  of 1 Thessalonians 5 .3. It says, While people

  are saying, peace and safety, destruction will
• 0:11
  come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant
• 0:14
  woman, and they will not escape. Jesus, of course,
• 0:18
  is talking about the second coming, the ultimate
• 0:20
  justice, and also the ultimate delivery of grace.

  When it's all said and done, this will be one
• 0:28
  of the greatest upheavals. the kind of thing
• 0:30
  that we all might want to avoid. But here they
• 0:33
  are crying peace and safety, and it makes the
• 0:36
  gospel look harsh to think that Jesus will come
• 0:38
  again and the judgment will ensue and people
• 0:41
  who were crying peace and safety will not get
• 0:44
  what they were asking for. At the same time,
• 0:47
  think about a pregnant woman. Well, pregnant
• 0:50
  women, as they come to the end of their pregnancy,
• 0:52
  they know they could experience labor pains at
• 0:55
  any time. And so the truth is, while they're
• 0:58
  crying peace and safety, somewhere within them
• 1:00
  they know that things can't go on the way they
• 1:03
  are forever. There will be a change. Whatever
• 1:06
  you're going through today, as difficult as it
• 1:08
  may be, be encouraged. God loves you, and he's
• 1:12
  taking you to a place in a way that will bless
• 1:16
  you beyond what you can understand, beyond what
• 1:19
  I can understand. And we can experience a great
• 1:21
  peace on earth just knowing that's true. but
• 1:24
  there will be those who are crying out peace
• 1:26
  and safety. Even those who are crying out, Lord,
• 1:28
  Lord, Jesus says, who will not enter into the
• 1:31
  kingdom of heaven, but rather those who love
• 1:34
  God through his Son, Jesus Christ, and do the
• 1:36
  will of their Father the best they know how through
• 1:39
  his Son, Jesus Christ. Let that be us. God bless
• 1:42
