- 2:28Speaker 1: come on, Mr Lake, Now, I like that. I got
- 2:30Speaker 1: I gotta call them money making man, missed. I appreciate that.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I appreciate that. Now, where are you based there? Let's
- 2:36Speaker 1: let's get everything. Let's get to the grassroots and everything here.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm based in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm originally from Miami, Florida. Okay,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I'm based here at We'll asked him over here in Collenges, Georgia.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I here while the cows, chickens and goats and things
- 2:51Speaker 1: out here in the country. Let's talk about newers and
- 2:56Speaker 1: newers with your career. Let's talk about your goal. You
- 3:00Speaker 1: went from you was in Florida, now you're moving to Georgia.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Or it's just gonna be a base for you, or
- 3:04Speaker 1: you have New York and d c's your car. What's
- 3:09Speaker 1: what my goal is? I do want to I want
- 3:12Speaker 1: to stay here. I brought a home here, I've been
- 3:14Speaker 1: I've been living here for the past. Uh. I would
- 3:18Speaker 1: say about seventeen years. Okay, right, I gotta I gotta break.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I gotta think like I'm forty three. I yeah, it's
- 3:26Speaker 1: been about seventeen years. I moved here. I'm getting ready
- 3:31Speaker 1: to term forty three. And um, I moved here with
- 3:35Speaker 1: a suitcase and nothing. And now you've become a dreammaker
- 3:40Speaker 1: or a decision maker, influencer. And with that being said,
- 3:46Speaker 1: what what what role does do you play having that
- 3:49Speaker 1: additional influence because it carries a burden with it. It It
- 3:52Speaker 1: carres a sense of people look to you and changes
- 3:55Speaker 1: need to be spoken about, a situation need to be announced,
- 4:00Speaker 1: or an influence at that level, it cares at a
- 4:02Speaker 1: high level responsibility. Let's talk about that in the community
- 4:04Speaker 1: that you embrace. Well, I'm a part of the LBGT community.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I am the tea part of the community. I'm a
- 4:12Speaker 1: transgender woman, UM, meaning that I was born male, I
- 4:18Speaker 1: transitioned to UH to preopertive man. I'm preppertive transact female.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But I'm I'm a woman, honey. I love it, love it,
- 4:35Speaker 1: love it. Um in my community. You know, I've I've
- 4:40Speaker 1: built a brand off of my social media. You know.
- 4:44Speaker 1: At one point, I used to be involved in the
- 4:46Speaker 1: adult entertainment industry, which I'm noticing now due to the
- 4:50Speaker 1: COVID nineteen, so many people have uh uh think they're
- 4:56Speaker 1: told over into that industry by you know, deviling gabbling
- 5:00Speaker 1: around and only fans. And I was like, wow, like
- 5:03Speaker 1: we have such big, huge celebrities, um, well, big celebrities
- 5:09Speaker 1: that have started to explore only fans. And then when
- 5:13Speaker 1: you have a pew celebrity like Beyonce, uh that that
- 5:17Speaker 1: wraps and says all my demon time, I might make
- 5:21Speaker 1: an only fans you know, and it just pushed, it
- 5:24Speaker 1: just peaked it up more, you know, especially for those
- 5:26Speaker 1: people that were curious about it. You know, one thing,
- 5:29Speaker 1: one thing about me, I don't uh, I don't run
- 5:33Speaker 1: from my past. That don't hide from my past. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: feel like that you have to do. You have to
- 5:39Speaker 1: um grasp your past so that you can accept your future,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you know. And a part of my past that was
- 5:46Speaker 1: that's what I did. That was an adult entertainment field,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and I used to do our films um produce some
- 5:54Speaker 1: storry in them. They were kind of like what what
- 5:57Speaker 1: people are doing on only fans Now? However, you know,
- 6:00Speaker 1: it's just my website and I made money off of that.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Like I definitely that's the industry that would go to
- 6:05Speaker 1: the cars that were dealt to me at the time,
- 6:07Speaker 1: and that's the inditry that I was in. You know,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm not promoting it, but I mean it is what
- 6:13Speaker 1: it is. Well, think about this that I'm not even
- 6:15Speaker 1: being negative about it. You know, I know we all
- 6:18Speaker 1: go through different things in life and because like you said,
- 6:21Speaker 1: made money and we all we all grow. Because the
- 6:26Speaker 1: thing about it, the thing I appreciate the fact is
- 6:28Speaker 1: that you've been allowed to move on. Okay, it is
- 6:33Speaker 1: your pass, you know what I'm saying. That is what
- 6:36Speaker 1: to feel that social media allows us to do now
- 6:39Speaker 1: because if you didn't have social media, you basically have
- 6:41Speaker 1: trapped into that story that that's the story that they
- 6:44Speaker 1: thy can say you are, that's who you are. But
- 6:46Speaker 1: social media has allowed you to be able to say
- 6:49Speaker 1: that's that's my that's one of my resume. But look
- 6:51Speaker 1: at what I'm doing now, and look what I represent now.
- 6:54Speaker 1: And this is what I really wanted to bring you
- 6:56Speaker 1: on the show to talk about how because a lot
- 6:59Speaker 1: of people get frustrated they do make decisions, whether it's
- 7:02Speaker 1: a business decision or relationship decision or lifestyle decision, and
- 7:07Speaker 1: then they feel they can't they can't climb out of
- 7:10Speaker 1: that rut. And on my show, I tried to bring
- 7:13Speaker 1: on individuals that can share some nuggets to say, yes,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I did this, openly confessed I do that. But you
- 7:21Speaker 1: used the new age of branding now that allows you
- 7:24Speaker 1: to have a voice, that allows you to call your
- 7:27Speaker 1: press conference anytime you feel like yeahs you know, and
- 7:33Speaker 1: and much to figgureback off what you're saying, like, I've
- 7:36Speaker 1: embracing my past, and my personality has always been you know,
- 7:39Speaker 1: over the top and you know, bigger than life. I've
- 7:42Speaker 1: been very opinionated, and I got into you know, social
- 7:46Speaker 1: commentary and and and and blogging and YouTube and Instagram,
- 7:51Speaker 1: you know, all these safest where I was able to
- 7:53Speaker 1: let my opinion start to make me make money for me,
- 7:57Speaker 1: make a living for me. And I once again I
- 8:00Speaker 1: took the tools that I learned in a prior life
- 8:03Speaker 1: and applied them to this one and and was able
- 8:06Speaker 1: to package up and and you know, resell myself as
- 8:09Speaker 1: a social media influencer. Um, half million. You are not
- 8:14Speaker 1: not kind of sell yourself half million Instagram followers and more.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You're doing your thing, my friend. You're doing your time,
- 8:22Speaker 1: my friend. But let's let's talk about you as a
- 8:24Speaker 1: as a brand. Let's talk about the Queen Supreme Court.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Did that idea come about? It's available on podcasts. Well,
- 8:32Speaker 1: the Queen Supreme Court was originally the Queen's Court. It
- 8:35Speaker 1: was something that my former co host uh and myself
- 8:38Speaker 1: used to do together. Um, and even though she and
- 8:41Speaker 1: I parted ways, I continue to, uh, you know, re
- 8:45Speaker 1: revamp and rebrand the show into you know, a social
- 8:48Speaker 1: commentary show. And uh, it's become very influential in popular car.
- 8:53Speaker 1: It was always influential, influential in popular culture, but it
- 8:56Speaker 1: became you know, a different staple and popular culture where
- 9:00Speaker 1: or you know, most celebrities coming. They we we we
- 9:02Speaker 1: talked about the things that are going on in the world,
- 9:04Speaker 1: like current events and stuff. And you know, I shall
- 9:07Speaker 1: sponsorship packages for the show. UM. My fans are always
- 9:12Speaker 1: you know, supporting me or whatever. But the most the
- 9:14Speaker 1: biggest thing about it is I'm able to sell sponsorship
- 9:17Speaker 1: packages to money, making conversation money. I love talking to you.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I love talking to you. It was about It's about,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you know, being able to market yourself and realize their money,
- 9:30Speaker 1: real financial opportunities that are out there. But you have
- 9:33Speaker 1: to be consistent about it. You have to be passionate
- 9:35Speaker 1: about it, and you have to have a plan. And
- 9:37Speaker 1: that's what you have. You have a plan and you're consistent.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And like you said, I'm over the top, but that's
- 9:43Speaker 1: part of the brand. If you told me it was like, okay,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I wouldn't know about you. You wouldn't have five hundred
- 9:48Speaker 1: thousand followers. But it's not as disruptive. It's not a
- 9:51Speaker 1: disruptive or rude over the top. It's as a branding
- 9:54Speaker 1: that's entertaining, is funny, and that's what we're talking about here,
- 9:59Speaker 1: fun quality entertainment, information that makes you smile. Yes, Yes,
- 10:06Speaker 1: I love you, Yes, I don't get together to this
- 10:10Speaker 1: pandemic dot down. They won't. You know, let's transition over there.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Let's transition over there. Because of the fact that we
- 10:16Speaker 1: know the community, African American community. We're also gonna talk
- 10:19Speaker 1: about the HIV community. It's being just tearing up black
- 10:23Speaker 1: people is impacting that your community as well, Let's talk
- 10:27Speaker 1: about that because of the fact that we have UH,
- 10:30Speaker 1: we have a situation where now they're starting to wear
- 10:34Speaker 1: they wear masks. And what role are you playing as
- 10:36Speaker 1: far as trying to guide the proper information in your community? Well,
- 10:42Speaker 1: in my community, you know, it's very important that we
- 10:46Speaker 1: cover um HIV and aid US, the HIV and AIDS
- 10:50Speaker 1: and things of that nature. You know, I'm always talking
- 10:53Speaker 1: about UH prep UH PREP is UH. This is a
- 10:58Speaker 1: drug that's administered the people who are who are sexually
- 11:01Speaker 1: active that can prevent them from UM even becoming intersected
- 11:06Speaker 1: with the HV or AIDS virus and if. And I
- 11:08Speaker 1: also make sure that I've encouraged people in my community
- 11:11Speaker 1: that might have been that might be affected by it
- 11:14Speaker 1: to you know, continue to take their their medications, you know,
- 11:18Speaker 1: so that they can remain to have an undetectable um
- 11:23Speaker 1: UH status. And I'm no different with the situation with
- 11:28Speaker 1: the COVID nineteen, Like I'm afraid like this, this this virus,
- 11:32Speaker 1: you know, popped up out of nowhere. I really believe
- 11:34Speaker 1: that it was already here and then I think we
- 11:37Speaker 1: all have been affected by maybe back some time last
- 11:40Speaker 1: year and either UH December November November December time frame.
- 11:46Speaker 1: This this virus is over here. It was just our
- 11:50Speaker 1: our leaders as we are. I just want to use
- 11:52Speaker 1: the word leaders chose not chose to ignore it because
- 11:56Speaker 1: it would have impacted the stock market. And so now
- 12:00Speaker 1: we have a you know, when I when I look
- 12:01Speaker 1: at it, you know, this is a national broadcast. And
- 12:03Speaker 1: just let everybody know. When the April came out in
- 12:05Speaker 1: the CDC announced that, you know, eight out of tend
- 12:09Speaker 1: COVID nineteen UH patients were African American or black. That
- 12:14Speaker 1: was a frightening number. And then when the when the
- 12:16Speaker 1: State of Georgia decided to reopen, and that's when it reopened,
- 12:20Speaker 1: knowing that information meant that they had no plan for
- 12:24Speaker 1: that's they had no plan for White America. The or
- 12:27Speaker 1: reopened prop properly and they didn't care how it affected
- 12:30Speaker 1: the Hispanic community, the black community, any community of color.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And so that really really that's what I'm saying. Your
- 12:38Speaker 1: role in my role, my role as well as as
- 12:40Speaker 1: it means to be at front I I do a
- 12:43Speaker 1: lot of interviews on UH general market stations, and I
- 12:46Speaker 1: try to be honest about this whole situation because of
- 12:49Speaker 1: the fact that you gotta mask up, you gotta wash
- 12:51Speaker 1: your hands. Is this you know? This is now because
- 12:55Speaker 1: now we're sending young people out there. Thought they were immortal.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Now they're being affective and you have the social distance
- 13:02Speaker 1: you have to do that. You know, it's imperative. And
- 13:05Speaker 1: when I see people even in my camp, being reckless
- 13:09Speaker 1: and party partying and and and not and not taking
- 13:13Speaker 1: this pandemic serious, I'm like, hey, are you not looking
- 13:16Speaker 1: at the numbers? Is this stuff? Like like, people are
- 13:18Speaker 1: really dying from this, from this situation. People are dying,
- 13:23Speaker 1: And like, how are you How are you not paying
- 13:26Speaker 1: this stuff in your attention or how are you not
- 13:28Speaker 1: following the rules of the godlines of it? You know,
- 13:30Speaker 1: I've been in quarantine. The only place I've been as
- 13:33Speaker 1: the grocery store at home. That's it. You know, you
- 13:38Speaker 1: and I could be dating because that's what I do too, Okay,
- 13:41Speaker 1: because I don't really I go to you know, it
- 13:43Speaker 1: always amazes me t s when I go on the
- 13:45Speaker 1: grocery store. I um, I I see people no mass,
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm going like, okay, did you not get the memo.
- 13:53Speaker 1: And then I've seen these videos of people white people
- 13:56Speaker 1: angry when they've been told mask, trying to I can
- 14:00Speaker 1: bully they weigh in the mall mark, I saw some
- 14:02Speaker 1: videos where this lady took all her food out of
- 14:04Speaker 1: her grocery bass and just threw it on the floor.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Some people throw food at people. Hey, hey, they they
- 14:12Speaker 1: will give you a mask to wear. But this is
- 14:16Speaker 1: the problem is they don't want to be told what
- 14:18Speaker 1: to do and and and right now they're feeling like
- 14:20Speaker 1: that the mask and the social distancing and the quarantine
- 14:24Speaker 1: is some conspiracy theory um for the government to control people.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And I'm like, do you not see that this stuff?
- 14:32Speaker 1: Like people are really sick and dying out here? Like
- 14:35Speaker 1: I do feel like that they're there are small pieces
- 14:38Speaker 1: of of this pandemic that is a little bit you know,
- 14:41Speaker 1: hyped up, just just a bit. But I do believe
- 14:44Speaker 1: that this is really going on because one, um, it
- 14:48Speaker 1: did affect business for everyone, like we're working from home.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Everybody's working from home now, and and and for entertainers
- 14:55Speaker 1: like myself who traveled my because I traveled my show
- 14:58Speaker 1: as well, I lost gig, I lost appearances, you know,
- 15:02Speaker 1: I was not able to you know, show up and
- 15:04Speaker 1: meeting greet with my fans. And you know, I lost
- 15:07Speaker 1: lots of money from speaking engagement and everything goes. I
- 15:11Speaker 1: still had to know how to survive, you know, during
- 15:14Speaker 1: this pandemic, and a lot of people we're trying to
- 15:17Speaker 1: find a way to survive during the during the pandemic.
- 15:20Speaker 1: This is why some of them, as I was saying earlier,
- 15:23Speaker 1: you know, touched into the the only fans that you wish,
- 15:26Speaker 1: because that was the quickest way that they could make
- 15:28Speaker 1: some money. You know from what you know what what's
- 15:31Speaker 1: What's one of those Rody Hull quote. You've got to
- 15:33Speaker 1: use what you've got to get what you need. It's
- 15:35Speaker 1: finally here the season of celebration, and no matter how
- 15:39Speaker 1: you celebrate with family and friends, whether you're preparing for

- 17:40Speaker 1: seventeen deals deep, come out of Florida. You know, she's
- 17:42Speaker 1: kind of like moved a little bit now, she moved
- 17:45Speaker 1: more actually, but she still realized she was stealing the South.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's what she said. Okay, we we we jumped in
- 17:51Speaker 1: a little bit about the Queen Supreme Court. Now, how
- 17:53Speaker 1: do you get your guests like I see Tam Tamar Braxton,
- 17:56Speaker 1: who's crazy anyway, lonell the original gangster comedy female wise. Okay,
- 18:03Speaker 1: now you're getting me jealous now, because see I I
- 18:06Speaker 1: was able to get me Lou New but I I
- 18:07Speaker 1: definitely not have no Nicki Minaj and no Tamar practice.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So you're out there balling with these guests my friends. No,
- 18:14Speaker 1: I've been on Nicki Minaj's show. Nicki Minaj was very
- 18:17Speaker 1: much interested in UM, you know, producing the first phase
- 18:20Speaker 1: of the show, and she and I continue to be
- 18:23Speaker 1: friends after that. UM didn't work out, but you know,
- 18:26Speaker 1: she and my girlfriend. I've had Candy Burst on the show.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Keep keep bragging. Okay, Oh my god, char from American medicine.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Doctor heavily from American medicine. I've had a lot of
- 18:39Speaker 1: social media influencers. Uh, oh my god. Flame Monroe, my
- 18:45Speaker 1: girl Flame role has been on the show. Uh. So
- 18:48Speaker 1: many different guests come in and out of there. And
- 18:51Speaker 1: I really like to rotate the chair because you know,
- 18:53Speaker 1: when you're doing social commentary, I don't want to sit
- 18:56Speaker 1: there and and run the show on my own because
- 18:59Speaker 1: I don't want my opinions on my uh views or
- 19:05Speaker 1: something to to seem like it's it's the law. I
- 19:08Speaker 1: like to to discuss and banter and throw the joke
- 19:11Speaker 1: a two out of your I tell you about you
- 19:14Speaker 1: can't be told by no jokes until I heard you
- 19:16Speaker 1: tell you because you know, I'm one of the top comedians. Now,
- 19:20Speaker 1: I got love for you now, but you can't just
- 19:22Speaker 1: come on my show and say you're a comedian with
- 19:24Speaker 1: I mean not branding you right now once I see
- 19:27Speaker 1: you'm gonna bringing back on the show, go this girl
- 19:30Speaker 1: funny right here. Funny. Now I can use words like hilarious,
- 19:35Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, all that kind of stuff,
- 19:37Speaker 1: because you could be hilarious to not be a standard
- 19:39Speaker 1: comedian because you're actress and all that good stuff. So
- 19:42Speaker 1: let's talk about let's talk about where do you get
- 19:44Speaker 1: your celebrity gossip from on the on your show The
- 19:48Speaker 1: Queen's Supreme Court. What do you get your celebrity gossip from? Um? Well,
- 19:53Speaker 1: I mean I pulled from a different set of places
- 19:56Speaker 1: like um, you know, and sometimes it comes just you know,
- 19:59Speaker 1: now show from watching watching watching watching television shows or whatever.
- 20:04Speaker 1: But I get a lot of my gossip from a
- 20:05Speaker 1: lot of the blog sites or whatever. But see the
- 20:07Speaker 1: difference with me is the blog sites might report on
- 20:10Speaker 1: the star. I will bring the star to me and
- 20:13Speaker 1: going with them. I like that. I like that. Now. Now, now,
- 20:18Speaker 1: when when one comes to your show, I've hollered out
- 20:21Speaker 1: and screamed out some things on the show, But what
- 20:24Speaker 1: is what it's really the goal of your show? Is
- 20:26Speaker 1: it is it to educate people about your brand. It's
- 20:29Speaker 1: about about entertaining. It's an entertainment package that you put together.
- 20:33Speaker 1: You feel blessed to be able to present that on
- 20:35Speaker 1: a global because it's a global when you when you're
- 20:37Speaker 1: doing podcasts and social media, global night. This is people
- 20:40Speaker 1: in China watching your stuff. People in understand you're watching
- 20:44Speaker 1: your stuff, so your your global brand. I'm not gonna
- 20:47Speaker 1: short that shot you on that, okay, Well, I mean
- 20:51Speaker 1: the goal of my show just to make people laugh,
- 20:54Speaker 1: you know, We'll laugh at the parts that are to
- 20:56Speaker 1: be funny and educate them on the parts that they
- 20:59Speaker 1: need to be educated on, and to clear up some
- 21:01Speaker 1: of the myths and shade you know that might be
- 21:04Speaker 1: out in the streets because you know, we are we
- 21:06Speaker 1: are a part of the urban uh, the urban community,
- 21:09Speaker 1: you know, and there are times that people there, a
- 21:13Speaker 1: celebrity might have some bad information or a bad story
- 21:17Speaker 1: about them that they might want to come to my
- 21:18Speaker 1: show and they might want to clear up. So you know,
- 21:20Speaker 1: we well, this is this is the place that you
- 21:22Speaker 1: can do it, especially with their fans can tune in
- 21:24Speaker 1: and see them, you know, hash out some some bad
- 21:27Speaker 1: rumor that might have been spread about, you know, but
- 21:30Speaker 1: but my show is just all all around. I want
- 21:32Speaker 1: to make sure that my show is it's entertaining, it's informative,
- 21:36Speaker 1: and and it makes money. I just want to make
- 21:38Speaker 1: sure that love right there. See that's what I've been
- 21:42Speaker 1: trying to get people on the show. I would talk
- 21:44Speaker 1: about money. See we on the same page about the
- 21:47Speaker 1: money conversation here. Now here's the here's the philanthropic, the
- 21:52Speaker 1: giving side that I want to make sure people know
- 21:54Speaker 1: about you. In the midst of the pandemic crisis, TS
- 21:58Speaker 1: has surprised families, ends and others with groceries and donations
- 22:02Speaker 1: to help them through these challenging tisks. Now why, you know,
- 22:07Speaker 1: I'm just saying why because guess what, how much? Just
- 22:09Speaker 1: throw it out like that? Why t Why is that important? Well,
- 22:14Speaker 1: it's important to me because everybody may not know how
- 22:17Speaker 1: to slip a dollar there in a hard time. And
- 22:20Speaker 1: and there are some people that that have relied on
- 22:22Speaker 1: their jobs and and and what they know, like they
- 22:25Speaker 1: know how to get up and go to work every
- 22:27Speaker 1: day from nine to five. And this has been taken
- 22:30Speaker 1: away from a lot of people. So you know, this
- 22:32Speaker 1: is this is one of the luxuries that I have.
- 22:35Speaker 1: It's been a social media influencer and an ambassador for
- 22:38Speaker 1: brands and and things like that, and having my show
- 22:41Speaker 1: that I still am able to make money during this
- 22:43Speaker 1: during these times, So why not being why not help
- 22:46Speaker 1: somebody or help a family out that that you know
- 22:49Speaker 1: have lost those privileges. You know, you know it really
- 22:53Speaker 1: is important. I you know, I I find myself because
- 22:57Speaker 1: you know, I blessed. I can. I haven't been able
- 23:02Speaker 1: to lay off my staff during the pandemic. They've received
- 23:05Speaker 1: their pay and I believe in the function and not
- 23:09Speaker 1: that the Lord knows. I'm not making any money, but
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'm also planning to make money. And that's how all
- 23:14Speaker 1: part about money making conversation is. And I want to
- 23:16Speaker 1: ask you about your your character. There was there was
- 23:19Speaker 1: a question in your and your they don't want to
- 23:21Speaker 1: bring up when asked about your Lodger than life passan.
- 23:24Speaker 1: This is your saying, it's Maddie. I I know you're
- 23:28Speaker 1: not calling you Maddie. You know, just transition that that
- 23:32Speaker 1: just threw that out there, you and all right with me.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You said, I've always had a big personality, but the
- 23:41Speaker 1: more I've become I became comfortable with myself and feeling
- 23:45Speaker 1: okay with whatever choices I make in life, not being apologetic,
- 23:49Speaker 1: the true me was able to be released. The reason
- 23:53Speaker 1: I read that out is that that happens to a
- 23:56Speaker 1: lot of people. That's that's that's a statement that anybody
- 23:58Speaker 1: can say, the struggle with identity, struggling with the path
- 24:02Speaker 1: they want to follow in life. And I want you
- 24:05Speaker 1: to just comment on that, because that's why I always
- 24:08Speaker 1: try to be in preple with shows. You know something,
- 24:10Speaker 1: just because you're a different color, just because you make
- 24:12Speaker 1: where a different uh, you have a different lifestyle approach.
- 24:16Speaker 1: We all think, we all experienced the same desires to
- 24:19Speaker 1: be successful, we all play taxes, we all want to
- 24:22Speaker 1: live a healthy life. We all want to be loved.
- 24:25Speaker 1: And that's all that statement is saying. Right there, it's
- 24:27Speaker 1: a relatable statement. Just just open your blindness to realize
- 24:30Speaker 1: that she's relatable, she's understandable, and she's passionate, and she
- 24:35Speaker 1: cares now to talk about that uh, that whole lodger
- 24:38Speaker 1: than life possana and accepting yourself and not being you know,
- 24:42Speaker 1: worried about what people thought about you. Wait, okay, so
- 24:47Speaker 1: let me come back and okay, Okay, that was a
- 24:51Speaker 1: good one. That was a good girl. That was good.
- 24:52Speaker 1: That was good. That's good. You slipped a good joke
- 24:57Speaker 1: on man. I like that. I like like, I like that.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I might want you now. Well, you know, the only
- 25:10Speaker 1: way to truly aspire in life is to embrace one's self,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you know. And I think a lot of times we
- 25:17Speaker 1: we even whether we're gay, straight, by trans, or whatever,
- 25:20Speaker 1: there's pieces of us that we might not want to grasp,
- 25:23Speaker 1: we may not want to accept that, you know, especially
- 25:26Speaker 1: with even even in even in our African American community,
- 25:30Speaker 1: where mental health is like a big, big thing that
- 25:32Speaker 1: that's not talked about. Like sometimes we have to accept
- 25:36Speaker 1: I might be a little by polar. I need to
- 25:38Speaker 1: accept that and embrace it. And I used that by
- 25:41Speaker 1: polar example because I get a lot of inspiration from
- 25:45Speaker 1: Jennifer Lewis, And you know, Jennifer Lewis came out on
- 25:48Speaker 1: Oprah and she was like, I'm by polar and I
- 25:51Speaker 1: have to, you know, medicate myself or whatever. And and
- 25:54Speaker 1: that really made me look at it, like I'm trans
- 25:57Speaker 1: and you know, I have to I'm bracing this stuff
- 26:01Speaker 1: or whatever, and this is not a crutch for me.
- 26:03Speaker 1: And this is not a hinderance in my life for
- 26:06Speaker 1: me moving on into you know, achieving the goals that
- 26:09Speaker 1: I want to achieve in my life. And when I
- 26:11Speaker 1: started Jennifer Lewis do that, I was like, wow, you know,
- 26:14Speaker 1: this is this This just brings that statement that I
- 26:17Speaker 1: that I made there, It brings it all full circle.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Like everybody has to embrace an extempt that part of
- 26:25Speaker 1: them selves fully so that they can be the most
- 26:29Speaker 1: magnificent self that they can be, so that they can
- 26:32Speaker 1: really really embrace themselves and be successful in their life.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Because that's the only way that you're really going to
- 26:40Speaker 1: be successful successful in life is by fully and purely
- 26:44Speaker 1: embracing yourself, embracing your flaws and all embracing your past,
- 26:48Speaker 1: embracing this, embracing the things that come to you, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: just knowing how to to to propel yourself forwards and
- 26:58Speaker 1: and all that you do. You know, it's really interesting
- 27:01Speaker 1: as we talk and our interview Jennifer Lewis, and you
- 27:05Speaker 1: know that book is a great read's a very sexual
- 27:09Speaker 1: book because she's very sexually active. Uhllywood. Okay, Now, if
- 27:17Speaker 1: you if you if you if you're worried about reading
- 27:20Speaker 1: about something. Don't don't read that book. It's not okay,
- 27:25Speaker 1: she's just young point. But it's about the bipolar, about
- 27:27Speaker 1: accepting mental health and all these things. Because within the
- 27:31Speaker 1: black community, because you said that, the black community, you know,
- 27:33Speaker 1: we kind of like kick things to the curve that
- 27:36Speaker 1: we really should be talking about weight, uh, high cholesterol,
- 27:40Speaker 1: high blood pressure, which which is an impact and of
- 27:43Speaker 1: our help. When it comes to COVID nineteen. It's same
- 27:45Speaker 1: thing to that team comming, I gotta I gotta wrap
- 27:47Speaker 1: everybody into it because it's not just us, anybody who
- 27:50Speaker 1: was eating wrong and living wrong and and have and
- 27:53Speaker 1: then and winked, winked when it came to the situation
- 27:56Speaker 1: that you know, we should be taken care of. We
- 27:59Speaker 1: have to start realizing that we have to change as
- 28:02Speaker 1: were trying to tear down these Confederate statutes and take
- 28:05Speaker 1: these flags out of Mississippi. We gotta start eating right,
- 28:07Speaker 1: we gotta start living right. We gotta start admitting that
- 28:10Speaker 1: we are not especially men, especially black men, we tend
- 28:13Speaker 1: to want to be like you know, we can want
- 28:15Speaker 1: through a brick row, not if it's really brick. Now
- 28:18Speaker 1: you need to realize and so and so. But the
- 28:21Speaker 1: Black community is always uh shunned uh the truth, and
- 28:25Speaker 1: especially in the community that you are part of. You know,
- 28:31Speaker 1: let's let's let's step back a little bit, you know,
- 28:32Speaker 1: and Ellen de Generous, you know, made her announcement, has
- 28:36Speaker 1: been so successful on TV, has allowed a lot of
- 28:39Speaker 1: truths to be spoken and to be accepted. Now, who
- 28:43Speaker 1: are other great leaders out there? Because she gets the
- 28:46Speaker 1: most fanfare, what other great leaders that we should be
- 28:48Speaker 1: recognizing that have been uh besides RuPaul had to have
- 28:52Speaker 1: to put him out there as well, RuPaul Um, Ellen
- 28:57Speaker 1: de Generous, I mean people, well, I mean, for me,
- 29:01Speaker 1: there's some there's some people that we were not I'm
- 29:04Speaker 1: not gonna say suspect, but that we know. It's that's
- 29:07Speaker 1: a part of the community that's really not vocal about it,
- 29:11Speaker 1: which I really wish, which which I really wish they
- 29:13Speaker 1: would be because it would help more people who are
- 29:17Speaker 1: struggling with themselves to be the greatest self that they
- 29:20Speaker 1: could be. I really wish they would speak out. But
- 29:22Speaker 1: you know, there's there's Billy porter Um from posts Um,
- 29:27Speaker 1: There's Leverne cock Uh, there's Angelical Ross. You know, there's uh,
- 29:33Speaker 1: there's Hopes, there there's so many different people that are
- 29:36Speaker 1: that are leaders in our community, you know, that have
- 29:39Speaker 1: embracement stems fully. And you know, here's the thing with
- 29:42Speaker 1: me with with with black people that I want black
- 29:46Speaker 1: people to know as a black trans woman, I need
- 29:49Speaker 1: black people to understand that I'm black first, baby, and
- 29:52Speaker 1: I'm skill black. No matter what other umbrella or whatever
- 29:58Speaker 1: um identity that I have, I'm Black first and and yes,
- 30:07Speaker 1: and I try to do so much for my community,
- 30:09Speaker 1: for my own community because I'm black and train and
- 30:14Speaker 1: it runs, it runs in an intersection, it's intersectional. So
- 30:18Speaker 1: you know, I just really really wish that our black
- 30:22Speaker 1: brothers and sisters would really embrace us just a little
- 30:24Speaker 1: bit more and not meet this with lots of resistance
- 30:27Speaker 1: because it's something that they may not understand. This is
- 30:29Speaker 1: why I have to applaud you, um, you know for
- 30:32Speaker 1: even allowing me to come on your platform and and
- 30:34Speaker 1: just talk a little bit about you know, my business
- 30:37Speaker 1: and my my show and things just going on, because
- 30:39Speaker 1: lots of times they're there are black people who you know,
- 30:43Speaker 1: are afraid of you know, communicating or or or even
- 30:47Speaker 1: getting knowledge about something that that they may may make
- 30:51Speaker 1: them feel uncomfortable. But we have to know that we're
- 30:53Speaker 1: all the people at the same time. You know, I
- 30:56Speaker 1: got to bring up Laverne cox Um. She does she's
- 31:01Speaker 1: doing that. She's transgender, right yeahs and she has an
- 31:06Speaker 1: amazing spurt off commercial right now. She doesn't been on.
- 31:09Speaker 1: She doesn't been on a bunch of stuff like listen,
- 31:12Speaker 1: Laverne Lavernes, she's she's champion a lot of things for
- 31:16Speaker 1: black trans women and her and Janet my Janet mind
- 31:21Speaker 1: she's they've championed things for you know, uh, trans women.
- 31:26Speaker 1: It's just trans women of color. So you know, I
- 31:28Speaker 1: love them for the things that they do, and you know,
- 31:32Speaker 1: their existence is so important because not only did it
- 31:36Speaker 1: when when they champion things for for for trans women
- 31:40Speaker 1: and people in the LBGT black people. Let me emphasize
- 31:44Speaker 1: this black people, black and brown people of the LBGT community.
- 31:49Speaker 1: It also opens doors for other minorities in the world,
- 31:53Speaker 1: black people as a whole. There you go, that's what
- 31:55Speaker 1: I need to hear from you. That's what I need
- 31:57Speaker 1: to hear from Oh. You know, I am a fan
- 32:00Speaker 1: as Madison, as I like to call matte Us to
- 32:03Speaker 1: hold a very popular the Queen's Supreme Court. You know,

- 32:16Speaker 1: you need me. And as soon as this covid and
- 32:18Speaker 1: Nineteam died out, we're gonna share hamburger, you know, a
- 32:21Speaker 1: hot dog. We're gonna share some food. I'm a big,
- 32:24Speaker 1: big foodie, so I love the serch. Just letting you
- 32:26Speaker 1: know when I throw down, I throw out with some
- 32:29Speaker 1: grub on a regular basis. I'm keep supporting you, I
