- 1:59Speaker 2: Think uh huh? I said, uh huh, I show will
- 2:05Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 2:07Speaker 4: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:10Speaker 4: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I feel it's necessary to explain what I.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Say in the morning because somebody asked me, what do
- 2:18Speaker 4: you mean by that when you say that in the morning.
- 2:21Speaker 2: When I say.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Uh huh, it's in response to David Hollister opening the
- 2:27Speaker 4: song by saying, go ahead, big Daddy, go ahead. I said,
- 2:31Speaker 4: uh huh, I show will. Then I say good morning everybody,
- 2:35Speaker 4: because I was raised a rage. You're supposed to speak
- 2:37Speaker 4: when you come in the room. I'm coming in y'all's room,
- 2:41Speaker 4: whether it's your bedroom, the room in your house, your car,
- 2:45Speaker 4: your office, you know, wherever you're at. I come in
- 2:47Speaker 4: the room, or God speaks, I say good morning everybody.
- 2:51Speaker 4: You are listening to the voice, And then I got
- 2:53Speaker 4: to introduce myself because as a performer, I always felt
- 2:58Speaker 4: my best when I was introduced. No, why would you
- 3:01Speaker 4: walk out on stage anybody introduce you. You can't get
- 3:04Speaker 4: a round of applause. It's just it's horrible. So I say,
- 3:07Speaker 4: you are listening to the voice one and Only Steve Harvey.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Come on, dig me now. Now that's old school. I
- 3:15Speaker 4: got that, but that's I was once again.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Dig me now?
- 3:19Speaker 4: Is I want you to feel what I'm about to say.
- 3:22Speaker 4: That's all I'm saying. That's not a bragging thing. You
- 3:26Speaker 4: know you are listening to the voice one and only
- 3:28Speaker 4: Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. I'm just asking
- 3:32Speaker 4: you to feel what I'm saying in the morning, because
- 3:35Speaker 4: it's part of a promise that I made to God.
- 3:38Speaker 4: See a long time ago, I told God, if he
- 3:40Speaker 4: allowed me to make it, that when I got there,
- 3:44Speaker 4: I would tell everybody I know how I did it,
- 3:47Speaker 4: and I wasn't gonna shortcut it or shade him on it.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I said, if you allow me.
- 3:52Speaker 4: To make it, if you give me the strength, the courage,
- 3:55Speaker 4: the wisdom, you gave me a gift, if you let
- 3:59Speaker 4: me apply it, don't destroy myself in the process, forgive
- 4:03Speaker 4: me for my sins along the way, continue to hold
- 4:07Speaker 4: and rock me when I needed. When I make it,
- 4:10Speaker 4: I promise you Lord, when I get there, I will
- 4:14Speaker 4: tell everybody how I made it.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Well.
- 4:18Speaker 4: This started back in LA when I got on the
- 4:21Speaker 4: radio and I was making it okay. I was doing okay,
- 4:26Speaker 4: but I had to keep my promise to God. My
- 4:29Speaker 4: promise was, if you allow me to make it, I'll
- 4:32Speaker 4: tell everybody how I got there. I have to tell
- 4:37Speaker 4: you that every day because if it was not for
- 4:41Speaker 4: that grace and mercy, I wouldn't even be here able
- 4:44Speaker 4: to fulfill my promise. Because I've done enough dirt in
- 4:47Speaker 4: my life. Man to not be worthy. He could have
- 4:51Speaker 4: easily walked away from me a long time ago because
- 4:55Speaker 4: I had show walked away from him. See, and I
- 4:58Speaker 4: didn't walk away from him once. I walked away from
- 5:01Speaker 4: him a bunch of times. But guess what He forgave
- 5:05Speaker 4: me a bunch of times. I'm a living example of
- 5:10Speaker 4: hundreds of chances. His forgiveness and his mercy is available
- 5:17Speaker 4: for everybody. It's the only reason I get on this
- 5:20Speaker 4: show every day. It's the only reason I have the
- 5:22Speaker 4: blessings that's come in my way. It's the only way
- 5:25Speaker 4: that the things that keep happening in my life, man,
- 5:28Speaker 4: that I have no explanation for, is because of His
- 5:33Speaker 4: grace and mercy. See, anytime something good happens in my
- 5:37Speaker 4: life and I can't explain it, that's usually him, he
- 5:41Speaker 4: exhibits to me. Remember, I'm a forgiving god, man. Remember,
- 5:46Speaker 4: So when you fall, Steve, don't lay down there. Don't
- 5:50Speaker 4: you lay down there. Don't you let the devil fool
- 5:52Speaker 4: you that because you'd have made some mistakes that you
- 5:55Speaker 4: ain't that you can't do it because everybody gonna make them.
- 5:59Speaker 4: There's none perfect, no, not once. So get up, keep moving,
- 6:03Speaker 4: keep pushing, step on what you're laying there for. Your
- 6:08Speaker 4: daddy didn't raise you that way. Look, man, my father
- 6:12Speaker 4: was just about manhood. I'm gonna just tell you. My
- 6:14Speaker 4: daddy never had a conversation with me about church. He
- 6:17Speaker 4: beat me for not going, but you know a couple
- 6:20Speaker 4: of times, but he wasn't about that wasn't his message.
- 6:23Speaker 4: That was my mama's job. My mama taught me about
- 6:26Speaker 4: being saved, about loving the Lord, about giving your life,
- 6:30Speaker 4: about the teachings of Jesus Christ. My mama was a
- 6:33Speaker 4: Sunday school teacher. So I got all of that from her.
- 6:36Speaker 4: My old man ain't had none of that for me.
- 6:38Speaker 4: My old man talked to me about one thing all
- 6:40Speaker 4: day long, hard working manhood, and well you're gonna get
- 6:43Speaker 4: that if you don't get nothing else from me. He
- 6:46Speaker 4: gave that to me, so I got it. See, so
- 6:49Speaker 4: my father, you say, excuse my language, but you ain't
- 6:52Speaker 4: gonna sit there like no little punk up in here.
- 6:53Speaker 4: You ain't what you're finna do. You finna get up
- 6:56Speaker 4: and go do what you're supposed to do. Now stop
- 6:58Speaker 4: all that wine and like some little un go get
- 7:00Speaker 4: the movie. That's how my father talked to me. And
- 7:02Speaker 4: now I'm just telling you real. It worked for me, though,
- 7:05Speaker 4: And before you start emailing me, that had nothing to
- 7:07Speaker 4: do with homosexuality at all.
- 7:10Speaker 2: It's just that was his term for a man not
- 7:13Speaker 2: acting like a man.
- 7:15Speaker 4: That's all it was. It was not a gay reference
- 7:17Speaker 4: at all. I want you to understand that before you
- 7:19Speaker 4: started emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling. That was
- 7:22Speaker 4: not a sexual reference for him. My father talked to
- 7:25Speaker 4: us that's.
- 7:25Speaker 2: What he meant.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I knew exactly what it meant. He couldn't amit nothing
- 7:28Speaker 4: if he ain't even know nothing about that. My man
- 7:30Speaker 4: clueless when it come to that right there. So when
- 7:34Speaker 4: I was getting down and feeling bad about myself, my
- 7:37Speaker 4: old man, he taught me this toughness.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Man.
- 7:39Speaker 4: He gave me this grit, this doggedness, this go to
- 7:42Speaker 4: work and work hard. That's why today, when God does
- 7:46Speaker 4: bless me with something, he ain't got to worry about
- 7:49Speaker 4: me not working hard because.
- 7:51Speaker 2: That's in me.
- 7:53Speaker 4: And when I get tired, I asked that same God
- 7:56Speaker 4: for strift to keep on doing so I can do
- 7:59Speaker 4: the blessed he got for me. So when you ask
- 8:02Speaker 4: me how you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey, I
- 8:04Speaker 4: don't know. I ain't got to figure that out. All
- 8:08Speaker 4: I got to do is show up with the same
- 8:10Speaker 4: amount of faith of being showing up with God handled
- 8:12Speaker 4: the rest of it. See y'all, Hey man, let me
- 8:16Speaker 4: tell you something. I don't see how you do it.
- 8:17Speaker 4: I don't either, Can I get you, hey man, newsflash?
- 8:21Speaker 2: Let me hear. I don't see how you doing all that? Steve?
- 8:24Speaker 2: You doing this? You doing that? Can I tell you
- 8:26Speaker 2: something I don't either.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I just wake up with the faith man and trusting
- 8:31Speaker 4: that if he gonna bless me with it, he must
- 8:33Speaker 4: be gonna show me a way how to get it done. See,
- 8:35Speaker 4: I ain't tripping on that part. See, once you take
- 8:39Speaker 4: yourself out the how to business, you can go on
- 8:42Speaker 4: and get with it. But see, if you're gonna trip
- 8:44Speaker 4: yourself out with the how to, you can't think like
- 8:47Speaker 4: God can think. You can't figure like God can figure.
- 8:49Speaker 4: So now you sit up in here, God Lord, I
- 8:51Speaker 4: want this to happen for me. Then I don't know
- 8:54Speaker 4: how I'm gonna do all that. Well, guess what You
- 8:57Speaker 4: in the way? Now, see you, Now you in the
- 8:59Speaker 4: way because see God ain't asked you to figure out
- 9:02Speaker 4: how to. He said ask and believe. Then he said
- 9:07Speaker 4: faith without works is dead. That's my solution. That's the
- 9:12Speaker 4: concoction that I'm functioning on. All I got to do
- 9:16Speaker 4: is accept the blessing, keep the faith, be willing to work,
- 9:20Speaker 4: and believe God can.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Do anything but fail.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Why would God bring me this far to leave me?
- 9:28Speaker 4: Why would he bring you this far to leave you?
- 9:34Speaker 2: So while I get up every morning, I have no choice.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I got to get up in here to rest. When
- 9:40Speaker 4: I'm running late, man, I try to plow through here.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Sometime I don't make it, man, I got to do
- 9:44Speaker 4: a rerun, but I plow through here because, man, Steve,
- 9:47Speaker 4: you're gonna run out something to say.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Nah, I'm gonna just keep thinking. Now. You can't run
- 9:51Speaker 2: out of that, can you?
- 9:52Speaker 4: Because you owe him that matter of fact, when I
- 9:54Speaker 4: get through talking, I really ain't thanked him enough. You're
- 9:57Speaker 4: listening Morning show, ladies and gentlemen. You know what, he'd
- 10:06Speaker 4: have done it again. I'm just amazed at here. I'm
- 10:10Speaker 4: talking about God. You know, I'm talking about how I
- 10:13Speaker 4: don't know how, but he do the same thing on
- 10:17Speaker 4: time every time, and he don't miss He said the
- 10:22Speaker 4: sun will rise in the.
- 10:23Speaker 2: East and said that what he said that? What to
- 10:25Speaker 2: do it? When don't it do that? When has it
- 10:28Speaker 2: ever not done that thing? Right there?
- 10:31Speaker 5: Now?
- 10:31Speaker 4: You name me anybody you know that ain't ever missed
- 10:37Speaker 4: ever time up being nobody, lady and gentlemen, the greatest
- 10:42Speaker 4: of all time, Almighty God, the boy boy boy.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why I give him all the credit to
- 10:50Speaker 4: honor in the glory, because I'm telling you right now,
- 10:53Speaker 4: this is how it's done. Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley
- 10:56Speaker 4: Strawberry called for real Mississippi Monica Junior, the legend that
- 10:59Speaker 4: he his nephew.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Tell me, well, what's wrong?
- 11:04Speaker 7: What's wrong?
- 11:05Speaker 2: Though, No, he's gonna ask me what.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Well. I think everything is time, That's what I think.
- 11:16Speaker 4: I think all I'm off to a great start.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 11:21Speaker 4: But that ain't the segment we do. This seg is
- 11:26Speaker 4: called Junior. What's on your mind? I dash where it
- 11:32Speaker 4: starts to turn a bit. Yes, so now let's hear
- 11:35Speaker 4: it today. What's going on today?
- 11:37Speaker 6: Well?
- 11:37Speaker 8: Unk, you know, man, it ain't nothing really going on.
- 11:39Speaker 8: Everything is good. You know, I'm really proud.
- 11:41Speaker 2: You know that.
- 11:43Speaker 8: You know, me and my wife was really in a
- 11:44Speaker 8: good place right now. You know, it's just day one
- 11:47Speaker 8: of it. But if we're here though, you know we're
- 11:49Speaker 8: doing good. I ain't got no complaints. You know, my
- 11:52Speaker 8: blood pressure.
- 11:53Speaker 7: Down and I'm married now. I feel good.
- 11:55Speaker 8: I look good, skinned, skin clear. You know, I ain't
- 11:58Speaker 8: in the hospital. So I got a lot to be
- 12:00Speaker 8: grateful fuss, you know. And plus I should have been
- 12:03Speaker 8: married a long time ago, because I'm too unhealthy to
- 12:06Speaker 8: be by myself.
- 12:07Speaker 2: That's one thing I don't think we could have the
- 12:10Speaker 2: long time I thank you married no long time ago.
- 12:13Speaker 4: I think this is enough right here. You know we
- 12:17Speaker 4: we wouldn't be still on this show. You've been married
- 12:20Speaker 4: a long time ago, you'd killed this show. This show
- 12:27Speaker 4: really take you being.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Married as it is. So I'm making you know this
- 12:32Speaker 2: is yeah, this has yeah, this has the show stressed out. So, yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you got to learn how trust in God God's time.
- 12:42Speaker 4: In junior, you got trusted. He got you married at
- 12:45Speaker 4: the right time because he knew about He knew about where.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Our limits were.
- 12:49Speaker 7: Uh, he knew about you and the and the crewise limits.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Yeah, he knew we couldn't take we couldn't take this earlier.
- 12:57Speaker 4: And then you was younger too.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah I was.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, will you admit that you are no more
- 13:04Speaker 2: and are smarter than you are now than you was.
- 13:06Speaker 7: You was your absolutely absolutely and that nah.
- 13:09Speaker 2: You see where we're going with this. I am so yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 2: I am no more smarter. No, I know that you're
- 13:19Speaker 2: not no more smarter.
- 13:20Speaker 7: Uh uh no, because I keep doing the same thing
- 13:24Speaker 7: to stress you. That's why.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Well, because you don't learn.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You you don't listen. You just don't listen. And right
- 13:32Speaker 4: there now, our time is up and we are so
- 13:35Speaker 4: happy about that.
- 13:37Speaker 9: At thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll hear from
- 13:39Speaker 9: the nephew if he runs that brank back right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 13:45Speaker 10: Morning show.
- 13:46Speaker 9: It is time now for the nephew to run that
- 13:48Speaker 9: brank back. Nephew, what's on the menu this morning?

- 15:33Speaker 5: I've been a little under the weather, bro, you know,
- 15:35Speaker 5: and you know, with God's help, man, I'll be able
- 15:37Speaker 5: to get back on my feet, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:39Speaker 5: That's all right, hey, man, I just you know, congratulated again. Man,
- 15:43Speaker 5: you know the beautiful baby girl. Man, that's a beautiful thing. Yeah,

- 15:51Speaker 5: just I can't hold me. I'm trying to remember you
- 15:54Speaker 5: and trying to place you, and I just I can't
- 15:58Speaker 5: do it. Have we met No, no, no, no no no, no,
- 16:02Speaker 5: my bad man. I'm sorry John nah Me and you
- 16:04Speaker 5: we haven't. We haven't met at all. Like I say,
- 16:08Speaker 5: you know, my wife knows Kendre. They hang out, and
- 16:11Speaker 5: I guess she's she's dabbled a couple of times and
- 16:13Speaker 5: been around. You know, your wife is your wife is Maryland? Right, Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 5: that's my wife. Okay, Yeah, I guess she's been been
- 16:21Speaker 5: in the presence of Maryland.
- 16:22Speaker 11: Man.
- 16:23Speaker 5: So you know, you know, I kind of got your
- 16:25Speaker 5: number from from my wife, man, and she got it
- 16:29Speaker 5: from Kindred. So I kind of wanted to holler at.
- 16:31Speaker 6: You, you know, which went out in your dad.
- 16:34Speaker 5: Actually, man, Like I say, Man, I've been I've been
- 16:37Speaker 5: down for a minute, you know. And uh I actually
- 16:42Speaker 5: you know, came from doctor yesterday and and my my bones, man,
- 16:49Speaker 5: they my bones are deteriorating. You know. Uh, that's that's
- 16:54Speaker 5: kind of what I'm what I've been going through man,
- 16:58Speaker 5: And if I don't get the proper medication that I need, man,
- 17:03Speaker 5: then we you know it within the next three months here, dog,
- 17:09Speaker 5: could it could get pretty bad. You know what I'm saying. Well, man,
- 17:13Speaker 5: I'm sorry to hear that. Bro. You know, all I
- 17:17Speaker 5: can do is straight well you man, And you know
- 17:21Speaker 5: well man, the doctor told me that it's bro o
- 17:28Speaker 5: cry man. The doctor told me man, you know if
- 17:32Speaker 5: I get the right medication man, that you know, I
- 17:36Speaker 5: could get back up to seventy five eight healthy again,
- 17:39Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. So you know, it's just
- 17:43Speaker 5: a rare type of thing that I need to try
- 17:46Speaker 5: and get and I think that you might be I
- 17:50Speaker 5: think you can help me. We will be strong, man,
- 17:53Speaker 5: be strong, just man, sit down, Man, be strong. Bro,
- 17:57Speaker 5: It's gonna be all right. It's gonna be all RIGHTY
- 18:00Speaker 5: is with you? I pray for you. I do all
- 18:03Speaker 5: I can. You know, I don't know well actually actually, uh,
- 18:08Speaker 5: the doctor told me, man that if for six months,
- 18:12Speaker 5: if I drunk breast milk, it will it will it
- 18:15Speaker 5: will put enough calcium and stuff back into my bones

- 20:45Speaker 5: It is the Stem Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:48Speaker 8: Man.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Wow, Man, And now you have it.
- 20:55Speaker 9: I'll be right there coming up next. Ask the CLO
- 20:59Speaker 9: with her chief love of Steve Harvey. You're listening Harvey
- 21:03Speaker 9: Morning Show, showing up at the top of the hour.
- 21:06Speaker 9: In Entertainment News, Kevin Hart revealed how tall he really
- 21:09Speaker 9: is finally and if he's a billionaire or not?
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, now, hey, why is he trying to reveal to
- 21:21Speaker 2: us how tall he.
- 21:23Speaker 9: Was asked and a lot of people say he's different heights,
- 21:26Speaker 9: so he wanted to clear it up. We'll get into it.
- 21:29Speaker 9: Beyonce and Blue Ivy will start on screen together in
- 21:31Speaker 9: the new Lion King movie. And Jerry Seinfeld Steve feels
- 21:35Speaker 9: that TV comedies are facing extinction, and we'll tell you why.
- 21:39Speaker 9: That's all coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:42Speaker 9: But right now it is time to ask the clo.
- 21:45Speaker 9: This is from Julie and West Plano. Julie says, I've
- 21:49Speaker 9: been seeing a guy every day for a month after
- 21:52Speaker 9: I slid into his DMS and told.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Him he was sexy.
- 21:56Speaker 9: We had sex at least ten times and I don't
- 21:59Speaker 9: know his name, just to screen name on Instagram.
- 22:03Speaker 1: If I ask him his real name, now, will he
- 22:05Speaker 1: think I'm a thought?
- 22:07Speaker 4: Oh well, let me ask you a question. You just
- 22:11Speaker 4: slept with a man ten times and you don't know
- 22:13Speaker 4: his name. You tell me if that's a thought, because
- 22:18Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 22:21Speaker 10: What a mass name.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Well, if you don't know my name, you just slept
- 22:25Speaker 4: with me ten times. What you want me to think
- 22:28Speaker 4: of you? Except you sleep with people without knowing their names.
- 22:33Speaker 4: That's all, ain't o what you're not de finna do
- 22:37Speaker 4: once again bring this abnormal behavior to me and expect
- 22:42Speaker 4: me to normally. It seemed to me like you would
- 22:46Speaker 4: know a man's name for you slept with him. You're
- 22:48Speaker 4: just slept with him ten times. You just know his
- 22:50Speaker 4: screen name. You know, now, if you've been calling him
- 22:53Speaker 4: sugar Boots because that's his screen name, then all he
- 22:56Speaker 4: know is you want sugar Boots.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Now where we at?
- 23:01Speaker 4: I don't know what you call it. I don't know
- 23:02Speaker 4: what you call him. When you sleep with a person,
- 23:04Speaker 4: I don't know their name. I don't know what that is.
- 23:07Speaker 4: All right, moving on to I've never done it.
- 23:11Speaker 1: You always know their names Lugger Boots.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Okay, you quit names, and you know what you know?
- 23:20Speaker 2: It might be different at the time, I said, but
- 23:21Speaker 2: you're gonna get one.
- 23:26Speaker 1: How can you say their name different every time?
- 23:29Speaker 2: I don't know you tell me.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 23:34Speaker 9: Moving on to Christiana in Scottsdale, Christiana writes, my mother
- 23:38Speaker 9: has accused my dad of being unfaithful for years. He is,
- 23:42Speaker 9: in fact cheating, and I know his girlfriend. When I
- 23:46Speaker 9: caught him with her, he stopped talking to me because
- 23:48Speaker 9: he was ashamed. Is it my responsibility to fix our
- 23:52Speaker 9: relationship or his?
- 23:54Speaker 2: M No, it's.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Well he stopped talking continue because he was ashamed. Then
- 24:04Speaker 4: you can just say, hey, dad, look I know why
- 24:07Speaker 4: you're not talking to me, but I don't want to
- 24:10Speaker 4: with that to affect our relationship. And then that's how
- 24:13Speaker 4: you open the conversation because well he don't know how
- 24:18Speaker 4: to do it. See, there's no proper way for him
- 24:21Speaker 4: to bring it up. A daughter, Listen, I know you've
- 24:25Speaker 4: seen me. I know because you know this is how
- 24:30Speaker 4: you get busted. You gotta be real humble and and
- 24:34Speaker 4: you almost gotta go at about it in a slave
- 24:36Speaker 4: type tone. Yeah, you can't, can't be asking at all.
- 24:41Speaker 4: When she's seen you with the girl. You got to
- 24:44Speaker 4: go you know her or addo or I think you
- 24:51Speaker 4: might have sang saying some things that was little a
- 24:56Speaker 4: little bit miss miscommunicated, and I apologize for putting you
- 25:00Speaker 4: in that position. And uh, but you know, I'm just
- 25:05Speaker 4: you know, your mother has known that I was unhappy,
- 25:08Speaker 4: you know, for quite some time. Anyway, what I'm trying
- 25:12Speaker 4: to say is I love you and always have, no
- 25:16Speaker 4: matter what happens between me and your mama. And I
- 25:20Speaker 4: was just wondering if he was going to be able
- 25:22Speaker 4: to you know, continuously. Now you know where it's without,
- 25:27Speaker 4: you know where we was, you know, like, well, you
- 25:32Speaker 4: know I didn't I didn't like you or looking over
- 25:35Speaker 4: there at Shawny's and seeing me in that.
- 25:41Speaker 2: So yeah, I don't really think he has a way
- 25:43Speaker 2: he can do it. So she should just say, hey, daddy, look,
- 25:47Speaker 2: you know, it depends on how she is and how
- 25:49Speaker 2: he is.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Okay, all right, okay, all right.
- 25:52Speaker 9: Moving on to Montelle and Lexington, montell says, my daughter
- 25:55Speaker 9: graduates high school Jesus, and I've asked my wife to
- 26:00Speaker 9: skip the graduation so my daughter's mom can enjoy the
- 26:04Speaker 9: day in peace. My wife knows she has a slick mouth,
- 26:07Speaker 9: so why is she so eager to go and ruin
- 26:11Speaker 9: the graduation so.
- 26:13Speaker 2: She could so she can slick mouthful? Yeah? Yeah, you know,
- 26:19Speaker 2: we paid for the graduation role.
- 26:23Speaker 7: Happ and down.
- 26:24Speaker 2: You know, I'm gonna be there. I'm onna be there,
- 26:28Speaker 2: you know.
- 26:29Speaker 4: And why don't you just talk to it beforehand and say, hey, listen,
- 26:35Speaker 4: this is my daughter's graduation. I don't want no drama
- 26:39Speaker 4: at her graduation. This day is her day and I
- 26:42Speaker 4: wanted to be about her. So if you could just
- 26:45Speaker 4: please do me a faith, restrain from any contact with them,
- 26:50Speaker 4: you know, and let her and her mother have they
- 26:52Speaker 4: moment and then and then when it's time for you
- 26:55Speaker 4: to take a picture with her. I'm pretty sure she'll
- 26:57Speaker 4: do that, but please don't interfere with her her mama
- 27:01Speaker 4: having her time on her day.
- 27:03Speaker 2: It is her daughter.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Because he just said, he just asked her to skip
- 27:07Speaker 1: the graduation. But that's what he meant.
- 27:09Speaker 2: What you just what y'all mean? Now, the daughter don't
- 27:12Speaker 2: want her to slick mouth. She didn't something slick to
- 27:16Speaker 2: that job.
- 27:17Speaker 1: She doesn't. She doesn't.
- 27:18Speaker 13: Oh, her daughter don't want I'm saying I'm saying that
- 27:21Speaker 13: that wasn't in the letter, but I'm saying that don't
- 27:24Speaker 13: want her either.
- 27:26Speaker 2: That's what I think. She doesn't want her to day anything.
- 27:32Speaker 13: Because if she says something to my mama, Yeah, she
- 27:40Speaker 13: needs to stay at home, all right.
- 27:42Speaker 9: The last one, Steve. This is from Georgia in Norfolk,
- 27:45Speaker 9: Georgia says Georgia, I ordered a linen shirt for my
- 27:51Speaker 9: husband after I saw a man at church with it on.
- 27:54Speaker 9: My husband recognized the shirt and said he'll never wear
- 27:58Speaker 9: the shirt because I liked it on another man.
- 28:02Speaker 1: What's so bad about what I did? It's just a shirt, right,
- 28:08Speaker 1: that's weak.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I never wear this shirt because I saw it on
- 28:13Speaker 2: another man.
- 28:14Speaker 1: And you liked it on another man.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we ain't even really like that. So she wanted
- 28:19Speaker 2: to see her husband in the shirt.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Yeah, she lost the shirt.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I thought the shirt was nice. I know if you
- 28:25Speaker 2: put it on it'll be ice coat. See it like that?
- 28:31Speaker 2: Because he's stupid, He's so stupid.
- 28:35Speaker 1: He will never wear the shirt because she liked it
- 28:39Speaker 1: on another man, on.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Robert, because Robert had it all. But see, I'm gonna
- 28:44Speaker 4: tell you what it was. See she told him that
- 28:49Speaker 4: because it ain't no man drew that correlation. No, she
- 28:53Speaker 4: told him, I saw this shirt on Deacon Burns, and
- 28:59Speaker 4: I ordered it for you, Deacon Burner, old Deacon Berg,
- 29:07Speaker 4: that's what happened. If she had to say it, none
- 29:10Speaker 4: she'd have just ordered to show he want me to
- 29:12Speaker 4: put it on. He didn't even notice the shirt the
- 29:14Speaker 4: Deacon Barro's head on.
- 29:15Speaker 1: All right, thank you, Colo.
- 29:17Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:18Speaker 9: some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 29:21Speaker 10: You're listening Hard Morning Show.
- 29:26Speaker 1: In an exclusive.

- 29:51Speaker 9: a shoe or a sneaker on, but.
- 29:53Speaker 1: If he puts on a boot. But if he puts
- 29:56Speaker 1: on a boot, he can get all the way up
- 29:58Speaker 1: to five five and a half half five five and
- 30:02Speaker 1: a half.
- 30:03Speaker 9: That's good for Kevin, now that Kevin is Now, now

- 30:17Speaker 4: up on this. Well, let's go on and talk to
- 30:21Speaker 4: two little fellas on this show. Right here, y'all gonna

- 30:36Speaker 11: That's something Kevin wanted to do, and icommend him on it.
- 30:39Speaker 11: But I ain't got nothing to do with that. I
- 30:41Speaker 11: ain't got nothing to do with that.
- 30:43Speaker 2: What you don't?
- 30:44Speaker 1: I don't want to say.

- 30:52Speaker 4: That's that's wow? Wait, Shirley sunderstanding?
- 30:58Speaker 5: Is that?
- 30:58Speaker 2: Tommy? What did the doctor say? I don't go to
- 31:06Speaker 2: that doctor no more.
- 31:10Speaker 12: Man.
- 31:11Speaker 4: You can't break up with a doctor because he says
- 31:13Speaker 4: something you ain't want to hear. Now, Tommy, what did
- 31:18Speaker 4: the doctor say when he measured your height?
- 31:23Speaker 11: He said, you fined nine and some change? You just
- 31:27Speaker 11: a little your little little old shop something, ain't you?
- 31:30Speaker 11: And that's when I quit going to him.

- 31:36Speaker 6: That was it.
- 31:38Speaker 11: I didn't think that was good. But what they called

- 33:02Speaker 4: I think Kevin coming up like that and being honest
- 33:06Speaker 4: about it and is allowed for these two people to
- 33:09Speaker 4: come out and share their feelings. Yeah, me personally, I
- 33:14Speaker 4: command y'all for speaking on it, because the last time

- 33:31Speaker 4: do now to mess up my whole day.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Now you're not mad, are you?
- 33:36Speaker 6: Well?
- 33:37Speaker 2: Last time I was five nine, I was about fourteen,
- 33:40Speaker 2: I think.
- 33:44Speaker 9: During the interview, Andison Cooper asked Kevin if he has
- 33:48Speaker 9: his billionaire status yet, and Kevin responded, none of your
- 33:52Speaker 9: business man.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Are you trying to get me robbed?
- 33:55Speaker 11: Oh?
- 33:56Speaker 2: Wow?
- 33:56Speaker 1: He may not be, but he didn't answer.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I know how much ever he makeing it's good.
- 34:05Speaker 4: It is really really lovely, lovely. Yes, Lord, bless your
- 34:11Speaker 4: name Fox.
- 34:14Speaker 1: All right, Steve.
- 34:15Speaker 9: Yet another comedian has voice concern over the future of comedy.
- 34:19Speaker 9: Jerry Seinfeld did an interview with The New Yorker and
- 34:22Speaker 9: he said, quote, the PC crap, you know, politically correct
- 34:27Speaker 9: and the extreme left are causing TV comedy to be extinct.
- 34:31Speaker 1: He said.
- 34:31Speaker 9: Viewers nowadays aren't getting their daily dose of comedy because
- 34:35Speaker 9: the comedy is so heavily policed.
- 34:37Speaker 10: Now.
- 34:38Speaker 9: Seinfeld said, it's a great time for stand up comedians
- 34:41Speaker 9: because they aren't policed by anyone.
- 34:43Speaker 1: So it's a great time.
- 34:45Speaker 4: It is the far left, and that's what I don't
- 34:49Speaker 4: like about. I don't like the far left and I
- 34:52Speaker 4: don't like the far right. These two extremely these Christian
- 34:56Speaker 4: nationalists and need these old self righteous But then the
- 35:01Speaker 4: far left is self righteous too, you know. And in
- 35:05Speaker 4: this world we live in, you have to go along
- 35:07Speaker 4: with everything everybody wants you.
- 35:09Speaker 2: To go along with. Are you wrong for that? And
- 35:11Speaker 2: that ain't right? Man?
- 35:13Speaker 4: Look man, just because you thene created a new norm
- 35:16Speaker 4: for yourself that that don't have to be my norm.
- 35:21Speaker 4: My norm is the way I like my norm to be,
- 35:23Speaker 4: and you should. A person should be allowed to have
- 35:26Speaker 4: their norm. But if a person doesn't agree with your norm,
- 35:30Speaker 4: which don't match up with they know them.
- 35:32Speaker 2: They shouldn't be penalized for that. But people can't say
- 35:36Speaker 2: anymore though. Yeah, that's the thing. Can't nobody take a joke?
- 35:39Speaker 2: Everybody's they want to cancel you.
- 35:41Speaker 7: They're so sensitive.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Yeah, because that's because you're saying something against what they
- 35:46Speaker 4: are calling their norm. But your norm is just norm
- 35:50Speaker 4: to you go on and have your norm, but you
- 35:52Speaker 4: got to be opened up the criticism, just like everybody else.
- 35:55Speaker 2: That's right, all right.
- 35:57Speaker 9: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll get
- 35:59Speaker 9: into the over the top fashion trends for this year's
- 36:02Speaker 9: prom season.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Have you seen some of them? We'll get into that
- 36:05Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening.
- 36:10Speaker 10: Morning show.
- 36:11Speaker 9: Okay, So for years the prom has been a thing
- 36:14Speaker 9: for black students, and most recently, the South has seemed
- 36:17Speaker 9: to take over with fashionable or not so fashionable trends. Now,
- 36:22Speaker 9: the pre pomp, pre prom send off parties have a DJ,
- 36:26Speaker 9: they have a caterer, professional pictures, a car show, lots
- 36:30Speaker 9: of family members and friends gathered around.
- 36:33Speaker 1: We've seen the prom couple, yeah, all of this.
- 36:37Speaker 9: There was one where this young lady was going to prom.
- 36:41Speaker 9: She had dancers.
- 36:43Speaker 2: You saw that they came out the house first.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Came out the house person.
- 36:48Speaker 6: Then she came up.
- 36:49Speaker 2: She had on what's hideous? I saw that she had
- 36:53Speaker 2: a veil across. Did she have a veil across the
- 36:57Speaker 2: All of.
- 37:00Speaker 9: These problems today's are nothing like the ones we had
- 37:02Speaker 9: back in the days. Do you remember your senior prom, Tommy?
- 37:05Speaker 1: You remember?
- 37:06Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:07Speaker 11: Man, I was dressed nice. My girl was dressed nice.
- 37:09Speaker 11: I brought her with your brother and all that. Yeah,
- 37:14Speaker 11: wasn't no, wasn't no. Uh, she was covered from head
- 37:18Speaker 11: to toe.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Let me tell you that.
- 37:20Speaker 9: There's that other picture that was trending with the young
- 37:22Speaker 9: lady in the I think lilac or lavender dress.
- 37:25Speaker 10: Pink.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yeah, all the middle was out. She had a top
- 37:29Speaker 1: and a bottom, but all the out of her dress.
- 37:32Speaker 13: Yes, I mean, come on, your age appropriate. In some
- 37:36Speaker 13: of these schools, I mean I thought they had the
- 37:37Speaker 13: dress code too, Yeah, yeah for the prom. I know
- 37:41Speaker 13: my daughter's school they have that. She didn't go to
- 37:44Speaker 13: prom this year because she's only a sophomore, but had
- 37:48Speaker 13: dress code.
- 37:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Yeah, what about you?
- 37:51Speaker 2: If we can see your draw you can't get in.
- 37:53Speaker 2: That's right there.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the dress code.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. You know, whatever the dress code is,
- 38:04Speaker 2: the rules is where the parents at?
- 38:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I was saying.
- 38:08Speaker 4: Why, I mean, you do still at one point in time,
- 38:11Speaker 4: you've got to say you got to be kidding me.
- 38:14Speaker 2: You know you ain't going nowhere? No, no going yes,
- 38:18Speaker 2: right right, Steve.
- 38:20Speaker 7: You don't need the school's dress code to tell you
- 38:23Speaker 7: if you.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Got a daughter that you let walk out of here
- 38:26Speaker 4: look in any kind of way. Yes, that don't make
- 38:30Speaker 4: no sense. Man.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Yeah, the top, the one with the top in the
- 38:35Speaker 1: bottom and the middle was out in the middle.
- 38:38Speaker 10: That was too much.
- 38:39Speaker 2: It was I saw that one. I didn't see the
- 38:43Speaker 2: I said that was too much.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I saw way too much.
- 38:47Speaker 2: They do a lot, man. Yeah, my problem, I'm glad
- 38:52Speaker 2: my daughter ain't like that. Man, what you say? I said?
- 38:55Speaker 2: My problem is like I was going to church.
- 39:00Speaker 7: We look, we look just like like all the other
- 39:03Speaker 7: sisters in the church and the brothers in the church.
- 39:06Speaker 1: That's Sunday best.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, just I sung the best.
- 39:08Speaker 5: That was it.
- 39:10Speaker 4: My problem is one of the worst times of my life.

- 47:13Speaker 5: Uh.
- 47:14Speaker 6: They saying that some of the church uh members that
- 47:18Speaker 6: was on the band this Sunday. Uh, they are complaining

- 47:28Speaker 6: Excuse me, they say the church vand was smelling like
- 47:33Speaker 6: weed when they got on there. And you are the
- 47:35Speaker 6: person that was driving them.
- 47:38Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no no no, not not not
- 47:40Speaker 2: the van that that I'm driving.
- 47:42Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 47:43Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 47:43Speaker 2: I even't smoke weed in no.
- 47:44Speaker 6: Vand, uh do you smoke weed? No?
- 47:48Speaker 2: I don't smoke weed.
- 47:49Speaker 6: I mean not currently.
- 47:50Speaker 12: I mean I have before, but I don't smoke weed now,
- 47:53Speaker 12: and I would smoke weed before picking some people up
- 47:55Speaker 12: to go. Now, where you caret this from?
- 48:01Speaker 2: Who told you this?
- 48:02Speaker 5: Well?
- 48:02Speaker 6: All I know is what what? What's come down? The
- 48:04Speaker 6: pipeline is? They saying that that a couple of the
- 48:07Speaker 6: members came complaints. See see now.
- 48:10Speaker 12: See this just happened last week about this pipeline. I
- 48:13Speaker 12: want to know who the pipeline is because just last
- 48:16Speaker 12: week they came at me talking about that I was
- 48:18Speaker 12: using the vand to.
- 48:19Speaker 6: Go places that I wanted to go to on my
- 48:21Speaker 6: personal time. Now I don't do that. I don't do
- 48:23Speaker 6: stuff like that.
- 48:24Speaker 4: Now.
- 48:24Speaker 12: I have had a past, I had a history, but
- 48:26Speaker 12: I don't do stuff like that, and I wouldn't smoke
- 48:28Speaker 12: a no church fan, So are you seriously.
- 48:31Speaker 6: Talking to what?
- 48:33Speaker 5: What? What?
- 48:33Speaker 6: We're trying to We're trying to get to the bottom
- 48:35Speaker 6: of it and see what's going on with you. Elderly
- 48:40Speaker 6: person said, do you know which one? I don't know.
- 48:43Speaker 12: They love me every Sunday then people tell me they
- 48:45Speaker 12: love me. They say I'm one of the most respectful
- 48:48Speaker 12: young gentlemen.
- 48:48Speaker 6: They've ever met in their life.
- 48:50Speaker 2: And so I really find it hard to believe that
- 48:51Speaker 2: you you getting these type of complaints about me.
- 48:54Speaker 6: Okay, one of them saying like who we I don't
- 48:57Speaker 6: know what that means or nothing like that.
- 49:00Speaker 12: Look, brother, I don't know you too well, and I
- 49:02Speaker 12: know you don't know me. But I've been driving this
- 49:05Speaker 12: van as as as a point to try to change
- 49:08Speaker 12: my life and where I've come from. So this was
- 49:10Speaker 12: something that I wanted to volunteer even though I'm getting
- 49:13Speaker 12: paid to.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Give my time to do this for the church.
- 49:16Speaker 12: And now this is like the second instance where y'all
- 49:18Speaker 12: and came at me on some stuff about like I'm
- 49:20Speaker 12: trying to do something with this vand now why would
- 49:23Speaker 12: I disrespect the church van by smoking weed in it
- 49:25Speaker 12: and then letting the weeds stay in there so other
- 49:27Speaker 12: people could sell it?
- 49:28Speaker 6: Okay, so let me tell you what we're gonna do.
- 49:31Speaker 6: We're gonna go out here to the church van to
- 49:33Speaker 6: say we're gonna go out here today and open it up. Now,
- 49:36Speaker 6: if we see any seeds or anything around the drive
- 49:40Speaker 6: or seat, then then then we're gonna We're gonna definitely
- 49:44Speaker 6: uh open.
- 49:45Speaker 2: The van up.
- 49:46Speaker 6: But I was raised in that church. Man, My mama
- 49:48Speaker 6: go to that church, my grandma. See you go to
- 49:51Speaker 6: that church.
- 49:51Speaker 2: See the reason we even all left that church.
- 49:53Speaker 12: And you think I'm gonna mess up by driving around
- 49:56Speaker 12: in the van full of the elderly people smoking.
- 49:58Speaker 6: Some then why don't you doing smell like weed? Brother, Dad?
- 50:02Speaker 12: I don't know why to shut the band smell like weed?
- 50:05Speaker 6: Man?
- 50:06Speaker 7: Now I don't.
- 50:06Speaker 6: I don't got the answers to these questions.
- 50:08Speaker 2: I'm just trying to tell you that it wasn't me.
- 50:10Speaker 6: Did you have some weed in your pocket? And maybe
- 50:12Speaker 6: they was just shlell it.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I ain't had no weed on me.
- 50:15Speaker 12: Stop trying to say like I had weed on and
- 50:17Speaker 12: you ain't gonna give me nothing.
- 50:19Speaker 2: I ain't had no and we ain't had no.
- 50:20Speaker 6: Weed on me.
- 50:21Speaker 12: Okay, Now, you ain't gonna mess up my name or
- 50:23Speaker 12: my family's name in this church and disrespect us like this. Now,
- 50:27Speaker 12: We've been helping this church for years, and I'm trying
- 50:29Speaker 12: to tell you that I ain't riding around in no band,
- 50:32Speaker 12: smoking no weed with no elderly people. Did you ask
- 50:34Speaker 12: any of the elderly people if they had any weed
- 50:36Speaker 12: on them?
- 50:38Speaker 5: No?
- 50:39Speaker 6: No, No, I didn't think about no heldly people having
- 50:42Speaker 6: no weed, so you just.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Assume it's me. What one of them got got home
- 50:47Speaker 2: or something?

- 54:30Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Nephew.
- 54:31Speaker 9: Subject he needs to freshen up everything. Dear Uncle Steve
- 54:36Speaker 9: and Aunt Shirley. I'm twenty eight years old and dating
- 54:40Speaker 9: a man that is five years older than I am.
- 54:43Speaker 9: We've been together for eight months and he's someone I
- 54:46Speaker 9: can see myself settling down with. He doesn't have any children,
- 54:50Speaker 9: so that's a plus for me. The only issue we
- 54:53Speaker 9: have is that he has sex with other ladies. He
- 54:56Speaker 9: told me that even though he has sex with other
- 54:59Speaker 9: ons and I'm the only one he spends his time
- 55:02Speaker 9: and money on, he said he doesn't want a cheat
- 55:05Speaker 9: on me, so he's just getting some things out of
- 55:08Speaker 9: the way before he settles down. We talk about marriage
- 55:12Speaker 9: and having children together, and he wants to be married
- 55:15Speaker 9: before he's forty. I need to know if I should
- 55:18Speaker 9: give the relationship more time or if I'm wasting my time.
- 55:23Speaker 9: See I've stayed at his house and I can tell
- 55:25Speaker 9: another female has been in his bed. I can tell
- 55:28Speaker 9: a female has been wrapped up in the blanket on
- 55:30Speaker 9: his couch. I have even seen dirty towels with makeup
- 55:34Speaker 9: on them. I have told him that he should freshen
- 55:37Speaker 9: up before I come over, but I guess he doesn't
- 55:39Speaker 9: have the time. He acts like it's no big deal,
- 55:42Speaker 9: but it does matter to me. I feel like I
- 55:45Speaker 9: don't have a choice but to share him with other women.
- 55:48Speaker 9: But it makes me feel dirty because an older lady
- 55:51Speaker 9: told me about soul ties and supposedly every time I
- 55:55Speaker 9: sleep with him, I get tied to the souls of
- 55:58Speaker 9: all the women he slept with or something like that.
- 56:02Speaker 9: I want to be in a monogamous relationship and I
- 56:05Speaker 9: do not plan to share him forever. He gave me
- 56:08Speaker 9: the key and the code to his alarm. So what's
- 56:11Speaker 9: really going on with him? Is he serious about me?
- 56:16Speaker 9: Come on now, some of this stuff you know isn't right. Okay,
- 56:21Speaker 9: he's seeing other women for starters. You say, the only
- 56:25Speaker 9: issue that you have with him is that he has
- 56:27Speaker 9: sex with other ladies. What this is a major, major
- 56:32Speaker 9: issue because it's not what you want and you're not happy.
- 56:35Speaker 9: Why are you even considering being with this man? I mean,
- 56:39Speaker 9: you're twenty eight. You say, he's five years older than you.
- 56:41Speaker 9: So he's thirty three and he wants to get married
- 56:44Speaker 9: before he's forty. So between now right now today and
- 56:48Speaker 9: forty years old some time in between there, he'll still
- 56:51Speaker 9: be with you, but sleeping around with other women. I mean,
- 56:55Speaker 9: makes this make sense because he said he wants to
- 56:59Speaker 9: get it all out before settles down.
- 57:01Speaker 1: No, you don't have to agree with any of this.
- 57:04Speaker 1: The soul ties all that. I don't know anything about that,
- 57:07Speaker 1: But you don't have to deal with this.
- 57:10Speaker 9: You do have a choice in this matter. If you
- 57:12Speaker 9: don't want to share him, tell him that and get out.
- 57:15Speaker 9: You said you want to be in a monogamous relationship,
- 57:17Speaker 9: Well this is not what you're in. Plus his house
- 57:21Speaker 9: is dirty and nasty.
- 57:23Speaker 4: Ew Steve, all right, all right, they listen to me again.
- 57:32Speaker 4: Here is the new norm that we are being forced
- 57:35Speaker 4: to accept with our line of thinking. That makes sense
- 57:42Speaker 4: for us to give you some foundation. You're twenty eight,
- 57:47Speaker 4: you're dating a man that's five years old, and you
- 57:49Speaker 4: that's thirty three. Y'all been together eight months, and he's
- 57:52Speaker 4: someone I could see myself settling down with. Now, this
- 57:57Speaker 4: statement right here, this is someone I could see myself
- 58:00Speaker 4: setling down with. I'm gonna read the letter back to you,
- 58:02Speaker 4: and I want you to tell me how how you
- 58:05Speaker 4: see something here? Because I'm struggling. I'm struggling for you.
- 58:09Speaker 4: You can see yourself settling down with him. He don't
- 58:13Speaker 4: have any children, So that's a plus for me.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Okay.
- 58:17Speaker 4: The only issue, y'all listening. The only issue is that
- 58:24Speaker 4: he has sex with other lady. I beat, damn, only
- 58:29Speaker 4: I be damn. That's the only issue, you know. The
- 58:33Speaker 4: only issue is he.
- 58:34Speaker 2: Ain't worth it.
- 58:36Speaker 4: The only issue is he domessage his credit up. The
- 58:39Speaker 4: only issue is he just got a divorce. The only
- 58:42Speaker 4: issue is he doesn't have a real solid plan. He
- 58:50Speaker 4: told me that, even though he has sex with other women,
- 58:53Speaker 4: I'm the only one he spends his time and money on.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Little girl. Listen to me. All sex costs time and money.
- 59:05Speaker 3: All of it.
- 59:07Speaker 4: Even though he has sex with other women, I'm the
- 59:09Speaker 4: only one he spends his time and money on.
- 59:12Speaker 2: He gotta be all one of them to have sex.
- 59:18Speaker 1: One more time.
- 59:21Speaker 4: He told me that, even though he has sex with
- 59:24Speaker 4: other women, I'm the only one he spends his time
- 59:28Speaker 4: and money on. To have sex, he got to be
- 59:33Speaker 4: on one of them other women. Okay, and to get
- 59:38Speaker 4: on a woman. It's gonna take some time, you sir.
- 59:43Speaker 2: And some money. Ain't no sex free. So now that's
- 59:51Speaker 2: not a true statement.
- 59:54Speaker 6: He said.
- 59:54Speaker 4: He doesn't want to cheat on me, so he's just
- 59:56Speaker 4: getting some things out the way before he settled down.
- 59:59Speaker 2: He don't want to cheat on you.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: What do you think he's doing?
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: What?
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: I don't understand.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: What is this that you see in settling down with
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: He told me he don't want to cheat on you,
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: but he doing it anyway. He just ain't got your
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: stupid behind to think that if I tell you I'm
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: seeing these people, it ain't cheating.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Well, then it's not because you are complicit.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: You are having a consensual sexual relationship with a man
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: that's involved with other women, and you okay with that. Well,
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: if you okay with it, he real good with it.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:00:43Speaker 9: All right, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two of
- 1:00:45Speaker 9: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after today's
- 1:00:49Speaker 9: Strawberry letter, subject he needs to freshen up Everything.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:55Speaker 10: You're listening Hary Morning Show.
- 1:00:58Speaker 9: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap to Strawberry letter,
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: the subject he needs to freshen up everything.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: Dear uncle Steven, un Shirley, I'm twenty eight. I'm dating
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: a man five years older than me. He thirty three.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: We've been together eight months, and you can see yourself
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: settling down with him.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: He don't have no children. That's a plus.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: The only issue, and he'll go to issue we have,
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: is that he has sex with other ladies. That's not
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: an issue, Like I told you. An issue is he
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: lost his job. An issue is his car broke down.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: His issue is he messed his credit up. His issue
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: is he was recently divorced. Them is issues. He done
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: brought a whole nother lifestyle in here to you, and
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: you'd a bit long with it. He told me that
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: even though he has sex with other women, I'm the
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: only one he spends his time and money on.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: How can that be true? It takes time and money
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: to have sex. That's a fact. He says.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: He don't want to cheat on me. So he's getting
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: some things out the way before he settles down. Before
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: he settled I win. The man told you he want
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: to be married by the time he forty. That's seven years.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: That's a lot of time to swing and slang.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Lady.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: We talked about marriage and having children together, and he
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: wants to be married before he forty. Did you hear
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: what he just told you? I want to be married
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: before I'm forty. He done created a seven year window
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: that he can play with you keep you on the strain,
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: waiting on forty. I need to know if I should
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: give the relationship more time, if I'm wasting your time,
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: or if I'm wasting my time.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Okay, let me read a little bit more. Fight.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: See, I've stayed at his house and I can tell
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: another female has been in his bed. You ain't got
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: to tell he told you. Wow, you ain't got to
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: tell He he ain't. I could tell the female has
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: been wrapped up in the blanket on his couch. Okay,
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: he ain't even move a blanket. I've seen dirty times
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: with makeup on him. He ain't even putting them in
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: the Washington shit. I have told him that he should
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: freshen up before I come over, but I guess he
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: don't have a time. No, lady, it ain't the time.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: He don't care. He'd have told you what he doing.
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: And you have complied and are complicit with it. You
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: are what's called an accessory, an accomplice. There's a crime
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: being committed, and you're an accessory and accomplished to the crime,
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: and you okay with it. You see the evidence, the
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: blanket on the couch, the makeup on the tiels that
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: had any earrings in the bed and you crawling your
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: stupid self up in there, thinking you want to spend
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: your life with this man. He acts like it's no
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: big deal, but it does matter to me, and he
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: don't give a damn. I feel like I don't have
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: a choice but to share him. What what what made
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: you say that? What made you say you feel like
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: you don't have a choice. You can stop this right
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: away if you get off being stuck on stupid.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: You have nothing. Nothing belongs to you.
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: He's given you nothing, He's given you no commitment, he's
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: given you no promises. Y'all having false talks. I won't
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: get married by time I'm forty thirty three. Wow the
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: other women. But it makes me feel dirty because here
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: we go and older woman told me about soul tithes
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: and supposedly every time I sleep with him, I get
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: tied to the souls of all the women he slept
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: with or something like that. Where you get this ignorant
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: ass voody? What is that embody? Now, this is the
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: only thing you know this show. Takeaway some old ass
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: woman that told you you having soul ties, that every
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: time you sleep with the woman you tied to the
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: souls of these other worlds?
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: What raggedy ass voodoo mess is this?
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: This?
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: Mississippi Louise Ina caging hill billy? Ask mess, lady girl bye.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: I want to be in a monogamous relationship, but you not.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: In order to be in a monogamous relationship, you have
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: to be in a man that's willing to be monogamous.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: You and a man who's telling you he's cheating. He
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: gave me and a key and a cold to his alarm,
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: so what's really going on with him? Is he serious
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: about me? He gave you the key and the cold
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: to his alarm, so he ain't got to go down
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: there and open the door when you come in.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: That's all that is.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: He gave you, gave you the key and the cold,
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: so he ain't got to go down there. But you
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: can't go over there when you want to. Now you
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: got to call for you come by. I promise you.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: Just when you come by, let me know you're coming,
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: and then he'll tell you whether to come or not.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: And then when you do come, you got the key
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: in the cold because he ain't going down and letting
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: you in. Now, let me ask you something else. Here's
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: your other problem. I feel like I have no choice,
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: but it makes me feel dirty. Suppose I'm gonna sleep
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: in the one that now listen to me. This is
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: all the stuff he's told you, But what you need
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: to be concerned about is what is he telling these
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: other women? Because I bet you he has said this
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: several times before and his work, and that's why he
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: doing it. He'd have told somebody somebody else got a
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: key in the cold too, somebody else have been on
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: the couch watching movies, somebody else been in the bed,
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: and somebody else using a towel. Little girl, if you
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: don't get away from this, you gonna get hurt. You
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: gonna get hurt. Get out because this man, he's doing
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: nothing for you except using you. And I promise you
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: he's doing this to several other women, and he got
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: you hanging on a hope that he gonna get married
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: by the time he forty, he thirty three, that's the
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: seven years.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? Sweetheart?
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Do yourself for favor, find yourself something else to do,
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: because your hope is to be in a monoco this relationship,
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: and that ain't his.

- 1:10:28Speaker 1: All right, thank you, Junior. Coming up at the top
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: of the hour, a wife caught her mother in law
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: in a lie, so she needs your guidance, Steve. We'll
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: get into it right after this.
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: All right. See this is from Dot in Monroe.
- 1:10:43Speaker 9: DoD says, I get off work at twelve am, and
- 1:10:46Speaker 9: I usually talk to my husband until I get home.
- 1:10:49Speaker 9: More than a few times his mom beeped in and
- 1:10:52Speaker 9: he got off the phone with me. I playfully told
- 1:10:54Speaker 9: his mom to stop interrupting our calls, and she said
- 1:10:58Speaker 9: it isn't her because she's you usually asleep by ten pm.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: My husband was busted.
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: The next day, his mom called me to say she
- 1:11:07Speaker 9: was playing with me and she has called my husband
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: late at night when she was having trouble falling asleep.
- 1:11:14Speaker 9: I called her a liar, and all held broke loose.
- 1:11:18Speaker 9: I stand on what I said, because why is she
- 1:11:21Speaker 9: lying to me?
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: Horse, now, what you doing though? Ain't no need of
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: getting mad at the mama. See y'all lose, y'all focus

- 1:11:39Speaker 7: You a liar?
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: You better blah blah blah blah. Yo, you didn't.
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: You ain't take no vioals with her. You took your
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: vo with your husband. You take all his attention to
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: turn it to your hook. That's all you got to do,
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: and then you'll you'll save yourself a lot of pain.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: Don't start no war with this man's mama. But that
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: ain't who your war was.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: She tried to help cover, and that's normal. Your mama
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: will cover for you. I don't know nothing the mother
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: won't do for her child. You have to understand that
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: and get your focus back on your man.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: That's what you need to do the real life. No
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: war just won't. That ain't your won't?

- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I thought I had locked my door.
- 1:12:53Speaker 9: My ex boyfriend had a smile on his face and said, well,

- 1:12:59Speaker 9: mixed up. It was a bad prank, nephew, adride. It
- 1:13:05Speaker 9: didn't go overwhel at all. My guy didn't think it
- 1:13:09Speaker 9: was funny and he left. Okay, how do I stop
- 1:13:12Speaker 9: this from happening again?
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: I don't know how you thought that was a prank.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: I don't know, but see, I think it's some information
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: missing in this. To be honest with you, because ain't

- 1:13:29Speaker 2: I mean that that ain't that.

- 1:13:57Speaker 4: Ain't no dude staying with no eggs, paying no money,
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: and it ain't tipping across the hall. Ain't nobody doing that,
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: and he got his days mixed up. I thought it
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: was my day because they got that type of relationship.
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: He didne walked around. Oh, he'd have just opened her
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: door before. That's why he opened the door.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: That's why she.
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: Said, I thought I had locked my door because that
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: boy been tipping across that hallway for quite some time. Sister,

- 1:19:09Speaker 9: I used to be like, all right, last one, would
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: you rather a body like the Tasmanian Devil?
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: Or would you like a body like winning the food?

- 1:20:06Speaker 9: Coming up next, last break of the day, and we'll
- 1:20:08Speaker 9: close out the show with the one and only Steve
- 1:20:10Speaker 9: Harvey right after this.
- 1:20:12Speaker 10: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: day on this Wednesday. This week is moving. We had
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: a good day today, and Steve, you want to take
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: us out with some closing remind.
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I'm really really getting concerned about this
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: upcoming election, and I think we need to have some
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: real conversations. I'm not the most influential person in our culture,
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: but I can take the moments that I have on
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: this radio show to address those that we all listen
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: because there's a lot of young people like this twenty
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: eight year old at wrote in the Strawberry Letter today, Well,
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: a lot of young people, Uncle Steve, aunt Shirley, can
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: you help me so I'm assuming that we have a
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: lot of a wide variety of listeners, and we do.
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: But y'all, let me just say this about this election.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: I got you sick of it. I got it seems
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: to be an adequate and a purpose that you all
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: are sick of. But I'm listen to me. You just
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: can't get sick of your obligation. We all sick of
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: some obligation, all of us. Some of us were sick
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: of tired of people, sick of tired of taking care
- 1:21:39Speaker 4: of people that's unappreciative. We're sick and tired of going
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: to some of these jobs every day. We're sick of
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: tired of doing what we have to do, but we
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: get up and we do them anyway. Voting is something
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: we have to do. We have to do it, y'all.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: I don't think you understand the price some people paid
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: in front of us so we could vote.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: This is not a privilege to vote.
- 1:22:03Speaker 4: This is an obligation and a privilege that was a
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: time when we were not allowed to. I'm talking to
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: black people now, I'm talking specifically to black people.
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: We have an obligation to vote.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: Your grandfathers, your grandmothers, they paid man they paid dearly
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: for us. My mother and father born in nineteen fourteen. Man,
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: you know how long ago that was. Do you know
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: what they saw in the twenties. My grandfather was a
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: slave to. He was twelve years old. Not my great grandfather.
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: My father's father was.
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: A slave to.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: He was twelve years old. See, it ain't that far
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: away from me. I have constant reminders grew up in segregation.
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: I have seen with my own eyes colored only water fountains,
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: color it's only bathroom. I remember when black people couldn't
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: sit at lunch counters. I've been to Woolworth and Kresky's.
- 1:23:22Speaker 4: I've been there. So it ain't that far away now.
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: Just because you didn't see it with your own eyes,
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: don't get blinded by it. And these far right Republicans,
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: these Christian nationalists and all these people are making sure
- 1:23:39Speaker 4: you stay in the dark or what happening, because now
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: they're getting rid of all diversity education courses, They're getting
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: rid of all these diversity and equality programs in the country.
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: They taking it out of schools, they taking it out
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: of jobs. They are trying to erase it from your
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: memory bank. They don't want you to know what their
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: forefathers did because they tired of suffering on the guilt trip.
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: But that ain't the real reason. They don't mind suffering
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: from the guilt trip. They want to make America great again.
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: Y'all ain't listening. They want things back to where it
- 1:24:15Speaker 4: used to be. That's what they say. That's what they
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: mean when they say let's make America great again. Well,
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: damn it, When was America ever great for black people?
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: What time period you want to go back? What you
- 1:24:28Speaker 4: want the fifties again? You want the early sixties again?
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: Because I was here in the early sixties, I was
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: here in the late fifties.
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: I was here.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: So you want to make a make a make America?
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: When when was America great for black people?
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: That's right. You ain't talking to us.
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: You talking to all the mega people that's willing to
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: put that red hat on and wear it around. You
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: want to make America great again for them? What you
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: want to go back to tarn feathering black people?
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: I'm sorry, that's right. You found a slicker way to
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: do it. Oh it's called uh it's i oh. Oh,
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: it's called erasing uh diversification programs. It's rescinding the Voters'
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: Rights Act. Oh and they ain't through. They done already
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: took away women's right to decide what to do with
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: they body roll versus wade. Now they gonna go after
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: the educational system. In a minute, y'all gonna look up,
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: and America gonna be right back where it was before.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: And that's the America we gonna be living in, all
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: because we didn't feel like going down there voting no more.
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: Oh really, Oh you didn't wanna go vote no more?
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: Oh so now y'all.
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: Wearing these ridiculous ass t shirts, all these blacks for Trumps,
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: when Trump ain't ever been for black folks. I watched
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: an interview one day. This writer was interviewing Donald Trump,
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: and he asked Donald Trump. He said, how do you
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: live your life when your life is always in a storm?
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: Do you know what Donald Trump's response was, I am
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: the storm? Because you know, I was sitting up going, man,
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: how could it be like living like him? When he's
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: always in some controversial mess, he's always in the news,
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: he's always being talked about, he's always in trouble. Well,
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: he is the storm, and he'd have made the storm normal.
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: And now you're gonna take your black ass down there
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: and vote for the storm. You stupid. You ain't the
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: eye of the tornado. You the results of the tornado.
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: We need to vote and stop this damn foolishness talking
- 1:26:46Speaker 4: about some blacks for Trump when Trump ain't for blacks.
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: Y'all think about that man, if you would. There's more
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: eloquent speakers than me. But this how I talk, and
- 1:26:56Speaker 4: real simple and plain. Y'all, have a great day. Talk
