- 0:09Speaker 1: At all at all.
- 0:10Speaker 3: So given a.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Black bush, yeah, listening to.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Show, I don't join ya, joy, you.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Don't turn out.
- 1:13Speaker 6: Turn you gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You probably got to turn the mouth, turn out the
- 1:47Speaker 2: water then up.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Look, come come on you'll think that, Uh huh, I
- 2:03Speaker 4: sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 4: Come on me now, want it only see Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 4: a radio show. Five things that I know successful people
- 2:15Speaker 4: have to do to be successful. The principles are the same.
- 2:19Speaker 4: You can apply it to anything, you know, if you
- 2:22Speaker 4: want to be happily married, you know, whatever it is.
- 2:25Speaker 4: The principles of success are the same. There are a
- 2:28Speaker 4: series of things that you have to do. You cannot
- 2:31Speaker 4: skip the steps of success. If you do, you're going
- 2:34Speaker 4: to have to go back and step on them anyway.
- 2:37Speaker 4: So here's here's here's a part man that I want
- 2:41Speaker 4: you all to understand about me and and and and
- 2:45Speaker 4: about how to look at it. You know, you you
- 2:49Speaker 4: cannot under estimate faith and prayer.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You just can't.
- 3:00Speaker 4: You cannot underestimate the power of faith and the power
- 3:06Speaker 4: of prayer.
- 3:08Speaker 2: See for me.
- 3:09Speaker 7: This is just for me.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Now, this ain't in the scripture nowhere. This is just
- 3:13Speaker 2: something I discovered.
- 3:15Speaker 4: What prayer did for me was was it tied me
- 3:18Speaker 4: to my creator. It gave me a sense and I'm
- 3:25Speaker 4: describing it this way, but I'm telling you it's deeper
- 3:28Speaker 4: than this. But it gave me a sense that I
- 3:31Speaker 4: wasn't alone, and at actuality I wasn't. But prayer helped
- 3:38Speaker 4: connect me to the power source that was available to
- 3:43Speaker 4: me to get through, get around, or get over whatever
- 3:50Speaker 4: it was that was in the way, whether it was
- 3:53Speaker 4: just a period I stretched, I had to go through
- 3:55Speaker 4: hard work. It had to period I had to go
- 3:58Speaker 4: through to learn some lessons, some periods I had to
- 4:02Speaker 4: go through from having to pay for some of the
- 4:04Speaker 4: mistakes I've made. Whatever the case may be, prayer gave
- 4:09Speaker 4: me a decided advantage, especially oh here we go, Especially
- 4:18Speaker 4: over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in my
- 4:23Speaker 4: life that were my enemies. I didn't want them to
- 4:25Speaker 4: be my enemies, make no mistake about this. But through
- 4:30Speaker 4: the thing called life, some things went down. Some things
- 4:33Speaker 4: happened from here and then went over here that way,
- 4:37Speaker 4: and a person became my enemy. The majority of enemies
- 4:41Speaker 4: I have came out of nowhere. I have no reason
- 4:45Speaker 4: to even see why they are my enemies. But you know,
- 4:50Speaker 4: life goes on, man. It happens from time to time.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Some people just won't let it go. See some people,
- 4:56Speaker 4: in their quest to do something to you or to
- 5:00Speaker 4: make you pay, they just won't let it go. What
- 5:04Speaker 4: may cause you some discomforting and some of it may
- 5:06Speaker 4: be lies about you and all of this and all
- 5:09Speaker 4: of that, but that that can't prohibit you from going forward.
- 5:13Speaker 4: So what I'm saying is prayer gave me the strength
- 5:18Speaker 4: of wisdom understanding the carriage to either go through it,
- 5:22Speaker 4: go around it, or go over it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: But it happened. I do not know how I could
- 5:31Speaker 2: have made it without faith and without prayer.
- 5:36Speaker 7: It would have.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Something would have got me. YouTube would have got me.
- 5:42Speaker 4: The bloggers would have got me. My partners that I
- 5:48Speaker 4: grew up with, that used to laugh behind my back,
- 5:51Speaker 4: They would have got me. My friend that went over
- 5:55Speaker 4: my mother's house one time and told her, you know
- 5:58Speaker 4: what Steve's problem is he out there telling them jokes.
- 6:01Speaker 2: He just lazy, he don't want to work.
- 6:04Speaker 7: That would have got me. They didn't know.
- 6:08Speaker 4: I ain't really mad at them because they were just
- 6:11Speaker 4: All they was doing was based in their conversations and
- 6:14Speaker 4: pasting judgment based on what they knew, based on what
- 6:18Speaker 4: they believed. They didn't believe I was gonna make it.
- 6:23Speaker 4: But that's them, though. If it was not for the faith,
- 6:27Speaker 4: which is the belief in things that you cannot see,
- 6:30Speaker 4: I wouldn't have made it because I would have listened
- 6:33Speaker 4: to everybody else who didn't see me getting here and
- 6:38Speaker 4: went along with it.
- 6:40Speaker 2: And then prayer.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Oh my goodness, man, how many times has prayer bailed
- 6:45Speaker 4: me out? Prayer has bailed me out, press still bailing
- 6:50Speaker 4: me out. Tell you the truth, man, quiet as it's
- 6:54Speaker 4: kept prayer, that connection to your heavenly Father, that connection
- 7:01Speaker 4: to your creator, that connection to that source of power
- 7:05Speaker 4: and inspiration, that connection of never feeling that you were alone.
- 7:09Speaker 4: You know, I was watching the Bishop Jakes on TV
- 7:12Speaker 4: yesterday and it was a repeat, and one of the
- 7:16Speaker 4: things he was talking about, well, let me just get
- 7:20Speaker 4: to the gist of it. I was going through a
- 7:24Speaker 4: portion of my life and I went through it for
- 7:28Speaker 4: some years, y'all. I had gotten myself into a jam
- 7:32Speaker 4: that lasted for years I'm telling you for years, with
- 7:37Speaker 4: some serious consequences to follow.
- 7:40Speaker 2: For years, and.
- 7:44Speaker 7: I was so busy looking at where I was at.
- 7:51Speaker 4: I was sulking sometimes, Man, I'd get on the radio, Man,
- 7:55Speaker 4: I'd be just done.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I was sulking.
- 7:58Speaker 8: My my.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Spirit had gotten low. I had gotten tired of the fight.
- 8:06Speaker 4: And I would come on some mornings, man, and I
- 8:09Speaker 4: would try try not to let on, but I was hurting.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I was because I had been in for years. Man,
- 8:14Speaker 4: I had been in this thing for years. And one
- 8:18Speaker 4: thing I was doing. I was so busy looking at
- 8:20Speaker 4: where I was at. And when I was watching Bishop
- 8:23Speaker 4: Jakes he preached his sermon. He was talking about so
- 8:33Speaker 4: busy looking at where you at.
- 8:37Speaker 2: That you don't even realize that God has been with
- 8:43Speaker 2: you the entire time.
- 8:48Speaker 4: And you know what, Man, just yesterday, just yesterday, I
- 8:50Speaker 4: heard this and I text him. I text Bishop Jakes,
- 8:55Speaker 4: and I thanked him because it was an old message
- 8:57Speaker 4: I could tell. And I called a tex him up
- 9:00Speaker 4: and I said, Man, thank you so much. I was
- 9:02Speaker 4: just watching you on TV and you told me, man,
- 9:06Speaker 4: something that I that I'll always remember that whatever you're
- 9:09Speaker 4: going through, that He's there with you the whole time.
- 9:14Speaker 4: But see when sometimes when you're so busy looking at
- 9:16Speaker 4: where you at, you don't even notice where he is.
- 9:19Speaker 4: And see sometimes, man, that helped me, and that's going
- 9:23Speaker 4: to help me in the future to realize that what
- 9:25Speaker 4: I'm going through, that he's there. He's there with me,
- 9:28Speaker 4: and he gonna protect me, and he ain't gonna let
- 9:30Speaker 4: my enemies overcome me, and he ain't gonna let nobody
- 9:33Speaker 4: overtake me, and he ain't gonna let me go under
- 9:36Speaker 4: because he's there.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It's just you can't be so busy looking at where
- 9:40Speaker 2: you at that you don't take notice of where he at.
- 9:42Speaker 4: God is always there, He's always available, and the best
- 9:46Speaker 4: way to tap into that and know it is you
- 9:48Speaker 4: got to pray. Prayer has changed my life. Prayer can
- 9:52Speaker 4: change your life. You can become something if you just pray.

- 18:46Speaker 6: Mind okay? I mean, is it is? It? Is it
- 18:48Speaker 6: a problem teaching two more children and two Caucasian children
- 18:51Speaker 6: who probably don't know as much about black history?
- 18:54Speaker 8: It is a problem. I worked ten hours a day,
- 18:56Speaker 8: I got three. I'm trying to feed on my own.
- 19:00Speaker 8: You're what you didn't take them children to that who
- 19:03Speaker 8: told you.
- 19:03Speaker 6: To bring them to me? How about that, ma'am? I
- 19:06Speaker 6: don't know. I'm not a little bity to give out
- 19:08Speaker 6: the names though, who exactly submitted your name?
- 19:10Speaker 8: I want the name of the black who told you
- 19:14Speaker 8: to bring some kids to my I E try at
- 19:17Speaker 8: the kid's wife. I want the name of the just
- 19:21Speaker 8: told you that.
- 19:22Speaker 6: That's what I want. I remember, I don't have their
- 19:24Speaker 6: names in front of me.

- 22:06Speaker 10: leave's got your back. Try a leave use as directed
- 22:09Speaker 10: for minor aches and pain. Right now it is time
- 22:14Speaker 10: to ask the clo all right. Jerome in Tampa writes
- 22:20Speaker 10: that my wife is thinks it's cute to let our
- 22:23Speaker 10: five year old daughter take my money and put it
- 22:25Speaker 10: in her piggy bank. I empty my pockets when I
- 22:28Speaker 10: get home, and my dollars in change are gone as
- 22:30Speaker 10: soon as I walk away.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Is she teaching our daughter a bad habit? Nope?
- 22:35Speaker 4: Well anyway, tu, you got a wife and a daughter.
- 22:41Speaker 4: You ain't seen this happen before, But it's a I
- 22:45Speaker 4: don't even know what you're.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Tripping on, you know, educating her daughter.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Why don't you do this, bro? Why don't you take it?
- 22:55Speaker 4: Make it a teaching lesson. You just bring your change
- 22:58Speaker 4: home and give it to your daughter and teach her
- 23:01Speaker 4: how to say stop acting.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Like she's stealing.
- 23:05Speaker 4: You know, now you could look at it like that,
- 23:07Speaker 4: but you know, go in there and get your daddy's
- 23:09Speaker 4: change and put that in your purse.
- 23:11Speaker 2: You know, put that in your piggy bank.
- 23:14Speaker 4: You know your daughter's not really equating that to steal
- 23:17Speaker 4: it because I'm pretty sure her mama tails had to
- 23:19Speaker 4: go in there and do it. So, you know, why
- 23:22Speaker 4: don't you get involved in make it a learning teaching
- 23:25Speaker 4: moment this r let's go to the next question.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Your baby girl, just put money in her piggy bank.
- 23:35Speaker 7: That's your problem.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Next question, ship, he's.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Not here, Brooklyn. Moving on fun in Brooklyn.
- 23:43Speaker 10: Since my husband had an old cup coffee cup in
- 23:46Speaker 10: his car, and he doesn't drink coffee. So I got
- 23:49Speaker 10: his keys and I examined the cup. It had greasy
- 23:52Speaker 10: lip marks on the rim of the cup, like clear
- 23:54Speaker 10: lip gloss. He said it was his chapstick. Does this
- 23:58Speaker 10: sound odd to you?
- 24:00Speaker 2: It's probably chapstick. No, I don't even try. Yeah, we
- 24:06Speaker 2: have to go with chapstick.
- 24:07Speaker 1: He doesn't even drink coffee. Get out of here.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Tea, tea, milk and coffee two different things. Coffee mug
- 24:19Speaker 4: had more than coffee in it.
- 24:21Speaker 1: And clear lip gloss and chapstick two different things.
- 24:24Speaker 2: He went for me. And when we put on chapstick
- 24:27Speaker 2: to keep our lips all the time, I put stick
- 24:29Speaker 2: on everything.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Lip gloss no.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Thicker, Yeah, and it's thicker.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Welly Weather in a have you. Yeah, it ain't picking
- 24:41Speaker 4: in chapstick. I'm talking about the brand Chopstick.
- 24:44Speaker 1: And it's not shiny. Chapstick is not shiny after you.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Leave it on that for a while. It's not we're
- 24:51Speaker 2: gonna do this.
- 24:52Speaker 1: That's not what you're gonna do.
- 24:54Speaker 2: It's probably bacon grease. That may have probably have breakfast.
- 24:57Speaker 2: That's probably bacon.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Greet She said, Well, she's a woman, Yeah, she.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Knows for chapstick. Though, I'm talking about the brand Chapstick,
- 25:05Speaker 4: little cheap thing.
- 25:06Speaker 10: Chapstick does abound odd to you. No, well to me,
- 25:14Speaker 10: all right, and to every other woman out there it
- 25:18Speaker 10: does all right. Moving on, since we won't get a
- 25:21Speaker 10: straight answer, a truthful answer.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Some woman had her coffee cup in his car.
- 25:29Speaker 10: That's all all right, and he's stupid for not taking
- 25:33Speaker 10: it out, Sandra and Wilmington says. Sandra and Wilmington says,
- 25:38Speaker 10: my husband and I went to see a marriage counselor
- 25:40Speaker 10: and he told the counselor that I'm a lazy lover
- 25:43Speaker 10: and he's tired of having sex with me. I feel
- 25:46Speaker 10: like I've overstayed my welcome in our marriage and I'm
- 25:49Speaker 10: done with counseling.
- 25:50Speaker 2: What do you think you're out there?
- 25:53Speaker 4: Because see that lazy lover kind of messed you up.
- 25:56Speaker 4: You know what that means though though you just lay
- 25:59Speaker 4: in there, that's all that means. You just laying there.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And she changing evident.
- 26:08Speaker 4: But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah she she's overstayed her work. Yeah,
- 26:11Speaker 4: she found out she was a lazy lover. It's reflective

- 28:33Speaker 10: hang out more. I don't want him in any way,
- 28:37Speaker 10: So is it best to tell him that I made

- 28:48Speaker 4: I'm just trying to figure out how you slip up?
- 28:51Speaker 4: You don't want him in any way, How did you
- 28:54Speaker 4: slip up? See, that's just a lot too much got
- 28:58Speaker 4: to happen before you slip up up. First of all,
- 29:00Speaker 4: you got to go somewhere. That's a slip up. Then
- 29:04Speaker 4: you got to sit on the edge of the bed.
- 29:06Speaker 4: That's a slip up. Then you gotta take your clothes off.
- 29:09Speaker 4: That's a slip up.

- 29:43Speaker 4: he gotta get you right. You got lessons you got
- 29:46Speaker 4: to learn. You got strength you have to build. It's
- 29:49Speaker 4: character you have to mold, and you got to go
- 29:52Speaker 4: through things to have strength. You got to go through
- 29:55Speaker 4: things to build character. You gotta go through things to
- 29:58Speaker 4: get experienced, because what you're asking God for, he already
- 30:02Speaker 4: knows what you need in order to sustain when you
- 30:05Speaker 4: get there. So you got to you gotta learn all
- 30:07Speaker 4: the lessons, and every time you fail, quit looking at
- 30:10Speaker 4: it as a failure. That's just another learned lesson. That's
- 30:14Speaker 4: all in order to get to it. You got to
- 30:18Speaker 4: go through it. Once you understand that, it simplifies. It
- 30:23Speaker 4: doesn't make it easy. It simplifies.

- 38:11Speaker 10: So guys, let's talk about our favorite childhood Easter memories.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I'm sure you have some.
- 38:17Speaker 10: Easter was an important day still is growing up. I mean,
- 38:22Speaker 10: you know, Easter clothes, all of that.
- 38:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 2: My my my favorite one was also my worst one.
- 38:30Speaker 2: At the same time, what do you mean, mad, Me
- 38:34Speaker 2: and my cousin decided we was gonna do you know,
- 38:37Speaker 2: you know, you bought eggs, then you paint them and
- 38:39Speaker 2: do all that. Yeah, so we decided we were We
- 38:44Speaker 2: did these eggs, but we didn't all them man on purpose,
- 38:50Speaker 2: on purpose and put them out there for people to find.
- 38:53Speaker 2: And man, when they start breaking the me egg, the
- 38:55Speaker 2: yolk was all over that place. Boy, my mama found
- 39:00Speaker 2: it was me and my cousin and did what I mean,
- 39:02Speaker 2: we had that yoke. That yoke was all over the
- 39:04Speaker 2: people's stops, man, all over the people. Well, me and
- 39:07Speaker 2: my cousin laughing our butt off.
- 39:09Speaker 13: Man.
- 39:10Speaker 2: My mama whooped out right there in that church yard. Man,
- 39:14Speaker 2: Oh my god, I mean I mean about nine beat
- 39:19Speaker 2: our butt to death. Man, I mean your man passed.
- 39:22Speaker 2: They had yoga all on this road. It was just
- 39:25Speaker 2: it was bad. It was bad. But we had we
- 39:27Speaker 2: had done about three dozen and them we had a
- 39:29Speaker 2: bunch of raw eggs, your painted Oh man. We thought
- 39:35Speaker 2: that's that's that's that's my first prank right there, right
- 39:38Speaker 2: that's when it all started.
- 39:39Speaker 1: That's my birthday right there, Jor.
- 39:45Speaker 9: I don't like right now, just like the before Eastern
- 39:50Speaker 9: iould get because I ain't got that speech together yet.
- 39:55Speaker 12: Speech with the belt of hands, sati space. She was
- 40:02Speaker 12: in my head because I can't get the second line out.
- 40:05Speaker 12: We got to perform on Sunday.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing together.
- 40:09Speaker 9: Almost a lot of pressure right now, can't get it
- 40:13Speaker 9: together right all that bill was coming across my back
- 40:16Speaker 9: five he roll, I need to ride right now, to
- 40:25Speaker 9: ride this house.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I can't.
- 40:27Speaker 2: I can't do it. One seals. Roebuck had a suit
- 40:35Speaker 2: called the ten Way.
- 40:37Speaker 4: It had reversible pants, reversible vest, and reversible jacket. And
- 40:44Speaker 4: they said you could make ten combinations out of there.
- 40:49Speaker 4: I had thirty five. They didn't know what else to do.
- 40:56Speaker 4: I was turning inside out.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I was so cold.
- 40:59Speaker 7: I would go to church.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Let the little girl see me go to the bathroom
- 41:05Speaker 4: and come out with a hold of outfit on it.
- 41:10Speaker 7: I'm changing that church coming up here, and I can
- 41:12Speaker 7: change anywhere.
- 41:13Speaker 4: I could go in the road clauset and change the
- 41:16Speaker 4: bathroom and change I'm going. I'll go in to janitor
- 41:19Speaker 4: clause of the change.
- 41:20Speaker 10: I'll come up right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 41:25Speaker 10: Morning Show. It is time now to check Steve's voicemail
- 41:33Speaker 10: eight seven seven twenty nine.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Steve. If you would like to leave a message for Steve,
- 41:37Speaker 1: please do.
- 41:38Speaker 10: We would love to hear from you, and you can
- 41:39Speaker 10: hear your call on the air. Maybe see you ready, yes, yes,
- 41:43Speaker 10: all right, here we go. This is a question about
- 41:46Speaker 10: a relationship breakup.
- 41:49Speaker 14: Hey, if the hafe yells coming to see If you
- 41:53Speaker 14: break up with your fiance and she got your furniture
- 41:56Speaker 14: in the house, should you get your furniture back or
- 41:58Speaker 14: you should you just leave it in that where?
- 42:03Speaker 4: Well, let me let me see this to you dog.
- 42:06Speaker 4: It depends on why y'all broke up. It has a
- 42:11Speaker 4: lot to do with calls and effect. Whose fault it was,
- 42:15Speaker 4: So if it was your fault, probably need to leave
- 42:19Speaker 4: that furniture in there. If it was her fault. How
- 42:25Speaker 4: you gonna get in there? See the question of your furniture,
- 42:31Speaker 4: my furniture, her furniture. It's kind of a little shaky.
- 42:36Speaker 4: So to me, it depends on who calls the breakup.
- 42:40Speaker 4: It wasn't no mutual understanding. Somebody did something and therefore
- 42:45Speaker 4: it's off. And just based on the intensity and your
- 42:48Speaker 4: voice on the phone call, I think it was you.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Some dog. Can I get in there and get that furniture?
- 42:59Speaker 6: Now?
- 43:00Speaker 4: So first of all, in there, that ain't your house,
- 43:04Speaker 4: So that probably ain't your house. And it's been clear,
- 43:08Speaker 4: it's been clear that you got put out.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah, what kind of funds is he trying to get back?
- 43:14Speaker 1: Trying to get out that out?
- 43:15Speaker 4: It's you know that that that flash green? You know
- 43:18Speaker 4: me and all we want that flash green? Yeah, near
- 43:22Speaker 4: that bedroom set them the two things we invest in,
- 43:28Speaker 4: TV and sleeping.
- 43:32Speaker 14: All right?
- 43:33Speaker 1: Help that help you out? Helps you out, all right, Steve.
- 43:37Speaker 10: Next, a young listener named Hannah who's from Indiana needs
- 43:40Speaker 10: advice on when everything seems like it's falling apart.
- 43:44Speaker 13: I see, my name's Hannah from Fort Wee, Indiana, and
- 43:48Speaker 13: I just one of your great advice is about when
- 43:52Speaker 13: everything seems like it's falling apart and it seems like
- 43:56Speaker 13: the lowest once again.
- 43:58Speaker 16: I just want your advice on how you keep a
- 44:03Speaker 16: positive mindset and basically trust in the Lord, because we
- 44:08Speaker 16: all know your story, so I would love to hear
- 44:12Speaker 16: what you have to say.
- 44:14Speaker 4: Thank you, well, you sound young. So I'm going to
- 44:18Speaker 4: tell you what I wish I knew back then that
- 44:21Speaker 4: I know now and I got. I heard Tom Hanks
- 44:25Speaker 4: say this in an interview and it was so impactful.
- 44:29Speaker 4: This too shall pass. See this little dark moment that
- 44:34Speaker 4: you're going through, this is temporary. All you got to
- 44:38Speaker 4: do is see, here's what people forget a lot, and
- 44:41Speaker 4: as I've often done it myself, Well, we're going through
- 44:45Speaker 4: some stuff.
- 44:46Speaker 2: We forget that.
- 44:47Speaker 4: Of all the prior things we've ever gone through prior
- 44:51Speaker 4: to this period, our track record for surviving those time
- 44:56Speaker 4: periods has been one hundred percent.
- 45:00Speaker 2: You have a one hundred percent survival rate up until
- 45:04Speaker 2: this point.
- 45:06Speaker 4: You will get through this, and then you have to
- 45:09Speaker 4: understand that this is the part of it that's just
- 45:12Speaker 4: called life.
- 45:14Speaker 2: You are not the only one.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Everybody has these periods where it gets dark and you
- 45:19Speaker 4: can't see that. You know how people say you know
- 45:21Speaker 4: there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I've
- 45:23Speaker 4: been in some tunnels where it wasn't no light. I
- 45:26Speaker 4: just ain't seen nothing. It's kind of like this boar
- 45:29Speaker 4: on zoom right now anyway, and you don't and you
- 45:36Speaker 4: don't see no light at the end of the tunnel.
- 45:39Speaker 4: But you have to keep putting one foot in front
- 45:42Speaker 4: of the next, because eventually you will see the light
- 45:46Speaker 4: at the end of the tunnel. Nobody lives in complete
- 45:50Speaker 4: darkness unless you allow the darkness to define not only
- 45:55Speaker 4: where you at, but it's your future, your darkness you
- 45:59Speaker 4: are in today, it's not your future of tomorrow. All
- 46:01Speaker 4: you gotta do is keep waking up. You're gonna look
- 46:04Speaker 4: up and the sun gonna shine again. This too shall pass.
- 46:07Speaker 4: Keep your faith in God, stay prayerful, and know you
- 46:10Speaker 4: ain't the only one.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Okay, that's it, all right, all right, thank you for
- 46:16Speaker 1: the call, Hannah.
- 46:18Speaker 10: Coming up next, we'll hear from the nephew again with
- 46:21Speaker 10: today's prank phone call. Right after this, you're listening to
- 46:25Speaker 10: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 46:31Speaker 10: of the hour. Right about four minutes after. It's my
- 46:34Speaker 10: strawberry letter for today and the subject is my son's
- 46:37Speaker 10: daddy is blocking my happiness.
- 46:40Speaker 1: M We'll get into that and find out what that's
- 46:43Speaker 1: all about. What is he really blocking and all of that?
- 46:47Speaker 1: Maybe daddy hate.
- 46:50Speaker 10: We'll find out just a few because right now the
- 46:53Speaker 10: nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I understand this is a classic, nephew, what you got
- 46:59Speaker 1: for us today?
- 47:00Speaker 16: Uh?
- 47:01Speaker 2: The title of it is called butt cheeks butt cheeks.
- 47:05Speaker 2: What I'm saying I said, now, I got to call
- 47:07Speaker 2: this man because his wife is disturbing everything when she
- 47:12Speaker 2: comes pick up the kids from school. Because you know
- 47:15Speaker 2: her dress too. You know it's a little too much
- 47:17Speaker 2: and the butt cheeks is out. This is but cheeks.
- 47:20Speaker 2: You know there's a limit on when you should be
- 47:23Speaker 2: butt cheecken and not butt cheecken.
- 47:25Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying coming from you, That's that's real.
- 47:28Speaker 2: We know when we got to go get the kids. Now,
- 47:30Speaker 2: you got to put your butt cheeks up. You can't
- 47:33Speaker 2: you a line, draw the line. I draw a line
- 47:38Speaker 2: right across your butt cheek. You cannot have it. You
- 47:42Speaker 2: cannot have this out like this while these kids is
- 47:46Speaker 2: getting out of You're messing up their man the babies
- 47:48Speaker 2: don't need to the baby don't need to be singing that,
- 47:51Speaker 2: just sing. Okay, let's go catch dog butt chicks. Hello. Hello,
- 47:58Speaker 2: I'm trying to reach Carmen. Miss car Uh.
- 48:01Speaker 11: This is a Nate Master's calling.
- 48:05Speaker 2: I'm the principal at the high school where your daughter goes.
- 48:07Speaker 2: This is mister Porter. Porter. How are you doing today?
- 48:10Speaker 11: I'm fine? Is everything good?
- 48:12Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 48:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, every every everything, Everything is fine. Now
- 48:16Speaker 2: your daughter is tenth grade Crystal right?
- 48:19Speaker 1: Correct?
- 48:20Speaker 2: Okay, okay. I want to make sure i'm you know,
- 48:22Speaker 2: we got so many kids with the same names. I
- 48:24Speaker 2: wanted to make sure I had the right person. So
- 48:26Speaker 2: here's the issue. You say, your name is Nate. Yeah, okay, Nate.
- 48:29Speaker 2: What were the problem we're having here at the school
- 48:32Speaker 2: is I don't know if you are aware of it,
- 48:34Speaker 2: but when your your wife drops Crystal off at school,
- 48:38Speaker 2: we've got the parents as well as some of the teachers.
- 48:42Speaker 2: They're they're complaining about what she's what she's wearing, What
- 48:46Speaker 2: your wife is, Yeah, what she's wearing when she drops
- 48:49Speaker 2: the kids off. Evidently her clothes are very skimpy and
- 48:54Speaker 2: her butt cheeks her butt cheeks her out, you know,
- 48:57Speaker 2: I don't know if she's I haven't actually seen her her,
- 49:00Speaker 2: but I've been getting these reports from uh we've been
- 49:03Speaker 2: getting back.
- 49:04Speaker 11: That's a little strange to me. I'm I'm typically at work.
- 49:07Speaker 11: I mean, I don't know what she's wearing. I'm I'm
- 49:10Speaker 11: gonna have to talk to her later on today.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Okay, Well what I what I was gonna suggest is uh,
- 49:17Speaker 2: you know, I actually I thought I was calling her phone.
- 49:20Speaker 2: I didn't know I was. I was gonna get you.
- 49:22Speaker 2: But what I wanted to do is get her to
- 49:25Speaker 2: come up here so I can see what she's wearing.
- 49:28Speaker 6: You know.
- 49:29Speaker 11: No, no, no, I think I got this handl dude,
- 49:32Speaker 11: I can take care of it.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Well, well, well, I think it's gonna be better for
- 49:35Speaker 2: both of us, Like if I was able to see
- 49:37Speaker 2: her uh in the.
- 49:39Speaker 11: And and let her look player, look, look, I got it,
- 49:43Speaker 11: my daughter. This is not even really concerning my daughter.
- 49:46Speaker 11: This is uh you know, this is this is above
- 49:48Speaker 11: that take grade. Let me handle it. So you know,
- 49:52Speaker 11: you know, my daughter going to principal's office is one thing.
- 49:54Speaker 11: I'll be on top of that. But I'm definitely gonna
- 49:55Speaker 11: be on top of this. So so, like I said,
- 49:58Speaker 11: I think I got this handle, right.
- 50:00Speaker 2: What now, your wife, Carmen, is she there?
- 50:02Speaker 6: Uh?
- 50:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 50:03Speaker 7: I mean is there anywhere I can talk to her?
- 50:05Speaker 6: No?
- 50:06Speaker 11: Like I told you, I think I think I got
- 50:08Speaker 11: this one. I could take care of this. And you know,
- 50:13Speaker 11: my thing is, I've already told you that three times.
- 50:15Speaker 11: I don't know where you're really going with this. You know,
- 50:17Speaker 11: I'm gonna I'm gonna talk to her and get the
- 50:20Speaker 11: situation situation rectified as soon as I can. But we
- 50:23Speaker 11: don't you know, you don't need to you don't need
- 50:25Speaker 11: to see her, you know, talk to her.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Being the principle here at the school, sir. Uh Like
- 50:31Speaker 2: I said, you know, I'm just trying to, you know,
- 50:34Speaker 2: handle the school in the orderly fashion and make sure
- 50:36Speaker 2: that all things are taking care of around here and
- 50:39Speaker 2: we have no issues and no problems.
- 50:40Speaker 11: So what whether you're not talking to my daughter, you're
- 50:43Speaker 11: talking to me. I'm a I'm a husband, I'm a father.
- 50:46Speaker 11: I'm telling you what I tell you. I got to handle.
- 50:49Speaker 11: I got to handle.
- 50:49Speaker 2: I understand it, but I have to handle my school.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Though you understand that I have to handle the school.
- 50:55Speaker 11: I would drop my door off myself, Okay.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I understand that.
- 50:58Speaker 11: What No, I mean, do I need to come up
- 51:00Speaker 11: there and talk to you?
- 51:01Speaker 2: No, I need your wife to come talk to me.
- 51:03Speaker 2: I need to see what she be winning.
- 51:04Speaker 11: You don't need to talk to my wife. Look, player,
- 51:06Speaker 11: do you have a wife?
- 51:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I have a wife.
- 51:09Speaker 11: Come to my office.
- 51:10Speaker 2: But what what what do you?
- 51:11Speaker 12: What do you?
- 51:11Speaker 5: What are you?
- 51:11Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 51:12Speaker 11: No, what are you talking about that? My wife needs
- 51:14Speaker 11: to come and and and so you can inspect the outfit.
- 51:17Speaker 11: I'm not playing that game, player, I'm not We're not
- 51:20Speaker 11: doing that.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Okay. I need to see what your wife be wearing
- 51:23Speaker 2: when she's dropping these kids.
- 51:24Speaker 11: Get me yourself one, I'll send you a picture.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Man, and man, I think we must have gone down
- 51:28Speaker 2: the wrong street which is coming.
- 51:30Speaker 11: Yeah, No, we do definitely down the wrong boulevard on
- 51:32Speaker 11: this one.
- 51:32Speaker 6: Player.
- 51:33Speaker 11: Okay, let me let me just make it very clear
- 51:34Speaker 11: to you. My wife, you're seeing that in the office
- 51:37Speaker 11: and all that. Maybe we can't come up here tomorrow
- 51:40Speaker 11: is gonna be me and her. No, he's not coming
- 51:42Speaker 11: up to the principal's office. We don't need to do it.
- 51:44Speaker 2: But we don't have a problem with you. We just
- 51:46Speaker 2: need her.
- 51:47Speaker 7: I just need to see you.
- 51:48Speaker 11: You're gonna have a problem with me if we keep
- 51:50Speaker 11: going down this road right now.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Okay. So, so it's okay for her to have her
- 51:55Speaker 2: butt cheeks out when she dropped the kids off, But
- 51:57Speaker 2: as soon as I want to have her come out
- 51:59Speaker 2: of office for me about this situation right now, right now.
- 52:02Speaker 11: You you said you're claiming her butt seases out, seazes
- 52:06Speaker 11: out right now? You out of pocket?
- 52:08Speaker 2: Okay, No, it was out of pocket where she pulled
- 52:11Speaker 2: up and got out of the car and her butt
- 52:12Speaker 2: was out of pocket. That's when it was out of pocket.
- 52:15Speaker 2: So so what you can't do, Nate, is be mad
- 52:16Speaker 2: at me by what your wife then put on and
- 52:18Speaker 2: walk up into the school.
- 52:20Speaker 11: Look man, like I said, I'm gonna do what I
- 52:22Speaker 11: gotta do on this on this end, your end is
- 52:25Speaker 11: to handle what's going on in your school.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Well, evidently you're not handling that in over there. So
- 52:30Speaker 2: that's why I'm stepping up as the principal of the
- 52:32Speaker 2: school saying I need to have a meeting, a private
- 52:35Speaker 2: meeting with your wife, so w and her and I
- 52:37Speaker 2: can talk about what she's wearing.
- 52:39Speaker 11: Look, man, I done told you several times her coming
- 52:42Speaker 11: up there on her own is not gonna happen. So
- 52:44Speaker 11: this is where we're at right now. You know what
- 52:46Speaker 11: you not gonna happen?
- 52:48Speaker 2: Say what say what you say?
- 52:50Speaker 11: You what's gonna happen Tomorrow? I'm gonna come up there
- 52:52Speaker 11: and drop my daughter off to come see you.
- 52:54Speaker 2: So you coming here tomorrow?
- 52:56Speaker 11: Absolutely?
- 52:56Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. So are you bringing miss
- 53:01Speaker 2: Carmen with you?
- 53:02Speaker 11: Don't worry about who's with me. I'm not a telephone
- 53:05Speaker 11: talk guy.
- 53:05Speaker 6: Money.
- 53:06Speaker 11: I'm coming up there to handle this right now because
- 53:08Speaker 11: you're out of that. This is how it's going down.
- 53:11Speaker 11: There will be no butt cheeks coming out tomorrow. It's
- 53:14Speaker 11: just gonna be coming out the car on some real
- 53:16Speaker 11: Do you understand? What's your name again?
- 53:19Speaker 2: My name? I'm poored to the principal here.
- 53:22Speaker 11: All right, There'll be no butt cheeks tomorrow. You will

- 56:49Speaker 2: Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:51Speaker 10: Thank you, Gabe, I mean nephew Tommy, all right, subject
- 56:56Speaker 10: to my son's daddy is blocking my happiness. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 56:59Speaker 10: I was a long distance relationship for four years, and
- 57:02Speaker 10: when I broke up with the guy, he moved to
- 57:05Speaker 10: my city and I ended up getting pregnant by him.
- 57:08Speaker 10: After the breakup, I was ready to be done with him,
- 57:11Speaker 10: but now I'm tied to his insecure cry baby of
- 57:15Speaker 10: a man for life. Because of our sons. We try
- 57:18Speaker 10: a co parent, but he cannot understand that that's it,
- 57:22Speaker 10: nothing else. I was dating someone new for about three
- 57:25Speaker 10: months and I had tried to keep it from my ex,
- 57:28Speaker 10: but my son told his dad about how Mommy and
- 57:30Speaker 10: Jake liked to watch TV with him. I got a
- 57:33Speaker 10: call from his dad. In his whiny voice, he asked
- 57:36Speaker 10: me who Jake is. I told him Jake is a
- 57:39Speaker 10: great man and he was very kind to our son.
- 57:42Speaker 10: I could hear him sniffling, so I knew he was crying.
- 57:46Speaker 10: He told me he was on his way to my
- 57:48Speaker 10: house so we could talk. I had a dinner date
- 57:51Speaker 10: with Jake, so I told my ex and we'd have
- 57:53Speaker 10: to talk some other times. He popped up anyway. Just
- 57:58Speaker 10: as Jake parked his car in front of my apartment.
- 58:01Speaker 10: I saw my ex talking to Jake, and then I
- 58:04Speaker 10: got a call from Jake. He said he was going
- 58:07Speaker 10: to take a rain check because my son's father was
- 58:09Speaker 10: visibly upset, and he thinks that I should talk to him.
- 58:13Speaker 10: I was so mad that I didn't let my ex
- 58:15Speaker 10: come in. I cursed him out in the hallway, and
- 58:18Speaker 10: I hope my neighbors heard it. I finally gave him
- 58:21Speaker 10: something to cry about. This is not the first time
- 58:23Speaker 10: he has pulled this stunt. He is blocking my happiness,
- 58:27Speaker 10: and he thinks I owe him a second chance since
- 58:30Speaker 10: we have a son together. Jake said He's not trying
- 58:33Speaker 10: to break up a family, and I understand that, but
- 58:36Speaker 10: I had hoped that he would fight for me. How
- 58:38Speaker 10: do I get my cry baby X to find himself
- 58:41Speaker 10: a nice girl to date? Should I pick up and
- 58:43Speaker 10: move to another city? Listen, I'm glad you checked your ex.
- 58:49Speaker 10: I'm glad you did that because he was out of
- 58:51Speaker 10: order to do what he did. But no, you shouldn't
- 58:54Speaker 10: move to another city. The baby needs his father. They
- 58:57Speaker 10: need to be in the same city if they can that.
- 59:00Speaker 10: You know, it's not about you and your ex right now,
- 59:03Speaker 10: It's about the baby should come first. Okay, I know
- 59:07Speaker 10: your son is already here. But my question to you
- 59:10Speaker 10: is why were you dipping back with your ex in
- 59:13Speaker 10: the first place, I mean, without any protection after you
- 59:16Speaker 10: broke up with him. I know people do it all
- 59:18Speaker 10: the time, but you could have protected yourself. Remember why
- 59:22Speaker 10: you broke up with him in the first place. So
- 59:24Speaker 10: I'm just at a loss as to why you think
- 59:27Speaker 10: he has changed at all. I mean, you called him
- 59:30Speaker 10: an insecure cry baby, and what did you think was
- 59:33Speaker 10: gonna happen?
- 59:34Speaker 1: He showed you who he was.
- 59:36Speaker 10: You should have believed him. You know, you guys were
- 59:38Speaker 10: reckless to do this. So the best you can do
- 59:42Speaker 10: now is to talk to your baby daddy and try
- 59:44Speaker 10: to reason with him about some sort of responsible co
- 59:47Speaker 10: parenting here, since that's not really happening. The baby comes first,
- 59:51Speaker 10: like I said, and Jake, like many men in his position,
- 59:56Speaker 10: doesn't want the drama. This is drama to Jake. All
- 59:59Speaker 10: this drama that comes with you and the baby daddy
- 1:00:01Speaker 10: and all of this stuff and driving up to your
- 1:00:04Speaker 10: house and cussing him out, all that's drama. Your ex
- 1:00:07Speaker 10: is full of it, this drama because he wants you back.
- 1:00:11Speaker 10: It's not that your new boyfriend, Jake doesn't care about
- 1:00:14Speaker 10: you and your son, Obviously he does. It's just said
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: he sees you, your ex, and your son as a family.
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: Like he said, he doesn't want to tamper with that.
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: He'd rather move on, and who can blame him with
- 1:00:25Speaker 10: all this stuff you got going on, So clean up
- 1:00:28Speaker 10: your mess first with your ex before you try to
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: get serious with the man. That's my advice to you,
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: Steve Well.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: Ain't this an interesting letter? I was debating as I
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: was listening to Shirley how I was going to approach
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: this letter. But it's only one way to do it straightforward,
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: dead down the middle as I go. Now, you were
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: in a long distance relationship, this woman writes for four years.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: The subject is my son's dad is blocking my happiness.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: You're in the long RelA relationship for four years. When
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: I broke up with the guy see long distance meaning
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: you don't get to see him all the time. He
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: moved to my city and I ended up getting pregnant
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: by him. After the breakup, I was already done with him,
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: but now I'm tied to this insecure cry baby.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Of a man for life because of our son.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: We try to copey it, but he can understand, not
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: understand that that that's it, nothing else.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Now here's the letter. I was dating somebody for about
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: three months.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: I tried to keep it from my ex mister insecure crabbe,
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: but my son told his dad about how mommy and
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: Jake liked to watch TV with him. I got a
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: call from the daddy in his whiny voice, and he
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: asked me who is Jake, and so I told him
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: Jake is a great man and he was very kind
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: to our son. I can hear him sniffling, so I
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: knew he was crying.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Who Jake?
- 1:02:08Speaker 16: Why?
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: Why's she watching TV and in front of ourself. He
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: told me I was watching TV and he was right
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: there between y'all. He to hold me how much he
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: like watching TV, which.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: With y'all, and.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: You know I would I don't just won't know. Why
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: would you do that something like that? You just watching
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: TV with this boy in front of ourseln and he
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: trying to he got to go, He got to go
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: to school in the morning, and y'all got him watch
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: watch the TV with y'all.
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: You going.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Hang on, Steve, okay, hey.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Yes you can a.
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:03:08Speaker 10: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strubberry letter subject
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: my son's daddy is blocking my happiness.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops swift for
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even

- 1:03:55Speaker 5: or your money back?
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strubberry letter.
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: This subject is my son's daddy is blocking my happiness?
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got this.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: Lady was in the long this relationship with this guy,
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: cry baby whyy man. She didn't know that about him
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: because she wasn't around him enough, you know. But and
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: then just got she Then he moved to the city
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: and y'all ended up. You got pregnant by him after
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: the breakup. I was already done with him because of
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: some other stuff that happened. But now I'm tied to
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: this insecure crib davy man because of our son. We
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: tried to coppaying, but he can't understand that that's just
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: gonna be it.
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: Nothing else.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Then you say you was dating this new guy for
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: about three months.
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: I tried to keep it from my ask, but my
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: son told us daddy how Mommy and Jake like to
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: watch TV with him.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: I got a call from his daddy and he's whiney
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: for him. Hey, don't act like you don't know who
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: he is. Who is?
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: So I told him he was a very kind man,
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: and he was very kind to ourselves. I could hear
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: him stiff this, so I knew he was crushing. Answer,
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: you fool jack, you're gonna tell me that you here?
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: Jake was whytch you TV with your boy? She got
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: to go to school?
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Why is he why?
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: He and I cried and sent him here trying to
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: be this other, trying to be the father for this baby.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: You gonna sit up here and go sit up and
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: watching TV. Went to Jacob Bron Bron baby.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: I knew he was crying. He told me he was
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: on my way to the house so we could talk.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: I had a hold away. Come on away, I'm coming over.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: So you can see if you got to see me cry,
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: he stumbling and just snippering. Ain't doing what I needed
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: to do.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: He needed see me.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: I'm a drive over there while and so I had
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: a dinner date with Jake. So I told my ex
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: that we'd have to talk some other times. He popped
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: up anyway, just as Jake parked his car in front
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: of my apartment. I saw my ex talking to Jake,
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: and then I got a call from Jake. Hey, Jake,
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: here's you.
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: Jake.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Wait, Jake you, Jake, He looked like you could be kind.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: She said that you were kind to me.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: No, you, Jake be calling you in. I think you
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: should know something. Hell love her and he don't. He
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: is myself and we was gonna begether, but you was
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: blocking because now you over he being off strong and
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: everything I'm saying. I mean, so now Jake and nick
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: named him Pad. Jake called him. So Jake called. So
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: you got a call from Jake, And Jake said he
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: was gonna take a rain check because your son's father
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: was visibly a sick and he thinked I should talk
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: to him. So he said, this is what Jake said,
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: I think you ought to talk to him. So she said,
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: why are you calling him Pass? Then Jake said, because
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: that's the new nickname I gave him. She said, what
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: did that mean? He said, your son's pucket dad, and
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: so his pucket daddy had called up him, and so
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: you need to tell him Pad. You need to talk
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: to Pam. So I was so mad I didn't let
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: my ex come in. I cursed him out in the hallway.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: Why are you cussing here?
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: I want all I want to do it come here
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: and watch you like you be doing with Jake, with
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: you you want watch me from Jake and everything.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: And I would have told Jake, I told you right now.
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: I told you Jay outside, I said, you're drinking ever
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: had his family, and you need to stop all this
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: hell because you need to go somewhere else.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: The other womenses out.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: Here, other women's his other women's is out here with
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: you all up everybody, baby mate, and my son he
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: like it you.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: And so then.
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: I cursed him out in the hallway and I said, cousin,
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: stop going to be in front of me kids.
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: And so this is not the first time he is
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: pulling this stunt.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: He is blocking my happiness and he thinks I want
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: him a second chance because we have a son together.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Jake said, he's not trying to break up a family.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: I understand that, but I hoped that he would fight
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: for me. Jake said, well, I would fight for you,
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: but I'm not never hit a woman before. I don't
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: tell you that.
- 1:08:50Speaker 10: What.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I can't fight for you because I ain't.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: Never hit a woman before, because because of Pad, because
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: he's drunking yet keep like a woman. I just feel
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: like it be hard for me to fight it because
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: I was raised better than that. How do I get
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: my crop bettery x to find himself a nice girl today?
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: You know, because see I can't get nobody else cause
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: you know how I be crying and stuff and don't
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: like every time I'm only date with somebody and they
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: asked me was I had a relationship. I gotta start
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: trying and telling them about you. And then ain't no
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: WANs be bothering me because everybody don't want to or
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: say anything like so now you the only watern't go
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: sleep with me? And I'm trying and all the women
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: just get up there and walk away.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: And you know how it is.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: You know, I like this cry you don't go away out?
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: I like a time.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: Why you gonna turn me?
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: Guys?
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: Ain't nobody put it up with you? But you know
- 1:09:50Speaker 7: I need you because I need somebody tolerate my buck.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:09:58Speaker 10: I know, done Today's strawberry letter at Steve Hark and
- 1:10:06Speaker 10: Facebook and letter kind of pass on demand.

- 1:10:26Speaker 5: even after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper

- 1:12:05Speaker 2: them back loose. We're turning back loose into the wire.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: We just need them for a day, y'all.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: Yeah, righting the snake eggs hatch and bite one of
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: the babies, thank you.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Maybe it's over there and the bushes just shaken.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Now we got to go to the hospital to get up.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: It is a Easter egg hunt. It is a hunt,
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: so hey, you might get a hunted. All right, let's
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: keep going. Now, this is a good one. This is
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: a good one. Y'all already know we've seen it we've
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: seen the documentaries on me them penguin egg them egg
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: We get some penguin eggs and paint them penguin eggs. Now,
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: that's a nice that's nice for kids. Penguin egg they
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: stay with you know cold that you know they come.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: I have a heat stroke. It's ride out here in Georgia.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: The whole penguin is on his side.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: Junior, you ain't gonna be able to go get the plies.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: You worry about the cold part because he got to go.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: Speak. All right, all right, penguin egg might not work.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: How about do you just get these big eggs? Then?
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: How about them? I street's egg them big ones. You
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: know what I'm talking about? Where you're gonna hide them?
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Get it bigger than the kids?
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: No, I got a better question. Does he think what.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: He thinks he does?
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: I can't believe we gave him a segment?
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: These are good eggs that people are not using.
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: What are you?
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: What's wrong with y'all? This is good eggs stuff. Okay,
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: I got three eggs left. I got turkey eggs, I
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: got turtle eggs, and I got lifted eggs. Now, which
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: one of y'all want?
- 1:13:45Speaker 9: None of the ball what else do you gonna get
- 1:13:47Speaker 9: your family with these turtle eggs?
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: Gonna get your people?
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: Have a whole easter egg hunt, Tommy, if you get
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: one can of fish eggs.
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: So small?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: All right, nephew, thank you.
- 1:14:07Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, so Steve
- 1:14:14Speaker 10: Dion on Facebook rights. My roommate is one of those
- 1:14:18Speaker 10: quote don't trust doctors type people, and yet he's always
- 1:14:22Speaker 10: got something wrong with him, be it an illness or
- 1:14:25Speaker 10: rash or whatever. He treats the stuff he reads on
- 1:14:27Speaker 10: the internet like it's the gospel. And the other morning
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: he brought some coconut oil because he read that it
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: would make his jock itch go away. Literally, I'm sitting
- 1:14:37Speaker 10: on the couch and see him grab a handful of
- 1:14:40Speaker 10: the stuff and shove it down his pants. When I
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: say go see a doctor, he acts like I said
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: something crazy.
- 1:14:46Speaker 14: Uh.
- 1:14:47Speaker 10: Anyway, how do you talk to someone who's unreasonable and
- 1:14:50Speaker 10: won't listen even with it when it's in their best interest?
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: If we take a half full of coconut and jam
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: it down his shorts and start massaging his jockey, we
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: need it.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: You need no roommate. Dog, Hey, dog, Hey, man, hey, yo, yo, yo,
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: yo yo.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: What do you want?
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: What you do with dog? You just touch the light
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: switch after that?
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: This is too much.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: It's a lot. New roommate what what? What does he do?
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: What does dion do?
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: You need a new roommate.
- 1:15:34Speaker 10: So he gotta be oneting to know how he talks
- 1:15:36Speaker 10: to how talk to him? Because he's unreasonable and he
- 1:15:39Speaker 10: won't listen.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: You live with an unreasonable person? Why mm hmm.
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: If you can't afford to rent, move to a one bedroom.
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: You don't need a two bedroom because guess what, he
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: and the other bedroom. So take your rent and go
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: get one bedroom or efficiency so you can be happy.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: But what I'm not going to do is be sitting
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: here watching the game. You got a handful of coconut three,
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: it down your past. It didn't stop jockey. That's lebron, lebron.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Why you steady?
- 1:16:08Speaker 7: Just massage and this cocut all into your jockey.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: No dumb you know.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: And Nick turned around here talking about talking to me,
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: Hey bro, me and you ain't gonna have no conversation.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: Why are you rubbing yourself with your cocain at all?
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: And that was not all right?
- 1:16:23Speaker 6: Okay, that's it.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: We do have time for one more.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna get a saying what you want, one.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Don't well, don't know saying don't touch the hand though.
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: No.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: See this one came from a Steve Harvey f M.
- 1:16:40Speaker 10: And this is from Kenneth who says, on Saturday, my
- 1:16:43Speaker 10: wife came home and I noticed dease on the rims
- 1:16:46Speaker 10: of three of our cars, four tires.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: I asked her what happened. Her answer tripped me out.
- 1:16:51Speaker 10: She said, our toddler son, who rides in a car seat,
- 1:16:54Speaker 10: just loves it when she hits potholes, and seems to
- 1:16:58Speaker 10: think it's a ride. So my aims for them so
- 1:17:01Speaker 10: she can hear our kid giggle. Now, how can I
- 1:17:05Speaker 10: approach this conversation? These repairs are going to cost us
- 1:17:08Speaker 10: a lot of money that we don't have.
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: Hey, baby, listen, what you could do is you can
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: take that costly out and drop it on the ground
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: and he can get that same effect that our people potholes.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Don't believe her, You believe this. This is not a
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: lot made up.
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: Because it's oh no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: No no no, you can't make this up. Yeah, that's true,
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: because she's not denying that it's her. She's telling you
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: how she's nick these tithing and she's running in potholes.
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: But the damage to your car, to your axle, to
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: your realms and all of that is costly. Now, baby
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: need to find another way to get entertained. Right, you
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: know what he needs to do is just don't take
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: it to sleep sinsue in.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: That cost he like most babies.
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: Yeah, you need to quit trying to find ways to
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: entertain him, I said, brug So you got to go
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: say listen, baby, to get these rhythms. Fixes don't cost money.
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: So I don't think we should entertain the children. And
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: then it could be it. It could cause an accident
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: for you. You go in one of these potholes, you
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: have a blowout, lose control of the car. Now you're
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: in a really serious accident. And I don't want nothing
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: to happen to you.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: To you baby.
- 1:18:21Speaker 4: Now, I don't know who that baby is. We keep
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: riding around that we don't really know. But if he
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: wants some excitement, we can strap it to the hood
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: while you're gonna put it in the trunk. If he
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: wants some excitement, let him ride in the trunk and
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: don't strap it down. Just let that cause he take
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: these curves how it want to it? Since he like
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: laughing and stuff like.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Mister, Yeah, all right.
- 1:18:50Speaker 10: Anyway, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:18:54Speaker 10: coming up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:03Speaker 6: All right.

- 1:19:08Speaker 10: lot of people get you know, a lot of kids
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: get Easter baskets.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: So here's the question. If you were to receive an
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: adult Easter basket, what would you want in it? What
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: would you want in your Steve?
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: Oh, are you asking me now? Or if when I
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: was single?
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: I think when you were single would be more interesting,
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: So let's go with that.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: Yeah, the Easter Bunny would actually be a girl.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: The bunny in the girl yeah, Jessica rabbit in female form,
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: but in live Oh lord, yeah, that'd been my Easter basket.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Yeah I like that? All right?

- 1:19:58Speaker 2: Yes? Los now back when I was single, back when
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: I was singing?

- 1:20:21Speaker 2: That's what I need.
- 1:20:25Speaker 9: I gotta big get way over to somebody house. That's

- 1:26:17Speaker 1: my friend?
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: Well, I I want to keep motivating people. One of
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: the greatest motivations in my life was my dreams. My
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: dreams were so motivating to me because it put me
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: in a place of not so much focusing on where
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: I was, but it caused me to put my focus
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: on where I was headed, and so as dismal as
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: the where I was was, it didn't throw me off
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: as sinking of a feeling as I had at times
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: in my life. Because of my dream I didn't feel
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: sunken as low as I had gotten at some points
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: in my life, I didn't ever think I wasn't gonna
- 1:27:10Speaker 4: ever come up because.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: Of my dreams.
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: My dreams inspired me to keep going. So what I'm
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: saying to you is this. People ask me, Steve, what
- 1:27:27Speaker 4: motivates you? What makes you keep going? It's my dreams
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: what causes you to keep getting up, going to work
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: when you sick, fighting through all the stuff they saying
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: about you. How do you handle all this negativity around
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: you and you just keep going? It's my dreams. It's
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: my faith in God. It's my faith in God that
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: there's no way He brought me this far to leave me.
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: That because you hating on me. You ain't my God,
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: you ain't my savior. You can't hate me out.
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: Of what He has for me.
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: And you're hating me cannot stop nothing God has for
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: me or for you. So my faith in God and
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: my dreams have been my motivation. Motivation. Look at here now,
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: just a good one. Motivation is when your dreams put
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: on work clothes.
- 1:28:27Speaker 7: Did you hear me?
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: Motivation is when your dreams put on work clothes, when
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: your dreams dress up and go to work. That's the motivation. Nah,
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: you motivated? You don't put some work clothes on them dreams.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: Because see, you can stay sleep and have your dreams,
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: or you can wake up and you can chase them.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: You need to wake up and chase them. You need
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: to wake up and chase them dreams. You need to
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: put some work clothes on them, jeans. You got to
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: get some grit, some dirty on you. You got to
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: put work clothes on your dreams. That's your motivation. I'm
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: motivated because, man, my dreams, they keep me going because
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: it means I'm headed somewhere. Your dreams make your head somewhere. Man,
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: you ain't gotta get stuck on here. Like I tell
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: people all the time, I keep a plaque in my
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: office in Atlanta that says, and a dude send it
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: to me. A friend of mine, when I was going
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: through a bunch of messed up stuff, he send me
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: a plaque that says, if you going through hell, just
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: keep going.
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: Why would you stop there? Why would you stop in hell?
- 1:29:38Speaker 7: You going through hell?
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: Just keep going?
- 1:29:41Speaker 7: Because I'm heading somewhere.
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: So all the hell I've been through, I survive at
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: all because of my dreams, because of my faith. Because
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: my dreams allow me to think that the better day
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: is coming. So if a better day is coming, why
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: am I tripping so hard on what's happening today? Because
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: I know the better day is coming. Because one day, somehow,
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: my God gonna make my dreams come true, simply because
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: how you know that's TV because he said he would. Now,
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: you tell me one thing he said that ain't popped off.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: You tell me one promise.
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: He made he ain't kept.
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: You tell me one thing he'd bene assured you of
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: that you can't rest assured that's gonna propably.
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: Just name it.
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: I'm listening. I'm listening. I'm listening. See, I got that much.
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: Sense as a Christian, as flawed as I am, I
- 1:30:37Speaker 4: have that much sense as a Christian. So those Christians
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: of you that's better than me, congratulations. But guess what
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: I know that about him?
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: Know?
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: I know that his promises is true, and I got
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: enough sense to lean on them. So when you see
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: me falling and making mistakes and doing something wrong and
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: not staying on the white line, you can quit tripping
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: with me. I'll get back on him line. Just give
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: me a minute. I just fell off. I just made
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: a mistake, that's all.
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: I said. Something I shouldn't have said. I went somewhere.
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: I shouldn't have went. I got that. I'm gonna get
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: it together.
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: Lord forgive me and what he gonna do, and I'm
- 1:31:13Speaker 4: gonna get back up, and I'm gonna get it right agreeing,
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: I'm gonna get it right again. My dreams motivate me.
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: My faith motivates me. Motivation is when your dreams put
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: on work clothes. You did, That's what motivation is. When
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: I'm going to do something about making what I dream
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: about come true. My dreams got work clothes on them.
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: So when you see me out there, my dreams got
- 1:31:37Speaker 4: on work clothes. I'm trying to make it happen. My
- 1:31:42Speaker 4: faith in God gonna make sure that happen. And I
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: just give him something to touch my dream. Those are
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: my clothes remarks to day. All put on work, you better.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: Get it right.
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: Keep it.
