- 0:30Speaker 1: Please don't join join me with me. You gotta turn,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn out, turn, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn turn the water the water. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your back at it? Uh huh. I show
- 2:02Speaker 1: well a good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice
- 2:06Speaker 1: I come on dignity, naw one, it only Steve Harley
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. I was. I had my head
- 2:14Speaker 1: down and it was thinking of what I wanted to
- 2:18Speaker 1: say this morning. But it kind of it's kind of
- 2:23Speaker 1: be something I've lived for a long time, and you know,
- 2:29Speaker 1: for a long time, you know, I had a lot
- 2:30Speaker 1: of faith in people. You know. It's strange too, because
- 2:34Speaker 1: you know, you know, my mother was a Sunday school teacher,
- 2:38Speaker 1: so of course I grew up around it, knowing the
- 2:42Speaker 1: scriptures and things like that. Not not a lot of them,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but you know, the ones I retained. But having her
- 2:49Speaker 1: as a mother was was a huge help and understanding
- 2:52Speaker 1: about faith. But even with that, as I grew up,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I began to put a lot of faith in people.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And you know, I figured, you know, just like everybody else,
- 3:03Speaker 1: you know, man if I could just meet this person,
- 3:06Speaker 1: or if I could just sit down with that person,
- 3:09Speaker 1: or man if I could just get this person to
- 3:11Speaker 1: hear my ideal, or man if if this person could
- 3:15Speaker 1: hear my track, or man if I could just get
- 3:18Speaker 1: this in the hands or somebody in the know. I was,
- 3:22Speaker 1: like everybody else, I thought that way. You know, I
- 3:24Speaker 1: actually thought that if I could get in a certain
- 3:27Speaker 1: situation with a certain person, that if a certain person
- 3:31Speaker 1: were to meet me, that you know, it could change
- 3:34Speaker 1: everything for me. Oh man, Oh how wrong I was?
- 3:39Speaker 1: Oh how wrong I was? How long did I spend
- 3:43Speaker 1: feeling that way? And how many of you out there
- 3:46Speaker 1: possibly have felt that way before? You know, like even
- 3:49Speaker 1: in a relationship, this is the person for me, and
- 3:52Speaker 1: you know, you just lay claim to that, you know,
- 3:55Speaker 1: not necessarily being a fact, but you just lay claim
- 3:58Speaker 1: to it. This is the person for me, This is
- 4:00Speaker 1: the person that I want to spend the rest of
- 4:02Speaker 1: my life with. You know, sometimes you know, we just
- 4:04Speaker 1: lay claim to stuff and it's not always what's in
- 4:07Speaker 1: our best interests, or it's not always a fact. It's
- 4:10Speaker 1: just what we decided we want it. And I was
- 4:13Speaker 1: guilty of that, just like anybody else. And I spent
- 4:16Speaker 1: a lot of years in my life putting faith in people. Man,
- 4:20Speaker 1: if I could tell you anything this morning, it's to
- 4:23Speaker 1: stop putting your faith in people and put your faith
- 4:26Speaker 1: in God where it counts the most. I mean, you
- 4:29Speaker 1: can get something out of this one. See, here's a
- 4:32Speaker 1: deal about a relationship with God. It's the same all
- 4:36Speaker 1: the time. He never changes. His word is one absolute.
- 4:41Speaker 1: His word doesn't have loopholes in it, none of that.
- 4:44Speaker 1: It's this is what it is. He's very clear. Now,
- 4:48Speaker 1: you can deviate off your end at a bargain, but
- 4:52Speaker 1: it don't stop what he says from being true. But
- 4:56Speaker 1: if he asks you to do something, if God asks
- 4:58Speaker 1: you to be a certain way, to do a little
- 5:00Speaker 1: something a certain way, and you don't do it that way,
- 5:03Speaker 1: then you know you could still possibly get by for
- 5:07Speaker 1: a while. But don't you understand that his end of
- 5:11Speaker 1: the deal stays the same, and as long as you're
- 5:14Speaker 1: not doing it the way you're supposed to, the results
- 5:16Speaker 1: are not going to be what you wanted to be.
- 5:18Speaker 1: And I did this for years and years and years,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and I counted on people, and you know, I got
- 5:25Speaker 1: myself in a lot of situations. And I got out
- 5:27Speaker 1: one a dire situation that I'd been in for a
- 5:30Speaker 1: number of years. But he had protected me from years
- 5:33Speaker 1: prior to that. I didn't even know what was going on,
- 5:35Speaker 1: and then he made it away. It made me aware
- 5:38Speaker 1: of the problem. And then, man, lord ha mercy, I
- 5:42Speaker 1: was in a dismal situation. And then at the end
- 5:45Speaker 1: of the year, I was free, free from it all.
- 5:48Speaker 1: But it was a decision that I had made that
- 5:51Speaker 1: led up to that, and in going through that process,
- 5:55Speaker 1: I had to learn something. Man. I learned a lot
- 5:58Speaker 1: about people. See, if you want to learn about your friends,
- 6:02Speaker 1: if you want to learn about your people people around you,
- 6:05Speaker 1: Get yourself in some trouble, get yourself in a situation. Oh, man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you start looking around. Man, the field get real clear
- 6:14Speaker 1: when you're in trouble. The field clear is out when
- 6:18Speaker 1: you're in doubt, when you don't know what to do,
- 6:20Speaker 1: when you need help, it get real clear on the
- 6:23Speaker 1: play and field, then don't it. Oh, But when things
- 6:25Speaker 1: is going right, it's time for a party we throw
- 6:28Speaker 1: in a celebration. We were gonna we're gonna do one
- 6:31Speaker 1: down here. Oh man, there's plenty of people on the field.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But but but get yourself in a situation. You find
- 6:37Speaker 1: out rather quickly that old no, old no, everybody ain't here.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And that's when I started learning. And I'm telling you,
- 6:46Speaker 1: I had to start learning this for real until I
- 6:48Speaker 1: finally got it to stop putting my faith in people
- 6:52Speaker 1: and put all of mine in God where it counts
- 6:54Speaker 1: the most. Now is that to say that there are
- 6:57Speaker 1: people that you can't trust. No, that's not what I'm saying.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I ain't say you can't trust him, but you can't
- 7:02Speaker 1: dump your faith in him. I got it all riding
- 7:05Speaker 1: on what he say. I got it all riding on
- 7:09Speaker 1: what she say. Na, Na, No, I hear you saying it.
- 7:17Speaker 1: But I'm gonna keep my own on this situation because
- 7:19Speaker 1: I hear you saying it. But I'm gonna take this
- 7:22Speaker 1: faith of mine and instead of putting it in people,
- 7:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna put it in God where it counts the most.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Because his word is absolute. What he say he gonna do,
- 7:31Speaker 1: he gonna do what he says. He's not gonna tolerate.
- 7:34Speaker 1: He's not gonna tolerate. Now, you can make it, you
- 7:36Speaker 1: can make it tolerable for yourself, but he's not gonna
- 7:39Speaker 1: tolerate it. And that's just the end of the line.
- 7:41Speaker 1: And so you know, I'm wondering how many people out
- 7:44Speaker 1: there finding themselves in a situation like me, or maybe
- 7:48Speaker 1: you've gotten yourself in a situation because you put your
- 7:50Speaker 1: faith in some people and now you wound up in
- 7:52Speaker 1: a different type of situation. Now, let me ask you
- 7:55Speaker 1: whetting people that the only one that I found when
- 8:01Speaker 1: I was in my deepest trouble, when me and my
- 8:04Speaker 1: wife were in our darkest situation, was God. Is the
- 8:08Speaker 1: only one, was the only one who was just right there,
- 8:12Speaker 1: right there, all the way through. Now, let me explain
- 8:18Speaker 1: something to you. Because you have this relationship with God,
- 8:22Speaker 1: it does not mean, it does not mean now that
- 8:26Speaker 1: it won't get it won't still be a situation, you understand.
- 8:31Speaker 1: But what He will do is protect you during that period.
- 8:35Speaker 1: He'll cover you during that period that it is a situation.
- 8:40Speaker 1: He will give you the strength to overcome the situation
- 8:43Speaker 1: when it turns into a situation. Then when he cracks
- 8:47Speaker 1: it open for you and the sun is bright and shining.
- 8:50Speaker 1: What he don't want you to do is when he
- 8:52Speaker 1: gets sunny again, to forget about him, who was there
- 8:55Speaker 1: when it was dark for you. See, I used to
- 8:58Speaker 1: do that too, you know I was Oh, man, I
- 9:01Speaker 1: did it. I'm telling you right now, I did it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But I'm telling you man, when I learned a very
- 9:07Speaker 1: serious lesson and I watched some people I thought were
- 9:11Speaker 1: friends of mine just sort of casually remove themselves from
- 9:16Speaker 1: the situation. Then I said, okay. Me and Margie looked around.
- 9:21Speaker 1: We said okay, it's just me, you and God, and
- 9:24Speaker 1: we started conducting ourselves accordingly. So when it's sunny for us,
- 9:29Speaker 1: we remember God. We stay prayerful, we keep talking to him.
- 9:33Speaker 1: We thank him for the sunshine, we thank him for
- 9:36Speaker 1: the dark days that he allowed us to do, who
- 9:39Speaker 1: allowed us to survive it and turn it into sunny days.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And we talked to him constantly to protect us of
- 9:45Speaker 1: our future enemies. And that's what the deal is. So
- 9:48Speaker 1: if I was everybody, I would stop putting your faith
- 9:50Speaker 1: in people and put your trust in God where it
- 9:53Speaker 1: really does count the most, It really really does. You're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, man, I have your attention please, as
- 10:04Speaker 1: I always ask for on a daily basis, but as
- 10:07Speaker 1: you can probably give me credit for when I asked
- 10:09Speaker 1: for your attention. I do not let you down once
- 10:13Speaker 1: you give it to me. Now, today it's going to
- 10:16Speaker 1: be special. What's today's date? January sixteen, the day before
- 10:23Speaker 1: your birthday, January the sixte You know what, Shirley one day,
- 10:27Speaker 1: one day? Let me just Shirley Strawberry. First of all, Steve,
- 10:31Speaker 1: good morning, Bam, Colin for rel good morning. What's up?
- 10:35Speaker 1: Rol's that delay? Did y'all hear it? Did y'all? Here?
- 10:39Speaker 1: The delay? I just want to me in my defense, No, no, no,
- 10:46Speaker 1: I had I had um gingerrell. I was trying to swallow. Okay, well,
- 10:52Speaker 1: after you swallowed, you said it immediately, then that was
- 10:56Speaker 1: a delay. I was trying to gentlemen, the wonder boy
- 11:01Speaker 1: at himself, Batman had Robin green horned, had Cato. We
- 11:10Speaker 1: got junior boy morning on morning everybody, and with as
- 11:19Speaker 1: if that wasn't enough, there's a fool here, lay it
- 11:25Speaker 1: on thickay it Okay. I'm talking about a word that
- 11:33Speaker 1: I learned a long time ago when I was a
- 11:35Speaker 1: little boy, and I thought it was the funniest word
- 11:37Speaker 1: I've ever heard. Ignor ramos, Yes, I love it. That's
- 11:45Speaker 1: a shame. Locally ignorant. Yeah, statewide ignorance. Come on, keep going,
- 11:55Speaker 1: national ignorance. And now someone has placed the ignorance on
- 12:04Speaker 1: a television network. Ladies and gentlemen, The Fool of Foods Nephew,
- 12:15Speaker 1: Tommy top top top, Happy birthday, Eve, my brother, Happy
- 12:19Speaker 1: birthday Eve, to my mouth. That's on the way, baby,
- 12:22Speaker 1: one day away, roll yep six sixty three, looking good,
- 12:30Speaker 1: boy sixty looking good, better than ever. Remember to get
- 12:37Speaker 1: birthday parties and be away and Tommy would have birthday
- 12:41Speaker 1: parties at your house, remember those days? Well, thank god
- 12:45Speaker 1: that you a birthday party for him. Yet here High
- 12:48Speaker 1: he wasn't even there. Will y'all have no idea the
- 12:52Speaker 1: history I had with this food, Steve, Why are you
- 12:54Speaker 1: so hard on him? Why I'm hard on him? If
- 12:58Speaker 1: you've seen how he hadn't done my high houses, apartments
- 13:01Speaker 1: and cause, um, you all know that all my birthday.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Oh you know I traditionally take off on my birthday.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I was just gonna say that, He's just gonna throw
- 13:16Speaker 1: it out there, So get that in your mind. So barnade. Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 1: already enough that I'm working in Africa on my birthday.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Let's talk about this after the break. Yeah, we will come.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I'm a thirty two minutes after the hour, I will
- 13:35Speaker 1: do some asked Steve too for his birthday before his
- 13:38Speaker 1: birthday right after this. Yeah, you're listening to show time
- 13:46Speaker 1: now for asked Steve. Okay, Steve, here's a question from
- 13:48Speaker 1: Sonia in Detroit. Okay. Sonia is from Detroit. From our
- 13:52Speaker 1: Homestation Mix ninety two three, she says, Dear Steve, I
- 13:56Speaker 1: live with my mother because I've been ill and I'm employed.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I recently purchased a lottery ticket and wrote my mother's
- 14:03Speaker 1: name on the back because she has better luck than me.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Now it turns out that the ticket was a winning ticket,
- 14:09Speaker 1: but she is not giving me the money. My Christian
- 14:12Speaker 1: mother does not believe in gambling, but now that I won,
- 14:16Speaker 1: she wants to keep the money for herself. I can't
- 14:20Speaker 1: believe that. What should idea say? That's the loveliest question.
- 14:27Speaker 1: When is it a rule where it's the law that
- 14:31Speaker 1: Christians don't gamble. I be in a Vegas man and
- 14:37Speaker 1: a Christian myself, I must hold your mother's rule that
- 14:42Speaker 1: she may not go to gamble, but Christians have a
- 14:46Speaker 1: tendency to gamble. Next point I think is your mother.
- 14:51Speaker 1: It depends to see. Obviously, this is not a huge
- 14:55Speaker 1: ticket where it's like megaball several hundred million. This is
- 15:00Speaker 1: one of the tickets pick three. She wants some money.
- 15:04Speaker 1: You know, you might y'all might have won ten thousand,
- 15:06Speaker 1: five thousand maybe something like that. Yeah, that's a nice
- 15:12Speaker 1: chunk of jack. Now here's the deal. You just said
- 15:16Speaker 1: that you wrote your mama's name on the back of
- 15:19Speaker 1: the ticket. She had more luck. And obviously you told
- 15:25Speaker 1: your mama that you wrote her name on the back
- 15:28Speaker 1: of the ticket. Now here's my other question, and here's
- 15:32Speaker 1: three things. Like him. You've been staying with your mother
- 15:36Speaker 1: because you ill, and you ain't working. So now when
- 15:46Speaker 1: you about the ticket, were you able to lead a
- 15:51Speaker 1: house and buy the ticket? Or where your mama outside? Where?
- 15:54Speaker 1: And now if your mama bought this ticket and rolled
- 16:02Speaker 1: her name on the back of it, you damn write.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Your mama ain't giving you nothing. If you want to
- 16:06Speaker 1: lay claim to the money, your mama probably figure you
- 16:10Speaker 1: old hull. You stand at her house and you ain't working,
- 16:14Speaker 1: eating groceries and you're using this juice bill electricity is
- 16:22Speaker 1: you hit a lot of new No, that's that's that's
- 16:26Speaker 1: cold electric hood electrician and don't cut your juice off. Okay,
- 16:33Speaker 1: So now hang that she's so bush. So now that's
- 16:39Speaker 1: why your mama it's not giving you the money and
- 16:44Speaker 1: it ain't really nothing you can do about it. And
- 16:47Speaker 1: she's still a Christian because she wasn't a real good Christian.
- 16:49Speaker 1: She to put your hands out. You're right, you have
- 16:54Speaker 1: some place to live. Girl. So there's there's two things
- 17:03Speaker 1: you need to know. Two slogans that Christians have developed.
- 17:07Speaker 1: It's Christian light as a bill, which is what I am.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm Christian Light. And then the one that your mother's
- 17:19Speaker 1: probably using is Christianity has its privileges, a bill slogan
- 17:27Speaker 1: and a credit card slogan, and your mama is using both.
- 17:34Speaker 1: She wants to know what should she do, though, ain't
- 17:37Speaker 1: damn what she's gonna do. She can't put out she
- 17:39Speaker 1: too sick to hell. Yeah, if you say something, you
- 17:42Speaker 1: can't you can't go to work. You're sick. You and
- 17:44Speaker 1: your Mama's what you're gonna say. You're gonna mess around
- 17:49Speaker 1: and get put out with your little three thousand dollars.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Your mama been sick of you for a while, she
- 18:01Speaker 1: and do now you got grown and you're sick and
- 18:06Speaker 1: out of work. I'm sick in this hell. The letter
- 18:08Speaker 1: sounds like she's well though she's fully recovered. Actually it does.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Obviously her mamma is well. Up. Man's about this money?
- 18:16Speaker 1: So what right? Hey? You you run over there on
- 18:21Speaker 1: big doors if you want to big doors. Next question,
- 18:28Speaker 1: but this money? Next question? All right, okay, this is
- 18:34Speaker 1: pre birthday ignorance. Yeah, okay, what are your plans? What
- 18:39Speaker 1: are you? Tomorrow is your birthday? What are your plans
- 18:41Speaker 1: for your birthday? You're in Africa? You're in Ghana right now, shooting. Yeah,
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm working, so I don't I don't get this day
- 18:49Speaker 1: off tomorrow. But you're not working twenty four seven anything.
- 18:54Speaker 1: My wife is on the way. Huh nice okay, and
- 18:59Speaker 1: you know Andre's coming, so she's already, girl, she said. Okay, Steve,
- 19:04Speaker 1: I know the restaurant you love with the private room,
- 19:07Speaker 1: Because there's a private room. It's all like zebra skin
- 19:11Speaker 1: and chairs and leathers and and all these furs on
- 19:15Speaker 1: the wall and cigars and food is excellent and it's
- 19:20Speaker 1: very private. And we met the shelf. He's excellent. It's
- 19:23Speaker 1: a restaurant called Epicure over here in South Africa. And
- 19:30Speaker 1: so she asked me who I wanted. You know, my wife?
- 19:34Speaker 1: My wife know me, I said, bank, I don't, nobody.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I don't know. So everybody we took to Africa with
- 19:40Speaker 1: us can come. And the family that's there, which ain't
- 19:43Speaker 1: a lot of my family. My son is there right now,
- 19:46Speaker 1: and my other son will be here, and Marjorie will
- 19:49Speaker 1: be here and that that's it with the kids this year.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So that's it. I just want that you know, the security.
- 19:56Speaker 1: You know that eats and a couple of people keep
- 19:59Speaker 1: a couple of you cur regular family feud that I
- 20:02Speaker 1: hire to come over here and help me with the show.
- 20:05Speaker 1: And so so you don't want us over there? Yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 1: we can't. You don't want us over You ain't talking
- 20:10Speaker 1: about you know what, tim me, if you wanted to
- 20:13Speaker 1: be here, you would have already have had to have
- 20:16Speaker 1: been on the weighty leaving now after you did what
- 20:22Speaker 1: you did for your wife's birthday. You ain't got no
- 20:26Speaker 1: money to come. No, this is true. I didn't think
- 20:33Speaker 1: written the restaurant was necessary. I really didn't. Okay, all right,
- 20:37Speaker 1: well you can't tell her damn thing. That's how they
- 20:40Speaker 1: do it, all right. Coming up next, nobody walking in
- 20:44Speaker 1: there in the building would run that brank back. Right
- 20:46Speaker 1: after this you're listening to. Coming up at the top
- 20:53Speaker 1: of the hour, Guys Entertainment news, Jay Z's Rock Nation
- 20:56Speaker 1: filed a lawsuit on behalf of Mississippi State prison nerves.
- 21:00Speaker 1: We'll talk about that and uh a lot more at
- 21:03Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Right now, though, it is
- 21:05Speaker 1: time for the nephew to run that point back. What
- 21:07Speaker 1: you got for us, nep you're you're all right? You
- 21:11Speaker 1: do to recover your mind? Control? Let's go, yeah, control,
- 21:20Speaker 1: let's go. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Carla please,
- 21:25Speaker 1: yeah speaking I call. It's Herschel James over in human Resources. Hi.
- 21:30Speaker 1: How you doing. I'm good. I'm good. How are you
- 21:32Speaker 1: doing today? Not bad? What is it? Okay? I'm sorry?
- 21:36Speaker 1: What is this call about? Well, I got a complaint
- 21:40Speaker 1: that's been sent to us that we want to try
- 21:42Speaker 1: to address and see if we can handle this in
- 21:44Speaker 1: a in an orderly fashion. You've been over in the
- 21:47Speaker 1: Client services department for what last three four years now,
- 21:51Speaker 1: almost five years. Okay, Um, we're getting some complaints Carla
- 21:56Speaker 1: about um you. I don't know if you're sick, but
- 22:01Speaker 1: you're you seem to be coughing quite a bit, and
- 22:04Speaker 1: there's people on that floor that are starting to complain
- 22:08Speaker 1: about it is. Do we need to like give you
- 22:10Speaker 1: some time off? Tell me what's going on with you? Oh? No, no, no, no, no,
- 22:14Speaker 1: there must be a mistake. I mean, I had a
- 22:17Speaker 1: cold for a couple of days. That's sick. Yeah, I can't.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I can't imagine. Have you had a extension cost that's
- 22:26Speaker 1: been going on longer than a week or two. Have
- 22:28Speaker 1: you been coughing a lot? I don't. I don't. I
- 22:32Speaker 1: don't count when I how many times I coughed? You know,
- 22:35Speaker 1: I don't. I don't really understand. Well, let me let me,
- 22:40Speaker 1: let me, let me tell you what we're gonna do,
- 22:42Speaker 1: because you know, you've been with us a long time,
- 22:44Speaker 1: and we understand that you know, the weather has been bananas,
- 22:48Speaker 1: and you know, we want to make sure that everybody's accommodated. Now,
- 22:52Speaker 1: what we've come up with just to try to accommodate everybody,
- 22:56Speaker 1: We're gonna move you right now. I know you on
- 22:58Speaker 1: the fourth floor, So we're gonna move you to the
- 23:01Speaker 1: seventh floor in the next in the next couple of
- 23:04Speaker 1: weeks where and you know, there's that's kind of where um,
- 23:07Speaker 1: it's kind of like an area where there's more coughing
- 23:11Speaker 1: people up there. No, no, no, no, no, no, no no,
- 23:13Speaker 1: that won't be necessary. I'm I'm feeling much better. I've
- 23:17Speaker 1: been at the same spot the entire time I've been
- 23:20Speaker 1: with the company. I don't need to be moved to
- 23:22Speaker 1: the seventh floor. I don't need to be moved for
- 23:25Speaker 1: any health reasons. I'm doing fine. I'm good. You don't
- 23:28Speaker 1: have to worry it about. Hey, hey, let's slow down
- 23:31Speaker 1: a mint of carlin um. And I understand where you're
- 23:35Speaker 1: coming from. I know what. You don't want to be
- 23:37Speaker 1: moved because you've been there. You're probably comfortable where you are.
- 23:40Speaker 1: But they're asking that you wear one of the uh,
- 23:44Speaker 1: you know, surgical mask for two weeks until we get
- 23:46Speaker 1: you up to the to the next show. Wait, you
- 23:49Speaker 1: got you guys can't just move me? How about you
- 23:52Speaker 1: gonna be gonna just move me without asking me? My
- 23:54Speaker 1: side of the story, Well, you're coughing out of control.
- 23:58Speaker 1: You know you got, well, listen to me, you got.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You know there's people and I complaining about me. Well,
- 24:06Speaker 1: it must be the people that are actually right around you.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I mean, I'm hearing she's spreading germs. They think you
- 24:12Speaker 1: have the flu. There's some people are saying it's disgusting
- 24:14Speaker 1: you keep coughing and coughing, which was not that doesn't
- 24:19Speaker 1: last for months, Like I am good, I'm all set.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I had a little cold, but not enough to be
- 24:24Speaker 1: more than me. Okay, well let me tell you what
- 24:27Speaker 1: it's doing. It's it's creating a real hostile environment, is
- 24:32Speaker 1: what it's doing. No one said anything said maybe a
- 24:36Speaker 1: God bless you once that when I sneeze. I don't
- 24:38Speaker 1: understand why when we take this human resources, are you
- 24:41Speaker 1: saying you want me to wear a mask as of tomorrow,
- 24:46Speaker 1: starting tomorrow tomorrow, it'll be we'll have that at your
- 24:50Speaker 1: cubicle tomorrow. No, that's not you guys, can't just have
- 24:55Speaker 1: me wearing a mask the night before. I've never said
- 25:00Speaker 1: it's a it's a it's a it's a surgical man.
- 25:02Speaker 1: You'll wear that for two weeks until until I can
- 25:05Speaker 1: get you upstairs to where that's the coughing floor. We'll
- 25:08Speaker 1: have you up there when people are coughing and nobody's
- 25:10Speaker 1: gonna be complaining about you. That doesn't sound very hygienic
- 25:13Speaker 1: to me. You're gonna pull it's not it's but it's
- 25:15Speaker 1: not hygienic of what's going on on your floor, your coffee,
- 25:19Speaker 1: and the people are complaining. Let me tell you something
- 25:21Speaker 1: right now, I'm gonna appeal this decision. I'm not going
- 25:25Speaker 1: to those seventh floor. I'm not wearing a mask. I
- 25:27Speaker 1: feel good. If you guys want some health records, I
- 25:29Speaker 1: can provide that for you. But Hulin's gonna have me
- 25:32Speaker 1: moving an accent, looking crazy just because somebody said I
- 25:35Speaker 1: don't like that I cough. We all cough in the winter. Okay, Carla,
- 25:38Speaker 1: let's let's let's let's let's slow down. Okay. I want
- 25:41Speaker 1: to try to help you. I want to help me
- 25:43Speaker 1: to slow down, But you're want to talking about moving me,
- 25:46Speaker 1: making me wear a mask on in the in the morning,
- 25:48Speaker 1: like that's not right. No, that's okay, Carla. If you
- 25:52Speaker 1: can't put the mask on tomorrow, I'm gonna have to
- 25:54Speaker 1: ask you to not come in tomorrow. Now that decision
- 25:57Speaker 1: is up to you. No, that decisions not to me
- 26:00Speaker 1: because I want to appeal the decision for you. Who
- 26:03Speaker 1: else can I talk to because this, this is this
- 26:05Speaker 1: conversation is not this. We'll have this meeting next week.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I will let you know when it is, but you
- 26:10Speaker 1: can't come in until we have the meeting at this point,
- 26:13Speaker 1: all right? Oh, so am I gonna get paid days off?
- 26:17Speaker 1: You're not getting to your days off? You can come out.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I can't talk to you anymore. You're not mask, You're
- 26:23Speaker 1: not thinking any sense. I can't talk to you. All right,
- 26:26Speaker 1: you can piss me off. This is not right. None
- 26:28Speaker 1: of this sounds legal right now. I need to talk
- 26:31Speaker 1: to somebody else because because I can't right now. Do
- 26:34Speaker 1: you want to wear the surgical Well, that is the
- 26:37Speaker 1: way I'm going to allow you to work tomorrow. No,
- 26:41Speaker 1: I'm not wearing the mask. Stop talking to me about
- 26:43Speaker 1: a mask. I'm not sick. What I'll do tomorrows, I'm
- 26:45Speaker 1: gonna go talk with them boy, you and my doctor
- 26:48Speaker 1: and give y'all, give y'all something else to think about. Okay, Well,
- 26:52Speaker 1: here's what we'll do. I will schedule you of meeting
- 26:54Speaker 1: at eleven o'clock. It looks like we have something available
- 26:57Speaker 1: on Wednesdays next week. No, no, no problem. Listen, you
- 27:01Speaker 1: keep your damn meeting. You're the meeting more Harvey with
- 27:03Speaker 1: the lawyer, because I'm sure this is civil rights a
- 27:06Speaker 1: violation if something can't do this? Okay, would you like
- 27:10Speaker 1: our lawyer to call your lawyer. I'm getting off the
- 27:12Speaker 1: fall with you. I need to go get some legal advice.
- 27:15Speaker 1: I can't be doing this with you right now. Okay,
- 27:17Speaker 1: Well before you go, Before you go, now, would you
- 27:20Speaker 1: like to know who's complaining about you? Yeah? A matter
- 27:23Speaker 1: of fact, I would like to know. I want to
- 27:25Speaker 1: know exactly what complaining about me. Okay, Tommy is the
- 27:29Speaker 1: one that's saying that you're calling all over the place.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You don't put your hand over your mouth. I can't
- 27:34Speaker 1: hear you. Who do you say, Tommy? There's no Tommy
- 27:37Speaker 1: on my floor. You have the wrong person, Like, no,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I don't. That's not complaining about you. Tommy is one
- 27:47Speaker 1: that it's you. That doesn't make any sense because there
- 27:49Speaker 1: is no Tommy on my floor. I don't even know it. Tommy,
- 27:53Speaker 1: do you know a nephew Tommy from Steve Harvey Morning Show?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Do you know him? Oh? Cal you just got pranked
- 28:05Speaker 1: by your coworker, the Beatle Baby. Oh my god, I'm
- 28:12Speaker 1: sitting here for having hot flashes struts out about the
- 28:17Speaker 1: fry and look on the internet for a lawyer. I can't.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, oh my god, Like I'm mad at you.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Why'd you gotta take it that far? Though? You wait
- 28:30Speaker 1: so far? You gotta tell me this. What is the
- 28:36Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the land.
- 28:40Speaker 1: It's the Steve Harvey's on his show, that's for sure,
- 28:48Speaker 1: all right. Coming up at the time of the hour,
- 28:51Speaker 1: entertainment in National News right after this, you're listening, all right.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, journalist and
- 29:02Speaker 1: author and our good family member friend Ed Gordon will
- 29:05Speaker 1: be our special guest. He's going to tell us about
- 29:07Speaker 1: his brand new book, Conversations in Black on Power, politics
- 29:11Speaker 1: and leadership. But first, in today's entertainment news, I've every
- 29:14Speaker 1: on Mississippi Monica has been following this crazy story. This
- 29:19Speaker 1: is horrific right here, Yoga Monica was in the news.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Go ahead, Well, she's been following this story and she
- 29:26Speaker 1: I thought she meant she was a reporter on Well
- 29:30Speaker 1: we go live right now, she's been Yeah, we didn't
- 29:35Speaker 1: do that because she is the mouth of the South.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Yes she is. Yes, So check it out yoga one
- 29:46Speaker 1: more time. STI. He nailed that, all right, So Yogatti,
- 29:55Speaker 1: David Banner, and other celebrities are fighting injustices in the
- 29:58Speaker 1: prison system in Misssissippi. Jay Z's Rock Nation and its
- 30:02Speaker 1: high powered attorney Alex Spiro will represent the prisoners after
- 30:06Speaker 1: spike and deadly violence at several Mississippi state prisons and
- 30:09Speaker 1: to fight deplorable prison conditions. The lawsuit filed on Tuesday
- 30:13Speaker 1: in federal court. They have been There have been at
- 30:16Speaker 1: least five prisoners who have died in Mississippi. In the
- 30:20Speaker 1: maximum security prison, Parchment doesn't have enough mattresses for the inmates,
- 30:27Speaker 1: cells are covered in black mold, and ross sewage is
- 30:29Speaker 1: spilling onto the floors. The prison allegedly has a serious
- 30:33Speaker 1: water problem too. In the lawsuit, Team Rock Nation claims
- 30:38Speaker 1: the drinking water for inmates repeatedly fails to meet federal
- 30:42Speaker 1: standard safety standards. Also, according to the lawsuit, inmates are
- 30:46Speaker 1: exposed to serious harm and left unprotected because there just
- 30:50Speaker 1: aren't enough prison guards. Yogatti, David Banner, other community leaders
- 30:54Speaker 1: are demanding that Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant make changes or
- 30:59Speaker 1: face a lawsuit. The suit seeks damages for the inmates
- 31:03Speaker 1: and an order and an order from Mississippi's Department of
- 31:06Speaker 1: Corrections to lay out a plan to address all of
- 31:09Speaker 1: these issues, especially increasing staff and cleaning up sewage. Uh
- 31:15Speaker 1: Yogatti said, the lives of countless individuals in Mississippi prisons
- 31:18Speaker 1: are at stake, and we will not stop until this
- 31:21Speaker 1: is fixed. So shout out to them. Yeah, man, I
- 31:25Speaker 1: really do hope this is effective. I really really do,
- 31:28Speaker 1: because these are things that read really need to be addressed. Look,
- 31:31Speaker 1: if a person commits a crime, everybody in prison, first
- 31:35Speaker 1: of all, is not guilty. Everybody in prison has not
- 31:39Speaker 1: received fair punishment befitting the crime. Let's just be honest
- 31:46Speaker 1: about this. There are some people doing some time for justice.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Out and out racism. Yeah, now we know that racism exists.
- 31:58Speaker 1: It's hard to get these systems to admit to it.
- 32:02Speaker 1: So what we need, man, is for things like this
- 32:06Speaker 1: to really get behind it. So instead of going to
- 32:08Speaker 1: social media with the means and the ignorant statements about
- 32:12Speaker 1: what could be wrong, making fun of the water, these
- 32:15Speaker 1: are human beings who a lot of them are doing
- 32:20Speaker 1: their time, but their time doesn't have to be a
- 32:24Speaker 1: living hell, right, they should just do their times. Not
- 32:31Speaker 1: having drinking water and sewage facilities, I can't tell you
- 32:35Speaker 1: about the heat, the food, and just the way they
- 32:38Speaker 1: treat people and they don't have safety around. These people's deplorable.
- 32:43Speaker 1: And as a nation, we should be better than that.
- 32:45Speaker 1: With the richest country in the world with the highest
- 32:47Speaker 1: prison population, we have to do a better job. Command
- 32:53Speaker 1: Rock Nation, Yeah, we do stave. All right, let's switch
- 32:56Speaker 1: gears here, time now for today's headlines. Fee ladies and gentlemen,
- 33:00Speaker 1: Miss ann Trip, thank you, thank you very much, in
- 33:02Speaker 1: good morning. Members of the House of Representatives delivered two
- 33:05Speaker 1: articles of impeachment to the US Senate yesterday against Donald Trump,
- 33:09Speaker 1: thus clearing the way for his impeachment trial, which is
- 33:11Speaker 1: expected to begin next week. The President says he's not
- 33:15Speaker 1: worried and expects to be acquitted. However, didn't look that
- 33:18Speaker 1: way yesterday while the Commander in chief was at the
- 33:20Speaker 1: White House with Chinese leader signing a new trade deal.
- 33:23Speaker 1: We're delighted that the Chinese consumers will now enjoy the
- 33:26Speaker 1: greater access to the best products on Earth. Those may
- 33:30Speaker 1: grown and raised right here in the USA. Chinese say,
- 33:33Speaker 1: by the way, the deal is good for them because
- 33:35Speaker 1: it's what they wanted anyway. At one point, Trump looked
- 33:37Speaker 1: at the Republican lawmakers in the room, though, and he
- 33:40Speaker 1: urged them to get to work on something else. It's
- 33:42Speaker 1: not going to matter because it's going very well. But
- 33:44Speaker 1: I'd rather have you voting than sitting here listening to
- 33:46Speaker 1: me introduce you. Okay, they have a hoax going on
- 33:50Speaker 1: over there, let's take care of it. See. Administration officials
- 33:53Speaker 1: say they expect the trial to end, by the way,
- 33:55Speaker 1: in under two weeks. On the subject of the Congress's
- 33:58Speaker 1: effort to alter the War Power Act to try and
- 34:00Speaker 1: limit Trump's ability to wage war without Congressional support, four
- 34:04Speaker 1: members of the GOP now say they're breaking ranks in
- 34:06Speaker 1: their radia vote with the Democrats. Excuse me, those joining
- 34:10Speaker 1: the Democrats Senator Susan Collins of Maine, Mike Lee of Utah,
- 34:14Speaker 1: Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Todd Young of Indiana. A
- 34:17Speaker 1: federal judgy says that President Trump cannot give state and
- 34:20Speaker 1: local government's veto power to turn refugees away. Back in September,
- 34:25Speaker 1: presidents signed an executive order requiring written consent from state
- 34:28Speaker 1: and local officials before refugees can settle in their jurisdictions.
- 34:32Speaker 1: That order has been challenged in court. The entire entire
- 34:36Speaker 1: Russian government resigned yesterday. President Vladimir Putin's already named a
- 34:40Speaker 1: new prime minister and a whole series of constitutional amendment.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Excuse me, guys, Federal climate scign to say the twenty
- 34:48Speaker 1: nineteen was the second warmest year ever, the second hottest
- 34:53Speaker 1: since they started keeping records in eighteen eighty. According to
- 34:56Speaker 1: a recent study. Get this, a lot of millennials consider
- 34:59Speaker 1: pe starter kids. That's right. In fact, forty percent at
- 35:03Speaker 1: least of those asked say that's the reason they got
- 35:06Speaker 1: a pet in the first place. The most popular pet
- 35:08Speaker 1: in this country is still a dog, next cat, and
- 35:12Speaker 1: some people like snakes. I don't know. And finally, this
- 35:15Speaker 1: seems like what's going on with me right now? Today
- 35:17Speaker 1: is National Spicy Food Days. Yeah, I don't know. I
- 35:23Speaker 1: think I had a spicy meat boil or somewhere. Anyway,
- 35:25Speaker 1: we'll see. By the way, I wanted to add that
- 35:27Speaker 1: this story it Subourban. Indianapolis cop now fired for harrassing
- 35:33Speaker 1: two black men who were simply shopping at a clothing
- 35:36Speaker 1: store during Christmas, telling them it was because they were
- 35:39Speaker 1: quote acting suspicious. He then demanded to see their IDs
- 35:42Speaker 1: and is actually seen on videos saying I got my
- 35:46Speaker 1: rights to do anything I want to. I'm a police officer.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Well again he's fired. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:50Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening, all right, y'all, I promise you something,
- 35:56Speaker 1: and let's well, he's a family member. Man's dude's been
- 35:59Speaker 1: on this show so many times. He's an Emmy Award
- 36:02Speaker 1: winning television and radio personality in our generation, the most
- 36:07Speaker 1: highly respected journalist, and now his focus is on taking
- 36:12Speaker 1: a comprehensive look into the current state of Black America
- 36:16Speaker 1: in his new book, which is appropriately titled Conversations in
- 36:21Speaker 1: Black on Power, Politics and Leadership. Ladies and gentlemen, Mister
- 36:27Speaker 1: Ed Gordon, Hey man, how you doing, man, I'm good man.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I cannot complain, bro, hey man, let's talk about it
- 36:38Speaker 1: because in this book, which I'm really anxious to read, man,
- 36:42Speaker 1: because I know you and on a personal level, man,
- 36:45Speaker 1: you go deep. You get into the richness of a
- 36:48Speaker 1: subject when you covered so in Conversations In Black Man,
- 36:51Speaker 1: you discuss racism that's some of the overt racism that
- 36:55Speaker 1: we face now, and you cover everything from Colin Kaepernick's
- 36:58Speaker 1: activism in Black Lives Matter movement, the pain of Nipsey
- 37:03Speaker 1: Hustle's death, and deprid of the Black Panther. Just tell
- 37:07Speaker 1: us about what was your thinking on putting this book together.
- 37:10Speaker 1: As you all know, you know often when you do interviews,
- 37:13Speaker 1: the best parts of your interviews happened before or after
- 37:16Speaker 1: the mic has turned off. And I've had great conversations
- 37:19Speaker 1: with people over the years, and you know, I started thinking, Man,
- 37:23Speaker 1: wouldn't it be great if I could have those conversations
- 37:26Speaker 1: and bring them to people. And then I thought about
- 37:28Speaker 1: all the diverse folks I talked to, and so I
- 37:31Speaker 1: started this idea. In twenty twelve, had to put it
- 37:35Speaker 1: down because I got a TV project, looked at where
- 37:37Speaker 1: the world is today and picked it back up. So
- 37:40Speaker 1: what I did is I knew I couldn't get all
- 37:42Speaker 1: these people in the same room, So I became the
- 37:44Speaker 1: Lynch Pen. I interviewed forty plus of our top leaders
- 37:48Speaker 1: and influencers. Let me just give you a quick list.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Maxine Waters, Ian Lavanza Charlomagne and God, Stacy Abrams, Eric Holder,
- 37:55Speaker 1: Jamel Hill, Al Sharpton, Michael, Eric Dyson, t I Angela
- 37:59Speaker 1: Ry for Rain. The list goes on and on, Ben Crump,
- 38:04Speaker 1: Trayvon Martin's mother Sabrina Forth. It's forty of these folks.
- 38:07Speaker 1: And then I wrote the book as if we were
- 38:09Speaker 1: all in the same room having a conversation. The Great
- 38:12Speaker 1: Harabellafani was part of a Killer Mike And each chapter
- 38:17Speaker 1: is a different subject. And so what I found is
- 38:20Speaker 1: people tend to be very candid if there's no camera around,
- 38:24Speaker 1: and so we literally talk about everything. We talk about
- 38:28Speaker 1: black leadership, we talk about the black political muscle, we
- 38:31Speaker 1: talk about images in the media. You know, I saw
- 38:34Speaker 1: Tyler Perry yesterday and Tyler has talked about extensively in
- 38:38Speaker 1: that chapter. You know, people love what he's done as
- 38:41Speaker 1: a mogul, but there's some people who still have issue
- 38:43Speaker 1: with the art that he puts out. You know, Black leadership,
- 38:46Speaker 1: are they doing the job they should do? We reflect
- 38:49Speaker 1: on Obama's years. So it's a book that you don't
- 38:52Speaker 1: have to be a political junkie. It's not written academically.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It's written as if we were all sitting around in
- 38:57Speaker 1: the backyard talking out of barbecue and it's it's very
- 39:01Speaker 1: very candid. Hey, y'all, hang on right there. Oh, we're
- 39:04Speaker 1: gonna have more with Ed Gordon right after this sit
- 39:06Speaker 1: tight you're listening, all right, y'all, we're back and we're
- 39:12Speaker 1: talking to one of the great journalists of our time,
- 39:14Speaker 1: my man or mister Ed Gordon. Let let's let me
- 39:19Speaker 1: just touch on one subject that I know it's anyboo
- 39:21Speaker 1: because about the Colin Kaepernick. Just give me a couple
- 39:25Speaker 1: of points that you that you would cover talking about
- 39:30Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick. We'll really talk about activism in general. And
- 39:34Speaker 1: you know, whether or not we like to support an activist,
- 39:39Speaker 1: but how far are we willing to go? Tommy Smith,
- 39:41Speaker 1: the brother for those that don't know, in sixty Olympics,
- 39:45Speaker 1: he and John Carlos had the picture of the fifth up,
- 39:47Speaker 1: the iconic picture um in protest. He's in the book
- 39:51Speaker 1: as well, and he talks about the idea of what
- 39:53Speaker 1: they were willing to do. And I have suggested that,
- 39:57Speaker 1: you know, if you really supported Colin Kaepernick, it ain't
- 39:59Speaker 1: an to buy his Nike shoes. It's not enough. You know,
- 40:02Speaker 1: one weekend we all should have said, including black players,
- 40:07Speaker 1: we're just not gonna watch football that weekend. Black folks,
- 40:09Speaker 1: just don't watch football, Go to the movie, go do
- 40:11Speaker 1: something else. Black players, all of all gets sick just
- 40:14Speaker 1: one weekend, just one weekend, all of you, including the stars, right,
- 40:19Speaker 1: we're gonna do then who's playing that? Because then you
- 40:22Speaker 1: start to speak from a position of power. Now, is
- 40:26Speaker 1: it ideally to assume we're all gonna walk in lockstep?
- 40:29Speaker 1: Yeah it is, because that didn't even happen in sixties.
- 40:32Speaker 1: But there came a critical point where all of those
- 40:35Speaker 1: people in Montgomery decided, we're not getting on that bus.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Yeah right, we all come into Washington to march when
- 40:41Speaker 1: King calls. And I'm talking about the vast majority. So
- 40:45Speaker 1: if every superstar, black superstar decided, you know what, they
- 40:49Speaker 1: can't fire us all. We're just not playing the second
- 40:52Speaker 1: Sunday of next season until they get this right, because
- 40:56Speaker 1: look at the Rooney Rude two thousand and three. Look
- 40:59Speaker 1: at the coach that were hired after this season, not
- 41:02Speaker 1: one black coach. Right, you want to see why things
- 41:05Speaker 1: haven't changed five years ago? Oscar so white. It's still
- 41:09Speaker 1: very pale. So it's time for us to have real
- 41:14Speaker 1: conversations about new narratives and what we're gonna do. And
- 41:18Speaker 1: then once we have the conversations, we got to start
- 41:22Speaker 1: to move. Wow. Yeah, yeah, it's always been in that guy.

- 53:46Speaker 1: nude when we met. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am a
- 53:50Speaker 1: thirty one year old single man. I'm six four and
- 53:53Speaker 1: I work out five days a week, so I'm in
- 53:56Speaker 1: great physical condition. I am a doctor now, and I
- 53:59Speaker 1: come from a large family, so to put myself through
- 54:02Speaker 1: medical school, I worked as a mail dancer and porn star,
- 54:06Speaker 1: and I was able to make a lot of money.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Sex was never a problem for me, and when I worked,
- 54:15Speaker 1: I was having sex up to five times a day
- 54:17Speaker 1: with all kinds of voluptuous women. I didn't think much
- 54:21Speaker 1: about sex because it was my job. All of that
- 54:24Speaker 1: changed when I met a new girl at work. She
- 54:28Speaker 1: walked into the set and we both were nude, and
- 54:31Speaker 1: she had the most beautiful body I'd ever seen. She
- 54:35Speaker 1: was a veteran in the industry, and I was intrigued
- 54:38Speaker 1: that she wanted to work with me. We had sex
- 54:41Speaker 1: on camera and it was instant chemistry. It was like
- 54:45Speaker 1: we were made for each other. Sex didn't mean much
- 54:49Speaker 1: to her either, Steve, You're gonna love this line, but
- 54:53Speaker 1: she had to admit that I was very good at
- 54:56Speaker 1: what I did. He ended up being friends with benefits,
- 55:02Speaker 1: and that's all we could be since she was married.
- 55:06Speaker 1: There's also an age difference she's older, but that never
- 55:09Speaker 1: mattered to her and we have been in our situationship
- 55:14Speaker 1: for over six years. To this day. I'm still under
- 55:18Speaker 1: her spell. She is not happy in her marriage, but
- 55:21Speaker 1: she told me she'd never get a divorce because her
- 55:24Speaker 1: husband always supported her lifestyle and he has been good
- 55:28Speaker 1: to her. I love her too, and I want to
- 55:30Speaker 1: be with her. You love her too, Junior. I'm thinking
- 55:35Speaker 1: about moving to a neighboring city to get a fresh start,
- 55:38Speaker 1: but I'm afraid she will forget about me. Am I
- 55:41Speaker 1: crazy to think she might have a change of heart
- 55:43Speaker 1: and want me, Uncle Steve, Should I start dating other
- 55:46Speaker 1: women or should I keep shooting my shot with her? Well,
- 55:51Speaker 1: you know we're going to tell you, at least I am,
- 55:54Speaker 1: stop shooting your shot with her. You know we're going
- 55:57Speaker 1: to tell you to leave this married woman, of course,
- 55:59Speaker 1: because that is the right thing to do. Everybody says
- 56:02Speaker 1: they're not happy in their marriage when you're dating them. Yeah,
- 56:05Speaker 1: everyone says that when when they're in an affair, they're
- 56:08Speaker 1: not happy in their marriage. Everybody says that, Um, whooo,
- 56:13Speaker 1: who are you talking to? Who say it? Yes? You did? Yes,
- 56:23Speaker 1: she did? Be quiet, Okay, be quiet just because we're
- 56:28Speaker 1: talking about naked people. You think you can get into letter,
- 56:31Speaker 1: all right. I definitely think you should go ahead and
- 56:34Speaker 1: move to a neighboring city and get a fresh start. Yes,
- 56:37Speaker 1: you have chemistry with this woman. Yes, she's beautiful, the
- 56:40Speaker 1: most beautiful body you've ever seen. Yes you you know
- 56:44Speaker 1: you guys love working together and you're intrigued and you're
- 56:46Speaker 1: under her spell and you've been together for over six years.
- 56:50Speaker 1: But how is this gonna work? I mean, you want
- 56:53Speaker 1: to just keep Hope alive thinking that she's gonna leave
- 56:55Speaker 1: her husband. It usually never works out that way. Okay,
- 56:58Speaker 1: it just does. You're doctor. You can get someone. Okay,
- 57:04Speaker 1: keep Hope alive. Yeah, are you crazy to think she
- 57:06Speaker 1: might have a change of heart and want you? I mean,
- 57:08Speaker 1: you're not crazy, but most people who think that their
- 57:11Speaker 1: wish does not come true. For the most part. You
- 57:14Speaker 1: got to start dating other women and stop shooting your shot.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Because you've been with her for six years and nothing's changed.
- 57:19Speaker 1: It is time to move on, mister six four working
- 57:23Speaker 1: out five days a week and a doctor. Now you
- 57:26Speaker 1: can find someone else, all right, Steve, and you make
- 57:28Speaker 1: a lot of money. Come on, See what what, Shirley?
- 57:33Speaker 1: You heard me? I mean every word of that. This
- 57:35Speaker 1: was your response to this, Like this is normal? You
- 57:47Speaker 1: should leave this married woman? One we're talking about two
- 57:50Speaker 1: punch dolls. Heros. Guys, who are you? Why are you
- 57:58Speaker 1: trying to have a morality? Coming with two damn porn stars?
- 58:05Speaker 1: He asked the question he did talking about the right
- 58:08Speaker 1: thing to do, the right thing to do. They as
- 58:14Speaker 1: he's a damn about the right thing. He's a doctor.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Now they screw old camera for a living and for money.
- 58:29Speaker 1: This is prostitution being filmed. This is what this is
- 58:36Speaker 1: to have sense for money? That's talking about surely, how
- 58:45Speaker 1: dare you? I'm too much of a Christian sometimes being
- 58:51Speaker 1: a doctor? He did that to to work his way
- 58:54Speaker 1: through school. You heard that medical school, girl? You heard that?
- 59:01Speaker 1: How many times have you heard strippers say this? But
- 59:05Speaker 1: you steal a sneer? If you I'm girl, just give
- 59:12Speaker 1: your answer. That's my answer, Just give yours. My answer
- 59:16Speaker 1: is about your answer. So I answer this on the
- 59:20Speaker 1: second half of this letter. Everybody's gonna understand why I'm not.
- 59:24Speaker 1: I don't give a damn but that I don't want
- 59:26Speaker 1: you to change yours. I'm gonna aar go from a
- 59:29Speaker 1: disappoint standpoint and what I don't want you doing this time,
- 59:33Speaker 1: my aunt an Steve, that's too much. We don't want
- 59:35Speaker 1: to do that on the air well, we're doing that
- 59:37Speaker 1: on You know I'm gonna say that, all right, and
- 59:39Speaker 1: we know we're gonna do this on the air. You did, Joe,
- 59:44Speaker 1: all right, Look, we'll have part two of Steve's gonna
- 59:46Speaker 1: workout five days a week. Yeah, that's what you're mad about.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Just say it, really, just say it what. They ain't
- 59:54Speaker 1: got a damn thing to do with it. Nothing. At
- 59:58Speaker 1: you'll find out what I'm mad about. Come on, let's go.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with Steve's response coming up
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: with twenty three minutes after the hour, subjects we were
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: nude when we met. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter. Subject we were
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: nude when we met. He is a man. He gonna
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: try to trick us with workout five days, so I'm
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: in great physical condition. They ain't upset about nothing. I
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: don't care. I ain't thirty one. I am a doctor
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: now and I come from a large family. Oh man, congratulations,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: don't in the net of stars turning so to put
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: myself through medical school this way we post to give
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: everything I worked as a male dancer and a pawn
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: star and was able to make a lot of money.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Sex was never a problem for me when I worked. Okay, Dog,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: a lot of people can say that I can make
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: that statement. Really, sex has never been a problem for
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: me when I worked. But then this is where the
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: letter take a turn. I would having sex up to
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: five times a day with all kinds of voluptuous women.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: That's never happened. I didn't think that much about sex
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: because it was my job. All that change when I
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: met a new girl at work. She walked on the
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: set and we were both nude, and she had the
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: most beautiful body I had ever seen. We all get
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: in lyne, homie, you ain't the only one seen this
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: beautiful body. She was a veteran in the industry. I
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: was intrigued that she wanted to work with me. She
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: didn't work with everybody else vtrick in the industry, and
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I was I was. I was intrigued that she wanted
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: to work with me. She didn't work with everybody else.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: We had sex on camera, and it was instant chemistry. Okay,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: it was like we was made for each other. Yes,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: come on, Dog, sex didn't mean much to her either,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I guess not. I don't mean nothing to her. We
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: ended up being friends with benefits and that's all we
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: could be sense. And here where Shirley started getting real
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Christian since she was married, was in the borno Star
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: is Married. Yeah, obviously DS wasn't the same. Vows you
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: bosed to take one of the lines in the marriage.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: But I says to cling unto her and only onto her.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: She didn't latched on her everybody come on the set.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: There's also an age difference because she's older or not
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: an all veteran, you thirty one putting it on you
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: like you ain't ever had before. But that never mattered
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: to her. And we have been in this situation for
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: over six years, so you've been the side piece for
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: six years. To this day, I'm still under her spell.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: She did something. You know why she could at it
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: because she do it all the time. She get paid
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: for this vetrigger practice. She had done stuff for you.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: She learned this stuff. She is not happy in her marriage.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: But let me guess why he's appointed. Star is not
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: in her happy because she sleep with a lot of men,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: and a lot of men sleep with her better then
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: her husband do. You're damn right. She ain't happy because
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: she got too many people to compare to. The list
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: goes more. I like Thunderboat. I like Thunderboat, I like
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Beef Jecket, I like Powerhouse. I like Big Don Daddy Daddy,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I like Frank Spook, I like I like tantalizing Terrorists.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I like Ben Juicy Jr. Own. She got a lot
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: that she going to her and then she said she
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: ain't happy in her marm. But she told me she'd
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: never get a divorce because her husband always supported her
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: lifestyle and he has been good to her. Hell yeah,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: he stayed with her. Over to you though, yo, dumbass,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: that's a doctor want to marry upon stock And when
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: you take her up to the office and eighteen and
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: your customers recognized, ain't that? And he know what's gonna
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: happen because he says, I love her too, and I
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: want to be with her. Sir, you want to be
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: with her? You want boy? Oh, let me read this line.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: She I love her too and I want to be
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: with her. You want to be with her? You know
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: how many men want to be with her. You can't
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: count the men that hadn't been with her. Your dumb ass.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Don't take your ass and go to work and quit
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: being stupid. Now this is how stupid he is. I'm
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: thinking about moving to a neighboring city to get a
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: fresh start, but I'm afraid she'll forget about me. Am
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I crazy to think she might have a change of heart.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: You better hope she don't and won't meet boy. She
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: won't shoot who she don't won't give me that she
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: was all right, So Steve, we gotta get out of

- 1:10:23Speaker 1: All right, So here we go. All right, well, listen
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: to this. The ladies. You know, I told you they
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: went to Toronto for a big trip and Porsche's ex
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: fiance he surprised her at this party that they were
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: at and he reproposed to her and so, yeah, well,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: you know, getting married. No, he you know, he cheated
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: while she was pregnant carrying their baby. She broke it
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: off and he's trying to fix it. He's trying to
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: get his woman back, so he can't urge you. So
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: he came to Toronto and reproposed to his woman, Porsche,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: and they're trying to work things rout worked things out. Anyway,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: after the party, it was time to get down to
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: snake Gate. Remember I told you guys that somebody was
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: recording Cynthia talking about Nini and they were trying to
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: find out who who surprize a prize. It was the
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: new girl. You know, it was a new girl, Yavanya.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: It was her, and ladies got come on, Junior, Vona,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: I love that. Yes, so wait check this out, Junior.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: The ladies they got into it. Cynthia got into it
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: with Marlow, Porscha got into it with Yvonia and Kenya
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: and Nini got into it as well. Take listen, okay, listen.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Let me ask where you would not talking about mama family.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: That's what you want to do. I don't want that one.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: This realm is in your room and you get come on,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I say hear what I have to say. I will
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: talk to you another when you had the time and
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: you had your I can't you shy? That sounds like
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: a fan of Wow. It was so ugly. They were
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: all in the hotel room. They were arguing, and the
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: scary thing was either she you know, she's pregnant at
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: the time. She's trying to stop Cynthia Marla from getting
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: into it, and Candy was like, you need to go
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: to your room. You're pregnant. Don't don't be in none
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: of this, you know, with these start fighting, but ever
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: let off kt show. Whatever they fight, they fight, they do.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: So anyway, it was just ugly. Folks left the room.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: They went to their room. So after that, it was
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: the next morning Yavannia. She packed her bags and left
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: went back home to Atlanta. Uh Nini left because she
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: had a show or a gig, you know that she
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: had to host. So she left and the ladies put
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: on their costumes. They party with the Canadians during Carnival.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: It was a lot like Mighty Gras. They had a
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: good time. They looked like they had a lot of fun.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: But then towards the end of the episode, Kenya, she's
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: so wrong for this. She's talking to Tenny. Tanny was
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the one that hosted the trip. Kenya asked Tanya like
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: a hypothetical cheating scenario that she heard uh from a
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: lady who owns a cookie like a bakery play. Basically,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: this woman told Cynthia and Kenya that Tanya's fiance flirted
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: with her. So it was kind of like Kenya put
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: that mess out there. She didn't get real specific with Tanya,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: didn't say it was her man Anyway, Tanya was just
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: basically saying, in this relationship with her fiance Paul, if
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: she ever found out he was cheating, it would be over.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Then she said later that she would just be heartbroken.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: But that was just a little messy for Kenya to
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: even go with that. So you know, everybody was like, oh,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: the cookie lady said, oh man was flirting with her.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: So a lot of drama with that. So that's that.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: That is Real Housewives of Atlanta. You want to talk
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: more about it, hit me up on social media. All right,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: we'll be back in twenty after you're listening show and
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: trending musical news. This is really good news. Yesterday it
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: was announced that Whitney Houston, the Doobie Brothers, and Notorious
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Big will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: of Fame. Yeah, yes, yes, deserve Yeah well yeah we
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: love these everybody, Whitney and Big. We do. Thirty fifth
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: take place at Cleveland's Public Hall on May second. And
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Steve is singing a junior thinks you're singing Jodice right now?
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Would you please tell him about singing jodice right now,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: would you please tell him about stupid as Hold. Hold,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: let's stop this right now, we're talking about the Rock
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Jodicee would never
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: be inducted in them. No, don't say that. I can't
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: say that. They could be in order ticketed at the
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Rocking Wrold Hall of Fame. So wife Folk, she's gonna
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: to know about you? Is group and the old Sheep
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: did not crawl him. One should be in the Hall
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: of Famer. Yes, all right, listen, we got more of
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: the Steve Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Some training news as well.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Morning Show in
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: today's entertainment news. All right, So Yo, Gotti, David Banner,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: and other celebrities are fighting injustices in the prison system
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: in Mississippi. Jay Z's Rock Nation and its high powered
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: attorney Alex Spiro will represent the prisoners after spike and
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: deadly violence at several Mississippi state prisons and to fight
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: deplorable prison conditions. The lawsuit filed on Tuesday in federal court. Uh,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: they have been at there have been at least five
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: prisoners who have died in Mississippi. In the maximum security prison,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Parchment doesn't have enough mattresses for the inmates, cells are
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: covered in black mold, and ross sewage is spilling onto
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: the floors. The prison allegedly has a serious water problem too.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: In the lawsuit, Team Rock Nation claims the drinking water
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: for inmates repeatedly fails to meet federal standard safety standards. Also,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: according to the lawsuit, inmates are exposed to serious harm
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: and left unprotected because there just aren't enough prison guards. Yogatti,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: David Banner, other community leaders are demanding that Mississippi Governor
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Phil Bryant make changes or face a lawsuit. The suit
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: seeks damages for the inmates and an order and an
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: order from Mississippi's Department of Corrections to lay out a
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: plan to address all of these issues, especially increasing staff
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: and cleaning up sewage. Yogatti said, the lives of countless
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: individuals in Mississippi prison they are at stake, and we
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: will not stop until this is fixed. So shout out
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: to them. Yeah, man, I really do hope this is effective.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: I really really do, because these are things that we
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: really need to be addressed. Look, if a person commits
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: a crime, everybody in prison, first of all, is not guilty.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Everybody in prison has not received fair punishment befitting the crime.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Let's just be honest about this. Now, some people doing
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: some time for over juice and yeah, now we know
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: that racism exists, it's hard to get these systems to
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: admit to it. So what we need, man, is for
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: things like this to really get behind it. So instead
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: of going to social media with the means and the
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: ignorant statements about what could be wrong making fun at
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: the water. These are human beings who a lot of
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: them are doing their time. But their time doesn't have
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: to be a living hell, right, they should just do
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: their time in humane conditions. Yeah, not having drinking water
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: and sewage facilities. I can't tell you about the heat,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: the food, and just the way they treat people and
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: they don't have safety around these People's deplorable. And as
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: a nation, we should be better than that. With the
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: richest country in the world with the highest prison population,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: we have to do a better job. Come and rock Nation, Yeah,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: we do. Steve, coming up our last break of the
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: day and we'll have some closing remarks from the one
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after right
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: after this you're listening to. All right, here we are
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: our last break of the day. It's been a good day.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: That's for you, Anthony Brown. He'll be back tomorrow. We
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: missed Jay. We love you. I don't our friendship and
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: I'm not going to say that because we've never been
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: that type of friends. And the last time he text me,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: he called me an evil name that I can't say
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: on that and I texted him back one word. Let
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: us know what he said. Well, the initials was b B.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: That's what he called me. First word black black black. Yeah,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: of course I know what too left many that's I
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: go to black boys, don't call him yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: And I text him f y that's his go to
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: the time. But we got word. Then the next word
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: was en yo. Oh okay, all right, you want to
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: do clothing after all? This be positive? He gonna say
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: that didn't try to inspire me, right, Oh yeah, that's
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: him though. That's the real Steve. What I mean, you
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: know what Sherton, I mean, call it you absolutely correct.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I don't. I've never pretended to be anything more than
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: what I was. I never promised anybody perfection. I do.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I do, I have strive. My new thing in twenty
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: twenty is not perfection, but persistence. I just try to
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: put the same level of effort into becoming a better person. Now.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: When I fall short, as we all do from time
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: to time, I just accepted and move on. I want
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: to take a moment for this subject today. Close remarks
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: would be a little short, I may do it. Tommy
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: sent me a post to sort of give me a
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: thought starter, and it made a lot of sense to me.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: And I've touched on this subject many times before, but
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: it gave me a new set of thoughts. The post said,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: when you carry bricks from your past, you end up
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: building the same house. When you carry bricks from your past,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: you end up building the same house. How many times
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: have you met someone, or you know someone, or maybe
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: even yourself that something has happened had happened to you
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: in your past and you just couldn't let it go,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: And you try to start something new, and you bring
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: that baggage with you, or you bring them same bricks
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: with you, and so now you're trying to move forward,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: but you're trying to move forward with the same bricks,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: and you end up like the post, say, building the
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: same house because we simply just didn't let it go.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: You know, God is really really brilliant man, the way
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: he set this thing up, because he set it up
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: in three parts. He set up the past, he set
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: up the present, and he set up the future. And
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: he gave them all names that we could apply to
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: our life to day. The past they simply name that
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: history because it belongs in the past. It's a part
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: of history. Now the future, it belongs to the future.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: The reason it don't need another late, another name is
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: because no one knows exactly what it holds. We can
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: hope and want for things in the future, but we
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: don't know what the future holds. It's the future. The
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: past belongs to history, The future belongs to God. The
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: present is all we have. And they call it the
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: present because it is a present from God. Because we
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: have now. That is the one thing that we can
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: do something about now. We can't control what happens in now,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: but we can control what we do about now every
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: single step of the way. But if you are constantly
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: bringing bricks from your past, which belongs to history, you
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: will continue to build the same house. So let me
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: simplify this for me. You know what, Steve, Sometimes you
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: just got to let it go because if it goes,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: if it's gone away from you, it's gone for a reason.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: Sometimes you don't need to rekindle that old relationship, it's
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: gone for a reason. Sometimes you don't need to interject
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: that business partner back into your life because it's gone
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: for a reason. Sometimes you don't have to bring up
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: that issue that you got over ten years ago because
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: it's gone for a reason. Sometimes you don't have to
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: let that friend back in your life that wronged you
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: and let them back in your life with the promise
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: of day've changed. Well, if you've changed, congratulations, I applaud
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: you and I wish you the best. But I'm not
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: fit to sit through to see if the change will
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: affect our current friendship because it didn't work in the past.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: That don't make me wrong or evil. But guess what
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: I've just learned in my life as I approach my
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: next birthday, to just let it go. Let it go
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: everything in the past. I let go every valuable lesson
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I've learned from the past. I remember them, I retain them,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: and I use them when I build my new house.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: But then bricks that old stuff, that old stuff the
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: more than the breaking the same Seamen. I don't want
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: none of that because I'm allowing God to do a
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: new thing in me, a brand new thing in me.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: So forget the thing of the past and let God
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: do a new thing in you in twenty twenty. Those
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: are my closing remarks. Yeah let it go. You let
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: that note go. If you let that note close, got
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: to help us off frozen sound boy, Shut up Junior
