We have not meditated enough on what it means to be “made” righteous. If we do, the way we pray or even relate to God would be different. In 2 Cor 5:21, the phrase “made righteous” is from the Greek word “gimomai” - and it is a derivative of the English language word “gene”. Since in human context, a child’s gender is dermined by the “gene” of the father, so the believer’s spiritual gender is determined by the “gene” of God. If your spiritual gene is from God and God is righteous, then it should not be difficult to believe that righteousness is the spiritual gene of the believer. We should…
