- 0:19Speaker 1: true good it be steh, listen to moving together for
- 0:26Speaker 1: st Please don't you join join you doing me. You
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta use that turn you gotta turn to turn them out, turning,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out, then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your baby. Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shall well a good minded everybody you're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me naw one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, Yeah, I got one. And I
- 2:14Speaker 1: got a message for you today too. Something I was
- 2:16Speaker 1: thinking about that might help you along the way. Um.
- 2:20Speaker 1: The thing I appreciate about so many people that I
- 2:24Speaker 1: learned from Bishop Jake's, Kenneth Olmer, Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin, um,
- 2:36Speaker 1: Joel Oldstein. I can't tell you and and and and
- 2:41Speaker 1: many more than that. I mean, you know, I'm I'm
- 2:43Speaker 1: naming you know, famous people because because I know you
- 2:49Speaker 1: know these names. But my father, who you never met,
- 2:54Speaker 1: was so great in my development as a man. But
- 2:58Speaker 1: my mother thought him, said my mother was. She taught
- 3:05Speaker 1: me about faith. She gave me the things I needed
- 3:08Speaker 1: to know about what I speak about every day. That
- 3:12Speaker 1: basis was given to me by her. So it's so
- 3:14Speaker 1: many great people. But here's here's the thing that I've
- 3:18Speaker 1: had to learn, and that is that if God got
- 3:23Speaker 1: you through it, it's done. Move on. See, I can't
- 3:30Speaker 1: tell you how many people don't really pay attention to
- 3:32Speaker 1: that close enough. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Move on. How many times have we as people allowed
- 3:45Speaker 1: God to get us through something, get us beyond something,
- 3:49Speaker 1: get us over something, get us through something, and then
- 3:53Speaker 1: even after it's completion, we sit there and we dwell
- 3:57Speaker 1: on it, and we dwell on it to the point
- 4:00Speaker 1: where it becomes an anchor around our neck and we
- 4:03Speaker 1: can't move on. We can't move on because we just
- 4:10Speaker 1: won't let it go. It's done. If God got you
- 4:15Speaker 1: through it, it's done. Move on. Stop harboring on the pass.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Stop hanging on to every time you fail, Stop hanging
- 4:25Speaker 1: on to every time you slipped up and messed up.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Stop hanging on to every time you didn't get it right.
- 4:32Speaker 1: So what everybody makes mistakes, everybody messes up, Everybody don't
- 4:38Speaker 1: get it right. Everybody is struggling with something. You ain't
- 4:43Speaker 1: the only one, but my God, Man, if God got
- 4:48Speaker 1: you through it, it's done. Move on you hanging on
- 4:53Speaker 1: to it, for that's why He got it, got you
- 4:55Speaker 1: through it, so you can move on from it. See
- 4:59Speaker 1: a lot of things that happened to us that we
- 5:02Speaker 1: think are negative or bad experience. These are lessons in
- 5:06Speaker 1: what in what not to do? This is a this
- 5:12Speaker 1: a this is a this is a way to have
- 5:15Speaker 1: a now or bearing on. Look out for it the
- 5:18Speaker 1: next time. You know you you you you, you got
- 5:23Speaker 1: me once, you can't get me again. I'm telling you, man,
- 5:27Speaker 1: if God got you through it, it's done. Move on.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You have got to move on. I use this analogy
- 5:35Speaker 1: all the time. I'm gonna add a little bit to it.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Bishop Jakes told me you cannot drive your car looking
- 5:45Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror. I was talking to a
- 5:50Speaker 1: young singer yesterday who I ran up into and man,
- 5:54Speaker 1: let me tell you something. This this this analogy or
- 5:59Speaker 1: I told him. We had about twenty minute conversational. See
- 6:03Speaker 1: you know what your rearview mirror is actually for in
- 6:05Speaker 1: your car? I was just tripping on this one day.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Actually Your rearview mirror is designed, and this is what
- 6:15Speaker 1: I use it for. After I pass a car and
- 6:20Speaker 1: I want to merge into that lane or I want
- 6:24Speaker 1: to make another move, I look up in the rearview mirror,
- 6:31Speaker 1: and all I use it for it shows me that
- 6:34Speaker 1: I've gotten past it. I've gotten past the vehicle I
- 6:38Speaker 1: was passing, and I got enough room now clear to
- 6:41Speaker 1: make my next move. That's what I used my rearview
- 6:45Speaker 1: mirror for. I use my rearview mirror to just glance
- 6:49Speaker 1: up every now and then to see what's coming up
- 6:51Speaker 1: on me. That's all I use it for. The rearview
- 6:57Speaker 1: mirror when you're passing through something. Listen to me real
- 7:01Speaker 1: close now. Your rearview mirror on your car is after
- 7:06Speaker 1: you're passing something or you're passing by something, you can
- 7:10Speaker 1: look up in the rearview mirror and it lets you
- 7:13Speaker 1: know you're pasted it, You're beyond it. It's clear. Now
- 7:18Speaker 1: it's in the past. You no longer have to deal
- 7:21Speaker 1: with it as the car that was in front of
- 7:24Speaker 1: you blocking your way. You have passed it. You look
- 7:28Speaker 1: up in the mirror. You've cleared it. Now. If you
- 7:31Speaker 1: want to switch lanes, you could slide on over. You
- 7:35Speaker 1: got room. But that rearview mirror also lets you see
- 7:38Speaker 1: if anything is coming up on you, and you just
- 7:41Speaker 1: need to glance because if you're moving forward, ain't a
- 7:45Speaker 1: whole lot can come up on you. You're just glancing
- 7:47Speaker 1: every now and then, and it reminds you that you
- 7:50Speaker 1: got through something and you got beyond something. That's what
- 7:54Speaker 1: the rearview mirror for. Now, let's talk about that winshield.
- 7:58Speaker 1: While you think that when you're so big on your car,
- 8:03Speaker 1: that's the biggest window on your car. You know why
- 8:07Speaker 1: the windshield so big because it's where you're going. Because
- 8:13Speaker 1: even the automobile makers want you to have a wide
- 8:16Speaker 1: view of where you're going so you can see what's
- 8:20Speaker 1: up ahead. They put lights on the card night so
- 8:23Speaker 1: you can have night vision and see what's up ahead.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But you can, oh, man, see not? Why is that look?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Think about that now? For I move forward with this one.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Think about that windshield, Man, why is that windshield so
- 8:37Speaker 1: big so you can see where you're going? It's way
- 8:41Speaker 1: more important where you're going than where you're being, don't
- 8:45Speaker 1: you see that. That's why the rear view mirrors so small,
- 8:49Speaker 1: because it is nowhere in there, as important as it
- 8:51Speaker 1: is as to where you're going, why you being just
- 8:55Speaker 1: allows you to take a glance so you can make
- 8:57Speaker 1: sure you clear it, so you can see if it's
- 8:59Speaker 1: room enough for you to make your next move, so
- 9:02Speaker 1: you can know that you've gone through it and go
- 9:04Speaker 1: head on about your business. But that windshield, that windshield
- 9:08Speaker 1: is for vision a man without a dream of visions
- 9:11Speaker 1: your parish. That windshield is for somebody going somewhere. That
- 9:16Speaker 1: windshield is for somebody else that trying to make another move.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna go right, I'm on left. I'm gonna get
- 9:21Speaker 1: off on this exit. I'm gonna take this D two.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna handle it signed as a new route. There's
- 9:26Speaker 1: only so many miles left to go. That's what the
- 9:29Speaker 1: windshield got. Let me tell you something, man, when you
- 9:31Speaker 1: see a mile sign, you're driving on the freeway, you're
- 9:34Speaker 1: on the interstate, and you let's say you're driving to
- 9:36Speaker 1: a particular city and you see a sign that says
- 9:39Speaker 1: that city is thirty eight, one hundred and thirty eight
- 9:42Speaker 1: miles away. That lets you know where you're going and
- 9:45Speaker 1: you're on the right path. Now, if you keep looking
- 9:49Speaker 1: in the rearview mirror. You'll never know how close you are.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You'll never know because you're driving your car. Look in
- 9:58Speaker 1: the review mirror. You all on the shoulder. You hear
- 10:00Speaker 1: them rocks up under your car. You'd scared yourself to
- 10:03Speaker 1: death because you know why, because you keep looking in
- 10:05Speaker 1: the rearview mirror. Get out the rear view mirror. If
- 10:09Speaker 1: God got you through, it is done. Move on? So
- 10:13Speaker 1: what he so what? He don't love you know more?
- 10:19Speaker 1: And man, let's move on. If God got you through,
- 10:23Speaker 1: it's done. Move on. God got something for you. If
- 10:27Speaker 1: you get out your rear view mirror and get up
- 10:29Speaker 1: in that windshield. God's got something for your upp ahead.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But you can't see what's up ahead because you in
- 10:35Speaker 1: that rearview mirror. If God got you through, it is done.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Let's move on. Come on, y'all, don't let the pass
- 10:43Speaker 1: beat you up. That's the ingredients in the cake. You
- 10:46Speaker 1: haven't made that already. That's done. Let's go God, look
- 10:49Speaker 1: in the windshield, see what God mobble got something new
- 10:52Speaker 1: for you. If you get out the rearview mirror and look,
- 10:54Speaker 1: open up your eyes and see. All right, let's go. Today.

- 24:04Speaker 1: chair with your with your private part. Oh, come on safe,
- 24:09Speaker 1: it's I mean then I'm a professional man. I've been
- 24:11Speaker 1: doing this fifteen years bro right right. I don't think
- 24:13Speaker 1: it's anything deliberate, man. I think you just do it
- 24:17Speaker 1: unconsciously man, because you know you be leaning over on
- 24:19Speaker 1: the chair cutting and I think you don't realize you
- 24:22Speaker 1: know you be turning the chair with your private part
- 24:25Speaker 1: instead of doing it with your hand. Man, And see,
- 24:28Speaker 1: my hand got caught out there, and I saw it
- 24:30Speaker 1: out the corner of my eyes. I saw your private
- 24:32Speaker 1: part coming towards my hand. I moved it just in time.
- 24:36Speaker 1: You understand, but not see, Dennis, I'm not understanding something.
- 24:40Speaker 1: But because I don't, I don't. We don't operate like that. Mind, yes,

- 29:51Speaker 1: Morning Show and Entertainment News. Eric Holder, the suspect and
- 29:57Speaker 1: the killing of rapper Nipsey Hustle was a rested yesterday
- 30:01Speaker 1: in LA. He was in the LA suburb of Bellflower
- 30:04Speaker 1: and now being held without bond, ending a two day
- 30:08Speaker 1: man hunt. The arrest came after a woman who authorities
- 30:12Speaker 1: alleged was holders getaway driver, turned herself in. She was
- 30:16Speaker 1: later released without being arrested as she maintained that she
- 30:19Speaker 1: was unaware that Eric Holders shot Nipsey Hustle when he
- 30:22Speaker 1: got into the car on Sunday. Wow. Wow, wow, that's
- 30:28Speaker 1: crazy right here. I mean, you know that could be true.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I don't know. Hum that that they got to shoot
- 30:38Speaker 1: was released, Yeah, they got I think he's captured. Yeah. Yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 1: they would have had to have some verifiable facts of that.
- 30:46Speaker 1: And so that's that's what we've got to shoot. And
- 30:50Speaker 1: such a such a such a reason. I saw the
- 30:52Speaker 1: picture of this guy. Uh what yeah, yeah, why why? What? Man?
- 31:00Speaker 1: For what? Now? Brother? Your life gone to But somebody
- 31:07Speaker 1: can come visit you though, m the brother's life you
- 31:12Speaker 1: took senselessly for no damn reason. Now, because you can't
- 31:17Speaker 1: give a reason good enough for that. You're inconsiderate, man, thoughtless,
- 31:26Speaker 1: no regard for human life. Man, I'm just telling you
- 31:29Speaker 1: what we've become. It's not it's not right. It's not right.
- 31:34Speaker 1: You know. We've got to find another way to settle disputes. Yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 1: we gotta get some of these guns off these streets.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah. It's a little free country we've got.
- 31:46Speaker 1: We're so free. We lead the world and violence, deaths
- 31:50Speaker 1: by guns, gun violence, crime, prison inmates, and we ain't
- 31:56Speaker 1: know where near the biggest country. We'll see you got
- 32:00Speaker 1: a press conference on Tuesday afternoon. LAPD says they don't
- 32:03Speaker 1: believe the murder was gang related, even though the suspect
- 32:06Speaker 1: is believed to be a gang member. They believe it
- 32:09Speaker 1: was more of a personal dispute between the two men.
- 32:13Speaker 1: What dispute? What's what's the personal dispute that was worth
- 32:19Speaker 1: someone losing your life, killing him, shooting him in a
- 32:23Speaker 1: shot nobody? Come on, Yeah, that's right, Sue, Because from
- 32:27Speaker 1: what I understand it was, it was real stupid. I
- 32:30Speaker 1: don't want to repeat what I heard because I don't want,
- 32:33Speaker 1: you know, to be out here one of them people
- 32:34Speaker 1: that ain't got the fact straight. But what I heard happened,
- 32:37Speaker 1: it's ridiculous. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. As a matter of fact.
- 32:41Speaker 1: No matter what out here gonna be ridiculous to me.
- 32:44Speaker 1: So that's right, Sue doesn't matter nothing, all right, Um,
- 32:50Speaker 1: we're gonna move on. In other entertainment news, Now these
- 32:54Speaker 1: reports are true, Wendy Williams and her husband Kevin Hunter
- 32:58Speaker 1: may be separated after all. What yeah, yeah, reports, yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 1: shut up, yeah, reports about their marriage over the years.
- 33:07Speaker 1: It's been rocky. They're nothing new. But the alleged revelation
- 33:10Speaker 1: of Hunter's mistress giving birth to his child, well that
- 33:15Speaker 1: could be the last straw in this marriage. Yes, yeah,
- 33:18Speaker 1: this is according to page six, they're laying the groundwork
- 33:22Speaker 1: to determine how a separation would work, because Kevin is
- 33:25Speaker 1: when Wendy's manager, don't forget, and both are partners and
- 33:29Speaker 1: Wendy Williams and both are partners. Both are partners in
- 33:34Speaker 1: Wendy Williams productions. And would you say tell me how
- 33:38Speaker 1: he seemed to be I guess taking care of the busy? Yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 1: how she doing? Yeah, it's really sad, it is. It's
- 33:47Speaker 1: the baby. Yeah, innocent innocent baby. Yeah right again, they're
- 33:54Speaker 1: both partners and Wendy Williams Productions and Wendy um still
- 33:58Speaker 1: loves Kevin. But her health, her health is at stake here,
- 34:02Speaker 1: So all right, Steve, it is it's time for today's headlines.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, miss a and triup. Thank you very
- 34:11Speaker 1: much everybody, and this is a trip with the news. Okay.
- 34:13Speaker 1: President Trump has been threatening, you know, to close the
- 34:16Speaker 1: nation's entire southern border, despite warnings from some members of
- 34:19Speaker 1: his own party that that would move have an adverse
- 34:21Speaker 1: effect on the US economy. Well, the President is now
- 34:24Speaker 1: acknowledging that closing the Mexican border would stop the movement
- 34:27Speaker 1: of goods as well as people. However, his position still
- 34:30Speaker 1: seems to be anyway at this point that it's more
- 34:32Speaker 1: important to seal US up. To me, trading is very important,
- 34:36Speaker 1: the borders are very important, but security is what is
- 34:39Speaker 1: most important to me. I have to have security. But
- 34:41Speaker 1: Trump could still change his mind. He's a scheduled to
- 34:43Speaker 1: visical Exco, California on Friday to tour the border. Actor
- 34:48Speaker 1: Solica Milano and Megan McCain are both offering their support
- 34:51Speaker 1: to Joe Biden, who now stands accused by four women
- 34:53Speaker 1: of inappropriate behavior. One woman says Biden kissed her on
- 34:56Speaker 1: the back of her head, the other says Biden touched
- 34:59Speaker 1: the end of her nose. None of the women say
- 35:01Speaker 1: the former Vice president's actions felt sexual. Milano, who helped
- 35:05Speaker 1: kick off and kickstart the Me Too movement with Toronto Burke,
- 35:08Speaker 1: tweets a quote, I'm proud to call Joe Biden a friend.
- 35:11Speaker 1: He's been a leader and a champion of fighting violence
- 35:13Speaker 1: against women for many years. Milano adds at Biden as
- 35:16Speaker 1: a warm and generous individual and how he and former
- 35:19Speaker 1: President Obama launched a movement in twenty fourteen to try
- 35:23Speaker 1: to eradicate sexual assault. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also supports
- 35:26Speaker 1: mister Biden, but she's got a little advice for him.
- 35:29Speaker 1: People's face is important to them, and what's important is
- 35:33Speaker 1: how they receive it, not necessarily how you've intended it.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Donald Trump says it looks like some Biden's fellow Democrats
- 35:39Speaker 1: are trying to tank his possible presidential run. That's what
- 35:41Speaker 1: Donald Trump says. The House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to
- 35:45Speaker 1: vote today on whether to issue subpoenas to see the
- 35:47Speaker 1: full Muller report on Russian involvement in the twenty sixteen election.
- 35:51Speaker 1: LA police say they have the guy that they were
- 35:53Speaker 1: looking for for murdering Nipsey Hustle and custody. Authorities say
- 35:56Speaker 1: that after an intensive to day manhunt, twenty nine year
- 35:59Speaker 1: old air Cold was arrested in a place called bell Flower,
- 36:02Speaker 1: and that the arrest came after the woman, who officials
- 36:04Speaker 1: think was his good getaway driver, turned to herself in
- 36:08Speaker 1: copse holder gott into some kind of an argument of
- 36:10Speaker 1: a personal nature with the well like Nipsey Hustle on
- 36:12Speaker 1: Sunday afternoon, that he left the scene, and that he
- 36:15Speaker 1: came back and shot the rapper and community activists two deaths.
- 36:19Speaker 1: The city Chicago has elected a new mayor. She's both
- 36:21Speaker 1: the first black female and the first openly gay person
- 36:24Speaker 1: to head up the nation's third largest city. She is
- 36:27Speaker 1: a former federal prosecutor, Laurie Lightfoot, and she will join
- 36:31Speaker 1: a seven other black females who are running of various
- 36:34Speaker 1: cities including Atlanta and New Orleans. And finally, today is
- 36:37Speaker 1: don't go to work Day, So folks, this song is
- 36:39Speaker 1: for you, maybe at this job and shoving now back
- 36:45Speaker 1: to the Steve Arby Morna show you're listening too. As
- 36:51Speaker 1: we all know, actress Lauren London is dealing with a
- 36:53Speaker 1: tremendous loss, and she broke her silence yesterday as she
- 36:57Speaker 1: posted a heartfelt tribute to Nipsey so on Instagram. She says,
- 37:02Speaker 1: I am completely lost. I've lost my best friend, my sanctuary,
- 37:07Speaker 1: my protector, my soul. I'm lost without you. We are
- 37:12Speaker 1: lost without Ubait. I have no words. Lauren had been
- 37:16Speaker 1: dating Nipsey for several years and they share a son together.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Earlier this year, they did a really really cute, really
- 37:23Speaker 1: fly Steve photoshoot for GQ magazine. Yeah, it's just really nice. Um.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Nipsey's murder suspect, Eric Holder. Eric Holder was taken into
- 37:33Speaker 1: police custody Tuesday afternoon. He's being held without bail. Other
- 37:37Speaker 1: woman that was driving the so called getaway cars turned
- 37:40Speaker 1: herself in. She was released. Um wow yeah yeah. Sa
- 37:46Speaker 1: La is still reeling from this. The city, you know,
- 37:49Speaker 1: I mean people, Yeah, going by his shop on the
- 37:53Speaker 1: commercial break on my talk shows. I have a lot
- 37:56Speaker 1: of millennials there. I've learned a lot about this guy.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I've learned a lot about this guy. His album Victory Lap,
- 38:04Speaker 1: the things that it meant to them, what he was
- 38:08Speaker 1: doing in the community. They they're appalled. Yeah, because he
- 38:13Speaker 1: was a good guy. Yeah. Yeah, my son is devastating.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Try right. Yeah yeah, how we took Biggie in tupacs
- 38:23Speaker 1: um yeah, murders yeah yeah. Our generation Yeah, just unbelievable. Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Like my husband said, you know, Nipsey Hustle, he was
- 38:33Speaker 1: one of the good guys. He said, he was making
- 38:35Speaker 1: a difference man. Yeah, and I think I heard t
- 38:38Speaker 1: I say that he Nipsey Hustle was one of the
- 38:41Speaker 1: ones they were looking to guide them into the future
- 38:44Speaker 1: of the culture, into the future. You know, he was
- 38:46Speaker 1: the future of the culture because yeah, yeah, he could
- 38:51Speaker 1: really do. He was a lyricy. He wasn't a mumble rapper.
- 38:55Speaker 1: He wouldn't he didn't even know. No, that's time that
- 38:59Speaker 1: I checked five chains on my neck. Last time that
- 39:03Speaker 1: I checked no smuggle, my brother, I mean just brother
- 39:07Speaker 1: was cold like check hill. Last time I checked what
- 39:13Speaker 1: one of my jams? Yeah yeah, rest in peace, Nipsey Hustle.
- 39:21Speaker 1: This has hit our culture just so hard. It really has.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Every day we're just heavy with Yeah, I'll play it today. Yeah, yep,
- 39:36Speaker 1: yep uh. And the city of la Like I said, um,
- 39:39Speaker 1: you know we've been in morning too, you know the
- 39:42Speaker 1: city Yeah, Um, Wow. All right. Coming up next at
- 39:48Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour, the city of Chicago has
- 39:52Speaker 1: elected their first African American female mayor. Wow. Congratulations U
- 40:00Speaker 1: we'll talk about that right after this. You're listening, all right.
- 40:06Speaker 1: So last night in Chicago, they made history during the
- 40:12Speaker 1: they voted for the first black female mayor of Chicago.
- 40:17Speaker 1: It was historic for that city. Former Police Board president
- 40:22Speaker 1: Lori Lightfoot is her name, and she was elected. She
- 40:25Speaker 1: will replace outgoing Mayor Rommy Manuel. Yeah. Thank a listen,
- 40:31Speaker 1: so take a listen as a Mary Alex says thank
- 40:34Speaker 1: you to the city of Chicago. Thank you Chicago. From
- 40:42Speaker 1: the bottom of my heart. Thank you. A few moments ago,
- 40:47Speaker 1: I spoke with Tony Freckwinkle in this election. Tony and
- 40:51Speaker 1: I were competitors, but our differences are nothing compared to
- 40:56Speaker 1: what we can achieve together. That's good. That's good that
- 41:00Speaker 1: she because I heard too that Jesse Jackson talked about
- 41:04Speaker 1: because this race was so heated that he wanted them
- 41:07Speaker 1: to work together after the election was over. Her opponent. Yeah,
- 41:11Speaker 1: unity every great, but that would be great. I mean,
- 41:18Speaker 1: it's historic for a couple of reasons. Steve. She's the
- 41:21Speaker 1: first black female she's the first openly gay. She will be,
- 41:27Speaker 1: you know, the first black female, openly gay mayor. Or.
- 41:29Speaker 1: She is openly gay. That's what I'm trying to say anyway. Um,
- 41:34Speaker 1: so that they made history last night, the people of Chicago,
- 41:36Speaker 1: and they're happy with their choice for mayor. Mayor elect
- 41:40Speaker 1: Lori Lightfoot. Oh he graduates. Yeah, yeah, graduate nut since
- 41:47Speaker 1: Harrible blushed together, Yeah, I hope so, I definitely and
- 41:51Speaker 1: we need more of this yeah yeah women. Yeah, they're
- 41:58Speaker 1: both black women. Yeah. Yes, so either way we were
- 42:01Speaker 1: gonna have a black woman as a mayor. They were
- 42:03Speaker 1: going to make history. Yeah, that's why he was saying,
- 42:07Speaker 1: Oh I didn't, I had no idea. Yeah, yes, yes,
- 42:10Speaker 1: both of them are and chance to wrap. His father
- 42:15Speaker 1: worked on Missus H. Perwinkle's uh campaign, the one that
- 42:21Speaker 1: the opponent loss If life would said anything, a boy,
- 42:24Speaker 1: Jesse Jesse said, Jesse, it's just that I really think
- 42:36Speaker 1: that it's a stat I think as far as the
- 42:38Speaker 1: Jesse Mullett thing goes, I think it's a sad state
- 42:42Speaker 1: of affairs with the attention that they're paying to this
- 42:45Speaker 1: right now because he was exonerated by dropping all the charges.
- 42:52Speaker 1: So that's what it is. Just trying to make him
- 42:55Speaker 1: pay the hundred and thirty thousand back and all of that,
- 42:59Speaker 1: you know, and then Mayor Romi Manuel coming out appalled
- 43:04Speaker 1: with the decision and all like this. You know, in essence,
- 43:10Speaker 1: you know what, at worst, what Jesse Smellett did. At worst,
- 43:15Speaker 1: we're debating over the whether he lied or not. Lion,
- 43:22Speaker 1: don't take this much of attention, especially with the other
- 43:26Speaker 1: problems that we're all facing. Yeah, and hey, back listen
- 43:32Speaker 1: that boy, I'm that boy. Olympics. They don't go over
- 43:36Speaker 1: there and lie by something. One of them swimmers, remember
- 43:39Speaker 1: that they dog dog dog dog, they dog. He was
- 43:42Speaker 1: on family field boy lyon Lockey said he got mugged,
- 43:48Speaker 1: jumped on over in Brazil and they said, where was
- 43:54Speaker 1: the outrage? None, no, no, no, no, no, it was
- 43:58Speaker 1: a lock outrage. He lost, He lost an endorsement behind it,
- 44:03Speaker 1: but he was allowed to get up and move on.
- 44:06Speaker 1: He was just on celebrity family feud. He beyond this
- 44:08Speaker 1: upcoming summer. Yeah, he was a nice guy too, man,
- 44:12Speaker 1: real nice guy. He just you know, he trimped so
- 44:16Speaker 1: at worse he's been exonerated. At worst, what we're talking
- 44:20Speaker 1: about is did he lie. That's at worse, well, he
- 44:27Speaker 1: says he didn't, and I'm okay with that, you know,
- 44:33Speaker 1: so we we ain't got no more time for this story, no,
- 44:39Speaker 1: you know, all right? All right? Coming up next, it
- 44:45Speaker 1: is a nephew with today's praying phone call. Right after
- 44:47Speaker 1: this you're listening, Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:53Speaker 1: right about four minutes after, it's my strubberry letter for
- 44:56Speaker 1: today's subject. He prefers himself over me. But right now
- 45:01Speaker 1: the nephew is in the building with today's prank phone call.
- 45:04Speaker 1: What you got now, y'all ain't married? Who you're trying
- 45:09Speaker 1: to y'all ain't married? Like telling people off, man, y'all
- 45:16Speaker 1: ain't married. I check this out. I'm I called it
- 45:19Speaker 1: these people, letting them know that the pastor that officiated
- 45:23Speaker 1: they ceremony, they wedding, his papers ain't legit, so they
- 45:27Speaker 1: ain't really married. I'm saying, yeah, y'all sit back and
- 45:32Speaker 1: watch me work. Here. It is Reddy can't hello Hello,
- 45:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Brian. Yeah, how you doing, Brian?
- 45:41Speaker 1: My name is Daniel. Wanted to give you a call today.
- 45:44Speaker 1: You got a minute? Yeah, okay, listen, um you're you're Brian.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Um Brian, Right, you're married to uh to Althea Yeah? Hello, hello, yeah, yeah,
- 45:56Speaker 1: that that's me. That's my wife's Yeah, okay, got a
- 46:00Speaker 1: question for you. I do lotly. You guys been married
- 46:03Speaker 1: going on nine years now, we've been married. Now, who
- 46:06Speaker 1: is this? My name is Daniel. Were you um? Were
- 46:10Speaker 1: you guys married a greater New Missionary Baptist church than
- 46:15Speaker 1: the Sea? Yeah? Yeah, yep, yep, that's the name of
- 46:17Speaker 1: that church. Yeah. Great, bout nine years? Yeah, that's right.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Why what's going on? What's asking me all these questions? Fuck? Okay,
- 46:24Speaker 1: do you remember the minister that officiated your actual wedding ceremony? Yeah? No, uh?
- 46:32Speaker 1: Reverend right? Yeah, okay, I got the right person. I
- 46:35Speaker 1: wanted to make sure I had the right person, Brian. So,
- 46:38Speaker 1: I'm I'm sorry if it seemed a little weird to you.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Here's here's what's going on. We've just come up with
- 46:44Speaker 1: a new discovery a lot of information that Reverend none
- 46:49Speaker 1: of his credentials are true. Everything is false. He's not
- 46:54Speaker 1: a minister at all, he never was a minister, and
- 46:57Speaker 1: every single wedding Sarah momony that he officiated is basically
- 47:03Speaker 1: null and void. So and I hate to be the
- 47:06Speaker 1: bearer of bad news. But you and Alphia, even though
- 47:10Speaker 1: you think you've been married for nine years, you guys
- 47:12Speaker 1: are not married. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 47:16Speaker 1: you gotta have the wrong person, because man, that then
- 47:19Speaker 1: we got we got married by nine years ago. And
- 47:26Speaker 1: what I'm telling you is he he never was ordained.
- 47:30Speaker 1: He's never been an ordained minister. He's not a minister
- 47:32Speaker 1: at all. So when he performed this ceremony, you're a
- 47:36Speaker 1: wedding ceremony, he had no right to be doing that.
- 47:38Speaker 1: You guys are not are not married. You know, you
- 47:41Speaker 1: guys have been living in sin for nine years. Hold on, hold,
- 47:45Speaker 1: hold on that. Let me tell you something. I ain't
- 47:47Speaker 1: been living no man, my wife we have been married
- 47:50Speaker 1: for nine years. And that man he's a preacher. I'm
- 47:52Speaker 1: telling he's a preacher. Preach land Sunday Sir. As of today,
- 47:57Speaker 1: he is he has no right to be in anybody's point.
- 48:00Speaker 1: He has no right to be officiating, whether it's weddings
- 48:03Speaker 1: or funerals, no matter what it is, christenings for children.
- 48:06Speaker 1: He's not allowed to do that. And we have officially
- 48:09Speaker 1: stopped him from doing anything serving under as being a
- 48:14Speaker 1: pastor or a minister. We have stopped at. But what
- 48:17Speaker 1: I want you to know is that you have been
- 48:19Speaker 1: living in sin and you don't you get that. We
- 48:22Speaker 1: want to try and get you guys married as soon
- 48:25Speaker 1: as possible, so you're not living in sin. Oh, no, doc,
- 48:28Speaker 1: I have been living in no sin. I have been
- 48:31Speaker 1: married for nine years. This womanship been taking care of
- 48:34Speaker 1: me and my kids for the past Wait, wait a minute,
- 48:37Speaker 1: Wait a minute. You guys have children. Yeah, yeah, we
- 48:40Speaker 1: got two, two kids, two beautiful kids. Okay, then those
- 48:43Speaker 1: kids are bastards staffords. Let me tell you something. My
- 48:47Speaker 1: kids ain't no bastards. What about your kids? Your kids
- 48:49Speaker 1: in basketts? No, sir, my kids, my kids were born
- 48:52Speaker 1: in wedlock. Your kids have been born out of wedlocks.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I'm telling you. Batman did my service, and he is
- 48:59Speaker 1: a prest He's a man after God's old heart himself.
- 49:03Speaker 1: He hasn't done everything that he could for me and
- 49:05Speaker 1: my family. He is a preacher, So I don't. I
- 49:09Speaker 1: know it's hard for you to to to swallow the truth,
- 49:12Speaker 1: but I want you to know, and I need you
- 49:13Speaker 1: to be able to tell out feel that you guys
- 49:15Speaker 1: are not married and not as of right now now, now, okay,
- 49:19Speaker 1: so I herd hunt now back in the olden days,
- 49:23Speaker 1: but before all these all these colleges and stuff came
- 49:25Speaker 1: came about. You telling me that them men baking old days,
- 49:29Speaker 1: that they weren't no preachers, that they wasn't meant men
- 49:31Speaker 1: after the cloth? Is that what you're saying to me?
- 49:35Speaker 1: What are you? What are you? What are you? What
- 49:36Speaker 1: are you getting at? Sir? What I'm trying to say
- 49:38Speaker 1: is back in the older days, baking the twenties and thirties,
- 49:41Speaker 1: they didn't have all these colleges and all these degrees
- 49:43Speaker 1: and stuff like these new preachers got these days. That
- 49:46Speaker 1: man now he was from back then, and God called
- 49:49Speaker 1: them and that's what they went on too. And all
- 49:51Speaker 1: them people that they married back then, they did the
- 49:54Speaker 1: same thing to day. You don't need no degree to
- 49:56Speaker 1: say that that you're a preacher. You don't need no
- 49:58Speaker 1: life to say you're a preacher. Me and my wife
- 50:00Speaker 1: Will been married for nine years. My kids have been
- 50:03Speaker 1: born in wed locks. We were married, We were married
- 50:06Speaker 1: by my friends and family. Day was all there, sir.
- 50:10Speaker 1: The bottom line is that that you have been living
- 50:12Speaker 1: in sin because you have not been married with your
- 50:15Speaker 1: wife for the last nine years. And your kids. I
- 50:18Speaker 1: hate to say it, your kids are bastards now O.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Now I've been told you don't say nothing else about
- 50:24Speaker 1: my kids, and I ain't no custom. But don't push me.
- 50:27Speaker 1: My kids ain't no bastards. You understand me. You don't
- 50:30Speaker 1: get in there, sir. I'm trying to give you the
- 50:32Speaker 1: truth and try to get you in here and get
- 50:33Speaker 1: you married so you will not be living in sin
- 50:35Speaker 1: any more than what you are. I'm living in those sins. Look, now,
- 50:40Speaker 1: you don't make me whoop your ass. You understand men,
- 50:43Speaker 1: my wife, we have been married for nine years. Don't
- 50:47Speaker 1: shoot up here call me talking about the way. Ain't
- 50:49Speaker 1: mad that that man ain't a nature? Do you understand?
- 50:52Speaker 1: I get out of my phone, but you that's my life.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Those are my kids. They have been born in red locks.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Do you understand, sir? Sir, I just wanted to call
- 51:01Speaker 1: and give you the information so that you could probably
- 51:03Speaker 1: stop living in sin. That's all I wanted to do.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I ain't even anna saying that's what I just told you.
- 51:07Speaker 1: You ain't hit me. I ain't living an no fin.
- 51:09Speaker 1: Maybe you the one that's living up some sin. Now,
- 51:12Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing else said to me? That man
- 51:14Speaker 1: and man that's nine years ago. They get show ass
- 51:17Speaker 1: on my phone. So so I have one more thing,
- 51:20Speaker 1: one more thing I'd like to say. You ain't got
- 51:22Speaker 1: nothing else to say to me. You ain't get though
- 51:24Speaker 1: ass off my dam's phone. Ya do you understand me?
- 51:28Speaker 1: I ain't got time for this publicly, sir? Can I
- 51:30Speaker 1: say one more thing? What you gotta say to me? Now?
- 51:33Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you know that this is
- 51:35Speaker 1: nephew Timmy from the Steve warp In Morning Show. Your
- 51:38Speaker 1: wife how Field got me to prank phone call you?
- 51:43Speaker 1: Oh man, Oh lord, it do here? Uh yeah, I
- 51:51Speaker 1: almost went in on you that you all wouldn't let
- 51:53Speaker 1: me go that. Yeah, I'm gonna good at this. You say,
- 51:55Speaker 1: I put you up to this? Got me to prank you? Man? Why?
- 52:01Speaker 1: Oh man? Hey man, you are right with me? Brother.
- 52:03Speaker 1: I got to ask you something, man, what is the
- 52:05Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the lands,

- 54:09Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you. Here it ease
- 54:12Speaker 1: The Strawberry Letter. Subject he prefers himself over me. Dear
- 54:17Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I'm twenty nine and my boyfriend has me
- 54:21Speaker 1: really confused. He's three years younger than me, and we
- 54:24Speaker 1: just started having sex, or at least we try to
- 54:28Speaker 1: have sex. The problem is he gets really nervous, and
- 54:32Speaker 1: when he's nervous, you know what does not work, don't.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I don't want to get graphics, so I hope you
- 54:40Speaker 1: get the picture. So even though he says he's really
- 54:43Speaker 1: into me and he wants to please me. He cannot perform.
- 54:47Speaker 1: He told me that he is more comfortable taking care
- 54:50Speaker 1: of business on his own, and he's been doing it
- 54:54Speaker 1: that way for years. All of my girlfriends tell me
- 54:58Speaker 1: that this is not normal, and their boyfriends love to
- 55:01Speaker 1: have sex. My boyfriend says he does not want to
- 55:04Speaker 1: lose me, so we should stay together and enjoy being together,
- 55:09Speaker 1: but take care of our sexual needs separately. Boy, what
- 55:14Speaker 1: what does that mean? He wants me to cheat? I'm
- 55:18Speaker 1: so confused. Uncle Steve, Do you have any advice to
- 55:22Speaker 1: help my man to calm down before sex. I don't
- 55:25Speaker 1: want him to be embarrassed, but I feel like he
- 55:27Speaker 1: should at least try a few different things so he
- 55:30Speaker 1: can perform. We're both late bloomers, so I'm totally new
- 55:35Speaker 1: to this too, and I am willing to take it
- 55:37Speaker 1: slowly for him. Please help me fix this. Wow, you
- 55:42Speaker 1: guys are both relatively young, But yes, you're right, this
- 55:46Speaker 1: is pretty well. They're relatively young. She's twenty nine, he's
- 55:51Speaker 1: twenty six. Yeah, and this is pretty strange. It's pretty
- 55:57Speaker 1: strange even though you're kind of young. Okay, and I
- 56:00Speaker 1: get that he gets excited being with you. You know,
- 56:03Speaker 1: the first couple of times. I get that. You know,
- 56:05Speaker 1: I've heard guys say that they get excited, they can't perform.
- 56:08Speaker 1: They're they're overly excited, so, you know, premature things happen.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I get that. But yeah, but that's different. Oh okay,
- 56:20Speaker 1: but every none happened in here. Yeah, he can't perform,
- 56:24Speaker 1: he gets too excited. But every time though, and then
- 56:29Speaker 1: just to give up completely and ask that you each
- 56:33Speaker 1: take care of yourself separately. I mean, he's just giving
- 56:37Speaker 1: up and not even trying to get better or work
- 56:40Speaker 1: it out with you. I mean, this is really really
- 56:43Speaker 1: what this is what you guys have. This is a friendship.
- 56:45Speaker 1: You guys have, just a close friendship between the two
- 56:48Speaker 1: of you. This is not a relationship between a man
- 56:51Speaker 1: and a woman. This isn't that. What you guys have
- 56:54Speaker 1: is a friendship, a friendship, And it doesn't mean that
- 56:57Speaker 1: he wants you to cheat, because if he gives your
- 57:00Speaker 1: permission to cheat, that means he doesn't care anything about you. Okay,
- 57:03Speaker 1: so don't even fall for that. If you really want
- 57:06Speaker 1: this thing to work, I agree with you. I think
- 57:08Speaker 1: you guys do need to slow down since you say,
- 57:11Speaker 1: you're both late bloomers. You need to communicate more. You
- 57:14Speaker 1: need to find out, you know, what he likes, what
- 57:17Speaker 1: you like that thing. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid
- 57:21Speaker 1: he's not the man for you. He's just not the
- 57:24Speaker 1: man for you. Steve. That's really nice, you think, God
- 57:29Speaker 1: bless you, God bless you. We're gonna passed to offering
- 57:32Speaker 1: trade now, all right? The church response is over whatever, Steve.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I mean, it was nice being real respectful and everything
- 57:42Speaker 1: and trying to work out a solution. Hain't no solution
- 57:44Speaker 1: for this, This whole this whole relationship is a wash.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Twenty nine years old, he twenty six, just started having
- 57:55Speaker 1: sex together. At least we trying anyway too. What de
- 57:58Speaker 1: food did? Men, he gets really nervous. And when he's nervous,
- 58:05Speaker 1: you know what does not work. And I don't want
- 58:08Speaker 1: to get graphics. So I hope you get the picture. Oh,
- 58:10Speaker 1: we get the picture. All we get the pit cha,
- 58:16Speaker 1: We got it. We know exactly what you're talking about.
- 58:19Speaker 1: He's called e D. They got commercials about it. We'll
- 58:27Speaker 1: get into that in just a second. But first, so,
- 58:33Speaker 1: even though he says he's really into me, he wants
- 58:37Speaker 1: to please me, he cannot perform. I don't know how
- 58:41Speaker 1: nervous you're asking. God boy now surely made a valid point,
- 58:48Speaker 1: she said, when you're nervous, things happened too quickly. The
- 58:52Speaker 1: problem is, according to this, that ain't nothing happening. Things
- 58:56Speaker 1: happening too quickly is premature. Nothing happening is we don't
- 59:03Speaker 1: have nothing premature. It never matures, it never grows up.
- 59:13Speaker 1: It don't say hello, careful Cideclops. I'm trying not to
- 59:22Speaker 1: be graphic, like Lathy said, but I think you get
- 59:25Speaker 1: the picture. Cyclops was a mythical Greek character that was
- 59:32Speaker 1: a giant, paleheaded man and had just one eye in
- 59:39Speaker 1: the center of his head. This Greek mythical mythical character
- 59:45Speaker 1: was called Cyclops. That's one way to look at it. Okay,
- 59:50Speaker 1: Cyclops is tied. He don't feel strong today. He weak hyeah. Yeah,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: his head is bloodied and bowed. He can't stand up
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to the pressure. He don't feel like doing the star
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: spangled banner. He can't stand there and put his hand
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: over the sty cloud, take it a knee. He's sweepy,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: well sherl. I'm trying not to do this letter. No,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: you Okay, he won't to please me, but he can't perform.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: He told me he's more comfortable taking care of business
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: on his own. See if she asks you specifically, do
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you have any advice to help my man to calm down?
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Before sachs, this ain't a bout calming down. He needed
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: to get water, He needed to get roused up. An
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I'm on calming down. He alread it down. That's the
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: damn problem. He had calmed itself down to the point
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: where everybody down. You gotta wake up. Tick gep ted hut.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I need all the soldiers on on the front line.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I need all the soldiers all on the front calling
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: all cars, calling all cars. Man down. There's a man down.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Shy cops is down. When we come back, you need
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: to be here. Yes, greatness is about to happen to
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: this meta Part two. All right, Steve, Part two of
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three after the hour. Subject,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: he prefers himself over me. We'll be back right after this.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve, Let's recap today's strawberry letter
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and get on with part two of your response. Subject
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: he prefers himself, twenty nine year old woman sleeping with
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: twenty two old boys, so she thought. Twenty six year
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: old boy says he gets nervous so he can't perform.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: It's called e ed erectile dysfunction. But he can take
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: care of himself though, So that means he'd rather just
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: be in the room by himself, thanking his own thoughts,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: doing it his way. Frank Sinatra had a song out,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I did it my way, and that's what he in
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the room doing, doing it his way. He says he's
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: more comfortable taking care of business on his own than
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: he's doing it that that way for years. So this
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: boy never got past the fact that you really posted
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: to have a partner. He been in that ji whooping
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: himself into a friend. He just has been in maveling
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: by his damn. He been in there, man, I'm talking
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: about with the top of his head on the match.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: He laying on his back with the top of his
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: head on the match, moth wide over. He just in
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: the ball. Give us side cops the blue. Now, all
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: of my girlfriends tell me this ain't normal that their
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: boyfriends love to have sex. Now that's normal, Junior, Timmy,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: They Hill who you know, would rather be by themself
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: than with some girl. I don't give it. Damn what
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: you look like? Really don't one leg and one eye?

- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm with you. We're in the hill. Yeah,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: see me out at the club of the woman with
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: one league. And my boyfriend said, he don't want to
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: lose me, So we should stay together and enjoy being together,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: but take care of our sexual needs separately. Boy, what
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: does that mean? He wants me to cheat? Yes, with yourself.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: He wants you to do what he doing? Hearing that
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: by his self justin cracked every tooth in his hand himself.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Huh himself, by the way, no his Why does she
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: find an English player? Yeah? Surely hisself is his? And
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: hearing that by his self. See that's not called him,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: that's his him himself. Is you talking about you? His body,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: his heart, his mind, that's him. His self is his part.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Go ahead, I just had to say it. You say

- 1:05:32Speaker 1: get you someone. I'm so confused, Uncle Steve, you have
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: any advice to help my man to calm down? She
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: wants him to calm down. He ain't got shut it.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: That ain't what it is. Well, she's saying he's too
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: nervous and excited. He ain't nervous. Excited produces premature things
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: to happen. That's what's nervous does. Well, Okay, perhaps she
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: didn't put that in there. She says, he gets really nervous,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: and when he's nervous, you know what does not work.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Surely he needs some medicine. He twenty six is very rare,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: but Silis has a commercial life that says, when you
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: take this, there's some side effects, which no man cares
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: about their taking it anyway. Is that for twenty six
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: year olds? Yeah, it's for anybody who suffers with it.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: You know, surely it can happen. You don't have a
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: heart attack at eighteen. It congested me. I get congestion.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: That's one of the symptoms. Tell me you're posted to
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: get congestion. Now what you want? You want to have
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: your head congestion or what I don't give a damn't
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: get man, what be having? One of them say, you
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: can lose temporary blindness. I ship my eyes anywhere this woman, please. Yeah,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to help on I'm just telling the side
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: effects is stuffing those and you get sometimes temporary blind
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: And I don't give a damn about being blind my
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: head being clear. Man, you think I care about my
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: head being clear, me being able to see? Shut mine.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I can't see a damn thing. What I kill? I
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: need this your thing to be happening in it. And
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: then one of the side effects is if you have
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: an erection lasking more than four hours, call your doctor.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I'm not calling nobody. I'm taking selfish every hour on
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: the hour and sending it to people. Hey, that's our
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: one click click click had been lay one thill. Yeah,

- 1:07:45Speaker 1: He's got to get some medical attention and damned them
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: side effects. One of my dudes said, one of the
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: side effects is you developed severe chills. He said he
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: put a sweater only, but with the I'm surprised Tommy
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: has not said a world hardly on this letter. Yeah, Tommy,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: know what's happening. To Yeah, I don't give a damn
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: about side he is. Somebody said wanted the side effects
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: was potentially pneumonia whatever ivy drip I had that before

- 1:09:17Speaker 1: he got too nervous and he wasn't able to perform.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: So she wants to know what could she do. She
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: wants to stay with him. He just thought that perhaps
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: she could take care of herself and he could take
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: care of himself, but they could still stay in the
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: relationship because he loved her very much. So we're calling
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: the segment symptoms and side effects, all right, the three
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: comedians on the show, Well, what it is is, Yes,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: my suggesting to him is he needs some type of medication. Yes,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: they have all types of stuff out here. Now you
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: ain't even got to go and get a real prescription.

- 1:12:20Speaker 1: fall asleep, both arms and both legs. But at that

- 1:15:59Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we're gonna talk about Chicago's
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: first black female mayor right after this. You're listening too, Yeah,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: we've been talking about this all day. How you know
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: the passing, the murder of our rapper, Nipsey Hustle has
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: affected everyone. His death has affected so many people from
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: so many walks of life. Russell Westbrook, Steve your favorite
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: basketball player, dedicated his triple double to Nipsey Hustle. He
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: got twenty twenty and twenty with over just forty seconds
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: left to play in a fairly meaningless game between the
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: playoff bound Oklahoma City thunder and the lottery bound Los
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Isaac Bona, a nineteen year old
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Lakers rookie, badly missed a fifteen foot shot. Russell Westbrook.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: That is not easy for me to say today. Russell Westbrook,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: the veteran thunder guard, snatched the ball out of the
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: air for a defensive rebound. He said, that's for Nipsey,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: he declared, referring to Nipsey Hustle. Of course, Westbrook's presence
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: on the floor in the closing moments of an easy
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: one nineteen to one h three home victory for the
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: Thunder would usually have been odd, but on this night,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: the modern master of the triple double was out there
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: to grab his twentieth rebound of the night. Combined with
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: his twenty points and twenty one assists, and the rebound
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: made Westbrook the second twenty twenty twenty player in NBA history. Wow, man,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: that's cool, Blas. Let me tell you something. Man to
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: get twenty rebounds in an NBA game, But I tell
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: you what's crazy, twenty one assists for real, man, dog,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: he has a game that I would love most to
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: have of all the NBA players, say that's your favorite,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: just to because his motor. Man, this dude's motor is crazy.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: I mean he up and down the floor. I've never
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: seen him, you know, just chilling on the plate. No,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I've never seen No. No, he doesn't take the play off. No,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: this dude is He's a bad boy. He has the
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: game I wish I had if I can have anybody's
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: game in the league. Got wore heads because he can
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: go to the rack. He get rebounds, man, and you
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: know he got a jumper. Wow, that's a historic performance. Yeah,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: cnshaw T shirt he was wearing when he arrived to
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: the arena. I saw that too. He joined a bad boy,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Yeah it says. It says he joined Wilt Chamberlain. Guys
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: who had twenty two points twenty five rebounds in twenty
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: one assists. I mean for different reasons, of course, But yeah,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: really that's great, Yeah it is. It really is. Every
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: proud of you, Russ. Who's your favorite player? Junior on NYBA?
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: All right, now hard you've seen Hardened play that's now

- 1:19:05Speaker 1: hard Shin, that's Chloe's boyfriend last year. I get second.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: I thought she was with Tristan. Well, oh no, that's

- 1:24:26Speaker 1: would replace the Affordable Care Act better known otherwise known
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: as Obamacare with something better. But it turns out that
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: that's not happening anytime soon. On Monday night, yeah, imagine that.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Imagine that right on Monday night, Trump dialed that promise
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: back at least for another nineteen months, and then only
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: if Republicans happen to win the twenty twenty election. In
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: a series of tweets on Monday night, Trump wrote, the
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Republicans are developing a really great healthcare plan with far
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: low or premiums and deductibles than Obamacare. In other words,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: it will be far less expensive and much more usable
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: than Obamacare. The vote will be taken right after the election,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: when Republicans hold the Senate and went back the House. Meanwhile,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer responded by saying, the Republicans quote
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: have no healthcare plan. It's the same old song they've
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: been singing. They're ready for repeal, they have no replacement.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: That's a true statement. They don't have a replacement plan.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: But here's the real reason that Donald Trump doubled down
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: and backed up. His party convinced him that if you
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: run on this healthcare platform, we will get slaughtered because
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: nobody wants to be without healthcare. And Obamacare is helping
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and the Healthcare Act is helping millions of people, Yeah,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: helping millions of people. And if you try to repeal
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: it and get it out and these and that becomes
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: one of your rallying cries for this upcoming election, the
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: Republicans would get slaughtered. So they've asked him to hold
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: off until he gets back in office again on twenty twenty.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: Then he's not gonna care how you feel because he
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: can't run again, and he'll slice and dice up everything
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: because he doesn't care how you live, because he does
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: not know how you live. He's never lived that way,
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: nor is he interested in finding out real problems that
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: people have down on the other levels of life. That's
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: why they shut down Obama replacing it until after the election,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: because then he would lose to Senate. Then, yeah, he
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: los Senate and everything. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, it's a
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: political move. It's strategy for sure, what he's doing. We
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: need a president replacement plan. We need to be working
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: out here. That is so true. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: got to do our parts of this coming election next year.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: We do. We gotta do everything we can. But that
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: I got a healthcare play, but I ain't gonna tell
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: y'a about it to after the election. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: we're just saving it for all right. We'll be back
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: You're listening to morning show, So, Steve, today is your

- 1:31:22Speaker 1: closing remarks right after this you're listening to all right, Wow,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: it's Wednesday. Yeah, hump day. It's been a good day.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: Happy birthday again to Eddie Murphy. We started the show
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: off with you. Yeah, birthday fifty eight. Wow, yeah, m
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: shot me in the Pinket Toe. Remember his song party
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: all the time? My God? Yeah time. Hey the other
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: day for closing, Dude, I tell y'all about these two
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: books I wanted everybody to get. I think you could
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: always tell us again if you did. I can't remember
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: if I did or not. Okay, good. I was sharing
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: this with the audience from the talk show yesterday, and
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: I was talking to them because some young person was
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: telling me how did they get their business off the
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: ground or how do you make it prospers something? Somehow
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: we got into the conversation and they were talking about,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you know, trying to figure this thing out, this thing
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: called life. Did everybody gets stuck on sometimes or another
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: trying to figure it out? Figuring it out can be
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: difficult at times. You are what I've learned to do
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: and what I'm learning more and more to do. It's
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: to ask God to allow his will to be done
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: in my life. And that used to scare me. I'm
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: gonna be honest with because I thought He might have
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: me want me to do something that was contrary to
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: simply basically you want the truth, contrary to what I
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: wanted to do. I was afraid to say to God
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: let your will be done in my life, because I
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: was actually afraid that it was going to be something
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: opposite of what I wanted to do. And I'm i'm, I'm,
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: I'm strong enough to admit that that I wanted his
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: will to be done. I was scared of it, though,
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: because I thought he was gonna have me somewhere trying
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: to do something I ain't want to do. But the
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: older I've gotten and the smarter I've got when I
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: asked God, and what I've learned over the years that
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: when you ask God to let your will be done,
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: it actually releases you from the problem of having to
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: figure out what's next, or it gives you a sense
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: of peace and comfort in knowing that you have turned
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: this over to God, which he would love more of
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: in your life, and you've allowed him to drive and
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: you're allowing him to lead you in the right path,
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: which he promised to keep that path straight. And so
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: when you say I want your will to be done,
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: it's surrendering to his will, but it's also releasing yourself
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: from the burden and the pressure of having to figure
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: it out yourself. Now. I know that's kind of tough
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: for some people to believe and come into that can
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: be quite difficult, but you can do it. You can
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: get there. You can have a relationship with him to
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: the point where he leads you, and he leads you
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: so perfectly. Not to say that there won't be troubles, hardships,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: and problems, but he leads you so perfectly that when
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: you get into those moments where it's troublesome, he also
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: provides you with peace of mind to get through the
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: situations that you're getting through. It has been the most
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: valuable lesson I've learned over the years, and I'm really
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: starting to put it together this year. I'm really starting
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: to understand that when one door closes, another one opens.
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: I'm really starting to understand that no one has power
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: over me except my creator, because I don't give it
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: to anybody else. I am really really understanding how it
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: is to live in peace in the midst of controversy
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: and term more. He taught me that this year. He
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: taught it to me, and I'm telling you it's learnable.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: It's actually doable and achievable, that you can have a
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: peace of mind by releasing your troubles over to or
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: God who has an understanding and a will for your
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: life that supersedes anything you could possibly think of it.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: His ways are so high above the way ours are.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: The way we function, the way he functions is so
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: much above the way we can't put this together like him.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: And when you turn it over to him, it releases
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: the problems you have a lot of times distress. It
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: causes you to not be anxious for nothing, turning it
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: over to him, handing him your problems, taking him your dreams,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: handing over him these uncontrollable situations, talking to him about
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: where you want to be, what you aspire to. I'm
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: telling you, man, it frees your mind. I hope that
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: I'm saying this right, because I feel myself kind of
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: being a little bit all over the place. But I'm
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: getting to you though. I want you to understand something.
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: He is perfect peace. He gives you a piece of
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: mind and an assuredness that you can't get for yourself.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: Because he gives you an internal peace, and he puts
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: a calmness over you in the middle of it. It's
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: like he puts you in the eye of your own
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: herit cane. So whereas all swirling around you, he keeps
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: you right in the eye Dad sinner in peace. As
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: long as you don't go out there and get in
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: the swirl, you can survive it. That's what he's done.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: That's what he does on a daily basis. And that
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: peace of mind is available to you, That dropping your
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: burdens off to him is available to you. That not
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: having to worry about your future is available to you.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: I've tried it, and it works. I would hope you
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: would try it. A matter of fact, I dare you
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: to try. That's it dropped the Mike Prayam over WHOA
