Rep. Greg Casar joins David to debate his new Home Team Act! What is the bill? Why now? Will it work?
Rep. Greg Casar (D-Texas) and Sen. Bernie Sanders have introduced the 'Home Team Act' to prevent owners from moving teams without giving locals a chance to buy the team. This bill, if passed, would require sports franchises to give a year notice before moving teams to new communities. It would also give those communities a chance to buy the franchise at a fair price. Rep. Casar joined David to discuss this new bill and why he is so passionate about this cause. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
