- 0:01Speaker 1: Call it the Trump effect, because migrant encounters at the
- 0:04Speaker 1: southern border have now hit the lowest ever mark, down
- 0:09Speaker 1: ninety four percent from last February. Now, I'm going to
- 0:12Speaker 1: explain that to you in a minute and why this
- 0:15Speaker 1: is so important. But this also comes as there's another
- 0:18Speaker 1: big headline. The FBI director Cash Pttel has announced apprehensions
- 0:24Speaker 1: of eight Mexicans wanted for murder and drug trafficking.
- 0:29Speaker 2: The Federal Bureau.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Of Investigations director announcing that the agency took into the
- 0:34Speaker 1: United States cust the eight men from Mexico that had
- 0:38Speaker 1: actually been wanted by the FBI for murder and drug
- 0:41Speaker 1: trafficking charges. Two were former FBI ten most wanted fugitives.
- 0:47Speaker 1: The question you should be asking yourself right now is this,
- 0:50Speaker 1: why is it that Patel and Donald Trump can get
- 0:55Speaker 1: these guys but they were never handed over when Joe
- 0:59Speaker 1: Biden was President of the United States of America. I
- 1:02Speaker 1: can tell you exactly why, because they weren't asking for
- 1:05Speaker 1: them and they didn't really care.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Quote.
- 1:08Speaker 1: The FBI and our partners will scour the ends of
- 1:11Speaker 1: the earth to bring terrorists and cartel members to justice,
- 1:15Speaker 1: Patel said in a statement. The era of harming Americans
- 1:18Speaker 1: and walking free is over. This is again significant because
- 1:24Speaker 1: the eight men included a former FBI ten Most Wanted fugitive,
- 1:30Speaker 1: wanted for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder
- 1:33Speaker 1: of Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Salazar back in nineteen
- 1:40Speaker 1: eighty five. That's how long this guy has been wanted
- 1:43Speaker 1: and what did it take. It took Donald Trump getting
- 1:46Speaker 1: back into office for them to force Mexico's hand, the
- 1:51Speaker 1: FBI said this. Caro Quintero is widely regarded as one
- 1:56Speaker 1: of the Mexican godfathers of drug trafficking and helped to
- 2:00Speaker 1: form the Guadalajara Cartel in the late nineteen seventies. Allegedly,
- 2:06Speaker 1: he became one of the primary suppliers of heroin, cocaine,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and marijuana to the US and oversaw the cartel in
- 2:14Speaker 1: Costa Rica and at the US and Mexico border. The
- 2:19Speaker 1: case was investigated by the FBI San Antonio Field Office,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and Quintero will face charges now in the Eastern District
- 2:27Speaker 1: of New York. Also apprehended was alder Marian Sotello, a
- 2:32Speaker 1: man who faces charges for being a cop killer related
- 2:36Speaker 1: to the August eleven, twenty twenty two killing of law
- 2:39Speaker 1: enforcement officer a manned by the name of Deputy Ned
- 2:43Speaker 1: Bird of the Wake County, North Carolina Sheriff's Office. Mauran
- 2:48Speaker 1: Sotello was indicted on a charge of first degree murder
- 2:51Speaker 1: on August of twenty third of twenty twenty two. The
- 2:55Speaker 1: case was investigated by the FBI Charlotte Field Office, and
- 2:59Speaker 1: Sotelo will face federal weapons charges in the Middle District
- 3:03Speaker 1: of North Carolina and state murder charges in North Carolina
- 3:06Speaker 1: State Court. Then we moved to Jose Ridolfo Hernandez, also
- 3:13Speaker 1: known as El Gato. He is another former FBI Top
- 3:18Speaker 1: ten most Wanted fugitive. He has now been apprehended. He
- 3:22Speaker 1: is allegedly responsible for stalking and orchestraing the murder for
- 3:26Speaker 1: hire of a forty three year old male victim on
- 3:30Speaker 1: May the twenty second of twenty thirteen in South Lake, Texas.
- 3:34Speaker 1: According to the FBI, the individual previously held a high
- 3:39Speaker 1: level position in the BLO drug cartel and is believed
- 3:44Speaker 1: to have overseen the importation of large quantities of cocaine
- 3:49Speaker 1: into the US, as well as committing violent acts within
- 3:52Speaker 1: the Republic of Mexico and the United States of America.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Why was he doing this clearly to maintain his organization's
- 4:00Speaker 1: we're in status. He was arrested on January the seventh
- 4:03Speaker 1: of twenty twenty three in Mexico. Now, this case was
- 4:07Speaker 1: investigated by the FBI Dallas Field Office. Hernandez will face
- 4:12Speaker 1: charges in the Northern District of Texas for interstate stalking
- 4:15Speaker 1: and conspiracy to commit murder for hire. Then there's Jose
- 4:20Speaker 1: Angel Innunza, also known as s Guerto. He was a
- 4:24Speaker 1: key leader and the finance manager of the Cinelona cartel.
- 4:29Speaker 1: This according to the FBI. Now, he allegedly traffic narcotics,
- 4:33Speaker 1: controlled an arms enforcement group, and managed corrupt relationships on
- 4:39Speaker 1: the cartel's behalf. The FBI stated he was arrested last
- 4:43Speaker 1: week in Sineloa by the Mexican Army. The question you
- 4:47Speaker 1: should be asking yourself is why was he able to
- 4:49Speaker 1: walk around free for so long? And is it because
- 4:53Speaker 1: there was a man in the White House who was
- 4:55Speaker 1: clearly compromised by the name of Joe Biden. Now, this
- 4:59Speaker 1: case I just mentioned was investigated by the FBI Washington
- 5:02Speaker 1: and San Diego field offices. He will now face narco
- 5:05Speaker 1: trafficking charges out of the Northern District of Illinois.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Ridolfo Lopez is also.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Facing drug trafficking charges with up to life imprisonment out
- 5:15Speaker 1: of the District of Columbia. According the FBI, the case
- 5:19Speaker 1: was investigated by the FBI Washington Field Office.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And then there's Andrew Clark.
- 5:24Speaker 1: By the way, if you think that nothing bad happens
- 5:26Speaker 1: at the northern border, pay attention. Andrew Clark is a
- 5:30Speaker 1: Canadian citizen who understood the border there. He also resided
- 5:35Speaker 1: in Mexico and allegedly ran and participated in a trans
- 5:39Speaker 1: national drug trafficking operation that routinely shipped hundreds of kilograms
- 5:45Speaker 1: of cocaine from Colombia, then through Mexico, then through southern California,
- 5:52Speaker 1: then to Canada and other locations in the United States
- 5:56Speaker 1: through Canada.
- 5:57Speaker 2: The FBI says the.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Case was investigate get it by the FBI Los Angeles Office,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and Clark is being prosecuted for four different murders and
- 6:07Speaker 1: one attempted murder and will face charges in the Central
- 6:09Speaker 1: District of California.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Then there's Luiz Gerardo Menendez.
- 6:14Speaker 1: He's facing several federal charges, including murder, racketeering, and drug
- 6:19Speaker 1: conspiracy in the Western District of Texas. According to the FBI,
- 6:24Speaker 1: Mendes was a high ranking lieutenant and was responsible for
- 6:29Speaker 1: the March thirteenth, twenty ten murder of not one, but
- 6:33Speaker 1: two US consulate employees in Warez, Mexico, and an Alpaso
- 6:40Speaker 1: County Sheriff's Office attention officer. According to the agency, the
- 6:46Speaker 1: case was investigated by the FBIOL Passo Field Office. Mendes
- 6:50Speaker 1: was indicted in the Western District of Texas. Fuentes, by
- 6:54Speaker 1: the way, the former leader of the Warez cartel, is
- 6:57Speaker 1: facing narcotics to trafficking charges.
- 7:00Speaker 2: In the Eastern District of New York.
- 7:02Speaker 1: He's responsible for the trafficking of narcotics in the US
- 7:05Speaker 1: and also assisted in perpetrating significant violence throughout Mexico, El Paso, Texas,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and other areas in the US. The FBI says, you
- 7:16Speaker 1: look at all of this, what changed one simple thing.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Casptel became the FBI director and all of a sudden,
- 7:24Speaker 1: holding people accountable who have killed American men and women
- 7:27Speaker 1: in uniform are police officers and innocent civilians while they're
- 7:32Speaker 1: now on his list. The FBI is once again putting
- 7:36Speaker 1: America's safety first and ensuring that no criminal enterprise no
- 7:40Speaker 1: matter how powerful, can operate without consequences. The FBI said
- 7:45Speaker 1: in their statement, Let's make this clear. Justice will be
- 7:48Speaker 1: served and the error of lawlessness is over. So let's
- 7:53Speaker 1: go back to what I was saying a moment ago
- 7:55Speaker 1: about the Trump effect. It's very clear that the FBI
- 7:58Speaker 1: leadership has changed now going after the worst cartel members
- 8:02Speaker 1: and they have again been declared as terrorist organizations. So
- 8:07Speaker 1: what is happening in general at the southern border, Well,
- 8:10Speaker 1: it's very exciting news. There is a new post by
- 8:14Speaker 1: the Chief of the US Border Patrol, Michael Banks, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: he showed February apprehensions to be a record low for
- 8:22Speaker 1: the agency. Banks posts revealed the startling impact of the
- 8:25Speaker 1: Trump presidency on illegal migration to the United States in
- 8:29Speaker 1: the forty two days since he assumed office, saying this quote,
- 8:35Speaker 1: February proved our combined efforts and securing the border worked.
- 8:40Speaker 1: That is what Chief Banks posted on x saying United
- 8:43Speaker 1: States Border Patrol apprehensions at eight three hundred and twenty
- 8:48Speaker 1: six illegal aliens at the US Mexico border, making it
- 8:51Speaker 1: the lowest month in record history. That just over eighty
- 8:55Speaker 1: three hundred migrants arrested by border patrol who illegally crossed
- 8:59Speaker 1: the Mexican border into the United States fell by ninety
- 9:03Speaker 1: four percent to the one hundred and forty thousand plus
- 9:07Speaker 1: encountered just one year ago. During the same time period
- 9:11Speaker 1: of February, perhaps more shocking, the numbers dropped by eighty
- 9:16Speaker 1: two percent from December President Joe.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Biden's last full month in office.
- 9:21Speaker 1: As a transition of power took place in January, the
- 9:25Speaker 1: encounter numbers began to plummet, falling to just over twenty
- 9:29Speaker 1: nine thousand. In fact, the numbers were witnessing now were
- 9:33Speaker 1: the same type of numbers that we were seeing in
- 9:35Speaker 1: one single day at our southern border during Joe Biden's presidency.
- 9:41Speaker 1: During some months now look large scale immigration raids across
- 9:46Speaker 1: the United States of America have had a huge impact
- 9:49Speaker 1: because people are calling home and telling their family and
- 9:52Speaker 1: friends do not come. A consistent messaging from the entire
- 9:56Speaker 1: Trump administration has resulted in the reduction of legal border
- 10:00Speaker 1: crossings for the same reason people in America are saying,
- 10:03Speaker 1: it's not what it was several months ago. You do
- 10:06Speaker 1: not want to risk coming here and immediately getting sent
- 10:09Speaker 1: back home. They're also talking about the raids that are happening,
- 10:13Speaker 1: and this forced the closure of multiple non government migrant
- 10:18Speaker 1: shelters that also once received hundreds of millions of federal
- 10:22Speaker 1: tax dollars from FEMA to move release migrants further in
- 10:26Speaker 1: the United States to await asylum. Hearings that money is
- 10:30Speaker 1: drying up, the hotels are drawing up, and the aid
- 10:33Speaker 1: is drying up, so it's much harder to survive in
- 10:36Speaker 1: America as an illegal immigrant now.
- 10:38Speaker 2: It was also reported in late January.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Just days after President Trump's inauguration, the two shelters closed
- 10:46Speaker 1: in Pima County, Arizona, and then in February, a private,
- 10:50Speaker 1: non government migration center also closed in San Antonio, Texas.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It was just a few miles to the San Antonio
- 10:57Speaker 1: International Airport. The Migrant Resource Center, known as an MRC,
- 11:01Speaker 1: have been under a partnership with the city of San
- 11:04Speaker 1: Antonio and also Catholic charities. They were getting rich off
- 11:08Speaker 1: this ever since they opened it in twenty twenty two.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Now.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Among other measures that occurred during February, the Trump administration
- 11:17Speaker 1: conducted the first military flight transporting migrants to Guantanamo Bay
- 11:22Speaker 1: detention camp, clearly telling illegal immigrants they may end up
- 11:26Speaker 1: in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba is not sitting well with people
- 11:30Speaker 1: that are thinking about coming into the US.
- 11:32Speaker 2: In other words, it's a massive deterrent.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Now the camp in Cuba's currently undergoing modifications that will
- 11:39Speaker 1: allow for up to thirty thousand illegal immigrants to be
- 11:42Speaker 1: held the facility located within the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Information provided by the Border Patrol revealing a new trend
- 11:51Speaker 1: of reverse migration is contributing also the lower number of crossings.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Disappointed migrants are turning away for the United States our
- 12:00Speaker 1: commit journey to return home, and we're also starting to
- 12:03Speaker 1: see a trend of illegal immigrants in the United States
- 12:06Speaker 1: that are also willing to you guessed it, return back
- 12:10Speaker 1: to their home country.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Now.
- 12:13Speaker 1: The new trend is also being seen in Panama, where
- 12:16Speaker 1: migrants are now paying boat smugglers to ferry them by
- 12:19Speaker 1: water to avoid the Darren Gap jungle on their return
- 12:24Speaker 1: home to Colombia and Venezuela. This was a very interesting
- 12:29Speaker 1: report that came out and bright Bart Texas talked about
- 12:32Speaker 1: an eight year old child that perished last week after
- 12:35Speaker 1: a smuggler's vessel carrying mostly Venezuelan migrants south from Panama
- 12:40Speaker 1: to Colombia capsized in rough waters. Bright bart Texas also
- 12:45Speaker 1: reported on Saturday, the President Donald Trump doubled down on
- 12:48Speaker 1: his border message of strength through enforcement by deploying yet
- 12:53Speaker 1: another three thousand active.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Duty military units.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Let me say that again, three thousand more active duty
- 13:02Speaker 1: military units, including an.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Armored striker brigade.
- 13:06Speaker 1: On February the twenty first, the Texas Department of Public
- 13:10Speaker 1: Safety also report the daily migrant apprehensions rate along the
- 13:14Speaker 1: southwest border fell below two hundred for the first time,
- 13:17Speaker 1: when agents encountered one hundred and ninety nine migrants, and
- 13:21Speaker 1: by February the twenty second, that number fell to one hundred.
- 13:24Speaker 2: And eighty five.
- 13:25Speaker 1: It was also reported that border encounters in February averaged
- 13:29Speaker 1: about three hundred and twenty eight per day. That, by
- 13:33Speaker 1: the way, is a number that would be per hour
- 13:35Speaker 1: under some days during the Biden administration. Now, if that
- 13:39Speaker 1: number held through the end of the month, migrant encounters
- 13:42Speaker 1: for February could have been as low as nine thy
- 13:45Speaker 1: two hundred. The actual number reported by Chief Banks succeeded
- 13:48Speaker 1: the prediction with the arrest of eight thousand, three hundred
- 13:52Speaker 1: and twenty six migrants. Now, to put it in perspective,
- 13:57Speaker 1: This represents a record low in CBP HE reports dating
- 14:01Speaker 1: back to the last full year of the Clinton administration
- 14:04Speaker 1: in two thousand. The previous low occurred during President Trump's
- 14:08Speaker 1: third full month of his first time in office in
- 14:12Speaker 1: April of seventeen, when agents encountered eleven twenty seven migrants.
- 14:18Speaker 2: So, when the.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Biden Harris administration and the Democrats said they were quote
- 14:23Speaker 1: doing everything they could to secure the southern border, and
- 14:27Speaker 1: they said that the border is secure, they said it
- 14:30Speaker 1: over and over again, the border is secure. They were
- 14:34Speaker 1: lying to you, and they were lying to Congress. The
- 14:37Speaker 1: White House Press secretary said it, Joe Biden said it.
- 14:41Speaker 1: The man who was in charge of the Department of
- 14:43Speaker 1: Homeland Security, majorcas said it. And every time they said it,
- 14:47Speaker 1: they knew they were lying to you. They knew they
- 14:50Speaker 1: were absolutely full of it. Now, what we have learned,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and it's pretty clear, is that the President United States
- 14:58Speaker 1: of America wasn't Joe when he said that he was
- 15:02Speaker 1: going to fix the problem, and he wasn't joking when
- 15:06Speaker 1: he said he was going to use active duty military
- 15:08Speaker 1: to get the job done. We now see that more
- 15:12Speaker 1: active duty military are going to the southern border than
- 15:15Speaker 1: any other time in my lifetime. That is significant. And
- 15:21Speaker 1: the second thing that people need to be celebrating right
- 15:24Speaker 1: now is the fact that not only is the President
- 15:27Speaker 1: of the United States of America standing by his word,
- 15:31Speaker 1: but he seems to be ratcheting up on going after
- 15:34Speaker 1: hardcore illegal immigrants and cartel members, whether they're outside the
- 15:40Speaker 1: country or inside the country. Now you may ask yourself
- 15:43Speaker 1: this question, why were these people arrested in Mexico. It's
- 15:48Speaker 1: one reason, power and strength from a president that said
- 15:53Speaker 1: to Mexico, you're not going to get away with what.
- 15:56Speaker 2: You were doing under Joe Biden.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Mexico now how clearly understands that they're going to have
- 16:03Speaker 1: to start helping Donald Trump secure the southern border, and
- 16:06Speaker 1: that includes handing over people to our government that killed
- 16:10Speaker 1: our men and women.
- 16:11Speaker 2: In uniform and American citizens.
- 16:15Speaker 1: All right, I want to get real quick to some
- 16:17Speaker 1: breaking news for many of you. In a major move,
- 16:21Speaker 1: President Trump has halted We've now being told all weapons
- 16:25Speaker 1: sales to Ukraine. We also are being told that Donald
- 16:29Speaker 1: Trump is considering freezing weapons shipments from the US stockpiles.
- 16:33Speaker 1: This coming from a Wall Street Journal exclusive. Let me
- 16:38Speaker 1: give you some more of the background. The Trump administration,
- 16:41Speaker 1: they have confirmed, has halted new weapon sales to Ukraine,
- 16:45Speaker 1: and they are contemplating freezing all shipments from US stockpiles,
- 16:51Speaker 1: actions that could significantly impair Ukraine's defense against Russian forces.
- 16:58Speaker 1: This decision follows contentious Oval Office meeting between Trump and Zelenski,
- 17:03Speaker 1: during which Trump criticized Olenski's assertion that the wars end
- 17:07Speaker 1: might be distant and suggests that the US military aid
- 17:11Speaker 1: could be suspended if Ukraine does not actively pursue peace
- 17:16Speaker 1: negotiations with the US now. The suspension includes halting new
- 17:21Speaker 1: deals through the US foreign military financing system, which is
- 17:26Speaker 1: vital for maintaining Ukraine's military capabilities. Analysts are warning that
- 17:32Speaker 1: without US support, Ukraine's ability to resist Russian aggression could
- 17:37Speaker 1: be severely compromised. European allies and Ukraine's defense industry may
- 17:44Speaker 1: partially be able to compensate, we're also hearing at this hour,
- 17:48Speaker 1: but the loss of advanced US weaponry presents a significant challenge.
- 17:53Speaker 1: European leaders have expressed concern over this shift in US
- 17:57Speaker 1: foreign policy. The French president has proposed a temporary truce
- 18:03Speaker 1: to facilitate the negotiations with Europe showing willingness to support
- 18:07Speaker 1: peacekeeping efforts, although Trump remains resistance to any US government involvement.
- 18:14Speaker 1: European officials are advocating for a truce and calling for
- 18:19Speaker 1: US European unity, while Trump has signaled that Zelensky must
- 18:22Speaker 1: agree to a cease fire on US terms or face
- 18:26Speaker 1: potential consequences. Now, the Trump administration and these recent actions
- 18:31Speaker 1: indicate a significant shift in the US foreign policy regarding
- 18:37Speaker 1: the Russia Ukraine conflict, especially after the way that Zolensky
- 18:41Speaker 1: acted in the Oval office, making it very clear he
- 18:45Speaker 1: is profiting off war and has no intentions of stopping
- 18:48Speaker 1: this war or negotiating.
- 18:50Speaker 2: For peace now.
- 18:52Speaker 1: This move also puts Zelensky in an awkward situation with
- 18:56Speaker 1: the Ukrainian citizens. There has not been election there since
- 19:00Speaker 1: the war broke out. Many believe that he is a dictator,
- 19:04Speaker 1: a de facto leader of the country, because no one
- 19:07Speaker 1: really knows who supports him. And if you're a citizen
- 19:11Speaker 1: in Ukraine and you see that the number one thing
- 19:14Speaker 1: that is keeping you somewhat safe, which is US military armory,
- 19:20Speaker 1: and you're going to lose that, then the people in
- 19:24Speaker 1: Ukraine may turn against Zolensky.
- 19:27Speaker 2: One of the most shocking.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Things that Zelensky has also said is that quote, the
- 19:31Speaker 1: US will have to send their sons and daughters, and
- 19:35Speaker 1: they will have to fight, and they will be dying.
- 19:38Speaker 1: This explains much of Zelensky's ridiculous conduct. He thinks he
- 19:42Speaker 1: has leverage over the United States taxpayer and over Donald
- 19:46Speaker 1: Trump due to our treaty commitments.
- 19:49Speaker 2: He is obviously very wrong.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Based on the actions of Donald Trump in the last
- 19:54Speaker 1: forty eight hours, we also know that Zelensky has shut
- 19:57Speaker 1: down calls for the immediate cease fire in the war
- 20:01Speaker 1: with Russia. He is being defiant today as Ukraine shot
- 20:06Speaker 1: down as a nation the prospect of even agreeing to
- 20:10Speaker 1: a ceasefire with Russia, despite his country being on the
- 20:14Speaker 1: back foot after three years of war with a much
- 20:16Speaker 1: larger adversary, apparently bolstered by fawning displays of support from
- 20:22Speaker 1: European leaders in London. On Sunday, Zelensky express intend to
- 20:27Speaker 1: quote continue the war until he is satisfied with these
- 20:30Speaker 1: security guarantees on offer from Western Powers, saying quote, if
- 20:36Speaker 1: you don't have an end to the war and you
- 20:39Speaker 1: don't have security guarantees, no one is able to control
- 20:43Speaker 1: a ceasefires, Zolensky said to The Financial Times. The Ukrainian
- 20:47Speaker 1: leader argued that Russia's history of launching invasions after agreeing
- 20:51Speaker 1: to previous ceasefires has convinced him that a meaningful deterrent
- 20:57Speaker 1: would need to be in place before Kiev stands down
- 21:00Speaker 1: its forces. To be clear, that is not what Donald
- 21:03Speaker 1: Trump actually asked him to do. No one in the
- 21:06Speaker 1: US government asked him to stand down his forces, So
- 21:09Speaker 1: he's clearly changing the narrative, trying to imply that we
- 21:12Speaker 1: said stop fighting and protecting yourself.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Quote.
- 21:17Speaker 1: For US security guarantees are confidence that the same things
- 21:21Speaker 1: won't happen after this hot stage is over.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Now.
- 21:25Speaker 1: President Trump has argued that previous agreements were broken under
- 21:29Speaker 1: weak presidents like Joe Biden Barack Obama, and then a
- 21:33Speaker 1: ceasefire would merely be the first step towards a broader,
- 21:37Speaker 1: concrete deal between the two nations. Zelensky said that he
- 21:41Speaker 1: was made aware of plans floated by President Macrone for
- 21:46Speaker 1: a month long truce of fighting in the air see
- 21:49Speaker 1: and attacks on energy infrastructure, but reportedly refused to comment
- 21:54Speaker 1: whether he would be amendable to this proposal now. During
- 21:58Speaker 1: the summit in London on Sunday, the British Prime Minister
- 22:02Speaker 1: Starmer and President Macrone said that they would seek to
- 22:05Speaker 1: forge a quote framework peace agreement with Zelenski and present
- 22:10Speaker 1: it to Washington after the talks broke down between Trump
- 22:14Speaker 1: and the Ukrainian leader in the Oval Office on Friday.
- 22:17Speaker 1: While the London summit brought over a dozen leaders together
- 22:21Speaker 1: to discuss Europe's role, they concluded yet again with no
- 22:25Speaker 1: other nation signing unto plans from the British and French
- 22:30Speaker 1: for a pan European peacekeeping force, another failure by Europe,
- 22:37Speaker 1: and while the Prime Minister Starmer said that he.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Was willing to commit British troops and.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Planes on the ground in Ukraine, he said that such
- 22:44Speaker 1: a force would need the backing of the United States.
- 22:48Speaker 1: In other words, we're not getting into this war without
- 22:50Speaker 1: America being involved, and there's no indication that Washington or
- 22:55Speaker 1: the President or the Pentagon is wanting to actually send
- 22:59Speaker 1: US troops to Ukraine. In fact, most Americans now say
- 23:03Speaker 1: they do not support this war and they want a
- 23:06Speaker 1: peace deal as soon as possible. They also do not
- 23:09Speaker 1: want their tax dollars going there either. Now, despite having
- 23:13Speaker 1: left Washington early over the weekend without having signed the
- 23:17Speaker 1: simple Mineral Investment agreement for which he traveled to the
- 23:21Speaker 1: United States of America for. Zelensky said that his government
- 23:24Speaker 1: was prepared to sign the deal and said we can
- 23:28Speaker 1: get it done. It is unclear if the offer, by
- 23:31Speaker 1: the way, from the Trump White House still stands after
- 23:34Speaker 1: what happened on Friday. We also know that the US
- 23:37Speaker 1: Treasury Secretary told CBS on Sunday that the deal was
- 23:41Speaker 1: intended as a stepping stone towards a peace agreement and
- 23:46Speaker 1: that it would be pointless to sign if Selensky wants
- 23:49Speaker 1: the fighting to continue, as President Trump said he wants
- 23:53Speaker 1: a peace deal now.
- 23:55Speaker 2: It also remains to be seen how.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Stable Zelensky's position in Kiev will be on his return
- 24:01Speaker 1: after the disastrous meeting with President Trump, which resulted in
- 24:05Speaker 1: heavy criticism both at home and abroad for his oval
- 24:08Speaker 1: office antics. Multiple European leaders and politicians urged Zelensky to
- 24:13Speaker 1: mend tize with the US president as soon as possible,
- 24:17Speaker 1: but he has maintained that he will not apologize to
- 24:20Speaker 1: President Trump no matter what now. Zelensky has been blasted
- 24:25Speaker 1: by Ukrainian lawmakers for the first time publicly for arguing
- 24:30Speaker 1: with President Trump, because even they understand just how important
- 24:35Speaker 1: the relationship is.
- 24:36Speaker 2: A prominent Ukrainian lawmaker declared.
- 24:39Speaker 1: It was absolute idiocy for President Zelensky to openly argue
- 24:43Speaker 1: with the US President Trump in front of the world
- 24:45Speaker 1: during their Oval Office meeting on Friday. The Member of
- 24:49Speaker 1: the Parliament in Kiev lamented that Ukrainian's relationship with President
- 24:53Speaker 1: Trump came to an end on Friday after a heated
- 24:57Speaker 1: White House meeting, and he accused Zolensky of not understanding
- 25:01Speaker 1: what leadership actually looks like. He went on to write
- 25:05Speaker 1: on Facebook, absolute idiocy to start arguing all caps with
- 25:10Speaker 1: the President of the United States in front of the cameras,
- 25:14Speaker 1: adding that it can be done and probably should be done,
- 25:17Speaker 1: but not in front of the cameras.
- 25:21Speaker 2: The Ukrainian MP, who sits with the European.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Solidarity Block of the former Ukrainian President Pershenko in Parliament,
- 25:28Speaker 1: went on to warn that Zelensky's behavior on Friday could
- 25:32Speaker 1: have very bad consequences for Ukraine.
- 25:35Speaker 2: He said that.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Such consequences could include a potential shutdown of elon musk
- 25:40Speaker 1: Starlink internet access to the Ukrainian armed forces, to even
- 25:44Speaker 1: an end of Washington sharing intelligence with Keith, both of
- 25:48Speaker 1: which have been critical for Ukraine and its war with Russia,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and the Ukrainian lawmaker added quote, Zelensky has put millions
- 25:56Speaker 1: of people at risk and its madness. He also appeared
- 26:01Speaker 1: to agree with President Trump's conclusion that Zelensky was not prepared
- 26:05Speaker 1: for peace, writing quote, this time, it's not only Putin's choice.
- 26:09Speaker 2: He wants a war. It's totally obvious.
- 26:12Speaker 1: But on February the twenty eighth, this choice, the choice
- 26:14Speaker 1: of war, was also made by the Ukrainian leader Zolenski.
- 26:18Speaker 1: It's his common choice with Putin. This is the first
- 26:22Speaker 1: time we've seen major leaders in Ukraine standing up to Zelenski.
- 26:26Speaker 1: The question now will be what will happen in the
- 26:29Speaker 1: days and weeks ahead as the man who says he's
- 26:33Speaker 1: in charge of Ukraine returns. Don't forget Share this podcast
