Twelve-year-old Sam Engler, who’s been showing animals since he was two, is back at the Iowa State Fair in his custom track chair—a game-changing upgrade that lets him move freely in the show ring and around the farm. Built with help from Make-A-Wish Iowa and Heartland DSC, the chair was designed to support his mobility and let him keep thriving in 4-H and FFA. His grandpa helped craft a key part of it, while a family friend handles his animals’ feet during shows.
