- 2:16Speaker 1: Harvey got radio show. Okay, sure be honest with y'all.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Was rushing rushing this morning. So but that's what it takes.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Sometimes sometimes you have to put forth a different kind
- 2:35Speaker 1: of effort, you know. One of the things about being successful.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And I was sharing this just the other day with
- 2:43Speaker 1: a young man and he asked me. He said, hey, man,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I just don't see how you get up that early
- 2:53Speaker 1: in the morning. I just don't see how man. It
- 2:57Speaker 1: would it would kill me to get up this early
- 3:00Speaker 1: on it while I sat down and I'm listening to
- 3:02Speaker 1: it because it's just a thousand times I've heard it,
- 3:05Speaker 1: you know, and my life is, you know, not too
- 3:08Speaker 1: different from a lot of people's lives. There's a lot
- 3:11Speaker 1: of people out there a rise early, and I guess
- 3:14Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what he wanted from
- 3:16Speaker 1: me or how he wanted me to take what he said.
- 3:18Speaker 1: But I just sat there, you know, just indifferent to
- 3:21Speaker 1: the tones because I've heard it so many times. I
- 3:22Speaker 1: don't know how you get up that early anymore. I
- 3:24Speaker 1: don't know how you do all them jobs. And I
- 3:27Speaker 1: just sit there, man, because I reb first of all,
- 3:29Speaker 1: I'm grateful to be able to have a job. I'm
- 3:32Speaker 1: so grateful to be able to do one and several
- 3:35Speaker 1: that I happened to enjoy doing. I mean, you know,
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's work, and it's difficult at times, but it's I mean,
- 3:41Speaker 1: you know, I wanted this, you know, you gotta you know,
- 3:44Speaker 1: you can't ask God for not then he give it
- 3:46Speaker 1: to you. Didn't be mad that you got it. Don't
- 3:48Speaker 1: make no sense. You know you're asking for something, me
- 3:51Speaker 1: give it to you. The problem with asking God for
- 3:53Speaker 1: stuff is a lot of times we're asking for stuff
- 3:56Speaker 1: we don't really know what all it encompasses, what all
- 3:58Speaker 1: it really is. And I have for this now along
- 4:02Speaker 1: the way, I've gotten far more than I asked for.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I want you to do. Understand that, and um, you
- 4:08Speaker 1: know that's that's his grace at work in my life.
- 4:11Speaker 1: But I get up early and I go to work
- 4:13Speaker 1: because I do understand something that it is not walking
- 4:17Speaker 1: up to you. Nobody walks up to people normally and
- 4:21Speaker 1: just hand them checks all the time, and enough checks
- 4:24Speaker 1: to sustain your life, and not only sustain it, but
- 4:28Speaker 1: to have a life that where you could enjoy and
- 4:30Speaker 1: do some of the things you want to do. That's
- 4:33Speaker 1: I don't know the person that walks out hands out
- 4:35Speaker 1: that money just to be doing it. And then with
- 4:38Speaker 1: a lifestyle though where you can, you know, give your
- 4:42Speaker 1: kids a Christmas, you know, take your family on vacation,
- 4:45Speaker 1: you know a year once a year. I don't know.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Nobody passed not to kind of money. So I get
- 4:49Speaker 1: up early in the morning. I get at it. I
- 4:52Speaker 1: was taught to get up early in the morning by
- 4:54Speaker 1: my father because my father says, ain't none gonna come
- 4:59Speaker 1: to you while you lay in now. And you know what,
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's just true, man, it's just a little common sense. Look,
- 5:05Speaker 1: old people smart man, they've been around long time. You
- 5:08Speaker 1: don't get you know, some old foods out there, but
- 5:10Speaker 1: you know you don't have to deal with them. But
- 5:12Speaker 1: the old people are pretty smart man. They've learned a
- 5:14Speaker 1: lot along the way. And waking up early and getting
- 5:17Speaker 1: out of it is one of them things. And I
- 5:18Speaker 1: ask everybody man to think about this scenario of your life.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I just want you to just I want to show
- 5:23Speaker 1: you some numbers. If a day has twenty four hours
- 5:27Speaker 1: in it, and let's just say you choose to sleep
- 5:31Speaker 1: eight of those hours because they tell you you need
- 5:35Speaker 1: eight hours sleep, so you sleep eight hours, that's a
- 5:39Speaker 1: third of your life asleep. Already, just a third of
- 5:43Speaker 1: your life is spent asleep. If you're gonna do eight
- 5:46Speaker 1: hours a day, you understand that a third of your
- 5:50Speaker 1: life is spent asleep. Now, let's say you have a
- 5:54Speaker 1: job that you work eight hours, and it's not the
- 5:57Speaker 1: job of your dreams, it's not your dream career you
- 5:59Speaker 1: dream in profession, it's just the one you took, like
- 6:02Speaker 1: all of us, to get it started. And then, like
- 6:05Speaker 1: all of us, some of us end up having the
- 6:07Speaker 1: state that because we've created these bills, and we can't
- 6:10Speaker 1: because we check the check. So we can't leave it
- 6:12Speaker 1: because we'll lose what what we've worked for. So let's
- 6:16Speaker 1: just say you got a job that you go to
- 6:18Speaker 1: work too for eight hours. That's another third of your life.
- 6:23Speaker 1: That's two thirds of your life spent doing something. How
- 6:30Speaker 1: do I put this to you? Oh, let's all right,
- 6:34Speaker 1: light Steve. Just leave it that. That's two thirds of
- 6:36Speaker 1: your life. Feel how you want to feel about your
- 6:39Speaker 1: two thirds when I like sleep? Okay, cool, that's a
- 6:41Speaker 1: scripture about that too. But now you spent two thirds
- 6:44Speaker 1: of your life one on a job you don't care
- 6:46Speaker 1: for if you're not happy there, or one that just
- 6:48Speaker 1: pays the bills and it's not your dream job of career.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Another third of your life is sleep. Oh now, let's
- 6:53Speaker 1: hold on. Let's talk about the one hour of preparation
- 6:57Speaker 1: that it may take to get to the job. Let's
- 6:59Speaker 1: just say you wake up, you know, brush your teeth, shower,
- 7:03Speaker 1: or have a little breakfast, get dressed. Let's just say
- 7:05Speaker 1: that's an hour. So now we're talking sixteen hours, eight
- 7:09Speaker 1: hours sleep, eight hours on your job, that's sixteen hours.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You got already time one hour, that's seventeen hours. Let's
- 7:18Speaker 1: say your drive time, let's say getting to your job
- 7:21Speaker 1: for the average person, is anywhere between thirty two an hour.
- 7:25Speaker 1: That's an average of what it takes the average person.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Now some people out there hustling the way harder than that,
- 7:30Speaker 1: but let's just say your average is an hour getting
- 7:33Speaker 1: to work. You had another hour to that going to work.
- 7:37Speaker 1: You've now spent eighteen hours out of the twenty four
- 7:42Speaker 1: doing something that's either nonproductive, you're not happy with, you're
- 7:49Speaker 1: not pleased about. It is not your dream job, it's
- 7:51Speaker 1: not your dream profession. And the rest of the time
- 7:53Speaker 1: you sleep. Eighteen hours that's going to work. Now you
- 7:57Speaker 1: gotta come from the job, so let's just say it's
- 7:59Speaker 1: an of the hour to get back home. That's nineteen hours.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Nineteen hours out of a twenty four hour day. A
- 8:04Speaker 1: third of it you've been asleep. A third of it.
- 8:06Speaker 1: You've been on the job that you're not happy with.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You took an hour to get ready to go to
- 8:10Speaker 1: the job that you're not happy with. That you've just
- 8:12Speaker 1: been a third of your life sleeping to get ready
- 8:14Speaker 1: for you spend an hour getting there, and you spend
- 8:16Speaker 1: an hour getting back. That's nineteen hours out of twenty
- 8:19Speaker 1: four hours. You now have five hours left in your day.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Oh you watch TV two times, two hours a day. Okay,
- 8:26Speaker 1: excuse me. Let's put now you put two hours of
- 8:29Speaker 1: TV on that you've just been twenty one. You now
- 8:31Speaker 1: have three hours in the day to do something super
- 8:37Speaker 1: productive for the development of yourself and the future of
- 8:41Speaker 1: your family, and your future as a person and what
- 8:44Speaker 1: you can provide for your family. Oh, I need to chill,
- 8:51Speaker 1: I need to smoke one. Oh I needed some time
- 8:55Speaker 1: it Happy hour seemed like all I do is dry
- 8:58Speaker 1: to work and go to work. I'm gonna go out
- 9:00Speaker 1: with the fellas drink one. Okay, let's say you spend
- 9:05Speaker 1: two hours at Happy I have nobody go to a
- 9:07Speaker 1: Happy Hour just for a hour. Let's say he's been
- 9:09Speaker 1: two hours at happy all smoking awesome video games and
- 9:13Speaker 1: throw that in there. Two hours of smoking, chilling, reading
- 9:16Speaker 1: the paper, video games. That's twenty three hours of your
- 9:19Speaker 1: day going. Don't you see how your day slips away
- 9:22Speaker 1: from you? So why would you get up early? You
- 9:26Speaker 1: get up early to get a jump, You get up
- 9:29Speaker 1: early to produce to plan to become productive. You get
- 9:34Speaker 1: up early in the morning to care about every single
- 9:37Speaker 1: minute of your day. You wake up early in the
- 9:40Speaker 1: morning because you have a plan, a mission, You have
- 9:44Speaker 1: something you want to accomplish. So you wake up early,
- 9:46Speaker 1: and you as the earlier you get up, the more
- 9:49Speaker 1: time you have just for you to devote to your plan.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You map it out, you make some sense, some emails,
- 9:56Speaker 1: you do some Google searches, whatever it is you need
- 9:58Speaker 1: to do to get your dream underway. Then you go
- 10:02Speaker 1: get ready. Then you get in your car and go
- 10:05Speaker 1: to work. Then you go to your job. But on
- 10:07Speaker 1: your job, instead of sitting at your lunch break messing
- 10:10Speaker 1: around with a bunch of people laughing and talking about nothing,
- 10:13Speaker 1: playing dominoes, why don't you take that hour to do
- 10:15Speaker 1: some more research, to do some more Google it, to
- 10:18Speaker 1: send out some more emails, to put some feelers out there,
- 10:22Speaker 1: to see what can get you in the place that
- 10:24Speaker 1: you want to be. Then when you get off, instead
- 10:27Speaker 1: of driving straight home, why don't you go somewhere in
- 10:30Speaker 1: a meeting, you know, take in a session with some
- 10:33Speaker 1: people in a positive mental state. Some people are doing
- 10:35Speaker 1: you know, self help groups or group of people that
- 10:38Speaker 1: get together network for business. Why don't you take that
- 10:41Speaker 1: two hours and devote that to that business idea you got.
- 10:45Speaker 1: No human being has more than twenty four hours a day,
- 10:48Speaker 1: including myself, But if you care about every single minute
- 10:53Speaker 1: of that day, you'd be amazed at how much you
- 10:56Speaker 1: could get accomplished in a twenty four hour day. But
- 11:00Speaker 1: you can't get none of that happening because you sleep.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You're listening to the ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 11:10Speaker 1: people from all around the world. You are listening to
- 11:15Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show, which happens to be the
- 11:20Speaker 1: greatest music driven adult contemporary bar none radio show, including yours,
- 11:32Speaker 1: in the world. Yes, yes, that your game. Today's show
- 11:45Speaker 1: is dedicated to the relentless, wholehearted rescue worker man, all
- 11:53Speaker 1: the rescue workers out there that puts it on the
- 11:56Speaker 1: line to save people. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Uh.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's it's it's a it's a it's a tough time
- 12:04Speaker 1: out here now, man, people. Houston is trying to recover Jackson.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I mean, Florida's under the threat. Um, you know, it's
- 12:16Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's gonna be, it's gonna be. It's
- 12:19Speaker 1: still tough man. We gotta keep keep our hearts open
- 12:22Speaker 1: to people that are in need. So that's what we
- 12:26Speaker 1: wanna do. Want to dedicate this show to the rescue
- 12:28Speaker 1: workers out there. Let y'all know we're thinking about y'all
- 12:31Speaker 1: got you in your prayers. We're making donations with we're
- 12:35Speaker 1: helping the Red Cross spread the word. Uh, we're doing
- 12:39Speaker 1: our share over here what we can for those You
- 12:42Speaker 1: could do any little bit helps and just remember you
- 12:45Speaker 1: know what I mean. You know we gotta care. You
- 12:47Speaker 1: know it could be us, It very easily be us. See,
- 12:50Speaker 1: catastrophe is not just in the form of a hurricane.
- 12:54Speaker 1: It could come any kind of way. So you have
- 12:56Speaker 1: to remember when catastrophe strikes people's lives. Just because you're
- 13:00Speaker 1: not having a hurricane, well what would they do to me?
- 13:02Speaker 1: We don't have hurricanes up here, but something happens because
- 13:05Speaker 1: catastrophe is catastrophe, and trust and believe we're all gonna
- 13:09Speaker 1: have them in our life there. So doing to others
- 13:12Speaker 1: that you would have them do unto you, that's a
- 13:14Speaker 1: golden rule. Just do that, man, Now, don't flip it
- 13:20Speaker 1: like I've done in my life on shover occasion. What
- 13:23Speaker 1: do you mean I've actually flipped that script and my
- 13:26Speaker 1: MoMA had the backhead me one time. What were you doing?
- 13:30Speaker 1: She asked me? Why I was fighting up at the school?
- 13:33Speaker 1: Told I was fighting, she said, I have told you, boy,
- 13:38Speaker 1: to do unto others as you would have them do
- 13:41Speaker 1: unto you. That you don't want nobody fighting you, so
- 13:43Speaker 1: don't fight there, I said, But Mama, he was fighting me.
- 13:47Speaker 1: He hid me, so he must have wanted me to
- 13:51Speaker 1: hit him back. If you're saying do unto others, you'd
- 13:54Speaker 1: have had him doing it. He must have wanted I
- 13:57Speaker 1: had that logic, tay stuff. You knew, that's not what
- 14:03Speaker 1: that meant. You don't use to launch script just to
- 14:07Speaker 1: do your seen my moms Harvey, that's right, And back
- 14:13Speaker 1: then they could slap to take such a Yeah, my
- 14:19Speaker 1: mom's still doing it today. Well up, all right, we'll listen.
- 14:28Speaker 1: We're gonna go to a commercial break. Coming up. Coming up,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I have actually thanking work to do, work to do. Uh.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We have a lot to cover in the news, including
- 14:43Speaker 1: the latest on Hurricane Irma. Of course, we'll be back
- 14:46Speaker 1: at thirty two after you're listening to the Stry Morning Show.
- 14:51Speaker 1: All right, we have a lot to cover in today's news,
- 14:53Speaker 1: as I mentioned earlier, including the latest on Hurricane Irma.
- 14:58Speaker 1: We will never forget today what to day is. It
- 15:00Speaker 1: is the sixteenth anniversary of nine eleven. But first, it's
- 15:05Speaker 1: been a nervous weekend for Florida. Very natural, correct and
- 15:10Speaker 1: were on in Florida in a lot of markets in there.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Callers are p D keeps track of everything. So we're
- 15:20Speaker 1: on in quite a few markets down in Florida. Carla, Yes,
- 15:23Speaker 1: we are. We're on in Tampa, Steve the Bead in Tampa.
- 15:27Speaker 1: We are on in West Palm Beach for Myers. We
- 15:30Speaker 1: have a lot of listeners in Florida. And this is
- 15:32Speaker 1: a monster storm that hit the coast on Saturday night
- 15:38Speaker 1: and hit the Keys, and we saw the destruction that
- 15:41Speaker 1: happened in the Caribbean. I mean, my god, did you
- 15:44Speaker 1: see what happened to the Virgin Islands? And it's just devastating,
- 15:49Speaker 1: It is so devastating, this coming right off of Hurricane Harvey,
- 15:54Speaker 1: just you know, weeks later and we can't believe that
- 15:57Speaker 1: the country is dealing with us again. A lot of
- 15:59Speaker 1: this as folks, I was watching the Weather Channel just
- 16:03Speaker 1: uh a little while ago, and what had happened was
- 16:07Speaker 1: on yesterday, what they predicted was happening. A lot of
- 16:11Speaker 1: the shore water was pulled off of the Tampa area.
- 16:15Speaker 1: The shoreline dropped three and a half feet, which is
- 16:18Speaker 1: what they were was the worst case scenario they were
- 16:21Speaker 1: hoping for because that water has got to come back
- 16:23Speaker 1: now and because of the squirrel of Hurricane Irmy pull
- 16:28Speaker 1: the water back and it's got folks in a in
- 16:31Speaker 1: a in a flash flood watch from two pm on
- 16:35Speaker 1: Sunday all the way through and it's just been tough
- 16:38Speaker 1: man down there, man, so you know, and then after effects,
- 16:42Speaker 1: the lingering, after effects is what you have to watch
- 16:45Speaker 1: out for. Two Yeah, but in the flooding. But you
- 16:48Speaker 1: gotta be smart, folks. You can't take unnecessary chances just
- 16:54Speaker 1: because of some items and some property. Nobody wants to
- 16:59Speaker 1: lose their home. Nobody wants to lose all the things
- 17:01Speaker 1: they work for. We get it, but we can get
- 17:06Speaker 1: another couch, another car, as hard as it is. You
- 17:10Speaker 1: can get another home, but you can't get in a
- 17:13Speaker 1: life now. And I think to Steve, it's tough when
- 17:18Speaker 1: you're in a hurricane. You know, people don't want to
- 17:22Speaker 1: leave their homes. Like you said, they don't want to
- 17:24Speaker 1: go to the shelters, and they don't feel safe in shelters.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It's not some of the shelters they don't you know,
- 17:31Speaker 1: they don't want their kids around people they don't know.
- 17:34Speaker 1: So they think that they can take the weather into
- 17:36Speaker 1: their own hands and kind of ride it out. But
- 17:39Speaker 1: the thing about a shelter is not a resort. It's
- 17:41Speaker 1: just a place for you to go to save your life.
- 17:43Speaker 1: That's all I think for Once that storm passes, and
- 17:47Speaker 1: once those city leaders and community leaders tell you that
- 17:51Speaker 1: you are safe in your area, you can go back home.
- 17:55Speaker 1: That's all it is. It's a temporary place and that's
- 17:57Speaker 1: that's something that people need to remember. I think that's
- 18:00Speaker 1: the smartest way I've had it put. A shelter is
- 18:03Speaker 1: not a resort, that's right. And they're just you're right
- 18:08Speaker 1: there telling people just to pack enough for three days.
- 18:12Speaker 1: For three days, pack your toiletries, pack some bedding and
- 18:15Speaker 1: you know, get it there. Medication if you need that,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and and stuff like that. They're giving you a place
- 18:21Speaker 1: to sleep. A lot of people are bringing their pets in.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I mean we've heard um of shelters, you know, where
- 18:26Speaker 1: you can bring your dogs you can bring your cats.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Some people have birds, you know, things that are close
- 18:31Speaker 1: to you that you want to keep with you and
- 18:32Speaker 1: keep saying part of your face. Yeah, that's what you
- 18:34Speaker 1: bring to the shelters. Nothing else, you know, because in
- 18:38Speaker 1: thousands upon thousands of people, all right, a lot of
- 18:41Speaker 1: these shelters, over seventy two thousand in in the state
- 18:45Speaker 1: of Florida, people are in the shelters, which means the
- 18:49Speaker 1: good news is that a lot of the people listen
- 18:52Speaker 1: to what the city leaders were telling them to evacuate.
- 18:55Speaker 1: So that is the good news. I mean, it's a
- 18:58Speaker 1: lot of people in the shelters, but us a lot
- 19:00Speaker 1: of lives that are being saved by not ignoring what
- 19:05Speaker 1: these city officials are telling you. Because, like you said,
- 19:07Speaker 1: the show is dedicated to the first responders, but they
- 19:10Speaker 1: can't get to you, so you can't ask them to
- 19:12Speaker 1: put their lives in in in in harm's way when
- 19:16Speaker 1: you didn't follow the mandatory evacuation requests, right, And their work,
- 19:21Speaker 1: their work doesn't even begin until, like you know, afterwards,
- 19:25Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. They're they're prepared to help afterwards,
- 19:29Speaker 1: to come in and and rescue people and get the
- 19:32Speaker 1: roads back up and all the trees that may have
- 19:34Speaker 1: fallen on the road so people can drive through. That's
- 19:37Speaker 1: what they're you know, that's their responsibility immediately after IRMA passes.
- 19:43Speaker 1: So wow, the rebuilding and the recovery and so, like
- 19:47Speaker 1: you said, Steve when we started the show, this is
- 19:50Speaker 1: a tough time for this country, you know, and and
- 19:53Speaker 1: and for some of our neighboring countries in the Caribbean.
- 19:56Speaker 1: We have to help them rebuild and we have to
- 19:58Speaker 1: help each other. So it's a tough time. But you
- 20:01Speaker 1: know we can do it. We can rebuild, we can recover.
- 20:04Speaker 1: We got this. I mean, you know, look, it is
- 20:09Speaker 1: just a tough time. Uh. The I was watching, uh yesterday,
- 20:15Speaker 1: how the Houston our football team was getting ready to play.
- 20:20Speaker 1: You know, they want to win one for the city.
- 20:23Speaker 1: You know, they talked about that. You know, it's just
- 20:25Speaker 1: a lot of them just trying to come together. Everything
- 20:28Speaker 1: that the Houston h Texans were doing, the Astros we're doing,
- 20:33Speaker 1: you know, the Rockets were doing. They're all down there
- 20:35Speaker 1: trying to do something to make a contribution. And also
- 20:42Speaker 1: to those Steve, when you said the Texans, they played
- 20:44Speaker 1: the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jacksonville. Those players are staying
- 20:48Speaker 1: in Houston because of Irma right that they came down early. Actually,
- 20:57Speaker 1: and it's crazy, though, but you staying in Houston, but
- 21:00Speaker 1: Houston just got hit. That's that's really good. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 1: this is really something these last let me tell you
- 21:09Speaker 1: this talk. I'll tell you this. If you are alive today,
- 21:12Speaker 1: you have a lot to be grateful for. And you
- 21:15Speaker 1: gotta look at that. And I know we got a
- 21:17Speaker 1: lot of gloom going on right now in the news,
- 21:20Speaker 1: but if you live in if you survived it and
- 21:22Speaker 1: you still here, your love one still here, you got
- 21:25Speaker 1: a lot to be grateful for. Men, you know, And
- 21:28Speaker 1: that's the upside of it. And don't ever lose the upside,
- 21:32Speaker 1: because it's important. Man. Sometimes we get so caught up
- 21:35Speaker 1: into what's wrong that we forget to be grateful for
- 21:38Speaker 1: what's okay. And if you lose sight of what's okay,
- 21:41Speaker 1: you sometimes you can miss the blessing. You're right, You're
- 21:45Speaker 1: absolutely right. I saw this lady standing outside of the
- 21:48Speaker 1: shelter yesterday and she was saying that at least we're
- 21:50Speaker 1: alive and we have someplace to go. Um. So, as
- 21:54Speaker 1: we mentioned, today is the sixteenth anniversary of nine eleven.
- 21:57Speaker 1: We will never forget and we will be back. You're
- 22:00Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Hard Morning Show, all right. Coming
- 22:04Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, we will update
- 22:06Speaker 1: you on our national news, of course, the latest on
- 22:08Speaker 1: Hurricane Irma. But you know what, Steve, laughter heels the soul.
- 22:14Speaker 1: It's time for some laughter. You know, today is Monday.
- 22:17Speaker 1: That means it's time for Reverend Motown and Deacon Deaf
- 22:20Speaker 1: jam with today's church complaints. A time to nanda m
- 22:31Speaker 1: hm mam, oh, my lord, oh, my lord, man, man, man.
- 22:40Speaker 1: We is here today on this Monday. We've all that
- 22:48Speaker 1: is going on in the world today. Yes, these are
- 22:53Speaker 1: ungrateful members of mine have still managed to find something
- 23:02Speaker 1: to complain about. Lord, what in the hell is wrong?
- 23:11Speaker 1: I know, I passed that we are going through a
- 23:14Speaker 1: situation where we have it seems like our celebrity church
- 23:20Speaker 1: members are complaining with different issues today. So let me
- 23:25Speaker 1: start with Brother Samuel Jackson's. Uh he saw two roaches
- 23:31Speaker 1: in the church doing Bible study and screamed out, who
- 23:35Speaker 1: put these blanketed blankets roaches in this blanketed blank church church.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You're gonna have to control him past that you're gonna
- 23:42Speaker 1: have to talk to Samuel. Well, you're talking about Samuel
- 23:47Speaker 1: Jackson will due to the monetized that brother Jackson paid.
- 23:56Speaker 1: All right, our too was wondering who putty blank blat
- 24:05Speaker 1: church and seven O set them over there next to
- 24:07Speaker 1: blanking Sam Jacks because we run him out of hill,
- 24:13Speaker 1: We're gonna have to close the dolls on literacy. Joined
- 24:16Speaker 1: we got the stand path. I'm fine. We knew that
- 24:22Speaker 1: brother Jackson was a custle. Yeah, so we we was
- 24:29Speaker 1: all right with that. We've actually been We've introduced brother
- 24:34Speaker 1: sam to our church basketball team, okay, because they've been
- 24:41Speaker 1: playing teams outside the church league and they need to
- 24:46Speaker 1: know some cuss words if they're gonna be playing auto companies,
- 24:50Speaker 1: postal workers, people down at ups and fear that you're
- 24:56Speaker 1: gonna have to learn this. So we want to thank
- 24:58Speaker 1: oh brother Jackson sell alright, alright, now here another celebrity,
- 25:05Speaker 1: Tiger Wood, just asking that why don't we have any
- 25:08Speaker 1: white women in the church. He says, we are being
- 25:11Speaker 1: stereotypical and could stop, uh this and get some white
- 25:15Speaker 1: women in the congregation. Now you're gonna, I don't know
- 25:18Speaker 1: what to do about this fact. We oh, yeah, let's
- 25:25Speaker 1: hear it well, politically correct, fix what you got past.
- 25:32Speaker 1: We we we we have an open due policy here,
- 25:39Speaker 1: Joy of Jerusale we do oh I we you oh white.
- 26:04Speaker 1: I like white people. I've often wanted one to come
- 26:11Speaker 1: sit with us. But I think it's the location of
- 26:17Speaker 1: our building that's right, that is slowing it down. We're
- 26:21Speaker 1: on the corner of hell no. And we're on the
- 26:29Speaker 1: corner of hell no. And wish you would have you.
- 26:33Speaker 1: There ain't a lot of white folk comfortable coming down
- 26:36Speaker 1: here that we're trying to move out on Primrose Avenue.
- 26:40Speaker 1: But we ain't building fund ain't got up there. Tell
- 26:45Speaker 1: brother Woods, we don't have no white girls here yet,
- 26:50Speaker 1: but it is quite a few that I want to
- 26:55Speaker 1: be co all right now, speaking of case in past
- 27:00Speaker 1: that I don't know if you realize or not, but
- 27:03Speaker 1: Magic Johnson has put a Stopbucks on one side of
- 27:07Speaker 1: the church and a Fat Burgers on the other. There
- 27:10Speaker 1: are rumors that he is trying to move us out
- 27:13Speaker 1: of here. The congregation won't uh you to assure us
- 27:17Speaker 1: that that won't happen. But Magic Johnson looked like he
- 27:20Speaker 1: gonna buy the church property and get us out of here.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Can you assure the congregation that we are all right? No,
- 27:27Speaker 1: I can't. Oh your magic coming here with enough money,
- 27:32Speaker 1: he can't added rightular here. Now he's not the magic.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Ain't been here one day. Number one reason Magic don't
- 27:40Speaker 1: come here because all I don't we do ways, ain't
- 27:43Speaker 1: talking him. We only got six two dough weks. No,
- 27:47Speaker 1: he don't even come in here because you don't that
- 27:49Speaker 1: he's you know, he's bending down. So we've been trying
- 27:52Speaker 1: to increase the archway on the doors. They six four
- 27:57Speaker 1: but he sick now right, So he came one time,
- 28:01Speaker 1: but he busted the nose and had turned around home.
- 28:05Speaker 1: So what we're gonna do is we're gonna let Oh,
- 28:08Speaker 1: I'm hoping that fat burger do by the church. And
- 28:14Speaker 1: by the way, have you been over there and had
- 28:16Speaker 1: yourself a fat burger? Absolutely delicious. Oh, we have a
- 28:25Speaker 1: situation past that the winds and the whinings. Please talk
- 28:31Speaker 1: to them. They cannot come to serving at the same time.
- 28:34Speaker 1: It is actually too many of them, the wanings and
- 28:38Speaker 1: the whinings. Absolutely correct time, we had sixteen hundred people
- 28:44Speaker 1: in here and we can only hold five hunt So
- 28:46Speaker 1: you're gonna have to talk to one member from each family.
- 28:49Speaker 1: We're not gonna well, I'm not gonna do that, Deacon.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Once again, we are looking at the amount of revenue
- 28:56Speaker 1: that comes in off the way Keenan, Dane and Mall
- 29:02Speaker 1: and Sean, the girl kill they Mama Nel. They just
- 29:07Speaker 1: gotten money, all the damnon kids in the show business,
- 29:12Speaker 1: the DJ and they're doing everything. We're gonna let them
- 29:14Speaker 1: come on in there, not a not a wine. And
- 29:18Speaker 1: they don't get that much when they cove because they
- 29:23Speaker 1: all have churches of their own. Yeah, all them, all
- 29:29Speaker 1: the wine has been in church their whole life. They
- 29:32Speaker 1: daddy all that, so they don't get that much when
- 29:34Speaker 1: they come. They all their money go to their church.
- 29:38Speaker 1: They got beautiful churches over their pleasures. C C and
- 29:41Speaker 1: BB is over there cutting albums, all their money in studio.
- 29:49Speaker 1: So what's this? Ain't no solutions. I'm through what waiting
- 29:53Speaker 1: on here and I'm here pastor okay, last, but not
- 29:57Speaker 1: leave past it? Would you please? I tell Tyler parent
- 30:01Speaker 1: that Medea is not allowed in the in the quay
- 30:05Speaker 1: last week she smoked a cigarette doing the song. God
- 30:08Speaker 1: is trying to tell you something and put it out
- 30:10Speaker 1: on him. But you're gonna have to talk to either
- 30:13Speaker 1: Tyler Medea wanted to temple. I have told you again,
- 30:17Speaker 1: and this is the third time to day. The level
- 30:21Speaker 1: of money that Tyler Perrot brings with him allows Medea
- 30:27Speaker 1: took put it out on him book, wipe her mouth
- 30:33Speaker 1: with her robe, do her lipstick with somebody else's mirror,
- 30:41Speaker 1: and then came up in there and sit right next
- 30:43Speaker 1: to me in the pool pitt because she didn't have
- 30:46Speaker 1: another leg room in the quass. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 30:50Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, this Hurricane Irma roared into Florida.
- 30:55Speaker 1: The winds, the rain, tornadoes. We are praying, praying, praying
- 30:59Speaker 1: for our list nurse in West Palm Beach and Tampa
- 31:02Speaker 1: and Fort Myers, Jacksonville and all the surrounding areas. Massive
- 31:06Speaker 1: power outages, storm surges, more than seventy two thousand people
- 31:10Speaker 1: evacuated to shelters. And don't forget today is September eleventh.
- 31:14Speaker 1: America will never forget the nearly three thousand people who
- 31:18Speaker 1: were who lost their lives in the nine eleven attacks.
- 31:20Speaker 1: We continue to pray for the victims families, So Steve Um,
- 31:25Speaker 1: we have a lot of news to get to this morning.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Miss Anne is here. Yeah, so let's just get right
- 31:30Speaker 1: to it, ladies and gentlemen, she's here, Miss and Trip.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Thank you very much, everybody, and yes we do have
- 31:36Speaker 1: a lot to get to. First of all, let me
- 31:38Speaker 1: tell you where what's going on right now. Hurricane Irma
- 31:41Speaker 1: is moving north up Florida's Gulf coast, but it's now
- 31:45Speaker 1: barely holding on to hurricane status because it's been downgraded
- 31:49Speaker 1: to a category one storm Category one storm, and Irma's
- 31:52Speaker 1: about sixty miles north of Tampa right now, and by
- 31:55Speaker 1: the end of the day it just might even just
- 31:57Speaker 1: be a tropical depression. Doesn't mean that it's not dangerous,
- 32:00Speaker 1: doesn't mean that people don't need to watch out, but
- 32:02Speaker 1: it has been downgraded severely. We have seventeen thousand people
- 32:07Speaker 1: still in shelters down there. More than four million people
- 32:11Speaker 1: are without power. There have been thirty two reported deaths,
- 32:14Speaker 1: five in Florida so far, twenty seven in the Caribbean,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and the ones the deaths in Florida. There may be
- 32:20Speaker 1: more deaths and when they start recovering and getting back
- 32:23Speaker 1: into the neighborhoods. But again, thirty two deaths so far
- 32:26Speaker 1: reported from Hurricane Irma, five in Florida so far twenty
- 32:30Speaker 1: seven in the Caribbean again, she's now a Category one.
- 32:34Speaker 1: She's moving basically generally moving north northwest. And meanwhile, there
- 32:39Speaker 1: has been some looting. There was some looting in northeast
- 32:42Speaker 1: of Tampa. About nine people were arrested for looting, but
- 32:44Speaker 1: that was just the only case of that, they say.
- 32:47Speaker 1: President Trump has approved a major disaster decoration for that area,
- 32:51Speaker 1: only hours after Governor Rick Scott made the request over
- 32:53Speaker 1: the weekend, and the President's action makes federal aid available
- 32:56Speaker 1: for victims in the nine counties already hit by the storm.
- 33:00Speaker 1: The aid is going to conclude include things like temporary
- 33:02Speaker 1: housing and low cost rebuilding loans. And the President is
- 33:05Speaker 1: full of praise, by the way, for the disaster workers responsible. Yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 1: Coach Guard has been amazing already. You've been hearing what
- 33:12Speaker 1: they're doing right in the middle of the storm. FEMA
- 33:15Speaker 1: has been incredible. We're working very well with the governor
- 33:18Speaker 1: and the other governors in surrounding states. With an estimated
- 33:21Speaker 1: four million people. As I said, without lights right now,
- 33:23Speaker 1: a lot of help is going to be needed to
- 33:25Speaker 1: get folks back online. Governor Rick Scott says there's a
- 33:29Speaker 1: federal disaster relieve on the way courtesy of the President's
- 33:32Speaker 1: Federal Disaster Declaration, of course, but he also feels that
- 33:35Speaker 1: help is also on the way and has come in
- 33:37Speaker 1: from other places. In fact, first responders are either down
- 33:42Speaker 1: there but was just here from the governor. Now you've
- 33:44Speaker 1: got THEEMA officials here. That's true for every every fail agency.
- 33:47Speaker 1: People are working hard, um, and there's a lot of unknowns, um,
- 33:52Speaker 1: And that's what you worry about. One thing you feel
- 33:55Speaker 1: good about is people want to help. And I've had
- 33:57Speaker 1: college from outside the country and all over this country.
- 33:59Speaker 1: People want to come in and help, and I believe
- 34:01Speaker 1: they will. In fact, first responders are either down the
- 34:03Speaker 1: Elne now, as I said, are on their way from
- 34:05Speaker 1: all over the country. That includes people from utility companies
- 34:08Speaker 1: of some one d fifty employees of New Jersey's PSC
- 34:11Speaker 1: and G left yesterday to do whatever needs doing in
- 34:14Speaker 1: the pretty much hammered Sunshine State. Meanwhile, Texans are still
- 34:18Speaker 1: struggling to get back to normal in the wake of
- 34:19Speaker 1: Hurricane Harvey. A number of residents they're still waiting to
- 34:22Speaker 1: get back into their homes after two weeks. Arizona Senator
- 34:26Speaker 1: John McCain's schedule for an m RI I today, the
- 34:29Speaker 1: prominent Republican lawmaker and war hero battling what is said
- 34:32Speaker 1: to be an aggressive and deadly form of brain cancer.
- 34:36Speaker 1: It's the same kind that kill the late Democratic senter
- 34:38Speaker 1: Teddy Kennedy. However, yesterday on ABC State the Union, San
- 34:42Speaker 1: McCain said that so far anyway, all signs are good
- 34:44Speaker 1: and he's feeling good. At the weekend box office, it
- 34:47Speaker 1: was all about it, that's right. It made from a
- 34:50Speaker 1: Stephen King novel, handily topping the box office by bringing
- 34:54Speaker 1: in a record breaking one and seventeen million dollars. Now
- 34:58Speaker 1: that means that is the big full movie opening ever.
- 35:02Speaker 1: It one hundred and seventeen million dollars. Everything else really
- 35:06Speaker 1: really a distance second. Reese Witherspoon's latest comes in at
- 35:10Speaker 1: nine million. Samuel Jackson is the latest Hitman Bodyguard. He's
- 35:14Speaker 1: still in there, but he came in third this weekend. Today, meanwhile,
- 35:18Speaker 1: does mark the sixteenth anniversary of nine eleven. This is
- 35:22Speaker 1: a trip today, Marxie, anniversary of the nine eleven attacks. Compassion,
- 35:29Speaker 1: sacrifice forever in the heart of our nation to reaffirm
- 35:34Speaker 1: the true spirit of nine eleven. My name is Joe Daniels,
- 35:38Speaker 1: and I'm president of the National nine eleven Memorial and Museum.
- 35:41Speaker 1: The visitor experience at the museum is one that helps
- 35:44Speaker 1: recall the memories of that day, both the tragedy that
- 35:48Speaker 1: people faced as well as how people came together to
- 35:51Speaker 1: help one another. And we use artifacts and first person accounts.
- 35:55Speaker 1: And when you go back up to the memorial after
- 35:57Speaker 1: going through the very emotional museum and you see the
- 36:00Speaker 1: two thou three names, it gives a special meaning to it,
- 36:04Speaker 1: and most people lost their lives and they should be honored.
- 36:06Speaker 1: I do like that aspect of it. My wife went
- 36:09Speaker 1: to the museum. I have not yet, but I planned
- 36:11Speaker 1: to because I think it is something that we need
- 36:13Speaker 1: to remember. It's part of American history, you know, with
- 36:15Speaker 1: isis resurgence, we definitely need to be worried. Every time
- 36:19Speaker 1: I see somebody get on the trend, they'll put it
- 36:21Speaker 1: back on the trend. So I'm always watching. Some people
- 36:24Speaker 1: have a problem with the commercialism of it. You know,
- 36:26Speaker 1: it was there in ninety three when it happened, and
- 36:29Speaker 1: then for then I'm thinking, I said, man, these guys
- 36:31Speaker 1: waited that long and they came back again. If they
- 36:34Speaker 1: waited that long. I think they're waiting again. My feelings
- 36:38Speaker 1: are still raw. You'll never forget. I have not had
- 36:41Speaker 1: the heart to go down. I have taken the virtual tour,
- 36:44Speaker 1: but I've not been able to actually go in person.
- 36:47Speaker 1: People were helping people walk, women were barefoot, There was ashen,
- 36:52Speaker 1: soot and blood. I think we have to remember there
- 36:56Speaker 1: has to be that same kind of annual celebration so
- 36:59Speaker 1: that we never forget as we see the threat of
- 37:03Speaker 1: terrorism by ISIS, the police killings of Michael Brown and Arigona.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Understand that history is not going to change things. We
- 37:15Speaker 1: must change history, remembering nine eleven. This is an trip
- 37:21Speaker 1: and of course again once more. Hurricane Irma now moving
- 37:24Speaker 1: north of Florida's Gulf Coast. It's barely holding on though
- 37:28Speaker 1: the hurricane status has now been downgraded to a Category
- 37:31Speaker 1: one storm about sixty miles north of Tampa right now.
- 37:34Speaker 1: She may be downgraded to a tropical depression by the
- 37:37Speaker 1: end of the day. So far, thirty two deaths, five
- 37:40Speaker 1: in Florida, twenty seven in the Caribbean. We'll be back
- 37:43Speaker 1: twenty minutes after This is Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're
- 37:46Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning show. All right, Steve introduced Jay,
- 37:51Speaker 1: so Jay can introduce the butcher fly. Oh god, this
- 37:54Speaker 1: is just getting to be too much, lady Jay Anthony Brown,
- 37:58Speaker 1: you better get read. Eugen is coming on. Oh my god,
- 38:04Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. Good morning everyone, see

- 38:28Speaker 1: It's hug a coworker today or hugg a friend today.
- 38:31Speaker 1: It's all about hugging. I think hugging is gonna make us,
- 38:34Speaker 1: you know, just a better, better country, better people, better friendship.
- 38:38Speaker 1: So all of us we're gonna start this hugging day
- 38:41Speaker 1: off hugging each other. And I want to hug each
- 38:45Speaker 1: and every one of you individually. Okay, now we got
- 38:53Speaker 1: you got you got. We're gonna explain something you said.
- 38:56Speaker 1: First of all, you should hug a friend. We're not is,
- 39:00Speaker 1: And I said you should hug a coworker, and we're
- 39:03Speaker 1: not co workers, so I don't have to hook me.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Go ahead and start hooking. I'm okay, I'm a hugging
- 39:08Speaker 1: Shirley and Call of Pirst. These are the girls. There's

- 39:30Speaker 1: you right now? Come here, don't touch him, stop stop
- 39:37Speaker 1: not hugging him, and let me say and let me
- 39:40Speaker 1: say this. I don't like church hugs. I want you
- 39:43Speaker 1: to get I want my I'm gonna putting my hand
- 39:45Speaker 1: in the spine of your back. We're gonna hug you
- 39:48Speaker 1: mean o church hugs where you just hugging around the
- 39:50Speaker 1: next Yeah, and it'd be it'd be separated in between.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I think I think a real hug is body, the
- 39:56Speaker 1: body you know, just to you like too much. I
- 39:59Speaker 1: ain't How do you get now you're getting out of hugging?
- 40:05Speaker 1: Order hold out now, Jill. Don't why you don't fight?
- 40:11Speaker 1: Don't why are you fighting? I don't care what it is? Okay,
- 40:16Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown, all right, see that that was a
- 40:21Speaker 1: good hug. It was quick, but it was good. It
- 40:23Speaker 1: was a good hud. Damn I heard that. But go
- 40:26Speaker 1: ahead on and paying good money. Okay, this is here.
- 40:34Speaker 1: This is the true moment. Came I stay, hut stay,
- 40:48Speaker 1: Why are you You're so aggressive? Let's be live all
- 40:53Speaker 1: over the world. Let's be live except for here. My
- 40:56Speaker 1: boss phone. All right, we gotta girl coming up. That
- 41:00Speaker 1: the stars were in Houston this past weekend. They were
- 41:02Speaker 1: giving back. We'll talk about it at thirty or four
- 41:05Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll be back. You're listening to the
- 41:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show, all right, Steve, you and your wife Marjorie,
- 41:12Speaker 1: of course, donated to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Well. Beyonce,
- 41:16Speaker 1: Janet Jackson, Kevin Hart, and Chris Paul. We're all in
- 41:20Speaker 1: Houston this past weekend. Beyonce delivered an emotional speech to
- 41:24Speaker 1: Hurricane Harvey evacuees Friday at her home church in Houston, St.
- 41:28Speaker 1: John's Church. Um, this today is a celebration of survival,
- 41:34Speaker 1: Beyonce said, UM, you all are my family. Houston is
- 41:38Speaker 1: my home. I thank God that you all are safe,
- 41:41Speaker 1: that your children are safe. The things that really matter
- 41:44Speaker 1: are your health and your children and your family and
- 41:47Speaker 1: your life. Also on Friday, Janet Jackson arrived in Houston
- 41:52Speaker 1: to visit with Hurricane Harvey evacuees at the George R.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Brown Convention Center. Jackson dedicated her concert at the Toyota
- 42:00Speaker 1: Center on Saturday to the victims of Harvey, and she'll
- 42:03Speaker 1: donate a portion of the proceeds to local flood relief efforts.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Jackson's post baby body is uh looking really good. Uh
- 42:13Speaker 1: she was playing right. Kevin Hard and Houston Rockets point
- 42:18Speaker 1: guard Chris Paul teamed up with Red Cross and also
- 42:21Speaker 1: took to the streets of Houston and delivered food. They
- 42:23Speaker 1: delivered water and other supplies, which is great. So thank
- 42:28Speaker 1: everyone who participated and who has helped out so far. Why,
- 42:32Speaker 1: I mean, giving is so important, It really really is
- 42:35Speaker 1: giving back. So Steve, I just wanted to ask you.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I mentioned you and Marjorie at the top of this piece.
- 42:43Speaker 1: It's important to you because why when it first started happening,
- 42:48Speaker 1: the name Harvey was kind of, you know, crazy, so
- 42:52Speaker 1: you know we started getting all that, you know, people
- 42:56Speaker 1: and everything, and then and the hurricane e in the
- 42:59Speaker 1: play with you know, you want to make a meme
- 43:01Speaker 1: and it ain't nothing else we can laugh about in
- 43:03Speaker 1: this world. Today we're somebody's gonna suffer some destruction. Could
- 43:07Speaker 1: be lost of life. Now we're out here, we got
- 43:09Speaker 1: funny stuff to say about it. But you know, Marjorie
- 43:12Speaker 1: set out and just said here's what she wanted to do,
- 43:15Speaker 1: and so she did it. You know, Kevin had posted
- 43:18Speaker 1: the challenge, but my wife had already made a decision
- 43:21Speaker 1: about what we were gonna do, and so we just
- 43:24Speaker 1: quietly did what we were gonna do. You know, we
- 43:26Speaker 1: didn't make a deal about it anything. And then we
- 43:29Speaker 1: went and did some other things with some housing opportunities
- 43:34Speaker 1: for people, you know, with the Red Cross. So you know,
- 43:37Speaker 1: we put that into motion, and so it's just necessary,
- 43:40Speaker 1: you know, to do what you do. Um, Marjorie's philosophy
- 43:44Speaker 1: is not to stand up on top of the box
- 43:47Speaker 1: and say, hey, look what I did. She doesn't like
- 43:49Speaker 1: to do it that way, and I understood that. Now
- 43:53Speaker 1: listen to me. I'm not knocking it. I'm not saying
- 43:55Speaker 1: I think you know, people publicize what they give and
- 43:58Speaker 1: they and they want to. I think that's great because
- 44:00Speaker 1: you have to draw attention to the problem. And what
- 44:05Speaker 1: Kevin did was perfectly acceptable because he just wanted to
- 44:09Speaker 1: draw attention to the problem. So I had no problem. Please, no,
- 44:13Speaker 1: I'm not slamming anybody for publicly talking about what they do,
- 44:17Speaker 1: because I think is great. But we just wanted to
- 44:20Speaker 1: do what we did, and uh, you know, we just
- 44:23Speaker 1: going about the business. It's important though that those of
- 44:27Speaker 1: us who can help should help, because it's just it's
- 44:32Speaker 1: just important, man, And it's not you know, if you
- 44:35Speaker 1: don't have all that money, you know, and and and
- 44:39Speaker 1: you know, you don't have to do it. Marjorie just
- 44:41Speaker 1: said she didn't need public approval. That's what she kept saying.
- 44:44Speaker 1: She says, Steve, I don't need public approval, and and
- 44:48Speaker 1: that was her philosophy. I honored that, you know. So
- 44:51Speaker 1: you know we did what we did. You know, some
- 44:54Speaker 1: of it leaks because you know, Red Cross has a
- 44:57Speaker 1: celebrity and U what they call you have some celebrity
- 45:02Speaker 1: entertainment division, and when they see you bring in a
- 45:07Speaker 1: large donation date, they reach right back out to you.
- 45:10Speaker 1: You know, they very conscious about that. But we like
- 45:16Speaker 1: everybody who's helping. See and if you're not as fortunate
- 45:19Speaker 1: as others, your ten dollars, if that's your big kill,
- 45:22Speaker 1: that's your big give. It's it's all relative, you know. Now,
- 45:30Speaker 1: Marjorie and I gave ten dollars and be kind of crazy,
- 45:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean, because we have more. But
- 45:38Speaker 1: those people who give five and send into and ten,
- 45:41Speaker 1: it's a beautiful thing. Man, y'all, Just keep giving, just
- 45:43Speaker 1: keep doing your sharing. You'll be when We'll be fine.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And if you can't give, prey. We will have the
- 45:49Speaker 1: latest update on months on the monster storm Hurricane Irma
- 45:52Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, and if you want
- 45:54Speaker 1: to help, text the word Irma to nine to make
- 45:57Speaker 1: your donation, or you can go to Red Cross dot
- 45:59Speaker 1: are dot org. We'll be right back. You're listening to
- 46:03Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, This storm, Hurricane
- 46:07Speaker 1: IRMA has made landfall in Florida, whipping wind rain. Irma
- 46:12Speaker 1: has caused Walt disney World to close for the six
- 46:15Speaker 1: time in fifty years. This is just they've closed six
- 46:19Speaker 1: times in fifty years, so you know this is major.
- 46:22Speaker 1: We will have the latest update with Miss Anne right
- 46:25Speaker 1: about four minutes after the hour. But up next it's
- 46:27Speaker 1: the Nephew's prank phone call. Nephew. You know what, y'all,
- 46:31Speaker 1: I really feel like being stupid this morning. Wow, I
- 46:35Speaker 1: do it? Just it just hit me that there's a
- 46:40Speaker 1: time for stupidity, and it's right now, it's right now,
- 46:45Speaker 1: it's absolutely right now. Can you do my makeup? Right there?
- 46:51Speaker 1: Can you do my makeup? That's the prank? Right there?
- 46:54Speaker 1: Can you do my makeup? Hello? Hello, mane with to
- 47:01Speaker 1: uh to Brandy blues. Yes, Brandy, my name is Carl.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm calling. I got a you came highly recommended. You
- 47:08Speaker 1: actually you're you actually are I'm sorry it isn't may.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm saying. As a makeup artist,
- 47:12Speaker 1: makeup style, that's what you what do you call it?
- 47:14Speaker 1: It's makeup artist. I'm a professional makeup artists. Okay, And
- 47:18Speaker 1: you work at the you work with the makeup counter
- 47:20Speaker 1: and correct. Okay, listen, I gotta I gotta photo shoot
- 47:25Speaker 1: coming up, and I wanted to see about um sometime
- 47:28Speaker 1: this week maybe the following week. You could actually come
- 47:31Speaker 1: and and I hired you'd actually make me up for
- 47:33Speaker 1: my photo shoot? Is Do you do a lot of
- 47:36Speaker 1: photo shoots at all? Or you? Yes, I should do.
- 47:39Speaker 1: I've been in the business for ten years, so I've
- 47:41Speaker 1: been around several fellow shoots. Okay, good deal. So what
- 47:44Speaker 1: what's I mean? You have any time this week that
- 47:46Speaker 1: I can actually just come in and we can do
- 47:48Speaker 1: like a trial run or something. Yeah. I'll actually be
- 47:51Speaker 1: here Friday for about six hours with Friday work for you.
- 47:55Speaker 1: I'm here. I started at eleven. At eleven, I mean
- 47:57Speaker 1: I could come in later, maybe like around three on
- 47:59Speaker 1: Friday if if you can you squeeze me in at
- 48:01Speaker 1: that time. Okay, what's what's so good? Is there a
- 48:05Speaker 1: certain makeup for for men out? It works out the
- 48:09Speaker 1: same as for women in fronto shoots. You just need
- 48:11Speaker 1: some type of crane foundation something even out of skin tone,
- 48:15Speaker 1: uh powder you down to take away the oils, cover
- 48:18Speaker 1: up any blemishes or anything like that. It's pretty much
- 48:20Speaker 1: the same. Of course, you don't get the whole eyeshadow
- 48:22Speaker 1: and lashes and stuff. But right, right, right, right right,
- 48:24Speaker 1: Well I'm not but I just try to, you know,
- 48:27Speaker 1: just trying to look good on camera. UM. Let me
- 48:30Speaker 1: ask you this, how much makeup have you done as
- 48:32Speaker 1: far as um men? You know what I mean? Okay,
- 48:36Speaker 1: I'm very comfortable with it. You'll be fine, trust me.
- 48:39Speaker 1: That's what I was really worried about it if you
- 48:40Speaker 1: were going to be comfortable with it, because, uh, I mean,
- 48:42Speaker 1: have you done? Um, I'm a little conscientious about a
- 48:46Speaker 1: few things, you know what I mean? And you have
- 48:51Speaker 1: how many butts have you done? I'm sorry how many
- 48:55Speaker 1: what like like like butts? You know how many? How
- 48:58Speaker 1: many butts have you made up? I haven't made up any?
- 49:03Speaker 1: But like are you like you mean like yeah, I
- 49:07Speaker 1: mean you could see my I'm actually doing a nude
- 49:10Speaker 1: photo shoot and uh, you know, I got a couple
- 49:13Speaker 1: of scratches and you know, some old scars on my butt,
- 49:16Speaker 1: and you know, like like you said, you know, I'm
- 49:18Speaker 1: a little shy about you know some of that. So
- 49:20Speaker 1: I was you can actually hope you can actually make
- 49:22Speaker 1: sure that those cars don't show and you know you
- 49:25Speaker 1: said you kind of you know, uh make sure everything
- 49:29Speaker 1: is it doesn't look oily, you know what I mean?
- 49:31Speaker 1: And and uh, I just need to get my money out. Well,
- 49:34Speaker 1: but I I didn't when I didn't understand what you're
- 49:37Speaker 1: talking about. I may not be the makeup, but I
- 49:39Speaker 1: don't I'm not seriously, I'm not gonna do here, okay,
- 49:43Speaker 1: but I mean were just talking about makeup though, I mean,
- 49:45Speaker 1: you know you you're talking about Yeah, but I'm not
- 49:47Speaker 1: about to put my makeup brushes that I use on
- 49:49Speaker 1: people's faces on your ads, like to tell your photographers
- 49:53Speaker 1: just like photoshop that, because well that's where I'm coming
- 49:56Speaker 1: in to see you on Friday. I want you to
- 49:58Speaker 1: to do everything and and make me up there in
- 50:00Speaker 1: the store so I can see what it looks like.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I want to see you. You were gonna come into
- 50:04Speaker 1: my job and make me do your like? What are you? What? Planted?
- 50:08Speaker 1: Are you? Where? Did you think that was gonna work?
- 50:10Speaker 1: You cannot come into my job. How are you gonna
- 50:12Speaker 1: come my job naked? Seriously? I mean, well, I was
- 50:15Speaker 1: gonna wear a robe. I'm not gonna just, you know,
- 50:17Speaker 1: walk in there. Don't you even think about coming into
- 50:20Speaker 1: my job? Who referred you? Who told you need to
- 50:23Speaker 1: delete this number? Do not? I'm not about to get
- 50:27Speaker 1: this job. Just need to get done, okay. I don't
- 50:30Speaker 1: want why is the problem? Want you doing? What is
- 50:34Speaker 1: the problem? You're doing my butt and putting some makeup
- 50:37Speaker 1: on it? Not. I need to buy you some brushes,
- 50:39Speaker 1: Buy you some brushes and you can take what I
- 50:41Speaker 1: want you to buy me anything. I don't want you
- 50:43Speaker 1: coming into my job. I don't want you calling me
- 50:45Speaker 1: ever again to do any kind of work. I'm coming
- 50:47Speaker 1: in there and I'm now listen, I have a professional
- 50:50Speaker 1: makeup artists. Clearly you don't know what that means. So
- 50:52Speaker 1: you don't. Then you will take out the part that's
- 50:57Speaker 1: bothering you and do the job. Lady, you know what
- 50:59Speaker 1: I mean of my sort want to I'm used before
- 51:03Speaker 1: I get real ignorant, I'm not about to finish this conversation.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Do not come into my job. Do not call me
- 51:09Speaker 1: to do your That's not gonna happen. So so so,
- 51:12Speaker 1: I guess it's says to go around and let people
- 51:14Speaker 1: know that Brandy is not professional because you can't through
- 51:17Speaker 1: part restation is good in the streets. Boo, you can't
- 51:21Speaker 1: go around and tell anybody that I'm not professional. Nobody
- 51:23Speaker 1: ever called me to be there. Get some skincare for
- 51:26Speaker 1: your how about that? And then you won't need any makeup?
- 51:28Speaker 1: I know you. Then you're not gonna sit here now,
- 51:30Speaker 1: sart talking about my bec if I told you some
- 51:33Speaker 1: of my deepest secrets to let you know, I want
- 51:35Speaker 1: to come in there and get somebody that you're bad
- 51:37Speaker 1: for telling the change or your deepest secrets. Okay, you
- 51:40Speaker 1: know what, I'm coming up to your store anyway on Friday,
- 51:43Speaker 1: all right, and I'll talk to your boss. Don't let
- 51:44Speaker 1: them though, don't let it fool you, Chalge, you heard me,
- 51:48Speaker 1: don't come in my job. Look if I lose my
- 51:50Speaker 1: job over your foolishness, I guarantee you will be paying
- 51:52Speaker 1: on my bills. Okay. Bottom line is I'm coming in
- 51:55Speaker 1: there with my rob on Friday. Somebody gonna do my
- 51:58Speaker 1: but you your manager not coming? You know what? How
- 52:01Speaker 1: about you come up here right now? How cauld I
- 52:02Speaker 1: go ahead and take care of the situation right now.
- 52:04Speaker 1: I'm here now can you come right here? Come up
- 52:06Speaker 1: there right now with my role. But we'll bring bring
- 52:09Speaker 1: your butt up here right now. We'll see if your
- 52:11Speaker 1: buck gets done. I'm not doing okay with the bottom line.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Who is your manager anyway? What's she? Is? She there?
- 52:16Speaker 1: I am the manager? Now what okay? See that's what
- 52:20Speaker 1: the problem is. You got your little self a little
- 52:22Speaker 1: position at your job. Now you're trying to throw your
- 52:25Speaker 1: weight around if you if a person wants to get
- 52:27Speaker 1: their butt done, okay, Look do you see, avatar? The
- 52:31Speaker 1: people have makeup all on, they butt all on their
- 52:34Speaker 1: back and every where. Not you call them, you call
- 52:36Speaker 1: them and ask them to do your but don't call me.
- 52:38Speaker 1: I'm hanging up. Do not call me anymore. They are
- 52:41Speaker 1: makeup artists. What are you? Look? This conversation is over. Yeah,
- 52:45Speaker 1: it's over because you know what. Let me tell you something.
- 52:47Speaker 1: You do you know who you're talking to? Do you
- 52:49Speaker 1: know who you're talking to? Do you know who you're
- 52:51Speaker 1: talking to? You know who I'm talking to? I'm talking
- 52:54Speaker 1: to Brandy, But do Brandy know who Brandy talking to?
- 52:57Speaker 1: Clearly somebody who is ignorant. Okay, well let me tell
- 53:00Speaker 1: you who I am. This is nephew Tommy from the
- 53:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your
- 53:08Speaker 1: girlfriend Carmen. You're like, I'll get off the phone. I'll
- 53:15Speaker 1: get it. Do that. I hope nobody's listening. You just
- 53:22Speaker 1: made it. I got you good. I got you good
- 53:25Speaker 1: and good with the but yeah, for real, get you

- 53:43Speaker 1: your butt need makes up to what I'm saying. I
- 53:45Speaker 1: had no idea. Sometimes your butt need makes up to say.
- 53:50Speaker 1: If you're gonna have your butt out, have it made up? Yeah,
- 53:54Speaker 1: I don't go nowhere with your butt not made up?
- 53:56Speaker 1: How your butt made up? I'm the only one a
- 54:00Speaker 1: need butt makeup on this show. Ain't know everybody. Everybody

- 54:09Speaker 1: your buy It is a cool body behind me, passenger.
- 54:14Speaker 1: You want to put powder on your but to have
- 54:19Speaker 1: makeup on it? Though? Sure if I have thought about
- 54:23Speaker 1: painting lips on my on your butt? Yeah? For what? Man?
- 54:31Speaker 1: You know for that famous statement, you're don't do it.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I wanted it in a certain place because I don't
- 54:39Speaker 1: like it towards the center. I would won't mind off
- 54:45Speaker 1: to the side, be uncomfortable for me. If you like bottom,
- 54:50Speaker 1: what increases it? Okay? Um, so like you said earlier,

- 55:27Speaker 1: of nine eleven. We will never forget that. And now
- 55:30Speaker 1: she's here with the news update on the latest on
- 55:33Speaker 1: Hurricane Irma as well. For Sam. This is and Trip
- 55:36Speaker 1: with a special report on Hurricane Irma. Irma winds its
- 55:39Speaker 1: way north right now, it's about sixty miles north of Tampa,
- 55:43Speaker 1: and now Georgia Governor Nathan Deal is preparing. He's declared
- 55:46Speaker 1: a state of emergency for all of Georgia's one and
- 55:49Speaker 1: fifty nine counties. Of course, as Hurricane Irma continues its
- 55:52Speaker 1: wind surrept in soggy march, it all comes down to
- 55:55Speaker 1: the people, the residents like Lois Hernandez of Albany, Georgia,
- 55:59Speaker 1: who tells NPR that she awaits what Irma could do
- 56:01Speaker 1: to her town, but she says it nevertheless is what
- 56:04Speaker 1: it is start away, you know, is not gonna go away.
- 56:07Speaker 1: So you got to try to fix it again or
- 56:10Speaker 1: you find some little way around it. Meanwhile, the state
- 56:12Speaker 1: government at schools as far north as Atlanta are going
- 56:15Speaker 1: to be closed today and tomorrow. This is the first
- 56:17Speaker 1: time that the National Weather Service has declared a tropical
- 56:20Speaker 1: storm warning for Atlanta, and the governor is advising everyone
- 56:23Speaker 1: in the peach take to quote shelter in place as
- 56:26Speaker 1: much and as long as possible. The Georgia coast is
- 56:30Speaker 1: under a mandatory evacuation order. This has been especially report
- 56:33Speaker 1: on Hurricane Irma. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 56:37Speaker 1: All right, thank you for saying. You know, we're just
- 56:39Speaker 1: trying to keep everybody up to speed in all of
- 56:41Speaker 1: the areas that we broadcast and let you know we're
- 56:44Speaker 1: thinking about you. So y'all keep your head up, man,
- 56:47Speaker 1: keep praying, okay, and be smart. Come on, Tommy, all right,
- 56:51Speaker 1: big dog, buckle up, Hold on tight. We got it
- 56:53Speaker 1: for you. Here. It is the Strawberry letter, subject fifty
- 56:58Speaker 1: and falling. There's Stephen Shirley. I always hear you talking
- 57:02Speaker 1: about this fifty and fit. Well, I am fifty and falling.
- 57:06Speaker 1: How can I join your club? Anyways? I am a
- 57:10Speaker 1: fifty year old Hispanic female and I'm dating this thirty
- 57:13Speaker 1: three year old African American man and he wants me
- 57:15Speaker 1: to get breast implanted. He says he needs more to
- 57:18Speaker 1: grab onto. He even wants me to get a tummy tuck. Well,
- 57:22Speaker 1: what I don't understand is that he wants me to
- 57:24Speaker 1: do a lot of changing, but he won't marry me. Well,
- 57:27Speaker 1: I went to my friends, I had two secretly secretly
- 57:30Speaker 1: have behind his back, and they said that I'm way
- 57:33Speaker 1: too old for him, and then I need to leave
- 57:35Speaker 1: him alone. But he loves me and I love him,
- 57:38Speaker 1: so I don't care about what they say. I've raised
- 57:41Speaker 1: four boys and two men. Even though he's thirty three
- 57:44Speaker 1: and I am fifty. My boys ages seventeen and fifteen,
- 57:49Speaker 1: like him. We are all happy. Another thing is that
- 57:52Speaker 1: he won't take me out in public because he and
- 57:55Speaker 1: he is embarrassed to be seen with me. I bet
- 57:57Speaker 1: you want to know why he is embarrassed to be
- 57:59Speaker 1: seen with me. It is because he says that my
- 58:02Speaker 1: breast sag too much and that I am too old
- 58:04Speaker 1: and wrinkly. He won't let me go shopping. I feel
- 58:08Speaker 1: like a caged animal. He even wants me to have
- 58:11Speaker 1: his children. But what he can't seem to understand is
- 58:14Speaker 1: that I am fifty and there ain't no way, no
- 58:19Speaker 1: way I can have any more kids than what I
- 58:22Speaker 1: already got. I just want to have a man who
- 58:24Speaker 1: will let me go where I want to go and
- 58:26Speaker 1: a man who wants to marry me for me, I
- 58:29Speaker 1: don't want to change just for someone to marry me.
- 58:31Speaker 1: I just don't understand him. Also, in my culture, I
- 58:35Speaker 1: am not allowed to date younger men than me, men
- 58:38Speaker 1: younger than me and outside of my race. But I
- 58:41Speaker 1: don't care. Love is love and that's what I'm looking for. Love.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Please help me. Kisses fifty and falling. Dear fifty and falling, Um,
- 58:51Speaker 1: this letter is very confusing. Either this man loves you
- 58:54Speaker 1: or he doesn't love you. But but I'll start right
- 58:57Speaker 1: here to get uh to fifty and flies. What you've
- 59:00Speaker 1: been at, what you were asking about. It's about what
- 59:02Speaker 1: you eat and what you do. So you know you
- 59:04Speaker 1: can absolutely do this. Just cut back when you're eating,
- 59:07Speaker 1: get into the gym, walk, ride your bike, you know,
- 59:10Speaker 1: just get it moving if you wanna, uh, you know,
- 59:13Speaker 1: lose some weight and get in shape. At fifty, you
- 59:15Speaker 1: can do it. I mean, Steve has proven that for sure. Um.
- 59:19Speaker 1: But any changes you make, I gotta tell you this,
- 59:21Speaker 1: please make them for yourself and not because this man
- 59:24Speaker 1: is pressuring you. And really, if you want to get
- 59:27Speaker 1: down to it, this man is not your man. He
- 59:30Speaker 1: he doesn't love you. Um, he won't take you out.
- 59:34Speaker 1: He says, your breast sag and you're too old and wrinkly.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Please tell me where the love is in that and
- 59:40Speaker 1: the ultimate He won't let you go shopping. You feel
- 59:43Speaker 1: like a caged animal. Um, you know what you're looking
- 59:46Speaker 1: for is love. This is not love. If he really
- 59:49Speaker 1: loved you, you know, he would help you do these things,
- 59:52Speaker 1: or he would encourage you and support you, not uh
- 59:56Speaker 1: criticize you and talk down to you and all of
- 59:59Speaker 1: this stuff. And um, you know your friends are probably
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: right you should leave this man alone. And they see
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: more into it than you do because they're on the outside.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: They see how he treats you. They see that you're
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: not happy, even though you think you are. You know,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: relationships just really shouldn't be like this. They should be
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: about love and support. And I just don't see the
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: love in this letter at all. What you're looking for
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: his love, it's not with this man. So I suggest
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: you leave. Yeah, I am right now. I need to
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: read this letter again. You can read Steven Sherl. I
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: always hear you talking about this fifty and fift. Well,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I'm fifty and falling. How can I join your club. Anyways,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I'm fifty ye old his friend of female. I'm dating
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: his thirty three year old African American man, and he
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: wants me to get breast in plans, says it needs
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: more to grab onto and even wants me to get
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: a tummy tuble. But I don't understand is that he
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: wants me to do a lot of changing, but he
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: won't marry me. Well, I went to my friends I
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: had to secretly have behind his back, and they said
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I'm way too over him. I need to leave him alone.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: But he loves me and I love him, so I
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: don't care what they say. I raised four boys in
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: the minute, and even though he's thirty three and I'm
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: fit to my boys and fifteen like him, we are
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: all happy. Another thing is that he won't take me
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: out in public because he's embas to be seen with me.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I bet you want to know why it's evad to
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: be seen with me? Isn't because he says that my
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: breast sac so much and I'm old, too old and wrinkley.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: He won't let me go shopping. I feel like a
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: cage animal. He even wants me to have his children.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: But what he can't seem to understand is that I'm
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: fifty and there ain't no way I can have any
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: more kids. That's what I already got. I just want
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to have a man who will let me go where
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I want to go, and a man who wants to
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: marry me for me. I don't want to change just
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: for someone to marry me. I just don't understand him. Also,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: in my culture, I'm not allowed to date me and
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: younger than me and outside of my race. But I
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: don't care. Love is love, and that's when I'm looking
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: for love. Please help me. Kisses fifty and falling. You
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: should have changed the subject of his letter from fifty
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: and falling to fifty and totally confused. And now we
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: are confused. Your whole letter is a letter of contradiction.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: In my gout you, I am not allowed to date
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: men younger than me and outside my race where you
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: ain't in your culture, no mote in. I don't know
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: what Latino you are Hispanic female, but quit telling people
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you're Hispanic female because you're dating somebody younger than you
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: and out your race. Now, if that's in your culture,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: then you ain't in the culture. No modi, you are
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: a a lien or could you be another African American
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: and don't know it because you're dating somebody younger than
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: you and outside another race. So let's just get to
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: that part right there. Are you really as you say,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Hispanic or I thought the term now was Latino. I'm
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: a little confused right there. I don't know what to
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: call you. I don't know what you're doing today. You're
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: very confused. You either Bobby Cueing or you just roast
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: in the hall today. I don't really don't know what
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: you're doing on this blessed day. Bit confused. For when
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: I come back, I'll tell you how I feel about
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: your link in just a moment. Just had to cover
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: that ground. We'll be back with what I think is
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: really happened. You're listening, Steve. All right, Steve, let's go
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: with part two of your response to today's letter. The
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: refuge latino Hispanic woman who in her culture is not
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: allowed to date anyone younger or out of her race.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: She is not only dating a man younger, she's dating
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: an African American man, which now makes her be in
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: considerate of her culture. If that's true, you can make
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: up a lot of stuff about your culture that we
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: can't check on in our culture as black people, and
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: in the white culture too. You're not supposed to marry
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: nobody younger than you without your race. Those rules have
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: been out the windows for a bunch of years now.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I just want to inform you that we have been
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: mixing it up with each other for a long time now, hallo.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: So I just want you to know that that you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: know dad, how you feel about I don't have problem
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: with it, so I don't have a problem do it.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Do what you're gonna do to make sure it was real. Now, you, lady,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: who are fifty dating is thirty three year old man
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: who has nothing but issues with you totally. He don't
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: like the way your breast look. He don't like the
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: way your stomach look. He ain't don't take you nowhere
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: because you're too old and too wrinkly, will not be
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: seen in public with you. You went to your friends
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: about this, that you had to have secretly behind it
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: back because he don't live friends. They said that I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: am way too old for him and I need to
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: leave him alone. But he loves me and I love him,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: so I don't care about what they say, Okay, right, there.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, your friend are merely repeating what
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: he has already told me. You too old for him.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: That's what your friends say. Did not Mr African American
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: just tell you the same damn thing the other day?
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Didn't he just tell you that? So now how you
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: mad at your friends for just telling you what African
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: then already told Africa. I want just tell you Africa
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: because he ain't got no name, so his name is African.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: African controlled you. He don't like you because you're too old.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Your breasts said, you need to tell me too, and
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: it ain't gonna marry you. Now, you and your stupid
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: mind then said, but I want to marry him, but
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: I don't want to get a breast implant just for
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: somebody else. Okay, now hold on, help help help me.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I just want to change for someone who doesn't want
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: to marry her. I don't see nowhere in the letter
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: where he wants to marry you. Don't see you want
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: to marry him, and you think he hadn't already told you.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: He man you because you ain't gonna get no brush
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: job and a time it to him. Listen, if you
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: need to be pushed out in the top and pushed
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: in in the middle. You got a lot of stuff
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: going some ways that nature ain't going right now. And
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: on top of that, you fifty, and he didn't lie
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: to you and told you he wants to have your kids.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: He wants you to have his kids, but you said
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: you fifty, and there ain't no way I can have
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: any more kids than I already got. You just want
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: a man who will let me go where you want
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: to go on, a man who wants to marry me
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: for me. I don't want to change just for someone
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: to marry me. Well, listen to this breast implants ten
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: thousand tummy tuck sat in the firehood. Whoa leaving your
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: breast alone and let your good hangout fars? He won't
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: to price. You ain't got to sit up here and
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: deal with tips. I don't know where you're going to
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: get all this money from for all these adjustments that
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: you obviously don't want to get. And when you get them,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: I would strongly suggest, when you get your new breasts
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: and your tummy tuck, take that new look and get
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: yourself a new man and he won't let you go shopping.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Now you're gonna have all these clothes in that it
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: ain't gonna fit no more because you got bigger chest
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: and now your stomach gone. He won't let you go shopping.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Now you're definitely be at the hot walking around kitchen,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: cooking neck and he won't let you go nowhere. And
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: you still ain't did nothing about the marink. Oh no him?
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: All right, thank you guys. We gotta go, you know

- 1:10:03Speaker 1: the funding for the funding keep and he said this,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: So that's two things in a row. If you're keeping counts,

- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I've been knowing Floyd a long time and I'm really
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: tight with his with his with his guy that runs

- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Hey man, this guy sitting here beat Rocking Marcianos record
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: fifty and old undefeated. That's gotta be an incredible It's
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: another fighter. I mean, you have fighters that's won more
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: than fifty fights, like um the legend. Who else just
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: che at one particular time. I think he won like
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: seventy straight fights. But in the seventies straight fights. You
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: know a lot of the guys that he fought. We
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: don't know who he's fought in those seventy fights, but
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: he was undefeated, and he's a legend, you know, um
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: throughout boxing, throughout you know, because I don't really want
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: to down any fighter that's that has accomplished more than
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: I've accomplished, you know, in the sport of boxing. But

- 1:14:13Speaker 1: the fight. We had a beef and we settled our beef.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: One of my greatest lines. You were fighting against the
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: ropes while I was sitting, Uh, I said, knock his
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: ass out over here, Floyd, so I can see it, Steve.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: All right, y'all, So here's the deal. Who tune in

- 1:14:58Speaker 1: He was clean, but that only come in that side,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: they don't. I just wanted to ask you about Floyd
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: when he came out. I mean, I noticed how the
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: audience went crazy. Now were they prompted or was that?

- 1:15:50Speaker 1: he's spending it too. I mean, he has a brilliant
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: acume for business. I don't like you told me that,

- 1:16:07Speaker 1: have that manchy money. Yeah he got my money us. Yeah,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: so he said little together, but it sounds like he
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: right though. Great business ahead. You were saying, he's a
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: great business man and it surrounded himself with great business people.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Do not worry about Floyd money Mayweather being broke. Forget
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the rumors that he owed the government. No, man, this
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: dude pays his text. The dude behind him is brilliant.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: It's brilliant. And that that little dude got plenty of
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: that money. That's a Harvard grad. I believe who Mr Heyman. Yeah,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I'm not allowed to comment on that. You can't say
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: your say that. All I know that shook his hand
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: back to the back to the group. I had Junior
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: in the world. He just was. I had Junie Steele
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: talking about let me tell you something, Junior was in
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: deep water. You have to finish this story later, Steve,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: because we have to go to break. Don't forget to

- 1:17:55Speaker 1: you've gotten with your family. You're into safe place right now,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: you know. And and you know, we talk a lot
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: about the rescue workers. Steve dedicated the show to them,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: but they have families too, you know, the rescue workers
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: have to take care of their families as well. So
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: our prayers and our thoughts are with you and those

- 1:18:42Speaker 1: been praying all right. Well, without further ado, we'll bring
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: this in in now with our Hurricane Irma update. Hurricane
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Irma now moving north of Florida's Gulf Coast. It's now
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: barely holding onto hurricane status has now been down grade
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to a category one storm. As Irma winds its way north, now,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Georgia go Nathan Deal has declared the state of emergency
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: in the Peach State. All of George's counties, by the way,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: are now considered under a state of emergency, and the
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: whole coastline of Georgia is under a mandatory evacuation. Also,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: as Irman moves on, she's left the streets in Miami
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: looking like rivers. Tornadoes are now sided on the Sunshine
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: States Atlantic coast. Things got so bad in Miami, Dade
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: County and Tampa with the weekend. Police were pulled off
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: the streets because of the dangerous winds and the worry
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: was they might not be able to respond to calls
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: for help. However, the Governor Scott says, folks can put
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: that thought right out of their minds. Everyone's family matters,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: every life matters. Please know that we will do anything
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: and everything to protect and rescue every person, and we
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: will spare no expense in doing it. This has been
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: a special report on Hurricane Irma. Now back to the
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, Now before we
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: went to Missannu, you were telling us about Junior at
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the fight. Yeah, you're introduced think Junior to bawling. Now
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: we get it. We get a junior. Go ahead, take
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: it away. I took Junior. I gave him the whole experience. Okay,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: first of all, can you just tell him that you
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: let me fly on the private gent to start from
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: the beginning? Started writing there out Steve, I was, oh,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: you just tell him I was on the private flight.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: First of all, the flight was scheduled to leave at noon.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I like to make mention I had been there since team.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Let me Junior was there too, I said, Junior, He said, Uncle,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: ain't we gotta be here for the flight? I said,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Now you're Junior's Junior, No, you don't, I said, Junior,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: you don't. There's no security check, jor you gotta take
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: your shoes off. You ain't gotta put your stuff on
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: this Canada what we can't do none of that. So
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Junior gets up on there. So then we land. That's
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: where it started, well it started befolded on the plane
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: the whole term. He just how can what was he
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: talking about? I attended, how long you've been doing this?
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: What is that perfume? We shoot? You? Just come on, man,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: someone's a short flight, and we wasn't. It wasn't at
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: the pointy five minutes flight. So we land and that's
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: when I you know, I've gotten, you know, accustomed to
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: the way I travel. Junior ain't. As soon as we landed,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: all I heard was I'll hell, I'm now. So the
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: MGM sends a couple of cars to get us. Okay,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: that was nice. Uh nah nah, no, that's not nice.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: This is bowling. I look out the window. I just said,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: oh hell now, No they didn't, No, they did. I
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: look out the window. It's so badly out there with
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: a cat. I escalated to pick you up, man, I'll
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: be going down to enterprise. I got to climb in
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: a kissul Well. They got a new Bentley out called
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: the Most Saint, and they have an extended wheelbase on it.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: So they send they send one of them, and they
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: used to seeing fantom fantoms was last year they send
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: fantoms or ghost which they send one of those two
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: out to get you. So they got to Bidley mos say,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: Junior got in there and with just just Junior if
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: you don't quick pushing, But what I'm supposed to do? Junior?
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: That Junior just stopped touching all the stuff in here.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: But they got ice in here. Uncle, Yeah, he's an
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: all valid question. Sure right there, watched the here, Junior,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I'd have seen this. I gotta look, Uncle, who drinks these? Back?
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: If you want to drink, you can get a drink.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: I can drink this. I'll tell when we pulled up
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: at the hotel. Now, I'd rather you tell him. So
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: we pull up at the hotel, which is not and
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: there are no signs. Junior lost his damn mind again. Yeah,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: because see then now we're into place I ain't even
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: know existed in Vagas first of all, and it ain't
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: a whole lot of crowd up here. Ain't no lying nothing.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: You ain't checking in. You're supposed to go straight in.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: They have the lady with your drinks on it. You
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: just take a drink. And they got a lady over
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: there with some drinks waiting on it. You're supposed to
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: take tie. Were all over there getting the drinks in
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: the toe. Ain't Oh damn, Junior. I'm at the back
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: of the car trying to get Junior. Get your junior.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: They got all that. I gotta get my bass, Junior.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: You don't, Junior. They know who in this car. Now
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: see me being a Marriott man, I got to go
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: back over there and tell him that one and that
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: was is just looking at Junie like, sir, we have it.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: Please are join your drink. Came over and said to
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: me cal who said jor get your or dance over
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: here and get you a drink and follow Harve. And
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: he talked to his teeth and quit embarrassing that I am.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I really already all right. We'll be back and we're
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: gonna cover more of Hurricane Irma when we come back.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Did we know
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you and your wife Marjorie donated to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Beyonce, A,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: Janet Jackson, Kevin Hart, and Chris Paul. We're all in

- 1:25:51Speaker 1: celebration of survival. Family you s Janson. I just want
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: to see I love Africa all right. True words have
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: never been spoken. Your health, your family, your life. Also
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: on Friday, Janet Jackson arrived in Houston, UH to visit
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: with Hurricane Harvey evacuees at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Yeah.
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: Janet dedicated her concert at the Toyota Center on Saturday
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: to the victims of Harvey. She will donate a portion
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: of the proceeds to the local flood relief efforts. Janet's
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: post baby body is looking real good. Yeah, yes, let's
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: hear it. Side side note, My wife went to the
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: show and said, Janet Jackson is she's deal, got it
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: and still off the chain. Oh good, that's good to hear.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: That's good to hear. I love it. Took my damn
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: y You could have drove your own damn car. That's all,
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: but go here. I'm sorry, that's just it. Sat right now.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: Hey man, welcome to mad life. Yep. Should have took
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: her own damn car. Was she gonna drive to the concert?
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Why wouldn't you take a road road? Just to me? Yeah,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: I mean, Tommy, come on, man, you had two of them,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: you wouldn't have that problem. What'd you say, Junior? I
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: guess him off, I'm ready for the fire off. I said,
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: what do you say? I missed it? Yeah, I said, Tommy,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: if you had two of them, you wouldn't have that problem.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: I'm not buying boy too. I'm witholds on it. By
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: that way, where you drive still at home? Big dog guy? Like,
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: I mean you got dog three or four? I mean
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: got three forms and ghosts and we have not right now,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: let's just let's just stay on what you ain't, but
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: don't ask you. Junior said you need another one. I'm
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: not buying another. I want to ask you this though.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: Have you have you seen Floyd's playing? Why does your
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: Why is your car better than your wife? Well, look
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: at the time, we've got to go, we're not going
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: to discuss it. I bought her the car she wanted. No,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: she got a nice car. Okay, some we went about
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: the one you wanted and she said, oh, I didn't
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: know we were spending that much because her car don't
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: call as much as your all right, we gotta go.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: We we really do have to. We'll be back in
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: to you. I didn't say it out loud. Huh. You're
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, don't forget
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: to tune in today to Steve's talk show. Is brand
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: new talk show set in week of the brand new show.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: It's simply called Steve And to whoo out of Think Gate.
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: You have a great guest today, Steve the one and
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: only Floyd Money may Weather. He doesn't do a lot
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: of talk shows, so this is pretty special. Right here.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: Huh No, this is big. He hasn't done anything since
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: the fight. Yeah, you know that's good. But this is
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: the second week of the top show week too. How
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: you feel mean? You know what? Look, you know, to
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: be honest with you know, we've got to get these
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: numbers up. But we've also understand we haven't been getting
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: numbers out of Florida because nobody's sitting down and watching
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: Enjoyable TV. There's no numbers out of southern e uh Texas,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: which is a huge market falls and so you know,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: we understand it. But every day the numbers are getting higher,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: so that the business part of it is coming together.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: The creative part is getting better and better every single day.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: So I'm very very happy. Exc anything is that a
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: personalized part of the Team Championships team over there, I
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: just said, thank you. I didn't have been taken all
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: of He still got to go do the show. He's
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: still in front of the real They don't know we're
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: back there. They don't know. They have no idea because
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: you move inward a lot over there, and I think
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: it becomes ritual that Stein like to come by and
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: give us a really coming gold team. It ain't nothing.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: It ain't none of that every time, but it shocks
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: to people who don't know. You don't see if you're
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: off the quiry now, I don't you know, I've learned
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: after the memo, I don't come so you don't comment
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: on the staff anymore. I ain't said it, damn. One
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: of the co workers said, is he upset with that?
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Love you okay, Junior? Ain't. Nobody said that. Don't start
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: that round. Don't be a staff now, you know. Uh,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: like a lot of the people are a lot they're
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: just surprised because a lot of people actually thought the
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: memo was me. But what they didn't know was I
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: really just wrote the memo for two people, you know,
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: and I joked with people. I talked to people all
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: the time. You know. They just so you have a
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: new staff, a lot of new staff members, and oh
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Let me tell you something.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: That person that took the memo to the press, the
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: memo had been out for a year, took it to
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: the press, found out he wasn't getting the job in
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: l A. So he took it over to the to
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: the guy feeder, so he was better. It was that
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: that's feet has always been fair to me, so I
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: couldn't say nothing. You know, the guy took it over
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: there and put the wrong angle on it to spin
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: like this is how he treats his staff. Oh man,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: get on out of here, dude. So naturally the media
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: is going to eat that up. No, no, they didn't. No, no,
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: they ain't that up. They eat me. That's a different
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: type of chewing. Media eating something else up. It tastes
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: when they chewing on you. It's really different. That's really
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: disheartening sometimes. Man, I'm sure it is, Steve. I'm sure
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: it is. Uh And we'll be back to wrap up
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: the show with just one more thing. You're listening to
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, Hurricane Irma roared
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: into Florida. The winds, the rains, the tornadoes. We are
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: praying for our listeners down in Florida and West Palm
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: Beach and Tampa Fort Myers in Jacksonville. Did I get
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: him on Carla surrounding areas And there's a lot of
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Tallahassee around. There's a lot of a lot of cities
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: forget Yeah, alright, man, it really really is. Now, what's
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: the difference between Well Harvey and let's say Hurricane Irma. Now, um,
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: Harvey was a system that just stalled. So when you
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: usually with a hurricane, it comes, you know, you see
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: the wind, the rain, and then it moves on, you know,
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: it does this, does its thing, and then it kind
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: of moves on to the next area where Harvey just
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: stalled over Houston. And that's why we got forty of rain.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: That's why we're just unbelievable because it's just raining. And
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: what what what we hope Irma does. It's it's still
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: gonna be destructive. It's still gonna be devastating because right
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: now it's the winds that right now, you know it.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: Look there's a Category A forward it hits, you know.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: So the thing we got to remember is this is
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: very devastating and hopefully it doesn't linger. You know, hopefully
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: it will as it moves up and just it will
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: eventually just I mean it will, but you know, fizzle out.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: But you know in Miami yesterday when Gus was up
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: to a hundred miles an hour in Miami yesterday and
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: it hit, and I mean, man, there's some devastation. Man,
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: there's some people out there, little loss of power, you know,

- 1:36:17Speaker 1: and make a donate to Tim Duncan's Hurricane Irma relief
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: efforts for the Caribbean, for the Virgin Islands. We have
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: to take care of our neighbors there as well. You
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: know what we gotta understand is the Keys, the Florida
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: Keys is a part of us. You know. The Hurricane
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Irma really slam the Key West Florida Keys. The reports
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: in USA today everything is underwater. I mean everything. That's
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: the headline. Everything is underwater, I mean everything. They had
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: fifteen foot surges. You know, the Keys is really small,
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: really narrow. Man. There was one road in one rolled out.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: It's beautiful down there when it's beautiful, but they took
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: a tough One man slammed into the Florida Keys on
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: Sunday morning as a category four storm down there, uprooting
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: and snapping off trees, uh, flinging waterfront, filling waterfront streets
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: with a surgeon seawater, knocking out power. And they really
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: concerned that Ama uh sustained winds of a hundred and
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: thirty miles an hour down Can you can you leave?
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: I just can't. I can't imagine. And these reporters that
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: are down there bringing us the news, I mean, how
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: brave are they? They're like in the midst of everything.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: But let me tell you the danger that they're concerned about.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: They're talking about these winds at hundred thirty that a
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: series of like what they're calling low lying sandbar islands
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: that's falling off the southern tip of Florida, that it
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: will come and just wipe out so much of the key.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: That's just wow. That was tough, man. And see, you
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: know you haven't heard from anybody down there because there's
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: nobody down there people because it's completely underwater. Wow. And
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: you know we're we're not. It hasn't affected us like
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: it has them down there. I mean, Carla, Tommy and
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: of course Junior are from Houston, but we're not down there,
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: So we have a tendency sometimes to go through our
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: daily lives. But you know, while you're going through your
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: daily lives, say a prayer. I mean, you know that's all.
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: You just say a prayer for the people down and
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: we definitely know what they went through because we just
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: went through, so we definitely and you're still rebuilding from
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: hard you know, Harvey wasn't done before IRMA came and
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: you know, but yeah, just say a prayer. Do what
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: you can do because this is very very serious, right,
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: Donate what you can, like you said earlier, with the donation,
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: whatever your budget is, Steve. You know, we talked about
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: celebrities giving back, but you gotta do what you can
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: and volunteer, like Jay Anthony Brown said, if you can't
