- 0:04Alan Carroll: Hello, everybody. And welcome to the mindful you
- 0:08podcast where we traveled down various metaphysical paths that
- 0:18has been explored by our guest. My name is Alan Carroll. And I
- 0:25have been a student of mindfulness and meditation for
- 0:30many, many, many, many years. And I am pleased to bring to you
- 0:38today, bol Maxwell, she lives down in the southern parts of
- 0:45Colorado, place called Durango. And she describes her work her
- 0:55point of service as the results of being a very down to earth
- 1:07mathematics major, follow the directions point by point by
- 1:12point. And this metaphysical woowoo stuff. Nah, that's not,
- 1:18that's not real stuff. That's not real science. She had an
- 1:24experience, though, that she shares with us, that changed the
- 1:30whole thing. When her grandmother died 1000s of miles
- 1:38away, almost instantaneously appearing before her for three
- 1:47or four seconds, was the experience of her grandmother
- 1:53being present with her. She says it was like maybe like 70%,
- 1:58solid 10% 30% sort of waves and but there was definitely her
- 2:05grandmother, it was definitely she wore something. And that
- 2:10really woke her up to a an experience that there was
- 2:14something other than the physical reality, there was also
- 2:20a metaphysical reality. And so she began to explore it, she
- 2:25began to work in that area. And she developed a a methodology
- 2:30that she shares with us, called the sage method, where she, over
- 2:38a certain period of time, you develop that intuitive muscle
- 2:44inside of you that mindfulness muscle, that space of, of
- 2:51unknowing, and being in that space, and sharing the results
- 2:58and experiences of that space. And so it's exciting for me to
- 3:03be able to bring to you this wonderful, clarity. Also when
- 3:10she speaks she she speaks with a sense of I have experienced it.
- 3:15And I can clearly articulate what I experienced. And so I'm
- 3:21sure you'll be as impressed as I am with our guest, Bo Maxwell.
- 3:28And please welcome her to the mindful you. Podcast. Welcome,
- 3:39Paul Maxwell, to the mindful you podcast. I am happy to see you
- 3:44and excited to have you share your stories with our audience,
- 3:49as you have journey down your paths of mindfulness and
- 3:54spirituality, in that. I call it almost like the healing arts
- 3:59business. It's everything is everyone seems to be end up
- 4:02being teachers and healers and different names, but it's
- 4:05something to do with healing and teaching. So I'd like to open up
- 4:08the microphone and have you come on up and share your little
- 4:13background ball of what events worked like Wake Up Calls that
- 4:19really caused you to say, Whoa, something has happened in here
- 4:24that I wasn't aware of. And you began to explore that space. So
- 4:28I'd like to open it up and have you share a little bit of your
- 4:31story. Absolutely,
- 4:33Beau Maxwell: absolutely. I I really had a shift in life.
- 4:37Absolute shift. And like I love how you say everyone becomes,
- 4:40you know, teachers, coaches, mentors, things like this. I
- 4:43think that's such an important part of bringing community back
- 4:46together. So thank you for having me here. Now, my journey
- 4:51was a little different, just in the sense that up until 32 years
- 4:56old, I was a complete I was a complete Scout Did I wasn't
- 5:01actively pushing skepticism or trying to prove anyone wrong, I
- 5:05just didn't have any time, or or interest in religion or
- 5:09spirituality or anything that was invisible. Anything that
- 5:12fell into that category that didn't fit the science mold for
- 5:16me, just wasn't real. There was there was a way. And to the
- 5:23point where Alan I was a, I was a math major in college like
- 5:29this was how I functioned. You know, I ran businesses and such.
- 5:33So 32 years old. I've got two small kids, and I'm on one side
- 5:39of the country and my grandmother's on the other side,
- 5:41and, and sadly, she passed. Now I was on the phone with the
- 5:45family, I was very close to my grandmother. And I was on the
- 5:48phone with the family. They were in the actual hospice room with
- 5:52her. So she was surrounded by family, and I couldn't be there.
- 5:55But I could at least listen and be present. She passed, I hung
- 6:00up the phone, my family said, Roll run to the store for snacks
- 6:06for you and give you a minute. I was like, thank you. It was the
- 6:08middle of the day. And I remember standing in the living
- 6:11room, feeling like I was going to absolutely just fall apart.
- 6:17We knew it was coming. Everyone understands this process of
- 6:20grief. But I was standing there and I thought, well, maybe I'll
- 6:24maybe I'll look for airline tickets instead. Right, maybe
- 6:27I'll distract myself. And I'm standing there. And she showed
- 6:31up right in the middle of the living room. And right in front
- 6:35of me too. I know that a lot of us we catch things out of the
- 6:38corner of our eye and I get that question quite often did it did
- 6:42she wish out of the corner of your eye and she was right in
- 6:44front of me. She was about 70% solid. So there was no way that
- 6:51I could brush that off or deny that that was happening. And
- 6:57we're talking standard cream colored apartment cream colored
- 7:01floor cream walls, like and then she's right there. I remember
- 7:05jumping backwards. And it was a panic at first because this was
- 7:10not in any realm or concept that I would even entertained. And I
- 7:16remember saying to her if that was you don't do that again. And
- 7:20then I remember feeling bad that I said that.
- 7:22Alan Carroll: Again, you said to yourself, I said out
- 7:25Unknown: loud. If that was you don't do that again.
- 7:28Alan Carroll: Oh, to scare you like that. You just
- 7:31Unknown: don't even do this as I don't want anything to do with
- 7:34this. And that was my reactive reaction to it was sort of a
- 7:40stop. No. And then. And then she when she left. She was there for
- 7:46probably three seconds. So not long enough to engage in any
- 7:52sort of conversation. She winked at me. She smiled. Now I know
- 7:56that she thought she was cute as a button when she did it. But at
- 7:59the time, it was really frightening. And so I sat down,
- 8:05calm down by the time. By the time I calmed down, I was
- 8:09sitting on the floor leaning up against the wall, because I
- 8:11don't know for some reason the wall was you know, nothing can
- 8:14get you behind a wall, right, whatever. So I was running
- 8:18through all of the pop culture movies in my head. And I just I
- 8:22told myself, it's grief. You just manifested a hallucination,
- 8:26it's grief. It's fine. Didn't say anything, went to bed. The
- 8:31next morning, over breakfast, my husband at the time said, you
- 8:35know, had the super realistic dream of your grandmother. And
- 8:39this is what she was wearing. And it was exactly what she was
- 8:43wearing when she was in the living room the night before the
- 8:46day before. And I thought okay, then I started to feel these
- 8:51almost roller coaster rushes that would go through my body
- 8:55that I had never felt before. And I found the one person that
- 9:01I thought I could talk to around spirituality and it happened to
- 9:05be a local Tai Chi instructor that I didn't even really know.
- 9:09And I remember going up to him and saying, you know, and he's
- 9:13such a kind man, because while imagine this coming at you, but
- 9:17I remember walking in saying okay, you're the strangest
- 9:19person I know. Can you help me? And we laugh about that. Now we
- 9:25laugh about the inappropriate way I approached him now but I
- 9:29didn't know what to do my circle of friends. nothing not even
- 9:33remotely close. And he helped me he helped me with yes and no
- 9:36intuition. And I started to communicate with her
- 9:43Alan Carroll: that's certainly a a, a different pattern.
- 9:49Different you live in a world of mathematics, logic, organized
- 9:551234 kind of thing and all of a sudden this this mess The
- 10:00physical experience appears. And the immediate the immediate
- 10:05reaction that sounds like was haven't seen anything like this
- 10:08before. I need to protect myself. So you step back from
- 10:13fear. But then when your grandmother winked and smile,
- 10:16which you can remember now, she was just giving you a a
- 10:23blessing.
- 10:25Unknown: Absolutely. Goodbye. Yeah.
- 10:29Alan Carroll: It isn't, as I say it, I feel the blessing of your
- 10:33grandma, as it as it comes through you in this moment,
- 10:36because there's something about the timelessness and time and
- 10:40that event is happening right now. Yeah. What do you mean?
- 10:44Well, I feel something right now. And you're sharing your
- 10:48story about your grandmother, which wasn't there before you
- 10:51started to share your story about your grandmother? And to
- 10:54me, that is a channeling of energy that's available for you
- 11:02to, you know, bring that to other people. Absolutely. And
- 11:07it's a little challenging to explain that timeless time
- 11:14versus timeless space, where everything is already have
- 11:17everything is right now. And I would love to have you if you
- 11:21want to take a shot at explaining the timeless
- 11:26dimension versus the time dimension that the ego lives in.
- 11:30How does that sound?
- 11:32Unknown: Oh, absolutely. When I started to, I asked for proof
- 11:36moving forward, I didn't see her again right away. And I kept
- 11:40pushing her for proof. She eventually gave it to me. And I
- 11:44think some of that helped me to relax in once I relaxed, and I
- 11:48started to communicate more with other spirits. Spirit guides,
- 11:53and I started working with my main teaching guide at the time,
- 11:57this was like 18 years ago. And he taught me about linear time.
- 12:03And once I grasped the concept of linear time, it opened up so
- 12:10many doors, way beyond anything that mathematics could have ever
- 12:15even invited me into. And I think that when we understand
- 12:20our reality here on linear linear time, that part of the
- 12:24purpose why we're here is to anchor into linear time. It
- 12:29really shifts our perspective, it does a whole lot of things
- 12:32for us, it helps us to understand that yes, on the
- 12:35other side, there's not linear time, which means our higher
- 12:39self isn't watching necessarily over us every day, Tuesday,
- 12:44Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, like we're experiencing. For the
- 12:48higher self perspective, it chooses to have a life sends the
- 12:52life down and the life comes back up. And it collects all the
- 12:55information. Because everything that has happened in that life,
- 12:59everything that will happen, has already happened. It's the act
- 13:03of putting ourselves into the physical body. That is the
- 13:07anchoring into this timeline. And when that happens, it
- 13:11disconnects us from being able to see that full vision of the
- 13:16entirety, and the deeper purpose of the whole entirety of one
- 13:20lifetime. This is where spirit guides are very helpful, our
- 13:24loved ones, our ancestors, we can even say on the other side,
- 13:27it's very helpful to communicate with. This is why I'm so
- 13:31passionate helping people to open up to their intuition.
- 13:34Because we're not alone on this linear timeline, we might have
- 13:38popped ourselves into a physical body in order to be in it on
- 13:42purpose. But we have guides we have teams we have, you know,
- 13:47the essence of our higher self that knows everything that's
- 13:49going to happen as well, that we can tap into and ask for insight
- 13:54and guidance through our intuitive channels. So it was
- 13:57really important for me to learn, you know the difference
- 14:00between linear time and nonlinear time because linear
- 14:03time is this just delicious gift that we have here.
- 14:09Alan Carroll: The you are talking about the if I wanted to
- 14:15catch the thoughts, we have the present being present in the
- 14:19moment. And in mindfulness. One of the characteristics of
- 14:24mindfulness is the ability to be present without labeling
- 14:29anything but as judging anything with no concepts. There's no
- 14:34There's no I know what that is. I know what that is. I know what
- 14:37that is. And and, and I was listening to Lucy talk about the
- 14:43that he called it a a potential. It's like always is like a
- 14:49creative potential where you can do whatever you want, and you're
- 14:53not. You're not being controlled by the conditioning of your
- 14:58past. You're able to To be present by sort of, in the
- 15:01moment able to erase all all the thoughts and all the judgments,
- 15:05and just look at the empty space where everything just is. And so
- 15:10I'm interested in, in having you talk about that, too. I wanted
- 15:16you also, before I forget, I wanted you to talk about the
- 15:19Okay. Spirit guides? What's, how do I out here in the middle of
- 15:25nowhere, get a spirit guide to help me bridge the gap between
- 15:32the time dimension and the timeless metaphysical dimension?
- 15:35Where am I being? Are my are my spirit lives? So practical sips?
- 15:41So take a shot at those questions.
- 15:45Unknown: Well, for the first question, what really bubbles up
- 15:47for me is how we hold ourselves in this existence. And this is
- 15:52where opening up our intuition and becoming mindful getting
- 15:56into that centered space. That is an observational position.
- 16:01And when we are purposely being in an observational position, we
- 16:07have more control over the wheel. So my analogy for this
- 16:11would be the physical body is like a car, our spiritual body
- 16:16is the driver of the car, or at the very least just sitting in
- 16:20the car. As we grow up. We are We are told where our car goes,
- 16:27where the car should, should go, shouldn't go, how fast it should
- 16:30drive, how it should handle the road, the car is really that,
- 16:35that human existence of ourselves that this is how we
- 16:39act, this is what we do. This is all of our personal programming.
- 16:43And when you get into that observational perspective,
- 16:46through mindfulness, through tapping into your own intuitive
- 16:50source, you start to taste, you start to slide over from the
- 16:54passenger seat into the driver's seat, and you grab that wheel,
- 16:58and you're like, alright, well, I haven't driven this entire
- 17:00vehicle before, but now I am. And what happens for people at
- 17:05that point, it's First off, it's uncomfortable. You know, I'm old
- 17:09enough to barely remember learning how to drive but I
- 17:11still do. And it's it's an uncomfortable transition,
- 17:14sometimes in some ways. But once you get the hang of it, once you
- 17:18start to realize, Wow, I am creating, I am taking a left or
- 17:24a right I am deciding where I want this vehicle to go, I am
- 17:29manifesting and I am, you know, letting my path unfold the way I
- 17:35want it to unfold. Once you have that, more of that control over
- 17:39the wheel through mindfulness and observation, it becomes a
- 17:44little bit fun. I guess that's the way I want to say it, it's a
- 17:49little bit more enjoyable. It's a little bit more of, you know,
- 17:53I volunteered to do this. And now look at what's possible. And
- 17:56then the possibilities start to unfold and sign in. And what
- 18:01would this look like this would look like having more ease and
- 18:06manifesting, worrying with the mindfulness, worrying less about
- 18:10the past, worrying less about the future and being present in
- 18:13that that metaphorical vehicle. It looks like getting a lot of
- 18:17signs and starting to see the signs because before you were
- 18:20just sitting in the passenger seat and whoever was driving, it
- 18:23was just driving it and it was taught to drive on its own and
- 18:26go where it needed to go. But now you're paying attention to
- 18:29the signs, you're you're deciding where you want to go,
- 18:32and you're feeling what that feels like to actually drive
- 18:35your vehicle in this lifetime. It's very powerful. Now, people
- 18:39say, Well, if you know, the guides, and the higher self and
- 18:42such know everything that's already happened, isn't it
- 18:45already set in stone that we don't have free will, this is
- 18:48where math kind of intersects for me and I years back, after
- 18:53opening up, I dove really far into the mathematics of you know
- 18:57the universe and things like this and started to see the
- 18:59connections and how they lined up. And we really do have
- 19:02unlimited parallel. I don't know that I would want to say
- 19:08universes, but paths. And every choice we make we choose whether
- 19:12to go this path or that path. But all paths are available.
- 19:17Like all of them. There's a me that didn't get home and time to
- 19:22get online with you and miss the appointment and we rescheduled
- 19:25it you know what I mean? So all of those are all also happening
- 19:29as as well all at the same time. Those are just really hard to
- 19:32kind of conceptualize for ourselves. So the best thing we
- 19:36can do is get into that mindfulness, that center that
- 19:39you speak about, and be in that observational place where we
- 19:43have control over which paths we want to take just I hope that
- 19:47makes sense.
- 19:48Alan Carroll: Oh, um, you're talking to the choir here.
- 19:52Unknown: I know that you understand mindfulness on such a
- 19:56deep level. I was like this, this will resonate. I And then
- 20:01the other question. Oh, the
- 20:04Alan Carroll: second question was, what's the second foot?
- 20:06What's the second question over there were exercises that we can
- 20:09do. Back to the go back to the question that you're answering
- 20:13right now. Yes, the you you said observational position was an
- 20:21observational position. And, and that, to me is a, it comes up a
- 20:27lot. People say it differently. Yet, you've what you're saying
- 20:34is that you're now observing something that you weren't
- 20:39observing before. And what you were observing before was
- 20:45unconscious, you weren't even aware of observing or not
- 20:48observing, then all of a sudden, you create psychologically
- 20:53metaphysically, you create the I call it the fifth element. The
- 20:58Fifth Element is space. The earth, air fire, and water is
- 21:02the physical world. And space is the metaphysical world. Well,
- 21:07what's that? Well, meditation and yoga halls are trying to
- 21:11create some space, because because if you can create the
- 21:15space, you can then observe, observe unless there's a space.
- 21:20And most people the ego doesn't create space to create ego
- 21:22creates, I want things to fill the space. And what you're
- 21:26saying is absolutely parallel, exactly what every guru I've
- 21:33ever mentioned, I've seen or felt, says, Hey, there's a space
- 21:36of observation, where you wake up and you realize that you can
- 21:40see the thought. But you don't have to be seduced by the
- 21:44thought. And you can choose what thought you want to think. And
- 21:48thoughts, creative thoughts are manifesting. So why don't we
- 21:51create it, you're, you are a divine being, and I'm a divine
- 21:54being, and we're sharing the divine love of the Lord between
- 21:57us right now. And that's the way it is. And it's like, what I can
- 22:01do that. If you can observe it, you can do it. So I'm, I clap my
- 22:06hands. I haven't I haven't heard it even expressed as clearly,
- 22:12you have a clarity to the, to the trumpet that you play. And
- 22:16it's a very, very nice to hear how you how you, you linked the
- 22:20sounds together and you you create because it's an abstract
- 22:24conversation? Absolutely is and having that math background just
- 22:28gives you a Trump to be able to play a play a better hand. So
- 22:33going back to the second question was, well, how can I
- 22:39contact my spirit guide?
- 22:43Unknown: Spirit guides are absolutely wonderful thing,
- 22:45there was something that came up and I want to take take a moment
- 22:49to come back to it because I was really present with you. And
- 22:53then you said it. And I was like, I have to remember to
- 22:56think about this thoughts. There we go, I talked about the
- 22:59infinite number of paths that we can take at any point. That is
- 23:04the same thing as saying, there's infinite thoughts that
- 23:08we can choose to have. And I really wanted to hit that point
- 23:11for the listeners to go okay, now, I can see how I can access
- 23:17the paths, the paths are your thoughts and your choices. And
- 23:22when you when you I don't want to say control your thoughts,
- 23:25but choose them like you were speaking of, you're really
- 23:28choosing your path and then you're choosing the direction of
- 23:31what you want to manifest and bring into your life. So I just
- 23:35want to line that up. Because I was like, Wow, we got a one plus
- 23:37one is two here, says the math girl but
- 23:41Alan Carroll: as you choose, the thoughts are like bricks, and
- 23:48you choose what bricks you want to build in front of you. You
- 23:51want to build the eagle brick of me gets everything and you get
- 23:54nothing. All right, you can build that, that that temple,
- 23:58but that's a temple of pain. Or you can also build a brick in
- 24:03which you in which you practice love, compassion and joy in the
- 24:07way you speak and forgiveness and letting not holding on to
- 24:11grievances and and any spirit and experiencing that one. And
- 24:14now you've built a different reality for yourself. And this
- 24:18is a brick list reality in which there is no bricks, there is no
- 24:21walls, there is no one point of view anymore. You are you're the
- 24:25sky rather than the clouds. And to me, you talked about the you
- 24:31incarnate into the body and you start to have a one perspective
- 24:34and then when you dis incarnate that's the right word. All of a
- 24:37sudden you have a universal awareness of of at all that
- 24:42you're just you're the all with everything rather than just
- 24:45something in the space of the all you are the All who I am i
- 24:48Well, yeah, no. And so
- 24:52Unknown: yeah, you can touch that just gently during your
- 24:55lifetime as well. The way that I explained it to my students is
- 24:59there's Three bodies that you have you got the physical body,
- 25:02we know what that is, you have the spiritual body, which is
- 25:05your spirit, your soul, we know what that is. And then you have
- 25:08what's called the programming body. That is your mental mind,
- 25:12your tendencies, the the training, the it's the brain,
- 25:16it's, it's, this is how I do things. It's not the
- 25:20personality, but it is the programming in this agreed upon
- 25:23reality, my programming mind says that my name is Bo, that
- 25:27I'm five foot six, you know, like these, this is what the
- 25:31program body does. So another way to approach this
- 25:33observational point of view, when you're when you're still
- 25:37here in the in a meditation type state, is to, in some way,
- 25:42Picture those three bodies and pull back from that eye and, and
- 25:47pull into the spirit and look through spirit eyes, instead of
- 25:50programmed eyes, look through spirit eyes, instead of the
- 25:53physical eyes, and see where that brings you in your in your
- 25:58mindfulness practices.
- 26:01Alan Carroll: So there are three bodies, we're talking about the
- 26:03physical body, we're talking about the spiritual body. And
- 26:06then we got into the what came up for me was your conditioned
- 26:10body, the body that tells you this is right, this is wrong,
- 26:13this is good, this is bad. It tells you it tells you it
- 26:16describes everything, it tells you what so about everything.
- 26:19And that to me is your the thoughts inside your head, the
- 26:22voice inside your head. Yes, and when and when you can create the
- 26:28space there, air rates, the space and air if you have the
- 26:35cold, the the soil is hard and compact, and, and, and doesn't
- 26:42doesn't grow anything. But when you can aerate it, and air and
- 26:46space, it allows it to breathe and receive oxygen. And in to
- 26:51me, just off the top of my head. That's the big benefit of
- 26:54meditation. Meditation is the aeration of the thoughts that
- 26:58you think. And that just allows you to relax physically rely you
- 27:04talked about what are the characteristics? Definitely,
- 27:07when you begin to practice, space creation, or breathing or
- 27:13yoga or whatever you have these times where you become present
- 27:18in a wave of relaxation comes through you. And that to me is
- 27:23an indicator that you're going in the right direction.
- 27:26Absolutely,
- 27:27Unknown: absolutely. It's a very powerful way of being. And I
- 27:31remember working with a student who struggled and pulling back
- 27:35from that, that programming mind the the conditioning, pulling
- 27:41back from that. Because when you're in that programming mind,
- 27:45when you're in the very human state, you're being pulled and
- 27:50you're constantly going with the poll, left, right, left, right,
- 27:53left, right, and you got to pull back in order to take a breath,
- 27:55give yourself that space. And I remember we we were talking and
- 27:59my big thing is, is come up with creative ways for yourself to
- 28:03try to achieve these things that you're trying to achieve. It
- 28:07usually happens faster than following step by step. And we
- 28:11were coming up with a creative way for her to kind of get out
- 28:14of that. And she said, You know what my programming mind is a
- 28:20kid. It's a 10 year old. And I'm my spirit is me and I am the
- 28:25adults. And I'm going to love that 10 year old. And that
- 28:28perspective shift for her just was huge. And then what she was
- 28:34able to do is pull back and see what was working and what wasn't
- 28:37working for the programming mind that the, you know, the what's
- 28:43the word have you used before that was so great that the
- 28:46training, you know,
- 28:49Alan Carroll: and I said it was mentioning the condition
- 28:52Unknown: that's the word she was able to pull back from the
- 28:54conditioning see the conditioning from the
- 28:56perspective of her being the grown adult and her conditioned
- 28:59self being a younger version of her and she was able to parent
- 29:03that younger version love that younger version, but even
- 29:05better. In time we talked about this again and she was able to
- 29:10step into that younger version when she wanted to. When she was
- 29:15at an amusement park with her kids. She wanted to go on the
- 29:17roller coaster she did you know what I mean? Like she let
- 29:20herself be fully human in those times that she really wanted to
- 29:23be human. So it's when people can reach that balancing act of
- 29:27don't let go of being here. We're here for a reason. And
- 29:31please absorb all of the deep experiences that come from this
- 29:34earth base linear time. But also give yourself the ability to be
- 29:39able to kind of pull back from that and see it with more
- 29:42clarity.
- 29:44Alan Carroll: Absolutely. The image comes to mind is Sadhguru
- 29:48talked about a frying pan and he said some frying pans are made
- 29:52with Teflon and some frying pans are made with no Teflon. And so
- 29:57you you want to experience everything but don't get stuck
- 30:00With anything, allow that allow it to flow through. And what
- 30:04happens is people get something that rewards that conditioning.
- 30:08And now they want to keep it. And, and of course, you know, in
- 30:12Buddhism, they talk about everything is impermanent. So
- 30:16your your desire to hold on to stop playing is like holding on
- 30:19to a bunch of sand in your hand, and you grip it, but that just
- 30:22drips and that creates the suffering that people feel
- 30:26because if I've identified myself as something that's
- 30:28disappearing, then I don't feel very good. However, the idea of
- 30:32the of the observation is, you can see the thoughts you can see
- 30:37the emotions, but you're not the thoughts. You're not the
- 30:41emotions, you're the observer, the witness, they're the the
- 30:47empty space of nothingness, and is extremely relaxed. And out of
- 30:52that space comes compassion, calm, because you see other
- 30:55people gripping the sand and you say, Hey, you don't have to do
- 30:58that. You don't have to grip the sand. I want a group to say no,
- 31:00I need to say,
- 31:02Unknown: I need the sand. Yes, absolutely. I will say that
- 31:07before opening. Intuitively, I was far less compassionate than
- 31:13I am today. And you know, there's, there's no shame in
- 31:17that, it's, it's a wonderful thing to like, step forward in
- 31:20your life and look back and go, Wow, I've come a really long
- 31:23way. I would go back again, there's a lot of bumps that came
- 31:27with it. Because when you decide to step into this mindfulness
- 31:30space, you start to see things and become aware of things, your
- 31:34patterns, the patterns around you, who's around you, and those
- 31:38things are uncomfortable, and to anyone listening, please keep
- 31:42going, please, please keep going. Because there is light on
- 31:44the other side of that, and push through that discomfort. If you
- 31:48have the discomfort from awareness, you're already there,
- 31:51you've already got your 95% there, you just got to take that
- 31:55next step. And there was a lot of those that were uncomfortable
- 31:58in the transition of, you know, where I was to where I am today.
- 32:03But I do it over and over again, I will do it over and over
- 32:06again, I find such joy in my life. Now. I didn't know how
- 32:11much joy I didn't have, if that makes sense.
- 32:16Alan Carroll: The space of mindfulness is where the joy and
- 32:23the bliss and the relaxation and the Buddha nature, because
- 32:29Buddha is above the intellect. So you're going beyond the
- 32:32thoughts that you think. And in India, they have something
- 32:36called a mukti. And Mukti is the Enlightenment is the idea of
- 32:44there's the thoughts that you think. And then is there another
- 32:48space on the other side of the thoughts that you think and
- 32:52mindfulness for me is the journey to realize that I'm not
- 32:56I'm not the cloud, I'm the on the on the on the on the sky, at
- 33:01the like the cloud go rather than cling to the cloud, and
- 33:06into me. And of course I'm if we're going to solve any of the
- 33:11issues that are facing us in this moment. Now with all the
- 33:18stuff coming at you. It there's a constant stirring up of the
- 33:22thoughts in your watch that I was watching the news last
- 33:26night. The other night, I don't usually watch the news. I was
- 33:28visiting somebody and my watching the six o'clock news of
- 33:33the major televisions what they wanted us to see. Yeah, actually
- 33:38physically made me I was becoming a little sick,
- 33:44physically is like this is just doesn't taste good at all. Why
- 33:47are they showing me these things? I don't want to see it.
- 33:51And so mindfulness, the breathing. So this before we
- 33:58complete, let's let's go, let's go for what can I do to become
- 34:04more mindful and to contact my spirits guides? Is there a
- 34:10suggestion about a practice I can do or a place or a book,
- 34:14something open up and allow me to further go down that path?
- 34:19Unknown: Yes, I would absolutely love to share that I share this
- 34:23with anyone that I can. Because it's a it's easier than we think
- 34:29it is. And we've got a lot of pop culture telling us that
- 34:32these strong intuitives are quote, gifted and unusual and
- 34:37that other people are not as intuitive and that it cannot be
- 34:41further from the truth. Intuition is absolutely natural.
- 34:46I've taught 10s of 1000s of people across the globe and just
- 34:48watched people open up so it's not it's not a special thing now
- 34:52with the guides. In general guides are sometimes loved ones
- 34:58who have been here with you and then crossed over and watched
- 35:00over you from the other side. But guides on the other side are
- 35:03part of what I call like our soul group. And they might not
- 35:08have come down in this lifetime with you, but maybe they've been
- 35:11in other lifetimes with you. And it's their job to watch over
- 35:15your path, you make the decisions on the general feel
- 35:19for what you want to happen in your life, time you create the
- 35:22blueprint, but when you're here on Earth is when you filled all
- 35:25of the blueprint details in but your guides on the other side,
- 35:28who are not limited by linear time, they know the direction
- 35:32you're headed, and they know the best way for you to go. They're
- 35:36going to show signs and try to assist you in getting there. So
- 35:42we all have them. And we have different guides at different
- 35:45times, depending on what we're going through in our lifetime.
- 35:49Sometimes we have a guide that's with us for our entire life,
- 35:51sometimes we have a guide that's with us for just a portion of
- 35:54it. There's no set number of guides, there's no really rules
- 35:59or regulations on it. That's a very kind of limited linear
- 36:02timeline thought process, with a certain number and certain
- 36:07timing. So stay open to who who might come through put it that
- 36:12way. Now, in connecting with them. I asked people to think in
- 36:16terms of a concept, what we're looking for intuitively is in
- 36:21between the molecules, what we're looking for intuitively is
- 36:24in between the solid. And right back to what I was mentioning
- 36:29before, when you see something out of the corner of your eye,
- 36:33and you turn to look at it, you don't see it when you turn to
- 36:36look at it. And I can tell you exactly why. It's because when
- 36:40you turn to look at it, your physical eyes are searching
- 36:43physical objects around you, you are focusing on the material,
- 36:47you are focusing on the solid and you're focusing on the
- 36:50molecules. What you saw out of your peripheral, which by the
- 36:54way, is blurred, is not focused, is D focused. As a matter of
- 36:59fact, that is what's in the in between, that's actually what
- 37:03you're looking to see. So intuition, spirit guides, loved
- 37:06ones messages. It's not in the material world. So my number one
- 37:12piece of advice to people who are going to start using their
- 37:15intuition is Sit down sit between you and a blank wall.
- 37:19And you know nothing on the wall preferably, and allow your gaze
- 37:22to D focus. When your eyesight is focused on something you are
- 37:27in this material world, you are not going to get intuitive
- 37:30information. When your eyes are relaxed, you open up to the
- 37:35spaces in between the material that is source that is and
- 37:39there's a whole bunch of different words for that all
- 37:41across the globe. But in essence, that is source that is
- 37:45where everything that we're trying to connect with is
- 37:55Alan Carroll: well, let's go down that one. Okay, yes, the
- 38:01eye I do. The way I the way I play mindfulness in order to
- 38:07find that molecule, the empty space between the molecules is I
- 38:13train speakers. I train speakers. I give them one tool.
- 38:22And they've never used the tool before. But if you can practice
- 38:27the tool, you will transform your ability to speak. And
- 38:32they'll also accelerate you down that path of mindfulness. And
- 38:37the tool is to realize that this that, that you may not control
- 38:42the thoughts that you think. But you can control the thoughts
- 38:49that you speak. So I can control the timing of my speaking. So
- 38:58when I speak, I speak I speak and then there's these empty
- 39:01spaces of not speaking, called the pause. And so I take the
- 39:08thing, and I tell people that as you create that space between
- 39:13the molecules between the sound bites between the vibration of
- 39:17the sound bubble, you touch the infinite because there's nothing
- 39:23in that space. And you're no you're you're no longer a bubble
- 39:27in the ocean, you become the ocean. And all you got to do is
- 39:33practice disrupting the automatic pattern of your
- 39:38condition speaking and that will free you from the from the grip
- 39:43of the of the ego, because that's what you're speaking for.
- 39:46You're speaking for your conditioned identity. And if you
- 39:49can consciously cut the cord of that pattern. You wake up from
- 39:57the dream and instead All right. From the very beginning, I wrote
- 40:02the word dream. Your grandmother appears it's almost like a
- 40:07dream. So so let's just so what I said about the space between
- 40:15the sounds, is that the same as the space between the molecules.
- 40:19Unknown: That space is really everything that you and I have
- 40:23been connecting on in this session. It is this the space in
- 40:29between the pause, the observational view, they're all
- 40:34the same thing. Yeah, and exactly what you just you just
- 40:38worded it really eloquently when you said, I'm not gonna be able
- 40:44to, I stay so focused that then you go back to think about what
- 40:47the person said, and you can't grab the words that they used.
- 40:53Alan Carroll: My, my, my memory of, I hear what you're saying.
- 40:57Yeah. And I say, yep, that's exactly right. Unless I go in
- 41:01and stop and then say what I want to say that thought fades
- 41:05away. And so then I took I got a new thought. And so I noticed
- 41:11that the thoughts fade away, which is actually pretty cool.
- 41:15Because then you realize that the thoughts that don't fade
- 41:18away, you're feeding them and and Eckhart Tolle talked about
- 41:23the thoughts are our life support you give life support to
- 41:27your thoughts? Take life support away and those thoughts that you
- 41:31were manifesting? Yes, yes, appear. And that is available to
- 41:36everybody. Everybody can make thoughts disappear. But most
- 41:39people think the thoughts are real, and important, and gotta
- 41:44hold on to them. So
- 41:46Unknown: invite yourself to break the pattern. That's kind
- 41:50of what what I was hearing from you earlier, talking about the
- 41:53pattern in the in the stopping it and breaking away from it.
- 41:57When it comes to intuition. Yep, the pattern is an expectation of
- 42:02seeing things the same way we see here the pattern is
- 42:05searching. When we're searching for something, we have a
- 42:08lifetime of training our eyes to land on different things to find
- 42:13what we're looking for. That's the pattern to break. If you
- 42:17want to start accessing your intuition, see, feel, hear,
- 42:21taste, smell different things that are coming through from
- 42:24source from guides, from loved ones, from however it comes
- 42:27through for you, you have to break that pattern, you have to
- 42:31stop yourself, catch yourself and say, I'm too focused, I need
- 42:35to relax my gaze, I need to give myself that space. I need to
- 42:39give myself that pause.
- 42:45Alan Carroll: Yep, that's wonderful. Let's see, I 100%
- 42:50agreement with the idea of, of when you start practicing it.
- 42:57Yeah. You don't think you don't take things personally too much
- 43:01anymore. And you have more fun, as you said, you're more at
- 43:07ease. You don't need to always be defending your opinion and
- 43:13point of view. As matter of fact. Now, it's rarely, you
- 43:19know, I is it really important to assert my opinion or my point
- 43:22of view about something. And so you're more relaxed in the
- 43:26moment. And I I think well, it affects you physically. Oh,
- 43:31yeah. The thoughts that you think create the physical body.
- 43:35And so if you think anger, thoughts, it creates dis easing
- 43:40kinds of things in your body. Is that also your experience?
- 43:44Absolutely.
- 43:45Unknown: Absolutely. I have been healthier, overall, all around
- 43:51mentally, physically. All of that by following a spiritual
- 43:55path, really. And being present with myself and paying attention
- 44:00to myself. You know, I was I was raised in that stereotypical
- 44:04people pleasing type role. You know, I mean, I'm 50 I'm of that
- 44:12generation where you know, but you figure it out and it starts
- 44:16to feel good mind body and soul. And then you move toward what
- 44:21feels what feels right. And that space feels right. And it does
- 44:26it brings health.
- 44:28Alan Carroll: Yep. Yep. Physical health, emotional health and
- 44:32mental health and spiritual health. It's just a it's a it's
- 44:36a healthy lifestyle. To me. Well, thank you, boy, before we
- 44:41go, it if people want to connect and reach out and contact you,
- 44:47uh, we'll have the show notes available in the podcast also.
- 44:50Yet what are some of the ways that you can just tell us right
- 44:54now how we can reach out and connect with you? Well,
- 44:58Unknown: we do a great job at Keeping everything in one place
- 45:01for people, it's the website. It's the sage method. So th e sh
- 45:07e method.com.
- 45:10Alan Carroll: Wonderful, wonderful. Well, sage, sage,
- 45:14well, that you you develop something called the sage
- 45:18method. Yes. Okay. So give me give me the give me the couple
- 45:24of sentences and then we'll complete
- 45:26Unknown: the sage method as a seven week training course on
- 45:29opening up your intuition. It is what I did with those guides in
- 45:34the first couple of years of my own development. So if you can
- 45:38take someone like me and open me up to the level of intuition
- 45:42that I've been able to attain, the sage method course helps
- 45:46people do that for themselves as well.
- 45:49Alan Carroll: But perfect, the exactly in alignment with what
- 45:53we've been talking about, well, what can I do in order to
- 45:56strengthen those muscles? Well, this is a vehicle that you can
- 46:00ride in for seven sessions with with Bo and and expand expand
- 46:07your your intuition, which to me comes with that mindfulness,
- 46:12relaxation, melting into the nothingness all of a sudden you
- 46:16you get you get in touch with creativity and intuition and
- 46:19things that are just opening up and no longer suppressed and
- 46:22being held down. Sounds wonderfully well, Bo I obviously
- 46:27we have a wonderful conversation and talking with you is he's
- 46:31talking to a fellow traveler down down the path who has seen
- 46:37things and experience things very, very similar. And so it's
- 46:40been a fun and a joy to have the opportunity of meeting you and
- 46:44and having you sir and having you share your your sage wisdom
- 46:49with the mind for you, audience. Thank you so much for having me.
- 46:54And we'll say goodbye for now. Thank you. Thank you very much.
