- 2:15Speaker 1: everybody that's listening. I need you to catch fire today.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I want you to catch fire today. You want to
- 2:24Speaker 1: phrase it another way, I want you to catch on
- 2:27Speaker 1: fire today, but I need you to catch fire today.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I need today to be today that you stop complaining
- 2:35Speaker 1: and you do something. Do you know why a lot
- 2:38Speaker 1: of people can't move forward in their life because they're
- 2:41Speaker 1: complaining about their past? They always complaining, man about something?
- 2:46Speaker 1: Is that explains the reason why they are. Let me
- 2:50Speaker 1: help you with this, right here. If you are steady
- 2:53Speaker 1: complaining about the reason you are, You know, if I
- 2:56Speaker 1: hadn't have met this man, if I hadn't been involved
- 2:59Speaker 1: with this woman, if I hadn't had this baby, if
- 3:02Speaker 1: I had to never went down there, if I hadn't
- 3:04Speaker 1: got arrested, if I hadn't it is, if I hadn't
- 3:07Speaker 1: if I had to just finish school, if I hadn't
- 3:10Speaker 1: he hey, hey, hey, stop stop all that stuff that
- 3:15Speaker 1: you're complaining about, everything that you keep allowing to resonate
- 3:20Speaker 1: with you as a reason to justify and explain you're
- 3:24Speaker 1: not being successful. Can I share something with you about
- 3:27Speaker 1: all of that? Guess what it is. You didn't got
- 3:31Speaker 1: past all of it. You didn't have the baby, you
- 3:35Speaker 1: got arrested, they didn't kill you, you didn't finish school,
- 3:38Speaker 1: But you're still standing. You met that man, he gone,
- 3:41Speaker 1: He involved with two other women. Right now, I've got
- 3:44Speaker 1: three other kids. Guess what. You still here and the
- 3:47Speaker 1: baby's here. You got over all the injustices that were
- 3:51Speaker 1: done to you. You got something happened to you when
- 3:53Speaker 1: you was a kid. You're an adult now. Somebody did
- 3:56Speaker 1: something to you when you was a little boy. Guess
- 3:59Speaker 1: what you were and now some thing's happened to you
- 4:03Speaker 1: that you haven't found closure on. The person that you're
- 4:06Speaker 1: looking for closure from has moved on. Can I tell
- 4:10Speaker 1: you that everything that has happened to you, do you
- 4:13Speaker 1: know you've gotten past it? So why are you steady
- 4:17Speaker 1: complaining about what has happened to you that has caused
- 4:21Speaker 1: you to be in this position? But do you understand
- 4:24Speaker 1: that it's prohibiting you from moving forward? Stop complaining today,
- 4:28Speaker 1: catch fire, Let your pass be your past. I've told
- 4:31Speaker 1: us to you a hundred times on this radio, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it again. Bishop Jake's told me something
- 4:37Speaker 1: man that helped me so greatly. You can't drive your
- 4:41Speaker 1: car if you're gonna keep looking in the rear view mirror.
- 4:45Speaker 1: That's why the windshield is huge. The windshield is huge.
- 4:51Speaker 1: The rear view mirror is this tiny thing that sits
- 4:54Speaker 1: up there. Now all is far. It's so you can
- 4:57Speaker 1: see stuff that's coming up on you. All the review
- 5:01Speaker 1: mirror for is so you can assure yourself or listen
- 5:05Speaker 1: to this. The review mirror is imp there to assure
- 5:09Speaker 1: you that you've cleared something. See. That's what the review
- 5:13Speaker 1: mirrors for. So when you pass it con you want
- 5:15Speaker 1: to switch lanes, you can glance up there and it says, okay,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you're clear. Now you passed it. You can switch lanes.
- 5:22Speaker 1: That's all the review mirrors for. It ain't for you
- 5:24Speaker 1: to stare at and dictate your life with what you're
- 5:27Speaker 1: tripping for. Man, catch fire today today, man quick complaining
- 5:33Speaker 1: about everything that did happened to you? Life is ten
- 5:36Speaker 1: percent what happens to you is what you do about
- 5:40Speaker 1: what happens to you? What are you going to do
- 5:42Speaker 1: about it? So what I got all this? Look, man,
- 5:47Speaker 1: your story ain't no deeper than nobody else's. I can
- 5:49Speaker 1: tell you. I was homeless for three years. It's people
- 5:52Speaker 1: been homeless for thirty years. How long I'm gonna ride
- 5:57Speaker 1: that out? Man? You know I can't do right now.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I fell on hard times and I lost my place
- 6:03Speaker 1: to stay. What are you staying now? See the majority
- 6:08Speaker 1: of people are staying somewhere right now. I was out there.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I didn't have nowhere to go. I'm in a shelter now.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You was under the bridge a week ago. You're in
- 6:17Speaker 1: the shelter now. Why are you still crying about the bridge?
- 6:22Speaker 1: You're in the shelter now, man, People man, we trip
- 6:26Speaker 1: ourselves out by complaining. I'm asking everybody today to catch
- 6:31Speaker 1: fire today. Stop complaining, do something today. Get excited. Now
- 6:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna say something that I'm going to have to explain.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Get excited about your life. You know, the best way
- 6:43Speaker 1: to get excited about your life is to find your
- 6:45Speaker 1: purpose in your life. Oh, ste you gotta explain that one,
- 6:48Speaker 1: don't you. Yep? I knew. I knew before I said it.
- 6:50Speaker 1: As soon as I said it, I said them to
- 6:52Speaker 1: explain this right here, because and people always be telling
- 6:54Speaker 1: about you say something you don't mean. See what I
- 6:56Speaker 1: do is when I say something, I give you an
- 6:58Speaker 1: explanation for so you can stop all that. I ain't no,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I ain't no. Listen to me. You got to get
- 7:05Speaker 1: excited about your life. And the best way to get
- 7:07Speaker 1: excited about your life is to find your purpose. Now, okay, Steve,
- 7:10Speaker 1: That's what I've been struggling with. I can't find my purpose.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Yes you can, Yes you can. You know how you
- 7:18Speaker 1: find your purpose You get in touch with who created you,
- 7:23Speaker 1: because when God made you, he had a purpose in mind.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Now we've ignored it and we haven't tapped into it,
- 7:31Speaker 1: but we all had a purpose you don't and it's
- 7:34Speaker 1: sometimes it take people longer to discover the purpose. Colonel
- 7:38Speaker 1: Sanders was frying chicken with a recipe that he was
- 7:42Speaker 1: telling people was the best chicken in the world. Ain't
- 7:45Speaker 1: nobody believe him until he turned seventy. Why you think
- 7:50Speaker 1: the dude that's on the Kentucky Fried Chicken signs is old.
- 7:55Speaker 1: That dude ain't twining up there he oh, he oh,
- 7:59Speaker 1: But you know what, he had been frying that chicken
- 8:03Speaker 1: for forty some years. They just found out about it
- 8:08Speaker 1: when he was seventy. But he didn't give up his
- 8:12Speaker 1: purpose in life. This dude was just frying chicken. See,
- 8:15Speaker 1: people keep looking for their gifts in all kinds of
- 8:18Speaker 1: places when it's right there in you. You ain't gotta
- 8:20Speaker 1: go to school to find your gift. You're born with
- 8:23Speaker 1: the gift to God, God for you. You'll go to
- 8:26Speaker 1: school to tack it on to something else. But your
- 8:29Speaker 1: gift was already given to you. You were born with that.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You don't have to go to college to know your guilt.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Your college allows you to enhance it and to find
- 8:37Speaker 1: something to attach it to, and hopefully you get a
- 8:39Speaker 1: degree that attaches your gift to to a vehicle where
- 8:43Speaker 1: it can work. The problem with college is we go
- 8:46Speaker 1: to college and we attached it to what we like
- 8:49Speaker 1: or what we might be passionate about, and we ignore
- 8:51Speaker 1: the gift we have. You know how many people and
- 8:53Speaker 1: graduating from college ain't doing nothing they went to college for.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Come on, man, you know why, because you're discovering life,
- 8:59Speaker 1: your guilt. You discover what you was born to do.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I wasn't born. You know what I mean. You know
- 9:04Speaker 1: what my major was in college? It was advertising. I
- 9:08Speaker 1: can't be in no death, drawing, no picture for nobody.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But now guess what I can wake up every day
- 9:13Speaker 1: and guess what I can tell you. I advertised. I've
- 9:16Speaker 1: been advertising my career. Come see me live. Come see
- 9:19Speaker 1: me live at Madison Square, God, Come see me live
- 9:22Speaker 1: at Phillips Arena. Come see me live at Joker's Comedy Club.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Come see me live at Percy's. Come see me live
- 9:29Speaker 1: at Ellis's Tavern. Come see me live. Come. I've been
- 9:32Speaker 1: advertising the whole time, but I had a different purpose
- 9:36Speaker 1: in mind because I went and I talked to God.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And this is how you do it. You go talk
- 9:41Speaker 1: to God and say, hey God, look Okay, this is
- 9:43Speaker 1: the deal. I've been struggling here. I'm over forty. I
- 9:48Speaker 1: still haven't found my purpose in life. Okay, but so
- 9:51Speaker 1: I can quit wasting any more time. Would you help
- 9:54Speaker 1: direct me and guide me to my purpose? I know
- 9:57Speaker 1: you created me to do something. I just haven't found
- 10:00Speaker 1: what it is. And the reason I haven't found what
- 10:03Speaker 1: it is because I've been doing things my way. I
- 10:05Speaker 1: ain't been checking with you, confirmed with you on anything.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I ain't locked in and tried to settle it up
- 10:10Speaker 1: with you. I've been just doing my thing. Well, my
- 10:13Speaker 1: thing has gotten me as far as it can get me.
- 10:16Speaker 1: How about you take over and do your thing now?
- 10:19Speaker 1: Can you direct me in my path? I'm an open book.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Treat me like a piece of clay. I'm telling you, man,
- 10:26Speaker 1: if you go to God, he'll give it to you.
- 10:28Speaker 1: But see you have not because you asked not. How
- 10:32Speaker 1: many times have you asked God for it? This? This
- 10:36Speaker 1: ain't no magic trick, y'all. This is the deal. You
- 10:40Speaker 1: got to catch fire today. Catch fire today, I am.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'm excited about today. I've got a lot to do.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I got to go out here and see what God
- 10:49Speaker 1: God for me today. I'm shaking the bushes. Man, if
- 10:52Speaker 1: God passing out blessings, I'm in line. I am in line.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You're listening to ladies and gentlemen. This is the Steve
- 11:04Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Good morning everybody, man. I hope you listen.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I want you to have a wonderful day. I want
- 11:12Speaker 1: you to take this day that God has given us
- 11:15Speaker 1: all uh, the blessing of life, and I want you
- 11:18Speaker 1: to embrace it. Whatever's wrong, Just know that it's gonna
- 11:22Speaker 1: be all right. Whatever you're going through. I know this
- 11:26Speaker 1: God is working on your behalf in the background to
- 11:30Speaker 1: straighten some stuff out where you ain't gonna have it
- 11:32Speaker 1: as a problem no more. You just gotta be patient.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Sometimes you just got to be patient. I'm in the
- 11:39Speaker 1: middle of that right now. I'm just being patient. I
- 11:42Speaker 1: know that he's coming. He gonna rescue me. I didn't
- 11:45Speaker 1: win the bill, you you know, I really wanted that.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I know. I'm still struggling with it, trying to figure
- 11:56Speaker 1: out if I'm related to this woman down in South
- 11:58Speaker 1: Carolina out to work. I got private eyes on it.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Offinned take or DNA ancestry dot com. Hey, good morning, Steve,
- 12:10Speaker 1: how you doing. Good morning, Steve, crew, Pip j What
- 12:16Speaker 1: is going on? Man? Uh? He's a star, Steve, and
- 12:21Speaker 1: he has asked you to call him. Thomas Miles, you're
- 12:25Speaker 1: going on, Like you said, Jr. I think this stardom
- 12:28Speaker 1: is too much for him, you think for his little body? Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 1: I think I think just explode. But you know, like,
- 12:36Speaker 1: do y'all think, man, that I might have to sit
- 12:38Speaker 1: with him because I think this startoms it might be
- 12:41Speaker 1: too much for well Steve. Yeah, and when you talk
- 12:44Speaker 1: to him, he starts crying. So yeah, that's the other thing. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 1: we gotta it's gotta be some sort of happy medium here. Man. Hey, man,
- 12:52Speaker 1: let me tell you something. He gets six shows, he's
- 12:54Speaker 1: gonna have to leave radio everything. When you talk to him,
- 12:57Speaker 1: he starts crying. And when he works, he doesn't come
- 12:59Speaker 1: to to the radio shoulder shaking, whimpering and the Lord
- 13:09Speaker 1: he liked to be thanked, but not that many times
- 13:11Speaker 1: in a minute, man, he'd be overanking. Yeah, he's gonna
- 13:16Speaker 1: hate time and time I'm doing some other things, all right,
- 13:19Speaker 1: Thomas Miles crying about this show? What about I woke
- 13:23Speaker 1: you up this moment? YEA man, that's good man, You
- 13:28Speaker 1: supporting him and everything. I am Man. I'm really supporting him.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I'm a little concerned, though, I really really am now
- 13:34Speaker 1: about what now, because I think I think the stardom
- 13:37Speaker 1: is too much. Shirley, I kid you not. I've seen
- 13:39Speaker 1: it before. I've seen people that don't handle start them
- 13:42Speaker 1: goes to their head, you mean their head gets really big. Well,
- 13:46Speaker 1: that was gonna happen, you know. He started with Thomas Miles.
- 13:49Speaker 1: But it's just over. It's overtaking him. He can't handle it.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Did you see him? He said what he thought he
- 13:56Speaker 1: should weigh on the premier night. You got to be
- 14:00Speaker 1: kidding if I was, I was done when he called
- 14:04Speaker 1: Oprah last night. Oh and I was talking to Oh
- 14:08Speaker 1: and I was and he changed to change the way
- 14:10Speaker 1: he's talking now you notice that too, right, But we're
- 14:17Speaker 1: happy for your nephew. We're just kidding. We're happy for you,
- 14:20Speaker 1: all right, listen, Uh coming up at thirty two after
- 14:25Speaker 1: the hour, what a day yesterday Lord bomb threats sent
- 14:29Speaker 1: to CNN, the Clintons, the Obama's representative, Maxine Waters, and
- 14:34Speaker 1: VP UH Joe Biden and others in an act of terror.
- 14:39Speaker 1: We will talk about it right after this at thirty two,
- 14:42Speaker 1: after you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, President
- 14:47Speaker 1: Trump spoke about yesterday's multiple pipe bombs sent to the
- 14:50Speaker 1: homes or offices of the Obama's the Clintons, representative Congresswoman
- 14:55Speaker 1: Maxine Waters, Attorney General Eric Holder, billionaire George Soros, be
- 15:00Speaker 1: Walter Wasserman Schultz, and CNN and Vice President Joe Biden.
- 15:05Speaker 1: The President and the First Lady Milania Trump both spoke
- 15:08Speaker 1: about the issue at an event about opioid addiction. Take
- 15:12Speaker 1: a listen to this. The full weight of our government
- 15:15Speaker 1: is being deployed to conduct this investigation and bring those
- 15:18Speaker 1: responsible for these despicable acts to justice. We will spare
- 15:24Speaker 1: no resources or expense in this effort. And I just
- 15:29Speaker 1: want to tell you that in these times, we have
- 15:32Speaker 1: to unify. We have to come together and send one
- 15:36Speaker 1: very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of
- 15:42Speaker 1: political violence of any kind have no place in the
- 15:45Speaker 1: United States of America. Yeah, you know, you know, I
- 15:50Speaker 1: alread him reading it. I mean, it's it's okay. Let
- 15:53Speaker 1: me just say this. It's good that he said that.
- 15:56Speaker 1: It is good that he said that, you know, uh,
- 16:00Speaker 1: really appreciated his daughter Ivanka earlier. Her statement was a
- 16:05Speaker 1: lot more concise, quick to judgement. I didn't hear what
- 16:08Speaker 1: Melania said, but Ivanka delivered a quick message. And you know,
- 16:14Speaker 1: when the President was talking, I did him say the
- 16:17Speaker 1: bombs that were sent to current and former political figures,
- 16:22Speaker 1: government officials. Yeah, And so you know, I was just yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know, I man, you could have gone and say
- 16:28Speaker 1: who it is, partner, but you know, I didn't want
- 16:30Speaker 1: to nitpick that. I'll let other people do that. But
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'll tell you one thing about this incident. I can't
- 16:37Speaker 1: imagine a guy, a group, or anybody getting away with this.
- 16:42Speaker 1: There is too much forensic science and capabilities for an
- 16:47Speaker 1: atrocious act like this. And they sent it to too
- 16:50Speaker 1: many people. That was a mistake made somewhere. And when
- 16:54Speaker 1: they want to find you, they can find you. And
- 16:57Speaker 1: I got a feeling they're gonna find these people because
- 17:00Speaker 1: they sent them to too many people. And with technology
- 17:04Speaker 1: and scanning and all of that, and people with cameras
- 17:07Speaker 1: of people bringing packages in. Oh no, boy, they're scouring.
- 17:11Speaker 1: They we have to say, you know, thank god, thank
- 17:15Speaker 1: goodness for the Secret Service and the people that you
- 17:18Speaker 1: know scan these packages, because nobody was hurt, thank God. Yeah. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and you know, you gotta be really concerned about people
- 17:27Speaker 1: who work in these offices of these political figures, because
- 17:32Speaker 1: they're they're in this too. I mean it's the receptionist,
- 17:36Speaker 1: the security guards, the male room people, the cafeteria workers,
- 17:43Speaker 1: I mean everybody, and especially at CNN. Steve had a
- 17:47Speaker 1: big company. Yeah, man, you know, right, and when you
- 17:51Speaker 1: got like a you know, the president has to be
- 17:56Speaker 1: concerned about this because she wants you wants a person
- 17:59Speaker 1: feel they can get away with this. Then the copycats
- 18:03Speaker 1: come and you know, then somebody who's ignorant gonna be
- 18:08Speaker 1: talking about, Okay, this was attack on the Democrats, We're
- 18:11Speaker 1: gonna do an attack on the Republicans. Hey man, this
- 18:15Speaker 1: dangerous to let something like this exists. That's why I
- 18:18Speaker 1: think that they are going to throw the full weight
- 18:20Speaker 1: behind it and apprehend these people. And let me tell
- 18:23Speaker 1: you something, man, you can't get away with this. Oh no,
- 18:29Speaker 1: there's too much technology. They're gonna scan these packages, they're
- 18:33Speaker 1: gonna take these packages apart. They're gonna be looking at
- 18:35Speaker 1: bomb parts. They're gonna trace back uh materials used, They're
- 18:40Speaker 1: gonna find stories, they're gonna start asking questions, partner, and
- 18:45Speaker 1: they're gonna start rounding up some people. They're they're gonna
- 18:48Speaker 1: find I think the first one. They're gonna start that
- 18:51Speaker 1: as CNN because the courier dropped it off, right, a
- 18:56Speaker 1: courier dropping not a curier could be innocent. Yeah, he
- 18:58Speaker 1: could be innocent. Who gave it, partner, Oh, they did
- 19:02Speaker 1: already that, junior. You can believe they had have done that. See,
- 19:06Speaker 1: right now they know the state that came from. I
- 19:09Speaker 1: promise you they're not messing around. Oh no, man, they
- 19:13Speaker 1: know the state that comes from. Now they're gonna start
- 19:16Speaker 1: looking at and at at male centers, and start looking
- 19:21Speaker 1: at post office and they're gonna start looking at stamps
- 19:23Speaker 1: that come from a certain boy. Let me tell you something.
- 19:26Speaker 1: They're gonna be knocking on some doors by Friday. Yeah, FBI,
- 19:33Speaker 1: they little to talk. They talk all day. They ain't
- 19:37Speaker 1: got nothing to do but talk. Tell me what you know? Okay,
- 19:41Speaker 1: over there, and let me tell you something else about them.
- 19:44Speaker 1: They're pretty damn smart, partner, man, tell that to the president. Yeah, yeah,
- 19:50Speaker 1: he didn't like him a while back. Right. It's it's
- 19:53Speaker 1: some people over there, man, that do their job. And
- 19:55Speaker 1: when you commit an act like this, right, it's an
- 19:57Speaker 1: act of terrorism. Yes, yes, up, absolutely, a pipe bomb. Absolutely.
- 20:04Speaker 1: The mayor of I mean the governor of New York
- 20:06Speaker 1: called it American terrorism. He called it political terrorism, and
- 20:09Speaker 1: he called it red and blue terrorism. I mean, I
- 20:12Speaker 1: don't even want to think about that. You know, this
- 20:16Speaker 1: is the political parties going after each other with bomb.
- 20:19Speaker 1: You know, that's I don't even want to think about that.
- 20:21Speaker 1: The country is so divided though, you know, it's just divided,
- 20:25Speaker 1: and it points to one person, our leader who's supposed
- 20:28Speaker 1: to be the leader at the top everyone. Yeah. You know, look,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I don't blame him for this because you can't. His
- 20:36Speaker 1: rhetoric that he's talked about. Throw him out, punch him,
- 20:41Speaker 1: beat him up. If you get domina, I'll pay you
- 20:43Speaker 1: legal fees. That rhetoric coming from the top gets people
- 20:48Speaker 1: to thinking. And I'm not saying this is his fault,
- 20:52Speaker 1: but man, and when you look at the people that
- 20:57Speaker 1: that were targeted, all these are well he's singled out, yeah,
- 21:01Speaker 1: and they're all Democrats. Yeah, and they're all Democrats. And
- 21:06Speaker 1: look at what he can do. He can bring the
- 21:07Speaker 1: country together, you know, he doesn't have to divide it. Um. Well, anyway,
- 21:13Speaker 1: all right, um, Now, the FBI is warning the public
- 21:17Speaker 1: to remain vigilant, watchful, alert, and all all that after
- 21:21Speaker 1: these bombs and suspicious packages were intercepted. Okay, so just
- 21:26Speaker 1: to be on alert everyone the whole country. Yeah, alright,
- 21:33Speaker 1: coming up, the nephew is still out, but we're gonna
- 21:35Speaker 1: run that prank back right after this. His mouse, you
- 21:41Speaker 1: tell us a talk with him. You're listening to the
- 21:46Speaker 1: show coming up in twenty minutes after the next hour.
- 21:51Speaker 1: But Cary Sellers, CNN Political commentators for Kari Sellers, we
- 21:57Speaker 1: love him. He's gonna be a special guest to talk
- 21:59Speaker 1: about the in term elections and why this president can't
- 22:03Speaker 1: seem to unify the country. We're just talking about this.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Plus at the top of the hour and entertainment news,
- 22:09Speaker 1: Puffy finds a new funds a new charter school with
- 22:13Speaker 1: our good friend Dr Steve Perry. Right now it's time
- 22:15Speaker 1: for running that frank back. Junior is in for the nephew.

- 22:22Speaker 1: just want to say, I want you all to pray
- 22:25Speaker 1: for my nephew because I think this stardom. I thought this.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I just think it's a lot only really because he's
- 22:34Speaker 1: a little show that just aired it. Yeah, but he
- 22:38Speaker 1: you know, he crime about it every day, every day,
- 22:42Speaker 1: every day, every time you talked to He can't come
- 22:46Speaker 1: to work. You can't do a closing remall man. He

- 22:58Speaker 1: I'm serious, man, I think that this is too much
- 23:02Speaker 1: weight for him. I think, Steve, because you have so
- 23:06Speaker 1: much experience in this, I think you you still need
- 23:09Speaker 1: to just keep them close to you and keep talking
- 23:11Speaker 1: to him. I can't keep going the way. You can't

- 34:45Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, miss a trip? Do you? Thank you? Everybody?
- 34:49Speaker 1: This is a trip. An intense investigation in man hunt
- 34:52Speaker 1: underway into who constructed and sent pipe bombs to several
- 34:55Speaker 1: prominent Democrats and the CNN television network this week, with
- 34:58Speaker 1: only a couple of weeks before the all imp midterm elections.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Suspicious devices were mailed first to the home of billionaire
- 35:04Speaker 1: and liberal philanthropist George Soros, and then to the homes
- 35:07Speaker 1: of Bill and Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, to
- 35:10Speaker 1: former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wassonan Schultz in Florida.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Two packages were sent to California Congressmen Maxine Waters, a
- 35:18Speaker 1: frequent target of President Trump who's ridiculed him right back,
- 35:22Speaker 1: and the CNN's New York City headquarters, also to former
- 35:25Speaker 1: Vice President Joe Biden, and now early this morning, and
- 35:27Speaker 1: explosive devices found outside Robert De Niro's Manhattan restaurant. So
- 35:32Speaker 1: now President Trump is promising to spare no and spence
- 35:35Speaker 1: in finding all those responsible. In these times, we have
- 35:39Speaker 1: to unify, We have to come together and send one
- 35:42Speaker 1: very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of
- 35:48Speaker 1: political violence of any kind have no place in the
- 35:51Speaker 1: United States of America. Luckily, nobody has been hurt, but
- 35:54Speaker 1: House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck
- 35:57Speaker 1: Schumer have issued a joint statement pointing fingers squarely at
- 36:01Speaker 1: the President for all this ugliness, saying that quote time
- 36:04Speaker 1: and time again, the President has condoned physical violence and
- 36:07Speaker 1: divided Americans with his words and his actions. And the
- 36:10Speaker 1: president of CNN Worldwide, Jeff zucker He accuses the Trump
- 36:13Speaker 1: administration of demonizing journalists. He tweets that quote. The President
- 36:17Speaker 1: and especially the White House Press Secretary should understand that
- 36:20Speaker 1: their words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension
- 36:25Speaker 1: of that. By the way, the search again for the
- 36:27Speaker 1: culprit or couporates continued. CIA director Gina Haspell has reportedly
- 36:31Speaker 1: heard the audio tape of Washington Post reporter Jamaica Shoji
- 36:34Speaker 1: his torture and his murder while in Turkey this week.
- 36:37Speaker 1: She's to breathe the President on that later on Today,
- 36:39Speaker 1: a jury has found three people, an executive of the
- 36:42Speaker 1: sports where company Adidas, a basketball consultant, aspiring sports agent,
- 36:46Speaker 1: all guilty of charges and what prosecutors say was a
- 36:48Speaker 1: scheme to secretly pay the father of a hot basketball
- 36:52Speaker 1: prospect to attend the University of Louisville Union sipals do
- 36:54Speaker 1: that stuff. Early voting began in several states this week.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Early balloting has now begun in Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Massachusetts,
- 37:03Speaker 1: New Jersey, in Texas, it begins today in Maryland, and
- 37:06Speaker 1: tomorrow it begins in District of Columbia's that's early voting.
- 37:09Speaker 1: And finally today is National Greasy Foods Day. Ribs two fifty.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Let me get one one rib, manta, one rib to go,
- 37:27Speaker 1: one rib unal as it it's a Steve Harby nation
- 37:33Speaker 1: or you need is one rib? Well, yeah, that's because
- 37:35Speaker 1: you took a rib we took. But let's like to
- 37:37Speaker 1: get biblical. Find out if Uncle Steve is smarter than
- 37:40Speaker 1: his nephew. You'll find that up twenty minutes after the
- 37:42Speaker 1: hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:45Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Everybody. I told you we're gonna
- 37:49Speaker 1: have a special guest this morning. He's one of the
- 37:52Speaker 1: youngest state representatives and the youngest black elected official in
- 37:55Speaker 1: the United States. He is currently a political correspondent for CNN.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I invited him on the show because I love him.
- 38:02Speaker 1: He's one of my favorite dudes on TV period. His
- 38:06Speaker 1: insight be spot on for us. Man, ladies, Gentleen, please
- 38:09Speaker 1: welcome to the show. Mr Boccari sell us. Let's go on. Correct.
- 38:15Speaker 1: We love him? Man, Thank God so much to add
- 38:17Speaker 1: it's always a blessing when I could see on and
- 38:19Speaker 1: uh be a small kid from a small town called Denmark,
- 38:24Speaker 1: South Carolina, be on the Thank you so much, Denmark,
- 38:27Speaker 1: South Carolina. Yeah, three stoplights in a blinking light. We
- 38:30Speaker 1: got a weed bakery with a minute nights cook every morning,
- 38:33Speaker 1: come through. Want boy, you gonna get boy, gonna name
- 38:37Speaker 1: with street after, You're gonna put a school up and everything. Yeah,
- 38:41Speaker 1: hey man, let's go First of all, you know you're
- 38:44Speaker 1: at CNN, So what's the climate over there. I know
- 38:46Speaker 1: there's a big scale for everybody at Seeing Inn, But
- 38:50Speaker 1: what's going on at Seeing then? How does it relate
- 38:52Speaker 1: to the White House? What all have you heard? First?
- 38:55Speaker 1: And almost is fear? And I think you understand that, Steve.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Imagine if you are at work and the people who
- 39:00Speaker 1: do your makeup, in your hair, the people who are
- 39:02Speaker 1: around you and make sure your suits are fresh when
- 39:05Speaker 1: you walk out or do your teleprontit. Just imagine if
- 39:08Speaker 1: something comes to the studio and Steve Harvey's name. Um,
- 39:12Speaker 1: but takes away all their lives. Um, you would feel
- 39:15Speaker 1: some sort of way about that. And and so for us,
- 39:18Speaker 1: it's not about Don Lemon or Anderson Cooper or even
- 39:22Speaker 1: Jeff Zucker. It's not about the people who make you know,
- 39:25Speaker 1: a million dollars and two billion dollars a year or
- 39:27Speaker 1: hal condos in New York City. I mean, it's about
- 39:30Speaker 1: everybody who makes those shows work. And so you're invoking fear.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I mean, my law offices in Columbia, South Carolina, and
- 39:37Speaker 1: we had to yesterday put in a new protocol for
- 39:41Speaker 1: mail because I'm a commentator. And so you have a
- 39:44Speaker 1: receptionist who has nothing to do with politics at all,
- 39:48Speaker 1: but now has apprehension and fear. So I mean it's fear.
- 39:51Speaker 1: And you look to the president and that it says
- 39:53Speaker 1: to reassure you. But you have Donald Trump. You know,
- 39:57Speaker 1: it's it's hard for me to expect any level of
- 40:00Speaker 1: genuine compassion. You know, we were all listening to the
- 40:04Speaker 1: finally the speech he gave after Ivanka had issued her statements,
- 40:08Speaker 1: and as he was reading, I just went, Okay, this
- 40:12Speaker 1: is nice, but is that him? Well, I mean, first
- 40:15Speaker 1: of all, I don't have any level of expectation for him,
- 40:19Speaker 1: and I think that, Um, when we want to go
- 40:22Speaker 1: in and have some level of expectation, we're fool hearted.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Donald Trump has been the same person his entire life
- 40:28Speaker 1: and partner. If I get in trouble for saying this,
- 40:30Speaker 1: but if you ever expect a white man would send me,
- 40:33Speaker 1: you know, to change who they are today, then you
- 40:35Speaker 1: are fooling yourself. Um. And so I don't expect Donald
- 40:39Speaker 1: Trump to change at all he is. He's shown us
- 40:42Speaker 1: who he had been. Hey, hey, guys, hang on, bacar
- 40:45Speaker 1: hold on one segment. We'll be back, y'all more with
- 40:48Speaker 1: Bacard Sellers right after this. You're listening, all right, everybody,
- 40:54Speaker 1: We're back. We're talking with attorney, political analysts, and commentator.
- 41:00Speaker 1: He's one of the youngest politicians elected to the Senate.
- 41:04Speaker 1: We'll talk with the car sellers today. Um, this is
- 41:07Speaker 1: what I wanted everybody understand. People want to play at
- 41:09Speaker 1: both sides are that they want to say, well, democrats
- 41:11Speaker 1: are harassing people in restaurants. Well, there's a vast difference
- 41:14Speaker 1: between expressing your First Amendment right and sending bombs to
- 41:18Speaker 1: people's homes. There's a generation of people who have seen
- 41:22Speaker 1: Emmett Till and Mecca Evers, they've seen Martin Malcolm and Rosa,
- 41:26Speaker 1: but they've also seen r P and JF. Camp. But
- 41:28Speaker 1: now we're living through that same thing where we understand
- 41:32Speaker 1: how political rhetoric can take away your leaders. And so
- 41:35Speaker 1: these bombs aren't going at Devin Noonez's homes. They're going
- 41:38Speaker 1: to Maxim Warner's there. It's not going to it's not
- 41:41Speaker 1: going to Mitt Romney's home. It's going to Hillary Clinton.
- 41:44Speaker 1: It's not going to George Bush. It's going to Barack Obama.
- 41:47Speaker 1: There's there's something going on in this country. Uh, and
- 41:50Speaker 1: we need to deal with it. Yeah, man, And I
- 41:52Speaker 1: think it just gets clear to me when the person
- 41:56Speaker 1: that was elected not by all of us, but who
- 42:00Speaker 1: one the election to govern, uses the platform to separate
- 42:04Speaker 1: the very people that he governed. And these attacks on
- 42:08Speaker 1: the very people that you mentioned were the very ones
- 42:11Speaker 1: targeted by this act of terrorism. And um, I'm just
- 42:15Speaker 1: really go ahead, No, I'm thankful that you called it
- 42:18Speaker 1: such like a lot of people don't understand that you
- 42:21Speaker 1: called it terrorism. And because you called it terrorism, everybody
- 42:24Speaker 1: who's listening to listening to our voice. We'll call it
- 42:27Speaker 1: such because that's what it is, because it invokes fear.
- 42:31Speaker 1: And so there are people right now who are doing
- 42:33Speaker 1: their job every day. Had seen in who are doing
- 42:35Speaker 1: their job with Maxine Water's office in Compton, California, who
- 42:40Speaker 1: are doing their jobs, just trying to make sure that
- 42:43Speaker 1: they can provide for their families. But they're afraid because
- 42:46Speaker 1: people are sending pipe bombs to their offices because of
- 42:50Speaker 1: their political views. I mean, imagine, just think about where
- 42:53Speaker 1: we are as a country. Yeah, this form of hatred
- 42:57Speaker 1: is being spewed from the top and manifest itself in
- 43:01Speaker 1: pipe bombs when you get down to them people. But
- 43:03Speaker 1: to only us, Steve, what about the other Republicans? Nobody's
- 43:06Speaker 1: saying anything, you know, just because it was Democrats that
- 43:09Speaker 1: got targeted until and again I said this a lot,
- 43:13Speaker 1: but until white evangelical Republicans stand up and say enough
- 43:17Speaker 1: is enough, then we won't get anywhere. I mean, the
- 43:21Speaker 1: owners is on somebody. I mean, we can we can
- 43:24Speaker 1: talk about this all day, but but we're just talking
- 43:28Speaker 1: about issues amongst us negroes. I mean, until somebody stands
- 43:32Speaker 1: up and says, you know, let's let's let's fix this problem.
- 43:36Speaker 1: And won't be six. Man, I'm just so messed up
- 43:39Speaker 1: what you said about white evangelicals. The Republicans be card
- 43:44Speaker 1: and I've been saying this for a week now, a
- 43:47Speaker 1: little bit more than a week, really tell you the truth.
- 43:49Speaker 1: The Republicans were touted as the moral party, the moral party,
- 43:56Speaker 1: and they built this morality on a bortion rights, immigration,
- 44:01Speaker 1: immigration laws. Gays. You know, gays can't get married, they
- 44:05Speaker 1: can't get the same privileges. We gotta stop these illegal immigrants.
- 44:08Speaker 1: This is the hypocrisy of this that's getting on my
- 44:12Speaker 1: nerves what I've tried to say because I played golf
- 44:15Speaker 1: with old rich Republicans and brother, and let me tell
- 44:20Speaker 1: you something, man, this is really how they talk and think.
- 44:24Speaker 1: So it's nothing new for them. But they're on perfect course.
- 44:27Speaker 1: So here we go. We get these evangelicals to come along,
- 44:31Speaker 1: and they're supposed to be the moral party, and we
- 44:33Speaker 1: against the boorstion and gay rights and all this hip,
- 44:36Speaker 1: and the Republicans tout that, Well, excuse me, but they're
- 44:40Speaker 1: trying to say that letting these immigrants in here will
- 44:43Speaker 1: cost these jobs. The immigrants have coming over here. They
- 44:46Speaker 1: don't do the jobs that we won't and rich people
- 44:51Speaker 1: on these farms that hide these undocumented people and want
- 44:56Speaker 1: them to work because they get them for a cheaper
- 44:58Speaker 1: labor force and they get more money. And then they
- 45:00Speaker 1: turned around and act like Republicans don't get abortions. I'm
- 45:04Speaker 1: loving the state. But this is, this is what we have.
- 45:07Speaker 1: This is this is the point of our discussion today
- 45:10Speaker 1: because on November six, all of those people who look
- 45:13Speaker 1: like men you, who go to these barbershops too, who
- 45:15Speaker 1: go to these ami churches, I mean, we have a
- 45:18Speaker 1: chance to change that. Like we for a long period
- 45:21Speaker 1: of time has have forgotten that we have these rights
- 45:24Speaker 1: to vote and participate. So this is our right to
- 45:27Speaker 1: participate in vote and we have to do that. That's
- 45:30Speaker 1: important to everyone. So we gotta we gotta play our role.
- 45:33Speaker 1: And that's my only point. And then hold on, hold
- 45:37Speaker 1: on right that man, We're gonna come right back. We
- 45:39Speaker 1: got more with the car sellers right after this. Don't
- 45:42Speaker 1: go away. We're gonna get into some more very important
- 45:44Speaker 1: issues with this back. Hey, we're back, everybody, We're back.
- 45:52Speaker 1: We've got our special guests, Senn correspondence and politician attorney
- 45:56Speaker 1: Bacary Sellers, who's whose insight is always has been so
- 46:00Speaker 1: spot on, and if we're here today, we're talking about
- 46:04Speaker 1: just the condition of our country and politics and the
- 46:06Speaker 1: bombing yesterday. So before we left Picard, we were on
- 46:10Speaker 1: the subject of the climate that's in this country. Man. Yeah,
- 46:14Speaker 1: I mean I think that the climate is dangerous. I
- 46:16Speaker 1: mean it's more than dangerous. I mean. So I'm at
- 46:20Speaker 1: a different point in my life right now, and so
- 46:22Speaker 1: I look at the world different. I'm supposed to have
- 46:24Speaker 1: two twins that enter this world in January, rights, you know, congratulations.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I hope they come and December, so I can get
- 46:32Speaker 1: attached right on. Well, we're talking about this, but I mean,
- 46:43Speaker 1: what what what world do I want them to live
- 46:45Speaker 1: in where their father, just for speaking truth can get
- 46:50Speaker 1: a bomb delivered to their office. I mean, think about that.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I mean, we're not talking about the right or left.
- 46:56Speaker 1: We're not talking about black or white. We're talking about humanity.
- 46:59Speaker 1: And there are a lot of people out here who
- 47:01Speaker 1: don't give us the benefit of our humanity. And I
- 47:03Speaker 1: remind people of that all the time, because what what
- 47:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey has shown the rest of us is that
- 47:10Speaker 1: if you give us the benefit of our humanity, and
- 47:12Speaker 1: if you equalize the playing field and give us a
- 47:15Speaker 1: dance floor. We can dance better than most, we can
- 47:18Speaker 1: run faster than everybody, and so yeah, I just want
- 47:21Speaker 1: an opportunity. I don't want to I don't want to
- 47:24Speaker 1: hand out. I just want to hand up. But you
- 47:27Speaker 1: you can't threaten to kill me because I'm speaking my
- 47:30Speaker 1: truth to power and that's the fear that everyone has.
- 47:33Speaker 1: And so that's why, like, November six is a big
- 47:36Speaker 1: day and I and I lived with that my whole
- 47:38Speaker 1: life because of what my my dad went to went through.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Our sex is a big day because we all had that,
- 47:44Speaker 1: right man, I listened Applies earlier to day on Instagram plies.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I want you to know. Applies is one of the
- 47:53Speaker 1: most brilliant applies than most people give them credit for.
- 48:00Speaker 1: So I Applies was talking today about rooting, and you know,
- 48:03Speaker 1: I think that we have to have everyone from Barack
- 48:07Speaker 1: Obama Applies telling us that we need to get out
- 48:11Speaker 1: and everybody needs to get off their high horse and
- 48:14Speaker 1: make sure that they spend thirty minutes because if y'all
- 48:16Speaker 1: purchased a lottery ticket this week, the line, y'all can
- 48:20Speaker 1: afford to stand in line to vote. Hey man, let
- 48:24Speaker 1: me tell you something. If everybody vote that bought a
- 48:27Speaker 1: lottery ticket, we can put anybody in off this we want, man, Man,
- 48:33Speaker 1: but I got some names. I got some names. So
- 48:35Speaker 1: I want to put Andrew Gilliman office. I want to
- 48:38Speaker 1: put yeah, and I mean I want Sean Shows. Like,
- 48:42Speaker 1: what people don't even know is there's a there's there's
- 48:44Speaker 1: a black guy named Sean Shaw running for attorney general.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Why is attorney general important? Because they pushed back on
- 48:51Speaker 1: all the laws that come from the Department of Justice
- 48:53Speaker 1: and the federal government. They are the people who signed
- 48:55Speaker 1: onto those lawsuits. I mean, just Mike Spy in Mississippi
- 48:59Speaker 1: and think if we can get a black senator from Mississippi. Wow,
- 49:05Speaker 1: you know, man, you're so correct. This this voting mere
- 49:08Speaker 1: terms are always traditionally underserved in voting capacities. Nowhere near
- 49:14Speaker 1: like the four year election. But it has to be different, Man.
- 49:17Speaker 1: We can change things if we don't get a balance
- 49:21Speaker 1: in the House and the Senate to stop some of
- 49:24Speaker 1: this foolishness, some of this one sided thinking. Man, we
- 49:29Speaker 1: are going to suffer for a long long time and
- 49:33Speaker 1: unnecessarily because we can change all of this on November six, Man,
- 49:38Speaker 1: and then we got to give people a reason too.
- 49:40Speaker 1: And so for me personally, my reason is two little
- 49:43Speaker 1: people who aren't here yet, and I'm tired of people
- 49:47Speaker 1: making decisions for me. And so I want everybody to
- 49:50Speaker 1: understand that there are people who do not look like us,
- 49:53Speaker 1: who do not think like us, who do not believe
- 49:55Speaker 1: the same things that we believe, who do not even
- 49:58Speaker 1: give us the benefit of our humanity, who are making
- 50:00Speaker 1: decisions for us. And so if you want to make
- 50:03Speaker 1: sure that your grandmother gets healthcare, that your children's getting
- 50:06Speaker 1: acts as the first class education, that your babies actually
- 50:09Speaker 1: get prenatal care, that you have insurance, I mean that
- 50:13Speaker 1: you get a minimum way that you can live on.
- 50:14Speaker 1: And you're not working for seven fifty or eight fifty
- 50:17Speaker 1: or nine fifty, but you can work for fifteen. I mean,
- 50:20Speaker 1: then you need to actually show up. I mean that
- 50:23Speaker 1: that's what it is about. Yeah, it's so much, man.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I just I've appreciated you so much this year. Um,
- 50:30Speaker 1: you know, Kanye was in the news and transition when
- 50:37Speaker 1: you were talking don't have a se I just went
- 50:41Speaker 1: on into it because I watched CNN for the for
- 50:44Speaker 1: the news. Then I flip over the Fox. So I
- 50:47Speaker 1: because My father always told me pay attention to what
- 50:51Speaker 1: the other folks is say, a son, you gotta know
- 50:53Speaker 1: what they're saying about, yeah, man, because man, they take
- 50:57Speaker 1: every truth. When you watch Fox, Donald Trump can do
- 51:00Speaker 1: no wrong. Everything he does is great. And I'm sitting
- 51:03Speaker 1: here going you all have got to know this is
- 51:05Speaker 1: non presidential. But nothing is more important than people in power,
- 51:09Speaker 1: than power position and money. And they will do and
- 51:13Speaker 1: say anything to maintain power, position and money. But when
- 51:18Speaker 1: I turned you on and Don lemon In and Anderson
- 51:21Speaker 1: Cooper and Chris Cuomo, so I can get, man, what
- 51:25Speaker 1: we really got to get focused on him, Well, let
- 51:29Speaker 1: me just say that. Let me let me let me
- 51:30Speaker 1: say something about Kanye West, because you brought it up.
- 51:33Speaker 1: My whole point is that we're at a point in
- 51:35Speaker 1: time where we can't run backwards, where we have to
- 51:38Speaker 1: make sure that we are articulate enough, educated enough, well
- 51:43Speaker 1: read enough. And my only point to this is that
- 51:47Speaker 1: I don't want anybody out there, anybody who's thinking about
- 51:50Speaker 1: growing up and thinking great dreams, to think that anti
- 51:53Speaker 1: intellectualism is cool, because it's not. Because you don't have
- 51:57Speaker 1: to have all the degrees in the world, but what
- 51:59Speaker 1: you have to do is have this insatiable desire to
- 52:02Speaker 1: learn as much as possible. And I want people to
- 52:04Speaker 1: understand that that that's a value added and Kanye West
- 52:08Speaker 1: don't represent that, and those people right now they want
- 52:11Speaker 1: to champion him as being the hero. And it's fun.
- 52:14Speaker 1: It's ironic to me because you know, back when George
- 52:17Speaker 1: Bush don't like black people, they didn't want West. Oh Man,
- 52:22Speaker 1: and I mean gave him a full audience inside the
- 52:25Speaker 1: over office. Here. Here's the thing that disturbed me the
- 52:28Speaker 1: most of anything. When you put this hat on and
- 52:32Speaker 1: you say this make America Again hat, It was like
- 52:36Speaker 1: a super cape to you as a black person. I
- 52:40Speaker 1: asked him. I want to ask everybody, what period of
- 52:45Speaker 1: time are you talking about going back to to make
- 52:49Speaker 1: America great? That was cool for us. So I was
- 52:52Speaker 1: born in the fifties. I'm telling you it was nothing.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I grew up as a child in the sixties. I
- 52:59Speaker 1: became a teenage in the seventies. WHOA wait a minute, Matt,
- 53:03Speaker 1: I don't want to do none of that again. So
- 53:04Speaker 1: where we got to go back to to get America
- 53:07Speaker 1: great again? What you want? The farties, the fatties? Where
- 53:11Speaker 1: are we going? Where y'all think America was great? You
- 53:14Speaker 1: think we want to I tell everybody. I tell all
- 53:17Speaker 1: my friends on the right, and these new Black Conservatives,
- 53:19Speaker 1: they're coming out, all twelve of all the new twelve
- 53:22Speaker 1: Black Republicans, like it's like they aligned. They just crossed,
- 53:27Speaker 1: they just crossed the string. But what I tell them
- 53:30Speaker 1: all is what I tell them all is that, look,
- 53:32Speaker 1: I don't stand on Kanye west shoulders. I've been on
- 53:35Speaker 1: the shoulders of Walter Scott, Trayvon Party samyor right Eric Garner,
- 53:40Speaker 1: all these Tandrew Bland, all these young black men and
- 53:42Speaker 1: women who have been killed unarmed at the hands of police.
- 53:47Speaker 1: And Kanye West came articulate how we fixed that problem.
- 53:51Speaker 1: So I have no I have no need for that,
- 53:54Speaker 1: a use for that. If Kanye wants, Kanye West wants
- 53:57Speaker 1: to take a picture with Donald Trump, so be it.
- 54:00Speaker 1: But we just need to be honest with ourselves about
- 54:01Speaker 1: what it is. Yeah. If if Donald Trump, what's the
- 54:06Speaker 1: father I never had? Let me tell you something, how
- 54:11Speaker 1: can you do this? Car? November six is our day.
- 54:16Speaker 1: We try to get everybody to show up for get
- 54:18Speaker 1: him down in Florida for a Georgia Mike stm, Mississippi,
- 54:24Speaker 1: Mandela Barnes in Minnesota. We need Kirston sent them money Arizona.
- 54:29Speaker 1: I mean, the list goes on and on and on,
- 54:30Speaker 1: but I want everybody to know that work is not
- 54:32Speaker 1: done on the six because I'm gonna lean on you.
- 54:35Speaker 1: And I'm very grateful for you being not just a
- 54:37Speaker 1: platform but an example because we don't have a lot
- 54:41Speaker 1: of wealth in our communities and we don't know how
- 54:42Speaker 1: to get it, but you're working hard and showing us
- 54:44Speaker 1: how to how to at least enhance our platforms and
- 54:48Speaker 1: grow our platforms give ourselves a voice. Is very valuable.
- 54:51Speaker 1: So from the bottom of my heart, thank you to
- 54:53Speaker 1: you and your crew man. Thank you card selling you
- 54:56Speaker 1: the best man. Tell everybody over there we said we're
- 54:58Speaker 1: praying for him. Tell them to be safe and be aware.
- 55:01Speaker 1: All right, thank you. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 55:07Speaker 1: All right, Steve, it's time for today's Strawberry Letter, and
- 55:10Speaker 1: if you need advice and relationships on dating, work, sex, parenting,
- 55:14Speaker 1: and more, submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey FM
- 55:18Speaker 1: dot com and click submit Strawberry Letter. Right, Steve, that's
- 55:23Speaker 1: exactly right, Shirley so that was with a little more enthusiasm.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I like that one. I could take that one. Yeah, well,
- 55:31Speaker 1: superstar here, He's not superstars back here. So I'm gonna
- 55:38Speaker 1: introduce my friend Mark Garl Shutty Strawberry, what a strawberry letter,
- 55:42Speaker 1: until he returned, thank you, my friend, Steve. I gotta say,
- 55:45Speaker 1: you're gonna love this letter. It's for you. Subject from
- 55:49Speaker 1: the subject on down, my musty man. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I've been with my man for three years, and we
- 55:57Speaker 1: started living together seven months ago. I'm a nurse and
- 56:00Speaker 1: he does construction work. I love his work ethic and
- 56:04Speaker 1: his commitment to his job and the long hours he
- 56:07Speaker 1: puts in. When he comes home from work, he washes
- 56:09Speaker 1: his clothes, takes a shower, we eat, and then we
- 56:13Speaker 1: go to bed. But here's the problem. Throughout the night,
- 56:16Speaker 1: while he's sleeping, he sweats really bad. His pillow is
- 56:21Speaker 1: drenched and the mattress on his side is wet too,
- 56:25Speaker 1: And I have to let the bed dry out daily
- 56:27Speaker 1: and change our bed linens more often than I should.
- 56:30Speaker 1: I can't stand it, so I mentioned to him that
- 56:33Speaker 1: he should see a doctor. He said, he doesn't want
- 56:36Speaker 1: to take time off from work, and that it's normal
- 56:38Speaker 1: for people to get hot while they're asleep. Most mornings,
- 56:41Speaker 1: he is up and out before me. I've watched him
- 56:44Speaker 1: getting ready for work many mornings, and I can't believe
- 56:47Speaker 1: how nasty this grown man is. After being drenched in
- 56:51Speaker 1: sweat the night before and having an odor he will
- 56:55Speaker 1: brush his teeth, put on clean underwear, and put on
- 56:58Speaker 1: clean clothes and head out to work. When I told
- 57:01Speaker 1: him how nasty that is, he said that he's a
- 57:04Speaker 1: construction worker, so he will get sweaty at work anyway,
- 57:09Speaker 1: So it's okay for a grown man to leave the
- 57:12Speaker 1: house Musty. I am hoping this relationship lasts, but I
- 57:16Speaker 1: can't deal with his hygiene. How can I get through
- 57:19Speaker 1: to him? Well, I'm gonna say this. First of all,
- 57:22Speaker 1: Musty is not sexy, Okay, I'm just gonna say that.
- 57:26Speaker 1: And also, you know, people say that you don't really
- 57:28Speaker 1: know a person until you live with them. Okay, but
- 57:31Speaker 1: several things here are going on. I do agree with
- 57:36Speaker 1: you that it could be something medical. It could. I'll
- 57:39Speaker 1: ask you the most obvious questions first, like how's the
- 57:42Speaker 1: temperature in the bedroom? Does he wear deodorant to bed?
- 57:45Speaker 1: How's the linen, you know, after you take a takes
- 57:48Speaker 1: a shower. How's the linen on your bed? Um? What
- 57:51Speaker 1: does he sleep in? What? What do you guys eat
- 57:55Speaker 1: before you go to bed? Because if this food is
- 57:57Speaker 1: if the food is like really spicy and stuff, this
- 58:00Speaker 1: could cause sweating um U. If the room is too hot,
- 58:03Speaker 1: that could be an issue. The betting might be too heavy,
- 58:06Speaker 1: or if he sleeps in hot pjas or does he
- 58:09Speaker 1: wear deodorant? I mean, these could all be problematic. He's right,
- 58:13Speaker 1: people do get hot sometimes while they're asleep. But if
- 58:18Speaker 1: it's like you say, and it does sound excessive, I
- 58:23Speaker 1: know you're frustrated, but if you really want this relationship
- 58:26Speaker 1: to last, you have to calm down and uh and
- 58:29Speaker 1: talk to him in a mature, sensible way about his hygiene.
- 58:33Speaker 1: You know, you guys have been together three years and
- 58:35Speaker 1: you gotta tell him how this affects you and how
- 58:37Speaker 1: it could affect your future together. And I'll say it again,
- 58:41Speaker 1: Musty is not sexy, Steve, all right, let me just
- 58:47Speaker 1: go and deal with this ladder with the truth. Surely
- 58:51Speaker 1: you and this lady trip Oh really, yeah, I'm sick
- 58:54Speaker 1: of y'all. Okay, he sweat so they him. What the
- 59:02Speaker 1: man been at work all day, he come home, he shower,
- 59:07Speaker 1: he cleaned. You ain't tripping. Y'all eat dinner, you left
- 59:12Speaker 1: out some stuff, y'all do some things, then y'all go
- 59:16Speaker 1: to bed. Now, my man sweat profusely while he's sleeping.
- 59:23Speaker 1: His pillows drenched, his side of the mattresses drenched. And
- 59:27Speaker 1: it's causing you to change the limits more often than
- 59:30Speaker 1: you want. Okay, yo, man sweat so damn what you defending? Oh,
- 59:42Speaker 1: you ain't gonna like my answer at all. Dude in
- 59:47Speaker 1: here and he working, coming in here, working, trying to
- 59:50Speaker 1: make any Now you'd tone him. He needs to go
- 59:52Speaker 1: to a damn doctor. Now guess what he told you.
- 59:57Speaker 1: He can't take off work, go no doctor about no squam.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Let me tell you what you could do. They got
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: golf shirts. That's called dry fit fabrics. You are to
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: get him some golf shirts and some golf pants to
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: sleep in all that absorbed sweat while you playing. Well,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: when you walk through the club house, you still look dry.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: That's why they called the fabric dry fit, because it
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: don't be stuck to you like cotton. No, I'm not
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: just to nothing. Shirley because you're and this woman got
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: on me and Funking nerves his name. Man, men funk
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: it just like Funking used to be on the radio.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Not be cause he had a body older. I love
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: because Funky with Jeff Funky with it now he funk
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: it with it now me and Funky don't like this hill.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Now he cleaned for he go to bed. Now he
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: don't want to go to doctor. Now you're mad, but hit,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: what make you really? Man? This man gets up and
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: you can't believe how nasty he is. He brushes his teeth,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: puts on clean clothes and draws and go to work
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: after he'd been sweating. Wait a minute, he right here,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: construction worker? What is he shine for? The god? Dig holes?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Can whill barren runner jack hamble you down that nursing,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: wiping up stuff, giving people medicine, giving people a shot, naves.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: That's all you doing? That your job? He down here hauling.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I don't care what she saved him live here in
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: that saving lives. He building bridges, filling potholes on the street. Here,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: construction worker, I'm defending him because I was a construction worker.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: You were in construction worker two yeah. Yeah. My daddy
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: wasn't construction worker. Both my brother would construction work if
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I hadn't went to college. That's where I was gonna be.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Construction work. Yeah, construction worker. Strong man. I work construction
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: my dadd at three summers. Y'all send stink work, she said.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: She told titled it my musty man. You mustan man
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: been sweating? Did he get him? You want him to shower?
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: So he go to work and stank again? What? What
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: what do that? He? Wait? Wait wait, wait, wait wait
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: wait wait you ent tell me I'm gonna go out here.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Run this Jack Hammel Wait, hold on, Steve, hold hold
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that thought, hold that thought. We'll have holding Steve angry
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: response after the hour, right after this. You're listening, Steve
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Hardy morning. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap the recap.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I did not write the letter. Stop at I'm not
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: mad at him. I just think they need to have
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: a serious conversation because she doesn't like it. Must six
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: You want Musty's not sexy? Okay, that is the subject
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: of the letter my musty Man. A lady wrote in
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: she's been with her man for three years uh and
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: seven months ago they started living together. Everything's fine. He
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: goes to work, he comes home, he's committed. He gets home,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: he takes the shower, washes his clothes, They eat, go
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to bed. During bedtime, he sweats like a pig all night.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: She has to get up in the morning, dry out
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the bed, the mattress, the pillow, all this stuff. And
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: he has an odor. So what really ticks her off?
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: That he has an odor? Right here, she just said,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: after being drenched and sweat the night before and having
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: an odor, he's different. That's that's not working out. Different
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: degrees of older. Now if he had been doing active
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Oh no, active funk is different from relaxing. Okay, what's
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: the odor to her? And she doesn't like it? Yeah, well,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: she a nurse. Do something. Bring a shot home from
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the clinic tomorrow. Give your man something, some pedia light
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: or something. What you think of work gives that. I
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: don't know what new faun. He might need to be hydrated,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: he might need to be during the daytime. But he's sweating.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: He's doing good. He probably got a lot of salt
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: build up in him and that thing. But what I'm
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: nothing to do is let y'all bother this brother going
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: to work making these ends me. You're gonna make that's
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: be by your damn self, lady, you know, ungrateful to
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: every day, every day bringing that money home. He ain't
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: cheating on you or nothing. You're gonna lead his man
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: because he's stink. He leaves the house musty, he going
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: to get mustak mad. He's gonna take a bad foe.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: He get home and get in that bad as he should.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: And there ain't no problem. He does what he's supposed
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: to do. And the man don't want to take off
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: to go down to no damn doctor she a nurse,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: research him. I find out what's wrong with your man.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Get some medicine out that cabinet, put it in his coffee,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: and get your man back. You're gonna leave hell give
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: him a shot. But damn what Sometimes medicine makes you sweat. Medicine, Yeah,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: sometimes you can take too much. Medicine that'll make it well,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: all right, Medicine that make you stop? I think, what
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: is that? Hy Let me explain to you what you do,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: what you do, say it nicely? What? Because you have
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: an attitude? Right now? Every time he gets through shop,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I want you to get a can of Thompson's water
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: seal to get some of the nurse gloves and just
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: pat it on it, pour it in his towel, so
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: when he's drying, he's actually coating himself in Thompson's dick
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: water seal for an outside at your house when patio furniture.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Do you want some help on you? That's what I'm
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: timing back. I like your attitude. I like to put
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: some water seal or bad got something too home? Deep
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: ot seal, bad water seal. You get water seal for humans.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I don't know nothing about no human. You know this stuff?
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Stop stop water floating, that's right, yea. Or you can
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: get rock salt. Rock salt. They make that dealer. That
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: whole food that's supposed to be good for you is
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: made out of crisp. You rub it on it. Don't
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: stop no steak, but to keep you from being wet.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Rubbed that on it and keep your man and your family.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: But don't call me no more about no man that's
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: working and bringing the money home. Now you're mad because
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: he's sweating in the bed at night at least heat
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: are Yeah, it's a lot of musty unemployed people around here. Yeah,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: unemployed setting up that thing how about them mustard means
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: some of y'all got that sleeping with other women? How
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: about that he coming home every night? Now you're a nurse.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Now you mad because he won't take a shower in
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: the morning. You ain't fitting to see him. He's going
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: to work being around some other mustards me and you
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: don't know who he worked with. Well, it seems like
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: it seems like the shower doesn't last through the night. Well,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: it ain't got to shell it. What this is her issue?
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Hold up, you was on hussle. Well, no, Musty isn't sexy,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Steve so, but he ain't gonna be musty. An he
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: come back home. He showered every day. Enjoy that moment
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: right there because he finn't get in his bed and
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: get wet. Yeah. Now my question is are you show
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: him peeing on this That's that A lot of times
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: you say the mattress is so and you gotta make
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: shure to grown as man there just being on this slf,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: because that could be it. He wakes up every night
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: I mean drenched. Yeah, that's what if you pee on yourself,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: if you farted. He's he laying over there? Man? She
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: didn't say p Yeah, she said sweat. She she ain't
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: checked it. She tries the mattress out everything. How you
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: tested you know how you spoon at night with your lover. Yeah,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I want you to get on the inside of him,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: so your backside be up against his front side. Come morning,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: you'll know if it's p or not. Maybe she needs
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: to turn the temperature down. Turn that damn temperature down.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Get that room cold. You made that room like Marjorie
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: got our room on ice, meat locker. Marjorie's mama room
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: is a meat locker. Man. I go see Margree's parents
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: and Memphis Pop be sitting up there with a coat on. Damn.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I feel I gotta wear a hoodie around my house
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: half the time. Yeah, she in here hot. I don't
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: want to keep saying nothing because then you know, I
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: said something one time that was kind of crazy. So
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: all right, we gotta get out of here. Steve something

- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Do we care about the people that gotta figure it out? Listen,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: all this rhetoric is gonna cause problems right now. And
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: people need to take responsibility for the stuff. They say.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: See how I'm humorous, but I'm pulling it at the
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: same time, you gotta take responsibility for this stuff. And
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: if they don't take responsibility for this stuff, FBI gonna
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: find out who did it. If we got to go

- 1:12:11Speaker 1: did this. But y'all ain't scared nobody. We haven't been
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: through this before, my right brothers, we haven't been through
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: this before, So you're not scared us. We're going to vote.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: We're gonna do what we need to do. We're gonna
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: make America right again, not make it great. We're gonna
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: make it right because all this Shenatiga they gotta fight
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: club of these white racists that's go around and fight
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: people at protest marches. Y'all know about that. You'll heard
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: about that like a fight club. It's a racist fight club.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Do you know who they are? Yes? And they got
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: pictures up Steve harming and they got their names to cool.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Go ahead, say, I got eight dudes that I know
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: from Cleveland. Listen to me that can show up at
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: every protest that you want to if you want to.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, you're not gonna believe what's
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: gonna happen to you from St. Clears kids. All I
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: need they eight names and their sizes. I'm gonna take
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: them over to Mr Abbots. I'm gonna get the best suits,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: the brothers that you get them, some gators at a
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: suit from Albert all this and let me tell you
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: want to do Steve Harvey and then after they handed
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: their business, I'm gonna take them over the Lassos and
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: then we're gonna have a good seat food and then
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, we're gonna go to the Togo and we're
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: gonna into Togo still open cry. Listen to me, don't
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: tell me, don't listen to me. I was in the

- 1:13:53Speaker 1: but you were shocked, hell Mark. That's what I'm talking about, Steve.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Let me tell you how long I've been pulling men
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: out of Cleveland, Colin Favrels, let me tell you how
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: long it used to be the gun Arena. We would
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: walk them across the parking lot of the Guns Arena
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: and take them into residence because they had free breakfast.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: We had free breakfast, crazy and if they enjoyed themselves
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: like the Jackson's, we would get up in the morning,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: half breakface, go to Mr Ibas, get us some suits
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: so we could either go to the top of the
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: flat or Togo. We had to go to one of
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: them too, and then we're in the night at Lass's
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: with a good cocktail. And listen to me. I'm so remotiscent.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: I love Cleveland, I love all I've been messing with
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: the Browns when Jim Brown was playing for Man. Listen,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: that's how far back I go, man, Listen, men, let
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: me tell you what happen one night j Rosie grill
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: It with Digan Jones, Rosie, Jim Brown and Fred Williams
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: said something, what was your thoughts to Jim Brown at
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: the White House? Country, Jim Brown was sitting there like,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: what the is you talking? Jim Brown was sitting at
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: the White House like, don't take my picture. I was
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: not here, Jim Brown. Jim Brown, Jim Brown say, I'm
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: coming to talk about something serious and this negro is insane.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I did not come with him. He came with me,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: Jim Brown with the I American on have no deal
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: the lives that that man has changed in touch in
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: the city of Angeles. It's some games angers, man that
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: will stand up and tell you what this man has done.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: He also trying to make somebody on a promise that
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: they made him. That man right there has given so
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: much to the cause of people's lives. I got nothing
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: to say about Jim Brown sitting up there and he's
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: still doing this. Steve and see a lot of people
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: don't understand that just because he's the guy in the
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: White House is the guy in the right house, that
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: means the game is still the same. We got to
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: keep protesting, we got to keep manching, we got to
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: keep talking, we gotta keep voting. So when anybody go
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: with why is they talking to him. You got to
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: do this. You got to engage the process that we end.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: And the next thing we need to talk about, how
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: do we feel about the fact that we've got to
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: come together. And the last thing we need to do.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Tell all the Democrats, since you need our vote, why
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: are you not buying advertisement on black radio stations and
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: putting ads in black newspapers. You're taking us for granted.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: You gonna lose again. You're gonna lose again. You're gonna
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: lose again. Cheryl, thank you so much. We gotta get
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: out of here. That's so chill. That's real talk. Thank you.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Get ready, Steve,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: it's Carla's Reality Update girl. Right after this. You're listening
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Junior, come on,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: introducers that time. Is everybody ready? Yeah, it's time for
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Carla's Reality or let's go okay, come on up, all right,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: So we're gonna talk about married to Medicine. So, Steve,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: I don't know if you watch this show, but right
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: off the let me get a story. Yeah, yeah, come on, alright,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: So everyone found out, all the ladies, they found out
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: that quad had filed from divorce for divorce from her
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: husband Dr Greg on the blogs and social media, So
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: some of the women were like, day, she couldn't even
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: tell us, We had to read about out it. So
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: they were kind of upset. So now, if you recall
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: at the end of last season, Dr Greg kind of
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: he admitted to cheating on his wife at the reunion
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: show with another woman in the hotel room. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: So Quad has had it. She filed for divorce with
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: her husband. She you know how it is. She really
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: she called a mama auntie baby. That's when you get
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: your stuff and you move and she got a new place,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: and uh, Quad okay, or Monica okay, we'll get your picture. Quad.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: So now the ladies were just really surely trying to
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: get into trying to understand from Quad, why couldn't you
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: tell us? Why do we have to read about it?
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Especially Toya, because Toya and Choir were cool, and so
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: she was like, we're supposed to be friends. And Toya
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: told her husband that Dr Eugene, we're supposed to be friends.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: I don't understand why she didn't tell me about the divorce. Well,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Dr Jackie, she decided to host a summer party at
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: a hotel and a buckhead and she ain't got enough
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: of the hotel that her husband, especially her husband. But anyway,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Dr Jackie, she's cool. She tried to get all the
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: women together. They had the Slummer party so they can support,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: so Quad can feel supported, and she can talk amongst
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: her girlfriends and just you know, say what's going on.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: You know, Dr Jackie went through her husband cheating last year,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: and you know, she forgave her husband and she's rebuilding
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: her marriage. So she's like, girl, I know what you're
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: going through, so come on, let's do the sleepover unless
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: all the ladies talk. Toya and Quaid got into it,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: and the bottom line was, I just think that Toya
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: was hurt. She was just hurt that her friend did
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: not tell her that she was going through a divorce.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: They broke down, Quad broke down. She cried, and then
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: she apologized for not telling her friends because you knew what, Carla,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: when you go through st Yeah, she's beautiful. All of
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: them are beautiful women, beautiful, but yeah, when you go
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: through a divorce, it's hard sometimes to talk about it.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: It's just hard, you know, even with your closest friend,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: You're you're still hurting yourself, So you know, I get it.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I get it too. I think that Quad, you know,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: we kind of talked about this before, surely you and
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I just Quad as a private person anyway, and so
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: she just didn't want to put it out there. But
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: their point was that we had to read about understand that. Yeah,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: we had to read about it on social media, and
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: we're supposed to be your friends. So the question still
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: because Toya kind of threw this out, well, first of all,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: she didn't put it on social media, well, you know,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: didn't beat right and sit down there. Yeah, and they
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: catch anything come through the system. Yeah, and I don't know,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: you're you're absolutely right, Steve. I don't know if she
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: released the story or they found out about it, So
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: you're absolutely right. It could have been that she did
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: not want it to get out in any way just
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: yet just announcing it that way. I'm not sure of
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: that part, but it kind of the question was when
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Toya was telling her husband, Dr. Eugene, you know, they
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: were kind of talking about it, and then she's trying
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: to look out for her friend Quad. Toya is trying
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to look out for her friends, so It's kind of
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: like when you go through a divorce. There's an issue
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: with the friends and what happens with the friendship because
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the men are still friends with Dr Greg and now
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: these women, some of their wives are like, you know,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: especially Toya maybe with her husband. Dr Eugene, don't be
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: friends with him because that ain't right to talk to
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: you guys about about with divorce what happens. First of all,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: if we dudes and were friends, we dudes. You know,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: if you make a mistake in your marriage, we'll try
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: to help you through it, talk you through to something.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: But you I do. We can't stop being your dude
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: because he made a mistake with his girl. Are different.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: If she's mad at you, I'm mad at you too. Right,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Let's see, we ain't man at the dude. We disappointed
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: an't he Damn dog, you messed up the circle. Man.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Now we can't get together. Damn dog, you trip it.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: But we still we steal your guy. And that's just
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: the truth of it. Me and not gonna break up
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: like that. We don't do that well. Women. Yeah, and
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: so Steve, have you been through that? Yeah, you've been
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: through that with you know, with a divorce and I
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: had a friend that messed over a really, really good girl,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: and we all knew each other, and he messed over
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: a good girl. I'm going down, dog, What was you
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: thinking about? I don't know, man, I just tripped Steve.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: But you're still friends with him, Yeah, we're still friends.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: Were he made a mistake. You know, if I get
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: rid of all my friends that they made mistakes, I'm
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: not gonna have none. Hell, if all of my friends
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: had got rid of me when I made a mistake,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: I wouldn't have them. But you know we we now,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. We're sympathetic to her. We wish
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: it had to happen. Look, man, hey man, you want
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: to try to make it work, man, because I'm gonna
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell my good Just give me something to
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: tell my girl that she could tell your girls. But
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: I just think initially when it first happens, when it's fresh,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: it's it's all the more hurtful, you know, for the female,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: And that's what that's probably where it is. Once it
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: settles out, smooths out, and you know a lot of
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: times they do come back together and be friends. Well,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I understand, how y'all, y'all women. You all do it
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: that way because like y'all want to rally round and
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: support to have a jamma party, We're not having a
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: damn not for him at the hotel. I got my
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: foot's one and he's sitting across from me. What happened?
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: What happened? Y'all? You can share your emotions. You got
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: a footie though, Come on, talk to me on well,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: hit me up on lips of my Carla and tell
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: me going if you've been through a divorce, who gets
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: the friends? Who gets custody of the friends? And we'll
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: be back at twenty after the hour, Steve. You okay,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steven Show, all right, listen, guys.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: According to a new study performed by gift cards dot Com,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: dating is making us go broke. Dating is making us
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: go broke. Okay, yeah, that's what the survey said. This
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: is getting married. Well, this was a Paul Steve of
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: over a thousand people. It was revealed that single people
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: are spending an average of a hundred and forty six
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: dollars per month on dating. Way more than that is
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: too low. That's nearly hundred and fifty dollars a year. Admittedly,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: people in a relationship only spent spent slightly less than that,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: at a hundred thirty nine dollars a month, and married
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: people get off the cheapest of all. If you can
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: call a hundred and thirty, it's a month cheap. Really,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: if if you're spending a hundred thirty on a date,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: that's your girl ain't got no ambition, She ain't even
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: trying to do much that she ain't got no goals
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: for herself. Now, a hundred and forty a month, a
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: month on a date, man, that's just the movies total, Yeah,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: total for the month. That's one date if you just
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: go to the movies, no dinner. But I'm just gonna
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: have to say this, then, if we're spending one hundred
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: forty six dollars a month on dayton, first of all,
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: you need to make sure you got jet one girl,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: because did one into something? Yea for thirty days? Yeah,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: for thirty days. You you're really gonna have to make
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: sure you got one girl. Secondly, man, you got to
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: really be thinking of something else to do for it.
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Let's think of it. Let's get out of our age
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: groups and think of it. Younger millennials, this is probably
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: and how often do they They may be saying, if
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: you're going two dates and for the millennial and for me,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: the movie is the same by the popcorn, don't check.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: So he has to save up a lot for this day, right,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: that's one move. Yeah, and that's just one day. Yeah.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: Can I say this though, I mean, look, that is
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: what it is. Yeah. Look, you gotta spend money when
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: you're dating, you do. Yes, you know every date can't
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: be a Netflix and chill. This ain't going with everybody
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: come home, man, very ambitious. You got to set your
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: wine and dine money to the side and get to
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: wining and get to dine. Yeah, you know, it ain't
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: got to be there much sometimes, man, y'all. Just hey, baby,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: let me pick you up. I'm do a little picnic,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: get self some chicken and just going somewhere. Spread the
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: tablecloth out, have a picnic. Man, women would love that. Girl.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: He threw a picnic. We had some chicken, set down
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: at the lake. Man. He spread a blanket out. We
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: listened to the waves that night. Girl, what does the
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: least amount of money you've gone out on a date with?
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: About five five dollars you've gone out on a date date.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: I met a girl one night in a club and
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: I had like eight dollars. Dennis was crossed the street
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: from Spats. We went to Dennis. The grand slam was
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: dollar ninety nine. I let her eat a dollar ninety nine.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: I had a grilled cheese sandwich and a whole lot
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: of water. Left that tip down there. Man bought her
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: a drink a cup of coffee. We said that about
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: three hours talking sexy is I want to be about
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: five out there, clean tips and the fast cent. Wow,
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: we'll have party morning show. Yeah, right after this fine
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: Garl wafflehouse. One time. You're listening to morning show, everybody,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: I told you we're gonna have a special guest this morning.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: He's one of the youngest state representatives and the youngest
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: black elected official in the United States. He is currently
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: a political correspondent for CNN. I invited him on the
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: show because I love him. One of my favorite dudes
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: on TV period. His insight be spot on for us. Man, ladies, gentlemen,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: please welcome to the show. Mr Boccari, sell us what's
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: going on? Correct? We love him? Man, Thank God so
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: much for having me. It's always a blessing. When I
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: could be on and uh be a small kid from
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: a small town called Denmark, South Carolina. Be on the
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Steve Harvey so so thank you so much, Denmark, South Carolina. Yeah,
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: three top lights in a blinking light. We got a
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: weed bakery with a minute night's cook every morning. Come
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: through when you want to. Well, you're gonna what you're
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: gonna get boy, gonna name with street after, you're gonna
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: put the school up everything. I take it. Yeah, hey man,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: let's go. First of all, you know you're at CNN,
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: So what's the climate over there? I know there's a
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: big scale for everybody at seeing end, But what's going
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: on at CNN? How does it relate to the White House?
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: Would all have you heard? First and foremost is fear?
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: And I think you you understand that, Steve. Imagine if
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: you are at work and the people who do your makeup,
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: in your hair, the people who are around you and
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: make sure your suits are fresh when you walk out
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: or do your teleprompter. Just imagine if something comes to
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: the studio and Steve Harvey's name, um, but takes away
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: all their lives, um, you would feel some sort of
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: way about that. And and so for us it's not
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: about Don Lemon, or Anderson Cooper or even Jeff's ucker.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: It's not about the people who make you know, a
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: million dollars and two million dollars a year or have
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: condos in New York City. I mean, it's about everybody
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: who makes those shows work. And so you're invoking fear.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: I mean law officers in Columbia, South Carolina, and we
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: had to yesterday put in a new protocol for mail
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: because I'm a commentator. And so you have a receptionist
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: who has nothing to do with politics at all, but
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: now has apprehension and fear. So I mean it's fear.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: And you look to the president and that it seems
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: to reassure you. But you have Donald Trump. You know,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: it's it's hard for me to expect any level of
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: genuine compassion. You know, we were all listening to the
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: finally the speech he gate after Ivanka had issued her statements,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: and as he was reading, I just went, Okay, this
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: is nice, but is that him? Well, I mean, first
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: of all, I don't have any level of expectation for him,
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: and I think that, um, when we want to go
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: in and have some level of expectation, were foodhearted Donald
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Trump has been the same person his entire life and partner.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: If I get in trouble for saying this, but if
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: you ever expect a white man of it seventy years
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: old to change who they are today, then you are
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: fooling yourself. Um. And so I don't expect Donald Trump
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: to change at all he is. He's shown us who
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: he has been. This is what I wanted everybody understand.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: These bombs aren't going at Devin noon As his home,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: So they're going to Maxim Warner's there. It's not going
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: to it's not going to Mitt Romney's home. It's going
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: to Hillary Clinton. It's not going to George Bush, it's
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: going to Barack Obama. There's there's something going on in
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: this country, uh, and we need to deal with I
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: want everybody to know that our work is not done
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: on the sick because I'm gonna lean on you. And
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: I'm very grateful for you being not just a platform
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: but an example, because we don't have a lot of
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: wealth in our communities and we don't know how to
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: get it, but you're working hard and showing us how
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: to how to at least enhance our platforms and grow
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: our platforms. Give ourselves a voice is very valuable stuff.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: From the bottom of our heart. Thank you to you
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: and your crew man. Thank you, card selling you the
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: best man. Tell everybody over there we said we're praying
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: for him. Tell him to be safe and be aware.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: All right, thank you, thank you. All right. Steve is
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: up next with today's closing remarks. That's coming up at
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: forty nine after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Alright, Steve, here we are last
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: break of the day, and it has been a good day.
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: Maybe your nephew will come back to work tomorrow and
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: we'll see me. We'll see he's taking this superstardom a
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: bit too far now, too soon? Yeah, and I can't wait.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Did I get a show? Yeah? Alright, Steve, take us
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: home with some closing remarks for today. You know, we
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: had the car sellers on the show earlier today and
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: I really really enjoyed his young brother because he's he
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: articulates the message spot on. You know, whenever he's on
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: with Don Lemon or Chris Chromo, always tune in man
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: because he's so fearless and spot on and he speaks
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: the truth. Now, a lot of people don't like the truth.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: It don't if it don't match up with what you think.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: But the facts are the facts, not because the facts
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: ain't what you wanna hear, that doesn't make it an untruth.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: It is amazing to me how people put a spin
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: on it. I don't believe that. Wait a minute. You
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: know at my show the other day, you know I
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: always try to say something positive to people when they
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: come on the show. Well, I was on the show
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: the other day and I got to talking about God
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: and this, and this lady gave me the thumbs downside.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: I said, excuse me, ma'am. Did I say something? She said,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I don't believe in God, and I said, okay, cool,
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: and I just kept talking. I finished my message up
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: because I didn't even have time to address her. The
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: fact that you don't believe a fact doesn't make it
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: not true. Because you told me you don't believe in God,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: and you gave me the thumbdown sign when I started
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: talking about God. What that? What the fact that God
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: on me? You think? Because you give God a thumbdown
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: sign and mean, it ain't no God? Are you kidding me?
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: It's a fact that there is a God. It's a
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: fact and undeniable fact that there is a god. Not
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: because this woman don't want to won't want to believe that.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: That makes it so. No, and that's what it is
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: on the news because you call it fake news. Don't
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: make it so they're just all fake news. No, they're not.
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: And Baccary Sellers is one of those people that get
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: on there and say stuff that's factual because the factual
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: doesn't match up to your agenda. Now it's fake news,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: that's not true. Let me explain something of you what
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: Baccari said earlier. He said, we've been telling people to
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: get out and vote. We gotta have a reason to vote.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: What I thought about it, Let's have a hood moment together.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: Let's have a moment together. That's from a place where
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: I'm from. I'm from the Bottom area. I stayed down
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: by the lake. I w wasn't up on the hill
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: on mino Cello and Noble Road. I grew up down
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: there by the lake at the bottom. That's what they
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: called the mistake on the lake. That's why I grew
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: up at I could ride my bike to the lake.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: Let me tell you something about this place I'm from.
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: So it's the hood so I'm gonna tell you something
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: real hood here the reason we need to vote because
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: they're trying to play offs. People Steve Harvey listening audience,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: are you listening to me? They're trying to playoffs. They're
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: trying to take us out legitimately, they are trying to
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: suppress votes. They are trying to act like we don't matter.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: They want to make America great again. And I'm trying
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: to ask everybody, when what year you talking about making
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: America great that was so great for us. We need
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: to vote on November six to say no, we need
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: to make America better, not great again, because I can't
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: think of a period of time in the past from
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: this moment that I want to go back to. I
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: want to go forward. I don't want to go back,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: so you can't. You can't trick me with that. Why
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: would I go back instead of forward? I'm not going
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: back nowhere? To make America great the key word again.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: You'd have been better off just saying make America great. Hey,
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: a lot have thought better of it then, But you
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: threw me when you said make America great again, which
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: means that was a period somewhere for you where you
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: thought it was better to be in this country. And
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: I promise you I can't think of when that period is.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: I was homeless through the back end of the eighties
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: and early nineties, so bank America great, a kin, I
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: won't to go back to that, Oh, Steve, how about
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: the seventies. Oh, you're talking about the year that they
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: stripped Muhammad Ali of his title because he refused to
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: kill people that didn't do nothing to him. He said,
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing against them people. You're talking about that? Oh? Better, Yet,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: we're gonna go back to the sixties. Oh, you won't
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: go do that? When when they killed Mark Luther King?
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Oh you want to do them sixties? Oh? Oh oh no,
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: not to not not to back end of the sixties. TV.
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: Let's go to the early sixties. Oh you mean when
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: Robert Kennedy and and JFK was talking about opening up
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: schools to black people and changing laws and creating civil
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: rights laws. And you kill both of them. How about that?
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Oh you did? You wouldn't think we want to go
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: back down? I don't. How about the fiftiest, fifties and
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: sixties colored water fountains? Man? You know why we need
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: to vote, y'all because we ain't letting nobody make America
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: what it used to be. We're going to the future,
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: not the past. We're going to vote and put some
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: fresh faces in here and some people who think like
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: we think, so we can get a balance in this thing.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: It's too much right wing conservative going on, and you
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: need the right wing and the left wing for the
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: eagle to fly. But we got too much right wing
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: and it's just flying in the circle. And you know,
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: the circle is forming around the base that he created. No,
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: I don't want America great again. I want America great,
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: and America could be great when it changes for the better,
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: not when it goes to the past. We need contest.
