- 0:00Speaker 1: Our coal areas are going to be opened up for clean,
- 0:03Speaker 1: beautiful coal. They tried wind, which is a disaster, stangerous
- 0:07Speaker 1: in the oceans in terms of navigation. And if you
- 0:09Speaker 1: look at what's happening with Wales, you know in one area,
- 0:12Speaker 1: two whales like in twenty years washed ashore and this
- 0:15Speaker 1: year they had seventeen wash ashore. So there's something happened
- 0:18Speaker 1: out there. There's something driving the whales a little bit loc.
- 0:22Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Good Thursday morning. Ben Ferguson with you. It's so nice
- 0:28Speaker 3: to have you on the forty seven Morning Update. And
- 0:30Speaker 3: these are the big three stories that you need to
- 0:32Speaker 3: know about. First up, Pete Headseth is responding to the
- 0:36Speaker 3: liberal media attacks to their face over what they've designated
- 0:40Speaker 3: as Signal Gate, and you do not want to miss
- 0:43Speaker 3: what he has to say. Also, ICE agents detained six
- 0:47Speaker 3: hundred plus criminal illegals in a single week in Houston, Texas.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Yet liberal cities are still defying the law and Donald
- 0:57Speaker 3: Trump will have the latest on that. And finally, Donald
- 1:00Speaker 3: Trump says I'm not messing around yet again, announcing twenty
- 1:04Speaker 3: five percent tariff on cars not made in the US.
- 1:07Speaker 3: This the beginning, he says, of Liberation Day in America.
- 1:11Speaker 3: It's the forty seven morning update, and it starts right now.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:16Speaker 3: It is a media firestorm as the organizing of the
- 1:19Speaker 3: Democratic Party and state sponsored media are coming together for
- 1:22Speaker 3: what is now being dubbed as Signal Gate. Yes, there was,
- 1:26Speaker 3: in fact a journalist who is inadvertently put on a
- 1:29Speaker 3: text message group with many members of the Trump team.
- 1:33Speaker 3: But what they're saying about what was said on those
- 1:36Speaker 3: texts is still a big lie. And that is exactly
- 1:39Speaker 3: why Pete Edgseth came out and made it very clear
- 1:43Speaker 3: to the media to their faces that no units, no
- 1:46Speaker 3: locations were shared on the signal chat, the Defense Secretary
- 1:51Speaker 3: insisting that he did not share classified plans through a
- 1:55Speaker 3: signal group, and the Trump administration officials did nothing wrong. Yes,
- 2:00Speaker 3: there was the Atlantics Jeffrey Goldberg, who was inadvertently added
- 2:03Speaker 3: to that chat, and he has done nothing more than
- 2:05Speaker 3: release details and go on TV and say there's a
- 2:09Speaker 3: big scandal. But the reality is they were not in
- 2:12Speaker 3: fact war plans. Here is Peete, in his own words,
- 2:15Speaker 3: talking directly to these reporters and the American people, Gofile.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Dave, when we're on the road talking to the troops
- 2:22Speaker 4: and actually in real time re establishing deterrence. You see,
- 2:26Speaker 4: that's what President Trump has charged the Defense Department with doing,
- 2:31Speaker 4: reviving the warrior ethos, rebuilding the military, which we're doing
- 2:35Speaker 4: in real time, and re establishing deterrence. And that's why
- 2:38Speaker 4: we're heading out into the Indo Pacific to talk to
- 2:40Speaker 4: our allies and partners and meet with the troops. So
- 2:43Speaker 4: you see, under the Biden administration, we let our troops
- 2:46Speaker 4: and our ships and both warships and commercial ships get
- 2:50Speaker 4: shot at to no consequence. What does that look like?
- 2:53Speaker 4: That looks like weakness. And what President Trump has said
- 2:57Speaker 4: is peace through strength is back. We will re establish deterrence.
- 3:02Speaker 4: That's not acceptable. And our ongoing campaign against the Houthis
- 3:07Speaker 4: has been devastatingly effective. Now, as I said to this
- 3:11Speaker 4: group a couple of times on this trip, now, as
- 3:13Speaker 4: we moved to the Indo Pacific to do our job,
- 3:15Speaker 4: which is what we're here to do, nobody's texting war plans.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Well, I noticed this morning out came.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Something that doesn't look like war plans. And as a
- 3:27Speaker 4: matter of fact. They even change the title to attack
- 3:29Speaker 4: plans because they know it's not war plans. There's no units,
- 3:34Speaker 4: no locations, no routes, no flight paths, no sources, no methods,
- 3:42Speaker 4: no classified information. You know who sees war plans? I
- 3:45Speaker 4: see them every single day. I looked at them this morning.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I looked at attack plans this morning. You know who
- 3:52Speaker 4: does attack plans and war plans. Men like that Admiral
- 3:56Speaker 4: right there, Paparo for the Indo Pacific or Eric Carilla
- 4:00Speaker 4: are general in Sentcom. They do attack plans and war plans,
- 4:05Speaker 4: and thank god, we have those leaders who do it
- 4:08Speaker 4: and do it well, and our enemies know it. My job,
- 4:12Speaker 4: as it said at top of that, everybody's seen it now,
- 4:14Speaker 4: Team Update, is to provide updates in real time, general
- 4:20Speaker 4: updates in real time, keep everybody informed. That's what I did.
- 4:25Speaker 4: That's my job. The war fighters will take the fight
- 4:28Speaker 4: to the enemy, and I love what they do. And
- 4:30Speaker 4: with President Trump's leadership, our enemies are on notice. We
- 4:34Speaker 4: will have peace through strength and we'll keep putting our
- 4:36Speaker 4: troops first.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Now, if you listen to what he actually said, and
- 4:39Speaker 3: you look at what he's telling you in his words,
- 4:41Speaker 3: as a matter of fact, they even change the title
- 4:43Speaker 3: to quote attack plans. There's no units, there's no locations,
- 4:48Speaker 3: there's no routes, there's no flight pass there's no sources,
- 4:51Speaker 3: there's no methods, there's no classified information. And what the
- 4:56Speaker 3: Defense Secretary was making it clear, is it. Yes, they
- 4:59Speaker 3: took tech messages and then they made them bigger than
- 5:02Speaker 3: they actually are as he described it. Yeah, I see
- 5:05Speaker 3: war plans every single day, but he is not the
- 5:08Speaker 3: person who devises them either, Yet again showing that the
- 5:11Speaker 3: media is lying to the American people. And let's not
- 5:14Speaker 3: forget why they were having to actually do this attack.
- 5:18Speaker 3: It is actually because of the inaction of the Biden
- 5:21Speaker 3: administration who refused to protect American ships and the shipping channel,
- 5:26Speaker 3: and that is exactly why the Trump administration was forced
- 5:28Speaker 3: to act in the first place. Now, to be clear,
- 5:31Speaker 3: Democrats are going to try to turn this into the
- 5:33Speaker 3: biggest story they can because it's their job with a
- 5:37Speaker 3: Democratic party, obviously, to try to lie to the American
- 5:40Speaker 3: people and deceive them instead of giving them the actual facts.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Just like you heard there from the Defense Secretary. Next
- 5:46Speaker 3: story number two, there are two Americas right now, and
- 5:49Speaker 3: depending on where you're listening to me right now, you
- 5:52Speaker 3: know that you're either in a city that is cooperating
- 5:55Speaker 3: with ICE or you're in a sanctuary city that is
- 5:57Speaker 3: refusing to hand over hardened criminals. They're a threat to
- 6:01Speaker 3: society to ICE agents, by the way, also in violation
- 6:05Speaker 3: of the law. Tom Homan went on Fox News Channel
- 6:08Speaker 3: to explain exactly how bad it is in many of
- 6:11Speaker 3: the Democratic cities.
- 6:13Speaker 5: So Tom, just to get into some of the specific series.
- 6:15Speaker 5: So you got these folks that had already been charged
- 6:17Speaker 5: with this, which our agents were asking, keep these guys
- 6:20Speaker 5: behind bars and we'll go pick them up. But many
- 6:23Speaker 5: of these criminals got charged and they were released back
- 6:27Speaker 5: on the street.
- 6:27Speaker 6: Right, yeah, surely right. In one case, I looked at Lawrence.
- 6:30Speaker 6: One case, there's a child rape. He was released two
- 6:33Speaker 6: years ago without on our retainer. It took us two
- 6:36Speaker 6: years to find this person. So how many children did
- 6:39Speaker 6: he attack the last two years? All we're asking for
- 6:41Speaker 6: is let our agents in the jail where you lock
- 6:44Speaker 6: somebody up and let us arrest them there when you're
- 6:46Speaker 6: done with them, rather than really something back in the
- 6:48Speaker 6: public and making a public safety issue out of it.
- 6:50Speaker 3: You listen to Tom Holman, there all we're asking for
- 6:53Speaker 3: is to let our ICE agents into the jail and
- 6:55Speaker 3: arrest these criminals when they're done with them. Referring to locales,
- 7:00Speaker 3: many liberal cities and states are still refusing to comply
- 7:03Speaker 3: with the federal laws and refusing to work with ICE agents.
- 7:08Speaker 3: So what is happening in cities right now where the
- 7:11Speaker 3: city is choosing to work with the federal government and
- 7:15Speaker 3: just how many illegal immigrant criminals they're getting off the
- 7:17Speaker 3: streets that are violent. Let me give you an example
- 7:19Speaker 3: of Houston, Texas. ICE agents have now released that they
- 7:23Speaker 3: detained more than six hundred criminal illegals in a single week. Yes,
- 7:29Speaker 3: the agents recently detained the more than three hunder criminal
- 7:32Speaker 3: legals in Greater Houston in a seven day period. ICE
- 7:35Speaker 3: arrested six hundred and forty six non citizens during an
- 7:39Speaker 3: operation from February to twenty third to March the second,
- 7:42Speaker 3: including five hundred and forty three aliens with criminal charges
- 7:47Speaker 3: and seven alleged to be gang members. The five hundred
- 7:50Speaker 3: and forty three detainees all entered the US illegally and
- 7:54Speaker 3: quote have been charged or convicted of a criminal offense
- 7:57Speaker 3: while they are illegally present in the country. Those taken
- 8:01Speaker 3: to custody included one hundred and forty charges or convicted
- 8:04Speaker 3: for an aggravated felony or other violent offenses such as homicide,
- 8:09Speaker 3: aggravate assault, or domestic violence. In addition, thirty four of
- 8:13Speaker 3: those attained are criminal aliens charged or convicted of a
- 8:19Speaker 3: sex offense or child sex offense such as aggravated sexual
- 8:23Speaker 3: assault of a minor, possession of child pornography, or rape.
- 8:27Speaker 3: The Director of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Field Office
- 8:32Speaker 3: in Houston said the agency executed seventy one criminal arrest
- 8:37Speaker 3: warrants as part of the seven day long targeted operation.
- 8:41Speaker 3: ICE coordinated with other federal and state agencies to pull
- 8:45Speaker 3: off the six hundred and forty six attentions. Among those
- 8:49Speaker 3: involved were US Customs and Border Protection, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
- 8:53Speaker 3: Firearms and Explosives, the FBI, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
- 8:58Speaker 3: In a press release, they said out after illegally entering
- 9:01Speaker 3: the country, many of these criminal aliens have gone on
- 9:04Speaker 3: to commit violent crime and reign terror on law a
- 9:07Speaker 3: bodying residents in the Houston area. Fueled by our unwavering
- 9:10Speaker 3: commitment to protect the public from harm and united in
- 9:13Speaker 3: our determination to restore integrity to our nation systems of laws.
- 9:17Speaker 3: ICE and our law enforcement partners in Southeast Texas have
- 9:21Speaker 3: banned together to remove these dangerous criminal aliens from our
- 9:25Speaker 3: local communities and put an end to the lawlessness that
- 9:27Speaker 3: they spread. So there are, in fact two different Americas
- 9:30Speaker 3: right now. There are cities like Houston that are using
- 9:33Speaker 3: every avenue of government and law enforcement to work together
- 9:37Speaker 3: to get rid of these violent criminals and rapists. And
- 9:40Speaker 3: then there are liberal cities that are refusing to hand
- 9:43Speaker 3: over these violent criminals to the federal government. Now, the
- 9:47Speaker 3: big question becomes what is the president going to do
- 9:50Speaker 3: to go after these cities that are obviously putting Americans
- 9:54Speaker 3: in harm's way.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And lastly, story number three.
- 9:57Speaker 3: President Donald Trump has made good on a promise announce
- 10:00Speaker 3: a twenty five percent tariff on all automobiles not manufactured
- 10:04Speaker 3: in the United States, a move aim to revitalize domestic
- 10:08Speaker 3: car production and protect American jobs. He is framing the
- 10:11Speaker 3: decision as a key step towards economic independence and national strength.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Trump emphasizing the importance of bringing automotive manufacturing back to
- 10:20Speaker 3: American soil. Supporters of the tariff for making it clear
- 10:24Speaker 3: this could lead to major resurgences in US auto jobs,
- 10:28Speaker 3: spur investment in American factories, and level the playing field
- 10:32Speaker 3: with foreign competitors who have long benefited from low production
- 10:36Speaker 3: costs and trade advantages. Industry insiders are already reporting interests
- 10:41Speaker 3: from automakers and expanding US based operations to avoid the
- 10:46Speaker 3: new Levy quote. This is about putting America first. Trump
- 10:49Speaker 3: set here's more of the present in his own words.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh, this is the beginning of liberation Day in America.
- 11:00Speaker 1: We're going to take back just some of the money
- 11:03Speaker 1: that has been taken from us by people sitting behind
- 11:07Speaker 1: this desk or another desk that's not quite as nice,
- 11:09Speaker 1: but they have their choice of seven, as you know.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And we're going to charge countries for doing business in
- 11:20Speaker 1: our country and taking our jobs, taking our wealth, taking
- 11:24Speaker 1: a lot of things that they've been taken over the years.
- 11:26Speaker 1: They've taken so much out of our country. Friend and foe,
- 11:29Speaker 1: and frankly, friend has been oftentimes much worse than FAE.
- 11:33Speaker 1: And this is very modest. What we're going to be
- 11:35Speaker 1: doing is a twenty five percent tariff on all cars
- 11:39Speaker 1: that are not made in the United States. If they're
- 11:41Speaker 1: made in the United States, is absolutely not terror. We
- 11:44Speaker 1: start off with a two and a hared percent base,
- 11:46Speaker 1: which is what we were at, and we go to
- 11:48Speaker 1: twenty five percent, and basically, as you know, and as
- 11:52Speaker 1: you've been seeing not reporting as accurately as it should
- 11:55Speaker 1: be reported, because it's a massive story, business is coming
- 11:58Speaker 1: back to the United States so that they don't have
- 12:00Speaker 1: to pay tariffs.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Now, economists are very excited about the President's new policy,
- 12:06Speaker 3: suggesting by the way that tariffs could reduce the trade
- 12:08Speaker 3: deficit and bolster related sectors such as steel, glass, and
- 12:12Speaker 3: electronics for many in manufacturing hubs. They also say, like
- 12:17Speaker 3: Michigan and Ohio, the move represents hope for the return
- 12:20Speaker 3: to prosperity and industrial pride. Now, the clear point the
- 12:24Speaker 3: President is sending is that we are open for business
- 12:27Speaker 3: and he is putting American workers ahead of foreign cheap labor,
- 12:31Speaker 3: and that's good for all Americans in this country.
