- 2:09Speaker 5: got a radio show. How good is God?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Huh? Think about it?
- 2:13Speaker 5: Just take a slight inventory of your own life and
- 2:16Speaker 5: say it to yourself when you get through, how good
- 2:18Speaker 5: is God? Think of all the small things all because
- 2:21Speaker 5: that's him. You breathing, that's him. You still here, that's him.
- 2:27Speaker 5: You got another chance?
- 2:29Speaker 2: That's him.
- 2:30Speaker 5: You ain't out of here. That's him. You got any
- 2:33Speaker 5: measure of health, that's him. You think it's more to
- 2:36Speaker 5: it than it really is than it already showed up
- 2:39Speaker 5: to be.
- 2:39Speaker 2: That's him. All of that.
- 2:41Speaker 6: You got, any dreams or aspirations you dream of other things.
- 2:45Speaker 2: That's him.
- 2:46Speaker 5: All that, that's him, that's him. Him, clothes you got,
- 2:49Speaker 5: that's him. Every time you eat. That's why they had
- 2:52Speaker 5: this thing called you say you're grace. That's him. See
- 2:55Speaker 5: that's him, man, that's him. It's amazing. When you take
- 2:58Speaker 5: a small inventory, you find out how big God really
- 3:01Speaker 5: is in your life. Now, the more you turn yourself
- 3:04Speaker 5: over to him, the bigger he can be for you. See,
- 3:07Speaker 5: he'll only be as big as you let him. It's
- 3:09Speaker 5: one thing about God. Now, he's a gentleman. He can
- 3:13Speaker 5: make you do anything. You know, you get too big
- 3:17Speaker 5: for him, you know, you you lose your humbleness. He
- 3:21Speaker 5: can humble you.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:23Speaker 5: God created man with the power of choice. We're the
- 3:29Speaker 5: only creature he created that. He gave us the total
- 3:32Speaker 5: power of choice when we mate, who we mate with.
- 3:35Speaker 5: You know everything, all of it. Man, it's a choice.
- 3:40Speaker 5: What we want to be, how much we want to make,
- 3:42Speaker 5: where we want to live, with climate we want to
- 3:44Speaker 5: live in. We can live in cold climates, hot climates.
- 3:47Speaker 5: You know, we speak different languages. You can go learn
- 3:49Speaker 5: another language. A bear can't do nothing but be a
- 3:54Speaker 5: bear is he can't go learn how to be a fox.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Ain't gonna learn how to be an otter.
- 4:02Speaker 2: He just can't.
- 4:03Speaker 5: An ostrich is an ostrich Man. He can't come out
- 4:06Speaker 5: here and fight like a lion. A lion is a lion.
- 4:09Speaker 5: A lion eat meat. He can't eat vegetables. I don't
- 4:12Speaker 5: care how much meat ain't around. He'll lay down and
- 4:15Speaker 5: pull up out of here and die because he can't
- 4:17Speaker 5: eat grass.
- 4:19Speaker 2: He just a lion. Man.
- 4:21Speaker 6: You understand this that.
- 4:22Speaker 5: God gave us. We are the one creature he created
- 4:26Speaker 5: that has total power of choice. You can make every
- 4:29Speaker 5: decision in your life. What kind of watch you like?
- 4:32Speaker 5: That's the one you can buy. You want to live
- 4:35Speaker 5: in Switzerland, go ahead. You don't like Switzerland, you can
- 4:39Speaker 5: move to Miami. You want to live your life.
- 4:43Speaker 1: For crime, go ahead.
- 4:45Speaker 6: That's you.
- 4:46Speaker 2: He gave you the power choice you want to do? Right?
- 4:48Speaker 6: Come on, So now look at this thing.
- 4:53Speaker 1: We are all.
- 4:55Speaker 6: The results of a series of decisions that we have made.
- 5:02Speaker 5: If we could just identify that the problem is us,
- 5:07Speaker 5: we could begin the solution.
- 5:10Speaker 6: See that's the problem, y'all, it's us. It's what we do.
- 5:15Speaker 6: I threw my life down the hill.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I can't tell you how many years based on some
- 5:20Speaker 5: decisions that I was making. Now I can justify my
- 5:23Speaker 5: decision where I wasn't happy and I was doing this,
- 5:26Speaker 5: and I was in miserying y'all on that he ain't.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Yes to you.
- 5:29Speaker 5: When you get through, you made the decisions though, And
- 5:33Speaker 5: you can look at this anyway you want to, y'all.
- 5:34Speaker 5: But at the end of the day, I'm just talking
- 5:36Speaker 5: to people that's really really wanting to improve their position
- 5:40Speaker 5: in life.
- 5:41Speaker 2: And how do you do that? You got to have
- 5:43Speaker 2: a solution. How do you come up with a solution?
- 5:47Speaker 6: You got to identify the problem to even begin to
- 5:52Speaker 6: solve it.
- 5:54Speaker 2: But if the.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Problem ain't ever you, how you gonna solve something that
- 5:59Speaker 1: ain't you?
- 6:01Speaker 2: See?
- 6:03Speaker 5: Okay, let me look at this one. If somebody say,
- 6:08Speaker 5: like I got a child of mine, man, I just
- 6:10Speaker 5: do right here. Man, I don't even gonna get into
- 6:12Speaker 5: it this morning, bore. I'm struggling with this this boy.
- 6:15Speaker 5: But man, you go to people, you ask them why
- 6:18Speaker 5: they do so I just did. I just wasn't taking
- 6:21Speaker 5: care of business? Why I just didn't take care of business? Boy,
- 6:27Speaker 5: do you understand that your life is gonna be filled
- 6:30Speaker 5: with you got to take care of business? So when
- 6:32Speaker 5: you're gonna start, you know what I mean, you can't
- 6:35Speaker 5: You can't.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You can't go through life. Blame it everybody. It's got
- 6:40Speaker 1: to be you.
- 6:41Speaker 2: See, you can fix you.
- 6:42Speaker 5: You can't fix nobody else if you keep getting married
- 6:45Speaker 5: and the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello?
- 6:49Speaker 1: Could it be you?
- 6:52Speaker 6: South Foundly had to sit down and just make that decision.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Ain don't need to be coming on the radio talking
- 6:56Speaker 5: about nobody else and what they did to me, and
- 6:59Speaker 5: y'all just don't know. No, no, no, man, what about
- 7:02Speaker 5: the part you played in it? Cause see, if you
- 7:04Speaker 5: got a good marriage, you got a part to play
- 7:06Speaker 5: in that. If you got a bad one, you got
- 7:08Speaker 5: a part to play in that. Even if it just
- 7:12Speaker 5: get down to you the one picked them, how about that, mister, mister,
- 7:16Speaker 5: I made a decision. The problem is usually within yourself.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Do you know that's the quickest and easy way to
- 7:23Speaker 5: fix your life. That way, you ain't got to check
- 7:26Speaker 5: with nobody. Here's the beauty of going on and admitting
- 7:29Speaker 5: that it's you. You don't have to check or clear
- 7:32Speaker 5: it with nobody to start the repair process. You don't
- 7:36Speaker 5: need anybody's permission. You ain't got to put it before
- 7:39Speaker 5: the review board to see if it will pass. It
- 7:42Speaker 5: ain't got to go through Congress. You ain't got to
- 7:44Speaker 5: hope that your local politician get their hands on it
- 7:47Speaker 5: and make a phone call for you. You ain't got
- 7:49Speaker 5: to ask any counselors to come in and sit with you.
- 7:52Speaker 5: You don't have to check into rehair. All you got
- 7:54Speaker 5: to do is decide the problem is me. I'm gonna
- 7:58Speaker 5: start changing me. Identify the problem, and start with the
- 8:06Speaker 5: part that you can own up to. Once you identify
- 8:13Speaker 5: the problem, you can start planning on how to fix
- 8:15Speaker 5: this or how to get to accomplishing something. But remember
- 8:19Speaker 5: this planning is important. If you fail to plan, then
- 8:24Speaker 5: please plan to fail. If you don't know how to
- 8:28Speaker 5: make a plan, let's just start with the basics. Just
- 8:32Speaker 5: make a list of what you want. Make this list
- 8:36Speaker 5: and then go to God in prayer with an open
- 8:40Speaker 5: mind and open your mind up to all the clean
- 8:46Speaker 5: opportunities that are available here. Why a lot of people
- 8:50Speaker 5: won't succeed because certain opportunities come along you don't want
- 8:53Speaker 5: to do them.
- 8:54Speaker 1: That kills me.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Man, when I hear here, I ain't doing that. I
- 8:58Speaker 5: know young comedians that come to me all in time.
- 9:00Speaker 5: I'm talking about man with you, and I say, man,
- 9:02Speaker 5: just take every gig you can, no matter.
- 9:04Speaker 2: What it pays.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Well, listen to me, son, you can go make that
- 9:09Speaker 5: money that they pay, or you can make the decision
- 9:12Speaker 5: to sit at home and make no money. It's a comedy,
- 9:17Speaker 5: hard business. They ain't paying but one hundred dollars. You
- 9:19Speaker 5: gotta drive fifty miles. But if you drive fifty miles
- 9:23Speaker 5: and you make the hundred and you stand on that
- 9:25Speaker 5: stage for thirty minutes, you are now thirty minutes better
- 9:28Speaker 5: than you was the last time you went on stage. Oh, man,
- 9:33Speaker 5: they ain't man, they don't pay me. I ain't coming.
- 9:36Speaker 5: You ain't finna be a comedian, man, not not like
- 9:39Speaker 5: this here. A lot of people just don't want to
- 9:42Speaker 5: do what's necessary to do. So when the opportunity presents
- 9:45Speaker 5: itself and you open up your mind to it, man,
- 9:48Speaker 5: then get ready to go on and do it. Man,
- 9:51Speaker 5: identify your problem today, start with the part that'sh you.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, let's get to it. Today is the
- 10:08Speaker 5: day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and
- 10:10Speaker 5: be glad in it. I'm gonna tell you why, because
- 10:13Speaker 5: this only one you got. You have no control over
- 10:15Speaker 5: any other days. Yesterday gone futures is not promised. Today
- 10:20Speaker 5: is the day, right now, get in it and get
- 10:24Speaker 5: your tood right. Get the two together, man, triple tease
- 10:29Speaker 5: up in here. Start with gratitude you have to, which
- 10:34Speaker 5: will immediately affect your attitude, which has a direct correlation
- 10:38Speaker 5: on your altitude.
- 10:40Speaker 2: It's them toudes, baby, you get them together. You can
- 10:43Speaker 2: be somebody, man, that's my plan. I wnna be somebody.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I'm gonna mess around somehow, some way with a little
- 10:52Speaker 5: more grace and some mercy and a whole lot of forgiveness,
- 10:55Speaker 5: and I'm gonna.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Mess around to be somebody.
- 10:57Speaker 5: I don't know what y'all doing, I'm telling you, but
- 11:00Speaker 5: I'm inviting you to get on this dude.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Trade gratitude, attitude, altitude. That's Steve Harll Moore shure. That's
- 11:08Speaker 2: how we're doing it right now.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Shirley Strawberry calling for real junior smile for the South,
- 11:13Speaker 5: Miss Monica.
- 11:14Speaker 6: Legend of Nephew Tommy Junior, Your.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Sir, what here we go?
- 11:21Speaker 7: Let me ask youself, man, because it's like the comes
- 11:24Speaker 7: with my nephew man, and he just he wanted. Now
- 11:26Speaker 7: it's such a microwave society today. I want the money. Now,
- 11:30Speaker 7: I want this lifestyle now, I want everything now, And
- 11:33Speaker 7: they don't understand. They're gonna have to trust this is
- 11:35Speaker 7: a process, a process of phase. Everything that I did
- 11:39Speaker 7: to get to my point, I had to fail to
- 11:41Speaker 7: get here.
- 11:41Speaker 2: He just wanted me to do it for him. That's good,
- 11:46Speaker 2: you know.
- 11:47Speaker 5: No, I didn't have nobody I could even want to
- 11:51Speaker 5: do it for me. So if you blessed or to
- 11:55Speaker 5: even have somebody, he thinks he got the audacity to
- 11:59Speaker 5: saund like for you to do it for me. It
- 12:02Speaker 5: is not the way it goes. It's a it's a
- 12:04Speaker 5: long lesson to learn, and the longer it takes you
- 12:07Speaker 5: to learn it, the longer it's gonna take for you
- 12:10Speaker 5: to get it. It is imperative man, that people understand
- 12:15Speaker 5: what this is. But know this, as long as it
- 12:18Speaker 5: takes to get successful, must I remind you all there
- 12:22Speaker 5: is joy in the journey. You have got to stop
- 12:27Speaker 5: along the way, man, and appreciate where you are. You
- 12:30Speaker 5: may not be where you want to be, but take
- 12:33Speaker 5: inventory and oftentimes you can realize you may not be
- 12:37Speaker 5: where you want to be, but thank god, I ain't
- 12:39Speaker 5: where I was. See in steps and sometimes people don't
- 12:46Speaker 5: even get joy in the steps.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Man, I ain't where I want to be yet.
- 12:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I got you, brother, But must I remind.
- 12:54Speaker 5: You that two years ago the position you were sitting in,
- 12:59Speaker 5: five years, eight years ago.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Hell, last summer.
- 13:04Speaker 2: That started the new year.
- 13:05Speaker 5: See, some people ain't got to look far back, you understand,
- 13:11Speaker 5: and there's joy in the journey.
- 13:13Speaker 6: But you got to take inventory. Everybody want it now.
- 13:19Speaker 5: You know you need to try to take advantage of
- 13:22Speaker 5: your success because they want it now. I'm gonna say
- 13:25Speaker 5: that again. People try to take advantage of your success.
- 13:29Speaker 5: All of you out there have measured success. Somebody done
- 13:32Speaker 5: tried to capitalize on that. This is Steve Harvey Mortar
- 13:35Speaker 5: show man.

- 14:45Speaker 3: Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach sister Takara. This is
- 14:51Speaker 3: brother Brinkler from the church. How you doing?
- 14:54Speaker 1: Oh hey, how is it's?
- 14:57Speaker 9: I'm at work?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Can I call you back? Well, this is this is
- 15:02Speaker 3: kind of urgent. I call your your house phone and
- 15:05Speaker 3: I didn't get an answer, and I had this other
- 15:07Speaker 3: number on file, so I wanted to reach out to you.
- 15:09Speaker 3: But what I won't take long, but it really is
- 15:11Speaker 3: a hurt, all right, from that urgent matter, if you
- 15:14Speaker 3: don't mind, all right.
- 15:15Speaker 9: Hold on, hold on, let me let me step away from.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Hello.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Hello, yeah, okay, so what's uh the Brinkley spey.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Okay, we have a bit of a problem here and
- 15:30Speaker 3: we're gonna try to We're trying to clean up a
- 15:32Speaker 3: lot of things here at the church. You know, I
- 15:34Speaker 3: hate to be the one to bring you some bad news.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Let me just start by by saying this. God might
- 15:41Speaker 3: not be through with you, but we are here at
- 15:45Speaker 3: the church. It has been brought the eye attention sister
- 15:48Speaker 3: car that you guys are halfway coming to church. And
- 15:52Speaker 3: you you you might come once once out of a month.
- 15:54Speaker 3: You're not tithing as we expected. You know, the church
- 15:59Speaker 3: can't really depend on you. It's you you got you know,
- 16:02Speaker 3: you bring your kids. I think your brother comes to
- 16:04Speaker 3: the church, but everybody is coming every now we need.
- 16:08Speaker 3: We cannot depend on you all to be the members
- 16:12Speaker 3: and have the expectation of what we're trying to do.
- 16:14Speaker 9: What you say, you say your name is.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yes, and you work, you work under the DJ.
- 16:24Speaker 9: I'm sorry, I've never.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Heard of you before. I have been officiated by the pastor.
- 16:30Speaker 3: As I'm over actually over the finance and we're going
- 16:33Speaker 3: through all of the books and looking at all of
- 16:35Speaker 3: the numbers of the of the members of the church,
- 16:38Speaker 3: the directory, and we're noticing what people are paying tied,
- 16:41Speaker 3: what people aren't paying tied, who's coming to church, who's
- 16:44Speaker 3: participating in different and different uh uh ministries and whatnot.
- 16:48Speaker 3: And Sister Takar, I got I have to be honest
- 16:51Speaker 3: with you. You you you the hell maybe once every
- 16:54Speaker 3: want of someone, we might see you might not see you,
- 16:57Speaker 3: you know, and like I say, God may not be
- 17:00Speaker 3: through witch you, but we all.
- 17:01Speaker 9: Well, okay, you can't saying that. Thatsten why I don't understand, like,
- 17:08Speaker 9: are y'all monitoring my my my church going? Like can
- 17:12Speaker 9: I can't. I can't have to go every single week?
- 17:15Speaker 3: I mean, why are you absent so much at the church?
- 17:19Speaker 3: Explain that?
- 17:21Speaker 9: I mean, I have three kids, you know, I mean
- 17:24Speaker 9: I have two jobs. Sometimes I don't. I mean I
- 17:27Speaker 9: still pray. I don't understand how a.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Church can are you you got two jobs, but we're
- 17:34Speaker 3: not getting tied, like you got two jobs, You're not tied,
- 17:38Speaker 3: and like you got.
- 17:38Speaker 9: Two jobs because I can't afford.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You just said I got two jobs. That's what you
- 17:43Speaker 3: just said, and that those two jobs.
- 17:45Speaker 9: Are in support my kids. I mean, I can't support
- 17:48Speaker 9: the church and my kids is the same term I
- 17:51Speaker 9: can't do vote. I mean, I get when I can, let.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Me ask you something, what are you making on that
- 17:57Speaker 3: other job?
- 17:58Speaker 9: Are you? Are you really?
- 18:01Speaker 3: You? Really? You?
- 18:02Speaker 9: Really?
- 18:03Speaker 1: I didn't know what the church?
- 18:05Speaker 3: God? Is this deep?
- 18:07Speaker 9: What you're really asking me? How much I make? And
- 18:10Speaker 9: my second jot did I take to support my kids?
- 18:14Speaker 9: Come on, now, that's gotta be something.
- 18:16Speaker 3: This is I'm gonna say this to you again. God
- 18:19Speaker 3: may not be through with you, but we are. If
- 18:24Speaker 3: you are gonna pay your tides, if you're not gonna
- 18:27Speaker 3: come to work on a consistent basis, then what what
- 18:31Speaker 3: do you benefit? The church?
- 18:33Speaker 9: Is that what the church is about?
- 18:35Speaker 3: This? I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna say this to you.
- 18:38Speaker 3: You let me tell you what the church is all about.
- 18:41Speaker 10: The church is and you say we done with you
- 18:44Speaker 10: again one more time?
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm serious.
- 18:47Speaker 3: No, I'm gonna tell you this you're talking about? Is
- 18:49Speaker 3: that what the church is about? Let me tell you
- 18:50Speaker 3: what the church is. The church is a hospital for

- 39:09Speaker 2: Strolling? I don't want controlling? Yeah, but gee, I'm a
- 39:13Speaker 2: rebelled on that I'm controlling. But I don't want to
- 39:16Speaker 2: hear your opinion all day.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I really know that is not opinionated, like a like.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Like a dorg. That's that they don't even make that
- 39:26Speaker 2: type of woman. That's an impossible. Yeah, that's an impossible statement.
- 39:32Speaker 1: That was a movie. That was a movie that mayorica.
- 39:38Speaker 8: All right, would you rather be voted class clown or
- 39:41Speaker 8: would you rather be voted most.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Likely to succeed?
- 39:45Speaker 2: That was voth for them? I know good and hell,
- 39:49Speaker 2: well I wasn't going to beat p.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Oh you didn't think so dreams back then?
- 39:55Speaker 2: Who the hell was going to vote for me? It's
- 39:58Speaker 2: most likely to succeed. I was voted most difficult. That
- 40:04Speaker 2: that was so accurate.
- 40:05Speaker 8: Yes, why do you have to carry that onto your
- 40:08Speaker 8: adult life? Leave that where it belongs?
- 40:13Speaker 2: The vote? That is how I am?
- 40:17Speaker 1: They voted you that?
- 40:18Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, well I really like being how I am.
- 40:21Speaker 5: I don't really see the problem. I really, I swear
- 40:24Speaker 5: to you. I do not see the problem.
- 40:26Speaker 3: You see it?
- 40:27Speaker 1: No, I tell you about it every day. What is
- 40:30Speaker 1: the problem?
- 40:30Speaker 5: But but see, look at the source of who's telling
- 40:33Speaker 5: me this. Y'all telling me this because I don't want
- 40:36Speaker 5: to do what y'all want me to do.
- 40:38Speaker 2: I'm true.
- 40:39Speaker 1: No that's not true. No, that's it all that. It's
- 40:43Speaker 1: what is to be done, it's we want you to do.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Y'all. Don't tell me what I need to do who
- 40:50Speaker 2: is not it?
- 40:51Speaker 1: Sometimes we need impratication from you.
- 40:55Speaker 8: Give us that.
- 40:59Speaker 2: A lot friendship business.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Say you've been difficult right now. That's your angile.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Round is because y'all look at my scheduling and y'all
- 41:14Speaker 2: try to fill it with what y'all want to do.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Now we don't. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:25Speaker 4: Time.
- 41:25Speaker 8: Now to check Steve's voicemail. If you want to leave
- 41:27Speaker 8: Steve a message, call him eight seven seven twenty nine Steve.
- 41:31Speaker 1: All right, So Steve. Recently we talked.
- 41:33Speaker 8: About the new dating term on the dating apps called
- 41:37Speaker 8: ethical non monogamy. You guys remember that from the other day.
- 41:41Speaker 8: It's a practice of having a closer sexual relationship where
- 41:44Speaker 8: both parties consent to the infidelity. In other words, I'll
- 41:47Speaker 8: tell you that I'm married and you agree to sleep
- 41:49Speaker 8: with me anyway, Swinging, open relationships, all that polyamory all
- 41:54Speaker 8: fall under the umbrella of ethical non monogamy.
- 41:57Speaker 1: So we have a caller that left a message about
- 42:00Speaker 1: our discussion on the subject. Take a listen.
- 42:03Speaker 10: So y'all are talking about ethical monogamy and call them
- 42:08Speaker 10: it cheating.
- 42:09Speaker 4: And I'm gonna let y'all know right now, you're very
- 42:11Speaker 4: much knowing your ag just.
- 42:13Speaker 10: In terms of if it don't apply, if you don't
- 42:17Speaker 10: want to do it, then don't.
- 42:19Speaker 4: But calling something cheating and changing the terms, because again,
- 42:23Speaker 4: what is Monogymy monogomy is saying with partnership, that's a monomenogamy.
- 42:29Speaker 4: You're saying that you don't want Now is it something
- 42:31Speaker 4: that I want to do so I get jealous?
- 42:34Speaker 1: I don't feel like sharing.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Is it something that I almostly here in clowns because
- 42:38Speaker 4: I don't want to do it? No, I understand that
- 42:40Speaker 4: it's just not for me. Y'all are very much showing
- 42:43Speaker 4: your age and insisting that something is cheating when you
- 42:47Speaker 4: are open with your partner and discussing the fact that
- 42:51Speaker 4: neither of you want to just be with one person
- 42:54Speaker 4: is not cheating. Not the first time I've talked something
- 42:58Speaker 4: that I don't understand, probably not gonna be the last time. Again,
- 43:02Speaker 4: being absolutely ethically nominogamous, need you're quite literally let your
- 43:06Speaker 4: partner know that we're not the only people together. You
- 43:09Speaker 4: both know that you both have that agreement.
- 43:11Speaker 3: And it works for them.
- 43:13Speaker 4: If it works for them and it doesn't work for you,
- 43:15Speaker 4: leave it alone. Simple that don't go call on something
- 43:19Speaker 4: cheating cheating.
- 43:19Speaker 3: This is not cheating.
- 43:21Speaker 10: Cheating is lying.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Cheating involves line. If it does not involve lighting, lying,
- 43:25Speaker 1: it's not cheating.
- 43:27Speaker 5: I appreciate you calling in and telling us we're showing
- 43:29Speaker 5: our age because well we have the age to show, yo,
- 43:33Speaker 5: just showing yours because you don't listen. The lady that
- 43:37Speaker 5: wrote the letter and called in did not say they
- 43:40Speaker 5: partner knew about it. They said that's what they were practicing.
- 43:46Speaker 5: There are sights on where married people are on the
- 43:50Speaker 5: putting it out there for the other person to partake
- 43:52Speaker 5: in them and letting them know that they're married and
- 43:55Speaker 5: their partner knows nothing about it. That's what the phone
- 43:59Speaker 5: call was about. So when you call here talking about
- 44:02Speaker 5: somebody showing they age, make sure you ain't showing yours too.
- 44:07Speaker 5: So learn to listen, because that's what it takes when
- 44:11Speaker 5: you come after me, y'all showing y'all age.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Now, look, if y'all swingers, we know what swingers is.
- 44:18Speaker 2: We was doing when this was around for your young
- 44:21Speaker 2: was born.
- 44:22Speaker 5: Have you got another company, y'all going out to the
- 44:24Speaker 5: club now and you want to swing?
- 44:26Speaker 4: We know what that is.
- 44:27Speaker 2: That ain't what the call was talking about, but you
- 44:31Speaker 2: didn't listen to that.
- 44:33Speaker 5: You heard the part you wanted, and now you want
- 44:35Speaker 5: to call it and be critical because we old. Old
- 44:38Speaker 5: is the goal, and maybe one day you'll have to
- 44:41Speaker 5: get older and have some this too. Sitting up in
- 44:45Speaker 5: here and I'll be listening to this stuff. And I'm sorry, ladies,
- 44:48Speaker 5: but you're on the back end of my work week
- 44:50Speaker 5: because I work with young people. That family few say
- 44:54Speaker 5: stupid sugar hundred ice teeth all to day long. And
- 44:58Speaker 5: I got to sit there because HR just riding the
- 45:01Speaker 5: corner and I gotta act like I'm okay with that
- 45:04Speaker 5: what I ain't.
- 45:07Speaker 6: And you done walked up.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Into the hornet's nest while the hornet was sitting outside
- 45:12Speaker 2: reading the paper, busting you.
- 45:18Speaker 5: All right, I can tie the young people because we old,
- 45:22Speaker 5: we scaping and we don't know how to look at stuff.
- 45:24Speaker 5: Y'all keep y'all can come up with all these new
- 45:27Speaker 5: titles you won't do. It's called cheat.
- 45:31Speaker 6: The hell it is man.
- 45:34Speaker 8: Yeah, it's an agreement between the people who are going
- 45:38Speaker 8: to be cheating with it or seeing each other. They
- 45:41Speaker 8: didn't say anything about them their telling their partners or
- 45:44Speaker 8: anything like that.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Surely that's even what the call was about. She ain't
- 45:49Speaker 2: hit that though.
- 45:50Speaker 5: She all want to light us up because her dumb
- 45:52Speaker 5: said some relationship and some man that told her he's.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Saying somebody else. No, her dumb trying to be okay
- 45:58Speaker 2: with over what called.
- 46:02Speaker 1: He's just uninformed?
- 46:11Speaker 8: Coming up next, the nephew with the prank phone call
- 46:14Speaker 8: for today. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 46:17Speaker 8: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at about four minutes after
- 46:25Speaker 8: the hour. It's my strawberry letter for today, and the
- 46:28Speaker 8: subject is why is he in my brother's house?
- 46:31Speaker 1: We'll find out in just a little bit.
- 46:33Speaker 8: We'll get into it, but right now it is time
- 46:36Speaker 8: for the nephew and the prank phone call for today.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Next.

- 46:45Speaker 2: Right? Rank here? Is I left my medicine in your house?
- 46:52Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying. Oh kind of goes together.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna you know, we don't want to have
- 46:57Speaker 1: a title fight.
- 46:58Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. We have a title right,
- 47:00Speaker 2: I left my medicine in your house? All right? That
- 47:06Speaker 2: is a cat dog if you would We're going to
- 47:10Speaker 2: strategically dive into this one. If you're driving right now,
- 47:13Speaker 2: I think you should pull over because this one right here,
- 47:15Speaker 2: this home running head, this classic nephew, tell me I
- 47:18Speaker 2: left my medicine in your house.

- 56:45Speaker 1: Thank you nephew.
- 56:46Speaker 8: Subject, why is he in my brother's house? Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:51Speaker 8: I'm writing for my brother because he is too upset
- 56:54Speaker 8: to do it for himself. My brother is thirty eight
- 56:57Speaker 8: and his wife is thirty five, and she has planned
- 57:00Speaker 8: a trip for Labor Day with two girlfriends and a
- 57:03Speaker 8: guy that has been her friend since they were eighteen
- 57:06Speaker 8: years old. This guy was married before and he has
- 57:09Speaker 8: one child. Now he's no longer dating women. He told
- 57:13Speaker 8: my brother that he is a great new man in
- 57:16Speaker 8: his life, but he keeps him away from his friends
- 57:18Speaker 8: because it is not serious yet. My brother told this
- 57:22Speaker 8: guy it's imperative that he meet the boyfriend.
- 57:25Speaker 1: And here's why.
- 57:26Speaker 8: My sister in law is always with this guy, and
- 57:30Speaker 8: my brother thinks she's cheating on him right in his face. Now,
- 57:34Speaker 8: the guy is going on vacation with his wife, so
- 57:37Speaker 8: my brother got really skeptical.
- 57:40Speaker 1: But that's not the biggest issue.
- 57:41Speaker 8: We need to know how far another man is allowed
- 57:45Speaker 8: up in another man's house. Last week, my brother came
- 57:48Speaker 8: home and this man was sitting in a shirt and
- 57:51Speaker 8: shorts on the patio. His wife was sleeping on the couch.
- 57:55Speaker 8: The guy said they had gone running in the neighborhood
- 57:57Speaker 8: and he jumped in the shower while she took a nap.
- 58:01Speaker 8: The biggest issue is that he took a shower in
- 58:03Speaker 8: my brother's bathroom. My brother uses the upstairs bathroom so
- 58:08Speaker 8: his wife can have the primary bathroom all to herself.
- 58:11Speaker 8: There is a shower downstairs in the other guest room,
- 58:15Speaker 8: but this guy went upstairs and used my brother's shower.
- 58:19Speaker 8: My brother feels that this guy is way too comfortable
- 58:22Speaker 8: in his house and it's his wife's fault for letting
- 58:25Speaker 8: him do it. I agree with my brother and his
- 58:28Speaker 8: wife needs to be checked and this guy should not
- 58:31Speaker 8: go on vacation with her. What if his boyfriend doesn't
- 58:34Speaker 8: even exist. I am trying to stay out of it,
- 58:37Speaker 8: so I need your advice on how my brother should
- 58:40Speaker 8: handle this situation.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Okay, sis.
- 58:45Speaker 8: It just sounds like someone might get hurt in this situation.
- 58:49Speaker 8: I don't know, I just feel that in my spirit somehow.
- 58:52Speaker 3: Huh.
- 58:53Speaker 2: I have a question, Yeah, did a lady write this
- 58:56Speaker 2: letter or a guy?
- 58:57Speaker 8: A sister wrote the letter for her brother because her
- 59:00Speaker 8: brother's too upset to write it. And I was just
- 59:02Speaker 8: going to get to that, Steve. It's confusing. This letter
- 59:05Speaker 8: is really confusing. But from what I gather, the wife
- 59:10Speaker 8: you guys suspect is cheating on her husband your brother
- 59:16Speaker 8: with the guy who she said is gay to throw
- 59:19Speaker 8: everyone off. That's kind of what she's trying to say here.
- 59:22Speaker 8: And not only is your brother mad about the cheating
- 59:25Speaker 8: he thinks that he thinks is going on, he really
- 59:28Speaker 8: is angry that the guy is in his house using
- 59:31Speaker 8: his shower and acting like it's okay because his wife
- 59:34Speaker 8: gave him permission, especially when there are other bathrooms in
- 59:39Speaker 8: the house. You're also asking for yourself and your brother,
- 59:44Speaker 8: how far should another man be allowed in a man's house?
- 59:48Speaker 8: And I'm going to tell you right now you shouldn't
- 59:49Speaker 8: even have to ask that question because at your house
- 59:52Speaker 8: it's simple. You set the rules. It's a respect thing.
- 59:55Speaker 8: I don't care who it is. If you don't want
- 59:58Speaker 8: him in there, he shouldn't be in there, is that
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: I mean? And your wife, his wife, your sister in
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: law should know better. She should never let another man
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: or anyone disrespect the household, especially your husband's things, your
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: husband's bathroom. She's wrong for this. I think it's just
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: a matter of time before the truth about her and
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: her so called gay best friend comes out. So tell
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: her you're you're going on the trip too, and that
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: it'll be nice time for the two of you to
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: reconnect and have some fun. That's what the husband should say.
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: See how she reacts. If she protests just a little
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: too much, that then you'll know that your instincts are
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: right and you can deal with her accordingly. But all
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: signs are pointing to she's cheating with this guy, the
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: so called gay friend of hers. I mean, he has
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: too much leeway in the house, all of that. It's
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: just too much. It's way too much, Steve, And it's
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: very confusing.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I know that you know what is it? Yeah, it is.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: I'm so confused here.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: It is very confused.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: Because let me read this letter with y'all and let
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: me just go as I'm feeling this letter. Okay, we
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: may not ever even get to the end. Why is
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: he in my brother's house? I'm confused with I'm the girl.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: Let me just Stephen Shirley. I'm writing for my brother
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: because he is too upset to do it for himself. Well,
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: as we go through this letter, we gonna find out
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: that your brother is incapable of doing several things for himself,
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: not only write this letter, but he's too upset to
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: do it for himself. Okay, you've been calling this little
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: boy my brother thirty eight, his wife thirty five. She's
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: playing a trip for Labor Day with two girlfriends and
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: a guy that has been her friends since they was
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: eighteen years old. How many times have I got to
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: tell y'all about these male friends that y'all keep thinking
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: and just want to be your friend?
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: How many times we got to go over there?
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: How many letters do we need for y'all to get
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: off this trick trail and quit thinking this merry go
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: round don't come around. I'm so sick of y'all. This
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: guy was married before, he has one child. Now he's
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: no longer dating women. Hello, Now I've heard of this,
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: You've seen it in famous people. A purpose person starts
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: living their truth later on in life. That's allowable, that's doable.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: That's fine.
- 1:02:42Speaker 10: But now.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: I don't know at what point.
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: He decided he no longer dating women because you was
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: making kids a minute ago, so there had to be
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: some type of.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: Oh girl.
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: At coming up in twenty three minutes to have me
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: our k Well, have you spot coming up today's strawberry letter?
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Why is he in my brother's house? We'll be back

- 1:04:07Speaker 8: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: The subject why is he in my brother's house?
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: This letter is beyond ridiculous, y'all. I ain't even touched
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: on any points, so let me try to do it quick.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: Why is he in my brother's house? I'm writing for
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: my brother because he's too upset to do it for himself.
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Your brother too upset to write, He too upset to
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: do a lot of.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Things in this letter. Let's get to it.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: My brother thirty eight is wife thirty five.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: She's playing a trip for Labor Day with two girlfriends
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: and a guy that's been her friends since they were
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: eighteen years old. I'd have told y'all about these opposite
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: six friends. I have told y'all about this, but y'all
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: don't believe me. So this is another Strawberry letter to
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: help you understand. This guy was married before, he has
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: one child. Now he's no longer dating women, but he's
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: still friends, which your wife though he don't date women
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: no more.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: But he didn't cut your wife out.
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: He told my brother that he has a great new
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: man in his life, but he keeps him away from
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: his friends because it is not serious yet.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Man, what First of all, if you are my wife's
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: friend me and you ain't that cool you telling me
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: about a new man you got, but you don't bring
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: him a round your friends yet because it ain't that serious.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: Wait a minute, we ain't all discovered the news yet
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: that you don't date women no more.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: So then you ain't brought him around your friends because
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: you don't know if it's serious yet.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: Have you told your new friend that you don't date
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: women no more? Or maybe you've been running in this
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: circle the whole time. I don't know what's happening right here,
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: but because of hr, I'm not gonna come in. I'm
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: just gonna try to keep moving. Okay, then my brother,
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: your brother told this guy's imperative that he meet the
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: boyfriend and his Why what, man, I don't give a
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: what you doing.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: I ain't gotta meet your boyfriend. But here's why.
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: Though my sister in law is always with this guy
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: that to stop liking women and date me in now
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: and got a child and used to be married. My
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: sister in law is always with this guy, and my
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: brother in law thinks he's cheating on him right in
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: his faith. Hold on, so your brother thinks that his
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: wife is cheating with the guy that don't don't date
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: women no more. That then came up to him and
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: now he wants to meet this guy's new guy, but
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: he'd have told him, and he don't wanted to meet
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: yet because he don't know if it sees that pair
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: missed me with this this ain't or why is that
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: whipping not started yet? Because I'm trying to figure out
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: if I think my wife is cheating with a man
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: and then he come up in my face and strike
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: up any conversation. I want to meet this new guy, Well,
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: it ain't serious yet, so I ain't gonna bring her man.
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: Please pop dead in your jaw, dead in your jaw.
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: Now the guy is going on vacation with his wife.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: So my brother got real skeptical. But that's not the
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: biggest issue. What is more, We need to know how
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: far another man is allowed up in another man's house.
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: Wait a minute, he need to know how you ain't
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: allowed in my house, not how far you ain't. You
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: can't knock on the door, ring the dotveil you can't
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: call my house. I wish I would come home and
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: you in it. Oh, pardon, I can't take you know
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: all right, let's go. Last week, my brother came home
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: and this man was sitting in the show and shorts
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: on the patio.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: His wife was sleep on the couch. Knocked out, privy,
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: that's when she sleep on the couch, knocked out. The
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: guy said they had gone running in the neighborhood and
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: he jumped in the shower while she took a nap.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: What right, I'm a hold of dog.
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: You so cool and comfortable. You and my wife went running,
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: took a shower in my house. In my house, this
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: ain't our house no more. See when it comes to
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: a man, the man, no, it's the other man's house.
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: You I don't care what the wife say. You already
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: know you need to check with this man.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: The biggest issue is that he took a shower in
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: my brother's bathroom. Hold a dog, you're in my room? Oh,
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: my brother uses.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: The upstairs bathroom so his wife can have the primary
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: bathroom all to itself. There's a shower downstairs in the
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: other guest room. But this guy went upstairs and used
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: my brother's shower. He ain't what I'm staying because that's
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: where the bedroom at. Might as well go around the corner.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: Why you think she downstairs knocked out on the count?
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: Right man, I'm in you whooping so much right now
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: you can't count it.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Just getting whooped everybody that got something the.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Lawn board and got something on the way in, the milkman,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: the mailman, car.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Repair dude and got whooping. You don'et got that whoopie for?
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Right man? He don't even have no more.
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: My brother feels that this guy is way too comfortable
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: in his house and his wife's fought for letting him
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: do it. No, dog is your fault because you letting
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: him do it. You let this man come up in
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: your house and sit around and you ain't at the house.
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: Oh man, this ain't on your wife, This on you.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: You being disrespected on so many levels. This is an
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: ignorant letter.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Should I agree with my brother and his wife needs
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: to be checked and this guy should not go on
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: vacation with her. What is his boyfriend doesn't exist. I'm
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: trying to stay out of it, so I need your
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: advice on ho my brothers to handle this situation.
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: Your brother need to start woming somebody.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: All right, Thank you, Steve.

- 1:13:01Speaker 5: the barn where you've been having at. Ain't no hotel,
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: ain't no hotels.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: In the country. The bard is the hotel.

- 1:13:58Speaker 3: A restaurant?
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Thank you, guys, Let's go on and on. Sounds like
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: All right, Steve, Lisa and Laurel Maryland says, I work
- 1:14:12Speaker 8: as a dispatcher and on Fridays we do a potluck lunch,
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: or we'll order pizza or a deli sandwich tray. My
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: coworker always chips in the same amount of money that
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: we all chip in, but she takes way more food
- 1:14:24Speaker 8: than we do. She always fixes her husband a play
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: of pizza or sandwiches to take home with her, and
- 1:14:30Speaker 8: many of us in the office think the leftover should
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: be divided amongst us, or she should chip in more
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: if we're feeding her husband?
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: What do you think needs to happen here?
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: I think y'all need to stop having it.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: Food, you know what.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Listen?
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: Why is bringing food to the office and then you
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: want it back? What you take it down there?
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: For?
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: If I take food down to the office and everybody
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: picking in it, you think I won't take an back
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: to my house, not to me, not after everybody has
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: been in that. See, I don't understand people like that.
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: Listen to me, man, stop participating in the pot. Look,
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: if you don't want to just leave it when you
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: take your dish, just take your dish. That's your donation
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: to the partner. You can't possibly want to take it
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: back home.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: Who do that?
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Well? No, though, that's the point.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: They do well, see, But you ain't got to be
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: one of them.
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: If I'm supposed to bring a pan of rolls, and
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: I bring a pan of rolls and they need all
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: of them, but twelve of the rolls, I don't want
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: them twelve.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: But that's you, Steve. Well, they feel like who she asked?
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: I know, but that's your experience. They still want to
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: take it home. But you're telling I can't.
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: I can't tell you to think in a way that
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: I don't think you know what I'm saying. And I'm
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: sorry you think if they think that's some rich boy
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: attitude and stuff. But I've been that way at all
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: levels of my life. Once I take something down there
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: and everybody pick on it, that's your.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: You can't touch it.
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: No, you can't touch nothing belonged to me, and then
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: expect me to still want it.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:16:08Speaker 5: I was eating with a dude of a lawyer and
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: we were at Toile restaurant and we ordered the duck.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: I was gonna get the duck by myself.
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: Didn nobody want nothing, he said, I eat it with
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: you because they only bring you one whole duck. I
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: was just gonna eat what I want and then leave
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: it alone. This dude had his chopstick. He would take
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: reach on with chopstick with a piece of duck, dip
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: it in the sauce, put it in his mouth. Then
- 1:16:31Speaker 5: with the same chopstick, he'll move a piece of duck
- 1:16:34Speaker 5: out the way and pick another piece of duck. Yo, dude, yo,
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: what you're doing? Yeah see now, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: Yeah. And you can't watch everybody at the office. Somebody
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: then touched it. That's just me.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I was gonna ask a question. Go ahead, you gotta ask, Okay.
- 1:16:55Speaker 11: So if I ordered, like a platter of sandwiches, right, someway, right,
- 1:17:01Speaker 11: and I bring I go get them myself.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: I go get the sandwiches, and I bring them to
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: work for y'all.
- 1:17:06Speaker 11: And then I open the container for the for the sandwiches,
- 1:17:11Speaker 11: and I pull a few of the sandwiches out to
- 1:17:14Speaker 11: the side or to bring home to Tosh or for
- 1:17:18Speaker 11: me to eat later for Tasha.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Something wrong with that.
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: No, I'm just kissing there. It is something wrong with that,
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: because get a sandwich, yeah.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: His own, Yeah, thank you? You know the office, and
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: then Tosh sandwich don't work down here? Down here, don't
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: work down and work the bank.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Example, I just asked the question the baint you see
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: how the cargo.
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: Yeah, now if the bank don't work, Tosh eating down now,
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: what does he finish?
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: Come over here? Eat my last time?
- 1:18:01Speaker 8: I buy y'all some subways, like Steve said, then cancel
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: the potluck.
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: I guess.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: We can't have any more fight.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: I want to justice s mo leg.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: From subway. All right, I try. So you're just saying huh,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Who's Who's the Who's the chief?
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: Skape that our group though on this show, who's the chief?
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Who don't want to spend the money?
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: Ain't going to buy no sandwiches.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I just wanted to pick something to mess with me.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: All Right, we gotta go.

- 1:22:34Speaker 1: That was a movie, Yeah, America, all right?
- 1:22:38Speaker 8: Would you rather be voted class clown or would you
- 1:22:42Speaker 8: rather be voted most likely to succeed?
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: That was both for them? I know good and hell
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: well I wouldn't gonna be b.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Oh you didn't think so? The dreams back then, Who

- 1:22:56Speaker 2: Was going to vote for me? It's most likely to succeed?
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: I was voted most difficult. What that that was so accurate?
- 1:23:06Speaker 8: Yeah, why do you have to carry that on too
- 1:23:08Speaker 8: your adult life? Leave that where it belongs.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: That's what's the voting. This is how I am. They
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: voted you that.
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, well I really like being how I am.
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: I don't really see the problems. I really, I swear
- 1:23:24Speaker 5: to you, I do not see the problem.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: You see it?
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: No, we tell you about it every day. What is
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: the problem?
- 1:23:31Speaker 5: But but see, look at the source of who's telling
- 1:23:33Speaker 5: me this? Y'all telling me this because I don't want
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: to do what y'all want me to do.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: I'm true. No, that's not true.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: No, that's it all that, it's what needs to be done.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: It's none we want you to do.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: Y'all don't tell me what I need to do.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Who is not it? Well, sometimes we need impredication from you.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: Give us that.

- 1:25:59Speaker 5: All right, you know something, these are my closure remarks today.
- 1:26:03Speaker 5: I've discovered a lot over the years, and there are
- 1:26:09Speaker 5: some things you can make it without in this world.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: It really is.
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: I really didn't understand how significant certain relationships were. But
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: I'm old enough now and a lot of you are
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: where you can relate to what I'm about to say.
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: You can live your life. You can lose some really
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: really important things in your life and survive. And all
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: of us know that feeling of losing someone that you
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: cared deeply about, whether you lose them because you all
- 1:26:42Speaker 5: just were separate ways, or you lose them because they passed.
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: But we know the pain of losing someone you love dearly.
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: And I've discovered something in my life. The greatest loss
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: I ever had was my mother. It was an un
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: bearable pain for me. I had never experienced anything like it,
- 1:27:05Speaker 5: and haven't experienced anything like it since then. When I
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: lost my father, that was a pain. My mother's pain
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: was first, though, and it was just excruciating. I didn't
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: know what to do. I've lost my father, and then
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: I lost my oldest brother. That one really hurt me
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: in a different way because he had taught me everything.
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: He taught me how to drive, he taught me how
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: to ride a bike, because he did stuff because he
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: was so much older than me that my father allowed
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: him to do. My father taught me how to drive,
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: but my brother taught me how to you know, pimp drive.
- 1:27:46Speaker 5: But he taught me how to ride a bike. He
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: taught me how to talk to girls, taught me how
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: to save money. So that loss was tragic. And I've
- 1:27:55Speaker 5: lost a lot of things in this way, and I've
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: learned to live life without all of them. But the
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: one thing that you cannot live your life without, and
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: that is a friend. You can lose your mother, you
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: can lose your brother, you can lose your father, you
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: can lose your job, you can lose your wife, you
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: can lose your husband who and these things can be debilitating,
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: and you can live in this world without them. But
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: you cannot live in this world without a friend. You know,
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: the Bible says a friend is often closer than even
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: a brother, because see, your friends you pick and choose.
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: Your family is just your family. Now, I love my brothers,
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: dearly man, flaws and all, I loved them, but losing
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: a friend. I've lost some really dear friends.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: Wan Hull.
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: Was a truly great friend of mine that I lost.
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: Greg Calhoun out of Montgomery was the last, well not
- 1:29:11Speaker 5: the last friend, but a great friend that I lost.
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: He was my best friend. And then I lost my
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: dear friend Flip Bass, who was a founder of our
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: chapter at Kent State. And losing them three men right there,
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: man was really really rough because they were dear to me.
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: But I thank God for the friendships that I do have,
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: because there is something to it, man, to have a friend.
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: I look at all that I have. I look at
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: the awards and the accomplishments and plaques and all this
- 1:29:45Speaker 5: stuff I have. But you know what I value more
- 1:29:48Speaker 5: than all of those awards that I've gotten and everything.
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: I value friendship more than that, because friendships give a return,
- 1:29:57Speaker 5: a constant return. Somebody you can share your thoughts with man,
- 1:30:02Speaker 5: Somebody that you can be yourself with, Somebody that you
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: can sit around and they don't judge you. Somebody that
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: you can be around and they allow you to be
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: just exactly who you are, however and whenever and however
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: you want to present yourself at that time, and you
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: need that man, because if you think about your work relationships,
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: you have to put on to come to work.
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: Oftentimes we do.
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: We got to get up in the morning, no matter
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: how we feel, and we got to put on a
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: happy face because we morn and drive people.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: We've got to get up.
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: And put on that we okay today face because we
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: are responsible for millions and millions of people's attitude on
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: the way to work. We morn and drive people in
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: some days we don't feel like driving all morning, but
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: we got to come up in here. We got to
- 1:30:51Speaker 5: be a certain way you at work, man, you have
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: to put on ass. You got to put on a
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: different mask to go to work. You know, you got
- 1:30:57Speaker 5: to fake the funk in front of them people. You know,
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: when you get in your department, you got to put
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: on that I'm the cheerful employee mask when you don't
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: be feeling them at all. You got to go to
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: lunch with them and sit next to him in the
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: cafeteria and pretend that they are right when you when
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: they really ain't even your type of people. That's why
- 1:31:18Speaker 5: you can't wait to get off so you can just
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: go be yourself again, because at work you can't. So
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: if you have a friend, or several friends, or a
- 1:31:25Speaker 5: few where you can sit around and be your natural self,
- 1:31:30Speaker 5: that's valuable. Man Cherish your friendships because when you lose them,
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: it's not a good day. Somebody once told me that
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: friendship is essential to the soul. I think that's the truth.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: Stout.
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: Anyway, y'all have a great day. Y'all talk to God.
