- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your fab it uh huh
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shore will I good morning everybody you're listening to
- 2:04Speaker 1: the voice, Come on gig me now, one and only
- 2:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, nothing changes about that,
- 2:13Speaker 1: Nothing changes about that. Man. I was just so getting
- 2:18Speaker 1: ready to come on the air this morning. I was
- 2:22Speaker 1: just thinking, man, I was just having a reflective moment
- 2:26Speaker 1: of just how really good God has been to me.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I just it's it's it's man. Let me just say
- 2:36Speaker 1: that again, how really good God has been to me.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And here's a cold part. In spite of myself, you understand,
- 2:45Speaker 1: in spite of all my shortcomings, in spite of all
- 2:49Speaker 1: of my flaws, and and and and in spite of
- 2:54Speaker 1: all of what anybody has said about me, God through
- 2:59Speaker 1: his rason mercy just keeps me anyway as always. You know,
- 3:04Speaker 1: I was. I get taught things by people who know
- 3:07Speaker 1: a whole lot more than I do. And Bishop TD
- 3:10Speaker 1: Jakes is one of my favorite teachers. He's just one
- 3:12Speaker 1: of my favorite people. He happens to be a friend
- 3:15Speaker 1: of mine too. I mean, he's always there for me
- 3:18Speaker 1: when I don't have anywhere else to turn, you know.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I mean he said he was talking about a thing
- 3:26Speaker 1: that he was calling exceptionalism, and what it was all
- 3:31Speaker 1: about was so many of us are exceptional people, but
- 3:38Speaker 1: we refuse to just go ahead and be exceptional. We
- 3:44Speaker 1: settle for the ordinary. We follow the pack. We try
- 3:50Speaker 1: to fit in. Man, oh man, oh man. You know,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I've heard my wife say this to my children all
- 3:57Speaker 1: the time. When she's scolding and talking to him. She'd
- 3:59Speaker 1: be talking to him about leadership. You know, why are
- 4:02Speaker 1: you following everybody when God clearly made you to lead?
- 4:06Speaker 1: You know, she talks to him about that all the time.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So many of us are born, and so many of
- 4:11Speaker 1: you are born to be exceptional people, but we always
- 4:15Speaker 1: trying to follow the pack, always trying to be a follower,
- 4:22Speaker 1: always trying to fit in, when clearly you were born
- 4:28Speaker 1: to be exceptional. And one of the things he was
- 4:31Speaker 1: talking about. I'm paraphrasing all this now because i gotta
- 4:33Speaker 1: get it into the way that I can tell it
- 4:35Speaker 1: to you. Because he's such a gifted speaker man that's
- 4:39Speaker 1: he has, He's at another level. So I'm trying to
- 4:41Speaker 1: paraphrase this to get you to world this where you
- 4:43Speaker 1: can understand this. Why would you try to fit in?
- 4:47Speaker 1: Why would you try to be like everybody else be ordinary?
- 4:54Speaker 1: Why would you follow the pack? When God has created
- 4:57Speaker 1: you to be exceptional? You know that the key word
- 5:03Speaker 1: in exceptional is except you. Ever you ever done this
- 5:07Speaker 1: right here? You know everybody did that accept me. Everybody
- 5:12Speaker 1: felt that way except me. Everybody said that except me.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Everybody won't wanted that. Accept me. Everybody went over that
- 5:24Speaker 1: except me. Everybody jumped in except me, accept me. See
- 5:32Speaker 1: why have you saying that in your life? If you
- 5:34Speaker 1: were not to be exceptional? See, you got to say
- 5:38Speaker 1: everybody accept me at one point in You'll to I
- 5:41Speaker 1: don't know who ain't done it. You know everybody wanted
- 5:44Speaker 1: everybody voted no except me. See it. So you're not
- 5:50Speaker 1: You're not created to follow the pack. You ain't created
- 5:53Speaker 1: to fit in. You ain't created to, uh, you know,
- 5:56Speaker 1: to be ordinary. You will create it to be exceptional,
- 6:00Speaker 1: as exceptional as your fingerprint on your finger is. You
- 6:04Speaker 1: were created to be exceptional. Why not make this the
- 6:08Speaker 1: year that you go ahead on and be exceptional? Why
- 6:13Speaker 1: won't this be the year that you decide in your mind?
- 6:16Speaker 1: But just has to be a decision that we make.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Now we're not following the pack no more. We're not
- 6:22Speaker 1: trying to fit in no more. We ain't settling for
- 6:25Speaker 1: ordinary no more. We're gonna be exceptional. But you know,
- 6:29Speaker 1: you got you got to go ahead and follow that.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You got to get on the exceptional path because that's
- 6:34Speaker 1: what you were created for. Why be ordinary? You know?
- 6:37Speaker 1: But all of this this comes to it has to
- 6:40Speaker 1: start with a thought. You got to first think something
- 6:45Speaker 1: thought to become things. A man is as he thinketh
- 6:50Speaker 1: that's all you will ever be. So what are your
- 6:53Speaker 1: thoughts today? Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts?
- 6:57Speaker 1: Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of fitting me in thoughts?
- 7:01Speaker 1: So why you want to be like everybody else? Why
- 7:04Speaker 1: you want to be ordinary when you could possibly be
- 7:07Speaker 1: extraordinary with a change of your mind, a change of
- 7:11Speaker 1: your venue, and you don't have to be any other
- 7:14Speaker 1: kind of way just because my mama was this way,
- 7:17Speaker 1: my daddy was this way, or this the school I
- 7:19Speaker 1: went to? This? What race I belong to? This is
- 7:22Speaker 1: my sexual preference, this is my this, this is my dad? Why?
- 7:26Speaker 1: How many? How many? How many excuses? You need? I'm
- 7:29Speaker 1: an excuse? What? What? What? What? You? What's it gonna
- 7:32Speaker 1: be this year that we let another three hundred and
- 7:35Speaker 1: sixty five days slip by without improving our condition, our place,
- 7:40Speaker 1: our spot, our life, the quality of life we have.
- 7:45Speaker 1: We cannot afford to keep letting all these years go
- 7:50Speaker 1: by without changing. You're an exceptional person. How many times
- 7:56Speaker 1: have you set up and said, everybody did that? Accept me?
- 8:01Speaker 1: You know I was only everybody jumped in accept me.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I told him, I knew it. Everybody voted for that,
- 8:07Speaker 1: accept me, And now look at it, man, it seemed
- 8:12Speaker 1: like everybody went that way, accept me. Okay? Do you
- 8:17Speaker 1: get it? Do you understand what's being said to you
- 8:22Speaker 1: that a't accept me is because couldn't it be? Because
- 8:26Speaker 1: you're an exceptional person and it's time for you to
- 8:29Speaker 1: take control of that. It's time for you to start
- 8:31Speaker 1: thinking different It's time for you to start acting on
- 8:34Speaker 1: what you think. It's time for you to start doing
- 8:37Speaker 1: something about it. It's time for you to stop taking
- 8:40Speaker 1: each and every day that God gives us for granted
- 8:42Speaker 1: and letting them go by the wayside like you got
- 8:45Speaker 1: plenty more. Well, you may have plenty of mode, but
- 8:48Speaker 1: guess what what you wasting the ones you got for?
- 8:52Speaker 1: I got you young, and you and you feel like
- 8:54Speaker 1: you're gonna live forever. Da Okay, cool, But let me
- 8:58Speaker 1: ask you something. See here here here they go to
- 9:00Speaker 1: part about suppose you do live? See see, everybody will
- 9:04Speaker 1: about dying. But I got news for you. Suppose you
- 9:06Speaker 1: keep on living. You want to keep living in the
- 9:09Speaker 1: condition you in now. You want to keep living with
- 9:11Speaker 1: the money you got now. You want to keep living
- 9:14Speaker 1: with the relationship you got now. You want to keep
- 9:16Speaker 1: living by yourself like you are now. You want to
- 9:19Speaker 1: keep wanting the right relationship, the right man, the the
- 9:22Speaker 1: right woman, but you keep getting the wrong one. You
- 9:24Speaker 1: want to keep doing that for the rest of your life.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Problem ain't dying. It's problem is if you keep on living.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Who wants to keep on living just the way they
- 9:32Speaker 1: are right now? And if you can say I'm cool
- 9:35Speaker 1: with I am just the way I am right now.
- 9:37Speaker 1: It ain't cool. This conversation ain't for you. I ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: got no problem with that. You know, you want to say,
- 9:43Speaker 1: greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional, ain't for everybody. Becoming
- 9:48Speaker 1: extraordinary ain't fun everybody. Heck, becoming successful ain't fun everybody.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I got it. And you can come up with a
- 9:56Speaker 1: way to justify your non existence in your ordinary life
- 9:59Speaker 1: all you want, and that's fine and dandy. I ain't
- 10:02Speaker 1: got no problem with it. Because some people just gonna
- 10:05Speaker 1: be regular. Some people just gonna follow the pack, follow
- 10:09Speaker 1: the crowd. Some people just wants to fit in. But
- 10:12Speaker 1: if you're not that person, if you want to be extraordinary,
- 10:16Speaker 1: if you want to be exceptional, if you want to
- 10:18Speaker 1: be if you want to dare to be great at something,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and you got to change your mind set. You got
- 10:24Speaker 1: to get with your creating, find out what he created
- 10:26Speaker 1: you fault. You gotta quit thinking of things just in
- 10:29Speaker 1: your own thought process. You know, lean not to your
- 10:32Speaker 1: own understanding. I don't know what that is, but it's
- 10:34Speaker 1: in there somewhere. Seeing Once you lean, if you lean
- 10:38Speaker 1: to your own understanding, you know what it's gonna do.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's gonna limit you, man, it's gonna limit you. Why
- 10:43Speaker 1: not see what God got for you. I would rather
- 10:46Speaker 1: know what God got for me than to think of
- 10:49Speaker 1: all the things I could because I can't out think
- 10:51Speaker 1: him out and tried it before. All Right, it's just
- 10:54Speaker 1: the beginning. We're gonna have a good one. Man. Let's go.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls. Trump died his head. Doc. Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 1: it's a Oh, it's an auburn. Oh, I didn't know
- 11:14Speaker 1: that autumn alburn like the college. I don't know what
- 11:20Speaker 1: it is. No, I don't know. Yeah, I heard that
- 11:26Speaker 1: he does his own makeup. Somebody said, oh, he's the
- 11:29Speaker 1: one responsible for those white eyes and orange skins. Well,
- 11:33Speaker 1: the white eyes are supposed to make you look brighter,
- 11:36Speaker 1: I know, you know, like somebody going, who he just
- 11:40Speaker 1: wears this little glass or something covered? I covered, I covered.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that. What I'm gonna gonge? Yeah, get
- 11:55Speaker 1: just having a lot of problems with black See what
- 11:58Speaker 1: that dude? You know? O? Orange face, Gucci and everybody
- 12:03Speaker 1: else just saw the new stuff. Who's gonna be mad
- 12:06Speaker 1: about purple face? Good morning, everybody? How y'all doing okay?
- 12:13Speaker 1: Well it started that went off a little bit different

- 12:35Speaker 1: first place. Yeah, that's about third one y'all the one,

- 13:24Speaker 1: bowls and they had them big giant bowls in the
- 13:27Speaker 1: back and the ones that sit on top, you know,
- 13:32Speaker 1: you know, almost looked like Mickey Mouse is. Yeah, they
- 13:35Speaker 1: prop up who and they was excited. Yes, it's like
- 13:41Speaker 1: watching have you ever watched college gymnastics? Yes, you know,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you know, like so one of the girls get up
- 13:48Speaker 1: on the uneven bars or something, or or the pope
- 13:51Speaker 1: or the vault the whole time, and then as soon
- 13:56Speaker 1: as she do, I don't care what she can do.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Three hops damn their fall. They all come charging over
- 14:02Speaker 1: there and they hugging and high five and I've done

- 14:16Speaker 1: Didn't stick it and didn't didn't stick it, just stuff
- 14:20Speaker 1: on it and rolled off for it. One little girl
- 14:23Speaker 1: just fell off the mat and then jumped into her pole.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I say, get up on the mat, you answered, off
- 14:32Speaker 1: the man? All right? Coming up at thirty two after

- 22:34Speaker 1: mom gets my kids for me and she drops them off. Okay, okay, okay,
- 22:41Speaker 1: Well we have a we have a bit of a problem.
- 22:43Speaker 1: The kids are fine. There's there's no issue with the
- 22:45Speaker 1: kids at all. But you know, we've had a meeting
- 22:49Speaker 1: here at the HLA. We've been getting some complaints. Uh
- 22:52Speaker 1: it seems like your mother is is uh really speeding
- 22:57Speaker 1: down the street real fast, and and you know everyone's
- 23:01Speaker 1: complaining about it that you know, it's a lot of
- 23:04Speaker 1: kids walking home from school and it seems like your
- 23:07Speaker 1: mom is driving real fast when she's coming down the
- 23:09Speaker 1: street to drop your kids off. Did you know anything
- 23:12Speaker 1: about this? Uh? No, not at all. That doesn't even
- 23:17Speaker 1: sound like her. Okay, what type of car? Uh? Let
- 23:23Speaker 1: me ask you this, Natalie. We're we're from what I understand,
- 23:26Speaker 1: it is a what kind of car does your mom had?
- 23:30Speaker 1: Is a board escape or something like that? From a
- 23:34Speaker 1: little suv? Does that what your mom has? Yeah? She
- 23:37Speaker 1: has a little red stuv? Okay, all right? So the
- 23:43Speaker 1: problem is is that that that's the same car. That's
- 23:46Speaker 1: the one we're talking about. And it seems like, you know,
- 23:49Speaker 1: your mother is is flying down the street and she
- 23:52Speaker 1: drops the kids off, and when she leaves, she's flying
- 23:55Speaker 1: back out of the neighborhood and a couple of times
- 23:57Speaker 1: some of the neighbors have told her to slow down,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and you know, I don't know if she's flicked them
- 24:02Speaker 1: off or set something out the window, you know, but
- 24:05Speaker 1: you know, this is stuff that we just cannot tolerate. Huh. Well,
- 24:11Speaker 1: it really doesn't sound like my mom. But you know, okay,
- 24:15Speaker 1: you know what, Natalie, what what we're not gonna do
- 24:17Speaker 1: is what you're not gonna do is act like it's
- 24:19Speaker 1: not your mamma. It's your mother that's doing this. So
- 24:22Speaker 1: what we need you to do is tell your mama
- 24:24Speaker 1: to slow up down so we don't ask problem, all right,
- 24:27Speaker 1: because I tried to be nice with you at first.
- 24:29Speaker 1: But if you're gonna be a denial, I think it's
- 24:31Speaker 1: not your mamma. Then we got to issue. First of all,
- 24:36Speaker 1: Darren from h O A, I need you to watch
- 24:38Speaker 1: your charls and who you're talking to, all right, I
- 24:41Speaker 1: need you to calm that all the way down. All right.
- 24:47Speaker 1: You need to slow your damn mama down. That's what
- 24:49Speaker 1: you need to do. Slow your mama down. The way
- 24:51Speaker 1: she's driving. To do is standing in the middle of
- 24:54Speaker 1: the street and she flying down and so hopefully she
- 24:56Speaker 1: can knock you out the way. Okay, don't talk to
- 24:59Speaker 1: me like that. You being ruined it respectful. I would
- 25:02Speaker 1: ask her if this time, because I don't think it's hard.
- 25:04Speaker 1: But you're not gonna talk to me like that, okay,
- 25:07Speaker 1: So your mama can just drive down the streets and
- 25:09Speaker 1: after damn what you want to do? What Ima could
- 25:13Speaker 1: do whatever she wanted to do. She ha gon had drum.
- 25:15Speaker 1: She can't do it in the neighborhood that I'm a
- 25:18Speaker 1: member of the h O and she can't do it
- 25:20Speaker 1: there Okay, I don't mind whatever your mama arrested with
- 25:24Speaker 1: your kids in the car. If I got to, I
- 25:26Speaker 1: wish you would. I wish you would have my mama
- 25:29Speaker 1: arrested with my kids in the car. You're gonna have
- 25:32Speaker 1: more problems than you ever had. Okay, you bet not
- 25:35Speaker 1: have my mama arrested. You're gonna get arrested and you're
- 25:39Speaker 1: gonna be sent to the hospital. How about that. Okay,
- 25:42Speaker 1: let me tell yourself. Tell your mama so slow her
- 25:45Speaker 1: down in the streets. This the last one, and I'm
- 25:48Speaker 1: giving y'all this the last one. Well, you know what
- 25:51Speaker 1: I'm saying. You ain't got to get no one. It's okay.
- 25:53Speaker 1: We can have a real conversation about it. We can
- 25:56Speaker 1: meet and talk about it. She ain't gonna talk to
- 25:58Speaker 1: me like that. And you can't tell me my mama nothing.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I ain't comeing out of small own thing about that.
- 26:03Speaker 1: What you're gonna do? What's your mom to dare? That
- 26:06Speaker 1: must meet about it? And I'm about bringing my husband too.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Says you got so much to say, you don't say that.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I don't want you to kiss that same energy. Okay
- 26:14Speaker 1: with my husband. I want you to talk to him
- 26:16Speaker 1: like you talking to me. I literally tell you something.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I ain't worry about your husband and none of that.
- 26:22Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna say I'm gonna say this right here.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this right here. Tommy is the one
- 26:27Speaker 1: that told us that your mamma was speaking down the street.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Commedy one said it, Tommy put it out, Timmy. Tommy
- 26:35Speaker 1: said your mamma was the one running up and down
- 26:38Speaker 1: the street fast going part of picking mile and out.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Commedy one said that, I don't know who timmy shoes,
- 26:44Speaker 1: but Tommy can kiss my. You can kiss my, and
- 26:48Speaker 1: any other neighbors who got something to say about my
- 26:50Speaker 1: mama can kiss my about that. You gonna shoot it?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Let me and shoot it, do you? Little Matthew Tommy
- 26:57Speaker 1: from a Steve Harvey Morning show. Do you know who
- 27:02Speaker 1: stops me? Why are you going, mam mis god like
- 27:20Speaker 1: pe talking question to me about to get you? What up? Brother?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Let you tell me you'll to the Darius got me
- 27:29Speaker 1: to play fall Call you baby, you'll see. Oh oh
- 27:34Speaker 1: it's going down. It is going damn okay. Back is
- 27:39Speaker 1: a real mother. You know. I'm I'm getting back man.
- 27:45Speaker 1: I like my mama talk to me like that. Stot me.
- 27:52Speaker 1: You got me. Everybody, come me this one more thing
- 27:55Speaker 1: before you go. What is the baddest and I mean
- 27:58Speaker 1: the baddest radio show is Belated. You know it's the
- 28:02Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Martin Shaw and All. You gotta do. Tell
- 28:11Speaker 1: something once it's somebody mama. Yeah, you know you go
- 28:15Speaker 1: too far. It's a bit too far, but sometimes you
- 28:18Speaker 1: gotta let people know about their MoMA. No you don't.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Where are you gonna be? You're not gonna win this argument.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Bring your mama out Kaleen, Texas this weekend. Bring your
- 28:31Speaker 1: mom out this weekend. Yeah, twice. It is Funny Comedy Club.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I'm in Kaleen, Texas Thursday. That is Valentine's Night. Two
- 28:39Speaker 1: Thursday to Friday, and two Saturday. The nephew will be
- 28:41Speaker 1: in the building. Place is Funny comedy Club. I'm hanging
- 28:45Speaker 1: out at the military base. I'm doing everything while I'm
- 28:47Speaker 1: in Colleen, Texas. The nephew Kaleen that's at home. Basically
- 28:51Speaker 1: all right, shout out to Colleen. Yeah you want to come, sure,
- 28:55Speaker 1: Sure you're gonna wear your bloom. How you got going? Uh? Yeah,
- 28:59Speaker 1: it's on my head. Yeah, I just thought you were
- 29:04Speaker 1: to go with that coat because they go with that coat. No,
- 29:07Speaker 1: thank you, who's you know, nice trado? It actually wasn't
- 29:19Speaker 1: a nice tri to get that with awful all right,
- 29:26Speaker 1: So coming up at the top of the hour in
- 29:28Speaker 1: entertainment news, Katie Perry's black face shoes get pulled and
- 29:31Speaker 1: Nicki Minaj is mad at b et. We'll talk about
- 29:34Speaker 1: that right after this. You're listening to all right, what
- 29:41Speaker 1: is going on this Black History Month? Uh? Here we
- 29:44Speaker 1: go again. It seems like time and time again, the
- 29:46Speaker 1: fashion industry does not recognize black face fashion as being offensive.
- 29:52Speaker 1: What is a problem and what are we going to
- 29:53Speaker 1: have to do to get that through to them? Katy
- 29:56Speaker 1: Perry has a shoe line. Katy Perry, the singer, has
- 29:59Speaker 1: a shoe line that is um It's distributed by Dillardton Walmart.
- 30:04Speaker 1: And one of Katie's shoe designs look just like black face.
- 30:07Speaker 1: It looks just like that. The white folks is doing
- 30:09Speaker 1: the most in black history money? Is that what you're saying?
- 30:11Speaker 1: Oh man, what did Nick Cannon say on his ig
- 30:15Speaker 1: on the gram? He said, happy black face history money?
- 30:18Speaker 1: Because that's what's happening. That's what's happening. Here, you know. Um, yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 1: Katy Perry's catching a lot of heat for these shoes.
- 30:26Speaker 1: She has two. She has one that looks like white
- 30:28Speaker 1: face and then one that's kind of pink, and then
- 30:31Speaker 1: the black shoes look like black face. It's craziness going
- 30:35Speaker 1: on right now. Yeah, I saw him. Yeah they look crazy. Yeah,
- 30:39Speaker 1: Katie said, she did not. Of course, you did not
- 30:42Speaker 1: intend for the design to offend anyone. And Dillardton Walmart,
- 30:46Speaker 1: they've pulled the shoes from the website. Well, thank you
- 30:50Speaker 1: for that. But yeah, you know, come on, man, I mean,
- 30:54Speaker 1: come on, Steve, what are you saying? That's all time? Hig?
- 30:57Speaker 1: I mean, you know, to be honest with you, I've
- 31:00Speaker 1: been around sixty two years. That's a while, you know,
- 31:04Speaker 1: and I'm just I get exhausted from having to wake
- 31:09Speaker 1: up and having to constantly adjust a deal with an
- 31:15Speaker 1: address the fact that I happen to be black. You know,
- 31:19Speaker 1: I don't know if people can understand what that's like,
- 31:22Speaker 1: a matter of fact, I know you can't because you
- 31:25Speaker 1: have to. It's it's it's so it's it's such an
- 31:31Speaker 1: add on to your day, you know, like life ain't
- 31:34Speaker 1: already challenging as it is, just the flows of life,
- 31:38Speaker 1: grieving loss of loved ones, you know, jobs, separation, love, stress,
- 31:46Speaker 1: trying to make it, trying to build your dreams. On
- 31:50Speaker 1: top of all of that, you then have to wake
- 31:55Speaker 1: up and contend with this on top of all of it,
- 31:59Speaker 1: like like life is not enough as it is, and
- 32:03Speaker 1: then we got to add this additional thing on top
- 32:08Speaker 1: of all of that. And then on top of that,
- 32:13Speaker 1: here we go with the fashion industry is tripping, the
- 32:18Speaker 1: White house is tripping. People who think they have a
- 32:23Speaker 1: voice coming from the top now are tripping harder and
- 32:27Speaker 1: more outwardly and openly. And so now we're just sitting
- 32:30Speaker 1: up in here going wow, man, for real, y'all for real.
- 32:34Speaker 1: And then every time you call them on it, every
- 32:37Speaker 1: single time, there's this apology like I just didn't know. Well,
- 32:42Speaker 1: damn man, you know what, maybe if you would put
- 32:46Speaker 1: some black people somewhere around you that was in the
- 32:51Speaker 1: because because I'm gonna give your prime example, all these
- 32:57Speaker 1: people being hit with this, all these fashion houses, but
- 33:00Speaker 1: you ain't heard nothing from Louis Verton, because Louis Vaton
- 33:04Speaker 1: has managed to find a leading spot for African American
- 33:10Speaker 1: who understands the sensibilities and ain't. Ain't none of this
- 33:13Speaker 1: dude's fashions coming out like that. But everybody else ain't.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Nobody else, got nobody in their department. That's why Pendleton
- 33:22Speaker 1: at all of them, Bendleton, whatever the thing is, little
- 33:24Speaker 1: monkey sweater. Oh that man, When you don't hi, no
- 33:29Speaker 1: black people, these are decisions you make. And then when
- 33:32Speaker 1: black people get mad, you don't understand that, don't they't mad? Again?
- 33:35Speaker 1: You're damn right. You don't even know the other little
- 33:38Speaker 1: stuff that we got to deal with, the little snide
- 33:40Speaker 1: remarks at work, the little stuff on the elevator. Oh yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 1: I whooped it. Okay, okay, hold that we gotta go
- 33:49Speaker 1: to news with missing ladies and gentlemen. Ain't crazy. I
- 33:55Speaker 1: got it. This is a trip with the news, and
- 33:56Speaker 1: I hear you everybody out there. Congressional leaders say they
- 34:00Speaker 1: of a reach a deal in principle on border security. However,
- 34:03Speaker 1: the tenative agreement only calls for one point three billion
- 34:05Speaker 1: dollars and not the five point seven billion that Trump wants,
- 34:08Speaker 1: and Democrats always said they're only going to approve about
- 34:10Speaker 1: one point three anyway. The money would be used to
- 34:13Speaker 1: erect fifty five miles of metal slats and not a
- 34:15Speaker 1: solid wall. We'll see what the President thinks about it. Yesterday,
- 34:18Speaker 1: he flew to El Paso, Texas for a campaign rally,
- 34:21Speaker 1: where he urged his supporters to keep the faith about
- 34:23Speaker 1: his promise board of wall, and before he left Washington,
- 34:26Speaker 1: the President expressed his thoughts about security to a sheriff's organization.
- 34:31Speaker 1: The people that kidnap people, the Democrats want them to
- 34:35Speaker 1: come into our society. I don't think so. At the
- 34:38Speaker 1: same time, lawmakers in El Paso pass the resolution yesterday
- 34:42Speaker 1: which states, at El Paso County is quote disillusioned by
- 34:45Speaker 1: President Trump's lies regarding the border in our community unquote.
- 34:48Speaker 1: That's what the resolution says. It points out that while
- 34:51Speaker 1: Trump insisted El Paso's crime rate, for instance, dropped greatly
- 34:54Speaker 1: after a board of wall was built, that the city's
- 34:56Speaker 1: violent crime rate dropped a whopping sixty two percentween nineteen
- 35:00Speaker 1: ninety three and two thousand and seven, but the wall
- 35:03Speaker 1: wasn't built until two thousand and eight. Virginia's governor attorney
- 35:08Speaker 1: general both Democrats, continue to apologize with dressing up in
- 35:10Speaker 1: blackfaced years ago. They refused to resign Governor Ralph Northam
- 35:14Speaker 1: went even further on Sunday, telling CBS News that his
- 35:16Speaker 1: state needs someone like him to get through this crisis. Well,
- 35:19Speaker 1: there are some people who apparently agree. In fact, some
- 35:23Speaker 1: of the governor's supporters held a news conference yesterday, community
- 35:26Speaker 1: activists and religious leaders joined former city councilman Chuck Richardson
- 35:30Speaker 1: to say that while Northm's not perfect, not all that bad,
- 35:33Speaker 1: Ralph Northern is a good man and a decent man.
- 35:36Speaker 1: He has stood with us on issues both popular and controversial.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Often when more calculating politicians would have stood on the sideline,
- 35:47Speaker 1: he came forward. Now Richardson's thought to be referring to
- 35:49Speaker 1: issues like the so called Confederate row in Virginia and
- 35:52Speaker 1: how Northam has actually advocated getting rid of those statues
- 35:57Speaker 1: and now Northam is no longer suggesting that Lieutenant Governor
- 35:59Speaker 1: Drew Justin Fairfax stepped down before thorough prope he says
- 36:03Speaker 1: can be conducted into the charge of sexual abuse charges
- 36:05Speaker 1: against him, and a recent poll shows Virginians now split
- 36:08Speaker 1: over whether their governor should quit. There are still some
- 36:10Speaker 1: black organizations to say he should be out of here
- 36:13Speaker 1: and go on. Also, a study by the Pew Research
- 36:16Speaker 1: Center shows that a third of those asks, mostly white,
- 36:18Speaker 1: middle middle aged white Republicans think the dressing up in
- 36:21Speaker 1: blackface for Halloween is okay, today's Lincoln Birthday. It's also
- 36:24Speaker 1: for the birds now Stey Morning show. You're listening to show? Okay,
- 36:35Speaker 1: sometimes these stories, they're so unbelievable, all right. B et
- 36:40Speaker 1: social media team thought it was a good idea to
- 36:43Speaker 1: make fun of Nicki Minaj on Twitter when Cardie B
- 36:46Speaker 1: won the Grammys. Okay, b ET tweeted, Nicki Minaj is
- 36:50Speaker 1: being dragged by her lace front. Well yeah, that's what
- 36:54Speaker 1: they said. Yeah, so you know, Okay, yeah, they shouldn't
- 36:59Speaker 1: have that's the point. Well, Nicki clapped back. She just
- 37:02Speaker 1: didn't sit by and let this happen. She clapped back
- 37:04Speaker 1: and announced that she and her label Young Money would
- 37:07Speaker 1: not be part of the Beet Experience later this summer, Hello,
- 37:11Speaker 1: which is a concert series she and Cardi B were
- 37:14Speaker 1: booked to a co headline just days before the b
- 37:17Speaker 1: ET Awards. Thank you very much. Beet has apologized and
- 37:22Speaker 1: they have released a statement Beet loves Nicki Minaj and
- 37:26Speaker 1: unfortunately the respect we have for Nicki was violated by
- 37:30Speaker 1: unauthorized by an unauthorized post and should have never been written.
- 37:35Speaker 1: The statement went on to say that BEET is conducting
- 37:38Speaker 1: an internal audit to ensure these types of posts are
- 37:41Speaker 1: not published. Again, we apologize to Nicki and her fans.
- 37:45Speaker 1: This should never have happened. I believe that you know,
- 37:49Speaker 1: probably somebody so this got access to the social media
- 37:53Speaker 1: where they know who it is. Oh definitely, Oh they
- 37:56Speaker 1: know they know who posted because you gotta had a
- 37:58Speaker 1: code to post, and so am so many people got it.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Now that type of stuff like that. You know, here
- 38:05Speaker 1: we go again. But see, let me tell you something
- 38:08Speaker 1: it now can I say this probably shouldn't. But okay,
- 38:14Speaker 1: if a white person had made this statement, we would
- 38:19Speaker 1: be in an uproar and be asking for their job.
- 38:23Speaker 1: There has to be some type of issue. You can't
- 38:27Speaker 1: have irresponsible people controlling your social media that makes statement
- 38:33Speaker 1: on behalf and affects your network. And BT is too
- 38:37Speaker 1: big for this, right and quitting these two women together.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I was saying, we would be in an uproar. What
- 38:47Speaker 1: I'm saying, like right now, that has to be an
- 38:50Speaker 1: uproar about this, because see, black on black crime don't
- 38:55Speaker 1: ever get the same further that white on black crime
- 38:58Speaker 1: get and that's the mistake we make it and as
- 39:03Speaker 1: women too, we have to subdue this. There can be
- 39:05Speaker 1: so many male rappers, so many of them, but to
- 39:08Speaker 1: two of the best and top rappers in the game,
- 39:11Speaker 1: they always got to go at it. They always have
- 39:13Speaker 1: to be fighting. Stop that too. All this hate, it's ridiculous.
- 39:18Speaker 1: It's room for everybody. Yes, yes, it is room, all right,
- 39:23Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four after the hour, respect, Cardi B.
- 39:28Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right. Cardi B walked away
- 39:34Speaker 1: from the sixty first Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night with
- 39:37Speaker 1: a Grammy in the Best Rap Album category for her
- 39:41Speaker 1: album Invasion of Privacy. It might mark yeah, and congratulations
- 39:46Speaker 1: again to her. It marked the first time in Grammy
- 39:48Speaker 1: history that a solo female artist won in that particular category.
- 39:53Speaker 1: And instead of celebrating Carti's win, so many people are
- 39:57Speaker 1: hating on her now and she's just sick of it.
- 39:59Speaker 1: She's out enough, Kurtie says. While she was pregnant, she
- 40:03Speaker 1: worked very hard to finish her album. She also posted
- 40:06Speaker 1: a now deleted video on social media to let people
- 40:09Speaker 1: know that she has had it. Take a listen. It's
- 40:13Speaker 1: not my style for people to put other people down
- 40:16Speaker 1: to uplift somebody else. That's not my style and that's
- 40:19Speaker 1: not what I'm with and I don't support that. However,
- 40:21Speaker 1: I've been taking a lot of to day. I'm seeing
- 40:24Speaker 1: today and I saw a lot of last night, and
- 40:26Speaker 1: I'm sick of this. I worked hard for my album.
- 40:30Speaker 1: I remember last year when I didn't want for Boardack Yellow,
- 40:32Speaker 1: I was like Carty god snubbed. Carty was the god snub.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Now this year is a problem. My album went two
- 40:38Speaker 1: time platinum and every charge that it was. My album
- 40:42Speaker 1: was always top ten, number one album as well. Work
- 40:46Speaker 1: my ass off, loved myself in the studio for three months,
- 40:49Speaker 1: didn't want to sleep in my own bad sometimes for
- 40:52Speaker 1: four days straight, pregnant. Some songs couldn't even get on
- 40:56Speaker 1: the album because my nose was so stumpy for my pregnancy,
- 41:00Speaker 1: couldn't sleep, couldn't do well. Everybody was harassing me, like
- 41:05Speaker 1: you're not gonna do it. We know you pregnant, Your
- 41:07Speaker 1: career is over that mind when I'm working love badroom
- 41:16Speaker 1: giving it. Yeah, she was grinding, she was grinding, Yeah, yeah,
- 41:23Speaker 1: I can't do me one hell, she didn't inspie me.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Tell a whole lot of people. How to hell out feel?
- 41:29Speaker 1: We just live right now in such a hateful, racist world.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Everybody's hating everybody's hat and we're hateful towards each other
- 41:37Speaker 1: each other. It's just all out hate. Yeah, you know
- 41:42Speaker 1: when it's racism, is racism. But it's just overall hate. Man,
- 41:46Speaker 1: it's just too much. It's just we are such a
- 41:49Speaker 1: hateful society. We can't be happy for anybody. Oh we
- 41:55Speaker 1: cheer for you on your way up. Yeah, now we're
- 41:58Speaker 1: mad when you get up there, and we do everything
- 42:01Speaker 1: in our power to cheer you when you fall in.
- 42:04Speaker 1: And then it's a sad state that we're in. Man.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Everybody experiences a level of hate. That's right. They were
- 42:11Speaker 1: hating on her husband, Steve, because he was standing on
- 42:14Speaker 1: stage with her. Did you see how genuinely uh appreciative
- 42:19Speaker 1: she wasn't nervous she was she was so I mean,
- 42:23Speaker 1: she could barely. She was shaking. She needed her husband
- 42:26Speaker 1: there for support. They hate her. It's the people like
- 42:29Speaker 1: her that doesn't make any sense. Love her. And if
- 42:32Speaker 1: he if if she did not want him on that
- 42:34Speaker 1: stage with her, she would not have Yeah, she would
- 42:37Speaker 1: not have brought him up there with her. So I mean,
- 42:40Speaker 1: it's just they find every angle, every area just to hate.
- 42:44Speaker 1: It's like, I'm already trying to work on her marriage,
- 42:47Speaker 1: her husband. Yeah, they're having problems, they have a baby.
- 42:50Speaker 1: They're trying to like every marriage, family, every marriage, everyone
- 42:55Speaker 1: to something. Yes, some type of glitch and she's something.
- 43:00Speaker 1: She's twenty five years old. Man, But y'all sitting up here,
- 43:03Speaker 1: y'all be acting like man, y'all life just rosy like.
- 43:07Speaker 1: But here another thing, man, Like you ain't never done
- 43:10Speaker 1: nothing wrong. That's the other part to be killing me. Man,
- 43:13Speaker 1: we just be we just be walking through life like
- 43:15Speaker 1: we just I mean, man like we just skip through
- 43:19Speaker 1: this thing seeing free. Yeah, we ain't ever done nothing.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Come on, man, that's a sad state. Man. We got
- 43:26Speaker 1: to stop with this hate. We have to. It's horrible.
- 43:30Speaker 1: I mean it really really does. I find this do
- 43:33Speaker 1: it to each other? Yeah, I wish everyone else and
- 43:37Speaker 1: I wish people would like money, and I wish we
- 43:39Speaker 1: could hold you up to the light to keep you
- 43:41Speaker 1: real or fake crazy? Yeah, man, real man, it's just yeah,
- 43:51Speaker 1: it's just a sting. And that's something like the internet
- 43:55Speaker 1: has that video to music though that's a hit. Yeah
- 44:00Speaker 1: to us Only the man who does murder the hits
- 44:06Speaker 1: would think of that. You know, I hit when you
- 44:11Speaker 1: hear one? Right? Jay? All right? Coming up at the
- 44:13Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after, it's
- 44:15Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today's subject, get the funk out
- 44:20Speaker 1: my face? Uh huh. Up next it is a nephew

- 45:32Speaker 1: my girl? Well? Let me ask you this here. What's

- 46:10Speaker 1: the job. I already know, and a couple other people
- 46:12Speaker 1: know what's going on. And I know you got a girl.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I know you got a girl at home. I know that.
- 46:18Speaker 1: What so so what what? What? What the what? What
- 46:21Speaker 1: is this about? Like? Why why do you call my
- 46:23Speaker 1: pholt trying to harass me about the book, like who
- 46:26Speaker 1: are you? Like, what? What? What is your problem? Like, hey, man, hey,
- 46:31Speaker 1: hey came now, man, I ain't I ain't trying to

- 53:38Speaker 1: your letter live on the air, just like we're gonna
- 53:41Speaker 1: read this one right now. Well, buckle up and hold
- 53:44Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you here. It is
- 53:46Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, all right. Subject, Get the funk out my face.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been dating a guy for close
- 53:55Speaker 1: to three years, and I need some advice on a
- 53:58Speaker 1: major issue I'm having with him. I love this man
- 54:02Speaker 1: and he is a great guy. He loves me too,
- 54:05Speaker 1: and we have been talking about marriage. But here's my issue.
- 54:09Speaker 1: I cannot stand going to his house because it is
- 54:13Speaker 1: always a mess. When we spend quality time together. We're
- 54:17Speaker 1: always at my house and I have to encourage him
- 54:20Speaker 1: to pick up after himself and not eat all over
- 54:23Speaker 1: my house. He and his teenage son live like slobs,
- 54:27Speaker 1: and I have told him that I don't feel comfortable
- 54:30Speaker 1: at his house. There are clothes and shoes all over
- 54:33Speaker 1: the place, old food containers in the kitchen and living room,
- 54:37Speaker 1: empty bottles and mail throne everywhere, and I won't even
- 54:42Speaker 1: mention the bathrooms. Okay, as you can imagine, there is
- 54:46Speaker 1: also a very bad stuffy odor in the house too.
- 54:50Speaker 1: When we first met, I asked him if he needed
- 54:52Speaker 1: me to help him hire a cleaning service to come
- 54:55Speaker 1: in and help out. He said he was ashamed and
- 54:58Speaker 1: he would do it himself. But over time nothing's change
- 55:03Speaker 1: and it's gotten worse, not better. Now the worst part
- 55:06Speaker 1: is that he's starting to smell like his house. Don't
- 55:10Speaker 1: get me wrong, He's never had an issue with hygiene,
- 55:13Speaker 1: but his clothes have started looking dirty and smelling funky,
- 55:17Speaker 1: just like his house. I've been making up excuses to
- 55:21Speaker 1: avoid intimacy with him because I'm totally turned off by
- 55:25Speaker 1: the smell. Intimacy is a big part of any great relationship.
- 55:29Speaker 1: So how can I get How can I get this
- 55:31Speaker 1: man to see that his filth and funk are pushing
- 55:33Speaker 1: me away? Please help? This is a bad situation. This
- 55:39Speaker 1: is a funky, nasty situation to be in. Like, yeah,
- 55:43Speaker 1: low down deal right hygiene, I mean this is a
- 55:46Speaker 1: big deal breaker, and any relationship if this is a
- 55:50Speaker 1: big deal breaker getting past this. I mean going to
- 55:53Speaker 1: someone's house that's messy. Maybe have you know a few
- 55:57Speaker 1: clothes thrown around or something like that, messy and nasty
- 56:01Speaker 1: or two different things. Okay, you can pick up some
- 56:03Speaker 1: clothes and hang those up, and you know your house
- 56:06Speaker 1: is still clean. And everything, but being nasty with food
- 56:10Speaker 1: containers in the bathrooms being a mess, and it having
- 56:13Speaker 1: an odor, and then you having an odor because you
- 56:16Speaker 1: live there. That is a mess. And you make him
- 56:21Speaker 1: sound like he's just a couple of you know, a
- 56:24Speaker 1: couple of boxes or something away from being a hoarder.
- 56:27Speaker 1: That's kind of what you make it sound like. And
- 56:29Speaker 1: if you watch that show Hoarders, they say that hoarding
- 56:31Speaker 1: is mental. It's a mental condition. I say, you, on
- 56:36Speaker 1: your own, do what you suggested to him, get him
- 56:41Speaker 1: some help to clean up his house. That's one thing.
- 56:44Speaker 1: I mean, this is a mess and you don't want
- 56:46Speaker 1: to be a part of it. And I understand that
- 56:48Speaker 1: you guys are talking marriage. If he's like this now,
- 56:51Speaker 1: you guys aren't married, you go to his house. Can
- 56:54Speaker 1: you only imagine if you marry this guy and he
- 56:57Speaker 1: starts doing this in your house, you guys will be
- 56:59Speaker 1: divorced very quickly. I'm sure. So he needs help, his
- 57:02Speaker 1: son is it needs some help because he's a slob,
- 57:05Speaker 1: like you say, He needs someone to come in on
- 57:10Speaker 1: a consistent basis and keep this house clean, and he
- 57:13Speaker 1: needs you need to make sure that he's doing the
- 57:16Speaker 1: same with himself with his personal hygiene. All right, if
- 57:20Speaker 1: that doesn't help the situation, you're gonna have to say
- 57:22Speaker 1: a thing and say something, and you're probably gonna have
- 57:25Speaker 1: to leave because this is this is a deal breaker. Hygiene, nastiness,
- 57:29Speaker 1: This is a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned, Steve,
- 57:34Speaker 1: this letter is real, simplest cutting drive. I probably not
- 57:38Speaker 1: gonna have to take two breaks to do this. Okay, Okay,
- 57:42Speaker 1: keep it funky. Now here's a deal. Shirley mentioned hoarding
- 57:49Speaker 1: and how it's mental. This is not a mental problem.
- 57:57Speaker 1: This is a physical problem. Stink is not mental. Stink
- 58:06Speaker 1: is physical. Stink produces physical reactions. WHOA Lord, that ain't mental,
- 58:18Speaker 1: that's physical. You got the ro whoa you gotta do it?
- 58:22Speaker 1: WHOA lord? Damn man? Hell, what's happening in him? That's
- 58:35Speaker 1: not mental? This is a physical problem you have it.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Smell is physical. You have to inhale, your nostrils, got
- 58:48Speaker 1: to start burning. That's physical, eye water, it's physical things
- 58:55Speaker 1: that happen when you run into a smell, shortness of brown.
- 59:00Speaker 1: That's physical. So we're not gonna sit up and act
- 59:04Speaker 1: like him and his nasty as the sun. It's got
- 59:07Speaker 1: mental problems. It's physical. Now he's starting to smell like
- 59:13Speaker 1: his house. I had a part in the smell just
- 59:17Speaker 1: like his house. You know what his house smell like
- 59:22Speaker 1: on the radio? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, because it didn't stink.
- 59:25Speaker 1: It was just strange. His house smell like and he
- 59:29Speaker 1: smelled like hot dog water. You know, hot dog water
- 59:34Speaker 1: don't stink, but it's just strange. And that's how he
- 59:40Speaker 1: smelled like hot dog water. I'm going And then you
- 59:45Speaker 1: know his house smell like. Hey, when we went over that,
- 59:47Speaker 1: we was always man, y'all hot dogs and they never
- 59:51Speaker 1: was and the never we walk in man, man, man,
- 59:58Speaker 1: we've been the hot dogs. I'm now we haven't no
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: hot dog. What was that? I smell the weed cooking? Well,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: somebody has some hot dogs in hire, just being his house. Arguy. Now, lady,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: you got to get involved here. I'm not saying this

- 1:07:58Speaker 1: came back. Smell like help the dragon from Game a Throne.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Breath this life? All right? Come on, Steve, oh oh,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: we're going to break Okay, all right, you can email
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: us your Instagram us, your thoughts on today Strawberry Letter, guys,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: and Steve Harvey f M coming up in about ten minutes.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Jennifer Lopez defend her Motown performance The clapback right after
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: this from the block. You're listening to the Steven Show.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: All right, no question. We all love Jennifer Lopez, love
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: her very talented young lady, love her beautiful all of that.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: That's not the issue here. People are um, they're still
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: talking about why Jennifer Lopez was chosen in the first
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: place to do the Motown tribute tribute at the Grammys
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: instead of an African American sere, especially during this very
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: special month what is it Black History Months? Hello? H Well,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Jennifer Lopez defended her Grammy performance, and she told Entertainment
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: tonight music inspires us all. Take a listen. The thing
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: about music is that inspires all. Any type of music
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: can inspire any type of artist. And when you you
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: know you can't. You can't tell people what to love.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: You can't tell people what to what they can and
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: can't do what they should sing or not sing. You
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: you gotta do with in your heart. And I think
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Ken and the producers and Berry Gordy, who was so
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: thrilled that I was doing this. They they know how
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: much I've been influenced by that music, and so it
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: was a natural for them. But maybe some people didn't know.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: That's okay, But uh, I'm just very humbled an honor
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: to be able to have sung those songs. I mean,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I grew I grew up with those songs. I'm on
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: a high right now. I'm sorry, I'm just black babbling. Huh,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: all right, all right, No, I'm really not. You know,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I'm not a man, but it's no animents black. But
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: they asked her though I didn't exactly not her, Yeah, yeah, exactly,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: yeah exactly. The only part I got mad about when
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: they saying Papa was a rolling though. That that right there,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: yeah right there around Seriously, that was the only thing
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: that irritated me. Yeah, And you know, I almost thought
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: they couldn't do some Michael Jackson's stuff and that would
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: have took me out too, But I did not. Papa
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: was rolling stone. I don't even think people know, well, respectfully,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: she didn't do Supremes or Diana Ross because Diana Ross
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: was there. Repectfully, she couldn't. Boy, let me tell you something.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: That dog on down the Ross. Oh my god, Anna Ross.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: She showed them kids in that room what a real
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: star is that woman seventy five years old look like
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: that and commanded. But you know what I loved about
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: that room. They gave it to her. The respect that
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: they had for Diana Ross in that room was was
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: over the top. I give the Grammy people. They're better audience.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: They're much better audience than the Oscars. The Oscar audience sucks.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: If you watch the Oscars, man, they don't give each
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: other no love. It's like the NFL honors, they don't.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: They don't give each other love because the athletes and
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: like I told them, y'all ain't used to clapping for
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: no damn body. Y'all used to be in clapped fault.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Ever since she was in peewee football. That's my baby,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: little Ray Ray King random and you just so, y'all
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: don't know how to clap for nobody. The Grammys, they
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: give it up for each other, even if it's not
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: their genre of music. There as art as musical artists.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: They appreciate good artistry. And I will give it to
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: the Grammy audience for that, all right. Well. Smokey Robinson,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: who also performed in that Motown tribute, he came to
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: j Lo's defense prior to the performance. He told Variety
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: at Clive Davis's pre Grammy celebration that he didn't think
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: that anyone who is intelligent is upset. I think anyone
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: who is upset is stupid. That's what Smokey said. Yeah,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: he says stupid. Okay, love Bath, that's what I must say.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: I love Smokey. I mean he is a legend, legend,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: a legend. Yeah, love him still. Jennifer Lopez isn't letting
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the criticism get to her, and that's good. She dedicated
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: her performance to her mom, Loupey, who she said turned
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: her on to the Motown music. Her mom loved Motown music,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: and that's how they found out about it because of
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: her mom. And that wasn't that Barry Gordy's whole thing.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: He wanted Motown music to be for everyone. You know,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: the music of the sound of Young America. I got
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: news for you. If you go to Motown concerts, it's
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: mostly whites. Oh now you mean, I'm telling you right now.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: If you go back and you see the Temptations, it's
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: it's the large number of whites in that audience. People
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: don't know. Man. But like when you go back to
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: the fifties and sixties sounds, the Platters and all like that,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: all the whole audience be white, white artists. They didn't
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: have white artists on that label, did they. Yeah, Um,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: the Young Rascals was a Motown Jay was dead. I
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: had a lot of white artists on that label. Man.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: And but see we didn't. Let let me give you
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: a little bit of black history in Cleveland, come on February.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: He was the thing, man. Black music was not allowed
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: to be played on white stations. That's still the case.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: That's still the case. We black. Curtis Shaw, w A
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: b Q was the first black person to play Elton
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: John's Benny and the Jets on the radio. The first
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: black person to play Benny and the Jets on the
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: radio on a black station. That was in seventy seventy three,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: seventy four somewhere like that. That boy right there, man
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: seventy three, seventy four, seventy five, right in there. That's
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: the first time because black people, we just played our
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: music so we couldn't get on the whales. We turned
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: stars in the stars. We made you on black radio.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Black radio has always been powerful. So you know that's
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: it's I could I could say something else, but let's
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: go lead into a whole other thing called this Black
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: History Month, but we still dealing with Well, Steve, you
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: can use this, you know, as a teachable moment here.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: I mean, people, we need to learn more about our history,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: especially if you're in the music business, whatever business. Learn more.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Looking up, we caught a lot of hell getting where
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: we are. Understand that, Yeah, yeah, all right, we gotta go.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Brad Pitt
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: went to Jennifer Aniston's, his ex wife's birthday party. Oh
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: can you be friends with your ex? A lot of
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: people say are saying they're getting back together, but can
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: you be friends with your ex? No, that that's why
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: the X Okay Hamperdshire could still be friends. All right,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: well we'll talk about it right after this. You're listening
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: to show. Well, Brad Pitt quietly snuck pass paparazzi as
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: he joined the stars at his ex wife Jennifer Anniston's
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: fiftieth birthday party and Los Angeles this past weekend. It
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: was on Saturday night, so I started a lot of
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: people talking. You know, maybe they'll get back together. But
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: the other question is, you know, are you okay with
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: the fact that they're friends? Can you be friends with
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: your ex? And what does it take to be friends
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: with you? I don't give a damn what they do. No,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I'm asking for you guys personally, though. Can we be fair?
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Don't try to flip. I don't I know they're they're
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: they're handling it, they're managing it. Excuse me, you want
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: to go last, you want to think about it before
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: you say something. Christ way too many times. I've been
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: the court way too many times. O hell that my
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: answer can't even be said on the ass. All right, Junior,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: we're not gonna be free, okay, Junior? Can you be
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: friends with an ax? I would like to have been.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: They just don't want me. Do you keep leaving me?
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I still be there. You're the sweetest guy ever. Yeah,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: but I still be there. Quit acting like no one
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: wants you're You're so sweet, you're Come on now, I
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: know what anybody want him? Come on, Junior, tell the
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: truth now, don't know? Ju Junior, don't you let them
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: make you cute? What? Stop? Stop? Don't I know I
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: ain't make you ugly? Don't let him? Can you say?
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: My daddy? You all look just like, Yeah, I love
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: your nice looking man, not a cord lying to your
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: bank account? Get the cute? Do you get? Thank you?
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: But wait a minute, even even besides that, Junior, why
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: do you go to the gym every day? Then? If what?
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Why do you go to the gym? I got sick,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: the sal shirt, I got to be in shapeful something.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: But yeah, but you yeah, but you got the fight
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: say for no boddom. This is this is for me.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Try to slim it down. You got your gun. The

- 1:18:26Speaker 1: All right, jay, let me let me ask you give
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: me friends with your eggs. All the stuff I've lost

- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I'm cools. Yeah, we're cool. You know. I ain't gonna

- 1:21:19Speaker 1: you're still involved. That's not really the Yeah, yeah, doing
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: it involved is not the same thing. Carlin, You're well,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: what else is left after that thought? Are we doing it?
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: We ain't talking after you do it? That's what's next.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: The only friends you have are friends with benefits. What's
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the purpose of a friend. Wow, Wow, you want to
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: do over? Yeah? Sure, you want me to do it? No? No, no,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: I mean just your thought. Get your nephew, Steve. He's saying,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: listen to me, listen to me. It's times when he
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: not my nephew would be one of those times. I'm oh,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: I know when to disown. It's times where disowning him
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: is just the best way to have it, you know.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I look, when he says something so damn stupid, Why
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: do I have to stop him? I'll do nothing but
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: be stopping him all damn day. Okay, but you say
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: some of some of it, you gotta go. I say
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: stuff that makes sense, it's just you don't want to
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: digest it. Well, the thing that's really got me is
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: that out of all of you guys, Jay is the
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: only one that can remain friends with his axe, the
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: bitter man of that is crazy. And it's only one Shirley.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: And I know exactly who I could say her name
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: right now? Could I? Ja? Jacob? Okay? That that is
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: if I say the wrong name? You not? No, You're not? Wow,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: how many? There's a lot we don't need to talk
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: about it. Okay, lot of Junior? What well you went
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: all the way back there, all right, coming up more
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. Yeah,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Virginia Governor Ralph Nordam's apology tour
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: got off to a very rocky start, and he put
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: his foot in his mouth once again. The governor is
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: trying to hang on for his dear political life after
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: an old yearbook emerged showing him in a picture, uh
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: of a man in black face and another in a
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: ku Klux Klan robe. But on CBS this morning, he
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: had a slip of the tongue that some may believe
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: show his true beliefs. Governor Ralph Northam um called slaves
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: indentured servants, and Gail King corrects him, take a listen, please,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: And you know, if you look at Virginia's history, we're
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: now at the four hundred year anniversary just ninety miles
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: from here, uh, in sixteen nineteen, the first indentured servants
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: from Africa laying it on our shores in Whold Point
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Comfort what we call now Fort Monroe. And while also
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: known as slavery, yes, yeah, but they weren't called slaves
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: when they first came over. Man and the point now,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: we don't know what to say. What everybody in there
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: in that state, the officials, they're in some kind of trouble.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: And Gail King said, he that's slaves, indentured servants. Yeah,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: there was no chance of giving gil freedom right. Yeah,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: but you know it's it's alarming though. To me, it's
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: almost like, you know, they want to just act like
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: it never happened. What makes it so difficult for blacks
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: African Americans is we can't forget it happened because there
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: are so many reminders us And the greatest reminder has
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: been make America great again? For us? When was it great?
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Because we've been steady trying to get better since we
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: got here. I don't know none of us that want
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: to go back. So when I see African Americans wearing
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: a make America Great Again hat im, I'll just be
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: looking at them and I'll be wanting to go walla man,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: make America great again? When when was it great for us?
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: When was it better than it is today? For us today?
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: It sickens me and how we have to wake up
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: just deal with the fact that we are black today
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: in twenty nineteen. I don't have the luxury of just
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: waking up and going about my day. I have to
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: somehow filter in and factor in the fact that we
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: are black today. It's disheartening almost man, every damn day
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: I have to factor in that we black today. Again,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: as we try to move forward, we see another brother
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: get shot by another police for no damn reason at
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: all except he black. Excuse me, man, so you hung
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: this brother, You choke this brother out be simply because
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: you shot the brother in his back, simply because he
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: was black today. And we know that's what it is,
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: because it don't happen to nobody but black people. They
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: don't choke whites out for selling cigarettes. Don't a white
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: person run from the police to get shot eight times
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: in the back. Oh, they get to chasing, calling for
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: backup everything, you know. Gail King told him right, it's slavery.
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: You can't excuse the pump a whitewash it. Yeah, so
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: you want to whitewash it with a little cute slave
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: saying like like indentured servants, no, no, no, no dog slavery, whipped, sold,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: separated from their children, their spouses, strip were treated inhumanely.
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: Come on, this sounds this sounds very close to a
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: closing remark, We'll be back with more of a Steve
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening, all right?
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: What is going on this Black History Month? Uh? Here
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: we go again. It seems like time and time again,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: the fashion industry does not recognize black faith fashion as
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: being offensive. What is the problem and what are we
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: gonna have to do to get that through to them?
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Katy Perry has a shoe line. Katy Perry, the singer,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: has a shoe line that is um It's distributed by
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Dillardton Walmart, and one of Katie's shoe designs look just
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: like black face. It looks just like that. The white
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: folks is doing the most in black history. Mon man.
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: What did Nick Cannon say on his ig on the Gram?
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: He said, Happy black Face History Months? Because that's what's happening.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: That's what's happening here, you know. Um. Yeah, Katy Perry
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: is catching a lot of heat for these shoes. She
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: has two. She has one that looks like white face
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: and then one that's kind of pink, and then the
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: black shoes look like black face. It's craziness going on
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, I saw him. Yeah they look crazy. Yeah,
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Katie said, she did not. Of course, you did not
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: intend for the design to offend anyone. And Dillardton Walmart,
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: they've pulled the shoes from the website. Well thank you
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: for that. But yeah, you know, come on, I mean,
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: you know, to be honest with you, I've been around
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: sixty two years, that's a while, you know. I get
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: exhausted from having to wake up constantly a just a
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: deal with an address the fact that I happen to
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: be black. You know, I don't know if people can
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: understand what that's like, a matter of fact, I know
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: you can't, because it's it's such an add on to
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: your day. You know, like life ain't already challenging as
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: it is, loss of loved ones, you know, jobs, separation, love, stress,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: trying to make it, trying to build your dreams. On
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: top of all of that, you then have to wake
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: up and contend with this, on top of all of it,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: like like life is not enough as it is, and
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: then we got to add this additional thing on top
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: of all of that. And then on top of that,
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: here we go with the fashion industry is tripping, the
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: White House is tripping people who think they have a
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: voice coming from the top now are tripping harder and
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: more outwardly and openly. And so now we're just sitting
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: up in here going wow, man, for real, y'all for real.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: And then every time you call them on it, every
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: single time, there's this apology like I just didn't know. Well,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: damn man, you know what, maybe if you would put
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: some black people somewhere around you that was in Because
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: because I'm gonna give your prime example, all these people
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: been hit with this, all these fashion houses, but you
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: ain't heard nothing from Louis Vaton, because Louis Vaton has
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: managed to find a leading spot for African American who
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: understands the sensibilities. And ain't none of this dude's fashions
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: coming out like that. That's why Pendleton at all of them, Bendleton,
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: whatever the thing is, little monkey sweater? Oh that man,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: When you don't how no black people, these are decisions
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: you make. And then when black people get mad, you
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: don't understand that't ain't mad again. You're damn right. You
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: don't even know the other little stuff that we got
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: to deal with, the little snide remarks at work, the
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: little stuff on the elevator. Oh yeah, all right, when
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: we come back last break of the day and Steve's
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: closing remarks, you don't want to miss him. We'll be
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: back at forty nine after you're listening show. Here we are,
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good Tuesday, guys. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: it's been a good day. And to take us home,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: get your day started right as the one and ever least.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey with his closing remarks, you have been on
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: fire lately, my brother, Well my remarks today, I've usually
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: decided and hopefully I can stay on track, even though
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: sometimes I get so aggravated with things that's going on
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: in our world today, with what's happening with our clothing designers,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: with the symbolisms that they're putting out quite naturally, what's
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: coming from the White House, all the things that's happening
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: with politicians across the country, and you know, just things
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: we have to deal with. I still got to keep
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: us moving in the right direction. That's my task, that's
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: my calling for this year, to share with you all
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: the things. So what I've decided to do today was
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: I have a list. If you want to know the
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: difference between average people and wealthy people, I have a
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: list of the difference between average people and wealthy people.
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: I'm doing this just as inspiration if you are guilty
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: of any of these things on the average side, and
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: many of you will be. This is not slamming you,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: but I want you to understand why we are all
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: in the positions we are in, and it's because of
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: things we do. And so I'm gonna go down this
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: list I have of what wealthy people do and what
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: average people do and the comparison between the two. And
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: once again, this is not slamming or dog in anybody,
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: but I just want you to see you can make
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: a conscious decision to change anything about you. Now. You
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: can't change the color of your skin and you know,
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: but you can change the way you think. You can
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: change the way you live. You have a say so
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: in where you live. You can decide what you're going
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: to be, and you can decide how good at whatever
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: it is you choose to be you're gonna you can
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: decide how good you're gonna be at it. It's a
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: decision that you all have because God gave us a
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: power choice. So here we go. Wealthy people read daily, read,
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: they read something daily. They're always trying to do something improving.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: Average people watch TV daily, daily, watch TV. And I'm
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: not talking about the news, or I'm not talking about
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: the Stock Market Show, or I'm not talking about Joel
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Oldstein or Bishop Jakes. I'm talking about the real foolishness
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: of television. Wealthy people set goals. Average people never set goals.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: Wealthy people compliment, average people criticize. That is a difference, y'all.
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: And I'm telling you just go over this with people
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: around you. Take inventory of yourself. You may find yourself
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: in here. And I'm gonna tell you something when I
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: get through with this. Wealthy people embrace change. Average people
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: fear change. Wealthy people for gilt. Average people hold grudges.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Wealthy people listen to this talk about ideas all the time.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: Wealthy people are constantly talking about ideas, planning, talking about
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: their goals, going over their visions and dreams. They always
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: coming up with an idea. You know what average people
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: talk about. Average people talk about people. They just talk
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: about people. Wealthy people continuously learn. People think they know
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: it all. Oh man, I ain't talking about nobody. I'm
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: just trying to share with you what out and learned.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: Wealthy people take responsibility for their failures. Average people blame
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: others for their failures. The question for you is where
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: do you see yourself on this list? And what can
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: you change to get on the list, to fix your
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: mind to become as wealth as you like to be.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: And when I talk about wealth, I'm not talking about
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: just money now. I'm talking about rich in spirit, rich
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: in family, rich in hopes, rich in dreams, just an
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: overall rich person. I'm not talking about money. I'm talking
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: about richness of spirit, things you really want. So if
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: wealthy people read every day and you watch TV every day,
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: if you keep that up, you'll be average. While wealthy
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: people out there setting goals and you never set goals,
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: you're gonna remain average. If wealthy people are constantly finding
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: a way to compliment and you always trying to find
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: a way to criticize, you're gonna ever stay behind the
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: eight ball. If wealthy people embrace change and you are
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: afraid of change, like I can't do that because the
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: n I change, it's no good. Wealthy people forgive. Average
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: people hold grudges. Wealthy people talk about ideas, Average people
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: talk about people. Wealthy people continuously learn. Average people think
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: they know it all. Wealthy people take responsibility for their failures,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: while average people blame others. Pick those two lists that
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: I gave you, see where you fit in and if
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: you can't change something about you that's average, so that
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: your life can be wealthy, rich in spirit, rich in happiness,
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: rich in joy, rich in money, rich and love, kindness.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: That's all. Those are my closes. I love that, those
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: are my remarks. I say I love that because that
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: runs them in the morning, because rich doesn't always mean financially.
