: Missing is here, Steve Missing is here with our Newslets
- 34:55Speaker 1: lay gentlemen, Missing, you're very much okay. This is and
- 35:00Speaker 1: for the news everybody, And good morning, good Monday morning.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Here we go with the U. S. Senate schedule to
- 35:04Speaker 1: begin debating immigration legislation later on today. Where it is
- 35:07Speaker 1: that most Republicans feel that Donald Trump is gonna sign
- 35:09Speaker 1: just about any bill that they can put together. Senate
- 35:12Speaker 1: Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has promised that he's going to
- 35:14Speaker 1: put a bill on the floor this week and that
- 35:16Speaker 1: the final version will be arrived at Get this the
- 35:19Speaker 1: old fashioned way. We haven't seen that in a long time,
- 35:21Speaker 1: the amendments and votes, none of this other stuff. Both
- 35:24Speaker 1: Democrats and Republicans have been working on a measure that
- 35:26Speaker 1: would be up boarded security U fund Trump's border wall
- 35:30Speaker 1: in exchange for a path to citizenship for the hundreds
- 35:33Speaker 1: of thousands of immigrants brought here illegally has children. Other words,
- 35:36Speaker 1: the dream that you know, the Dream Act, the Data
- 35:37Speaker 1: Act expires in a couple of weeks, so that's why
- 35:40Speaker 1: they have to get down and do something about it,
- 35:42Speaker 1: one way or the other. Meanwhile, the President is to
- 35:44Speaker 1: present his budget proposal for the nation's infrastructure to the
- 35:48Speaker 1: Congress today. Lawmakers passed a spending bill last week that
- 35:51Speaker 1: raises the cap on both military and domestic spending, and
- 35:54Speaker 1: what Trump presents in his budget today does not affect that.
- 35:58Speaker 1: An investigation underway into what caused Russian passenger jet to
- 36:01Speaker 1: crash yesterday. All seventy one passengers and crew have been killed.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Plane heading from Moscow to Risk, which is about ninety
- 36:08Speaker 1: miles east in Israel. The decision is reportedly expected soon
- 36:12Speaker 1: in connection with a corruption investigation into Prime Minister Benjamin
- 36:16Speaker 1: Netton Yahoo. In fact, the report says that there could
- 36:19Speaker 1: be sufficient evidence to bring an indictment. The investigation surrounds
- 36:22Speaker 1: net and Yah, Who's connections with wealthy businessmen and the
- 36:25Speaker 1: gifts that he allegedly received. Sad news, actor Reggie Cathy
- 36:30Speaker 1: has died now. Cathy was perhaps best known as a
- 36:32Speaker 1: political aid Norman Wilson from The Wire wore glasses ballhead.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Reggie Cathy also played Freddie, the owner of the barbecue
- 36:40Speaker 1: Joint on House of Cards. He was fifty nine years old.
- 36:43Speaker 1: In the Winter Olympics this weekend, the US took the
- 36:46Speaker 1: bronze and team figure skating. The US men's luge team
- 36:50Speaker 1: medal for the very very first time in its history.
- 36:52Speaker 1: We have never not the men's team, the women, No,
- 36:54Speaker 1: but not the men. Twenty nine year old Chris Matson,
- 36:56Speaker 1: an up State of Upstate, New York, won the silver,
- 36:59Speaker 1: and he says on NBC conditions were perfect. It's cold,
- 37:02Speaker 1: it's technical. People are messing up. I just went for it,
- 37:04Speaker 1: took as they said, all the training wheels off. I
- 37:07Speaker 1: held it together and it just means everything. By the way,
- 37:10Speaker 1: mets are only missed the gold by about two hundreds
- 37:13Speaker 1: of a second. And so this stuff goes whoo. And
- 37:16Speaker 1: today is National End of a c P Day. It's
- 37:19Speaker 1: also National Safety Pup and Kitten Day. So here we go. Okay, there,
- 37:25Speaker 1: I think it's like tustling a little bit there, now
- 37:26Speaker 1: stop it. Get Eugene the Butterfly coming up. Twenty minutes
- 37:33Speaker 1: after the stay tuned to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:35Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Rain Prior,
- 37:40Speaker 1: Richard Pryor's daughter, is not among those who believe Quincy
- 37:44Speaker 1: Jones claim. We talked about this earlier. Uh, Quincy Jones,
- 37:47Speaker 1: Um uh, he's been ranting on and on and on
- 37:51Speaker 1: about certain things. We talked about this, but Range Range
- 37:54Speaker 1: Prior is not among those who believe Quincy Jones claim
- 37:57Speaker 1: that our father once had sex with Marlon Brando. Quincy
- 38:01Speaker 1: Jones made the shocking claim among many in an interview
- 38:04Speaker 1: with Vulture last week. It seemed to gain some credence
- 38:08Speaker 1: when Quincy last year, I mean, but of course you
- 38:11Speaker 1: don't know everything, now, yeah, I mean, why would anybody
- 38:15Speaker 1: Michael Jackson stole some songs? That's what he says, right,
- 38:19Speaker 1: He in the same business. Okay. Now, ever, didly he
- 38:23Speaker 1: saw the Godfather go by Richard? No, I'm just not.
- 38:29Speaker 1: They didn't say that was at the house. They didn't
- 38:31Speaker 1: say that where was Okay, I was trying to let
- 38:39Speaker 1: him get that out. Did he make him an offer
- 38:42Speaker 1: he couldn't refuse? All right? Prior's widow, Jennifer Lee, has
- 38:46Speaker 1: confirmed it. The Brain says It's just not true, she
- 38:50Speaker 1: writes on Facebook. Q was once a brilliant music producer
- 38:55Speaker 1: who is losing his mind. This is according to Rain,
- 38:58Speaker 1: and I sound like it and decided to garner publicity
- 39:03Speaker 1: for himself with a sensationalized interview, and he spewed out
- 39:07Speaker 1: a lot about my father, who's not here to defend himself. Then,
- 39:10Speaker 1: on top of it all, my dad's so called widow
- 39:13Speaker 1: validated it because she needs to keep legitimizing herself and
- 39:17Speaker 1: tarnish our dad even after he's dead. Rain says, Richard
- 39:22Speaker 1: Pryor's ex wife hated Q, and she hated Richard Pryor.
- 39:26Speaker 1: She said she hated Q and she hated daddy. Well,
- 39:29Speaker 1: you're talking about which one, uh, Jennifer Lee, I mean
- 39:32Speaker 1: not Jennifer. She's been at the forefront of all the
- 39:36Speaker 1: money making schemes and ideas. She's always been that way.
- 39:41Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna go with Rain on this one.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And in a subsequent post a Rain takes a less
- 39:48Speaker 1: combative stance. She says, it's one of his children. I
- 39:51Speaker 1: should not have to defend my brilliant, abused father to anyone.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I mean, Steve, you've said it you're gonna take rainside
- 39:59Speaker 1: on this, I'm going ain't. I mean, it's like this, y'all, wait,
- 40:02Speaker 1: all these years bring this up. The man going, he
- 40:05Speaker 1: can't defend himself, and you know you're just making any statements.
- 40:09Speaker 1: So as we're gonna as we're gonna believe half of
- 40:13Speaker 1: what Quincance saying, then the other part we don't want
- 40:15Speaker 1: to believe what. Either we're gonna believe Quincy or we ain't. No,
- 40:20Speaker 1: It's like this, though, if you're talking about music, you
- 40:23Speaker 1: can discuss music because you're a musical genius yourself. Okay,
- 40:29Speaker 1: everything right there? You ain't been in nobody's how what
- 40:32Speaker 1: what was you there? Okay, here's my question. Why? Why
- 40:35Speaker 1: was my mom was? What was he over there doing?
- 40:39Speaker 1: But my question is this, why is Quincy even coming
- 40:42Speaker 1: out with all of this stuff? Why why you come
- 40:46Speaker 1: out whatever? Thing? I can't see it? All right, we'll
- 40:50Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 40:52Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I understand we have some special guests yea in the studio.
- 41:02Speaker 1: You know, j Anthony Brown ain't here today for some
- 41:06Speaker 1: ungodly reason. But weird. Are you happy about it? Hello,
- 41:14Speaker 1: I'm brother and I'm brother. That's my brother. He's my brother,
- 41:18Speaker 1: and we're brothers. We've been brothers for years. Yeah, we
- 41:23Speaker 1: got the same mama and girlfriend and sisters. That's right.
- 41:29Speaker 1: And that's what you call all in the family right there. Now,
- 41:33Speaker 1: that's right. So we're here today and we're gonna cover
- 41:37Speaker 1: a plectora of topics that's been on y'all's mind, and
- 41:42Speaker 1: we're gonna cover them. We're gonna cover them from the
- 41:44Speaker 1: southern standpoint, right because you know what, it's a lot
- 41:49Speaker 1: of silly city folks, you know New York and the
- 41:54Speaker 1: say in Philadelphia and all those up Nook, Chicago, just
- 41:58Speaker 1: you know, good people, but you need a Southern take
- 42:02Speaker 1: on things. What's going on, Shirley, How are you anyway? Sweets? Hi? Brother,
- 42:07Speaker 1: I'm fine, Thank you? How are you? Oh? Well? All
- 42:10Speaker 1: were good? Were you good? Brother? Brother? I'm good, I'm
- 42:14Speaker 1: very good. Now. I tell you what, I'll tell you
- 42:17Speaker 1: what you and I are the best best Republican Democrats
- 42:24Speaker 1: were right on the middle of the land. Yeah, that's
- 42:26Speaker 1: thing about us. We were Republicans, but we like Democrats
- 42:30Speaker 1: too though. Yeah, we're Republicrats is what we are. No,
- 42:34Speaker 1: it's your new thing. We're called I rep Dems. De Yeah,
- 42:39Speaker 1: we're independent Republican Democrats. So let's go Shirley. What are
- 42:44Speaker 1: you guys? All right? Well, we were just talking on
- 42:46Speaker 1: this Steve Harvey Morning Show about Quincy Jones and some
- 42:50Speaker 1: of the outrageous claims he made in a in an
- 42:53Speaker 1: interview with Vulture Vulture magazine. So he talked about a
- 43:00Speaker 1: lot of stuff. Michael Jackson stole some of his music.
- 43:03Speaker 1: The Beatles were non playing musicians. He right, the Beatles.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I watched them, he's riding. They couldn't play. They looked good,
- 43:12Speaker 1: they're handsome, but they couldn't play with all they had
- 43:16Speaker 1: with her. Yeah, they had her. All they had with
- 43:23Speaker 1: her shaking and all that they was London boys, that's
- 43:27Speaker 1: all they was just new little tight fitted pants come
- 43:30Speaker 1: over here. They couldn't play with now where you have
- 43:34Speaker 1: a fiddle, you have a still good tar. Ain't nobody
- 43:38Speaker 1: have a folk good tar. They don't come out here
- 43:41Speaker 1: making the heads come on, cut down, cut out. Quinchy
- 43:46Speaker 1: was a nice guy. I don't know why he said
- 43:48Speaker 1: all these things, like he just come out of nowhere
- 43:52Speaker 1: with it and let it quin you're talking about you
- 43:55Speaker 1: talking about the secret Garden. You just came out and
- 43:59Speaker 1: let it up. Well, well, hell now we know where
- 44:04Speaker 1: that song comes from. You know what. We also did
- 44:09Speaker 1: a story about how some of the restaurant owners in
- 44:12Speaker 1: South are you going too fast? You didn't say nothing
- 44:15Speaker 1: about the story about Donald Trump's daughter, Oh, Ivanka Trump? Evin,
- 44:21Speaker 1: what we cower? Her name is? Ivanka Trump? Should have
- 44:27Speaker 1: been okay? Well, Quincy said that he dated her and
- 44:31Speaker 1: she had fantastic legs, the most beautiful legs. Well, she's
- 44:34Speaker 1: got nice legs. That's all that, right, But what was
- 44:36Speaker 1: she wrote with Quincy at that point, quite quite some
- 44:43Speaker 1: time ago, some years ago? Well, how is she's don't
- 44:49Speaker 1: nobody know that? Looking up right? Quick? Monica? You not
- 44:52Speaker 1: doing nothing over there? Playing candy crush? Probably that's what
- 44:58Speaker 1: she did. She's not girl. Okay. I thought she was
- 45:03Speaker 1: like thirty five, but she's thirty six. She's thirty six.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Now why would she won a date Quincy? Fifteen years ago?
- 45:13Speaker 1: She was baby? Yeah, we got enough time dig off
- 45:21Speaker 1: in this lack. We won't too, but I like to
- 45:24Speaker 1: dig in. I'm sorry, Well, let's do what are we
- 45:27Speaker 1: doing next? Shirley. Oh, we have a prank phone call
- 45:30Speaker 1: that we have to play, and that's coming up right
- 45:33Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 45:41Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 45:43Speaker 1: four minutes after today's Strawberry letters. All right, but up
- 45:47Speaker 1: next the nephew is right here with today's prank phone call.
- 45:50Speaker 1: What you got? Sure? This is what we call small
- 45:54Speaker 1: face small he did it to see see shirt didn't
- 46:05Speaker 1: but did nobody saying nothing like that, but we were
- 46:08Speaker 1: thinking it small favor. You ain't get no taller yelling hello,
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Vicky. Vicky, Hey, Vicky, how are
- 46:26Speaker 1: you doing? Are you the Are you the niece of uhh?
- 46:32Speaker 1: I think it's at your aunt? Yes, okay, and you're
- 46:38Speaker 1: you know you aren't passed away? I mean I mean
- 46:40Speaker 1: years ago, y'all passed. It was about five years ago. Okay, listen,
- 46:45Speaker 1: I don't over here at the funeral home. Uh my,
- 46:48Speaker 1: my my sister just passed away, and uh they gave
- 46:53Speaker 1: me your phone number, did you guys? We're going through
- 46:57Speaker 1: a little bit of a situation here, did you guys?
- 46:59Speaker 1: Aren't you know your aunt was a heavy set woman.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Is that right. Okay, Now they had to did they
- 47:07Speaker 1: have to put her in a in a Did they
- 47:09Speaker 1: have a bit of a special casket for her? Yeah, okay,
- 47:13Speaker 1: that's what we're kind of going through with my sister.
- 47:15Speaker 1: We ordered a special casket for for for my sister,
- 47:21Speaker 1: and uh, I'm assuming this is the same thing that
- 47:23Speaker 1: you guys went through. I called several of her, her children,
- 47:27Speaker 1: but I wasn't able to get in touch with anybody.
- 47:29Speaker 1: But the funeral home actually had your name on file
- 47:31Speaker 1: as well, so they gave me your number where I
- 47:34Speaker 1: would be able to talk to you. Is that is that? Okay, Yeah,
- 47:38Speaker 1: that's okay, you can speak to me, but you know,
- 47:40Speaker 1: let's things to be a problem. Well listen, uh we
- 47:44Speaker 1: we The funeral is actually in two days and we
- 47:48Speaker 1: ordered one of those special caskets, but it doesn't look
- 47:51Speaker 1: like it's gonna be in for another week, so you know,
- 47:55Speaker 1: it's almost like we're gonna, we're gonna we're not gonna
- 47:57Speaker 1: have a casket for her, you know, for the funeral.
- 48:02Speaker 1: And you know that, like I said, the funeral home
- 48:04Speaker 1: told us about you know that you guys were the
- 48:06Speaker 1: last ones that ordered a casket of that size and
- 48:09Speaker 1: you know, me and the rest of the family has
- 48:12Speaker 1: been you know, we've been trying to figure out what
- 48:13Speaker 1: to do and what to do. Do you think it's
- 48:16Speaker 1: any way possible we can borrow the casket that your
- 48:21Speaker 1: Ain't is in, and then when the casket comes in
- 48:25Speaker 1: and we ordered, we can put her in that casket
- 48:29Speaker 1: and put her back down to rest like she's always been.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Do you think that's excuse me? Hello, hello, Thin, could
- 48:38Speaker 1: you repeat yourself? What exactly how are you asking me? Well,
- 48:42Speaker 1: what I'm saying is, do you think we can borrow
- 48:44Speaker 1: your ain't casket? Because you know, the funerals in two
- 48:48Speaker 1: days and the casket is not gonna be in in
- 48:51Speaker 1: order for us to be able to bury her in
- 48:53Speaker 1: a in a casket for you know, to accommodate her size.
- 48:56Speaker 1: That's when I'm asked, what kind of your talking about?
- 49:01Speaker 1: First of all, who is this? Okay? No, my name
- 49:03Speaker 1: is Larry, Like I said, My name is Larry. I
- 49:05Speaker 1: got you, I got you guys. Like I said. I
- 49:07Speaker 1: tried to call some of her kids, but nobody ever
- 49:10Speaker 1: picked up when I called. Yeah, her nieces number all
- 49:15Speaker 1: file to you. You are her niece, Vicky, right, Yes,
- 49:18Speaker 1: I am Okay, that's what I'm saying. Do you think
- 49:22Speaker 1: that maybe you can talk to the children and see
- 49:25Speaker 1: if we can maybe used that particular casket. Okay, wait
- 49:29Speaker 1: a minute, what the talking about this? The First of all,
- 49:32Speaker 1: who who is this? You? You gotta be losing your
- 49:35Speaker 1: man if you think I'm gonna let you dig up
- 49:37Speaker 1: my any just to bury yourself stuff. But understand where
- 49:41Speaker 1: you're coming from. But what I'm trying to say is
- 49:43Speaker 1: that we don't have a casket, bigg enough and they
- 49:46Speaker 1: were they they let us know that you guys were
- 49:48Speaker 1: the last ones that had a casket that you know,
- 49:51Speaker 1: what were gonna do with us? Dash? You don't truck
- 49:54Speaker 1: stuff figuring out? Have you? No? No? Well, okay, first
- 49:58Speaker 1: of all, what I'm trying to it was this the
- 50:00Speaker 1: family been grieving pretty hard and I just wanted to
- 50:03Speaker 1: make sure that the funeral will be right. And it
- 50:05Speaker 1: ain't gonna be right, and we don't we don't bring
- 50:08Speaker 1: my family gonna feel dig in my amy of you.
- 50:11Speaker 1: They don't call me with this. Who is the funeral
- 50:16Speaker 1: home that gave you my number to add me to
- 50:19Speaker 1: use the casket so you can bury your sister? Who
- 50:22Speaker 1: is the name of that person. I can't remember, but
- 50:24Speaker 1: it was it was. It was the guy the funeral
- 50:26Speaker 1: director let me know that you guys had went through
- 50:29Speaker 1: a situation where you have to bury your your your
- 50:31Speaker 1: your aunt. Like I said, I tried to call what's
- 50:34Speaker 1: your name again? My name is Larry. Okay, Larry, this
- 50:38Speaker 1: is this is I don't know what, give you my
- 50:41Speaker 1: phone number to call me asking you just done? Can
- 50:44Speaker 1: you believe they call her asking me the can Bury
- 50:49Speaker 1: that's don't have a casset? Hello, No, no, what what's
- 50:56Speaker 1: your fault? No? I understand it's not your fault. What
- 50:59Speaker 1: I'm trying to say is wh y'all show some sympathy
- 51:01Speaker 1: and some love for me and my family going through
- 51:04Speaker 1: because we don't have a cask Like I say, my suster,
- 51:07Speaker 1: my souster wasn't was you know? Was that if the
- 51:09Speaker 1: heaven was a heaven ship? You know, my conduleces go
- 51:13Speaker 1: out to you and your family. You know, I'm trying
- 51:15Speaker 1: to be as reserved as I can with this whole situation.
- 51:19Speaker 1: But do you understand what kind of stupid you're asking
- 51:22Speaker 1: me right now to actually dig up my un whose
- 51:25Speaker 1: army who's been at for fun yees? Because bury your sister,
- 51:30Speaker 1: because let me let me ask you this like this,
- 51:36Speaker 1: if we you that you ain't ain't gonna know she
- 51:38Speaker 1: ain't gonna know who you for you to say to
- 51:42Speaker 1: me what your stupid? You're talking on you smoking crack,
- 51:49Speaker 1: what I don't know more? First of all, you know
- 51:53Speaker 1: what I First, I appreciate you trying to work with me,
- 51:56Speaker 1: but I want to say this is you. You don't
- 51:57Speaker 1: even have the authority to make that decee if you
- 52:00Speaker 1: give me one of the numbers to one of your
- 52:02Speaker 1: cupsins because I was really trying to be nice and
- 52:06Speaker 1: be calm. But guess what, we're not doing this stupid.
- 52:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to be nice to you and tell and
- 52:11Speaker 1: trying to help you out, but no, you want me
- 52:13Speaker 1: to get ignorant and ask stupid with you. I was
- 52:16Speaker 1: trying to be nice and sympathetic. We're not doing it.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I'm not giving you the number. I got the authority
- 52:22Speaker 1: to tell you right now. We're not digging up so
- 52:26Speaker 1: you can bury yourseluf stuff. Okay, so so so so, so,
- 52:30Speaker 1: that's just it. I can't talk to now, that's it.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Now you weren't talking to but you're talking to me Okay,
- 52:35Speaker 1: I got, I got, I got something else. I need

- 53:23Speaker 1: the land, Steve Harvey Morning for y'all? All right, dad, there, see,
- 53:30Speaker 1: when you want somebody to dig up somebody that's been
- 53:34Speaker 1: buried for quite some time, you know what I'm saying,
- 53:37Speaker 1: it's it's well, it's not an all type, but it's
- 53:42Speaker 1: just a small favor. You just want somebody to dig
- 53:45Speaker 1: them up so we can. It's a small favor, that's
- 53:50Speaker 1: all I'm saying. That's all I'm going to try and take.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Have y'all ever not ever had a body dug back up?
- 53:58Speaker 1: The only one, You're the only one. In the words
- 54:02Speaker 1: of Charlie Wilson, the onliest one between only is one
- 54:08Speaker 1: and fishes in the deep blues. How's your CD doing
- 54:14Speaker 1: at Walmart? My CD doing good Walmart? That's right, it's
- 54:18Speaker 1: called it's called won't he do it? Won't he do it?

- 54:39Speaker 1: All right, it's time for today's Strawberry Letter. And if

- 54:45Speaker 1: please submit your letter to Steve Harvey f M dot com.
- 54:48Speaker 1: That's Steve Harvey f M dot com. We could reach
- 54:52Speaker 1: your letter on the air. Nephew. Let's go buckle up
- 54:57Speaker 1: and hold down, tied. We got it. Pollo you here,
- 55:03Speaker 1: that's the brother right there. All right, subject, let's get
- 55:07Speaker 1: it started. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am I am darn
- 55:12Speaker 1: near fifty years old and my wife. Okay, you're not
- 55:17Speaker 1: gonna stop. You're gonna stop doing that with these letters.
- 55:20Speaker 1: You are just like the cuss. Okay, just say it's
- 55:25Speaker 1: not your customers what they see. I am darn near
- 55:27Speaker 1: fifty years old and my wife. Let me, were you
- 55:31Speaker 1: watching CNN when Donald Trump made the s whole comment
- 55:35Speaker 1: about Haiti and Africa? Every comment taken upon themselves to
- 55:39Speaker 1: take an advantage of that situation because it's journalism, alright,
- 55:45Speaker 1: and started being a professional journalist. I am darn near
- 55:49Speaker 1: fifty years old and my wife is forty. We've been
- 55:52Speaker 1: married for almost ten years and have two children, both
- 55:56Speaker 1: under the age of five. I want to make sure
- 55:58Speaker 1: you all have a detail. First of all, I love
- 56:02Speaker 1: my wife, but it's in all caps. B ut all caps.
- 56:07Speaker 1: But here is the problem. If I want some cookie,
- 56:11Speaker 1: I have to initiate it per cent of the time.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Sometimes she will, but it is rare to me, rare
- 56:19Speaker 1: for me. I don't want to feel like I am
- 56:21Speaker 1: forcing her to do something she doesn't want to do. However,
- 56:24Speaker 1: I think we're both young enough to have the time
- 56:27Speaker 1: of our lives. I have often gone to bed frustrated
- 56:30Speaker 1: with the lack of cookie in our life. I have
- 56:33Speaker 1: gone to bed naked. I have purchased her sexual sexy lingerie,
- 56:38Speaker 1: which she does not wear. I have even told her
- 56:41Speaker 1: that sometimes she can initiate the sex, but nothing changes.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I think she doesn't feel confident in her bedroom skills.
- 56:48Speaker 1: But this leaves me frustrated too often or thinking I
- 56:52Speaker 1: am just horrible in bed. She acts like I am
- 56:55Speaker 1: the best in the world when we do engage, but
- 56:57Speaker 1: why doesn't she initiated more often? I feel like she
- 57:00Speaker 1: should come and talk to me and tell me I
- 57:02Speaker 1: am not as good in bed as I think I am.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I have never cheated on my wife and I have
- 57:07Speaker 1: no plans to. But I can't keep going to sleep
- 57:10Speaker 1: sexually frustrated. What else can I do to have her
- 57:14Speaker 1: make the first move? Or am I stuck making the
- 57:17Speaker 1: first move forever? Please help? UM? Well, I mean you
- 57:22Speaker 1: might have to you you might have to. I mean,
- 57:27Speaker 1: if you want it, you have to go after what
- 57:29Speaker 1: you want. You've talked to her about it. Uh, you
- 57:31Speaker 1: do it of the time that five percent of the time.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Maybe that's all you'll have for now. Maybe she is
- 57:38Speaker 1: uncomfortable uh sexually and maybe you have to keep going
- 57:41Speaker 1: until she gets more comfortable, or you know, maybe she'll
- 57:45Speaker 1: never get more comfortable. Maybe it was the way she
- 57:48Speaker 1: was raised. You never know unless you guys do have
- 57:50Speaker 1: some honest communication about your you know, uh, sexual life
- 57:55Speaker 1: or lack thereof. So you're gonna have to talk to her.
- 57:57Speaker 1: I mean, I know you want these changes, um, but
- 58:01Speaker 1: you it's your wife. You guys are married. You can talk,
- 58:05Speaker 1: you can communicate, You can tell her what you like
- 58:07Speaker 1: and what you don't like. You can keep starting it
- 58:10Speaker 1: and starting it. You want to feel like she finds
- 58:13Speaker 1: you attractive too, But when you do, she's cool with it.
- 58:18Speaker 1: You said, she acts like you're the best in the world.
- 58:20Speaker 1: So you know, maybe you guys are going to have
- 58:23Speaker 1: to compromise and come to some sort of agreement right there,
- 58:26Speaker 1: meet in the middle somewhere. But talking and communicating is first.
- 58:30Speaker 1: I would say, Steve, well, well, well, well, well he
- 58:35Speaker 1: goes naked, here we go. Yeah, yeah, the married man's plight. Yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 1: let's talk about this for a minute. He fifty, she foughty?
- 58:51Speaker 1: Is that what he's saying that he damned? Neil fifty
- 58:58Speaker 1: his wife Foughty have been married ten years. They got
- 59:01Speaker 1: two kids, both the age of under the age of
- 59:07Speaker 1: five senior. He said, I want to make sure you
- 59:11Speaker 1: have all the details, was sir, right now, I need
- 59:14Speaker 1: to make sure you got all the details too, because see,
- 59:18Speaker 1: two kids under five ain't nothing sexy about that. Kids
- 59:29Speaker 1: is mood killers, Kids is buzz killers, Kids is blockers.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Kids is in the way kids create interference. That's what
- 59:49Speaker 1: kids is. So now that you wanted us to have
- 59:52Speaker 1: the details, I just wanted to throw that at you.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Now you say, first you love my life wife. But
- 59:58Speaker 1: here's the problem. If I want some cookie, I gotta
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: initiate nine at the time, I would venture to say,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I would just venture to say that that's ninety five
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: of the marital situation today, I would venture to say.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I could be wrong, but that's just an opinion of mine.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I think in a marriage, once them kids is here,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: that is usually the man that's trying to initiate ninety
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: at the time in nine manages, not as that other thing.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: That's some woman listening to Uh, I can't keep my
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: hands off the mind. Well, we're not married to you,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and you ain't in this letter. I'm glad you exist,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: but I ain't got time to go find nobody else.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I got jobs, I got a legacy I'm working on
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: in a family, I'm trying to maintain that whole together.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: So now sometimes she will, but it's rare for me.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: I don't want to feel like I'm forcing her to
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: do something she don't want to do. However, I think
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: we're both young enough to have the time of our lives.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: I've often gone to bed frustrated with the lack of
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: cookie in our life. I have gone to bed naked.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: That ain't nothing for me. I'm in that naked and night.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I go to bed naked because I can't afford to
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: having stuff getting twisted and wrapped up on me. I
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: got immovable objects that's rare that can't get tugged and
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: tossed on it. But I sleep naked just in case,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Just in case. Be ready, stay ready. I have purchased
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: her sexy lingeriate what she does not wear. I've told
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: her that sometimes she can initiate sex, but nothing changes.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I think she doesn't feel confident in her bedroom skills. Dog,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: it's them damn kids, Them kids is wearing her hass out.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You got two kids under five, Dog, you got to
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: understand these kids is wearing this po woman out. She
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: ain't got time for you. Alright, Steve, I want this
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: damn dog out our house. We just bought off in here.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: How about that personal now, I'm sorry after We'll be
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: right back. You're listening Steve Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: come on, let's get to it part two of your
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: man right here. He fitted his wife for that. They
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: got two kids under five, and he frustrated because he's
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: going to bed naked because she won't initiate sex. He
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: got initiated the town. Now before I left, what I
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: tried to point out to the man, what you tried
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: to tell us at the beginning of the letter. What
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: so we have all the fact that they have two
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: kids under five. It's them damn kids, them kids. It's
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: way and this woman out them kids in something else.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I'll give you an example. When the grandkids come over
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: our house, there ain't even our kids no more. I
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: got rid of all our kids. I thought they was gone.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: But now when they come back, they bring more people
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: with them. They called grandkids. They sleep in the bed
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: with us, which kills my sleeping naked. Can't sleep naked
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: with the grand baby in the baby. Them kids is
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: mood killers. They block us them kids is actually birth control.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Maybe your wife ain't so and and c to get
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: up on you because she don't want no more kids.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: That could be she threw with deep kids. She got
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: these two babies under five, you laying over here naked.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: She set up in here, man. Then Jeff put him
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: to sleep. She tried to get some rest because she
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: got to go deal with these kids. That could be it. Man,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I would venture to say that that's probably it. Now,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: what are you you would like for her to initiate
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: this a little bit more. That ain't gonna happen. That's
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: all he wants. I mean, you know what. Look, we
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: would all like five girl to be a little bit
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: more forced for hey baby, you know. But for the
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: most part in the manager's usually the man that's initiating it.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Usually ain't that right, Sherlet's see what I'm saying, because
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: showing up at the house playing the same damn game,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: same damn game. What okay? Well all right then, all
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: right then, my ain't I don't won't know? All right? Then? Here?
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: That ain't what I won't. I want some hot fire,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: give it, Tell your damn clothes off. That's what a
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: man won't now. The man said, ain't never cheated on
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: his wife. He has no plans on it. Well, you
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: gotta fix something at the house. But it's them damn
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: kids though. It's just like now our house is this
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: damn dog. You guys have a new dog, right, yeah,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: we got a new dog. Bad he blocking you keep
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: talking about this dog. I didn't ask for the dog.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: You ain't never heard me ask for a dog's black ass. Bad.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: I want to get off barbecue and smoke cigar. Drake Scott,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: That's what I want to do when I get off.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Didn't work with the Doberman. It's scared of his ask
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I wish I wouldn't. What I'm not going to do
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: it be scared in my house. So it's the kids dog.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Ain't nothing you can do. You'ren't about the lingerie. You
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: want her to come on to you like she did
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: when she was trying to get you, but them days
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: is probably gone. All You're gonna have to invest in
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: some money to get them kids sent away somewhere. No,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I didn't mean it. I meant like a like a babysitter,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: something like the nanny or something like that, or hell
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: board school. You're gonna have to wear what people get
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: their kids sent to boarding school all the time, all
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: the time. This ain't it ain't against the law. That
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: ain't what you wanta do. You want to have your
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: kids close You want to sent on to boarding school
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: so you can have more sex. Yeah, I wish I
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: had thought of that, but I didn't because I would
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: have missed raising my boys and girls. So I I
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: want them close by because I want to steal some things,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: and that boarding school is unable too, and I've done that.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: They're not perfect for the hell, I wouldn't even now
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: back to this letter. This how it is, though, Yeah,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: it's just how it is. Welcome to marriage, one oh one.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I tell you right now you can quit going to
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: bed Nike, stop because the damn kids gonna walk in.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: They're getting about the bed. You're asking that naked, and
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: it's hard because you don't sleep with a bath tower
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: next to the bench. So now you got to get
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: up in the baby seeing you daddy neked walk into
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: the room and then you didn't say if you was
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: in shape or not. Maybe just walk to the back.

- 1:27:25Speaker 1: me and smile. I can't get you anything else. And
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: I'm just sitting at the bar eating watching TV. So
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: we got to talking and laughing. It got late. I
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: ain't got nowhere to go, so I'm just in there.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Just talking is not an option. You don't have a

- 1:28:26Speaker 1: her on a Friday at a Fridays I got me
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: a little bit of money this gig I had worked.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: So I'm having a meal at the ball. I'm talking
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: to manager. Let me stay till its old way. I
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: walk into a car, get a phone number, so I'm
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: still in town. She coming to work every day. I'm
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: seeing her. I stopped in for lunch. I'm getting not
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: just stop being give me my iced tea at the ball.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Try to walk out without paying for stuff like that.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: I'm just hustling. So it's Valentine's Day. I've been that Friday, Sadday, Sunday, Monday,
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: valid times days later on that week. So she says,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: so I'm afraid to ask you this, but what are
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: you doing for Valentine's Day. I said, hopefully you said that. Yeah,
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: I'm single, dog, come on hopefully you and whatever you
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: like to do. She said, oh my god, are you single?
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: I said yeah? She said where you live? I said,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: you know I travel. I'm a comedian, so I travel.
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: You know. You know I live in Cleveland. But what's
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: your last place? I had, so I ain't lied in
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: the attic. So she says, well, after I get off work,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: why don't you pick me up? And boys, she got
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: out that Friday uniform, and I put on one of

- 1:30:16Speaker 1: outn't found this spot like a storage that you could
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: get for like a dollar fifty a day. So I
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: put all the stuff in it so she wouldn't see
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: my cool and clothes and all this help. I couldn't
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: let it because this is my house to now. So
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: I got me a little storage being for a dollar
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: fifty a day, put all my stuff in there. So
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: she wouldn't notice it. I pick up and we go
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: to Denny's. So soon we pulled up in the parking lot.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: She said, um, why are we here? And I said,
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: we're going in the eating because this is all I
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: got money for. Man, hold up, you don't even understand.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: I missed an eighth the other day in your restaurant.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Now we we can't be due to three restaurants in
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: a week. This can't happen. We gotta go in here
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: and get the grand slam for dollar and nine. I'm
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: already well and I'm not gonna eat. I love your
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: post side. So she looked reluctant, and I get it,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: but this is all I got. I spent the whole
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: time looking at her forehead because her head was just down.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: And then you know, the food came. Man, and we're talking,
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: and she picked it through the food. I said hey,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: I say, hey, what's wrong? She said, Can I be
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: honest with you? I said yeah. She said, I was
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: really I was really expecting something else. I said, well,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: what do you mean by that? I wanted to go
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: somewhere nice. I'm thinking to myself, I'm homeless. This is
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: so damn nice. Lights is on menus wait staff. You
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: don't even understand how nice. Let's you want to go
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: out here and cut some bologna. I just damn keep.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: She just said, hang on, Steve, I know there's more.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: I like this story. All right, listen, we'll be back
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: to close out the show. And then just one more thing.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: Steve is going to finish this story. This is getting Yeah,
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back. You're listening here we are,
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: look at us at the end of the show. Let
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: me finish this. Met this girl when I was homeless.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: She was a waitress at Friday's. We got to talk
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: and I went up. They had lunch with about three
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: four days in a row. It's approaching Valentine's Day. She
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: asked me what I'm doing. I said, nothing. Is me
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: and her. She go to work on Friday. She get
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: off that night. I pick up. She dressed real nice.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: I put one more show outfits on. We pull up
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: at the Dennis. She in the car look as said,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: why are we here? I said that where we're gonna eat?
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: She seemed reluctant. She went on in I'm looking at
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: her forehead the whole time. So we get out to
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: this part right here, I said, what's wrong? She said, well,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: I was really expecting something different. I said, what do
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: you mean by that? She said, I really want to
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: go somewhere really nice going. You know, I'm homeless. You
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: had no idea how this is. I just damn the
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: full season right now, this, right now, we're a five
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: star because unless you want to go out here and
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: eat out this cool I got. I can go to
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: storage and get this cool out and I gotta roll
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: a bologne and with the red tape around it that
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: I've been eating off for a month now. But I said,
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: now I'm sitting all the time. She said, well, I
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: don't think this relationship can continue. M H. I said, really,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: why is that? She said, because I don't. I don't
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: want to go backwards. I've made something out of myself.
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: You know what. I'm sitting there saying, you're waitress at
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: Fried This, This, this is what you've been shooting for
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: the whole time. This is your dream. I mean, I
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: know I'm in bad shape. You don't know this yet,
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: but I gotta story for your ass. I don't know
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: why we set up been here, so I said, so,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: I said, so your dream is to work in Fridays
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: she said, yes, you know, it's just something I've always
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: wanted to do. I'm gonna manage her Friday's one day,
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: and then I'm gonna own one. I said this slick.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: I thought she met you that already. She said, how
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: about you? And I just got tired of holding up.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: I said, really, I ain't got nothing right now? I said,
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing. I said, I'm out. I'm pursuing
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: my dream. She said, what is that? I saw imna
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: become a world famous comedian one day? That help of laughs.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: I'm talking about them like you laugh. I'm talking about
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: I'm looking at him man like I ain't just ain't
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: no damn Joe, And I'm looking at the ship bit back.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: I ain't had no expression the whole time. Just how
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: you're gonna be a world famous comedian like you mean,
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: like Richard Brown? Yeah? Just she looks so ugly to me.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Then I said, wait a minute, hold up, I said,
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: why that sounds so far fetter you? She said, you
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: just told me you ain't got nothing. She said, so
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: how are you gonna get from from here to that? Wow?
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: I said, wait a minute, I said, hold up. You're
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: the waitress at Fried damn one step from me. I said, So,
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: now that's entry level position. How you going on one
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: one day? I said, I said, because that's your dream,
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: that's how you're gonna get that. I didn't laugh at
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: you when you said you was gonna do that, but
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: a world famous comedian, you need to bring it down
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: a little bit, brother, and be a little bit more realistic.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: I said to me, that is realistic. She said, But
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: you had to bottom right now, I said, ain't nowhere
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: for me to go. But I'm looking at this half,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden I started seeing stuff
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: wrong with it. You know, I'm looking at everything wrong
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: with that, and all the money, even ass teeth, sitting
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: up a lot of love, laughing your head back, all
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: the teeth. And now that had just noticed when you
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: locked laugh your head. But one of your teeth is
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: I said, you know, I do like good teeth. I said,
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: I'm looking at all these flaws on this half. Yea, man,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: this powder on got a couple of dots on the No. Yeah,
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: so now I see what's wrong with you? Said, I'm
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: looking at little chipped up fining the help polishing stuff,
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: hold up a little half dust to help. I should
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: have been here to dream killing ass. I came to
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: so I just said, I said, well, you know, I
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: guess this ain't gonna work out. I said, but one
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: day though, yeah, I said, one day. She said, one
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: day you'll be eating in my fridays. I said, well
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: that one day your fridays. I have my ass up
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: on that TV. Yeah. Wow, I don't love hers came true,
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: but I beat my ass to be v Hello what
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: they do? God, good, God, make your dreaming come true? Thing?
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: Oh God, pick you up, turn you around when everybody
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: else see you down, when somebody think you ain't gonna
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: make it, when the nay says say there is no
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: chance for you. M h, What do they know about you?
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: When troubles calm as sometimes they will, oh, when your
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: face with adversity. But let me tell you this, he's
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: on down. You're gonna get written off many times in
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: your life. You will be told what you will never
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: be in your life. But the one thing, for shure,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: the only one that can determine your outcome is you
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: and your God. You don't have to listen to nobody.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: You got to learn how to shake the haters, because
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: guess what, you have a future and a destiny, and
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: it's tied to your imagination. It is tied to those
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: visions you keep having of yourself that you find it
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: hard to explain to other people. You know, something you
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: ever had, something happen to when you're gonna, man, I
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: just see that. Doesn't see that for my life so clear?
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: And then you're going you explain it to somebody and
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: then they shoot it down. Well, what I had to
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: learn was you can't tell your big dreams to small
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: minded people. You can't tell your big dreams to small
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: minded people. They have a tendency of shooting it down. Well,
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: the reason they shooting it down is they don't mean
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: no harm. It's just they can't see it. Because, as
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: Albert Einstein wants said, imagination is everything. It's the preview
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: to life's coming attractions. That's real. Tough, y'all have a
