- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I shall will good marning. Everybody you're listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now, one and all,
- 2:09Speaker 1: it's Steve Harvey. Got a radio show. Well all right,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I've learned something and in sharing time, and I am
- 2:23Speaker 1: ever appreciated. I do appreciate God for all that he
- 2:28Speaker 1: allows me to learn in my life. One of the
- 2:33Speaker 1: best lessons I've learned is that hardship teaches you some
- 2:40Speaker 1: great lessons. Challenges brings about some of my best results.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I think what I'm trying to say is in every
- 2:51Speaker 1: challenge and hardship, every setback, I've learned something so so valuable.
- 3:00Speaker 1: So here's what I've You know, I've known this, but
- 3:04Speaker 1: I've just learned it at a different angle. Appreciation and
- 3:09Speaker 1: gratitude is the key to having more. Now. I don't
- 3:16Speaker 1: know how that sound to you, but I can't tell
- 3:21Speaker 1: you how true it is. God being fair and just
- 3:26Speaker 1: as he really is. He really is. He's a fair
- 3:29Speaker 1: and a just God. What's most beneficial to us is
- 3:32Speaker 1: he happens to be full of mercy and grace. And
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm telling you something, man, I've probably benefited from his
- 3:46Speaker 1: grace and mercy more than anything else. I mean, really, man,
- 3:52Speaker 1: if it wasn't for him just forgiving me, and then
- 3:58Speaker 1: for him just touching my life the way he has,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not hearing this position today. I'm just not.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But a funny thing has happened along the way, even
- 4:11Speaker 1: to you. If you look at it, is it your
- 4:14Speaker 1: genuine appreciation and gratitude has been the key to you
- 4:20Speaker 1: having more for your continued blessings and for making room
- 4:27Speaker 1: for having to open up and pour out blessings that
- 4:29Speaker 1: you don't have room enough to receive. If you look
- 4:32Speaker 1: at it, see God being a fair and just God,
- 4:35Speaker 1: which he is, why would he put more on you
- 4:41Speaker 1: than you can bad? If you've noticed everything that's happened
- 4:46Speaker 1: in your life, if you're still here, you've made it.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You don't forget how rough it was, got that, but
- 4:53Speaker 1: you made it. Forget what it sent you through, and
- 4:57Speaker 1: it hid made you feel you made it. Now, what
- 5:03Speaker 1: makes people give up and you hear about people committing suicide,
- 5:07Speaker 1: is they leave the God out of their life and
- 5:10Speaker 1: they start allowing that other voice to control. And if
- 5:14Speaker 1: it's really true that God never puts more on you
- 5:16Speaker 1: than you can bear, as long as you stay connected
- 5:19Speaker 1: to God, you can get through anything. But you lose
- 5:23Speaker 1: that connection, you lose that communication, you lose that relationship
- 5:30Speaker 1: with him. If you're not having a relationship with God,
- 5:33Speaker 1: then who you're having a relationship with now? And it
- 5:38Speaker 1: ain't but two forces at work at all time. It's
- 5:42Speaker 1: good and evil, it's positive and negative. It's God, it's Satan. Now,
- 5:51Speaker 1: this is at work all the time. So if you're
- 5:56Speaker 1: not being positive about everything, you leave room for negativity
- 6:00Speaker 1: to step in. If you're not trying to be righteous
- 6:04Speaker 1: in your way, then you allow evil to step in.
- 6:08Speaker 1: If you don't work on your relationship with God, come on, now,
- 6:13Speaker 1: look who you're letting step in. So now I'm asking
- 6:18Speaker 1: you to understand that God never puts more on you
- 6:22Speaker 1: than you can bear. Okay, Now that we got that clear,
- 6:25Speaker 1: that's a fact. Okay. Now with that fact in mind,
- 6:28Speaker 1: let's go over this right here. Why would God, being
- 6:31Speaker 1: as just and merciful as he is, put more on
- 6:35Speaker 1: you than you can bear? Example, if God has given
- 6:40Speaker 1: you blessings and all you're doing is complaining about him,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're never showing any appreciation of gratitude about it. Why
- 6:49Speaker 1: would he give you some most stuff to be ungrateful for?
- 6:52Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff to complain about?
- 6:55Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff that you
- 6:57Speaker 1: would not show any more appreciation for? I mean, this
- 7:01Speaker 1: thing is real simple, man, ain't it if you think
- 7:03Speaker 1: about it? So? A lot of times, man, when I
- 7:06Speaker 1: was going through my positions of not having it and
- 7:09Speaker 1: wondering at all like here, I ended up checking myself
- 7:12Speaker 1: and going, man, I'm not even showing any gratitude or
- 7:15Speaker 1: appreciation for the things He has done for me. Start
- 7:18Speaker 1: showing some appreciation and gratitude because it's the key to
- 7:21Speaker 1: having more. It's the key to continued blessings. It's the
- 7:26Speaker 1: key to the wonders of heaving, opening up and pouring
- 7:28Speaker 1: out a blessing that you won't have room enough to receive.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's the appreciation and gratitude of what you already have,
- 7:37Speaker 1: as minimal as it may appear to be right now
- 7:41Speaker 1: for you, it is still what you have. But if
- 7:45Speaker 1: you've shown no gratual, no gratitude for the minimal, why
- 7:52Speaker 1: would he give you the maximum. I mean, I'm just
- 7:56Speaker 1: really just trying to put it real, real, simple, So
- 8:00Speaker 1: and keep understanding this thing right here. So let me
- 8:03Speaker 1: give you an example. In my life, I had gotten
- 8:06Speaker 1: so busy at one point that I had begun to
- 8:11Speaker 1: complain about how busy I was. This is true because
- 8:16Speaker 1: I am busy, but it ain't the busy part because
- 8:21Speaker 1: I asked to be busy, you know, I asked God
- 8:24Speaker 1: to give me opportunities and to make a way for me. Well,
- 8:28Speaker 1: in that you got to do something, and you got
- 8:30Speaker 1: to get busy. But I began to complain about the
- 8:35Speaker 1: business and how busy I was, and I noticed that
- 8:39Speaker 1: a couple of things slowed up for me. So I
- 8:43Speaker 1: had got to the point where I wasn't showing real
- 8:46Speaker 1: gratitude for it. Well, I looked up and a couple
- 8:49Speaker 1: of things started slowing down, and then I had to
- 8:51Speaker 1: catch myself and I went, wow, man, You have got
- 8:54Speaker 1: to start embracing the fact that you are this busy,
- 8:59Speaker 1: embraced the fact that what all comes along with it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Because to whom much is given, much is required. You
- 9:05Speaker 1: got to start embracing the requirement part if you want
- 9:09Speaker 1: to continue with the giving part. So I changed my attitude.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I caught myself and I started thinking him and showing
- 9:16Speaker 1: real gratitude for how busy I was, instead of complaining
- 9:19Speaker 1: about how busy I was. And then guess what. It
- 9:21Speaker 1: opened up the windows of heaven and some more blessings
- 9:24Speaker 1: got poured out. It just works that way all the time,
- 9:28Speaker 1: for everybody, for me, for you, for everybody. So listen,
- 9:32Speaker 1: y'all again. Your appreciation and gratitude is the key to
- 9:36Speaker 1: having more. Your appreciation and gratitude is the key to
- 9:39Speaker 1: continued blessings. And your appreciation and gratitude it's the only
- 9:44Speaker 1: way that you can get those windows of heaven to
- 9:47Speaker 1: open up and pour out to these blessings that you
- 9:49Speaker 1: won't have room enough to receive. You gotta act like
- 9:52Speaker 1: you're glad for what you got in order to get more.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You feel me, let's go. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: we are here I am back to show us alive
- 10:05Speaker 1: and well, thanking everybody for holding it down. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:09Speaker 1: This is Steve Harvey Morning Show. Positivity, motivation, inspiration, entertainment,
- 10:18Speaker 1: uplifted and just about any other thing that needs to
- 10:22Speaker 1: be done and handled in the morning. That's what we're
- 10:25Speaker 1: about to do. Who're gonna do it? Wa Shirley Strawberry
- 10:30Speaker 1: Carlin for Rell Mississippi Monica Junior better known as Killed
- 10:34Speaker 1: Space or really better known as Junior and the legend
- 10:38Speaker 1: that is Nephew Tommy, ladies and gentleman all this way
- 10:42Speaker 1: or Junior Horse on your minds of all. Welcome back up,
- 10:46Speaker 1: glad to have y'all man traveling. Yes, that's today, Thank y'all. Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 1: but man, ask did I know this is craigny? You
- 10:54Speaker 1: know I gotta aunt who don't do well with technology
- 10:57Speaker 1: and all these problems. It just sound like you about
- 10:59Speaker 1: what age you think we should be through with technology?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Like what age you think y'all should just not have
- 11:04Speaker 1: to deal with him? Well, I don't think it's gonna
- 11:07Speaker 1: happen that way anymore more, because you'll be arcade. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: can tell you that that your trouble with technology begins
- 11:16Speaker 1: at fifty. For me, technology started giving me trouble right
- 11:23Speaker 1: around forty nine fifty. I was fine right up until
- 11:30Speaker 1: smart phone, Burberry. I was good flip phones. I was
- 11:36Speaker 1: Gary Line. That's part of the reason, right, I had
- 11:44Speaker 1: very much confused it too, and could not understand why
- 11:49Speaker 1: is these people are making these shirts and stuff bothering
- 11:52Speaker 1: me with this day I'm just like And that's when
- 11:57Speaker 1: it began for me. Man or the invention of the
- 11:59Speaker 1: smart hard phone was when it started. You know, telephone,
- 12:04Speaker 1: I phone, you know it just iPhone turn into smartphone.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And that's when the problems began. And I don't think
- 12:11Speaker 1: that we're gonna be able to get away from technology
- 12:13Speaker 1: at this point. I made it my mission this year
- 12:17Speaker 1: to become a little bit more tech savvy. I want
- 12:19Speaker 1: to have a couple announcements to make I just learned
- 12:22Speaker 1: last week. Now I've been able. I know how to
- 12:25Speaker 1: afford a text to somebody. I just hold the text
- 12:29Speaker 1: down and then I go down to where it says
- 12:32Speaker 1: more and I hit more and then I hit the
- 12:34Speaker 1: arrow and send it who I want to. But I
- 12:36Speaker 1: just learned last week how to copy and paste. Oh no,
- 12:42Speaker 1: look at you right there. Was a fascinating discovery. Copy
- 12:50Speaker 1: and paste came change. Let me tell what I did.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I took some bank information to put it in my
- 12:58Speaker 1: safe on my phone. You know how you have a
- 13:00Speaker 1: security to keep all your pass codes and everything, and
- 13:04Speaker 1: I can't remember all them pass code. So I took
- 13:08Speaker 1: some very important document, copied and paste it and put
- 13:13Speaker 1: it in my safe and put it in there, and
- 13:17Speaker 1: then my face. I d quit working because it don't
- 13:21Speaker 1: work out the country sometime and I don't know the
- 13:25Speaker 1: code that opened up the damn safely. So now i'd
- 13:31Speaker 1: have locked it in there and I can't open it all.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I got some real problems going on right now. All right,
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:39Speaker 1: gonna start the show off with the nephew and run
- 13:41Speaker 1: that prank back. Right after this, you're listening to morning show.
- 13:47Speaker 1: It is time now to start your morning off with
- 13:49Speaker 1: the nephew and run that prank back. What you got
- 13:51Speaker 1: for us now, quit rule, quit rules, can't dog get
- 13:57Speaker 1: your food? Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach miss Sistertanian.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Sister taniah god sh hi, Sister Tania. This is uh Brian.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm representing the youth and of course you know, we're
- 14:11Speaker 1: already having the fundraiser on Saturday, and I would like
- 14:15Speaker 1: to know are you gonna be um, are you gonna
- 14:18Speaker 1: be available to come out on Saturday? Because we got
- 14:20Speaker 1: pretty much most of the most of the Choire you
- 14:22Speaker 1: and Acquire correct. Yeah, I never heard of anything about
- 14:25Speaker 1: anything on Saturday though. Well, we got most of the
- 14:28Speaker 1: CHORE members coming out on Saturday, and we'd like to
- 14:31Speaker 1: know if you're gonna be available on Saturday to come
- 14:33Speaker 1: out of participate in the fundraiser for the children that's
- 14:36Speaker 1: going on their vacation next year. Oh you said all
- 14:39Speaker 1: the other chore members. I never heard anything from there,
- 14:43Speaker 1: all of the chore members. We probably have about ninety
- 14:45Speaker 1: five percent of the QUIRE members coming out. Yeah, I'm
- 14:49Speaker 1: free on Saturday. Okay. Now we're doing from five to
- 14:52Speaker 1: seven on Saturday, So are you available five pm to
- 14:56Speaker 1: seven pm? It's only two hours? Yeah? What's your saying?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Name was Brian? I'm sorry they call me Brian, Brian,
- 15:03Speaker 1: they called me Ba. I'm sorry. Oh okay, do I
- 15:06Speaker 1: meet you at the church? Uh? Well, I just joined
- 15:09Speaker 1: about three weeks ago and they've already given me an assignment.
- 15:13Speaker 1: So I made you in marketing in school. So they're
- 15:16Speaker 1: trying to get me to take care of the children
- 15:19Speaker 1: and their vacation that's coming up. So we put together
- 15:22Speaker 1: some things a great fundraiser, and you know, the chore
- 15:25Speaker 1: members have been very receptive. You're the last one for
- 15:27Speaker 1: me to call, and I wanted to make sure you
- 15:29Speaker 1: on board with us. Okay, yeah, I just never heard
- 15:32Speaker 1: about this stuff. Now, are you able to bring your
- 15:34Speaker 1: choir robe on on Saturday? Yeah, we were singing a song. No, no, no,
- 15:39Speaker 1: you guys are not actually going to be singing a song. Uh.
- 15:43Speaker 1: What it is is that we're having a uh and
- 15:46Speaker 1: I'm glad. I'm so glad that you're you're you're you're
- 15:48Speaker 1: ready to participate in what we're doing. So I want to,
- 15:50Speaker 1: first of all say thank you first and foremost. I
- 15:53Speaker 1: want to say thank you. Okay, all right, I can
- 15:56Speaker 1: bring my robe by just the road. What's gonna happen
- 15:59Speaker 1: is you guys aren't singing the song, but we're having
- 16:01Speaker 1: a wet robe uh contest. So what now? A wet
- 16:07Speaker 1: robe contest? You're talking about like a wet T shirt
- 16:11Speaker 1: contest type of thing. Well, it's not a T shirt
- 16:14Speaker 1: it's a robe. So you don't have a T shirt
- 16:17Speaker 1: or what what we need you to do with? No, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 16:20Speaker 1: not in the church. You're talking about the whole Uh
- 16:25Speaker 1: a wet robe contest. You said a wet robe contest.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I heard a wet T shirt contest. That's not that's
- 16:33Speaker 1: not the same thing though, right, well, no, it's a
- 16:36Speaker 1: little bit different. What it is. You don't have a
- 16:38Speaker 1: T shirt on. You actually have your your your choir
- 16:41Speaker 1: robe on, and you don't have anything or underneath it.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You don't wear any clothes undeath. And what we do
- 16:46Speaker 1: is all of ladies listen to me. We're gonna let
- 16:50Speaker 1: wet all of the ladies down, and the sexiest one
- 16:55Speaker 1: that's wet with their rolling at is gonna win five
- 16:59Speaker 1: hundred dollars and half for the money is gonna go
- 17:02Speaker 1: to the children's vacation. Hello, you're talking about a wet
- 17:07Speaker 1: T shirt contest in the church. No, I'm talking about
- 17:10Speaker 1: a wet road contest at the church. No, I'm not
- 17:13Speaker 1: sitting there getting there and and and and be naked
- 17:16Speaker 1: under it's gonna be it's gonna be out, it's gonna
- 17:19Speaker 1: be out under road. We need you to be completely
- 17:22Speaker 1: naked under your road, and we're gonna win everybody down
- 17:24Speaker 1: with the water holes, and the finest one is going
- 17:27Speaker 1: to be able to uh to win five hundred dollars
- 17:31Speaker 1: and two hundred and fifty of that half for that
- 17:33Speaker 1: money is gonna go to the children's They came, hold on,
- 17:36Speaker 1: hold on, what do you say your name was again?
- 17:37Speaker 1: My name? My name is Brian. No way after three
- 17:41Speaker 1: weeks that they gonna put you in charge of something.
- 17:43Speaker 1: I don't understand why it is a problem with you
- 17:45Speaker 1: trying to pitch help. They're trying to create that and
- 17:54Speaker 1: you don't want to help me. I want to help
- 17:56Speaker 1: the kids, but I'm not gonna get up there and
- 17:58Speaker 1: no choir road. I'm doing my best right now not
- 18:00Speaker 1: to cush you out because I'm a woman of God.
- 18:03Speaker 1: So you're too good to be naked under your role?
- 18:05Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying? You're too good to look.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I don't have to explain myself, but I'm not gonna
- 18:10Speaker 1: be naked up to no church. You couldn't do that
- 18:12Speaker 1: for the kids. I know you're not about to tell
- 18:15Speaker 1: me what I can and cannot do for no kids. Now,
- 18:17Speaker 1: I don't know who gave me my number, but I
- 18:19Speaker 1: think you need to figure out who else to call
- 18:21Speaker 1: for this because I'm not gonna be a part of this.
- 18:22Speaker 1: We called all the other choir members and they don't
- 18:25Speaker 1: have a problem with it. If you'll call all the
- 18:28Speaker 1: fire members, what are they names? What are the choire members?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Did you call that? What we called? We called sister
- 18:35Speaker 1: sister Bridget in the choir to the Bridget didn't have
- 18:38Speaker 1: a problem with it. Ain't no sister Bridget in the choir. Look,
- 18:43Speaker 1: you know, I don't know, but I think you need
- 18:45Speaker 1: to get on. Do you know Sister Divita in the
- 18:48Speaker 1: choir alone? Yes? Do your little sister Divita in the choir? Yes,
- 18:55Speaker 1: I know sister Divita. Okay, So so if a Divita
- 18:59Speaker 1: says it that Sister Bridge and Sister Rachel didn't have
- 19:03Speaker 1: a problem doing it, why do you have a problem
- 19:07Speaker 1: doing it. I'm not about to be naked in a church,
- 19:10Speaker 1: but ken't. You're not getting naked into the church. You're
- 19:13Speaker 1: gonna be in the back part of the church and
- 19:15Speaker 1: we're gonna spray you down with a water holes on
- 19:17Speaker 1: your roade. That's what We're not gonna be up there.
- 19:20Speaker 1: This is disgusting. What Thomas said you would do it.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Thomas said, you didn't have no problem doing it. Who
- 19:25Speaker 1: the hell it's Tommy. We don't even have a Tommy
- 19:28Speaker 1: at the church. You keep making up of these maids.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Tommy is nephew tom from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 19:34Speaker 1: That's who Tommy is. Hello. Oh my god, that's not real.
- 19:41Speaker 1: This is not it's not real, baby, that nobody was
- 19:44Speaker 1: calling you about doing a wet rope. You are I
- 19:48Speaker 1: was gonna go out on you. You were already going
- 19:51Speaker 1: off on me. Vida got me to prank phone call you.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm gonna get I was told of
- 20:01Speaker 1: my time. What you say you were about to cut
- 20:03Speaker 1: I was about to cut you out right out. Maybe
- 20:06Speaker 1: I gotta ask you, gotta tell me what's the baddest
- 20:08Speaker 1: What I mean, the baddest radio show in the late show?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Nothing like a road I don't know what that is? Right, yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 1: right there, all right, all right, thank you nephew. Coming
- 20:34Speaker 1: up next, it is asked the CLO Chief Love Officer,
- 20:37Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, back in the building and ready for your
- 20:40Speaker 1: love questions. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 20:44Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And entertainment news you got heard about this little Bootsie
- 20:52Speaker 1: wants to have an adult prom and he is planning
- 20:54Speaker 1: on inviting you, Steve and merjury, plus the other thing news. Yeah,
- 21:01Speaker 1: you've been away for a minute. That's what's happened over here. Pleasin.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Other entertainment news, R Kelly's new jail friend is the
- 21:11Speaker 1: accused subway shooter. What we'll talk about that. Also in
- 21:16Speaker 1: other entertainment news, we'll tell you about Ludacris's graduation gift.
- 21:19Speaker 1: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 21:22Speaker 1: of the hour, but right now it is time to
- 21:24Speaker 1: ask the clo teeny in Mexico says, I'm seventy one
- 21:30Speaker 1: and my husband and I retired and went to live
- 21:33Speaker 1: with our son, his wife and two children and play
- 21:36Speaker 1: at Del Carmen. I told my husband we need to
- 21:39Speaker 1: find our own house because my son expects me to
- 21:41Speaker 1: cook and babysit. My husband said it's a fair trade,
- 21:45Speaker 1: but he's not doing the work. How do I convince
- 21:48Speaker 1: him to move out? I don't know what they tell you, y'all.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Seventy one, I don't, I don't, I don't. I don't
- 21:55Speaker 1: know who made this decision. I can't help you. I'm
- 21:58Speaker 1: not seventy one. I can't advise you on this teeny.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I ain't never been in Mexico. I don't know what
- 22:05Speaker 1: y'all doing. I don't you know. I don't want to
- 22:08Speaker 1: fend nobody by saying, well me, I ain't stay that
- 22:14Speaker 1: long enough to you know, develop culture, having to nothing
- 22:17Speaker 1: like this. All I came away was liking guacamole way
- 22:20Speaker 1: better down there, because they make it different. And that's
- 22:23Speaker 1: all I came on. The enchiladas is the real deal
- 22:25Speaker 1: down there. Only what they're doing a taco bill. But
- 22:28Speaker 1: it ain't what's going on. It ain't real deal. I
- 22:30Speaker 1: can tell you that anyway. Those are the things I
- 22:33Speaker 1: came away when. I want to avoid this question for
- 22:35Speaker 1: or any council culture that might occurred behind it. So
- 22:38Speaker 1: I want to pass on this teeny. Good look with
- 22:40Speaker 1: your life, you and your husband and there with the
- 22:43Speaker 1: wife and kids and stuff like that. And I don't know.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Send me one how you out. I'm not convincing nobody.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I don't know why you send me one. You want
- 22:51Speaker 1: to live with nobody any damn way. My kids don't
- 22:55Speaker 1: want me moving in with them, I can promise you
- 22:57Speaker 1: there verse of all, we're gonna cut all this day
- 22:59Speaker 1: in music off and I don't like so they can't
- 23:03Speaker 1: come over here. So now they're gonna put me out. Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 1: all right, moving on, sorry, Teeny. Moving on to Jamie
- 23:12Speaker 1: and Clemson. Jamie says, I got married seven months ago,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and my husband is a great man, but he has
- 23:17Speaker 1: no filter. He says anything that comes to mind. Anything.
- 23:22Speaker 1: He told my twelve year old niece that her breath stinks,
- 23:24Speaker 1: and her father cursed him out. He is brutally honest
- 23:27Speaker 1: at all times. How do I get him to be
- 23:29Speaker 1: nice or be quiet, especially with my family? You ain't
- 23:33Speaker 1: gonna have to. He's gonna say the wrong thing to
- 23:35Speaker 1: the wrong person. I don't know how. He don't know
- 23:37Speaker 1: this yet. You ain't gonna tell the twelve year old
- 23:39Speaker 1: her breath stink. Why is you talking to the twelve
- 23:42Speaker 1: year old? But you're gonna say something about somebody child,
- 23:45Speaker 1: They're gonna handle it for you. Life has a way
- 23:48Speaker 1: of taking care of itself. You're gonna learn the lessons now,
- 23:50Speaker 1: or you're gonna learn them later. But you're gonna learn
- 23:52Speaker 1: all the lessons you need. Trust, me. There is no
- 23:56Speaker 1: elevator to the top. You had to take the steps.
- 23:59Speaker 1: If you skip us step, you're gonna get back on it. Obviously,
- 24:02Speaker 1: he's gotten away without saying what he want to say.
- 24:04Speaker 1: He just ain't said it to the right person yet.
- 24:07Speaker 1: But that right person gonna be the wrong person that day,
- 24:10Speaker 1: and all these will go away. You ain't got to
- 24:13Speaker 1: wear about him, never know Moore seven months into marriage. Okay,
- 24:20Speaker 1: Moving on to Amanda on Long Island. Amanda says, my
- 24:24Speaker 1: boyfriend and I have been dating a while and when
- 24:27Speaker 1: we met, he said he was getting his ex's name
- 24:29Speaker 1: off his chest. The tattoo bothers me more now since
- 24:35Speaker 1: we're talking about marriage. I got a temporary tattoo of
- 24:38Speaker 1: a man's name, and he thought it was funny. How
- 24:40Speaker 1: do I get him to take me seriously? What she said,
- 24:45Speaker 1: She put a temporary tattoo of a man's name just
- 24:47Speaker 1: to show him what it was. Like, Yeah, I'm okay,
- 24:51Speaker 1: so yeah, Well he thought it was funny because he
- 24:53Speaker 1: knew it was temporary. Well, you know, here's a deal.
- 24:57Speaker 1: You're not sleeping with him anymore until he gets the
- 25:00Speaker 1: name off his chest, because you ain't fit to look
- 25:03Speaker 1: at it. Wonder about it or nothing else? Cut yea
- 25:09Speaker 1: with a butter knife. I have it off this evening.
- 25:17Speaker 1: That's painful. I know, great, Amanda, you could try that
- 25:22Speaker 1: or you know all right, people trying to get it off.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Last one, Steve Lafaye and Olney says, my husband and
- 25:37Speaker 1: I love reality TV, but he has gotten way too
- 25:41Speaker 1: comfortable in telling me who's beautiful, who's had work done,
- 25:45Speaker 1: and who needs work done. When I confronted him about it,
- 25:48Speaker 1: he said, if I can have an opinion on the ladies,
- 25:52Speaker 1: so if I can have an opinion on the ladies,
- 25:54Speaker 1: so can he. I enjoy his company, but not his commentary.
- 25:57Speaker 1: What do I do? That's almost now. I don't know
- 26:01Speaker 1: what y'all watching. You know, y'all watching, y'all sitting up
- 26:05Speaker 1: here watching all this that's going on. How he ain't
- 26:07Speaker 1: gonna comment? He telling me what he thinks. That's what
- 26:10Speaker 1: he watching it for the work, I'll tell you right now. Well,
- 26:14Speaker 1: let me tell you how the conversation going. We're watching TV.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I'm old that girl right there, she didn't had them
- 26:20Speaker 1: breast put on her, which both she had worked on
- 26:27Speaker 1: both for them. She didn't just do the left side.
- 26:30Speaker 1: She did both girl, Oh which one about form? They
- 26:38Speaker 1: all do it, you know, because when they do the recap,
- 26:41Speaker 1: you know, you know the show reunion, they all had
- 26:45Speaker 1: that white powder put between their breast make them look
- 26:48Speaker 1: like they separated and bigger. And you know that's how
- 26:52Speaker 1: I like. Because I watched the show. I bought my
- 26:53Speaker 1: wife's over that white powder too. See if she bought
- 26:59Speaker 1: a little comfortable with with you know, with noticing all
- 27:02Speaker 1: of this. Well, I'm very comfortable noticing what you want
- 27:04Speaker 1: me to. Well, you know we're watching it. What do
- 27:06Speaker 1: you want me to watch it but not see it?
- 27:08Speaker 1: For you? How you want this to work? I just
- 27:10Speaker 1: want you to watch it? Yeah, well I am watching it,
- 27:13Speaker 1: but you know, I mean they talking, but why are
- 27:16Speaker 1: you talking? We can't even follow along because I don't
- 27:19Speaker 1: say nothing to the commercial. Come on, we can fast
- 27:23Speaker 1: forward that sometime. You know. I take notes of who
- 27:26Speaker 1: I think need brisk who I think needs taking notes,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'll put it down on my paper. Who need they
- 27:33Speaker 1: know conto it? A lot of them girls knows ain't
- 27:36Speaker 1: come to it. They put them two stripes on each side.
- 27:38Speaker 1: They know, see that white powder. It don't just go
- 27:40Speaker 1: on and be at a chest white powder on each side.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You're listening. Little Boosy told social media that he wanted
- 27:52Speaker 1: to plan an adult prom since he missed his All right,
- 27:56Speaker 1: take a listen to his celebrity guestless Steve. I woke
- 27:59Speaker 1: up this moaning with a prom wish list. God told
- 28:02Speaker 1: men caught it being. I'll see, I'll say, gonna put
- 28:05Speaker 1: it on money Bag and Arty. No, they're gonna put

- 29:48Speaker 1: see everybody news Man and other entertainment news. R Kelly
- 29:54Speaker 1: is facing life in prison when he sentenced on June fifteenth,
- 29:58Speaker 1: and until then he's made the most of his time
- 30:01Speaker 1: in jail in Brooklyn, For instance, he often performs for
- 30:04Speaker 1: his captive audience. In one surreal example, Kel's reportedly silenced
- 30:10Speaker 1: a crowd in the visiting room at Metropolitan Detention Center
- 30:13Speaker 1: when he stood in his jail fatigues and gave an
- 30:15Speaker 1: acapella performance of I Believe I Can Fly. According to
- 30:21Speaker 1: a source present for the impromptu concert, yeah, even correction
- 30:30Speaker 1: officers watched and stunned silence. He also sings while he's
- 30:34Speaker 1: in his self after the convinced, after the convicted King
- 30:38Speaker 1: of R and B is making friends. He's making a
- 30:40Speaker 1: lot of friends. Are and Frank James and Manacus In
- 30:45Speaker 1: the Brooklyn subway shooting last month, three sources said that
- 30:49Speaker 1: the men get along famously. They eat together, they talk
- 30:52Speaker 1: about TV shows, and they go to the wreck together.
- 30:55Speaker 1: They are buds. The source said, there you go, Yeah,
- 31:00Speaker 1: that's his buddy of Well, you know, look, I mean, y'all,
- 31:04Speaker 1: let's be really fair about this. You're in prison. You
- 31:08Speaker 1: can't be real picking about who your friends is. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 1: you know, y'all all in there not eighty five eighty
- 31:19Speaker 1: percent of people are in there. Seventy five seventy five
- 31:22Speaker 1: percent of people are in there for a reason. Yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 1: twenty five percent ain't done a damn thing. So the
- 31:29Speaker 1: reason they're in that fall You ain't got time to
- 31:31Speaker 1: judge because you're in that too. So I ain't really
- 31:34Speaker 1: mad a with who he'd be friends with. And I'm
- 31:37Speaker 1: like this, man, Look, man, if if you get convicted
- 31:40Speaker 1: and you and you did something, and you're doing the
- 31:42Speaker 1: punishment for your crime, then that's all you can expect.
- 31:45Speaker 1: You know, I ain't gonna beat you no more, you know,
- 31:49Speaker 1: you know, I wish him well, you know, I hope
- 31:51Speaker 1: he gets through it, you know, you know, because you know,
- 31:54Speaker 1: you know, you got to pay for your sins. We
- 31:56Speaker 1: all do, so, you know, I don't. I don't really
- 31:59Speaker 1: wish more grief on anybody, you know, imprisoned as enough.
- 32:05Speaker 1: It really is enough. Man. The loss of liberty and
- 32:08Speaker 1: freedom and choices, that's a major loss, man. So whatever
- 32:13Speaker 1: people are serving their time, you know, I just respect
- 32:15Speaker 1: the fact that they're doing it and just let it be,
- 32:18Speaker 1: you know, all right. Well, finally an entertainment news. He's
- 32:21Speaker 1: it's graduation season. We know that hip hop star and
- 32:24Speaker 1: actor Ludacris gifted himself with a private jet as a
- 32:28Speaker 1: graduation gift. As we told you, he recently received an
- 32:31Speaker 1: honorary Bachelor of Science and Music Management degree from Georgia
- 32:35Speaker 1: State University, that is, of course, his alma mater. Luda
- 32:38Speaker 1: shared a video of his new plane with hashtag family
- 32:42Speaker 1: Upgrade in the caption. The new jet actually is an
- 32:45Speaker 1: upgrade from the Hawker seven hundred plane he had before,
- 32:48Speaker 1: and for the record, Luda has a pilot's license. Okay, yeah,
- 32:54Speaker 1: not really nice a license. No, I don't know. They
- 32:59Speaker 1: just said, have you ever want to get one? Steve?
- 33:04Speaker 1: What do I don't even like looking out the window.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Halt the time. I'm damn sure ain't gonna be upfront.
- 33:15Speaker 1: More space up there, isn't it, man, I ain't got
- 33:18Speaker 1: the nurse for that. We land here from this ground,
- 33:22Speaker 1: you know, because sometimes you know, on the plane, you
- 33:24Speaker 1: know you can hear one hundred eighty eighty feet altitude
- 33:29Speaker 1: fifty feet, thirty feet, twenty feet, you know you can
- 33:34Speaker 1: hear it. Yeah, I'll be going okay, I don't want
- 33:40Speaker 1: to be up here with this little stick in my
- 33:41Speaker 1: hand to say he water. I'll be pulling up too soon,
- 33:46Speaker 1: trying to land too soft. Coming up in twenty minutes
- 33:50Speaker 1: after the hour. What article of clothing or footwear are
- 33:53Speaker 1: you willing to spend the most money on? Well, we'll
- 33:56Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening show. What
- 34:02Speaker 1: article of clothing or footwear are you willing to spend
- 34:06Speaker 1: the most money on? Is the question? Well? In trending
- 34:10Speaker 1: fashion News, the blind Thiaga brand is selling a pair
- 34:13Speaker 1: of torn up, messed up hot top sneakers forget this
- 34:17Speaker 1: price eighteen hundred dollars eighteen fifty to be exact, completely destroyed.
- 34:26Speaker 1: These shoes are I mean they look crazy? All right, Steve,
- 34:30Speaker 1: is there? Have you seen these shoes? Sneakers? Yes, dog
- 34:38Speaker 1: dog dog dan'g gonna be able to keep them shoes? Right,
- 34:43Speaker 1: people are gonna buy them, for sure, they're gonna buy them. Me, Tommy,
- 34:46Speaker 1: they're not gonna be able to keep them. Huh. People
- 34:49Speaker 1: gonna buy for the conversation. Boy, do you know what
- 34:52Speaker 1: these people are into? Look at me, see me, ask me,
- 34:55Speaker 1: look at me, watch me. Hey, we in that world? Right, boy,
- 34:59Speaker 1: let me tell you so, you ain't gonna be able
- 35:01Speaker 1: to keep them. They're gonna sell out. Man, they're gonna
- 35:03Speaker 1: be collectors like them. When they did the story, they
- 35:07Speaker 1: had already this one guy had already bought him and
- 35:10Speaker 1: he was walking on him. He says, yeah, yeah, I
- 35:12Speaker 1: like them. They're cool. Once I have him on, everybody's
- 35:15Speaker 1: gonna buy him. He's some sort of fashion guru. But
- 35:18Speaker 1: they look crazy. So, Steve, the question to you is
- 35:21Speaker 1: is there an article of clothing or footwear that is
- 35:24Speaker 1: no budget as far as you're concerned, Because you love
- 35:26Speaker 1: them so much, well, I mean, it's a limit to
- 35:29Speaker 1: everything as far as I'm concerned. But I will spend
- 35:34Speaker 1: what's the most you've spent on a soup Tommy? Three
- 35:38Speaker 1: thousand dollars? You know? To being made? Yeah? Customary and
- 35:46Speaker 1: and and I don't care if you go out of
- 35:48Speaker 1: style or not. And how big I get. I keep
- 35:50Speaker 1: cutting it and changing it if we're gonna wear that? Damn. Yeah,
- 35:56Speaker 1: that's expensive for a suit? You know? How about you? Most? Yeah, Calamon,
- 36:05Speaker 1: give me this shocking answer. How much? Probably what Twenny
- 36:15Speaker 1: jack Jackie would have left me? What most shoe spitter?
- 36:22Speaker 1: For shoe? Oh? I know what? Julian Junior? How much
- 36:25Speaker 1: shit a suit? Suit? Oh? Seen? Okay? Good? Seventeen fifty custom? Yeah,
- 36:42Speaker 1: I'm not shoes. How much I'm shoot different? How much
- 36:45Speaker 1: most for a shoot? Junior? Quick? Quick? Tire me quick?
- 36:52Speaker 1: Come on? Three thousand for a shoe? H come on?
- 36:59Speaker 1: H your a goot on? Three thousand dollars shoe? Alright?
- 37:10Speaker 1: Someone up in thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll
- 37:12Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 37:15Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, the
- 37:19Speaker 1: teenagers suspected of killing ten people in an alleged hate
- 37:24Speaker 1: crime in a Buffalo supermarket Saturday. Was brought to a
- 37:28Speaker 1: hospital by state police in June of twenty twenty one.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Now get this, he was brought in for a mental
- 37:34Speaker 1: health evaluation after expressing his desire to carry out a
- 37:38Speaker 1: mass shooting. This is according to law enforcement officials. The
- 37:42Speaker 1: racist terrorist Peyton Gendren, eighteen years old, was brought to
- 37:46Speaker 1: a hospital by state police last June and released. He
- 37:50Speaker 1: was released a day and a half later. State and
- 37:53Speaker 1: federal law enforcement didn't pick up further intelligence on Gendren
- 37:58Speaker 1: before Saturday's massacre. The store where the shooting took place
- 38:02Speaker 1: is in a largely black neighborhood of Buffalo. Eleven of
- 38:06Speaker 1: the people's shot where black, two were white. The killer
- 38:09Speaker 1: Gendren had three weapons in R fifteen on his person
- 38:13Speaker 1: and a rifle and a shotgun in his car. The
- 38:17Speaker 1: shooter's car had white lives matter written on it. According
- 38:20Speaker 1: to a bulletin circulated among law enforcement, this is crazy
- 38:25Speaker 1: right here. So he went to a mental hospital to
- 38:27Speaker 1: be evaluated for this very crime that he committed. Crazy right.
- 38:33Speaker 1: A day and a half later, well, I mean what
- 38:36Speaker 1: they got was released he didn't commit, so they're gonna
- 38:40Speaker 1: let you out. Yeah, but people like that, I mean,
- 38:48Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we don't have a manpower to
- 38:50Speaker 1: do that. That's what they're gonna say. It's just it's
- 38:54Speaker 1: just heartbreaking. He played that a key, drove three and
- 38:58Speaker 1: a half hours, he planned, and then he wrote about it.
- 39:01Speaker 1: In high school, he went to a mental institution. And
- 39:04Speaker 1: we can't do nothing until they actually kill people to
- 39:07Speaker 1: avoid Yeah, I mean all the signs were there, All
- 39:11Speaker 1: the signs were there. Well, the white kid that got
- 39:16Speaker 1: off whose mother drove him to the rally with the
- 39:20Speaker 1: good Kyle Rittenhouse. Yes, he killed some people and he
- 39:25Speaker 1: got off. Yeah, because he cried on the stand. Yeah.
- 39:29Speaker 1: They have a different set of laws and rules for them,
- 39:33Speaker 1: and this one right here. I'm just anxious to see
- 39:35Speaker 1: how this plays out. I don't see how this boy
- 39:38Speaker 1: don't go to prison. It'll be a real problem. It'll
- 39:42Speaker 1: be a real problem if that happens. Yeah. I have
- 39:45Speaker 1: played not guilty. Yeah, yeah, because they have to prove
- 39:50Speaker 1: yeah in court. President Biden will visit the sight of
- 39:54Speaker 1: the shooting today. The President said on Sunday that our
- 39:58Speaker 1: hearts are heavy once again, but we are are resolved,
- 40:01Speaker 1: must never ever waiver. So that's from President. So what
- 40:05Speaker 1: is our resolve? Gum control regulation? So I don't know something, Steve,
- 40:15Speaker 1: we gotta do something. Yeah, this country will never ever
- 40:22Speaker 1: do gun control or gun reform. They're making too much
- 40:26Speaker 1: money and the NIA spends too much money on the
- 40:29Speaker 1: Republican Conservative Party for the Second Amendment. Right, we will
- 40:36Speaker 1: money and this will be an ongoing problem. The only
- 40:40Speaker 1: way this problem ends if this starts happening to some
- 40:48Speaker 1: of the people's children who are accepting money from the NIA,
- 40:54Speaker 1: because then those mothers see because a mother got little
- 40:58Speaker 1: for their children, can then about your money until something
- 41:03Speaker 1: happens to the politicians children who are accepting money from
- 41:07Speaker 1: the n r A, and then has to be faced
- 41:10Speaker 1: with the reality is this money worth the life of
- 41:13Speaker 1: your children? Then that answer will become a resounding no,
- 41:17Speaker 1: and the mothers and their wives will make sure of that.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Until that happened, the beat goes on because Steve, up
- 41:22Speaker 1: until now, the answer has just been more guns. If
- 41:26Speaker 1: I had had a gun, then I could have stopped
- 41:28Speaker 1: some of all this, if I had had a gun myself.
- 41:30Speaker 1: You know, that's usual. Usually the answer more guns, which
- 41:37Speaker 1: is unfortunate. You know, yeah, I don't. I don't see
- 41:40Speaker 1: this country ever reversing that stand. No, no, because you
- 41:44Speaker 1: see what's more guns? You know, they loosen the restrictions
- 41:50Speaker 1: on gun purchases, all of that. It's it keeps going
- 41:55Speaker 1: in the opposite direction. All right, we're gonna switch gears here,
- 42:00Speaker 1: lighting things up a bit. Coming up next, the Nephew
- 42:03Speaker 1: is here with today's prank phone call. Right after this.

- 43:30Speaker 1: bring it to your attention. Now. You took a one
- 43:34Speaker 1: of your last subjects was English, uh, and you had
- 43:37Speaker 1: an English exam with a You guys are writing an essay?
- 43:41Speaker 1: Am I am? I am? I correct about that? Yeah? Yeah,
- 43:45Speaker 1: that's true. Okay, See that we got some problems here
- 43:48Speaker 1: that the professor there is actually a simulating that you
- 43:51Speaker 1: may have cheated on this on this essay that you've
- 43:55Speaker 1: actually written cheated now, I mean from what he's telling
- 44:01Speaker 1: us here at Student Affairs is that you may have
- 44:04Speaker 1: plagiarized some things that that we're in your essay dude, No,
- 44:09Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't plagiarize nothing that was in the essay.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Everything is documented like it should be, So I don't
- 44:13Speaker 1: know what you're talking about, especially cheating on no exam
- 44:16Speaker 1: or no paper nothing like that. You must got me
- 44:18Speaker 1: mixed up with somebody else. No, no, no, not at all.
- 44:20Speaker 1: You're actually mister Travan. Correct. I mean that's me. But
- 44:23Speaker 1: I didn't cheat on no exam. But that matter. Okay, Well,
- 44:27Speaker 1: let me let me try to bring you up to
- 44:29Speaker 1: speed here at Travan. What we're gonna need is, we're
- 44:30Speaker 1: gonna need you to actually come in and talk to
- 44:33Speaker 1: us over here at student Affairs so we can try
- 44:35Speaker 1: to get this thing rectified. But I will let you know,
- 44:38Speaker 1: it's gonna take a few more days longer than graduation.
- 44:43Speaker 1: So as of right now, you're actually not gonna be
- 44:45Speaker 1: walking uh and graduating with the rest of the students. Man, man,
- 44:50Speaker 1: you got me messed up. What's what you mean? I'm
- 44:52Speaker 1: not gonna be walking well until we get this situation
- 44:55Speaker 1: rectified here. You're not gonna be graduating with the rest
- 44:58Speaker 1: of the students now, dog dot, I don't know what
- 45:01Speaker 1: y'all gotta do, but y'all need to figure it out
- 45:02Speaker 1: or find out what the problem. Man. I ain't cheat
- 45:04Speaker 1: on know exam then you're talking about Dude, my family
- 45:07Speaker 1: is coming down here, and you're talking about cheating on
- 45:09Speaker 1: an English exam. There, I look like cheating on an example.

- 45:14Speaker 1: to fix it, like right now, like today while we're
- 45:16Speaker 1: on the phone. We can't do that. It's a little
- 45:18Speaker 1: it's a sensitive subject and like I said, it seems
- 45:20Speaker 1: like it's plagiarism. I mean, you know, if we can
- 45:23Speaker 1: get you to actually come over the student affairs next wednesday, man, Man,
- 45:27Speaker 1: you got me? What you mean next Wednesday? Dude, I'm

- 45:34Speaker 1: why don't my professor didn't give me a call? Why
- 45:36Speaker 1: are you calling me sir? This is not something that
- 45:38Speaker 1: professors actually take care of. This is a student affair
- 45:41Speaker 1: situation now, and it's a very sensitive situation. And what
- 45:44Speaker 1: we want to do is try to get this thing
- 45:46Speaker 1: taken care of. And if you if what you're saying
- 45:48Speaker 1: is actually true, then you'll probably graduating. Man, got me?
- 45:54Speaker 1: I'm telling you writing that this is some you got me, August,
- 45:58Speaker 1: I'm graduating this to mestom to me here too long

- 46:04Speaker 1: and you talk about August, I ain't even time to
- 46:07Speaker 1: hear rid right here. You don't even say, Man, you
- 46:10Speaker 1: didn't even time to hear what you got to say. Man,
- 46:11Speaker 1: My family is coming down here from everywhere to see
- 46:14Speaker 1: me graduate. Man, I'm the first to graduate from my family.
- 46:17Speaker 1: You're talking about some turn about my cheat on the paper,
- 46:20Speaker 1: A paper, a paper. Then you're come here. Man, I'm
- 46:24Speaker 1: gonna work two and three jos to see me through
- 46:26Speaker 1: this school. And now I'm coming getting rid of to graduate.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Are you talking about I got to wait until August
- 46:31Speaker 1: a graduate? Man. Hell Now, I'm on my way to
- 46:34Speaker 1: the office right now, and you can tell whoever the
- 46:35Speaker 1: professor is that I'm on my way and he needs
- 46:38Speaker 1: to be there too, Sir. I can really tell you
- 46:40Speaker 1: that we can try and get this thing rectified in
- 46:42Speaker 1: the earlier the next Wednesday. Man, what's your name again?
- 46:45Speaker 1: And where's where's your office? Okay, okay, okay, okay. So
- 46:50Speaker 1: I'm about to get in my car right now and
- 46:52Speaker 1: I'm about to come over there. And we're gonna handle
- 46:53Speaker 1: it today. And I as, how are you singing to
- 46:55Speaker 1: me cheating on the exam on paper? Man? Is that
- 47:00Speaker 1: honest saying? Is the professor man that there's a possibility
- 47:02Speaker 1: of plagiarism here? Man? Are you canding me? Do I've
- 47:05Speaker 1: been in five Yes, I'm the first man to graduate
- 47:10Speaker 1: from Carmers. Man, my grandma is eighty two? He is old?
- 47:14Speaker 1: Is she coming in and see me graduate? And you're
- 47:16Speaker 1: telling me the abody seen on the papers? And I
- 47:19Speaker 1: got away to all this a graduate span. May you
- 47:22Speaker 1: tell the professors to come to your office right now
- 47:25Speaker 1: because I'm already in my car, all my way to
- 47:27Speaker 1: come to your office and we're gonna handing this today,
- 47:30Speaker 1: said man, you got me. I don't have any more
- 47:33Speaker 1: room or my schedule to actually pull anybody in today
- 47:36Speaker 1: or he's gonna call me with like this something. You
- 47:39Speaker 1: ain't got room on your schedule. Man, Hell now, miss missile,
- 47:43Speaker 1: whatever your name is, I'm on my way to your
- 47:45Speaker 1: office home, and I tell you I'm gonna tell you,
- 47:48Speaker 1: and I'm telling you up front it's gonna be a problem.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I ain't graduating in a few days. You got to
- 47:53Speaker 1: deal with me. You got to deal with my family
- 47:55Speaker 1: and my mama. Where donna play this? Then you gotta sir,
- 48:00Speaker 1: is there a possibility that maybe you plagiarized and didn't
- 48:03Speaker 1: know that you did that? Man? You mean the paper
- 48:06Speaker 1: was officer and can I can? I? Can I tell
- 48:09Speaker 1: you one more thing? And then and then all that
- 48:11Speaker 1: I can't tell you? Not really call me somebody. I
- 48:14Speaker 1: can't graduate with my class as I hadn't been this
- 48:16Speaker 1: for five years, the second and sun in my colf
- 48:19Speaker 1: and you're telling me I can't graduate until August. You
- 48:22Speaker 1: ain't got to tell me. I do have one more
- 48:24Speaker 1: thing I need to tell you, and then I'll let
- 48:26Speaker 1: you be on your way. Okay, man, go ahead. Can
- 48:30Speaker 1: I tell you what I want to tell you? Now?

- 52:08Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you here. It is
- 52:10Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. Subject the Pastor's Pride and Joy. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I'm a thirty seven year old single woman and I
- 52:18Speaker 1: was engaged but recently ended the relationship with my fiance.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Since then, he's tried to get me back, but I
- 52:25Speaker 1: can't get past what happened with his secretary, Terry. My
- 52:29Speaker 1: ex Beyonce is a pastor and he is running the
- 52:32Speaker 1: church right now because his father has been ill for
- 52:35Speaker 1: a while. He's a great pastor, and the congregation has
- 52:38Speaker 1: grown since he's been in the pulpit. All of a
- 52:40Speaker 1: single women in church, young and old, would give me
- 52:43Speaker 1: the side eye when they found out I was his Beyonce.
- 52:46Speaker 1: I dealt with all of that. What I couldn't deal
- 52:49Speaker 1: with is his attraction to his secretary. This younger lady
- 52:53Speaker 1: has long red hair, beautiful legs, a great butt, and
- 52:57Speaker 1: a beautiful smile. Of course, he's tract a tour but
- 53:01Speaker 1: what I can understand is why she would want to
- 53:03Speaker 1: work at our church Monday through Friday, when she could
- 53:06Speaker 1: be doing something in her field of real estate. My
- 53:10Speaker 1: mind got to play in tricks on me, and then
- 53:12Speaker 1: my intuition kicked in. I tried to calm my demons,
- 53:16Speaker 1: but two days ago I lost it and I drove
- 53:19Speaker 1: up to the church at eight pm. My fiance was
- 53:22Speaker 1: in his office and little miss Secretary was in the
- 53:26Speaker 1: bathroom adjacent to his office. He seemed surprised to see me,
- 53:30Speaker 1: and he said he had just come by the church
- 53:33Speaker 1: to lock up and make sure Miss Secretary got to
- 53:35Speaker 1: her car safely. When she came out of the bathroom,
- 53:39Speaker 1: her blouse was unbuttoned, so she quickly darted back into
- 53:43Speaker 1: the bathroom. I pushed past him and ran and banged
- 53:46Speaker 1: on the bathroom door. He yelled at me and said
- 53:49Speaker 1: I was out of line and I was scaring her.
- 53:52Speaker 1: He said she is the pride and joy of the
- 53:54Speaker 1: church because she works for free and they need her.
- 53:57Speaker 1: I told this old fool, nothing in life, life is free,
- 54:00Speaker 1: and I dumped him. Are they fooling around? How can
- 54:04Speaker 1: he be so naive? Well? At true statement, nothing in
- 54:08Speaker 1: life is free, And both of them seemed to be
- 54:10Speaker 1: paying for this in some way, and yes they are
- 54:14Speaker 1: fooling around. Okay, you already know this because she came
- 54:17Speaker 1: out of the bathroom where her blouse opened and ran
- 54:21Speaker 1: when she saw you. All right, they that had fooling
- 54:26Speaker 1: around all over it. Pay attention anyway. Yeah, my battle
- 54:35Speaker 1: that her coming out of the bathroom where her blouse
- 54:37Speaker 1: all open and everything. Come on, now, that that just
- 54:40Speaker 1: had fooling around all over it. And you saw this
- 54:43Speaker 1: with your own eyes. You ask, how can he be
- 54:46Speaker 1: so naive? Well, how can you question what you know
- 54:50Speaker 1: is right? He's not naive. He saw how cute she is,
- 54:53Speaker 1: just like you and everyone else did. They did it,
- 54:56Speaker 1: you know it, and you dumped him because of it.
- 54:59Speaker 1: So why are you backtracking like you're getting confused and
- 55:02Speaker 1: not sure what happened? He cheated? Don't make excuses for him.
- 55:06Speaker 1: You did the right thing. You did the right thing.
- 55:09Speaker 1: They've been doing this for a while. She works for free.
- 55:11Speaker 1: He said, they need her. She's cute, long hair, beautiful legs. Great,
- 55:15Speaker 1: but he's at the church. You suspected something you drove
- 55:18Speaker 1: in there. You saw it, all right, Just move on, now,
- 55:22Speaker 1: just move on. You already dumped them. Steve, completely disagree
- 55:28Speaker 1: with everything Shirley has said this is a shame. This
- 55:33Speaker 1: is why churches is falling apart today because members have
- 55:37Speaker 1: the mindset of Shirley Strawbuild, always running too far with
- 55:42Speaker 1: the information. Let's go over this letter as as she
- 55:46Speaker 1: wrote it, the so called victim quotations subject the pastest
- 55:53Speaker 1: pride and joy man ca' head. Dear Stephen Sherley, I'm
- 56:01Speaker 1: a thirty seven year old single woman and you're about
- 56:04Speaker 1: to find out why. And I was engaged but recently
- 56:08Speaker 1: ended the relationship with my fiance. Since then, he's tried
- 56:12Speaker 1: to get me back, but I can't get past what
- 56:14Speaker 1: happened with his secretary. So now here's a situation yon.
- 56:19Speaker 1: My ex fiance is a pastor, and he's running the
- 56:22Speaker 1: church right now because his father been here for a while.
- 56:25Speaker 1: He's a great pastor, and the congregation has grown since
- 56:29Speaker 1: he has been in the poolpit, thus proving that he's
- 56:33Speaker 1: a great pastor. Then here comes to color commentary. All
- 56:39Speaker 1: of the single women in the church, young and old,
- 56:43Speaker 1: would give me the side eye when they found out
- 56:46Speaker 1: I was his fiance. Right there, you got the apple
- 56:53Speaker 1: of everybody's eye. So now they're giving you the side out.
- 56:58Speaker 1: I dealt with all. What I couldn't deal with was
- 57:01Speaker 1: his attention to his secondary. Now listen to this description.
- 57:05Speaker 1: The younger lady has long red hair, beautiful legs, a
- 57:12Speaker 1: great butt, and a beautiful smile. Then she says, of
- 57:16Speaker 1: course he's attracted to her. Yes, yes, I'm attracted to her.
- 57:23Speaker 1: What you just said, she has long red hair? Reposo?
- 57:32Speaker 1: Reposo is walking around at the church. What the lady
- 57:37Speaker 1: in the castle with the hair hanging out the window
- 57:40Speaker 1: with the moat round it das school walking around the
- 57:43Speaker 1: church with beautiful legs, a great butt, and a pretty smile.
- 57:50Speaker 1: The new edition. They ain't they all being de vote?
- 57:53Speaker 1: Never trusts, a big button, a smile? Why not? Steve's
- 58:00Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 58:04Speaker 1: The Pastor's Pride and Enjoy is today's Strawberry Letters. Subject.
- 58:07Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 58:11Speaker 1: Steve Show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 58:15Speaker 1: strawberry letter. The subject is the Pastor's Pride and enjoy
- 58:20Speaker 1: Right there, the pastor's pride and joy. Like I said,
- 58:23Speaker 1: that man can't hand none, He can't be prideful or
- 58:26Speaker 1: joyful about then here comes somebody always wants man to
- 58:30Speaker 1: be miserable and unhappy, But the moment a man get
- 58:33Speaker 1: pride and enjoy here coming. You need to be you
- 58:35Speaker 1: need you need to be desponded and saying, oh, skip
- 58:38Speaker 1: your pride and joy, let me ruin with it for you.
- 58:40Speaker 1: You are thirty seven year old single woman. We find
- 58:43Speaker 1: in our why because you hinted the relationship with your fiance,
- 58:46Speaker 1: and he'd been trying to get you back. But you
- 58:48Speaker 1: can't get past what you say happened with his secretary.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Now you ask, fiance happens to be the pastor of
- 58:53Speaker 1: the church, took over his father for his father because
- 58:55Speaker 1: his father wasn't doing well. The congregation has grown because
- 58:59Speaker 1: he's a really, really good pastor. And then all the
- 59:03Speaker 1: single women in the church, young and old, have given
- 59:05Speaker 1: you decide that when they found out I was his fiance.
- 59:09Speaker 1: I dealt with all that. Now, she said, what I
- 59:11Speaker 1: couldn't deal with is his attraction to his secretary. This
- 59:15Speaker 1: younger lady has long red hair, beautiful legs, come on,
- 59:20Speaker 1: a great button, and a beautiful smile. She said, of
- 59:27Speaker 1: course he's attracted her. Never trust a big butt and
- 59:32Speaker 1: a smile. Why not build and devoute poison, poison, poison,
- 59:47Speaker 1: poison poising. If you're a boy, a blessing, if you
- 59:52Speaker 1: a man, yeah, let's let's move on. But what I
- 59:58Speaker 1: can't understand is why she would want to work at
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: our church Monday through Friday when she could be doing
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: something in her field of real estate. She trying to
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: serve the Lord. You are trying to ruin this woman
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: who is in here trying to serve the Lord Monday
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: through Friday. That's why churches get told down now because
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: of members like Sister Shirley don't want this woman. I
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: don't understand why she would want to work at our
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: church Monday through Friday when she could be doing something
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: in her field of real estate. She is serving the Lord.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Sacrifice my mind, the devil, My mind got to play
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: tricks on me, and then my intuition kicked in. I
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: tried to calm my demons. See she got demons in.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: That's what tan the church down. Demons so Lord demon,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: But two days ago I lost it. I drove up
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: to the church at eight pl My fiance was in
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: his office, that pastor in his office, pastor worshiping servings,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: in the evening hours, and little miss Secretary was in
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: the bathroom adjacent to his office. That mean crossed the hall. Yeah,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: she wasn't even in the bathroom in the pastor's office.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: She was in the bathroom. I chased it, but the
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: women supposed to be make a play now here. She
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: then he seemed surprised to see me and said he
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: had just come by the church to lock up and
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: make sure a miss Secretary got to her cars safe.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: What a man should do. Yeah, when she came out
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: the bathroom, her blouse was unbuttoned, so she quickly darted
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: back into the bathroom. You know how many times I
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: hadn't walked out of bathroom my pant been unsift something.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: I had run back in there and turned around face
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: the walls. If my parents up, it happens, it happens.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna ask you again to be quiet. I'm going
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to ask you because I didn't interrupt your little raggedy answer,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You're not gonna interrupted answer whatever. Whatever. Now her blouse
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: was unbuttoned. She didn't notice it until she was coming
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: back in and the wind pushed it open, so she
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: dogged back in the bathroom. You know when you walk
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: the wind, push it on the unbutton. No, she was
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: in the bathroom getting but you know when you're sitting
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: on the toilet you get hot sometimes, Like I hat
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: all my clothes on the back of the hook, and
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: I used bathroom necking. I don't I don't like. I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: don't like because I don't like my pants be wrinkled
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: up down around by my legs. So I hate my
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: clothes on the hook and the back of the door. Anyway,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: she came out, she daughter back. I pushed past him
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: and ran and banged on the bathroom door. He yelled
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: at me and said I was out of line and
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I was scaring her. You scaring the girl. She was
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: in there using the bathroom. And now you want Tanny
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: damn dough down after church. But see what you left
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: out was what you were saying. Half come out of
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: that half. I'm gonna kill you. You scared her, He said.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: She is the pride and joy of the church because
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: she works for free and they need her sacrificeing what
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: she could be in real estate to serve the Lord
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: and work at the church. And she is the pride
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: and joy of this church. And you members are not
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: gonna tie her down and make her feel I wanted.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I told this old fool. Nothing in life is free.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: It is some things in life that's free. This's a
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: whole lot of stuff that free. Government. Cheese was free,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: fags were free, and stamps was free. Yeah, I dumped him.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Are they fooling around? How can he be so neat
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: and naive? How is he naive? He ain't done nothing naive?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Leave him and her alone and left them worship at
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: surch Yeah, Strawberry Letter. You welcome at Steve Harvey FM Facebook.

- 1:04:31Speaker 1: see you catch any of the games? No? No, they
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: don't care. Don't have basketball over that catch your mouth though, well,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: damns ktch you up up? No, I don't know nothing, Junior,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: what any whimper knowing at all of the math and
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: the Suns man. The MAVs beat the Suns one twenty
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: three to ninety. So they're gonna be in the Western
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: confer Finals to face Golden State. Uh, and then you
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: got Boston in Miami and the Eastern Conference finals. You
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: got any picks, you got it. You want to see
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: who how he's gonna go? Well, I just want to
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: remind Tommy that he said that that series would be
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: a sweep. I did and it wasn't. And um, I
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: predicted that the Suns would sweep uh Dallas. Dad ain't
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: have him? No? And uh whatno? Or did I predict
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: golden statements gonna sweep Memphis? I predicted one of those.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I think you did, say God, but yeah, that's what
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: it was. But they won, but they didn't sweep. Uh.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: So now I don't. I don't know, man, I don't really.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Boston is shocking. See. I can't stand Boston every since
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: in the seventies when they turned that school but so
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: with their black kids on it. I hated Boston every since.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: That wasn't a team though it's the city. I don't
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: give it. Who did it? If you got Boston in
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: your name, I want you to lose the only time
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: my child for Boston was when Kevin Garne that Paul
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Pierce and reality. I wanted them to get a ring,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: so I was the only time I was happy Boston one.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: I went right on back of hating them after they level,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: but now because of Tatum and them boys, they nasty.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: But that damn Jimmy Brown and he wrote they ain't scared. No, man,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: I ain't really got no dog in that fight. But
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: I know out West, I can't see them whipping Golden State,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: but I couldn't see the Dallas Maverick twipping all Phoenix either, soul.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I'm going with all. I'm going with Golden State, them
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Splash Brothers plus Pool is balling now sober, Yeah, don't.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I don't know who's gonna come out to Eastman because
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I like Boston. But that dog on my ammy boy, Well,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: we're gonna see DA's gonna surprise y'all. I think, Yeah,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I don't nothing these damn surprises. Raymond Green, Well, we
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: own in Dallas and we not own, you know, Golden States,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: So yeah, I should pull up with Dallas. Yeah right now,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I really got no dog in the fiber hill. Go MAVs. Yeah,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: let's go. Dallas's get coming up at the top of
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the hour, We'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: In a video gone viral, did you all see the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: nine year old little boy? This was a little white
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: boy nine years old went up to the home of
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: a black family banged on the door with the whip
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: at the home of this black little girl. He was
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: trying to say that he wanted to whip the little
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: black girl. Now. This happened in Dallas, Texas, Coughing County
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: near Dallas, Texas. The mother of the little black girl
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: opened the door, told a little boy to get away
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: from her door. Then the father of the little black
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: girl went over to the white boy's house to try
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: to talk to his father. A gun went off to
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: just take a listen, you're the boy. You gotta get
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: your ans from off my porch. Beating on my door
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: like see, I will call the police. You need to leave.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Don't you ever beat on my door like that? Go okay,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: All we want to do is just talk to you.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Said boy, you want that's the problem. You and your
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: kids want to play. Your son came down so violent.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Opp bring please, you have a gun come up on
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: my side of you side without the garden. I've already
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: come out, Come on left, do it, nobody. Oh my god,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I'm oh my god. Okay, okay, So Carla, whose gun
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: went off? Whose gun is it? The white man's gun,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: the boy's father, because the black guy, the father of
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: the black girl, went to his house because the little
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: black the little white kid showed up at his house
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: with a whip in his hand asking for the little
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: black girl. And when the little white boy left the
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: house of the black girl the whip, he used the
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: whip to scratch her car. The mother. Yeah, so that's
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: why she's talking about the scratch on the car, and
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: that the neighbor's camera has cottage of the little boy
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: doing that as well. So it's just I don't know,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: it's just it's so what is case said? You need
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: to know the white father went to jail because it
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: was his gun that went off. Yeah, he didn't, he
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: didn't shoot it. It went off, the gun went off,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: so he had it out, Yeah, he had it out. Yeah,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: the black father just went over there to talk to him.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: The white guy told him to get off his property.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: This is a mess, and it's an ongoing story. So
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: you know, we'll have to keep our eye on it.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: But the point is is that you know what is
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: going on as we child can do this your boy thing.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: He can go knock on the door with a whip,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: with a whip with where what is being taught is
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: See that's a that's a talk behavior, Thank you, it
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: is it is. But you gotta whip in your hand,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: and you're going over there for whatever this little black
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: girl did. If you show up at my house with
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: just whip in your hand, I'm gonna take all the
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: simalit sim symbolism of racism and all that into consideration. Yea,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: and uh, I'm gonna go over there and snatch a
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: natural ass not in your dad. Well, I'm you know,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna go over there and talk like the brother did.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: If you whip my daughter, it's a whole nother piece
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: of activity. So let's just be grateful that didn't happen.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: But I think the brother went over there to talk
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: and the guy had a gun, you know, because but
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: he didn't believe that he wouldn't even listen to Regardless,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: if a black man comes up to the house, you
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: gotta get your gun. Dog. You know, everybody got a whipon.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Your son, got a whip, You got a gun. That's
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: that's that's at the house where your hand's at. You know,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: you can come out on the porch. Were just gonna talk.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: But your first reaction is let me get my gun
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: to protect myself. That's the problem. But we're not. That's
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: a whole nother second Amendment that's not going to change,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: and so they're not gonna get rid of that. You know,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: it could have could he could have killed he could
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: have killed somebody in his house. Yeah, yeah, he had
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: have killed someone in his house. I mean, but he
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: has been arrested. The white father, right that whose gun
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: went off? That's what I heard. His gun went off. Yeah,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: but we'll keep our eye on this story. It's gone by.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Trust me, he out man. They don't get down staying alone.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Trust me, he out. Yeah. All right, we're gonna move on.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: you're listening to say Morning Show and trending art news.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: The Sugar Shack, you know, the dance hall painting made
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: famous for appearing in the credits of the UH sitcom
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: good times. Remember that recently sold at an auction for
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: a record breaking get this amount fifteen point two million dollars. Okay,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: that's according to innocon dot com. Yeah, that's a lot
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: of money over Ernie Barnes. Ernie Barnes. It's nineteen seventy
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: six acrylic on Candid's piece that's showing jubilant black dancers
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: in a club. Was It's also featured in the Evans
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: family apartment during the TV comedy s fifth and six
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: seasons and was used as and was used as a
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: cover of Marvin Gaye's hit single I Want You. The painter,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: the late Ernie Barnes painted The Sugar Shack from a
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: child away memory. Huh where did they say they got
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: the photo from depict the art from the original? I
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: was a yeah, they didn't say where they got it
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: from really, but it was at the auction. Yeah, got
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: no original? No, I know, I know, I know where
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: the original was hanging. Oh really, Steve, huh, I know
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: whose house it said? Or was asking? Yeah? Wow, yeah,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Well maybe there's some good pieces though. Ernie Barnes. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: but anyway, Ernie Barnes painted it from memory. The Sugar
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Shack from a childhood memory sneaking into the Durham Armory,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: a North Carolina venue that hosted segregated dance back in
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: the day. All right, coming up thirty three minutes after
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: the hour, will play another round of would you rather?
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to show? All right, guys,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: it is time for another round of would you rather?
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Would you rather be criticized or would you rather be ignored?
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I'm both of them? Yeah on this show? He do
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: you criticize and ignore? What that baby? You been ignoring me?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Says birth birth? Dang, He didn't even think about that
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: and just rolled off his tongue. And your birthday tomorrow time? Me?
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Where's your birthday? Yeah? You and you will be ignored
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: on his birthday, Steve, he will not get that birthday
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: on the radio and left about that. You know you
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: got kids in the family. Left him buy something. Would
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: you rather be able to read minds? Or would you
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: rather have X ray vision? I'm going with vision. Oh,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I've been wanting this since I was nine. And extra
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: glasses they sold in the comic book didn't never work close.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: We could look through clothes. No want I want your mind? Yeah,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I rather read mind yeah. You know. Hell, back in
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: the day, if I could have read your mind, I
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: knew if I was gonna see any clothes anyway. So
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I don't know why they came from two
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: births with one. If I can read your mind, I
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: know what I'm gonna see you neket anyway, So worried
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: with that go from there birth. Let me let me
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: change my answer to dinner. I won't save me a
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: lot of money. Yeah I would. I would have saved
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: a lot of money trying to have X ray vision
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: if I would have knew what you was thinking, I
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: ain't got to buy this dinner. Let me car my
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: ass home. Ain't anything to happen. Yeah, would you would
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: you rather remember everything you see everything you see, or
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: would you rather remember everything you hear that I do
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: all of that? Yeah you remember? Hut you had to
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: pick one. With hearing, I go see if I had
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: to remember everything I saw, everything I heard heard is learning,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: but seeing this vision. So I mean, that's a hard one, man,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: because I remembering what I saw, it's what the inspiration is.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: But remember what I heard is what I've learned. So
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I'm not gonna either or neither. I'm gonna lie to
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: you here. I'm gonna go with see him, but I'm
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: gonna member everything I hear it though. Here coming up
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: in forty nine minutes after the hour, our last break
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: of the day and some closing remarks from the one
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey right after this, you're listening to
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: show here we are, guys, our last break of the
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: day on this Tuesday. Yeah, on this Tuesday. Good thing
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: to Steve. You have some words of with some clos
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: you know, you know, I've been very fortunate in my
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: life that God has afforded me a lot of grace
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: and a lot of favor in my life. You know, Um,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: I work hard. I do understand that I put forth
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: a lot of effort because I do adhere to the
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: principle that if you plan on being successful, it's going
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: to require an all out, massive effort. It's going to
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: take everything you have. I thank God that I have
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: and willing to do mostly everything that was requested of
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: me in order to become successful. I'll just put it
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: that way. I'm pretty sure that's more coming. But so
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: far I've tried to answer the bail and answer the call.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: But with that being said, my life is still filled
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: with a great amount of mercy and grace that God
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: has done for me almost the unthinkable. And the reason
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I say the unthinkable because oftentimes people say, hey, man, Steve,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: did you see yourself being here? And it kills me
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: when people say, y'all always imagine myself here? Well, how
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: how did you do that? How did you imagine something
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: that you didn't know was possible? Because what I've also
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: learned is if you can imagine it, it's possible. It
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: is impossible to think an impossible thought. That's impossible, you
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: know what I mean, It's impossible. How should I phrase this?
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Let me see, you can't have a thought that's not
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: doable or thinkable or attainable some ways, some shape or fashion,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: because everything we have in this world, somebody thought of it.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: I'm not phrasing it exactly the way I want to, because,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: as I do, most of my closing remarks is off
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: the top of my head. But I do know one
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: thing that if it has not been for God's grace
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: and mercy, I am not who I am today. I
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: am clear about that. Somebody sent me something the other
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: day that really touched me. He sent this to me,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: he said, God has a tendency of picking up a
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: nobody to become a somebody in front of everybody without
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: asking anybody. That it put tears in my eyes, and
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: I sent it to a few people that I knew
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: would understanding. Once again, he said, God has a tendency
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: of picking up a nobody to become a somebody in
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: front of everybody without asking anybody. And I'm telling you, man,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: if that ain't me, i just don't know what it was.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: What is because I was just a nobody that God,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: through his grace picked me up and turned me into somebody,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: and he did it in front of everybody, and he
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: didn't ask anybody. And I'm so glad he did. And
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: do you know something, man, we are all we are
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: all privy to that. But in order to be privy
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: to it, you gotta be willing to follow some instructions.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: And the instructions you followed kint J to be yours.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Your people say all the time, I'll do what i
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: want to do. I'm gonna live my life where I
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: could do how I want to do, when I want
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: to do it how I want to do it. That
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: ain't high work, man, Sorry, sorry, that's not the equation
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: to real success. That's not the equation. Because to whom
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: much is given, much is required. They are going to
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: be requirements along the way. You don't get it free.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: You just don't get it free. Man. I've often said,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: convenience is built through inconvenience. See, if you want to
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: have a convenient life, the only way to have a
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: convenient life, it is built through a series of inconvenient things.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: And when I tell you a series, i'm talking about
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: a life full of them. Don't sit up and think
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: you're just gonna have one or two, three or four
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: inconvenient moments to have an incredible life from convenience, because
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: that's not how it works. You are going to have
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: a series of inconveniences. You are going to be required
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: to lay in it way longer than you want to.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: You're gonna have to wallow in it way longer than
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: you want to. You're gonna have to deal with it
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: way longer than you want to deal with it. That's
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: what it is, man, that's the requirement. But in order
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: to have a life of convenience, it is built through inconvenience.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: And if you want your life to be convenient, you
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: got to deal with the inconveniences that come along with
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: getting convenient. Period. Sorry, this ain't no rule. Steve Harvey
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: came up with this is life man. You hear people
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: say it all the time. If it's successful, easy, everybody
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: would have it. That's the truth. So if you're not
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: willing to be inconvenienced, and you don't like being inconvenienced,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: then you can get off wanting the convenience because it
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: requires the inconvenience to get the convenience. I'm sorry to
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: tell you that, but I'm also happy to tell you that,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: so it could clear up any confusion that you might
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: be having. Oh why am I going through this old
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: woe is me? Because it ain't just old woe is you.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: It's old wos everybody that wants a life of convenience.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: You have got to deal with the inconvenience. And in closing,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I just want to say this. God has a tendency
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: of picking up a nobody to become a somebody in
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: front of everybody without asking anybody. That your church say
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: a man. Most of my closing remarks, hey y'all talk
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: to God. He loved to hear from you. That's for real,
