- 2:13Speaker 1: It's real simple for everybody that's trying to become successful
- 2:18Speaker 1: on any level, in any arena, any genre. I don't
- 2:23Speaker 1: care what it is. If you're trying to be successful,
- 2:27Speaker 1: this message is for you. Let me help you understand
- 2:30Speaker 1: something real clear. You ain't gonna make it the way
- 2:33Speaker 1: you want to, and you're not going to make it
- 2:37Speaker 1: to the heights that's fully out there and available for
- 2:40Speaker 1: you without God. And I'm just killing keep it real,
- 2:43Speaker 1: simpling clean for you today. You're not going to make
- 2:47Speaker 1: it the way you want to, and you're not going
- 2:51Speaker 1: to get to the heights that's available to you without God.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You have to get this through your head. You can
- 3:00Speaker 1: try it if you want to, because I did. I'm
- 3:02Speaker 1: here to tell you I am talking purely from experience. Here.
- 3:06Speaker 1: You can try it without God, and you can see
- 3:09Speaker 1: how far you can get when you have some measures
- 3:13Speaker 1: of success. Of course you will. Will it feel like
- 3:16Speaker 1: days like you might make it? Of course you will.
- 3:19Speaker 1: But let me ask you a question, though, What you're
- 3:21Speaker 1: gonna do about them days when you feel like you
- 3:23Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it. When you're gonna do about them
- 3:25Speaker 1: days where it feel like there are no answers to
- 3:28Speaker 1: your questions. What you're gonna do about them days? What
- 3:30Speaker 1: you're gonna do about them days when everybody laughing that
- 3:33Speaker 1: you can turn against you. What you're gonna do about
- 3:35Speaker 1: them days when you just don't see no way through it?
- 3:38Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days? I got the sunshine?
- 3:42Speaker 1: You know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends. When it's Sunday outside,
- 3:45Speaker 1: you want some friends, hit the lotto, you want to
- 3:47Speaker 1: get rid of them friends, go ask for some help. Man.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'm talking about man. They scattered like roaches when lights
- 3:52Speaker 1: come on. I'm trying to tell you. So, now here
- 3:56Speaker 1: we go again, and you can do this without God
- 3:58Speaker 1: now because I've done it, and you can have yourself
- 4:01Speaker 1: some measure success. Let me even hip you to a
- 4:03Speaker 1: little bit closer, though, Let me tell you why you
- 4:06Speaker 1: are doing it without God and having some measure of success.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Can I tell you why? Because of God's grace and
- 4:13Speaker 1: mercy to us, because of his grace and mercy trying
- 4:16Speaker 1: to keep us in spite of ourself, for the real
- 4:20Speaker 1: mission that He really got for us. See that's the
- 4:23Speaker 1: truth of the matter now now what we're talking about
- 4:25Speaker 1: nasty See. So yeah, yeah, you can do it without God,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and you can have some measure success without God. And yeah,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you know, you know, yeah you got your little degree
- 4:33Speaker 1: and everything. Yeah, you completed the program, got all that, YadA,
- 4:37Speaker 1: YadA YadA. But don't you know something. It's because of
- 4:40Speaker 1: God's grace and mercy that he helps us anyway when
- 4:43Speaker 1: even when we ain't asking for help, when he bails
- 4:46Speaker 1: us out anyway, when we don't even ask him to
- 4:48Speaker 1: be bailed out. You know why, because He loves us
- 4:50Speaker 1: that much that he would allow us to exist until
- 4:54Speaker 1: we get our mind together where he could take us away,
- 4:56Speaker 1: really trying to take us. Let's get this real straight
- 4:59Speaker 1: in today. You can do this without God if you
- 5:03Speaker 1: want to. But I am telling you to get to
- 5:06Speaker 1: where you really want to be and to be all
- 5:09Speaker 1: that God has for you. You got to have God.
- 5:12Speaker 1: There's no ifs ands buts about it. And let me
- 5:15Speaker 1: tell you this here. I don't really care what nobody
- 5:19Speaker 1: had then told you. Are you listening to me? I
- 5:22Speaker 1: don't care what they say. Don't get this thing twisted.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They got these people out here talking about they luminatis
- 5:29Speaker 1: and all this here. Man, don't listen to me. Don't
- 5:32Speaker 1: get caught in this mess. Don't get caught in no foolishness.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You were created by God. God created you, ain't your soul.
- 5:41Speaker 1: We were all created in His image, all of us.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Don't get to talk about you find to cut a
- 5:46Speaker 1: deal with the devil. In all you ain't cutting no
- 5:49Speaker 1: deal with nobody. Man. The devil don't do deals. He
- 5:52Speaker 1: one sided. I'm taking you to hell. You going to hell.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You're burning here, that's his deal. I want your soul.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I want you to lose whose hope. I want you
- 6:01Speaker 1: to take your life. I want you to take some
- 6:03Speaker 1: other people's lives. I want you to feel hopeless. I
- 6:06Speaker 1: want you to realize that there ain't no God. That's
- 6:08Speaker 1: his whole deal. His whole deal is negative. Oh he
- 6:12Speaker 1: can talk you into dealing drugs if you want to.
- 6:14Speaker 1: But let me tell you something about this. I watch
- 6:15Speaker 1: these shows all the time, drug ink and all this
- 6:18Speaker 1: here cocaine mafia. Everybody on now go to jail or
- 6:23Speaker 1: get killed. Our prisoners has filled the day with our
- 6:26Speaker 1: young boys because they thought they could outslick the system.
- 6:29Speaker 1: They thought they had a way. They thought, they said
- 6:32Speaker 1: to them, been here and they failed. For the old cliche, man,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I gotta do what I gotta do, I gotta get
- 6:36Speaker 1: this money. Well, the only reason you gotta do what
- 6:38Speaker 1: you gotta do is because, like I say all the time,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you didn't do what you were supposed to do. It
- 6:43Speaker 1: is but because of His grace and mercy that we exist.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And God has just taken care of you, looking out
- 6:49Speaker 1: for you. Got some angels encamped around you until you
- 6:52Speaker 1: get your mind right so he can get you where
- 6:55Speaker 1: you're going. But now I want you to understand something.
- 6:57Speaker 1: There's a cause and a consequence and a penalty for
- 7:00Speaker 1: everything we do. This outside the will of God. That's
- 7:03Speaker 1: for all of us. All of us have consequences, penalties
- 7:07Speaker 1: and everything that we got to deal with outside of
- 7:11Speaker 1: the will of God. Understand that, clearly, don't get this
- 7:15Speaker 1: thing twisted sideways. You understand me. You know. I heard
- 7:19Speaker 1: a young man tell me one day. He said, uh, Steve,
- 7:22Speaker 1: you know, man, I just don't see how God looking
- 7:24Speaker 1: out for me, if he would allow all these things
- 7:26Speaker 1: to happen to me. I'm having such a hard time
- 7:28Speaker 1: in my life. I really don't see how there's a
- 7:32Speaker 1: God looking out for me. I live the young man,
- 7:34Speaker 1: I said, the man, it's just something. Man, you're still breathing.
- 7:38Speaker 1: He said, yeah, I'm standing here talking to you. I said,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you're still free. He said what you mean. I said,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you ain't locked up by you said, no, I'm standing
- 7:44Speaker 1: here talking to you. I said, where you get them
- 7:46Speaker 1: clothes from? I bought him? I said where you bought
- 7:49Speaker 1: him with what I bought him with money? I said,
- 7:50Speaker 1: where you get the money from? You? So I got
- 7:52Speaker 1: a job, mister, h I got a job. I said, well,
- 7:56Speaker 1: well where you live though, he's our apartment. I said,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you get department. It's to Harve. I'm working I got
- 8:02Speaker 1: an apartment, I got a job. I was, okay, okay,
- 8:06Speaker 1: so now this this God ain't looking out for you?
- 8:08Speaker 1: Thinkin finish telling me what you're telling me. Well, see, man,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm having it real hard right now. I said, hey, hey, man,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you are you hungry? Have you had lunch yet? He
- 8:18Speaker 1: said yeah, yeah, yeah, yeall already had lunch yet. I said, oh, okay, okay,
- 8:22Speaker 1: So gone finish. Tell me about this how God ain't
- 8:25Speaker 1: looking out for you? He said, oh. And you know, man,
- 8:28Speaker 1: every every time I try to do something, it seemed
- 8:30Speaker 1: like it go wrong for me. I said, but let
- 8:32Speaker 1: the man something. Man, I say, every time I go
- 8:34Speaker 1: wrong for y'all, say, somehow you survive it. He said, yeah, yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I survive it some kind of way. But it's still
- 8:40Speaker 1: be all messed up for me. I say, but but
- 8:42Speaker 1: you still got through it though, he said yeah. I said, okay, man,
- 8:45Speaker 1: gone finish telling me how God ain't looking out for you?
- 8:48Speaker 1: And he stopped. He said him, it is Harvey. He said,
- 8:50Speaker 1: how come every time I tell you something that's going wrong,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you keep telling me God looking out for me? I said,
- 8:55Speaker 1: because you're still here, man, I said, See, you don't
- 8:58Speaker 1: understand it. I said, you seem to think that you're
- 9:00Speaker 1: supposed to just supposed to skate through life. That's all
- 9:03Speaker 1: supposed to go how you want it, any kind of way.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I said, Man, Jesus to test to your faith, I say,
- 9:08Speaker 1: God looking out for you the whole time. I say,
- 9:10Speaker 1: every time you tell me something going wrong, you seem
- 9:13Speaker 1: to turn around and tell me how you survived, and
- 9:15Speaker 1: you keep telling me what ain't going right, But you
- 9:17Speaker 1: keep telling me all these things you have. I said, man,
- 9:20Speaker 1: so what you gotta do is you gotta stop looking
- 9:22Speaker 1: at the what you ain't got column and start focusing
- 9:25Speaker 1: on what you do have column. But if you ain't
- 9:27Speaker 1: happy with nothing heating done for you, you you wanted to
- 9:29Speaker 1: keep piling stuff on. I said, you fail in the test,
- 9:32Speaker 1: young man. The test is are you grateful for where
- 9:35Speaker 1: you are right now? So I could give you more
- 9:38Speaker 1: so we can move forward. He said, oh, man, I
- 9:40Speaker 1: never even looked at like that. I said, well, why
- 9:41Speaker 1: don't you take your blessed cell phone somewhere and sit down?
- 9:44Speaker 1: He said, I think I'm going over here and let
- 9:46Speaker 1: you finish talking. I said, thank you. So sometimes you
- 9:48Speaker 1: just got to look at what you do got folks,
- 9:50Speaker 1: that's all it is. Okay, you can't make it without God, y'all.

- 16:46Speaker 1: crime while in office. Uh huh. They're trying to get him.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You know, well, what do you think a lot of
- 16:52Speaker 1: people think he deserves it? A lot, you know, But
- 16:57Speaker 1: the rest of the white man's ain't been to do that.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Oh you mean the Republicans. The Senate Republican is white
- 17:04Speaker 1: men ain't ben to vote that other white man out
- 17:06Speaker 1: of all um wants to be him. That's the whole problem.
- 17:10Speaker 1: The Democrats, they're white day, don't they don't care. The Republicans,
- 17:16Speaker 1: all of them wants to be down the Trump. Think
- 17:18Speaker 1: about it. He's rich, he really ain't. He got all
- 17:22Speaker 1: that builders got his name on. He's taking pictures and
- 17:25Speaker 1: hanging out with striples and he had a playball money
- 17:28Speaker 1: in his house. They didn't. White men just that they're
- 17:32Speaker 1: comfortable with It's nothing wrong, that's the truth. That's true Sweden.
- 17:43Speaker 1: So that's why he's he's not gonna be thrown out
- 17:47Speaker 1: of office. You think, girl the house to and already
- 17:50Speaker 1: impeach him in the city. Ain't gonna do that. They
- 17:53Speaker 1: can't you now vote not a one and ain't knowing wrong?
- 17:56Speaker 1: If you left you she disaway. That don't make no
- 18:01Speaker 1: sense anyway, yes, yeah, anyway, well, yeah, it's good to
- 18:08Speaker 1: know you're watching it. You know, Um, were you gonna
- 18:11Speaker 1: say something, Carla? I was, I'm gonna talk to her
- 18:14Speaker 1: about the queen? Were you gonna mention that good? You know?
- 18:18Speaker 1: Ain't that crazy? You know, these two kids you're leaving
- 18:21Speaker 1: the leaving the palace, Harry and Megan Terry. You don't.
- 18:28Speaker 1: And I'm I'm friends with the queen. You know. We
- 18:31Speaker 1: talk all with Elizabeth, you know, every now and then
- 18:37Speaker 1: she loans me a bag for them going to your
- 18:39Speaker 1: special revivals. Really am She ships it to me three
- 18:44Speaker 1: days delivery. Oh yeah, we've been holing for a while.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You know, I shouldn't have picture to show her how
- 18:52Speaker 1: to rock her gloves and everything. You know, she didn't
- 18:56Speaker 1: she got that from you. I got them white gloves.
- 18:59Speaker 1: She got to straight off from the ashaboat. Oh wow, yes,
- 19:04Speaker 1: give his black people's blue. You know, sister O'Dell met
- 19:12Speaker 1: on holy hand before amen to that. I was gonna
- 19:18Speaker 1: mention to you, sister Adela. Yesterday Steve told us about
- 19:22Speaker 1: Mike Bloomberg's Bloomberg speech where he promised seventy billion dollars
- 19:27Speaker 1: to uh pretty much help black people. He had a plan.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Did you hear about that? Uh? What'd you think about that?
- 19:35Speaker 1: Because I see that you're following politics. Well, last time
- 19:38Speaker 1: a white man had a plan for us where he's
- 19:40Speaker 1: on the ship. So I'll be a little real careful
- 19:46Speaker 1: when the white man sayin't you got a plan? This
- 19:48Speaker 1: is different? Be different. I just I didn't say he
- 19:55Speaker 1: was gonna do that, right, I say, you know, the
- 19:58Speaker 1: last time I heard white men talking about playing black people,
- 20:02Speaker 1: there's putting them all ships. Now she's playing well, it
- 20:10Speaker 1: involves it involves seventy I think Steve said, seventy million
- 20:15Speaker 1: dollars or billion dollars? Yeah, ships? Man? What is Will
- 20:23Speaker 1: Smith made? That? Ain't movie you're listening to show coming
- 20:31Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. Miss Anna is
- 20:33Speaker 1: standing by with today's national news and an entertainment news.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Beyonce's Ivy Park collection practically sold out, I love it,
- 20:41Speaker 1: and Joe Biden's selfie video has gone viral. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 20:45Speaker 1: We'll talk about it all at the top of the hour,
- 20:47Speaker 1: but right now it is time for the nephew to
- 20:50Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got enough weed in
- 20:55Speaker 1: the church van? You say we all ed we church
- 21:02Speaker 1: people doing another one on church peoples, ain't you? Oh? Yes,
- 21:09Speaker 1: that's so there. It's okay though, it's just all in funds.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Now you talk about weed in the church fan, Well
- 21:17Speaker 1: for the people in there, Guy Black coma what you
- 21:22Speaker 1: want them to do? Judge, let's go cat doc. Wait
- 21:28Speaker 1: in the church band. Hello, I'm trying to reach Dann brother,
- 21:35Speaker 1: brother Dann Dan. Hello. Hello on them, because I'll see
- 21:38Speaker 1: that I'm trying to read brother Dare, Brother Dann. Oh, okay, yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: this brother Scott from the Church and Belt the Baptist. Hello, bro, Yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 1: I call you. I'm trying to get a little information
- 21:52Speaker 1: about the church band. What's what's your schedule? Uh? Uh?
- 21:56Speaker 1: You drive the church man, what's what's your schedule? Uh, Wednesday,
- 22:02Speaker 1: Fridays and Sundays. Okay, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Now Sunday, what
- 22:09Speaker 1: what is that schedule? Sunday. I usually start about eight
- 22:13Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning, probably a little earlier, depending on
- 22:16Speaker 1: some of the elderly people that I had to go
- 22:18Speaker 1: pick up and bring to the church. Make sure they
- 22:21Speaker 1: get there okay, and get situated and make sure they're
- 22:25Speaker 1: on time for the service and whatnot. Okay, and then
- 22:28Speaker 1: you take them back home after service is over. Yes,
- 22:32Speaker 1: I try to get all of them back home, unless
- 22:33Speaker 1: they got family members or something that come up there
- 22:35Speaker 1: and meet them up there and want to take them
- 22:37Speaker 1: to Jenna or Sunny afterwards. But I usually get about
- 22:40Speaker 1: it back home. Okay. Okay. Now this class Sunday, which
- 22:45Speaker 1: is part of the reason why I'm calling me. They
- 22:48Speaker 1: saying that some of the church members that was on
- 22:53Speaker 1: the band this Sunday, they are complaining saying that um
- 22:59Speaker 1: that the church vand was spending like weed when they
- 23:02Speaker 1: got on there. Excuse me, they say the church van
- 23:07Speaker 1: was spending like weed when they got on there, and
- 23:10Speaker 1: you are the person that was driving them. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 23:14Speaker 1: not not the van that that I'm driving. I'm I
- 23:17Speaker 1: don't no, I don't. I ain't smoke weed and no van.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Do you smoke weed? No, I don't smoke weed. I
- 23:24Speaker 1: mean not carry I mean I have before, but I
- 23:26Speaker 1: don't smoke weed now and I wouldn't smoke weed before.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Picking some people loved to go to. Now where you
- 23:35Speaker 1: carry it from? Who told you this? Well? All I
- 23:37Speaker 1: knew is what what? What's coming down the pipeline? Is?
- 23:40Speaker 1: They saying that a couple of them nimbers came complaining
- 23:45Speaker 1: this just happened last week about this pipeline. I want
- 23:48Speaker 1: to know who the pipeline is because just last week
- 23:51Speaker 1: they came and me talking about that I was using
- 23:53Speaker 1: the van to go places that I wanted to go
- 23:55Speaker 1: to all my personal time. Now I don't do that.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I don't do stuff like that now. I have had
- 23:59Speaker 1: a half I haven't had a history, but I don't
- 24:01Speaker 1: do stuff like that, and I wouldn't smoking. No church van,
- 24:05Speaker 1: So are you seriously talking to what? What? What? What?
- 24:08Speaker 1: We're trying to We're trying to get to the bottom
- 24:10Speaker 1: of it and see what's going on with you. Sulderly person. Said,
- 24:15Speaker 1: do you know which one? Don't they loved me? Every Sunday,
- 24:19Speaker 1: didn't people tell me they loved me? Uh? They say,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I'm one of the most respectful young gentlemen they've ever
- 24:23Speaker 1: met in their life. And so I really find it
- 24:25Speaker 1: hard to believe that you you you getting these type
- 24:28Speaker 1: of complaints about me. Okay, what I'm saying, like who
- 24:31Speaker 1: we I don't know what that means or nothing like that. Look, brothers, now,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I don't know you too well, and I know you
- 24:37Speaker 1: don't know leave. But I've been driving this van as
- 24:40Speaker 1: as a point to try to change my life and
- 24:43Speaker 1: where I come from. So this was was something that
- 24:45Speaker 1: I wanted to volunteer even though I'm getting paid to
- 24:48Speaker 1: give my time to do this for the church. And
- 24:50Speaker 1: now this is like the second instance where y'all and
- 24:53Speaker 1: came at me on some stuff about like I'm trying
- 24:55Speaker 1: to do something with this van. Now, why I would
- 24:57Speaker 1: I disrespect the church van by smoking weed in it
- 25:00Speaker 1: and then letting the weeds stay in There's some other
- 25:02Speaker 1: people can smell it. Okay, So let me tell you
- 25:04Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. We're gonna go out here to
- 25:06Speaker 1: the church. They had to say We're gonna go out
- 25:08Speaker 1: here today and open it up. Now, if we see
- 25:10Speaker 1: any seeds or anything around the driver's seat, then then
- 25:16Speaker 1: then we're gonna We're gonna, definitely, uh point, gonna open
- 25:19Speaker 1: the van up. Man. I was raising that church. Man,
- 25:21Speaker 1: My mama go to that church, my grandma. See you
- 25:24Speaker 1: go to that church. See the reason we even don't
- 25:26Speaker 1: left that church. And you think I'm gonna mess up
- 25:28Speaker 1: they ain't by driving around in the band full of
- 25:31Speaker 1: elderly people smoking smell like weed. Blood Dad, I don't
- 25:36Speaker 1: know how to the bad smell like weed. Man, Now
- 25:39Speaker 1: I don't. I don't got the answers to these questions.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you that it wasn't me.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Did you have some weed in your part? I can
- 25:46Speaker 1: amitt it with your smelling. I ain't had no weed. Amy,
- 25:49Speaker 1: Stop trying to say like I had weed on me
- 25:51Speaker 1: and you ain't gonna get me nothing that I ain't no,
- 25:53Speaker 1: and we ain't had no weed on me. Okay, Now,
- 25:55Speaker 1: you ain't gonna mess up my name or my family's
- 25:57Speaker 1: name in this church and disrespect us like this. Now,
- 26:00Speaker 1: We've been helping this church for years and I'm trying
- 26:03Speaker 1: to tell you that I ain't riding around and no
- 26:05Speaker 1: fans smoking no weed with no elderly people. Did you
- 26:07Speaker 1: ask any of the elderly people if they had any
- 26:09Speaker 1: weed on them? Uh? No, we didn't. No, No, I
- 26:14Speaker 1: didn't think about it, no elderly people having no weed.
- 26:17Speaker 1: So you just assume it's me what one of them?
- 26:20Speaker 1: Guy got coma or something? What? What? What you know? What?
- 26:24Speaker 1: You know? Who? I think? What? Did you know? Who?
- 26:25Speaker 1: I think the weed belonged to? Oh? Oh, I think
- 26:29Speaker 1: I think the weed belonged to nephew Tim from the
- 26:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show. What man, damn, you just got a
- 26:42Speaker 1: PreK Oh my god, you just got a preak to
- 26:47Speaker 1: put in his name. His name is brother, Uh brother Lawrence,
- 26:52Speaker 1: Lawrence ros Lawrence. Uh Larry Larry, But it ain't law
- 27:03Speaker 1: Tell Larry, tell Larry in trouble with me? But the
- 27:08Speaker 1: van man. I got one more thing that I got
- 27:15Speaker 1: one more thing to ask you, man, what is the
- 27:17Speaker 1: saddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the land,

- 32:56Speaker 1: you know, all right, Steve, we gotta move on to
- 32:58Speaker 1: today's headlines. Leave, ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp, thank you, Okay,
- 33:05Speaker 1: at one side, all right, This is entrop of the news.
- 33:07Speaker 1: The Senate impeachment trials talking about size for President Trump
- 33:11Speaker 1: now officially underway. Both sides may their positions clear and
- 33:14Speaker 1: opening arguments Yesterday, the Democrats trying to push the GOP
- 33:18Speaker 1: controls send it into letting them call new witnesses and
- 33:20Speaker 1: emit new evidence, a lot of stuff. Lead House Manager
- 33:23Speaker 1: Adam ship presented their argument, will the president and the
- 33:26Speaker 1: American people get a fair trial? Because whether we have
- 33:30Speaker 1: a fair trial will determine whether you have a basis
- 33:34Speaker 1: to render a fair and impartial verdict. If the defense
- 33:38Speaker 1: is not allowed to introduce evidence of his innocence, it's
- 33:40Speaker 1: not a fair trial. If the House cannot call witnesses
- 33:43Speaker 1: or introduced documents and evidence, it's not a fair trial.
- 33:47Speaker 1: It's not really a trial at all. However, Republican lead
- 33:51Speaker 1: Council patsip Alone claimed the entire impeachment issue was just
- 33:54Speaker 1: a petty partisan plot. Why are we here? Are we
- 33:58Speaker 1: hearing because of a phone call? Were we here before
- 34:01Speaker 1: this great body? Because since the president was sworn into office,
- 34:05Speaker 1: there was a desire to see him removed. So after
- 34:09Speaker 1: thirteen hours of debate, some of it very very nasty,
- 34:12Speaker 1: every amendment requested by the Democrats was voted down by
- 34:15Speaker 1: the Republicans. The trial resumes this afternoon. At one point,
- 34:18Speaker 1: by the way, Justice Roberts had to admonish both sides
- 34:21Speaker 1: equally about their behavior. Inmates continue to be murdered. The
- 34:25Speaker 1: Mississippi Prisons Correction officials say they're investigating additional prisoner deaths
- 34:29Speaker 1: amid this month's outbreak of deadly violence. As hard to say.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Two more inmates were killed on Monday, and what they
- 34:35Speaker 1: say was a chronically understaffed state lock up Mississippi prisons
- 34:39Speaker 1: have been dealing with riots and gang fights. Since the
- 34:41Speaker 1: end of December. They have been at least eight deaths reported,
- 34:44Speaker 1: with an unknown number of people injured. A Mississippi, by
- 34:47Speaker 1: the way, facing a federal lawsuit now brought by two
- 34:49Speaker 1: dozen inmates who were suing over what they say are
- 34:52Speaker 1: violent and decrepit conditions. Opening arguments today being made in
- 34:56Speaker 1: the Harvey Weinstein trial. One time well, the disgrace movie
- 35:00Speaker 1: model basically is pleaded not guilty to criminal sex charges,
- 35:03Speaker 1: insisting there was no non consensual sex with anybody. The
- 35:08Speaker 1: ones powerful man now charged with sexual offenses against two women. Meanwhile,
- 35:12Speaker 1: more than eighty females have accused him of assaulting them,
- 35:15Speaker 1: and a trial also schedule on similar charges for this
- 35:17Speaker 1: guy in California. It's disgusting to think this was needed,
- 35:22Speaker 1: but a bulletproof memorial to the fourteene year old civil
- 35:24Speaker 1: rights martyr Emmettil has now replaced the old one, which
- 35:27Speaker 1: was repeatedly vandalized. A new one is a five fronted
- 35:30Speaker 1: pound reinforced steel signed with a bulletproof glass front, placed
- 35:34Speaker 1: at the spot where young Till's body was pulled from
- 35:36Speaker 1: the Tallahatchee River. The new marker be open to the public.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Oh Sad Newston World of Entertainment. Robert Parkers died YEA
- 35:45Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Mourning Show. You're listening to show.
- 35:51Speaker 1: The President's impeachment trial session began and Democrats want to
- 35:55Speaker 1: make sure that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will not
- 35:59Speaker 1: rush through it. The Democratic senators want to hear firsthand
- 36:02Speaker 1: witnesses to get all of the facts on their witness list.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, Robert Blair,
- 36:10Speaker 1: senior advisor to Mulvaney, Michael Duffy, Associate director for National
- 36:14Speaker 1: Security at the Office of Management and Budget, and former
- 36:17Speaker 1: National Security Advisor John Bolton. Remember now, it's going to
- 36:22Speaker 1: take a supermajority of sixty seven votes to convict the president.
- 36:27Speaker 1: If Trump is removed from office under the twenty fifth Amendment,
- 36:30Speaker 1: Mike Pence then would become our president. We're not gonna happen.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I want to tell you something. It will be worse.
- 36:39Speaker 1: It will be worse. People say that I don't see
- 36:44Speaker 1: because this guy don't know how you can get worse.
- 36:48Speaker 1: He feels the same way Donald Trump does, and he
- 36:52Speaker 1: knows how to go about it in a slicker way.
- 36:55Speaker 1: We're in trouble with either one of those folks. But
- 36:58Speaker 1: let me tell you what the real problem is here.
- 37:00Speaker 1: How can you have a fair trial? But Mitch McConnell
- 37:04Speaker 1: doesn't want to allow witnesses being called. That's a farce.
- 37:09Speaker 1: In no court system can you have a trial and
- 37:13Speaker 1: no one prosecutor or defense can call any witnesses that
- 37:18Speaker 1: That doesn't make any sense. Man. That's the worst, his
- 37:20Speaker 1: most hypocritical government we've ever had. And they're all doing
- 37:23Speaker 1: it because they're afraid of Donald Trump. They are afraid
- 37:27Speaker 1: of him, the parties, And that's the farce we're in
- 37:29Speaker 1: right now. Man. Yeah, there's a few there are a
- 37:35Speaker 1: few Republicans that we need to watch her. Yeah, and
- 37:40Speaker 1: that's Mitch Romney, you know, Mitt, not Mitch Mitt Romney.
- 37:46Speaker 1: He's not a big fan of Trump's Oh not at all.
- 37:50Speaker 1: How many we need to turn sixty seven votes to
- 37:55Speaker 1: convict to throw him out of office because he's already
- 37:58Speaker 1: been impeached in the House, I'm not I don't know
- 38:01Speaker 1: the number, but the majority of the Republicans would have
- 38:06Speaker 1: to turn supermajority of sixty seven vote, that's what they need. Okay,
- 38:11Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. How many votes is
- 38:13Speaker 1: in total? Does anybody know? Because I surely don't how
- 38:16Speaker 1: many votes total in them? It's a hundred in the right,
- 38:20Speaker 1: I don't know. Dun't forget two cents per states per state? Right, Wow,
- 38:32Speaker 1: you could get sixty seven if they didn't have to
- 38:34Speaker 1: raise they ain't. If they could get to write it
- 38:35Speaker 1: out and put it in a in a box. The
- 38:39Speaker 1: fact that they're gonna timmy when they lied. Man, if
- 38:47Speaker 1: they could go into booth like, we're all right coming
- 38:52Speaker 1: up in thirty four minutes after the hour, if you
- 38:54Speaker 1: could choose one and animal to be able to communicate with,
- 38:59Speaker 1: which would you choose? We'll talk about that right after this.
- 39:02Speaker 1: You're listening, all right. So yesterday our very owned Steve Harvey,
- 39:09Speaker 1: our morning show critic on the show, Jay Anthony Brown
- 39:13Speaker 1: said he absolutely loved the movie Bad Boys for Life
- 39:15Speaker 1: with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, but hated the movie
- 39:19Speaker 1: Doolittle with Robert Downey Junior. So we're gonna pose the question,
- 39:25Speaker 1: if you guys could choose which exotic animal, uh you
- 39:29Speaker 1: could communicate with, what would it be? And let's start
- 39:33Speaker 1: with you, Steve. Well, I'm going let Tommy and Junior
- 39:37Speaker 1: take a crack. Let's see where they Commedy go with you. Okay,
- 39:41Speaker 1: my stand up buddy, go here, Junior. You're trying to
- 39:44Speaker 1: be his friend. Yeah, thank you, you know my low life.
- 39:51Speaker 1: They asked, would like to communicate with earth? Yeah? I
- 40:00Speaker 1: would want to communicate with a hyena because I want
- 40:04Speaker 1: what out here in this jungle? So damn, I really
- 40:08Speaker 1: want to know why we out here laughing and lions
- 40:11Speaker 1: is killing everything. I just looked at you when you
- 40:15Speaker 1: said that, because I hardly ever think about those I've
- 40:18Speaker 1: been watching fights. They just to be able to what
- 40:24Speaker 1: we laughing at? That very good? Yeah, come on, tell
- 40:30Speaker 1: me I think I would want to talk to an octopus.
- 40:38Speaker 1: I thought you was gonna say an ass. He's getting
- 40:42Speaker 1: huggie and I don't even explain, man, do it? Oops? Yeah? Yeah,
- 40:54Speaker 1: yeah yeah. And all of them have little suction cups
- 40:58Speaker 1: on them. It's conversation. You know, how you moving around
- 41:02Speaker 1: the ocean, how you're handling things, you know what you
- 41:05Speaker 1: sucked up today, you know? Ok, yeah, stuff like that.

- 43:28Speaker 1: every day. In order to laugh hard every day, because
- 43:31Speaker 1: you're not gonna hear a joke or something funny every day.
- 43:34Speaker 1: You're gonna have to learn how to laugh at stuff
- 43:36Speaker 1: you ain't supposed to laugh at. Nowt by that panda,

- 53:09Speaker 1: up and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 53:12Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter. Subject. She called out his name
- 53:16Speaker 1: more than once. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a twenty
- 53:19Speaker 1: seven year old single man, and I love dating beautiful women.
- 53:24Speaker 1: I've been messing around with a close friend of mine.
- 53:26Speaker 1: We're about six months. We've been friends for years, and
- 53:30Speaker 1: then one thing led to another and we had sex.
- 53:33Speaker 1: I knew that if I mess things up, mess this up,
- 53:36Speaker 1: I could lose a friend, so I was careful to
- 53:39Speaker 1: keep her happy. The sex is amazing and everything was
- 53:43Speaker 1: going really great until recently. Two weeks ago, when we
- 53:48Speaker 1: were intimate, she called out her ex boyfriend's name. I
- 53:52Speaker 1: heard it, but it didn't phase me one bit, and
- 53:54Speaker 1: I kept going. I figured that she didn't realize she
- 53:57Speaker 1: said it, so I stay focused on what I was doing.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Then a few minutes later, she said her ex man's
- 54:04Speaker 1: name again. This time I think she realized what she
- 54:07Speaker 1: had said, but I didn't want to make it awkward,
- 54:09Speaker 1: so I kept going and ignored it. Fast forward to
- 54:13Speaker 1: the other night and we were getting it on and
- 54:15Speaker 1: I was really showing out, and yes, she moaned out
- 54:19Speaker 1: her ex's name. Of course I kept going because I
- 54:23Speaker 1: don't care what she calls me. I was not stopping.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Later that night, she texted me and asked why I
- 54:32Speaker 1: wasn't mad about her calling the wrong name and why
- 54:35Speaker 1: I didn't stop. I told her that it's just sex
- 54:38Speaker 1: for me, and because she can't wait. I told her
- 54:41Speaker 1: it was just sex for me, and we're not serious
- 54:43Speaker 1: and we're not dating, so why would I stop just
- 54:45Speaker 1: because she can't remember my name? She was furious with me,
- 54:49Speaker 1: and now we aren't speaking. I don't know what I
- 54:53Speaker 1: did wrong. She's the one that called me the wrong
- 54:56Speaker 1: name more than once while we were having sex, So
- 54:59Speaker 1: how could she be mad at at me? I know
- 55:01Speaker 1: I'm still young and don't fully understand women yet, so
- 55:04Speaker 1: I need you all's advice. I don't understand why she's
- 55:07Speaker 1: so mad at me. I'm hoping we can be friends
- 55:10Speaker 1: again without having sex. Can men and women be friends
- 55:13Speaker 1: after they've been intimate? I do miss her? Please help see.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I think you can. I really do. I think you
- 55:25Speaker 1: can still be friends. That means if you were truly
- 55:29Speaker 1: friends in the first place. I mean, if you were
- 55:31Speaker 1: truly friends. I think you know, after some work, you
- 55:34Speaker 1: guys can work it out and you know, work around
- 55:37Speaker 1: to becoming friends again. I think though, when you said
- 55:40Speaker 1: it's just sex for me, I think you just destroyed
- 55:43Speaker 1: something for her because she was in the moment and
- 55:45Speaker 1: the fantasy. It sounds like she's starting to catch feelings
- 55:49Speaker 1: for you. That's what it sounds like to me, and
- 55:51Speaker 1: for women, you know that can happen even when it
- 55:53Speaker 1: starts out as just casual sex between a man and
- 55:57Speaker 1: a woman. You know, sometimes we get caught up as women.
- 56:01Speaker 1: And yes, she called you her ex's name, but that
- 56:05Speaker 1: was a mistake. That's why she texted you back and
- 56:07Speaker 1: said why didn't you say something? And then you said,
- 56:10Speaker 1: because it was just sex with me, And now she's
- 56:12Speaker 1: mad and you're not speaking. Yeah, you know it'll You're young,
- 56:16Speaker 1: and it will take you a long time, and you
- 56:18Speaker 1: will never understand women. Okay, we're very complicated emotionally. You
- 56:23Speaker 1: may not ever understand us. How she can be having
- 56:26Speaker 1: sex with you, calling someone else's name and you know,
- 56:29Speaker 1: not realizing that she did it and all of that.
- 56:33Speaker 1: You know, you guys just need to, I don't know,
- 56:36Speaker 1: maybe stop having sex for a moment and talk to
- 56:40Speaker 1: each other like friends do and figure out what's going
- 56:43Speaker 1: on amongst you. I know that's probably not going to happen,
- 56:46Speaker 1: but if you want to be friends, you are going
- 56:48Speaker 1: to have to do some work to get the friendship back.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Steve Man Dog, I'm so glad when you wrote this
- 56:56Speaker 1: lad of young Soldier that you said, dear Steve first,
- 57:00Speaker 1: because what Sureley just told you listen to me. The
- 57:06Speaker 1: truth in what she told you was you will never
- 57:10Speaker 1: understand women. They are complicated. Now, that is the takeaway.
- 57:16Speaker 1: But oh, young brother, let me hip you to something
- 57:22Speaker 1: I know. Here we go. Yeah, you've been messing around
- 57:27Speaker 1: with a close friend for about six months. Yeah you know,
- 57:31Speaker 1: we've been friends for years and then one thing led
- 57:35Speaker 1: to another. You didn't want to be her friends for years,
- 57:38Speaker 1: but she was involved, so you be in the low
- 57:42Speaker 1: flying vulture that you are. You circled the caucus until
- 57:46Speaker 1: the relationship died, and you swung in like all vultures
- 57:51Speaker 1: and began to feast. I know the game, brother, I
- 57:55Speaker 1: know the game, brother. And then you try to be kind.
- 57:59Speaker 1: And the letter said, I knew that if I messed
- 58:01Speaker 1: this up, I could lose a friend who you didn't
- 58:05Speaker 1: really want to be your friend anyway, But because you
- 58:08Speaker 1: thought that's all it was, you were willing to accept it.
- 58:13Speaker 1: So I was careful to keep her happy. Sex is amazing,
- 58:17Speaker 1: Everything was going really great into recently. Two weeks ago
- 58:21Speaker 1: we were intimate. She called out her ex boyfriend's name.
- 58:25Speaker 1: She know you know him, she know you know who
- 58:28Speaker 1: he is. First time it was an accident. I heard.
- 58:33Speaker 1: It didn't phase me one bit. I kept going. I
- 58:37Speaker 1: figured if she didn't realize she said it, so I
- 58:40Speaker 1: stayed focused on what I was doing. A few minutes later,
- 58:44Speaker 1: she said an ex man's name again. This time I
- 58:47Speaker 1: think she realized what she had said, but I didn't
- 58:50Speaker 1: want to make an awkward so I kept going and ignored.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Fast forward to the other night, we're getting it on.
- 58:57Speaker 1: I was showing out, clowning, standing up, performing, giving it
- 59:03Speaker 1: all I got. She moaned out her ex name, and you,
- 59:09Speaker 1: being young, you kept going because I don't care what
- 59:11Speaker 1: she called me. I wasn't stopping. And this is where
- 59:15Speaker 1: the letter took a turn, because later that night she
- 59:18Speaker 1: texts me and asked you why I was a man
- 59:20Speaker 1: about her calling me the wrong name. When I come back,
- 59:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna put you on game. Oh I see it, Shelley,
- 59:27Speaker 1: you didn't. All right, we'll be back with part two
- 59:31Speaker 1: if Steve's response coming up Today's Strawberry Letter she called
- 59:34Speaker 1: out his name more than once. We'll be back in
- 59:37Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour right after this. You're listening,
- 59:43Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters
- 59:46Speaker 1: subject she called out his name more than once. Yeah,
- 59:50Speaker 1: let's just stay with the title this man was freem
- 59:53Speaker 1: just girls for years, and finally her relationship broke up
- 59:58Speaker 1: and he talked to her. Next thing, you know, they
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: had sex. It was amazing. He's been this girl been
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: fined to him for years. He's waiting on the relationship
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to die. Did he moved in? They having sex, she
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: calls out her ex's name. They go a little bit further.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Ten minutes later, she called out her ex's name again.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: When young, no, I ain't stopping what I killed, handing
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: my business over here, showing out. Then when the letter
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: this write, the letter took a turn fast forward. The
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: other night, we're getting it on our really showing out. No, now,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: he prouded himself. Now he in hill letting it go.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: What she do? She moaned out her ex's name. What
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: he's saying the letter? Of course I kept going because
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I don't care what she called me. I wasn't stopping.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I know they did that night. She text me and
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: asked me why I wasn't mad about her calling me
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the wrong name and why it didn't stop. Now, listen
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: to me, young man, this is fast for us. See
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: the first night, the first time she did it was
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: an accident. She didn't again, she didn't do it, but
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: then the next time y'all hands sex, she said it again,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: but you didn't stop. You came handling your business. So
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: now she curious, so she texts you and asked you
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: why I wasn't mad about her calling me the wrong name.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: You know why, because she called you that name on
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: purpose because she she was testing you. But then you
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: told her that it's just sex for me and we're
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: not serious and we're not dating. That's because you're young.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: You really do want to get serious with this girl,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: because you always have kind of dug this chick. But
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: since you thought y'all were just friends doing it, you're
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: trying to play a loof like it don't matter to you.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: So now both of y'all didn't got caught playing the game. Now,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: like Shirley said, she didn't called feelings for you, but
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: now she wanted it to be something. But when you said,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: we ain't see it be just dating, so why would
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I stop just because you can't remember my name? She
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: was furious with me. And now we aren't speaking. You
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: know why, she mad, young man, because the girl is
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: really digging you. And when she called you the boyfriend's name,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: the other night, the third time on a different night,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: and you didn't say nothing. Now she's gonna wait a minute,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: why you're not mad? And then when you told her
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: it don't mean nothing, now she crushed and she hurt.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: And now we ain't speaking now here yet now cause
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: you're stupid. Here we go. I don't know what I
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: did wrong. She didn't want called me the wrong name
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: more than once, absolutely, so if it keeps happening more
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: than once, man, don't you get it? She testing you now?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: So how she gonna be mad at me? Because she
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: a woman? I know I'm still young and I don't
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: fully understand woman women, and like Shirley said, you will
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: never so I need you all advice. I don't understand
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: why she's so mad at me because she was sleeping
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: with you in hopes that it would turn into something
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: because she's not to sleep around type girl. And now
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: for you to turn around and say it ain't nothing.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: We just having sex because you're trying to play a
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: loop because you don't know she really want nothing, but
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: she did. Now I'm hoping we can be friends again
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: without having sex. Not bought you real stupid, Now listen
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: to me once you've been in the candy stough eating candy.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: You can't go back in the candy stough and don't
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: won't know more candy. It does not work that way.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Sex is like lais potato chips, Yes it is. You
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: can't eat just one. You can't eat just one? Can
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: men and women be friends after they've been into me?
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Of course they can be friends after they've been into
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: But you ain't gonna ever stop wanting to be intimate
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: because your mind gonna drill. Y'all sitting up watching TV.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: What y'all gonna do while y'all watching TV? It's a commercial?
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: You gonna do it again? Oh, it's a commercial. What
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: y'all gonna do when y'all watching the show? And the
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: show ain't good? Ain't nothing good on TV? What you're doing,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: what you're doing, what you're looking up? What you're looking at?
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Why are you? Why are your hand on mine? While
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: your hand on mine? Yet? Said? You know? It's rattling?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Can men and women be friends after they've been intimate?
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Can become the best of friends? The time I do

- 1:04:46Speaker 1: miss huh? TV? Please help, young man? What you need
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to do throw yourself at the mercy of the court.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Call up and said, you know what, I'm young. I
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: made a huge mistake. I I got more, I got
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: deeper feelings in you. Then I was willing to admit,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: but I was trying to play like I didn't because
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I wanted you so badly, but I didn't think you
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: really wanted me. So I just tried to play the game.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: But yeah, it hurt me because I don't see you.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I miss you, I missed talking to you, I'm miss

- 1:08:19Speaker 1: after the primary all of that, when they finished the
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: debates and everything. Yeah, mmmm, well that was just four
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: years ago too. Let me ask you all something, all right,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: we'll coming up at the top of the hour. Have
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you ever had bad career advice from someone you looked
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: up to? Well, guess what it happened to Eddie Murphy,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: of all people, Eddie Murphy. We'll talk about it right
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, So yesterday, uh, you
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: guys were talking about career moves becoming a comedian. We'll
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: check this out. In a recent interview with w magazine,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy talked about bad career advice. Eddie said, Rodney
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Dangerfield sees me and he's like, hey, kid, I don't
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: know where you're gonna go with that. You know, the
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: language and the race stuff. And I was crestfallen. He said,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Did I sound like Rodney Dangerfield? Yeah. Cut to two
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: three years later, Eddie says, I got on Saturday Night
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Live and I was in Vegas in the bathroom at
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Caesar's Palace. I was at the urinal and Rodney Dangerfield
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: come to the urinal right next to me, and I
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: look over and he looks at me and says, hey,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: who knew Steve. We're gonna say, yeah, any bad career
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: advice from someone you looked up to. We know about
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Miss Blandon and which she tried to do, destroy your career,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: your teacher. I mean, I had a comedian man that
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: I thought was okay. We were doing the John Yoda
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: to his white dude out of a Pittsburgh. I thought
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: he was okay. Man. He had been in the business
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: longer than me, and he flat out told me. He said,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: you're never gonna make it. He said, hey, man, you're
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: at what you're talking about what your mom and dad
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: did to you. Nobody laughs at that, man, because most
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: of our audiences didn't have abusive parents like you. I said, Nah, wait, man,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: my parents weren't abusive. I said, I got some whippings.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Nobody wants to hear that. Man. You got to change
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: your act. Become more modern than mainstream. I can't be
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: talking about the past. And that really hurt me, man,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: because I thought this dude was cool and knew what
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: he was doing. I ignored him, of course, and you
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: know he's nowhere to be found. He's nowhere to be
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: landing fashion. Oh. She told me you'll never be nothing,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: and they're not gonna put nobody on TV like you.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: You can't even talk. She told me that when you
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: were stuttering, they they'll never put a person like you
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: on TV. Look at you, you can't even talk. Wow,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: really talk about a dream killer killer? I mean, do
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: teachers take some type of oath or something that you posted? Yea, yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: and they're no dog you eleven you I'm saying that
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: crushes in front of everybody. Then the kid is snickering
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: and laughing. I'm gonna wait a minute, man, this damn
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: teacher dream killing helper. You know I've had my share.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: You know, I've been told I was too short to
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: the microphone is too They don't make them that low
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: for you to be doing. Stand up? Who you think?
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Tell me who you think crush my little? Who you
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: think did it? Who you think did it when I
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: got when I got to do an Easter speech and
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: missed the cup of land? Who you think was right there?
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: The lawd don't even want cute? I didn't. I didn't
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: had a crush the law. Who are you talking about?
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: I was trying to toughen him up, killing, just trying
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: to get him ready for rejection. You know, yeah, I
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: feel your Timmy, I know why you said that. I
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: just got my feelings crushed yesterday. What do you mean?
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: You know I'm you know, I'm lesser. You know, I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: just find out I'm lesser. You know, people a lot
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: of people doing. You're talking about when Tommy said when
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: he was working with earthquaking d Ellis said that he
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: felt like he had stepped up. Yeah, yeah, right then
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: that right out? Yeah, right after Yeah, damn. Yeah, um
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: it was. Yes, it was just about twenty five days ago.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: You know what I mean. I'm just telling out. That's
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: my first time I ever heard got some bad advice
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: like that. I found out where I still I said,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: happy damn that No, we radio boys. I was a
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: radio boy. I'm just a boy now. Okay, Well right along,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: coming out for today's trending stories right after this you're
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: listening show. All right. So when we left off, we
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: were a question was on the table about bad career
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: advice from someone you looked up to. Junior, you were saying,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I'm just telling I'm telling my mom, and I said, Mom,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: young Bleeds, I'm doing a show with Time down the
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Angle Bleds. I was so excited my lee the time, man,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I look up work with Math. I'm glad to seem
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: when I got to the city and everything. And then
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Tommy asked, just told me that I was just lesser. Man,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: what's up, Junior? When you found out that when he
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: worked with Kings Earthquake and Dion Cold that made him
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: feel more And yeah, you know, how how did you
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: feel when you first heard that? Man? When I first
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: hit it, I was like, what the hell you mean
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: mo like my ass wasn't nothing like. I wasn't mote.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: It was so put on an excellent shop whole nine
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: and then anyway man. Yeah, but it wasn't asking next
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: to it. No, it wasn't. Let me tell you something,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: he's crushing my dream before he's crushing you three telling
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: you remember the two we did the last two up.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I didn't act like I was mote when I was
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: on that. I didn't and it was just being on
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: that hey dog, But did not treat you like you
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: was mo. Yes you did wow, so home every single night.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Yes we did it. Call, Yes, you did up. You
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: know how I got to the show and fill it up.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I'm outside with ignorant show coming up, and we'll have
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: some clay at thirty three minutes after the hour when
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: we come back. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: President's Impeachment Trials session began, and Democrats want to make
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: sure that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will not rush
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: through it. The Democratic senators want to hear firsthand witnesses
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: to get all of the facts on their witness list.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick mulvaney, Robert Blair,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: senior advisor to mulvaney, Michael Duffy, Associate director for National
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Security at the Office of Management and Budget, and former
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: National security advisor John Bolton. Remember now, it's going to
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: take a supermajority of sixty seven votes to convict the president.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: If Trump is removed from office under the twenty fifth Amendment,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Mike Pence then would become our president. We're not gonna happen.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: I want to tell you something. It will be worse.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: It will be worse. People say that. I don't see no,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: because this guy, I don't know how you can get worse,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: because he feels the same way Donald Trump does, and
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: he knows how to go about it in a slicker way.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: We're in trouble with either one of those folks. But
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: let me tell you what the real problem is here.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: How can you have a fair trial? But Mitch McConnell
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: doesn't want to allow witnesses being called. If that's a
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: farce in no court system can you have a trial
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: and no one prosecutor or defense can call any witnesses.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: That that doesn't make any sense. Man. That's the worst
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: his most hypocritical government we've ever had, and they're all
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: doing it because they're afraid of Donald Trump. They are
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: afraid of him the party, and that's the farest wind
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: right now. Man, Yeah, there's a few, there are a
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: few rep Republicans that we need to watch her. Yeah,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: and that's Mitch Romney, you know, Mitt. I'm not met
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Mitt Romney. Um, he's not a big fan of Trump's
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Oh not at all. How many we need to turn
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: sixty seven seven votes to convict to throw him out
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: of office because he's already been impeached in the House,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I'm not I don't know the number, but the majority
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: of the Republicans would have to turn supermajority of sixty
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: seven vote that's what they need. Okay, let me ask
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: you a question. How many votes is in total? Does
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: anybody know? Because I surely don't how many votes total?
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: And the hundred in the right, I don't know, don't
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: forgets per state senators, per state, right, you could get
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: sixty seven if they didn't have to raise they ain't
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: if they could get to write it out and put
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: it in a box. The fact that they're gonna Tommy
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: when if they could go into booth like we're going
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: all right, coming up our last break of the day
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: and some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Harvey coming up at forty nine minutes after right after
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: this you're listening to show all right, guys, here we
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: are our last break of the day. While this day
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: went fast, huh oh man, it really did. And it
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: was a great day home day yep, yep, yep. And
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: we have our one and only fearless leader, our captain
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: to take us home with some closing remarks to get
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: us through the day. Steve, I think I decided to
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: do something a little bit different today. I want to
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: give you a bullet point list of things to consider
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: on your journey in twenty twenty. I want to give
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: you some bullet points to protect yourself as you're climbing
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: the letter to success. These bullet points are things that
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: all of us will can and have experienced, and they
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: come over and over and over at different levels in
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: different times. Now. The things I'm about to share with
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: you are not the only things, and I don't have
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: them in any particular order. I just wanted to share
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: them with you. These are what I call dream crushes.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: Can't tell you how many people I know who've had
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: wonderful aspirations and dreams and got started, and they allowed
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: these dreams to get crushed. And I know a lot
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: of them. Now I'm not I'm not gonna name all
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: of them, but I'm gonna name some of them. And
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I want you all to think about them as I
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: list them, so you can be on guard for them
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: in twenty twenty, because they are coming. Oh don't you
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: think for one moment that they are not coming. These
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: are some of the dream crushes that you'll encounter. The
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: first one I simply called background chatter. Somehow, when you're
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: on your way, you hear the murmuring in the crowd,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: You hear the nay says. You just hear this constantly.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: He hear she come again. Oh Hey, how you doing? Oh?
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Here he come with that old crazy Have you seen
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: what he thought he was gonna be? Anybody y'all seeing
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: his dream board? It's so crazy. Hey, how you doing? Man?
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: That's all right. And you hear stuff like this, I
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: call it background chatter. It can be very very rough
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: if you get it on a constant basis. Those are
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: one of the dream crushers. Be very very careful. Here's
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: another dream dream crusher. Comparisons to others. See when you're
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: building your house, when you're building your road, when you're
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: building your building, don't look across the street at the
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: other house, the other structure, and the other building. First
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: of all, you don't know what's under the foundation of
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: what appears to be a grand building. Now you're trying
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: to build your solid on a great foundation, rock by rock,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: level by level. But you're looking over there as somebody
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: halfway up with the skyride, and you try to figure
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: out why it's taking you so long. You don't you
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: don't even know that they didn't build that on saying,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: you don't even know that there's no flooring behind it,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: that it ain't nothing but a shell. Be careful of
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: comparing your building to others, because what you see across
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: the street might not be the same. Those are dream crushes.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Here's another one, a well time setback. Right when you
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: think things are going along, all of a sudden, something
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: just pops up. You know what that is. That's called life.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: It just surfaces. It's surfaces for all of us, y'all.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: It's just life. It's nothing aimed directly at you. It's
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: not but just not resigned and particularly your situation. Everybody
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: got up well time, setbacks, crushed dreams all the time.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Be ready because in twenty twenty there will be some
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Here's another one. I want you to be careful, love
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: watch out for statistics. Statistics were designed by people who
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: were failing to justify their failing One out of every
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: four hundred, you know, only two in a million. Ever,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: get I wouldn't play that lotto because the only person
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: to hit is they say, is one in two hundred
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and eighty five million chances. Statistics stop so many people
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: because they keep putting yourself in the one. You either
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: put yourself in the one, or you put yourself in
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: the group. You know, one out of every two thousand
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: comedians making on the Johnny Carson Show. That was the
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: stat I heard way back when I got started, man
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: only one. And if people started looking at themselves, that's
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: the one thousand and nine hundred and ninety nine. Now
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: you know what I did. I looked at myself as
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: just the one. Statistics are dream crushes. Here's another one
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: right here, social media comments. Beware those people don't know you.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: They really don't. They know nothing about you. Matter of fact,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: they only have one design in mind, and that is
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: to discourage you. Social media comments are a big dream crusher.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Be careful of Facebook. Everybody wanted to be your friends
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: and ain't your friend. Watch out. It could be a
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: possible dream crusher on Facebook. You didn't get no likes,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: you didn't get no comment, they didn't befriend you, they
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: didn't like your picture. They didn't tell you about it.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Everybody got to notice about the party. But you dream crushes,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: be very careful. Here's another one. Stop talking to small
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: minded people. They are dangerous dream crushes. If you want
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: to kill a big dream, tell it to a small
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: minded person. Be very careful. Oh, here's another one that's
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: a dream crusher. They're called fair weather friends. Sometimes they're
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: good with you, sometimes they ain't. They just friendly when
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: it's sunny, But when they get dark and gloomy outside,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: you can't find them. They are potential dream crushes. Get
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: rid of them. Be aware of them. In twenty twenty
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: very quickly. Well meaning relatives, Oh, one of the greatest
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: dream crushes of all time. Well meaning relatives, Be careful
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: because all your relatives don't really don't mean well. Sorry,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: they are dream crushes at last, But not least yourself.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: Don't let yourself be your biggest dream crushes. With things
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: ain't going right, pray about it, get it turned around.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks today. Be aware of the
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: dream crushes in twenty twenty. All right, Mike profound that
