- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit on giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the million things, and it's tough. Good it together for
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join me. You gotta turn you're going to do?
- 1:17Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn. You haven't
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out to turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your bad huh, I sure
- 2:02Speaker 1: will A good morning everybody. Y' all listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey's
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man. If y'all only knew, I
- 2:15Speaker 1: think I'll tell it to you. This morning man started
- 2:18Speaker 1: off real crazy. But it's just those little mishaps where
- 2:23Speaker 1: we as people who are striving to be successful that
- 2:28Speaker 1: makes all the difference in the world. When you have
- 2:30Speaker 1: those little minor things that come up, you can't let
- 2:34Speaker 1: the minor things stop you. You've got to keep pressing forward. Now,
- 2:39Speaker 1: Could I have played the role of where is my car?
- 2:42Speaker 1: Where is my car? Oh? Where is my car? Instead
- 2:47Speaker 1: of hustling and grab a cab? So what am I?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Am I above a cab ride? Now? Or do I
- 2:55Speaker 1: have to look at the bigger picture and say okay,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I could act like a little spoiled brat sometimes type
- 3:00Speaker 1: of star and go I don't ride in cabs, or
- 3:02Speaker 1: where's my car? And then go to blaming people for
- 3:05Speaker 1: not having a car, or do I make the adjustments
- 3:07Speaker 1: because ain't like I ain't been in a cab before
- 3:09Speaker 1: now slow down. Ain't like I ain't never been in
- 3:11Speaker 1: a beat up car before. Slow down. Ain't ever like
- 3:15Speaker 1: I ain't never had a cab and roll the bus
- 3:18Speaker 1: before slow down. Ain't like I ain't never been homeless before,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and ain't have nowhere to go? Slow down. So in
- 3:26Speaker 1: those moments right there, always remember where you come from,
- 3:30Speaker 1: but even more importantly, always remember where you're trying to go,
- 3:34Speaker 1: because it's important for me that I get here as
- 3:37Speaker 1: many mornings as I possibly can. It's important because that's
- 3:41Speaker 1: the goal. And so many people allowed a minor things
- 3:44Speaker 1: to stop them on their road to success. And I'm
- 3:47Speaker 1: giving you this example today not to say hey, look
- 3:50Speaker 1: at me, but to say to you, hey, listening to me.
- 3:53Speaker 1: They are going to be a lot of things that's
- 3:55Speaker 1: gonna happen along your way to being successful. And if
- 3:58Speaker 1: you allow the small things to stop you, there's no
- 4:00Speaker 1: way you'll make it. You've got to always press forward
- 4:03Speaker 1: and stop looking at the situation for what it is
- 4:05Speaker 1: and look. Sometimes you have to take your offer right
- 4:08Speaker 1: now and put your eye into future. You know, God
- 4:11Speaker 1: has blessed me in so many ways. I mean, what
- 4:13Speaker 1: can I say? You know, I ask God for the
- 4:15Speaker 1: syndicated show. He gives me a syndicated show. Now I
- 4:18Speaker 1: act like I don't want to come to it. Hold on, man,
- 4:20Speaker 1: slow down. Did not you ask for this? Do I
- 4:24Speaker 1: not realize that there are certain people, man, who look
- 4:26Speaker 1: forward to this message in the morning. I've heard it
- 4:30Speaker 1: from people, so from the hundreds that I've heard it for,
- 4:34Speaker 1: that could represent thousands for all I know. So if
- 4:38Speaker 1: I think somebody's counting on me, I gotta try to
- 4:40Speaker 1: get there and give something. So today I didn't have
- 4:43Speaker 1: any time at all to think about what I might say.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I just walked right in and the jingle was playing,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and so I decided to just tell you about my
- 4:51Speaker 1: day and maybe you can relate it to something you're
- 4:53Speaker 1: going through alone the way, because no matter who you are,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you're going to have some moments man, where things are
- 4:59Speaker 1: going to have And like I always tell my kids,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and I just had this conversation with my little girl.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It ain't that things ain't gonna happen. It's how you
- 5:07Speaker 1: handle what happens that matters. But it don't matter. It's
- 5:11Speaker 1: how you handle what happens that's the determining factor on
- 5:15Speaker 1: where you get in life and how soon you get
- 5:18Speaker 1: there and how long you stay there. That will always
- 5:21Speaker 1: be a mishap, something that's gonna throw you off. That
- 5:26Speaker 1: will always be something man that could deter you. That
- 5:30Speaker 1: will be something somewhere, man, that will make you doubt it.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Now that you know that's gonna happen, then let's talk
- 5:37Speaker 1: about how you handle what happens, because it's going to happen.
- 5:41Speaker 1: So now, what do you do as a person when
- 5:43Speaker 1: these moments come about in your life? How do you handle? Oh?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Woe is me? Oh? I guess it wasn't meant to be. Well.
- 5:51Speaker 1: If the Lord wanted me to have this, I'd have that.
- 5:55Speaker 1: How many deal how many times you hear people say that?
- 5:57Speaker 1: You know, man, it really irks me. Man, Stop using
- 6:00Speaker 1: God as your excuse. God ain't no excuse. God is
- 6:05Speaker 1: a reason. He's a reason why the good happens. He's
- 6:11Speaker 1: a reason. He's not an excuse. God don't have no
- 6:15Speaker 1: excuses in none of his scriptures or writings, not that
- 6:17Speaker 1: I've he just don't make excuses. I would have done this.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But you know there's a scripture that says the poor
- 6:25Speaker 1: will all shall always be amongst us. Why that's got
- 6:28Speaker 1: to be you. Yeah, he said the poor will always
- 6:31Speaker 1: be amongst us, because you know, everybody ain't gonna follow
- 6:34Speaker 1: the principles of success. But he also said he came
- 6:37Speaker 1: to give you life and give it to you more abundantly.
- 6:40Speaker 1: He said that too, But old, no, you don't want
- 6:42Speaker 1: to hear that because your life kind of trip it
- 6:44Speaker 1: out a little bit. So now what you do with it?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Now you twist it and you go to that one
- 6:49Speaker 1: little scripture that say, well, the poor shall always be
- 6:52Speaker 1: amongst us, Well, that's put in there because that's a
- 6:56Speaker 1: that's auggests in case. See, that's a just in case
- 6:59Speaker 1: y'all don't want to follow the scriptures. That's just in
- 7:03Speaker 1: case you don't understand that faith without works is dead.
- 7:07Speaker 1: That's just in case you have not because you ask not.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's just in case you don't believe in shall not doubt.
- 7:14Speaker 1: He got all that in there. But in case you
- 7:16Speaker 1: don't want to do that. There is a scripture that
- 7:19Speaker 1: tells you who don't happen if you don't do it,
- 7:21Speaker 1: And here it is the poor shall always be a monster.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But then you get that when they say, well, that's
- 7:26Speaker 1: I guess that's the lord's will, Lord's will, really, really,
- 7:30Speaker 1: really really, that's amazing. I just don't believe that about him.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I don't believe that God created your life to be
- 7:39Speaker 1: a life of misery. I think that we make decisions
- 7:44Speaker 1: along the way that cause us to have lives of misery.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But I really really just don't believe that God created
- 7:52Speaker 1: you for that. I've heard Nelson Mandela speak, and you know,
- 7:58Speaker 1: you gotta go wild. All those years in prison, Man,
- 8:03Speaker 1: what was it about? When you hear him speak, you
- 8:05Speaker 1: understand what it was about. He said he always knew
- 8:09Speaker 1: he would be free one day. Now, what he said
- 8:12Speaker 1: he never knew was he said he never knew that
- 8:15Speaker 1: he would be the president of that country. Oh my goodness,
- 8:21Speaker 1: what a long way around. But he could have sat
- 8:24Speaker 1: there and got involved in prison activities that wasn't up
- 8:28Speaker 1: to pawing things like that. And they said whenever young
- 8:32Speaker 1: inmates used to come in, he was telling the story
- 8:34Speaker 1: one time of how young inmates used to come into
- 8:37Speaker 1: the prison. They all sit around and talk to him
- 8:39Speaker 1: about what they were doing and how many kids they
- 8:41Speaker 1: had in their lives, and it helped them keep track
- 8:44Speaker 1: of the outside a little bit, and it kept a
- 8:46Speaker 1: sense of time for them, and it reminded me in
- 8:49Speaker 1: to talk about what they left behind, and it kept
- 8:51Speaker 1: them going because something was great on the other side.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Had he allowed that to stop him, had he allowed
- 9:00Speaker 1: the imprisonment, which is a pretty major deal. Oh, by
- 9:02Speaker 1: the way, then guess what he would have never been
- 9:05Speaker 1: to Nelson Mandela that we know to day, a martyr,
- 9:08Speaker 1: a leader, a great force. People want to go around him.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Even people that imprisoned him could not understand his staunch strength,
- 9:17Speaker 1: his faith, his unwavering commitment. They couldn't understand it. So
- 9:22Speaker 1: things are going to happen in your life, but it's
- 9:24Speaker 1: how you handle what happens doesn't matter. So keep pushing, y'all.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Don't let the little things get in the way, okay,
- 9:29Speaker 1: And if you just sometimes you just don't know. I
- 9:32Speaker 1: got in the cab thinking I wasn't gonna make it,
- 9:34Speaker 1: But at least let's go see. Let's try. I made it. Now.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Guess what that gives me another piece of information that
- 9:41Speaker 1: I have and all I had to see it again
- 9:44Speaker 1: to date. Guess what I said today? Man, Sometimes when
- 9:47Speaker 1: it looked like you aren't gonna make it, just go
- 9:49Speaker 1: ahead on anywhere. Now. I could still be back there
- 9:51Speaker 1: at the hotel time I wear my car, but I
- 9:53Speaker 1: got up in here made it. So Now what y'all
- 9:56Speaker 1: gonna do with it? Let's go. You're listening show, ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen. I got it for you. I got it
- 10:04Speaker 1: for you. If you've been waiting on the head it is.

- 15:57Speaker 1: You know, I gotta have a refrigerator to pound on
- 15:58Speaker 1: the food and stuff in the end in the kitchen
- 16:00Speaker 1: and whatnot? Refrigerator went out? Did the refrigerator went out?
- 16:05Speaker 1: Is that what happened? Yeah, it's very so did. I mean,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I haven't had it for quite some times, which you know,

- 17:48Speaker 1: paid for, but you're gonna tell me you don't and
- 17:49Speaker 1: you ain't gonna make it on my side of town. Well,

- 18:28Speaker 1: you spoke too. I told him yesterday I had to
- 18:31Speaker 1: have my work at one o'clock. I told him that,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I said that you gotta refrigerated your own time because
- 18:37Speaker 1: I gotta grass work. Well, I said, I didn't talk
- 18:42Speaker 1: to Ni more like I said, certainly not working today.
- 18:46Speaker 1: He's not. He's not in the day in charge. Well,
- 18:48Speaker 1: actually the lady name one that's actually in charge when
- 18:51Speaker 1: Larry leaves. But uh, I don't even know if I
- 18:53Speaker 1: saw mom. But but you reggive you one of y'all
- 18:59Speaker 1: doing over that. Now we're gonna have it there. I
- 19:04Speaker 1: took out my job, but y'all had a refrigerate here.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I'm here at home and now you called me back,
- 19:11Speaker 1: and so all I can tell you is we're gonna
- 19:13Speaker 1: be there tomorrow. Okay, I'm not gonna go back and forth.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You know, you know what you refrigerator. Sorry, y'all. You
- 19:22Speaker 1: take the refrigerator, so you stit there, refrigerator. I don't
- 19:27Speaker 1: want to know more. I'm gonna put this food in
- 19:29Speaker 1: my neighbor refrigerator and I'm gonna go give me another
- 19:31Speaker 1: from somewhere else because you playing around. I ain't got
- 19:33Speaker 1: time for your men, sir. I don't know if I
- 19:35Speaker 1: don't know if that's refundable. You know what you mean?
- 19:39Speaker 1: You don't that is refund When you got time, you're
- 19:41Speaker 1: gonna take my money and you're gonna tell me that
- 19:43Speaker 1: I can't have my money back and you can't get
- 19:45Speaker 1: my ffrigerated on your own time, sir. Listen, there's one
- 19:48Speaker 1: more thing I need to talk. I ain't to say
- 19:51Speaker 1: to me because okay, but I have one more thing
- 19:54Speaker 1: I need to tell you. Okay, are you listening? This
- 19:56Speaker 1: will probably help everything. This is nephew Timmy from the
- 19:59Speaker 1: Steve Hall Morning Show. You just got pranked by your wife.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You know what I'm gonna fix off, That's what I
- 20:13Speaker 1: want to put it. Don't you hate it when they
- 20:21Speaker 1: call and he got that window and they changed that window.
- 20:24Speaker 1: So you can't do anything between those hours because if
- 20:26Speaker 1: you leave, you know you're gonna miss it all right, right,
- 20:28Speaker 1: thank you, nephew. Coming up next, ask the CLO Chief
- 20:31Speaker 1: Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building for your love questions.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning
- 20:38Speaker 1: Show coming up at the top of the hour. And
- 20:41Speaker 1: entertainment news, Well, the view has suspended. Our girl would
- 20:45Speaker 1: be goldberg for two weeks for comments she made about
- 20:49Speaker 1: the Holocaust. Yeah, we'll talk about that, Plus an other
- 20:52Speaker 1: entertainment news. Yeah, Snoop's dog dog was missing. Stop Snoop's
- 20:57Speaker 1: dog was missing. He's back now though. And finally, in trending,
- 21:05Speaker 1: food nudes, get your coins together the big game. Food
- 21:08Speaker 1: prices are soaring. Okay, we'll talk about all of these
- 21:12Speaker 1: stories at the top of the hour, but right now
- 21:14Speaker 1: it's time for the Chief Love Officer to step in
- 21:17Speaker 1: for your love questions. Aaron and Bosire City says, I'm
- 21:20Speaker 1: a thirty three year old single woman and I have
- 21:22Speaker 1: a crush on my dad's friend and he likes me too,
- 21:26Speaker 1: the guy who is fifty five years old, same age
- 21:29Speaker 1: as my dad. My mother and father don't speak at all,
- 21:32Speaker 1: so when I asked my mom for advice, she told
- 21:34Speaker 1: me to go for it, so it would give my
- 21:36Speaker 1: father a heart attack. I don't want to upset my dad.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Should I ask for my dad's blessing? Or should his
- 21:42Speaker 1: friend ask him? Wow, she's going forward with this, Well,
- 21:47Speaker 1: let me explain something to you, his friend. That's gonna
- 21:50Speaker 1: be a hell of conversation. That's gonna be a hell
- 21:53Speaker 1: of conversation. Man, don't I have no idea how you
- 21:58Speaker 1: go to your friend and say, hey, man, look I
- 22:02Speaker 1: care about your daughter. Oh, thank you for it. No, No,
- 22:06Speaker 1: I care about it, and uh, I want to start
- 22:10Speaker 1: dating your daughter. You know, we might get work through this,
- 22:13Speaker 1: but it will be after this ass whipping though. That's yeah, yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 1: we might get work through it, but we're gonna suck
- 22:20Speaker 1: up because because you're my boy and you've been looking
- 22:23Speaker 1: at my daughter like that, Like that's a hard one. Yeah, yeah,
- 22:28Speaker 1: that's a hard one immediately though. Yeah, and I'm talking
- 22:32Speaker 1: about man, like what ye Y're all up in my
- 22:36Speaker 1: face just so you can be up in her face.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It's too it's too much, especially old black dudes. I'm
- 22:42Speaker 1: just telling you, man, we don't old white dudes. I don't.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I just don't know me. And that's gonna do that
- 22:50Speaker 1: when we are well, Hey, I wish you well, go
- 22:52Speaker 1: for it. Yeah, no, no, no, all right, I'm moving
- 22:59Speaker 1: on to a to Kennedy and Evanston. Kennedy writes, I'm
- 23:03Speaker 1: twenty nine and I've had an on and off again
- 23:06Speaker 1: relationship with a great guy. It's my fault that we
- 23:09Speaker 1: always break up because I have a lot of male
- 23:12Speaker 1: friends and it's hard for me to push them aside
- 23:14Speaker 1: because I'm in a relationship. I vibe better with males
- 23:17Speaker 1: than I do females. What does this Why does this
- 23:20Speaker 1: bother my man so much? Why? Because he knows what
- 23:24Speaker 1: your male friends won't the same thing he won't. He
- 23:29Speaker 1: know what your male friends are do I given the
- 23:31Speaker 1: opportunity because it's the same thing he did. He know
- 23:36Speaker 1: you ain't just attractive to him. That's why I bother
- 23:40Speaker 1: this hill And I've told y'all over and over this
- 23:44Speaker 1: don't work. But y'all don't believe Uncle Steve. So go
- 23:48Speaker 1: don't do like you won't to have all the male friends.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You won't and you ain't been to hand no man.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Now you got it, because your man is not going
- 23:59Speaker 1: to tolerate understand all the male friends. First of all,
- 24:03Speaker 1: you're talking to them when you could be talking to me.
- 24:07Speaker 1: You're on the phone laughing, keep kid and all this
- 24:09Speaker 1: is here with them, but you you ain't over here
- 24:12Speaker 1: laughing and keep kiding with me. And I know why
- 24:14Speaker 1: they're laughing. And keep kid because they'll do you if
- 24:18Speaker 1: given the opportunity, and if you keep playing with them,
- 24:22Speaker 1: they're gonna do you. Now, gonna tell you this, no
- 24:27Speaker 1: damn mode, hey man. A matter of fact, let's says
- 24:30Speaker 1: say this. Quit writing me. If you're in a relationship
- 24:34Speaker 1: committed and your relationship is struggling because of your same
- 24:39Speaker 1: sex friends or your opposite sex friends, don't write us
- 24:43Speaker 1: no damn more about this because I'm tired of telling
- 24:46Speaker 1: y'all what I've been telling you for years. And all
- 24:49Speaker 1: these little new ass people he own fashion. You can
- 24:52Speaker 1: have a male friend, all right, go ahead and get
- 24:54Speaker 1: you one. I'll tell you what. But hey better now,
- 24:57Speaker 1: won't you though, because you're gonna hear about it? All right?
- 25:02Speaker 1: You heard from the clo Nicky and oak Cliff as
- 25:07Speaker 1: we move on, says my mother and I fell out.
- 25:10Speaker 1: My mother and I NICKI old Cliff it word, Okay,
- 25:23Speaker 1: I was looking at your voice, I mean at your face.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I was like, all right, Nicki, Nicki, Nicki, Nicki in
- 25:29Speaker 1: an open cliff. Okay, my nikif too, says my mother
- 25:37Speaker 1: and I fell out because she owes me money for
- 25:40Speaker 1: a vacation we took over the holidays. She wanted to
- 25:42Speaker 1: go visit her sister, so I bought our plane ticket.
- 25:45Speaker 1: She has money, but she's always saving for a rainy day. Well,
- 25:50Speaker 1: it's raining on my end and I need my money,
- 25:52Speaker 1: she said. It's the least I can do for her,
- 25:54Speaker 1: after all she's done for me. I'm so irritated. Should
- 25:58Speaker 1: I count this as a total lawney? Well, you can
- 26:03Speaker 1: lose the money or lose the relationship with your mother.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Is it really that big a deal? Now your mother
- 26:09Speaker 1: saves money for a rainy day? Do you know who
- 26:12Speaker 1: she's saving the money for? Whose rainy day? For her
- 26:16Speaker 1: rainy day? Now you having a rainy day? But now
- 26:20Speaker 1: you're gonna fall out with your mama over airplane ticket?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Did you understand my mama had slapped me dead in
- 26:28Speaker 1: my mouth. I'm talking about nineteen years old, haul off
- 26:32Speaker 1: slapped me dead in my mouth. Do you know I
- 26:36Speaker 1: was over there the next day eating because my dad
- 26:42Speaker 1: had said, you know we have them dinner over here
- 26:43Speaker 1: in the house tomorrow. I can't tell my father I'm
- 26:46Speaker 1: mad at my MoMA. No Hardma didn't hit me before
- 26:51Speaker 1: man girl and woke up in white folks were standing
- 26:55Speaker 1: over me. I'm trying to tank. Why did you We
- 27:01Speaker 1: woke up at the doctor, woke up looking at machinery.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Can you hear me? All right? Moving on to Georgia
- 27:24Speaker 1: In Columbia, Georgia says, I've got a problem with the
- 27:27Speaker 1: man I'm thing on the side because he's always buying
- 27:30Speaker 1: the expensive gift and I don't have anywhere to keep
- 27:33Speaker 1: dashing gifts jewelry, shoes and clothes or his thing. And
- 27:37Speaker 1: my husband knows I don't make that kind of money.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Is it rude to ask my side dude for cash
- 27:42Speaker 1: instead not leaving him alone? I don't. That's not the situation, wow,
- 27:51Speaker 1: Not the lady you have and a man on the side.
- 27:59Speaker 1: And part of the reason why you still dealing with
- 28:02Speaker 1: this man on the side is not only cause of
- 28:06Speaker 1: what he'd do to you, it's also because of what
- 28:09Speaker 1: he'd do fund you. So now, no, I'm not gonna
- 28:13Speaker 1: help you. No, I'm not gonna tell you you're going
- 28:17Speaker 1: to offend him if you ask for just can you're
- 28:22Speaker 1: asking for can all right? Thank you? Turn on his
- 28:25Speaker 1: investment coming up and say at the top of the hour,
- 28:29Speaker 1: who will have some entertainment news for you? Right after
- 28:31Speaker 1: this you're listening to morning show. ABC has suspended Whoobee
- 28:39Speaker 1: Goldberg from the View for two weeks after us saying
- 28:43Speaker 1: she said that the Holocaust was not about race. Now
- 28:46Speaker 1: this is in a statement, ABC News President Kim Goodwin said,
- 28:50Speaker 1: effective immediately, I'm suspending Wooby for two weeks for her
- 28:53Speaker 1: wrong and hurtful comments. While Whoopee apologized, I've asked her
- 28:59Speaker 1: to take time to reflect and learn about the impact
- 29:02Speaker 1: of her comments. The entire ABC News organization stands in
- 29:05Speaker 1: solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family, and communities who
- 29:10Speaker 1: made the comments on Monday's episode of The View during
- 29:13Speaker 1: a discussion of a Tennessee school boards ban of Mouth,
- 29:17Speaker 1: a nonfiction graphic novel about cartoonists Art Spiegelman's father's experience
- 29:23Speaker 1: surviving the Holocaust. Let's be truthful, will be said. Let's
- 29:27Speaker 1: be truthful about it because the Holocaust isn't about race.
- 29:31Speaker 1: It's not about race, It's about man's inhumanity to man.
- 29:36Speaker 1: The comment was condemned by such Jewish organizations as the
- 29:39Speaker 1: Anti Defamation League and the US Holocaust Museum. So yeah,
- 29:44Speaker 1: I think what Whoopie was trying to say, but did
- 29:47Speaker 1: it the wrong way, because when you don't understand the
- 29:52Speaker 1: actual way that people feel about it, the Holocaust was
- 29:57Speaker 1: definitely against humanity against man. That definitely was Whoopie Goldberg
- 30:03Speaker 1: was using the terms in terms of race in like black, white, Asian.
- 30:08Speaker 1: She was probably trying to say it that way, that
- 30:11Speaker 1: it wasn't about you being an Asian or an African
- 30:16Speaker 1: or a Native American. And I think that's what she
- 30:21Speaker 1: was trying to say. The problem with this statement is,
- 30:25Speaker 1: and I love Whoopie Goldberg, man, She's always been a
- 30:28Speaker 1: stellar person to me, and I've never heard her say
- 30:32Speaker 1: it just and that's why she would apologize because I
- 30:34Speaker 1: think she was saying it wasn't about race in terms
- 30:37Speaker 1: of how you can look at a person and know
- 30:39Speaker 1: their race, you know, because you got right, but you
- 30:46Speaker 1: got race, creed, religion, and uh, that's probably where she
- 30:54Speaker 1: meant it. But you know, and I think, you know,
- 30:57Speaker 1: that's why it's just a suspension because I think that's
- 31:01Speaker 1: what she was trying to say. I don't know it
- 31:03Speaker 1: either way one way or the other. I'm just based
- 31:05Speaker 1: on what you just told me right here. But knowing
- 31:08Speaker 1: the Whoopie Goldberg that I know she gets it. She
- 31:13Speaker 1: gets it. Yeah, yeah, because her and I have had
- 31:17Speaker 1: a conversation because I do not understand any rift between
- 31:23Speaker 1: Blacks and Jews. I just don't understand any rift there
- 31:27Speaker 1: because if any two people should understand anybody, right, Yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 1: I would think those two groups. That's why I don't.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I wouldn't get a rift between African Americans and Native Americans. Yeah,
- 31:43Speaker 1: Whoopy said what she should have said, Steve, this is
- 31:46Speaker 1: what Whoopie said. I should have said. It is about both.
- 31:49Speaker 1: The Jewish people around the world have always had my
- 31:51Speaker 1: support and that will never waiver. I'm sorry for the
- 31:54Speaker 1: hurt I've caused. So she said it should have been
- 31:57Speaker 1: about man's in humanity to man, and she says it
- 32:01Speaker 1: should have been about both, but she did not say that,
- 32:04Speaker 1: but it was. It was. I mean, seriously, it was
- 32:08Speaker 1: one of the most inhumane things. Those two things, the
- 32:13Speaker 1: Holocaust and slavery. Jesus go to both of those museums
- 32:19Speaker 1: in Washington, DC. Go to both of those, and you
- 32:23Speaker 1: are devastated. I'm telling you, tom Me, those oh my
- 32:28Speaker 1: greatest atrocities against a people. But I've gotta tell you
- 32:35Speaker 1: something else too, though, man. And this is crazy because
- 32:38Speaker 1: Shirley turned me on to the series Yellowstone. She's been
- 32:42Speaker 1: telling me to watch Yellowstone. I finished all four seasons,
- 32:47Speaker 1: all right, because it's stop. That's all I do. I
- 32:52Speaker 1: don't watch it. Ain't no sports on TV yet. You know,
- 32:55Speaker 1: super Bowl ain't here. Yeah, you know. I watched the
- 32:57Speaker 1: games and I go back to Yellowstone. I don't like
- 33:00Speaker 1: basketball season too. After the All Star Game, so you know,
- 33:04Speaker 1: I got time Yellowstone. What they did to Native Americans,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I'm listened to me, man, And I put that up
- 33:20Speaker 1: there because I was never thinking about it. But the
- 33:22Speaker 1: atrocity against Africans, against Jews, and against Native Americans, Oh
- 33:31Speaker 1: my god, what they did to Native Americans. Man, it
- 33:36Speaker 1: was unthinkable what they've done and what they continued to do.
- 33:40Speaker 1: But what they continue to do to black people is
- 33:42Speaker 1: unthinkable too. I've never seen it. Man. This country has
- 33:48Speaker 1: done so many things to people. What did the guys
- 33:52Speaker 1: say on Yellowstone? He said, what is fair? The little
- 33:55Speaker 1: boy on Yellowstone? In the final episode. He said, but
- 33:58Speaker 1: that's not fair, because he was telling what happened to
- 34:01Speaker 1: the Native Americans. He said, what happened was he said,
- 34:06Speaker 1: he said, while they're not anymore buffalo, he said, because
- 34:10Speaker 1: they wanted to kill the buffalo. And so Kevin Constant,
- 34:14Speaker 1: he said, the little boy said why they want to
- 34:16Speaker 1: kill the buffalo? And he stopped and he said, here's
- 34:20Speaker 1: the truth. Because the Indians lived on the buffalo. They
- 34:26Speaker 1: followed the buffalo. The buffalo was their life blood. If
- 34:30Speaker 1: they got rid of the buffalo, they would get rid
- 34:33Speaker 1: of the Indian. So they would just send troops out
- 34:37Speaker 1: to just kill buffalo. Just kill him, kill him, kill him,
- 34:39Speaker 1: kill him, kill him, kill him, kill him, so that
- 34:42Speaker 1: the Indians wouldn't have a life blood. I'm sitting here
- 34:46Speaker 1: going listen to this. And the little boy said, that's
- 34:49Speaker 1: not fair. He said, you know what fair is when
- 34:53Speaker 1: a person does something to you and then you can't
- 34:57Speaker 1: do nothing about it and you have to just accepted.
- 35:01Speaker 1: He said, that's what fad is. I would I'll be damned,
- 35:05Speaker 1: And that's America's definition of fair. That's right, all right.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Steve's coming up at twenty minutes after the hour Bomb
- 35:14Speaker 1: threats at HBCUs. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 35:19Speaker 1: You're listening to show here we are in Black History Month,
- 35:24Speaker 1: and you got to ask the question, what's going on
- 35:27Speaker 1: a growing number of historically black colleges and universities have
- 35:31Speaker 1: had to lock down or postpone classes due to bomb threats.
- 35:36Speaker 1: At least thirteen HBCUs have reported bomb threats. It is scary,
- 35:40Speaker 1: it is horrifying. According to USA Today, there are calls
- 35:44Speaker 1: for federal law enforcement to investigate. Homeland Security is providing
- 35:48Speaker 1: President Biden with updates. I mean, this country, with these
- 35:53Speaker 1: constant racially violent threats is just unbelievable. Everywhere you go.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Our children can't go to school, they can't go to
- 35:59Speaker 1: the universities without being terrorized. And again, this is just
- 36:04Speaker 1: the beginning of Black History Month twenty twenty two. It's
- 36:11Speaker 1: it's the country we live in. It's the United States
- 36:15Speaker 1: of America. I mean, look, I was watching something online
- 36:21Speaker 1: the other day. I don't think it was on d
- 36:23Speaker 1: L side of somebody's side. There was a white guy
- 36:26Speaker 1: on there ranting and raving that white people are the
- 36:30Speaker 1: most discriminated against group of people in the world. And
- 36:36Speaker 1: that was his claim that was his rant. The moment
- 36:40Speaker 1: something happens to them, it's a catastrophe. But stuff can
- 36:47Speaker 1: happen to other people repeatedly, over and over and over
- 36:50Speaker 1: and nothing being said. If they get a moment, not all.
- 36:55Speaker 1: But if there are some whites who if they get
- 36:58Speaker 1: a moment to point a single incident that they can
- 37:02Speaker 1: say it's discrimination, Oh, here it comes. It's a national
- 37:06Speaker 1: atrocity affirmative action. Where they started saying you had to
- 37:11Speaker 1: hire a certain amount of black people. I've been on
- 37:14Speaker 1: a job interview where a guy told me, oh one.
- 37:18Speaker 1: As soon as I said down, he said, I'm just
- 37:20Speaker 1: I said, yeah, I'm here for the job interview. He said,
- 37:23Speaker 1: we feel our quota already. We don't have to hire
- 37:26Speaker 1: any more blacks. He told me that. Wow, in the seventies,
- 37:31Speaker 1: he told me that I got him. Walk my ass
- 37:33Speaker 1: right up out of that. We don't have to hire.
- 37:36Speaker 1: He didn't want to hear how it was best for
- 37:37Speaker 1: the job. I've been telling you right here, we have to.
- 37:40Speaker 1: We've dealt with church bombings. They come into our place
- 37:43Speaker 1: of religion. They had our schools bombing right now. They
- 37:47Speaker 1: got the Willie Lynch letter. After slavery, they found a
- 37:51Speaker 1: way now where if a black person can't show employment,
- 37:55Speaker 1: they get imprisoned right after slavery. So now they can
- 37:58Speaker 1: put you in these concentration and get free labor out
- 38:01Speaker 1: of you. Anyway, we didn't even pass the Voters Rights
- 38:05Speaker 1: Act this year. Happy Black History Month, man, miss me.
- 38:10Speaker 1: All right, coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 38:13Speaker 1: we're gonna switch gears and go to Steve's voicemail eight
- 38:16Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Right after this, you're listening
- 38:19Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Time now to check
- 38:24Speaker 1: Steve's voicemail, and if you would like to leave Steve
- 38:27Speaker 1: a voicemail, call eight seven seven twenty nine Steve and
- 38:30Speaker 1: you could hear your message on the radio. All right, Steve,
- 38:34Speaker 1: here we go. This is a call about men in
- 38:36Speaker 1: the relationship tie. My name is said Kayla william I'm
- 38:40Speaker 1: Tay three years old, calling in from our figures to
- 38:43Speaker 1: bad us. I'm listening to your guy's conversation right now
- 38:45Speaker 1: about men enclosure and it's not usually the woman is
- 38:50Speaker 1: the man. And I'm literally going through this like right now,
- 38:54Speaker 1: like where a guy came into my life with somebody
- 38:57Speaker 1: who I knew from high school. Trusted him out of nowhere.
- 39:00Speaker 1: He's just like guy that didn't gonna work. And I
- 39:04Speaker 1: want to go back to the point of did you
- 39:07Speaker 1: know that I was quote unquote too much when you
- 39:10Speaker 1: came into my life? Because mind you, a lot of
- 39:14Speaker 1: times men will set up this facade of women to
- 39:19Speaker 1: be attentive and women who will be supportive and listening,
- 39:23Speaker 1: and then once that woman started exercise and not support
- 39:27Speaker 1: now it's too much. Now you can't uphold it. It's like,
- 39:29Speaker 1: why are you showering me and candy talking to me
- 39:32Speaker 1: all this week? And then you play you don't want
- 39:35Speaker 1: a relationship, Just make it makes sense, that's all. Then
- 39:39Speaker 1: you got it so much. I hope you guys have
- 39:41Speaker 1: a last glorious day. Wow, very well said young lady. Here,
- 39:45Speaker 1: let me help you with this part right here. You
- 39:48Speaker 1: gotta understand, when you enter into a relationship with the man,
- 39:53Speaker 1: for the first two weeks, you're going to meet the
- 39:58Speaker 1: most attentive, best representative of himself you could possibly meet.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Most dudes have got the two week game mastered, what
- 40:10Speaker 1: to say, how to be because you can, as you
- 40:13Speaker 1: use the word facade, you can keep up a facade
- 40:16Speaker 1: for two weeks two weeks. It's two weeks is really good.
- 40:20Speaker 1: It's hard to do that over ninety day stretch. No,
- 40:23Speaker 1: it really is hard to pull that off over a
- 40:26Speaker 1: ninety day stretch. It's been done, but it's harder. And
- 40:30Speaker 1: so to protect yourselves women, before you give into this,
- 40:34Speaker 1: oh my god, this is too good to be true.
- 40:37Speaker 1: You have to develop the questions and the test to
- 40:40Speaker 1: find out early if it is too good to be true.
- 40:45Speaker 1: And that's why I created the ninety day rule. All right, Stephen,
- 40:48Speaker 1: we have another call from a woman about men being
- 40:51Speaker 1: the provider. I just heard you say, Steve, I got
- 40:54Speaker 1: to tell end that women wants security. When a man
- 40:57Speaker 1: meets a woman is game on. I'm really sick of
- 41:00Speaker 1: women who look for security and a man. The word
- 41:03Speaker 1: says God bless a child who has their own. No,
- 41:06Speaker 1: that's not in the word, but the saying goal, God
- 41:08Speaker 1: bless the child that has his her own. And also
- 41:11Speaker 1: the word does say if a man wants to eat,
- 41:14Speaker 1: he has to work. If a man don't work, he
- 41:15Speaker 1: don't eat. That goes for a one man. Also, I've
- 41:18Speaker 1: never looked for a man to be my security. God
- 41:21Speaker 1: has been my source. I just retired from my job.
- 41:24Speaker 1: After forty two years, God has blessed me to take
- 41:27Speaker 1: care of myself. I'm so sick and tired of women
- 41:29Speaker 1: who look to a man to take care of her.
- 41:32Speaker 1: What I want from a man is loyalty, love, understanding, communication.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I want to believe that I can believe in him
- 41:41Speaker 1: because I want to. I don't get with a man
- 41:43Speaker 1: because of what he can do for me. Never have,
- 41:45Speaker 1: never will never will. I love the Black Man. I
- 41:49Speaker 1: love you, Steve Harvey. Happy belated birthday, Hello to all
- 41:52Speaker 1: of your crew, Stay safe, be blessed by by You
- 41:54Speaker 1: know what. She made some valid points, but I want
- 41:57Speaker 1: to show her something. I stand by what I said
- 42:00Speaker 1: what a woman looks for. She's not arguing that point.
- 42:03Speaker 1: She's telling about her standpoint. What a woman looks for
- 42:05Speaker 1: in a man is security. But the things you describe
- 42:09Speaker 1: that you want are forms of security. Loyalty is security.
- 42:15Speaker 1: You want to be You want to know that your
- 42:17Speaker 1: heart is safe with him. You won't love. You want
- 42:20Speaker 1: to feel like you belong to somebody, like like you're
- 42:23Speaker 1: somebody somebody. You want a person that can communicate with you.
- 42:27Speaker 1: That's security. You want understanding, You want to believe in him,
- 42:32Speaker 1: that's security. System, and then you need to package that
- 42:36Speaker 1: up with when your chips is down, will he be there?
- 42:41Speaker 1: See y'all please stop that. Everybody looking for security Now,
- 42:47Speaker 1: I appreciate you. Your source is God and you've been
- 42:50Speaker 1: on your own for forty two years. What you said
- 42:53Speaker 1: and the whole thing you wanted a man, That's what
- 42:56Speaker 1: security is, baby, That's what it is. Women on security
- 43:00Speaker 1: and secure. Theres a lot of things and financial is
- 43:03Speaker 1: one over and financial is one over. Yeah, if you
- 43:07Speaker 1: want to leave a voicemail Force Steve call eight seven
- 43:09Speaker 1: seven twenty nine, Steve, you might hear your message on
- 43:11Speaker 1: the air. Coming up next a prank phone call with
- 43:14Speaker 1: the nephew. Right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 43:18Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 43:22Speaker 1: about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today
- 43:25Speaker 1: the subject caught on camera. Caught camera that in just
- 43:32Speaker 1: a little bit. But right now it is time for
- 43:34Speaker 1: the nephew and today's prank phone call, which you got
- 43:37Speaker 1: Force Navy. Well what you want? How you want? Well,
- 43:42Speaker 1: we know it's gonna be stupid, So hey, God that
- 43:45Speaker 1: how do you want it? How does it feel? Coming up?
- 43:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry the book a Tupac Book A Tupac Living
- 43:53Speaker 1: in the fast Lane. I'm for real, all right, we're
- 43:58Speaker 1: gonna turn to the Book of Ignorance. Verse five reads,
- 44:04Speaker 1: your baby got my baby's name. That is the Book
- 44:10Speaker 1: of Ignorance. Top to five, verse four junior it says,
- 44:14Speaker 1: your baby got my baby's name. All right, stay with
- 44:22Speaker 1: me if you would, cat dog, We're gonna run that.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Thank you. Hey man, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach
- 44:30Speaker 1: a Patricia. Patricia, Who is it? How you doing? Listen? Um,
- 44:35Speaker 1: my name is Floyd, Floyd. I want to give you
- 44:37Speaker 1: a call. Your your daughter, she all teens middle school? Right,
- 44:41Speaker 1: what's your name again, Floyd? Okay? What can I just
- 44:44Speaker 1: fight you? Well, like I said, your your your daughter,
- 44:47Speaker 1: she goes she do go to middle school, right, yeah, okay,
- 44:50Speaker 1: Now her name, her name is Dereka. Okay, Well, he's
- 44:55Speaker 1: something wrong. It's something no, no, no, not nothing wrong.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I mean, I don't mean the alarm you're like that.
- 45:00Speaker 1: But let me see. Well, here's the situation. My daughter
- 45:06Speaker 1: actually goes to middle school along along with with your daughter. Okay,
- 45:11Speaker 1: and and it's it's a bit of a problem that
- 45:14Speaker 1: that that has arisen that me and my wife just
- 45:16Speaker 1: found out about. Okay, some issues Derek and your baby
- 45:20Speaker 1: in in some kind of like trouble or something. No, no, no, no, no,
- 45:25Speaker 1: nothing like that. But I don't fool with nobody at
- 45:28Speaker 1: a school. She don't mess with nobody. She owned the
- 45:30Speaker 1: honor roll and everything. I don't have no problems out
- 45:33Speaker 1: of Dereka, right, okay, I no, call me, let me know.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Let me tell you, miss miss Patricia, what the problem is. See,
- 45:41Speaker 1: my daughter name is Dereka. Okay, so, and and it
- 45:46Speaker 1: just blew me and my wife away that it was
- 45:48Speaker 1: another Dereka that went to school. Okay, all right, I
- 45:53Speaker 1: don't know too many Derecas. That's a unique name. That's cute, okay,
- 45:57Speaker 1: right right, Well, here's the problem. And my wife actually,
- 46:01Speaker 1: you know, when it was time to name my child,
- 46:02Speaker 1: we thought we was really picking a name that nobody
- 46:06Speaker 1: would have a pick out for their daughter. And to
- 46:08Speaker 1: have another Dereca in the school. That blew us away.
- 46:11Speaker 1: And I guess the real reason why I'm trying to
- 46:14Speaker 1: call you, miss Patricia's see if if if there's something
- 46:17Speaker 1: maybe we can work out, you know, maybe uh like
- 46:20Speaker 1: your dead name or nickname. She can be called by
- 46:26Speaker 1: in opposed to both of them being Derek. You really
- 46:30Speaker 1: want our child to be the only one with this name? Okay, wait, wait,
- 46:33Speaker 1: wait wait now you calling me? Are you asking me
- 46:37Speaker 1: to change my baby's name? Well, I mean you you
- 46:39Speaker 1: ain't really got to legally change I mean, but just
- 46:41Speaker 1: start calling us something else, you know? No, No, wait
- 46:44Speaker 1: a minute, So what you naming police or something? Do
- 46:48Speaker 1: you know how many and Louis and Patricia's out there?
- 46:51Speaker 1: What if I asked everybody in the United States to
- 46:54Speaker 1: change their name from Patricia? You're crazy that it and
- 46:57Speaker 1: I understand that you must be all drugs. Not. What
- 47:00Speaker 1: I'm trying to say is you know this, This is
- 47:03Speaker 1: something that we really have. Our baby girl was this
- 47:05Speaker 1: name and we didn't want nobody else to have this.
- 47:07Speaker 1: So does your Dereka have a middle name? She can? You? No,
- 47:11Speaker 1: we're gonna call her Dereka like we've been calling your name,
- 47:13Speaker 1: your baby d D. Let's call your baby d D.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Did you change y'all? Y'all change y'all baby name at
- 47:19Speaker 1: the school? I'm not calling I'm not calling my name.
- 47:22Speaker 1: I don't give me what you call it, but I'm
- 47:23Speaker 1: not changing my baby name. He looks. Okay. Look, I'm
- 47:26Speaker 1: trying to call you and handle us like adults, you know,
- 47:29Speaker 1: but you've seen to see you're gonna push my fund
- 47:31Speaker 1: to take me to another level. Honestly, you ain't calling
- 47:33Speaker 1: me trying to handle us. He does ask me to
- 47:35Speaker 1: change my baby name, call my baby something else at
- 47:38Speaker 1: the school because y'all want your baby name to be
- 47:40Speaker 1: Derek and the only Dereka in the school. Hey, you
- 47:43Speaker 1: have many other kids at the damn school got the
- 47:45Speaker 1: same name. I understand that, but from my baby girls,
- 47:49Speaker 1: it ain't schools to be like that. I'm sorry, I'm
- 47:52Speaker 1: fooluping that baby girl and your wife, but you know
- 47:55Speaker 1: I'm not changing my baby damn name. Y'all call y'all
- 47:58Speaker 1: baby d No. And I'm trying to do is get
- 48:01Speaker 1: it rectified that we can call you get my phone number.
- 48:04Speaker 1: I'm not a school. Ain't you my number? I got
- 48:08Speaker 1: your number. Don't worry about how I got it. The
- 48:09Speaker 1: problem is that what we're talking about right now. If
- 48:12Speaker 1: call we what can we start calling your child? I
- 48:14Speaker 1: don't give it. I know that school ain't called number. Listen, man,
- 48:19Speaker 1: all I'm trying to do is thig out what can
- 48:21Speaker 1: we start calling your daughter, don't the cuts she's been doing.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Call you and your wife down. Need to go out
- 48:27Speaker 1: to the statistics office and get chill there. Of the name,
- 48:31Speaker 1: I kind you have to sum out the kind of
- 48:33Speaker 1: name beha. But my days keep the same day on name.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you. I've been trying to
- 48:38Speaker 1: be calm with you. Nor shall put if you anna
- 48:41Speaker 1: find something else to call on, and I'm gonna go,
- 48:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna get all over you know number? How do
- 48:45Speaker 1: you get my n Don't worry about how I got
- 48:48Speaker 1: the number. Listen to what I'm trying to tell you.
- 48:50Speaker 1: If you don't find another name, I'm gonna start getting
- 48:53Speaker 1: the kids to call your daughter something else. You're just
- 48:55Speaker 1: going to call my daddy starting I trot to I'm
- 48:58Speaker 1: with an embody who called my buddy stop. Next, you're

- 53:01Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it forty
- 53:04Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. Subject caught on camera. Dear
- 53:09Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I'm a forty two year old married woman,
- 53:12Speaker 1: but I've separated from my husband. I've been married four
- 53:16Speaker 1: years and I was in a long distance marriage because
- 53:18Speaker 1: my husband works almost three hours away. He was offered
- 53:22Speaker 1: a job that he couldn't refuse, so I told him
- 53:24Speaker 1: to take it with him being out of town during
- 53:28Speaker 1: the week. I got a home security system installed with
- 53:31Speaker 1: four cameras. I put one camera in the basement and
- 53:34Speaker 1: one in the main living area, one at the back door,
- 53:37Speaker 1: and one at the front door. I put the alarm
- 53:40Speaker 1: app on my phone so I could watch the cameras
- 53:43Speaker 1: while I was at work. On a Tuesday, about a
- 53:47Speaker 1: month ago, I was at work and I got an
- 53:49Speaker 1: alert that the alarm was going off. Then it was reset.
- 53:54Speaker 1: It sent chills up my spine because I was the
- 53:56Speaker 1: only one in town and the only person that could
- 53:59Speaker 1: have reset my alarm. I looked at the cameras and
- 54:03Speaker 1: I saw my husband in our basement and a woman
- 54:07Speaker 1: was with him. The woman sat down as my husband
- 54:11Speaker 1: went upstairs. He came back minutes later with his garment bag.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Then he kissed the woman and they walked out the
- 54:19Speaker 1: basement door. I called him, and he lied and said
- 54:22Speaker 1: he was at work and about to go to lunch
- 54:24Speaker 1: and he would call me back. I told him to
- 54:27Speaker 1: quit lying because I know he's in town and he
- 54:31Speaker 1: had a woman in our house. I asked him why
- 54:33Speaker 1: he didn't tell me he was in town, and why
- 54:35Speaker 1: he would bring a woman into my house. He hung
- 54:38Speaker 1: up on me. That night, he called and said he
- 54:42Speaker 1: had a business event to attend, so he needed his tucks,
- 54:45Speaker 1: and he used the basement door out of respect for
- 54:48Speaker 1: me so the woman wouldn't be all over our home.
- 54:53Speaker 1: He said he was going to take some time away
- 54:56Speaker 1: from me to work on himself. It has been almost
- 54:59Speaker 1: a month since he's reached out to me, so I
- 55:02Speaker 1: filed for a legal separation. Still no word from him.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Is my marriage over? Yes? I'm sorry, but it is.
- 55:12Speaker 1: It's over. I mean he was caught red handed on tape. Period.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Everything you saw in that camera was true and real,
- 55:21Speaker 1: no matter what lies He thought of later and told
- 55:25Speaker 1: you he had a dinner to go to so he
- 55:28Speaker 1: needed a text. He had a business event to attend,
- 55:31Speaker 1: so he needed a tech, and he didn't want the
- 55:33Speaker 1: woman all over your house. Lies. Lies, lies, lies, lies.
- 55:38Speaker 1: It's evidence clearly in his behavior that you saw on tape,
- 55:42Speaker 1: not what he says, So don't let him play you.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Do not be fooled. He came back to town. He
- 55:47Speaker 1: didn't tell you, brought another woman to your house, kissed
- 55:50Speaker 1: her in your house, and then they left out together.
- 55:53Speaker 1: You're his wife. He completely disrespected you. He betrayed your trust.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sorry you had to see this and
- 55:59Speaker 1: that you had to go through this. He's wrong. You
- 56:02Speaker 1: did a good thing by filing for a separation. I say,
- 56:04Speaker 1: just go on and finish up the deal, file for
- 56:08Speaker 1: a divorce. He was hardly ever there anyway, and he's
- 56:11Speaker 1: not coming back. You haven't heard from him for a month,
- 56:13Speaker 1: So I say, good out now, Steve. I really don't
- 56:17Speaker 1: understand this letter. I'm sorry. I don't caught on camera
- 56:20Speaker 1: to what we're talking about. Yeah, what's what's the letter for?
- 56:26Speaker 1: It starts off with I via stuff in it to me,
- 56:29Speaker 1: Stephen Sherley. I'm a forty two year old married woman,
- 56:32Speaker 1: but I'm separated from my husband. Now. Curiously, in this letter,
- 56:37Speaker 1: she never said why she was separated from her husband.
- 56:41Speaker 1: But I'm separated from my husband. We all know what
- 56:45Speaker 1: that means. And then she says I've been married four years.
- 56:48Speaker 1: It was and I was in I was, so this
- 56:53Speaker 1: separation is what they've decided. I was in a long
- 56:58Speaker 1: distance marriage because my husban husband works almost three hours
- 57:02Speaker 1: away and he was offered a job he couldn't refuse,
- 57:04Speaker 1: so I told him to take it now, with him
- 57:07Speaker 1: being out of town, doing the weakest woman to put
- 57:09Speaker 1: a camera system in the house in the basement, the
- 57:11Speaker 1: front door, the back, doing all this hill and now
- 57:15Speaker 1: while he was at work on Tuesday, about a month ago,
- 57:19Speaker 1: she ain't got an alert on the lawn was going off.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Then it was reset, As she said, send chills up
- 57:26Speaker 1: her spine because I was the only one in town
- 57:28Speaker 1: and the only person that could have reset my alarm,
- 57:31Speaker 1: where you're not the only person that could reset the
- 57:33Speaker 1: alarm because he got reset. I looked at the cameras
- 57:37Speaker 1: and I saw my husband in our basement and a
- 57:40Speaker 1: woman was with him. The woman sat down as my
- 57:43Speaker 1: husband went up stairs. He came back minutes later with
- 57:46Speaker 1: this garment bag. Then he kissed the woman and they
- 57:48Speaker 1: walked out the basement door. I called him, and he
- 57:51Speaker 1: lied and said he was at work and about to
- 57:54Speaker 1: go to lunch and he would call me back. That
- 57:57Speaker 1: was the lie he told. That was the only lie
- 58:02Speaker 1: he told in this letter shell. Because I'm going to
- 58:05Speaker 1: surprise you. I'm going to surprise you, Shell. I told
- 58:09Speaker 1: him to quit Lyne because I know he was in town.
- 58:11Speaker 1: He had a woman in our house, and I asked
- 58:13Speaker 1: him why he didn't tell me he was in town
- 58:15Speaker 1: and why he would bring a woman into the house.
- 58:17Speaker 1: He hung up on me. That night, he called me
- 58:19Speaker 1: and said he had a business event to attend, so
- 58:22Speaker 1: he needed his tucks and he used the basement due
- 58:24Speaker 1: out of respect for me, so the woman wouldn't be
- 58:27Speaker 1: all over the house. He said he was gonna take
- 58:29Speaker 1: some time away for me to work for himself. It's
- 58:31Speaker 1: been almost a month since he reached out to me,
- 58:33Speaker 1: so I filed for divorce. Still no word of him,
- 58:35Speaker 1: and as my marriage over legation. Yeah, she filed for
- 58:39Speaker 1: legal separation. Shirley, you were saying that he lied about
- 58:44Speaker 1: coming home with the tucks and all like this like him, Well,
- 58:49Speaker 1: he was on camera. He never denied that after he
- 58:53Speaker 1: found out he was on camera. But the reason he
- 58:57Speaker 1: came in the house could have very well been true.
- 59:00Speaker 1: To get the tuxedough, No, that's really going because all
- 59:05Speaker 1: they did was kissing, go out the dope. It could
- 59:08Speaker 1: have been a tuxedo. It could have been a business meeting.
- 59:11Speaker 1: He told her the truth. The problem is the truth
- 59:15Speaker 1: wasn't enough. Yeah, the fact I mightn't even tell her
- 59:18Speaker 1: he was in town. Oh I got more. Okay, all right,
- 59:22Speaker 1: we'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 59:24Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Subject of today's strawberry
- 59:28Speaker 1: letter caught on camera. We'll get back into it right
- 59:31Speaker 1: after this. You're listening show, All right, Come on, Steve,
- 59:36Speaker 1: Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is caught on camera.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Caught on camera, says it all. This woman put all
- 59:44Speaker 1: these cameras in her house. Her and her husband are
- 59:47Speaker 1: currently separated. She gets an alert on her phone that
- 59:51Speaker 1: says the candle alarm has been reset. Well, she's thinking
- 59:55Speaker 1: her husband out of town, but he's in town. She
- 59:58Speaker 1: looked on the cameras. He in the basement with a woman.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: She calls him. He kisses her and walks out with
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: a garden back. He calls her and asked where he
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: had He say he at work, fit to go to lunch.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: He lied, he lied, So she called him up and said, no,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: you wasn't. I saw you in the house with this
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: woman and you kissed her. Click. He hung up he
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: hung up because he was off balanced, because he needed
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to regroup. So he's busted. Yes, So now he calls
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: back that night and said, all right, hit the deal.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: I was in town. I had a business meeting to
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: go to, so I needed to come home and get
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: my tux seed though, and out of respect for you,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I didn't want this woman all over the house, so
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I came through the basement. Though. That's the truth, because
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: he wasn't denying that there wasn't a woman at the house.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: He wasn't denying he didn't picks up. He only left
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: with a garment bag that was probably the tuxedough and
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: it was probably business me. He did not lie to her.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: The problem is the truth. You should believe the truth.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: You saw it. Shirley's right. This marriage is over. Is
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: my marriage over? And you haven't heard from him in
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: a month, but I bet she has. Oh yeah, hell yeah,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: he's wrong, Dad. Wrong. Is not her fault in any way.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: But now that you know the truth, what you're gonna do.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: It's time to move on. Is my marriage over? Yes,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: it's over. So let me show you something. This has
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: nothing to do with the letter Shirley or calling anybody
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: ask me a question, and I'm gonna show you how
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: to lie. The sheer lying capability. Watch watch the quickness
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and creativity. Okay, Shirley, you and I are in a relationship.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Ask me anything, and I'm not gonna tell you the truth.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I don't care how simple anything it is. Go ahead
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: on your hair. That No, that's a patch right there.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I had that put on. I was trying on a
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: half piece and I left some glue on it. And
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: that's the glue from that hals from blue Quick where
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: it come so natural to you? Next question, we're in
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: a relationship. Did you did you drive your car to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: work today? No? I drove it, parted away and then
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: I dropped it off at the Jiffy lou And and
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: then I took I took a ubon in the work
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: and I just go back around now and are you
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Are you planning on working out today? I'd love to
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: work out with you. Oh no, I ain't gonna be
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: able to work out today because I tweaked my back
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: because when I was leaving the Jiffy Jiffy Lube, I
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: slipped in some all tied boy tied in that's what happening.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: That's you know, and it's so unnecessary. You will lie
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: when the truth will do? What? What? What? What? What? Why? Not?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: But why can't you just tell the truth because you
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: had to practice this in case you really need it.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: We can handle the truth. Oh no, you can't the
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: way we handle Oh no, you can't. If you can't
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: handle our reaction to your truth, you're a lie. Couldn't read?
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Can I ask that? What is? Yeah? Oh? Here you
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: call them? Who is that on the camera with you? I?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Who is that on? Who is that on the camera
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: with me? Yeah? I'm talking to you. Who is that
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: on the camera with you? Baby? What camera? The camera
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: that I'm looking at? Who is that on the camera
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: with you? Right? Fair? Wait a minute? Wait? Where do
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: you think I am? What? Shall any more questions? When
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: a committed relationship, you can ask me anything? What is
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: the point of lying? Though? I don't get why is
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: it so important to you? But but but but wait, minuto,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Why I got to lie?
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Ask yourself that I ask you why? I know why
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: you like to distract? Why I got to lie? Though? Reaction?
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Let's see right there? See how you are okay, you
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: see how you try to flip it don't try to
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: if you're going to accuse me of doing I am
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: and I am and I'm not doing it, and you're
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: gonna accuse me anyway, You got as where from the
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: back of your head. All right, listen, I'm gonna say, hey,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna spend some time with myself and you need
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: the divorce Hiper. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letters

- 1:06:16Speaker 1: are you famla. No, I'm not, but I'm familiar with
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: talking about crushes out loud on the radio. Okay, I
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: do it all the time. It's just a crush. I
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: can't she didn't want me? Yeah yeah, Bell Hold up though,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: but did you hear Tommy say he do it all
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: the time? Yeah? See how that sounds. Just that's throwing
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: that out there. Yeah, you know, you want to start
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: practicing some habits you get good at. Just start practicing
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: dogs yeahs in case, Yeah, I got you, I got you.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Man to that food, right, yeah, I said all the time. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: he just let that go. That ain't what Yeah, he
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: didn't even think about No, I didn't. He didn't think
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: about it all. Also, a man, super Bowl ten days away? Man,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: what is you gonna be doing for the super Bowl?
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: What kind of party you have? Like? How do you
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: have your super Bowl parties? Sit up? Well, I don't.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: I don't have a lot of friends, but I don't
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: have on my house. So you know, I'm gonna have
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: something at the house, like, you know, probably have my
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: sons come over, you know. Yeah, you barbecuewing for your
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: own super Bowl part? Do you do? You got you
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: got the equipment for I know you. Now, if it
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: was nice outside, that would be slick. Super Bowl party
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: outside with the TVs and cook out. Yeah, but I
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: don't know how the weather gonna be thirteen. Yeah, just
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: like winter. You got to start buying wings. Naw, do
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you have? Yeah, we gotta have wings. You. I'm gonna
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: call Rick Ross up. I'm probably gonna be I'm gonna
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: probably do thighs. Yeah, you got, you got, you got connections.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: You got to worry about wing. You know some of
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: these wing places. I've never been to Ross's wing place,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: so I ain't talking about that, but I've go to
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: some wing places and they wings be real, real, little
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: extra crunches don't be no better than a real big
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: though dog that's ready. That's better than being don't Yeah,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: are you saying they're not chicken? Wings? Animal? I don't
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: want to be confused with eating chicken or pigeons. You know,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: all right, Junior, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll talk about more sports. Former NFL
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: coach accuses the league of racial discrimination. We'll get into
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Morning Show. Okay, So Steve, what is the problem with
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: the NFL and not hiring black coaches. I'm sure you
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: have some ideas on that, and this is the league
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: that's dominated by black players. Of course, we all know
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: that now. Former Miami's Dolphin coach Brian Flores has filed
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: a proposed class action lawsuit against the NFL and three
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: of its teams, alleging racial discrimination. In the documents filed
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: on behalf of Flores in Manhattan Federal Court, the former coach,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: who was fired by the Dolphins despite a winning season,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: he that in mind too, it was a winning season,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: contends that his interview with the Giants was nothing more
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: than a move to satisfy the Rooney Rule, which now
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: requires teams to interview at least two external minority candidates
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: for all head coaching vacancies. Flora said that the league
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: is racially segregated and the NFL is managed like a
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: plantation boom. I mean, he goes on to say stuff
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: about the the owners sitting in their luxury suites on
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: days and the players get have to take vicious hits
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: and suffer debilitating injuries to their bodies and their brains,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: while the owners make billions of dollars. Uh, there's a lot. Well,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the NFL has a problem now because it's a class
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: action lawsuit and it has to be addressed. You can't
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: you can't just shoot this under the rug. The other
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: problem is that maybe some other people that's gonna come
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: out the wood working sign up for this. Brian Flores
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: will never coach in the NFL again. But because because no,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: because of the brother. Let me ask you a question.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Have you seen Colin Kaepernick throw another pass in the NFL? Dog?
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Once you go up against that shield, you're finished. Now.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: They paid Colin, and Floren's gonna get he gonna get paid.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: But it's gonna be some years though, and they're gonna
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: wait until this ain't a major story anymore. But you
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: know what, man, I should post my comedy routine I
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: wrote for NFL Honors because I wrote a huge joke
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: about this, because I decided two years ago to dress
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: it with human and I cut a deal with the
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: NFL on behalf of the black players. And I was
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I was cutting deals with them, like, you know, just
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: give us certain things, man, and we'll be willing to
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: exchange it for y'all. Like if you give us one
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: white place kicker and holder, because you've never seen that
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: in the NFL. We gonna give y'all two cornerbacks. And
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I wrote it as a joke, and the audience was
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: dying laughing, but it was to a rest the seriousness
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: of the issue that's in the NFL. It always has
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: been an issue and always will continue to be. Now,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: these owners are all white men, billionaires. We got that. Yeah,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: but I can't knock you for being that. I can't
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: knock you for owning a franchise. I can't knock you
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: for trying to run it as a business. The problem
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: is you're hiring practices. It doesn't represent your league, and
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: we're the only that's the only sport that doesn't represent
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: the makeup of the league. If you look at basketball,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: basketball does a lot better job of hiring black head
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: coaches and black coaches and to fit any thing. Hockey
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: don't have that problem. Coach well, yeah, yeah, it ain't.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: But a few black hockey players. Hockey don't have that problem.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Baseball has done a better job of hiring and representative
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: on the field. The football has not done a good job.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: In the Rooney rule where you have to hire two
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: minority candidates for every head coaching job has still not
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: resulted in any more coaches being high. As a matter
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: of fact, since the Rooney rule is less. I want
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: and it's just I want to believe this guy will coach.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I want to hope that he will coach again. In
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: oh Now, come on, part We'll have more of the
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening to Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:14:26Speaker 1: though my affinity is leaning towards Anthony Hamilton because of
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: our relationship. Yeah, y'all are cool. Yeah, but I love music.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Soulchilde hits Man. Yes, he nothing to be played with. Yes,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: I know. I don't really be torn on versus. We
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: know former Versus Battle host Ah good. We'll be watching
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: the R and B singers Anthony Hamilton's music Soul Child

- 1:15:03Speaker 1: the Super Bowl performers Mary Mary along with the Youth

- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Let me let me take a also, okay, go ahead, Shelly?
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: All right? We would you rather be rich but not
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: skilled at all in the bedroom at all? Or be
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: would you rather be smaller in size and really know
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: how to please your partner? That fits perfectly, so not
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: me that you pick. Hey, you'd rather be smaller inside
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: and really know how to please? Well, you know what
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I want to please my mate, and I know what
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: it takes to please my mate. And size is not everything.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: You know, it's not. It's not the size on the show.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: See to even make that comment when you hear a
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: man tell my size ain't everything. I ain't picking a
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: head no more, Come on you, alright, the next one.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: I just wanted to try that, all right? Would you
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: rather eat sweet potato pumpkin pie or a pickled pig
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: ear sandwich? White people's favorite, Black people's favorite. I'm going
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: I'm going with a together put it all together in
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: the world potato was you thinking about what? Or a
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: pickled pig ear sandwich? No, don't eat that sweet potato
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: pump I'm hot before. Yeah, I've had a pig that
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: sandwich before God and we put that hell for what
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: was we thanking? What was we thank this damn slave?
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: And saying, oh man, all right, all right, that's it
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: for would you rather today? Coming on? Yeah? Yeah, it's
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and then we'll have
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. Here
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: we are, guys, our last break of the day on
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: this Thursday. It's been a good day, yes, man. Yeah,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: learned a lot, shared a lot, laughed a little bit,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: you know. Um, you know it's kind of funny. Man.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: As I've gotten older, you know, somebody works in me
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: was saying, man, you keep talking about this sixty fifth birthday?
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: What's up with that? And I was just because I'm
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: just so appreciative of the milestone, you know, because it's
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: just like it's not like I didn't see it coming
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: or I didn't believe I'd get here. It's just that
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I remember being younger thinking sixty five was I couldn't
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: even imagine it. I couldn't even think about it because
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: it just seemed so far. I was twenty, I was think,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: sixty five, what are we talking about that for but
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: you know what it got here? Do you know when
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: I was forty, man, I was giving very little thought
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: to being sixty five, But you know what it got here?
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I was fifty. I really hadn't given too much thought
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: to being sixty five, but it got here. Y'all. You
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: gotta start making decisions today based on the fact that
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: it's coming, that it's going to get here. You know what,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: too many people do, too many too many people make
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: right now decisions based on today, like there's no future
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: at all. But listen to me, that's a strong possibility
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: that it will get here. And so even though we're
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: not to weary ourselves about the future, you do have
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: to give credence to the fact that one day it
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: could get here. And so you can't make decisions based
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: on jess right now today. On the other hand, let
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: me say this about that what makes it hard for
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: people to become successful is because they understand and they
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: allow this to come into play. I can't see myself
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: all the way through. You have an ambition to be
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: a millionaire, you just can't imagine how to make the million,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: and so that daunting task freezes most people from doing
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: the one action they could do, which is take the
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: step today. But if you're trying to see your way
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: all the way through, it freezes you because you don't
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: know how to get all the way through. There's a
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: story in this book, the Fox, the Hound, the horses
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: and the boy, something like anyway, this boy and this
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: horse is walking through the woods, and the boy says,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: I can't see I can't see all the way through,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: you know, because they had to walk through this force.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: And the boy told the horse, I can't see all
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: the way through. The horse said to the boy, look down.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Can you see your next step? He said, yeah, he said,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: take that one, Just take that one. That's what I've
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: learned in my life, y'all, that even though I didn't
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: really see sixty five, I would always take the step
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: to at least just get to tomorrow. I couldn't see
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: myself all the way through. I'm gonna be honest with you,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: the life that God has me with. I did not
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: see this coming, not fully. I wanted some things along
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: the way, but it's no way I saw this. He's
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: just been too good to me. He's been overly good
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: to me. That's how I know it's grace, because really, man,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: if you think about it, you know, stop thinking you
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: deserve something all the time, because you really don't, because
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: you deserved it. If we all got what we deserved,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: we'd all be in trouble, all of us, all of you.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: I don't care how righteous you think you are, own,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: how saved you claimed you are, how holy ghost spilled
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: all this here. If we all got what we deserved,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: all of us would be in trouble because fate back
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: on some of the decisions that we made that could
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: have really really went the other way, and God, just
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: through his grace and mercy and favor, just didn't let
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: it go as far left as it could. He just
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: gave you a break. So stop thinking that you deserve
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: all that you have, because you don't. I've lived a life,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: I've tried to work out, eat, health and everything. But
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: me getting to sixty five was God's grace. And you
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: know how I knew it was because I know some
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: real healthy people that ain't here no more. I know
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: some people who could run faster than me, jump higher
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: than mere, stronger than me in the gym and everything,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: and they not hear no more. I know some men
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: who were in far better shape than I am today,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: and they're not here anymore. Do I deserve to be here?
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I'm not based on everything I've done, but through God's
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: grace and mercy and favor, I'm here. So I'm saying
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: about three different things in this closing remark, So let
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: me sum it up for you. Stop trying to see
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: your way all the way through and just take the
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: next step. And every time you take a step, pray
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: to God and ask God for guidance, wisdom and understand it,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: and that'll help you make the next step. Stop thinking
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: that you deserve everything because you don't. Because if all
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: of us got what we truly deserve, I think we
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: all if you were honest, because I did some things
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: when I was young man that have I If I
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: had got caught doing it, I wouldn't be here today.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: I made some decisions when I was young that if
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: I paid the full price for it, my life would
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: be another guy. If you didn't like this one, see
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: you tomorrow. I'll have another talk to God he loved
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: to hear from for all. Steve every contests no purchase necessary,
