- 0:00Speaker 1: My next guest is in the studio with me. I
- 0:01Speaker 1: always love it when you come in. He's a husband, father, singer, songwriter, actor,
- 0:06Speaker 1: in philanthropists he has gathered. He has garnered many awards
- 0:09Speaker 1: and honors since entering the music business in including a
- 0:13Speaker 1: Grammy Award, MTV Video Music Award, to multi platinum albums
- 0:18Speaker 1: and one platinum album and to Go albums. He's in
- 0:21Speaker 1: studio to talk about Q Parker Productions, Q Parker Legacy Foundation,
- 0:28Speaker 1: the Bridge Project and to shift into music with a purpose.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Please work with the money making conversation. Q Parker, what's
- 0:36Speaker 1: going on? Thank you nephew. When before we got on
- 0:43Speaker 1: and go look at it man, I hope you don't
- 0:44Speaker 1: think you just just saw me for a short term.
- 0:46Speaker 1: You're gone off. This is not a one off and
- 0:49Speaker 1: that's important. Uh. I'm from Houston, Texas. I'm originally from there.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I moved here to Atlanta in two thousand seven and
- 0:56Speaker 1: my headquarters is in Atlanta, so you have access to
- 0:59Speaker 1: years qualifying I'm here. You know one of us. Now.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I drove by the game on Sunday and I saw
- 1:07Speaker 1: I didn't know that many black people went to the
- 1:08Speaker 1: Atlanta Factor game. I was. I was actually stunned that way.
- 1:11Speaker 1: This is a black game. This is feeling like I
- 1:13Speaker 1: was an HCU game black people, and so I know
- 1:18Speaker 1: about the Atlanta. Now let's talk about you, your career,
- 1:21Speaker 1: your brand. That you said shift in music, talk about
- 1:24Speaker 1: that first, because that's that's that's that's really your base. Okay.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Shifting music simply means connecting with your purpose and understanding that, uh,
- 1:34Speaker 1: your gift will make room for you. And I've been
- 1:37Speaker 1: able to be in the music entertainment industry for over
- 1:40Speaker 1: twenty years and to now make music that is going
- 1:45Speaker 1: to impact people in a more positive way, you know.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Being a teenager myself with my group members, we made
- 1:52Speaker 1: songs that just we're you know, real life situations, um relationships,
- 1:58Speaker 1: fantasies at some time. However, now understanding that I have
- 2:04Speaker 1: generation that's behind me looking and watching every step, I'm
- 2:08Speaker 1: very very connected to our young man and the youth
- 2:10Speaker 1: men's movement, and so everything that I do, I want
- 2:13Speaker 1: to make sure that my son who is fifteen years old,
- 2:16Speaker 1: as well as this next generation are fully fully equipped
- 2:19Speaker 1: um to be able to sustain themselves. And one of
- 2:21Speaker 1: the most influential pieces of information is music and so
- 2:26Speaker 1: all the music that I make, I wanted to be uplifting, empowering,
- 2:29Speaker 1: UM and fill with a lot of love and passion.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Are we talking I want to say, are we talking
- 2:34Speaker 1: gospel inspirational? Well, I just say that it's inspirational, Okay.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I grew up in the church, so that's always a
- 2:40Speaker 1: part of um. And so no matter where I go,
- 2:42Speaker 1: even when we were doing when I was doing the
- 2:45Speaker 1: R and B stuff with my group, there were always
- 2:48Speaker 1: a gospel inspirational field in all of the one to
- 2:51Speaker 1: Well music, no matter what it was. So that's always
- 2:54Speaker 1: a part of me. But today my music is I
- 2:57Speaker 1: would just corn it as it's it's on my heart.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It's the gift that God put inside of me. So
- 3:03Speaker 1: sometimes it may come out as a love song, it
- 3:05Speaker 1: may come out as a full gospel song, but then
- 3:07Speaker 1: it may just come out as something that's just inspiring individuals.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It's really interesting. I know that I'm still living a life,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and my life is changing every day, and people always
- 3:17Speaker 1: marvel at how I'm able to reinvent myself. You know,
- 3:21Speaker 1: a lot of people call me a renaissance man because
- 3:23Speaker 1: I am able to do a lot of things simultaneously.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And I do them well. I put focus on each one.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I don't just do things just to be doing things.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'm looking at a renaissance man here, I'm looking at
- 3:32Speaker 1: a multitasking individual. When did that just start to evolve
- 3:36Speaker 1: into your into your being? Q Parker when I was
- 3:40Speaker 1: seventeen years old. Uh. I Sometimes I call Puff Puffy
- 3:43Speaker 1: a prophet because the very first words you heard from
- 3:47Speaker 1: any One twelve song was I thought, I told you
- 3:50Speaker 1: that we won't stop. And I don't know if he
- 3:53Speaker 1: realized what he planted. However, that has been my motto.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You know, um, the grind continues, it doesn't stop. I
- 4:00Speaker 1: believe that. You know, God has blessed me with many talents,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and I'd be a fool to just focus on just one.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And a lot of times when you do that, people
- 4:09Speaker 1: will try to box you in, and so when they
- 4:11Speaker 1: see you in other fastest, they'll say, well, aren't you
- 4:14Speaker 1: just a single guy? That's what you think, That's what
- 4:18Speaker 1: they want you to be. That's what people wanted to
- 4:20Speaker 1: have a comfort zone to communicate with. You know that
- 4:22Speaker 1: when your celebrity, when you reach a certain status, people
- 4:25Speaker 1: they have to they have to give up a certain
- 4:28Speaker 1: energy to come talk to you now based on the
- 4:30Speaker 1: energy that they know. Now when you start veering out there,
- 4:33Speaker 1: that's a whole new lane of information they gotta learned about.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It makes them uncomfortable sometimes absolutely, and so know that
- 4:38Speaker 1: the negativity is really tied to them trying to approach you.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So you have to realize that that's a that's a
- 4:44Speaker 1: plus anti MICUs because you really want your brand to
- 4:47Speaker 1: be exposed. What people understand that you're not limited what
- 4:50Speaker 1: you're talking about right now cannot And that's why I
- 4:53Speaker 1: was when I was just going through your website. We're
- 4:55Speaker 1: gonna talk about that in a minute. But when I
- 4:57Speaker 1: was when I was just evaluating you and they was
- 4:59Speaker 1: talking about bringing you on the show. It reminds me
- 5:01Speaker 1: a lot of me because of the fact that I
- 5:03Speaker 1: was a real talented dude. Couldn't sing that I'm not
- 5:05Speaker 1: gonna go down that lane. It's it's deep, but it
- 5:09Speaker 1: would never come out of you. It would never ever
- 5:11Speaker 1: come out. And the thing about this that because it's
- 5:15Speaker 1: like when you when you have a when you when
- 5:18Speaker 1: you're successful in the lane. I was a stand up,
- 5:20Speaker 1: very successful and so you're a very successful sinker. So
- 5:24Speaker 1: you there's an intimidation. There's a but alone what you
- 5:28Speaker 1: are doing, the things that you are doing now, you
- 5:30Speaker 1: were doing when you were singing, like you said, you alone.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You've been in the business. When is at one point
- 5:34Speaker 1: you said, I know I can do this except me
- 5:37Speaker 1: for who I am. I'm going out there. A lot
- 5:42Speaker 1: of times you don't really fully engage with yourself until
- 5:46Speaker 1: there are some trials and there are some storms. And
- 5:50Speaker 1: about seven years ago, the the most trying time in
- 5:54Speaker 1: my life and then my family's life, really really set
- 5:57Speaker 1: me down and I had to really look at myself
- 6:00Speaker 1: and assessed the man that I was looking at in
- 6:02Speaker 1: the mirror, and I had to have some really tough
- 6:04Speaker 1: conversations like who are you? What are you gonna stand for?
- 6:07Speaker 1: Are you ready to really accept the responsibility that God
- 6:10Speaker 1: has called you to be a father, a husband, and
- 6:13Speaker 1: a leader and really tap into your true purpose, not
- 6:16Speaker 1: just the gift, but what's really really inside a UQ.
- 6:19Speaker 1: What what is your legacy going to say? Is it
- 6:22Speaker 1: just going to stop at you know, he's a member
- 6:24Speaker 1: of one twelve and the Grammys, or what is it
- 6:26Speaker 1: going to say? And at that moment, I realized, now
- 6:29Speaker 1: I need to turn the chapter I need to turn
- 6:30Speaker 1: the page not only fight for my family back and
- 6:33Speaker 1: fight for my marriage, but also set a new foundation
- 6:37Speaker 1: of who is this real? Q Parker And see I've
- 6:40Speaker 1: I have been just giving them maybe a small percentage musically.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But then now I'm so excited because I get to say,
- 6:48Speaker 1: in addition to the records and the music, he's also
- 6:52Speaker 1: a philanthropy. See also he's also an actor, He's also
- 6:55Speaker 1: an entrepreneur. He's also this, this, this, this, this, It
- 6:58Speaker 1: makes you feel good. It's very exciting because I now
- 7:01Speaker 1: get to really operate fully at optimum level and not
- 7:05Speaker 1: just a portion. We know what this is would really
- 7:08Speaker 1: excites you. You you're feel in control. See See the
- 7:12Speaker 1: thing about it is that it was a successful stand
- 7:15Speaker 1: up comic I was only based on I had to
- 7:17Speaker 1: go into a club to perform. Right. When you're an entrepreneur,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you can sit down, you can plan, you can get
- 7:21Speaker 1: the right people around you playing a strategy, and you
- 7:24Speaker 1: can move forward and you can see your work changing,
- 7:26Speaker 1: even if it's just one person. It don't have to
- 7:28Speaker 1: you just changing one person. Then one person becomes two
- 7:31Speaker 1: people in three and four or five. It's not ten
- 7:34Speaker 1: thousand people. Five dred people see that that that's that's
- 7:37Speaker 1: a whole scale that involves a lot of people who
- 7:39Speaker 1: have to make a judgment call on whether you can
- 7:41Speaker 1: perform that task of drawing those people. You're entering into
- 7:45Speaker 1: a lane where it says to you that, hey, man,
- 7:48Speaker 1: I want to make a change. I want to make
- 7:49Speaker 1: a change and a difference. And and my my manager
- 7:52Speaker 1: and my partner and I we always talk about one
- 7:54Speaker 1: at the time. There you go. You we focus on
- 8:01Speaker 1: just completing our task for today, and by the end
- 8:04Speaker 1: of the week we can look back and say, wow,
- 8:06Speaker 1: look at all we have a consciousness. So if you
- 8:07Speaker 1: think about that, what happens after a month? Absolutely as
- 8:11Speaker 1: absolutely absolutely so. So you're based in Atlanta. How much
- 8:15Speaker 1: do you travel now? Wow? Still travel quite a bit.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Not as much as when I was very active in
- 8:21Speaker 1: the group, but I still do enough. Because there's different
- 8:25Speaker 1: facets of que Parker. There's cute Parker the artist, because
- 8:27Speaker 1: I still do stuff as a solo artist. Absolutely, I
- 8:30Speaker 1: do theater, TV and film, but also as an entrepreneur,
- 8:35Speaker 1: as a philanthropist. I now have a production company, so
- 8:39Speaker 1: we're gonna be starting filming very very soon. So okay,
- 8:43Speaker 1: we'll have a nice account at Delta. Okay, cool, Well,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I gotta start you. They know me when they wave.
- 8:50Speaker 1: They asked me about the cakes and stuff because I'm
- 8:52Speaker 1: a baker, so they be trying where those cakes, you know.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And so that's why I know we're gonna get together
- 8:57Speaker 1: in a very good way. But I want to I
- 8:59Speaker 1: want to say some of the questions to our next
- 9:01Speaker 1: break because I want to talk about more about the
- 9:04Speaker 1: que Que Parker productions, the bridge project. I want to
- 9:07Speaker 1: talk about this. There was a couple of things I
- 9:09Speaker 1: found on your site about the the the ladies, uh,
- 9:13Speaker 1: the U the let go down here call it Caroline
- 9:17Speaker 1: with que Parker. Okay, got that a night with my
- 9:20Speaker 1: lady benefit story. Okay, Then we want to talk about
- 9:23Speaker 1: the father and son runch. See we got a lot
- 9:26Speaker 1: of talk not to talk about come on back. See
- 9:27Speaker 1: see he didn't know. See that wasn't nobody that nobody
- 9:30Speaker 1: put that in. I respect that though, because a lot
- 9:32Speaker 1: of times people will just asked for an interview and
- 9:34Speaker 1: then they'll no, no, no, no, you here, Because Rashan
- 9:37Speaker 1: McDonald appreciate that we're waited on you. But we're back
- 9:40Speaker 1: with more money making conversation. Got his crew in the
- 9:42Speaker 1: back the photos and we got me pictures taken off.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I'm glad I had a good suit on the day.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I just Rashan McDonald And you're listening to Money Making Conversations,
- 9:54Speaker 1: Que Parker, Que Parker Productions, Que Parker Legacy, The Bridge
- 9:58Speaker 1: Bridge Project. Let's start with Parker Productions, Mondy Making Conversations,
- 10:03Speaker 1: a show about entrepreneurs, about entertainment, so you blend both.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Let's talk about Q Parker Productions. I mean, I am
- 10:09Speaker 1: an avid movie and TV fanatic man. I'll get stuck
- 10:15Speaker 1: on a series for like two weeks straight. So I
- 10:18Speaker 1: came up with this project called The Bridge Project, and
- 10:20Speaker 1: we'll talk a little bit about that. But the Bridge
- 10:22Speaker 1: Project is three layers. It's a music piece, it's a documentary.
- 10:26Speaker 1: There's also a feature film, and so Que Parker Productions
- 10:30Speaker 1: will be this will be my first feature film that
- 10:32Speaker 1: we will produce. It's entire or Rescue Me and it
- 10:35Speaker 1: talks about a young man who goes through the trials
- 10:40Speaker 1: is basically my life story. UM is in a group
- 10:43Speaker 1: and loses it is at the brink of losing his
- 10:46Speaker 1: familys tragedy, tragedy and redemption and asked to just fight
- 10:51Speaker 1: to just regain his family, reclaim his family back, and
- 10:54Speaker 1: it just takes you through just what their roller coaster
- 10:57Speaker 1: uh is uh? And like I said that, it's totally
- 10:59Speaker 1: I did the fives with the Q Parker story. So
- 11:02Speaker 1: this is my way of subliminally telling my features in
- 11:05Speaker 1: the story. Okay, is it is it an age range
- 11:09Speaker 1: over there or it's just you just talking about on
- 11:12Speaker 1: the present day. Well, no, so it would be it
- 11:14Speaker 1: would would it would go back to my childhood and
- 11:18Speaker 1: really showed what that was like. But then also it
- 11:20Speaker 1: just kind of go through the progression of shave off
- 11:25Speaker 1: the whatever takest do all that takes a little transition period.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Got you just look first, now, don't mess around. No
- 11:33Speaker 1: facing that first, No facing that eighteen year old handline.
- 11:40Speaker 1: This look first. I always remember this look first. Don't
- 11:43Speaker 1: mess up now, don't best of them. I remember I
- 11:46Speaker 1: did Jason's lyric and they grew a beard for the
- 11:49Speaker 1: for the role I played made Fast Freddy and Jason's
- 11:51Speaker 1: lyric and crackhead tap dance, and so they messed around,
- 11:57Speaker 1: it messed around. They shade my beard. They guy would
- 12:00Speaker 1: who shape the period? We gotta shoot that first, he
- 12:03Speaker 1: was doing good at first. You're doing good at first,
- 12:07Speaker 1: So I know it's all about continuity when you're doing
- 12:10Speaker 1: productions and stuff like that. So we're excited about that
- 12:12Speaker 1: with this is the first of many UH film projects
- 12:16Speaker 1: that we will be producing, so we're excited about that.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You know, it was some fun things on your website.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Everybody should go to your website. Tell everybody about your
- 12:22Speaker 1: webs Cue Parker Legacy Foundation dot org. Okay, now, it
- 12:26Speaker 1: was some things that were going through. There was like
- 12:28Speaker 1: caroling with Que Parker's an evening annual Starpa holiday their
- 12:32Speaker 1: dedicated entertaining and celebrating seniors. So the Cue Parker Legacy
- 12:37Speaker 1: Foundation was established five years ago. And because of so
- 12:42Speaker 1: everything is first of all, how can they find out
- 12:44Speaker 1: about it? I went to the website's posting your social media.
- 12:47Speaker 1: So the website is que Parker Legacy Foundation dot org.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Social media is Que Parker Legacy Foundation on all platforms
- 12:55Speaker 1: and so everything that um you see about Que Parker,
- 12:58Speaker 1: it really comes from story right right right Because of
- 13:02Speaker 1: me going through those trials, I saw how it affected
- 13:04Speaker 1: every aspect of my family. UM, and so when I
- 13:08Speaker 1: decided that I wanted to give back, and I understood
- 13:10Speaker 1: that my life was about serving and that was the
- 13:13Speaker 1: way I was going to repay all the many blessing
- 13:15Speaker 1: that I've been I wanted to serve. And so the
- 13:18Speaker 1: QPL Left Foundation we make sure our mission is to
- 13:21Speaker 1: impact every level of the family. So we have programs
- 13:25Speaker 1: for men which is Brothers United of Atlanta, for women's
- 13:28Speaker 1: Sisters United of Atlanta, for couples in Relationship which is
- 13:31Speaker 1: Couples United of Atlanta. We have a youth summer camp
- 13:34Speaker 1: program and after school program which is a Youth United
- 13:37Speaker 1: of Atlanta. And then for the seniors, were doing the
- 13:39Speaker 1: event a yearly ran out of Fingers number five is
- 13:46Speaker 1: for the singers, and and every year around then during
- 13:49Speaker 1: the Christmas holiday, I gather a lot of my musical
- 13:52Speaker 1: friends q Parkery friends and we do a caroling event
- 13:56Speaker 1: for about five hundred singers in in Atlanta. Okay, it's
- 13:59Speaker 1: in one location, one location, five hundred plus senior citizens
- 14:04Speaker 1: and myself and my other celebrity m entertainers. We've seen
- 14:08Speaker 1: Christmas carols and just have a catered event for our
- 14:11Speaker 1: our seniors. Okay, I heard the word cater Okay, now
- 14:13Speaker 1: you know I'm an award winning baker. Okay, I'm an
- 14:17Speaker 1: award winning baker now, bam. Okay, So I can't let
- 14:21Speaker 1: you walk out of this room. What I said, I'm
- 14:23Speaker 1: a deliverer some Rashaan McDonald perfect bake to this event.
- 14:29Speaker 1: All that need is to date. Just tell me, okay,
- 14:32Speaker 1: write that down. Team give the location. Don't don't give
- 14:35Speaker 1: at the location yet. Man, Okay, we're gonna We're gonna
- 14:38Speaker 1: we don't let them know what's happening. We're gonna do
- 14:40Speaker 1: that now. I'm a promotion guy, and we're gonna post
- 14:43Speaker 1: this on social media. Let's do it's coming. I'm like,
- 14:45Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do is men, you're gonna get together again.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I'll be holdings and pies with you. Pass so so.
- 14:53Speaker 1: So that's that's one event, which which is great. Rashawn
- 14:56Speaker 1: is already in the event. My skill set, by talents,
- 15:00Speaker 1: my blessings are gonna come your way because your blessing
- 15:02Speaker 1: came our way. I love gonna help out people who
- 15:04Speaker 1: are off the time during that period all forgotten man,
- 15:08Speaker 1: and you know that about And that's the reason why
- 15:10Speaker 1: I am so committed to UH specifically targeting our seniors.
- 15:15Speaker 1: And we're really strict on it to the point where
- 15:18Speaker 1: if you can't, like if you are not a senior,
- 15:21Speaker 1: you really can't have access. Because we want the seniors
- 15:24Speaker 1: to feel so special, like it's red carpet, It's like
- 15:28Speaker 1: pop Rozzie. You know. Photography, photographers everywhere, videographers everywhere, man
- 15:34Speaker 1: photo boost because I want them to leave with with
- 15:37Speaker 1: a memorable idea of what the Q. Parker Legacy Foundation
- 15:41Speaker 1: did specifically for them. Okay, now let's go this one.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I really night A Night with my lady benefit sore right, So,
- 15:48Speaker 1: Couples United of Atlanta, which is our relationship leg of
- 15:52Speaker 1: the organizations, we have this event. It's an annual event,
- 15:55Speaker 1: A Night with my lady and I go back to
- 15:57Speaker 1: my story. My wife and I were going through difficult
- 16:00Speaker 1: hotels and all I wanted was to get back in
- 16:02Speaker 1: the house because I was kicked out of the house.
- 16:04Speaker 1: All I wanted to do was get back in the
- 16:05Speaker 1: house and just have a night with my lady. And
- 16:08Speaker 1: so uh, in creating this event, it gives couples an
- 16:11Speaker 1: opportunity to have a date night. You know, we get
- 16:14Speaker 1: so inundated with our hustle and bustle and talking about
- 16:18Speaker 1: not happy to just date. So you know, the men
- 16:20Speaker 1: get it's a formal event. Men get tuxas tux on
- 16:23Speaker 1: and the ladies get their ball gowns and kasagis and
- 16:26Speaker 1: all of that and just come out and have a wonderful,
- 16:28Speaker 1: wonderful night of love. Now, what we do is we
- 16:31Speaker 1: honor couples in specific fields that are in our city.
- 16:36Speaker 1: So it could be a couple doing great things and
- 16:39Speaker 1: ministry and education and in the in the health field,
- 16:44Speaker 1: in physical fitness, all of those elements we like to
- 16:48Speaker 1: just shine on, you know, the citizens of Atlanta. Now,
- 16:51Speaker 1: these ideas that I'm talking about, are they just dreams
- 16:54Speaker 1: that you had or you work to check out with
- 16:56Speaker 1: your team and you say, what what whatever close to
- 16:58Speaker 1: your brand that we should impact, Because that's really what
- 17:01Speaker 1: I'm talking about. This is your brand being extended. So
- 17:04Speaker 1: I've talked about I've talked about the the Q Parker Caroline,
- 17:08Speaker 1: we talked about the My Ladiest Benefits Sore. Right now
- 17:11Speaker 1: we'll talk about the father and son because you said
- 17:13Speaker 1: you have a fifteen year olds, so this is really
- 17:15Speaker 1: close to you. Absolutely, let's talk about the brunch. So
- 17:17Speaker 1: the brunch is it's this father's son sand Cofa brunch
- 17:21Speaker 1: and it's an opportunity for Santa explain that sand Kofa
- 17:25Speaker 1: is Africa for just reach back, give, reached back and
- 17:29Speaker 1: grabb making an opportunity for the next generation behind. That's
- 17:33Speaker 1: why they when you look at the logo, the bird
- 17:35Speaker 1: is looking backwards, it's like, I'm not gonna leave you
- 17:38Speaker 1: back and I have to thank you. You gotta have
- 17:41Speaker 1: a great team, man, I have a great team sitting
- 17:44Speaker 1: in the room, just like the bird. Gotta look back now,
- 17:47Speaker 1: bird flying flying, looking back and he's starring. But you're
- 17:51Speaker 1: looking back now. Can that bird like soaring leaving everybody?
- 17:55Speaker 1: We can't. So it's it's an opportunity for fathers to
- 17:58Speaker 1: come out with their signs, or even uncles um with
- 18:02Speaker 1: their nephews, or even if there's just a man in
- 18:05Speaker 1: his neighborhood who sees that a young man is without
- 18:07Speaker 1: a male male figure in his life. This is an
- 18:10Speaker 1: opportunity to it for you. Then they just come in
- 18:11Speaker 1: Rome and man, we just love on each other man
- 18:13Speaker 1: because I believe that as men, one of the first
- 18:16Speaker 1: things we miss out on is affirming each other. We
- 18:20Speaker 1: look to women a lot of time to tell us
- 18:22Speaker 1: how great we are and how how we are just this.
- 18:25Speaker 1: But I think the very first line is I gotta
- 18:29Speaker 1: know that my brother appreciates me, which is why Brothers
- 18:32Speaker 1: United of Atlanta is very very dear to me, man,
- 18:34Speaker 1: because we want everybody to know every man. I had
- 18:36Speaker 1: to know that you're not on an island on your
- 18:38Speaker 1: on your own man, And no matter what you've gone through,
- 18:41Speaker 1: there's another brother that looks just like you, has a
- 18:43Speaker 1: similar story, and who can really relate to what you're
- 18:46Speaker 1: going through. Man. So all of these things are just
- 18:49Speaker 1: very very passionate to me, which in this this male
- 18:53Speaker 1: piece really is is just look at my notes. I
- 18:58Speaker 1: can't believe you just looked at my notes that then
- 19:00Speaker 1: I wanted to ask that to think gonna he's gonna
- 19:04Speaker 1: look down and get going. And that male piece and
- 19:06Speaker 1: see you want to said that, and the mail piece
- 19:09Speaker 1: I used to have been smoothed, but you look down
- 19:11Speaker 1: with oh, we're gonna talk about that, and the mail piece.
- 19:14Speaker 1: You know, let me tell you something so funny. Right
- 19:20Speaker 1: growing up and media training, right right, the rule number
- 19:24Speaker 1: one is always go in with a mission and get
- 19:27Speaker 1: out what you want to get out. And so if
- 19:28Speaker 1: you've got three minutes, you gotta have one loan run
- 19:31Speaker 1: on sentence and just get all your information in it, right,
- 19:34Speaker 1: And so before you stop me, I gotta say and
- 19:38Speaker 1: but wrapping up, we got a minute left wrapping up there. Okay.
- 19:40Speaker 1: The Bridge Project, Um, that is something that is is
- 19:44Speaker 1: so impactful to me, is going to impact the world.
- 19:47Speaker 1: It's an all male project that is going to blend
- 19:50Speaker 1: the world of gospel and the urban mainstream. So many
- 19:55Speaker 1: times there's this divide between these two genres specifically, and um,
- 19:59Speaker 1: this project is going to alleviate. That's going to show
- 20:02Speaker 1: that these worlds can coexist and that they are one
- 20:05Speaker 1: and the same day. They support each other one, they
- 20:08Speaker 1: are influenced by each other. They have the same demographics.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And so imagine your most notable gospel male singers and
- 20:14Speaker 1: your most notable R and B male singers together on
- 20:18Speaker 1: one project. And so they are fifty five men representing
- 20:20Speaker 1: And when you said Jason's Lyrics, the last time something
- 20:23Speaker 1: like this happened was on the Jason's Lyrics soundtrack where
- 20:26Speaker 1: they had a song called you will know that I'm
- 20:31Speaker 1: in that video. I'm in that video. Fast Freddy is
- 20:33Speaker 1: in that video. I know man. Yes, Okay, So the
- 20:38Speaker 1: So the beauty about this one is never have there
- 20:40Speaker 1: been a blending of gospel and R and B and
- 20:43Speaker 1: so we have all you will know we are the
- 20:45Speaker 1: world on this Bridge project called I Need You that
- 20:49Speaker 1: has forty three men representing and then the remaining songs
- 20:53Speaker 1: on the album are duo's a Gospel guy and an
- 20:56Speaker 1: R and B guy. So the Bridge Project will be
- 20:58Speaker 1: out next month The Bridge Project Official Bridge Project on
- 21:02Speaker 1: all social media, Official Bridge Pricing. Man, I appreciate you
- 21:07Speaker 1: so decept for sixteen you got me yes caroling with
- 21:10Speaker 1: Cue Parker and friends and recent sixty and benefit. I'm
- 21:12Speaker 1: gonna bring disserch you know, I'm gonna be real, you know,
- 21:15Speaker 1: bak banana pudding. You know we love you know, cheesecake,
- 21:20Speaker 1: my man, your family and I love you man, I know,
- 21:23Speaker 1: I know, I know. I want to do something for you. Man.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Rather we gotta do all fair because I gotta go.
- 21:29Speaker 1: There's me some music and I want to I want
- 21:30Speaker 1: to sing on one of your intros. Okay, cool, I
- 21:32Speaker 1: love that. I love that this Rashan McDonald mighty making
- 21:35Speaker 1: conversation Que Parker, my nephew, my never never
