- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice Come on now dig me want and only
- 2:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got what radio show man? What you're doing
- 2:16Speaker 1: with it? Trying to do the very very best I
- 2:19Speaker 1: can with it? I really am. You know I get
- 2:22Speaker 1: tired sometimes on my journey. I'm not gonna kid you. UM.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Trying to make something about yourself is is a task. UM.
- 2:34Speaker 1: If you want to attempt to do something and and
- 2:37Speaker 1: and understand going in that that the if the thing
- 2:42Speaker 1: you're trying to do is to improve yourself, to better
- 2:46Speaker 1: your position, to better your relationship, your family, anything. You're
- 2:52Speaker 1: trying to be a better you. You're trying to make
- 2:55Speaker 1: more money, you're trying to get it together, you're trying
- 2:59Speaker 1: to change if any of those things in your hopes
- 3:04Speaker 1: and dreams. Know this right here, you are about to
- 3:09Speaker 1: face some challenges. But you might as well go ahead
- 3:14Speaker 1: anyway and face those challenges, because if you don't, you
- 3:19Speaker 1: have a whole another set of challenges to face. You know,
- 3:22Speaker 1: it's a it's a It's an amazing thing, man, How
- 3:25Speaker 1: people sit around and they watch other people strike out
- 3:29Speaker 1: to become successful. They sit in the stands watching these
- 3:33Speaker 1: people play out these games, and they and they and
- 3:36Speaker 1: they criticize, They boo, they laugh at their efforts and everything,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and they talk about the fairies. He missed that game
- 3:44Speaker 1: when it shot. Boy, he sucked. Man, he did this.
- 3:47Speaker 1: He ain't worth that man high in the world. She
- 3:49Speaker 1: stepped on that line right at that man. She can't
- 3:52Speaker 1: shoot nothing. She made a shot all day. Man. You
- 3:55Speaker 1: see this guy, he aired everybody dunking on him. This
- 3:58Speaker 1: dude right here, man, he ain't he ain't. He ain't
- 4:01Speaker 1: been on base in thirty five games. Man, This dude
- 4:04Speaker 1: right here ain't nothing. They're paying him all that money.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I hear people who sitting stands who criticize people who
- 4:13Speaker 1: are out there on the playing field. Now, when you're
- 4:17Speaker 1: on the playing field, you have a set of challenges
- 4:21Speaker 1: in front of you. You're going to be open to criticism.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You're going to be open to ridicule. You're going to
- 4:28Speaker 1: be talked about when you don't know the people who
- 4:31Speaker 1: are talking about you. Now, here's the upside to being
- 4:40Speaker 1: the player on the field that's facing all the challenges,
- 4:43Speaker 1: to criticisms, the laughing, the joke, to being talked about.
- 4:49Speaker 1: He has something going for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl,
- 4:56Speaker 1: man has an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity
- 5:03Speaker 1: to win. And then the game of life. Just because
- 5:08Speaker 1: you lose one of the games, or you lose one
- 5:11Speaker 1: of the matches, it don't mean you've lost. You don't
- 5:15Speaker 1: get put out. You keep playing. And when you're playing,
- 5:20Speaker 1: here's the upside. You have the opportunity to win. And
- 5:24Speaker 1: but guess what, You're gonna win some of the matches.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the points, You're gonna make,
- 5:29Speaker 1: some of the dunks, you're gonna hit some of them
- 5:30Speaker 1: over the wall. You're gonna hit some of out the park,
- 5:33Speaker 1: You're gonna score some goals. You will if you're playing
- 5:38Speaker 1: the game. Here's the problem with the people who don't
- 5:43Speaker 1: face criticism, who nobody boos the cheers for, who sits
- 5:48Speaker 1: in the stands and knows neither victory nor defeat. Those people,
- 5:56Speaker 1: without realizing it, are facing a set of challenges also,
- 6:02Speaker 1: And the challenges they're facing is how I'm gonna live
- 6:05Speaker 1: with myself? What I'm gonna do? Now? What direction am
- 6:13Speaker 1: I going in? Where am I gonna live? Wonder what job?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Or hire me? I wonder if I can get paid
- 6:25Speaker 1: for criticize? Oh woe is me? I can't find the
- 6:32Speaker 1: purpose in my life? And man, I'm just waking up
- 6:36Speaker 1: in a state of confusion. I don't know what to do. Now,
- 6:40Speaker 1: let me ask you something which one of them said,
- 6:43Speaker 1: of challenges you'd rather be faced with. Because if I'm
- 6:47Speaker 1: on the flow playing, if I'm on the field playing,
- 6:50Speaker 1: if I'm out on the court playing, then guess what
- 6:54Speaker 1: I got a chance that winning? But guess what I'm
- 6:57Speaker 1: doing every day while I'm playing. I'm strategizing. I'm waking
- 7:01Speaker 1: up with a purpose. I'm waking up trying to come
- 7:04Speaker 1: up with another angle. I'm in pursuit of a goal
- 7:09Speaker 1: every single day versus the people in the stands who
- 7:17Speaker 1: know neither victory nor defeat. But they got the nerve
- 7:23Speaker 1: to boot, They got the nerve to criticize any time
- 7:28Speaker 1: I see him, He got that on any time, and
- 7:30Speaker 1: he think he is He think, do you do you
- 7:32Speaker 1: know people like that? Of course you do. Now you
- 7:36Speaker 1: gotta and you gotta make sure though that you're not
- 7:38Speaker 1: the person that we're talking about. Get on the field,
- 7:44Speaker 1: get on the court, get in the game. Face the challenges.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Better yourself, better your wife, better your children, better your condition,
- 7:54Speaker 1: better your employment status, better your job, better your career,
- 7:57Speaker 1: start your business, man, invest take a shot. Come on, man,
- 8:01Speaker 1: what you're waiting on? Because the alternative is to watch
- 8:06Speaker 1: other people play the game? You know what I just do?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Sometimes sometimes I just I get Forbes magazine or Money magazine,
- 8:15Speaker 1: or sometimes I still grab a copy of the Robb Report.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I just flipped through it just to see get I
- 8:21Speaker 1: used to get these This book called Unique Homes. Unique
- 8:25Speaker 1: Homes is a magazine that just has a lot of
- 8:28Speaker 1: extravagant houses that's on sale across the country. Across the world.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I used to just flipped through. Man, let me just see, man,
- 8:36Speaker 1: what the people that's playing the game out there doing.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Stop watching other people become successful when you could very
- 8:43Speaker 1: easily be you if you make the decision. But when
- 8:47Speaker 1: you make the decision to become successful, get ready for
- 8:50Speaker 1: a series of challenges. But if you don't accept the challenge, man,
- 8:56Speaker 1: look at the challenge us you face with. That's the
- 8:59Speaker 1: hard part. Man. For me, personally, I think it's harder
- 9:03Speaker 1: to be nothing. For me personally, I think it's more
- 9:07Speaker 1: difficult not to accept the challenge. I think it's for me.
- 9:13Speaker 1: This is just for me. It may not be the
- 9:14Speaker 1: case for you. For me, I think it's far more
- 9:17Speaker 1: difficult to wake up and just see how life gonna
- 9:19Speaker 1: go today, because, man, it could just deal you any
- 9:22Speaker 1: kind of hand today. You understand, I don't like you know, spades.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Let's let's talk a card game, folks. The game of spades, really, man,
- 9:35Speaker 1: ain't a whole lot you can do if you don't
- 9:36Speaker 1: get no spades. Really, it's a little couple of little
- 9:40Speaker 1: strategies you're gonna do. But you can have all this ace, king, queen,
- 9:43Speaker 1: diamond all you want, But man, you ain't got no spades.
- 9:46Speaker 1: They're cutting them. You're in trouble being with different game.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You can create what's in your hand. You got dealt
- 9:54Speaker 1: a hand too, But you can create a hand. You
- 9:57Speaker 1: can call a trump. You can diamonds your spades. You
- 10:01Speaker 1: can make hard to clubs your spades. That's what I'm saying.
- 10:04Speaker 1: That's what it is. You can do something with it.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It's a different game, man. You can strategize. I would
- 10:10Speaker 1: rather have a say so in my life than to
- 10:12Speaker 1: wake up every day and just see how it's going.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I think it's more difficult to not accept the challenge
- 10:18Speaker 1: to be something than it is to accept the challenge
- 10:20Speaker 1: to be something. I think it's more difficult to sit
- 10:23Speaker 1: around and not be nothing. I think it's harder to
- 10:26Speaker 1: watch everybody's life going somewhere but mine. I think it
- 10:29Speaker 1: would be very difficult for me to sit here and
- 10:32Speaker 1: hear them talking about other people that never mentioned my name.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I would be difficult for me to see everybody rise
- 10:38Speaker 1: and getting promotions accept me. That would be difficult for me.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It may not be for you, but for me it
- 10:43Speaker 1: would be quite challenging. I would rather accept the challenge
- 10:47Speaker 1: of making something out of my life than to sit
- 10:50Speaker 1: there and criticize those and then watch and see how
- 10:53Speaker 1: my life just may go. Okay, just a thought today

- 14:20Speaker 1: you making this? All right? Well, while you chew on that,
- 14:25Speaker 1: we're gonna chew on this. In the words of John Cornelius,
- 14:29Speaker 1: you know, we talked about a lot of stuff on
- 14:31Speaker 1: this show, but I gotta ask you, what's the craziest
- 14:33Speaker 1: thing or the weirdest thing that you were caught doing
- 14:36Speaker 1: red handed? All right, that's for something funny. We got
- 14:42Speaker 1: to talk about it when we come back. You're listening
- 14:45Speaker 1: to the Steve Hardy Morning Show. It is time for
- 14:48Speaker 1: something funny now, Steve, I wanted to ask you and
- 14:51Speaker 1: and the guys as well, what's the weirdest or the
- 14:55Speaker 1: craziest thing you were caught doing red handed? Something you
- 14:59Speaker 1: know you weren't supposed to do, but it was crazy though.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Maybe it was something you were looking up online, or
- 15:05Speaker 1: maybe it was an embarrassing moment in the bathroom you
- 15:07Speaker 1: told us about when you were a chess at your
- 15:11Speaker 1: girlfriend's house one time and you had a real bad explosion. Uh,
- 15:16Speaker 1: sell anything something that happened during you know, on the
- 15:19Speaker 1: job on everything. I mean, which one you won't hand
- 15:25Speaker 1: bust you under rish your body down unheard all these
- 15:33Speaker 1: statements in my life right there? Put your chat you
- 15:39Speaker 1: hands up, Yeah, I've had all which one? You want
- 15:44Speaker 1: something funny? She went, None of the funny. Getting busted
- 15:49Speaker 1: just ain't funny. Right. Have you been caught button nick?
- 15:52Speaker 1: Have you been caught button nick? No, I ain't been
- 15:57Speaker 1: caught button naked. That's our story. Well you know I
- 16:01Speaker 1: want it. Well, i'll tell you what time I will.
- 16:06Speaker 1: You know that. But I wanted to get caught. I
- 16:11Speaker 1: was at the girl's house one time. She was at work,
- 16:15Speaker 1: and I told her I was gonna cook for when
- 16:17Speaker 1: she came in. So I got over to the house
- 16:21Speaker 1: and set it all up and I cooked everything. I
- 16:25Speaker 1: cooked pretty good. You know, I was young, and I
- 16:27Speaker 1: was young dude then. So she had a duplex town house.
- 16:32Speaker 1: The kitchen, living room downstairs, two bedrooms was upstairs. And
- 16:37Speaker 1: uh I decided to go on upstairs and wait for
- 16:41Speaker 1: you know, I haven't done all this cooking all afternoon,
- 16:44Speaker 1: and uh so I just had a trail of clothes
- 16:49Speaker 1: all the way up the steps. I'm under the cover nicket, okay,
- 16:56Speaker 1: looking like new money shower. I got so much baby
- 17:01Speaker 1: all on me. This was before I knew how to
- 17:02Speaker 1: handle baby. I had so much baby all on me.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I don't ruin her sheets? Yeah, all in my hell excess, man, baby,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I didn't know what I was doing then. And uh
- 17:17Speaker 1: she was picking up the clothes, coming up step, laughing,
- 17:19Speaker 1: you're so crazy. Oh you're so crazy. You know. I had,
- 17:24Speaker 1: you know, one sock being another sock, you know belt,
- 17:29Speaker 1: you know drawl, you know, sure, just calf all that
- 17:35Speaker 1: placed up the steps. The last thing was a draw. Yeah.
- 17:40Speaker 1: She got up there and I snatched the covers off.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm butt niked, but I got so much all on me.
- 17:50Speaker 1: All she said was, oh my god, look at my sheets.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I said, your ship laying much of the sheet, folk,
- 18:01Speaker 1: but you need to wearry about rand with sheets. But
- 18:04Speaker 1: that that's I don't know what you're talking about. Look
- 18:08Speaker 1: at all the sheet. She was so mad because I
- 18:12Speaker 1: had baby all on the sheet. She missed the point,
- 18:17Speaker 1: the whole damn point. Oh man, so end happening, not
- 18:22Speaker 1: a damn thing. She mad real attitude too about her sheet.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Some sheets. So I got up you know, no hell no,
- 18:30Speaker 1: just reg Lanss cotton sheet. Now I'm going down. I
- 18:34Speaker 1: gotta collect all my stuff all way back down the damn. Still,
- 18:38Speaker 1: Ain't this about nothing. I'm putting stuff on on the stairways.
- 18:41Speaker 1: So when I got to the bottom, I was fully
- 18:43Speaker 1: dressed because I took the stuff off strategically. So I
- 18:47Speaker 1: just put it back on the same way. You got
- 18:49Speaker 1: my drawls yea and parts shut. Yeah, my socks, my shoot.
- 18:56Speaker 1: By the time I got to the bottom, I just
- 18:58Speaker 1: got on dress on, got my car on him. Laugh. Yeah.
- 19:02Speaker 1: What what you're nothing to do is be mad at
- 19:04Speaker 1: me all this damn time. What happened to the meal
- 19:10Speaker 1: and the spaghetti in the salad in the frigerator? Got
- 19:15Speaker 1: a you got you put on your clothes and got
- 19:22Speaker 1: in your car and went home. What happened the next day? Not?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Ain't doing talk for a while, Okay. Then she called me.
- 19:29Speaker 1: She said, so, I ain't heard from you. You ain't
- 19:33Speaker 1: heard from you, now you know? She called my partner,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I ain't heard from you, because you know, I hate
- 19:41Speaker 1: to tell y'all this what no sale on him back.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I ain't heard from you, I said, way, what what
- 19:48Speaker 1: what you want to hear from me? I spent all
- 19:50Speaker 1: that time cooking you a meal on all you complained
- 19:52Speaker 1: about it. I'm sorry. No here, I'm sorry, nothing. I
- 19:56Speaker 1: see how you are, see your ass crazy. I ain't
- 20:00Speaker 1: get involved with you. So that was it? Yeah, yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 1: it never went nowhere? Did you buy her some new sheets?
- 20:09Speaker 1: Some sheetsh them? Hey? What number? Baby on that dog?
- 20:20Speaker 1: Did they bad sheets? But you complain you missed the point? Skip,
- 20:25Speaker 1: thank you for cooking the meal. All this hit none
- 20:27Speaker 1: of that, you know? She laughing up the steps at
- 20:31Speaker 1: the clothes. But get up there and now she she
- 20:34Speaker 1: hit a switch so hard she just that damn man
- 20:37Speaker 1: about this baby all on this sheet. I'll tell you what.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I ain't gonna stop doing. I
- 20:41Speaker 1: ain't gonna stop using baby all. I'll check you that
- 20:44Speaker 1: I might be a loucal crow or a little rookie
- 20:46Speaker 1: at the kno because I'm twenty one, But I tell
- 20:48Speaker 1: you what I'm loving how to work? Ye, well that
- 20:53Speaker 1: sixty one. I am a baby all specially I'm a

- 21:31Speaker 1: saw him butt naked. Tell me I didn't call him.

- 23:27Speaker 1: the choir director. The choir director. Hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 23:35Speaker 1: to reach Lorenzo. Lorenzo play speaking calling. Hi, this is uh.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm Bernard. I'm giving your call on behalf of Missionary
- 23:46Speaker 1: Baptist Church and uh doing a follow up. Actually you
- 23:50Speaker 1: you've you've been the choad director there right for what
- 23:55Speaker 1: is it close to six years now, five and a
- 23:58Speaker 1: half years, okay, And for my understanding, you're doing a
- 24:01Speaker 1: great job. Everyone seems to love what you're doing on
- 24:04Speaker 1: Sunday mornings, which is definitely a blessing for the entire congregation. Right, So,
- 24:09Speaker 1: what I was giving you a call on is there
- 24:12Speaker 1: seems to be a bit of discrepancy with some of
- 24:15Speaker 1: the antics that is going on when you are directing
- 24:18Speaker 1: the choir on Sunday mornings. Again. Now, no, no, come no,
- 24:24Speaker 1: come again. You said antics, Well, some of the members
- 24:27Speaker 1: who are you? Once again? I said, my name is Bernard,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and I'm actually calling on behind. What's your last thing, sir?
- 24:35Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not actually a member of uh huh,
- 24:38Speaker 1: but I've been asked to give you a call and
- 24:40Speaker 1: and bring some things to your attention, and and and
- 24:43Speaker 1: deliver the news that the church would like for you
- 24:45Speaker 1: to have. Okay, well, let me let me get back
- 24:49Speaker 1: to what I was. I was stating that some people
- 24:51Speaker 1: in the congregation are actually having a problem with your
- 24:54Speaker 1: antics when you're directing to quy uh different things that
- 24:58Speaker 1: they're not happy with. It is um sorrowful moment I
- 25:01Speaker 1: should say for me to have to come to you
- 25:03Speaker 1: and tell you that you know, as of today, which
- 25:06Speaker 1: is Sunday, we're gonna have to ask you to step
- 25:09Speaker 1: down as the minister of music. How I wants that
- 25:13Speaker 1: maybe I'm not hearing you correctly. You have a problem
- 25:16Speaker 1: with the Holy Spirit getting the hold of me. So
- 25:20Speaker 1: I direct the claws well, it's not necessarily, it's not
- 25:23Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit at all. If you can shot all day,
- 25:25Speaker 1: that has nothing to do with it. I guess, just
- 25:27Speaker 1: different antics that you have. You know that the congregation
- 25:30Speaker 1: is just not I need you to be a little
- 25:32Speaker 1: more clear on what you're saying antics. Please tell me
- 25:37Speaker 1: what you're saying. So is it that my half too long?
- 25:41Speaker 1: Is it that I look too cute when I'm in
- 25:43Speaker 1: the clad? What? What is it? I'm not I don't
- 25:46Speaker 1: want to hear it. Be that I want to go
- 25:47Speaker 1: take attack with you. Like I said, I'm not a member.
- 25:50Speaker 1: All I want you to say it. Please say it
- 25:53Speaker 1: your name. They fired me, they fired me today. I
- 25:57Speaker 1: want you to say it. And I want to know
- 25:59Speaker 1: if the path us to hide me, why didn't he
- 26:02Speaker 1: find me? Well, you know, it's it's it's kind of
- 26:05Speaker 1: like a business, you know, it's it's um. The higher ups,
- 26:09Speaker 1: uh really really keep their hands cleaning on these type
- 26:11Speaker 1: of things, and there's always someone that has to deliver
- 26:14Speaker 1: the message. You know. And I'm and I and you
- 26:16Speaker 1: know what, and I understand that, But I want you
- 26:19Speaker 1: to explain to me what answic Please tell me, Please
- 26:23Speaker 1: tell me. So I'm not listen. I'm not gonna sit
- 26:26Speaker 1: no no, no, no, no no no no. You call
- 26:29Speaker 1: to deliver the news. I need to know what answering. Okay,
- 26:33Speaker 1: are you wearing different half styles every other Sunday is?
- 26:38Speaker 1: Is your half just completely different? And to the Duti
- 26:42Speaker 1: shop ever said an the morning, And I want to
- 26:44Speaker 1: look to you just like everybody else want to look
- 26:46Speaker 1: cute on surd the morning, right right? Problem with that? So,
- 26:50Speaker 1: like I said, I'm just a message. I don't have
- 26:52Speaker 1: a problem with what you know. You're doing well. Who
- 26:55Speaker 1: has problems? Evidently people how to sew them helping? Now
- 26:58Speaker 1: that I'm looking better than m hm, okay, let let
- 27:01Speaker 1: me go ahead and ask you something else. Are you
- 27:04Speaker 1: wearing blue contact lenses? I had on greater day? My day,
- 27:09Speaker 1: I'm super was great, So I had on gress tonight
- 27:12Speaker 1: when I'm going back for the music, I was gonna
- 27:14Speaker 1: have my own green. You're gonna, sir you, Lorenzo, you
- 27:19Speaker 1: were gonna wear green contact lenses? Okay? Well are they prescribed?
- 27:24Speaker 1: They prescribed if I bought them, Lorenzo, these are the
- 27:27Speaker 1: type of antics that they're talking about. So y'all, I
- 27:31Speaker 1: want you to see it. I want you to see it,
- 27:33Speaker 1: y'a'll see please said I didn't say it. That's that's
- 27:39Speaker 1: that's that that never was stated, Lorenzo. But you asked
- 27:42Speaker 1: me about my cut at you asking me at my halt, right?
- 27:46Speaker 1: But I didn't ask you about anything else, tho Lorenzo. Well,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I just want you to get to the point, please, sir, please,
- 27:54Speaker 1: So what are you representing the church or what you r?
- 27:57Speaker 1: De partman? I don't understand I actually speak on behalf
- 28:00Speaker 1: of past. Well, I tell you what you tell be
- 28:04Speaker 1: called me himself because I'm gonna show us at the
- 28:06Speaker 1: musical to night, and I'm gonna have my green contact
- 28:09Speaker 1: on with my green so Learnzo. I'm asking you now
- 28:12Speaker 1: not to show up for the actual musical tonight. I'm
- 28:15Speaker 1: sure I'm gonna happen. You definitely won't be What's going

- 28:31Speaker 1: when I'm not gonna go back, and I'm still cute
- 28:34Speaker 1: for all y'all. That's what the problem is. Hey, look,
- 28:37Speaker 1: I don't have all day. I'm passing on the message
- 28:40Speaker 1: and that's clear. I'm just letting you understand that your
- 28:43Speaker 1: your job is completely terminated at this point. Is that understood?
- 28:46Speaker 1: I know I'm coming to the program tonight and I'm
- 28:50Speaker 1: gonna turn that I've been for five and a half years,
- 28:55Speaker 1: and we're gonna do it right. I'll let you know

- 35:00Speaker 1: near the border fence with Israel during protests against the
- 35:02Speaker 1: opening of the new embassy in Jerusalem. Israeli say they
- 35:06Speaker 1: have the right to self defense, and the U. S.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Ambassador to the U N. Nikki Haley, wholeheartedly agrees. In
- 35:11Speaker 1: recent days, Hamas terrorists backed by Iran have incided attacks
- 35:16Speaker 1: against Israeli security forces and infrastructure. Who among us would
- 35:21Speaker 1: accept this type of activity on your border. No one would.
- 35:26Speaker 1: No country in this chamber would act with more restraint
- 35:30Speaker 1: than Israel has. In fact, the records of several countries
- 35:34Speaker 1: here today suggests they would be much less restrained. People
- 35:39Speaker 1: thought she might have been referring to Russia or China,
- 35:41Speaker 1: but she didn't mention it. Haley blames Hamas for the violence.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Most members of the UN Security Council are critical of
- 35:46Speaker 1: the Jewish state for using what they say has been
- 35:48Speaker 1: disproportionate violence. The Israeli ambassadors of Belgium and Ireland are
- 35:53Speaker 1: being summoned by those governments. Turkeys asking the Israeli on
- 35:56Speaker 1: board to leave, so Israel's expelling Turkey's ambassador and the

- 36:09Speaker 1: group of African American Sorority sisters from forming a volunteer
- 36:12Speaker 1: community service along the stretch of the Pennsylvania Highway. They
- 36:15Speaker 1: adopted yes, they were stopped and questioned like they were
- 36:18Speaker 1: criminals by a white States trooper who even asked them
- 36:21Speaker 1: if they were fighting. The ladies are members of Sigma
- 36:24Speaker 1: Gamma Row. They even showed the cop they adopted highway sign.
- 36:26Speaker 1: They were all dressed alike, had trash bags and stuff,
- 36:29Speaker 1: but that wasn't enough. He asked to see each woman's
- 36:31Speaker 1: I d gave conflicting reasons for bothering them in the
- 36:34Speaker 1: first place. First he said, oh, I'm answering a call,
- 36:36Speaker 1: but later admitted that he just pulled over and decided
- 36:38Speaker 1: to question them with lights flashing, just because Sigma Gamma
- 36:42Speaker 1: Row was asking for a public apology from the Pennsylvania
- 36:45Speaker 1: State Highway patrolled. Folks in the Atlanta region lending their
- 36:48Speaker 1: hopes and their support to the family of Glendon and

- 36:54Speaker 1: with a host of birth defects, including spina biffitt and
- 36:57Speaker 1: congenital heart disease. Now, both the Marsons worked wherever. Three
- 37:00Speaker 1: months ago, Glendon, the father, suddenly had a heart attack
- 37:03Speaker 1: and died. So she knows all by herself. She's finding
- 37:06Speaker 1: it impossible to keep up with the doctor bills and

- 37:25Speaker 1: the top Junior league, needed the police escort for a
- 37:28Speaker 1: recent playoff game because of online threats and racist taunts.
- 37:31Speaker 1: For decades, black hockey plays at all levels have experienced
- 37:34Speaker 1: forms of racial abuse. By the way, sticking with sports

- 37:49Speaker 1: leader with more entertainment. Today's renting copis twenty minutes after
- 37:52Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show Well,
- 37:59Speaker 1: yesterday was the longest strawberry letter ever in the history
- 38:03Speaker 1: of strawberry letters in the eighteen years that we've been
- 38:06Speaker 1: doing strawberry letters. Uh subject, my sexy neighbor is stressing
- 38:10Speaker 1: me out. We had a lot of comments on social media.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I'll recap yesterday's letter. Basically, a husband called in. He
- 38:18Speaker 1: and his wife had just purchased a new home, and
- 38:21Speaker 1: his boys took him out to celebrate. They took him
- 38:23Speaker 1: out to a strip club. He got like really really drunk.
- 38:26Speaker 1: They ended up getting a private room and having strippers
- 38:29Speaker 1: come in there. One of the strippers did all kinds
- 38:32Speaker 1: of freaky things to him. Uh, you know, and when
- 38:36Speaker 1: he sobered up, he's all except go all the way. Yeah,
- 38:39Speaker 1: all except go all the way, he said. But when
- 38:42Speaker 1: he sobered up, he said that, you know, he regretted it.
- 38:45Speaker 1: He was mad at himself, and he told his boys
- 38:47Speaker 1: he would never do it again. So, uh, two weeks prior,
- 38:52Speaker 1: two weeks later, a new neighbor is moving into the community,
- 38:56Speaker 1: and uh, she moved in right next to him. Turns
- 38:59Speaker 1: out it was the stripper. Yeah, he and his wife
- 39:03Speaker 1: go over there to meet the new neighbors. Huh, he
- 39:10Speaker 1: won't go over there. Well, he went though, but he
- 39:13Speaker 1: did go. But the won't what he didn't know? He
- 39:15Speaker 1: didn't know, so he didn't mind going over He didn't
- 39:17Speaker 1: know at that time, Steve, he didn't know till he
- 39:19Speaker 1: got there that the neighbor was his stripper. This ain't nothing,
- 39:26Speaker 1: you might know, But do strippers have a clause like
- 39:29Speaker 1: you're not supposed to be able to talk about who
- 39:31Speaker 1: you dance for edwork? Don't they? They just want the money?
- 39:37Speaker 1: I think at this point. Yeah, it's what you don't
- 39:43Speaker 1: do and mess up your money by busting out your clients. No,
- 39:47Speaker 1: you don't do that. No. See, hookers don't tell you
- 39:50Speaker 1: who they customers. He is either, because it kills a
- 39:53Speaker 1: customer base. Are yeah, who their customers are? Sir? English
- 40:00Speaker 1: ain't got hing to do with six, not a damn thing,
- 40:05Speaker 1: because how many times said he, what are you doing?
- 40:12Speaker 1: I so haven't said, hey, what are you doing? Well?
- 40:19Speaker 1: I have anyway? Anyway, So they go, They go next
- 40:24Speaker 1: door to meet the to meet the new neighbor, and
- 40:27Speaker 1: it turns out it's the stripper. The husband is sweating bullets.
- 40:30Speaker 1: He's nervous. He doesn't know what to do. The wife
- 40:32Speaker 1: likes the strippers, she invites her over. She wants to
- 40:34Speaker 1: invite her over to their housewarming. The exchange numbers. The
- 40:37Speaker 1: guy wants to come clean to his wife. He wants
- 40:40Speaker 1: to know what should he do so that's the basis
- 40:42Speaker 1: of the recap of the letter from yesterday. My sexy
- 40:47Speaker 1: neighbor is stressing me out. So coming up in about
- 40:50Speaker 1: ten minutes at thirty or four after the hour, we're
- 40:52Speaker 1: going to read, uh, some of your comments Carla is
- 40:54Speaker 1: on social media from yesterday's letter. Okay, okay, I want
- 40:59Speaker 1: to it with Yeah. Right after this, let's joy Chris
- 41:08Speaker 1: was going on with your boy, Kevin Hart. I want
- 41:10Speaker 1: you to make sure you check out Steve Harvey at
- 41:13Speaker 1: m dot com. You're listening to Steve Harvey. Alright, we
- 41:19Speaker 1: were talking about yesterday Strawberry letter. My sexy neighbor is
- 41:23Speaker 1: stressing me out, the recap and everything. Boy, it was crazy. Boy,
- 41:28Speaker 1: that was a crazy, craziest thing. Yeah, because it went
- 41:31Speaker 1: on for so long, Jake, because you advised no, no,
- 41:35Speaker 1: I disagree wholeheartedly with Well, that's why. That's that's what
- 41:39Speaker 1: made the problem. We just disagreed ended up agreeing to
- 41:45Speaker 1: disagree because no, we didn't agree to do nothing. That's
- 41:48Speaker 1: why I took us nine paunch to sell it. Because
- 41:51Speaker 1: you weren't missed seven. I don't know, Man, go in
- 41:55Speaker 1: there and admit before it's a problem. That is a
- 42:00Speaker 1: problem because what he's saying is what he basically saying,
- 42:03Speaker 1: when you go over there, Damn baby, we got a problem. Man,
- 42:06Speaker 1: the strip I was with she next do now you create? Basically,
- 42:11Speaker 1: now you created a problem. Think he created the problem
- 42:13Speaker 1: when he got drunk and went to the private room
- 42:16Speaker 1: with the stripper. What she don't know that the wife
- 42:22Speaker 1: doesn't know? That shaded about it. No, but yesterday we
- 42:27Speaker 1: debated when everybody got on social media. So the guys,
- 42:31Speaker 1: y'all say, don't tell the wife. We were saying he
- 42:34Speaker 1: has The women were saying, you have to tell her
- 42:36Speaker 1: something because you can't play at all, because you can't
- 42:39Speaker 1: hold the secret anyway, you're sweating bullets. He just wrote
- 42:42Speaker 1: that in the letter. He gonna hold it. Yeah, that's
- 42:46Speaker 1: why men are such horrible cheaters. He's not gonna hold
- 42:50Speaker 1: what what hold on? Where did that come from? What
- 42:54Speaker 1: do you mean? Where did that? Yeah? That's history. We
- 42:57Speaker 1: gotta have somebody to cheat with. Yeah, but yeah, wait
- 43:03Speaker 1: a minute, you all give it. Busted and telling it
- 43:06Speaker 1: is two different things. His actions are going to make
- 43:11Speaker 1: are going to get him busted. Bust me, y'all cheat
- 43:17Speaker 1: calling since y'all so good, how stupid? Are you really
- 43:22Speaker 1: oh he about dumaged their car. But it's a better
- 43:24Speaker 1: question right now. No, it's not. When was the last time? Alright?
- 43:31Speaker 1: Let me We're not making this a personal thing, all right.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I want to hear what they said. Come on, okay.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Social media Frank to Barbara from Philly. He he said,
- 43:41Speaker 1: if the husband's gonna say anything, he got to go
- 43:43Speaker 1: in there with O J. Hypothetically if I didn't, this
- 43:49Speaker 1: is how it was down. Yeah. Yeah, so that's what
- 43:53Speaker 1: Frank said. Uh, this lady, her name is Marie Hamilton's.
- 43:58Speaker 1: She basically was saying at a law response, but she
- 44:01Speaker 1: basically said that he needs to tell his wife because
- 44:05Speaker 1: if she finds out later, then she's going to be
- 44:09Speaker 1: very upset with her husband, who said that whatever, Marie whatever,
- 44:19Speaker 1: you know what, what if she finds going to go
- 44:24Speaker 1: tell on this hill? Go ahead, Carlos mad Yeah, she tweeted.
- 44:31Speaker 1: She said, never take your bad news in your house. Thankfully.
- 44:35Speaker 1: The fifth and this is a woman I didn't know
- 44:38Speaker 1: that was her, And that's where I'm going with you
- 44:42Speaker 1: said you would go over to the woman's house at
- 44:45Speaker 1: midnight every night because you know what, I would have
- 44:51Speaker 1: a booty bration. It's a booty celebration. It's a booty bration,
- 44:55Speaker 1: sirlet Abbott. Yes, that work. That's he's on your team though, Steve,
- 45:03Speaker 1: I'm the only one who had a booty brace Yeah,
- 45:07Speaker 1: you're ashamed of his reason you have anyone? Uh? This
- 45:14Speaker 1: one said Bell and Husky. He just said that he
- 45:18Speaker 1: loved Oh j Anthony Brown could play a wife boy.
- 45:22Speaker 1: You had enough? Yeah, now you got the drill. Yeah.
- 45:29Speaker 1: This is the best strawberry letter ever. This is from
- 45:32Speaker 1: Ms Verna Rona. This is the best strawberry letter ever.
- 45:36Speaker 1: He can't say anything to the wife. Listen. This one
- 45:39Speaker 1: says you're headed to divorce court. This is from Bell
- 45:42Speaker 1: and Husky. Dimitria t says, Oh, she enjoys listening to
- 45:46Speaker 1: the morning show. She wanted party and keep it going.
- 45:53Speaker 1: This it was a great letter. It really was all right.

- 46:21Speaker 1: I don't think it's gonna go nearly as long as
- 46:23Speaker 1: yes can. I say one last thing about that letter
- 46:27Speaker 1: from you. If you're a man and you're dumb, h
- 46:33Speaker 1: do you have to tell your wife that you've done?
- 46:38Speaker 1: If she's your wife, she probably already knows. Well. I
- 46:42Speaker 1: hope you know. My husband listened to this letter yesterday
- 46:46Speaker 1: and he was basically saying what you guys were saying.
- 46:49Speaker 1: He's a man's that's not gonna come in and admit
- 46:52Speaker 1: to it. He's gonna deal with the trouble when he
- 46:54Speaker 1: gets in trouble. They're not gonna bring the trouble net.
- 47:00Speaker 1: If you find out, then we deal with it when
- 47:01Speaker 1: you find out. Maybe I ain't think of it, But
- 47:04Speaker 1: you're saying you're what you're What you're saying is you
- 47:07Speaker 1: hope she doesn't find out. You find out what the
- 47:12Speaker 1: stripping and told her she a dance instructor. I ain't
- 47:15Speaker 1: told her. I haven't seen the striple, So now what
- 47:19Speaker 1: why are we from the first guy? But because of
- 47:22Speaker 1: the way he was acting acting, don't mean he know her.
- 47:27Speaker 1: It could be to find that out though. You know
- 47:30Speaker 1: we're gonna lie to the end, gonna say I don't
- 47:32Speaker 1: know her. You gotta lie, but you're just gonna be
- 47:35Speaker 1: a liar that he's given it away by his actions. Sorry,
- 47:39Speaker 1: I don't remember her. I was at the strip club. Now,
- 47:43Speaker 1: she was in that triple. I didn't know. I thought,
- 47:45Speaker 1: I thought she is triple. He's going to give it away.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I'm telling you I don't know her. Yeah. These are
- 47:55Speaker 1: the same guys that say, when you're cheating and you
- 47:58Speaker 1: you know, you make a mistake and spend the night
- 48:00Speaker 1: over the girl's house, he run your car into a tree.
- 48:03Speaker 1: These are the same guy that's to do that. On
- 48:10Speaker 1: the passenger side. Real Hall had that dy hanging off

- 55:16Speaker 1: nothing like yesterday's letter, I don't think, but it's still
- 55:19Speaker 1: a good one and it won't go on for days
- 55:22Speaker 1: and days and days like yesterday's. It was fun though.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Come on, Tommy, buggle up and hold on tight. We
- 55:29Speaker 1: got it for you here. It is the Strawberry letter,
- 55:31Speaker 1: subject my husband has lost his mind. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 55:37Speaker 1: I am a forty seven year old female in my
- 55:40Speaker 1: third year of marriage, in my third marriage. My husband
- 55:43Speaker 1: and I have been married for five years and he
- 55:45Speaker 1: treats me like a queen. But I feel like he
- 55:48Speaker 1: hates my seventeen year old daughter. This is his first
- 55:51Speaker 1: marriage and he has no children, so it's shocking that
- 55:55Speaker 1: he acts like a drill sergeant with my daughter. He
- 55:58Speaker 1: calls her lazy and fusses at her constantly about her chores.
- 56:02Speaker 1: He expects her to take out the trash daily and
- 56:04Speaker 1: do a few other things that I think he should
- 56:07Speaker 1: be doing as the man of the house. My daughter
- 56:10Speaker 1: is an honor student and in extracurricular activities, so she
- 56:13Speaker 1: has a busy schedule during the week. I will admit
- 56:16Speaker 1: that she can be lazy and her room is always
- 56:19Speaker 1: quite messy, but she is a typical teenager. Despite the
- 56:23Speaker 1: way he speaks to her, she is always kind and
- 56:26Speaker 1: mannerable to him. Her biological father died earlier this year
- 56:30Speaker 1: and it affected her, but she's dealt with it quite well.
- 56:34Speaker 1: My husband has not stepped up in to the role
- 56:37Speaker 1: as her dad. He refuses to attend any of her
- 56:40Speaker 1: school activities with me. She graduates in June and she's
- 56:44Speaker 1: been accepted to a local college that's in our city.
- 56:47Speaker 1: She plans to stay at home instead of live on
- 56:49Speaker 1: campus because it's a lot less expensive. When my husband
- 56:53Speaker 1: found this out, he told me that she could not
- 56:56Speaker 1: stay with us anymore. He told me that we are
- 56:58Speaker 1: giving her some money for graduate wation so she can
- 57:01Speaker 1: move into her own apartment close to the college. This
- 57:04Speaker 1: really made me mad. This is my child and I
- 57:07Speaker 1: will not allow her to be mistreated like this. I
- 57:10Speaker 1: told him that he needs professional help. This is causing
- 57:13Speaker 1: problems in our relationship, but my child comes first. He said,
- 57:17Speaker 1: I am being too sensitive and that she needs to
- 57:20Speaker 1: be on her own to learn more responsibility. What do
- 57:23Speaker 1: you think, please help? Well, I mean I agree with
- 57:27Speaker 1: most of what you had to say in your letter.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Your husband, I think is out of line and he's
- 57:32Speaker 1: way too harsh. I mean there's disciplining and then there's
- 57:35Speaker 1: just cruelty, just playing cruelty. Uh, he doesn't understand obviously
- 57:41Speaker 1: that when he married you, he also should have taken
- 57:44Speaker 1: in your child as well. I mean, she's almost grown,
- 57:47Speaker 1: but she's still at home, she's still in school, so
- 57:50Speaker 1: she's a child still at this point. Uh, you yourself
- 57:53Speaker 1: said that your daughter is respectful, she's an honor student. Uh,
- 57:57Speaker 1: she's mannerable with him, she has a busy schools schedule,
- 58:00Speaker 1: and not to mention that her father just recently passed. Okay,
- 58:04Speaker 1: so you have to take all that into consideration. Now,
- 58:07Speaker 1: she definitely should keep her room clean and all of that.
- 58:09Speaker 1: She shouldn't be lazy. But I haven't heard anything here
- 58:12Speaker 1: that says she's any different than uh any other teenager.
- 58:17Speaker 1: I mean, this is kind of this is what I
- 58:18Speaker 1: did as a teen. My room was a mess, you know,
- 58:21Speaker 1: I could my mom was always calling me to do stuff. Okay,
- 58:24Speaker 1: that's what we do as teenagers. Um, as we try
- 58:27Speaker 1: to figure it out. Yes, I think your your husband
- 58:31Speaker 1: and your daughter, your whole family should get some type
- 58:34Speaker 1: of therapy. I agree with that. You know, I doubt
- 58:37Speaker 1: if he'll go though. Um, you have to speak up.
- 58:40Speaker 1: You have to speak up more on your behalf, on
- 58:42Speaker 1: your daughter's behalf. Uh. It sounds like a situation that's
- 58:45Speaker 1: only going to get worse. I mean, I understand that
- 58:48Speaker 1: he wants her to have more responsibility and all that
- 58:51Speaker 1: and talk to her maybe she will move out on
- 58:53Speaker 1: her own, but this is just not the way to
- 58:56Speaker 1: handle it. He's being mean, and I think he should
- 58:59Speaker 1: take out the dress. I do excuse me, uh, he
- 59:02Speaker 1: should take it out, Steve. I mean, dude, come on,
- 59:07Speaker 1: I mean, really, bro come on, man. Of of all
- 59:11Speaker 1: the things we need to tend to in this world,
- 59:14Speaker 1: of all these things we need to get right, you've
- 59:18Speaker 1: chosen her as the what's wrong in this world. I mean,
- 59:22Speaker 1: it's just just now. I not this is the one
- 59:24Speaker 1: side of letter being written by this lady. But if
- 59:28Speaker 1: any of this is true, just as a man, you
- 59:31Speaker 1: have to take responsibility to the side of it that
- 59:33Speaker 1: we as men have to bear up under. Number one,
- 59:37Speaker 1: you chose this woman to be your wife. Your wife
- 59:41Speaker 1: has a child. It's a package. It's a package. You
- 59:47Speaker 1: gotta understand that going in now. If you love this woman,
- 59:50Speaker 1: then you have to love the things that she loves.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Her child happens to be something she loved. So now
- 59:57Speaker 1: you gotta get with it. You've got you're not her father,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: but you can be her daddy. But damn dog, y'all
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: don't have a boy, you have a young lady. This
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: is his first marriage and he has no children. So
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: it's shocking that he acts like a drill sergeant with
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: my daughter. No, it's not because he don't know how
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: to raise kids. He has no child rearing experience. So
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: you're talking to this girl like like a drill sergeant.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Come on, man, what's wrong with you?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: He calls her lazy and fusses out of constant about
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: her choice. He expects her to take out the trash
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: daily and do a few things that I think he
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: should be doing. His man a out. No, no, no, man,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I got four daughters. I've never asked him to take
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: the trash. I've never once and any of my four
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: daughters required them to take out the trash. Laurier took
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: no trash out. Morgan took no trash out. Brandon On
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: ain't took no trash out. That a damn brothers. Their
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: brothers better get they ask something, Get this trash out.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Let me come downstairs and the trash care and fool
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: and y'all stay up past me. Now that that's how
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: this worked. Dog, Well, what you're trying to teach your
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: good What are you asking your young lady to grow
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: up to be to fend for herself? She don't know
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: how to fit for herself. Let's look at the upside
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: before we talk about what's wrong with you, girl. Let's
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: talk about what's right with She on honor roll, she's
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: law body, and she's respectful of you at all times.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: That's a good kid. She on the honor roll, she
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: respectful and she's law body. This is a good kid.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Her room, dirty man, what bro you out? A line? Man?
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: You you gotta do a little growing up here now,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: the mom says, I will admit she could be lazy
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: in her room is always quite messy. She's typical and
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: that's true. And despite the way he speaks to her,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: she's always kind of medable to him. We'll get into
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the rest of the letter when I get back. I'm
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: gonna tell you what else wrong with you? Dog? And
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you ain't got to feel this for me therapy for
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: to help your ask, you need to change the way
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: you treat this girl. And you ain't gotta go sit
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: down with nobody to do that you gotta stop treating
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: her like a little boy and treat her like a princess,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: because what you're teaching her now is that a man
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: should be yelling at her, a man should be bossing her,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: and a man should be making her do things. That's
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: what you're training this girl right here. That's why you
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: aut a line. Alright, Steve, we'll be back man now. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: he's pretty cruel. All Right, we'll be back with part
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: two of your response to today's Strawberry Letters, subjects my
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: husband has lost his mind. We'll be back in twenty
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: three after the hour you're listening. Alright, Steve, come on
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: part two of your response to today's Strawberry letter, My
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: husband has lost his mind. You said you were mad
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: when we left for birth. Well, you know what, I'm
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: kind of angry. Just's forty seven year old lady. She's
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: on the third marriage. Her husband and her been married
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: for five years, the daughter seventeen. So he's been in
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: the girl's life since she toiled, and probably a little
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: bit before that. Because you just got married five years ago,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: you probably dated for a period before that. So he's
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: known this girl for over five years. She had a
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: dad in her life, which is probably one of the
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: things he piste off about. And it had some type
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: of relationship, but her biological father has passed and it
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: affected her. She was always respectful to this guy, but
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: this guy just talks to her like a dream side
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: call a lazy fuss that here constantly about her choice,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: expects her to take out the trash daily. You got
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: a little girl and you want her to take the
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: trash out data. Now, y'all could disagree with me if
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you want to, I'm cool with it. I don't really mind.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I've treated my little girls different than I treated my boys.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I've never made them girls take out their trash, right,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I don't think why why you know, if you got
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: a man in the house, why is this girl taking
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: this trash where you can call it what you want
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: to call it, but you can call it double standards
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: like you can't be treating it all y'all out that time.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Women need to learn how to take care of themselves.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: The girl is in school as an honor roble study.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: She's seventeen. She's seventeen. She's respectful and she laved body.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: She's a great kid. She's just trying to figure out
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: she's seventeen. Her room junk is so what we're going
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: in now. Hell, I just quit going in my kids room.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Tell live how you want to live. But don't bring
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: that junk out here in the house though, because because
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: our house stayed looking nice because Marge ain't having it.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: So now you're sitting up in here. My daughter is
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: an honor robles duty and extracurriculum activities. She's got a
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: busy schedule during the week. She's a little lazy. Despite
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: the way he speaks us, she's always kind and and
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: uh manerable to him. A biological father died this year
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: and it affected her, but she's dealt with it quite well.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: My husband has not stepped up into the role as
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: her dad. He refuses to attend any of her school
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: activities with me. Yo, bro, are you kidding me? Your
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: wife has one child, you won't attend none of the
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: school events with her? Now, Look, man, if you don't
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: want to be her daddy, you shouldn't have signed up
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to be the husband because it's a package. And now
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: more than ever, the girl could use a dad. But
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: now her image of a man right now is somebody
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: barking at her. Somebody making her take out the trash,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Somebody constantly be degrading her, somebody talking to her like
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: a drill sergeant. So now her idea of a man's
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: love is you Are you kidding me? Man? Are you
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: for real? You're wrong on so many levels. She graduates
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: in June. She's been accepted at local college that's in
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: our city. She plays to stay at home instead of
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: live on campus because it's a lot less expensive. Excuse me,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And now she's got the nerve to, even in spite
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: of the way you treat her, look out and be
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: responsible enough to say, hey, it would cost you all
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: less money if I just stay here. Your husband found
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: this out, and he told me that she could not
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: stay with us anymore. Bro, are you kidding me? So
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: now she's seventeen, Now she'd probably be eighteen. You're gonna
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: throw the eighteen year old girl out because she ain't
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: staying here with us no more? Dog? What's wrong with you?
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Have you lost your ever loving mind? He told me
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: that we're giving her some money for graduation so she
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: can move into her own apartment close to the college.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: This really made me mad. This is my child and
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I will not allow her to be mistreated like this.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I told him that he needs professional help. This is
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: causing problems in our relationship. But my child comes first,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: he says, I'm being too sensitive. She needs to be
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: on her own to learn more of responsibility. What do
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: you think seventeen ain't the time for a girl to
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: go learn responsibility. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, No, I'm sorry.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: And now one of my kids had to move out
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: of seventeen. Not to them girls. Now, soon as the
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: boys get into their second year copege and they get apartments,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: they asses don't, can't come, don't don't even look over here.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: You can ask Winton right now, dad, what they're doing
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: in my room? Excuse me, excuse me. That's not your room.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: That's your daddy's new clothes. Yeah no, no, no, the
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: whole room. Yeah no no, Winch's room is dadd's new close.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. See see you're you're saying them are Laurie
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: just moved out one? Lauren still got a room at
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: that dad, don't take my bed, all right, all right?
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Said all right? She still got a rule. Winches other
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: room in the l a had already been converted. But
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: it ain't your day a rule and none of your
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: stuff in here. See, sir, at eighteen is not time
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: for her to go out on her own and learn responsibilities.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: You can't throw a young girl out to the wolves
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: like that. Uh. First and secondly, this is the wife's
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: your wife's daughter. It's a package deal. You can't put
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: the package out because you want to be alone. Uh.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: First of all, women shouldn't have to take out trash
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: unless they have to, So your ass takes the trash out. Sorry. Right. Secondly, sir,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you don't have any parenting skills and you need to develop.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: So this is not a boy you're talking to. It's
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: a young lady and she needs a daddy in her
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: life right now. Her father passed. She needs to see
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: a man show some love and respect and kindness to
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: her so she'll get an idea of what love looks like.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: For now, you throw her out the house. Now, her
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: idea of a man is somebody who barks out of
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: talks in like a drill. Sergeant requires that she takes
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: out the trash and puts out. So now, you didn't
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: put the little sheep out there with the wolves. What
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: you think gonna happen to this little girl on her own?
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Who has no real life skills because you won't show
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: her what real love looking. You cannot separate a woman
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: and her shod That's not the way it works. You
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: are wrong in every aspect of this thing. Yeah, you
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: can go get therapy, like Shirley said, you probably need it,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: but your ass really just needs to figure out how
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: to treat a child and a female child on top
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: of it or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: My girls and girls like that this little girl man.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: But you know, you don't. You never know how he
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: grew up. He probably doesn't understand. He doesn't. I don't.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: That's why he needs treat this girl, right, he can't.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: She can stay with us, don't see it? Alright? Alright,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: more on the Strawberry Letter. When we come back at
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: forty one after the hour, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Here we are with this Strawberry letter. Uh,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: we decided to hold this one over as well. The
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: subject my husband has lost his mind. A forty seven
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: year old woman wrote in She's a wife in her
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: third marriage. She's been married for five years to a
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: man who she says treats her like a queen, but
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: treats her seventeen year old daughter like he hates her. Um,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: this is his first marriage, he has no children. Uh.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Her daughter is seventeen, she's getting ready to graduate. She's
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: an honor student. She has all kinds of activities during
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: the week. This man is upset with her because she
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: won't take out the garage. She calls her lazy. He
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: wants her out of the house when she graduates next
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: month in June. And uh, the wife is not having it.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: She doesn't like the way he treats her her child,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: and she wants something done about it. She's upset. Uh
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: the daughter does not want her own apartment or she
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: doesn't want to leave or go stay on campus because
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: it will save them money. So um, it's causing problems
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: in their relationship. And um, she says, because her child
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: comes first. And uh, she just wants to know what
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: should she do in this situation? What do we think?
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: I just think your husband is beyond mean. He's just
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: a cruel man to this young woman. He's just very cruel.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: I mean there's harsh and then there you know, you
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: can discipline a person. She's a regular teenager who keeps
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: their room, messy and who can be lazy at times.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: He doesn't like her, he doesn't like her being in
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: the home with them. He's he's possessive of the wife.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: He's jealous, you know, probably of their relationship. Stuff like that.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: She has suggested, Uh, the wife has that he gets
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: some therapy and uh, she told him that he needs
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: professional help. But here's the deal. He his child, he
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: has no bond. But the mistake he made was asking
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: this woman to marry him. Because a woman who has
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: a child, that's a package. You cannot expect to separate
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: him to a woman. A woman is not gonna forsake
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: her child. They're not gonna do it, not not no
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: real mother. No no no no no no no no no.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: You can carry at somewhere else. Now, hold on, partner,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I love you, but you can't do what did this baby?
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: No no, no, you're talking about the one she carried,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: the one she gave birth to. No no, you're not
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: gonna do no harm to her now, and don't push up,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: because you're gonna find out that if she got to
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: make the choice, she, like every other animal in a while,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: is gonna protect the baby. That's her job and I mean,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: what a great kid, Steve. I mean, she just recently
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: lost her own dad. Seems like he would want to
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: step in and just try to be there for her.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Now he wants her out because this dude is a
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: simple minded ass that ain't got a damn flue on
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: what giving really means. And you have to learn what
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: giving is. And we as fathers have to set better
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: examples for our daughters as to what real men look
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: like so they can have a better example of what
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: to pick when they get out there. So many women
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: are damaged today because of the relationship that they father
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: did not have with them. So many women are damaged
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: because of that, and so many women end up looking
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: for love and all the wrong places because they don't
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: know what love really looked like important right, and now
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: here you are at a very impressionable age of this
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: girl's life, given her an example of a man and
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: what it looks like. And it's not a good view
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: of man who that you can talk to her this way,
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: treat her this way, balk at her like a drill sergeant,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: expect her to take our trash and want to put
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: it out the house because she can graduated from high
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: school who puts the throught out the house because they
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: graduated from our school. But hell, I didn't get put
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: out my daddy's house when I graduated from high school.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: And then she kind and manerable to him and respectful
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: to him even in spite of all of this. Yeah,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: he's he's just a wrong, mean, cruel guy. He just
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: is something's wrong. That's why I say he should get
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: some therapy. He really should. Yeah, but see, I don't
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: know what game he played to get her. He treats
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: her like a queen. She says, Dog, you've been had
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: this lady on her fourth many Yeah, because dog, you
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: But the marriage can be saved, you know, because he
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: treats a woman like a queen. But then you gotta
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: treat the princess like a princess. It's real simple. How
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: have you treating the wife? You gotta treat your daughter
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: like a version of the wife, and the wife's got
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: to speak up. She does now, because this is this
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: is crazy. But she just said something. Yeah, she'd have
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: talked to him about it because it's hurtful to her. Yeah,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: but this dumb ass dude won't even go to none
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: of the activities at school, Joe stupid ass sitting up
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: that just being dumb. That ain't therapy right there, no support.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: I mean, I just think therapy would help him. I
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: just do know. I got your ship, but I'm really
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I'm yeah, you're mad you want to as a therapeutic
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: every time I got mine, I learned your difference. Stud
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: never said nothing else to Johnny Waller again. You would
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: never do this. Johnny Waller had me been over the
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: real in junior high, choking me over over the orchestra pit.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I thought I was when they got Johnny wall off me.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I never spoke to Johnny Wallack. Goodness, but I mean,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you know, at this point, is he even going to
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: go to her graduation? He never goes to any activities
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: with her, with her mom. I mean, this is so ridiculous,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: how selfish, how possess of, how controlling of this guy.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: You know, you're gonna leaves if he doesn't get any help.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: If he doesn't get any help, she will and she should.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: All right, we gotta get out of here. You can
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: send your comments to Steve Harvey f M dot com.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Now coming up at the top of the hour, Royal rules,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Megan Markle will have to follow as a Duchess to
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: be and we'll find out what did Steve and the
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: crew have to give up when they he got married.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the stow Megan marcle
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: soon to be Princess Megan marcle Um wants to walk
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: down the aisle alone. She wanted to, uh, you know
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: when at first when her dad was saying he wasn't
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: going to do it. First he said he was, Then
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: he said he wasn't. Uh this coming weekend. According to TMZ,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Thomas Markle said he wasn't going to attend the wedding
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: because he felt shame that he made a deal with
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: the paparazzi agency that photographed him in stage shots. Marco
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: also checked into a hospital, claiming he suffered a set
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: back after a heart attack last week. Now it's up
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: to Prince Harry to play Megan's advocate and convinced Queen
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Elizabeth that they're about to break yet another royal tradition. Also,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: once Megan officially becomes the duchess, uh, she'll be expected
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: to follow all kinds of rules for the royal family,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: like the following. Now listen to these Steve, uh no
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: more shell old fish okay. Members of the Yeah, members
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: of the royal family are advised against eating lobster, oyster, shrimp,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: another shellfish because money, okay, really, because they could get food,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: toys and shell fish. All let's go, you would stop
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: eating lobster, Steve? You well, yeah, you know how much
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: money she getting Duchess? All right, a damn damn Okay,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: this one was almost the craziest one to me. They
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: can't play no, no, no, no, they can't play Monopoly anymore.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: I don't like it. No, damn take two, damn long.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: It takes a long time, that's right. But that's not
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: why they can't play on my profiting. I never broke,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: all right. They don't like to play it. Not because
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: it's too long, Steve, but because it gets too vicious.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: What I don't like Monopoly, I'm gonna beat it, damn. Duchess.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Go here and what else? Only they only have to
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: wear demure clothing, dresses below the knee, no cleavage for
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: the royals, okay, And there's a rule of yeah, but
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: at the house as soon as you come here from Duchess,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: and they always have to wear I didn't know this.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: They always have to wear some sort of hosiery stockings, pantyhose.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: They always have to wear that. Yeah, yeah, and then
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: she's already broken it, I think a couple of times. Yeah. Oh,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: this is a hard one because we ain't been in
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: pantoles in a while. Yeah, it's been a long time. Yeah,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: some people do. Yeah, Okay, um, how about this one, Steve.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: No public displays of affection. I'm cool with that. How much?
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: How much? How much she getting? I want? That's why
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: the crowd gets so happy and excited when you see
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: them kiss, you know, like after a wedding, you know,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: and everything when they kiss, publishing won't see no damn moment.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: That's right. You don't see royals holding hands. You do
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: not see them kissing. No public display, no hand no
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Weyland to Trump, how many times roy Alright? The Royals
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: must always pack a spare black outfit when traveling, just
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: in case there's the death of a prominent figure or
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: a world leader. The royal family has to be prepared
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: to dress appropriately. Yeah, I got black, would at all times. Yeah.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: So they don't pack their own luggage anyway. They have
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: exactly and now Megan like they had in a comba
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: to America, royal bankers don't get mad, Steve. Megan Msed
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: always walked behind her brother and sister in law, Prince
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: William and Duchess Catherine, because you know, for public occasions,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the royal family walks in order of who's next in
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: line to the throne. So that makes it easy. Yeah,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: that makes behind me. So Will and Kate walk behind
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: the only one behind you were lined up by heights
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: shortest in the front. They're not going back there because
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: I get in front of you. Did ain't gonna know
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: your head back. There's a lot of people between you
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: and Tavin. You shall Stephen tell me later, Steve, way
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: back to Tommy right in the front. I tell you
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: get up there. They saw Tommy I last time in
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: front of them girls. By the time you pass, they
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: saw Tommy hour ago. Thinking thinking of that, Carla had
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: to ask you something, Steve. You made me think of
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: something when you said, why is Tommy in front of
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: all the girls. You sent us a video of your
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: beautiful daughter Tasha in one of her competitions last weekend.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: She's really getting tall. He's really getting okay, So my daughter,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Steve's kids, they're all taller than Tommy I'm just Tasha.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: She's the baby. She's ten. It's Tasha has Tasha? Is
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: she taller than Tommy? Now? I believe, So go ahead
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: and make it right, including its passing the Wow, Natasha's ten, Okay,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: she's she's so tall, she's about the tallest girl in
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: fourth grade. Wow, that's how Sheridan was. Yeah, hey, but
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: you know Tommy's a little pretty girl. Sydney, she's in
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: cheering too. Oh yeah, and cheering Dan here and so
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: y'all ain't got nothing to worry about. Yeah, what do
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you mean? Well? You know Tommy go to all the
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: meats now, yeah, he got in, saw the competitions, and
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: so you know, I like your kids ain't gonna fall
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: because Tommy could stand in as a spotter. I thought
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: that too. Up, Tommy, run up there getting from black
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: and white shoes and Louis and get a little skirt.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Put a little we've in his head. We can get
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Tommy can be a spotter. He can help who little
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: girl with the big gass spotting the key must class
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: legs on this little girl. I'm not doing this. When
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: when Sydney practiced her tosses, she thought, you all right,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: let me go back. The last rule for the royals
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: is no social media. No selfies. Yeah, no selfies, no
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: social media, and no more acting or side projects. Okay,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: none of that nothing princess. Yeah, she's a royal. Now,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: I can't wait for the wedding side No, it's Saturday. Yeah,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of this crazy show right
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Show. All right, Steve
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: talk about a good neighbor. A little boy's concerned for
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: his sick elderly neighbor is going viral after the woman's
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: granddaughter shared a photo of their relationship on Facebook. This
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: picture is getting a lot of attention because it serves
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: as a reminder that little actions can make a huge,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: huge difference. Miss Darien Middleton said her grandmother had been
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: fighting lung and breast cancer. Middleton says she wants her
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: grandmother to move in with her, but her grandmother refuses.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: She's not ready to lose her home and her independence.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: So grandma's seven year old neighbor, Caleb, comes to visit
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the grandmother up to five times a day to chock
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: on her. He wants to make sure she wakes up
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: from all her naps. The granddaughter shared the picture of
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: the best friends with her followers to shed some light
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: in this dark world we live in. It has been
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: um shared an additional one forty three thousand times and
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: received more than forty seven thousand reactions from Facebook users.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Share with us your random acts of kindness. I love that.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: So you can do the same thing. If you've done
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: something kind for a neighbor or a friend or just anyone,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: you know, let us know on Steve Harve FM dot com. Yeah,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: it's brilliant, adorable. Yeah, you do kind things all the
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: time though, Steve, you do mentoring program. I mean we're
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: just surrounded by giving people. Yeah, oh what did we
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: throw you? I called myself. Where were you gonna say? No?
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: What's not gonna say anything? Thank you for saying that that.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Um he was nice and everything. Yeah right there, he
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: don't want Yeah, okay, fix this joke, right, Yeah, Well
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: you know what I did. We we mentioned it earlier,
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: but we didn't UM do a follow up. First Lady
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Milannia Trump will likely remain in the hospital for the
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: rest of the week following a metal procedure that she
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: had a medical procedure. The First Lady underwent UM an
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: operation for what they're calling a benign kidney condition. And
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: that's really all the information we have on it. Mr
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: Trump Donald Trump tweeted a successful procedure. She is in
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: good spirits. Thank you to all of the well wishers.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: So there you go. Well that's good. Yeah, all right,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: get well soon, yeah, first lady. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: hope she does. She's all right, man, You want her
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: to get well, so yeah, of course, yeah. Absolutely. It's
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: interesting that, um, she went through everything before we even
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: knew she had a condition. You know, they're pretty secretive,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: I guess over there are pretty private. I'll put it
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: like that. You know, usually we're so used to knowing
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: everything if they get or you know, if they have yeah,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: if everything, or you know, in a couple of weeks
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: they'll be going in for surgery or whatever. But we
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: knew nothing until she came out. So that's the difference
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: I think with this White House than with previous administrations.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: All Right, you guys know who pro wrestler John Cena is.
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: You know, he's also an actor. You know, he just
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: broke up with his girlfriend. They were set to get married.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: They just broke up. Um, well, he's making a play
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: for a reconciliation. Her name is Nicky Bella. All right,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: she's one of the total Total Bella's. You know, they
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: have that reality. So yeah, yeah, you did well. Anyway,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: Nicky dumped John Cena only three weeks before they were
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: supposed to get married. But he appeared hear it on
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: the Today Show and he was pretty hurt about it.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: He said he's been depressed ever since. He says he
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: loves her, he wants to be with her, and he
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: wants to be the dad of their children. That's kind
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: of why they broke up, because she wanted children and
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: he didn't. And his career is starting to really sore.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: So maybe they'll get back together, let's hope. So all right,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: In entertainment news, Kevin Hart is in talks to star
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: in a remake of Uptown Saturday Night Guys. The film
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: is being produced by Will Smith. Uh The original is
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: a nineteen seventy four American action comedy crime film directed
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: by and starring Sidney Poitier, Richard Pryor, Calvin Lockhart, Harry
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: Belafonte and Bill Cosby. The film followed two friends as
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: they barely navigate the criminal underworld in order to retrieve
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: a winning lottery ticket stolen during a robbery. Uh. We
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: also hear that Blackish creator Kenya Barras is writing the
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: most recent draft of the script. So there you go, guys. Yeah,
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: I'm Harry Belafonte part. That's why, Uncle, I'm Harry Belafonte's part.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: That's get your dan. Okay, how you get to be
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: that part? Because I chose it? But pick your part?
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: What's wrong with you? Pick your part? Uncle Steve Flip Wilson.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: He the preacher at the church. That's classic, trust me man, Okay, Okay,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: who else you guy? Okay, okay. So we got we
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: got Will and Kevin playing the leaves. Somebody got to
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: be Calvin Lockhart. That's a cold part. He was handsome man.
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: That's a cold part. Interest interest. But is Calvin Lockhart?
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: Now they're gonna redo uptown. Yeah, this is a good one, man,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: This is good Silkie Slimn lock Art character. We gotta
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: put on Muri Hardwick in there somewhere is a great actor.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: This ain't about great actors, sher No, Well, the buying part.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Calvin Lockhart was fine, Yeah, we look when I'm talking
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: about being him, he wants to I said I was going.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: I said I was gonna be uh get day. He
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: had a short temper, the gangster. He had a shot
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: right there. That's why I thank you. I shall appreciate
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: your great I knew it had something to do with
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: being shot Tom. That's you get you shot a day
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: was Stubbor and he was don't you remember I'm sorry.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: As soon as you said, I was like, oh, here
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: we go. Okay, okay, okay. So I hate to ask
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: this question. Maybe malta Hardaway could be little Seymore. I
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: mean a little little Simo. Remember remember little who you trying?
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: Why don't you be a little Semo what you want
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: to be? Right? But little Simo you right there with
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: that big That was when I tell you, yeah, I'll
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: stand next to you and be the big black. That
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: would be so great, though, to see this movie on
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: the Man, such a classic, and if they do all
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: of them, it's gonna really run. They do Uptown Saturday night,
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: if they do a piece of the action and let's
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: do it again, Yeah, yeah, that's gonna be big. Love.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: I want to see Stephen there the o g and
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: and said to oh, yeah, but Mike ELPs has to
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: be sharp. I wash it. Yeah, yes see that, yes
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: see that. Okay, well you pretty much casting the movie.
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: I think I canted somebody call me please, I think
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: tacting direction. Steve coming up our last break of the day.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: Closing remarks. Okay, and get ready people, you're listening to
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: the show. All right, here we are, last break of
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: the day. It's been a crazy day as usual the
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: time we like, right, and here's our fearless leader to
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: take us home with closing remarks. Well, today, I just
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: want to pose the question. Excuse me today, I just
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: want to pose the question because I I try to
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: find different ways to motivate people as um as I
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: asked God to help me find new ways. Uh, today
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: I just decided to try this. I just want to
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: ask you a series of questions because I'm just trying
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: to get everybody to get to moving towards their dreams.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get everybody to get started on
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: the pathway of accomplishing your visions and your goals in
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: your dreams. It's gonna take some action, though, you know
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: you can't just want something. Have you ever people say,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: if you want something bad enough, it will happen. That's
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: not true. That, that's that's so not true. Do you
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: know how many times you've actually wanted something really bad
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: and didn't get it? Uh? What? What? Who? I don't
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: know who said that? Why? Why they tell people that
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: if you want something bad enough, it will really happen.
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: It can happen, No, it won't. It requires an action.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Faith without works is dead. If you don't do anything,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: you can't stop expecting to get everything. If you don't
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: do anything, you can stop expecting to get everything. Now,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: God is gonna give all of us some grace in
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: spite of our shortcomings and lack of effort. He will
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: give all of us some grace that we'll all get
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: some things that we really don't deserve. You know, it
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: just provides us breaks. But in those breaks, is trying
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: to sustain you, just to get you to say, wow, man,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: if I had just done a little bit more of
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: what could I have had, or if I had done
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: a little bit more of what could have happened. So
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: my question today for you, it's just I'm asking you
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: a series of very very simple questions, maybe four or
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: five you're waiting for? What? Tell me what is it
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: you're waiting for? Because oftentimes when I talk to people,
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: I get some responses that just throw me off, you know,
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: because what if you're waiting for, what, what is it
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: going to take to get you started? What is the motivation?
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: What is the button? What is the trigger that fires
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: you to get going to moving towards your dreams and visions?
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: You're waiting for what? I don't understand. Are you perfectly
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: comfortable where you are right now? Have you decided and
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: settled in that this is it for me? Have you
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: gotten tired of waking up and asking the question, whow
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: it's got to be more to my life than this? What?
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Have you just gotten tired of that and you don't
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: want to deal with it no more? So you just
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: decided what that You're just gonna lock in like where
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: I am. It's cool, You're all right with that. Let
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: me ask you another question. Have all the ducks ever
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: lined up in a row? Because if that's what you're
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: waiting for, let me just ask you. Has it never
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: been said that while I see exactly step by step,
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna get down, gonna get that everything is perfect.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna start now. If you're waiting on the perfect
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: time to start, you may never start, because there is
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: no such a thing as the perfect time. The perfect
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: time is now. That's the perfect time. If you're waiting
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: on something else to happen, it probably ain't gonna happen
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: because you gotta figure like this. Suppose it don't happen
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: what you're gonna do, then she just gotta come to
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: that conclusion. Suppose it don't happen what you're gonna do.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: Then suppose you don't get to degree what you're gonna do,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: then you're gonna fail. Suppose you don't get that job
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: that you got your eyes on. So you don't get
