- 0:03Speaker 1: Y'all know what time is. Y'all don't know. Y'all bag
- 0:09Speaker 1: a long back to back down, giving them more, just
- 0:15Speaker 1: like theming buck bus things. And it's to y'all to
- 0:19Speaker 1: me true good to shut yeah, listening to me to
- 0:26Speaker 1: each other for still to handle to listen, Hobby, I
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't you join Yeah, well, hobby, join me into being me?
- 0:53Speaker 1: Honey said you turn Yeah, you gotta turn the turnow turn?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Do you love me? Got to turn out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water water go? Comey, come on your back at
- 2:01Speaker 1: uh huh, I shall well a good morning everybody. You're
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice? Come on dig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, Yeah man
- 2:13Speaker 1: got one. Hey. You know, um, I thought I think
- 2:17Speaker 1: of my life in terms of blessings. You know. I
- 2:19Speaker 1: take mostly a positive approach and a positive spin to
- 2:23Speaker 1: my life. I hardly ever dweil on. Uh. You know
- 2:27Speaker 1: the what's well. I can't say that I don't think
- 2:30Speaker 1: about the what's wrong in it because I have to,
- 2:32Speaker 1: because I have to address problems as they arise. But
- 2:36Speaker 1: I try not to let them consume me. I let
- 2:40Speaker 1: the consumption part be about the blessings, the positive things,
- 2:45Speaker 1: that has occurred in my life, the good things that
- 2:47Speaker 1: God has done for me, the power that He's displayed
- 2:52Speaker 1: in my life, the protection he's given me over the years,
- 2:55Speaker 1: to being tucked under his wings. I focus on the
- 2:59Speaker 1: things that He promises me. I think of all all
- 3:02Speaker 1: the goodness that I perceived to come my way, and
- 3:05Speaker 1: I think that has a lot to do with me
- 3:08Speaker 1: learning more and more about the law of attraction in
- 3:11Speaker 1: terms of you know, what you think and what you
- 3:14Speaker 1: put out in the space, and what you pray about
- 3:17Speaker 1: is what you receive, you know, And so I've become
- 3:20Speaker 1: better and better at that. That's not to say that
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm I'm not human and I don't have moments where
- 3:27Speaker 1: I think a little bit too long about what's going
- 3:29Speaker 1: wrong and what enemy is is about to attack and
- 3:32Speaker 1: what they're gonna do and saying and all of this
- 3:35Speaker 1: is his. That's not to con say that I'm not
- 3:37Speaker 1: concerned about it. But I try to duel mostly on
- 3:40Speaker 1: the positive. And one of the things that I learned,
- 3:44Speaker 1: you can have an incredible life, all of you, all
- 3:47Speaker 1: of us, We can have incredible lives if we just
- 3:52Speaker 1: let God drive See the problem that I had years ago,
- 3:58Speaker 1: was I was the driver of my life, and I
- 4:01Speaker 1: was taking myself in the directions that I thought would
- 4:05Speaker 1: be best for me. And I aimed at things that
- 4:08Speaker 1: I thought I could accomplish, and I set goals that
- 4:13Speaker 1: I saw myself being able to attain. I was driving.
- 4:18Speaker 1: When I gave up and I let God drive. I
- 4:22Speaker 1: then opened up my mind and my spirit to what
- 4:26Speaker 1: God had for me, for what God could see for me,
- 4:31Speaker 1: for what God could do in my life, well, for
- 4:34Speaker 1: what God wanted for me. Now he wanted for me
- 4:39Speaker 1: and he wanted of me. See, that's the connection that
- 4:43Speaker 1: you got to try to make. Well, not try, that's
- 4:46Speaker 1: the connection that you gotta make to really get it. Now,
- 4:49Speaker 1: Listen to me. What I don't want you to do
- 4:51Speaker 1: is do like me. Don't be afraid of the what
- 4:54Speaker 1: for of the what he wants you to do part see,
- 4:58Speaker 1: because that ain't gonna be nearly as the manding and
- 5:00Speaker 1: and as offsetting as you think it's gonna be. See.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I thought that if I did God's will, that if
- 5:07Speaker 1: I let God tell me what to do, that it
- 5:09Speaker 1: would cause me to not to be able to do
- 5:12Speaker 1: a certain some things I wanted to do well, which
- 5:14Speaker 1: is true. But the stuff I wanted to do was
- 5:17Speaker 1: all detrimental to my well being and my future and
- 5:20Speaker 1: my and my growth and development as a man. I
- 5:24Speaker 1: was stopping my own growth as a man, because see,
- 5:26Speaker 1: I was doing what I thought I should do as
- 5:28Speaker 1: a man. But when you give it over to God,
- 5:31Speaker 1: to God has a much better plan for you than
- 5:33Speaker 1: you can ever have for yourself. And God knows a
- 5:36Speaker 1: better way, far better than the one you know. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: want you to believe that. Man, you gotta understand that
- 5:41Speaker 1: part of it. And and that's the part that I
- 5:43Speaker 1: finally got through my head to let God do it
- 5:46Speaker 1: his way and to show me a better way, and
- 5:49Speaker 1: to teach me a better way and exposed to me
- 5:52Speaker 1: a better way. And when I opened up my mind
- 5:55Speaker 1: to what God was talking about, I began to see
- 5:58Speaker 1: things totally different of me. And things started coming to
- 6:02Speaker 1: me totally differently. If you've been a friend of mine
- 6:06Speaker 1: or a fan of mine over the years, I mean,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you've had to see it, the change. You've had to
- 6:12Speaker 1: see the difference, I mean, and I and I acknowledge
- 6:15Speaker 1: that every chance I get, because I promised God I would,
- 6:19Speaker 1: and I hope that I'm not falling short in that category.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But then again, if I told it all day long,
- 6:25Speaker 1: would he done for me? I still wouldn't have enough
- 6:27Speaker 1: time to really explain thoroughly what he's done for me,
- 6:31Speaker 1: because it's such a continuous growth in me. But now
- 6:35Speaker 1: that's not to say that I'm finished or I'm done
- 6:39Speaker 1: or I'm complete, because I'm still short. And that's the
- 6:43Speaker 1: cold thing about it. Man. See, no matter how good
- 6:46Speaker 1: you get at it, you ain't gonna ever be the
- 6:48Speaker 1: best you can be. You just not because you're gonna
- 6:51Speaker 1: fall short. You can't be him. You can strive for perfection.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I hear people saying it all the time. I applaud
- 6:58Speaker 1: you for saying you want to be perfect, but you
- 6:59Speaker 1: ain't and you can't and you're not and you aren't
- 7:04Speaker 1: and you won't and you will not. And so you
- 7:07Speaker 1: quit saying it. You could saying it to me, quit
- 7:10Speaker 1: saying it to other people. I'm seeking a life of perfection,
- 7:14Speaker 1: but it's something that you cannot have because he said
- 7:17Speaker 1: you can't do it. But that's what he'd have for
- 7:20Speaker 1: he'd have for the moments when you stumble and you fall,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and you're gonna stumble and fall, So you gotta get
- 7:25Speaker 1: that part right man to stumbling falling part is coming.
- 7:28Speaker 1: But see, you get God in your life and it
- 7:30Speaker 1: helps you so that you don't stumble, fall, wallow roll over,
- 7:35Speaker 1: laid their languish. That's what God is for. So when
- 7:39Speaker 1: you stumbling fall, you get back up because you're going
- 7:43Speaker 1: to make mistakes. You're going to get it wrong. You're
- 7:46Speaker 1: going to come under attack, You're going to be lied about,
- 7:50Speaker 1: you are going to be falsely accused. That's going to
- 7:53Speaker 1: happen to you the moment you make a decision to
- 7:56Speaker 1: do better, the moment you try to be more, the
- 8:00Speaker 1: moment you try to get it right. The devil got
- 8:03Speaker 1: to send his attackers man, and he controls certain people.
- 8:07Speaker 1: He just got people as on his side. Seven. You
- 8:10Speaker 1: know him too. You you've all met one or two
- 8:13Speaker 1: of me in your life. They're just busy with the
- 8:15Speaker 1: business of nothingness. They're just busy about to do about
- 8:20Speaker 1: the destruction of others. You said, I know him, you
- 8:23Speaker 1: know him. They're coming. But here's what you gotta hold
- 8:26Speaker 1: fast too. They can't take away nothing from you that
- 8:30Speaker 1: God gave you. They didn't make you. See people who
- 8:34Speaker 1: claim to have made you, if they're so in to
- 8:38Speaker 1: make you business, Why don't they make theirselves? Or if
- 8:41Speaker 1: they ain't with you no more and they're so busy
- 8:44Speaker 1: in them, I made you business, why don't they make
- 8:46Speaker 1: somebody else? Since, just since you want to get credit
- 8:50Speaker 1: from making somebody make yourself, if you're responsible for someone
- 8:56Speaker 1: else's success, then you should easily be able to take
- 8:59Speaker 1: claim and be risk posible for your own success. See,
- 9:02Speaker 1: be careful of that. And don't and and don't don't
- 9:05Speaker 1: change your course because somebody is attacking you with that.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You keep doing what you're doing. I just hope, man,
- 9:12Speaker 1: that I'm giving it to God the way I said
- 9:14Speaker 1: I would give it to him, that I would unload
- 9:16Speaker 1: every chance I got that I was supposed to without
- 9:19Speaker 1: being you know, or here he come again? You know.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I try not to be that, but man, I don't
- 9:24Speaker 1: know what else to be for the first twelve minutes
- 9:26Speaker 1: of my show. What else you want me to say?
- 9:28Speaker 1: I got four hours. I can't give God twelve twelve minutes, man,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I mean for real, Steve, come on, man, I mean,
- 9:34Speaker 1: let's look at this right here. It's like, for example,
- 9:37Speaker 1: it's like detox in your body, which is one of
- 9:39Speaker 1: the most healthy things you can do for your body
- 9:42Speaker 1: is to detox your system and clean out the pipes
- 9:44Speaker 1: and the liver and the blood and get it all together,
- 9:47Speaker 1: give your kidneys a break in all like this, okay, right, okay,
- 9:50Speaker 1: But to detox it properly, it takes twenty one days, right.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And I hear a lot of people telling my twenty
- 9:56Speaker 1: one days I ain't got. But see, hold up, man,
- 9:58Speaker 1: if the twenty one days out of three hundred sixty
- 10:02Speaker 1: days a year, you ain't got twenty one to straighten
- 10:05Speaker 1: yourself out, You ain't got twenty one days to give
- 10:08Speaker 1: yourself a better shot at help. I mean, that's that's
- 10:11Speaker 1: crazy to me, once you wrap your mind around it. See,
- 10:15Speaker 1: And so like if you're giving honor to God just
- 10:17Speaker 1: twelve minutes out the day, dog, he gave you twenty
- 10:21Speaker 1: four hours of luxury in life and breath and hope
- 10:25Speaker 1: and promise that you ain't got twelve minutes to give
- 10:27Speaker 1: him out the day. That don't make no sense. What
- 10:30Speaker 1: in exchange? What a wonderful life God has given me
- 10:34Speaker 1: in exchange for so small of effort that I put forth.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Don't let the effort you gotta put forth to God
- 10:39Speaker 1: seems so dawning that you don't attempt to do it, because, man,
- 10:42Speaker 1: it seems like a lot. It ain't nothing compared to
- 10:45Speaker 1: what he'd be given us for real. So if you
- 10:47Speaker 1: want a real life, you want a real shot at
- 10:49Speaker 1: what you can be, what you can have, what you
- 10:51Speaker 1: can own, what you can become who you really are.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Go to God. Let him fix you. Man. That's all show.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:06Speaker 1: On the biggest day of two thousand and eighteen. It
- 11:12Speaker 1: is voting day. It's moving time. We need everybody. We've
- 11:18Speaker 1: got to make this happen. Let's get at it. Let's
- 11:20Speaker 1: get started. Shirley Strawberry calling for real Junior, Tom and Tom.
- 11:26Speaker 1: We voted already, I mean to day. Yeah, Yes, got
- 11:36Speaker 1: to vote on the day, baby, Make every vote count today.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Very very important election, very important. I hope you realize
- 11:45Speaker 1: how important this election is, not just for us, for you,
- 11:48Speaker 1: for your you know, for your community, for you, yes,
- 11:53Speaker 1: for your Grandmama's important. Yeah, especially for people who think
- 11:59Speaker 1: that their vote does not count. Your vote counts. That's
- 12:02Speaker 1: what they want you to think, so you can stay
- 12:04Speaker 1: at home and not participate in the process. Please don't
- 12:08Speaker 1: listen to the hype. Your vote counts, your vote is
- 12:10Speaker 1: your voice. Please. You know, my husband was at work
- 12:13Speaker 1: and he was talking to a younger guy working there
- 12:16Speaker 1: and he said, well, I'm not gonna vote because my
- 12:19Speaker 1: vote don't count. My husband turn around and said, you
- 12:22Speaker 1: do realize they had them up right, You do realize
- 12:28Speaker 1: that if you vote, they get to say your number
- 12:35Speaker 1: right the man? I mean, man, we we we We
- 12:41Speaker 1: can't use excuses, and I don't want our listeners to
- 12:46Speaker 1: be complacents. We have some great listeners, but you know, man,
- 12:50Speaker 1: we've got to be and encourage somebody else to vote,
- 12:54Speaker 1: make them understand the importance. I know, the complacency that
- 12:59Speaker 1: normally happens doing mid terms. They don't get excited like
- 13:02Speaker 1: they do for president, especially in two thousand and eight
- 13:06Speaker 1: and two thousand twelve because Obama was running. I got it.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But Obama has been out here pushing and pushing and
- 13:13Speaker 1: pushing to get you to understand the importance of this.
- 13:17Speaker 1: We have the other side a bit nervous, and you
- 13:21Speaker 1: need them to be concerned because you've got to have
- 13:25Speaker 1: a balance. Man. You can't have a White House, a
- 13:28Speaker 1: House and a Senate that represents the minority. Of the country,
- 13:34Speaker 1: because what does the majority do, it's the minority. I
- 13:38Speaker 1: was watching the Trump rally on TV. I don't know,
- 13:42Speaker 1: did you see that they got the black dude back again, dog,
- 13:49Speaker 1: the black dude again with the glasses on top of
- 13:52Speaker 1: his head, the one that said blacks for Trump. But
- 13:57Speaker 1: he's he's back there again in the same spot called
- 14:00Speaker 1: the rolls down Law. And I don't know where they
- 14:04Speaker 1: found these Native Americans with the authentic native head dress on.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Really they found three Native Americans. If they were Native
- 14:16Speaker 1: Americans with formal head dress on, you know, the feathers. Yeah,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I mean, but man, if it is that that that
- 14:26Speaker 1: that's gonna be the worst thing you could have done.
- 14:28Speaker 1: But I don't know where they found these three Native Americans.
- 14:32Speaker 1: So that's voting for Trump. We'll come back and talk
- 14:36Speaker 1: more about the election. We'll be back at thirty two
- 14:42Speaker 1: after right after this you're listening to show. Alright, guys,
- 14:47Speaker 1: today is it? We've been talking about it already. Seems
- 14:50Speaker 1: like we've been talking about this forever. I certainly hope
- 14:53Speaker 1: Steve that all of our talking pays off at the poll.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I think it will. I think it will because I
- 14:59Speaker 1: think that uh, there was a poll on CNN that
- 15:02Speaker 1: said they posed seven out of ten people are voting
- 15:06Speaker 1: to send a message to the White House. Uh and
- 15:10Speaker 1: uh Donald Trump, man, when he could a vote for
- 15:13Speaker 1: this is a vote for me. Yeah right, yeah, he's
- 15:17Speaker 1: making this about him. Everything is about man. Yeah, man,
- 15:27Speaker 1: this guy right here, he wants everything to be about
- 15:32Speaker 1: him everything, and he wants to be like, well, that's
- 15:37Speaker 1: not he really wants to be like, no, tell me
- 15:40Speaker 1: he is. Though he's liked, oh he has. There some
- 15:48Speaker 1: people who clapped for him, who think every word out
- 15:52Speaker 1: of his mouth is just the greatest thing that's happening.
- 15:56Speaker 1: It's kind of disturbing to see because it's actually when
- 16:00Speaker 1: he says something that's just you can't possibly think it's okay.
- 16:06Speaker 1: These killings have slowed our momentum. Not that we should
- 16:10Speaker 1: be to have our momentum slow bodies crazies that have
- 16:14Speaker 1: committed these murders this week, but it did slow our momentum.
- 16:18Speaker 1: You just go, what did you just say? You know, man,
- 16:23Speaker 1: Pittsburgh was grieving when you said that. You know, I
- 16:28Speaker 1: do stuff, I do stupid stuff. But he not even trying.
- 16:34Speaker 1: M I don't think everything. Nobody think nobody okay, but
- 16:43Speaker 1: you know the thing about don't you're you're you're you
- 16:49Speaker 1: you are a certain way, but you're not You're not
- 16:52Speaker 1: a bad guy, thank you. You know you're not a heart.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You know you're not a mean person. You're you're you're
- 16:59Speaker 1: stupidity is confined, thank you. Does he have a mean streak? Good? Thanks? No, no, no,
- 17:07Speaker 1: but no he's not mean though, No, he's not mean
- 17:10Speaker 1: his core. No, no, good heart. He's human and he
- 17:13Speaker 1: gets mad, but this is way human? Does he get stop? Yeah?
- 17:22Speaker 1: About to get mad? Yeah? Really really when you're here
- 17:28Speaker 1: really twice, it's time to start. Last time you shut
- 17:33Speaker 1: it down to see you said straight up, Steve. Hey, hey, y'all,
- 17:43Speaker 1: don't see this coming here. Sometimes we're just here for it.
- 17:45Speaker 1: But you were not here for it that near. Plus
- 17:49Speaker 1: the subject matter, that's why I said, boy, y'all, don't
- 17:54Speaker 1: he's nothing to play about this because we all know
- 17:56Speaker 1: how to push each other's buttons. And that's what's wrong.
- 18:00Speaker 1: We're going together so long. Everybody know everybody but easy man,
- 18:04Speaker 1: who do you think is the biggest button? Push you?
- 18:06Speaker 1: On the show, Shirley Strawberry had hands down, and we'll
- 18:12Speaker 1: throw somebody else can push it. You look like she
- 18:16Speaker 1: pushed hands down. The biggest mess started. She pushed the
- 18:23Speaker 1: but you keep it going. Oh, now you're a great
- 18:27Speaker 1: alley ooper. Now you will make the dunk. Who how
- 18:34Speaker 1: am I in the and you throw it to me?
- 18:39Speaker 1: And I don't? I don't. I almost feel like it's
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm obligating has Sometimes I don't even be wanting to,
- 18:47Speaker 1: but you gotta do it. But I'm up here body.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Sometimes it's just right there dangling, so you know, yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 1: but he do. Dr Jake dunks. He taking and bring
- 18:58Speaker 1: it back around. Yeah, I bring it back and make
- 19:02Speaker 1: the ball touch my butt? All right. Somebody on this show,
- 19:10Speaker 1: not necessarily on the mic, but someone on this show
- 19:13Speaker 1: has her lips poked out. Uh uh, Mr sipping Monta.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Today is her birthday. Happy from the sip baby, and
- 19:29Speaker 1: want you all to know that this election is blocking.
- 19:36Speaker 1: We should be prying catfish this morning. Really, you know
- 19:42Speaker 1: that I walked through my kitchen last night and that
- 19:46Speaker 1: was fried catfish. Where at my house? Did you eat
- 19:53Speaker 1: a piece? I mean, why are you bringing it out?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Because he's on the okay catfish, you're vegan, but wait, wait, wait,
- 20:04Speaker 1: wait wait, you're vegan with fish though, right, I mean no,
- 20:07Speaker 1: that's not a vegan vegan no animal. What is a Presbarterian? What? Yeah,
- 20:13Speaker 1: presteria Reid. He once again, you're praying for fish. You
- 20:20Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. It's one of the right. But
- 20:22Speaker 1: you don't You didn't need no fish when you're paid
- 20:24Speaker 1: for the kids. Yeah, I took a nugget, thank you.
- 20:29Speaker 1: He's bad. Yeah, I tried not, but it's catfish. Though.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Don't get no, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna be
- 20:39Speaker 1: able to do this. What be a vegan? I not
- 20:44Speaker 1: going into the holidays, no, sir, No, I don't know
- 20:47Speaker 1: if I'm gonna make it to the holiday. I said
- 20:51Speaker 1: I was gonna do it all the way to Thanksgiving.
- 20:53Speaker 1: But how's that working out? You know, I'm just not
- 20:57Speaker 1: um the food choices. And then you know, like Marjorie
- 21:03Speaker 1: eats fish. She's no chicken on meat, but she eats fish.
- 21:08Speaker 1: And it's kind of tough walking past that fish a
- 21:12Speaker 1: lot of times. And near my in laws are here,
- 21:15Speaker 1: they real food. No, damn, I love it too. Well.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Come on, now, you live all your life doing well,
- 21:23Speaker 1: Come on, at some point, you right, I want to
- 21:31Speaker 1: eat your mother in law's cook. That's what I want
- 21:33Speaker 1: to hug. So long is taste? Yeah, no, just don't

- 23:15Speaker 1: insurance group. I have you alls, lab results and everything
- 23:18Speaker 1: as far as your physicals and blood tests and things
- 23:20Speaker 1: of that nature. Is there any way I could possibly
- 23:24Speaker 1: talk to both of you guys at the same time,
- 23:26Speaker 1: You and Harvey. Is that possible? Um? Well, sure, he's
- 23:29Speaker 1: at work right now, but I can get him on
- 23:31Speaker 1: the five. Okay, it will be Uh, it would be
- 23:34Speaker 1: kind of easy if I kind of explained everything to
- 23:35Speaker 1: both of you guys at the same time. Is that
- 23:37Speaker 1: if that's okay? Okay? Somehow? Uh? No, nothing's wrong. I
- 23:41Speaker 1: mean I think I need to just try to bring
- 23:42Speaker 1: a few things that you guys attention. But I think
- 23:45Speaker 1: you know, after that, it's pretty much you guys decision
- 23:47Speaker 1: on what you do. But I just wanted to let
- 23:48Speaker 1: you know a few things about you know, the results
- 23:51Speaker 1: and things of that nature, Life Insurance, the whole nine yards. Okay, Okay,
- 23:56Speaker 1: let me talking to them on the phone. Hey babe,
- 24:00Speaker 1: sweet are Um Look, I got the insurance people on
- 24:02Speaker 1: the line. They want to get both of us on
- 24:04Speaker 1: the phone, uh, to talk to us about the insurance stuff. Hey, Harvey,
- 24:09Speaker 1: are you doing this is keep keep from the insurance group?
- 24:13Speaker 1: How are you? Hey? Good with that? Nicky? Good? Good? Listen? Um,
- 24:16Speaker 1: I wanted to give you guys a call and kind
- 24:18Speaker 1: of follow up. And you guys did physicals and blood
- 24:21Speaker 1: tests and the whole nine yards, and I wanted to
- 24:22Speaker 1: give you guys a call. It's kind of better if
- 24:24Speaker 1: I talked to both of you guys at the same time.
- 24:26Speaker 1: So if you have a minute that we can actually
- 24:28Speaker 1: use a kind of get some of this information out
- 24:30Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'm gonna break
- 24:32Speaker 1: right now. I'm good. Okay, great. First of all, we've
- 24:35Speaker 1: gotten all your your lab results back everything, and I
- 24:38Speaker 1: kind of got a few questions for you guys that
- 24:40Speaker 1: I'm a little puzzled on. How long have you guys
- 24:43Speaker 1: actually been married. We've been again about three years, okay, now,
- 24:48Speaker 1: prior to being married three years, How long did you
- 24:50Speaker 1: guys know each other before you got married? About five
- 24:54Speaker 1: and a half five six kids? Okay, you guys have
- 24:58Speaker 1: been knowing each other pretty close to nine years now altogether. Yeah, okay,
- 25:02Speaker 1: are you actually from the same hometowns? You grew up
- 25:04Speaker 1: in the same hometown? Yeah, yeah, yeah, we grew up.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I mean if I'm sorry, is this question I mean,
- 25:11Speaker 1: is this about the insurance or well, I mean there
- 25:14Speaker 1: are a few things that's that actually uh puzzling, Carmen,
- 25:18Speaker 1: that we need to this this this is actually didn't
- 25:23Speaker 1: bring you guys. I mean we have to. I have
- 25:26Speaker 1: to actually give you this news. Looking at our records,
- 25:29Speaker 1: looking at all the test results, and let me be
- 25:31Speaker 1: the first to tell you that we run these results
- 25:33Speaker 1: over and over and over trying to make sure we
- 25:36Speaker 1: are completely a hundred and right. Okay, it's a problem
- 25:40Speaker 1: with the test. Well, looking at our test, guys, Harvey Carmen,
- 25:45Speaker 1: it's indicating that you guys are related. And nine times
- 25:49Speaker 1: I attend you are you guys are siblings, old man?
- 25:54Speaker 1: What And I understand the shot. It took me. It
- 25:58Speaker 1: took everything I had to make this phone call. I
- 26:00Speaker 1: did not want to make it. But looking at our records,
- 26:02Speaker 1: and we went over these records over and over and
- 26:05Speaker 1: and and the blow work shows us that you guys
- 26:08Speaker 1: are actually siblings. Man, kid, are you serious. I'm actually
- 26:19Speaker 1: this is not that. This is not a laughing matter,
- 26:21Speaker 1: not a joking matter. You know, Like I said, I
- 26:24Speaker 1: did not want to call with this information. What you
- 26:27Speaker 1: did make the call? Man? Look you, I don't know
- 26:31Speaker 1: what you need to go back and and and double
- 26:34Speaker 1: check your records or something. Because we've been married three
- 26:38Speaker 1: brief check with the laugh man, can you check with
- 26:41Speaker 1: the laugh and like Paul is back and and I
- 26:44Speaker 1: and I knew those questions would have come up, and
- 26:47Speaker 1: we we went over it. We went over it and
- 26:49Speaker 1: over and over it. Y'all need to go over again
- 26:52Speaker 1: because oh I got this. You made the call and
- 26:58Speaker 1: this gotta be wrong on So what you need to
- 27:00Speaker 1: do is make another call and call the lab and
- 27:04Speaker 1: call us back and let us know that you either
- 27:06Speaker 1: so they made a mistake or are you talking about
- 27:09Speaker 1: me and my wife? And I understanding hard Harry. Let
- 27:12Speaker 1: me ask you this is it possible, you know, and
- 27:14Speaker 1: this is just a question. Is it possible that your
- 27:17Speaker 1: dad and maybe her mom maybe knew each other at
- 27:20Speaker 1: some point And what you're saying by my mom and dad,
- 27:24Speaker 1: that's so straight. Look at you need to have go
- 27:27Speaker 1: back and do whatever you need to do. So I
- 27:30Speaker 1: think you what you say something like that again, I
- 27:32Speaker 1: think my back's gonna be coming down that beat you.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I'm saying like that, hold on, baby, old baby, baby baby,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I hold on, babe, I got this, hold on, I
- 27:41Speaker 1: got it, baby, I gotta baby, I gotta how you're
- 27:43Speaker 1: gonna call me with you what you don't know? You
- 27:47Speaker 1: from what people do like that? But that ain't I'm
- 27:49Speaker 1: un doing, sir. It's bringing you the result or I
- 27:52Speaker 1: should bring me the results in personally that I whop you.
- 27:55Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. Sorry, even if you beat
- 27:59Speaker 1: the messenger at the end to the day, that's still
- 28:01Speaker 1: your sister. At the end of the day. I'm gonna
- 28:03Speaker 1: want you. Look, I don't care what he's talking about. Nothing.
- 28:05Speaker 1: He ain't my damn brother got I'm gonna find out
- 28:09Speaker 1: whatever juperle you in. You're gonna call me time about brother.
- 28:14Speaker 1: It's my wife. I am sing that song. Somewhere down
- 28:17Speaker 1: the line. Somebody made a mistake, and you guys a
- 28:20Speaker 1: brother and sister got married. I'm not as far for that. Well,
- 28:23Speaker 1: let me tell you, don't shoot me mistake of calling.
- 28:25Speaker 1: He's on one of these numbers again, and your life
- 28:28Speaker 1: so I got one more test result I do need
- 28:30Speaker 1: to get you got all that all what you've been
- 28:34Speaker 1: talking about them? Well else you got to say, Now
- 28:36Speaker 1: it's gonna be watching. The only other touch resort I have, ma'am,
- 28:40Speaker 1: is that this is nephew taught me from the Steve
- 28:42Speaker 1: Harby Morning Show. You just got pranked by your girlfriends.
- 28:48Speaker 1: A I chold you ain't like watching. When I got
- 28:59Speaker 1: one thing, I got to ask both of y'all, what
- 29:02Speaker 1: is the baddest and I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 29:05Speaker 1: show in the landry Okay, okay, it could happen today today,
- 29:20Speaker 1: election election day. Election. I don't know about that. Yeah,
- 29:25Speaker 1: I got time for that. Today. We gotta what does
- 29:29Speaker 1: Monica doing for her birthday? We already voted so and
- 29:34Speaker 1: nobody has catfish yet, so we fried some fish for
- 29:37Speaker 1: at least cook some grits and fish and grits. Let's
- 29:40Speaker 1: do that when we don't work. So about eleven do
- 29:45Speaker 1: that brunch so to speak? Okay, I like it all right,
- 29:49Speaker 1: we gotta go. Hey up. Next to entertainment news, Rihanna
- 29:52Speaker 1: says she does not want her music play that Trump
- 29:54Speaker 1: rallies anymore. Stop it. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Coming up at twenty after the hour, Stacy Abrahams will
- 30:05Speaker 1: be our special guest. She is running for a Democratic
- 30:09Speaker 1: governor of Georgia. Thank you very much. He will be
- 30:12Speaker 1: our first African American female to win that post. And
- 30:17Speaker 1: she can do it if you get out and vote,
- 30:20Speaker 1: do your part. But right now, in today's entertainment News,
- 30:23Speaker 1: Steve Rihanna says she does not want her music being
- 30:27Speaker 1: played at Trump rallies anymore. The presidential playlist wasn't even
- 30:31Speaker 1: on rerease radar until she got a tweet from Washington
- 30:34Speaker 1: Post reporter Philip Rucker, who wrote, it's been it's been
- 30:38Speaker 1: said a million times, but here's a million in one.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Trump's rallies are unlike anything else in politics. Currently, Rihanna's
- 30:46Speaker 1: don't stop the music is blaring in Chattanooga, as aids
- 30:49Speaker 1: toss free Trump T shirts into the crowd like a
- 30:52Speaker 1: ball game. Everyone's loving it, she responded. Rihanna responded, not
- 30:57Speaker 1: for much longer. Okay, me, me or my people would
- 31:01Speaker 1: ever be at or around one of these tragic rallies.
- 31:04Speaker 1: So thanks for the heads up, Philip. Remember last month,
- 31:08Speaker 1: Farrell was upset we talked about that on this show. Uh,
- 31:11Speaker 1: he did not want his song Happy being played. He
- 31:13Speaker 1: was upset when he heard the song Happy it was
- 31:16Speaker 1: being played at Trump rallies. Happy. Yeah, yeah, I think
- 31:24Speaker 1: it's DJ and Duranty. But that's what we need to
- 31:26Speaker 1: find out. Who's DJ and durand who's playing this music?
- 31:29Speaker 1: But don't worry, he'll get a short and desist and
- 31:37Speaker 1: hello gold digger, what is he gonna play? And saying digger?
- 31:47Speaker 1: All right? Another entertainment news, Wesley Snipes is in trouble
- 31:51Speaker 1: again with the I R S. He can't be you know,
- 31:55Speaker 1: you can't be. I don't think he ever got out
- 31:58Speaker 1: of the last ones. What do you do? You go
- 32:02Speaker 1: to jail, dog, but when you get out you still
- 32:05Speaker 1: oh don't you you don't just okay, but you got
- 32:07Speaker 1: to pay. Don't If you're going to jail for some
- 32:10Speaker 1: go go here. But you gotta you gotta work. I mean,
- 32:14Speaker 1: what would you say? And since he's been I wish
- 32:16Speaker 1: his TV show had made it because I really liked
- 32:19Speaker 1: his TV show. It was really good. Yeah, alright, what
- 32:25Speaker 1: are you? Just can't come on? Okay? All right, listen
- 32:32Speaker 1: they want him to pay. Twenty three point five million
- 32:35Speaker 1: dollars he claims. Wesley claims he's only got eight hundred
- 32:39Speaker 1: and fifty thousand dollars basically. Uh. Wesley, who served three
- 32:44Speaker 1: years in jail after being convicted of three misdemeanor counts
- 32:47Speaker 1: of failing to file tax returns, wanted to settle his
- 32:50Speaker 1: case and have the lean taken off his house. The
- 32:53Speaker 1: i r S lowered his original bill from twenty three
- 32:55Speaker 1: point five dollars to seventeen point five million, and they
- 32:59Speaker 1: rejected his off For now, he's filed a petition to
- 33:02Speaker 1: overturn that decision. You know what, I think he's fighting it.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I think you know, here's a deal. You know, if
- 33:12Speaker 1: you are, I think the i's a bit unfair if
- 33:17Speaker 1: you haven't filed and you owe the money and then
- 33:21Speaker 1: you go you you've been out of work three years
- 33:24Speaker 1: because you've been in prison. You can't make it. So
- 33:28Speaker 1: where is he gonna get it from? You know? I
- 33:30Speaker 1: mean and then three years in jail. I mean, you
- 33:35Speaker 1: got your twenty three Come on, man, that's that's being
- 33:40Speaker 1: a little bit much. It's a lot of a lot
- 33:44Speaker 1: of money. Better get busy to the movies, passenger, And
- 33:49Speaker 1: you can't just go make movies. Yeah, you gotta have
- 33:52Speaker 1: the backing. You gotta have what you gotta be a
- 33:57Speaker 1: box office draw you do. Yeah, don't body or nothing.
- 34:00Speaker 1: All right, Steve, It's time for today, miss and Trip.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Thank you very much everybody, and let's get this on.
- 34:09Speaker 1: This is election day, and everything is important, and all
- 34:12Speaker 1: of you are important. Okay, your vote matters, voting taking
- 34:16Speaker 1: part in Voters taking part in today's midterm elections could
- 34:19Speaker 1: change the balance of power on Capitol Hill up for
- 34:21Speaker 1: grabs today. All four thirty five seats in the House
- 34:24Speaker 1: of Representatives thirty five seats in the US Senate. Democrats
- 34:28Speaker 1: need at least twenty three wins in the House to
- 34:31Speaker 1: rest power from the Republicans. In addition, they are almost
- 34:34Speaker 1: forty group mentorial races to be decided, as well as
- 34:37Speaker 1: the makeup of state legislatures. Today's battling seen as a
- 34:40Speaker 1: referendum on the Republican Party's control of Congress, and of course,
- 34:43Speaker 1: on President Trump's popularity. The president campaign for GOP candidates
- 34:47Speaker 1: in three states yesterday, Ohio, Indiana, and Missouri. Trump has
- 34:52Speaker 1: socystem thirty political rallies since Labor Day. He says he's
- 34:55Speaker 1: feeling positive about the Republicans hold on the Congress. I
- 34:58Speaker 1: think we're doing well. I think the Senate we're doing
- 35:01Speaker 1: very well. And I think we're gonna do very well
- 35:03Speaker 1: in the House. Meanwhile, Trump says that he seems to
- 35:06Speaker 1: be hedging his bets, as he often does. He's warning
- 35:09Speaker 1: everybody on Twitter now that illegal voting will be prosecuted,
- 35:13Speaker 1: strongly prosecuted, were his words. The president falsely claimed. You
- 35:16Speaker 1: may remember after the twenty sixteen elections that millions of
- 35:19Speaker 1: votes were illegally cast, because he lost the popular vote
- 35:22Speaker 1: in the presidential election by some three million. Meanwhile, former
- 35:25Speaker 1: President Obama has also been campaigning, but for the Democrats,
- 35:29Speaker 1: of course, because he said this one's important. Healthcare is
- 35:31Speaker 1: on the ballot. You vote, you might save a life.
- 35:34Speaker 1: That's pretty rare where that happens. Making sure work and
- 35:36Speaker 1: families get a fair shot. That's on the ballot. But
- 35:39Speaker 1: most importantly, the character of this country is on the
- 35:41Speaker 1: ballt Who we are is on the ballot. And Mr
- 35:44Speaker 1: Obama campaigned in Gary, Indiana over the weekend and in Fairfax,
- 35:47Speaker 1: Virginia yesterday. By the way, he reminded people of something
- 35:50Speaker 1: people on the other side of the island not telling anybody. Meanwhile,
- 36:03Speaker 1: thousands of fake Democrats have disappeared from the Internet. Now
- 36:05Speaker 1: the Twitter deleted a bunch of faker bots set up
- 36:08Speaker 1: to discourage voting from sympathizers of the Democrats. The social
- 36:11Speaker 1: media site says it recently dumped more than ten thousand
- 36:14Speaker 1: automated accounts posing as Democrats that were trying to discourage
- 36:18Speaker 1: Democratic men from voting, claiming something silly like that would
- 36:21Speaker 1: supposedly drown out the voices of the women in the parts.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I'm stupid like that. And according to an Atlanta TV station,
- 36:26Speaker 1: a white supremacist group has released a racist and sexist
- 36:29Speaker 1: and anti semitical robot called Georgia Voters, with a man
- 36:33Speaker 1: pretending to be Oprah Winfrey targeting black female guvnatorial candidate
- 36:36Speaker 1: Stacy Abras, despite the fact that the real Oprah actually
- 36:39Speaker 1: campaigned for Misabrams last week. Finally, today is National Basketball Day,
- 36:48Speaker 1: but we're not playing. Okay, this is election day, We're
- 36:50Speaker 1: not playing today. Gugnatorial candidate Stacy Abras is our special guest.
- 36:55Speaker 1: At twenty minutes after the hour on the Steve Harvey
- 36:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to Morning Show. Hey, everybody joining
- 37:02Speaker 1: us now, we promised you was gonna be a morning
- 37:05Speaker 1: of of just some great interviews. Today we have the
- 37:09Speaker 1: Democratic gubatorial candidate in the state of Georgia. She will
- 37:14Speaker 1: be the first African American female governor in Georgia and
- 37:18Speaker 1: as the next governor of Georgia, She's committed to expanding Medicaid,
- 37:22Speaker 1: improving public schools, creating good paying jobs across the state.
- 37:26Speaker 1: She's uniquely equipped to create a Georgia where everyone has
- 37:30Speaker 1: the freedom and opportunity to thrive. This is one of
- 37:34Speaker 1: the tightest governors races in the nation. And your vote
- 37:37Speaker 1: today and we are harping on this and have been
- 37:40Speaker 1: for the past six weeks. Your vote to date matters.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Please welcome to the show for the first time, Miss
- 37:45Speaker 1: Stacy Abrams. Well, Miss Abrams, how are you? I am good?
- 37:54Speaker 1: And we are twelve hours away from victory. This is
- 37:58Speaker 1: this is huge and I'm just so honored to be
- 38:00Speaker 1: in the position to to help make history in America.
- 38:03Speaker 1: This has been a tough race. How would you describe
- 38:07Speaker 1: this campaign and what do you think you've tried to convey?
- 38:10Speaker 1: I think that this has been a very tough campaign
- 38:12Speaker 1: and spirited, But what I've tried to do from the
- 38:15Speaker 1: very beginning is standing my values. I was raised by
- 38:18Speaker 1: my parents, believe in faith and family and service, and
- 38:22Speaker 1: that we have responsibility to do with right. And so
- 38:25Speaker 1: if you look at my campaign from the beginning until
- 38:28Speaker 1: the very end, we have run on the same three issues, education,
- 38:32Speaker 1: health care, and jobs, because I know if you have
- 38:35Speaker 1: access to those three things, your life can be better
- 38:38Speaker 1: in Georgian across the country. Yeah, hey, now, let me
- 38:40Speaker 1: talk to you about health care for one second, because
- 38:43Speaker 1: we're getting some conflicting information. Because all of a sudden,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I've noticed that your opponent and other opponents in the
- 38:51Speaker 1: other party are saying that they don't want to do
- 38:54Speaker 1: away with pre existing conditions, But what they're actually doing
- 39:00Speaker 1: is actually that very same thing. I think the word
- 39:03Speaker 1: you're looking for is their hypocrites, um And and that's
- 39:08Speaker 1: part of the challenge of this election that they have
- 39:11Speaker 1: counted on, especially in mid terms. They've counted on people
- 39:14Speaker 1: not paying attention. And what has happened is that they
- 39:18Speaker 1: worked hard to dismantle to Affordable Care Act, to block
- 39:21Speaker 1: access to Medicaid expansion. They've voted multiple times to end
- 39:25Speaker 1: protections for pre existing conditions, and they're hoping that the
- 39:29Speaker 1: short term memories and long term memories of voters won't
- 39:32Speaker 1: recall what they've done. Part of the responsibility that I've
- 39:36Speaker 1: had that candidates across the country have has is to
- 39:38Speaker 1: remind people of who they are. That these are not
- 39:41Speaker 1: people you can trust with your health care, with your jobs,
- 39:44Speaker 1: or with your education, because they are not going to
- 39:46Speaker 1: tell us the truth. Yeah, what's been miss Abrams. The
- 39:50Speaker 1: thing that you've wanted to stress the most in your campaign,
- 39:54Speaker 1: if you could pull out one or two points, what
- 39:56Speaker 1: what what? What you're stressing? I talked about Medicaid expansion
- 40:00Speaker 1: because it is the corrux in the state, like Georgia,
- 40:03Speaker 1: of so many other opportunities. We have half a million
- 40:06Speaker 1: Georgians who are denied access to healthcare. That means, if
- 40:09Speaker 1: you have a stroke in certain party in the state
- 40:11Speaker 1: of Georgia, you can die before you see a doctor.
- 40:14Speaker 1: But it's also about the economics. It's about making sure
- 40:16Speaker 1: that we can create thousands of jobs across Georgia. And
- 40:19Speaker 1: then most personally to me, it's about criminal justice reform.
- 40:23Speaker 1: And people don't think about Medicaid expansion and criminal justice
- 40:25Speaker 1: in the same breath, but in the Deep South. The
- 40:28Speaker 1: number one provider of mental health here is not our hospitals,
- 40:31Speaker 1: it's our prison system. And we have a lot of
- 40:33Speaker 1: folks are going to jail because they haven't gotten the
- 40:36Speaker 1: help they need for bipolar disorder, for for schizophrenia, for
- 40:40Speaker 1: a range of mental health challenges. We're gonna take a
- 40:43Speaker 1: short break. We have the next governor of Georgia. If
- 40:45Speaker 1: we do our job today, the next governor of Georgia,
- 40:48Speaker 1: Miss Stacey Abril. Stay right there. We'll be right back
- 40:50Speaker 1: with more with the future governor of Georgia. You're listening
- 40:54Speaker 1: to Morning show. We're back and we're talking with Miss
- 40:59Speaker 1: Stacey Abril, who's a running for governor today. We got
- 41:02Speaker 1: to get out to the post. Let me get back
- 41:04Speaker 1: to this. Do you think that people out here really
- 41:08Speaker 1: understand that what your opponent is against, as well as
- 41:13Speaker 1: so many other Republicans there against things that they call
- 41:17Speaker 1: set aside and uh Medicaid fits into that category as
- 41:22Speaker 1: a set aside. For them, Medicaid is about covering a gap.
- 41:26Speaker 1: What people have to remember is that the way we
- 41:28Speaker 1: get healthcare and in America is through insurance. You get
- 41:33Speaker 1: private insurance to your employer if you are older or
- 41:36Speaker 1: if you're disabled, you get Medicaid, if you're elderly, you
- 41:39Speaker 1: get Medicare. But there's nothing for those who work full
- 41:43Speaker 1: time but don't get coverage unless they can pay for
- 41:46Speaker 1: it out of pocket. Medicaid expansion provides coverage, but it
- 41:50Speaker 1: reduces cost for everybody because the reality is poor people
- 41:53Speaker 1: get sick and they go to the doctor. The problem
- 41:55Speaker 1: is that they can't pay the bill the rest of
- 41:57Speaker 1: us do. Medicaid expansion means that they actually put their
- 42:01Speaker 1: part of the bill through a common pool that reduces
- 42:04Speaker 1: everyone's cost and actually the smartest economic decisions we can
- 42:08Speaker 1: make in Georgia. Wow, okay, now let me take you
- 42:13Speaker 1: for us up. Because Medicaid and and education, these are
- 42:18Speaker 1: things that affect Republicans also. What is it? What is
- 42:22Speaker 1: it that the Republican Party is saying to their constituents
- 42:29Speaker 1: that's causing them to not understand that what's happening in
- 42:33Speaker 1: Georgia is it's no longer working. Georgians want Medicaid expansion,
- 42:37Speaker 1: and here's why they've lost hospitals in Republican districts. They've
- 42:41Speaker 1: want jobs in Republican districts. Their kids can't go to
- 42:46Speaker 1: well funded schools because they don't have the tax base
- 42:48Speaker 1: they need in Republican districts. And what we're starting to
- 42:51Speaker 1: see is that people are connecting the dots. It's taken
- 42:54Speaker 1: a few years, and that's one of the challenges of politics.
- 42:57Speaker 1: It takes a while for the policies and the reality
- 43:00Speaker 1: to connect. And what Republicans take advantage of is the
- 43:04Speaker 1: fact that a lot of folks have too many of
- 43:05Speaker 1: the things on their minds to worry about what's happening
- 43:08Speaker 1: in their state House or what's happening in the Congress
- 43:11Speaker 1: until it affects their lives. And part of my responsibility
- 43:14Speaker 1: as a candidate has then to talk to everyone, to
- 43:17Speaker 1: go to Republican districts, democratic areas, go to communities of color,
- 43:21Speaker 1: white communities, so across the state and talk about the
- 43:25Speaker 1: same issues everywhere, because as the next governor, I need
- 43:28Speaker 1: people to know I'm learning to be the governor of
- 43:29Speaker 1: all of Georgia, not just a select few. Well, you
- 43:34Speaker 1: know what you've You've read a really, really class race.
- 43:38Speaker 1: And you know, I mean, we just take our hat
- 43:41Speaker 1: off to you because we've watched you come under attack
- 43:46Speaker 1: from so many angles, and the class with which you've
- 43:49Speaker 1: stood there and handle every question, even when he backed
- 43:55Speaker 1: out of debates. I mean, but I got it though
- 43:58Speaker 1: I show got it. I would and went down there
- 44:00Speaker 1: and debated you either when he debates, I said, this
- 44:07Speaker 1: boy right here, I can't go to him that this
- 44:10Speaker 1: woman embarrass me like this. So we're saying to you, congratulations.
- 44:14Speaker 1: We've been harping on this for weeks. Now we are
- 44:17Speaker 1: getting to the polls and record numbers. I want you
- 44:21Speaker 1: to know that the entire Steve Harvey Morning Show UH
- 44:24Speaker 1: went out and pre voted and posted it on all
- 44:27Speaker 1: of our social media and we wasn't shame about who
- 44:31Speaker 1: we voted for. Me and my wife went back to Atlanta. Uh.
- 44:35Speaker 1: We're good friends with a friend of yours, the um
- 44:41Speaker 1: Vicky Palmer or JP Palmer, and they told us about
- 44:46Speaker 1: you and we got on it right away. Thank you
- 44:49Speaker 1: so much. You have our you have our support today
- 44:53Speaker 1: and we're gonna show up in record numbers and we're
- 44:55Speaker 1: gonna send a message, UH that the country the way
- 44:58Speaker 1: it is being represented is not the way we want
- 45:00Speaker 1: to representative. That we want to be an all inclusive
- 45:03Speaker 1: country and we and we recognize the fact that you
- 45:06Speaker 1: represent that. Miss Stacy Abrams, and today we're gonna make
- 45:09Speaker 1: you proud. Thank you so much, and thank you for
- 45:12Speaker 1: the civic spirit you've shown for helping us get the
- 45:14Speaker 1: vote out. All names and gentlemen to the polls today,
- 45:20Speaker 1: Miss Stacy Abrams, so much. Thank you. Take care our next, Governor. Yeah, alright,
- 45:28Speaker 1: congratulations ahead of time, Miss Stacy Abrams. We wish you
- 45:32Speaker 1: the best. We'd love you girl. We can do it,
- 45:38Speaker 1: Yes we can, Governor Abrams. Governor Stacy Abrams saying up next,
- 45:45Speaker 1: it is a nephew with today's praying phone call. Right
- 45:48Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 45:53Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. Right about four
- 45:55Speaker 1: minutes after, it's today's strawberry letter. Oh, I got a
- 45:58Speaker 1: good one for you today. Object, I can't stand a
- 46:02Speaker 1: sorry man. All right, that's the subject right now, But
- 46:08Speaker 1: that's not the letter. I don't nderstand. I don't write
- 46:11Speaker 1: the answer to the right now. It is the nephew
- 46:15Speaker 1: here with today's prying phone call. Well in lieu of
- 46:18Speaker 1: what today is? What is today? Today is election day,
- 46:22Speaker 1: This is voting day. Get out and vote the name
- 46:25Speaker 1: of this Frank you who would you vote for? You
- 46:29Speaker 1: can't ask it all in it? Huh in your booth.

- 46:41Speaker 1: vote for? I'm in your boots. Need to know that
- 46:44Speaker 1: the thing you'd be scrolling down. I'm all in there,
- 46:47Speaker 1: all right, don't vote just just on the way down blue.
- 46:49Speaker 1: You don't know what you're doing that go individually. I
- 46:52Speaker 1: went by each one, you know that. Yeah, I had
- 46:54Speaker 1: to vote it early, so I had a color mine
- 46:56Speaker 1: in the little dot. Y'all was cutting yes, yes, us
- 47:01Speaker 1: in a scantron. We don't care who you vote for.
- 47:06Speaker 1: It is Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach your earnest
- 47:11Speaker 1: you while Mr Ernest I with Mr Americans Survey. And
- 47:18Speaker 1: what we're doing is we're calling around two different households
- 47:22Speaker 1: about the whole Um presidential race. But right now we're
- 47:26Speaker 1: focusing on calling uh well, we're focusing on calling up.
- 47:32Speaker 1: We're focusing on calling black people black people. Yeah, well,
- 47:38Speaker 1: I mean, it's just something that we're doing. And we
- 47:41Speaker 1: want to try and figure out exactly who you people
- 47:44Speaker 1: are voting for, because that's important right now. I don't
- 47:48Speaker 1: think well, we want to know exactly which way the
- 47:52Speaker 1: votes are gonna be going here in the in the
- 47:54Speaker 1: whole running of the presidential race. So we're just trying
- 47:58Speaker 1: to figure out who you're voting for. Four of all,
- 48:01Speaker 1: it really is on the open, sir, about who I
- 48:03Speaker 1: vote for. But wall I vote for? We're getting y'all
- 48:05Speaker 1: people out of I see that. But because I'm tired,
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm tired of this bull. You can put that on
- 48:10Speaker 1: your dawn, saying like guy, so we tired this bully
- 48:13Speaker 1: tied he saw either the anasagees we could have changed it.
- 48:18Speaker 1: And if y'all mother, though I'll vote, what are you
- 48:22Speaker 1: voting for him just because he's black? Now? Is that
- 48:25Speaker 1: what you're doing? Right? That doesn't mean you sat back
- 48:30Speaker 1: to see if he qualifies, sir. That's why that's why
- 48:33Speaker 1: we're calling y'all because we think you're going about this
- 48:36Speaker 1: hell thing around. I'll tell you what, even if we
- 48:38Speaker 1: are going about it wrong, that's how we're gonna do it.

- 49:35Speaker 1: to get dead off with somebody. I was somebody who
- 49:37Speaker 1: would be at the polls telling me who to vote for,
- 49:39Speaker 1: who I can't vote for. We're gonna show y'all, we're
- 49:42Speaker 1: going to have people at them polls and we're gonna

- 49:51Speaker 1: and why you're voting for him. Man, you got from

- 49:57Speaker 1: trying to work, and I don't really hard with you
- 49:59Speaker 1: on the fine with some books. This is a survey.
- 50:02Speaker 1: We are randomly calling black people and we have the
- 50:05Speaker 1: right to do that. Okay, I understand the survey, but
- 50:07Speaker 1: you need to you need to watch how you talk
- 50:09Speaker 1: to people. Man. You can't to be calling people with
- 50:11Speaker 1: that like that. You don't. You don't come calling somebody

- 51:58Speaker 1: told to everybody that I know they don't vote, we

- 52:05Speaker 1: feller can't run this country like we can't. We know
- 52:09Speaker 1: what it takes to run this country. I know we've
- 52:12Speaker 1: gone through some a few a few glitches here and there,
- 52:16Speaker 1: but it ain't been that bad. Slow it up and

- 56:00Speaker 1: Let you be great. All right there we go. Thank you? Huh,
- 56:08Speaker 1: Steve Tom reminded me of Woodrow. No, look you have
- 56:16Speaker 1: read subject. I can't stand a sorry man. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 56:26Speaker 1: I am a thirty six year old single mother of
- 56:28Speaker 1: four who met a very handsome army vet at work
- 56:32Speaker 1: back in two thousand sixteen. After dating for six months,
- 56:35Speaker 1: he told me that he had to move out of
- 56:37Speaker 1: his rental home because the owners had sold it, and
- 56:40Speaker 1: he asked me if he could stay with me for
- 56:42Speaker 1: a while. Against my better judgment, I agreed to let
- 56:46Speaker 1: him move in temporarily. A month later, he was laid
- 56:50Speaker 1: off from his job. Two months after that, his car
- 56:53Speaker 1: got repossessed, so he was unemployed and did not have
- 56:57Speaker 1: transportation to go job hunting or to go un jobbed interviews.
- 57:01Speaker 1: While he was out of work and was not bringing
- 57:04Speaker 1: money into the household, he cooked and cleaned and did
- 57:07Speaker 1: all of the yard work, but I had to constantly
- 57:09Speaker 1: prompt him to do these things. I got fed up
- 57:13Speaker 1: with coming home and seeing him on the couch playing videos,
- 57:15Speaker 1: so I gave him him an ultimatum to find a
- 57:18Speaker 1: job or leave. He has a job now, but he
- 57:21Speaker 1: only makes enough money to take care of himself, and
- 57:24Speaker 1: there's nothing left for bills or groceries. This has put
- 57:27Speaker 1: a major strain on our relationship and intimacy because his
- 57:33Speaker 1: lack of ambition is such a turn off. I need
- 57:35Speaker 1: for him to get out so I can move on
- 57:37Speaker 1: with my life. When I talked to him about moving,
- 57:40Speaker 1: he said he has no plans to leave anytime soon
- 57:43Speaker 1: because he needs to save up some money first. I
- 57:45Speaker 1: already have four children and I don't need a fifth child.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, please help me figure out how to get
- 57:52Speaker 1: this grown man out of my house. Well, you're absolutely
- 57:57Speaker 1: right in saying this. Uh, this grown and has got
- 58:00Speaker 1: to get out of your home. He really does. Sometimes.
- 58:03Speaker 1: You know, we as ladies were just a bit too nice,
- 58:06Speaker 1: aren't we? And we don't listen to ourselves to our
- 58:09Speaker 1: into it our intuition, do we. You sat against your
- 58:13Speaker 1: better judgment, That was you telling yourself you shouldn't do this.
- 58:18Speaker 1: So you already knew when you allowed him to come
- 58:21Speaker 1: into your home. And I don't care. No one is
- 58:24Speaker 1: that handsome, no one? All right? Uh, he's taking advantage
- 58:29Speaker 1: of you. He's taking advantage of your four kids, and
- 58:32Speaker 1: now you know you cannot allow him to do this
- 58:34Speaker 1: any longer. You gotta let him know today, today, without
- 58:38Speaker 1: any hesitation, without any second thoughts, that he has to go.
- 58:42Speaker 1: If you're nervous, if you're a little you know, apprehensive
- 58:45Speaker 1: about doing it, please have someone with you, preferably a
- 58:48Speaker 1: male or two or three. Uh. You gotta have someone
- 58:52Speaker 1: with you when you tell him. You also have to
- 58:54Speaker 1: change the locks on the doors, all of that. Uh,
- 58:57Speaker 1: pack his clothes, whatever you have to do. But this
- 58:59Speaker 1: man has to go. Okay. Uh, you've gone over and
- 59:02Speaker 1: beyond the call of duty with this vet, and there's
- 59:04Speaker 1: no need for you to do anything else except for
- 59:08Speaker 1: show him the door the way out. Steve, Well, this
- 59:12Speaker 1: letter don't make no sense from the beginning. You're thirty
- 59:15Speaker 1: six year old single mother four. You met a handsome
- 59:18Speaker 1: army vet at work in two thousand sixteen. After dating
- 59:22Speaker 1: six months, he said he got to move out of
- 59:25Speaker 1: his runtal home because they sold it. Then he asked
- 59:28Speaker 1: you could he come stay for a while. See me
- 59:31Speaker 1: right here, I'd already started counting people in rooms already.
- 59:38Speaker 1: See y'all, you got four kids that you love and
- 59:41Speaker 1: take care of your thirty six I don't know what
- 59:43Speaker 1: you're stay in with all in rooms. But i'd have
- 59:47Speaker 1: just started counting rooms and people. A month later, he
- 59:51Speaker 1: got laid off from his job after he moved in,
- 59:55Speaker 1: then got his car repossessed. Let's see, if you got
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: put out your rental house, your next move should be
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: to go get another rental house, not to come and
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: leach off this woman, single mother trying to make hiss me.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I mean, just right there, why would you burden her
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: with that? Now she didn't know how burden some you
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: was gonna become. And then you went on and proved it.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: A month later you got laid off from your job.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Two months after that the car got representsed. Okay, so
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: three months he made a car payment. They're making some
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: serious phone calls. At three moments he let him, He
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: let him pick up the car. So how but how
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: they repossess his car? Yeah, he ain't it work, so
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: they know where he work. He ain't it work, and
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: he ain't at his house cause they took the house.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: How they know the car was over there at your house.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I'm just trying to do. I'm telling you that REAPO
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: people ain't that. Yeah, man, how do they what? But
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: in the third month, though, stupid then he was out
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: of work. He wasn't bringing in no money into the house.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: He tried to cook and clean and did the yard work,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: but you had to constantly prompt him to do things.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Then you're coming home, he on the couch playing video games.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: He wanted the kids for real. Now, so you're told
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: him to find the job of leave. Well now he
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: got a job now, but he only makes enough money
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: to take care of himself, and there's nothing left for
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Bill the groceries. I don't understand this. What is he
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: doing with the money if he ain't helping you with it?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: He has no car, car note gun. He ain't got
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: no rent. The rent gone but not he and he
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: still ain't pitching in now. He ain't sorry, man, This
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: dude right here, he's he's a little worse than sorry.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: But you you can't help this woman at all with
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: these folk kids. Whatever money you're making on to go
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: into the pile to help out, you've been living on
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: it for months now. He has put a major strain
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: on our relationship and into me said, I won't sleep
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: with nobody broke. It's up in here. You all slept
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: with a broke ram before. It's gotta be hard here
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: and here. Won't all this from you? What? Come on now,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: let me have it, Come on, do it to me,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Come on home. Put your leg over here. Hey, you
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: ain't working. Not putting my leg nowhere? This is all
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I'm doing. We don't touch me. That's all right, Steve,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: hold that thought. Okay, we're gonna have part two of
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: your response to this letter of this crazy relationship right
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: after this. We'll be back at twenty three after you're
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, coming up
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: in about twenty minutes, but Kari Sellers from CNN, we'll
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: be here to talk about this very special election day.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: And right now, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Part two of your response to the subject. I can't
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: stand a sorry man. Sorry man. Met him here in
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the military, moved him and he fell out, lost his house.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: She moved in with her. He loses his job and
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: took his car. He ain't paying rent. He paying at
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the laying at the house watching videos. You're coming home.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: You're getting frustrated. And now you say that him not
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: working in chipping in and he got a job, but
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: his job. Don't let him chip in because he needs
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: all money for us. So it has affected YO into
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: us sleeping with a broke man. God, it's got to
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: be it has you was broken? People slept with you though,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and it had to be What did you sleep with
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: me for? You? See, I'm homeless. All my stuff in
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: my car. We can't go nowhere without moving stuff. I
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: had stuff in the passenger seat. Yeah, you still need love.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Be no love, Get get a lot of somebody and
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: give you something back. Looking to hope. People do each other. Yeah,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: oh they did all time. Yeah they do it too
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: much too. They really need to be somewhere sitting down.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Then they mess around health baby and everybody up been
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: here pot now Now the baby don't even know what
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: reality is no more. He just struggling because y'all have
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: made the ignorant. Asked to see poe ass little baby
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: sitting up been here telling about why we ain't got
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: no TV. That's what the baby said. Where are you
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: going with it? Mama? What is all these candles for? Here? Man? Damn?
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Mama was having Why we need cornflicts with this tap
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: water on it? Mama for dinner? Mama? Did we had
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: corn bread yesterday? Pop? Why I got to get hit
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: every time I asked about this cord back pop. Okay, Damn,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I ain't gonna say nothing about the damn corner. I'm
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: in the letter. Just see is the letter damn kids
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: is complaining four kids? She has? Steve, Mama, I can't
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: play the video game because here now my maca drone
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: told me I can't sit on couch why TV? Because
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: keep playing mad? Is he really a vet? Steve? I
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: wanted to ask you that, yeah you're here, Vet, but
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: he giving them a bad That's just like cops is
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: cool to until they started getting bad name for some
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: bad cop. So anyway, already have four children, I don't
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: need to feel Stephen Shelly, please help me figure out
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: how to get this grown man out minds. I have
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: a solution. You feel unsafe, you don't feel secure with
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: him around. All you got to do is say that
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: to anybody at the court, and you will have a
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: restraint in order he can't come with it a hundred
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: yards of that house. Yeah, and all you want is
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: a restraint in order he got to go. You know
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: you've asked him to leave. He says he had to
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: know this would killed me about sorry, asked people, you
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: asked him to leave? He said, here, has no plans
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: to leave anytime soon because he needs to save up money.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Some money first, don't. I don't give a damn. What
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: are you saving? They go save it at your mama house.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: You got partners, gonna save it to want of the
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: army his house. Go back to the army. And they
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: ain't got bags for him or nothing. I don't know
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: how I work, but seemed like they want to let
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: you stay in the bed. Re sign up to basic
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: training again, that again, six weeks, get back down the
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: pass island. Volk brag. Get yourself signed up. That's it, lady.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: You need to restrain in order. He's worthless, and get
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the restraint in order because you don't feel safe. That's
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: all you have to say. You don't need a court date.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: You just need a restraining on that puts his ass out.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: You ain't sleeping with him, no way, you know. He asked,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: y'all having sex? He teld about who's it's the banks?
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Ask me who's else. Yeah, it's a lot going on.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: So that's what I'm for her. It's trifling, I do.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: She's just thirty six, she's got four kids and this man,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: and you know she met this dude here army that
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: you thinking, Wow, discipline exactly. That's why I asked you
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: that discipline people. Soldiers, military people are disciplined, people of honor.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Was respectable, you know. You know, man, they know how
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: to complete the task, their teamwork. That's what I've always
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: thought of when I think of military people, how they
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: function and reacting life. I know a lot of military
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: people who are really really good folks. Man earlier I'm
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: talking about man, Yeah, all of that. Can he go
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: in there upraising his voice, but not who you holding it?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: So working? You're just couching? Movie you move it. This
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: is crazy, you know. Yeah, she's got to take care
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: of her kids. Four kids. She's thirty six. She's just
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: thirty six years old. He's not Sureley, you said Tommy
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: was hands. You ain't seen me on my show bo
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I'm sexy. You ain't seen man surely work glass All right,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: listen when they describe y'all said that ain't tom We
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: gotta go, guys. You can email us or instagram us
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: your thoughts on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Coming up in ten minutes. He will be here, political pundent,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: political broadcaster, our friend Baccari sellers in the building. Good
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: you're listening to Hey everybody, I told you we were
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: gonna have some great guests today. Uh, we got another
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: special guest. He's a noted politician and attorney. He's one
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: of the youngest state representatives and the youngest black elected
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: official in the United States. He's currently a political correspondent
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: for CNN and I invited him on the show today
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: because it's voting day. It is time to make a move,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: and I just thought that his insight and his his
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: commentary could move some people today because we need everybody
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: to get to the post. Please welcome our friend Mr
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: bacard Sell. Thank god you just take it away. Man.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: What how significant is it today? What do you say
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: to people who say my vote doesn't count? What do
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: you say to people who are sitting on the sidelines? What?
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: What how do you How would you stir and and
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: and spur people to vote? Well, there are a few things.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: The first thing I would say is if your vote
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: wasn't important, people wouldn't work so hard to try to
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: take it from you. Um, that's first and foremost. The
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: second thing is I'm tired of having people who don't
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: represent us, who don't look like us, who don't understand
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: our culture, determining our future, determining our children's future. I mean,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: what's on the ballot is not just an individual but
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: it's on it's HBCU funding, it's health care for your
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: your children and your grandparents. UM, it's making sure that
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: we're not in senseless wars. UM. It's making sure that
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: you have a living way. The teachers get paid what
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: they need to get paid. We always say that this
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: election is the most important election of our lifetime, but
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: to day truly is. And so and the last thing is,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: my father was shot in the Orangeburg massacre February night
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: on the campus stop Rhnest. He was in prison, he
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: was housed on Death Road, just so that I could
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: stand on his shoulders and we would have an opportunity
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: to cast our ballot. So I don't take it for granted. UM.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: And we're not asking you to shed any blood. We're
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: not asking you to go to prison, but we are
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: asking you to stand in line and vote and exercise
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: your franchise because it's that important. Wow, these UM, A
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: lot of these elections are really close. What what what
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: would you say on behalf of the Stacey Abrams and
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: the Gilliams and the EPCs and and and and and
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: people like that. I mean, you've heard what you said before,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: But what would you say to get people to get
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: out there and make this happen for for folks like that? Well, man, look, first,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I have to just take my hat off to Stacy
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Abrams because I don't think people fully comprehend how hard
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: it is to be young, black, democratic, and female in
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: the South and to do and accomplished what she's already accomplished.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I mean it is a plus. I mean that that's
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: that is amazing and to overcome. I mean she is
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: running against a less dramatic throwback like the voter suppression
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: that Brian keimp is attempting to exert on old people
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: and people of color is unlike anything else. And she's
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: she's so strong. I mean, I I'd be furious, I'd
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: be ready to put hands or something. You know, it's different,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: but she is, she is so strong, and so I
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I I give her the utmost respect. And you know,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: now we can't let them down. They've they've done everything
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: because that Mike guest bees, the the Andrew Gilliams, the statiatums.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: But let me also say that, UM. Let me also
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: say this, UH, it's important for the for the listeners
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: you have and in misstance Shelby County in that area,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: UM to to turn out for Phil Preston in Tennessee. UM,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: it's important in Arkansas to turn out for Frank Scott,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: It's important in New Jersey to make sure they turn
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: out for Andy Kim and Cincinnati and on high the
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: turnout for at that peer of all, because what's been
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: going on in Washington, d C. Is they've been running
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: over us, not caring about it. If we're not at
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: the table, then were on the menu and we're not
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: at the table right now. That is true. It's it's
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: been interesting watching this and Donald Trump says something he said,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: a vote for them is a vote for me. It's
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: like this guy takes every moment and then he's trying
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: to distance himself from the possibility of what it looks
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: like they're gonna lose the House. I've never seen a
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: more petty person in office anywhere. Let loan the presidency. Well,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: now he's a sociopath, so let's mean you know, let's
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: just call it, call it what it is. And he
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: is on the ballot. I mean, do you over the
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: past four weeks, I mean, we we keep going back
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: to this, but on the past four weeks we've seen
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: anti semitism, xenophobian bigotry to raise his ugly head or
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: rear as ugly head in the form of violence. UM.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: That's the manifestation of his words. I was at Mother
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Emmanuel Ami UH this past Sunday. It's probably the only
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: place in the country that could feel the same pain
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: that the synagogue in Pittsburgh, and the pastor was so deep,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: and the pastor UH spoke from Proverbs and he talked
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: about the fact that your tongue can speak life or death. UM.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: And what we have right now is a president who
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: does not speak life into anyone but himself. UM. And
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: so we have to go out there and elect candidate
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: who will repudiate that, who will stop that rhetoric at
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: every turn, because we have an entire generation of people
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: who are going into this country and they think that
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: school shootings are commonplace. They think that they can't worship
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: in peace, that they can't be gay and be happy
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: and not be judged, uh that they can't go to
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: schools where their teachers are paid the right right prices,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: in right salaries, in their their buildings aren't falling apart. So,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I mean, we have to have someone, a candidate or
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: candidate who speak life. And that's why Andrew Gilliman is
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: so tough, and Stacy Abels are so tough, and Bato
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: O'Rourke in Texas are so tough because they use their
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: tongue to speak life into their constituents. And I just,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if it's gonna be enough,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: but I want everybody to know. I'm I'm so damn
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: proud of all of them that I'm gonna do everything
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I can until my last breath tomorrow to make sure
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: that I do everything I can to get him over
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: the hut. Well, this is exactly why we wanted you
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: on this show. Thank you so much for car thank
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: you for your for your support, for your leadership, for
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: your insight. It's just been incredible this entire election, and uh,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. Man, We're gonna get out here and
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: get it done. So thank you, brother. We appreciate you. Man.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: The crazy part about all of This is Wednesday morning,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: the race for President of the United States begin. So
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: if you thought it was over all, right, bro, thank you? Alright, alright,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: coming up an encore presentation of our interview with hopefully
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: the next governor of Georgia. We're gonna claim it and
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: put it out there, Miss Stacy Abrams. Right after this.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: You're listening, Hey, everybody joining us. Now, we promised you
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: was gonna be a morning of of just some great interviews.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Today we have the Democratic gubatorial candidate in the state
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: of Georgia. She will be the first African American female
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: governor in Georgia, and as the next governor of Georgia,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: she's committed to expanding Medicaid, improving public schools, creating good
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: paying jobs across the state. She's uniquely equipped to create
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: a Georgia where everyone has the freedom and opportunity to thrive.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: This is one of the tightest governors race in the nation.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: And your vote today and we are harping on this
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: and have been for the past six weeks. Your vote
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: to date, atters, Please welcome to the show for the
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: first time, Miss Stacy Abrams. Well, Miss Abrams, how are you?
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I am good? You know we are twelve hours away
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: from victory. This is uh, this is a huge and
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I'm just so honored to be in the position to
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: help make history in America. This has been a tough race.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: How would you describe this campaign and what do you
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: think you've tried to convey. I think that this has
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: been a very tough campaign and spirited. But what I've
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: tried to do from the very beginning is standing my values.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I was raised by my parents believe in faith and
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: family and service, and that we have a responsibility to
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: do with right. And so if you look at my
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: campaign from the beginning until the very end, we have
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: run on the same three issues, education, health care, and jobs,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: because I know if you have access to those three things,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: your life can be better in Georgian across the country. Yeah, hey, now,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: let me talk to you about health care for one second,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: because we're getting some conflicting information. Because all of a sudden,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I've noticed that your opponent and other opponents in the
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: other party are saying that they don't want to do
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: away with pre existing conditions, but what they're actually doing
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: is actually that very same thing. I think the word
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: you're looking for is their hypocrites, um and and that's
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: part of the challenge of this election that they have
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: counted on, especially in mid terms. They've counted on people
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: not paying attention. And what has happened is that they
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: worked hard to dismantle to Affordable Care Act, to block
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: access to Medicaid expansion. They've voted multiple times to end
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: protections for pre existing conditions, and they're hoping that the
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: short term memories and long term memories of voters won't
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: recall what they've done. Part of the responsibility that I've had,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: the candidates across the country have had is to remind
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: people of who they are that these are not people
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: you can trust with your healthcare, with your jobs, or
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: with your education, because they are not going to tell
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: us the truth. Yeah, what's been miss Abrams. The thing
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: that you've wanted to stress the most in your campaign,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: if you could pull out one or two points, what
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: what what? What you're stressing? I talked about Medicaid expansion
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: because it is the crux in the state, like Georgia,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: of so many other opportunities. We have half a million
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: Georgians who are denied actives to health care. That means
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: if you have a stroke in certain parting state of Georgia,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: you can die before you see a doctor. But it's
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: also about the economics. It's about making sure that we
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: can create thousands of jobs across Georgia. And then most
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: personally to me, it's about criminal justice reform. And people
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: don't think about Medicaid expansion and criminal justice in the
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: same breath. But in the Deep South, the number one
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: provider of mental health care is not our hospitals, it's
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: our prison system. And we have a lot of folks
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: are going to jail because they haven't gotten the help
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: they need from bipolar disorder, for for schizophrenia, for a
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: range of mental health challenges. Do you think that people
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: out here really understand that what your opponent is against,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: as well as so many other Republicans there against things
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: that they call set aside, and uh, Medicaid fits into
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: that category as a set aside. For them, Medicaid is
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: about covering a gas. What people have to remember is
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: that the way we get healthcare and in America is
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: through insurance. You get private insurance to your employer. If
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: you are older or if you're disabled, you get Medicaid.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: If you're elderly, you can get Medicare, but there's nothing
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: for those who work full time but don't get coverage
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: unless they can pay for it out of pocket. Medicaid
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: expansion provides coverage, but it reduces costs for everybody because
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: the reality is poor people get sick and they go
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: to the doctor. The problem is that they can't pay
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: the bill the rest of us do. Medicaid expansion means
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: that they actually put their part of the bill through
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: a common pool that reduces everyone's cost and actually the
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: smartest economic decision we can make in Georgia. Wow, Okay,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: now let me tell you for usselves. Because Medicaid and
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: and education, these are things that affect Republicans also, what
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: is it? What is it that the Republican Party is
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: saying to their constituents that's causing them to not understand
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: that what's happening in Georgia's it's no longer working. Georgians
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: want Medicaid expansion. And here's why they've lost hospitals in
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Republican districts. They've lost jobs in Republican districts. Their kids
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: can't go to well funded schools because they don't have
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: the tax base they need in Republican districts, and what
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: we're starting to see is that people are connecting the dots.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: It's taken a few years, and that's one of the
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: challenges of politics. It takes a while for the policies
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: and the realities to connect. And what Republicans take advantage
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: of is the fact that a lot of folks have
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: too many of the things on their minds to worry
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: about what's happening in their state house or what's happening
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: in Congress until it affects their lives. And part of
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: my responsibility as a candidate is then to talk to everyone,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: to go to Republican district, democratic areas, go to communities
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: of color, white communities, so acrost the state and talk
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: about the same issues everywhere, because as the mess governor,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: I need people to know I'm learning to be the
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: governor all of Georgia, not just a selection. Thank you
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: so much, you have our support today and we're gonna
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: show up in record numbers that we're gonna send a message,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: uh that the country the way is being represented is
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: not the way we want to represent it, that we
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: want to be an all inclusive country. And we and
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: we recognized the fact that you represent that, Miss Stacey Abrams,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: and today we're gonna make you proud. Thank you so much,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: and thank you for the civic spirit you've shown for
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: helping us get to vote out all of you names
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: and gentlemen to the polls today, Miss Stacy Abrams, thank you,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: Thank you. Take care our next governor. Coming up more
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. The state of
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Oregon goes back to the basics for elections. While states
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: across the country are worried about hackers and election meddling,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Oregon is sitting pretty right now. That's because they have
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: gone old school, gone or voting machines, all of that. Instead,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: residents there are mailed paper ballots that they fill out
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and mail back. That's the way they have done things
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: in the states twenty years. They've done it that twenty years. Okay,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: so so so so you can just like not open
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: somebody damn made but so far, so good though it
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: produces they say, consistently higher voter turnout members people there,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I don't know ye or you can look it up
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: Google to let I do it. But somebody to open
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: up all that mail. So they just you know, how
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: do you think they did it before they got voting
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: machines and stuff like that. I understand it, but we
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: got that many people working in organ um? Is that
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: a problem? Evidently it's Oregon. Yes, this boy here, man,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: I don't why I'm just reporting this story. This inorgan
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: killing the messenger talking about that. I can refer back
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: to earlier in the show. So he said, I deliberately
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: do super star. I love I love the stuff that
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: he'd be concerned about. Yeah, yeah, yes, thank you one
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: million people in order. Let's see how did that? How
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: does that feel? And we're gonna open up all this mail?
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Well some of his kids, yeah, some of my baby question,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: let's just say half at two point one? How does
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: that feel? Answer that you're worried about if they open
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: I'm worried about the vote as we getting all these
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: votes in Oregon. You know to day, don't your ass
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: live in Texas and l A, a little bit of Atlanta?
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: What is you all up in Oregon? Why should read
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: the damn started? I wanted to tell you guys, the
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: more things change, the more they stay the same. The
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: voting system is so popular in Oregon that the majority
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: of both parties back it. Surely I heard you, but
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: you called to so they just go that. Man, that's
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: how they've been doing it for twenty years. I know.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: Did you not hear me? They say you can't hack paper.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: That's according to the Secretary of State. What is he?
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: Why is this? He cares care? Oregon? Okay? You know,
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: have you ever performed in Oregon? Never? Have never never
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: been to Portlands. Now. I did plays important. That's the
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: only thing I've done important. You wouldn't up there, you know,
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: you know what I have. I was with Lutheran or
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: years ago. I did a little bit. You said you're
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: doing plays. Luther Ain't been in no place, no know,
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: just saying I've done plays in a in an open
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: polluting I made a mistake, brother that We'll be back
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: with more of this crazy stole. Papay was scheduled to
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: go up there. We didn't make it up there. What
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: was that about? Who still operates? That's how you throw
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: We didn't make it. That's the rock you give it
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: to somebody. What happened? They saw that play? The lam
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: so damn hard. We'll be back with more of the
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Show right now. In today's Entertainment News, Steve Rihanna says
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: she does not want her music being played at Trump
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: rallies anymore. The presidential playlist wasn't even on re rease
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: radar until she got a tweet from Washington Post reporter
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: Philip Rucker, who wrote, it's been it's been set a
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: million times, but here's a million in one. Trump's rallies
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: are unlike anything else in politics. Currently. Rihanna's don't stop
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: the music is blaring in Chattanooga, as aids toss free
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Trump T shirts into the crowd like a ball game.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Everyone's loving it, she responded. Rihanna responded, not for much longer. Okay, me,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: me nor my people would ever be at or around
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: one of these tragic rallies. So thanks for the heads up, Philip.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: Remember last month, Farrell was upset. We talked about that
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: on this show. Uh, he did not want his song
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: Happy being played. He was upset when he heard a
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: song happy it was being played at Trump rallies. Uh Happy, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: I think it's DJ and durand it. But that's what
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: we need to find out who' dj in Duran who's
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: playing this music? But don't worry, he'll get a short desist.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: Play Kanye Hello, God, Digger? What is he gonna play?
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: And saying digger? Alright. Another entertainment news, Wesley Snipes is
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: in trouble again with the I R s he can't be.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: You know, you can't be. I don't think you ever
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: got out of the last one. What do you do?
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: What are you going to jail? Dog? But when you
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: get out you still oh don't you you don't just okay,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: but you got to pay. Don't If you're going to
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: jail for something, go go here. But you gotta you
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: gotta work. I mean what you're saying since you've been
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: I wish his TV show had made it because I
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: really liked his TV show. Yeah it was really good. Yeah, alright,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: what are you? Just can't come on? Okay? All right, listen.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: They want him to pay twenty three point five million dollars,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: he claims. Wesley claims he's only got eight hundred and
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: fifty thousand dollars basically uh. Wesley, who served three years
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: in jail after being convicted of three misdemeanor counts of
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: failing to file tax returns, wanted to settle his case
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: and have the lean taken off his house. The i
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: r S lowered his original bill from twenty three point
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: five dollars to seventeen point five million, and they rejected
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: his offer. Now he's filed a petition to overturn that decision.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: You know what I think, So he's fighting it. I
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: think here's a deal. You know, if you all, I
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: think the I is a bit on fair. If you
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: haven't filed and you owe the money, and then you go,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: you you've been out of work three years because you've
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: been in prison. You can't make it. So where's he
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: gonna get it from? You know? I mean and then
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: three years in jail. I mean, you got your twenty
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: three Come on, man, that's that's being a little bit much.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: It's a lot of a lot of money. Better get
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: busy to the movies, pas. And you can't just go
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: make movies. Yeah, you gotta have the backing. You gotta
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: have what. You gotta be a box office drawing you do. Yeah,
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: don't nobody know nothing. All right, We'll be back with
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and to close
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: out the show, one last break right after this coming
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: up at forty nine after the hour you're listening to show.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: Here we are, Steve, last break of day on this
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: very important day, Election Day, two thousand eight, mid term elections.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Well what's happening. Well, let's do something different. We've been
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: in We've been uh imploring, is that the word to vote.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: We've been asking people to vote. We've been laying out
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: reasons why you should vote. We've explained our personal experience
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: with voting. So the only thing left for me to
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: do today on this important day is the hair. The
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: crew just asked me questions and no matter what you
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: asked me watch Highs, but asked me questions about anything relationship, money, jewelry, trial, vote, watch.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: I have a question, uh, Steve, we know that it's
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: today is Mississippi Monica's birthday. We have to get that in.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: So what are you going to get her for a birthday.
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna get h that dud in Mississippi. I won't
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: make him. I'm gonna make e c. I'm gonna get
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: him in the office because I'm gonna have people. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: that's what help. Your Your gift today will be Mike
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: EPs his name is spy. Do you think it could
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: be motivated for women to use that a gift for
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: me and to get them going there and vote something
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: they can do? Say the question again, like you think
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: women could use that to motivate me and to go vote,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Like you know, we gotta treat for you when you
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: get home if you go, Well, yeah, I think that's
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: a good way to do it. I know, if I'm
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: getting a treat, I'm going in there voting for everything.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: You know, we're gonna be voting, and I'm gonna carry
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: you down there to the polls with me so you
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: can see me voting, because I don't want no trouble
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: when we get back to the house. I got a question. Yeah,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: the black guy with the opponent till that stands behind Trump,
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: Uh what what? What you know? What would you tell
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: him on a voting day like today that they don't
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: care nothing about you. I don't even know why you're
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: standing over there. You always over there by your own
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: black set. That ought to be a clue right there,
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: sitting up in here with your hair pool back. I
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: don't know what you are. I don't know he had
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: a Trump Pens t shirt on you, so stupid. What
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: would you say to people that I feel like, you know,
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: the president is making this election all about him. What
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: would you say to that, Well, I'd say they're absolutely correct.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: He's not only made this election about him, he's made
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: the office of the presidency about him. He has made everything,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: every policy has been about him. And if we're sick
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: and tired of his policy, if we're sick and tired
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: of the way he's portraying us as Americans, then we
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: got to send a clear message to him that this
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: will not be tolerated. And we got to vote today. Okay,
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: I hear you talking about that. Good. I hear you
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: talking about voting. Today's election day. But how do I
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: know my vote is going to count today? Well, see
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: when you cast it. When you cast it, it's computerized,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: and that's how that it counts. Let me tell you what.
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: If you're asking that question, how do I know my
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: vote counts? That means you didn't vote before? And now
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: Donald Trump asked, is in the white What what else
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: do you need? Mr? Do I count? Well? When you
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: don't count a show, this is what we end up. Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: you want to vote, it's thinking you and Trump trying
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: to decide who get the last life? Vest, what do
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: you tell him, I'll be out there floating on his
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: chunk ahead. You can have a damn life, vest. I
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: want you to live. I don't want nothing to happened
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: to him, But why are you holding the life better?
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: I'll be on your biggers back. Good because I know
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: he floats. That's good. What do we tell people if
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: they ask who we voted for. I'm voting for anybody
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: but him, because he clearly said the other day a
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: vote for Republicans is a vote for me when I'm
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: voting for anybody but you. So if a vote for
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: Republican is a vote for you, then don't go to
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: them credit it is. I got a question. I got
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: a question, just off the top of your head. What
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: do you think will be the next governor of the
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: state of Georgia. Uh? This woman named Stacy Abrams. Yes, Yeah,
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: that's who I feel to be the next guy to Georgia. Stacy.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: I think Abrams. I think she's qualified. I think she
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: ran a great race. I think she stunned a lot
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: of people, and I think it's time. I think it's
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: time for a change. I've always said this a hundred
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: times on this show. If you keep doing what you've
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: been doing, you're gonna keep getting what you keep being getting.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: And if what you've been getting for Kemp you don't
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: like it, then it's time for change. What has Kemp
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: done for the state of Georgia? I lived that, absolutely nothing,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: absolutely nothing. Who do you think will be the next
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: governor of the state of Florida. I'm just gonna put
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: it to you like this, the Black and Florida come on,
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: because once again, if you keep doing what you've been doing,
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: you're gonna keep getting what you've been getting. And they
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: those two in debates have made a will more than
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: valid points and they look better than their opponents, and
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: I say they deserve a chance to represent us in
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: the House. Thank you very much, have a great weekend.
