- 0:01Speaker 1: Comrade, Kamala, we're now being told, wants to raise taxes
- 0:05Speaker 1: by a combined five trillion dollars. The corporate tax rate.
- 0:13Speaker 1: She wants to jump to twenty eight percent in capital
- 0:16Speaker 1: gains tax, more than double that of China. This is
- 0:21Speaker 1: President Harris's right dream if she is the president of
- 0:26Speaker 1: the United States of America. But what I do want
- 0:29Speaker 1: to say, and I want to make clear here, is
- 0:32Speaker 1: that Kamala Harris is now going for.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Just open socialism.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Take the money from the people, redistribute it, make everybody equal,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and even no one is successful, no one is a failure.
- 0:44Speaker 1: That is what they sell you on with communism. Now,
- 0:47Speaker 1: while all this is happening, we have other threats we're
- 0:50Speaker 1: learning about against Donald Trump. They are looking apparently for
- 0:54Speaker 1: a man that threatened to kill him at the border.
- 0:57Speaker 1: That happening as we speak, and he went to the
- 1:00Speaker 1: border to talk about Kamala Harris ahead of her speech. Now,
- 1:04Speaker 1: I want you to listen to what he had to say.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'm going to play that for you in a second,
- 1:09Speaker 1: But I also want you to hear this warning that
- 1:12Speaker 1: came as well. Their authorities are again, they say, searching
- 1:17Speaker 1: for an Arizona man connected with a threat to kill
- 1:22Speaker 1: Donald Trump.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Fox News Alert forty four minutes past the hour. That's
- 1:28Speaker 3: a live shot. We're waiting for President Donald Trump. He's
- 1:30Speaker 3: on his border trip there in Arizona. He is about
- 1:32Speaker 3: to speak sometime soon. We are told, as this news
- 1:36Speaker 3: is just breaking out of Coaches County, Arizona, the sheriff's
- 1:40Speaker 3: office there is confirming via a Facebook post that a
- 1:44Speaker 3: manhunt is underway for a man who they believe has
- 1:48Speaker 3: threatened to kill a presidential candidate. While we do note
- 1:53Speaker 3: that this is the county where Trump is right now
- 1:57Speaker 3: for his border event seen on your screen there, it
- 2:00Speaker 3: is scheduled to start shortly, you may have seen reports
- 2:04Speaker 3: via the Daily Mail that the candidate is Trump. We
- 2:07Speaker 3: have not independently confirmed that, nor have we confirmed that
- 2:12Speaker 3: this was specifically a threat for today. We don't have
- 2:16Speaker 3: that yet, but we are reaching out to the sheriff's
- 2:17Speaker 3: office right now for more details on that. Any more
- 2:22Speaker 3: information we get on this, we will bring that to you.
- 2:24Speaker 4: John, all right, So, the suspect's name is Ronald Lee Servid.
- 2:28Speaker 4: He is a white male, six feet tall, wearing glasses,
- 2:32Speaker 4: sixty six years of age. Last not address was Benson Arizona,
- 2:35Speaker 4: which is just a little more than forty miles away
- 2:38Speaker 4: from Modestuma pass or the President who's going to be
- 2:40Speaker 4: speaking in the next few minutes, Aliciacunya is on the border. Now, Alicia,
- 2:45Speaker 4: what can you tell us about this?
- 2:47Speaker 5: Ah?
- 2:47Speaker 6: Hi, John Well, I can tell you that the press
- 2:49Speaker 6: is locked in the Pen area as we await the
- 2:51Speaker 6: arrival of former President Trump. We do understand that he
- 2:54Speaker 6: is on the ground in Cochise County, the same county
- 2:57Speaker 6: as you mentioned, where the Sheriff's department has now release
- 3:00Speaker 6: this statement that they are now underway in a man
- 3:03Speaker 6: hunt for someone who was threatened to kill a presidential candidate.
- 3:06Speaker 6: We are still working to confirm that that target, in
- 3:09Speaker 6: fact was supposed to be former President Trump, and the
- 3:12Speaker 6: location was supposed to be here, and the day was
- 3:15Speaker 6: supposed to be today. We don't have any other additional information.
- 3:18Speaker 6: I do believe we have the picture of the suspect,
- 3:21Speaker 6: who we can put up right now.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Again.
- 3:23Speaker 6: I think you mentioned John. His name is Robert Ronald
- 3:26Speaker 6: Lee Servitt. He's a white male, six feet glasses, sixty
- 3:31Speaker 6: six years old. His last own address was in Benson, Arizona.
- 3:35Speaker 6: That's about our hour and twenty minute drive from the
- 3:38Speaker 6: city of Sierravice, about from where we're standing right now.
- 3:41Speaker 6: So the Sheriff of Coaches County is actually going to
- 3:44Speaker 6: be greeting the President today and is expected to be here.
- 3:47Speaker 6: So we're hoping that we can get some sort of
- 3:49Speaker 6: update from him. But yes, chilling information, a chilling update
- 3:53Speaker 6: to get as the President is headed here as we
- 3:55Speaker 6: do consider what happened earlier this summer, and also that
- 3:58Speaker 6: the president just returned earned to those outdoor rallies where
- 4:02Speaker 6: in fact he now has to have bulletproof glass in
- 4:05Speaker 6: front of his body.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Back to you, so you listen to this, and again
- 4:09Speaker 1: I tell you this because it shows that there are
- 4:12Speaker 1: people that were actually inspired by the assassination attempt on
- 4:17Speaker 1: Trump just weeks ago, to the point where now they're
- 4:20Speaker 1: having a man hunt for a man that said he
- 4:23Speaker 1: was going to take out Donald Trump. Now, Donald Trump
- 4:26Speaker 1: also went to the border and he talked about Kamway
- 4:30Speaker 1: Harris and the coop attempt against Joe Biden. Take a
- 4:34Speaker 1: listen to this. This was from the southern border.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It was taken out. It was a coup.
- 4:39Speaker 7: He got fourteen million votes and the person running now
- 4:43Speaker 7: got none. She was disgraced, she was figured out by
- 4:47Speaker 7: the Democrat voters.
- 4:49Speaker 2: She never made it to Iowa.
- 4:51Speaker 7: She was the first one out of approximately twenty two
- 4:54Speaker 7: people that were running for the Democrat nomination. She never
- 4:58Speaker 7: even made it to Iowa, beautiful place, Iowa, but she didn't.
- 5:03Speaker 7: Plenty of people did and Biden got fourteen million votes.
- 5:09Speaker 2: She got no votes, and now she's running against us.
- 5:12Speaker 7: The good news is, I think we're winning in the
- 5:14Speaker 7: polls based on what I'm seeing, and after the debate
- 5:18Speaker 7: we were winning by many points, as you know, against Biden.
- 5:21Speaker 7: They went in to see him. They said, you're losing,
- 5:23Speaker 7: You're not going to win, you can't win. We're going
- 5:25Speaker 7: to get you out. It was a coup of an
- 5:27Speaker 7: American president, and it was done with anger, and he's
- 5:32Speaker 7: more angry than anybody.
- 5:34Speaker 2: And I'm no fan of his. I think he was
- 5:37Speaker 2: perhaps the worst president.
- 5:38Speaker 7: He was the worst president, largely because of what's happened
- 5:41Speaker 7: at the border is allowed, in my opinion and in
- 5:44Speaker 7: the opinion of the gentleman behind me who know this
- 5:46Speaker 7: better than anybody, much more than twenty million people into
- 5:49Speaker 7: our country, many from prisons and jails, many from mental institutions,
- 5:56Speaker 7: insane asylums and many terrorists.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And this was when I left. This is a very famous.
- 6:02Speaker 7: Chart now because this chart probably saved my life.
- 6:05Speaker 2: But this chart is.
- 6:07Speaker 7: Showing the arrow on the bottom shows that this was
- 6:12Speaker 7: the lowest. This was the last week in office for
- 6:15Speaker 7: me because of a horrible, horrible election where I got
- 6:20Speaker 7: many millions more votes than I got the first time,
- 6:23Speaker 7: but didn't quite make it just a little bit short.
- 6:26Speaker 7: We've got to clean up our voters, we have to
- 6:27Speaker 7: clean up our elections, and we're not going to have
- 6:29Speaker 7: a country. But that's my last week. The arrow on
- 6:32Speaker 7: the bottom, you see, that's the lowest point.
- 6:34Speaker 2: As the gentlemen we're talking.
- 6:36Speaker 7: That's the lowest point in the recorded history of the border.
- 6:40Speaker 2: This was done by border patrol. This wasn't done by Trump.
- 6:43Speaker 7: This was done by Border patrol working with Ice and
- 6:46Speaker 7: law enforcement. And that's what we're gonna do again. If
- 6:53Speaker 7: you take a look interestingly at the all of the
- 6:58Speaker 7: wall that's laying on its side, that could have been
- 7:01Speaker 7: put up in a matter of weeks.
- 7:02Speaker 2: It was all set to go.
- 7:03Speaker 7: It was all cut out, and if you look at
- 7:06Speaker 7: the top of the mountain behind us, it was all shaped,
- 7:10Speaker 7: all ready to go. Could have been put up in
- 7:12Speaker 7: a few weeks. Much of it's been sold for five
- 7:15Speaker 7: cents on the dollar. It's very expensive. I worked with
- 7:18Speaker 7: Border Patrol very close, so we worked Brandon, We worked
- 7:21Speaker 7: with all.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Of Paul, all of your people, and we wanted.
- 7:25Speaker 7: To design something that worked. And we actually had mountain climbers.
- 7:29Speaker 7: We even had drug climbers. They call them drug climbers.
- 7:32Speaker 7: They can get over a wall like can it's so incredible.
- 7:35Speaker 7: With seventy five pounds of drugs on their back, they
- 7:37Speaker 7: can climb up things. And we designed this after looking
- 7:42Speaker 7: at a lot of different designs, and that's an anti
- 7:45Speaker 7: climb panel that makes it very tough for somebody to climb.
- 7:50Speaker 7: This was the one that was They wanted a little
- 7:52Speaker 7: more expensive version, but this is the one that's a
- 7:54Speaker 7: very important panel on top, and it's called anti climb.
- 7:59Speaker 2: And this was put in here.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Just to shade us because a lot of rough people
- 8:03Speaker 7: on the other side. So if you get you the media,
- 8:06Speaker 7: you want to be shaded. This gets taken off. This
- 8:09Speaker 7: is just temporary to shade us from potential hazard. We
- 8:14Speaker 7: know about hazards, but all of this wall was built
- 8:18Speaker 7: at great expense. And all it had to be erected.
- 8:21Speaker 7: We just had to be stood up on his end.
- 8:24Speaker 7: Concrete on the bottom goes down six feet. That also
- 8:28Speaker 7: went down and shielded from tunnels because we went down
- 8:31Speaker 7: about as far as it's practical for.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Them to go down.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Whatever Donald Trump was trying to do to protect the
- 8:36Speaker 1: southern border, they undid it, which is allowed for the chaos, anarchy.
- 8:41Speaker 1: And what are we talking about now, twenty million illegal
- 8:43Speaker 1: immigrants coming into this country. Those that they actually want
- 8:47Speaker 1: to give free housing too, and medical care and everything else.
- 8:50Speaker 1: This is what they do. Listen to more of what
- 8:53Speaker 1: Trump had to say about the wall.
- 8:54Speaker 7: Tunnels on the walls, we went down pretty deep. We'd
- 8:58Speaker 7: go down a lot deeper than the wall. Very tough
- 9:00Speaker 7: for them, and we stopped that and we stop people
- 9:04Speaker 7: from coming over. But when they refused to, I built
- 9:07Speaker 7: hundreds of miles of this, by the way, as far as.
- 9:09Speaker 2: The eye can see.
- 9:10Speaker 7: You look at the other direction, as far as the
- 9:13Speaker 7: eye could see, and then I'd hear people say, oh,
- 9:15Speaker 7: he didn't.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Build the wall. We built the wall.
- 9:17Speaker 7: We built much more than I was anticipated to build,
- 9:20Speaker 7: and we were going to build an extra two hundred
- 9:23Speaker 7: miles much of this as that, which is much more
- 9:25Speaker 7: than I said I was going to do, because as
- 9:27Speaker 7: we built it, they would go around the edges, so
- 9:31Speaker 7: we were going further and further out, and it worked.
- 9:34Speaker 7: We had the best numbers ever and we had him
- 9:36Speaker 7: largely because of the wall, and also because the Mexican
- 9:38Speaker 7: military helped us, which they never helped at any time.
- 9:42Speaker 7: They never helped, and we were very proud of it.
- 9:47Speaker 7: So we went from the best numbers and recorded history
- 9:50Speaker 7: to the worst numbers in recorded history or any other history.
- 9:54Speaker 7: And we have a Marxist that's running and I don't
- 9:57Speaker 7: think you can let her with. This country is not
- 9:59Speaker 7: ready for a Marxis president. She will never build the wall.
- 10:03Speaker 7: She doesn't want to build the wall. She's only saying
- 10:05Speaker 7: if she changes her mind. It's only because she wants
- 10:08Speaker 7: to get elected, because who wouldn't want to have a
- 10:11Speaker 7: strong border. You need strong borders and strong elections, and
- 10:15Speaker 7: we have neither. But we're going to have very strong borders,
- 10:18Speaker 7: or we're going to have very strong elections soon.
- 10:21Speaker 2: We are. The people is fed up.
- 10:26Speaker 7: It's common sense. The people are just fed up. And
- 10:30Speaker 7: you saw it. Everybody coming from the airport saw the
- 10:33Speaker 7: thousands and thousands of people lined up. It looked like
- 10:37Speaker 7: Lindbergh coming in from what he did at the time Broadway.
- 10:41Speaker 7: It was amazing when you see all those people for
- 10:44Speaker 7: long drive from the airport and so many thousands and
- 10:48Speaker 7: thousands of people, the people in my cars, I've never
- 10:50Speaker 7: seen anything like that.
- 10:52Speaker 2: We're in the middle of an area that's not.
- 10:54Speaker 7: Well populated and have thousands of people like that is
- 10:58Speaker 7: pretty unbelievable. I hope you got to see it, and
- 11:00Speaker 7: I hope the press writes this story fairly, because it's
- 11:03Speaker 7: a story.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Of disgrace. We had a Borders Are, Who the borders Are?
- 11:09Speaker 7: She loved the title, but she didn't want to do
- 11:11Speaker 7: the work, or she's lazy, And probably more importantly than
- 11:14Speaker 7: being lazy.
- 11:15Speaker 2: She wants to have an open border.
- 11:18Speaker 7: And you say, who would want an open border where
- 11:20Speaker 7: criminals can pour into our country? And all you have
- 11:24Speaker 7: to do is walk up there, if you have the
- 11:25Speaker 7: courage to do it, and go to that open section,
- 11:28Speaker 7: stand there for a little while, you'll be running back
- 11:30Speaker 7: here very quickly. You really have to write this fairly,
- 11:33Speaker 7: the story she people don't want to talk about the border.
- 11:36Speaker 7: You don't want to talk about the bad things that
- 11:38Speaker 7: are going on in our country.
- 11:39Speaker 2: We're going to end up not having a country. You're
- 11:42Speaker 2: not going to have any media. We don't have media.
- 11:45Speaker 2: They don't have media. They do their own media. They
- 11:47Speaker 2: don't need media. But you really should cover the story fairly.
- 11:51Speaker 7: Before I begin, I have some I think very good
- 11:55Speaker 7: words on the border and what to do and how
- 11:57Speaker 7: to solve the problem.
- 11:58Speaker 2: We had it solved. All they had to do is
- 12:00Speaker 2: leave it. Leave it, just leave it.
- 12:03Speaker 7: But before I begin, I want to address the fake
- 12:06Speaker 7: job numbers. On top of everything else fellaws. Fake jobs,
- 12:10Speaker 7: the fake job numbers that the Harris Biden administration has
- 12:14Speaker 7: been reporting for the last year. Thanks to a leaker yesterday,
- 12:20Speaker 7: meaning probably in this case, a patriot, they were forced
- 12:23Speaker 7: to release numbers. They claimed falsely that they did it
- 12:31Speaker 7: eight hundred and eighteen thousand jobs. So they said they
- 12:35Speaker 7: did almost a million jobs, eight hundred and eighteen thousand
- 12:39Speaker 7: jobs that actually didn't exist.
- 12:42Speaker 2: They were phantom jobs they call phantom jobs.
- 12:45Speaker 7: The reason they did that is because I was even
- 12:47Speaker 7: a little surprised their job numbers look better, Because I
- 12:49Speaker 7: know the economy is lousy. Everyone here knows it. It's lousy.
- 12:53Speaker 2: These people behind me know it's lousy.
- 12:56Speaker 7: We have the worst inflation, I believe in the history
- 12:59Speaker 7: of our country, and that's absolutely killing people.
- 13:03Speaker 2: But it's eight hundred and eighteen thousand.
- 13:06Speaker 7: Jobs, almost a million, And these are just the jobs
- 13:08Speaker 7: we found out about. There are there's a lot of
- 13:11Speaker 7: other false things that now are being looked at. That
- 13:13Speaker 7: number will increase. So they reported false numbers and this
- 13:19Speaker 7: isn't a revision.
- 13:20Speaker 2: There's never been anything like this.
- 13:22Speaker 7: This is a fraud put out by Harris and by Biden,
- 13:28Speaker 7: and they were going to release the real numbers. It's
- 13:31Speaker 7: called a revision after the election, but it got found
- 13:35Speaker 7: out before the election, and I hope you're going to.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Write about it.
- 13:39Speaker 7: But it's a big story, and it's a story that's
- 13:42Speaker 7: going to be going very far. People very upset about it,
- 13:45Speaker 7: including government officials, are very upset about it. Even people
- 13:50Speaker 7: that are Democrats are very because it's a pure fraud.
- 13:53Speaker 7: You know, when you have a revision, you have a
- 13:55Speaker 7: few jobs one way or the other, and they get
- 13:56Speaker 7: it straight at the end of the month. But this
- 13:58Speaker 7: one was sheltered for a long time and they wanted
- 14:02Speaker 7: to release it after November fifth.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I wonder why you.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Know you talk about this story and it is a
- 14:08Speaker 1: huge story. Donald Trump put it out there, said, massive scandal.
- 14:11Speaker 1: The Harris Biden administration has been caught fraudulently manipulating job
- 14:16Speaker 1: statistics to hide the tricks to the economic ruin that
- 14:19Speaker 1: they have inflicted upon America. New data from the Bureau
- 14:23Speaker 1: of Labor Statistics shows that the administration padded the numbers
- 14:26Speaker 1: with an extra eight hundred and eighteen thousand jobs that
- 14:30Speaker 1: do not exist and never did. The real numbers are
- 14:34Speaker 1: much worse than that. And if Comrade Kamala gets another
- 14:40Speaker 1: four years, millions more jobs will vanish overnight, and inflation
- 14:45Speaker 1: will completely destroy our country. Your life savings will be
- 14:48Speaker 1: wiped out. With the Trump victory, we will once again
- 14:51Speaker 1: have the greatest economy in history. By the way, I
- 14:55Speaker 1: think there's a lot of people that look at that
- 14:56Speaker 1: and say, you're probably right, but this is a He
- 15:00Speaker 1: just described it a massive scandal, and the cover up
- 15:04Speaker 1: from it should be headline news. They just lied to
- 15:09Speaker 1: you and just made it all up. And if it
- 15:12Speaker 1: wasn't for a leaker, if it wasn't for in essence,
- 15:16Speaker 1: a whistleblower who came through and was like, hey, this
- 15:20Speaker 1: is a lie. Okay, Like this isn't true. We wouldn't
- 15:25Speaker 1: have known this till after election day because this is
- 15:28Speaker 1: all about a coronation of Kamwa Harris accepting the nomination
- 15:34Speaker 1: without ever having anyone cast a vote for her, zero
- 15:37Speaker 1: primary votes, thirty two days without a press conference. Again,
- 15:42Speaker 1: this is who she is. This is the campaign that
- 15:46Speaker 1: they are running. They lie to you about him being
- 15:49Speaker 1: a coach from his assistant coach. They lied to you
- 15:51Speaker 1: about his service. He lied to you about his service.
- 15:53Speaker 1: He lied to you about seeing combat referring to Wallas.
- 15:56Speaker 1: She lies to you about the economy. She lies to
- 15:57Speaker 1: you about the numbers of people that have jobs. All
- 16:01Speaker 1: of this is just a flat out lie, and they're
- 16:05Speaker 1: hoping that we're too stupid, that we are too dumb
- 16:11Speaker 1: to figure out that the economy is actually bad. They're
- 16:16Speaker 1: hoping that we'll never understand that, which is totally and
- 16:21Speaker 1: utterly insane. I will say this because I do think
- 16:25Speaker 1: this is what it comes down to and what we're
- 16:27Speaker 1: going to learn this election is one simple thing. Because
- 16:30Speaker 1: we gave up education, and we gave it up to
- 16:32Speaker 1: those on the left, because we gave it up to
- 16:35Speaker 1: the radicals, on the left and we handed over our
- 16:37Speaker 1: kids and the public schools to them. The question is
- 16:41Speaker 1: going to end up being this, were they able to
- 16:43Speaker 1: turn this country into a communist country because they have
- 16:46Speaker 1: kids that are so dumb that came through the system,
- 16:49Speaker 1: that don't know how to read, don't know how to
- 16:50Speaker 1: do writing, don't know how to do arithmetic, don't understand
- 16:52Speaker 1: any of this. That's the big question, Okay. That for
- 16:58Speaker 1: me is to tell all have we lost this country?
- 17:01Speaker 1: Because in one generation you can change a country, and
- 17:05Speaker 1: Democrats have been playing the long game. We're going to
- 17:09Speaker 1: find that out, and it's scary, but we're going to
- 17:12Speaker 1: find it out. On election day, Kamala Harris making her
- 17:17Speaker 1: speech to America, but others around are also making their
- 17:20Speaker 1: speech to you about why you need to elect them
- 17:22Speaker 1: as a party. Senator Elizabeth Warren going full Socialists USSR style,
- 17:28Speaker 1: saying we need the housing for everyone, and we need
- 17:31Speaker 1: to make changes as a nation, and we're ready to
- 17:34Speaker 1: do it, meaning the government would subsidize everyone's housing, everyone
- 17:39Speaker 1: would be the same.
- 17:40Speaker 8: I think we all probably took something a little different
- 17:43Speaker 8: out of that sustained applause that you got.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I felt it was like this pent up.
- 17:50Speaker 8: I won't say frustration, because that's too negative of a word,
- 17:54Speaker 8: but pent up energy for progressives, for the progressive cause,
- 18:01Speaker 8: and it once again is underlined in this convention as
- 18:04Speaker 8: Kamala Harris is firmly holding a place in the center
- 18:09Speaker 8: of American politics.
- 18:13Speaker 2: To me, progressives have.
- 18:16Speaker 8: Done exactly what the base in Trump's Republican Party have
- 18:21Speaker 8: not done. Progressives have been patient, they have been practical,
- 18:27Speaker 8: they have been pragmatic, and they actually forgive me for
- 18:33Speaker 8: using Ronald Reagan's name here speaking of progressives, but Reagan's
- 18:39Speaker 8: attitude was if I get seventy percent, if I get
- 18:43Speaker 8: seventy five percent of what I need, I.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Don't consider that a loss.
- 18:48Speaker 8: And I've been blown away throughout Biden's administration and even
- 18:54Speaker 8: this convention.
- 18:54Speaker 2: That progressives have said, we're in it to win it.
- 18:57Speaker 8: And I felt last night was that eruption was for
- 19:02Speaker 8: you and for progressives across America that say we're here.
- 19:07Speaker 9: Yeah, because we are in it to make the changes
- 19:12Speaker 9: that America wants us to make. You know, it's so
- 19:15Speaker 9: easy for people to kind of get into this whole
- 19:17Speaker 9: centrism then progress it the reality is the things that
- 19:21Speaker 9: we are fighting for are the things that are popular
- 19:25Speaker 9: in America.
- 19:26Speaker 5: We talk about things like gun safety.
- 19:28Speaker 9: Golly, ninety percent of Americans want to see us make change.
- 19:32Speaker 9: And it's not just Democrats, Democrats, independence, Republicans.
- 19:36Speaker 5: We want to see child care.
- 19:39Speaker 9: Two out of every three Americans say, yeah, this is
- 19:42Speaker 9: crazy that we are a nation that doesn't make it
- 19:45Speaker 9: possible for parents to be able to go to work
- 19:49Speaker 9: and know that their kids have safe, affordable child care.
- 19:53Speaker 9: And you can just do this issue through issue and
- 19:56Speaker 9: the issues we're still fighting for. We have got to
- 19:59Speaker 9: make major investments in housing. We need more housing in
- 20:03Speaker 9: this country, housing for everyone.
- 20:06Speaker 5: We need to make change.
- 20:08Speaker 9: As a nation, and we are ready to do it.
- 20:11Speaker 9: We're not going to stand on the sidelines and say, oh,
- 20:14Speaker 9: should have done it this way, could have done it
- 20:16Speaker 9: that way. We're going to say we're willing to get
- 20:18Speaker 9: in the fight. We're willing to take how hard it
- 20:22Speaker 9: is and the bumps and the bruises, and to just
- 20:26Speaker 9: keep pushing forward and make the changes that this nation needs.
- 20:31Speaker 5: That's what we're going to do.
- 20:33Speaker 1: That's what we're going to do. We need housing for
- 20:37Speaker 1: everyone who need to make changes as a nation. What
- 20:40Speaker 1: is the change it is going to socialism, to a
- 20:43Speaker 1: USSR style government, and they're openly now talking about it.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Kamala Harris advocating for this as well. Elizabeth Warren was
- 20:54Speaker 1: on CNBC this morning in a very heated interview. They
- 20:58Speaker 1: clashed over price gouging and he kept continuing at CNBC
- 21:03Speaker 1: to try to speak a little bit of like truth
- 21:06Speaker 1: right about price gouging, and she was getting beat up
- 21:11Speaker 1: pretty bad. Her response was, well, you don't ever let
- 21:15Speaker 1: me talk, which he clearly did. Lidwis Warren this morning
- 21:19Speaker 1: on CNBC trying to defend these communist ideas.
- 21:23Speaker 10: Take a look look at the Washington Post, and if
- 21:25Speaker 10: you lose the Washington Post as a Democrat, you've got
- 21:27Speaker 10: some serious problems. This is what they said about about
- 21:31Speaker 10: the price gouging letter or the price control legislation. It
- 21:35Speaker 10: was really pillory from both sides of the aisle. Even
- 21:40Speaker 10: Jason Furman, I don't know if you saw some of
- 21:42Speaker 10: his comments. He said, it's not good policy and it
- 21:46Speaker 10: could actually do more.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Harm than good.
- 21:48Speaker 10: And I can paint you a picture of how that
- 21:51Speaker 10: would work and how it's worked in the past, where
- 21:54Speaker 10: we've tried to artificially hold prices down, competition doesn't come in.
- 21:59Speaker 10: People don't like beef is too high. People don't move
- 22:02Speaker 10: the chicken. The competitors don't come in to undercut where
- 22:05Speaker 10: the beef prices are. Nothing works when you try to
- 22:08Speaker 10: artificially control prices. It's just a supply and demand issue.
- 22:13Speaker 2: It's a flawed idea.
- 22:14Speaker 5: So did you have a question here?
- 22:17Speaker 10: Yes, why would you propose a flawed idea when the
- 22:19Speaker 10: real problem? So, if you really want to hold the
- 22:22Speaker 10: middle class, if you really sincerely want to help people
- 22:25Speaker 10: having trouble at the grocery store, it's not price gouging.
- 22:28Speaker 10: That's the issue.
- 22:29Speaker 2: And if you look at it.
- 22:30Speaker 10: Seriously and really want to help them, then let's do
- 22:33Speaker 10: something about it together.
- 22:34Speaker 9: Fine, I understand if you want to do a lecture
- 22:38Speaker 9: about this, but let's just start with where have you
- 22:40Speaker 9: been for the last thirty years? As three dozen states
- 22:46Speaker 9: have price gouging laws and they have used them effectively.
- 22:50Speaker 9: States like Texas and Florida they've used price gouging laws.
- 22:55Speaker 9: Price gouging laws are not price control. Price gouging law
- 23:00Speaker 9: are to say, you know, sometimes markets go off the rails,
- 23:05Speaker 9: and when they do, we need some ways to get
- 23:09Speaker 9: them back on the rails. We need some curbs on
- 23:12Speaker 9: that behavior. So, for example, we watched in the pandemic
- 23:16Speaker 9: how prices went up for a whole lot of reasons.
- 23:19Speaker 9: They went out partly because we had supply chain kinks.
- 23:23Speaker 9: We had problems because of the war in Ukraine that
- 23:27Speaker 9: cut supplies of certain commodities. And one of the things
- 23:31Speaker 9: that happened as a result of that is there were
- 23:34Speaker 9: corporations that said, WHOA, now that we have inflation, now
- 23:40Speaker 9: that prices are up overall, this is a great opportunity
- 23:44Speaker 9: for us to raise prices, not just in passing along costs.
- 23:48Speaker 5: But to go way way way above that.
- 23:53Speaker 9: And what how do we know that it was way
- 23:56Speaker 9: way above just passing along costs. Look what happened to
- 24:01Speaker 9: their profit margins. If they just been passing a long cost,
- 24:04Speaker 9: profit margins would have stayed about the same. But for
- 24:08Speaker 9: some industries, some companies, profit margins shot up.
- 24:13Speaker 5: And you know where they shot up.
- 24:14Speaker 9: Most often it was in companies or in industries where
- 24:19Speaker 9: there was a lot of concentration, a lot of market power,
- 24:23Speaker 9: places where the market is not functioning competitively. So you
- 24:27Speaker 9: end up with someone you remember we all talked about
- 24:29Speaker 9: egg prices. You end up with something like this giant
- 24:33Speaker 9: egg producer cal Maine and Coalmine raises the price of eggs,
- 24:40Speaker 9: their profit margins increase by seven hundred and eighteen percent.
- 24:47Speaker 9: That's not just passing a long cost and that is
- 24:50Speaker 9: a time in industry.
- 24:53Speaker 10: In your example, can.
- 24:57Speaker 5: I finished you finished first?
- 25:00Speaker 9: In any think the individually around six country that already
- 25:04Speaker 9: have price gouging?
- 25:05Speaker 10: Can I tell you why that? Those are fallacious and
- 25:08Speaker 10: misleading at best? And the craft your craft analogy is
- 25:11Speaker 10: even why can't I tell you?
- 25:12Speaker 2: Please?
- 25:13Speaker 10: Let me tell you craft? You say was four hundred
- 25:15Speaker 10: and profit increase? The example you used the prior quarter
- 25:20Speaker 10: from the year before, they had a charge of.
- 25:23Speaker 2: One point three.
- 25:24Speaker 10: Billion dollars, an accounting change which wiped out profits.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Then they earned what they normally could.
- 25:30Speaker 10: They finished now they fought, they earned and.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Let me finish. Look at the data.
- 25:36Speaker 9: Come on, we have economic study now after economic studies
- 25:40Speaker 9: show when there.
- 25:42Speaker 10: Is more forty million eggstration.
- 25:48Speaker 9: In an industry, we have seen much greater increases.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Can you attribute the inflation?
- 25:55Speaker 5: That's what you think we need to do to random?
- 25:58Speaker 9: They are not random one off. It is part of
- 26:01Speaker 9: the problem when you've got companies that are gouging consumers
- 26:06Speaker 9: on prices. Consumers need to know they've got somebody on
- 26:10Speaker 9: their we're trying to help, we're trying to actually do six.
- 26:16Speaker 9: Where are you in the thirty six thirty seven states
- 26:19Speaker 9: that currently have Pricelogically, we're.
- 26:24Speaker 11: Never going to work.
- 26:26Speaker 2: This is the way.
- 26:26Speaker 10: You never lose an argument because no one can ever
- 26:29Speaker 10: say anything back to you.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Laws I mean, c NBC, you could just tell they'd
- 26:35Speaker 1: had it with her because she's just straight up lying
- 26:38Speaker 1: and not answering the question. You never lose an argument
- 26:42Speaker 1: because no one can ever say anything back to you.
- 26:45Speaker 1: And and that's absolutely right. Like if you're asked a
- 26:47Speaker 1: tough question, just don't you know, just keep filibustering, just
- 26:52Speaker 1: keep lying, just just just keep saying this stuff over
- 26:56Speaker 1: and over and over again. Now you could hear the
- 26:59Speaker 1: main the main house was very frustrated. The main host
- 27:04Speaker 1: was angry. The main host was like, this is how
- 27:07Speaker 1: you went arguments. You don't let anybody else speak, You
- 27:09Speaker 1: don't you don't actually have to explain anything when you're challenged.
- 27:12Speaker 1: You don't answer the question. And they brought in then
- 27:15Speaker 1: one of the other hosts on squat Box, so like, okay,
- 27:17Speaker 1: let's see if you can get anywhere with her. It
- 27:20Speaker 1: didn't go much better. Keep listening.
- 27:23Speaker 11: Take a They look at us when a state of
- 27:25Speaker 11: emergency is declared, and they, for the most part say,
- 27:27Speaker 11: if your prices go up ten or fifteen percent compared
- 27:30Speaker 11: to before that state of emergency, you have to pay
- 27:32Speaker 11: a fine.
- 27:33Speaker 5: So on a national.
- 27:34Speaker 11: Level, how exactly would this work? Would you define the
- 27:37Speaker 11: state of emergency? Does it have to be declared on
- 27:39Speaker 11: a national level? Are you then talking about a ten
- 27:41Speaker 11: or fifteen percent increase in prices versus prior to that
- 27:44Speaker 11: declaration and then companies have to pay a fine. Okay, fine,
- 27:47Speaker 11: maybe that applies in one percent of the situations. But
- 27:50Speaker 11: this legislation, which is still vague, as making it sound
- 27:53Speaker 11: like something on the scale of broad price controls would
- 27:56Speaker 11: be imposed broadly speaking, So which of the two systems?
- 28:00Speaker 9: So it is not price controls. This is about when
- 28:04Speaker 9: the market itself is not functioning. Sometimes markets don't function
- 28:09Speaker 9: because there's been a localized emergency, a hurricane, a wildfire, flooding,
- 28:16Speaker 9: and so in states that have these price gouging laws,
- 28:21Speaker 9: they can come in and say, look, you can do
- 28:23Speaker 9: some price increases, but if you're going above a certain level,
- 28:27Speaker 9: you have to be able to justify it you have.
- 28:30Speaker 9: What you're doing is past the long cause.
- 28:32Speaker 10: Would it becompany, Senator, let's get let's go back to
- 28:36Speaker 10: Cowmane because avian flu caused the destruction of forty million eggs.
- 28:41Speaker 10: They have twenty percent market share. They have twenty percent,
- 28:44Speaker 10: but they don't control the market. It's like ope, or
- 28:47Speaker 10: it's like oil. When oil prices go up for whatever reason, or.
- 28:51Speaker 2: They go down.
- 28:52Speaker 10: When they go down, the price is set for oil.
- 28:55Speaker 10: The reason that Cowmane made that money was because that's
- 28:59Speaker 10: what under the price. The next quarter they went down
- 29:02Speaker 10: in half. They lost fifty percent of the profits from
- 29:05Speaker 10: the West.
- 29:06Speaker 2: They don't set that price.
- 29:08Speaker 10: That's the and neither do the Exon does not set
- 29:11Speaker 10: the price of oil. So when Exon has eighty dollars
- 29:15Speaker 10: or one hundred dollars a barrel, yes they make record profits.
- 29:18Speaker 10: When there was a pandemic, their profits went to almost zero.
- 29:22Speaker 10: Now it's just the way it is. And to think
- 29:25Speaker 10: that the government can decide when prices are too high
- 29:28Speaker 10: or too low. The grossery chains have a two percent
- 29:31Speaker 10: profit margin. How about Apple with fifty percent or forty percent?
- 29:35Speaker 10: How do you decide this is not the government's place
- 29:38Speaker 10: to do these things. It's a fool's errand and it
- 29:41Speaker 10: also is you're using it to divert the real cause
- 29:45Speaker 10: of inflation over the last four years, which was because
- 29:48Speaker 10: you had demand after the pandemic, which which obviously you
- 29:52Speaker 10: know there was a lot because we reopened and all
- 29:56Speaker 10: of a sudden, there's supply chain issues and the demand
- 29:59Speaker 10: is juiced by all the stimulus from the IRA and
- 30:02Speaker 10: all the other spending that we did.
- 30:04Speaker 9: There have been many causes for inflation. We all understand that.
- 30:08Speaker 9: That's where I started my answer in talking about this.
- 30:12Speaker 9: But one of the causes of prices going up is
- 30:16Speaker 9: that there are companies that have market dominance that have said, oh,
- 30:20Speaker 9: this is a moment when everyone give.
- 30:22Speaker 10: Me another name, name another one, give me an instance.
- 30:25Speaker 9: Please, can you give me an instant finish my argument here,
- 30:29Speaker 9: go ahead. That they have gone on earnings calls and said,
- 30:34Speaker 9: over and over, inflation has been very very good.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Go listen to the earnings calls from the.
- 30:41Speaker 9: CEO of Chapulti who says, this is an opportunity not
- 30:46Speaker 9: to pass along costs, this is an opportunity for us
- 30:50Speaker 9: to raise prices beyond passing along costs and increase our
- 30:56Speaker 9: profit margins. What the academic studies I let you finish.
- 31:01Speaker 9: What the academic studies show is that industry by industry,
- 31:06Speaker 9: when you see more competition, which suggests more pricing power,
- 31:12Speaker 9: what we saw is that profit margins went up. And
- 31:17Speaker 9: that's the problem we've got is that states have tools
- 31:21Speaker 9: to deal with this locally, but right now we want
- 31:25Speaker 9: to make sure that the FTC has the tools to
- 31:28Speaker 9: do it nationally and that the states that don't have
- 31:32Speaker 9: price gouging laws also have access to those.
- 31:35Speaker 5: Same tools we have in the same way.
- 31:38Speaker 9: In the same way that the FTC, for example, has
- 31:43Speaker 9: tools to be able to deal with deceptive pricing and
- 31:47Speaker 9: deceptive advertising, it should have the ability to deal with
- 31:53Speaker 9: price gouging. It's just another tool in the toolbox to
- 31:57Speaker 9: say wegetative more a state of emergency as the whole
- 32:03Speaker 9: companies learn how to let you finish your I know,
- 32:06Speaker 9: but now on here.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Just a lecture to me.
- 32:10Speaker 10: No, I just want to ask you.
- 32:12Speaker 9: Points is to get markets that are more competitive, and
- 32:17Speaker 9: that's the job of the FTC.
- 32:19Speaker 5: That's something state attorneys general will work on.
- 32:22Speaker 9: We just want to put one more tool in the
- 32:24Speaker 9: toolbox when CEOs are going on the phone saying Floyd,
- 32:28Speaker 9: inflation is great because it gives us a chance to
- 32:31Speaker 9: know it's.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Not about it.
- 32:33Speaker 1: By the way, I love how she assumes that every
- 32:35Speaker 1: single CEO right now is having this conversation, as she
- 32:39Speaker 1: describes it, that, oh, inflation is great. We get to
- 32:42Speaker 1: raise our prices. It doesn't matter how much you raise
- 32:44Speaker 1: your prices if your profits are down. Does she have
- 32:47Speaker 1: any idea how many businesses have gone out of business
- 32:50Speaker 1: because of inflation. How many restaurants are closing right now
- 32:54Speaker 1: because no one's eating out because of inflation. You have
- 32:58Speaker 1: record number in sales that are happening right now, that
- 33:02Speaker 1: does not mean you have record number in profits on
- 33:07Speaker 1: those sales. Kroger had a massive last quarter grocery store chain.
- 33:13Speaker 1: They also had a profit of less than two percent.
- 33:17Speaker 1: All those stores, all that overhead, all that stress, all
- 33:20Speaker 1: those employees, all of everything that you have to do
- 33:23Speaker 1: with every day, with the prices changing on your shelves
- 33:25Speaker 1: every day, what you're paying for them, and they had
- 33:27Speaker 1: a lesson two percent profit margin. But she says, well,
- 33:29Speaker 1: they had record sales, so therefore that means record profits.
- 33:32Speaker 1: No it doesn't. That is a lie. You notice the
- 33:36Speaker 1: just the total arrogance here. She doesn't care. She's obsessed
- 33:40Speaker 1: with bringing socialism to America. They believe like this is
- 33:43Speaker 1: their moment to do it. Walmart, record sales doesn't mean
- 33:47Speaker 1: record profits. Costco record sales, it doesn't mean record profits.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Make sure you share this podcast please with your family
- 33:56Speaker 1: and your friends, Share it on social media where ever
- 34:00Speaker 1: you can, and I'll see you back here tomorrow
